Zaslow Has a Stye In His Eye | Local Hour

The conversation begins with a humorous and personal discussion about "styles" – painful eye infections – with Zaz recounting a traumatic high school case requiring surgery. This leads into a broader critique of media claims, such as Greg Cody’s alleged plagiarism of catchphrases from Uncle Dick, which is dismissed as factually flawed. The panel then evaluates the Miami Dolphins’ defensive improvements and individual performances, noting real progress despite skepticism about long-term gains. A major point of contention arises over the NHL’s secrecy around injuries, particularly Barca’s, with the panel arguing it’s outdated, unprofessional, and detrimental to fairness. The discussion also turns to Tyler Hero’s comments about trade rumors, with concern that Heat fans are unfairly vilifying him despite his accomplishments. The hosts highlight the need for respectful, evidence-based discourse in sports media, contrasting it with sensationalism and misinformation. Throughout, the tone remains playful and reflective, blending personal anecdotes with sharp observations on media integrity, player culture, and the importance of transparency in sports reporting. The show concludes with a call for professionalism, accountability, and balanced judgment in how athletes and teams are portrayed.

- Zez, what's going on with your eye? - You noticed? (laughing) You look like you just spoke of a World War I battlefield. - I got a style, Dan. I got a style today. I felt it coming yesterday, and I'm like, damn it. And then I woke up this morning, and I got a style. - How often do you get those? - Not that often. I don't know, once or twice, maybe twice a year? - Not that often. - That's pretty often. Put it on the pole at Levitard show, is getting a style twice a year often? - Is that contagious or not? 'Cause you're sitting next to me at the breakfast table. I don't want that in my hand. - No, man, I'm not gonna take this matter of you. - I've asked you for questions. - You say though that that's not that often. Getting a style once a year sounds to me pretty often. Once or twice a year, like, I've never had a style of any kind. - No, really? - Yeah, I don't know what a style is. I mean, it's essentially, like, it's like an infection. - Put on the pole, Juju. Do you know what a style is? And also put on the pole, have you had a style? Has anyone other than Zaz in this room had a style? - I've had one in my life. But one or two a year. - I never. - No, never. Was that like a pimple inside your eyelid? - Yeah, but it hurts like a bastard. Let's pop that thing. No, you can't do that. - You can't do it. - It's gonna ooze into your eye. - When I was in high school, I used to get styes as part of like the acne that I would get. And when I'd get really stressed out, I would get them. And I eventually, with one style that lasted for several months, had to get it surgically removed, in which they clamped my eyes open, and just sliced open my eye. And I had to watch the blood splurred everywhere. It was terrible. It's one of the most scarring things in my entire life. - Classic one upper story. - It's just the truth. What do you want to do? - Slices eyeball open. - It was actually two of them. But we, you know, we can-- - You would get them from stress? - I would get them from stress. - You were like, Chris Elliott and something about Mary. You just got outside-- - You ever got a stye on your eye? - He just got outside by Jeremy. - In a way that was pretty dramatic. Like he made Zazlow seem silly by comparison, where he's surgically having his eyes held open and watching the blood spurred across his face. That's the worst stye story I've ever heard. I've never heard of one worse than that. - What if you saw a call in line? Make a call if you got a worse one. Call it in. - How much worse could it possibly be than their clockwork arranging your eyes open and then slicing it so that all you can see with your open eyes is your own blood spurting and fountain form across your face. We also have a controversy today. Apparently the catchphrases of Greg Cody, many of them are stolen from Uncle Dick. Uncle Dick on the recent episode of Greg Cody, the Greg Cody show featuring Greg Cody, has claimed that 12 of the phrases in the catchphrase countdown are stolen and then he gives 11 examples of the phrases that were stolen. There is no 12th. They don't have a fact checker on that show. They skipped right past the fact that he didn't actually have 12 accusations, but he claims there are 12 that are stolen and he tried to prove it with 11 of them. Chris, is it real? That it seemed real to you that Uncle Dick of Dick's roughwriters believes that his younger brother has stolen an assortment of catchphrases. Greg just gave the back of the hand wave. - I would say half of them, he has a good case that he set him before my dad and my dad kind of perloined them from him and the other half, he has no, he's just full of shit. - You are listening to The Down Laboratory Show in partnership with The Draft King Sports Act. Now live in all 50 estates. (upbeat music) - I wanna get