SimpliSafe leverages AI and real-time monitoring to prevent break-ins, promoting proactive home security. Shopify supports entrepreneurs by offering end-to-end business tools, while Vanta enhances enterprise trust through compliance and risk integration. Politically, Anthony Scaramucci analyzes Donald Trump’s rise as a result of economic and social grievances, including inflation, China’s role, and Wall Street bailout excesses. He warns that Trump’s leadership style—marked by deception and personal attacks—may be replicated by future candidates, especially within the GOP. Scaramucci suggests that the current political system is broken, with a duopoly that excludes moderates, and points to California Governor Gavin Newsom as a potential unifying, capable alternative. He emphasizes that true reform requires a new kind of leadership—one that avoids deception and serves the public with integrity. The narrative underscores a broader theme: that confronting uncomfortable truths—about technology, politics, and power—is essential for meaningful change.

Because if Democrats are going to take the House, let's say they split and they go 50-50. You need 17 Republicans that have had enough of him. They hate his guts. Keep pushing and keep doing this sort of nonsense that they all hate. Lindsey Graham puts out these sanctions. He dies and they vote 86 to whatever bipartisan commitment on the sanctions. Trump revokes the sanctions. So, okay, keep doing that. You're going to get cross traffic. You're going to get back into the Democrats to say, impeach him in the House. I'll pull up 17 votes and we'll knock him out of the presidency. That is on the table. That's how much these people hate him. I'm Joanna Coles. This is the Daily Beast podcast. Don't forget to support this podcast. Like it and share it with a friend. We're independent media and we really appreciate your support. And today we have another independent thinker on the podcast, Anthony Scaramucci. We talked to the Mooch about. What does Putin have on Donald Trump? Anthony has seen it up close. What went wrong with Katie Zachariah who stole Anthony's unit of time as the shortest Trump staffer? Pulled him out of the Guinness Book of Records. We'll talk to him about why she wasn't really right for the job. And of course, we'll talk to him about his new book, All the Wrong Moves. What was it about the last 30, 20 years in politics that set up the conditions for Donald Trump? To come to power not once, but twice. And what will it take to get America back on course? So let's get into it with the second shortest-lived Trump staffer, Anthony Scaramucci. Anthony Scaramucci, welcome back to the Daily Beast podcast. It's good to be with you always. How are you, Joanna? Well, we're going to talk about your new book, which I'm excited about. Congratulations. It's hard work writing a book. And you have written one that. Whistles past, as you read it. Oh, thank you. Flawless, quick. I appreciate you. Thank you. Quick modern history of America and then how to resolve the issues that we find ourselves facing. But first, we have to get into it because the last time I saw you. Well, since the last time I saw you, your record has been broken as the shortest-serving Trump staffer. How did that happen, Anthony? Let's just unpack. You know, I was hoping a little bit more sympathy, more condolences. I could have said, hey, welcome back to the show, but I'm sorry you've been kicked out of the Guinness World Book of Records, something. I mean, I don't know. But I feel like she's like a thoroughbred racehorse. She came in there very quickly. She made it look easy, and she blew out. And she's become a little bit of a pen pal with me. I've corresponded with her, and I wish her well. Listen, she probably a little swore at me because I said she shouldn't be in that job, and I didn't mean that. And that negative. That negative way about her, that's not what I was trying to say. She said, you know, I'm a pretty good read of people. She's not a machine-gun liar. She just doesn't have that in her. Maybe she believes certain things that I wouldn't believe. I'll accept that. And maybe she has different political views than me. But you've got to lie with passion, and you have to lie with impunity, and you have to lie with unbelievable mega amounts of self-confidence. And, you know, good people. And she seems like a good person to me, to be honest. And so good people can't do that. And she would have not been good in that job. So she could be mad at me for saying that, but I'm just letting you know that was my opinion, observing her. Is that what you felt you were doing during Trump 1, lying with impunity? Well, no. I only had one press conference. So I go back and look at the press conference. Even the shit where they said I said he was throwing a football through a tire, they were like I was lying. I wasn't lying. There's videotape of him doing that. I didn't make that up. And so, you know, I. I didn't lie in the job. I would have had to have lied in the job if I stayed in the job. There's no question