The podcast features a casual, reflective conversation between two hosts navigating personal and professional life. They begin by humorously acknowledging their age gap and share plans for a new vlog series that documents their hectic workweek—spanning from Cannes to LA to Utah—highlighting real-life experiences and daily routines. The discussion turns to broader cultural and ethical issues, such as the art director’s criticism of low compensation in a blockbuster film, which the hosts find unjust and potentially damaging to creative morale. They also explore the credibility of alien conspiracy theories, particularly the unverified Miami mall incident, expressing skepticism about the lack of evidence and official confirmation. The hosts emphasize the importance of transparency and fairness in entertainment industries, questioning how success should be shared. Amid this, they touch on topics like parenting in LA, where children are shown to deeply love the city, and the growing influence of influencers in politics. The episode ends with excitement about upcoming events, including a pickleball tournament and a Bon Jovi concert, reinforcing the hosts’ dynamic blend of humor, insight, and genuine human experience.
What's up guys, we're back to views. If you hear a little more happiness in my voice, it's because Natalie's not here for this episode. It's amazing. So I'll get the ire. Yeah, what's that mean? I'll get your wrath. What's that mean? I'm just kidding. You know what's sick about me and you doing a podcast together? Our age difference? Yeah, that's the main, that's actually the main selling point. Yeah, but it's not becoming too much of an age difference now. Yeah, I know. Isn't that funny how life works, because I saw you today. I came in, you had tea. That was not me, that was Taylor's tale, but you've, you've, you've been having tea. I haven't having tea. Yeah. I still do think though that there is an age difference. I'm just kind of being funny by saying that. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. But it gets less and less. I want to make it clear. I do feel a lot younger than you. You do? Yeah. Really? You don't look it. I still have a 20 in front of my name. You look, and you know what they say, you look 39, 30s the new 20s. Yeah. So I was trying to think of like themes for my birthday this year. Yeah. We're doing South of France theme, which is like, like she's been four times this year. Yeah, look ahead. And remember how I said we were going to cancel the trip last pod? Yeah. We're not. I was just on the call. I got the download. Really? You're not canceling the trip. Yeah. Yeah. You're going to go. I'm going to make it. Tell me if this vlog is interesting to you. Okay. It'll just be me and Natalie. Yeah. I'm not going to film it, but we're bringing the film. Yeah. And it'll be a vlog of my work week. That's fun. Okay. So it won't be like funny. Yeah. But it'll be like come with me. Yeah. To work. I think people really like that. And it'll show a week. Because we have a really busy week. Yeah, it's not. It's like a, it's pretty dazzling work week. You're in Cannes meeting with people. No, we have to fly back from Cannes early. Okay. Because we have to, we have, we have a meeting here in LA and we have a premiere. On Wednesday. So we go to Cannes for two days. Two days? Yeah. It's a really quick turnaround. Oh my god. Then we come back for this premiere that we have to go to. What, Louis? Jackass. Okay. And then we, then we have a, a dinner here in LA. Okay. That's very important. Okay. That same day. Yeah. And then the next morning we have to fly to Utah for a meeting. Wavres? Yeah. Dobriks. Dobriks? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe people don't know how I make money. I think people would love that. That's a huge thing on YouTube too, is like people, I follow people like that, like how to make money, how they, you know, have a personal brand. I think that's really interesting. Really? Yeah. It's a great idea for me. Yeah. Maybe I can, like, maybe I can talk about like how much money I'm making on the trip and everything too. That's very good. People will be surprised. You can be able to, you can be able to film some of these people, these brand people. Um, I don't know. That's what I love about Cannes. A lot of the meetings are held at a nightclub. Yeah. You can get them drunk, um, maybe, and then get a phone call later. David, please don't post that. It's backwards. They get you drunk. Oh, okay. Because it really is like a field trip for those people, like the executives in these positions because they just, yeah, like I let loose like quite a lot, but I feel like a lot of, especially in the environment of other co-workers, I feel like they never do. I'm sure they go out every weekend, like regular people sometimes. But, um, yeah, no, this is like really when they let loose. Hey, how is Zach Beas the other night? Zach Beas 30, the birthday? Yeah. Do a so excited. You had a good time. Do you want to talk about this? I heard you had a good time. I got on my 4am. Or wait, no. Like three. Yeah. Um, how was it? How did you, uh, what? Did you come home that night? No phones. No phones? Yeah. Interesting. Which I liked. Because you know what else there was not enough. The car and the driveway, when I was here to say, um, well, that's, oh, you thought I got laid. Yeah. I, I, I, I came here to the gym really early, except waking up early and I was like, I did all the math. I looked at all the cars and I'm like, there's only, there's only five cars. Yeah. Where's David's six? And why is the best one not here? Oh, no, actually, I'm, you're talking to one of the most responsible drunk people on the planet. And Navine said that. She goes, well, baby. No, wait, wait, wait. Let me do David math. Well, he probably got drunk and just, you know, ubered home and I was like, no, he would call John and John would pick him up. Yeah. But now, now did you have like a little bit of an assist by me saying no phones? No. Yeah. So no phone. So I had no time to like, you up, John, ah, so like, I got out and I'm like, I'm calling an uber. It's a minute away. I'm like, I'm like, I'm gonna go out, call John, 20 minute wait. No phones. No phones. And it was 3 a.m. And I was just like, like John would get in the morning. It's so much easier. Right. But how was it? Yeah. I love leaving my car. People are always so confused because I always drive to every, like every event or party or whatever, where I'm possibly going to drink. I'm always driving. And people, every time I say that, people get like really sad. Yeah. They're like, oh, fuck. I'm like, that doesn't mean anything. Yeah. That