us off to a rip roaring start. So let's do what we have never done before. Let's open the show with the useless sound montage. (upbeat music) - Not freaking love that guy, I love everything he's about. Like you wouldn't want that guy in your foxhole then you're in the wrong foxhole. - I mean the fight I'm talking about our team was what you wanna see in a win and there's times that you find it in loss. - We have to be opportunistic. - When we have these opportunities. - You know we have an opportunity with the hat on our head we gotta go make it. - Gotta demand it from yourself. Starts with the man in the mirror. Probably the guy's fault. Nobody blinked when we were over there on the sideline and they scored and went up. - They didn't bat an eye, nobody flinched, nobody blinked. - I think we were all just chopping at the tree. We kept chopping, fixing the things. - For us the only stat we care about is the win column. - All hands on deck, it's a group effort to get these wins. - We competed in a full 60 minutes and found a way to get a win. - It stinks. - Obviously a great performance, I'm proud of it. We just kept chopping at the tree and they showed. - We know it's gonna come down to four quarters, maybe a fifth quarter if possible. - Yeah, I mean it stinks. - Yeah, now he was ripping and roaring ready to go. - You wanna put your best foot forward. - I cannot believe we're in Tottenham Stadium, like this is so cool. - Man, we just gotta stop at wagons. - The coach always says don't lie to the whole coach trip. - We had our opportunities in the last two weeks, but they don't certainly season on or get anything. - And then they showed Wayne Rooney, and so we, you know, I like looking up at Wayne Rooney, like he's watching us. - They taught to be a one-play warrior. - It's a move, not a sprint. - The win in the NFL is dang hard, man. - These are two very good offenses that we play against, but that's not excuse at all. - Gotta find a way to learn from this and move it in the back of our brain. - Gotta be crispy with communication in and out of the huddle. - Big does, big does, big does. - I had some tea for dinner yesterday. Jasmine's silver tip, so I was just like, hopefully everyone else has had it before, so I had to show the world. Hey, I had some really good tea. - We're slowly just tightening all the screws. - That's what winning teams do. You know, they find ways to win games. That's why they're winning teams. - Honestly, I'm not a big robber, guys. - You know, Sammy's tough as crap. - Man, we need it. We need it a week. - I definitely don't think we hit the panic button. - They battled their tail off, and our guys battled their tail off, and that's what this is all about. - You know, you put in your bank and your experiences, good and bad, you learn from it. Just keep playing, just keep playing. Tough times don't last, tough people do. - It'd be the same person every single day. I don't care how bad things can get or how good things are. If you're not the same person every single day, you're not staying true to yourself. - It stinks. - You know, we gotta ramp him up, give him a ramp up period. - At the end of the day, we had our opportunities. - It's not every one's day, every Sunday. That's the hard part about it. There's only one football. - I love a big game. You know what I'm saying? I feel like every game is a big game because we're in it. - I wanted this game. I don't think we needed this game. - I think a great teacher is the bench. - You know, the Frangeria Red Zone. Now this field gets a little smaller. Just a little shorter. Now they got to really be on there. They're peeping cute for execution. - No one's second or two. No one's full back at herself. I believe we'll be able to flip the coin. - Gotta keep believing and then you gotta do. Keep doing, keep believing, keep doing. Keep believing, keep doing, keep believing, keep doing. - The last year his bread isn't gonna feed us this year. - I would say that nobody's gonna outwork his. Proper. That's okay. - I'm sure everybody's new trying to get down here and new stadium and everything else. - I remember in college goes the day he's always say, "You know, you have to be an iPhone. You have to upgrade every year." - I thought we did a better job with running. - Run in the football. - We have a word in our family, the team. God for this. - Was that Josh Allen saying four times it stinks? I think we don't need any other commentary from Bill's Patriots. We have in our midst Greg Cody says, "Who is saying in print and elsewhere, although he doesn't appear in print anymore." So, Substack is not actually in print. - What's Substack? - No longer in print. He is positive about the Miami Dolphins. He says he sees improvement every week. He is the only person in America who is saying this. - No, I don't think so. They should have beaten Minnesota. I mean, they had a long touchdown pass negated because someone stepped out of bounds by-- - Yeah, the guy who caught it. - No one really did step out of bounds. He could have stayed in bounds and he stepped out of bounds before catching the ball, which is illegal. - Yeah, and