The World Cup Gambling Podcast hosts Malcolm and Barry recap the opening matches of the tournament, expressing satisfaction with their winning picks. They note that all four teams in the first games played as expected, making handicapping straightforward. The hosts discuss their viewing strategies, with Malcolm admitting he fell asleep before the late game but watched it later. They also share family stories, including Barry's creative approach to balancing his wife's birthday with World Cup viewing, and Malcolm's daughter's elaborate Bart Simpson costume for her last day of school. The episode features a new segment where they play a football-themed "Guess Who?" board game, adding a lighthearted element. For the upcoming match between Qatar and Switzerland, the main pick is Switzerland to score in both halves at favorable odds, given Qatar's poor form and Switzerland's attacking record. The hosts emphasize their confidence in this pick and look forward to continuing their successful streak in the tournament.

My name is Malcolm Bamfits, come and do a new castle upon Tyne in the north east of England today is Friday June the 12th. We are here to handicap the four game scheduled for Saturday June the 13th and spanning across midnight if you're somewhere near this side of the world. Joining me from somewhere in Nottinghamshire is Mr Barry Pennelluna, all right buzz, what's happening? Good evening, it's all happening now, World Cup's on, games are football, all hours of day, it's all good, I enjoyed last night, did you? I did, we're off and running Barry, two games down, 102 games to go up, I'm a bit sad, it's nearly finished now, but it's hard to feel like it's like the end is creeping up all of that effort we put in. I was quite happy last night, at the clock I had made, it was Helen's birthday yesterday, I told you yesterday, no. Oh yeah, so Helen's birthday combined with World Cup Open and Day. I had to be quite strategic about it so I took the afternoon off work, I took her out for a nice lunch and then in the evening, bought her a bottle of wine and let her just drink a wine while I watched for balls, so that was all fine, she was okay and actually I managed to get the kids into it as well, so the four of us sat down at eight o'clock and watched the first half of Mexico V South Africa. Of course, Lovall and K-1 at nine o'clock didn't it? At which point I had done off to the bath and watched the second half from the bath and they watched Lovall Island. So I worked out alright, I got them to watch 45 minutes of football, so that was a good start. Actually, very, very similar, anyway, the IT department here decided she thought she should watch the first game, like some sort of momentous occasion, they do. Yeah, I don't think so. They were impressed with their enthusiasm. So they all watched the first half, half time then came and the, I don't want to spoil anything, but the new board game, which is going to make its debut in about 25 minutes time. The new board game got an out in at half time, but it was just chaos, it was predictable chaos, it's football themed and it was just chaos, it was women and children playing a football related board game and I was just sitting there, it was a shambles, it was quite charming though. But what we wanted, Barry, was we wanted some football, we got that, we wanted to enjoy it, I think it was all very enjoyable and not so crucially, but what helps is we wanted some winners and we got those as well, didn't we? I think the entire world handicapped Mexico was out of that for care, wasn't prize-winning, but what happened was all four teams were very, very on-brand, weren't they? All four played exactly as we thought they would, there was no one to, oh, I thought they saw South Africa, were very attacked. Mexico did exactly what we thought they'd do, as did South Africa, as did South Korea, as did the Czech Republic. So that was an I start in terms of picking up those easy wins, but we've got onto the picks and some of the football. I have got a confession, Barry. I went to bed before the South Korea Czech Republic gave a failed on night one. I know. So this is a safe space, I'm telling everyone. I went to sleep here about half past midnight on the sofa, sit my alarm for 10 to 3, but I put the baseball on in the background, I always listen or watch something, I have something in the background, so I had the Orioles marring his own and I just couldn't get comfy out here that in the background, I was getting annoyed. So at about 10 past two, I sort of came around and just thought, fuck this, I'm going to bed and I went to bed, watched it at 9 o'clock this morning, which was actually, I'm honestly getting the whole thing watching about it now, but by the time you wizz through the hydration breaks, half time, people rolling the floor, all that sort of came. So I'm going to try again and definitely stop enough to watch you