about it. But go look at the. I only did one press conference and didn't lie in that press conference. And I did a few interviews. I was pretty straight talking in those interviews. You were very straight talking in the interviews. That was the problem. I think that's what got me in trouble because, you know, they don't like that. They want you to be an obfuscator and all that other stuff. And I'm not that. You know, I wasn't. And by the way, when I say Katie Zacharias wasn't. right for the job, I'm also putting her in my category. I was not right for that job either. I'm not denigrating her by saying that. I'm actually weirdly making a flattering comparison. I just think she was too honest for that job, you know. And again, she believes crazy stuff like Pizzagate and stuff like that. I get it. But I actually think she believes that stuff. I don't think she's lying about that. I'm not sure that she was too honest for the job. She was just ill-prepared for the job. And I think thoughts that, you know, compared working for America, her own network or whatever it's called, the own network, to actually being faced with real press and real questions. Having said that, she only took three questions. Anyway, we don't need to talk about her anymore. It was just funny that she's stolen your mantle. I mean, you know, it was a long rain. Having said that, it was a long rain. I just want to thank everybody for the nine years that I was given in the Guinness World Book of Records, you know. But, you know, one other thing that you should probably enjoy because you're a journalist. If you knew the number of calls that I got from inside the White House from MAGA people that are, you know, rah-rah Trump, who genuinely still like me and were giving me some you-know-what about the whole thing. And one guy who I'm very close to, even though he's MAGA and I disagree with him, he's like, Mooch, you're finally off the hook, man. I mean, but I mean, you know, it was my six days, Joanne. I mean, she blew right by me, man. I know. She halved your record. More than that. She was only, yeah, she's secretariat. She's secretariat. God bless her. It's like someone running the two-minute mile. It just blasted. Roger Bannister is calling from heaven and saying, I know how you feel, Scaramucci. Okay, so, Scaramucci. Yes. Let's talk about what's happening in Russia. Let's talk about Putin and let's talk about Trump. It's such a serious moment right now. Trump yelling at Zelensky. And just saying, we're going to get this done. The prospect of a meeting between she, Putin, and Trump, excluding Zelensky about the future. Yeah. You know, what's your interpretation of it? How do you think it's going to end? And what does Trump get out of alienating all his Western allies? That will not be a great meeting for Putin. Okay, so let's just, whatever Trump wants, he's in the tank for Putin. We can talk about why I believe that and I can run down my list. I have all the reasons, but you have to understand something. Xi is not going to go for the full capitulation of Ukraine. He's just not going to go for that because he's positioning himself globally as a stable partner. And he's positioning himself, he may not be in the post-World War II rules-based society, but he's in the Chinese Communist Party's rules-based society. So, you know, he wouldn't go for that. And I know, you know. Yeah. And you know this, you know, if Putin did something crazy like nuke Ukraine, she would take him out because he's not going to want that. First of all, Putin would never do that. This podcast is supported by Anthropic, the public benefit corporation behind Claude. Everyone's got a hard question about AI. Ask yours at claude.ai/spotify and keep thinking. That's claude.ai/spotify. I was going to say, that's a very gloomy scenario. Yeah. I'm just saying, people have said to me, oh, my God, Putin's up against the ropes. And Zelensky's figured out what new tech and drone technology to fight back. And he's encouraging inside deep into, you know, territory, data centers in Moscow, et cetera. And, you know, Putin will use a nuke. nuke. He's not going to use a nuke. There's so many different reasons why I wouldn't. But one of the main reasons is she would take him out because, you know, she wants to run the card table in his poll. And if we're in a multipolar world and again, you know, the Chinese are not interested. I don't believe in taking over America or Europe or anything like that. They'd rather do it economically. You know, they don't they think in 200 year units of time. And, you know, she even though he's 70 something, he doesn't he doesn't he's not going to do anything like that. So. So, again, you have to always look at the people in different interests. I don't think that's a great meeting for Putin, by the way. But if that meeting were to happen, that would be then I would tell you that the Republican Party is completely dead. We'd probably have to get a tombstone out. And you tell me the date of that meeting and I will chisel into the tombstone. This party got started in