Week 9 Waivers + Full Stream Ahead - Fantasy Football Podcast for 11/3

The Fantasy Footballers podcast highlights a dynamic week in NFL action, focusing on the Bears’ impressive comeback with DeAndre Swift and Jeffrey Simmons transforming their defense into a major strength. The hosts celebrate the team’s dominant performance against a high-powered Seattle offense, which struggled with inconsistent play and poor passing efficiency. They also discuss broader league trends, including rumors of Lamar Jackson and Derek Henry being traded due to injuries and team rebuilding, sparking debate over value in quarterback and running back markets. Wide receiver analysis leans heavily on Antonio Williams as the top pick, with strong case for Kyron Williams over Justin Jefferson due to better upside and matchup advantages. The team evaluates numerous roster moves, including potential spot starters like South McGowan and Elijah Mitchell, while stressing the importance of injury updates and matchups. A key discussion centers on trade value, with opinions that Jonathan Taylor remains a safer, more reliable asset than Kyron Williams in a trade scenario. The episode concludes with a strong emphasis on strategic waiver wire decisions, offering fantasy managers actionable insights based on performance, health, and situational advantages. A lighthearted segment about a bear hair in a mug underscores the show’s entertaining tone, while the group reaffirms their commitment to fantasy football strategy, community engagement, and timely coverage of breaking news.

[MUSIC] >> Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers podcast with your host, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright. [MUSIC] >> Welcome in. [MUSIC] >> Just me and a bear and Mike. >> I thought you were going to say an NJ gris, classic comedy. >> Yes, yes, bear daddy. >> All right, don't tell people my well name. >> That's private. >> I don't know if we gain or lose subscribers if we talk about World of Warcraft. >> It's probably in that neutral. >> Some in, some out. >> But those of you out there that are 40 years old who played World of Warcraft when we did when we were teenagers, might be aware that wow, forever comes out tomorrow. And then you might further be aware that we have a foot clan guild that were forming. To relive our childhood. Now will we be able to play as much as back then? We pretend we will. >> Yeah. >> But we won't. >> No, no, no. >> But I'm going to think about it. >> Yeah, inside the discord and the gaming, there's a gaming channel. You can go and find out the details if you're, unless you're trying to be a lion's and you can get out. >> Yeah. >> A lion's. Grow up. And Mike's name is Bear Daddy, that's the, that's where the whole, which Jake is approved of. If you didn't notice, if you haven't noticed yet, Jason is not just quiet on the side here if you're listening from home, but he is out. I got it. I got to speak out right now. >> Uh-oh. >> This is this. >> You got a problem with your. >> And the greatest situation Mike, take a look at my mug. >> Okay, I see. It's a, it's a good fantasy footballers mug. >> Take a deeper look at what the Falcon came back to work today. >> Oh. >> The Falcon came back to work today, got me a drink. Put it on the table. >> Hold this out. >> There's a gigantic bear hair inside of my mug. >> Hold on, it's, you don't even, Mike, you're taking, I'm trying to show people how long it actually is. >> I mean, this is grotesque. >> You can't see it on camera, but that's, I'm not lying, that's how long it is. >> That ain't my hair. >> Dupes. >> Discoasting. >> He says. >> Discoasting. >> I don't want, Matthew, get that away from me. >> Give me another beverage. >> Give me another beverage, Falcon. >> Also, give me some. >> Hairless, please. >> Hands sanitizer. >> Joe Rose. >> He steps. >> Monday and brings hairs in on Tuesday. Okay, I'm sorry. >> All right. >> Now we got a game to talk about. >> Unruly. >> 34. >> J Gris. >> 34, 17. J Gris was pleased. >> J Gris. >> Oh. >> J Gris. >> Why not? >> J Gris. >> J Gris. >> J Gris. >> J Gris. >> J Gris. >> J Gris. >> The bears. >> Oh. >> They were. >> That was what was so spectacular. And let me tell you, I think we complimented the trade for Jeffrey Simmons, the two ones earlier in the week because what are the odds to get a player like that for your two ones? >> Because go for it. Go for it. >> Yeah. >> So afraid to look in this new mug. >> This is full of parts. >> Seems clear. >> Can't see parts. >> But this was just a, like reframe what you think of the bears' defense from now on. That's my opinion of this situation. When you have Jeffrey Simmons and sweat, bringing pressure, every play, I think that this bears defense is going to become something special. That's just my opinion. And that means that they're a contender for the Super Bowl because there are very, very good offense. I don't know what the legal rules are and why Luther Burton's not allowed to catch passes in the second half of a game. >> They really, it's Rome is shut down for the first half. >> And it's been burdened explosions. And then the second half they're like, oh, wait, who's that guy? >> Rome? >> Oh, let's just chuck it to him deep. >> Yeah. So, I mean, I just love this bear scene. >> I really do. >> I do too. They're fun. >> They are extremely fun. