What 20 Years of Peptide Use Taught Me (Most Experts Won't Say This)
50m 59s
In this urgent podcast, Ben Poculski addresses the complex landscape of peptide use, emphasizing both their potential as a healthcare breakthrough and the significant risks involved. He explains that while peptides are promising, the FDA's recent actions to regulate certain peptides are justified due to safety concerns, particularly regarding contaminants like heavy metals and endotoxins that may be present in products sourced from unreliable manufacturers, especially from China. Poculski stresses that individual responses to peptides vary based on genetics and health, and incorrect protocols can lead to adverse effects. To combat misinformation, he promotes a paid masterclass designed to educate listeners on safe sourcing, proper usage sequences, and understanding peptide mechanisms, sharing his own research and protocols. The goal is to empower informed decisions, prevent harm, and optimize benefits, as peptides should be viewed as targeted signals rather than universal cures.
Hey, everybody, Ben Poculski in the Muscle Intelligence podcast. I thought I would do this podcast a bit urgently here in Costa Rica, celebrating my birthday, actually, because the landscape of the peptide world really requires someone who has an understanding. And to be honest, no pony in the race to give you guys perspective on what's actually happening and what you need to be concerned with. Because I haven't seen any experts step up and do this. And it's really important that we don't paint a panacea. We don't paint with this rainbow color brush. Everything's going to be great in peptides. I want to give you a deeper look at the landscape and what's actually happening in the peptide space today. So make no mistake that peptides are absolutely the future of healthcare. And the FDA is also not incorrect in banning the top 19 most frequently used peptides. And this podcast, I'm going to tell you why, what you need to be concerned with, why you shouldn't be buying things randomly from China. And ultimately, if you are purchasing peptides to know your sourcing, I'm going to tell you exactly what you need to be looking for, no fear among green. I'm not going to be speaking from peptides being the cure all to everything. I'm literally going to be going through the research, the day, the mechanisms. You need to understand if you truly want to understand how to make it informed decision whether or not you should or be should not be using peptides. All right, ladies and gentlemen, I want to tell you about a special event I'm hosting this week, a peptide masterclass with yours truly. I'm going to be giving you so much information around what's happening in the landscape of peptides today. I'm going to teach you about sourcing where peptides are coming from. The fact that there's literally only seven proper manufacturers in China. There's many manufacturers, but the seven that most people in the world get, including from civil companies that you want to know about, you want to know ultimately about what is positive about those companies and what you must absolutely be avoiding. Second, I want to teach you about the law of sequence when it comes to peptides, doing things in the wrong order of operations, not just in the daily order, but over the scope of weeks and months, doing things out of order can actually have a significant negative effects in your results. I've helped men lose 60 to 80 pounds of body fat only using peptides as a little augment to solve specific challenges. But that's not there to lose fat. They're not there to help you lose all your body fat. They're there to help augment the constraints in the system. I'm going to teach you how to think about that and ultimately the exact order of operations. You're going to leave with a new paradigm on how to think about peptides. I'm not going to complicate things and it'll keep them unbelievably simple. And I'll teach you how the Godfather of peptides, Dr. Vladimir Kavinson, Vladimir Putin's personal longevity doctor literally thought about exactly how everyone should be using peptides. He's the guy who created all this stuff. He's the guy who is doing the research for 50 years. Well, before I ever came to North America, he was doing it in Russia and had so much remarkable research. I've dove into that at length with one of his lab assistants and saw tremendous benefit. And finally, I teach you about synergies, synergistic protocols. Why certain things should be taken together and certainly in certain orders and dosing. So ultimately, you're not making mistakes. One of the biggest mistakes people are making is one taking the wrong things to the wrong sources and three, the wrong protocols. So my job or my opportunity with this masterclass is to teach you how to master thinking about peptides, not just now and forever, and hopefully save you tons of time and hopefully thousands of dollars in making massive mistakes in your sourcing. On this masterclass, I teach you my sources and teach you how I think about getting things from China fun time to time. And now I find things in North America that are highest sourcing. We're going to dive into energy. And peptides, we're going to dive into peptides or fat loss recovery, muscle, longevity, sleep healing, so much more. And I'll say it again, I am not a medical doctor. So we want to come and learn from some of these on the performance side doing a lot of research on myself. I generally run protocols for about 30 days at a time, sometimes a little less. Just so I don't understand what's going on. I comb through all the research during that time. And I can give you some of my subjective and objective data as well as give you an insight and to have to think about it for yourself. And don't be interested in mastering peptides for yourself. Research, you use only peptides, head over to muscleintelions.com/peptides and sign it now. Now this is a paid webinar. Why is it a paid masterclass? Because I'm going to be giving you so much value. And if you're one of the first 20 people to sign up, I'm actually going to give you a one-to-one call to understand how to take that information and apply directly to yourself. Because I'm giving away all my secrets. I'm giving you my protocols. I'm giving you everything I do that people are literally paying me thousands of thousands dollars to write their protocols. I've seen remarkable success. And I've also seen honestly people hurt themselves and I don't want to see yourself too. muscleintelions.com/peptides. See that? Our peptides incredibly, incredibly useful. Yes. Is it an incredibly new space? In one sense, yes. And in one sense, no. I've previously confessed that I've been using peptides since the early 2000s, like 2004, 2005 maybe when I was in university, when I was literally importing that personally, but I was using things imported from China, like IGF, MGF, Peg MGF. These are things that young bodybuilders were like, hey, you got to use this. I had no idea what I was doing. In fact, I'd