In this episode of “Transform Your Life from the Inside Out,” Jim Fortin explores the provocative idea that you are not your body. He argues that the body is just a container for your true self—consciousness, life force, or awareness. Every limitation you experience, from health issues to financial struggles, arises from identifying with the body. By shifting your identity to consciousness itself, you transcend those limitations. Fortin emphasizes that deep change comes from awareness, not effort, and poses key questions like “Who told you that you are a body?” and “If you are not your body, where are you?” to prompt new thinking. He critiques societal, cultural, and familial brainwashing that conditions us to believe we are merely physical beings. Using examples like smokers identifying as smokers or people fearing hereditary diseases, he illustrates how identity shapes reality. Fortin introduces a free brainwashing audit at gymforton.com/brainwashed to help listeners recognize their conditioning. The episode serves as an introduction to a broader exploration in upcoming episodes and a program called “Brainwashed,” aimed at helping listeners identify as source or divine mind. Ultimately, Fortin encourages listeners to ponder these concepts deeply, as they can dramatically transform their lives by freeing them from the limitations of body-based identity.
You're listening to the Transform Your Life from the Inside Out podcast. This episode is titled, "Who Told You That You Are A Body?" Ponder that. Who told you that you are a body? We use the body as the center of our universe. The body basically is our point of reference. But what if you are not the body? Consider this. You think about all processes and all limitations about yourself. Every limitation that you think you have has one reference point. And that reference point, again, is the identification with the body. And when you get that, live changes dramatically. So in this episode, we're going to start talking. And we're going to start exploring the truth. And the truth is, even though you have been brainwashed in condition to believe, the truth is you are not your body. Your body is simply your container. And when you fully get this and not just understand it, but you know it, and when you know it, you live it, everything in your life changes dramatically. Keep listening. Hi, I'm Jim Fortin and you're about to start transforming your life from the Inside Out with this podcast. I'm widely considered a leader in subconscious transformation and I've coached super achievers all around the world for over 25 years. Here, you're going to find no raw, raw motivation and no hype because this podcast is a combination of brain science, transformational psychology, and ancient wisdom all rolled into one to take your life to levels you've never thought possible. If you're wanting a lot more in life, to feel better, to heal, to have peace of mind, to feel powerful in a life and to bring more abundance and prosperity into your life, then this podcast is for you because you're going to start learning how to master your mind and evolve your consciousness. And when you do that, anything you want then becomes possible for you. I'm glad you're here. Okay, so question for you. How do you know that you are a body? Think about the way that I ask that question. I'm going to ask you a lot of deliberate questions in this episode and up and coming episodes. If you spend any time pondering, assimilating, marinating on some of these questions, you'll start to see life in a different way. So basically, my intention for this particular episode, and as I said, all upcoming episodes, is to get you to start thinking in a new way because when you think in a new way, you'll start to experience your life in a new way. I just did a call a bit ago, a training call, a coaching call, and the Soul Forge group. Someone was asking me about change, how to change. Well, notice this, when we try to change, and you're listening to this podcast because you want to create change, when we try to change, all focus is on the change, which keeps us trapped in the identity that we have not changed. Think about that. When you're trying to change, all of your focus is on I'm a point A, but I want to go to point B, and all of your attention is actually on point A, which keeps you in the identity of point A. So change is not about doing something. Change, true, deep level change is about awareness. Now in this episode also, this can be a very deep concept. I'll break it down for you as simply as I possibly can. And my objective is not to really overload you, but to ask you a couple of simple questions that are time together to start creating a new awareness. Because when you start thinking about things in a new way, in that moment, you start creating a new awareness. So first, your body is not your body. What you think is your body is really only your assumptions about what you think your body is. Pound that for a moment. Even though you would have it the body to a large degree, what you think your body is and who you think you are is based upon the assumptions of what you think your body is. And then you would identify with the body and then you would identify as that is me. But you know what? Those are all 3D assumptions. So the question is where did they come from? At all this being said, where did they come from? What assumptions did society, medicine, people, culture, the world that we live in? What assumptions did society in the world? And as I said, you know, people and cultures, what did they teach you about your body? When I asked that question, notice what you automatically did. You automatically started focusing on your body. What you think your body is, who you think your body is because you think you are your body, but you also go to things like, okay, my body is healthy, my body has mobility, my body can feel, my body can experience. But notice what I said, this whole premise here is that when I even mentioned body, you make it all about the mechanical body, not even recognizing that you are the awareness inside the mechanical body. You would identify as the body, which is what we learn to do. And we all do that, I did it for many years. You would identify as, my name is Jim or Susan or Bob or whoever, you would identify as the body and because you would identify as the body, you would identify as human. And when you would identify as human, every single limitation that humans identify with, you now own those limitations. You know, a simple way to explain this is about identifying with limitations