Zelensky Defies Trump as Ukraine Escalates Strikes on Russian Refineries

The transcript critiques Donald Trump’s proposed diesel deal with Russia, highlighting its lack of economic feasibility and diplomatic legitimacy. Despite claims of a massive Russian diesel supply, experts argue the volume is negligible—equating to less than half a day’s worth of global demand—given Russia’s limited refining capacity and ongoing strikes. The deal is seen as a political maneuver to weaken international alliances and undermine Ukraine’s security. Ukrainian President Zelensky denounced the move, exposing it as a deception using diplomatic meetings in Miami as a cover for secret negotiations. He emphasized that any ceasefire must be reciprocal, not unilateral. Meanwhile, Ukrainian drone strikes have targeted key Russian refineries, including the Nov Shostinka terminal, signaling a significant escalation in hostilities. The U.S. lifted sanctions on Russian diesel, but this move is viewed as politically motivated rather than economically sound. The transcript also points out that Trump lacks legal authority to import Russian oil under existing U.S. law, which requires Russia to withdraw from Ukraine. The broader message is one of growing tension and strategic betrayal, with Zelensky preparing for a major military offensive and warning that the conflict will escalate. The narrative underscores the dangers of short-sighted energy diplomacy and the erosion of trust among allies.

We will not stop. That was the message from President Zelensky of Ukraine and his team last night following Donald Trump's announcement of the diesel deal with Putin whereby the Trump regime said it would be importing diesel from Russia this month and over the coming months. Decremlin issued the following read out. During the phone call, neither Putin nor Trump wanted to hang up first. Zelensky called out Donald Trump last night for being weak. Donald Trump was called out by Zelensky for using the Ukrainian negotiating team that showed up in Miami as a smoke screen for deceit so that Donald Trump could tap them along while doing this deal with Putin. And then the Trump regime leaked to Barak Reveed at Axios that Zelensky is misreading the room. By continuing to hit refineries, he is eroding the goodwill that he has built with Trump for the last six months. You're saying that he built goodwill with Trump for the past six months? It seems like for the past six months. Donald Trump was tapping Zelensky along saying that the United States would give Zelensky Patriot Interceptors or Interceptor Licenses only for Donald Trump to pull the rug right as we got to the autumn and then the winter offensive that Putin is planning. Now, Zelensky is actually striking back not just with words, but we saw last night the Nov Shostink's oil terminal in Russia's Rostov region burning down following a Ukrainian drone attack. Now, this facility handles the storage and export of refined petroleum products with a stated annual capacity of 3.5 million tons. And that came right after Donald Trump and his regime were bragging about the oil deal or the diesel deal with Russia. And when Trump was in Syracuse, New York, he was saying, oh, what a deal. We're going to get all this diesel from Russia. Let me show you what it looked like as the large fire broke out. You can see for yourself, Rostov at the moment, play this clip. More from Rostov right here after the Ukrainian drone strikes. You can see this for yourself. Now, you can also see over here Russian air defenses intercepting a Ukrainian long range kamikaze drone over here near the Moscow region. Show you this, as you can see it. And then this footage was made available early yesterday right before Donald Trump made the announcement with Putin of a man narrowly escaping a Russian drone strike on the grounds of a kindergarten in Ukraine's Kyiv region yesterday. Play this clip. And then this is what it looked like last night in Kyiv so you can see for yourself. Let's play it. Now, folks, in the past 48 hours, there were about 80 Ukrainian civilians who were killed by Russian strikes. And that's right around the time that Donald Trump announced this deal. Now, we went into some of the terms of the deal like with every Trump deal. It's usually fake. And so as you go and look at the specifics of what Donald Trump was actually saying, it turns out that it ain't actually all that much diesel. So Trump wrote, I've just concluded a highly successful discussion with Putin of Russia, wherein it was agreed that Russia will immediately supply over 300,000 tons of diesel fuel to the American and global marketplace, another 500,000 tons during the month of November. And one million tons immediately thereafter. And if you just go through these numbers, what it really means is 2.2 million barrels for the entire world market in October. And then about 3.7 million barrels in November assuming that Russia even has surplus diesel, which a lot of people don't even think they have this capacity given the Ukrainian strikes. And this won't even make a dent in terms of the kind of worldwide capacity that's needed in terms of diesel usage. I mean, you're talking about a few hours of diesel right there for Donald Trump to basically say to any remaining ally, a few basically, right? I mean, just think