So if you're injured, you scratch, your cut, the stuff that happens to all of us, you know what to do. Justin, welcome to the show. Thanks for having me. It's been 20 years in the hospital working on different products. And you came out with something that mimics what the body does. What is it? The active ingredient in our product is called hyperchloros acid. And so hyperchloros acid, the easiest way that I usually explain is if you get cuts, great burn, any type of skin damage, your body's natural immune response is to send white blood cells to that injury. Inside the white blood cells is a molecule called hyperchloros acid. So we're able to replicate that immune response so you can apply topically the same way that your body works internally. And that's doing three major things. It works as a really powerful antimicrobial. It helps reduce that inflammatory response from that injury and it helps speed up the natural healing process. So what's wrong with Neosporin and stuff like that? So with like a Neosporin, one, there are synthetic antibiotics. It has a high rate of allergic reactions. So you get up to 20% of people who have some sort of allergic reaction with the efficacy on it. It just isn't that great. So with hyperchloros, you get all that antimicrobial power. You're able to help facilitate the healing process, but no synthetic antibiotics. Okay, so no antibiotics and I guess you don't get accelerated healing either, right? How do we discover hyperchloros acid? So it's been around for a long time. It's actually scientists figured out how to replicate the molecule in the early 1900s. The problem was the shelf life on it, the stability of it was really tough to get. And so you could get it, make it bedside in hospitals, but in terms of having something that you could use at home, that technology just wasn't there yet. It was just recently that we figured out how to stabilize it, get it into a very specific part, it's per million in pH level. And so that you have efficacy in a safe product for two years in a shelf stable bottle. Okay, so this is a new way to get it. And this is exactly what they're using in OR theaters right now, but now we can buy that home. It is. So about 10 years ago, I helped launch it into the hospital side of things. That's kind of cool. I like it when we don't lock the best stuff up behind permission slips and white love codes for some reason. I like freedom. It's weird. Well, and this one's so unique that it's a it's such a powerful molecule, but it has the same safety profile as saline solutions. So no real risk of adverse events, certain reactions, and no allergic reactions. So it has that medical grade power to it, but again, with a really good safety profile. Is it kind of like as you're in proxied? Can you just pour that on versus H O C L? Good question. So let's take a hydrodynamic proxied. You're going to be killing that bacteria when you put it on the wound, but the problem is you're just nuking the wound. So you're also killing all of the healthy growth factors. And it will actually it can stall out healing when you're doing that. So you're you're killing the bacteria with hyperchlorous acid. You're not killing any of those healthy growth factors. So where biofilms may be present, people tend to find uses for hyperchlorous. In the hospital, do people have a chloros acid like in the sinuses for biofilms? You've gotten some off label use, sure. And that way, you know where you get it used a lot is in chronic wound care centers where. Okay. So if you have somebody who has poor vascularity and that wound won't heal and that's sitting and you have a chronic wound, the bacteria will become colonized on that and create a biofilm and hyperchlorous can actually disrupt that biofilm and go attack that plentonic bacteria. Wow. Okay. This is actually kind of cool. And guys, I want to share something with you. Anyone who sells anything that's approved by an approver agency, usually we'll say especially in medicine, there's it's approved for this. I know one company that's approved for wrinkles and their device in research, they put it over the hearts of people in the heart transplant list. And all of the people using this device didn't need a heart transplant, but they can't say that because they're not approved for that. So what your job is is to find your doctors willing to talk about off label use, which a doctor can talk about, but the people who make it can't talk about because we've designed a system to prevent progress in health. You're going to see hundreds of peer reviewed journal articles on the molecule on mechanism of action. And I think when you can understand what's so cool about it is it's neat to your immune system. So we're replicating something that you're you're harnessing that kind of power of your body. And so yeah, applications are numerous. It's tough not to sell all the things that it does because it works on so many different skin issues, so many different health issues, but I think if you do. do the research if you read about the molecule, if you can understand it, then you can kind of see all the different applications. - That's cool. I actually really appreciate that. And there are hundreds of things like this out there, we're going, "Wow, I didn't know it did that. One of