essay tonight just with the big in the home, the hosts and obviously the homeland of around 58% of our readers. So yeah, I am, I apologise to everyone for that. Bas, if you've got a school lever in your house today, she's got one more day, she has an exam on Monday. Oh, that's disappointing, not final exam Monday. So yeah, she's getting there, nearly there. But yeah, no big departure until Monday has her last day and then she's got to go into school next Friday for some sort of leave as assembly, whether the vlog will go in in fancy dress. She's going as Bart Simpson. She's got a yellow balaclava, touched with a yellow crown for the spiky hair. Red tea should, big blue denim shorts, she's got face paint to face the red, paint the rest of our face yellow and a skateboard, a carry under our arm. So it looks very good. Well, she's pretty good at that sort of thing, isn't she? I've seen some of our Halloween stuff in the past. She, she wanted to pull off and a big game home the day last day at school and she's going to have it build in these things up in her head to be some sort of, I thought, when she came in, I thought it might be a little bit too much, but actually she was absolutely fine. A shirt was all signed in all that melody. All Bob's mates, it's signed as shirt, noticeably around the chest region. So like that, oh, so Bob's 14, you know, made to take full advantage of the shared sign in, in copter field. So fair play to the last. So yeah, that was that. Put them. Listen to Mail Barry. I don't know if you've got any. I was going to shout out Lonnian A, Lonnian A sent in the wildest wall chart we've seen yet, but you haven't uploaded it. I just, I didn't post it on X. And it's absolutely incredible. It's so busy. There's so much going on with it. But the thing about this wall chart, Barry, so what you've seen it, like it's incredibly difficult to explain, but also it comes with on the back. I never told you this at the time, Barry, a poster of Peter Beadsley playing for England. Challenging Ruud'sullet. It is cock and balls have come out of his shorts. This is on the classic picture. All right, I don't know where with this picture. So that pictures on the back of the wall chart. So not only strange that you would put it on the wall chart, I think, or it's on the back. And they've sent a sticker to you can cover up the aforementioned cock and balls in case it's a family friendly environment. So yeah, we'll, we'll upload that next time, but it is over there on X. Barry, can I get an E to year on the new sound effect? Struggling to find a good quality sound effect for the what you've requested. So I'm still working on it's work and progress. Sounds like an excuse, Barry. No, it's not there are many generic. There are many. There are many. So safe space. I've just admitted that I've got a sleep. If you haven't been asked to do that, that's why if you just listen, there are many generic sound files have said instrument that you have requested, but it is a very slow like it just it's gone on to it. You need the stadium sound within it. So I'm going to have to find a video and extract the sound from a video. That makes sense. Right. It's a little too technical for you, but there is a genuine reason why I haven't got it yet. Also, the fact that you have a full-time job mark. I was going to say that would take five days to extract that sound effect. At least, at least. So we get to how it's ordered. Right. We're called. You just sit you just sit around on the sofa and you know you could try and work out how to do it yourself. AI could go to you. Right. I'm too busy making a shit son of winning picks. But I'm going to listen a male Malgum before you. Oh, God. We've got Mitch me 87 on Spotify. He said he's been listening since halfway through last season. Looks forward in new episodes that helped him get through his work and day. But he says he's learned very early to take a little notice of the tips, but he does enjoy the random chats about absolute nonsense. That's what we've been telling people from day one. It's a perfectly valid opinion. You know, you can we encourage people. You can make money by going the opposite way. If that's what you want to do, hopefully you didn't do that yesterday because Malgum smashed everything. But he did say great. If I put in all of this world cup content and he hopes we're a million pounds. So cheers Mitch. I think the thing without it with the picks pass they're not tips for to start the picks. And also I don't think people are living and dying with them. We don't do them. And just we know that from the community that's here a lot. People don't live and die with them. That's not why I started listening to SGP and I had never lived and died with Sean in Ryan's tips picks. I would sometimes what something they would see would back up something I thought it would make me play the book in the airs on a Sunday. Just opinions.