used a couple of them, one specifically, and I got a bad reaction at the injection site. And I was like, well, I'm not using this. And all my buddies kept doing it. Like, oh, it's sort of part of the course. And I was like, no, no, man. So luckily for me, I wasn't an idiot when I was young. And now looking back at what I see now in the research, I understand what we're going to see. And I was like, well, I'm not going to be a doctor. I'm not going to be a doctor. you are. However, I'm also against really intelligent people making really uneducated decisions or at least uninformed decisions and specifically injecting things into the body that you know nothing about. And the reason I know this is because I'm guilty I did it for so many years I had no idea. Luckily for me I was smart enough to make one mistake early on where I'd used a peptide from China that really didn't feel very good. And so I was very, very resistant throughout my career to use anything that wasn't directly coming from my doctor or directly coming from a foreign pharmaceutical company. So I went to extreme measures to try to find everything I could coming from an North American pharmaceutical company, which is the still the approach that I take and still the approach I incurred you to take. And now there are certainly useful and approved compounding pharmacies. We're going to go through that today. So let's talk about this. There's three levels of classification of peptides. The highest use is going to be pharmaceuticals and I'll differentiate in this podcast what the difference is. And then we're looking at like a 503A 503B compounding pharmacy. And beneath that we're looking at research use. And so what what are the differences in these molecules? So when you buy something off of one of these research use only websites that says 99.9% purity or 99.5% per year 98.7% purity. Gosh, that's really good. It says, you know what? This has it's got 10 milligrams of red or true tidied in or 10 milligrams of acid 31. And that's what the test actually says. You can literally send this to an HLPC test and come back with 99.5% purification. And guess what? There's still 0.05% there that could be what what does that other 0.05% it's a really small amount. But if it contains things like heavy metals, endotoxins like LPS or TFA, these things could literally cause death. And it's not me being hyperbolic. These are things that are extremely, extremely potentially dangerous if they're in high amounts. That's one level of concern that I have for myself, certainly my family or people I know and love using things coming from China. What I'm saying is research peptides coming from China could very well be 100% accurate on the dosing. What they may not be accurate on is the toxins that potentially come with that. So there's really three things you have to be concerned with. You have to be concerned with heavy metals. So we could be looking at getting things like mercury and aluminum in there, maybe lead, maybe arsenic, other things that could potentially come with solid phase peptide synthesis, S, P, P, S. These things are very common inside solid phase peptide synthesis. You could also being exposed to something called endotoxin, which is LPS and TFA, the most common. These are the ones, but those are the most common that were coming peptides. And those things could cause unbelievably bad circumstances in the body. And you wouldn't necessarily know if someone has a weak immune system or they'll run down the instant reaction. Maybe gosh, you know, my skin got a little bit red. It got a little irritated around the injection side and people say, oh, they just left a little too much alcohol in there or something. No, that's not necessarily true possible, but not necessarily true. Or you know, gosh, I got a little fever after I did this. I got a little flushed guy. You must just be what to your immune system. maybe it's something really toxic left in the peptides. So without getting to
far off track and being hyperbolic. And I don't want to certainly be fear-mongering. I just want to create an awareness around there's levels of purity that exist in this game. So while I believe that pep duds are the future, I also actually stand for the first time in a bit of maybe my life with the FDA and saying, hey, these things should not be administered without knowing complete purity testing. So just because it says 99% pure particle or molecule doesn't mean that other 0.1% isn't something that's bad. Now, is it going to hurt you right away? Maybe not. Most people like probably millions at this point are using pep duds that are either somewhere between 100% great 0.1% not very good or 1% or even more toxin. Now, if you have a great immune system, you're really healthy. You're probably fine. Not going to see a big difference. If you already have a high toxic burden, you already have high liver stress or poor liver function. Maybe you have a poor immune function. You're a compromised person. You're going to experience much, much more likely side effects from these things. So it's not going to work equally for all people. And that's a really, really, really important point to drive home. So first, the molecules will work different in your body. So red and true tide for you and red and true tide for me will not do the same thing. BPC and TV 500 and SS 31 and all the GHRK2 dogs do not work the same in everyone's body mechanistically. We know they do the same thing, but we don't actually know what my genetics will cause as far as differences. We have we all very subtle and some drastic genetic differences that can influence how your body interacts with these molecules. We also have different current physiological internal realities, which means like what's happening in my blood work, what's happening in my hormones, what's happening in my stress levels, my inflammatory burden, my cortisol levels, my stress, my immune system. These things really play into how your body interacts with that signal. So when you think of a peptide, I want you to think of it as a signal stimulus. Very strong stimulus, right. The reason these peptides work is because there's very specific. So we should define a peptide. What's a peptide. It's between three and 50 actually a lot more than 50 can be several hundred sequences or sequence of individual amino acids, which is the building blocks of proteins think about chain links. And if we build them in different sequences, they actually code for different proteins or peptides in the body that can cause different events or reactions or processes or cascades to happen the body. So I mean, it's going to create some type of response. And the truth is, there's a lot of things that can happen between when you administer a peptide and what happens and reaction to that. Now, the beautiful thing about injection is that you bypass the the oral breakdown, you bypass the digestive tract, that allows you to get this peptide into your circulatory system without any impedance and that's really, really good. And really, really