325: Zane Got Poisoned in Brazil

The podcast explores multiple themes, starting with a commercial pitch for the 2026 Toyota RAV4, emphasizing its stylish design, smart technology, and hybrid efficiency. It then transitions into a discussion on film music, clarifying roles between music supervisors and composers, and highlighting the use of existing scores across films. A major narrative focuses on a personal travel experience in Brazil, where the host and friends explore favela communities, encounter cultural authenticity, and face a severe health issue from consuming unclean, rain-washed fruit. This leads to a reflection on food safety and travel risks. The episode also addresses internet misinformation, such as a fabricated dolphin-abduction story in Florida and a hidden Cold War-era rocket discovery, emphasizing the need for media scrutiny. A vibrant soccer match in Brazil adds cultural color, while the group discusses food habits, including Subway's marketing of shared footlongs and a desire for more personalized, gourmet meal options. The overall tone blends personal anecdotes, cultural insights, and critical thinking about media and health, illustrating both the excitement and unpredictability of travel and modern entertainment.

Oh, you didn't? No. Need to watch it. I know Max Richter scored it, but the ending moment is a song he's already composed, but for other movies. Like the end of Shutter Island. Have you seen Shutter Island? I don't know. They're talking about their kids who drowned in the pool and stuff, and that famous Max Richter song. That's at the end of Hamnet, and I'm just always like, why? They just like repurposed it? Yes. I'm like, why wouldn't you just score something new? It's just, I don't know. Okay, Matt, I have a film question. What's up? So, you know how you're saying score it? Yeah. Is someone who does the scoring also the one that is like in charge of the music for scenes, or is that totally different? Like, is scoring like composing new instrumental type things for a movie? Yes. Like, it's the background music that's playing, but if they maybe, if there's a song that's maybe a pop. Like, the beginning of Marty Supreme is Forever Young. Yeah. That's more like a music director. Or a music supervisor. Picking that song. Yeah, like, who's like the DJ, right? That looks at the scene and goes, this is the song for it. Music supervisor, music director. Yeah, okay. A music supervisor picks the songs. Okay, I want to do that. Which, yeah, that's a fun job, and I've worked at like Apple's ad agency, like the music like team. They would just sit there and like listen to new music and figure out what should they have in the next like iPhone commercial. Oh, that's sick. So you've got to have your ear on like up and coming stuff that isn't too popular, but like a new artist, because it can, you remember like the iPod commercial? One, two, three. Oh, yeah. That song got popular because of the commercials, too. That song was electric, man. I love that song. Or the iPod, or was it the iPad Air? It was like, one, two, three, four. Tell me that you love me more. You know what song I think is so perfectly casted is the song for Drive. Oh, Kavinsky's Night Call? It's like that super like. 80s synth. A real human being and a real hero. And then there's the one where he's driving where it's like, I need a night call to tell you how I feel. I want to make my parents watch that movie so bad, but the boobie scene, I like, I can't even recommend them the movie. There's a boobie scene in Drive? Yeah, it's so random. It like doesn't even fit. They're just like. This is Kavinsky. Yeah, yeah. There's like one scene where he like. Walks into like some strip club or whatever. And he's in like the back room. Oh, right. And like everybody's just butt naked. I'm like, damn. Your parents won't watch it because of that? Mm-mm. Would they be like, turn it off the moment they see it? Yeah, they don't. I feel like that gets rid of so many good movies. Dude, I know. There's so many. There's so many good movies where there's one scene like that where I'm like, damn. Well, I was mortified when my parents were like, oh, yeah, we saw Nora. I'm like, mom, you saw Nora? Like, no. No. I loved it. She actually did. I think I'm going to be a stripper now. Is there ways to watch movies that like cut that? Like, obviously, like the commercial TV cut? Like that you would see on. No. I don't think so. I don't think so. Not on streaming platforms. Only if it's on cable. Right. Like, I want the cable version of these movies so I could send it to my parents. I'm so surprised the stuff they let us watch on airplanes. Like. Oh, yeah. Yeah. There are kids around. Tell me right now. And I'm just having to, like, cover up my screen. They should at least have a plane version of. I thought they usually do. Because at the beginning of some of the movies, you get that thing where it's like this film has been modified from its original version. Okay. So maybe. But I'm still. You're still seeing boobs. I've still seen boobs. Wait. I think that's only on, again, cable TV. Oh, interesting. When you see that. I think the plane is like use your discretion for people around you. I've seen that on planes, but not every plane. How's that? Yeah. It'll just say, like, parental advisory. It's so funny when you see somebody watching something. You're like, really? On a movie like that on a plane right now. It's just like full scenes going. You're like, I saw a tick tock where a guy was on a sex scene and he, like, fast forward. It was like this old dude. He, like, fast forwarded. Fast forwarded the thing. Oh, you know what it was? It wasn't. It was. It was a heated rivalry scene. Oh, that's funny. I think this was. I think it was an old dude. Maybe I'm getting two videos and combining together. But he was watching heated rivalry when it got to just one of the scenes. You see him, like, fast forward on the plane. He's going to be fast forward a lot throughout that show. That'd be a quick little binge. It's so funny. But a part of me feels like that was. You know how I feel like that was staged, too. You think so? Yeah. A part of me feels like it was staged because it just didn't make sense that that dude was watching. Yeah. Or maybe he was being respectful. I love all of the the TikToks of, like, like, girls that have parents that are, like, super into hockey. Yeah. And they they just, like, put it on and, like, tell their dad, like, it's just this new hockey show. Dad's all, like, fired up. Oh, that's funny. They're, like, secretly filming his react. He's just like, wait, what is this? What am I watching? This is not what I signed up for. I still have not watched heated rivalry. It's just not my thing. But I love that people love it. Yeah. But I do like a little gay. You know, I love Call Me By Your Name. A little Brokeback Mountain. Did you see they're making another one? A sequel? Apparently. Back from the Dead. The Haunted. Two Brokeback, Two Mountains. I don't know. I think I think I saw something. They're doing, like, the girl version. OK. Oh, oh, oh. And this was going to be like, it's going to be about, like, two. It's not in the Brokeback Mountain universe, but it's like two cowgirls going on. I don't know. I saw an article that just popped up and I just was like, oh, I guess they're redoing it. I think it is like a remake. But I think the boys in Brokeback Mountain, though, man, they are just risky. Have you seen it? There's just like, you know, I've never seen it, but I've seen like, like clips for sure. I feel like I've seen it's a good moment. It's a really good, sweet movie. But there's like a scene where they're like, they're meeting back up and he's like walking out of his apartment with his wife and kids and then just like meets up with either Jake Gyllenhaal or Heath Ledger and they just like make out outside their apartment. I'm like, boys, get in the truck. Y'all can't keep it under those damn Wranglers. Like they are just like making out underneath like the little apartment motel. And I'm like, can't wait. Can't wait a damn second. Itching. They should make a, or if they are, they should make another version. It's called Big Back Mountain. Oh, that could be really fun too. Yeah. It's like overweight hikers. That one could start me and Heath. Yeah. It's me and you on a backpacking trip. Just trying to lose some extra pounds. And then. So stupid. Big Back Mountain is ridiculous. I wish I could quit you. We're not looking at each other. We're looking at food. It goes back and forth. It's just, we're looking at our snacks. We're just sitting there stirring up those hot water meals. I wish. Should we just jump right into it? Yeah, let's do it. Three, two, one. It's Coffee Talk, baby. Let's go. Welcome back to Zane and Heath Unfiltered. We are, we are the, we are the three, we are the three musketeers. And then we also have Jared too. I'm Zane. I'm Heath. I'm Matt. And welcome back to another episode of Unfiltered. We're so glad you're here. And, um, and yeah. We're glad you're here, Zane. Yeah. Yeah. I am glad too. I've never been, I've never wanted to be here. I want to be more back in the States, just in my own bed in general, in my entire life. So, um, actually you guys don't know, cause I didn't post anything when I was there, but I went to, cause you didn't go out. I didn't go out. I went to, I was in Brazil for the past, like, like seven days. Woo. And, um, I, you know, I was very, very excited. This is one of those places that I've always wanted to go. Um, and I knew it was going to happen. And then it finally happened. I was like, oh shit. And we're going to Rio de Janeiro too, which is the place that I wanted to go in Brazil. I was like, fuck. Yeah. Opportunity. I'm going to take it. I'm going to go. I'm really like, I just can't wait to explore everything. And also one of my best friends, uh, Ella, she's from Brazil. She was born there and she talks about it all the time. So I was like, really? She's from Brazil. She's Portuguese. Yeah. She, uh, Oh, not Ella Priya. Sorry. Sorry. Florida. When I say Ella, like in my head, first Ella pops up as her. So I need to reiterate. Totally understand. I was like, I don't know Ella Priya that well. We've talked about Ella quite a few times on the show. Um, she was, she was one of my friends that like, we'd gone to like trouble with all those stories. that's her um i finally got to go so i like i remember like i flew in i text her i'm like oh my god guess where i am she was so excited giving me all these recommendations blah blah this was like i we flew in day one it was fucking pouring the worst weather we because we checked the weather out before but we were told like hey it's like florida it goes in and out i'm like okay like i i get florida florida you get really shitty weather and then it bounces back and then you get like really hot weather weather with really beautiful weather am i all right and we fly in we walk through the um customs and she's like you're here for work or vacation we're here for vacation she's like you weren't here on a very um a very bad week i was like oh no i know it's raining but like it's she's like no it's raining oh no oh oh we're screwed we're screwed this is gonna suck because like everything everything's outside like you don't do anything inside yeah and um i was like oh my god this is gonna suck whatever okay we'll make the most out of it right and so when we get there it's it's really really bad weather you don't see a lick of sunlight is it hot like hot and rainy it's it was humid but it wasn't as humid as like florida okay okay so it was like it wasn't bad we get to our villa we get to our villa beautiful villa beautiful beautiful we were really excited we we uh we stay in for the night obviously wake up and we decide oh we're gonna go check out the uh the favelas or the favela and if you the favela is um it's the area can you can you fact check this i don't want to get it wrong and i will get it wrong trust me um even with fact check even after the fact check um it's a it's a neighborhood densely populous settlements in brazil home to over eight percent eight percent of the country's population um it's uh not the best like structural neighborhood i mean these are like some shacks and yeah it's very low-income it's very low-income it's very low-income it's very it's low-income communities and it's it's a lot a lot of people recognize uh this area in like movies and show a lot of yeah a lot of uh a lot of uh films will show this area when they're filming in brazil just because it like looks insane and it was and i remember when we were there it was like i know they're like low-income places but it was still beautiful the way that they're able to fit everything and make everything work and when you're walking through these places the fucking wires that are giving all like the energy power too because they're kind of like stealing the power to power the favelas it's a free-for-all it's a free-for-all it is this shit is this is even the worst of it these wires all right now imagine you're walking through the neighborhoods right like through the little streets they're hanging down low where you have to like live electric wires just kind of yeah and dude it was raining too and still they were being powered i'm like this is the most insane thing i've ever seen this shit is everywhere and everybody has such a different lifestyle in there it's it's it was wild yeah like it was like this everywhere it was insane and you can't just go anywhere in these favelas like we were with a tour guide and good yeah yeah and he obviously he like knows everywhere knows the in and outs and there's like a lot of the area is off limits to tourists because they're like it's like gang yes it's quite dangerous going deep into the very dangerous would go in there and then he'll turn around be like all right everybody put your phones down yeah no phones uh lock up your electronics if you have zippers in your pocket make their zippers are up it's just like because they they uh these gangs know that tourists come in so they won't like really fuck with us but then also like if you're in the wrong area you will get robbed you will get like you know because there's just like dead ends and like nooks and crannies and alleys all throughout that it's not the most like organized street system to go through yeah so we would go we would go through like approved areas through these favelas and we have to we wanted to make our way to the top because we wanted to be we wanted to make our way to the top because we wanted to make our way to the top because we wanted which is which is weird because when you think when you go higher up in the hills the more expensive the houses get yeah you get like the view right you get the view you get that but in the favelas the higher you go up the the cheaper the rent is because you have to make your way all the way up there whenever you go right right so they kind of see it as like a convenience thing like you're if you're at the bottom it's easier in and out like quicker exactly more convenient when you're bringing beds up there when you're bringing furniture up there if you have a spot up there you have to make your way up there you have to make your way up there you have to make your way up there you have to bring that up yourself like it is like all the way up there and it is steep heath it's like pasitano remember is that yeah is that is the um is it mostly walking or is it big enough for like cars to like drive so they have they have they have this whole little area where you could take um motorbikes they'll take you up there it's like a taxi system of these motorbikes for people working up there that need to get up there that need to um tourist anything and it was pouring right so we were going up there and we were like going up on these motorbikes all the way up slippery dude it was sketchy but dude you felt so safe at the same time because these guys they do this every day so we're zooming up there on the hills and it was it was an experience it was kind of a vibe that's kind of cool no it was it was it felt like you it felt like you're in like in uh what is it okay like a born identity just kind of like straight out of like a bond film completely did they have like protection on them like they have guns or weapons or anything to like the tour guide yeah no but we did have security on it so that's like a separate thing that we that we hired okay we hired two security guards one security guard was on uh was on us and the other security guard was at the house constantly there at all times okay obviously we weren't like we were told not to post live like wherever we are right especially like especially during these days you know it's crazy but um we uh we had someone somebody with us so that was that made like we felt safe we're good so in the favelas is it strictly like housing or are there like um shops stores restaurants all throughout it is it kind of like a community or do you just live there and then you leave to go no no no it's definitely a community and the people that live there they work they're pretty much work there too because like are there like corner markets is there like um just like shopping like i don't they they got they got they'll they have markets there they have barbers they have salons oh cool they have like literally everything i couldn't believe the amount of stores that they had inside the like because when you're looking at it you're like oh there's no way that there's like businesses run through here there are there are but it's like this is everything this is what the tour guy told me this is everything that's uh people that are in there it's its own community it's like the it's like jail right it's like you work in there you go home there you don't really like leave there the only people really coming through here and shopping here are either tourists or people that live there the people that live outside the favelas they're not usually going in there unless they're like okay i'm seeing a friend or you know i'm sure whatever crown cards for seo winning never sounded so good what would you do if law 18 plus terms and conditions apply so i know