Yeah, absolutely. Look at all my opinions at the minute. I can't. Fairly, it's impossible to pick a loser. Bass. I mean, I hope it carries on. I hope it carries on. By the way, I'm doing the MLB. Sure, and a bit, Bass. MLB on the week. I am 40, 23 and 4. I mean, like, people think I'm not paying much attention. The MLB, because I've been doing all of this. Like 13.9 units up on the MLB. We just want to build up the World Cup. You were having a lot of luck in various aspects of life or anything. Yeah, yeah. Just be falling into place. You want, you know, you're on a streak, right it. Ride it, Bass. Let it ride company model. So yeah, the football wise tomorrow, football yesterday, sorry. Mexico or South Africa. I actually got a little sweat in both games, because the handicap was a goal in both half, 2-0, 5-1, correct score. The main pick was Mexico to win in under four goals. But then the red cards after-- particularly the first one. I thought, oh, Mexico, we're going to run this score up. But it didn't. So yeah, that was absolutely brilliant, but I think all of gambling Twitter had it off on that game. That was the one that just went to form. Yeah, I mean, when Mexico went ahead early on, I had Mexico one over 1.5. And I just thought I can't lose here. But then you get the 60 minutes, and you're still waiting for the second goal. I had messaged you just before. They say, I really need this second goal soon. Yeah. And once that goes in, feeling like a big relief, as you see, we put a lot of time into this preview shows. We've done 14 pre-tornum and previews. And then the first picture. And as you said, you just want to get some win as early on. You don't want to be in that position, where you're two or three days in, and you're struggling. So it was nice to get the first one under the belt. And then you followed it up with more. I didn't do so well in the other. But it wasn't a million miles away. I haven't given out that five to one correct score. I then followed it up with a 10 to one correct score, which, if my maths are correct, Barry, that permits me 17 consecutive losing picks. So I'm golden until next Saturday. I reckon I'm falling in. Till next Saturday. Two, one, the South Great. I mean, the only thing that didn't go by way was Jungmin Son didn't score one of the dozen chances that he got. That was disappointing, because that was one of the tournament long picks. He's not out of it. And, but I mean, it was a bit of a slight indoors moment. It's nail nail look to be dodgy. And then when the Czech Republic scored, you thought maybe they could defend like badges and hang on, because that looked like something that were capable of doing South Korea equalised pretty quick. My handicap was that South Korea would score the last goal. So I was pleased when the equalised. And then I was absolutely delighted when the turned it round in one, two, one, it turned the world. But it was the slide indoors, very much the su-check. Just allow goal. 78, 79 minutes, something like that, marginally offside. And then up the other end, it was two, one. And actually, they missed a couple of chances nearly. And so again, a fun sweat. I was sitting here this morning. Really enjoyed that last 10 minutes, because my last goal was in the two. One was in, but there was still a lot of jeopardy. But yeah, perfect start, that was absolutely perfect. Yeah, the one thing I didn't mention, I put out a card pick as well. I did say Mokawena for South Africa was one advantage for the card and 17 minutes in, that hit. So that was nice. I think that was around five to two for that one. One other thing I do, I mean, I enjoyed the thought I didn't stay up for the late game. I had no intentions of doing so, because I had to be out early this morning. I will, like you tried tonight. I'm probably going to have a little nap and then wake up at two o'clock, I think, for the USA game. But one thing from that Mexico game, what an absolute beauty that stadium is, the Aztec R. Oh, it's absolutely immaculate. That's where the final should