Why You're Puffy, Tired and Inflamed - The Lymphatic System Explained with Chelsey Jean

Chelsea Jean, a naturopath and founder of Chelsea Jean Lymphatics, shares her 30-year journey of empowering women through understanding the lymphatic system—the body’s hidden detox and immune support network. She emphasizes that skin, energy, hormones, and brain health are all deeply linked to lymphatic function, which is often ignored in conventional medicine. A key message is that all women should start lymphatic support at the chest and collarbone, where blockages originate, using simple daily practices like dry brushing with gloves for just two minutes. These actions help flush toxins, reduce puffiness, ease inflammation, and improve energy and mood. Chelsea highlights that symptoms like bloating, fatigue, and painful joints are often signs of lymphatic stagnation, not just aging or lifestyle. She advocates for lifestyle shifts—such as drinking filtered water, increasing magnesium and vitamin C, moving daily, and wearing looser clothing—to support lymph flow. Her mission includes reaching five million women through education, accessible tools, and training for therapists. Crucially, she stresses that women must take personal responsibility for their health, rejecting dependency on medical systems. Even those with conditions like lymphedema or cancer can benefit from safe, gentle self-care, starting with breathing, positive affirmations, and light movement. Chelsea’s message is one of empowerment: every woman can take a small, consistent step—like touching her chest daily—to unlock profound health transformations, proving that healing begins with awareness and action.

Awesome. Welcome to your next face conversations. I am your host Stephanie Cannellonga and I am so grateful that you are here. This is your platform for all things skin, wellness and women's health. My real goal is to bring to you enthusiasts, wellness experts, business owners and honestly just great humans. We are going to make some huge impact. So all I want you to do is sit back, listen and share to all of the women in your life and always let me know in the comments who you want to hear from next. Thank you so much for being here. Let's get into it. Now today I'm very excited because I've always believed that skin is never just skin. I believe that we see on the outside what is a reflection of what's happening beneath the surface. One system I find myself talking about with clients constantly and that often gets overlooked is the lymphatic system. Which explains my guest today. She has dedicated more than 30 years of her life changing that conversation. Chelsea Jean is a naturopath sports therapist entrepreneur and the founder of Chelsea Jean lymphatics. Through her education workshops and innovative lymphatic products that you will see today, she's helped thousands of women better understand their bodies and how supporting their lymphatic system can influence everything from inflammation, energy, hormones, breast health and overall wellbeing. What I love most about you Chelsea is the work she makes that can seem complicated but she makes it incredibly practical, empowering women with simply daily rituals that have a profound impact on how they feel. Chelsea thank you so much for joining me today in Cold Melbourne. Let's get into it. Thank you so much Stephanie. I'm super excited to be here. Happy that you said your full last name because I couldn't say it out loud. I'm going to see Stephanie. It's a love one. It is a love one. So what I want to find out is a little bit more about the women behind this incredible mission that you have. Which I've read is a five million women. Is that correct? Yeah, we are on a goal to reach five million women. That's our first goal. I love it. So tell me a little bit. You've spent over 30 years helping women reconnect with their health looking back. What was something that first sparked this for you? When I was 19, I started my own business. I tried to work for other people and that really didn't work. And as I was really big in sports, I was Brisbane hockey captain for a couple of years. I love softball. I loved everything to do with moving my body. And then when it came to having to actually work, I've left home at 15. So I've had three jobs since then. And then it was like, okay, what are you going to do at 19? So I started a figure toning salon. And I had these exercise machines that were like Gloria Marshall and the ladies would move their legs up and down and round and round and massage their bumps. And it just helped those who didn't want to go to a regular gym and he listened to the groans of men and the sweat and the carry on. But they had something going on. They wanted to feel better. They didn't want to give up. And I think that following the lymphatic path is giving people hope because we are not taught by our medical system. We're taught that a pill will save us. We're taught that an operation will save us. But what about this 15 liters of fluid that we've got going on that we can help ourselves with? So I was massaging bodies and I felt a change in people because I talk a lot. And when I was massaging them, I would start at their chest and I would really feel around their heart and I would connect with all of my clients. And I felt something shift after I massaged. And then I looked into it and I found this was the lymphatic system and I'm like, holy Moses. This is amazing. We can move this waste that is stuck. Who knows how long it's been stuck for? What emotional ties that it has to the woman? We can move it with some connection, some talk, some tapping. And yeah, it created change there and then. And then I'm sold. I'm done. That's me. Rest of my life now dedicated to that. That's absolutely incredible. And when you you actually said the word unclog and I've heard you I've heard you say that a few times and when you hear the word unclog, what does that mean to you when we started the chest? Yeah. Yeah. A lot of people when we start dry skin brushing and brushing their body and doing any lymphatic drainage, you ask them they're like, yes, you started to feed and you start pushing this fluid. So they may have may have swollen ankles, swollen knees. We don't know if they have lipidema or lymphedema or they're just collecting a lot of heavy metals and that's collecting around their ankles as well. And they will start trying to push from there like the hardest area to push. But that's not how the lymphatic system works, the drainage system of our body. If we can unclog at our chest first, it's hard to believe, but if you think of a hose and the hose has got kinks in it right at the tap or sorry right at the right at the nozzle. Yeah. If