450: Why Your Body Isn’t Healing: Gut, Liver & the Nervous System Explained
36m 4s
The discussion centers on the March Method, a health framework developed by ECA that prioritizes addressing root physiological causes in a specific sequence. It begins with mitochondrial health (M) to stabilize energy production via ATP, followed by absorption and detox (A) to ensure proper nutrient uptake and elimination. Next, the resilience phase (R) focuses on rebuilding gut integrity and immune tolerance, emphasizing food diversity and gut lining repair. Finally, hormonal optimization (H) is addressed. The conversation stresses that health tools like keto or fasting must be applied in the correct order based on individual context, including genetics and current dysfunction. Additionally, the Elite OS app is highlighted as a comprehensive platform designed to unify coaching, data analytics, and client education, solving inefficiencies of using multiple disconnected systems. The overarching goal is to empower individuals with a systematic understanding of their bodies for sustainable health.
- Let's see Perry, welcome back to the show, ECA director of education and director of coaching. I just broke the mic, just started the show, there we are. - Broke the mic. - Back at it, we're moving to Texas. Hopefully. - I'm glad we're not live, 'cause that is not live yet. - Hopefully. - We are moving to Texas. - Let's go. - Dallas, Texas for at least a year. - There we go. - We'll see. - And then we'll see from there. - We'll see from there. - But since last time you were on "Takes of Grown" with an ECA, NFH, quite a stounding amount, good lord. We have a task. - We have a task. - The world needs to know and understand March method, because we came up with March method as this is a very unique process the ECA teaches our operators, but we run with our one-to-one clients. And the reason why I know that this is the best system in the world in order to achieve results for yourself or your clients or your coach or any others, we're starting at the root cause of what causes life to be helpful, which is ATP generation. Your body's ability to have healthy mitochondrial signaling. This has a downstream all the way to your neural health, your neurotransmitter ratios, your hormone levels, the ratios of your hormone levels, but how well you can generate ATP is how well you are able to live life. And something I find fascinating as our cellular membranes, a really, I find the most fascinating is biogenesis. Maticotral biogenesis, our biogenesis creates new ones, but the body creates new ones in the form of what it bleeds is healthy in that moment. So man, once you start having dysfunction, - Yeah. - That's how we start creating. - Well, it's how the cells making decisions, right? - Yeah. - It might occur to you being the powerhouse and your kill switch, right? So killing bad cells. So when we think of cancer cells, cancerous cells, that one probably started a long time ago, but I think the most interesting quote I read is, cancer occurs because it's the only adaptation that the cell had, right? - Wow. - So it was like the only way that the cell knew how to act. And so I actually flipped the script on health. And I'm like, my body is acting the exact way that it should with the raw materials that it had. So in EFH, in our top tier package, we do use genetics for nutrient genomics, right? Because your body, your methylation, your detox, and things like that may need more of certain nutrients than my body needs. And so we have to, we can actually go back to this and one of my mentors was like, I actually think you're gonna see epigenetic changes if you can really start at the mitochondrial level. And so my biggest goal for EFH, for everyone, mission vision, passion, when it comes to this work is to really teach people about their own body. So when they get into kind of a mess of sorts, they can work backwards and say, okay, I need to go to M, I need to go to A, I'm in R, C, and H. And so that's some of the best feedback that we've gotten from our clients is the fact that, you know, a year later, oh, I wasn't feeling great. We just got that message yesterday, right? And oh, I-- - It was a testable to this poor read in right now. Let's go to-- - Like, I went back, I did this, I focused on X, Y, and Z, and I can't thank you enough because I learned this. There's just so much on the internet right now that people are like, okay, do I break down biofilms? Do I fast, right? Do I only go carnivore? Do I go keto? Like, I think we all have to understand that every single thing is a tool. And yes, it has to be used in the right order, but I really do think that as we've worked out March method and ECA, we have level one, level two, it's like, okay, well, we can do this with food, then you can layer in supplements, then you can layer in peptides in each stage. Like, what do you do first? And I think it is a nice way for every individual to go back and say, okay, this falls into-- this falls into absorption and detox, this falls into my resilience cycle signal, health, spam hypertrophy, right? So that is my number one goal for every single person, not for every single person to be health coaching with us forever and ever and ever. That's great if you want to. I do have my long-term