just means that I really love the drive. Yeah. And the car is here. Yeah. It could be here for a day. It could be here for a week. I don't know. Yeah. That car is not too nice to leave. I mean, it's fine. It's not like that, actually. Really? Yeah. I don't know. But yeah. Yeah. The no phone thing, again, was really, we talked about this just recently, right? Like there was no phones at a party and I kind of liked it. I had the same feeling in which of this restaurant and no phone. Did no phones? No. I forgot my phone because I was driving my boss's car. Bro, that is an interesting restaurant idea. Yes, it is. No phone restaurant. I felt like this really deep thing like I'd been shackled for 20 years. And I was like, wow, I really felt it. Did you feel it? No. No. No, I was my phone. This time was a little bit different. This time I was like, because I went by myself to the party. I didn't go in Natalie. Is that hard for you? Yes. Well, the problem is all my friends are there, like from LA. Yeah. It's everybody I know. Okay. Like everyone. But the problem is like, I feel like I know everyone there, the same amount. So I don't know. I just don't really know who to latch on to. Yes, that's very difficult at a party. Yeah. And I'll be like, well, shall I latch on to you guys? But I also know you. I don't know. I was like, who do I stay next to when I don't want to say a single thing, and then I found my spot. I was like, I'm just going to say. Who do you choose? My friend Caleb. Oh, nice. Yeah, I just stand next to him. What's the thing about Caleb that you like? Just Caleb? Just easy to be around. Yeah. Caleb's just like, you can just sit there. And he was sitting. I was looking for someone that was sitting. Mm-hmm. It was really funny. I saw Paulina there. I was like, asking her how her day was. And she's like, well, I can't believe you're talking to me. And I'm like, oh my god. I guess, yeah, this is kind of crazy. We don't really have a full conversation, because there's no phones. Right. And it's not that I don't. It's not even that, like, I would be in my phone with Paulina. Yeah. I just, like, there wouldn't be so much pressure to, like, have a conversation with someone. Right. I'd be like, I need to talk to someone, or else I'm twiddling my thumbs. Right. I can't, like, fall back onto a phone. Which talks Paulina about? There was, like, moss, like, on one of the flower plants. Do you get deep with people? Do you say, like, hey, where'd you grow up? Or do you do that? Or do you keep it more about the moss? I don't know. Yeah. I'm just a tough. I try to get, I try to get deep deep. Like at parties? Yeah. Oh, it just depends. So I was talking to, like, a professional partier. Okay. And, um, love it. In one of these, in Monaco, I wanted these parties. Yeah. And I was like, how do you guys keep the energy going? Yeah. And you know what they're doing? Coke. LSD spray. LSD spray. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. Wow. Apparently it's the new thing. Really? Looking for this everywhere. Wow. Yeah. A different party. I was like, anybody here have LSD spray? Yeah. Because apparently, do spray at once, and it just gives you energy. No hallucinations. Nothing. Really? Yeah. And I know when I did LSD, you could drink like a fish. Really? Drink like crazy. That's my problem. Yeah. Because I drink too much and I get so fucking tired. Yeah. I'm like, I'm no fun. I'm just, and I don't care to talk to people. I wish I had energy. Right. I wish I had energy because then I can, I can be a chatterbox, but like, yeah, I'm just really bad. I just try to get out of here out of way to like stay up through the night. I don't know. There's other than drugs. But what I love about LA is that the night ends so early, it's so nice. Three. Yeah. Yeah. It's so fucking, at three, it's like, you're the last one there. But in Monaco, it's the sun resurising. Yeah. I'm not even referring to Monaco. I'm referring to like Miami. Sure. Like Miami, it's like, you don't go out till 132. LL. Yeah. It's so bad. Because everyone's the next day. So at the party, there's no phones. And then someone's DJing, but the music's really louder. Was it intimate? It's a, it was at Delilah. It was at Delilah. You could like hear each other. Okay. It was intimate and yeah, it was completely fine. The only problem is it's like, actually, there's no problem. I don't know. Why did he lock up the phones, you think? I think it's just like 2026. Just a vibe. Yeah. I mean, I don't know. It's all be here now. You know how I've been leaning towards that too for my part. I would totally do that if I fucking didn't have, you know, four big sponsors that needed to be recorded. Keep getting this call from the spam. I'm just going to fucking pick up. I get this call every morning. Hello. I'm calling from the business credit team with an update. Is this reviewed your business borrowing profile? I give this every day. Do you get stupid shit like that? Or is it just me? No, mine are looking for money, usually. They have like a right to call me. Hey, did you see this? Male college students.
spend more on bag than they do on food. It's reporting, it's like a TikTok trend that kids are making TikToks. They got much they spent on cocaine for the week and how much they spent on food. - Oh, how much is that? - And the cocaine is way higher. - Is that actually true? - Yeah. - Wow. - How much is a bag? - A bag? - I actually don't know. - 200 bucks. - I assume it's like $150 to $300. - Yeah. - Yeah, that's crazy. - Yeah. - One more money on bags that I'm food. And how many bags is a college could get in? - Maybe two. Not sure. That's crazy. He didn't go to college. - No. - What do you think? - I'm glad I didn't. - Yeah. My kids are doing it now and I don't know what they're doing. - I've never, there's never been an experience that like I'm like bummed I missed out on. - Why it told me an interesting thing. He was like, he said some of his friends are in New York art and college and he said being in college allows him like a sort of a shorthand with everybody else. So like when you meet people from NYU, they're like, oh, who are you? And then he's like, oh, but I go to, you know. And that, but if he wasn't in college, it's tougher to like meet people socially. - Oh, right. 'Cause it's like, what are you doing? - Yeah. - Are you just like a nomad? - Yeah. Whereas he has another friend who's like, just straight like directing films and he's like, kids 20 years old and he's just out there hustling. So he doesn't have that thing assigned to him. - Yeah. - Yeah, like who are you? Which I thought was pretty interesting. Oh, I thought that was like the best part though about being like a viner here in LA. - Yeah. - Some people be like, what are you doing? I would just be like, yeah, I don't really work quite yet. - Right. - I always find that kind of fun. - But you're not meeting college kids, you're meeting like people in the real world. - No, I was meeting college 'cause it was fucking, when I moved out here it was 19 years old, what do you mean? - So you didn't feel that when you moved out here? - No, absolutely not. - Oh. - I actually love, 'cause you're online. - I love the fact that I didn't go to college. Like I've never had any, I knew whatever my job was gonna be since I was fucking 12, 11, that college was not gonna be a requirement. - All right. - 'Cause it just didn't make any sense. It was like, obviously, I'm not gonna be a doctor from so not into that. And I don't need to do anything. - Well, your parents happy you didn't go to school. - No, they've never said that. I'm actually gonna surprise. I always bring that up as like an argument. - Hey, your mom's been texting me about the cartoon. We're gonna get her in there. - Oh, really? - Yeah, we got a nice part for her. - Oh, she listened to the podcast? - I don't know if she listened to the podcast. - 'Cause you brought it up the other day. You were like, we need-- I might have mentioned it to her at the party. - Yeah, yeah. - She's gonna play a monkey in the first one. - Really? - Yeah. - Oh, fuck yeah. Like a slow-bock or Russian monkey? - We're gonna do a slow-bock episode, I think. - Hey, did you see this thing? The art director from Obsession is kind of saying, like, hey, I didn't make any money on Obsession. - I saw that. - What do you think about that? - I think it's really fucked up. - By who? - By her or him? - Her, it's her. - To it, yeah. - I think that's, so she basically went out and she's like, hey, I only made $6,000 during this movie. - Yeah, and we worked three different hats on the project. Did a lot of other jobs. - Yeah, but the movie ended up making, what, the movie at $750,000 budget or whatever? - Yeah. - And it's now looking to make over $300 million. - Yeah. - Um, and yeah, I just don't agree with that. - I, I think that's a big red flag in a human being. - Right. - Like to bring a project down like that. Like you should be happy that you were on that project. - Right. - And like, and like, what if the movie failed? Would they be like, hi, we're gonna need your payback. Because we all lost, all our investors lost money on the movie. - Yeah. - Like that's like not how it works. - That is the way the world works. But there is, there-- - Are you taking the other side? - I'm not taking the other side, but let's just say this. - Maybe. - I think, can I just say something? - Sure. - I think it's fucked up that you called it out. - Yeah. - Is there a world in which like, it'd be very cool of everyone putting it together that everyone has a percentage in the movie? That's yes, that's a whole nother argument. But I think to call it out, to bring such negative attention to something that is like, should be such a positive. Like, hey, movies are back. - Right. - We made this movie for so little, so many people are enjoying it. I think to like, yuck on that is shitty. - Yeah. - Do I see the other side of like, could everyone benefit from this in some capacity? Yes, but I also know that's not how movies work, so it's like, so no. - But maybe. - I don't blame anyone. - Maybe there's a world where, 'cause obviously like, the director's not getting that money. I don't think, maybe he has it back in. But maybe there's a world where the studio goes, you know what? Here you go. Here's, you know, $10,000 for you. - Time out, why do you think the director's not getting the money? - I can't imagine he has like, a huge-- - It's his movie, so he's obviously got like-- - It's a first time director. I don't think that he's pulling in-- - You don't think he has a $100,000,000, no. - You don't think he has at least 5, 10% of the movie? - Maybe. - Yeah, for sure it does. - Maybe. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. Could even have-- - Okay, so we know he could have 100% of the movie. - That's not important though. Do you want the director to pay him? I'm saying like, the studio, maybe there's a world where it's like, Chappelle made a stink a couple of years ago, like, I want my show back. I want the Chappelle show back, I want to own it. And Comedy Central was unbelievably, it was like, okay, here, you can have it. - Okay. - And so what I'm saying is for larger change to be bade and stuff like that, if she doesn't go out and say that, then now, she's risking getting hired next time. For sure, red flag, for sure. I'm not necessarily, yeah, wouldn't-- - I think, I think, yes, I think that move is going to cost her a lot of future jobs. - Maybe. - Yeah. - I'm sorry, I actually don't know what you're saying. - I'm saying like, maybe there is a world where the studio goes, you know what? We made so much money on this. Let's trickle down some more money to the people that worked on the film. - For sure. - Yeah. - And that should be great PR for the company. - I think that should happen. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, if I had a film that did that, 100%. - Now that doesn't happen unless she makes a stink. - Hold on, stop. No. - Yes. - No, no. - Yes. - Her making a stink should also not be happening. - But it won't happen unless someone makes a stink is my point. - I don't know. I think what you just said should happen on its own. - Yeah. - And there shouldn't be, there shouldn't be a public stink made about this film. - Interesting. - I think, I think, yes, it'd be really nice for the studio or whoever is controlling the budget to be like, we've made so much. Let's reward the people that have worked on this movie. 