you can unkink that nozzle, then the water's going to flow. 100% and that's what it's about. It's unclogging the mess that the environment causes the food, the fluoride in water that we can't even read the names of labels now. That's on our in our food skin care. Most women leave the house with over 300 chemicals on their skin. It's too much. It's too much. And we are living in a society where everything is marketable, everything is sales, everything is about how can I make the biggest buck. And I know that I am selling a product. I know that I'm selling a product. But I am educating about this massive system in our body that if we took a little bit of attention to it, we could all change our lives. That's a really beautiful and very impactful. And I believe that the products you are selling in the vision and the education that you're giving to women is going to change those more than 5 million women's lives 100%. I want to ask you this one as practitioners and we may go off topic of these questions, but as practitioners, we often have one defining moment that shapes the direction of our career. When you found out this is what I want to do, how did that then lead you to all of these products and the family business? What did you go through in your life that actually got you here? I think I've had a couple. One, I've been a single mum since my son was 5 months old. And so then the goal in life is to show, is to lead. I need him to change the world. So for that to happen, I need to be a great leader and I need to come up with initiatives and I need to be honest and open and be able to be authentic and, you know, change, create change through leadership. So that was the one thing. The second thing was when I had a client turn up, I hadn't heard of Lypa Dima before and she had the big bum, the big legs and she was trying everything. And for her to walk up the stairs at that time, I had gone through my divorce, lost my clinic and moved back into a two story building where I was had a into my grandfather's house. And I started massaging and she walked up the stairs and she was heavy and it hurt. And after I think three months or so, she turned up in a mini skirt. She was proud of her ankles. She was like going on dates and I was like, this is it. If I can create a chain, I'm having a hot flush as I think about it. I know I've got goosebumps everywhere. It makes me so, you know, that was one that dedication to women. Yeah. And then the second one was I was seeing clients still after I started the line of products. And I was charging $500 an hour. Most clients to see me would I would charge them two to $3,000 because they would leave with their compression suit. They would leave doing a hair test. They would leave with their Chelsea gene products and a whole protocol. And you've been doing this for a long time, long before the word lymphatic drainage became the trending thing. I'd like to say that we're a part of that. Yes. Right. We're a part of that. And I'll get back to that. But this I was seeing clients and I give a great consultation. I don't leave anything on the table, but it got to the point where she came in the next week. And I said, oh, hi, how are you? Oh, hi, can I help you? I didn't remember her face because I'd already stepped out of being a clinician stepped out. I've been a one-on-one therapist because I had a boob camp group that was growing at thousands and thousands of people, ladies per month. And that's what excited me. And that's what I thought of this momentum to be able to reach more women is more than the one-on-one that I was I was charging $500 an hour. I was making money then, but the call to reach more women now, not later. I want to bring time forward. I need this to happen now. I need these changes to happen now because I want my grandkids to be able to have other grandkids to play with. Right. So yeah, it's pretty. It's pretty big. And I feel the sense of urgency to change these women's lives. And that's why I'm so grateful that I even got you here in Melbourne and talking across the couch for me because that's, you know, the very, the very same mission that I'm on here to help women. And that's why you are literally the best guest to have here right right now because the way my clients talk about you, how your products have changed their lives is phenomenal. So I want to get back to that. The reason that it's become a trend right now and you you've definitely shaped that because there's not many of. this, you know, this doesn't happen often, especially in Australia. How do you feel that that grew so quick and how is it not a trend? But has it? Because I can still walk into a room and say the word lymphatics and people will go cancer. What? What does that mean? Yeah. Nobody knows that this system is a friend. This system can help you. Like if you work with this system, like it's going to move your hormones, get rid of the fluid, help with your whole immune system. It's moves the fats from around your gut. Like it's your cleaning crew. And we're paying a cleaning crew pittance. Has it taken off? I don't know. Like I spent $2 million on Facebook ads last year to reach women. And yes, we are definitely getting there. But I can still walk into a room and nobody knows the word. So what do you think is the next steps from there? From here now. I train a lot of therapists as well. So it's no good for me to have thousands of women coming to my website every single day. Then buying my products or learning or joining boob camp and then having nowhere to go. I can't live with myself if I don't have the full funnel for women to go to and get some one-on-one support. So we do actually train practitioners as well. So yes, you can start with your gloves. The gloves are just a tool. They are a tool. We need to educate first because nobody knows about the lymphatic system. So education. And then adding in a tool, but then adding in the therapists who are already massage therapists. They do bow and therapy. They do facials. They do all the different types of naturopaths or different types of natural therapies. We are not taught five minutes of lymphatic health as a naturopath. Doctors get what? Two hours? Nothing. They do not learn about the lymphatic system. And one way to sum up for those listening now who don't know anything about the lymphatic system. If you think of a fish tank and you've got your fish and all the animal life in there, you've got the sea grass and all the different reeds all going on in this fish tank all happy. But if that doesn't get filtered out, if the water doesn't get reoxygenated and there's no movement, it's going to get murky, it's going to get a bit puffy. It's not going to be the nicest place