clients. That's literally why we do everything in six month options to start because, well, it's six months, we're gonna heal you. You're gonna be able to go on your way. But now we have the Elite OS app. And the Elite OS app is something that you, a Christage is absolutely knocked out of the park. It is stunning. And before I ask you to give a quick backstory on how the Elite OS app works, maybe we can post a link to this show so people can see it in real time. I have been in the online fitness coaching space for 12 years. When you met me, I was very much so considered one of the best coaches in the world. I was like, at worst, top 10. It's crazy to see what's happened since then. And I appreciate everyone's support coming along. That's also why I grew and I podcast got so big. I needed a Elite OS. - Yeah. - When I was in the trenches. - Yeah. - When I was getting top 10 Olympias, when I was winning pro shows, when I was turning everyone pro. I needed a Elite OS and my job would have been 80% easier. The stress would have been 80% less. I could have moved 80% faster. Hell, I never had a short coming of clients. That's for certain. And I could have handled more clients. - Yeah. - Why are we different from the other apps that are out there? - Well, I think you, well, first of all, I have used, I don't know, I talk in my hands too much, for sure. (laughing) I have used, you can ask Maureen 'cause she's been my assistant coach for almost three years now. - Maureen's killing it now. - Maureen is killing it. She is like-- - I love Maureen. - She actually brought up a really good point. And she said, "Lindsay, you should bring on an apprentice." - Yeah. - To learn, 'cause Maureen basically started as kind of like my assistant. And I would be like, "I want to do this, this, and this." Like, help me put it together. Because at the time, I was working two jobs. I was in medical advice and I was hopping on planes. So I'm like, "Can you pull this and change X, Y, and Z?" And she would be like, "Why are we doing this?" Right? So, I mean, she may ask me a question here or there. But I'm just like a proud mom, even the Marines older than me. But she brought up, she was like, "Hey, I think you should bring on an apprentice to learn underneath you and essentially do exactly what I did over the past couple of years." And so, everyone went up for that. (laughing) I, Maureen and I have probably switched from four to five systems or I've used two systems at a time, right? So I think we're at this really interesting point in health coaching, fitness coaching, everything else, where you have true coach, you have coachRX, you have trainerRIs. That is mainly focused on the workout side of things, right? And then on the flip side, you have things like practice better or you have mala, which is newer. And those are more like functional EMRs, right? But there's no blend. So it's like, "Well, what happens to the people?" I truly believe, I tried to go fully functional, "Oh, I'm not going to do exercise, "I'm not going to do anything else." Let's be honest, part of health is movement, right? And if someone, we were having this conversation this morning, if someone's in keto, right? If their body is not flipping over to a fat burning source readily and you're working that metabolic flexibility, you have to understand how to program workouts for them. So if you're not, as a coach, if you're not giving them guidance, you're trying to focus on something on the functional side, but you're not giving guidance on the movement side, then you're missing a massive aspect. And also if they're going to F-45 and they're trying to do keto, you're probably not going to get your ketones up, the body's too stressed out, right? So I wanted a platform where I could give education, I could give exercise programming, I can give nutrition programming, I can give food lists, I can give extra resources, right? - Post-wabs. - Yeah. - Have graphs, have pretty graphs. - Have pretty graphs. - So that's the-- - So that's the honestly insane. - So that's the other thing. I am, if anyone knows me, I love data. One point I was using, whoop, I was using or ring, like I had it all, but nothing compiled the data well. And I've had coaches myself, I hate Google spreadsheets. - Horrible. - It's hilarious. We're all-- - If you are coaching Google spreadsheets in the year 2026, congratulations, you lost us, thank you. - That's my point, though. And then I, listen, we're all on our computers all day every day, we're all on our phones all day every day. It is so hard for people to fill out a Google spreadsheet. It could be sitting up on my computer and I still don't fill it out, right? And then I go before I check in, I'm just like, oh my god, I didn't do my-- - So much data. - Yeah, and then I was like, okay, well, what happened last Monday, right? Where is-- - We fixed that. - We fixed that, right? It's a daily form, it's 1, 2, 3, 4, and guess what? When you're a coach, you may care about things that I don't care about, right? I care about temps, I care about glucose monitoring, ketone monitoring. So it's beautiful that as long as whatever I want to track, I set it up as an analytic, and then they track it, and guess what, it turns it into a beautiful graph. - Yeah. - 1, 2, 3 done. body tips.