Wisconsin in 1856. It elected. It elected Abraham Lincoln in 1860 and it died on the date of that meeting. The party is dead. Stick in a fork in it. The Cheney, Bush, Romney, Reagan, Eisenhower party dead. Stick a fork in it. And so Trump should be very careful with that because, you know, he would probably he's going to push the envelope where he may be asked to leave the presidency. So, you know, people say, oh, that's crazy. Not crazy, because the Democrats are going to take the House. Let's say they split and they go 50 50. And you're a good journalist. They hate his guts. OK, you're Michael Wolff knows that. OK, I listen to you guys. You know, they hate his gut. He hates them, by the way. And they hate him. Right. And so and so just so you know, keep pushing and keep doing. This sort of nonsense that they all hate. You know, we just had the I mean, the Lindsey Graham documentary. I mean, just a little bit advertising here on The Daily Beast. You got to watch this documentary. Closetocracy is unbelievable. But Lindsey Graham is pushing for these sanctions. Hold on. This is the documentary about three men who claim that they were paid to have sex with Lindsey Graham. Correct? Yeah. Yeah. Again, you should watch it. I fully intend to watch it. Yeah, you should watch it. Yeah. Unfortunately for me, because I'm a little bit of a night owl. I was like riveted to the thing. I couldn't stop watching it, actually. But but I'm just saying Lindsey Graham puts out the sanctions. He dies unceremoniously and tragically. And they vote 86 to whatever bipartisan commitment on the sanctions. So, OK, keep doing that. And you're going to get a you're going to get cross traffic into the Democrats to say impeach him in the House. I'll pull up. 17 votes and we'll knock him out of the presidency. And and by the way, people can say, oh, that will never happen. Ladies and gentlemen, that is on the table. And so don't underestimate that commentary. OK, so I never underestimate your commentary, Anthony. That's why we have you back repeatedly. What do you think? Because you just alluded to it. What do you think Putin has on Trump? I mean, this is a question that everybody. How is it that the American president is bending over for the Russian president 30 years after we thought the Cold War was won? I don't I don't I don't know what he has on him. So I'm not going to say on your podcast, this is what he has on because I don't know. And I think, you know, McMaster didn't know. Kelly didn't know. I think there's people in the agency. Maybe some of them may know. Maybe some of the MI6 people know. I think if you can get Christopher Steele on the podcast, he would. He would probably know more than I do in terms of documentary evidence. He was the author of the dossier. Yeah, the Steele dossier. And so I think he would have more documentary evidence. But I'm just going off of having a good nose in life. And I've said this on your show. When the windows open and you hear clippity-clop, it is a horse. It's not a zebra. You can't overthink it. OK, that's what it is. OK, right. Why are you going to overthink? It's like Occam's razor. Whatever you think it really is, it is. So. You know, he stood with Putin in Helsinki and he disclaimed U.S. intelligence. He lobbied to bring Russia back into the G7. He's withheld military aid to Zelensky. He did it with the javelins in 2019, trying to get dirt on Biden. He pulled out of Syria because he wanted to give Russia a freer hand in the region. Didn't work out well for Russia. He's openly questioned the NATO defense strategy. He's lifted sanctions. He's lifted sanctions on Deripaska's linked companies. He's walked away from the INF nuclear treaty. No Republican wanted him to do that. Putin wanted him to do that. He walked away from the Open Skies Treaty. You remember that one, right? Leaving the European allies with less visibility to actually what the Russians were doing. You know, again, you're a smart journalist. Putin is a threat to those Eastern European former republics. Well, he's a threat to Europe, right? He's a threat to Europe. He's a threat to Poland. Putin is doing things in Germany, France, and the United Kingdom that you and I both know are nefarious, diabolical, and murderous. We both know that, okay, because we're smart people and we're clued into these things. And we know that he is an enemy to the West. We know that. So I'm out with a guy last night. Why can't we be friends with Putin? You can't be friends with Putin because nobody's friends with Putin. You know, this is not a democracy. And this is a guy that's trying to project his power. And this is a guy that's wrecked his country in order to preserve power because that's what these maniacs do. They want to wreck the country and they want to personally aggrandize themselves and forsake their public. And enrich themselves, right? Yeah, they got to enrich themselves. I mean, I don't even get that, you know, because how much food are you going to eat? How many yachts are you going to float? I don't know what you guys are doing, you