that's the Dolphins fault, but the point is they should have won that game. They outplayed Minnesota defensively, I thought, and, you know-- - They did? - How did they outplay them defensively? - They had fewer than a hundred yards passing. - Dolphins defense was the only defense on the field that didn't give up a touchdown. They had four sacks. - Wait a minute, Kyler Murray's only had one touchdown in 23 drives. - I know, he's a board of anybody. - And Huckinson slid at the one game. - Yeah, like Greg, he took a knee at the one. - Yeah, there were two bad offenses on the field. I'll give you that. - Where are you coming with the analysis from other than just strictly homer-dom, where they're O and four, they haven't had a lead all season and you have them improving in every game just because they played a close game against Minnesota in which Minnesota actively did not score a touchdown that was right there to be scored. - Right, and the Dolphins had a touchdown negated by a quarter of an inch. - Because they did something illegal. - Okay. - That, that, that, that, that, nobody disputes that Chris Bell did something illegal there. The field, illegality, maybe a bit strong. - The field is the same length and width every single week. - Okay. - You gotta stay in bounds before you touch the football. - If you don't see incremental improvement by the Dolphins from week one to, to this past Sunday, you're not looking hard enough. - Well, where is it? So give an example. - There's examples all over the field. I mean, we, we just saw Ollie Gordon, the backup running back. Actually, the third string running back, rushed for 100 yards on nine carries. The, the defense, as I mentioned, had four sacks after having zero in the first three games. Zack Siler had two and Chop Robinson had probably the best game of his career to reignite confidence that he has a future. Rodriguez, the rookie linebacker, Jacob Rodriguez, has been fantastic. He's one of the defensive rookies. They are a seven and a half point dog at home against Cincinnati. It doesn't have its two wide receivers, correct? Both T Higgins and. I think they're, I'm sure at least one of them is going to play. The one place I would go and I, I think the Dolphins have gotten progressively worse so far in these four games. Really? Yeah. But you're looking at it with one eye though. I'm looking at it with both my eyes. I have no style. You're a style guy. Go on. What were you saying? The one angle that I would take if I wanted to be positive about what's going on with Dolphins right now is the four games that they've lost, the Raiders are three and one, the Niners are four know, the Chiefs are four know, the Vikings are four and the only loss is because they played each other like two teams that they've played have played right. Correct. So like again, I don't know if that should give the Dolphins credit, but they probably played the hardest schedule through four games. Sure. Yeah. That's fair. That's fair. The schedule continues harder, but the idea that some people are already talking about Oh and 17 is preposterous on the face of it. It's at the very least it's a gregiously premature too soon. It's silly soon. You know what? I'm going to jump in here mid cough. I'm going to defend my dad here. I think they win this week against the Bengals. What? It wasn't such a let down spot. I'm telling you this Dolphins see I'm with my dad. They have done for who? They've been competing for the Bengals. This is a classic Bengals let down spot where you go in. You're a seven and a half point favorite. All right. Our guys are banged up. We're playing the Dolphins. This is roll the ball out there and then they lose 21 20. Can you have a let down after a lot? I don't think you guys understand how a let down works. It's not a let down. I don't really think that that's the way that that works. That's an overlooking let down. There you go. Let down is when you've had a game that's been very emotional played well that you've won. Yeah. And then the following week you overlook and you know what's weird about that is that let down and let up should be opposites, but they basically both mean the same thing. I don't think the Bengals will let down or let up because they're coming off a loss. What about will they overlook? I don't think so. No, not coming off a loss. You really gave that a pondered thought like you really you really entertained that question very seriously. You got it. And you have to do you. I believe that the Dolphins okay are being the money is telling you. Okay. The money is telling you when they're a more than touchdown underdog at home that the money's not seeing a great deal of improvement. There aren't going to be a lot of teams in the sport this week that are an underdog of more than a touchdown at home. Tampa was playing its second quarter back against Green Bay and they were a three point dog at home. You're not going to find a whole lot on the schedule. Go ahead and look at the schedule this week Tony and give me all the other home teams that are more than a touchdown underdog at home. And Cincinnati is pretty hurt as well. Yeah, I do think it's it's a very early line. I predict it's going to go from seven and a half to six and a half, which is a huge point. But I just I bet it goes up. Do you? Yeah. Oh, I don't think so. I'll make a little bet on that. How much? The Dolphin lines every dollar have gone down over the course of the week just because they start so high and football tends to have just a ton of close games. Cowboys are nine and a half point favorite at home on Thursday night against the books. The Titans are the only team that are Texans on the road in Tennessee. Seven seven point favorite. The answer to your question is the only team that is a home dog of more than seven points is a Tennessee Titans and the Dolphins. Speaking of the Titans, let's get to some sound of cam ward being testy with the media. This has to be just a frustrating experience coming after what it is that cam ward experienced at the university of Miami. Yes, Chris. I believe he's walking into a press conference room that has I he addresses one guy. So I don't know how many people, but it's it's not enough to meet his friends. Let's see what we hear here. Okay, oh, everybody here. At least I'll do some good questions. I got three minutes for a walk out. Come on, Cam. He needs to be more aware of what's going on in that spot, but at the same time, like there's one media member there who's serving some sort of punishment from hell that he has to to partake in a lifetime covering sports and gets the Titans as is a sign. I mean, Jeff Haffley didn't threaten to walk out. What was a heat media day there? He's saying there's one person there to try. It's Troy. It's not even the assembled media. It's just Troy. Like he's saying, he's got it's saying. We should talk to Troy. He's saying Troy's got three minutes. I'm not sure that we just didn't do cam ward dirty by playing that sound. That's not sound worthy of being played on our show because he got testy with Troy. He said Troy had three minutes for his questions. What are you going to ask him ward at this point? Honestly, like the experience, the back and forth, but okay, I don't think it's possible to make an accurate assessment of what your quarterback is when the Tennessee Titans are what it is that you have. The Tennessee Titans are not the Atlanta Falcons. We saw the Atlanta Falcons game last night. Are they good? Well, offensively, their skill positions are obviously good and the difference between Cooper, Rush and Michael Penex is pretty enormous. When you look at the Michael Penex numbers, okay, when they had Cooper, Rush, they had the fewest yards that they were terrible with seven turnovers. Okay, they were the worst team in the league. They couldn't score at all. And then the last couple of games, they put up 80 points. They're scoring 40 points a game and they got 459 yards per game and one turnover. And between college and the pros, this is from ESPN research, Penex is averaged 33 points a game and his 59 starts. Like when Penex is healthy with those skill guys, that offense is formidable. I said after week two that the Saints had my undivided attention, they no longer have any kind of my attention. My attention has been taken away now for the Saints. Yeah, well, it's not just divided. It's evaporated. My attention has gone. Saints fans were booing last night. They left early. They were really frustrated with their team. They love that rivalry and that was embarrassing. It was totally embarrassing. And I want to say this, you're right about Penex. He's played very well since his return from injury and London is a really good receiver. One of the top tier receivers in the league who doesn't get enough credit, but Bijon Robinson is the best running back the NFL has seen since Barry Sanders in terms of in terms of you can't tackle that guy. The moves he makes, the moves he makes with Derek Henry. I understand that. And everybody's talking about is Derek Henry the greatest ever. And they should because he's late enough in his career where he's fully formed. He's got all the numbers. Bijon Robinson is just getting started. And if he remains healthy 10 years from now, what I just said is going to be the word across the land. Oh, what? Okay, I usually go into the breach with you and a lot of subjects. This one, I have a hard time peeking my head out of the foxhole. Okay, because there's other running backs right now actively that are just as good. If not better than Bijon Robinson. Don't tell me, Jimmy. I'm going to tell you, Jimmy. It's good. Don't tell me. Bijon Robinson is better than Jimmy or Gipsy. I've seen them both. I've seen them too. You've seen them both with both your eyes. Yes. My eyes are wide open. Unlike some people. I will not object to saying that Bijon Robinson is obviously great. He's been great at Texas. He was drafted where he was drafted because everyone knows how great he is, how fast he is, how hard he is to tackle. Game Ward is three and 18 as a starter, three and 18. But Jerome Solomon of the Houston Chronicle defends camwords, behaviors. He says, been to a thousand post game press conference. This probably happened once