[CHEERING] Oh, that was as good as it gets. Hello, welcome to the SC Playbook Wrap. Round one, part two, the Aussie edition of the SC Playbook Weekly Wrap for this week is coming to you. You've got Walsh here from SC Playbook. We're going to kick off with the Thursday night game, Melbourne Storm, 52 points. Absolutely rents the eels to four. What a route by the Melbourne Storm. It was absolute masterclass by Harry Grant, the Japan product local boy from here in my area. Yeah, he just went out there and put on an absolute clinic on the back of. Wow, I thought the performance from the eels boards was pretty lacklustal. I can do some other words, but I won on this podcast. But I think Jason Riles had probably filmed the same way they went out there, and they really struggled to match the energy of Stefano Udekamano and Tuikamikamika, who just rolled straight through them and Harry Grant was, of course, the beneficiary of that. You can't give a player of his caliber, those sort of quick playables who just tell you apart. And he was just doing that around the ruck, getting six against, just rolling through the ruck. Like that try that he scored, where he just rolled past a couple of players from about 25 out and put it underneath the post untouched. I mean, you shouldn't be able to score those in an NRL game. But anyway, very disappointing for Paramata fans. Look, all of Paramata really, I think the only ones that really held their gloves up were Isaiah O'onghi, maybe Sean Russell, he went OK as well. He looks good this season. But Isaiah O'onghi was a shining life from at full back. And he was all last year as well. He's a good player, a really good player, that kid that they got from Penra. So look, like I said, the forwards, I felt like really let the yields down. They didn't give their spine that much of an opportunity. Moses Leo, Jack Howarth, Udi Kamano, Kamikamika, just run riot through them at the start of the sets. And Grant benefited off the back of it. It's sort of hard to know what to make of it. Paramata were really bad. They came in with a lot of hype. But the storm, what equal is impressive. So you can't take anything away from the storm. And with their round one streak now, it's 24 years in a row. Look, anyone really, that surprised by it. I mean, I think they did a similar job on Paramata last year. But Paramata had a new coach last year. They're in a different place. There's been a lot of hype around. I'm probably around the peasant signing, which I don't really understand, because he's only going there for one year. And people were saying that he's such a good match for Mitchell Moses. But who wouldn't be for Mitchell Moses? He's a good runner of the footy Mitchell Moses, but he's also a good organizer. So he's a chameleon in that respect. And you know, you've seen that by the fact that him and Cleary can play two genuine halfbacks can play in state of origin. So it really, he could play with the Dylan Brown. He could play with the peasant. So I thought Moses was quiet. He didn't have a lot to work off the back of. I thought peasant was, he got targeted a fair bit by his old team. And that would have really hurt him. So expect a bit of a bounce back game from him next week. Look so far, Longo. Absolutely electric. It was just pure speed. It was funny, because I thought Tackle Brakes would be the thing that he would just light up a lot of games with Tackle Brakes and then that half catch him and he'd get those off loads a little bit like Herbie does because he's so fast. But it actually led to five line-brake assists. And the reason was he was just cooking him on the outside when he was running the sweep play. And sometimes he didn't even have to go that close to the play just to engage with me. He was able to just release his center. And he got those five line-brake assists. Only had two Tackle Brakes, which is outrageously low for him. You can expect that to be averaging five or six a game, I reckon. I reckon without a doubt he will average five or six a game. It was just the way the game played out. Because he had so much base really, and he could pass to so much base that it happened. But I think in tighter games around the rock he's going to have a lot of Tackle Brakes. OK, let's have a look at a few of the scores. Sean Russell, like I said, he held his gloves up 70. Isaiah Hong, Iongi 67, Jermaine Hopgud 50 with a sinb in. So that's pretty good. I think Aaron is really being really disappointed when he got binned. But he came back on and played a lot of minutes. Kitty Ketonga looked good at times. He was probably the pick of the forwards. He 49 did some good things. Did some not so good things. Mitch Moses 40. Given the scoreline, that's respectable for Moses. Jonah Pizzett 17. I spoke about this last week, and I've been talking about the preseason. I really can defade him. Now, I think he will have a bounce back game next week, and he really doesn't have that much to recover to get back up. I mean, if he has a game, I think he has a game of like 33, then he's back on break even trial. So it's a real low risk there. But I just didn't want him in my side, because I thought he'd be at auto emergency risk. And that proved to be the case in this game. And I'm not that unhappy to be with Adam. And if I'm proven wrong, it doesn't take too much to get him in. So I'll just wait and see at this moment, and they've got a pretty tough game up there against the Broncos. He got spanked themselves. So yeah, in a way, you look back after round one, and you go, what did I get right? What did I get wrong? I feel like the Jonah Pizzett fade is something that I've got right. I think you probably can't truly judge it until after round two. If he comes out and gets 100, then I'll probably look a bit silly. But yeah, obviously, what the ability to bring him in there, Rolly Smith, 30, now Rolly Smith, he is a good young player. But honestly, he had an absolutely shocking game. I felt sorry for the young fella, and he just compounded and compounded. And sometimes he got left on an island by himself. Like the time, I think, when Stefano ran straight over him, you know, yeah, it looks bad for him when I'm one tackle. But like, where's the dual contact? There should be two or three blocs going into that defense, and he just got run straight over as a hooker. So there was no one with him. So that's a team error as much it is an error on him. But he, yeah, his service was not great. And even Talinda said, well, when he came on, his service wasn't great. They just looked totally off, paramount. So I think Red Pen, through that performance, and hopefully they come out next week and put in a better performance. But again, like I said, they've got a tough game against the Brisbane Broncos. For the storm, really glad to see Cooper Clark 34. He is a New South Wales product, but he came up to Queensland. I think he was just living up in Clowndra. And I went to the state titles for the schoolboys a few years ago and saw him play and just thought, wow, he's a special talent. Very good late footwork, strong runner, great offload ability, which I think he showed out there as well. 34 points, good score for him was surprising. You know that he must be a player of some talent to come into that storm side so quickly at such a young age. So Bellamy obviously believes in him. He trusts his fundamentals, which is a big part of it. They keep him out of the side. But to beat in a guy like Jack Heatherington, who's a seasoned and a real professional, whatever you think of some of his choices on the field, it can be a bit of a hothead, but like Cooper Clark's beating him out for a spot on his merits. There's another guy there. I think it was Josiah Pahulu from the Titans that they've recruited. He beat him in for a spot as well. So unless he's injured and I'm not sure of that, but I think in that regard, yeah, Cooper Clark, he's a name to definitely putting your watch list of this stage. Didn't smash the lights out with the score, but still to a really good score. Jerome, he was 66. That seemed a bit low for a game that he dominated. I mean, Harry Grant was 10 out of 10. And Jerome, who was like 9 1/2 out of 10 when Harry Grant finds a quick play the ball, got great rock ID. The best thing about Jerome, he was, is he jumped on the back of it and he really plays with the back of that. So I thought that was a little low for his super coach score, but I mean, it all goes well for the rest of the season. Jack Howarth was impressive, 79, another Rocky Boy. Another Rocky Boy, can't run star. Seemed seemingly quite quiet, but picked up late in the game. 80 points didn't have to do much with Grant and Jerome here's dominating, but 80's a good score for those guys that picked him up. Guys, all girls in super coaches, that picked him up for round one. The two back rowers, Joe Chan, 87, Adabalu, Lassati, 88. He couldn't have asked for more from them. I really got involved in it and good scores and yeah if you pick the head and neither of them then good luck. I guess there's a little bit of uncertainty around who's going to keep a starting spot when Blur comes back but you know with the weight is I mean there's the month certainly around Blur and you know maybe he doesn't come back in maybe he comes back off the bench. It's hard to get into a side that one fifty point fifty two points to four so we'll see what happens. Harry Grant 94 he sort of twisted his ankle and I thought oh this could be seen this most this injury but then the report from the sideline was he thought he'd done his hamstring but they said it was just really bad hamstring cramps so with Melbourne you don't really know like I mean there's a chance he'll be out next week which for a person like me that has Harry Grant and then Brandon Smith on the bench that's troubling so you're going to have to have a plan be there but hopefully he backs up and it wasn't too much too much wrong with him and you know he plays again because he's in supreme form to start the season. Moses Leo super impressive really happy to have him this is what I saw he's just a really pure runner of the footy yeah he's got like plenty of ability offload ability but just tackle breakability I thought was outstanding 95 points very happy to have him in my side big tick getting that one right so far longer I'll give myself another tick there couple of tries obviously in a route but yeah he looks really impressive he's not going to do that every game but at his price that it was really good to pick him up okay on to the Friday night games and the wires very happy to see them get the win Warriors 40 over roosters 18 look I've got to say this is a Warriors fan the Warriors got a lot of calls early in the game actually throughout the whole game it was it was shocking to see because usually as a Warriors supporter you just sit in there going how did they get that call but they got a lot of good calls like from the video ref and I'm not saying that the calls were wrong I say the majority of the calls were right but it was just one of them games where nothing went the roosters way they got frustrated by it as they do like James Sidesco does get frustrated and I at Sam Walker got really frustrated so did a lot of their players I think at the end Lindsey Collins got quite frustrated as well so it was just a just a stinker over a trip for them I'd say like it's been so Lenu got injured in the warm up which wasn't great and it was just sort of downhill from there but the roosters did look very very dangerous at times when they got their game on when they got that rock speed again we'll talk about it a bit later got a bit of a question there from the SCS by the with the six against the change once they got that rock speed teams are just really running through the middle it's a really exciting brand of footy I thought that that we saw in the NRL this weekend another call of the try went Warriors way straight after half time I think there was a roosters try and it got just a loud look most of the calls I think were actually right but the roosters discipline was a trojus like they really were poorly disciplined and they showed the couple of times they were two or three meters off side and then the Warriors knocked it on and they got it off side penalty so they're the sort of things where you go oh everything's against us but when they showed the replay that was bloke's up were like two or three meters off side so Tana Boyd and Chanel Harris to beat up were very impressive in the harbs and when it comes to the Warriors that's probably the big question mark coming in I mean they're really solid otherwise Webster has got a really good system there he held like a howler see him a back for as long as he could and sure enough he comes straight under the field and scores a trademark try if they kick him he's almost as dangerous as Jeremiah Manai off those short and kicks they try and drop him on the head of the half and he comes outside in and just competes for him and he's really really good in the air so it was good to see Lecker out there look both halves could be considerations with Metcalf out to week seven and I mean if they keep playing like that they won't have to rush him back there was an interview where they said Metcalf would be back earlier but yeah you have to consider both halves based on that I mean Warriors over their plan at night on Friday nights is traditionally not a high scoring game so they did have everything go their way but they were really good scores by both halves to Nesca was the best for the roosters I thought he did get frustrated with the calls that went a good least myth that gave Ali Lourtay an absolute bath as much as you can when you get beaten by 20 points but yeah look he had limited opportunities but every time he touched it Ali Lourtay out I don't think he'll get dropped but I think there will definitely be some discussions there around is the defense because he struggled big time Billy Smith was just getting on the outside of him and made him look second rate a few times actually okay let's have a look at a few of the scores Tedesco 92 marked the wanganeeta was he doing some freakish stuff again love watching him play 60 Billy Smith 81 great game from him Sam Walker 54 by night by night I you Ali 48 which is interesting he played I think about 50 or 55 minutes straight before Conor Watson came on Angus Cright and 54 not his best game is probably lucky not to get Simbin for repeating for injuries as well but you can tell that he's got some good 40 in him this year and you know once the roosters open up that he's going to be part of the scoring he's good at trying that as well backing up Blake steep 28 I don't think he's a consideration at the moment I think Nat Bautcher was one that scored really well as well but until they immaterialized exactly what the roosters forward pack is going to be I think it's hard to have much confidence around anyone but Angus Cright and for the Warriors Roger two of us a sharecutter absolutely blind a set up two tries 90 how replicable that is I'm not really sure but it could be something that they look at this year where they put the kicks to the corner and then tap them back inside Chanel Harris to beat a scored up both of those and got 92 points again he can have games like that where he kicks really well and runs really well and back up tries how replicable that is I'm not sure it's down to boy 131 outstanding running the footy setting up tries kicking goals oh he definitely goes on to the watch list he wasn't someone who I'd black book before this Jackson Ford was good 69 it was around about what he was due so I wouldn't really look at him but he took a lot of runs K well on the edge was one that really exposed daily cherry heavens and Paul who came in late for Rob Toya so that that was a change that they had they had Rob Toya name but I think Paul got throughout the week came in maybe the Thursday or something like that so that's where the Warriors really exposed the roosters around that combination and I thought it was like a new combination I hadn't played that much I know Paul got played in the trials he ended up getting injured as well but yeah around there they they they really expose exposed daily cherry heavens and Paul were defensively Laban 22 for those people that took the risk on him didn't pay off for Jacob Laban and I think given that you've got Lacka Hallis Seema there on the on the bench just ready to come on I don't think he's a prospect Aaron Clark 47 which is down for him he played quite well James Richard Harris actually got a really good score as well so he might be one to black fork and keep an iron Lacka Hallis Seema 39 with the try without a line break yeah that's about it from that game I mean I think the roosters are atop 8 side I do actually think the Warriors are atop 8 side just because they're so solid now they had a lot of things go go well from in those games but to be at top 8 side they're going to have to win a lot of those games at home so that's a great start they get Canberra next week which is a really tough game Canberra look red at this year so yeah good stuff for the Warriors and I wouldn't be too worried if I was a roosters fan late game on Friday and I was a bit of a stinker Panthers 26 points to nail over the Broncos lots of errors in the game 33 total errors in the game look it wasn't rainy but the humidity in Brisbane look right up there lots of sweat a lot of water around on the ground on the ball Bronx had a night to forget Panthers sort of strangled him out of it I mean they made plenty of mistakes as well it just it was just one of those early round games that you see that was just mistakes mistakes and they didn't really get going either side but the Panthers just just did it better I guess look both sides would be better for the run it was totally inexplicable to me why Pain House I think he played 77 minutes or something like that was for the book. last 10 minutes when the game was gone and this is the reason why I have him in my side and I'll keep him in my side even though he had a blow past school or super coach wise, is I feel I actually heard a quote from Gordon Dallas during the week and he said they're rolling out there in a wheelchair like I genuinely feel like that is the attitude towards it from the coaching staff is just they will run him into the ground and like to me it just proves maybe that's the reason why he's gone to South maybe he's talking to some of those South guys and you know Wayne Bennett's talked to him got in his ear and said I'll look after you mate like you know I'll prolong your career because yeah he's a freak in that but they treat him like an absolute robot like just go out there and play 77 minutes like you 26 nil down like what's what is the point of that surely there's someone on the bench like a Toltea or an Oblix Tafar or someone like that that you could get some more minutes into then having a marquee player out there like Pain House who's just going to get himself injured I understand the mentality of competing on every play and competing all the time and that but when you're 26 nil down to playing for those last 10 minutes crazy in my opinion but as a super coach I don't know like yeah I don't mind it but I mean similarly if they started to use some common sense around it and took him off and gave him a rest then I'd adjust my super coach plans accordingly but NRL was I just think it makes no sense super coach wise I'm happy that he's staying out there and racking up the points Dylan Edwards is probably the most impressive in just pure NRL and super coach wise I thought for the Penner of Panthers I said look at an Edwards 85 points it's a good score Bryant tie 38 Kasey McLean 38 not much happening out there Nathan Cleary 65 bit below par Isaiah Puppoli 57 I think Isaiah had a break even of 62 and he scored exactly 62 so as promised Isaiah delivered we probably wanted I don't know eight or nine more points but probably given all the stopgages in the game 33 title errors there wasn't it wasn't a massive game for ball in play then you cop that Reese Welsh 34 I think you did pretty well to get to 34 like I said stop start game he looks dangerous just didn't go his way nothing was happening for the Broncos Carapani 35 Shibazaki 26 so those people that really stack the Broncos I mean I was um in an iron about Welsh right up until so far longer played but I just decided to back him go with it and even I even considered Kenny for Welsh but just the price points I decided to stick with what I did and I'm very happy with that Penhase 68 and Caragain 52 both down on what they normally do okay let's break it up a little bit we're going to take a couple of questions from the discord question number one from disciple of the sse spy he's got disciples now the latter he asks is it too early to go Atkinson to Sanders look I don't think so I don't think it's too early given what Sanders did to be honest with you it's more about Sanders than it is about Atkinson Atkinson was solid he had a good kicking game uh St George will have some good games but camera look good like the he looks so good in that game I know the only one by a golden point field goal but I was so impressed with camera I thought Ricky you know rolled out a side that you know he almost he almost felt like he didn't really care whether they won or not he was happy to start the season slow they started they didn't touch the ball for the first 12 minutes and but Sanders looked really good that's the first time I've seen him play so it was always a toss up for me Atkinson or Sanders I went with what I knew which was Atkinson look I think I'll be doing it I really do I think I'll be doing it so I don't think it's too early to go Atkinson to Sanders question two from titanium all stars ask if sharp is out long than around three return is he a trade out well first of all titanium all stars I want to say congrats on picking sharp he looked unreal it's just so unlucky that he got injured about 25 minutes into the game handed up with 62 points super coach points it all depends when he comes back I mean if it's round four around five I'd it's easy for me to say because I don't have him but I'd probably hold him just because you'll want him at five eight I reckon I do still believe even though there was some really big scores of five eight that he will be the top averaging five eight by 10 plus points look if someone like Chanel Harris to beat her or Trindal provides too good of an opportunity to pass up for cash generation so let's say Trindal goes out there and goes 100 again and just he just becomes too hard not to get then absolutely you're in a great position because you've got sharp and you can just go straight to him and cash in that money and then you can go straight back to sharp yeah you're going to use a few trades in that but that makes a lot of sense to me but unless that happens I'd probably keep sharp if he was coming back say round four around five I haven't followed closely what's happening with him okay on to the sharks versus the titans and the sharks absolutely steamrolled the titans 50 points to 10 look as a rough start for the titans fans but I think it's very similar to the eels last year they have to hit rock bottom with the new coach before they climb their way back up and I think that's probably what's happening there they're away from home they had a lot of hype about the trials you can never read that much into the trials and look 50-60 minutes into the game I was questioning my decision to have four of them in my side even though they presented really good value on paper it was just an absolute blitzkrieg from the chronology sharks who are the most steady roster they've rolled out pretty much the same team for the last three or four years so they should be able to go out there and do that to a less experience side the titans look shell-shocked and they didn't react or respond well until