my most proud thing that I brought into the industry, I will say. So I they're so important. And when you come to ECA, you're going to have your clients do it or if you're a client that comes and works with us one to one, get ready for your body temps, they tell you everything you need to know. We're going to crush March method here in eight minutes or less. We're going to start with M. This is the mitochondria health phase. Lindsay, what happens when we are in the mitochondria health phase? M mitochondria health phase is all about energy and stability. So if you are trying to lose weight and you have constantly been eating less and less and less and pushing more and more and more, guess what we have to go backwards. And so we can get really dialed with this. If we're using genetics, we can actually understand mitochondrial genetics, ATG, gerions, certain one, T-fam, P-par, a lot of these different mitochondrial, how much antioxidants you need, right? But the key goal here is stability, right? Cokie 10 creating ATP, getting your sleep dialed, making sure that you are sleeping through the night because most people actually don't realize that they're not sleeping through the night or they're having a hard time falling asleep. So how do we get? Being asleep is not the same thing as sleeping. Yes. Yes. And if you are still pulling out trigger is at this point in time to, right, if you're someone who's drinking a lot of alcohol in the weekends, I think, you know, we have to have that conversation like, but we also need to create a routine. The body needs to create circadian rhythm routines. You need to have your sleep routines. We need to, I don't have my orange lens glasses. We need to put that in here. Enough food, right? We're reversing. We're not fasting. We're not going keto. We're not doing anything crazy in this point in time. We are getting you absolutely stable. And that can be done with food or, you know, we can add some peptides. We can add coq 10 different things like that. I'm not adding a peptide to a person that won't go to bed and wake up or get their fucking son in their eyes. The M phase, we take you out of chaos and put you into stability. What about the A phase absorption and detox? Dive in absorption and detox. So key systems that we are thinking about here is liver and gut health. Now, you, if you're not absorbing nutrients, then we're not using nutrients, right? Now, if you're also, if you're not using the bathroom, you're not detoxing. So I would say the number one and number two is making sure that we're, we're gently doing that. And you may be someone who's, who's like, I have mold, right? I hear that all the time. Oh my God. I have mold. That's the new buzz. It's the new buzz. And I'm going to be honest. I tell the ECA coaches this is, is like, first of all, look at third world countries, right? Who are in like hot, humid climates. No one's talking about mold over there. I'm not saying it's on issue. I'm not saying that mold is not an issue, but I do think it's kind of a fear tactic. Right? So if you are going to the bathroom regularly, if you are sweating at the gym, if you're drinking a fawda and you're you're an eating, those are all your detox pathways. So we need to really make sure that we're doing that. Another indicator is sauna, right? If you're going in the sauna and you're not sweating, Houston, we have a problem there. And like, and then gut health because even it's, let's say you do a mold, right? It's going to come back to your gut. It's still going to come back to the liver, right? And when it comes to people wanting to lose weight, the liver is 15 to 20% of the basal metabolic rate. So even though, yes, your liver, your adrenals, your gut is not just going to stop working. Like you are still alive, right? You're not dead. But we need to, we need to harness the energy and make it perform better at that point. So I think this is different for each person. How much you need to push that? If you've, my recommendation is if you had chronic gut conditions for over six months or more, I'm considering a GI map at this point, right? I'm making sure that bioflow, thyroid, and all that is good. You're eliminating fully. And then I'm considering gut dysbiosis, candida, stomach enzymes, stomach acid, right? Digestion is north of South. So we need to make sure that stomach acid is in a really good spot. And I would say that that is your longest phase, right? So stability, then liver and gut from there. Low stomach acid is a root cause of all autoimmunity. You cannot convince me otherwise. I don't disagree with you. I said a root cause not that, did I say, you said that? Oh, hey, got, hey, got that low stomach acid is a root cause of autoimmune issues. And you cannot convince me otherwise. I do agree with you because I still think I. Coming up worth control. I definitely see some like histamine like issues here and there. When I get more stressed out when stomach acid is lower, when I'm traveling, when I'm, you know, a little bit off here and there, that's when things start to present. Although, just a point, if you do have histamine issues, do you have to be careful with adding HCl because that will increase the system, right? So healing and sealing is is by far the most important before. So there is an order to gut too. There's an order to gut work and not where I wish I understood that at, you know, younger coaching age and