Brandon Walker, host of the College Football Show, discusses key trends and team dynamics in the 2024 college football season. He highlights a partnership with Hertz, where his dog Peter becomes a featured pick-maker, blending humor with marketing. Walker criticizes the AP Poll as outdated, biased, and influenced by self-serving voters, arguing it undermines fair team evaluation. His top 25 rankings feature Texas, Georgia, and Miami as clear playoff contenders, while Ohio State, Indiana, and Alabama are viewed as close, though uncertain. He identifies several programs—like Arkansas, Penn State, and the Colorado Golden Bears—as candidates for coaching changes due to poor performance or lack of progress. The episode also explores the growing unpredictability of conference standings, especially in the SEC and Big 12, where multiple teams are seen as competitive. Walker emphasizes the need for a more objective, data-driven ranking system to replace the current AP Poll. Throughout, the show balances analysis with fan interaction, including voicemail segments that reflect public sentiment, such as criticism of coaching decisions and team performance. Promotional content is integrated, including partnerships with Hertz, DraftKings, and wellness brands, while maintaining a focus on the sport’s evolving landscape and the emotional stakes for fans.

Good to see everybody. Can you hear me good? Can I go thumbs up Liam? Everybody good out there? I changed my settings right there at the end. I don't know. I didn't realize. Huh? I look so tiny. You look tiny. All right. Get back off of me. Get back on me. I got to do something. So it is a new helmet day here on the show. And we've got we've got three, three new helmets. Eventually, I just want this entire thing to be helmets behind me. I got about 12 now. But anyway. Heisman Trophy, Ron Dane signature, 1999. That says Ron Dane 99 Heisman. Right there. Signed Ron Dane forgot to bring the scissors down to cut that off. I'm going to make a new deal with Arkansas fans. I've got an Arkansas helmet here. Not sure why it looks so tiny. I've got an Arkansas helmet and I will not move it until the razorbacks win a game in the SEC. And I will not move it and I will not dust it. That is what I'm going to do. It's going to sit there until the razorbacks win a game. And they're right here. I've got the Mississippi State interlocking helmet. Mississippi State hooked us up this weekend and gave me an interlocking helmet. Still have Iowa State. Still have Minnesota back there hiding. Still have Iowa State right here. I got a couple more on floor. UTSA cycle back in. So with the Albany Greatains. Hello. How's everybody doing? It's a Monday night. We are doing the thing talking about college football or back. We're only going to do or I'm only going to do that one road trip a year. I don't like doing the road games. I don't like having different backgrounds. I don't like doing any of that. So I like going to the games and hopefully winning and we didn't, but anyway, Liam. Hey. Hey, Brandon back from stark back from stark Vegas. What do you think? Well, do I think it's Chicago? It's not as cool as stark Vegas in my right play. Uh, man, I liked it there a lot. Yeah, that was good. It was a real good weekend. It's a shame we we lost the way we did and we keep losing the way we do when I go down there because I just want to spotlight how incredible sorrow is the last 20 years has come so far. So the restaurants, the bars, the cotton district, everything is amazing. Uh, we got a lot got a lot tonight and I'm going to dive right into it. We've got. How many playoff teams are you willing to live to lock in right now? I haven't prepped Liam for this. I just wanted to kind of talk to him about it. I've got buyers remorse for new coaches. I've got the SEC conveyor belt. We're going to have to my top 25 voicemails, a draft of our games this week and then 15 minutes with Eric Morris Eric Morris Oklahoma States coach. As soon as Liam figures out his camera situation because he is absolutely going through it. What do you got there Liam? I just look tiny, dude. I just look. I looked like Ebo. No offense. Ebo. I'm sorry. I know you're watching. I look like a little guy. Why would he take no offense that you calling him tiny for no reason? Let's move along. That's now a good segment too short. Wow. Okay. We're really firing off the hip here early. So we've got all those things. And then we've got I'm going to start right now as we sit here on October 5th. I was thinking about this. How many playoff teams are you willing to lock in? How many playoff teams are you willing to say right now? I can say without a shadow of a doubt. They are in the playoff. And I think it's just two. But we might have a play in game this weekend with Alabama Georgia. Looking at Alabama Georgia schedule later on. Camera hub just came up. Looking at Alabama and Georgia schedule later on. Alabama's is is pretty weak. They got LSU and they got not a whole lot else. Now Georgia has a little bit more on the bone. They got Ole Miss. They got Florida. Got a couple of other things. But the winner of that game is going to play off. So right now. I believe the two that you can lock in. Are you can lock in Notre Dame to the playoff and you can lock in Miami to the playoff. Now Miami. A little trickier because they do have a conference championship game. Notre Dame's two chicken shit to join the conference. We all know that. But there's no more than one loss on either their regular season schedules. Miami could only lose. I think to Notre Dame. And Notre Dame. I think it only lose to Miami. No disrespect to BYU. I just think Notre Dame's probably going to handle business out there. BYU wins. Changes the entire conversation. But as of right now. I'm willing to lock in Notre Dame as a playoff team. Miami as a playoff team with Alabama Georgia playing for a playoff spot. Basically this weekend. There are other teams that are close. You know Ohio State. They already have the one loss. They still have Indiana on the road and Oregon. It's possible they could lose both those games and be nine and three on the outside looking in. I certainly think I would lean towards them being a playoff team. Texas. I would lean towards being a playoff team. But the last half of that schedule is really nasty. And. Frankly, the Oklahoma game this week doesn't give me a lot of warm and fuzzies with that bad offense. The Texas has displayed this year. A muddy defense like Oklahoma could pull them down into the mud and make them sweat in this game. So I'm not really ready to sure that Texas is a lock. I'm not ready to say that Ohio State's a lock, but they're damn damn damn close. Indiana is damn close to being a lock. I just need to I need to know what it looks like when Indiana actually stops playing these junior high teams and actually plays college football. As soon as they do that, I'll be able to make a judgment on on Indiana. Am I missing anybody? Liam. No, I think you covered your bases. I am surprised to hear you say Indiana is very close to a lock. Again, they they've looked pretty pedestrian. I know Northwestern is a lot better than people expected, but still being in the dogfight like that when that was the one good opponent you've played isn't an encouraging sign. I'm willing to give Indiana benefit now. Curse ignites the best coach in the sport, but they're not close to a lock right now. They still have a lot of work to do and it starts this Saturday where that lines up. Indiana schedule. Please Indian schedule. Please keep going Liam. I'm sorry. No, that was it. I was just like getting in the brass game. Nebraska's now a touchdown underdog wasn't that nine and a half. So that's coming down. That's a bit worrisome. No. Yeah, I it is. And, but I just in my heart of hearts. Do I see Indiana losing the three games necessary to knock them out of the play. I think anybody firmly attention to the top 10 as long as I go 10 and two, they're probably going to be pretty safely in. I think there's going to be a nine and three disaster of a mess in the SEC with a lot of teams going nine and three. So do I see three losses on the schedule at Nebraska. Certainly, you know, that'll be as lit up as an Nebraska crowd has been in a long time Ohio State at home. That's that's tough. At Michigan, nothing, no problem there. Minnesota at home. Minnesota is better and pretty good, but there shouldn't be a problem there. If Indiana's worth their salt, USC at home, shouldn't be a problem there. If they're worth their salt at Washington. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. I can see what you're saying. Maybe maybe it's a little tougher than than I was letting on. So maybe Indiana shouldn't be as close to a lock as I thought. So I've got a question for you though, then Brandon, if they go 10 and two, are they a bona fide lock? That'd be one loss to Ohio State, which is by far, head and head and shoulders above everyone else, the best team that they've played, then they'd have one of those losses against one of those teams is that resume better. Is the championship Pagory from last year carrying them into it. It's a fair discussion to have. I think they'll be fine. I think they'll go 11 and one, but we can still talk in hypothesize. You know, it's all contingent, right? It's all contingent on what's out there. What happens in the SEC? Do a couple of teams like the LSU just go 11 and one and somebody else go 10 and two and clear up a little bit discussion the SEC. What I'm anticipating the SEC, I'm anticipating something like Texas, Georgia and Alabama, being pretty safe with what they do, and then they're being this log jam of maybe a nine and three Ole Miss a nine and three LSU and nine and three Florida and nine and three, you know, fill in the blank or the team. So I feel like there's going to be this log jam of SEC teams trying to nose each other out of the way. And if Indiana were go 10 and two and I don't really see a third loss on the schedule, I feel like they would be pretty safe. And that's, that's all projecting, but that feels like what I would think is going to happen. I have fair for locks. I would go with Miami Notre Dame, Georgia and Alabama and Ohio State. I think those five are as good as in right now. You know, Oregon's another one that, you know, Oregon has a chance to upset the apple cart right now and if they were, if they were to go to Ohio State and win, you know, that that changes a lot of conversations.
So, so I don't think they will, but you know, it is what it is. That's why I feel like in the Big 10 and in the SEC, the picture is still muddy enough where I'm not willing to lock that many teams in. In the Big 12, I have no idea who's winning that conference. BYU, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, go on and on. However far you wanna go, I have no idea who's winning that conference. I don't think, like, Baylor's not out there. There's a lot of teams in the Big 12 that are gonna have a decision or have a say and who wins that conference. The ACC is pretty much decided. I think my IM is winning that. Nor did any of them get in based on being chicken shit to join the conference. And then group of five, which I would certainly have Boise State as the leader right now, but North Dakota State's not exactly gonna go away. JMU's not exactly gonna go away. So these are some discussions we'll have down the road, too. - Yeah, group of six is not wide open, but yeah, it's fine. There's a few teams, the UTSA is still going well. They got a big game this week. Memphis still in it. Oregon State. I mentioned on college football show last week. Oregon State, Boise State late in the season. Probably gonna be the championship rematch, too. Oregon State's a really good team. I know you're probably very annoyed with me because I bring them up every other sentence. But Boise State, great team, best team in the group six. Not shoo and not a lock. - Yeah, not in the group of six. This is wide open as the big 12. As I mean, there's the big 12. - 12 is more wide open than in group six. - I mean, how many legitimate contenders to the group of six spot do you see? Five, six. - Boise State, Oregon State, JMU, NDSU, Memphis slash UTSA. - So you just named six? - Five and a half, five and a half. - Five and a half, all right, in the big 12, I've got Texas Tech, BYU, Utah, thank you very much. Oklahoma State is very much in the mix. I don't think the Arizona teams are out of it. Not out of it. - That's all right. It's just, I think, I think Baylor's pretty good. Baylor's just sneaking along just just-- - EJ Lagway played the best game of his life on Saturday and I ain't nobody saw it. - Yeah, Baylor's not bad and it's funny, that tackle, that tackle that an Auburn player made at the goal line is going to dramatically affect the way we look at both those teams or already has dramatically affected. If Auburn had lost, they'd be in some serious fires or more so with their coach and if Baylor had won, they'd be what, number 14 in the country? They'd be way up there. Anyway, I didn't mention Houston, either. Houston's, I don't think Houston's going anywhere. - Big 12 is wide open. - Yep, ASU just got stomped. Yeah, you're right, Arizona State's probably out of it. But KState, WVU, I mean, you go on, not it just feels like everyone in that conference for a most part is on an even playing field. That's crazy. - So what we got on this show is, once again, we got a couple of discussions here at the top of the show. We've got the top 25. We got voice mails. We got our game draft and then we got Oklahoma State, Eric Morris coming up in just a second. Lucky, I got a message to send you. I gotta send it right now. Yes, Big Cat just asked me if I talked about the Armadillo hunting with Eric Morris. Yes, I very much did. I very much did. Here you go, Lukey. This is very key stuff and Liam was late to the stream, so I didn't get to tell me with, excuse me. This is my fault, not here at 520. - Yep, not very professional. Hello everybody. Coach Ware says Mr. State got stumped. That is accurate. That is definitely what happened. I saw it. It was definitely a problem. We got stumped. That's been least as I'm hoping AP can take JMU out of the conversation this year. Hoping one hand, shit in the other. See which one fills up faster, I guess. Blitherington says go canes. Thank you very much. Liam Blutman says the stream did start at seven Eastern. Don't know why you said that. - It's okay. - Yeah, rabbit in the hat says wait. I thought the show started at seven Eastern so the rabbit in the hat's either drunk, stupid, or mincey. Please explain why I'm in Nebraska and Kentucky are unranked. Why is Iowa dropped six spots and Mississippi State only drops one spot, close from in 40. Yeah, I'll answer that. Mississippi State dropped one spot. Iowa dropped six spots because Iowa's best win is a terrible win. Their best win is Michigan and it is an aging well. They're losing, they