the second half but that response in the second half was better than what the eels put up against Melbourne so in that respect I think Hannah can take a little bit of faith out of that even though they were absolutely cooked in the first half they did show some signs of life in that second half okay in terms of scores Kinney he rescued what looked like not being a great game 59 Feiyah Marnie good finish for the trial 54 Ajay Brimson was poor 30 Matina had one of his poor games could be suspended I'm not really sure what's happening with that it was it was a silly play one of those things that Tino has in his game he needs to get out of it look but it was it wasn't even dangerous that's the thing I don't think he will get suspended for it because it was like it was a blatant shoulder charge and he tucks the arms like an old style shoulder charge but it doesn't really hurt the other player so hopefully it's all right 44 points for Tino San Barrel 71 points now he's got to try did some decent things but his service early on in the game was horrendous like it was really bad like Riley Smith's the other night like and it just shows you how important good services from dummy half and players like Harry Grant Kim Smith was the king at it they were just put a ball on a dime all the time in front of players and when you see that bad service it reminds you of how important it is for sure around the how I thought was promising I think he played 80 minutes 57 points he is in my side he'll be staying in my side I liked what he did he's got tackle breakability he's got offloads you know I think when Campbell gets back there he'll definitely create some space for him as well on that right edge both are more 50 quiet Cooper by 25 Cooper by looked unbelievable so I watched the press conference afterwards because I'm like well there's so many cheapies here what am I going to do with Cooper by I got 25 which is his break even but he just didn't get any time and is he a better player than Tui Simpkins Curtis Maren I don't know who else was the middle forward rotation but yes he is like in my opinion far superior goes out their breaks tackles finds his front real handful for opposition's got an offload but Hanna said quite openly yeah look he he sort of admitted that yeah he's going really well but for Cooper's development we need to hold him back a little bit a little bit like what Andrew Webster said about like a Hall of Seema so I take those things into account and I probably will trade out Cooper by to be honest with you because there are other players like catchman Ryan catchman that are the same price that I got. just going to get more usage and I'll bring I'll look to bring Cooper by back in later in the year. Now if something happens and there's a change, I'm happy to cop that but based on what Hannah said in that press conference, I'm going to probably trade out Cooper by for another cheapy that's going to school better. I think it'll make more money for me quicker. So you only could tell a 91 look some of the back see I got some huge scores for the crown of the sharks which you'd expect Jesse Ramyan to try 115 KL, Ero 44 which is a bit disappointing for owners but he did score a lot of tries last year. Niko hides 131 Braden, Trendle 132 outstanding from the heart AFB 67 which is about par for him. Blake Braille 62 seemed a bit low because he was running an absolute mark in that first half like Harry Grant just didn't quite convert to super coach points. Jesse Colton 44 I think owners would be pretty happy without without being an absolutely stoked because there are a lot of good cheapies presenting. Britton Nikoara 48. seagulls twenty eight in golden point wouldn't entertaining roller coaster game look manly started red hot and we're really up and about is that the most energy I've actually seen from a manly side in a long long time was certainly under the sea bowl reign so I think that was really positive signs for the coach and them this year might have had something to do with Tom Trebleu which being captain and the year they had last year but they were really up and about raiders didn't touch the ball until the eleventh minute for attack which is very rare in a game of NREL look the raiders wrestle back momentum they hung in there and they look like they blow their blind the seagulls away out of the game but through desperation they went wide to turbo and cooler who had absolute spiders on him I know he was matching up against semi sassange who's not a genuine center but semi sassange is proven himself to be a very versatile player and a very very good player in center or second row position and like tollets our cool is just so electric and so elusive that he basically single handly brought the seagulls back into the game and and they sent it to golden point look absolute clutch play by Ethan Sanders to kick the field goal from about 35 meters out you know much pressure on him but very very impressive game by Ethan Sanders I said like I think about 30 minutes into it I really like to look at this kid I know I started to realize that I've made a mistake with that concern but I was but I knew going into it that I didn't really know what he liked I needed the side I basically I needed to see whether he could do that any any did he came out and he pulled it off Ethan Sanders and I think he's a player going for that I want and of course no Martin on the edge you who would have picked that I think the spy brought him into his side so he'll be up and about but yeah no Martin on the edge he's someone that everyone's going to have to consider as well so camera throwing a cat amongst the pigeons are so good to have some camera players to consider this year for super coach they're going to be a really relevant side they look camera like my biggest taking from that game is and I've thought this in the preseason I think manly probably lack depth they they they can win some games and they can put themselves up and around the eight but they're going