Dr. Dave shares his five-year journey with microdosing psilocybin, which he credits for transforming his life from debilitating anxiety and depression to thriving at age 71. Despite trying conventional treatments—therapy, antidepressants, yoga, and diet—he only achieved 60% relief. Microdosing, he says, brought him closer to 100% well-being, improving both his mental and physical health, allowing him to hike mountains. He claims major platforms like YouTube, Apple, and Spotify have throttled his content due to psilocybin's illegal Schedule I status in the U.S., but he pivoted to a Patreon community for deeper engagement. There, he offers unrestricted discussions, including sourcing, for $12.50/month. He contrasts psilocybin's safety with alcohol and tobacco, which are legal but more harmful. Dr. Dave stresses that his mission is to help even one person, and he remains undeterred by platform restrictions, viewing the dedicated Patreon members as his true success. He invites listeners to join Patreon for life-changing support and recommends episodes by colleague Dr. Denise Morett.
Hey there, Dr. Dave, Mike Redoce, you, and this is a really important episode. I've got to share a bunch of things with you. I've been doing this for over five years now. Mike Redoce, for over five years, the podcast for a little less than that. I didn't start the podcast immediately, but a few months after I started Mike Redoce's magic mushrooms, I did start this podcast and I've got to tell you something. I've come to the conclusion that YouTube hates me. I've come to the conclusion that Apple hates me. Spotify hates me. Why? I don't know. I think they are very worried about this content, about psilocybin. Since psilocybin in the United States is still technically schedule one, which means there's no medical value whatsoever. And it's got high potential for abuse addiction, danger, things like that. Schedule one drug. So it occurs you to watch or listen all the way to the end, because I've got some very, very important information about microdosing psilocybin and changing your life. So yeah, I've been microdosing for a little over five years now. I started in case you're brand new to this channel. By the way, if you are brand new, welcome and I really appreciate you being here and make sure you subscribe, like, share, all the stuff you're supposed to do to help a channel and I'm going to share that with you. Why probably almost nothing can help my channel now, but that's okay. I'm totally fine with that and we're going to get into that surely. However, I do want to share with you that I started microdosing magic mushrooms because I had a problem and my problem was anxiety. And my secondary problem was depression. And I tried everything that the mainstream people tell you to do. You know, the legal stuff, the stuff that is supposed to work beautifully. Talk therapy, anti-depressants, yoga, meditation, getting outside in nature, eating a great diet, getting better sleep. Yeah, I tried everything and I tried it really well. I didn't just try it for a few days and give up. I tried all that stuff really, really well. But guess what? I was still anxious. It helped a little bit. I mean, my anxiety went down a little bit, especially with the anti-depressant because anti-depressants also work as an anti-exitie pharmaceuticals. Well, so yeah, my anxiety did go down. I'd say I might have been at about a 60 percent level. Something like that. But I don't know about you. I will not accept a 60 percent lifestyle. I will not accept being happy 60 percent on a 100 percent level. I will not accept that. Some people may. I hope you don't. I hope you listen or watch all the way through because I want your happiness. I want you to go to 100 percent. I want your anxiety to go as close to 0 percent as possible. And again, if you're trying a lot of the mainstream stuff that they tell you to do, you'll probably be at a 60 percent level at best, just like I was. Is that bad? For me, it was bad. I don't want that. I want 100. And here I am right now at, well, not the top of Mount, but on a mountain, living my lifestyle in Utah. And I'm telling you, there is almost no question in my mind that if you're serious about living your best life ever with no anxiety, no depression, and a very high happiness factor, still assignment could be your answer. Yeah, I was willing to take some risks. There are some risks involved because there are legal some places, especially in the United States. There are legal in some areas, or I should say decriminalize in some areas. But in most areas, they're not. So again, just for the sake of legality purposes, I encourage you. If you are going to use medicine such as this, try your best to do it in an area where it is decriminalized or legal, and you'll be much safer that way. However, I will tell you this, my health, my mental health, my physical health. And yes, everything is connected. So when my mental health started getting better, my physical health started getting better. I just turned 71, let two months ago, 71. And I'm out here hiking mountains. And I think without this psilocybin, I would have been possibly back like I was five years ago laying on my sofa every day in my living room, not even knowing if I could make plans and feeling horrible, not knowing if I could get even out for the day. And now here I am feeling much better in hiking mountains. Now again, you might not want to hike mountains, nor do you have to. But suppose there's some things you want to do in your life and your life's not done. Our lives are not done until we