that there's like a rule when you travel to other countries especially like if you're like outside the country because our bodies just cannot handle it don't drink the water water right yes and i was really aware that the whole time i was drinking water bottles i was really focused on that i just wasn't thinking this day i was very excited i wanted to try out everything i was like i want to dive deep into the culture i want to i just want to i want to just indulge right so we stopped by this market in the favela and it's like it's not right it's not deep in but it's like on the streets on like the main street of the favela so like the markets were like you know they looked good they look nice so we go there i'm i'm starving right i'm hungry and i'm like oh instead of eating junk zane why don't you eat a little bit of fresh market fruit right like what's the worst that could happen yeah try some you know try some brazilian fruit david david grabbed his banana ilia's grabbing uh um he's grabbing like a peach i grabbed some grapes i'm like i love grapes i'm gonna try the grapes here and we pack it up and we continue our journey and i'm we're going through the falls i'm like grabbing these grapes all my tech is in my pockets only thing in my hand are the grapes and i don't wash them right i don't wash the fruit and normally i would wash the fruit especially even here too but like i just like wasn't thinking popping these grapes in my mouth and i remember as i'm eating i'm like oh these are spicy they're just like not good like i was very it was very underwhelming i i remember i was spitting out like 18 seeds every grape i was eating i was like this kind of stinks but you know what this is all i have right now i eat all the grapes right and i was like okay we go about our day we leave the favelas i eat uh the ice cream there's like a little ice cream shot there i eat ice cream uh they have these little empanadas i have a bite i was like i'm gonna wait to have right after it i'm gonna be good i got some grapes finished my grapes got some ice cream i want to have a proper meal um we oh we also do uh we also do jujitsu there so brazilian jujitsu it's in the name exactly so uh well they have us with like these kids and these kids are teaching us how to do different tricks uh some people are like going head to head with these kids these kids are these kids are insane here oh i bet how old like eight year olds or like yeah they're yeah no they they went from like five years old to about like to about like 10 years old weapons just like Like they could take down like a lot of us, a lot of our age people. Like it was, it was wild. Like I give a lot of respect to these kids and like they could, they could protect themselves for sure. And in a time they need to, but yeah, we did that. It was really fun. We get back and I, I'm sitting there and I'm like, oh guys, I don't feel good. And I immediately just ran up to my room. Right. And I'm, I get into bed and I'm like, started her love. I'm like, oh my God. Oh God. Just bad stomach ache. Yeah. Just a bad stomach ache. I was like, oh, it's probably because I haven't eaten. I haven't eaten maybe. And it's getting worse and it's getting worse and it's getting really, really bad. And then it starts happening. The runs. Oh no. It's coming out of every hole. It's just, I'm puking. I'm pissing out of my ass and it won't stop. It won't stop. It won't stop. And the pain is getting worse and worse. And I just remember. It was like for 36 hours straight. Oh, that's so bad. I could not leave my, I locked my room. I could not leave there. I was sweating. Fever broke out. That's bad. I was pouting. I was just you. Or did anyone else like get this? Did David or Ilya? It was just me. I think I, I think Ilya got really lucky with his little, the peach that he was eating. Cause the skin was like tougher too. I don't know. I'm not sure. The banana. He was fine. Because he peeled it off. Right. It was like inside. I think I just got really unlucky with the grapes. Cause they were probably cleaned, but with their water. And after, after I found out, apparently the rain, the rain water is very bad too. Oh no. So if rain water gets on your fruit, that's, that could like make it even worse. That was the only thing that you ate different than everybody else. Yes. Cause some people had the ice cream. Some people had the empanadas. I like, we really, we really went down to like, what did everybody eat? Cause we were Sherlock Holmes. We were all eating. We were eating the same thing. The only thing that I ate, I put in my body that was outside was the, um, was the, I, I went to a gym the day before. Uh, and it was like, there are like equinox in their high end area in Brazil. And I was told by the staff that it was filtered water. And I, that was the only thing I was drinking that nobody else should, but like, I'm pretty sure that it was filtered. Yeah. You know what I mean? Cause I'm sure they have a ton of people coming in. I wouldn't expect, I feel like it'd be a big problem if that water was getting people sick for like a high end tourist gym. Exactly. Cause I'm sure I'm not the only tourist that's like working out in that gym. So I was like, it can't be that. And I, I, when I hit up Ella after the whole day, when I hit her up, I was like, Hey, I told her the few things that I had. And I, I gave her the name of the gym and the, and she was like, Zane, it was definitely the fruit at the festival. You, you, you're, you're not supposed to eat that and not wash. I was like, okay. It was definitely that it was that we, I got unlucky. Remember, remember I told you my whole constipation thing that I had three X that when I thought like it was my time, it was that I knew food poison was not going to kill me, but the feet, the pain, but it brought on my body. It was so bad. And I remember that whole day I was out the next two days were our like big nights that we had in Brazil that we planned for. I couldn't make, I couldn't make a damn. So you just had to stay in. I, I, and it's, you know, when the pain is so bad where you don't give a fuck, everyone's like, Zane, are you coming out with it? They had a shot on their hands. Like, get the fuck out of my room. Like, please get out of here. You don't want to do my whole room stuff. My dude, I was sweat. I was sweating my entire bed. Like I'd wake up from end to end. The sheets, the pillowcase, the mattress, everything was soaked. I was sweating everything out. Keith, I went by day three. I, I, I, I, I lost everything. I lost my fat. I lost my muscle. Like it, it really takes that out of you. It, it was like, it was wild. And I'm, I remember it got really beautiful on Saturday and I was missing all the fucking beautiful days too, just stuck in bed. And it was crazy because my last trip was to the Philippines and I was sick the whole time too. So I forgot about that. Yeah. Somebody was out for out to get me. God was playing a bad. Fucking prank on me. I was like, this fucking sucks. I just, I flew out to get sick. Uh, I had to go to the hospital because, um, I needed to, I was so dehydrated that I needed to, um, I needed IV. So I went to the hospital and I, I, uh, they pumped me up with like Zofran and fucking all this shit. Just the, and I was, dude, I was so scared of putting anything in my body at that point. Like we, there was a chef at the house that was making us food. And you know, she was cooking with like bottle water and all that. And I was just so fucking afraid. I was like, guys, I just want to go home. Like, I don't want to eat anything here, please. And like, I, I just, because I looked it up, I was like, can you get food poisoning twice in a row? Like, I thought it was like, you know, when you get sick, you can't get sick twice. It's like, they're like, absolutely. You can get food poisoning twice. It's much more common than you think. And I was like, guys, I don't want to eat here. Can I like, like literally I, I need to eat. I just don't want to do it here. And they're like saying, that's ridiculous. Like you have to eat. But did you end up like feeling better towards the end and like being able to like go out and explore or the last day, the last day we're flying out? Did you get to see Christ the Redeemer? No, I didn't get to, I didn't get to see fucking really anything. Oh buddy. Um, we went out the day that we flew out. Um, we, I got to, I, uh, Natalie went hang gliding. So I got to see her do that. We went out there. And she got to hang gliding, hang gliding. Yeah. They have, it's a popular thing to do in Brazil. It never, I would never, no, I would never. Yeah. I thought this was just something that people did in the nineties with Capri sun. Yeah. And people still doing this shit. I said, it was sketch. It was just like, the guy's just like, you ready? You good to go? And like, and they just, they run off the cliff and it's like, there's no ropes or attached to anything. You're just soaring. You have no parachute. Whatever the wind does, whatever the wind does, wherever the wind takes you. Literally, we were told too, that two Americans just died