I'm grateful we have these say to teach people that now people just come in and I would toss them right away on, you know, an ACV or B team. That's what most people are doing. Yep. But man, if we're not ready for that, we can get MCL brace. Well, even before that, if we have gut permeability issues and now try to drive this stomach acid in there, we have low mucosa, so our gut lining stop being protected. Obviously, that's why there's permeability. I'm not quite sure what happens after that, but I can promise it's not great stuff happen. No, it's not. And now your immune system is going to think that it's fighting some sort of acidic infection potentially. You know, I don't know, but it's not going to be positive. But the A phase can basically be summed up as this is where we get a vast majority of the results because your detox and absorption pathways, if you are having health problems are compromised, you have likely been given many medications that make this worse and we haven't fixed the issue. Yep. So when we get through the A phase, I feel like our work is about 80% done because we have mitochondria, we have absorption, but the issue, well, I see this so many times, you get through a gut protocol and then you relapse because we don't have resilience and that's our. So go ahead and share resilience. Yeah. So resilience for how I look at it is slightly a continuation of your gut phase, right? Because the reality is is you need to spend, especially if you have chronic issues. And this is, this is your immune system, right? You are training 70 to 80% of your immune system lives in your gut. So you're training the immune system to not be as reactive over time. But if you've had gut issues for six years, guess what? That's going to take some time to rebuild. It's going to take more than two months to. Yeah, but we're serving a fix it in six. We are. We are. But that's not to say that it's not to say that, you know, for me, I do really well with PEA and oral BPC, right? Yeah. Yeah. You're, I learned about PEA through you. Yeah. I think, you know, as far as, as far as, you know, immune genetics, PEA is a really good modulator for even if your TH1 or TH2 dominance. And so it, you don't necessarily, it's not going to hurt anything else. It's not going to compete with anything else. And so you're probably going to need to spend, not probably you are going to need to spend time repopulating the gut and rebuilding the mucus aligning for, you know, for some people six months to a year, right? So let's take me, for example, I was on birth control for 16 years. So my mucus, there is science. My mucus aligning is shredded, right? And then let's just talk about how much coffee I drink because that is my kryptonite and I really. That's how the cycle starts. Yeah. Your ATP, it goes low, your brain activity goes poor. Now we have been out because of these medicines. Now we abuse stimulation to be able to keep ourselves up and it's just adding more fire on top of the fuel that sparked it. Right. And then, you know, you're more stressed. Stomach acid goes down. You're setting up the environment to have a parasite or fungus grow or, you know, dysbiosis as a whole. And then from there, you start to get, you know, stepping back to A, you would have these foods and sensitivities, right? So then, okay, I can't eat X, Y and Z. I take X, Y and Z out and I'm only eating chicken rice and avocado. Well, all of a sudden I start becoming reactive to chicken, right? I start becoming reactive to avocado. So my list gets smaller and smaller. Yeah, avocado is common. Yeah. Avocado is common. I've actually never had an issue with it, but I'm using it as an indicator. Yeah. But, you know, your list gets smaller and smaller. So now you're eating three things and you're only putting three bacteria into your gut over and over and over again. So your bodybuilders pay attention. This is why diet, diet variation is the best thing that you can do. You get it? That equals metabolic flexibility. Yes. And so, so, you know, at that point, you've only had these three foods. You only have these three bacteria that your body's used to. So I think food is still an immune response, right? So you add food. Your body can't recognize it. It has this massive flare and you're like, oh, well, that must, you know, I must take out in another food. It's like no that's
we got to actually expand your horizon to food. So that would be poor resilience, right? So coming out of that phase, we need to increase food diversity. We need to repopulate the gut, which increasing food diversity is going to introduce more bacteria to the gut. And we also need to work the mecosaligning. Now at this point, I always say, you need to work liver and gut before you work hormones, okay? I was this person, I was working two jobs, and I was like, so burnt out, I'm like, I just need testosterone. Like, I'm going to put myself onto testosterone. So I mean, great, HRT clinic put me on testosterone. Guess what? I have the CYP gene, I aromatize fast, I had gut issues going on, I blew up like a balloon. Watery mess. So that's why I think a lot of females are going in, and they're being put on HRT, without having some of the liver, the gut, the metabolic stuff, fixed first, and it's backfiring, right? Even progesterone can stimulate more estrogen, we're suffering. Absolutely, you can. So we do need to pay attention to this. So if you're