100% if I was doing this, that is what I would do. But I've been doing this long enough where I know that's what you have to do. Like, I know there's no way around that. Like, you have to do that. And I would make sure that happens way before anyone had a moment to put up a stink about it. But I don't think she should still put, I don't think that she should put up a stink. I think both of those are true. - What do you mean you make sure it happened? You put it in place that someone has a piece of the movie? - No, because I wouldn't, no, because I don't think I would expect a $250 million for having you to come from a $700,000 movie. But like, yeah, if it made more money than double or three times my investment, like if it was a thousand X or 250 X or whatever, yes, then I'd be like, yeah, we need to give back to the people. Dude, no way, no way, dude. Look at what just came up on my feet. So Jason and I just went silent after recording what we just recorded. And I just got this. This is so funny. It's a spotlight. It's like an official report. It says, obsession creative team will get a cut of massive movies project. (laughs) That's so funny. - Well, see, she doesn't make that TikTok. I don't know if that happens. - Yes, but I think, I know your point. - But I think it's not, it's not the right. - Yeah, I don't think it's fair to assume that the movie team wasn't gonna do that. - Yeah. - I think there's a comp, there's gonna be a, like I just, I believe in humans. - Yeah. - And like, I think it's just so shitty to be so negative about it. - Sure. - So early in the game. Like there's a lot going on when the movie's making $250 million. Someone's getting a lot of phone calls. According to reports, financier capstone is expected to make between 45 million and $50 million from the film's success. - Wow. - That's crazy. - What's the name of the company? - Uh, I think Capstone. The good news, those profits are reportedly set to be shared with the creative team, including writer, director, Curry Barker. This breakout horror hit has become one of the biggest box office stories of the year. - But is the art director getting paid? - I'm sure. - You think? - I'm sure. - Hey, did you see this thing in the scene here? - Right. - 1974, a man experienced a glission reality. He discovered the matrix 22 years before it existed. - Oh, he's gone now. - Yeah. FBI and CIA seized his research, but 46 years later Elon Musk and quantum physics prove him right, the declassified files will terrify you. And basically the sky, like, basically said that, like we're living in the matrix and then he was like, he was abducted by like the CIA. - Isn't that crazy? - Can I tell you what's crazy? - What? - It's like, are there aliens on the surface or no? I'm not trying to lead you to this direction, but, you know, I was just in Monaco, right? - Yeah. - And no one brought up aliens. (laughing) And if anybody would know, there'd be a lot of those people on those boats. - Why would they know on the boats? 'Cause they're the one percent? - 'Cause they just like, oh yeah, they own like these big, like who are the aliens interacting with? - Yeah. - I guess there was no government officials. So maybe that's where they're going. Even Steven Spielberg was, I was watching an interview of him,
a couple of days ago and he was like, listen, I've made four movies now about aliens. Close encounters, ET, Day of, what is it? World of Worlds, and now Disclosure Day. And he's like, I hate to say this about myself, but I feel like I should be a lot of to meet an alien at this point, or at least see some real evidence of one, some real footage, like personally. - Why? Do you have movies about it? - I think so. - Yeah, you think so? - Come on, dude, he's Steven Spielberg. He's allowed to, he's allowed to, like, - He's allowed to, why does he get to see it? 'Cause he spent so much time. - Because he's like, he's introduced. - I know, a baron, why not? - He's made like incredible movies about extraterrestrials, his whole lifetime. I feel like he's, he should be allowed to meet an alien. Should Barack Obama meet one? For sure, 100%. Should all Filipinos meet one? 'Cause I still think that they are the epitome of the kindness and the human race. Yes, all Filipinos. - All Filipinos get to meet the alien. - All Filipinos, Steven Spielberg and Barack Obama. - What about Natalie? - She gets to meet him? - Fuck, no. Could you imagine if aliens landed in the first person they ran into as Natalie? They would be, they would fly faster than they've ever flown before. Like, I'm talking like 10x the speed of light. Back to wherever they're from, and we'd never see him again. - Get the fuck out of here. - But yeah, what is extraterrestrials like? Where the fuck are they? And what's going on with this new push for aliens? I understand that like, it's like, everyone's like, let's cover up the Epstein files. - Yeah, it's a distraction. - Right, but like, that's, is that it? - I think so. - Okay, so like, why is it like not a better distraction? Like, why don't we like, just bring out the fucking alien already? Bring out the alien. - Because there isn't one to bring out. - You tell me it's all fucking fake. - Yeah. - You're a fucking loser. - I hate how you think. - I'm sorry, Dave. - I was like, aliens then why didn't they go to Monaco? That'd be the first place I'd go about the alien. - Okay, so you agree with me with that? - Yeah. - Yeah. - I'm agreeing with you. - Okay, okay. - You know what? - I'm on my side now. - Monaco, is it out of earthly experience? - It was lit, yeah, yeah, yeah. - It was so lit. - Yeah. - So because if they weren't there, there's something weird going on. - Take a chopper from a boat. - Yeah. - To another party? Are you kidding? - Yeah, they would love that. - No, but be for real with me. - I am. - You don't think there's aliens on this planet? - I don't know, man, every time I see the footage, it looks like a video game or a Tari game or something. I'm like, I don't know why they're not at the mall. Why are they not down at the mall? - Well, did you hear what happened? - What? - In Miami? - No. - Wait, what? - I didn't hear. Hold on. - I'm not sure what you're arguing at this point. You've got more information. This way, you have seen aliens. - You didn't hear about the aliens in Miami? - No. - John, do you know the Miami mall alien story? - No. - Are you guys fucking with me? - I didn't hear about it. - So on January 1st, 2024, police responded to large disturbance at the base side marketplace in downtown Miami. According to police and local news reports, dozens of teenagers were fighting, setting off fireworks and causing panic. Multiple arrests were made because some people thought the fire was for gun shots. A very large number of officers were dispatched. Videos of the massive police response started circulating on. So if you watch videos outside of the mall, it is like 100 cop cars outside. In one clip, a blurry figure or shadow appears between police cars. Some people claimed it was an eight to 10 foot tall creature or shadow alien. The theory spread rapidly across TikTok actually YouTube and conspiracy forums. Okay. So people don't know what happened. And now all the mall security camera has been seized by the government. - Okay. - No one knows what happened in the mall that day. - Okay. - Everyone that had footage on their phone, the footage is now gone off their phones of this creature that everyone saw at the base of the mall. This is like a real thing and no one knows what it is. And