bad. Why? Because if it comes with toxins, if it comes with things that shouldn't be there, those two are also going into a butcher. Now, as I said, if you're healthy, chances are you're not going to notice you're not going to notice the LPS. You're not going to notice the TFA. You may not notice the mercury in the beginning. But over time, you know, maybe you get a little itchy skin, maybe you see your liver marker starts to elevate a little bit. Maybe you start to lose your sleep, maybe your heart rate goes up a little bit. These are all immediate indications of your immune system reacting to something that shouldn't be there. Now, if you have a strong immune system, you're good for someone who's over time more and more compromised. You could very well be in for a very, very bad response from the stuff. So why am I telling you this and why is this important because the media right now is jumping all over this, this binary reality where they're saying, or this binary perspective, not a reality, this binary perspective with saying peptides are the future. And you're going to see it on CNN, you're going to see it on Fox News, everybody's doing peptides, everybody's doing those impact and trizapotide and really true tide. And all these weight loss peptides that truly do work. And then they're saying the other side of it, which is, there's researches, peptides being injected from China, which is true. And everyone's going to get really, really sick or that they tend to be very extreme when their opinions don't they. And the truth is, you may not get sick. You may be one of the majority of people who never season negative effect. However, cumulatively over time. These things that up most people are not injecting one single peptide, they're injecting multiple peptides. And so you're injecting three, four, five, six peptides at a time. Now listen, I love peptides. I think they're amazing. I think the future. I don't think there's going to be a no beast person left in the world in 10 years. I really don't. I don't think there's any reason to. I don't think there's going to be people who are addicted to drugs and alcohol anymore in 10 years. I think we're going to be doing unbelievable things in this world. In fact, there's a recent research study that came out that showed people are literally building peptides for you and for me, based on exact specific things we need in their body. There's going to be some consideration on gene editing, which is, I think, the future of all our well-being. And peptide uses, which is really turning on and off specific genes in the body. So what an incredible future. We have ahead of us. I know the world is in a bit of a crazy place at times, but I think there's the future is so unbelievably bright. If you start to think critically, stop following the BS narratives. You see all over social media for the love of goodness, get off of social media. You know, use it minimally. Don't certainly use it as your primary source of information. Look a little bit deeper. In fact, I'm really blown away that no quote unquote in experts or influencers have done a podcast speaking about this. Not that I know anyways, but I'm not that a listener. Everyone's podcast, but there's some legitimate concerns here. So let's navigate the landscape of this together. Shall we? So if I look at what peptides are and how many different types of peptides are, I think that's probably a useful way to start categorizing things in your mind. So there's about nine different categories of peptides. And in no particular order, I want to walk through those and then we'll walk through sort of how these things may be classified. Some of them are already FDA approved, which means generally, you can get them from a pharmacy, you can get them from a compounding pharmacy. That means for the most part, those will be not only 99.9% pure, but also have the absence of endotoxins and heavy metals, very, very important. So let's walk through these one of the nine categories. You can have some classifications in your mind to help you get an educated consumer or an educated research. So first, no particular order, we have GH to create a gods and things that influence animalism and body composition. So there's a long number of these. And you're not going to remember all these names if you need to stop. This is going to be very long. In fact, what I'll do is I'll put together a research guide for you a reference guide. So you can actually go through and look at the 2026 reference guide on all peptides, what they do and what the classification is on these things. So we have CJC 1295 upper morale and GHARP to GHARP 6. Sumeral and hexerolon test and morale and MK677, which is called called the beauty meron. IGF LR3 MGF, which is mechanical with factor, AOD 96.04, which is just a fragment of HGH. We have false that in through 15 false that in 344 and peg MGF. That's a lot. And those are all super, super different, super, super specific. Two of them, maybe more are currently FDA approved, which I mean not scheduled to schedule two. So scheduled to means the FDA has safety concerns. I think actually there's probably more to think just for these that are if math, maybe even five that are currently FDA approved. So what are the ones that FDA approved CJC was just put back on the schedule to list. So are category two. So they have some safety concerns. I think somebody died taking CJC and a permeral and from not mistaken. I don't think it was related. I think if I'm recalling the study correctly, they'll quote me on this. There was someone who had I believe he was late stage AIDS. There's an AIDS study any past one person from taking this stuff. And that caused a lot of concern for people right, rightfully so. So what else we look at GH are P6 is approved. So Mel, Somorellen is approved. Tess Amorellen is approved. IGF one is also approved. I think that's all for different mechanisms. And there's that mean all of these are useful for all people know. They has a very specific indication. So what's the indication for IGF? Well, if someone has low IGF, it actually can be significantly impactful to their ability to build and retain muscle. So we actually want to have significantly high levels of IGF early in life. And then generally lower levels late in life tends to be better for longevity. But this is what we call it downstream mediator of growth hormone. So growth hormone is upstream in the pathway. IGF is downstream. You know, it's almost too much time on second category. We have tissue repair and healing peptides. And most of you would hear of these things by now, most of you have heard of BPC 157 TV 500 GHK, which by the way, I think is maybe the most miraculous peptide one of certainly K PV has been hot lately, which is an anti inflammatory peptide both for gut skin and neural inflammation. L, L 37 is incredible for anti microbial and wound healing, ARA to 90, 5,000 alpha one, which is amazing. It's actually legally prescribed in every other than US. So useful in the look at. And then that's all for that one.