before the wind, because sometimes the wind will take, like, well, we'll say, yeah, you catch a gust and then it'll bring you down. And both Americans, they flew right into the water, but impact do at least have like parachutes on you. If like, God forbid you need to like, Oh boy, you wanted to do it. I mean, I know she's like skydiving certified from her mom's little daredevil. She's like, I want to do it. I want to do it. Oh boy. Did you see the, did you see the, um, the hang glider that didn't get strapped in? It was one of these like tourist things where you like you get to go completely forgot to attach the clips and you're just hanging on now and there's no like, bring it down quickly. If you go up, it's not like, Oh shit, all right, we'll just bring it back down and land. You are on the ride holding on until it's over. Yeah. Who knows how long? Oh yeah. It's crazy that they're able to like go around and then come back to the spot that they took off at. Like, it seems like it's more of just a point a point B situation and we'll just see where we land. That's incredible that they're able to navigate it and do a proper tour. Yeah. Oh boy. Imagine being on that though. And having the runs. No, I saw, I saw this girl on my, my, for you page like months ago, it was this girl talking about like a story time, my absolute nightmare that happened on my flight and she got food poisoning right before I was going to say an hour flight. Oh, I imagine you got it the last day. She was in that bathroom, shitting, diarying, puking the whole time and imagine taking up a bathroom. She said there was like two bathrooms on his, she took like one bathroom on this plane and the entire time she was stuck in there. That's her. Yeah. Literally. Oh no. Literally when they land this plane, they removed her off first. I, where everybody saw her pretty much. And they. Yeah. I remember she said that there was like removed by, by guys in hazmat suits. Can you imagine that you have fucking mortifying that is after all, I can't imagine bro. And an airplane toilet too, where it's just like, there's no water in it as well. And you're just like, oh, having to deal with that. No, you're right though. Thank God it happened in the beginning of the trip. Then in the end of the trip. It could have been worse. So I do thank God for that. Winning never sounded so good. You do. If you want big at crown coins casino, real people win real prizes every single day. Hi, this is Chelsea from Dallas. The day that the beautiful, I was like, what? I feel like we just landed here and I can't wait to have this wonderful trip, this wonderful week in Brazil. And we were fucking leaving. Oh buddy. I'm sorry. Would you go back now having learned your lesson or do you feel like you're a little like emotionally or just, oh, I remember telling myself, like, I don't think I could ever go to the Philippines again because of, um, I just correlate this with how bad of an experience you had. It's just like a little traumatic, a little traumatic. And I don't know. I don't know. I don't know if I could go back. Wasn't your first time in South America, like proper? I mean, Mexico. Oh no, wait, no, no, no, no, no. Nope, that's a North. No, nope, nope. Woo! Nope. Yeah, that is my first time in South America proper. Yes. Yeah. I've never been to South America either. I'm thinking the whole. Yes, my first time in South America. Yeah, for sure. But, okay, I know you did not get to see Christ the Redeemer, like, up close, but did you get to see it from a distance? Through the fog. Barely. Oh, much smaller. Much smaller than you would expect. Yes, I thought. Because the way they put it out, and also the way they, like, fly these drones over the. You would think that this is massive. It's a little larger than life. Yeah. Yeah. But it is one. It's not an ancient wonder of the world. It's, like, one of the modern wonders of the world, I believe. Oh, it's. Like, it's. You've seen Petra, right? Yeah. And now you've technically seen Christ the Redeemer. Yeah. You're on a roll right now. Two? Have I seen two? I think I've seen three. Oh, the pyramids. I've seen three. The pyramids. That's an ancient wonder of the world. Yeah. That's actually, like, really rare to get to, like, see. Yeah. Yeah. Doesn't it look huge when you look at it through pictures? Yeah. But is it, like. Is the Statue of Liberty bigger than that? I. Yes. I'm pretty sure the Statue of Liberty is bigger than that. Because it's just the vantage point it has. It looks like it's truly larger than life. 98 feet is pretty tall, though. Yeah. It's about a 10-story building. Okay. I, um. Even because a lot of them did a helicopter ride when I was dying in bed. They were even taking videos from the helicopter, and it looked tiny. Oh, interesting. Oh, yeah. That is kind of small. I thought that was, like, way. That's how small it looks when you're in the car. Oh, wow. Like, when you're in the car and you see it, you're like, oh, wow. That's small. Okay. So, definitely, when you're in Brazil, you have to go see it. Like, you have to go up to it and see it. Yeah. That's a must-see. Oh, yeah. It is a little. That is way smaller than what I thought. And, you know, obviously, they got to. Last time they went to Brazil, they got to go inside the statue, which I. Crazy. You know, I would love to do that. When I saw that, I didn't know there was an inside. I thought it was just straight rock. Oh, like the Statue of Liberty, where you can go inside and go in the head? I didn't know you could go up in it like that. So, when I saw they did that, I was like, I thought it was a solid thing. I don't think a lot of people get to do that. It's, like, a really rare booked experience to do it. Yeah, yeah. I think it was expensive for them to do that. Can people. I don't think you can go up in the Statue of Liberty anymore. No, not anymore. Oh, you can't? Yeah. Why? I don't know if it's, like, a post-COVID thing. I remember there was, like, a post-9-11 thing. Oh, no, I think it is a post-COVID thing. You can go up on the island to go see it, and then it was like, you can go on the island and walk around it. Oh, it's safety risks, structural damage, because it's old. Like, I mean, hell, it's from the 1900s. I mean, one day it has to just collapse, right? Mm, it's copper. It's so crazy that the color of that is because of the rust. Yeah. Isn't that insane? I know. It used to be, you know, at least very bronzy looking. Don't you think, like, by now they would clean it up? Just be like, all right, let's give it a big buff. Put a bunch of vinegar on it and just, like, ah. I don't know. Put it with some Brillo pads. It's part of its charm, I guess. I can't even imagine it fucking bronze. That's so, like, when you think it's Statue of Liberty, you think green. Yeah. Green, green. Like, tree green. I think over time, well, it's, I think for, like, was it only, like, a couple of, like, 10 years, it was truly bronze, and then it has been green since then. You think, like, they didn't think of that, or they knew it was going to go green? They were like, oh, shit, it's going green. It's looking a little funny. They probably, they honestly. They honestly probably thought they would keep up with it, like, keep cleaning it, and they probably did until they didn't. Right. Because, like, I know you can take, like, a little penny that's turned green and make a little concoction. Bring it back. Yeah, yeah. Is it weird to, I mean, is it, yeah, is it weird to just replace it? No, we should. Like, make a new one? It's historic. I know, I get it. I understand it, but I feel like, I don't know. Trump will probably do it. It'll be him. It'll be called the Trump Statue of Liberty. I'm surprised he hasn't considered it. They would just. Or they would replace it, but they'd replace it with him, yeah. So, I guess they made it out of bronze or copper because it's easy to, it's malleable. So, they're able to, like, make the folds in, like, the toga and stuff. No, you know what we're going to get in 10 years, guys? It's going to be a virtual. So, it's going to go from the Statue of Liberty to, like, the fucking. It's going to, yeah, yeah. And then you can book it with ads, and then one day you can see, like, a. You can see Mr. Clean up there. Yeah, fucking Planet Fitness. Where it's, like, a guy like that, and then. What is she holding in her hand? Is it the 10? Oh, no, I know. It's the Constitution. It's the Constitution, right? It's not the Ten Commandments. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's just a tablet. It's a tablet with July 4th, 1776. Okay, that's a good trivia question, because sometimes I'm like, what is she holding? That is a good trivia question. Did you ever know, like, Abraham Lincoln, when you go to the Lincoln Memorial in D.C., when he's, like, sitting in the chair, you know, you see it on the penny. He's having, in one hand, he's doing an A, and the other one's an L. It's, like, sign language. No way. So, it's Abraham Lincoln in his hands. Oh, that's sick. Really? Yeah, yeah. Kind of cool. Fun fact. That is a fun fact. Next time you go up to the Lincoln Memorial, which I think is my favorite thing in D.C., is the Lincoln Memorial. Why did they do that on him? Abraham Lincoln? No, no, no. Like, you're saying in sign language. Like, why? Like, is there, like, a. Oh, I don't know if he, like, had a connection with the deaf community. Like, was he deaf? I think it's just, like, a. Yeah, that's. Is there. I think it's just, like, a subtle little Easter egg to the statue. Just have some fun. Yeah. Right? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And he actually is sitting here like this. Yeah. Middle fingers. Okay. Oh. Oh, there is meaning to this, guys. Abraham Lincoln had significant foundational connection to deaf culture. On April 8, 1864, he signed a charter authorized by Congress allowing the Columbia Institution for the Deaf and Dumb and the Blind. I don't think. I don't think that would work now. To grant collegiate degrees. Wow. Okay, so there is. There is meaning behind that. I cannot believe it was called the Deaf and Dumb and Blind. That's insane. It was a different time. Oh, I got to do one more thing. I completely forgot. I got to do one. We got to go to a soccer game. Oh, cool. That's really cool. That would be fun. And it was just, like, it wasn't, like, a crazy soccer game, but for them it was. Brazil versus who? Brazil versus. Oh, fucking. Honestly, I forget. I forget. I forget. It's okay. It was, honestly, you could definitely look it up. Was it another South American team? Yes. Yes. Okay. It was, like, within South America. Could have been Peru or Argentina. And it was, bro, it was electric. It was insane. Oh, I couldn't even imagine the energy in the stands. Did they have those little, like, boo-boo-zay-las? Boo-boo-zay-las? Is that Brazilian? Or is that, like, maybe Spanish? I can't remember. I just remember for one World Cup. It was crazy. We. South Africa. Oh, take it back. Like, we got there, and this was another area where our tour guide was like, all right, when we get there, you have to run. Like, you need to get straight to security because you don't want to be out here. Like. Wow. You know. Because all the hooligans come out. You know SoFi Stadium? You know that outside area right before you get into it? It was, like, that area where he was just, like, go, go, go, go. Yeah. And so we get in. We all get in. We're like, where's John? Oh, no. Where's John? And he. They have a face recognition thing where they take very seriously. It's like the past. Like, you know, like, how they have it in for passports and airports. Yeah. They have it for that now, and they were not letting fucking John in. And our tour guy was screaming at these people, and they were going at it, guys, for about 30, 45 minutes. No way. And they were not letting him in. He was, like, showing them, like, his passport, his information, and they just would not let him in. And we're. And we. Nobody could leave, or you wouldn't get back in. They have a policy. If you leave, you can't get back in. And. We were like, okay, we got to go. And then he's like, no, I'm going to make this work. And he just kept fighting with them. And apparently they close. They close the venue. If you're not there in time, like the venue just closed. And we were worried because John was just stuck out there. Damn. It's. What was the reasoning? Did they, like, not believe he was who he said he was? I think his face just likes to morph at different times because he also got stopped at the airport. The airport. When we were flying back, it wasn't recognizing his face. It was. It was like a post Zilla transformation. I'm not sure. It just was not recognizing his face. And his picture looks. His picture looks just like him. Like the picture that he used to, like, to send into the government. It's the same. What color are his eyes? I don't know. But like, dude, because Mariah, like her face for like clear sometimes doesn't work. And she has to do the fingerprint because she has like hazel eyes. I guess it's harder to read on the face recognition, like in the eyes. Like it will nine times out of ten not work for her. Oh, and she has to scan finger. I'm worried about my mustache. My passport photo is me with a mustache. Zane's is with pink hair. Don't worry. I think. Good. I don't know. I just always look at me like double to go shaved it. I'm like, yeah, I did. I don't know what I was. It was a phase. And when you're in the state. So, you know, we finally got in. And he was so adamant about getting there on time. And we're like, it's fine. Like we have seats, right? Or because we're all booked. We get in. It is a fucking free for all. It's like, dude, it's all it's backed up all the way to, you know, that little tunnel before you get outside to get your seat. Yeah. Fucking packed. Everyone is just sitting wherever they want. And we're going through the crowd and we just find these empty, like little scattered seats at the top. Not our seats. We get in there. Everyone is just smoking weed. Whoa. It's like there is no beer is like in your seat. Okay, cool. Do anything you do it. It's like the guy in front of just smoking weed. I was like, oh, he's he's about to get stopped. But security's walking up. Security's like, can I get a hit? Enjoy the game. This dude is in front of me. Just dude, he's fucking lit. And I'm starting to get high. Oh, my. Oh, my God. Like, this is insane. It's like because that's crazy. Like, it's crazy how strict they are in the front. But once you're inside, baby, it's party time. Whoa. That's crazy. So I watched this game. Hi. Okay. Secondhand. Secondhand high. And the secondhand high was real, too. It was fucking wild. So we did that. That was like my one night like out, which was like the first night. So I got to enjoy that. I at least got to like, like, got to be within. Yeah. And then we got to eat Subway that night. Oh, Trico. They have great Subway. Oh, real quick. Speaking of Subway. Did you know that a footlong is not a one person meal? Have you seen them trying to defend the fact that like, dude, we never said a footlong is to eat for yourself. It's supposed to be something you split because everybody like people were like going off and there was this huge thing that had to come out and be like, this is the like the person that runs Subway was like, you would never say a pizza is a one person meal. Nobody eats a pizza by themselves. Valid. Like, same thing with Subway. A footlong is not the same. Yeah. It's not the same as a foot sub footlong sub. So now they market it as a two person meal. Oh, interesting. But I mean, they usually sell you on the six inch and then if you want to feel bigger, you're it's not like a regular the footlong is not the regular Jersey Mike's. It's regular and then giant and giant. You know that that's like, wasn't Jimmy eating with Jared? Wasn't Jared eating a footlong every time he ate like, yeah, that's how they fucking promoted it. I mean, it depends how hungry you are, but like, yeah, but then we found out he was not only eating. So that is crazy. That is crazy. Like just gaslighting the fuck out of us. Yeah. Making, making us think that we're fucking crazy. Oh, you guys were eating a whole footlong that whole time. Yeah. No. Yeah. That's, that's winning. Never sounded so good. He ate their new, what is it called? The arch burger. Yeah. And he's eating it like he's a fricking alien. He's never ate his and he calls it a product. Yeah. He goes, this is one of our best products that we've ever put out. Like what are you talking about? You could, you could see him spit it into the napkin like casually like he goes to wipe his mouth after taking the bite and he goes like this, but I love that it started a trend of like CEOs cause actually like I think the burger King guy like ate his and it seemed like a guy who like eats the burgers and actually enjoys it. Like who thought this was a good idea? Did he? I think this had to have got sent to a team before uploading, right? A hundred percent. Like, yeah, they had to have been like, oh, this would be great to have him like tried the product thinking it would be a good idea. But then when they got the footage back, I would've been like, let's not release this. This looks really weird. The concept is great. The execution just kill it. Or was it like the team, it was kind of Sydney, Sweden, they're for American ego. They were kind of like, this is going to get some, but it made me want to try the burger. Okay. Okay. But it made me realize, but get a new CEO. Let's get someone new front facing. Oh yeah. Would it like the CMO wanted to become CEO and they're like, you know what we should do? How about you try the burger? Yeah. This video is good. And now it just kind of, oh, it'll, it'll crush. Yeah. You put it in the CEO chat and everyone is like, oh no, that's good. You should post that. Yes. Maybe it was all just like a coup inside to get a new CEO. Hey, that's what I would do if I was trying to get us, uh, get his position, right? Let's make room for a new, let's make room for a new, let's make room for a new, let's make room for a new one. Not the McDonald's regime change. That's fucking