to need a really good run with injury because they don't have a lot of depth you know in a few positions particularly forwards I don't think they got a lot of depth there camera are a legit contender they looked really good like really good like they looked top four to me when they were on they looked really good and there's some players to come back into that side so yeah look I was I was very impressed by the camera players okay Tom Treboivich 104 turbo breaking hearts again so he's going to come back into the conversation for super coaches he looked good he looked really good in the wet to get a score like that told how cool 108 again he might just be playing that good that you cannot deny him you'll have to have a look at him at his price tomorrow for Goli 69 was solid Jake Simkin 59 Taniaola Perseca 63 is a good played 80 minutes I believe so okay on to the last game and the dolphins playing the rabbit holes at Suncorp Stadium and the score was 40 points to 30 in favor of the Sia Sydney rabbit holes yep this one was a very open a game on a wet field really had Suncorp Stadium so that was surprising but both teams look they're they're slick with the ball but they don't have the most solid a defense as South look really sharp particularly on the edges both right and left early but they also split the dolphins up the middle at times early the dolphins market defense was really poor in the first half I thought the the rabbit holes went out to like 28 10 school line camogram and Alex Johnson look viable propositions for South look the trail Mitchell my issue with the trail Mitchell was how many touches is he going to get in that role but he has to be the most efficient player in the NRL and by that I mean like I was watching the a little bit of AFL the other day and they showed there's a key forward there for the goalco Sunscorp Ben King and he had five possessions or five disposals and he kicked four goals and they said he's just ruthlessly efficient well I think the rugby league example of that is the trail Mitchell he doesn't touch the ball that much but what he does is just quality and in terms of subcote chicken get so many points from it so he's a player that I've faded and I'm not overly worried by his score because I think that's close to his ceiling when he plays center but that could be famous last words from me because he could really hurt me the trail he just has such yeah his limited touches and runs but just big output from those touches key almost very busy played big minutes in the first half and had a heap of runs I thought David for feeder looked really good to her be look great with limited opportunities. Cobb I was under heavy pressure when he got the ball but I think I could see them up on the left side quite a bit. Ken Murray looked great he played 48 minutes straight and then came back on and there's a clear drop off when the Rabadot's bench came on in the middle forward. So that's really gonna help Keon and Cam Murray get really good minutes. Okay, onto the scores. Finifuwiaki AT2 Herbie Farmwall 75, Katoa 59, Selmon Cobo 54, which is round about his break even. Hammerso, Tabuoi Fido 67, Tom Flagelah 48, which is promising for owners, Jermaine Asaka, got the late try 77, both, the whole back row, Finifuwiaki, Lemo-Ello and Morgan Noles were quite good in terms of their super coach growing. Lemo-Ello 75, Morgan Noles 58. Got to take into account that plath, and Donna, Donna here have got to come back into that side. So I don't think Morgan Noles is a viable proposition there. For the Rabadot's, Joy Gray 54 looked a lot better than that. I think Timmy Williams had him in his side as a bit of a pod, but he said that he switched late to Reese Walsh. So he didn't get too bad by but early in the game, it looked like Joy Gray was gonna be another fallback put in his hand up for consideration. Alex Johnson 38, Jack White, and I thought he had a great game, 52. LaTrell Mid 104, obviously he's got the goal kicking. He was a high scoring game, scored two tries and played really well. I think he might have had a try this allowed as well when that came off his shoulder. Campbell Graham 73, getting some ball on that right side of the field. Cody Walker 104. Cody Walker just reaffirmed what a lot of people were thinking that it's a big year for him. Now he can stand up and he really did stand up in that game. It suited him. I mean, the dolphins are pretty good matchup for sides and I think it's actually a decent matchup as well because they just try to outscore you. I don't know if that'll be the case all year, but it certainly was the case today in a 40 points to 30 matchup. I can't even call on my tongue. He's 77, got a lot of runs. Looked good, a bit of offloadability there. Day for feet, a 68. Got the simb in late, which owners will be a bit dirty but I think anyone who's serious about that super coach has got day for feet or anyway. So it's a little bit of a mood point but yeah, certainly he had a really good game. That left side, Tour the dolphins apart a bit. Ken Murray 71. He will come into calculations very quickly playing games like that and putting up super coach scores like that. Look, I think the biggest takeaway that I got from the game is both the sides at the moment are going to be pretty good matchups for super coach. They play in waves. They, yeah, like you're going to score a fair few super coach points against them. They don't seem to have a huge emphasis on defense. Now that could change. It might have just been the first game of the season but it wasn't a wet field. And there were 70 points scored. So that tells you a little bit. Okay, on to a few more of the discord questions just to finish off. Jabra asks, "What point do we need to consider our trade plans? Fall and guns have fired. Cheapies are red hot and all teams have quite similar ability. Each week can cause headaches. Does this mean a different approach to previous years? A great question, Jabra. Look, I'm not sure I agree with all