So category three, we have longevity, anti-aging, and cellular health. So let's review. So category one is GH, category two is tissue healing. Now, when I say categories, I should clarify. I don't mean categories as far as classification that by the FDA. I simply mean to sort of sort them in your brain. Here's the nine categories that exist. So because what people do is they just go, well, shit, I get this message just daily. Should I use BPC? I'm like, well, for what? I should I use GHK? I don't know, for what? Should I use SS31? I have no idea what you should use. How the hell am I supposed to want you to use? I'm not just going to spew random words at you. And be like, oh, do this protocol and take this peptide. What problem are you trying to solve? So the way you should be looking at this, ladies and gents, is what problem am I trying to solve? If most people with some version of energy, sleep, recovery, muscle building, fat loss, weight loss, brain optimization, some version of that, you're like, OK, what's the-- that's great. That's the outcome we're trying to achieve. What's the constraint in the system? So if we were to look at your genetics and your blood and your stool, we'd say, what is the very thing holding you back? So when I coach people, I literally look at what I call a seven-part diagnostic. So I look at genetics. Sometimes I even look at epigenetics. We look at blood. We look at urine. We look at stool. We look at sleep and stress data. We look at VO2 max. We look at body fat dating. We look at strength and mobility metrics. We look at seven different things. And then I can go, what's the single point of constraints in the system? Where is this system being blocked? And how do I unwind that? For many people, it's stress and energy production. So it makes sense that these mitochondrial peptides are front and center right now when it comes to everything when it comes to longevity. Because most people have to fix the energy problem before they can fix anything else. So sometimes we're stressed from chronically being overwhelmed and overwhelmed with too much to do. And we get stuck into these loops of stimulants, things that we shouldn't. We're doing poor sleep when we get stuck into these loops. So then we have to do. We have to fix sleep and energy at the same time. Now, I've done podcasts and before I'll do podcasts. Again, for someone who's stuck in the poor sleep and overstimulated loop, then you have to adjust those first. And the way you adjust that is by adjusting your circadian rhythm. I often talk about the requirement of stabilizing the system before you optimize the system. Everyone in the world is trying to throw peptides on a fire that is burning too hot. And you just simply can't do it. You can't ask a body to lose body fat by sucking away all of its recovery mechanism. Calories doesn't work. You have to stabilize the system. What does that mean? Stabilize means I need to stabilize the times that you wake and sleep. Stabilize means maybe I need to stabilize your aerobic fitness. Maybe I need to stabilize your sleep. Maybe I need to stabilize your calorie intake before I take any away, so you don't have any significant away. I want the body to stabilize. Why do I think that? Because if I take away your calories and ask you to do more cardio, I ask you to do more workouts. I'm adding more stress to the system. I'm taking away the very thing you need to recover from it. So the likelihood of you succeeding is very low. So most people fail when it comes to body transformation. They certainly fail when it comes to adhering to longevity and modalities, not because it's their fault, is because the protocol was broken to begin with. They're taking a bunch of peptides that they have no idea how they work. And they're just like, I'm not sure if it's working. Gosh, if that's you, please don't do that. Please start with some type of extensive testing first. Once a year, at least, you should be doing full panel testing with your doctor or with your healthcare practitioner. We have a team of healthcare practitioners that work with us or we literally test everything in your blood. We look at everything in your metabolism through your nose. We look at everything in your microbiome, provide you with digestive issues. You have to do that generally at least once a year with us. And then we can make a really good indication or a really good recommendation. I'll hear what peptides do you actually need. And I'll tell you what, if your gut is dysfunctional and you have digestive problems with bloating or diarrhea or any peptide you're taking is not gonna work, it simply won't. If you don't fix your digestion, you're sleeping, your energy first, you don't stand a chance, poison girls, so you're wasting your time. So let's come back into category three, what I call category three, longevity, antiaging and cellular health, which is sort of mitochondrial function as well. So in no particular order, I categorize these based on the ones that sort of fit into that quote unquote, longevity realm. So we have Epitalan, which is incredible, incredible peptide discovered by Dr. Vitamere Cavinson or Russia in the 70s. And you've seen just unbelievable things, both in animals and in humans, as far as reversing biological age, improving circadian rhythm. This is the one that Dr. Cavinson actually said that every single human should be on to fix their circadian rhythm first, before they do anything else. So the two things he said everyone should be on, his protocol specifically, is Epitalan in thymusin alpha one, which is an immune modulating peptide, specifically improving the thymus gland. Thymus is the center of the immune system. Epitalan works on the pineal gland, which is the center of the circadian rhythm. So this is the wake cycles. And if you don't fix those two things, this is nothing else works, which I strongly agree with. Moving on, we have MOTC, which is a mitochondrial drive peptide. Basically it can help, it's sort of like an exercise momenta, it can help to stimulate AMPK, which is an energy signaling molecule, it's telling the body that you're kind of burning through more energy, which is wonderful. SS31, I think this is probably my favorite new peptide, at least new to me in the last 12 months. FDA approved for Barth syndrome. And what Barth syndrome is, is a mitochondria of the function. This is a mitochondrial membrane stabilizer, which basically means that mitochondria can become leaky. They can, as energy passes through the mitochondria, the so-called citric acids like, or the electron transport chain, it can become leaky. And if it becomes leaky, yet free radicals are falling out, the energy production slows down. And SS31 has amazing, amazing benefits for people in a lot of research to actually reverse that effect. I've had personal experience with it, and it's, for