suck. And Mississippi State's best win, Missouri. Just beat the shit out of Florida. Mississippi State now has a win over the number 14 team. They have a road win at a Minnesota team who's all of a sudden pretty good. So Mississippi State has two pretty good wins. Iowa doesn't have that. That's why Iowa dropped like a rock. And that's why Mississippi State didn't drop enough after losing about 33 points. Pretty easy answer. And if you get your head out of your ass, you can see that, but you all want to just say, as you see bias, as you see bias. Well, Mississippi State's wins are holding up pretty good. Why is Nebraska not ranked? Haven't beat anybody. Haven't beat anybody yet. Why is, let's say, what are the others? What were the others he asked about? Why is pit not ranked? Pit probably could be ranked. Nebraska is a race. Nebraska and UCLA should be ranked. UCLA is ranked. So yeah, there you go. Pretty easy answer. Top 25 is tough, but it is what it is. We'll talk about, I'll have my top 25 in just a minute. Buyers remorse Liam. Buyers remorse. Are there any first year coaches and teams that are regretting their decisions? Are there any teams out there that right now might try to get out of this one year in? I think we have on this buyer's remorse spectrum, I got four teams I want to talk about. Number one, the Arkansas razor backs. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility. Arkansas tries to do a do over this year. Their fan base was never in love with the silver field higher. They are significantly the worst team in the SEC. The other bad teams in the SEC are at least putting up fights. Like South Carolina's bad, they're putting up fights. You know, Auburn's bad. They're putting up fights. This team is awful. And significantly, significantly worse than everybody else. They got the higher wrong. The fan base knows they got the higher wrong. Is it possible that Arkansas makes a change after one year? I think that that should be very much in the cards and I think it will be in the cards because I think if you want to be a serious football program and we'll do this for our next three, four teams who bring up Brandon, you need to understand that there is no time. There is no waiting game now. There is no being patient. You look around the country. You look at Indiana. You look at what Oklahoma State did in week one and what they did in week two and how the story is being told after you look at what UCLA's when you go on, on, on you flip the switch and instant. It takes a few months. It takes the very quick part of the offseason to figure it out, assembling the right roster. Have a little bit of luck on your side with the schedule, which I know ain't easy in the SEC. But still there's no time. Ryan Silverfield said himself and it was the most idiotic thing that the head coach of a failing team that's going to win two games could say is there's no time that you need. It's right away you could flip the switch. So yeah, they should be looking. Team number two, team number two, Penn State. How bad does it have to get for them to really regret the higher they made? How bad does Matt Campbell have to be this year? Six and six, sounding alarm bells. Is seven and five sounding alarm bells. When he got there, he didn't exactly knock down the transfer portal with elite transfers from around the country like you would expect the Penn State coach to be able to do. He got a lot of Iowa State guys in there to recreate what he had going on in Iowa State and that wasn't exactly winning national titles. How bad would it have to be in year one for Penn State to go away in a minute? This isn't what we signed up for. Well, I mean like Luke he can just pull the schedule up. It's already bad. We could be we're honest men, brand. You and I are grown men who aren't afraid to say what's on our mind about this sport. It's all a bad. Let's be honest, they're oh and two. They're oh and two in conference. They played non-conference preseason garbage, which is fair and fine, but they struggled against Temple. They didn't look like world beaters. They're oh and two for all things considered and it's not going to get much easier. They're not a good football team. It looks like a lot of guys who took some money and they go with their head coach and hang out and have fun and nobody's really locked in and unison and sink. It's a mess from top to bottom. And you know what? You know where it started? It started in that search when they got like their ninth-tenth guy. It started when it was one of the most comically failing searches that we've seen recent memory. And we all knew it was bad. We all knew, hey, cool. They're going to get Matt Kempel. [BLANK_AUDIO]
the one thing about Matt Campbell, though this last decade, he was in every single job search and he never took the job. He never, ever left. His agent had them in every single search. They finally got his job and we all expect to be all good and dandy. They had the schedule. It's not good. It's very uninspiring, Brando. Take a breath. Oh, my, my next team is somebody you have already, here's Penn State schedule. By the way, we all looked at what I did. I can't say we all did, but I looked at this Penn State schedule this year. And I said, whoa, that could be a playoff team. The schedule is so easy. Well, they've already gotten beat by 21 to Northwestern. Already blew a lead to Wisconsin. They got USC coming down in a, in a loser leaf's town match this weekend. They're at Michigan in a game. Nobody should watch that they got Purdue coming in. That's all of a sudden. Saltier than you were to thought at Washington is not a fun trip. Minnesota is saltier than you thought. Ruckers will be easy and then Maryland will be easy. So six and six very much on the table there and Penn State could at least be looking around and saying, what, what did we, what are we thinking? And that's, that's a Mirage, Brando, six and six of Mirage. That's really three and six. Two more teams, two more teams. Number one is, this buyer's remorse may go both ways. But you got to think, Kyle Wittingham is looking around at his roster, his quarterback, his situation, the job he is trying to do. And he's got to think to himself, I could have been on any golf course in Utah every single day this fall. I could have been playing 36, 18 in the morning, 18 in the evening. I could have got on my plane and flew over the Utah mountains. I could have, I could be drinking sip and coffee and talking to college football every morning. I could be doing all these things. Instead, I'm trying to root out the rot of a corrupt program at Michigan, who has not as much talent as they've let on that they have, who has an overrated, overpriced quarterback who is standing in the way of any progress, who has not been coached both on the field or morally in the last two or three years. And is Michigan looking like, is this, is this the right guy to get this thing turned around? Do you think buyers remorse could be coming from Wittingham and not Michigan? I think it goes both ways. I really do just think it go. It's the layman's or butt. I feel bad for all those guys that left Utah to go with Kyle to Michigan left the really good thing at Utah. A lot of guys who had great comfortable jobs, job security for a long, long time. And now they're out here on an island. It's scary. It's sketchy waters. Like you said, the quarterbacks of joke, they can't get a run game going. The defense isn't playing as elite. The defense has to be perfect to win these games. That's the problem. We're literally is looking at a version of Iowa. Why Kyle Wittingham took this job is beyond me, Brandon. And I don't think he knew what he was gang himself into. And yeah. And last team, a team that you mentioned the other night that you believe is already having conversations, the cow golden bears. Yeah, I right. No, like for a fact that conversations have been happening. He did a great job recruiting, building that roster through the portal, retaining JKS, keeping roll low on staff because of his relationship with JKS. But, you know, the proct on the field has been nothing short of a joke. They has got boat race by UNLV who was boat race by North Texas. The transit property there isn't exactly great. They had a great landing spot in week one to get a big one against UCLA. And then roll that momentum in. Nothing happened. Positive boy made dangerous mistake when he hired first time play callers as his coordinators. And he was a first year head coach. It's been bad. It's a mess. I don't hear any good things out Berkeley after all the optimism. I think that like a scale of one to a hundred brand. I think the buyers are more size 98. Okay. All right. Fair enough. Destro 53 11 says Jim Harbaugh left the trail of fuck shit. That was just a good solid comment. Fantastic comment right there. The college football AP poll needs to be abolished. First of all, let's kill the number one opposing argument that everyone likes to make that the AP poll doesn't even matter. If you are going to put that little number on the screen all week and all game, then it matters. The AP poll influences public opinion. It drives television narratives, historical legacy is tied to it. It creates pressure. It creates motivation. And if we're being honest, the college football playoff rankings don't just appear out of thin air. So the amount of bias in the AP poll or worse, the lack of intelligence or worst of all, the intelligence of knowing exactly what you are doing for the purpose of rage baiting and generating more clicks for your social media and for your publication. It's flat out unacceptable. I mean, the AP poll right now is nothing more than the Barstool College football show rankings where the voters use it to make statements or to make jokes or to create a rise except it actually has real consequences within the sport. Hey, Greg Luca from the San Antonio Express News, for example. Now last week, Greg had undefeated Mississippi State at 18 on his ballot. And of course, on Saturday, we all saw Mississippi State lose by 33 points on their home field to a very good Alabama team, but it's a home lost by a sizable margin. So what did Greg Luca do? He moved Mississippi State up eight spots to number 10 in the country. He then submitted his ballot and then he wrote an article explaining his reasoning and put it behind a pay wall. The man also booted pit out of his rankings, which they were on his ballot the previous week for going on the road and beating undefeated Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. The man is clearly doing it for self gain through clicks, followers and money. And by allowing him and other countless bias self-serving voters out there to do the exact same thing and have a real impact on the sport, then not only is it not the best way to rank our teams, it's actually affecting the ecosystem of college football. Now, the question then becomes what's the answer? Should we go to an unbiased computer system? Should we have a small committee that actually watches ball rank and release them each week? I don't have the answer to that. That's for the brand and walkers of the world to decide. But what I do know is that the answer is not the A.P. poll. Loki, a little constructive criticism, if I may. When he sent that, he had a little musical intro at the beginning that was its own breaking news music. You've been TJFIED too much where you're terrified of music. That was royalty-free, fine music. It was picked for a reason. I don't know why he took the music out. I talked to the people above me, I had to cut it. I'll talk to them tomorrow because that kind of just ruined the whole fucking thing. It was supposed to be the date of the union with presidential music at the beginning. I tried to fill it in with an alarm. Apologies. Ask me about those things. That's the date of the union. We will have that every single Monday night, the date of the union. He chose tonight to talk about the A.P. poll, which, you know, what that's what I was passionate about. But I've got dates stopping by every Monday night with a one-to-three-minute speech to talk to everybody. So anyway, that was Tate's opinion and I personally think the guy who moved Mississippi State up from 18 to 10 is a genius and should be lauded in his time. Also, is he stupid? What did he see out of a 33-point loss that makes him move Mississippi State up eight spots? Anyway, I've got my top 25 right now. My top 25, let me see what we got. Bring it up right now. There is my top 25. Texas, Georgia, Miami is your top three. Ohio State up to number four. Alabama up to number five. Indiana six, Notre Dame seven. There's a gap right there between Notre Dame seven and then Oregon at
at eight BYU nine, who I don't really believe in, but I don't really see that many places to put them. I've got number 10 LSU, number 11 Mississippi State, 12 Missouri, 13 Florida, 14 Ole Miss, 15 Texas Tech, 16 as Utah, 17 as Minnesota, 18 as Iowa, 19 as UCLA, 20 Oklahoma State, 21 Tennessee, 22 Pitt, 23 Houston, 24 Boise State and 25 Kentucky. I also have North Dakota State, they were actually in a spot, but then I forgot Kentucky had to put them back in. So, there it is, there's my top 25, who's too high, who's too low, Liam Blutman. - Seems like you and that voter, Luca had similar thoughts on Mississippi State's performance against Alabama, I guess I didn't see the same thing, but that's okay. - No, no, no, no, no, don't say dumb shit, don't you know Good and God damn well, I did not have Mississippi State number 18 last year. - You're right, you have like 10. - Correct. So I didn't, I also, I wasn't gonna move Missouri, I had a Mississippi State, so I just, I filled everybody in right there. - All right, I got no really real other thoughts on your top 25, it's fine, standard. Again, I don't think there's top 25 teams where they've been ranked, but that's another story for another day, and I like your tail of the union thing that you sprung on all of us. I think that was really good and shout to tail for being able to articulate sentence, which I could not do because everything you said is what I've been saying for three decades. - Yeah, I mean the AP poll and Tate left it open for me to fix it and everything. The AP poll is a flawed metric and it is antiquated, and it was meant for a time, it was constructed in a time where a network of sports riders across the country was the best way to adequately rank teams, because back in the day, someone in Boston wouldn't be able to see Utah and BYU play. Somebody in Miami wasn't going to be able to see Washington and Washington state as much as possible. But now in 2026, everybody can see everything. And there's no reason for a cover reporter at Washington State newspapers should have a vote. That person is focused on covering Washington state. That person goes to pre-game practice or a pre-game, goes to practice, goes to the game, goes and gets a snack at halftime, comes back, writes a game story, doesn't watch Alabama, Mississippi State, even a little bit. There should be like 75 to 100 voters across this country that go through like a rigorous, I am a ball watcher, I am a ball-nower campaign and training. It shouldn't be these riders across the country, these beat riders should not be voting on it. Beat riders are inherently going to be biased, they are. And they're just not good enough at their jobs to be trusted with this. That's what I say about the AP Top 25. Blue Chiu. Guys, what do women want in need? I don't know how many we got. Loki, how many we got? Six and then there's a bonus for Liam. Six and a bonus for Liam. I like the sound of that. Okay, Loki, play voicemail number one. I tell you, Michigan needs a refund for the NIL money to price underwood or strike off in the price driftwood or price deadwood. I mean, he's made Michigan succeed underwood. I mean, good God. I mean, this guy is a bum. Listen, I love Frank, but price overpaid is right there. It's all right there. Also, price underwhelming. Yeah, like it's all right there. But, but as always, another mother fucking voicemail from Frank the tank, we are the official. We are the official home of happy Frank. And that was pretty good. Thank you very much, Frank. Three, one, two, six, eight, five, 18, 89. What we got, Loki? Hey, yes. My name is Jeff, calling in from Austin, Texas. I like to remain anonymous. I'm a Penn State fan. It's born Connecticut though. Thank you, basketball. My dad's from Cleveland, and I've met Brian Walker a few times. But I just want to say that as a Penn State fan, I stand by my wanting a removal of James Franklin. I think it's a marriage that was not good anymore. Marriage, I needed to end. Obviously, that doesn't always mean the next marriage is great. I think it's pretty early on in the new marriage to tell. But I stand by the fact that James Franklin and Penn State needed a split. With all of that said, sports are pointless. They're lifeless. Euclis, especially when it's a college that you paid money to-- you essentially paid money to become a fan. And all they do is play Friday night games and allow people on Twitter to make fun of you and laugh at you and call your team pathetic and lifeless. And like a bunch of losers, with no heart, hustle, grit, determination. There's no point in doing any of this. We're watching this show, but I'll continue to do it every week, the great show. But I just want to say that this sport, which you're talking about multiple times a week, and then I'm watching from my couch, my pool, my car, on my phone, on the toilet, is pointless, stupid, and worthless. Have a good job. Thank you. Once again, that was Jeff calling anonymously from his above ground pool in Austin, Texas. You could hear the water sloshing about. You know, I know they're sounded like some despair in Jeff's voice, but let me echo him when saying, ultimately, at the end of the day, college football is a pointless exercise and heartbreak and mediocrity that will absolutely drive all of us to an early grave and is an unforgiving, unrelenting bitch of a partner. So shout out to college football. 312-685-1889. Voice mail number three, please. Hey, Brandon, it's Brett. I'm a fan here. Do you like music, Brandon? Where on what's saying? Momma tried. Momma tried. Momma tried. Momma tried. You see, mama walked and tried to tell your dumbass to be a Bama fan. But no, you decided to be a leader and be a state fan. Bama just went in to slinky-start villain. That's in titties all day. You know, you should on Kalin or Tom, Brandon. Jeff let you jam hold the fucking jock of Kalin. And Super Camario, more like Kalin said, hold these net toe. Don't you ever speak about Mississippi State and Alabama the same press again. Your family up in the caterer knew better and tried telling you. But once the loser always the loser, huh? Any who be well, family, family. I will be giving that. I will be writing that man's phone number in the chat in just a second. Yeah, to the victor go the spoils. Alabama beat us and beat us good. And he is allowed to call in and shit talk. He's allowed to call in and shit talk. But just remember, when Kalin the Boer loses a game in a couple of weeks and you guys light your trailer parks on fire and absolutely say he should be fired and go crazy. Daddy, Brandon's going to be waiting right here to hug you again. Yeah, you guys meet Mississippi State. You beat us and yeah, for right now, you guys are happy. You'll want him fired in probably two to three weeks. But we'll deal with that later. Three, one, two, six, eight, five, eight, eight, nine, go for it. That's a shame, Deamer. Should be fucking fired. Bucking fired. If he is not fired by 10 o'clock Saturday night, that program should burn to the ground. He burned a 17 point lead against Kentucky. 16 point lead versus Mississippi State. A 30 point lead versus A&M. But by God, guess what? We had a fucking great week of practice. That's all he gives a fuck about. Haine's a banner. National champion of fucking practice. Fuck him. [LAUGHS] That man is already going through all the pain and the heartache that College football is going to inflict on everyone but one team this year. But yeah, Shane Beamer, I'll be surprised if he is the coach this time next month. Voice mail number five, Lukey. Brandon, you tell that little shit at Arsenal. Comic reference to stop eating fucking McDonald's before a practice. I am tired of his stupid bullshit. He is cursing Penn State. He is cursing us. He is of the curse to Penn State. Get rid of the McDonald's. I don't want to see him with McDonald's ever again. Jinks' and curses don't exist. You fucking pussy. Next voice mail, please. Is this the bonus for Liam or is this over here? Hey Brandon, listen to Chris from Alabama. First time, wasn't her first time caller. How about you calling Alabama playing pussy football under Cameron DeBorke?
You just got fucking manhandled in your own goddamn building. That's seeing you've had in probably 15 years. And you just got fucking manhandled right in front of your fucking face in Starkville, Mississippi. How about you go fuck yourself? Fair. I will say these Alabama fans are throwing the soft football and pussy stuff back in my face. If you believe your coach was hired to beat Mississippi State for the 19th straight year, you go right on and do it. I know it feels good right now, but you and I know how you reacted last year when you went to Florida State to open the season and lay down and absolutely quit against Florida State. You and I know what you guys felt like when you laid down and quit against Indiana last year. You and I know what it felt like when Oklahoma beat you 24 to three a couple of years ago. Like you and I know we've seen Caleb to board teams get to certain spots of the season and then just lay down and get in the fetal position. I didn't make it up, nobody else made it up. So right now, yeah, you came and you beat Mississippi State and you beat the shit out of us. You're a better football team with better players. There's no doubt about that, but there will come a time this year when Caleb to board teams are asked to go up against it. And it might be this weekend when they're asked to go up against it and we have to answer that question. Are they the same soft team that quit against Florida State? Are they the same soft team that quit against Indiana? Are they a new different Alabama this year under Caleb to board? We will have that question answered very, very soon. But I didn't make it up. You guys saw it. You guys complained about it. Now you beat Mississippi State and you want to come out and say, well, I told you, I told you about time. It comes around for everybody. Do we have one more? Yeah. This one's for Liam. All right, go ahead. Hey, this is LJ from Alabama and know I'm not here to trash you, Brandon. This force mill is actually for the true ball, and they're Mr. B Lee and Blood. I'm a band of fan of that. You're up at the sideline, Liam on the fence there and welcome you to the SEC. And we're all glad you had a good time at the SEC's starter pack stadium. Now we're going to work the way out of Tuscaloos and all of it for true life. Yeah, I'm turn up. I gave him a couple. What you told me about the fence was right. Mama suffered death. Stop it. I gave him a couple. But that was if you're just going to call and do that. That's fine. So we've got Bowling Branch. I've got Eric Morse coming up for about 15 minutes, and now we've got our draft, our week five draft, week six, whatever it is. It's a week five or week six. I don't know. Whatever. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. It's week five. Week six. Okay. Anyway, Liam, who went first last week? What is that? What was that question? What was that answer? Look at who went first last week. Checking. Give me a sec. You did? I don't know. No, I think you did. You got Mississippi State Alabama, didn't you? Brandon drafted Alabama Mississippi State first. All right. You go first. What is the best game of the week, Liam Blutman? Alabama, Georgia. Sick. Cool. Thanks. That's it. I mean, yeah, dude. We're going to talk about this way more on the next show. This is a great SEC showdown under lights. Can't wait for it. I'm surprised that the line moved from Georgia. I'm going to have to Alabama. I'm going to have to back down to Alabama. I'm going to have to. I feel like that was a very overreactionary overreaction to the Mississippi State win. I still think Alabama is seeing them up close and personally. I think they're very good physically dominated. You guys. There's bigger, faster, stronger. I can't wait for this game. I think Georgia flexes their muscles, but we'll see. They are miss Alabama, without question, bigger, faster, stronger than Mississippi State. But it's Georgia, bigger, faster, and stronger than them. That's the question we find out on Saturday because there is a chance that exists. There's also a chance they're not. So we'll find out. I certainly know Keeling Russell the quarterback will be ready and he'll be good enough. But will those physical bodies of Alabama that threw their weight around in Starfleet will be able to do the same when the Georgia Bulldogs are the Bulldogs on the other side. It's a great question. We'll see. Now, I'm glad that you picked that one first because that's an obvious first pick. But I'm also glad that I am in the spot to honor a team and a coach that probably should have been the first pick. This Bob Chasney guy has really turned things around at UCLA and it is a shame. It is a shame that someone like you didn't pounce on the opportunity to elevate them into this spot where they get to go on the road and they play an Oregon team who is fighting to get back to where they were supposed to be with Dylan Raiola and they're fighting to get back to national championship good UCLA is fighting to break through with the run game. This is a huge, proven moment and I of all people believe in UCLA and believe in Oregon to deliver the game of the week here and there's a shame that the SEC bias permeating through Liam Blutman's body allowed him to look away from this UCLA team and instead pick Alabama and Georgia. I mean, I'm an SEC guy. I guess I kind of just looked at UCLA Oregon and thought, hey, cute little UCLA, it's going to go into Austin. Now there's no shot there. UCLA has someone in Austin since the Oregon Trail made their way over there. You got to think Oregon wins this game by 30 plus should be pretty easy for Dan Lang and company. I'll cred to them. Top five team in the country. Number three pick. Go with Texas and Oklahoma and I'll tell you why it stinks to high heaven if I'm a Texas fan. I think, I think this one makes me nervous. They're both coming off a buy, right, but, but Oklahoma needed it. I mean, they needed it desperately. They needed something. They needed to reset the rivalry. You can throw out whatever has happened before. It would make Oklahoma season to come in there and stick one in Texas's eye. The line is what six five and a half. It's not that much and if you, if I've got Oklahoma, I've got a defense. That can confuse and it can slow down Texas's offense. It's not a Texas offense. It's just steamrolling people. They didn't steamroll Tennessee. They didn't steamroll. They didn't steamroll anybody. They're an offense that looks the part, but when it comes when the rubber meets the road, they're not exactly putting up 40 points of game. So Oklahoma is going to give us a defense that can slow Texas down. Make it ugly. Make it stupid. Make it 10 to 6 in the fourth quarter. Maybe arch throws a pick six and all of a sudden Oklahoma's leading. That's the kind of game this is and it's going to be nasty. It's going to be ugly. It's going to be like Michigan Iowa, but it's Texas Oklahoma should be pretty, pretty sick. Good pick, Brando. For my next two, I'll be going with Indiana and Nebraska on Saturday. This is, this could be the statement of Matt Rules in Nebraska tenure. This is a big, big, big opportunity for him. I have no clue which way this goes. Indiana again. This isn't a slide on Indiana. I hate that they're, their fans got a taste of the title and are now just so. Delusional like it's not a slide on Indiana to say Indiana's not being the Indiana of old, which is of last year of 360 days ago when they would run up against anyone, punch them in the mouth, take their lunch money and run with the game by 70 as they're running and throwing all over the feet, all over the field. They've looked pedestrian again. It's not a slide on them, but they need a big time show up to a big time road atmosphere and punch someone in the mouth and stop on the ground, say, Hey, we're still this dominant top five team in the country. So this game, circle it, obviously, massive, massive game with interesting line movement. Then I'm going Friday night. I don't feel like we picked many weekday games during this draft. So far, Brando, Friday night, BYU hosts. I was state. I've been singing the praises of I was state for, for quite a while now. And hey, if we're going to talk about the big 12 being this very even playing field where this team could compete for the championship and da, da, da, all across the board, the deep conference. Well, let's look at this one weird things happen at night in Provo. I'm not, I think BYU wins this game, but I think I was state's going to give him a heck of a lot of trouble and circle this game. My next two picks, LSU at Kentucky, um, SEC vice, yeah. It is a little bit, uh, Kentucky's got a little something going on there. They, they competed with Alabama for a half. They beat Texan A&M, they beat South Carolina. My, my Spidey sense to say LSU kind of thumps them a little bit and brings Kentucky back down to earth. I mean, they needed a huge comeback to beat South Carolina. I don't know, but, but Kentucky will be just absolutely on fire for this game and it's good coach. So maybe it keeps it close. LSU, Kentucky. And then. Uh.
Yeah Give me Houston at case state in the big 12. Give me a little clarity over there in the big 12 I'll go to your next two picks This is tough. I have no clue where you're gonna go. I have a few still on the board Give me boys. You stay at Fresno State Saturday night Fresno State's been playing while boys You stay again best team in the group six. See if they can prove it again. I don't want to take USC Penn State Dude, I don't care. Miami of Ohio at UMass UMass UMass is on the field man. It's one of the coolest stories in the sporting again Just goes to show if you hire the right guy in in this day and age It doesn't matter if you're coach Alabama Indiana UCLA or UMass you could fix it in a second for those teams that we're talking about buyers or more Earlier UMass is another great proof of concept of why you don't need three or four years to get the ball rolling again UMass is undefeated UMass looks like a great comp the football team with a leader at quarterback and pop Watson There's a bit of a reclamation project UMass Miami of Ohio keep tabs on UMass man interesting So last pick I'm leaving USC Penn State on the board. I'm leaving Arizona West Virginia on the board Because I'm going to take the one game that feels like to me It feels like to me. By the way, I did think and I just I thought this UMass did lose last week Yeah, well, I was in Starkville week and there wasn't connection. I couldn't watch football, but the point still stands. Okay fair enough I'm the game I'm going to take right now the game I'm going to go with is the one game if I look at this whole schedule and I say what game is going to bizarrely be in the fifth over time What teams running a hook and ladders and statue of liberties for two point conversions and it just it goes on forever It like starts in one window finishes two hours in the other window and Can't you just see Wake Forest and NC State playing a bizarre seven over time weird game or CJ Bailey somehow throws a pick six on a two point Conversion or something to lose the game like this something about this feels like it's going to be crazy and weird NC State is finding themselves in all kinds of crazy situations. So it's wake forest These two teams are going to play a weird one on Saturday. That's all I have to say about that one All right So there we go. That's our Monday show for now. We have Eric Morris coming up from Oklahoma state Let's see Liam can't believe I broke bfw my starter pack stadium comment. That was too easy. No, it's just really dumb It was just really fucking stupid. It was just I'd already listened to two of the same voicemail And then on Saturday you hung out out over the stadium and over the fence and you suck my deck and ask for me for a picture And then today you're like oh Brandon You got a starter pack down there and start veil shut the fuck up. So Yeah, it was just the same as the others if it had been different if I thought it was going any different You did the same mama walker the same stuff everybody else did so thank you for being here. Thank you for watching Now go fuck your cousin. What else we got? Nothing. Okay. No, I just feel like a moron Because of UMass. Yeah, must be a moron. I took Liam out of his comfort zone. I took him away from ball for a day So that is that that that's on me. I apologize. That is on me. That's on me and He just he just gave a you you mass speech that isn't exactly accurate But the general sentiment of UMass being better is still the same. Yes. There it is We've got Eric Morse coming up. I we talked about coaches where where programs have buyers or Morse That is not this guy coming up right now. That is not this guy. It is Eric Morse, Oklahoma state Looking like a contender in the big in the big 12 already be Oregon and now we got 15 minutes with Eric Morse. Thank you. And we will be back See you Wednesday The chase is rolling into Talladega with championship pressure on the line and the biggest party in racing is happening All around it. Don't be the one hearing about it. Afford grab your tickets now because it Talladega Anything can happen grab your tickets Talladega where anything can happen. All right. First of all College football season takes many turns. It takes many twists But if you watch this show you know all offseason long Liam Blutman who's on the show was just gushing about Eric Morris and Oklahoma state and everything and I was telling pump the brakes hey relax But there was no reason to pump the brakes. He knew what he was talking about and I got to say I've interviewed a lot of coaches This is the this is the coolest looking setup. I've ever seen a coach have my my god coach Eric Morris This this thing behind you. What a six setup you got look at that perfect for Halloween right? This perfect for everything you got the got the blackout helmets. You got the highlights in the background That's that's pretty sweet setup. Y'all got over there. We're gonna do something cool Maybe some ghost and pumpkins and things coming up for month of October here Like I said, I got a guy on the show Liam Blutman who just told me all offseason that this was gonna happen You guys were gonna have a good season you guys were gonna do good things But he also tell me told me to ask you about this. How's the armadilla problem? I'm up to three so far. I got one tearing up my front yard now and so We had a by-week last week. I got up a couple times Those suckers are hard to catch now and so um nocturnal and in middle of the night I like to think a coach, you know As much work as y'all got to put in, you know your hours and hours watching film getting ready for the next recruiting everything But then when you get home instead of relaxing your own full armadillo watch That's right. I've set my alarm a couple times about two thirty three a.m Get out with my spotlight walk out there my underwear and see if there's anything out there coach I do think I still think you know getting to football I think you guys still have the most We're here when of the season when you beat Oregon and week two and I know coming to the offseason All the talk you're a first-year coach You're trying to get settled trying to build a program trying to do the right things How much did that change your season and help your season to have that big boost in week two and and how's it made the rest of the season look different? Yeah, I thought it was huge and especially like you said We had so much momentum going into the offseason Obviously, you know brought some really good players with this and then just fell on our face week one against Tulsa And so I think just to see the response in the kids and you know I think this is the third time I've taken a little program where we're really you need a culture shift internally And you know you could see a lot of people's faces, you know Oh here we go again, you know after week one and then so to have the turnout that we did my first game and boom pick and stadium The energy and and I thought we started really fast in that game and And really you know, just the way we Dominated the line of scrimmage in that game and showed what we were capable against against you know a really good defensive line and in the organ doubts But it wasn't just that like the last time we saw y'all it was I know you just had a by-week the last time we saw you You were over there in Morgan town getting a big win that was a it was a back-and-forth game But that was you know, that's a conference game now you're really starting to lay groundwork for what's coming the rest of the season What about that game and and how it sets you up really? I think the second half of that game is the best we've played as a complete football time Football team, you know, we've had spurts on both sides of the football But really just rising up together and all three phases in the second half, you know I think we ended the game with six straight stops on the defensive side You know contained a really good player at Hawkins at quarterback at West Virginia and then you know We were able to drive the football really effectively in the first half But really weren't able to get many points and that's really you know, maybe the one negative we've had so far this year We haven't been great in the red zone and and so even though you know, we've been able to produce a lot of yards It doesn't match up with our scoring right now So we got to do a better job getting the ball in the end zone You took the job and then you know, you spent all off season planning for your first season and getting ready and building what you're gonna build Now that you're a month then If any of your ideas about being the Oklahoma state head coach have you have you learned anything new about your program about yourself Whereas maybe you thought one way when you took the job, but you think a different way now I think it's the same thing I try to stay true to myself, you know Mike Leach was one of my mentors and and I watch him do this at multiple places and he never changed and so That's one thing I try to be really consistent even though you know, it's a bigger league I got more resources all those different things. I think the one thing that's a little bit different just for me and my family is You know, being a little town like Stillrotter just I noticed everywhere and people want to talk and congratulate and And I'm somebody that still likes to go out in public and talk to people But that's one thing that's been new especially for my my two young boys I kind of want to ask about the Mike Leach influence You know a lot of coaches come from the Mike Leach coaching tree and looked up to Mike Leach and run the offense similar You know Mike your coach Leach was famous for that really small play sheet and they're you know They're really just keep doing it. Keep doing it. Keep doing it. Do you have a small plan like that or small play sheet like that? Are you how do you take what he did and adapt it to yourself? Yeah, for sure You know, I won't carry more than a hundred plays into a game. And so we haven't broken up into sections and something that I learned from my Now we we do have a little bit more creativity You know, we run the same plays in a variety of different ways We motion. We've committed to running the football ad
do think, you know, one in championships, you need to invest in running the football. I think it makes your your team a better team on both sides of the ball. And so that's one thing, you know, Mike and I would argue about, you know, to were blue in the face. If he was still here today is he, he definitely think I, I put that ball on the running backs and too many times speaking to run of the ball. Listen, when you, when you brought Drew Messonmaker over and I thought I had an idea of what he would play like when I was watching the Oregon game and his willingness and ability to tuck the ball down and run and go get that tough yard and, and, you know, really be a guy who can move the chains that way. I don't know if I saw it. Is that something that was always in this game and something you like about him or, or, or, or is it just the arm talent? Yeah, ultra competitive. I remember, you know, the first game that he played in the bowl game, he had a famous thing that went viral, you know, on, on whatever TikTok or Instagram where, you know, he runs a 75 yard touchdown and he throws up. He's puking on the sideline and a trash can. And so he's a guy, you know, he played safety and punner in high school. And so he's a guy that has some physicality to him. He's been out there and the trench is playing a different position. And so, you know, I just think his competitive character is as good as anybody I've ever been around. And so there's no way in those key moments of the game that he's not going to lower shoulder and try to go sacrifice for the team. It's his leadership, something that stands out because I, you know, when you, when you come in with a new staff and, and transfers come in, is it, is it possible in this day and age to become a leader on a team as soon as you get there, do you have to grow into it? Well, I watched him grow into it, you know, especially at our time at North Texas. And I think he'd already established himself as one of the best players in America by the time he got here. And so I think he stepped right into a leadership role, you know, having 92 new players on our team this year is something that, you know, we needed somebody that could come in and lead from the front right there. And so the cool thing for me, you know, he never has changed, you know, even after, you know, our first game where we didn't perform very high. And obviously, you know, it's well documented all the financial pieces that come along with being a great quarterback this day in college football. And he never changed, you know, he takes, you know, his lumps. If he did wrong, he's going to tell you that. And so yeah, he's, he's definitely grown, but he's definitely stepped into a leadership role since we've been here in Stillwater. I don't think your league gets enough credit. And you're about to really jump off in it, jump off into the deep end. I don't think it gets enough credit for just not having that many easy outs and for every week kind of being a grind and a slog. I'm just reading your schedule coming forward. You got, of course, UCF coming up. But then you got a road trip to Houston home game gets Colorado road trip to Ames Iowa road trip to Manhattan, Kansas. You got Texas tech coming in like this schedule, this, this big 12 and you can speak to it. I don't think it gets a credit for being an absolute grind with what you got coming up over the next six to eight weeks. Yeah, I think there's a lot of really good coaches in this league. And I think the ones that we added this year, you know, or quality, you know, I have a ton of respect for calling client. I have a ton of respect, you know, for Morgan Scali, I got a ton of respect, you know, for Jimmy Rogers. And I think this league, you know, did a good job this offseason and really adding some key pieces into it. But I'm with you a lot of tough places to play a lot of teams that are playing the high level and should be a really fun league just to see how it all kind of ends up down the stretch here. I hate to go back to the week one, but you know, you guys did lose your first game. Did you see the team kind of show up at practice, pissed off about it and ready to fix it themselves? Did you have to do some work to fix it? How did the how did the bounce back happen so quickly? Yeah, I think we just simplified it. I think, you know, if we went back and study that game, I mean, there's a bunch of stuff on that tape. We are not proud of and and that is your resume in college football. And I think, you know, we had some come to Jesus meetings and we watched a bunch of what we call bad ball together as a team. So nobody could point fingers at one another. There's a lot of people that made mistakes and we got dominated physically in that game as well. And so I think, you know, challenges their manhood on a lot of different levels and it's been great to see the response. And now it just flips, right? I think, you know, you better humble yourself for this game. Well, humble you and it happens every single week in college football, right? I mean, you look at, you know, what happened to the Florida Gators last week and people that are riding these highs, right? And so we got to make sure that that doesn't happen to us and we continue to put the work in. I'm looking at the coaches whistle around your neck there. And I just got to ask about this because I went to some leach practices back at Mississippi State. And they would, they would go back and forth between looking like the most leisurely practice you've ever seen. And then looking like the most intense practice you've ever seen. They go over to leach beach and they do the, oh, what are your practices? Like you're an intense get after um guy or you're, you're, you know, two hours. Let's grind it out guy or you're more of a, let's, let's calmly put this in place. How's it? How's it? How's the practice for it at Morse look? Yeah, intense. And a lot of people hate that I blow the, I call the plays and I still blow the whistle after every play. And so one thing that stinks from my, for my assistant coaches is the microphone. I still talk to the in their microphones. So they have to hear the whistle in their ears. And so they don't really appreciate the fact that I blow the whistle and, and have all the communication. So looking forward, we got what eight games left seven games left. I don't know where exactly where we are. Yeah. So you're three and one right now eight games left. What is success for Eric Morse and this program look like after, after year one? Yeah, at our best. I think we're going to be a problem for anybody on our schedule. And so if we can stay committed to the process and take this thing one week at a time, you know, I think we can win the rest of them on our schedule. You know, on the flip side of that at our worst this year, it was pretty bad. And so, so yeah, I mean, I like the way our schedule sets up. Obviously, I like our biweek been this week. We were a little bit banged up. But I definitely think there's, there's a chance that we can run this thing if we can stay committed to the process and go out there and play our brand of football. Is it, it's not a good thing. You never want to lose a football game. But the fact that you say at our best, we can win anything, but at our worst, we've seen it. Is it good that they've seen it? And that they know, all right, that's the, that's the crap we got to stay away from. That's the, we know what we're like at our worst. Stay above that and we're fine. Is that, is that just something you can use as I guess of what I'm asking? Yeah, I still torture myself. I watched that tape once a week to this day. And so it's something just to remind myself and to be able to continue to set the tone and the message for our players, you know, in hindsight, I am thankful that it did happen game one. We were able to have a hard reset and come out and be able to change the narrative. A lot better, you know, week one and then later on in the season. And so yeah, I mean, I think our guys have locked in to the, to the thought of, you know, the practice and the preparations, getting us to, to be able to perform on Saturdays. And so as long as we continue to get a week better, this team is still, you know, there's a lot of new bodies on this team, a lot of new faces. And so we, we are growing week by week right now. And same thing with our quarterback. I mean, he hasn't played just a ton of football still in his career, which I still have to remind myself of. But yeah, I mean, if we can continue to do that and not turn the ball over, I like our chances. Coach, I appreciate your time. I asked you for 10 minutes. You gave me 10 good minutes and good luck to you. Big games coming up. Oklahoma State's definitely a team that everybody's got to watch. Thank you, Coach, for your time. Love your content, man. Appreciate you very much. Oh, wow. That's nice. Let's see. I wouldn't, I wasn't anticipating that one. All right, thanks, coach. Appreciate it.