going to go on HRT, I still recommend looking at M-A, and then we're getting to R, right? So I typically see that hormones start to come back online. It doesn't mean that they're perfect yet, but they start to come back online. So if you were missing a period, right? We're probably in a really good spot, that, okay, cycle start to even out, doesn't mean that they're perfect, but we start to see those things happen. For guys a little bit different, I just feel like guys are so much easier. Guys are pretty easy to work with. My thoughts have changed to Tabit recently on that, being now that I'm, I thought that I was stressed, but like now that there's true scaling going on, I have a real team. I don't even get to talk much anymore. I know, I was getting to talk much through. I don't get to talk much to Keith, but like I'm like it's, yeah, my blood works bad. Bad for me. My A1C was a 4.9. - Okay. - Fired up about that. - It's your D-O-T-A. - Two. - Okay, that's not the problem. - No, it was the two, 30s. It was good. My progesterone was a one, I saw it was happy about that. - Okay. - Yeah, my, you know, I had kidney failure. Back in 2019, 2018, sorry. Two weeks before a bodybuilding show. Yeah, my kidneys are still rough, but we just dropped nephroflow, and I had been taking it one day before I got lab said. So I'm excited for that. My liver's good. My amatic heart was quite high. - Yeah. - 57. - Do you have gut issues? - Yeah, I have gut issues. We're gonna talk about that today. Offline. Now we get a cycle signal after we build resilience. - Yeah. - Go ahead. - So cycle signal, for me, this is when we're really honing in on for females, actually making the period how it's supposed to be, regular, not super painful. For any female watching this, I don't think the period should not be miserable. Right, like we should not be cowering over. - If you have PMS, you must reach out to us and allow us to fix it, because there's nothing on this planet, PMS hates more than to see us coming. - PMS, and I'm not gonna lie to you guys, you guys, I'm talking to you, but you guys. PMDD, too. Coming off, we talked in February. I think one of our, when I was one on one underneath you, and I was like, I just pulled birth control. And you literally said, "Linsey, you are gonna go through PMS, PMDD, acne, heavy bleeds." Like, you're gonna step through it, and it's true. I'm 31 years old and re-going through puberty for the first time, 'cause my brain is making that connection for literally the first time since I was 14 years old. And, but there were some really scary times that I had, you know, a day of PMDD, and I'm talking to my husband, David, and I'm like, I'm depressed, and I don't know why. What, like, what is actually going on? That is not normal. That is, it's scary, it's not normal. This is the time. This is R is when I'm considering a Dutch test, if I need one. Right, so a lot of people wanna get Dutch tests off the bat. This is when I'm considering it. I'm looking at cortisol, metabolized cortisol, seeing if I need to adjust anything there. You can see Androgens very well. You can see progesterone versus estrogen, because there's one thing to see your hormone levels. The Dutch test does a really good job at seeing how you detoxify hormones, right? And we can look at methylation status there. And if you're overmethylating, undermethylating, 'cause those things alone can cause the anxiety and the depression, right? And what pathways you're going on going down. So that's mainly for me what R is for guys optimizing hormones as well. Again, I think it's a little bit easier for guys. I don't have as much to say about it, 'cause for some reason they all kind of fall into place. - Yeah, pretty easy. - Guys' body's fall back into place very easily. - Yeah. And then, we're hopefully getting to a spot that we are understanding the body and how much support you need even around your cycle. So I have some clients who they need more liver support, just like progesterone support, ovulation period. Well, they need more liver support, ovulation periods. - I also don't wanna ever bring in progesterone without liver support. - Yeah. - I have made this clear many times. I'm not bringing in progesterone without imminent bile boost. I just think that things get bad. - Well, yeah, because-- - They can't get bad. - Yeah, so a lot of people in my comments have said, "Oh, well, I've added progesterone and it worked for a minute and then it got way worse, right?" - Liver. - Progesterone. It's the liver, right? Because progesterone can stimulate estrogen. Estrogen still has to be detoxed through the liver. Now, if estrogen is getting backed up via glucauronidation, that's likely a gut problem, right? It's recirculating into the gut. So then we have, like, so point and blink, we gotta go back to A, right? Absorption and detox, liver and gut. What is going on that that beta glucauronidation is backed up? And so, obviously calcium to glucarate is a good measure for that one. And I'm an bile boost. And you have dandolin root. - Yup, dandolin root. - And other type. - We have some ox bile in there as well. - Ox bile. - Ox bile. - We've got, it's slipping my mind. I should have brought it with me. I should have these sitting. - Yeah, well, you know, and then you have the tie with the gallbladder and estrogen too, right? We need, you know, we need enough bile, - Yep. - Which ties to the thyroid, which