crazy. What is so special about this burger though? This is not an ad. It looks like there's more kind of sesame stuff going on the top looks good. I do want to know what's in the arch burger that makes it so good. Oh, it gives it. When do you eat it? You, it gives you that arch, a two quarter pound beef patties. Yeah. Three slices of white cheddar, crispy onions, and a tangy new sauce. All right. I'm all about a tangy new sauce and a sesame poppy seed bun. But this big arch sauce, I got to try that because I also liked it. The nugget sauce. Can we bring back the McNuggets sauce? Cause sometimes they don't have that there sometimes. And I, sometimes I'm craving, I want to dip my fries in it. The McNuggets sauce is good. Why don't they have a, and I know this is, this might be like dumb, but you know how like McDonald's burgers are just very like, you know, the, you know. They're McDonald's burgers. We all know what it is. The slim patty and all that. They should make like a, the McDonald's premium or the McDonald's, uh, like gourmet. Give me a McDonald's smash burger. Where it's like, where it's like a little, where it feels like a little, like a, like a little homemade. A little bit more elevated. I think they do. They do have like one that is a little bit more like deluxe. It's not the big Mac. It's not the quarter pounder. It's this other one that is a little nicer. They have it. They have it. I believe so. Remember there was like the egg one. Yeah. That was the egg one. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. and uh we're getting back on track you just have to you just have to find somebody that like just cooks the way you like it like i found some guy he's great it tastes really good it tastes really good and you just want to find someone that like delivers every few days because a lot of those meal prep thing they do like once a week and it's like it so it's um it's at do you know what nutra shop is is this like a big chain yeah it does yeah it looks like a gmc is it like a gnc yeah it's a it's like a vitamin shop type spot they stock a fridge every day with meal prep oh that's nice so you could just run in and pick it up and they're a lot cheaper than a lot of other places is it good though uh dude i had the uh cheeseburger mac and cheese dude but it was healthy it was like low-cal high-protein and it was like a healthier version um yeah so that's it they just have that whole fridge stocked with uh meal prep so i just grabbed a few of those that's good um i like it was it's not cheap but it's cheaper than like going to a restaurant um it's 10 bucks a meal and it's all super super clean as look as long as when you're like when you heat it up or like you fry like heat it up in your pan it doesn't just it's not that dry fucking meal prep feeling you know like i i really don't care about the flavor and taste of things i just want the food right oh really like it's it right now it's just convenience yeah oh you see that no for me it's very important i just want what i'm craving yeah i don't like it needs to be good it needs to make me feel like oh i'm having fun eating this and i'm enjoying it where i'm not gonna want to go to something else after you know what i mean oh no right now i just want food in me like i'm just like i get hungry i'm like i just i just need to eat so that's why i was like all right just all right what a burger so you're just you're disciplining yourself in a way where it's like don't look at it as something you're enjoying look at it as fuel like don't we it's it's like phases that we have like when you're like gaining weight losing weight like how do you lose weight how do you lose weight how do you want to do it the way and i'm gonna i'm gonna do it slow this time i think i hit it way too aggressively and too hard when i lost the weight because i just like didn't want to step foot in a gym i was just like i can't i can't do this um but we're gonna we're gonna work our way are you gonna are you gonna start slow where you're only gonna do uh eat better and then you'll like work into like uh working out or is it more just focus on the food we've just been going on walks and stuff yeah we just try to take tony out every day just like move around get the body going it's also better for your fucking hips and shit you don't want to be like sitting around all day which you want to when you especially when you're like taking care of a baby i'm sure like 24 hours a day but as long as you get those hips moving yep dude even just like my dude my grandparent like because they like they're not moving anymore they're just fucking they're locked up it's like a it's like a german shepherd with hip dysplasia yeah it's just like it it stinks it stinks and it's like you you just got to keep your body moving especially the older you get winning never sounded so good what would you do if you want big at crown and conditions apply do we want to do florida man yes i don't i feel like you guys might have seen it because it's everywhere right now um if you haven't you're gonna have the same reaction to when i first saw it okay jared pull that shit up there's this guy in florida that supposedly went underwater i saw this for three days because these dolphins singled him out and asked him to come down underwater and build a city for them what and they they they helped him breathe underwater through these like air bubble pockets and that he said he that he was abducted by dolphins yes kidnapped by dolphin oh wait and the leader's name was was gerald and and basically they communicated through uh telekinesis what happened it's fake before you continue it just it just came out fake well i mean obviously it's fake but yeah yeah obviously it's fake but i think the story is fake oh they're saying the palm beach post reported that fact checkers and law enforcement had confirmed that the story was not true it was a satirical post on the facebook page they do humor report they're doing so many of those because they know they can't they fucking get people they get them god damn it it was in sanibel though i love sanibel on sanibel i go i used to go there every year that's where my my mom got remarried so yeah the original post which did a lot of work on it was a hashtag suggesting it was satirical added that the man was barefoot and severely sunburned and told police that he was taken 40 feet below the surface of the water by dolphins who were led by a foreman named gerald or or hear me out maybe it is real and they're they have to put out that it's satire because they don't want the public knowing that there's an underwater city and that dolphins are really highly intelligent yes he yes we should wear tinfoil hats for one episode and we should wear tinfoil hats for one episode and we should wear tinfoil hats for one episode we should oh yeah that would be sick i then i blame the fucking news because this link that i linked in the the run of show was from a news channel that was reporting on the story retracted and then they had to retract it so i blame the fucking news for not fact checking i feel like these media outlets should be fucking penalized when they put out what like the fact that they and i know they're run like by humans just like us like it's just like us we see something we believe it and then we fucking say it but the thing is that we're not a reliable news source you are a reliable news source we're not sitting here making billions of dollars yeah yeah on cable television exactly yeah you fucking you need to be fined penalized and killed killed guillotine public execution exactly and we all get to see it and you post that but did you see that the there was a rocket underground no hidden rocket under this is pretty crazy this was just discovered in florida jared do you have the um oh yeah oh nice yes it's up so they're going in these like uh bridge pillars and there's this massive rocket wait whoa and that yeah that looks like a real space rocket underneath wait what it was from the cold war whoa just like abandoned is it like inactive yeah so it was uh it was these silos that they placed in florida like around kind of like the cuban missile crisis just in case they ever had to fire it off now a lot of these rockets were decommissioned and taken out of the ground but this one must have just slipped through the cracks oh how does that slip through the how the fuck has nobody seen that yet or been removed dude you know what i would do if i found that i would not post that yet well i'm a fucking well april fool's day i would go grab like just machines that uh that make that just we just need light i'll get like red lights i'd go down there i'd just like tape it to the bottom and then go back and like active rocket freak everyone out oh my god they're about to blow they're about to blow up florida uh-huh it's a nuke wow what a rush that had to have been finding that yeah pretty crazy this post says they hiked seven miles into the everglades which might explain why it was kind of forgotten about dude just think about how much other shit out there is hidden like this that just isn't discovered yet yeah