be. Like, been off all the American shit and Donald Trump and all the Ras Mitas, that's going to be at that final. And just stick it in there, fill it full of Mexicans, because it's a beautiful stadium that like. I was there again, that's one of the things I was telling the family when I was trying to maintain interest about just, I mean, it's always in my lifetime being the biggest and best stadium in world football, I know the capacities reduced a little bit now. I guess they re-furbed it. Only re-opened a few months ago. I did the re-opening game in the. I want to say, might have been Mexico, Netherlands and a friendly maybe or a clear South American champion, so he gave me something like that. I can't remember. Joe Bamber's joined us, Joe, is asking about the Canada game, which kicks off in 40 minutes. We've got the same bit as you, Joe, we were bossing a drone or bit. Oh, sorry, bossing a double chance, Joe's gone with bossing a drone, but yeah, you're on the right lines, that's what we think. I thought bossing a with them, I underdog of the first round to fix just. Bas, anything else before we would make some picks? No, let's make some picks. And then we'll just finish in time to get straight back into some more football. I'm looking forward to Canada today. Yes, yes. Right, before we move on, we have been for three months, looking for a new board game. Since Barry beat me at kickoff, having previously beat me at battleships. So Barry is two and a, and I found one visual here we have got World Cup football. Guess who? Do they have guests who in America, but I still think. Oh, look at that. Oh, everyone's gone. I don't know if they've got guests who in America. I don't know if they have if it's called guess who I imagine they call it something ridiculous like, hey, buddy, who's that guy? Something like that. So anyway, we're going to have a game. We're going to play it right very briefly. The rules were going to play a best of five. And we've added our own Southern pause rule is the entire duration of the five games. You can't repeat a question. So once the questions got once, the question's gone. Otherwise, get a little bit repetitive. The point being by the end, it's going to be pretty tricky. Joe's right, the game looks familiar, but they don't call it that. They will call it something really silly. Joe, go and find out. Right. So randomly, Barry select your man. I'm selecting that man and putting him in my thing. There is one other thing here. If you notice, there is a player in this game whose name shall not be mentioned on this show. Ladoo pays up front for Liverpool. So this is him here. Barry, he's out the game. Yeah, no player. If you can get shot at your man, Barry, he's not square on mine as well. There's an empty square on yours for that lad. Which hand is the tiny Dyson? Would you like to go go? That no other one. Yeah, wrong. Didn't that one. I mean, so I'll get to go first. Ronnie soon army says they do have that and it is called guess who. All right, Buzz. Does he play in the Premier League? No. No. OK. Bang, bang, bang. You can get ready to be your question while I put my guys down. Yeah, he's gone. Gone. Gone. Go on. Gone. Gone. That's decent. Right. Is yours sporting a predominantly white shirt? Yes, he is. Oh, yes. OK. There you go. That's the end of that for the team or of that? On the next picture. First one to three wins. First game on Saturday is an eight o'clock kickoff. Did you enjoy that Barry? I was lovely. Yeah. I sure all the listeners enjoyed it as well. So if they enjoyed it, half as much as they enjoyed kickoff, Barry. The rid for it. Absolutely. Yeah, this is an eight p.m. Kickoff. Three p.m. Eastern time on Saturday between Qatar and Switzerland. This game takes place in San Francisco. Qatar are 11 to 1. The doors 11 to 2 plus 5 50 and Switzerland to 29 minus 455. Really quick handicap for me, Baz. I did these games last night and I just watched Mexico South Africa. And because we just said all those teams played to how we perceived them. This was really easy.