know. Calm yourself. Calm yourself down, right? But, you know, you think about how he berated Zelensky. You know, he halted the cyber offensive operations against Russia. That was in the last term. Okay. Let's go to Starshield. He slowed that down. Okay. And if you believe Elon Musk did that unilaterally, then you don't understand how the country works. There is no way Elon Musk did that without the United States president telling him to do that. Okay. Even though. Even though somebody dropped a bomb on him in the Wall Street Journal saying it was Musk. I mean, he is stupid. Of course it wasn't Musk. He's got so many government contracts and he needs the president in so many different ways. You think he's doing that unilaterally, then you don't understand him. And you don't understand how he got to be worth a trillion dollars because he's not doing that unilaterally. Okay. You got the diesel fuel. Funny enough, you could have called Carney and got 4% more supply from Carney north of the border. Well, you're in the you're in the White House saying that Carney is the enemy and and she and Putin are great guys. And that's exactly right out of Catherine Belton's book. Right. If you read Putin's people when they compromise somebody, well, what do they want? Well, they have a checklist. One of the things is moral equivocation. We kill people. You kill people. Their elections are flawed. Our elections are fraudulent and flawed. Okay. So you. You want to create this equivocation and make the people in this country or the United Kingdom feel less worthy, less worthy about their system. Okay. And you need political leadership to speak out. Schroeder, Gerhard Schroeder, Donald J. Trump. You're going to speak out and talk SHIT about the West and you're going to downgrade yourself and be a supplicant of mine. This is the greatest. arm policy achievement post 1917 Russian Revolution. You know, the second greatest one would be Brexit. They formulated that and they helped to create that. Even Andy Burnham is saying that now. And so these are achievements by Putin and he's laughing. And so what does he have on him? He's got something. And he's probably threatened him recently with it. He probably said, hey, I know you've got your Congress and I know you've got your Pentagon and your agency that hates me, but you better cut it out because if you don't cut it out, I'm going to ruin you because you're in the middle of a very heated election. And the October surprise is that Trump is bi-curious and he loves Putin. That's the October surprise. I mean, I didn't expect those two things to happen simultaneously, but that's what it is. So funny. Ask yours at claude.ai slash Spotify and keep thinking. That's claude.ai slash Spotify. Shag here. What's it like to buy a car from Carvana? 100% online and get it delivered to your door. See our seven-day return policy at carvana.com. Well, can we tie that into his remarkable comments about John Husted, who's running up against Sherrod Brown in Ohio, who Husted took over from J.D. Vance in the Senate there. But what do you make of Trump's comments about him? We've actually got a clip. Let's play the clip. But I looked at his ass. And then I looked at his legs. And I said, his ass is like, it's like a pile of muscle. Then I looked at his leg. And I said, man, his feet are big. Then I looked at his shoulders and I tapped him on the shoulder and it actually hurt my hand. It was like a piece of steel. Anthony, you've said that the president is becoming disinhibited. You've said he's got a meaner. He seems to be getting stranger, even for Donald Trump. This was a peculiar, this was a peculiar thing to say. You know. He's off his rocker, right? So that was actually in North Carolina. You know, he said it twice now. So he's getting attention off of that. OK, so he's saying it. So he's either bi-curious. OK. And, you know, and there's a lot of evidence that he's probably bi-curious because he's talking about Arnold Palmer's schlong and this guy's a good looking guy. He's grabbing sweaty UFC fighters and telling people how handsome they are and strong and all this sort of stuff. And so I look, I don't know. I don't what I don't want to do is I'm not a homophobic person. OK, I have family members that are gay. I have friends of mine that are gay. I voted for gay marriage and marriage equality in the United States. So I don't want to be the guy that's talking about Trump. But Anderson Cooper, who is gay, is running film and showing you what he's doing. So you'd have to think that there's something there. OK, so let's talk about your book, Anthony, All the Wrong Moves, which centers on three particular elements that you think propelled Donald Trump to power. And they are the three catastrophic decisions, right? Privileging China. That's the first one. War without taxes is the second one. Eight trillion dollars. Yep. Right. And the third one is the Wall Street bailout, which you saw very much firsthand. Can you sum up for people each of those and why it led to the propulsion of Trump? Yeah, because step one with