me, end of one, unbelievable. It's also got some amazing benefits for reversing any type of heart damage, if it ends at a heart attack, or any type of mild cardiomy function. We have human and which is a mitochondria peptide, not the biggest fan of that one, I think it's okay. Fox04, we have Fox03 as well, GHKCU, which I think is amazing. I mentioned that one. Canila on is an incredible brain peptide, specifically for the pineal gland. I would got a bunch of other ones that fit under that category as well, but I'm not gonna spend too much time on that. So why would we take longevity and anti-aging and cellular health peptides? So grouping those together might be a little negligent on my part, because they shouldn't necessarily all be certainly grouped together, and they certainly all have different mechanisms and pathways and benefits. But the first two that I recommend for myself, and already, I mean, all the research generally will say, is epitelin and thymus and alpha one, would be the two foundational things. Protocol there that Dr. Cavinson recommended, actually, he uses them in as bio-regulators. And he said, bioregulators are orally bioavailable, basically work like a homeopathic, where you have a very small amount and you take them up perpetually. So he actually, I was very blessed to be able to work with Dr. Cavinson's lab assistant and wrote of his lab assistant 15 years ago. And he wrote a protocol for me that had epitelin and thymus and alpha one, bioregulator equivalents, every day, for a year. He said, do these don't stop until you fix these things. And my sleep improved massively. My immune system improved massively. My dentist improved a lot. And then every 30 days, I would cycle in and out of other bio-regulators under his guidance, which was an incredible 12 month experience. I never shared the results of that. This is probably a couple of years ago now. I think it was subtle. I think that the brain health sleep health was, I turn back my sleep 20 years. I've recently, by the way, I'll show this. I just redid my epigenetic test, my biological age test. So when I did it when I was done bodybuilding, I retired bodybuilding at 35. I didn't think I did the epigenetic test at 38. And my biological age came back at 54. And that one's stung. No one's stung. I think it was 38 in the biological age of 54. So plus 16 years, I was like, okay, well, do something about it. So I recently turned, actually today, I turned 45. And my biological age now is 42. So I reversed my biological age by 12 years and added, I had, I was seven years older. So really I reversed my biological age by about 20 years, which is remarkable just in the span of seven years. And this is simply by living in harmony with my genes in my environment and my mind ultimately. So I believe there needs to be a symbiotic relationship between your genetics or lifestyle in your environment. Environment means people and it means your life choices. It means your business, it means your vocation, it means your passions. So I'm very blessed to be able to have an incredible family and incredible job that I love. I love working with incredible men over 40 to get them in the best shape of life. And it's not just about the way you look. It's doing all this stuff, right? It's like how do we lead someone to be their best ever? Anyways, I'll keep moving. So cat's category three, category four, cognitive and neurological function. These go really deep. And so you can go very, very wide on these as well. Go into your tropics and such. But there's really only a couple that fit into this category neatly that we should probably be looking at. Certainly some of them have FDA approval. In fact, so C-Lank has FDA approval for decreasing anxiety and improving cognitive function. I actually put my dad on this as a nasal spray. Well, you know, that goes C-max is incredible for brain and every BDNF, a regulation and focus. Die hexa is something that I've only Thank you.
times that everyone I talked to says this is like the goat. And I want to get it personally. So you're able to lie. So I'm a little sketchy on. So I know it's it's has a future. But right now, I'm a little sketchy on it because I don't think the sourcing on it's right yet. So I'm I'm hopeful on that one. Penielon again fits into this category DSIP is another one that fits into cognitive function and maybe sleep. Haven't used it personally, I'm used for a long period of time. So I'm not going to give you any personal anecdotal suggestions there. But if you look at some of the research on these things, like what actually has research behind to see line cares, research, researchers behind it. Dehex, I think is in phase two clinical trials. So they're actually trying to do some interesting stuff and dehex is specifically is for brain regeneration. So see, but I couldn't tell you to be honest, that's in any type of clinical trials yet. Because I know my recollection is synthetic or derived from pig brains, so it's not not feeling it. Number five, metabolic and weight management. So you guys know these ones right now. It's ozemic. It's tersempatitis red, true type. True type, by the way, is not yet legal from pharmacies. Still not approved. I think they're saying it's going to be improving 2027. And SS 31 also not legally approved, although incredibly widely used. What else is interesting for metabolic and weight management? MOTC, we were talking with that a little bit, AOD 96 and four, not a huge fan. Five of me know one, I'm used very interesting increasing NAD plus increasing potentially fat cell shrinkage and there's some, there's some research on fat loss. Antesimural and fits into this category as well as being really, really useful. Actually, this is the one indication. I think it's AIDS patients for losing visceral fat is the indication there by the FDA. So number six, we have sexual health, just a few things that fit here. If you've ever used melanotan, you know what I'm talking about. There's definitely some sexual stimulating both thoughts and responses to melanotan two. Unfortunately, it makes you a little nauseous and makes it pretty weird looking tan. But useful is peptide and unless PT 141 has been massively advocated for recently, specifically, I think in women from proving sexual function, sexual desire, his peptin can also significantly improve sexual function, same with conatorellen definitely drive up your statistical function. HCG actually also fits into HMG also fit this category, which are luteinizing hormone and follicle stomolin hormone precursors. Those are medically prescribed and very, very effective supplements. So category seven, we have immune modulation, which as I said before, there's some interesting really important stuff around immune modulation, thymus and alpha one being the most important. So it's an antiviral, it's going to operate T cell