because we perceived Qatar to be shite, and we perceived, so that it may have decent, and I haven't just watched similar things happen, like that was hard to get away from. There's a clear goal between the two teams, Switzerland archaic, but they've gotten amongst the goals. They had a 4-1 against Jordan in the warm-up, they scored 3 against Germany, Sweden 4-1 recently. Qatar didn't score against Al-Salvedor, the Republic of Ireland, Tunisia, Palestine, in the build-up. So I think Switzerland can win to Nile, but they've found a pick at a better price. That Switzerland to win to Nile is 18-25, minus 1-38. My main play in Qatar with Switzerland is going to be Switzerland to score in both halves at 5-6, minus 1-20. I've got the correct score here is Switzerland 3-Katar Nile, it's a player at 6-1-Berry. I did pick a little player, I picked it one from the Qatar side, because we all want to be fully one-sided. To play that, I talked up a little bit in the previews. It's Akram Afif, he's one of the best as his story is only a young lad, actually, 29 years old. 128 caps, 40 goals, in one of the best players across the Asian Federation for a long time, is Akram Afif. Two shots is 11-2-8, plus 1-37, he's by far Qatar's most creative and attacking player. So Akram Afif to get a couple of shots off, but yeah, that main play will be Switzerland to score in both halves. Like it, I mean Switzerland have made a bit of a habit of reaching knockout stages in tournaments recently, they've made a round of 16 in the last three World Cup and the last two euros, and I just can't see this group given them much trouble. I am quite hot on Switzerland in this group, and it's the perfect goal, but now for them, they're sealed through qualifying on beaten, top of the group with Sweden, Slovenia, Kosovo, and they've lost only two with their last 17 games. Now, the two defeat are coming against Spain and Germany, so against a good level of opposition. Qatar qualified his horse last time, completely out of their depth, lost all three group games by two clear goals, and I just don't see this tournament being any different. They've won only once in the last 14 games, beaten United Arab Emirates, was the game. They've failed the score in each of the last four, so no reason at all to think they'll trouble the Swiss here, but then it's how you find that bet. I don't mind the way you've gone. For me, it's leaning in at Swiss clean sheet. They've kept four clean sheets in six in qualifying. They've kept six clean sheets in the last 11 overall, and with Qatar not scoring against anyone recently, the clean sheet for Switzerland was the way I liked it. Last time round in Qatar, they were shut out twice by it, with all Netherlands. They did get a consolation against Senegal in one of those games. But Switzerland, Winter, Nile, was where I thought I would end up. Four to five, the alternative at a slightly shorter price would be Switzerland minus one and a half on the handicap, because I think they will have more than a goal in them. That's at four to six, but I think Switzerland win this, two nil, three nil, maybe. So I'll take Switzerland to Winter Nile at four to five, minus one, 25. And I've also got a player prop for you as well. I love this one. Dan and Doye, who plays for Notnam Forest, or doesn't play for them very often, he usually starts on the bench. And he doesn't contribute much to a forest in terms of goal contributions, goals or assists. But for Switzerland, is he a different player? He's had five goal involvements in his last five games for Switzerland, and ten in his last 11, he's got loads of form for goals and assists in his Switzerland team. And he's eight to five here, plus one 60 to get a goal or assist. I think Switzerland have got two or three goals in them here, and I fancy Dan and Doye to play a part in at least one of them. So yeah, he looked great for a goal or assist at eight to five plus one 60. Is he really that price because oh right, you say I've got a mid four to five pass to score all assists because I looked at one player pro for Switzerland. I ended up giving the guitar one because I wanted to do that instead. And Dan and Doye was my player, and then I did everything that it all the work you did, loved it, and then looked at the price, and it was shy, so if there's a bigger price around. I can't remember where, which it is four to five on yeah, I'll have a little girl maybe not Skybeth, but I'll check that out. I was, because I thought am I getting, I thought am I getting two to one or something? I thought I'd found the arsonifer of the week, and then it was four to five. So that's why I pivoted a little bit to a fifth. Next game is three two a.m. It's not two a.m. It's 11 p.m. which is six p.m. Eastern time. Saturday night. This is Brazil versus Morocco. Best game so far. Normally with the biggest hit as Brazil are four to six. They are minus one fifty two. Draw is forty to five plus two eighty. Morocco on this slide here. Morocco and now ninety two plus four fifty. I had them at plus four twenty five. And I do kind of know why I'm a roco on this slide, and