about it. The Trump regime used as a pretext for tariffing India, that India was buying Russian oil. And that's why it said tariffs on India, then the Trump regime threatened any other ally. If you do any deals with Russia, if you import any Russian oil, we're going to tariff you 100%. That was Donald Trump's threats to Europe, Donald Trump's threats to the world. Donald Trump gave a speech to the United Nations in 2025, where Donald Trump mocked NATO allies for funding the war against themselves with Russian energy purchases. Hungary, Slovakia, France, Belgium and Spain remain Europe's top importers of Russia's energy product. But when you actually broke it down, that's the state regime media headline. It was really at that time, Hungary and Slovakia, when Orban was leading Hungary. And in Slovakia, where they had a more Russian-aligned leadership over there, and now Trump does this. Now, here's what Donald Trump said when he was speaking in Syracuse. You can hear what he had to say for yourself. "Races right now, we want we're getting them so much oil, and by the way, today Russia agreed to send us millions and millions of barrels of oil, and it's diesel. That's what we really need." So, thank you. And then there's also the question about, well, I'll give you the answer to the question. The question, "Was this even legal? Does Donald Trump have the authority to make a deal like this, and then post it via social media?" He absolutely does not. There is the Russian oil, the ending importation of Russian oil act, which became law in 2022. Specifically, prohibits the importation of Russian energy products into the United States. The president can lift the ban on Russian oil imports only if Russia won, has reached an agreement to withdraw its forces, and cease military hostilities in Ukraine, too, poses no immediate military threat to any NATO member. Which of these conditions has Russia met, Mr. President? This one individual asks. Now, Zelensky has said, "Look, we are willing to stop striking Russian refineries, but we will not do it on a unilateral basis. If Putin agrees to stop striking Ukrainian power infrastructure, and Ukrainian infrastructure will stop striking refineries." And then the Trump regime said, "Absolutely not. You need to unilaterally agree to stop striking the Russian refineries without any commitments by Russia." Zelensky would not do that. According to Barakrovite over at Axios, the Trump regime kept on pressing Zelensky for that. That was one of the reasons that Whitkov and Kushner were in Kiev to basically make that threat. So Whitkov and Kushner were in Kiev to make the threat to Zelensky. You need to unilaterally stop striking the Russian refineries while they were in Russia trying to cut deals to import Russian diesel and also to acquire Russian foreign assets in the Luke oil, the Russian oil company, with mega billionaires and royal families in Abu Dhabi, who are close with Kushner and Whitkov. And then they also wanted to talk about Nord Stream pipeline deals that the Trump regime can get there, or Donald Trump could get his hands on some of that money right there. Now, there was this meeting taking place in Miami, and that's why Zelensky said, "You use this meeting as a smokescreen where some of Zelensky's top people were in Miami meeting with Whitkov." coffee and Kushner, and they were given no notice that Donald Trump was going to post that all they were told is there may be some announcement about sanctions. So Ukraine thought, well, are you going to impose the Lindsey Graham sanction act on Russia because there was a bipartisan delegation in Ukraine yesterday. You had led by Senator Wicker, a Maga Republican Senator, he was there with Zelensky talking about implementation of the Lindsey Graham sanctions act, which is still, I guess, discretionary, which never should have been written this way with respect to what Donald Trump can do to take care that laws be faithfully executed. Then Donald Trump makes that announcement. Blind sides, the Ukrainian delegation there, blind sides, the American bipartisan delegation that was in Ukraine. And then these Zelensky delegation and Miami's like, we're out. They were supposed to be a second day of meetings today in Miami. They left, they're not going to be meeting, of course, with the Trump regime officials who they believe was were setting them up. And then Whitcoff, I mean, Whitcoff is just a big scumbag. And you look, I mean, we know that, but you think about how all these scumbag oligarchs made all their money. It's by behaving the way we see right here. Imagine if this is the way they're behaving at this level, imagine how they can imagine how these vile freaking scumbags, right, these real pieces of, you know what, how they dealt with people on real estate deals and just day to day business, right? These are real garbage, worst character human beings. And this is how they've amassed all this wealth and have screwed you and so many people other. It's so damn true. So I'm screwed so many others. This is what Whitcoff posts. He has the audacity to post this after everything we've just talked about. Today, representatives from the United States, the E3, the European Commission, Ukraine and NATO met in Miami and held constructive discussions on potential avenues to de-escalate and