teams having similar abilities. I think that these early rounds do help us work out the haves and have nots in the teams and what the matchups are like. So what's a favorable matchup like I just spoke about it then. South Sydney and the dolphins, obviously the Titans of this stage look like a favorable matchup as well. Ford planning is always important. I think picking a strategy is really important. And you either pick a strategy and stick with it or you adjust it on the runner a little bit. And that's what makes Super Coach so good. That's what I love about Super Coach. So without answering your question, do we need a different approach to next year? I think the important thing is that you find out what your approach is and you stick with it and do what works for you as you go along. Pubsy Us is a too early to trade. Drinky out of my flex for turbo or the trail. Look, I do it. I do it for turbo to be honest, I'm like, I'm a high on drinking. I probably wouldn't do it for the trail, but depending on what your team makeup is, like I reckon, I reckon that was close to we're seeing today. Like I said that before with the trail, I could be totally wrong come out here and score four tries in games, but I guess it depends on matchups, but I definitely do it for turbo. I think turbo plays a day game versus new castle next week. So not about matchup. Number one, Tom asked double question here. Any must have cheapies after round one. Martin looks to pick over Lesarty, Chan and Couchman. Look, they all look pretty good to be fair. Number one, Tom. Maddie Nicholson with the reserve grade injury and the way no one Martin played, I definitely can't disagree with you on putting him as number one. And the second part of the question is, is Error a hold? Look, I think with this one you got a back-eat gut. Lots of cheapies out there. So it's easy to go to a cheapie that might have got to try this week, but he is a proven Sanawing gun in a really good side who has shown the propensity to score tries. So I think if you thought he was your gun that you're going to go with, like I have herby as my gun and I'm happy with him. And I've got Taylor May. So you say you might have two, a makeup of two Sanawing guns. Some people might have three or four with the cheapies out there. It's probably hard to have more than two or three. So yeah, see how you go, but I think you know, you've got him in there for a reason. Okay, SC spy has chimed in with his ponderings for the week. And he says, do we think it will be shades of 2021 again or its settles? And are six against influencing this or some poor defensive showings? Yeah, look, great question from the inimitable SC spy. Love his work, love listening to him. Him and Timmy every week on the show SC Playbook show great stuff. So look, I think 2021 is a bit of a stretch by this stage, probably not to that degree, but yeah, the change of the six again, real, it's definitely, I haven't seen statistics, but just from the eye test, I think it's got more ball in play, more fatigue, which creates fast and furious, but he, it's actually really entertaining. I just love where rugby leagues at the moment. I love watching it and I thought the round one games were on a whole really good and a tiny game. So there's big swings in momentum as well, which I think is really good. And that creates those games like we had with Cameron and Manley. Definitely the game has changed for the better and supercouch changing with it. So probably the advice that I have for you, spy and you do this is better than anyone else is adapt or die, you know, like you, you've got to adapt in this game. So if you don't, then you get caught, Stan is still in supercouch and that's no good for anyone. Okay, before we finish up today, I just did a bit of a comprehensive look at how all the positions went. So it's a bit of a position breakdown. So we can look at, I won't do this every week. Obviously being round one, having split over two weeks, I've been able to do this, but some of the players in hookah position. So I've categorized them in four categories. So you have the undervalue. So they're under the break even school, right on value. So they give or take right on value, you know, maybe like five to ten points. See the side of it above value. They're 20 to 40% above value of their break even. And then you've got the well above value ones, which are the ones that you're either patting yourself on the back that you've done really well to get them in your side. Or you're thinking, how do I get them into my side? So for hookah position, the undervalue players that you probably don't want to have and you're probably not considering moving forward. Jaden Braille, Connor Watson, Kalani going, Corey Pakes, Sam Healy, Mitch Kenny, Ben Hunt and Wade Egan. Wade Egan's split in time with Sam Healy. So that puts both those warriors, boys out of commission for me. Right on value based on what they scored, Talon the Silver, Tommy Starling and Blake Braille. Blake Braille, I was impressed with again. I would not put a red pen through him at some stage. He will probably be in my side. And he will finish the top three hookah in my opinion. Above value with that 20 to 40% above value with their score, you had Reed Marnie, Jake, Simkin, Sam Veralls, Brad Snyder, not considering any of them. But I think if you put them in your side, particularly a lot of people went Reed Marnie, you'd be very happy. And well above value, the 50 to 100% plus, well above value, you've got a cook, who I'm not considering because of Jacob Blodell is coming back, O.I.O.L.E. from the Rooster. So if you have any big, quite happy, by Lee Haywood again. again from the Bulldogs and Phoenix, Khozlem, I think you get 240/20. So you have to take that into account. And of course, Harry Grant. So very happy with Harry Grant as my hooker one. Okay, I have a little look at the front row forward position under value. Some big names in the under value this week. Pain has 21% under value score, Tino 