it's worrying me because my initial handy cap preview shows, group etc was Morocco heavy, but they've got some entry news which is concern in me. I'll let Barry tell us what he's got if it plays into that. This game by the way New York, New Jersey, which are two different places so you tell me where it is. Buzz. First game of the group, and it's also the plum tie of this group isn't it? It's one. I don't think the biggest trade forward is as people might expect for Brazil. I'm like you I do like Morocco. I'm not very high on Brazil for this tournament. Odzon favourite Brazilian. I just didn't fancy the mid eight to thirteen. Was a bold enough to take them all and take Morocco when it's not not quite. But I did find a pick that I like that doesn't require me relying on Brazil to beat Morocco with Odzon or vice versa. Morocco are just in that hot a beat category. They haven't lost a game in their last twenty eight now. Granted the level of opposition is mostly well below the quality of Brazil. But even going back like the last World Cup where they seen off Spain, Portugal, in the knockout stages, Belgium and the group stage. And I don't think they've regressed that much in the interim period. It suggests they can't compete with Brazil here. The angle for me was to take Morocco for a goal at least. And it comes off the recent form for Brazil. They've got no clean sheet in the last five. And outside Brazil they haven't got that many clean sheets at all. In the friendly's last week they conceded twice to Panama once to Egypt. Both sides who you put below Morocco. And Morocco failed the score just once in their last fourteen games now. I thought both teams to score looked a really good price. It's plus money. Morocco will get a goal. Will they have enough to win it? I don't know. But I like that both teams to score twenty one to twenty plus one or five. And again I've got a prop in this one. And it's a card. I like cards in this one. This refs being good for cards recently. You've mentioned in the preview shows how you'd be concerned for Brazil about that lack of pace in the middle of the park with Bruno and Casamiro. I agree with that. And I think Morocco will have a bit more pace on the break, which is where they might try and exploit Brazil. Might say Casamiro or Bruno get an exposed on occasions. I like Casamiro for a card in this one. He's been booked in two of his last four starts for Brazil. He picked up twelve in the Premier League last year for Man United. Casamiro for a card at six to four. And if you want to get a spicy with it, double them up with Bruno or J. Take them both to get a yellow card. Eight to one for the double. Like it, bars. So I came into this just one in the factor. Morocco in because like I say, that was the entire preview. But that's because a lot of our opening game picks are unavoidably based when our pre-tornament takes. So this led me to want the fact in Morocco. I think the price is totally disrespectful by the way. That the same price is Haiti to be Scotland. That's a madness because Morocco are very, very good. And on their day can beat anybody. I don't think Haiti can. I know the Scotland aren't Brazil, but I don't think the Gulf is anywhere similar. We were in on Morocco weren't we were high on their tournament experience. The Olympics through to the World Cup semi final through the Afcon. Not a continuity. No sort is a good place. Brahim Deaz, a keemi. You know he Elken News. I watch in the Bundesliga. But it's they've got both a center half. As Shagdbaz. Well, Roman says retired, which is a from short. So again, I forget at the West Ham Giza. You must say now maybe. Engid. Ezal Zooli. Important player is also injured. So the two center backs. He said, Diop and Shaddi Riyad. Both Premier League players. They've got 10 caps between them. And that is not the continuity. That's not the tournament experience. That's not what we've talked about. Two center backs with 10 caps for two in them. Taking on Vinny Rafini, etc. Just led me enough pause for thought. That I had pulled it not. I had a pivot. I couldn't pull the trigger on them. Brazil really good going forward.
like the, the attacking options, but do you know G, Casamiro, Packet R, pass a call believe you've missed about your cards treble, like getting with the treble, get em all in, like is there a body like the yellow card more than Lucas Packet R? - Is that what you love the yellow card for them, don't they? - The three of them, honestly, I could do them over 80 meters. I could absolutely do them. I don't think you'd be far behind, but I think you'd finish fourth in front of one of them. So the initial preview pick was the Morocco double chance would give them a chance to win the group, but those two injuries have got me pumped in the break to pay. I'm gonna take Brazil the beat Morocco 218821. And I think the price barrier is too low for the over two and a half goals, 11 to 10 plus one 10. Was that your pick? - No, I've talked both teams to score. - Oh, okay. So yeah, my main pick for Brazil V Morocco is over two and a half goals, 11 to 10 plus one 10. I think