my favorites, coffee. I have my tanger coffee here." And if you're a researcher coffee in any medical condition you can think of, you might find some interesting stuff, but I would never actually tell you that coffee cures anything even though it does, because I'm not allowed to. So you'd have to decide it cures things, and I can tell you, it makes it feel dangerously good. But since I'm a biohacker, I could use red infrared light, things like that on top of it. Now, is active skin repair by itself going to speed healing? Just like for, I don't know, skin abrasion or something. It should, yes. It should actually speed up the time to heal. And no one can tell me what it was. So I went to my friend AI. And I would say chat GPT, but they've apparently gotten really dumb. It's not this, it's that. And I'm like, no, it's dumb. So I went to another AI, I like Claude now. Way better. And I went to Claude and it said, "Oh, well, here's the five things doctors will say to us." And I literally said, "Here's the region I was, here's a photo of the wound." You actually were exposed to an acid forming beetle that probably landed on your arm and caused skin irritation, like classic thing where I'd want to use active skin repair. So I had this mystery thing, but that freaking beetle landed right on my caffeine. I have all this others again. In fact, I have like a half a beach towel of extra skin for when I was fat. No, it couldn't land on any of that just on my caffeine tattoo. So I'm a little traumatized by that. But sometimes wounds won't heal for months. Like they just linger. What's going on with that? - So it can be a lot of issues. A lot of times, that can be a sign of reduced vascularity too. Your body's not sending those white blood cells down to that injury at the same way that it previously was able to. So you get a lot of that. It could be bacteria colonization on that, which is stalling out the healing. So there can be multiple factors. - Got it. And HLCL works for what reason? - Well, the first thing is you want to make sure that that wound is clean and free of bacteria, right? - 'Cause that's primary thing. - It's not oxygenating or anything. - Right. Because if you have that bacterial colonization, it's gonna stall out that healing. Your body's working to fight off that bacteria and not working to heal. So getting that wound clean and that's really hyperclerus, that's what hyperclerus is doing in our body and our white blood cells is helping fight off those foreign pathogens. So applying it topically is gonna take care of step one, right? And really help facilitate that natural healing process. - Why would HLCL work on X-Men and rosacea? These aren't bacterial infections of the skin. - So it's not gonna work to stop X-Men obviously, but where it really helps with is on the flare-ups. And when you're dealing with the skin issues that come from X-Men, these chronic skin diseases, that's where hyperclerus really comes in and it's helping in two big ways. There's a lot of time, again, there's some bacterial issues probably going on with the skin issue from X-Men with the flare-up. But there's also an inflammatory response that your body has and so it's helping from both of those areas. - Okay, that makes a lot of sense. So we could, if you look in something like rosacea, rosacea is interesting because there's an autoimmune component to it and so people reduce systemic inflammation and the rosacea gets better and you can treat it topically. But the strange thing is, Ivermectin cream is having incredible results on that. So if I had rosacea going on right now, I'd be doing Ivermectin cream and I'd be doing active skin repair so you're doing like a long term thing and a short term thing. And why Ivermectin works, it's not the evil parasite worms in your skin that would be kind of gross and you'd probably see them on a microscope. But there's many other pathways that Ivermectin will hit that can be viral and other things and the fact that it works and there's people talking about that. I find that interesting and people with rosacea really hate it. I used to have substantial problems with that like in my late teens or early 20s, but it seems to go away with me. - Makes perfect sense, yeah. It makes a lot of sense. And a lot of times, especially with these more complex, I mean, to get into rosacea or exmother, there's a lot of underlying issues that could be causing that, right? But when you're just dealing with the flare-ups and stuff like that and some of the skin issues from it, a lot of times it is a multi-modality approach that you really want to use. And hyperchlorous, I'm a little biased, but I think it's one of those that fits in and plays really well with all the other kind of modalities that might be working too. - Beautiful. I want to say that I don't like the skin care industry because it's not regulated, except when you regulate things, they get really expensive and you can't do things that work and it's kind of dumb. So I like skin care because it's not regulated, but it also means that people do dumb things and sometimes they may claim so they may regret later because they're not real. I've seen companies putting HLCL and fragrances and a bunch of other stuff in products. What's wrong with that? - I share your same