in the body. Let's say that someone has the understanding, the awareness and the assumption that x, y, z runs in their family. It can be cancer, it can be whatever. And people will say, you know what? x, y, z runs in my family. And because x, y, z runs in my family, I am now prone to experiencing that, they're making an assumption. And in that assumption, they are automatically identifying as somebody who will contract whatever that x, y, z is, the cancer or whatever. So then what people do is they focus on the body. And I've seen many people do this. I don't know the whole story. So I can't speak educatedly on it or I don't have any education about it. But I remember somewhere where Angelina Jolie, I think she had a double mastectomy. And I don't know why. I don't know if it was because cancer ran in her family. But I remember reading where she said that she wanted to prevent that from happening, meaning having cancer. Now notice what she was doing. But she's no different than most other people because we generally always focus on the body because we identify as the body. And we think the body is us. But what she did is she was focusing only on the body. And she was living from the assumption that the body that she thinks is herself. She was living from the assumption that this body that I think is me will contract cancer or whatever it is. But what I want to share with you is this. Realize this. Your body is only a point of reference that you think is you. I'll say it again. Your body is not you. Your body is the container in which the life force, the soul, the awareness of you lives. Ponder that. Your body is the container in which you live. So think back to what I said earlier. The very first question was is who told you that or who taught you that you're a body. And when you get this, what I just said, when you get that you are not the body, your body is the container that other people have taught you as you, but it's not you. It's the container. When you get this, you automatically stop living by the limitations of the body. We talk about you here. I use that word a lot. Question for you. When did you become you? Ponder that one. If you're not your body, where are you? I'll say that again. If you are not your body.
Where are you? That's a really pivotal question that I ask you and it's not really philosophical, but it's not ontological, it's really intended to create more awareness for you. The question again the third time if you are not your body Where are you? Because see we think we are housed in the body and the bodies are container But where are you and that's something that I really want to get you guys to start thinking about? Another question here is how do you even know that you? notice the operative word How do you know that you are a body? And the first place that you go here is that you are already going to okay? Well when you say you Jim you mean me the body and then Jim you're asking me How do I know that me the body is actually my body or a body? Now that's a bit you know Convoluted and the way that I explain this is a very complex Concept I'm trying to make really easy for you guys and we'll we'll dig into this in terror apart some more But I think something in my crazy clarity for you is this Do you identify as the body Or do you identify as a life? Now we all think that we have life, but I'll ask again Do you identify as the body or do you identify as life? That's a big point right there because if you identify with the body that has I mentioned earlier Every limitation the body has becomes your limitation But if you identify as life then guess what? There are no limitations So hopefully you see this subtleness of that And I want to go back here and cover something a little more thoroughly or at least mention this point is Every single problem that you have with your body whether be arthritis Maybe a physical ailment maybe an illness every single Challenge that you have with your body is because you identify as the body and the body identifies as a body that has that illness I want to stop this episode for just one moment lately You've heard me talk about how brainwashed we are society politics religion culture family and the media do that to us Let me ask you this simple question. What if what if every fear sickness limitation anger jealousy loneliness and lack of money is not you but it's all of your brainwashing You might not believe that yet, but it is do you want to discover just how brainwashed you actually are and how it affects you Even if you think you were not brainwashed go to gymforton.com/brainwashed gymforton.com/brainwashed take the ten question audit It's free to do and you'll discover just how brainwashed you have become by society Just to be upfront to take the audit you have to opt in for the wait list for the upcoming brainwash program No worries and no obligation but opt in anyway and take the audit You may be shocked to discover just how brainwashed you have become and here is the kicker even thinking that you are air quote Just a human is brainwashing that subjects you to all the limitations of being human You are so much more and you're going to discover that in the brainwash program starting in August again Go to gymforton.com/brainwashed and take the audit you'll be glad you did okay back to the episode Let's say that you're completely healthy Well, notice this in that moment you do not identify as someone that has cancer in the body and Then goes back to the point that I'm trying to make here and trying to get this ball across the plate Hopefully I'm making some sense here, but people that have let's say cancer Notice what they do they constantly identify as I am sick or I have blank But notice this notice that whole phrase I am sick or I have blank Now again, I ask you are you the body or are you the life and when people say I have blank meaning I am whatever cancer or arthritis or whatever They are identifying as the body But you are not the body you are the life That isn't happening the body You know life doesn't need the body think about that life does not need the body Your body needs life because without life your body would be a dead bag of skin So if life exists the part from your body Then why do you which is a point I've been trying to get to if life exists apart from your body Then why do you identify as the body and then call that life? Now repeating a lot in this episode. I'll say it again if your life exists apart from your body Then why do you identify as the body and then say that is your life? It's simply an identification So I said this a bit earlier the most important thing we can identify with is identify as I am Awareness I Am consciousness I am life Now that might seem a bit nebulous at this point But whatever we do in life or be in life or create in life is all the result of the identity And when we identify as the body as I said earlier then we identify with all the limitations of the body and So even though this might sound like okay, Jim You know what kind of metaphysical mumbo jumbo is this or this is hoke or whatever When we raise your level your awareness of identification all these things that consume your daily energy all of your fears all of your worries All of your frustrations all your illness all these things They don't exist anymore They don't exist because you don't identify with them and I said that a bit ago I'll say it again and let this sink in Every single thing you have in your life is because you identify with that thing I Didn't buy any cigarettes today Why? Because I'm not a smoker Why am I not a smoker because I don't identify as a smoker Smokers identify as a smoker therefore they do the behavior and they have the entire reality of being a smoker Now I want to segue a little further We think that matter Meaning let's say your mother, okay before you were born We think that matter is the cause of your body But actually Matter is the appearance of consciousness Because all matter first comes from consciousness Because there has to be consciousness to create the matter So think about that the cause of your body your body is the effect The cause we live in a cause in effect universe the cause of your body is Consciousness and if the cause of your body is consciousness you were not the body you were Consciousness think about that you were not the body you were consciousness and consciousness is life So another question for you here If you were not the body Where are you? Are you inside the body? Are you outside the body? Do you live inside the body? Let me take that a little further and this will help you create some concretization here a better understanding Where is the you Inside the body Sit with that where is the you inside the body? Notice how crazy this is when I ask the question in that way because we think okay this container this is me This is my body yes, but where where in the body are you? Where exactly are you are you in the brain? Are you in the heart? Are you in the liver? Are you in the big toe? Where? Where are you in the body? You're not Because the body is an instrument You are Consciousness You're not confined to a physical space. You're not confined to a physical limitation You're not confined to a container And this is how people Shaman's Sorcers this is how they and you do it every now without even recognizing it This is how people travel in dream time, astral travel, projection, all these kind of things remote viewing Because they're not limited by the constraints and they don't identify with the body Your body is simply the means the vehicle By which life expresses itself I'm being repetitive in this episode. I'll say it again
Your body, whatever you call it, or whatever you think it is, Oscar or Jim or Susan or Betty, your body is not you, it is simply the vehicle, the means through which you, which is life, expresses itself. And when you started identifying his life consciousness, the body. And when I say the body, all the trappings of the body, and all the identity of the body, the money, the health, the relationships, the height, the weight, all these kind of things, when you stop identifying as the body, and you identify as life consciousness, all these limitations of the body, they start to fall away. Now, somebody was asking me earlier on a call that I did today. I'm sharing this with you, and for many of you, this is probably the first time you've heard anything like this. And it's not just a matter of hearing it. Many times we're like, oh, okay, well, that's insightful or it makes sense or wow, I didn't think about that. But it's also a matter of conditioning. Because you became who you are, even identifying with the body through conditioning. You became who you are identifying with the body and thinking you are the body through cultural brainwashing, through your parents teaching you that, science teaching you that, but you're not that, that is a container. So as I said earlier, here's kind of the bigger takeaway, I would like you to just the ponder for right now. Every single limitation you have is because of one thing. Now, this can be about money, it can be about anything. Every single limitation you have is because of this one thing, and this one thing is identification as the body. So let's say that you wanna travel to Europe and you're like, okay, I'm counting, I'm looking at my bank account, I don't have the money. Well, notice in that moment, you're identifying with the entire human experience with the body and all this identification says, you ain't got the money and you're not going to go to Europe. But what if you identified as consciousness as universal mind, as are you ready this word, God, life force, then what limitations would prevent you from going to Europe? None. No, I know that I can say this easily, but it's also again, it's not a matter of you just tearing it and going boom, okay, I get it. It's a matter of conditioning. So all I want to do in this episode is to crack open the egg a little bit and get you to start thinking. So let's go all the way back to the beginning of the episode. And if this is the only thing you take from this episode, take this and this is a rabbit hole. So please explore it. Who or what taught you that you are a body? Because whoever or whatever told you or taught you that you are a body, you bought into that and the second you bought into that as a child, because that's how we're conditioned, you didn't know any differently and you started operating completely as a human body, human identification first. And in the upcoming episodes, at a new program I have coming called Brainwashed, we have to start transcending any identity as the body and all the trappings of the body. And we have to start identifying as source, divine mind, the ultimate power in the universe and perhaps even God. Okay, we're gonna keep talking about this in upcoming episodes. And for now, if you found value here, please share the episode. If you would as well go over to iTunes and let me a five star review anything less than that will not help me and that will help me reach more people. Thank you for listening and I'll catch you over on another episode. Bye bye.