stop breathing, guys. And gals. Our lives are not finished until we take that final breath. And until we take that final breath, until I take that final breath, I'm going to be out doing the things that I want to do. And again, psilocybin have helped me get to that. How do you do it? That's actually beyond the scope of today's episode because I've done so many episodes, so many episodes that tell you exactly from start to finish how to dose magic mushrooms for maximum results. To change your life. I've talked about that. So go back and watch some of my past episodes. And also, I do encourage you to check out our Patreon channel because again, I've done so many episodes and I felt that. What can I do to take this show to the next level to help people that really want help? But let's face it, when your list needs to a podcast episode, there's only so much information you can get. If you have questions, it's very hard to ask a recording like me, like right now. It's very hard to ask a recording. Well, what do I do? What about this? And so that's why I set up this Patreon group a couple years ago. And I will tell you this, it's grown to be, I would say there's nothing else like it in the world. I guess we've got a group of people like mine people that share, help, guidance, information in a non-judge mental way. And so when I first started the Patreon, I had no idea what direction it would go in. No idea whatsoever. And to be honest, when I first started, there was a handful of people. And I didn't even know what to do with them. I did some posts, I did some this and some of that. But it wasn't really a lot going on. But fast forward two plus years, we've got ourselves a group of people from all over the world who are taking this very seriously, taking this, that they want to change their lives, they're taking it very seriously. And that's why they joined the group and it's $12.50 a month. And so again, if you're health, I think about what medical bills cost. If your mental health and physical health are not worth $12.50 per month, then I'm not so sure I can help you. I'm not so sure. And I'm not forcing anybody to get into the Patreon. And I've got some more information in a second. Again, it's important for me to share this with you because if I didn't share it with you, you would have no idea. So go into the show notes. There's a link to Patreon. Go into my website, microdoseu. It's microdose with a letter U. You tacked on the end of it. Microdoseu.com. There's always a link for Patreon. I encourage you to check it out at $12.50 a month. It will change your life. And as I said, there's nothing else like it on this planet. I swear to you. I've checked it all out. There's nothing else like it. So go rate the Patreon. Let me see you there. Now, getting back to my desire to help people all over the world to feel better every single day. I'm a little guy. I'm not famous. I'm not ultra wealthy. I'm just a regular guy. But five years ago, when I saw what psilocybin can do to my life and to change my life, I set out on a mission. And I said to myself back then, I said, "I'm going to start a little podcast and if I help one person, one person on this planet, change their life for the better than I'm good." You see, I don't have to do this for money. I don't have to do this to put food on my table. I'm a retired doctor. I'm a retired dentist. And although I'm not ultra wealthy, I'm okay financially. I don't need to be doing this. But it's very important for me to give back to not only a community. But to the entire world. Anybody, wherever they may be, depending on what their politics might be, depending on what type of government they're living under. It doesn't really matter because when you get down to it, human beings are human beings. And we all want to feel better every single day. So getting back to why does YouTube hate me? Why does Spotify hate me? Why does Apple Podcast hate me? Because they're afraid of this. I'm talking about, even though it's plant medicine, even though it's a very, very safe plant medicine, psilocybin. It's been used for tens of thousands of years by ancient human beings. Proven. It's safe. It's not addictive. You can't overdose on it. So why is it a schedule one drug? I have no idea. Other than back in the, what is it with them, early to mid-70s, when they had that war on drugs, they took like all these drugs. And they thought were unsafe, including cannabis. I mean, cannabis is extremely safe. It's really interesting how alcohol and tobacco are totally marketed, commercialized, over-the-counter. And those are two of the most dangerous drugs that I can think of. Actually, tobacco and alcohol. They will shorten your life. They will kill you. They're addictive. They'll destroy your life. Scylocybin, on the other hand, will not do that. I think probably the worst thing that can happen is if you take way too much. You're going to go on a pretty wild ride. It might be uncomfortable, but it's not going to damage you. It's not going to kill you. It's not going to harm you. It's not going to cause you to become an addict. It doesn't happen with psilocybin. Research it. If you don't believe me, just go talk to Chachy-P-T. Talk to the web brothers or whoever. You'll see that I'm telling the truth. It's safe. It is very safe. Now, going back to my show, why do they hate me? I don't know, but when I first started about close to five years ago, you can go back on, if you're watching me on YouTube, go back to see how many views my original YouTube videos got. They've got thousands each. Sometimes tens of thousands.