people are disappearing that have been at that mall that have anything to say about it. - What? - Yes. This is like a big thing. Yeah. - Show me a TikTok. Show me like an act. - They're gone, dude. - There must be a TikTok. There must be a TikTok. Even if it's fake of a guy being like, I was out the mall on January 1st, 2024. - Well, there are. - And I saw this creature. Is there anything like that? - I'm sure they are, but I'm saying there's no footage from inside the mall. - I mean, so they accessed everyone's phones, deleted all the footage. - Yeah. - Okay. - They saw the mall incident. I mean, it's very famous here. This is all the copyrights you see in this. - According to 10 or more witnesses, they described seeing 9 or 10 foot creatures roaming through the mall. They were described as almost like humanoid but kind of distorted looking like they were glitching. A few of the witnesses said that they came out of one of the stores and other said it looked like some kind of portal. And when people saw that, that's when they panicked and started running and booking it through the mall. And some of the witnesses said that police officers were even shooting at them. Witnesses said there was black helicopter circling the mall and that air traffic in that area was locked down. And there was also reports that people using police scanners to listen in that those lines went down as well. Now, it hasn't been confirmed that the police scanner lines went down, but if anyone did experience that, that was there, definitely let me know. And it's not been confirmed. So. - The air traffic was. - So, yeah. All those people. - So they just popped out of an all-do. - This is, this is all. - This isn't creatures. - These are all the comments. These are the top comments, like 130,000 likes plus. All those people, no video says it all. How has no one been interviewed? I just don't understand how all of a sudden cameras are blurry. Like they're from back in the 80s, like what? Yet no one filmed it, right. Do you understand this? - Yeah. - These are skeptics. - Yeah, it just doesn't make sense. It doesn't make sense how there's not a video from inside that mall. - Yeah, it just didn't happen. - Okay, whatever. If you want to believe that, the part that confuses me is like if aliens walk through a portal, - Yeah. - Why are they being shot at? They must have started like eating somebody right away or something must have like freak you, or something must have happened. But I don't know. - What do you think, John? - I mean, I wish aliens were real, but there's this not proof. - Because you're still kidding me. - You'd be the first one to meet them. - I just talked about this. - I wish, imagine, it's just me. (laughing) You find out I'm actually an alien. - What if John comes into your bedroom in the morning? - And he goes, stop talking about that on the podcast. (laughing) And then he lifts up his skin a little bit. And it's all green. - Now he goes, he goes, dude, I was working out. I went outside and I saw a spaceship. And then they came down and they touched me and they told me, did not say anything. Don't tell Ilya, don't tell Alex. Would you believe him? - I'd be really funny if that a sense of humor like that. - Yeah. Would you believe him if he did that? - There's no way. And I have no proof, no phone. - Yeah. - No nothing, you just have to believe me. - Would you think it happened? - No way. - I wouldn't think he'd be lying. But I'd be like, he doesn't know what he saw. - You also know, okay, that's a huge skeptic. I'm like a huge skeptic. - Yeah, so you would say, like John, you're hallucinating. You're not lying, but you're hallucinating. - Yeah, 100%. - 100%. - I'd be like, well the fuck does you not shout for me or call for me or anything? - That's how I feel about the Miami thing. It's like, why is that not covered? Like, why is that, it just didn't happen, man. It's just there's no way. There's no way ten creatures. - Maybe you're right. - You know, walked out of a lululemon. - Jay, how do you feel about the New York Knicks right now? That's like a former East Coast guy. - Well, I'm not a Knicks fan, but I'm happy for them, you know? - Oh my god, I don't care about sports. - Yeah. - As much as the New York Knicks fans do, but I'm such a fan of the New York Knicks fans. - Yeah, I know. - Want to, I'm thinking about flying out this week to New York. - You should fly out this Saturday. - Just to kind of film everything. - Oh yeah, I think it's gonna be crazy, bro. - Is it gonna go to the game? - No, I don't wanna go to the game. I just wanna be outside with the fans. Like I wanna go like, I wanna go out and see, like, 'cause I think a lot of people in New York are watching it like on the side of buildings, on projectors and stuff like that. Like New York's really New Yorking right now. - Yeah. - It's really good. - It's like a lot. - Yeah, sorry. - They needed it. They've had Knicks fans are so passionate in there. - Yeah, they haven't won on like, what, 54 years. - Yeah. - And yesterday, did you see? Yesterday, they're, they're come back. - Yeah. - They're on 29 points, Jay. - Yeah. - And they won in the last second. - I know. - Are you fucking kidding me? - It's pretty cool. - It's, they're destined to win, right? Like, you don't have a run like this in lose. (laughing) Like this, no, there's, no way. - The Spurs are gonna come back, unfortunately. There's no, don't, three to one. - They have momentum. - Yeah. - They've insane, and they have arguably the greatest city in the nation behind them right now, which is New York City. - I don't know. So. - You should go. I do wanna go. - How could you go and then go to France? - That's the only reason I don't wanna go. I was like, I have so much to do with that. - But, I mean, do it, just imagine the city. Like, there's gonna be riots, like, straight up riots. - Yeah. - The city's gonna burn. - I don't, I don't know about that. I think, I think, I think a little bit higher of New York than that. - I don't think, I don't think there's gonna be riots. - I don't think there'll be riots. - I think it's gonna be. - Do you know why, John? - Why? - New York's like, New York has to exist like that all the time with everybody on top of each other. I don't think the Nick's winning is gonna. - I don't think you can win. - People have like, people have like a certain level of, how do I say it, Dave? - Love, admiration, respect. - Yeah, they have like a, they have a code that they live by. In order to exist. - In order to exist. - Tuesday, we're gonna talk about it. - Okay, yeah, I'm gonna put some money on it. I'll bet you a hundred bucks, there's no like riots that are like really bad. - Let's consider a riot. - A riot like 70 dies. - The reason John brings us up is because, because like the number one meme online is like, New York after the next win, and it's a video of a new kidding. - Yeah. - New York. - Oh yeah. - Like the whole city's, everyone is saying we'll be brought to ashes after they win. - Right, I don't think so. - I don't think so either. - Maybe some jumping on cars. - Yeah. - A little bit. - I mean, this is a terrible way of betting. I'm almost gonna say for once. - No, you can't bet on people's deaths. - Yeah. - Yeah.