it'll be Brazil to Morocco one. Play a pro local knowledge, all my play Bruno G, you mentioned in bars, fouls won, little ladder as well. This is what he lives for. He looks winning a foul. He gets the ball. He decides somewhere in a 50 adversary who was going to foul him. And then he just bogals in with his massive ass until he feels some contact and falls down. Three or more fouls when he's even money. Four or more was five to two. Five or more is six to one, especially if they get in front. There's no better thing than Bruno G winning a foul with your teams hanging on on the edge of his own penalty area. He's a master. So I'll take Bruno G in the fouls market. - You need to be conjuring up some best builders, don't you? Take on Scotland, Haiti are 17 to four, plus 425. The drone is Berlin, Berlin, 130 plus 333. Scotland, four to seven, minus 175. Haiti are quite interesting here. If scored in the last three games against Peru, New Zealand, Iceland, decent comps, and the friendly form's not trustworthy, I get it. But they did spank New Zealand forward the last week, which is a bit of a head scratcher. Scotland look at a really good place, so the vibes are high. They've got some decent players coming off very good seasons. And for me, there's two really good comparison games in the buildup, four one against Kyraso, four another against Bolivia. Haiti aren't without hope, and they might get a goal. You're over two and a half of peals at nine to 10, minus 11. But ultimately, I think Scotland win, and I think Scotland score more than one goal doing it. My pick here is going to be Scotland to win, and over one and a half goals team tool is nine to 10, minus 11. I've got a final score of 81, Scotland three at 14 to one. Player wise was very high on Lawrence Shankland, but now the books of R2, the prices collapsed on Shankland. So I've swerved him. He was involved in four of those eight goals, against Kyraso and Bolivia that Scotland scored. John McGinn, two plus shots on target, gets involved at three to one. And the Shankland shots on target, same two or more, was 11 to eight, plus 137, but. Yeah, I kept this one quite simple. Two teams who obviously delighted to get here, but only one of them with any realistic ambitions again out of the group, I think. Scotland have never made it out of a World Cup group, but this expanded format, and an urban and game against here, and he gives them their best chance yet. They'll know when here, obviously takes them a massive step towards qualifying, because we think three points might be enough, but they won't be sure it's enough, and with two tough games to come, I think they might be minded to think about goal difference and how that might affect things if the three points was their final total. Here, these qualifying was okay, but let's be honest, it probably wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the fact Mexico, USA, Canada, all got sorted, shoehorned in because they're hosts. So I thought, I thought Scotland would be a shorter price in the audience, price for the seven, and I think it makes them back up all here in a few different ways. I've went exactly the same way as you, it's tagging on the goals. Scotland in qualifying were scoring multiple goals regularly. Five of their six games saw them score two or more. The day they have a poor international break in March lost to both Senegal, not Senegal, it was Japan and I really coast. We're in the last week, you've mentioned the put away eight goals and two games. Against opposition, it's exactly the same caliber as Haiti. Curacao ranked 77 in the world, Bolivia ranked 82 in the world. Haiti are ranked 83, so they're right, good comparisons, as you said. There was a good couple of ways to go for me. I like Scotland to score two or more goals, that's eight to 11, I could happily take that on its own. But realistically, if Scotland score two goals, then I can't see how they don't win this game. And so Scotland win and over 1.5 goals looked to be the better option for me. I've got that at 10 to 11. Scotland's last seven wins all came with them scoring at least two goals as well. So it's a team right, I say and pick Scotland and over 1.5 goals at 10 to 11. Oh, right about now. I'd be pressing the sound effect, but in Barry, but technically, technically, it's not a team right because you called it Scotland and over one and a half team total. And I called it Scotland and over one and a half match total. It's the same bed, but you just described it slightly differently. Oh, sure. Final game on this evening's show is a 5 a.m. kickoff, which is midnight Eastern time between Australia and Turkey. Australia are four to one. The doors 11 to four plus 275. Turkey 7 to 10 minus 1.42. Barry finished us off with a win. Yeah, this group looks pretty well balanced. And I think it should lead to some decent competitive fixtures. The highest rank say in this group, a US air and then ranked 23 places against the lowest rank say Paraguay. And these two are then words right in the middle of it. World ranked 23 and 27. So not not much between them in that sense. I said in