China, wage compression, wage anxiety, economically aspirational families turning into economically desperational. The wild deficit spending. Unfortunately, this country, as like many countries, you know, there's an expression in economics that all deficit spending is unfunded tax liability. You're going to have to pay the piper somehow. And so what these bananas do, because they're a bunch of cowards, is they use inflation, which is the most pernicious and most regressive form of taxation, to pay for the deficit. So they're monetizing the debt. We're going to pay the dollars back with ones that are worth less than the ones that we borrowed. But that destroys the lower and middle income people because they don't have any income. So they're going to have to pay the dollars back with ones that are worth less than the ones that we borrowed. But that destroys the lower and middle income people because they don't have any assets, Joanna. So they can't hedge themselves. If my dad's operating a crane and you give him $1,000 based on the hours that he worked, and now you have a 28% inflation, which is what it's been since January of 2020, the U.S. dollar has lost 28% of its purchasing power pre-COVID January 2020. So now my father's got $720 worth of purchasing power. You've crushed the guy. Okay? That's step one. Okay? So you made me anxious because you offshored everything that I was working on. Now you're taking my money through inflation. And oh, by the way, when something bad happens in the economy, you're taking care of the fat cats and you're not taking care of me. There were 5,000 bankers that got paid $1 million or more in bonuses during the government bailout. Now the bankers should be pushing- Whoa, whoa, whoa. 5,000 bankers that got- Yeah. I mean-. $1 million or more in bonuses during the government bailout. 5,000 bankers that got- I'm making that up. Yeah, that's in my book. paid $1 million in bonuses. Wow. Wow. Yeah. They got the $1 trillion from the government. The banks re-fortified themselves and they paid out the bonus money. And they said this was retention bonuses. They would leave for private equity and it was necessary to do it and blah, blah, blah. But the optics of that were terrible for the country. And the bankers at this point should be pushing back on me saying, "Well, we paid it back with interest." Yes, you did. But again, the optics of it. Because the percentage- Yeah. perception in a political shit show is the reality. And so the American people looked at that and said, "Okay, you hurt me with the Chinese. Then you crushed me with the inflation. And now you're telling me I have a two-tiered system so I cannot get ahead." And this creates anger-based politics. And people said, "I've had enough." They went to Bernie Sanders rallies. They said, "Oh, wait a minute. There's an orange maniac without his bronzer on. He looks like an open spam can. He's- He's coming to town. And he's going to wear this hat. And he's going to scream at me. And I'm good with that because I want him to be an orange wrecking ball to smash into the Daily Beast podcast, to crush Wall Street. All these people, these elites that I hate, I want this orange wrecking ball to smash into them. And I want him to be the avatar of my anger." And so when he says, "I could shoot somebody on Fifth Avenue." No problem. He understands that these people have no hope and they're clinging to him. No matter what he does, they're going to equivocate because they need somebody to provide the Liz pendants. Anthropic was built to surface those questions and share what it finds along the way because there's hope in hard questions. But how could they vote for him twice, Antony? I mean, I understand your argument in terms of voting for him the first time. Then we have COVID. Then we have inflation. Biden comes in. Was this just the Democrats' fault that he bounces back in the election? In 2024? Yeah, 100%. Well, first of all, it's the Democrats' fault that he's president because Biden, if he ran against Clinton, would have beat Clinton and then would have slayed Trump. And it was a younger version of Joe Biden. So the Democrats are the best thing Donald Trump has going for him. Okay? So we both know that, right? So you give the poor person 107 days. The most searchable term on the evening of the election is, "Did Joe Biden drop out?" Yeah. Because you have low information voters and like, "Who's this person that's in the. Oh, I don't know this person." So hear me out. We had the crazy uncle setting the place on fire before COVID. So we brought in the benign grandfather, okay, who was half asleep in his basement. We said, "We got to get rid of the crazy uncle. We can choose between the benign, semi-sane grandfather or the crazy uncle." We went with the benign grandfather. But then the grandfather started sunsetting before our eyes. And so now we got a choice between the crazy uncle or the unknown sister. And so they went back to the crazy uncle because they didn't know the sister. And you know this, okay? You know this. The number one thing you