(laughs) - No, please don't bet on this. - But if the police comes out, obviously they're coming out. - The police will come out. - Obviously they're gonna be out there. Are you nuts? - No, in right gear, right. - But the police are also New Yorkers. - So they're, they're also gonna be right. - Have you seen, who's the mayor there, Mandami? - Yeah. - Have you seen him talk about like, how do you feel about, like a reporter asked, like how do you feel about like, how New Yorkers are gonna act? - Yeah. - When the Nick's win, the championship, and he's kinda like, I mean, it's been over 50 years, so he's kinda like, he's just gotta, just, yeah, we're just gonna have to do it. He's really interested. He comes up on my feet a lot, and all the comments are always like, he's, that's my mayor, and then in the parentheses, it'll be like, I live in a small county in Hungary, by the way. (laughs) Like, it's like, yeah, but like, there's a lot of people, like he's, he's very good at being the people's, the person's people. - Yeah. - People's person. - Yeah, the murder radius. - He's for the people, the lowest ever there, no. - I don't know about politics. I don't know, no, that just does a, does a fact. - Oh, okay, I don't know what he's doing about, like actually what he's doing in New York, but I just like the optics of how he looks, at least not my feet, he's like, - Right. - Yeah, yeah. - He looks like he could show up at your house, maybe for a party. - Someone was like, are you going back, are you going back to the next game? - Yeah. - And he's like, all I could do is afford one ticket, I'm going to watch party. He's very positive about everything, he's not taking free seats from the Madison Square Garden. - Which, I would, if anybody is in his camp and is listening to this, I think he can go ahead and like pull that off pretty smoothly. He could just be like, I'm the mayor. - Yeah. - There are some perks, I'm going to go watch the game on their dime, like, don't-- - We were mayor for New York Day, would you take it? - Quarantine. - You're going to feel like-- - Would you take it? - By Madison Square Garden. - I'd say I'd take it. - Yeah, take it, okay. - Yeah, but I think this, I really like that he's for the people. - Yeah. - Something nice about him not taking it. - Something nice about it, but I also think it's like, it shows that you're a real next fan if you take it. Are you fucking nuts? - Yeah. - I'm mayor, this is my one perk, I get to go watch our team play. - You're speaking of objects. - Anybody from his team is listening to this. Let that go to the game. - Yeah, I think optics wise too, is probably pretty good for him to be there. - To be at the game. - Yeah. - Well, he went and he sat like in the nose pleats. - Oh, what? - He went, the one game he went to, he bought tickets. They asked him how much they were. It was for around $1,000. And he set up in like section fucking Z. In fact, yeah. - Well, he is for the people. - No, he's very much for the people. - Wow. - And he takes public transport. - He kind of have to take public transport. - That's really cool. - Do you though in New York? - If you wanna get anywhere. - I mean, he could have a black, Jay, he could have a driver. - Yeah, but you get like a big ass. - A driver can't get anywhere. - Yeah, but you're still getting so much work done in a car that's like vamped for it. Like, you know what, you could have a full desk in your bus and you could be taking calls in there. - Yeah. - And it's like your office. But yeah, I get it. John and I are going back to this out of France. - Oh, we're not. - Why do you not wanna go so bad? - Because I gotta lock in, dude. I gotta lock in and like it's Julie's first time like doing a transformation. So she's like, she understands the weight on her shoulders of like, you have a goal and you have to hit it. - Right. - You know what I mean? It's like, I don't understand what the argument is here. - It's just, I mean, this is her like second week. - Yeah, what does that mean? Like you can't lock in and the South of France? - No, no, no, like she just wants me to be there. - Oh, yeah, we're only gone for three days. - It doesn't matter, it just, it messes up the whole thing, man. - It really doesn't. It's really, it just, don't have popcorn that bear. - Also, we've been to South of France. - I mean, I understand that argument. That was just there. - It was just there. - Why do you need John there? Why do you need John there? - Yeah, make the vlog. - Why do you need me there? - We're not even vlogging. - No, he's gone there. - Yeah, I know we're vlogging. - Oh, we are. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - Okay. - I peek though, I peek the South of France. You know, Monaco was peek. - Yeah. - Once in a lifetime. - Can't get me better than that. - You can't, you can't beat it, you can't. Other than the economy, see it in the middle, in the middle middle? - Yeah. - Couldn't even look outside the window. - What's the middle middle? - The middle of the plane, in the middle of the plane. - It's one thing to be in the middle, but like so window. - Middle middle. - Middle middle, like you can't even, you don't even know where we're going. - Damn. - Yeah. - But it was fun because, I mean, it was worth it. Honestly, it was worth it. It was one of the most like, bougieous trip I've ever seen. - Really? - Yeah, Jay. - Yeah, he was told me about it. I did see your scavenger hunt. - You did what? - I did see in your scavenger hunt. - My friend's kid was doing senior scavenger hunt. - Oh, yeah, yeah, what do they look for? - They needed to fight it in fullitzer. - Oh, that's so funny. Like verbally? - I don't know. - Or physically? - Yeah, like they needed it like on video. - Damn, the scavenger hunts in LA are probably so late. It's probably like find a famous person. - Yeah. - Yeah, yeah, damn. And you could like actually kind of check that off. - Yeah, Marney called me before and she was like, she was like, you know he's coming over and I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah. - He's coming to kick you around. - Yeah. - And she