maturation, which is really important, especially in people of cancer. I didn't mention this. Actually, I think it's the nice category. The thymus and beta four is one that comes up a lot. And I tended previously to believe that it's a ubiquitously useful molecule of change my mind. Why? Because there's been some research coming out lately that says, yes, it's incredibly useful for people to prevent heart attack and stroke sick. Well, gosh, I think every man should be taking this stuff. I take it, you know, my dad takes it from a very, very high quality source. And however, we've just come out recently to show that potentially this could be driving cancer growth, which is a really big problem if someone has a history of cancer. So we have to be concerned with this stuff. So what else fits into immunomodulation LL 37 my anantymocrobial K PV, which is a gut inflammation and inflammation. So as it was a neural inflammation peptide, AR 290, which is nerve and tissue inflammation. And one of the bioregulate is called bronchogen because we're really grateful to long and respiratory tissue. Alright, two more categories. Thanks for sticking with me. Skin and aesthetics. What should what's actually useful? Actually works in what actually should you be thinking about? So the number one skin peptide by a long shot is going to be GHKCU. I use it as a cream. I don't like the idea of injecting it. It's blue. It's kind of weird. But I do use it as a cream. I think it's wonderful. BPC 157. They're going back. They're actually in phase two clinical trials now in Europe. So obviously really useful for all type of tissue healing. So the phase two clinical trials, we listen, we know BPC heals people, but we don't know is what else comes with that. So for example, you have a really bad surgery or really bad cut acutely BPC works. There's no question. But does that come with something negative? We don't know yet. So it's really great to do these FDA approvals. Now, personally, I'm trying to put together a vertically integrated peptide company where I actually own the entire process from the manufacturing to the distribution ultimately, you'd have to be CGMP certified, just meaning like it's completely approved by the government because the only way to do this stuff is legitimately. And I'm working on that. And hopefully I have some cool things to reveal to you guys in time. A few more, but I'll skip over because we've talked about those already. And the final one, which maybe should have been the first is sleep architectures and recovery optimization. So the primary one we talked about is epitome. And Iper Morella has been shown to be really, really useful for sleep when combined with CJC. C-Lank is something I just told you. My dad just started the nasal spray, which is a really useful angiolitic. And it helps some normalized cortisol. So my dad tends to be a bit of a cortisol head. Lovey dad, but true. So we're trying to get him to sort of regulate. So he wakes up in the morning feeling Mr. Driven it instead of waking up at three in the morning, like so many people out there. So if someone does wake up at three in the morning, some of the research says it's probably a cortisol challenge. It could be body temperature as well, but it could be like, cortisol and C-Lank may be something to look at if you can get it from legitimate source. So I know this is sort of the one long, longer than I really wanted. I wanted to rip through this pretty quickly to give you some categories. Someone review these for you. So so you can categorize things more effectively in your brain. Not all things are useful. Not all things are useful for all people. Certainly growth hormones or creaturies are potentially useful potentially detrimental. Why they detrimental use is the great for tissue recovery, the great for growth hormone, great room integration, which can help with sleep. They're great for fat loss, whether it was a downside. Well, some people say they may drive cancer growth. If you have some active cancers, don't use these things. You have to look it up. Some of them are great for visceral fat loss. Some of them are great for appetite. So many things that muscle building fat loss. Some of the good things they could be useful for, but it's not a panacea. So don't be ignorant and think like, how many use these growth hormone circuit dogs without knowing one, the source, are you getting them with toxins and heavy metals, or are you getting them pure? And second, does my body have something happening inside that I don't know about? If you're not testing your body every at least 12 months, ideally six months, guys, missing the point, like you got you got to check, see what's happening. Because otherwise you're throwing things into the fire, just hoping something works. This is the inherent problem in our world right now, I believe, as people, and I hate strong work, don't hate strongly dislike this whole biohacking community that's obsessed with inputs. What's an input? I need red light on my balls, I need peptides in my back and my butt. I need hormones on this and any supplements for this. I'm like, what are you talking about? Like, guys, the goal is not more shit into your body. The goal is the one, two, three, maybe five things that are high impact for you. If you're taking 70 supplements a day, I'm sorry, but you're not doing yourself justice. I know Brian Johnson takes four or four 600 supplements a day. Well, God, go find some better food, grow your own food. If that's that much of a concern, you spend $2 million a year on your, on your health, go build a farm, go your own food. That's probably certainly the best bed. So sourcing the highest quality food, in my opinion, is going to far exceed any type of any type of supplement intervention. I can't say peptides because these are a little bit, I think, a different level. But if your food is crap, then you need a million supplements. If your food is not crap, you probably shouldn't need any, unless you have horrible genetics, which is possible. I have seen people have horrible genetics, which means they need a lot of stuff to keep them at baseline. And some people have amazing genetics, we need nothing to live until 99 years old. So there's this huge variety, this huge gap, variability in someone who has quote unquote bad genetics and quote unquote good genetics. What does bad genetics mean? People tend to have poor inflammatory pathways, people tend to overeat. This is really a genetic thing. People tend to recover slowly. People tend to have insulin resistance. These people will be glad to say, you know, you have pretty poor genetics, man, like so, you know, sorry, high DHT levels, high cortisol levels, genetically, this is very real. And some people have the complete opposite, you know, have very low DHT, very high testosterone, very low estrogen, very low cortisol, like you're just going to live longer. In less, you take really, really good care of your health. So my belief is people have poor genetics can still live to be very, very healthy and very long. They just need to do a little bit more. There needs to be a little bit more discipline, or maybe a lot more discipline and a lot more precise with their actions. No bullshit interventions. You just can't get away with anything. Someone who has really great genes, they can kind of get away with whatever, you know, this is grandma who lived in the 77 smoke free packs a day and drank jack Daniels for lunch every day. You know, that's, she said great genes. You can't compare yourself to this. This is the whole problem the science world right now is everyone's trying to say, well, that person smoked till they're 117 and that's therefore I should too, because smoke is good for you. Like no man, let's