for the fish to live and they're going to get sick slowly. It's not going to be an overnight thing when your lymphatic system starts slowing you down. Little whispers. Little whispers that we don't listen to that we put down to all I'm getting old. The medical system will drug the fish. We're all about changing the water. And this comes to my next question because we're going to explain all of the lymphatic system shortly. In clinic, one thing I do see, like I do lymphatic drainage. I've learned Dr. Voters' method, but I'm now about to change my whole mind and we're about to go Chelsea gene method. Hold that here, skin nutrition clients. That's coming. So we are investing in skincare supplement treatments yet we barely understand the lymphatic system. Why do you think it's still such an overlooked part of conversation in dermal therapy, in beauty therapy. And if there was maybe five things, apart from the aquarium, if there was five things that we could really debunk right now about the lymphatic system, what would you want people to understand? Not necessarily just therapists, but just anyone listening that's like, this is very overwhelming for me. I can't necessarily afford a lymphatic massage every month and not, I don't believe once a month is enough personally, but how what are five really important things that you want to put out there? What makes it super hard is that there is not a scan. There is not a medical test or something that you can walk through and get a scan done and get a percentage. Oh, your lymphatic system is this percent not working or it's blocked here or there is what it was back in the 1800s or 1912 or something like that. They tried to test to see how the lymphatic system worked, but they did it with mercury and they injected this poor bloc with mercury and killed him. So then the next person didn't want to put their hand up and be tested. So it is really hard to test. It actually takes time and you have to look at your patient. You have to pay attention. Where is their puffiness in their face? Is it around their eyes? Is it around the only place a doctor will touch you with the glands on your neck? All your glands are up. You've got an infection happening here. You have 300 lymph nodes just in this area. Super important. Why are they here? Well, dementia is the number one killer of women in Australia and they've got so much shit on their brain. These neurotoxins can't get out and it's that's to do with the glimphatic, the lymphatic system of the brain. Before you touch on anything else, let's stay on that one there. The glimphatic system. Yeah, the glimphatic system only discovered what 15 years or so ago and it's great to see all the guashar stuff happening. Okay. I love that. But where are they pushing it to? We have to always start at the chest, unblock all of the toilets in our collarbone area and around our chest. We don't know the exact way that every single person's lymphatic system moves to and this is why you will never see on my website one to two to three to seven to eight to like drain to here to there with a big complicated diagram. Yeah. It's just the chest. Start at the chest, touch your boobs, massage all around, have a feel. Does it feel heavy? Does it feel congested? Does it feel blocked? Is there lumps and bumps? Feel your body. Most women will pull themselves away with the husband tries to touch their breast or it's sore. I don't touch that. It's going to hurt me and that's an important sign. If this area is all clogged up, then your brain, all of the waste has nowhere to go to and our glimphatic system relies on sleep preferably on the left hand side. Yeah. Realize on you not to be stressing too much. Hello, like women's stress, women don't sleep. All of those things are going on and it's like your brain going through a car wash. We can get to sleep and then we wake up because we need to pee. We wake up because we need to see the kids. We wake up because we hear a noise. We are on alert the whole time. So we never get to do that full wash. We do a bit of a rinse, bit of a rinse, bit of a rinse, but there's no deep clean happening. So of course, we're going to have junk build up in our brain. It's us with a little bit of brain fog, a little bit of memory loss. What are they saying? That's menopausal signs and then it can further on from that cause, you know, dementia and other neurotoxin-related diseases. So for your mission, this education about the brain health and dementia is also part of this vision as well. Of course. So helping women sleep better. Yes, better. Like detox better. It's not just a massage. It's not just a ritual that you're doing every day. Is that correct? It's an understanding of how our body works. And the biggest comment that I get is why did I get taught this earlier? Why didn't I know this? It's simple. Like, to me, it's simple. To me, we should be taught this in school. To me, like, we can't trust the system. So the education systems broke, the medical, the medical systems broken. So we create our own system. So ladies, it is up to you to support your own body and teach your own kids. Don't put the, do not put the responsibility on to somebody else and the blame on to somebody else that you don't know. You now know. Exactly. And when you say, like, we need to know earlier, when do you believe that women should start doing this? Children are born with over 300 heavy metals in their body now. That's what support are they getting? If you can have a kid nowadays. So they're, most kids are constipated. When I tell people they need to poo three times a day, if you are eating breakfast lunch in dinner, you're eating three meals, you should poo three times a day. The poo from breakfast shouldn't wait for lunch and shouldn't wait for dinner. And then the next day's breakfast and then all hold hands and come out together in one big lump. That's hard. Or some people don't even poo for five days or seven days. I hear a lot of that as well. Yeah. That's the toxins that's recirculating around your body. We need more magnesium. We need more minerals. We need more water to be able to help push and move. We're not moving our bodies. So using the gloves every day following this sequence is going to help the natural flow and get that rubbish out of your. The children who, the ladies who tell me that their children are now pooing and running around and so much happier, we're making a difference just with these kids rolling the balls and the spikey side of the gloves around their belly. Yeah. It's not hard. That could be a fun activity as well for more moms to incorporate with their children. Yes. Do it together with your kids. Yeah. Yeah. Stop this helicopter parenting where, oh