somewhere, but I've never heard of a player having to wait three minutes for the media to arrive. His point isn't unreasonable and it isn't entitlement. Yeah, but at the same time we have to, we also have to acknowledge what we've talked about recently with the lack of reporters as far as the print media industry where you have instead of four guys from one paper, you got one guy, maybe he's running back and forth between the locker room and the media room. You got to give these guys a little bit of grace. This isn't the same situation as yours past. I agree, but you also have to be a professional. And particularly if you're the quarterback, de facto, you're the face of that franchise. I don't care whether it's one person there or a crowded room, you have to go in and do your time and you should be more aware, right? For sure. And I also, on a side note, a thousand press conferences that's totally exasperated. I'm trying to do, I've locked in with my daddy. I'm trying to do the math on how old that guy is, how many press conferences. Yeah, it's like a little chamberlain where he's subbed to the 100,000 women. Hey, listen, don't let me talk. This is the quickest it goes. Hey, this is the quickest it goes. Great cutie. Everybody, this is the quickest it goes. Yeah, this is the damn laboratory show. interesting information, which is that Troy was nesky, is the senior video producer for the Tennessee Titans, which means there could have been zero media members at that press conference, not even the one. There are no questions from Troy, and so I think what Cam is saying is, hey, they got three minutes or I'm out of here. There's so many. - Wow. Does McClatchee own all the Nashville newspapers? What's happening? - I want to address a couple of the things here that were just covered. You say it's not possible for him to do 1,000 press conferences. Greg, in your 54 years of doing press conferences, where would you put the number on the number of press conferences you think you have been to? And was the number on Will Chamberlain 100,000? Was it 20,000? What was the Will Chamberlain number on number of women that he claimed to have slept with? Because I think Zaz just multiplied it by five. It was already impossible enough. - 20,000. It was all heavy to my fingers. It was possible enough and Zaz made it five times larger for reasons that weren't necessary. How many press conferences do you think that you've been to Greg? - I should try to do the math on that. I really should. I should calculate that. - Well, do it. - Well, the reason I don't think it's 1,000 is that I didn't cover that many beats full time. Like I covered you in football for four seasons. I covered the dolphins full time for two seasons. And covering a beat is when you have to go to all the press conferences. - Press conference, it would be 20. An average of 20 a year is what you would have to do to have done 1,000 press conferences. - Oh, in that case, maybe I did. - 20 a year sounds about where it is that you would-- - That's definitely possible. - Yeah, I'm gonna have to re-jigger that and come up with a number. When I come on the show next week, I will have an exact number of the press conferences covered in my long career. - I'm gonna say again that the stats with the Atlanta Falcons. Cooper Rush was eight points a game. Eight points a game. What's in the thing, what's in the things to ponder file there? - Dan, just so you know, the ponder file is always relevant is Will's 20K record real. - Wow. - Who do I know? - It's in the ponder file, just make a think. - Cooper Rush, eight points a game and Michael Pennex, 40 points a game. The Atlanta Falcons look like an entirely different team when Pennex is healthy. - Two of us named the starter five days for the opener. He hasn't played yet. - I know, and probably won't. His career's done. - I've been saying I agree. I've been saying I think he's done. - He's way too expensive to be somebody's back up. He's just, I don't see any avenue for him to become a starter. - He's not that expensive. What are you talking about? The dolphins are playing, they're paying his entire salary. He's totally cheap. What do you mean he's expensive? - Well, that's true. I was thinking of his income, but you're right, most of it's so- - Million dollar deal. - But I don't see him starting for anybody. He's damaged goods. I just think he's done. - Guys. - I hope I'm wrong. - Guys, we're a month into the season and all of the quarterbacks are hurt. Like, I understand what you're saying that on merit, he might not start, but he's gonna start 'cause football's gonna football. - He's hurt. - It's gonna injure everybody else so that he will get some playing time somewhere because there aren't 30 people in the world who could play the position. Well, what was the name of the backup who came in after Cooper Rush, who was a- - Jack Strand. - Jack Strand. - Jack Strand, Roy, what is your hotel soon at him? - Jack Spade. - Jack Strand came in and was worse than Cooper Rush, the Falcons were on there. Their fourth quarterback. - What a name. - Jack Strand. - It's, well. - It's an actor's name. It's a superhero. Jack Strand. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Yeah, he's right, yeah. - Jack Strand. - What's his power, Greg? - I'm gonna have my name legally changed to Jack Strand. - No, he's a spy. He's a spy. - Jack Strand. - The Jack Strand show with Jack Strand. - With, I'm gonna write that down. Have name legally changed to Jack Strand. - Put it on the poll. Is Jack Strand a good name for a superhero? - Right. - Tyler Hero went on Frank Isola and Brian Scalabrini's show. He's a notoriously bad interview. Tyler Hero, but he said some things that got some people in the heat audience agitated. He's hurt. He said that he's been looking for a fresh dart because he's been a mid-trade rumors for several years. As, how did you feel? First of all, Chris, we didn't get the sound. Can you paraphrase some of the things that Tyler Hero said, please? - Yep, I got five bullet points here. The first one, the Buckshead Coach Taylor Jenkins camp is the same if not more intense than Coach Spose. He jokes that the heat aren't the only team with culture as he, quote, was told. He says the heat. This one said, I don't really know what he means by this. The heat had a lockout day. This past deadline because they believed a Janis deal was done. That has to mean that like, I've never heard that term either. It has to mean that they just gave everyone the day off and they're like, don't come in today because things could happen. I never heard that phrase before though. - The next one, I have to believe Pat Riley's told every player. He said Pat Riley saw himself in Tyler Hero. I think we heard that with Pat and Jimmy too. - I just feel like he has to tell everyone that he's trying to build up that. And the final thing is Tyler, you just said this one. Tyler was pushing for the trade to get a fresh start. - So I was listening to this yesterday actually. - It's a good show. - It's very good. I was listening yesterday when they had Tyler on and I was taking a back at, the one comment I was taking a back was and they were needling him a little bit about heat culture and he's like, yeah, they play hard everywhere, you know, unlike what I was always told before. I thought that was a weird thing for Tyler to say as if it's propaganda that the heater feeding their player. - What else is he supposed to say? - He doesn't have to say, well, he made it sound like he was being brainwashed. That's how I took it. - Well, the root word of culture is cult and the Miami Heat do do some brainwashing. He said he was kind of pushing to be traded to Milwaukee and I'm wondering if you guys can simply understand this is a wounded player. His feelings are hurt by what it is that happened here and so some of the bitterness is going to leak out in some places. He was an all-star, he turned himself, whether you want a question it or not, he turned himself rather improbably as a lower first round pick into an all-star by adhering to the Miami Heat's work habits and he thinks he's responsible for his success. He doesn't think that the Miami Heat is responsible for his success and he says that the bucks will surprise people this year. I assure you they will not. I'm promising you that they will not surprise anybody but the ball's gonna be in his hands a lot. If he wants to surprise people, he's gonna have plenty of opportunities with what looks to be a very bad basketball. - You're right, they're gonna be terrible to bucks. There's no way around that. But I actually, I took issue yesterday with all of the response to what Tyler said and that's coming from, especially from Heat fans where I don't like the things that are being said about Tyler Hiro right now. Tyler Hiro was a good player for this team. He was here for a long time for seven years. He was in trade rumors from his rookie year from the day they dropped him. They were supposed to trade him for Russell Westbrook after they dropped him from the day that he came here. He was in rumors all the time he never complained. Pat Riley challenges Jimmy Butler in end of your press conferences and Jimmy gets his feelings hurt. He does the same thing to Tyler Hiro. Tyler Insanity, he puts his head down, he works hard, he comes back and he plays the next year. I don't like the discourse. I understand you don't like the things that he said about BAM. I didn't like that either, okay? But I don't like the discourse around Tyler Hiro where Heat fans are seemingly rooting against him and now talking about him as if he was some type of, you know, weight that held this team down the last years. I don't like the discourse around him. And it's like, when Milwaukee comes here Greg, Tyler's gonna get booed and that's bullshit. - First of all, I don't think he'll get booed. I think he will get a largely positive reaction. And I also think that Heat are gonna have the token tribute to-- - Oh definitely. - I don't think he'll get booed. I'm surprised to hear you say that. He had a nice career for the Heat. All-time great hell though. You know, is he gonna be thought of as like one of the great Heat players, not even a chance? I think he made one all-star team injured