I think my first one, I'm not sure, I gotta go back and check this, but I think my very first video I ever did Telling the world that I've changed my life through psilocybin. It was the introductory video the very first one I think that's gotten I'm not sure but I think it's got way over a hundred a couple hundred a few hundred thousand views Maybe I'm not sure something like that at least over a hundred thousand. I know that But here's the problem since then Apple Spotify I think they've discovered that people are talking about these illegal substances And they they kind of like throttled down my channel. So now it's very common I put out a video or I put an audio when I get not nearly as many views or listens or downloads as I used to and A lot of people say what they've you should be very upset with that. You know your channel is not doing well I say the opposite I say my channel whether or again whether you're watching or listening has never been better Because it's not about the quantity because I could have a hundred thousand views on a video But nobody takes the next step nobody does anything people watch it. They say oh that was good. Yeah, that was good next But I'd rather have a Smaller handful of people that are engaged and truly want to change their lives as is evidence is how many of you have come over to my Patreon group a lot have a lot so again It doesn't you know YouTube can try to screw me as much as they want and they are trying every single day They're trying to screw me. They hate me Apple can try to screw me Spotify can try to screw me. It's it's okay because again I've got like a little bit of a back door situation where I say okay. I'm not getting as many People coming through those channels as used to again. It used to be hundreds of thousands I'm not getting as many and a lot of people in my situation would just cry They say I'm a failure this didn't work and they quit But no, I figured out a way to reach more people on a better level and talk about things that that I Probably couldn't talk about on the podcast So it's actually kind of a gift from the skies. I'm looking up here at the skies probably a gift from heaven YouTube Spotify and Apple don't realize that they want me to fail But I'm not gonna fail because I have you and again getting back to my original statement when I first started if I have one person that I helped I'm good, but guess what over the years I've had so many more than one. It's I can't count anymore I can't count the number of people that I've helped that I've communicated with because human beings want to feel better Every day and I've got the answer and Apple and Spotify and YouTube can try their best to shut me down and YouTube did shut me down last year for like a day or two They shut this channel down totally, but I came back. I gave them and I gave them a Valid reason why my channel should continue But I don't know tomorrow or the next day or the next month they all might shut me down I have no idea that's why I ask you to join me on platform That's a little bit of a higher level and nobody's shutting us down there and we talk freely and yes I'm able to talk there about where to get this medicine one of the most commonly asked questions Dr. Dave where can I get these mushrooms? Well as you know, I don't talk about that on the show But we do talk about it only on Patreon so again I know that some people out there think that's I'd sound like a broken record that's all I talk about these days It's only because that's where most of the information is coming from so if somebody's really serious like you if you're really serious about changing your life That's where the information comes out of well, Dr. Dave. Why isn't it free? Well because it calls me a lot to keep these platforms going and I just Asked people that joined patreon to just help the channel out a tiny bit and it comes back to you a Thousand times over a thousand times over in your life your health your happiness and so much more So that's what I wanted to share with you. They can try their best to shut me down all day long. I don't care I'm helping you and that's all I really care about I'm not out there for the numbers I'm not out there to become famous again. I'm probably no different than you are But maybe I'm a little bit ahead on the timeline of when I started this how much I learned how much I figured out how much I just changed my life, but you can get there. I promise you you can get there. We're all Looking to feel better and I'm so glad you're with me today. I really appreciate you. I'll see you over on patreon I remember link is in the show notes my website. I put out a brand new episode every Wednesday I try to lately there've been some Wednesdays that I've actually struggled with this and and found it a little difficult to get an episode out So in case there's a Wednesday that's missing. I don't anticipate but it's possible remember my good friend and colleague Dr. Denise Morett She's a doctor of psychology whose expertise in plant medicine is Basically second to none in my opinion She puts an episode out on this same child here every Sunday or roughly roughly around every Sunday once a week around every Sunday her episodes are also I Suggest you check everything out check out the back how low we've got so many things until we get shut down And I will tell YouTube and Spotify and Apple if they ever do shut me down they can Don't let the door hit them on the way out because again, I just want to help people and I'll do it any way I can I'll find another way to do it if they shut me down, but I don't think they're gonna shut me down They're just they're just definitely throttling me down quite a bit, but that's okay I've got you and that's all that matters. I'll see you in the next episode. I'll see you on patreon Dr. Dave And remember one more thing please. This is the most important thing. You are really valuable You matter a lot to me and you matter a lot to everyone here at microdoze you so we'll talk to you soon