also ties to stomach acid, right, upstream. So it's like, when we say this is all connected, it's all connected. Like we do. - So then, after we're back online with our cycle and our signal, women, we focus on cycle for men, the signal is the testosterone or the hormonal health. Now we get into the fun part. - The best part. - Health span or hypertrophy. Dependent of what that person's goal is. So at this point, we have a stable body. It's not in chaos anymore. Every day is predictable. We don't have these mood swings. We're not having sleep issues. We're waking up very rejuvenated after maybe seven hours of sleep, even which is spectacular. We have metabolic flexibility. We can go out to dinner. We can even have a glass of wine or an alcoholic beverage. We have no issues the next morning. We're pooping every single day as somebody should be. We're mentally feeling better than ever. And now we get to have a beautiful healthy canvas for health span and hypertrophy. - Health span and hypertrophy. I mean, I think that's what you want to make it, right? A lot of people come to us and they're like, oh, well, I want to step on stage, but I have all these issues. And then I say, okay, well, we're going to fix these issues and then once you get to this point, guess what? I will throw you to Riley and you get to prep, right? And so I think, you know, for me, I want to look like a bodybuilder, but I don't want to step on stage. I don't have time for that. But I appreciate the sport. I will say that. And so my big goal here, though, for most people, is helping you understand the trends in your own blood work, helping you understand the trends in your genetics, your nutrigenomics, right? So what my long-term clients basically, we make them a lever sheet, right? What lever do I pull for my body if X happens? Right? So then they get to a point and that's exactly kind of what, you know, one of our clients said to us yesterday, I got to X, Y, and Z points, I did this and I'm already feeling 10 times better. And that's the goal because I really believe you have to take autonomy for your own health in today's world. And that's not us, is our health care system good? I think our sick care system is great, right? If you're in an emergency, we have some of the best doctors in the world. But as far as preventative health goes, as far as maintaining your longevity and your health span, you have to take autonomy for that. Because unfortunately, I don't think doctors even have the time to do it. There are a few that focus on longevity and I think. They are great, they're phenomenal. You know, every time a doctor follows me, I try to actually reach out and, you know, if they're in a different state, I'm like, hey, can I use you for, you know, if partner with you? - Yeah, we have a lot of doctors inside of ECA. - Yeah. - And those people, like I appreciate that kind of thing. You know how dope those people are nurse practitioners as well, they make up. - Nurse practitioners, we have pharmacists too. - Got me, pharmacists too. - I'm like, how do I create my assistant at this point, you know?
Because on the flip side, unfortunately, I do have other doctors who disagree with me And I offer an olive branch and say, hey, can I send you these papers? I invite them on the podcast and they block me. Yeah, they do. You know, I send them an email with papers and then they block me Actually, the last guy I invited all the podcasts it turns out This is weird. Can I share this on the show? I'm gonna share this on the show And then we've got a we've got to wrap this up to get some more value I've had about the podcast he greets come on. I'm like this amazing because he's like running his mouth on one of my Progesterone posts so then I sent him into the creative team chat. I might get let's get him scheduled Kevin comes back to me and says all of his content about Progesterone is agreeing with what you say and I go wait Well, so I go to his page and look at his page. I'm like wait Everything you're saying is the exact same stuff. I'm saying about we agree on this and so I hit him Yeah, I hit him in the DM's like what are you arguing with me about exactly? Like like I said in these posts. I mean, you're you're saying the exact same stuff. I'm saying they we agree And he goes he starts apologizing to me and ends up admitting that he had a gay trigger and My masculinity triggered his Gainus So did he want to come with a podcast try to like if I'm not giving gay like so He thought you were gay no he's gay my masculinity triggers his gayness and I think that means he likes me And that was supposed bizarre interaction I shared it with Kevin and Nova. I believe I shared the interaction with Kevin and Nova. I know I shared it with Thomas You know see most bizarre interaction I've ever had so wait. Are you trying to get with me because man? I I don't think I'm giving gay Hope not I don't I don't think you are not at all not with your a-two milking yeah, that was my a-two milking high-test sauce room So that was strange but That's our march method That's what the process that we take you on with your an EC student about I also want to give one thing just because we are using you know, Alito asked I think the Huge thing with your autonomy is learning how to use your biofeedback. That is what right I want you to be able to understand okay my temp is falling after meal two. So maybe I'm gonna Carb