yes, I'll do something with you later or tomorrow or yes, we'll do something. Do it now. The kids grow up like my son's 20 now and they grow up so fast. And they love that he's a part of this journey with you. I would love to know a little bit about because we've just been talking about family. I'd love to know a little bit about how he came along this journey because I have seen his face in a lot of the ads. Yes. Yeah. No. He had no choice really as a as a single mom, he had to be in the massage room with me. Yeah. I had 16 acres. I had two dance with no fences and animals. and all the things, lots of round snakes, all the things. And then he would be in the massage room. And my clients knew that if they wanted to see me, Cohen was in there as well. And he would be playing with their feet or playing on Lego or doing something on the ground. He was being a part of it. So he's been, he's seen lots of bodies in his life. And then he was packing the kit's boob camp. When I started boob camp, I would be standing there in my bra and undies. He would have the phone, live. And he would be reading out the questions from the women, from when he was 10 years old. Reading the questions for me to answer. On the money, that kid, for all the social media things. Yes, how he is. I love it. I want to go make sure we're answering some questions. I love hearing about the family as well. But I want to make sure we're answering some questions of these women that I'm hearing from. I just, I don't think I can do it. I'm too big. I can't get to the gym. I feel tired. Even some women getting irritated with the spikey side because they're so stagnant. I'm assuming. Yeah. But what are a few signs that they can pick up that their lymphatic system needs more support earlier rather than later themselves? Yeah. I don't want to be harsh. But a lot of women like to have something to win about and don't want to change their lives. Yeah. I'm saying it out loud. If these gloves, it's two minutes a day. It's massaging your body. It's easy. It's simple. Stop winging and just do it. Yeah. Okay. Like, yes, that's a little bit harsh. Not at all for our health. It's for our health. Yes, they are spikey. But if your skin integrity was great, was fine, you'd love it. It'd be perfect. So use them until your skin heals and your skin improves. Look at what's going on inside your gut to help the skin that's on the outside. What's your zinc levels like? What's your omega levels like? Are you eating fatty, fast food? You know, crap food. Like what are you putting into your body? I'm okay for any woman to get to a certain point and draw a line in the sand and say, hey, no more. And I'm going to accept that I was responsible for where I got here. Because then they can say, I'm responsible now for getting me out of this mess and they can take the steps. Yeah. As soon as you hand responsibility and blame to how you've got somewhere to somebody else, you're looking for someone to save you. And no, no one's coming to save you. You can do this yourself. And what do you think got you? Because that's a big thing as a woman to say, I think, what do you think got you to that point where you can say comfortably, you know, pick up your shit and do it yourself? As a coach, as a mum, as a leader, where we want to see results and I'm past sugar coating anything. We don't have time to sugar coat anymore. I've got no time to listen to the winging. Yeah. Yeah, no. You want to make a change? Like I can tell by your vitamin D levels how long you're going to live. So we can tell. We can see, stop lying. Start doing this is simple. We've changed thousands and thousands of women's life. And I know you might look at it and go, you can do this whether you're in a wheelchair, no matter your age. Like my pop passed away when he was in his 90s, not on one medication at all. Was he doing his gloves? Was he banging his chest like Tarzan? Yes, he would look at me and go, holy shit, here she comes. And bang his chest and put his arms up in the air and like wave his body around because he knew that he'd be in trouble but he feels better once he does it. If you don't want to listen, go and winch to somebody else. Go and do something with somebody else. I like to deal with people who are in the game with me. And it's okay if you're sitting three rows back and just listening and slowly doing one little step at a time and then one little step. That's fine, you don't have to be the front, like the front forward runner with me going, yeah Chelsea, let's do it. And I'm going to do it like you don't have to be that. Other people are going to do that. It's okay for you to watch from the sidelines and just be a ball boy every now and again, or the water girl, like that's okay too. But take something and take action. Nothing's going to change if you don't do one thing. Exactly, I love that. What do you think for the people maybe three steps back, maybe they're like, they're started, they've changed their diet, they're sleeping more. What do you think's maybe going to get them that little bit closer to the third row if they're not ready to fully do everything? When I make them sick, yeah, okay. So when you start doing this and we start moving this lymph, who knows how long it's been there for, where all the nitty-gritty toxins have been hiding or the parasites, everything that's going on, that starts to move. So you're going to get probably a sore throat. Your nose will start to run. You'll feel heaviness in your eyes, headaches. Some people will even start throwing up. You'll get the sweats, you'll get the poos, you'll get like this change happening in your body. Periods can come back. So women who have not had their period for one or two years have gone, oh my God, you'll see this like, I'm like, I'm making you younger. You should be happy, right? Changes will happen and probably changes that are pretty shitty first to go through, but I would prefer that to happen for the crap to get out of your body, then to stay in and cause cancer and other deadly, serious, you know, cysts, diseases. Yeah, I think because we're about to touch on stress and you've brought up the C word now. When we talk about lymphatic drainage, a lot of women are scared to have it whilst they've got their sick or we're told not to do that while we have cancer. What is your take on that? Cancer foundation now on their website says that it's completely safe. And what do you think, for example, if you were to start one place, this is gonna make me feel better. Maybe they're going through chemo, maybe they're in remission, maybe they've got lipideme already, but from all of that trauma to their body, what is something that you would say to start, even if they're