issue. It's the regulation is terrible to have to deal with. In some areas, I do think it's important to know what you're putting on your skin is safe and efficacious, especially if you're using it in an open skin area where you could get an infection. You want to know what you're putting on it. The cosmetic, so hyperchlorous has become a really busy ingredient it got caught on as a facial spray because it works well. It kills piacni, right? So it works really well. It's a facial spray for acne, but also kind of post workout. So you watched all these kind of brands come to market, but they came through that cosmetic route. So it really had no regulation around it. And then they're getting it from contract manufacturers who don't really understand the science. They just know how to replicate the molecule. They don't know how to stabilize it, which that's the most important part is to be able to get that good stabilization formulae. So what you get is like anybody who mixes it with a recipe, the molecule is so finicky and it has to be in the right bottle. It has to be in the right ratio. And all these things, so far nobody's been able to recipe hyperchlorous acid with another ingredient. And so whenever I see that, we bring it back to our research facility and we test it. And it's crazy. There are always no active hyperchlorous in these models. It's just not even getting any active ingredient. The other problem is sometimes people are able to produce it. It comes off the shelf first month or production line first month. It looks great. It's got the right parts per million. It's got the right pH. But then in three, four months, that pH has dropped fast where you'd want it to be. Like at a five pH, it's down to a four so it can actually be irritating. The hyperchlorous is almost nonexistent. So you just get this wide-ranging kind of quality on cosmetic that's just a little tougher to know what you're putting on. - Okay, I would say if it's mixing with other stuff, it's probably not gonna work. - We keep bringing it back. I keep kind of hoping that somebody figures is that we keep trying too. We have a whole research and development team and we're always looking at new ways. But it is incredibly just to change models I've been going through a two-year stability testing process. So in, I always thought it's like you can't, so it's, everybody goes, why don't you do a one-ounce model? Why can't because of the plastic to liquid ratio destabilizes the molecule and the shelf life goes away? So it's just one of those really frustrating molecules that unfortunately is really tough to stabilize and kind of limits what you can kind of concoct in recipes. - And that's one of the reasons I want to have you on the show is there's a kind of integrity that comes where I want to make something that works, right? It's really easy to make something that you say works that doesn't actually work because you don't know what you're doing. Example there in the past, I made the most expensive MCT oil on the planet back when I was involved with bullet proof and I had nothing to do with bullet proof anymore. I don't have any evidence that they're following the standards that were there when I was there thus danger coffee. But when I was there, I insisted on some called C8 MCT and it's much more expensive than all the other MCTs because it works better. And then on it comes along. And like, oh, we've got our, you know, manly MCT. And they use the cheapest forms of MCT, including the one that doesn't do anything that's beneficial. So now I've got a new possible consumer. They've got the expensive Dave MCT and they've got the cheap omit MCT. And like, well, the omit stuff is cheaper and then they pour it in their coffee and then they, well, shit their pants because MCTs will do that if you don't know what you're doing. And I didn't feel anything from it. Therefore, MCT doesn't work. And if they'd had just used the right one, they would have had the best day that they had in a long time. So it's the same thing. Oh, I tried HLCL to do it and work. Well, if it was mixing with some other crap, it's because you don't have the integrity in design and the stuff you just said about the bottles, I do this stuff all the time because if you have that, that obligation of care, it's almost like a fiduciary responsibility to someone's gonna use your products. So thanks for taking two years to find the right bottle. Because that makes it work. Well, we're still searching and we're, you know, we'd love to be able to put it on wipes and things of that nature. But it just, again, stabilization is, we talked before the show a little bit about how it can be used in hard surface. And that's a hyperchlorous acid gets used all the time as a hard surface disinfectant. And it worked really, really well. It's just the process to do that is way different. You can actually do that with generators and things of that nature. But what you don't know is, is it in the right pH, in the parts of the million, for countertops, great. But I would never be applying it to my skin. - Right. - And with our products, you can, I mean, you can apply it right over your eyes, ears, mouth. That's also how it makes a difference in like a synthetic antibiotic or toxic antiseptic is, you can put this insensitive