I know it's going to take you out from it and it's going to take you out from recovery perspective. I can see it in your genes and your genes gets verified by looking at your blood work. We do very extensive blood work and we say, oh, look, you have really high dHT genetically just so happens to show up in your blood work as well. Awesome. Let's fix that. Some people have high dHT. This is just an example genetically. What it doesn't show up in your blood. We're not going to do anything about it. So could you just use your blood probably, but there's so many things that aren't yet available to be viewed through blood that are now available to be viewed through genes, for example cholesterol, you can have really bad cholesterol genes and be fighting it or be like, oh, it's not that big of a deal. It's okay that my cholesterol is 230. Oh, well, if you have familial hypoclestralemia, you should probably do something about it. So you should probably do a lot of things about it. Should I take a statin? I'm not sure. Look at your genes because they'll tell you if you're going to be a good responder or bad responder genes and I don't want to make this a certain category to. So I'm going to go back to where I'm going to category one, G8, so creative guys category two tissue repair. So if you have an issue issue with your muscles, your skin, your ligaments, attendance, blood pressure, and so on. Your skin, your ligaments, attendance, look for a legum or an tissue repair peptide longevity. What does that mean anti asian cellular health. There's a lot of these. These are really great. Number four brain health number five metabolic health and weight loss number six sexual health and function number seven immune modulation number eight skin and number nine sleep. So when you're thinking about which problem you're trying to solve identify which of these not in my trying to solve which is most important. Fix the foundational ones first where foundational energy sleep gut health. Forever one. If you don't sleep seven hours a night, if you don't have amazing energy without the need for stimulants. And if you ultimately feel like your gut health is dysfunctional. You got to fix those first because everything you do on top of that simply is it going to be effective. So I started off going on a bit of a rant talking about the excessive peptide use with the absence of credible unbiased information. And so those are wonderful, but you're missing the perspective you're missing half the perspective, because it's not just about the peptide. What's coming with it? Do you know your source? Do you trust your source? And even if it comes with a certificate of authenticity that doesn't mean anything. Those things are so frequently forged. It's so cheap. So you got to find someone who's got a legitimate lab or the best you can. And purchase from those sources. And do they exist 100% they exist. Are there some in China? Yes. In fact, I've been doing research recently. There's a few of them in China that do exist. So you know, and now what I'm doing here is giving every peptide research you've peptide company in the world. So I get from one of the good ones in China. Again, I can't tell you who's good. I don't know who's good right. I can't share all the details, but what I can tell you is I really want you to take care of yourself. I don't want you to not be in whatever said of my friends is don't be an idiot. Like don't put random crap on your body or it is now I did it. I'm still here. Maybe a short in my life. Maybe I didn't hopefully if I do make a mistake it see it early. I catch it early. And I don't continue to inflict harm on myself. But I strongly suggest just don't the goal is to live long and be strong. Then you got to optimize the quality of the things going into your body. Not just the quantity of the things going into your body. I'll just be helpful. I hope you're thriving. I've been down to Costa Rica writing a book. It's my second attempt at a book. I actually made my third first one I did release. Second one last year around this time I spent a good month organizing a book that I didn't end up wanting to finish the book right now is really everything I teach how to be an ancient being an ancient. Biological structure ancient biological animal. And living in technologically advanced world how to integrate how to leverage technology and still keep her humanness and still keep your love and still keep your authenticity and not get sucked into the pedantic treadmill of pleasure loops or educational loops. I think education is dead. I do. The information is free. I think people are truly looking for is not more information. My book isn't going to be an information job. My book is going to be about a perspective shift. It's going to be about actionable insights for you. I don't understand your body. I don't understand how to look at things differently than you always have. So you can take massive action to create the best life you can. I truly want to create an army of men and women and children who are living their best life. You can't do that without a body that works. You can't do that without a mind that's energized, focused and clear. You can't do that without energy and abundance. You can't do that within without a nervous system. That's highly resilient. You simply can't. Those are the four pillars of a highly successful man. I think he wants to optimize the way you look, the way you feel, the way you perform and truly find out what you're capable of. Not just, I'm pretty good. I was, yeah, as good as I was when I was five, you know, 25 or five years ago. Okay, you know, could you be better? I love setting the standard of the gold medal winning athlete. Guy, he wins the gold is extremely different than the guy finishes in seventh and at the same time, it's one 100th of a second and we three 100th of a second difference. But the guy who wins the gold put everything in turned over every leaf thought about every detail and