my group preview for this group out, it would be potentially quite low scoring. I can see some tight games, some draws. And I think this game fits that mold as well in terms of low scoring. I can just see these two feeling each other out a bit. Maybe reluctant to lose this open game. And I saw a look at the way Turkey had to grind out results to get here. And 1-0 wins over Romania and Kosovo in the playoffs. Turkey kept four clean sheets in their last six games. And those these were defensively good in qualifying considered only 7 and 16 games. They kept 10 clean sheets. Now some of the level of opposition in that was very low. But they also limited Japan, just one goal across two games. The beat Japan 1-0 and the Drew 1-1 in qualifying. And that could be a decent comparison here. Japan a high rank than both of these sides. Australia's recent friendlies also lent to the under three of the last four games all went under two and a half. So the under two and a half just looked to be a pick for me on a two and four to five, I think to perfectly fair price. I think Turkey might edge it, but I'm going to take the under two and a half goals. I'm going to take a little bet builder here. I haven't just said we should put some bet builders together. I did have one for this one. I've got Turkey to win under 3.5 goals. I've got Gula for the goal or assist. And the final piece of it is a yellow card for OctaCoglu, striker for Turkey. He's picked up three in his last four starts for Turkey. 25 to 1 that bet builder. So Turkey to win under three and a half goals. Or a Gula for a goal or assist. And OctaCoglu for a yellow card. 25 to 1 bet builder. You okay, nice, but this is a fascinating game. This is one of my favourites. I think the price is a way too far apart. Turkey aren't that much better than Australia. And I'm really not sure where all the hype's coming from on Turkey. Everyone suddenly seems to be really in on them. They've got the two to draw with Spain in the game log, which everyone keeps bringing that up. But why are you bringing that up? No one brings up the fact that Spain spanked them six days. In the other game, you can't have that one without that one. That one did happen. Two one they'll play off wins against Romania and Coss of all. which was a particularly move of the needle. Not bad comms for this actually.

'Teg ischardz' remember this is the place to begin it to a clock Australian eastern time buzz. It's going to be me, him down there in the suburbs of Melbourne and Sydney, et cetera. So that's just about done at Wrecking buzz, we got the Lockdog and maybe buzzers ladders, sack patrols in. Hello mate, how are you? Sack patrols in the main show. We're showing and writing the other day. Calum wants turkey. Joe wants turkey. I'm on the other side. I'll lead us off buzz. My lock will be Scotland to win with the over one and a half goals. It's 19 to 10 minus 111 Australia is my dog although I went off my rock wood didn't I thought about doubling them up. I'll just take Australia at four to one. In my anytime goals score at the value of went in Shankland, which leads me to more to ray for Australia. This price is insane. Good player plays up for a knowledge 11 to one. First and last four to one anytime score is huge. And yes, the other thing with more to raise very, very good. The play on so one thing, it's going to be a straight swap if they take him off a necessary ear and kunde who plays for what for nothing. So you get the knowledge straight off the what for the strike on and they're very much interchangeable them to and in and couldn't just capable of a goal as well. But I love more to you, Ray. What you got? I've just got a lock and a ladder for you here. So I've got my locks the same as yours. Scotland win and over one and a half goals. And my ladders from the same game. I'm going to take a little Scotland goal ladder. I think Scott you said Scotland three nil. I think Scotland might get up to four. I've got over one and a half goals a day to 11 over two and a half Scotland goals. These are 94 plus 2 25 and over three and a half Scotland goals at six to one. Oof, beautifully done bars. Thank you very much. 43 minutes. We were aiming for less, but it never, ever, ever works out that way. That's why bars puts the chapters and everything in so you can skip to the good stuff. Barry, I think about that. We're putting out the full show, which is what everybody should be listening to. But we are now putting out on podcast on a YouTube, just the game segments. So if you want to go back, haven't listened to the full show, which is obligatory, then you can go back at any point and just listen to the five minute segment for each game, which should make things nice and easy for you. If you want to tune in just before a game kicks off and see whatever thoughts are unfaithed or follow it, whichever you choose to do, then we're making a little bit easier for you now. So find it wherever you normally find it. Are you going to Barry put out clip out and just put out the guest who bits is their own little podcast on. No. Okay. We just got that off here. Right.