feeling sick or shit? Yeah, where can they start? Yeah, they can just put their hands on their heart and they can start with a breath. And on our brochure, we have some really nice affirmations around the outside because your thoughts create your feelings, create your actions, create your results. So if we can start with a positive thought at just one positive thought a day of giving hope that yes, even though I'm doing this, I am breathing deep, I'm drinking water, I'm making sure that my diet is full of, you can't get all the essentials out of your diet now anyway. So everybody needs to supplement. Yeah. So you're doing something, but you're saying something positive about you, we need to win the war in our head first. So that is just hope and giving something a go is the number one thing. Going for a walk, getting out in the sunshine, talking to friends, that type of thing, getting yourself in a positive environment, I think make, and you can start with one thing, it can seem, everything can seem overwhelming when you are faced with the big sea or you're faced with the lipidema or the lymphedema. I think being prepared with some education as well helps, not just the down the one route, have a look at all the different options that everybody has. One big, you're asking me about controversy, type things and things. If, when I did have my client, my clinic, if somebody was going through chemotherapy radiation, I wouldn't have them in my clinic. I wouldn't have them in my clinic. Like, I have been to the hospital with a friend going through chemo. Those nurses wear bulletproof, big hazmat suits, right? And then fill you up with the juice from World War II. And then you're let free, but they do say, don't sleep with your partner. They don't sleep the same, don't use the same bathroom. Don't, don't, don't. But then they're turning up and having massages and going and having treatments and coming and using your bathroom and your massage in them without gloves. There is no studies being done on how safe it is this to a therapist for how long is this client going to be radiating the poison out of their body. So I wanted to protect myself and my staff from that because we don't have any answers. - And do you still feel the same about that now? - Yes, yeah. Every practitioner that I coach, I say to them, you choose. They're like, I've got a patient going through this and this, I'm like, okay, what does that mean for you though? - Yeah. - What safety precautions are you put it into place for yourself because there's no testing being done on that. You've got to look after yourself. - Otherwise, we can't look after others. It's like the oxygen mask, so. And it makes sense until we know more, but you can start with the positivity, changing the environment, moving when we can and doing their gloves at home. - Yes. - There's one thing that they can do. - So we've got the gloves to use at home. Definitely the lymphatic cream because that's going to help with skin because the radiated skin. But our harm and icy mats, you may have seen our sauna pods. - The same mats and the solar pods. - Not everyone can afford their own sauna pod. - Yeah. - And they're a Juveness pod. But now we've launched the harm and icy mats. So you can take the mat that's out of the pod and you can lay on those and use the PEMF, therapy, the light therapy, the crystal therapy, and that's for all to have at home, so then nobody misses out. I love that. That's beautiful. I'm going to have to look into that technology a little bit more for your website. When we think about the five minutes a day to support our lymphatic system, where are we encouraging ourselves to begin even though we've kind of spoken about it, we're starting on the chest. I'm thinking that I pick up a glove and we demonstrate a little bit before we get into the rest of our questions. Let's do it. Is that so good? Let's have a move. So how I start my day is even without my glove, when I walk to the toilet in the morning, I'm just using my hands and I'm activating all around my collarbone and my neck area before I even go to the toilet. These are the things you don't have to just use your glove for, and I tell you that our bodies are so toxic and so inflamed that you can do it during the day with your hand and not only just to have your glove, but I don't know if the cameras can pick this up, but just me doing this, I am covered in goosebumps. So I just have to hear my gloves and I have got a lymphatic flush happening. Well. Right now. I can feel it from my ankles all the way up. I will start burping the first time that I do my sequence because I'm unlocking everything, everything that's stuck at the top, then my digestion can fit in and then start moving and then, you know, then I'm ready to eat later on in the day. But it's super easy, Steph, you've got the spikey side on one side, you're getting a full body exfoliation as well as stimulating the myelinated nerve endings. So this is the, takes the voda method to a little bit more of an extreme because we are using spikey and it is spikey because we want results fast. And just by using that brush, we are going to get all of the, where the lymph comes to the surface at the skin and we're going to activate, but we do this naked and we're not going to do that on camera, we're not going to do that on camera. So everyone just pretend we are naked, yes, okay, pretend we're naked and we're sitting here together like we're in the bath, it looks like we're in the bath. And we are going to start at our chest area. So the rollable side is used over top of clothes, over top of our lymphatic cream and just and for rolling for deeper, okay, but it's the same sequence if you're using the rollable side or the spikey side, you're always going to start in the chest area, okay. And that might, if you've had any lymph nodes removed, you're going to spend a little bit longer here, one at a three women who have had lymph nodes removed because of breast cancer surgery, we'll end up with lymphedema, and it breaks my heart because they are not told to do this prior to their surgery, yes, they're not told about anything about management of art. So if your body is in a partner block and you've got 700 toilets and five of them are removed from here, where is the fluid still needs to go to the other toilets, but they're all getting used, they're already getting used, so you have to direct that fluid and say, hey, those five nodes are now closed off, you need to go somewhere else. How hard is that to say to somebody, massage your arm, direct that fluid to the other toilets, the other lymph nodes, create that new path so you don't end up with an arm, the size of an elephant trunk for the rest of