areas that you never want to be putting toxic products on. - So you wouldn't want to put bleach in those surfaces or for a lot of, like the lungs, you wouldn't even want to use ozone. - Yep. - But you could use hyperchlorous, right? Okay. So it's one of those things that we all should know about in the world of biohacking because there's kind of two sides, maybe more than two, but there's two things that I think about. One is, okay, if I have an injury, what do I want to do? And the other one is, and that's maybe more traditional medicine, really. And the other one is, if I have a chronic condition, what I want to do. And I might want to go to the hospital for the first one, although I'm going to try not to. And for the second one, I want to avoid the hospital because they don't know anything about chronic conditions. And they're likely to say, well, here, have some opiate. And you're like, I wanted to know the root cause and turn it off. They just don't do that. So we should all know about hyperchlorous and active skin repair because it's been a medicine cabinet. - Well, and when you go more into the traditional route, let's take that chronic thing, the doctor doesn't have a lot of time with you. there. very influenced by pharma, right? And so they're probably more likely to just write a script and to some expensive pharmaceutical. I mean, it's tough as a brand like ours, we don't hire pharmaceutical reps obviously to go in and educate these doctors. And I think that really falls on that patient to go out there and have to do that research to find those alternatives. And hopefully they find us and it's a great molecule. But I think to the core of that is just to kind of dogmatically expect that to be fixed through that probably isn't always going to be the best path. You really have to do that research. To the point that the surgeon is an episode about that, Dr. Ali Sadraim, he changed his postoperative procedures based on what he saw from biohacking applied to wound care. And I don't have active skin repair in that just because I didn't know about it, or I would have added it to this act there. So you can do better than the standard of care. Because frankly, the standard of care is paranoid, fearful, and anxious. And it's not necessarily there to protect you. It's there to protect the insurance companies. Because it's just not in my best interest, even though that's in the flow chart, they taught you 20 years ago at medical school. And I'm not saying all doctors are that way. The ones that I work with, and there's tens of thousands of functional doctors, including many who listen to the show, utmost respect, was married to one for 17 years. It's just that we build systems that take away power from healers, just trying to make robot doctors. It's not cool. And you get some young arrogant doctors, or people with PhDs are like, I have a degree. I don't have clinical experience, but I will tell you what to do. And I call those guys the biolanes. And it's really funny. I'm the kind of cute. - Yeah. And I came from before I started active. I came from more of the hospital side. And it is just really, and I know you know this, it's so tough to change behavior in medicine. It takes years, if not decades, to really get people to change. And I think that's going to speed up a lot with AI. I think you're watching kind of a revolution of people taking on a lot of these health decisions and having access to a lot of the data and research for them to make their own decisions. But it's just, it's slow. I mean, it is slow. - It's really slow. And here's an example of how you could do this. Go to your favorite AI and say, hey, I'm looking at using active skin repair, and H O C L to do whatever it is you're trying to do with it. - Give me a take on that. And you're going to get an answer. And then go back in and say, act like a functional medicine practitioner, biohacker, and expert in physiology and explain why active skin repair might work in the conditions I would use it for. And you get an entirely different answer. And the one place where this won't work is Google. You guys have the most restricted, anti-alternative medicine thing I've ever seen. So you need to fix your AI because it is not true seeking. And I would say right now the two best for health, maybe three best would be Claude, Groc, and Proplexity. Because Proplexity has some new health oriented stuff and they don't run their own AI either, but using others. But those work really well. And it's kind of cool. - And I'm playing around with that a lot, especially, I mean, in anything I'm personally interested from a health perspective, even with doing it around hyperchlorism. What's so cool is they're going back and you can see the reference points that they're pulling from that, right? And so it's not just a hallucinization that they're coming this, it's like, oh, okay, I want to dig a little deeper into that. Here's that medical journal that's referencing how that would work there. And so it's been really cool to even figure out, there's articles that I didn't even know exist by going in and asking a lot of those kind of more complex questions to on how that molecule works. And then it can bring you all the way back to kind of the source material. - It's so cool. You could