aren't there like active mines still out there yeah from the time like yes in a lot of other countries there are i don't know how many active mines are in the united states but i do know that sometimes they like will find bombs in certain areas like um i don't know excavating things or like building stuff i know and i don't even know in london too they find them a lot too imagine a bomb from like 19 fucking 30 killing you that's how you would you say would would you say that you died in the war i i think i think so it technically would be a like a a casualty like some like some dude in the 1930s got your ass you going up to heaven wait who built who built that who built that mine that was me that shit still worked i put that down there a hundred years ago yeah it's crazy with like landmines like they didn't think like oh yeah maybe in the future this will be a problem yeah for just kids running around in a field i saw this jared this is crazy like vietnam like uh the booby traps all the torture methods of torture and stuff oh gosh insane yeah this is from like a museum in vietnam and the the guide is like explaining all of the different traps and it is sickening what the human mind can think of yeah have you seen this matt yes i've seen clips i sometimes i can only handle like a bit of it because it just makes me like oh my god dude can you imagine oh god just falling through that yeah some of them are pretty these motherfuckers were jigsaw these motherfuckers were putting people in traps and they were enjoying that's that's crazy because you literally couldn't get pulled out yeah no you're fucked this is the type of place your family would take you to on a family vacation while you're getting ghosted you're just looking at all this stuff like oh oh my gosh it makes oh imagine being stuck there and then they have to like dig you out yeah dude the amount of time that would take for them to have to dig that shit out oh my gosh oh my god oh just home aloneing it yeah they should do a home alone a new home movie but it's this yeah it's just vietnam war traps the horror version oh gosh oh my god hopefully those are like are those like spikes at least made out of rubber like what if he just like slipped and fell like oops like in front of all these people giving these tours oh and then put a little curve on that so it gets everything your whole gooch when it goes down oh my god okay what's what what war was more pointless vietnam or iran it's up there i wasn't i've been nervous because patricia and i were going to china in like a few days um and just because there's all this like global conflict you're going to a whole different like country that operates under a whole different system i've been like nervous having to keep up with the news and stuff but there's apparently china's like been staying out of it so we're all fine and actually when you're in china it's actually really really safe i've had like friends there who are like dude you're fine stuff does not go down in china like visit like when they're visiting there or people that live there they live there my friends who live there um but i've just been like so anxious about it because you need a visa to go to china if you're staying there for longer than 10 days but they have a way of not having a visa but you have to come from america but you have to leave china and go to a different country you cannot come back to america does that make sense yeah but yeah but like why i know it's a really weird like loophole but just it's frustrating because like the delta app and everything's like you need a visa but they don't understand that we're doing this alternate way of going there yeah oh you're going to china i forgot yes we're going to china we're going shanghai and beijing and then we're going to seoul for just one night and then coming to china before no i've never been oh with all that mandarin you've been learning yeah it never happened because vine was popping off right after college i thought i was gonna go and then i had to get a big boy job and just it never happened for me you know what vine did really fuck up our plans for a little bit all of our little plans that we uh had you know it's i can't believe you haven't been there i don't know why this whole time i thought you you've been to china multiple times no no i just haven't and because then it was like i wanted to go right before covet and then covet happened and then it was just like these years of it not really well you better you better be getting that content out there we'll be expecting absolutely but there's also you have to get like vpns you have to get um oh all these different types of run through their own apps and yeah right their whole their social media is different there's are you just gonna hold content until you get back no or are you gonna try to like i think you can post it on social media and everything from it i mean i've seen tons of people who make content on it i thought i thought vpns can't even like buy you can't even bypass that in china because their shit is so i thought you can you can oh i didn't think you could do that no it's it's fine it's allowed you just yeah oh so people that even that live there they're doing vpns like my friends in china like post all the time like people when they're visiting i thought they were super strict with that out there that's what the like a girl that i know that's actually moved back to china she was telling me that everything is run through like one app and you it's like very strict out there like a citizen it's a little different but if you're like a proper tourist who needs to have like connection back to your home country i think they're a little lax on it yeah okay so um but i am really pumped for it but just that visa thing it's just been making me anxious because you have to right when you get to the gate agent you have to show everywhere you're staying they have to calculate the hours make sure you're like satisfying it and it's just like i'm just so nervous if god forbid yeah it doesn't meet the requirement though i've double checked it i've been discussing all of this it's just dude reddit is great for shit like that yeah like just to just to kind of figure it out what yeah what are the few places that you're excited to uh go or do shanghai and beijing i mean we're doing the classic seeing the metropolis that is shanghai and going to beijing and seeing the great wall are you gonna ride on the forbidden city hanging train the hanging train they have like a hanging that's in chongqing like the the one that like goes through a building yeah yeah that's like that's another city people always say like do 10 days out of the city that's another city that's another city that's another city that's another isn't even enough to see what china is and you're going to want to continue to go back but this just feels like we're doing a classic seeing all the uh yeah the hanging train that's really big that's so sick it's like a roller coaster it is like the hanging suspended but i just i love traveling and like figuring it out and like figuring out the plan of what you're going to do it's just i don't know it's exciting it's refreshing we're staying at a great hotel that's like right by the uh the pearl tower that red ball one oh their buildings are so beautiful that's basically gonna be the view from our hotel room i'm really fired up i'm treating myself like big time yeah this because this has been a trip i've been dying to do so get ready for all the stories and everything when we finally come back we want to see the content only in mandarin oh yeah because you have to because you got to post for for the people out there too yeah i gotta be posting on red note and everything yeah dude that looks so pretty i'm like i'm really jealous matt that's gonna be awesome i'll let y'all know how it is man i'm been do you have like a full like um itinerary yeah yeah i'm gonna see the great wall yeah we're seeing the great wall and they say like when you go to beijing you should really see the great wall on your last day don't do it as your first thing because you'll be like kind of tired and pooped out from doing it that it could kind of affect the rest of your trip oh it gets getting there is a is a hassle yeah and like walking it and stuff it depends how like long you want to walk i'm kind of i'm not interested in like oh we need to go on this massive trek down the great wall i'm just kind of like if i were to go i would just walk walk like a few hundred feet walk back and be like i walked it yeah you should you should walk the whole thing i think that there's like you can take little like um little slides all the way down and stuff they have these gondolas and that's i still think it's insane that it's that fucking long it's it makes no sense that is truly a wonder of the world like it really is it is but i'll let y'all know how it goes like to me that doesn't match some of the other wonders like that you think that's a better wonder because you're sitting there wondering how the fuck was that built like to me that doesn't match some of the other wonders