need to be president of this country, it's not money. It's name recognition. Name recognition. That is the number one thing you need. If your name is saturated, people recognize you, "Oh, I know that person. I'm comfortable with that. Let me vote for that person into the office." Okay. So the last part of your book is about what happens next, right? And you say, and I'm going to read a little bit of it, "We have a grave national crisis and we have hope." I've explained how we got into the crisis and how we might act on our hope. I want to end with what I think of as both an opportunity and a worry. If we're going to reform the country, we'll need a rare person to become president. Who that may be has not yet become clear. Trump and his people have said, "We're going to reform the country." They've so radically altered the nature of the office that the next president will be in a position to think something like this. Trump has just handed me a masterful playbook for how I can make $5 billion for myself, which I think is probably an underestimation of what Trump will make, but whatever. We can argue about that in a minute. Well, I mean, I wrote the book eight months ago. I should have said 10 billion. The guy's out of his mind. Yeah, it should have been 10 billion, but I keep going. Okay. All right. So Trump has just handed me a masterful playbook for how I can make $5 billion for myself and control the presidency like a monarch. Plenty of possible next presidents. Presidents will leap at that opportunity without a second thought if they get in. The playbook is why they want to be president in the first place. Everybody who will vie to become the heir of Trump is bound to do just that unless they go through some astonishing changes and reckonings and start to see things differently. Never say never, but the chances are good that to find the kind of person I'm talking about will want to look somewhere elsewhere than the group of Republicans who hope to assume the Trump mantle. So what does this mean, Anthony? Is this your platform? Is this you running? Is this you testing the waters? No, no, no, it's not. It's not. I'm not running because, first of all, I'm not a politician. Secondly, once you. Well, Donald Trump wasn't a politician, and we know that people don't like politicians. But he's a congenital liar. Okay, I'm not. I've got enough problems. I don't have the ability to lie like that. Also, all of these people end up like the pigs in Animal Farm. Okay, look at what Vivek Ramaswamy did. He was saying glowing rhetoric two years ago, and now he's a trailer trash politician going after something that happened to this poor woman 30 years ago. He's a despicable cretin human being. He's exactly what my friend Chris Christie said about him. And so what happens to people is they go into that, they completely become liars, and then they do really stupid shit against their principles to try to win. But not everybody does that. Not everybody does that. Tell me one person. Tell me one person in this era. Lots of people listening to you would think, well, Barack Obama did not do that. That's not how he operated. I mean, all presidents have to obfuscate. Just to Barack Obama, he generally did not operate like that, but he did light up a big pack, and he did say, you know what, I'm against them, but I got no choice but to do this because this is a big arms race. He said he wasn't going to do it, and then he went and did it. Do you remember that part of it? He did do it. What do you mean, that he just fell into the money trap? He said, yeah, I'm not going to take the money from the political action committees and they're blah, blah, blah. But then he took it. You know, he was a better. But that's not an equivalent. But that's not an equivalent of what Donald Trump has done with the office. You're making a very good point. And I'm ceding the point to you. OK, because I and I do like President Obama. I do think President Obama calls Trump, by the way, because he because he had to deal with the Clintons and he should have let Biden run. But he didn't. He pushed Biden not to run. And, you know, now we're stuck with Trump. Also, there were some policies that the president did that were identity based and woke based that triggered a lot of people in this country that don't like that stuff. Well, that may be true, but your point was that whoever becomes president is going to have to lie and essentially pick up the mantle from Trump. And I'm just pushing back and saying I don't think that's true, and I don't think that's what the country wants. I just, you know, for me, I've got, you've got to be such a narcissist, Joanna, that you don't give a shit about your kids. Okay, you've got to be like, okay, my five children are going to get torched. They're going to torch my wife. They're going to rehash my kids. They're going to take skeletons out of my closet and drive me and my family crazy. And by the way, could I take that? Yeah, I probably could take that because I'm a tough son of a bitch and I don't really care. Also, you seem to