literally say, I'm interested in using hyperchlorists for this. Tell me all the pathways by which it might benefit me and order from most important to least important. And it'll do that. And for me as an author, I've written nine bestselling books. And when I look at the amount of time it would take to do a chapter. It would be six weeks of reading pub-med papers, diagramming, mitochondria, all this stuff, and just finding the papers. And now the research phase is effortless. And you can have it right a book for you, actually a lot of people do, but you can tell. And it reads like slime. And it's disrespectful to people who are reading the book. But if you do it to organize your research and help you organize how you're thinking about it, I can do so much more work either with a client at unlimited life or you even hear it 40 years as then. You know, I'm rewriting neurofeedback software right now. I guess the coolest thing ever. And what that means though is if you're saying, oh look, my baby has a rash or I just cut myself on a rock or whatever it is, you can go in and say, all right, I'm thinking about using active skin repair. Pros, cons, are there side effects, are there toxins, whatever else? And you're going to get an answer that's mostly right. But it's more right than you're going to get. I apologize to my doctors here. It's more right that you're going to get from most doctors. Simply because they haven't read the papers. And if they did read the papers, that means they didn't read some other papers because we can only hold so much in our heads. So I want an AI-powered doctor, like a real physician with a prescription pad who's also using AI and many of them are now. That's where I think the real power's unlocked because they're going to look at, I didn't hear about active skin repair. Let me check it out. I'm like, oh, this stuff looks legit. Okay, give that a try instead of me, I'll spoil it. - I think you're totally right. And I think it gets really interesting, especially when you're doing the molecule and getting an assigned tip. What I'm finding interesting from a product perspective is, okay, let's use active skin repair for an example. I want to use active skin repair on this type of issue. Can you tell me how it's used in, if it's right, what patients record? Other people have recommended for. They're also going in and taking a look at all the reviews out there. And Amazon's always one of those ones that if you get to like 5,000 reviews, it's pretty tough to be faking that. Either it works or it doesn't work. It actually is a great way to validate. And if you're looking for those, how was it used by these people? You can go into Amazon, you can search whatever that issue is and you can read all the reviews. But it's also, I mean, you're compiling thousands and thousands of people's experience with the product, which physicians just don't have that access, either too. So, and now AI is helping you synthesize that. And actually saying, actually, this is a very well recommended product for these types of issues. - It's so cool. - It's funny too, because you see the trolls and the haters and the skeptic saying, there's no double blind placebo controlled trial as if it's the only kind of evidence, but clinical evidence is the best evidence. Yet 5,000 doctors who say, you know, I noticed that my patients who do this get better. I'm gonna listen to them before I listen to, probably impossible to reproduce expensive study meant to market a drug. - Listen, I'd love to run. We're on a randomized controlled clinical trial with a large patient something. That's gonna be $50 million. It's just, I mean, that knocks a lot of us out. That's a really big investment. And so, yes, I think you're right. And I hope that kind of changes because you've limited access to just a few companies when you're doing that. And it will hopefully open up a whole bunch of different technologies that weren't available before. And also those companies have to be able to patent what they're doing too. And there's a lot of great stuff out there that you just can patent, right? And so, if the pharmaceutical company can't patent it for a seven to 10 year life, they're not gonna invest $50 to $100 million into a trial. - And not only that, they'll destroy whatever could compete that's off patent. That's what happened to GHB. You know about that? - No, I don't. - So GHB is known now as a party drug. And it can be used for that. Really interestingly, you could buy it at any body builder or vitamins store. Because it releases growth hormone and it just helps create profoundly good sleep. And we'd used it for decades. And the day that ambient came on the market, by, interesting, by press release, they added GHB to the list of scheduled substances. There was never any medical decision at all. Like, oh, this is a date rape drug, even though Rohitmanol is the one that evil people use for that kind of purpose. So they literally took out the biggest natural competitor to ambient and ambient trashes you. It's not a good thing. So it's fascinating. - Yeah, it's interesting how all this stuff happens behind the scenes and people don't know, unless, you know, the listen to the show, or many other similar people were just sharing this in the world of biohacking.