the guy who finished in seventh, maybe he did too, maybe he missed something, maybe just an energetic potential. But well, at the very least, we'll all be able to optimize the fullest capacity, our genetic of our genetic potential. Ladies, thanks for being here today's podcast is brought to you by my friends over at super patch. If you guys tried these things yet, these things are kind of mind blowing. I'm going to tell you some, I'm a skeptic. I think everyone's full of baloney. These guys approach me and say, just try the patch and they sent me a bunch of research, which I read. I tried the patch and so I sitting with my daughter, we were literally thinking, eating sourdough bread or something and we put patches on our arms and we went to play tennis. We came back and we were just singing, Mr. Dune karaoke together. And yeah, I know I don't sing well. Don't you don't hear it. And it was crazy. I didn't tell her what patch was. It was crazy. The amount of energy this low human and I had. And I was like, huh, interesting. And then second, I tried the rem patch. Rapid eye movement sleep patch. And I saw about an hour increase in my REM sleep and when my daughter woke up the next day, again, I don't tell her what it's like. Checked out. She said my head just thinks she goes, that's so great. I was like, she always seems pretty great, which is like she was like, emphatic about it. And so I'll be clear. I don't always test things on my children. These things are, there's nothing on these patches. So I'll say that there's no molecules, there's no toxins, no vitamins, chemicals. There's just, you know, the way I would explain it, braille. So there's a signaling. Shape, maybe. Signalling design. That when it comes in contact with your skin sends a message through your nervous system to your brain to shift the orchestration of the nervous system. Now, sounds crazy, as I think does. I've read the research and I've tried it myself. It works. And they come in patches of 30. And our friends over at Super Patch are hooking us up. So if you guys normally did 97 bucks for 30, which is a lot, a three bucks a patch, but for me, this has been replacing my coffee, which is five bucks per cup. And last the whole day. So I don't need to do multiple cups of coffee. I do still do enjoy coffee from time to time. But it's been a remarkable addition. In fact, I was playing football with my son in the beach yesterday and just running on the beach and Costa Rica's running on the beach started to turn my calf wasn't bad, but felt that. So I took a patch called Liberty, which is this pain reducing patch. And my calf didn't hurt anymore. To be honest, I started running and I think I shouldn't have, but feels great today. It's kind of remarkable to me. I'm not claiming these things do anything amazing. But my experience with them is worth telling about. And I've really enjoyed speaking to the company. I talked them often, but once a week, because I want to hear what they're working on. They've seen 8% difference. This is an interesting one. And they actually saw an incredibly useful thing where someone who had a significant, I think a group of people had significant deficiency in one side of their body strength when they put the patch on the other on the week leg. They actually saw a significant increase in output to that leg. It's all linked to the research in this show notes for this podcast. You guys want to check it out, but if you want to check out super patch head over to super patch.com musical band yet 30% off 30 bucks off. Pretty awesome. And the crazy thing you're going to see these things are coming up everywhere. Everyone's got these things. All of my friends, all of my colleagues, all my performance experts, these are like many things work. And because it's really not putting anything toxic into your body, it's minimally is not invasive at all as a little plastic or a little sticker on your skin. It's worth a try at over super patch.com musical band. And if you did enjoy this podcast, I've actually just launched a sub stack, which allows me to.
to go a little deeper. Organize my thoughts a little better, 'cause sometimes I like to go in tangents. We like to listen, continue to listen, podcast, obviously share, leave me a great review. Don't forget to subscribe. And if you'd like to read, have it over the sub-stack, 'cause I'm putting out at least one a week. I'll probably go back to, although I've spent the last month in Costa Rica writing my books. I should've minimized it, but I put it a couple. The first one I strongly suggest to read is, what I believe is the best approach to diet in the whole world, how to think about diet rather than exactly go follow this diet. And I think you should read it. I think you'll enjoy it. Sub-stack slash Bempicalski. And on that note, have a great day. (upbeat music)
Podcast Summary
Key Points:
Peptides are presented as the future of healthcare, but sourcing and purity are critical due to potential contaminants like heavy metals and endotoxins from some manufacturers.
The FDA's regulation of peptides is acknowledged as necessary to ensure safety, emphasizing that purity percentages do not guarantee the absence of harmful residues.
Individual responses to peptides vary based on genetics, health status, and protocol order, requiring personalized and informed approaches rather than universal solutions.
A paid masterclass is promoted to educate on safe sourcing, proper protocols, and understanding peptide mechanisms, aiming to prevent costly and harmful mistakes.
Peptides function as signaling molecules, but improper use—such as incorrect sourcing, sequencing, or dosing—can lead to negative health effects.
Summary:
FAQs
Peptides sourced from unverified suppliers, especially from China, may contain harmful impurities like heavy metals or endotoxins, which can pose serious health risks even if the peptide itself is high purity.
The podcast mentions categories like GH secretagogues for body composition and tissue repair peptides such as BPC-157 and TB-500, each serving specific functions in health and performance.
The FDA has banned some popular peptides due to safety concerns, emphasizing that peptides should not be used without complete purity testing to avoid contaminants that could cause harm.
Individual responses to peptides vary based on genetics, current health status, hormone levels, immune function, and inflammatory burden, meaning the same peptide can have different effects from person to person.
Research peptides may have accurate dosing but can contain toxins like LPS or heavy metals, which might cause adverse reactions, especially in individuals with compromised health or weak immune systems.
The order in which peptides are administered, both daily and over weeks or months, is crucial; incorrect sequencing can lead to negative results or reduced effectiveness.