38% under value score. That Joey Tupin, A 40% under value and Patty Carrigan 25% under value. I wouldn't panic with these four guys. Look, I don't think Joey Tupin, he's a really good option. Tino maybe, like he may go out on my side just because I want to downgrade him to a cheap and free up some money because I have some other positions where I want to bring players in the future. So we'll see how that goes. But Pain asks is locked into my side. Right on value, he had Jackson Ford. He was up about 11%. So, Adam Fnall Black, Max King, Jack Williams, Jermaine Hopkwood with the send in was right on value. So, taking that into consideration, he had a pretty good game. Supercouch wise, I-PAP and Kalauma Tungey. Above value. So a few names in here, Corey Horzbrough, James Fisher Harris, Toby Calcerman, Sam McIntire, Stefano Udom, Komano, Jacob Syfidi, Morgan Noles, Jesse Carlhoun, Tom Fleglough, if you had any of them, you'd be pretty happy with them because they've scored 20 to 40% roughly above the value of that break even. And the real high flies in the front rower, you have well above value, Tramuni, Taniela Paseca, Cooper Clark, scored 34 with a break even a 21, two-economic ameeker and Arama Hal. So, Arama Hal scored 140% above his break even, which was really impressive. Onto the second row, some of the underperforming players in the first category, Bo Firmall, Britain, the Korat, Aaron Clark, Xavier Willison, and Jacob Laban. So, he was a cheapy, but he's still underperform. Right on value, you had Hudson Young, like that's just, he is the number one 2RF, and I think he scored 85, but that's his value. That's how much he costs. So, Dylan Lucas, Ola Kawatu, Isaiah Yoh, Angus Criot was a little bit down, I think maybe eight points down and Cooper, bye. One point above value. Above value, 20 to 40% in the second rower position, you had Jacob Preston, James Sua, and Hamish Stewart, taken into account, they both played that goal, and they all played that goal in point game. Sorry, it's a bulldog's play as well. Connolly Lemoello, Cam Murray, in that category as well. A lot of 2RFs in the well above value, break even 50 to 100% plus category. You had Billy Ami Kickow, Helum Luki, Lassati, Chan, Capewell, Butcher, Susangi, Ryan Kouchman, David Fafita. Well, actually, I think I might have, he might have been in that one as well, yeah. Finna Fiyaki, and Noah Martin, 400%, 400% above value, that's crazy. Okay, in the half back, under performing, under value, you have Reynolds, Moses, Walker, and Cleary, and then right on value, you had Dylan Brown, Jerome Hughes, and Izzy Katow, above value, 20 to 40%, you had Ackinson, so he was projected to get 24, got a 32, Galvin was 30% above value for his break even score, and then when we look at the ones that were well above value, in the half back position, there was three there, Ethan Sanders projected to get a 25, got 94, which is sort of 300%, close to 300% above value, 10 of Boyd, 131, Nico Hines, 131, great starts, this season for those lads, in the troublesome five eighth position, okay, all under value, bit tough on Fletcher Sharp, to have him in here, but we know that he's one to look for in the future, Burton, Purgie, Strange, Brimson, DCE, Mamm, and Jonah Pesett, right on value, Luke Brooks, 20 to 40% above value, I had Kim Munster in that one, and then the well above value, you had Trendle, Chanel Harris-De-Veter, and Cody Walker, so a couple of options presenting themselves there for the five eighth position, but they're not that easy to get to in terms of cost. Okay, Santa Wing, under value, Mark Noonganita Waze, Val Holmes, KL Ero, Casey McLean, Brian To-O, Ruben Garrick, who's lost the goal kicking now as well, Kara Pani and Shibazzaki, right on value, scored around about their break-even score, you had Crite and Tamale and Cobbo, and right on what have we got here, 20 to 40% above value for their score, you had Jacob Carras projected to get a 76, got a 99, Roger Tuobar-Sashek projected to get a 69, got a 90, Murray Toulongi, couple of tries, Greg Marzou, Asako was in there as well, and you have a plethora of players in the 50 to 100% plus above their break-even value in the Santa Wing, so there are a lot of value opportunities presenting in Santa Wing, so you have to be aware of these. I'll go through them very quickly, Sadoo, Faimani, Sean Russell, Adam Pompi, Tom Chester, Jesse Rameon, Tolotale Cooler, Tom Jenkins, Dom Young, Cioni Katowas, Xavier Savage, Billy Smith, Jack Howeth, and Moses Leo, so all of those were 50 to 100% plus above their break-even value, Moses Leo, like 300% above his break-even value, so he's sort of a player that is gonna become a must-have. The reason why I highlight these is you're gonna have to consider going early on them, like a lot of people like to wait until two rounds, but if you wanna get all these value players in your side and generate cash, then you're gonna have to consider going early on some of them. Fullback under value, Drinky was projected to get a 81, got a 21, Reese Walsh projected to get an 85, got a 34, so well below value. Right on value, you had Connotre, Ceyce, Ciano, Kinney, Isaiah Iongi, Dylan Edwards, James Tadesco, Hamaso, Jai Gray, 20 to 40% above value, you had K-A weeks, and then some really good efforts by the fullbacks there, you had Turbo in the wet, projected to get a 71, got 104, which is around about 46% above value, so I put him up in this major category, so far, Longo got a 116, when he was projected to get a 52 score, so 123% above value, and Kalim Ponga nearly got to 100% above value, he was projected to get a 62 and got a 116. Okay, a lot of numbers in there, hopefully it makes sense to everyone, just thought I'd do a bit of a thorough, comprehensive sweep of what it looks like after week one, lots of decisions to make leading into round two, after our two part, round one, and it's exciting times ahead for Supercouchers, plenty of decisions to be made, plenty of considerations and forward trade planning.