a lot. You know, there's just a lot that makes you not miss the fact that he was included in the strike. - I think I can assemble an argument. Where would you put him here? All-time scorer for the Miami Heat. Like just in terms of scoring ability alone for the Miami Heat, top 20? - Definitely, I'll be higher than that. - Top 15. - At least top 15. - Top 10. - We can say, let's stop around top 15. - Top 10? - Somewhere between 10 and 15. - I mean, he was a really good scorer. - And the way that we talk about him has its disrespect. When he says the bucks are gonna surprise some people, Kyle Kuzma is already feuding with people on Twitter who are pointing out he was over six in a preseason game, 20 minutes, one point, and you've got the tweeter saying, I cannot do 82 more games of this guy. - That's fair. - I mean, it is fair. Kyle Kuzma is wildly frustrating, and I believe that when Tyler Hiro misses heat culture, it'll be looking in Kyle Kuzma's eyes. - That's right. - He's just going to see something vacant there and Kyle Kuzma's gonna be wearing some parasol and some fabric from the 1800s and much more interested in style and fashion than he is in scoring more than one point. a basketball game. That's actually where the two of them will get along is the way that they dress. But Kuzma responding to this person saying it's preseason calm down. LOL. That guy didn't tag Kyle Kuzma. That means he went and sought out that tweet from a fan and then responded to the tweet is strong. Maybe somebody sent it to somebody just look okay. So we put it in the comments. All I'm saying is go ahead and look at at Kuzma's behavior on Twitter as of late and you're not going to be surprised. They're leading the witness there leading the witness. Objection. Okay, Tom down Levatar. Hello, this is not Greg Cody. Greg Cody. That kind of thing. And you know it. This is the down Levatar show. Roy, did I just hear you say back to Tyler here real fast? That's the sixth leading scoring history. 7,664 points. That's incredible. You have to admit that's higher than I thought he was. Yeah, makes sense. Well, it is a scoring time in the league. But you were perfectly fine. Down or upgrading him from 20 to 15, but it's where you stopped. I still will stop. Yeah, but you weren't doing any of the counting on who were the better scores. No, no, I wasn't my head. I can start rattling. I'd like to hear you just do that. I'll start talking about double. No, just start. You think you're going to name a big three easy Jimmy Butler. Hold on, you say big three easy. Like he was a better score than Chris Bosch. That's right. Chris Bosch. Come on. All right. You can take Tyler here. I'll take Chris Bosch. That's not what we're saying. We're talking about offense. Who was the score? Hardaway for sure. Please back me up here. Well, he hard away was not efficient. As a score he's not in the top 10. He scored, but he was not an efficient score. I'm not going to back him. Yeah, he's very crazy. You guys, you guys are high. Bosch is a better player. Tyler's a better score. I mean, Bosch has like Bosch is not just a defensive player. Just because you said that, he doesn't prove anything. Okay, you tried your point with a left-handed jumper. You did do that. I like the left, you know, which is exactly what Bosch had. You proved you guys are holding it against Bosch that he had to like take a lesser role and didn't get the numbers. Yes. When Bosch was alone here, he was our best score. Bosch is seventh. He's behind your own. I need to make a clarification here because I understand Chris's point and I don't want to get lost in the weeds. Okay. Chris Bosch is indeed a great score when he was in Toronto by himself. He did more scoring, more efficiently than Tyler hero, indisputably. So this is a discussion we can have. But what I'm talking about is just pure ball handling scoring where the offense, I saw, I saw scored and and I'm okay with having the conversation. If you're putting Tyler hero anywhere in Chris Bosch's class, then you're talking about a top 15 top 10 score for the Miami Heat. Well, go ahead because you know, let me give me time. You've only named. I will. Well, you said you were going to do it easily. Now you're going on a hundred. And Joe was on Leonard. Oh, no, no, no, no, no. You're really falling apart. No, you've really fallen apart. Glenn Rice. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. It's fourth. Give me time. I can give you to the rest of time. You're going to have trouble with this when you already went to the Sean Leonard. I was just trying to get Zaz on my side. You already in bed, but you can't get anybody on your side with Vashon Leonard. Well, not say PJ Brown, Tony. Tony, I thought I saw you trying to frame Chris. I saw you. Yes, I saw you whisper that to Chris to try and frame him. I want to talk about something else here. I know you guys were getting on me yesterday for talking too much about injuries in football. The status of Baker Mayfield is kind of funny in a way that isn't funny where the bucks are saying, well, it can be three to six weeks. It depends on when he can grip a football. That's the qualifier they're making. They're like, well, it'll be three weeks if he can grip the football. It'll be six weeks if he can't grip the football. But when they said of barcoff yesterday, 10 to 12 weeks were you and Roy? Were you relieved by that as a as a guesstimate? I'm not relieved by anything surrounding barcoff right now, but I don't know that it's they are saying 10 to 12 weeks. It appears to be one person said 10 to 12 weeks and everyone else is denying it. Yeah, the the top insider for the sport, Elliott Freeman, who's the Adam Schefter for the NHL said, no, it's not the worst case scenario, but it's definitely not 10 to 12 weeks. And here's Paul Maurice, Paul Maurice yesterday, upon being told that report of 10 to 12 weeks. Do not bet your hard earned money on that one. Yeah, that's just I know you can bet on everything these days. Hang on to your cash truly. If I don't know, nobody else does. That's fair. Is there anything you can say on just the type of injury that it is or just lower body? Lower body. Come on. What is the mystery? Why is there a mystery around an injury? Hockey loves that. I know they do and hockey should stop that. In every other sport, you know what the injury is? You know what surgery was had or wasn't had? You know when the player will be back upper body, lower body. Come on, hockey. Join the 21st century. You're welcome aboard ridiculous that they have such a shroud of mystery around barcoffs injury. It's silly. It's unnecessary. They do that because they don't want the opponents to target the injury. Good reason. I mean, you could say that about any athlete in any sport though. And I know that hockey is extraordinarily violent in that way, but it's still not a reason to be so duplicitous. It is. It is. It is a reason. Well, it's a reason. They they. But it's it's a good reason. If the opponent's going to target the injury, how is that not a good reason? Like in what world is that not a good reason? If you had that injury and you didn't want opponents to target that injury and in the sport, they were perpetually targeting an injury because they're cruel and inhumane that way. And competitiveness of this regard has very few morals. Wouldn't you want to be protected by an error of mystery? Okay, you're giving hockey an excuse. It doesn't deserve. There's no excuse to call it a lower body injury instead of just saying. I just did the excuse. They target the I keep giving. You say there's no reason. And I'm giving you the reason. You say there's no excuse. I'm giving you the excuse. Okay, do you think do you think a pulling upcoming opponents of the panthers? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. You listen to my question first. No. Do you think upcoming opponents of the panthers rely on on on what is stated by the team? Everybody knows it's a left knee injury. You don't need Paul Maurice to admit that. So why the secrecy? Why the secrecy? I just told you. Greg is not just hits. These guys have weapons. They have sticks in their hands that they can target. I mean, I'm with my dad though. The scouting they know where these injuries are for the most part. Of course they do. Like are there small examples where they might get something through for the most part team? Well, let me ask you let me just ask you a simple question. Which should Paul Maurice care more about? Perhaps gaining some small advantage that protects his player or pleasing Greg Cody by giving him information that Greg Cody wants? Which do you think that Paul Maurice should be governed by? Should I give the media information that they crave? Because the media is nosy, ingredient feels entitled to everything? Or should I try to wherever it is that I can if I don't have control and am a control freak? Try to give my team some small semblance of cover. Do we put on the poll? Let me see if I get this correctly. Dan Lebertard is saying I'm fine with every sport being super secretive about injuries. Well, if it's good for the NHL, why isn't it good for football? When a player goes down in football, why do we have to know what the injury is and when to expect them back? I mean, the fans pay thousands of dollars to go to a single game. Why do they have any right to information about their player? No, they'll tell you when they're going to come back. They're just not telling you what the injury is. The Panthers aren't telling us when Barça is going to come back. Paul Marys a gas lighter. Okay, and I love Paul Marys. I do. I told him to his face and he told me we love each other, but he is a gas lighter. Okay, because Brad Martian was going to miss at least the first month. He returned game three of the season. All right. Can you guys give me some information on this? It was said 10 to 12 weeks. Everyone's denying 10 to 12 weeks. What's real here? What's true? We don't know. We don't know. We don't know anything because it's hockey. That's why we don't know anything. The doctors are still looking at them by the way. The doctors are still looking at him. Greg Cody doesn't want any more excuses. Chris, say James Wilson. They got three minutes broke.