conclude the war with Russia ahead of winter and advance efforts toward a durable and lasting peace, right? Like F, U, U, peace of garbage. The discussion covered a broad range of issues, including near term measures related to winter, preparedness, energy reliance, resilience, grains, exports, security guarantees, as well as longer term arrangements for Ukraine and Europe security to prevent future conflicts and support Ukraine's post-war reconstruction and economic prosperity, including EU ascension. The exchange was productive and helped identify areas for further exploration ahead of the United States next engagement with Russia. Participants reaffirmed their shared commitment to continuing diplomatic efforts toward a sustainable peace that strengthens security and creates opportunities for lasting stability and prosperity. That's what he posted yesterday late afternoon, early evening, where everything went down. How utterly phony and pathetic are these people? It's really just wild. Now, Zelensky is preparing now a massive, massive offensive. Things are going to escalate and they're going to escalate fast. Zelensky saying, we're not stopping. Refineries are burning down. We see the game even more clearly now. And by the way, Russia, though, has its guarantors and guarantives and Iskender, crews and ballistic missiles and North Kareem and they're going to rain those down on Ukraine and we're seeing massive escalation. Now, this is what's being reported. Ukraine will escalate drone and cruise missile strikes on Russia's energy and oil infrastructure throughout the autumn and winter with Ukrainian military sources saying the Trump administration's attempt to use Russia's diesel to lower U.S. prices before the midterms will bear no fruit. The U.S. lifted sanctions as you know on Russian diesel yesterday authorizing the imports through April 2027. After Trump announced, Russia would supply a total of 4.8 million tons of diesel if it all goes through in the different trench tranches that were discussed. Russia's refineries are the supply of those strikes would be aimed at at more than 51% of Russia's total oil refining capacity is already offline. So most people believe that Russia doesn't even have the surplus diesel to even export 51% of its offline, even if they did it, even if it was the maximum amount of envisioned diesel through April 2027, it will be enough for less than half a day's worth of diesel. That's all we're talking about and for what? For what? For the Trump regime to finally basically give the coup d'état to any alliance to any semblance of, you know, to fully basically say the U.S. under the Trump regime is allied with Putin and nobody else. That's the message that was sent and for very actually little diesel as well. So we're going to keep you posted every step of the way here. Zelensky is not backing down and Putin is going to continue and this thing is going to escalate. Remember, by the way in 2024, remember when Donald Trump said, I'd be able to resolve this war in 24 hours, he said, he said, I got magic words. Remember, he said that I've got the magic words. And I will tell this to Zelensky. And I will tell it to Putin. And I could resolve this right away. Really, well, here we are in late October, mid October, October 10th, late 2026. And your strategy was what? Your strategy was to just import Russian oil. That's it. I'll show you what some of the people commented to me on some of my videos. So Trump causes diesel prices to skyrocket by attacking Iran and attempts to fix the crisis he created by buying diesel from Russia while the entire free world boycotts Russia for invading Ukraine based on Trump telling them to boycott Russia while Russia provides Iran with weapons and technology to strike the United States. What the F is wrong with the USA? How could anyone support this insanity? Someone else says, nothing says energy independence like buying Russian diesel. WTF is the name of the book WTF America. It's me and my brothers. We dedicated it to you. FAQs

Wise is a platform that helps users send, spend, and receive money in over 40 currencies. It offers transparent exchange rates similar to those seen on Google, helping users avoid hidden fees and save money on international transfers.

Yes, some providers may claim no fees but still charge extra costs or use unfavorable exchange rates. Wise avoids these by offering exchange rates that match what users typically see online.

Zelensky criticized Trump for using the Ukrainian delegation in Miami as a smokescreen to negotiate a diesel deal with Russia, calling it deceitful and undermining Ukraine's security and diplomatic efforts.

The deal is not realistic, as Russia lacks the surplus diesel to meet the proposed volumes. Additionally, it is legally invalid under U.S. law, which bans Russian energy imports unless specific military conditions are met.

Ukrainian drone attacks targeted key Russian refineries, including the Nov Shostinka terminal, which handles 3.5 million tons of refined products annually, disrupting Russia’s energy supply and signaling a strategic escalation.

No, Trump did not have the authority. The U.S. law banning Russian energy imports requires Russia to withdraw its military forces and cease hostilities in Ukraine—conditions not met under the current situation.