your life before, and then again, during all of their procedures and after the surgery. All the time, if you do end up with lymphedema, you have to do this three, four times a day, and no, I don't believe in compression, wearing compression 24/7. Makes sense. Yes. As a lymphatic lady myself, I do not either. I love preso therapy, though, and I see I have one in the salon and I see that you have your booties. Yes. And I think that's incredible as a tool, if you can afford them together at home. Definitely. You need to use the pneumatic compression therapy if you have any severe lymphatic problems, or if you're an athlete or if you just want to help your, if you're on the go a lot, it's really important. People, women, like normal people now are not healthy anymore. Everybody needs all the support that they can get. And if putting the compression boots on is going to lower your stress because we're working with the parasympathetic nervous system, and you feel like you can relax, and then the lymph can flow. It's half an hour. Put your legs in it for half an hour. Why would you wear compression garments that are going to choke you 24 hours a day if you can put your legs in the boots for half an hour, just what makes sense to me. So we're starting here. We're starting at our chest, okay. And I'm going to use the ball side because I don't want to use the rough side on my, on my top. And as you can see, I don't have a bra on. I don't love bras, but I'm wearing one because I've got wide on today. Yes. Yes. And you've got a beautiful suit on, too. So I'm going to start by patting around my neck. Is there, do you go neck to boob to whatever I don't care? It's all one chest. Just just go, just touch. Let your body guide you. You have intuition. Yeah. You do have intuition, ladies, like you please use it. And then I will go to, oh, that feels heavy underneath my arm and I'm just going to puff. I'm going to use the point, the, um, the end of the glove. And I'm going to put it in my, um, pit. Mm-hmm. Now, a lot of women have, um, puffs, not, um, pits. So we need to, that is one really big sign that we have lymphatic issues going on. So maybe while we're going through this, you can say a few other signs that we may be noticing in our body. Yes. So if this area is sore, tense, you know, when you touch it and it feels tight, yes, or lumps and bumps, as well, that could be an iodine deficiency. So just around the, around the chest area, around the boobs. And then once you've done both sides there, you can relax your shoulders because we are so tense. Yeah. We're on our phones. We're lent over a computer. Everything is so tight and punch your jaw. So nothing then can come down from the brain either. So we've got to loosen up as much as we can and we have to breathe and we have to breathe. We have this internal pump that we can use. Mm-hmm. So like Barbara O'Neill says, our noses for breathing, our mouth is for eating. Yeah. Okay. We can take our breaths and our lungs can then help pump this lymphatic fluid around as well. We can do all of that while we are massaging. If it's sore, do it lighter. Do it a little bit more. Or do it lighter. Do it lighter. If you're on lots of medications, do it less time and then spend, wait a day or two and then do it again and then see how you feel. Everybody is going to be different. The amount of comments that I get that this happens and this happens, this happens. I'm like, holy, great, like I can't believe that all of these changes are happening in new women's things that they've been struggling with for 10, 20, 30 years as now changing because they're unblocking the cork. And that can include autoimmune as well. Yeah. Absolutely. E-M-O-S or PCO-S in the past. Yes. Everything. Because that metabolic diseases. Yeah. Definitely. Yes. You know, autoimmune. We have to have cholesterol. Yeah. Cholesterol protects the lining of our skin, that apathyrial lining, cholesterol helps us. Cholesterol is there for when you've got too many spike proteins, too many baddies, sugars, going through your blood vessels, putting holes, putting holes, putting holes, putting holes. Cholesterol comes and covers up the holes. It also hardens the arteries because it has to stop all the shit getting through the holes that all of the spikes. I've made. Unfortunately, you then go to the doctor and the doctor says, oh, your cholesterol's high. And then they put you on a statin, which wipes your cholesterol, which wipes your co-enzyme Q10, which means your face, you're going to look in the mirror, yeah, three months later and go, what's going on? I've just aged three years. My inflammation is going to go up. My vitamin D levels are going to go down because you've been put on a drug that stops your body producing all these beautiful, natural fat fats that your body lives off that you need. Instead of the doctor saying, what are you actually putting into your body that's causing all of these holes? Yeah. How about we stop them? No. They say no because they say that you're too lazy to listen. You won't do it because you'd rather sit in front of the TV and eat your twisties and take a tablet instead and you know what, for half of the population, they are right. And we want to change that. We need to change that. Yeah. Because our health is the only thing that we have. So we're going to be doing this. We're going to change. We're going to digest. We're going to breathe more. We're going to breathe. Yep. We're going to put, where does your hands go when something bad happens? - There you go. (gasps) - Yeah. - That's when we get shot. - Yeah. - Right? - You're hitting your, you know, your lymphatic nodes. (gasps) - Yeah. - What does Tarzan do before he saves Jane? So this is what we gotta do. - It's what we gotta do. - What about the harker before they go to walk? - Yeah. - All right. - So we're gonna touch our inguinals as well. - Yeah. - The ones that no one talks about. - Yes. - Right, so we're gonna open up, and then you're gonna drain towards them. - Yeah. - Okay? - And then if you've got a tuck shop arm, spend a little bit more time there. You've got pains, aches and pains, spend a little bit more time there, okay? - Yeah. - Then we get to our belly. So I like to press with the end of my glove into my belly. - Mm-hmm. - And breathe deep. Our sister Kyle is there. - Yeah. - Right. And when I teach lymphatic drainage to our practitioners, we put a fist in. - Yeah. - We put a fist in quite deep. - And when it hurts, it's not a good thing. - Yeah. - Our poor old spleen isn't working well. - Yes. - All right. And then we activate all those spleen that we don't need. - Yeah. - The gall bladder that we don't need. How many people have not got a gall