like that you think that's to me that's what a wonder is yeah the pyramids we all wonder how the fuck that happened you know it's like what's the what's the total miles of the great wall again i got a thousand miles over 13 13 000 miles back and forth across the united states multiple times yeah almost five times back and forth uh on the of the united states that's crazy it's so fucking so yeah we're going to mutiny or is it this one yeah that's the one we're going to less crowded section yeah less crowded all right crown coins winning never sounded so good what would you do if you want big at crown coins casino real people win real prizes there's better i feel like they're like they make really good i like heidi lao that's over in century city and it's like really popular in china but it's called it's called heidi lao heidi lao okay hot pot and they have like robots that come like deliver you like drinks and stuff you pick your your broth it's like a little tom yum broth they have a little tomato based broth and it's just so good tons of veggies and everything oh fuck yeah can you get like um what we know is chinese food out there and just let me know how americanized ours is and like if it's anywhere like try like a general general so's chicken yeah because i need to like i want to see what like their real deal is like 100 i'll let you know their their big thing is nope it's not what that's vietnamese i do love pho what's their like soup like wonton soup miso soup or no miso japanese wonton wonton that's egg drop soup yeah that's another soup i love egg drop soup i love wonton soup too egg drop is it just like a egg like one egg in it yeah they like kind of crack an egg into it and it adds like the broth and stuff and it's got like the the stringiness of like the egg that like goes through it oh so good um do you guys use apple maps or google maps uh apple the one that's on our phone i use apple i can't i can't do google okay cool i just feel like some people are like huge loyalists to google maps i see a lot of uh uber drivers like to use um google maps and maybe it's like a it's i think i think it depends on your car too right because i think some cars take google maps maybe better like when you like link it to your car like i do i do like apple carplay and i love just the integration of the apple maps with like it's just right to me it's so much easier yeah i like ways when i use ways actually pretty often i only use ways when i try i need to figure out the next day time i should leave for something that's the only time you can do that you could do that on apple i know you could do that on apple but i trust ways for that ways is great for rush hour in just la where you just don't want to get on the highway and you want to find a quick way to navigate the hills ways what i don't like about ways is that ways will it will take you the fastest to write but it will take you through side streets and shit and sometimes i like to i want to see some houses it'll make you it'll make you take all these left turns on busy yeah and you got to pay attention yeah and i and i hate that i hate that no i hate that dude when you take ways it'll make you cross an intersection that is fully bumper to bumper traffic that you can't get across faster yeah it is the fastest route to cut through but good luck waiting for an opening coming this way and going that way to shoot straight across it's too stressful it's the anxiety i can't do it but yeah no i like i like i like my apple maps i learned something interesting because it was st patrick's day and i was hanging out with just some irish people they were saying that when you turn 100 in ireland you get like a bonus from the government that's basically like 2700 us dollars really returning 100 you know congrats you're 100 years old here's 2700 that's funny you know it'll work when you get a bonus and hey you did good it's like it's like the world giving you a bonus like you made it to 100 good job like that is kind of cool your your lifestyle has brought you to 100 years old here's money how much did they give you oh that's it yeah 2500 euros i'd want a lot more than that if i reached a fucking hundred well i mean you don't have much time to spend that i know right i'm kind of like what do you do when you're 100 years old and you get that bonus like yesterday just treat yourself i think i think when you're 100 i think if you're 100 i think you're ready just to go honestly like you're probably so god damn tired it's it's enough to cover the cost of the casket and burial and then every birthday after 100 you get a commemorative coin and a letter from the president that's cool i looked it up in the united states and they we do not offer any like federal like of course monetary bonuses but you can get a letter from the president you don't get it automatically but i guess you can just like ask for it and you get it and it just says the shit that's in our food in this country you won't make it to 100 it's very fucking rare i think now the people that do reach 100 they i don't think they live here i think they live in other countries my grandma's 99 she's almost there wow where does she live kentucky are you gonna throw her like a big party for her hundredth i she would hate that i love my grandma to death she is miserable well how does she what's her lifestyle like uh kind of like what you were saying with your grandparents very stagnant um she just she has this recliner that she sits in how does she eat uh she eats fairly clean like a lot of soup and stuff that's good um because you know she grew up like during the uh like little bit post-depression wow um and so she kind of like has that mentality where she'll just like make a soup that just has like everything in it and then eat that for the next week it's crazy that your grandma right now is pretty much me two more times everything i just lived in my life times it by two that's insane that's insane insane insane insane times it by three oh sorry sorry i meant two more times oh yeah yeah what i just did two more times it's not it's gonna be like kind of lonely once you're that old and like all of your friends are like kind of gone that is such a weird feeling and hopefully you're surrounded by tons of people after you that's like your offspring and your family of the life you've created but just knowing that your friends are all gone that would just make me so sad that is such a crazy thing to think about like in your lifetime you're either people are going to either be dealing with you gone or you're going to be dealing with them gone and that's fucking sad her sister lived to be 112 whoa yeah has she moved at all does she like leave town or like is she someone who's like always lived in kentucky because sometimes like people who've lived a hundred are people who like been in the same spot or the same area always lived in kentucky like uh we drive around and she's like that's where i went to school you know that's where i got like my first communion and stuff she's very religious and so she's like really holding on to that fact and i think i think that's what's keeping her going damn i think i'd be super religious too when i was getting close to the end where i'm like you know i'm religious now i better get right i want to have an afterlife if there's if there is one yeah if there is one please what happens to because you know like muslims y'all gotta pray like what four times a day or uh it is three no i thought it was five five what happens if you're so old like you can't get down on the ground and like do the whole thing i think god will i think god will let you go let's let us slide with that good good just like oh no there's definitely a way like i remember seeing uh like my my grandparents they would they'd be sitting down like they would have like a table here and they'd be like oh my god and they would just like okay yeah because that wouldn't really work like people like muslims that are in wheelchairs right no no yeah no no no get on the ground like you will like you will be punished yeah there's no like yeah you know he knows but it is weird there is like you know certain things where if you don't like don't get it done and you don't make up for it like you will be punished it's like that's not fair it's it's like it's okay we're human we're human my grandma had a kind of similar thing where it was she got like hip surgery and uh it was like painful for her uh for a while to like leave the house and uh go to church so my mom had to bring her uh priest to her house bring the church to bring to bring the church to her and the priest told her because she was like so distraught at the fact that she couldn't go to church and the priest came over and like blessed her and told her it's okay like you're healing you're it's fine god will forgive you for not going to church every sunday no he won't that's really nice of him to do that though yeah i mean he that's that's like his one job though exactly bring bring faith all right guys well ending on a higher note um thank you so much for tuning into another episode of zany he's Summary:
