WHAT MANNER OF LOVE - PART 3

So we started a series on what one of love two weeks ago. So we have done last Sunday in the previous one. And yeah, we'll continue with the same today. And I am sure we will get. Bless and edify it. Amen. So as usual, we'll do a recap on last Sunday for someone who was not with us. So we read Matthew chapter one. That's where we read Matthew chapter one from us 18 to 23. So I'll do a quick recap of last Sunday. We read Matthew one 18 to 23. He talks about. You know the angel to come to Joseph. He says, Mary shall give, shall bring for the sun, shall call his name Jesus, where shall save his people from their sins. So we saw that Jesus is savior. Jesus is savior. He came to save people from their sins and from the consequences of sin. We also saw from the book of Luke chapter four and verse 18 when Jesus was describing his earthly mission. He says, the spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He sent me to heal the broken hearted to proclaim liberty to the captives and recover your sight to the blind to set at liberty. Those who are oppressed and to proclaim the acceptable. We saw that the Lord is healer. We saw that the Lord is delivered. We saw that the Lord is good. Everything about his ministry points to the fact that he is good and that he's loving. We read chapter eight was Acts 1038. This is how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power who went around doing good and delivering those who are oppressed of the devil or healing those who are oppressed of the devil. So we saw that Jesus is good. Jesus is savior. Jesus is healer. We read John 1010 talks about the thief who comes to steal, kill and destroy. But Jesus said that I've come that men might have life and have life in abundance. So we said that Jesus is not the thief. Jesus distinguishes himself from the thief and from the works of the thief. The thief steals, kills and destroys Jesus gives life. Amen. We also saw in the book of Fast John chapter three and verse 18 that Jesus said that he came to destroy the works of darkness. So we saw that Jesus and the devil they are not in a collab. Am I in a broad based government? Amen. It is the enemy that does evil. It is Satan that plans the works of darkness. It is Jesus that saves. It is Jesus that delivers. It is Jesus that heals. Amen. So we asked ourselves a question. Who do you truly see Jesus as in your life? Do you see Jesus as savior? Do you see Jesus as healer? Do you see Jesus as deliverer? Do you see Jesus as one who works against you? Do you see Jesus as one that causes you pain? Do you see Jesus as one that is out there to frustrate your life? And we say that Jesus, His character has been assassinated for a long time. But thank God for His word that we are changing that. And we are beginning to see Him as He is. Jesus as good. Jesus as the one that saves. The one that heals the one that delivers. And the one that cares for us. Hallelujah. Amen. Hallelujah. So we also saw from Matthew chapter one that verse 23 talks about Jesus as God with us. Amen. Well, God with us. And we said that Jesus is God. Jesus is not like God. He is God. Jesus is God. And we said that is very important. Why? Because it forms a part and a critical part of our faith. If Jesus is not God, then our faith does not make sense. It crumbles from that argument. If you argue that Jesus is not God, then we don't have Christianity. Why? Because Christianity is God. It came in our state. God took our place. God took our place. He has to be God for Christianity to make sense. And that's the difference we mentioned between Christianity and other religions. Other religions they believe Jesus is a prophet. They believe Jesus is a good man. Jesus is a good teacher. But once you mention that Jesus is God, then you have a problem with them. Praise the Lord. We believe that. And we quoted our statements of belief statement number three. If you remember when past the pit and past the net shared our vision and vision statement statement number three says that we are fleek. We believe that Jesus is fully and truly God. And Jesus is fully and truly man. It's part of what we believe as a church. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. So we went ahead and demonstrated for many, many verses that Jesus is God. And the point was you cannot and we cannot truly know who God is except through Christ. So we said theology which is a study of God equals Christ. So we said that we see God in Christ. God cannot be known outside of Christ. We truly know in Christ. So when we preach to you Christ, we are preaching to you God. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. And we said without understanding we can confidently say who God is, what God can do and what God cannot do. Why? Because we know what Christ can do and what Christ cannot do. And therefore we said if Christ is savior, then it means God is savior because Christ is God. If Christ is deliverer, then God is deliverer. If Christ is rescuer, then God is rescuer. If Christ is good, then God is good. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. And we concluded by saying if anyone ever comes to you and tells you that you know God is not a healer. You see you can tell them no. I know God is a healer. Why? Because I have seen Christ heal people. If Christ is healer, then God is healer. If someone tells you know God does not always provide. You can tell them no. I know God provides. Why? Because I've seen in the scriptures. Many, many scriptures. Jesus Christ in his affliminist. Provide over and over and over again. So if Christ is provider, God is provider. Hallelujah. So we can be bold about the character of God. Because we have seen that character in Christ Jesus. Amen. So when we insist on you know we are meaning we are Christ or centric. You know we preach the message of Christ is because in knowing Jesus Christ, we know who God is. So that our brief recap of last Sunday. And so we will continue from there today briefly because today time, time we met a figure Chengakidoko but we believe God that we are improving. Amen. We are. Matthew Chaptawan, we read from quickly for context, we read from verse 20, verse 19, "Then Joseph, "Her husband, "being a just man, "and not willing "to make her public example." Now, this is after Joseph found that Mary had a child by the Spirit. But well, he thought on these things as 20, he beholded the angel of the Lord, appeared unto him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, "Thou son of David, "fear not to take the Mary, thy wife, "for that which is conceived in her, "is of the Holy Ghost, "and she shall bring for the Son, "Thou shall call his name Jesus, "for he shall save his people from their sins." Season, all this was done, that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken of the Lord by the Prophet, saying, "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, "shall bring for the Son, "they shall call his name Emmanuel, "which being interpreted is God with us." Then Joseph being raised from sleep, "Ded as the angel of the Lord had beaten him, "and took unto him his wife, "and knew her not till she had brought forth "her firstborn son, "and he called his name Jesus." So we mentioned a few things last week and said, "We take just take note, "we took note that the Holy Spirit "is mentioned twice in those verses, "we will look at it a bit later." We also noted that Joseph is referred to as the son of David, which will be handled later also. So this prophecy, verse 22, he says, "All this was done, "that it might be fulfilled, "which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet." So this is a prophecy. So Matthew quotes prophet Isaiah. So we're going to look at the context of that verse. So we go to Isaiah chapter 7. Isaiah chapter 7 is where Matthew got his information from, and it's always good, I'm sure we have been taught well enough, in Bible study context matters. Amen. So at least we will understand things as they ought. So I'll read the whole of it. I'll read until verse 14. So we'll read very fast against that we get the context. Isaiah chapter 7. And it came to pass in the days of, "He has the son of Jordan, "the son of Uzziah, King of Judah, "that raised in the King of Syria, "and pek a the son of Ramallah, King of Israel, "went up towards Jerusalem to war against it, "but could not prevail against it." And it was told the house of David, remember Joseph the house of David, we mentioned, and it was told the house of David saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim, and his heart was moved and the heart of his people, as the tree of the wood are moved with the wind. Then said the Lord unto Isaiah, "Go forth now to meet Ahaz, "Thou and sheyah, "shab, jashub thy son, "at the end of the conduit of the Upper Pool, "in the highway of the fuller's field, "and say unto him, 'Take heed and be quiet, "fear not, neither be faint-hearted, "for the two tales of these smoking far brands, "for the fierce anger of Rez'in with Syria, "and of the son of Ramallah, "because Syria, Ephraim, "and the son of Remalia, "have taken evil counsel against thee, saying, "Let us go against Judah and vex it. "Let us make a bridge therein for us, "and set a king in the midst of it, "even the son of Tabael. "For seven, then thus says the Lord God, "it shall not stand, "neither shall it come to pass, "for the head of Syria is Damascus, "and the head of Damascus is Rez'in, "and within three scorned five years, "the head of Damascus shall Ephraim be broken, "they shall not be a people. "Was nine in the head of Ephraim is Samaria, "and the head of Samaria is Remalia's son. "If you will not believe, surely you shall not be established. "Was ten, moreover the Lord spoke again, "saying unto Ehas, ask the assign of the Lord, "I God, ask it, either in the depth "or in the height above. "But Eha said, I will not ask, "I will not ask, ask the Lord, "was that in and he said, "He are ye now, O, house of David. "Is it a small thing for you to every man, "but will ye, every my God also, "and was fourteen, therefore the Lord himself, "shall give you a sign, behold the virgin, "shall conceive and bear son, "and shall call his name Emanuel. "But I in hane shall heat, "that he may know to refuse the evil and choose, "that we could read the whole of it, "but because of time, "who will fikishavas fifteen, "you can go and read Isaiah chapter 7, "He oughte." Amen. So this is the context of that verse, "Emanuel, God with us." So King Ehas was the king of Judah, you read. And he received a report that two kings are planning to come and attack Judah. Now remember, Judah is the kingdom where God reigned. Judah and Israel were once one kingdom, but they broke. But now the Lord God was with Judah. So the king of Judah, Ehas, received a report that two other kings, the king of Israel and the king of Syria, they are planning to attack him. So I want us to see verse two. He says, "He is heart. "The heart of the king was moved "and the heart of his people "as the trees of the wood are moved with wind." "Emanuel in Giza Bariti." See that expression by the scripture. It says, "The hearts were moved like the winds moved, "the tree, amazing." That's so much fear, right? And anxiety and worry. And where they did come from, they had, he had, that they were two kings that are coming against you and your people. It's not a manga, "Tumbu Ikajamaj." And I'm sure we can all identify with them, right? Sometimes you receive the phone call and you're like, "Way, norm." It's like a deputy president, Nifaia Sifaia, "Ninoma, si norm." That when you receive a report, a text message, a call from home, you know, has bands when you receive that text from your wife, we need to talk. And you're under a, you're not my family. Nifaia Sifaia, "Ninoma, si norm." So that's what happened here when the king, my wife doesn't text me that. She's a, "Bachi Azum." She, she, that has nothing to any way. But so the king received the news and he became terrified. He and the people. And the Lord was three, said to Isaiah, "Go forth and meet Ehaz, thou and she adjashub thy son." So, notice something. I want you to see the love of God and the care of God. That news have come, that you know, two people are like, two kings are against you. They have planned our war. They're coming to dethrone you. And the next thing we see is that the Lord is sending a word to that person. He's in the Lord loving. Amen. But even in that state, where you're fearful, you're anxious, you're terrified, you're petrified. Is that an English word? Okay. I'm doing good there. I've been spending time with God, so. Yeah. But we say, but Riga has better English than God's apparently, right? When you're in a life. So, even in that situation, where you're terrified, you're worried, you're anxious, you can be confident. You can be confident that the Lord will send you out. That the Lord will send you help. Praise the Lord. You see, if you read in the book of Hebrews, it says, we have a high priest who is touched with their feeling of our infamities because he himself also was tempted in all manner as we are. Praise the Lord. You see, God and Jesus, they're not removed from what we go through. Praise the Lord. They're not removed from the things we go through. Therefore, even in that state, when you have received that text, when you have received that call, when you have received that letter, even in that state, you can pose, you can breathe in and breathe out and say, the Lord will send me help. The Lord will send me out. And sure he will. He's never failed. Hallelujah. So verse three, he sends Isaiah with a word. Verse four, he says, go tell that King. Take heed and be quiet. It says fear not, neither be faint-hearted. For the two tales of the smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of resin with Syria, and of the sun of Remalia. He says, see the instruction that the Lord gives to this King. He says, take heed and be quiet. Don't be faint-hearted and don't fear. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. You see, that is the same instruction. The Lord is giving to you and to me this day. I don't know what you're going through. I don't know what situation you're facing. I don't know what report you have received, you know, in this past week. I don't know. You may have not received any, but you might receive this week. The Lord is saying, fear not. Don't be faint-hearted. That is the word of the Lord for you and for me in this season and in this situation. But I know you have had reports. I know you have received calls from home, calls from the place of work. They have threatened to suck you. They have threatened not to pay you. They have all manner. The Lord says, fear not. Fear not. Neither be faint-hearted. Now, due to notice what the Lord says, concerning what the two kings were planning to do to King Ehas. He says, now KJV has complicated English. We will read it from another wash up. But let's read fast from KJV. He says, neither be faint-hearted for the two tales of these smoking fire burns, for the fierce anger of resin with Syria and of the sun of Lemma Lea. Now, KJV uses that complex English. But the Lord is saying to the King Ehas. He says, don't fear these two guys. Eha or Nemoto or Yamakarata. That's literally what the Lord is saying. He says, don't fear them. I know they have come with threats. I know they appear to be big. I know they appear to be powerful. But the Lord is saying, this one's these two that have planned against these two that have given you threats. These two, the Lord says, you are overrating them. You are overrating that situation. Seem baya Vilena Kahn. No, not what the Lord says. Ah, Nembaya. Seem baya. Seem baya. You're overrating that situation. You're overrating that report. Umayhaipsaana. That's what the Lord is saying. He says, these two kings that are threatening you, they will come to dethrone you. They will come to do a coup. They will do all of these things. He says, they are a fire that is finishing. In our culture, in our Kikuyu culture, Kunamototanaitanga Motoyama Fefe. So, Mafefe, Ni is the main plant. So, you're motohai kaangi, like vrnaisha. Concelling these threats, concelling these things. He says, don't overrate them so much. Don't hype that situation so much. You know, that thing is that is giving you tension, that is making you anxious, that is making you cry all night. He says, ah. That's what they have said, the kings. Let us make a bridge therein for us and set a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabaya. They even have someone to replace the king. Like Komaji Banga, they have a whole plan to replace the king. But the Lord is saying, ah. Don't fear. They're not that weak. They're not that strong. You're only motoyamaisha. See what the Lord says in verse 7. Since that says the Lord, God, it shall not stand neither shall it come to pass. Amen. Praise the Lord. What a word from the Lord. They're even in the midst of pressure, in the midst of serious anxiety, in the midst of serious warry and pain. Those threats, the Lord says, they shall not stand. They shall not stand. That threat shall not come to be. Praise the Lord. They shall not see your end. They shall not see your fall. They shall not. The Lord has given an assurance himself. Praise the Lord. Therefore you can take heart. You can breathe in. You can breathe out. You can relax. The Lord has given you what? The Lord has given you an assurance. That it shall not stand neither shall it come to pass. He says, for the head of Syria is the mask. And the head of Damascus is resained. And within three, four and five years shall a friend be broken. That it not not be people. Now, I want us to take a detour to the Book of Kings. To read this story. You see, now this is the Book of Isaiah. But this story is in the Book of Kings, yeah? So that we will learn something from the story of King "Eha, so this is the same story, no the different story, same, same story, but now in the book of kings, the second kings, second kings, step to sixteen." He's where the story is found. Again remember we are still finding the context of God with us Emmanuel. So she's in a nice story, "Eha's king," she's in Motayama Fefe, "Nai Manuel in a talker, no we are still finding the context of it." So second kings, step to sixteen. I look over to you, and he said, "Hey, let me see, help elsewhere." So second king sixteen was seven. So Ehas, same story. So Ehas sent messengers to Tigla Pilesa, king of Assyria, saying, "I am disavant and Dyson, come up and save me out of the hand of king of Syria and out of the hand of the king of Israel, which rise up against me." And Ehas took the silver and gold that was found in the house of the Lord and in the treasures of the king's house and sent it for a present to the king of Assyria. And the king of Assyria had condemned to him for the king of Assyria went up against Damascus and took it and carried the people of it captive to key and slew, residing out you to notice something. And I pray that this never happens to any of us, that the Lord has sent help. The Lord has sent his word, but we choose to look for help elsewhere. King Ehas, even after receiving the word from the Lord, he still went out to look for help elsewhere. And see how he does it. In verse seven, he goes to the king of Assyria. And you know what he says to the king of Assyria? He says, "I am your servant. I am your son." Imagine. This is the king of Judah, who is God's servant, who is God's son. But because a message has come that butter is on the way, because I have received this message. He forgets who he is. He forgets that he is the servant of the Lord Most High. He forgets that he is the son of God Most High. He shifts that attention, that focus, that identity. He takes it elsewhere. He takes it to a Gentile king and says to this king, "I am your servant. I am your son. Come save me from these people." Praise the Lord. You see, by the help of God, "Numata the pressure, nomata the anxiety, nomata the report that in the name of Jesus, we shall not forget who we are in Christ. We shall never forget despite the pressure, despite the report. At no time shall we forget that we are sons of God. Shall we never forget that we are servants of God just because of a difficult situation and a difficult circumstance. That therefore we take our attention away from our father and from our God and take it elsewhere and pledge our allegiance and loyalty to something and to someone else other than our God." You see, that's a tragedy. Praise the Lord. Because in the end, it ends bitterly for this king. It ends bitterly for this king. And remember, the Lord had already sent a word. So it's not like God is quiet. It's not like God is not doing anything. It's not like, no. The Lord had sent king Ahaz a word through Isaiah the prophet. These threats are not as big as you think they are. They shall not come to pass. They shall not be fulfilled yet even with those words from the Lord. He, King Ahaz, still went out to look for help elsewhere. He even had to denounce his identity. He's saying to a king, another king, other than God, that I am your son. I am your servant. He goes ahead and takes the things that are in the temple of the Lord and sends them as present to a gentile king to try and appease him to get help. Yet the help he was looking for was right there with him. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. May that never be our abosure. Amen. That we will choose to be steel. That's what he said. That's that's the word of the Lord. He says be quiet. Don't fear. Be steel. The Lord is saying that situation, that circumstance, no matter how terrible, how great it looks in your eye. He says, it will not have our well-being. It will not finish you. Praise the Lord. You don't have to seek for help elsewhere. You know, in the world they say, you know, that's what they say. Today I'm speaking in a lot of Greek. But the Lord has helped ready for you and for me every time. Praise the Lord. There's a reason the spirit of God is called helper. The Holy Ghost is called helper and that helper leaves in you forever. So you have the helper in you and with you all the time 24/7. So you are never without help. Remember that phrase from Pastor Peter? On one as they as those leading prayer, he said, we are never without help. Praise the Lord. So despite and in spite of the situation and the circumstance, you should not be like King Ahas who went seeking for help from other kings and from elsewhere. You see, in this kingdom, this kingdom, in this family of God, it is where your help is. You know, they say, oh, the grass is greener. It is alive. Praise the Lord. Outside there, there is no hope. It is only in Christ that there is hope. It is only in Christ that we have help. It is only in Christ that there is salvation. It is only in Christ that there is peace. It is only in Christ that you find strength. Let the enemy never, never lie to me or to you. You can't be sorted out elsewhere except here. Praise the Lord. And you have to settle that in your heart that the Lord is actually my only help. There's something we shall pray there for says, he says, I don't want it if the Lord didn't give it. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. I only want what the Lord gives. Because what the Lord does not give will not satisfy or the Lord will not give is not eternal or the Lord will not give comes with sorrow. Is there is a verse in the book of Proverbs, he says, the blessing of the Lord added no sorrow. Amen. "Yet he has already given his word that I am the Lord God, do you provide?" The world will present you options. Praise the Lord. We see when Abraham, when he received the promise that he will get a song. "You know who gave Abraham the option, the wife." "Bi bi Abraham dalwambia." "Hey, come on, hey, Imaneno." "Ni ko nakamutwa." "No, I have someone." The promise of God already there. The promise of God already spoken. He will always be an option. Praise the Lord. So it is up to us by the help of God to stand firm. And how will we stand firm against these options that come? It is always being a sure of who we are in Christ Jesus. That we are sure that I am God's Son, that I'm a sure that I have the help with me. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. So we're still investigating and looking at the context of Imanuel God with us, hallelujah. Now, we've seen-- let's go back now to Isaiah. Isaiah chapter 7, where we were. So we've seen from this portion of Scripture, that truly, the king, Al-Qua, in quotes. Al-Qua justified, quote, or it. And now in quotes, in quotes, yeah? Because of the report he had had and because of everything. You know, we've read that these are the kings. They were not joking. They even had someone ready to replace him. And I want us to think along these lines and look at other scriptures. But in life, in life, situations, succumbences, threats, pressure will always come. We are not immune to those things. Pressure had days, difficult seasons, difficult succumbences will always be parts of life. Praise the Lord. We will always be part of life. And because we know that these things will always be part of life. What do we do? And I want us to look at a few scriptures. So I don't want us to be ignorant and assume that our lives will be new, no challenge, no hiccup, no pressure. That would be a lie. Praise the Lord. And we've seen that over and over in the scriptures. If we read Isaiah 54, we know that verse. We can quote it for our team. But let us read Isaiah 54 and verse 7, "Tim." No weapon that is formed against visual prosper. And every time that tries against the judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. And their righteousness is of me, says the Lord. So again, we see here that weapons will be formed. The Lord does not say that weapons will not be formed. No. He says weapons will be formed. There shall be tongues that will try to rise against you. Praise the Lord. But now their assurance he gives to us is that even when weapons are formed, so you see, when you go and see our point formed against you, we see sh too came. You will remember that. I will say that weapons will be formed. When you hear a tongue trying to rise against you, you see, it's in the scriptures, tongues will, and people will be used to rise against. Their assurance we have is that that weapon shall not prevail in its work. Praise the Lord. So where should our focus be on the weapon, on the tongues that try to rise against us, or on God's word, on God's word? Praise the Lord. That's where our focus should be. When I go and find weapons that are being formed against me, I will not start analyzing the weapons. I say, yeah, I can't do clear. He'll be OK for this. I know. He'll be normal. He'll be like the subana. He'll be like the gullia that he'll be going on. You see, you can spend time analyzing the weapon. He'll be like, yeah, he'll be normal. You see, the more you analyze the weapon, the more you get into fear. Praise the Lord. The more you keep analyzing it, I do not have a chat GPT. Can't stone. Drone five meters away from a pastor. Keila vasa. Sometimes we do that. And sometimes it's a normal headache. Like me headache. All of us are the last three devils. They were in the crafty side. Just a normal headache. I'm on the other side of the work. Pimp on up. Hey, do you have a chat GPT? This simple pimple is the design of cancer. Suit really. And the power of God is potent enough to heal any kind of disease, sickness and infamity. So whenever we are faced with any disease and infamity, our confidence is we have the power of God. We don't even care what name that disease goes behind. We don't care. Give it all the names. We don't care. And the power of God will handle it. Amen. Praise the Lord. So weapons will be formed. People will say what man of things they want to say. But our assurance is from the Father that the weapon shall not prevail against you. Hallelujah. Amen. He says, I know there will be arrows that fly by day and arrows that fly by night. I know there will be nois some pestilence. Now you know what? The Lord is my refuge. The Lord is my fortress. See where the focus is. The focus is on the word of the Lord, on the Lord, not on the arrow of the night. He says, I know there will be noisiness. So, and that, that emoji. So I've written here, what keeps us going is the word of God we have received and the word of God we have responded to. That God always sends His people His Word. At any point in life, God always sends His people His Word. Every and again, it is His Word that sustains us when the pressures of life arise. It is God's Word that sustains us when the pressures of life arise. So I'll read three more verses and then we will end it there. We will continue next Sunday. Now, if you read Luke chapter one, Luke chapter one, it is a story of Mary. Mary received a prophecy that she will still in line with, you know, she will give birth. Now, she asks the angel, how that will happen. Yeah. And the angel explains in verse 35, Luke chapter one verse 35, the angel answered and said unto her, the Holy Ghost shall come upon thee and the power of the highest shall of a shadu thee. Therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. And let's go to verse 38 and Mary said after the angel had spoken to Mary, this is what Mary said. Mary said, behold the hand made of the Lord be ate unto me according to thy word and the angel departed from her. Now, I want us to borrow from this. This is how we respond to God's Word. This is how to respond to God's Word. How do you respond to God's Word by saying let it be unto me as it has been spoken? You know the phrase we say, amen, amen means that. Amen means let it be so. That's how we respond to God's Word. Yes, I know the pressure is too much. Yes, I know this situation is tough. Yes, I know things look, you know, very ugly on the outside. But what has God said? God has said that this situation will not have a well-me. God has said this situation will not defeat me. God has said that he is here to give me a word. What do I say? How do I respond? I will respond and say let it be unto me as the Lord has spoken. And I will take that word that the Lord has said and put it in my mouth and say it. Amen. I will take what God has said. I will put that word in my mouth and I will begin saying it. God's Word in your mouth is as powerful as God's Word in his mouth. There is no difference. That what the Lord said concerning you. Take it, put it in your mouth. Say it. Say it. That's how to stand and remain firm. Say it. These things will come. Pressure will come. Life will come. How to withstand? Take God's Word. Put it in your mouth. Keep speaking it. Keep saying it. That's how we remain focused on the Word of God. What 45 says and blessed is she that believed for there shall be a performance of those things which were told half from the Lord. Amen. See, when we believe what God says, there is a performance of that word. There is a performance of that word. If you remember Isaiah 7, when we read about King Ehaz, verse 7 says, when you, if you shall not believe, you shall not be established. Amen. So for us to see the fulfillment of God's Word in our lives, we have to believe it. We have to take it in our mouth. We have to pray. We have to keep saying it. So that our focus is on that Acts chapter 26. This is the second last verse. Read Acts 27. Sorry. Acts 27. Acts 27. You know today I am very encouraged because as I preach, I am seeing the tea and the tea, Amen. See, the Lord has always to encourage His servants as they do the work. And we thank Him for that. Amen. Yeah, but we had agreed to be put bread there also. Bread would have brought much encouragement. In you, Acts 27. So Paul, they are encountering a sheepwreck. And so Paul had given instructions to those people on what to do. They didn't listen to him. And so fast 21. But after long abstinence, Paul stood forth in the midst of them and said, "Sas, you should have hackened unto me." So you are in the same class with Paul. Paul tells them, "Sas, you should have hackened unto me and not have loosed from the creed and to have gained this hum and loss." And now I exert you to be of good cheer, for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you but of the sheep. Verse 23. For they are stood by me this night, the angel of God, who I am and whom I have, saying, "Fear not, Paul. Thou must be brought before Caesar, and Lord God has given thee all them that sail with you." "Therefore, Sas, be of good cheer, for I believe God, Thou shall be even as it was told me, Amen." What a way to respond to God's word. Verse 25. I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me. That's how to respond. In the midst of that pressure, tough situation, what you can hold on is that word of God. And even in tears, you can say, "I believe God." Now what he said shall come to pass. I believe God. Praise God. You see, we listen to a pastor, a man of God, by the name of Pastor Chris on I Income. And he says, "He has learnt over time. He learnt it from his dad. He had this from his dad, so he took it upon himself." He said, "He's dad. Anytime." You know, just randomly to utter a kuna, to happen, you know, by or something. His dad randomly would keep saying, "I believe God." Just from the blues to work, "Tempe a cabra-barra."