bladder? And they've never been told by their doctor that they have to take the enzymes, digestive enzymes for the rest of their life. - Okay. I am one of those people. And I'm not taking digestive enzymes. The gall bladder puts out the enzymes that help break up the fat. You don't have that anymore. So you need to take digestive enzymes every day. They're like Pac-Man. - Yeah. - That's going to help break up the food that you're putting into your body. - See all these things? - I'm going to get maxed. - Yes. - And there's other supplements that you said because in like we don't have the best quality where we're getting our food from now, like four supplements that are like you'll go to or the general stressed, puffy, inflamed woman. - Okay. All the sorts of magnesium. I don't care. Take it at day, take it at night, whatever suits you. I like the magnesium and alfeeing. - Yes. - Of course, it's like a woo. It's like rainbows and unicorns all mixed in together and sprinkling star dust, okay? So that's the magnesium and the thinning together. Magnesium is used for over 400, 600, what do I know? How many different enzyme actions in our body and a little bit of stress just eats it up? Choose it. Choose it up. So yeah, definitely magnesium is my go-to. At the moment, while jam because menopause going through menopause and the night sweats and all of those things. So while jam is another one that's on the top of my list, I'm using peptides. - Yeah, okay. - I have IV drips quite a lot. So glutathione and NAC, NAC, NAC, NAC. Anything that helps liver. Your liver detoxify. I'm a massive NAC, NAC, NAC. I've been taking that for a long time. - Yeah, so NAC, vitamin C, high doses to get rid of the oxygenated, you know, all the toxins that are going on, all the stress, all kinds of species that are killing everything off. - Yeah, and then you're the probiotics. - Yeah, okay. - To work on our gut. One lot of antibiotics is going to take three years for you to get your gut back to good health. - Yeah. And on top of all those supplementing, we still need to be moving everything around, drinking enough fluid, so that everything's able to pass through an excrete. - My new addiction is coconut water. - Yeah, I love coconut water. - Oh my God. - It's my thing. Cocoa coast is where I go to, you know, that brand cocoa coast. - Yeah. - I love that coconut water. - Yeah. - We need to have the electrolytes. We need to have the minerals too. So there's lots of things that we're missing out on. As soon as we touched fluorinated water, we are draining all the nutrients out of our body. So even just brushing your teeth with normal tap water brings, puts you back into the negative. - Yeah. - Never drink tap water. - Yeah. - Do not have fluoride. Like we need the iodine. And iodine is starved from our body because of all the chlorine, the bromide, and the iodine that's in our water and in fluoride. And that's in, sorry, not the iodine, fluoride, bromide. And the other one that I just said before, chlorine. Yeah. - Yeah, we don't want that. - No. - None of that. - Thank you. - Yeah. So filter your water. - Filter your water. Definitely get out in the sunshine. Don't wear sunscreen. - Yeah. - Don't wear sunglasses. - Yeah. - Sun glasses cause, when you go out in the sun, your eyes will recognize that it's sunlight and that it will tell your skin to excrete some oil. That will then put a mild protection on your skin. If you're wearing sunglasses, that mechanism doesn't happen. So you will burn faster. - Yeah. Definitely. I've definitely heard that and I haven't worn sunnies in a long time. I do wear my red light glasses that night. - Yes. - And I only wear sunglasses when I want to look cute. - Yes. - So every now and then. - This is an 80% rule. - Yeah. - Do you believe in balance? - And not to squint. You know, I don't want those wrinkles. - Yes. - Yes. - I don't believe anyone can be perfect. - Yeah. - So it's just being educated and doing the best that you can. And then if you stuff up one day, you just start again the next. - And that's what you mean by wear three rows back from the big ones in the crowd. We're doing the things. We're drinking. We're looking after our body. - We're aware. - We're aware of what's going on. And accepting where we're at. - Yeah. And you're looking at the ones in the middle going, oh, that's cool. Oh, good on them. Not like, ooh, who does she think she is? - Like, eh. - You know, don't have attitude to the ones that are given it go. Like I am the biggest supporter of anyone who's given it to go. - I love that. - I want to do a few rapid fire questions for our lives. - Well, we didn't get to the hips. - Well, we got to do the hips first. - We got to do the hips. - So we can bend our legs up and down. We can get into around the hips and then we brush up up up up. - Are we using this part and going into this? - Yes. - No. - We are. We're using, because most women wear undies here and they wear tight undies here because they think that they're going to lose weight and they don't lose weight, but they won't change their undies. They won't go up a size in undies. So instead, they've got this big line and then this big pocket of fluid that's an extra killer on each leg sitting there because they won't change their undies. And so that fluid is just accumulating in the tops of their legs. So ladies, please change your undies every day. - So we're saying bigger undies. Bigger undies or no undies or g-string or boys. Men's undies are so much more comfortable than women's undies. - And no bras because we don't want to be running our lymphatic flow. - Why would you want a steel band cutting you off halfway? - Yeah, you don't want it done. It makes no sense when you say it like that. And then we're just brushing up. - Yeah. - So if you have fat ankles or fat knees, start at your chest. If you have a sore elbow, you start at your chest. If you are bloated, you start at your chest. - Got it. - Everything starts at our chest. - Everything starts at the boobs. - Yeah. - The boobs. - Start at the boobs. - I'm part of the boob camp. - Yes. - I love it. - And then where are we finishing? Are we going, we've done our leg. - But then what you can do is just go back to an area. Like if you've got cellulite, go back to that area and give it a good rub afterwards. Now cellulite is going to look worse before it looks better. As you know, we're breaking up the layers of skin, the fat and that all that's, it's going to, I call it globulite, it's my word. I just made it up. And that's going to look globulier because you're losing the fat levels on the top because you're working out and you're doing, so you're going to see the cellulite more, but it needs to be able to