have taken that anyway. I mean, you've taken that over the last few years. I know, but I don't want to put my family through that. Okay. I love my family too much to put them through that. But by the way, you're being very flattering. I have no party to run in. I can't run as a Republican. They hate my guts because I left Trump. I can't run as a Democrat. They hate my guts because I was with Trump. So where am I running? Like, let's say, let's say tonight you're my campaign manager. Although the party is going to have to be remade. I'm your guy and you're my campaign manager. Where are we going? And the only place we could go is after the moderates. We'd have to create a whole new market of people and think like entrepreneurs. Is it doable? Possibly. But as I write in the book, they have a very tight duopoly and they have a very tight cartel at the top. And so you would have to go into one of those parties, take over the party, and then convince the independents to move back into one of those two parties. That'd be the only way you could do it. All right. Well, I want to think about this more because I think you'd be a fantastic candidate. But who are the narcissists? That's very sweet of you. But I mean, I don't even know if I meet the high record. I barely met the high record. That's a requirement for my rollercoaster life. I don't know. I wouldn't be the tallest president, I can tell you that. Well, but you'd be the president with the best hair. Come on, Anthony. You'd be the president with the best hair. I would definitely. You can tug a tugboat with this hair, thank God. I just want to thank my grandfather, Augustine, my mother's father, for my hair. And your grandmother, to whom the book is dedicated, right? She must have had something to do with it, too. They say you get the hair from your mother's father. That's why I'm thanking him. But, you know, my. My father was pretty bald, by the way. But, no, my grandmother, as I say in the book, she came here with nothing. She gave us everything, you know. My whole life. It's a moving dedication. Of the other narcissists out there, then, that you think might be up for running, who would you put money on right now? Who would you put money on as not only running but bringing it home? So, listen, the only Democrat that can beat these guys is Newsom. I'm just telling you, they won't put him up, probably, because of all the bullshit around him. But he's got the hair. He's got the name recognition. He's got the height. He's got the debating skills. California went from the fifth largest economy in the world to the fourth largest. And he has problems in California, but he solved a lot of them. And he could beat these guys. Because he knows their game, and he also knows how to use the social media. He's a social media ninja. And he could slay these guys. And he destroyed DeSantis in that debate a few years ago. A few years back. On Fox. On Fox. Yeah, I thought that was very smart. He's the only guy that can beat them. Now, they probably won't put him up, but, I mean, that's the only guy. I probably just hurt his chances by suggesting him, actually, because of the way the Democrats think. You probably ruined his chances by suggesting him. You probably ruined his chances, but I think he'll be fine. All right. All the wrong moves. It's out now. And also, you're recommending, what is the name of the Lindsey Graham movie? Oh, my God. It's called Closetocracy. Closetocracy. Okay. You know, you're in the bureaucracy, but you're a closeted person. You just got to watch the movie, because this is the pink mafia. The GOP is run by these people, you know? Remember, Grindr goes through the roof. Trump said he wanted to start a dating app, because they already have one. It's called Grindr. I mean, come on, guys. Which, doesn't it go through the roof when the RNC is in town? Yeah, of course. Of course. It's always great to be on with you, though. Thank you for the flattery on the presidency. I'll tell my wife. I'll tell my wife. I'll tell my wife, so she'll be ready to sharpen her knife to castrate me. Yeah. I mean, to me, all the wrong moves felt like you were laying out your platform. Look, look, let's see. We have a very broad conversation coming over the next two years. And thank you. Well, I'm definitely going to watch The Closetocracy, and I really recommend Anthony's book. It's a sort of compressed history. Of the last 50 years of America. And to me, it read very much like a platform, a campaign platform. He's getting ready to run. I suspect he's trying to figure out where does he run from. But that's what it felt like to me when I read it. Anyway, write and let us know. Would you vote for Anthony Scaramucci were he to run? Would he be a good vice president for someone like Gavin Newsom, who he seems to think is really the only candidate or narcissist, as he puts it? That could actually go the whole way. Summary:

The transcription blends technology, politics, and personal commentary. Anthropic encourages public inquiry into AI, positioning hard questions as a path to progress.