said the most LA thing ever. She goes, she goes, well, if it makes you feel any better, Mindy Kaylings doing it too. So you're in good company. - That's really funny. - Who's that? - I was like, yeah, let's get out. - I was like, okay, I'll do it. But then he came over and he was like, he was like, all right, I have to like fight an influencer. And I was like, okay, I was like, so what? Like we'll just like make a sketch or something. And he was like, no, no. He's like, I, he's like, we have to like scrap. And I was like, what? I was like, I'm not gonna fucking hit you. You know? So I did it a couple of times and he was just like, not happy with it at all. - Yeah, you weren't hitting him hard enough. - No. - I mean, I get it. If I was a high school, I'd want to do it properly. - I know, but I also can't hit my friend's son. - If you ask your friend. - I can't. - Jeff's son? - No, no, our other friend. But it was just kind of like, it's stressful. - Do you think, what's the most interesting thing about living in LA as a parent that people don't want to understand? That your kids love LA. - What? - What does that mean? - It means like, they love it here. And it's kind of like, if you want to move or if you like want, if you want them to be different types of people. - That's actually so true. - Yeah. - I've never met like a younger person here that's grown up here. - Yeah. - That's ever said anything negative about this place. - Oh yeah. - People love it here. - Charlie's at Point Dube today. - Oh, that's, that is actually so obvious. - She's so obvious. - That's so opposite of where we're from. - Yeah. - That's like, it is the standard to pitch about. - Me too, where I'm from. - Let's get the fuck out of here. Like, how do we get out of this town? - Wow, that is really interesting about LA. Okay, so all kids love LA. - My kid goes to school in college and his plan is to come right back here. - Oh wow. - Damn. - And if I make it, we're going back home. - Yeah. 100%. Yeah, it's crazy. - Same thing with Charlie, like, the kids here, they, they, they, they fucking love LA. - Okay, what else, what else, what else? Like, what, what's something that people wouldn't understand about being a parent in LA. Or, like, even, like, is there some sort of, like, special code that it's been hard for you to operate by, like, by, like, not fan-girling about people's parents? Or, like? - I guess maybe just, like, the, the, the opulence around you is tough. - What's up? Oh, like, like, um, just the wealth and-- - Yeah, as Charlie has a friend who's, like, billionaire, famous guy, and, like, you know, it's just, like, hard to-- - Do you think that's tough for a lot of kids? - I think so. - To, yeah? - I think that's really hard. - To be like, my dad is a billionaire. Like, my dad's Spielberg. - Yeah. - And your dad is Jason Nash. - Yes, yeah. - Yeah. - Have your kids ever been like, hey, Jamie Spielberg is getting to, like, she's getting Uber blacks and you're only getting Uber pools. Like, I don't know what's going on. - No, never. - Has there ever been, like, a moment where you've had to tell your kids, like, "Well, listen, like, we're not, we're not, like, Russell Crowe." Like, we're, we're like-- - Yeah, I'll just say, I'll just be, like-- - Daddy's-- - I can't, you can't do postmates anymore, or, like, we can't-- - We can't, we can't-- - You can't eat that anymore. - That's crazy. - Yeah, I'll just be, like, I don't, I don't have it. I can't do it. - I mean, even postmates is, like-- - Yeah. - Postmates is, like, an insane-- - My mom would be, like, here's $2, but working out. - I mean, little Caesars, you get, once a week. And that's, you know what, that already is, like, that's top of the line to be able to afford little Caesars, is all right, but, like, but do you ever get little Caesars here? - No, 'cause I have, like, a pizza place now. - Yeah, but, you mean, you could cheat on your pizza place. - Oh, it's, it's, it's actually kind of hard for me to get pizza, like, yesterday, yesterday we had to go on a Dobrik, it's the taste test. - Yeah. - We're, like, coming out with, finally gluten free. - Yeah. - We're doing-- - Oh, gluten free pizza, I love. - Yeah. - We actually braids storming, 'cause everyone-- - How was it, how was the gluten free? - It's really good. - Yeah. - It's really good. - I like gluten free pizza. - And then we try to have a pizza. - And then we try to have a pizza that I didn't like. - Yeah. - So, yeah, but we're coming out with probably a thin version soon. I wanted to just go New York style. - I like gluten free pizza, I love that. - I'm so like-- - Good move. - Really? - Oh, yeah. - Yeah, but, like, I ate so much yesterday where I didn't eat the rest of the day, and that's, like, it's all part of work. - Wow. - I try not to eat pizza when I'm not doing it, you know? - I have to do a brand deal. - It's like a porn star, like, you know, I fuck. (laughing) I fuck, I fuck for work. (laughing) - See ya, though. - So, like, I don't like to fuck on the side, 'cause it just feels like work to me. - I have to do a brand deal for competing pizza place. I just wanna let you know that. - Ooh. - I'm not gonna say this thing that this place is brought to you. - I'll tell you if it's valid. - Prince Street. - Damn. - Yeah. - You're a fucking dick. (laughing) - No, I don't know. I love Prince Street. You know they were our original partners. - I know they were. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - Wait, you guys were supposed to be partners with Prince Street? - Yeah. - No way. - No way. - Or it's supposed to.
And then we like we worked out we're still really good friends with the owners of print street because they were like so helpful in Helping us figure out like what what type of pizza? We were gonna do You brought print street back to Chicago and I was like and you flew it out you literally brought it from LA Oh, yeah, first time you have print street print street. I think it's the gateway to good pizza. Yeah, it's nice I think it's like the most main stream good pizza. It's a gold standard. Yeah, so I think once you have print street You're like, okay, so this is where I'm at where I'm at with pizza. I don't think pizza is a competitive thing No, I don't think it is either and that's exactly why print street partnered with us. Yeah, and we were up to street I was like, why do you guys want to do this? It's like it's not it's not really like that. We want to see you flourish Yeah, it's not like that like pizza just be gets more pizza a hundred percent. I think a hundred percent I completely agree. It's so hard for me to not order pizza. We were out in a restaurant last night and I wanted pizza so Finally, I actually would tell you like the only place that I'm not offended by you supporting is print street nice and little Caesars nice little Caesars have them called yet, but I mean little I would love to do something with little Caesars. I'd love to do a collab with little Caesars at my pizza place. I think that'd be really sick. That'd be fun I I really want to get like a five dollar pizza on the menu. Yeah, it's just really fucking hard It's really hard to like make that work financially. Yeah, it's just I don't even think little Caesars has five dollar Pizza anymore, right? It's like seven dollars not eight dollars. Yeah, seven dollars eight. Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, it's really it's really Hard to make that pizza. Not even Sam's club has five dollar pizzas. What? No, like their slices are still cheap. No, they're no, they're like 299 damn. Yeah, I was just there at Costco. That's why so they put a little put a flex. I was just there if you wanted to ask No, yeah, I saw this ad the other day I was watching TV and you know how they do like political ads where they take down candidates and stuff. Yeah, well This was a lawsuit for a doctor who had inappropriately touched Women, okay, it was like a gynecologist named Barry Brock and it was the oddest ad And it was like were you touched by Barry Brock? No way Yeah, oh, that's crazy Like it. Oh, I guess it's probably only playing tauay. Yeah, it was It's a doctorate seaters and then and then it's like the woman's like in the store Wow, that's fucking and then she's like in the grocery aisle and all of a sudden she sees Barry Brock like Like a ghost almost it's the most disturbing fucking thing I've ever seen like they like they like Shot it like theatrically. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, and it's like a $700 million lawsuit. I don't know how Paul aside from that I don't know how politicians do it how people are always going out each other. I was I see a lot of politician videos where it's like Hey, can I shake your hand? Yeah, and then the politician will be like yeah, of course And then the guy starts shaking the politicians hand and the guy goes you're fucking demon again Yeah, yeah, that's part of the job. Yeah, that's part of the job. That's I could that's fucking crazy If I was a politician, I'd be like oh, yeah, I'm not going like Trump love him or hate him 50% of people hate him. Yeah, I don't know how we fucking does it I don't know any president could sit anywhere and get booed He got Buddhists the whole stadiums booing. Yes. Yes. I saw that like that's like I don't know. I think that's I that's a level of like something. I don't understand politics is a whole different beast It's a whole different but I also think like when you're a politician you don't you you have like a really good at like Perception not not really good, but you just have like such a different perception of Of human beings. I gotta ask you a political ad a couple weeks ago And they wanted me to they wanted me to go after the other candidate in my ad And ultimately I was like no, I can't do that, but oh really really really interesting. Jerry burger Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I think that's fucking weird. Yeah, I'm surprised there hasn't been an influencer that's become like part Governor or something. You know what I mean? There was one that just trust. Yeah, there's literally one just now and I'll win though These clothes. Yeah, he did good. Yeah, he was pretty good for really less. I mean, I think you're gonna I think you're gonna get influencers. I think you'll you'll get them like five 10 years. Yeah, I mean a hundred percent They've could be running for fucking governor of LA. Oh, well, the first thing you do, Dave. Everyone will have a membership at living room I think When we were when we were registering people to vote. Yeah, we beat this is one of my favorite flexes of my Um of all time. Yeah, we got the most people to we beat Taylor Swift's record Really? Most people to register to vote and like a single campaign. Damn. We registered over 150,000 people to vote Well, it's crazy 18 year olds. Yeah. Yeah, so that was really exciting. Another all being drafted So yeah, now that yeah, now they're off to fight more Because I did that A hundred for two thousand people that use code David fucking don't breathe at the ballots I'm being drafted They're probably like I did not know we had 150,000 eligible draftees, but five of them want a Tesla Maybe going to war, but damn yeah, uh, what else is going around around here? We're back in LA. You're feeling good Yeah, I have a week off. You look good. I have I'm posting a video on Monday Which I'm excited about Croatia Croatia our boat vlog. Good. How was it again? I say this every vlog. It's going to be a little bit of a different kind of vlog Yeah But I really like the vibe. I think it's uh, I think it's got like a fun energy to it Um, and then we have a party here. Yeah We have so many fucking events at the house. I just painted the pickleball Purple rubbing price picks come in and we're doing a price picks pickleball tournament my annual tournament for pickleball Okay, we're doing it with price picks this year. Do you win every year? Um Yes, you do. Yeah, is it one-on-one or double stumbles? Who's your partner? I don't know yet, but it's like um Some of the NELK boys are coming uh, Sean O'Malley's coming Jerusalem's coming So it's gonna be like a big group of like influencers that are coming up great and athletes Kevin Durant And then right when that ends yeah, I go to see Toy Story in theaters. Yeah And then that's that same night and then that morning If I have to can I'm there for two three days and then my long long long two two week work week starts Uh, and then in July, I think I'm gonna have a little bit more free time July. I'm not doing much traveling I'm going to Bon Jovi concert in New York. Oh, yeah with your mom. Yeah, when uh when Bon Jovi promises those tickets So we're gonna do that which I'm really excited about but other than that, it's my only travel I'm doing I may go to the Hamptons but yeah, it's gonna be a busy busy two months John's gonna be traveling a lot So nice travel John. Just careful with the word travel, you know You're gonna be traveling. I mean Jay. I'm not gonna lie. It feels like having the best dessert Every day, but he's full, but I'm so full That's that's actually a really good way to describe it. It's very very full. I am content with The life I've seen so very grateful for my boss But I am full All right guys, it's all the time we have for today's pod. I think you guys for listening.