get out. So it's going to look globulier. - Because it is waste. - Yes. - And we need a lot of lymphatic drainage get that waste and then all of the laxity in our skin needs to be improved with diet, exercise. - Yes, that's true. - Using the cream. - Yeah, yeah, I'm excited to try this cream. - Yes. - So now that we've done our legs, we've done our stomachs. - And then we bounce. - So I get everyone to stand and bounce. - Yes. - If we could stand up, we'd be doing that. Everyone knows I love a bounce. - But skipping, so you'll see, like I will skip when I walk my dog, I will bounce as much as I can. You can put your legs up the wall, you can hop on your wobble boards, you can hop on your little trampoline, dance. - Do you think that those vibration plates are a waste of money? - No. - Okay, cool. - Go to marketplace, get one for 30 bucks. And even if you lay down and put them underneath your legs. - Yeah, and you do it like a socky. - Yes, like do it sideways. And I think that's going to move, vibrate, change, I don't care. Anything's going to give hope and move the lymphatic system. It's going to help, yes. - I love that. - So now we're going to go to rapid fire for a few minutes. Or if we had one thing to choose from, are you rushing to a magnesium pool or a sauna? - A sauna. - Okay, infrared or traditional? - It's infrared. - Awesome. Does drinking more water actually help our lymphatic system? - Let me think about that. Do you flush the toilet after you use it? 'Cause I like all the poo's from a week to sit in it. And I like to smell the poo's from everybody in my house, like all collecting a bowl together. So do the women that say, I don't drink water, I drink coffee. Please listen to that again. And you don't want dirty poo's in your toilet, which is your body. - Yeah. - I love that. I'm not gonna forget that now. - Why are we waking up with a puffy face? Just two sentences or words? - Glimphatic drainage. - Yeah, dehydration. Lever all of those things you haven't slept. So we're not letting anything Processing process. Yeah. Is there anyone that shouldn't perform self lymphatic massage? No What's one symptom women have normalized that is normal that shouldn't be considered normal in our bodies? That you hear most of Axe and pains A gene saw breasts. Yeah, don't I'm there saw or don't touch me. Yeah, it's a sign Your body is giving you a little bit of a sign. Yeah, so any place that there is inflammation and soreness Yeah touch it. I love that and appreciate it. Give it love. Yeah, don't avoid it and we can't We can't heal from a body we don't love right exactly. You can't hate yourself beautiful. Yeah, I like that Finish this sentence every woman deserves to know how to unblock their lymphatic system I love it if you had two options. Are we or one option? Are we doing yoga or are we doing Pilates? I don't care either Could do both movement dance yoga Pilates move if you've got a Pilates instructor instructor like I had you would be singing and Doing Pilates and doing all the different moves and the yoga as well. So yeah, yeah, it doesn't matter move movement and Is dry body brushing the same as your glove? I Honestly thought so yeah when I first started with the gloves until I had a group of women I'm European women. I was going F-45 at the time and My first order of gloves was 20 sets of gloves. Yeah, so I use the women at gym as my little you know test ladies And they were like oh, I dry skin brush every day because they went taught Yeah, how to do it and they came back with severe detoxification symptoms and they were like Chelsea. Holy shit What has happened to you? So gloves definitely gloves and Most importantly for you what is their most important wellness non-negotiable in your day That you're keeping and what are you leaving behind? Well, I said that everything starts with thoughts and I suppose that like having a positive Process in your brain just one positive process Will then kick off the next so to be able to have some hope and then to just to do one thing Yeah, so yes, I can make a change in in my body. Yes, she's doing it. She's doing it I have made a group. I have made examples. We have got the proof there You've seen so many thousand women changed their lives by doing it So I would say yeah, just some some hope to to know that they can When they're ready to do it for and they just need to get over whatever story they're telling themselves in their head That it won't work. It will work That's a beautiful place to To finish on. Thank you so much Chelsea for sharing your wisdom your just I love your attitude. You're hilarious You are everything that I thought you would be in person and more you have A brain that everyone needs to listen to honestly and I just love How we can allow each other to be curious about our bodies and support each other So thank you so much for joining me and thank you to everyone who's listening if you have a woman in your life Just share this with them because I do think that everyone needs to know about this and then we will direct them Straight to your website so they can learn how to use these. Yes Thank you so much as I put in all of this together and being part of the movement because I can't do it without other supportive women like you Thank you so much

Summary:

FAQs

The lymphatic system is the body's natural waste removal and immune support system. It helps remove toxins, reduce inflammation, balance hormones, and support brain health by clearing neurotoxins. Poor lymphatic function can lead to swelling, fatigue, and conditions like dementia.

You should always start at the chest area, including the collarbone, neck, and underarms. This helps unblock the main pathway of lymph flow, which can improve circulation and reduce swelling throughout the body.

Signs include puffiness around the face, arms, or legs; sore or tight breasts, underarms, or elbows; frequent headaches or fatigue; and bloating. These indicate blockages that can be addressed with gentle self-massage and lifestyle changes.

Yes, it can be safe, but practitioners recommend starting with positive affirmations and light self-care. Women should avoid deep massage during active treatment and prioritize safety, especially regarding radiation exposure, and consult with their care team first.

Yes, tools like dry brushing gloves, lymphatic creams, and PEMF mats (like harm and icy mats) can help stimulate lymph flow. These are especially useful for daily use and can be combined with movement and hydration.

Children are born with high levels of heavy metals and toxins. Starting early helps build healthy lymphatic function, improves digestion, supports immune health, and reduces long-term risks of inflammation and disease.