Excuse me time my carbs at You know meal one right? Yeah Maybe you know what what are my habits in the morning right my slamming coffee and empty stomach and running to whatever Do I need to slow that down because I'm literally running on adrenaline? Same thing with blood sugar. We didn't talk about blood sugar blood sugar and metabolic flexibility I would put that in typically R&C kind of resilience and and cycle you're gonna see the changes there Because you can see high blood sugar is when you are doing gut work. So Kind of have to move that over yeah, yeah learning understanding that data understanding You know, what's affecting your HRV? What's affecting temp? What's affecting blood glucose because it doesn't just mean you know Your food right you can have high blood glucose from cortisol That happens to me all the time. Yeah, like I can wake up and be like okay, I have to do xada da da da da No, you need to go sit in the sun for five minutes not look at your phone and and Get to your day after that and I I am a little bit excited. I've been in Dallas and I've been in Texas all week and it's been like a little bit chill. I love Texas, but you know, David and I were having conversation earlier this week and there's Take our building right now in Miami 85 floors Probably like 12 units of floor Think about how much emf and 5g you have stacked on top of you Like there is always a buzz you were literally charged Lizzie since moving away from downtown into my home. I don't have tonight is anywhere That's crazy I really do think you know and we were laughing because we were looking at houses and They were like oh, well, you know, you might hear a plane fly over and every house we showed up We were like it's so quiet a plane like do you know like the The little Lamborghini rentals that go down our street. I know I got two o'clock in the morning because people are trying to race My nervous system took about a month to adapt to how quiet. Yeah, it is so I'd sleep problems. I think I'm going to And so I actually cut out my cell machine even at night Just to make myself a doubt faster. Yeah The salvagee's back in I am sleeping better than ever, but it's so unbelievably quiet. Yeah That that is going to be a gigantic quality of life improvement in itself. I think Everyone from this podcast. Let's see how successful I get because I feel like I'll be a little bit calm down and more focused Let's go. Let's go. I said this to ECA the other day. I feel like You know some of my work sometimes I'm so overstimulated That it can take double the amount of time like I truly think I could have like a five or six hour workday. Yeah, but sometimes it's just like I'm like There's too much going on. Yeah, it's almost like I know it like an 80d type thing, but I don't I move four minutes from the high rise that I lived in and I'm four minutes away And to my work productivity is crazy and Yeah, I think any of that yeah Lizzie, thank you so much. Great value as always make sure to subscribe to the show if you're not already make sure to like this podcast So I can bring more amazing guests on and If you want to join ECA if you want us to fix your one-to-one health issue Shoot me a DM over on Instagram. Just shoot me ECA and I'm gonna get you handled till next time guys peace
Podcast Summary
Key Points:
The March Method is a systematic health approach focusing on mitochondrial health (M), absorption/detox (A), resilience (R), and hormonal balance (H) to address root causes of dysfunction.
Proper sequencing is critical
The Elite OS app integrates coaching, data tracking, and education to streamline client management, moving beyond fragmented tools like spreadsheets or single-focus platforms.
Health is viewed holistically; tools like diets or supplements are context-dependent, and individual factors like genetics and lifestyle dictate personalized strategies.
Summary:
FAQs
The March Method is a unique process taught by ECA that focuses on starting at the root cause of health issues, specifically ATP generation and mitochondrial health, to achieve results for individuals or clients through a structured, phased approach.
The March Method includes M (Mitochondria Health Phase for energy and stability), A (Absorption and Detox Phase for liver and gut health), R (Resilience Phase for immune system and gut repopulation), C, and H phases, each building on the previous to address health comprehensively.
Mitochondrial health is crucial because it affects ATP generation, which influences neural health, neurotransmitter ratios, hormone levels, and overall ability to live life; dysfunction here can lead to broader health issues.
The Elite OS app is a comprehensive platform that blends education, exercise programming, nutrition guidance, and data tracking into one tool, unlike other apps that focus only on workouts or functional EMRs, making it easier for coaches and clients to manage health holistically.
In the A phase, it focuses on liver and gut health by ensuring nutrient absorption, regular detoxification through sweating and bowel movements, and addressing issues like low stomach acid or gut dysbiosis with personalized protocols, often using tools like GI maps.
Food diversity is key in the Resilience Phase as it helps repopulate gut bacteria, rebuild the mucus lining, and reduce immune reactivity, preventing food sensitivities and promoting metabolic flexibility for long-term health.
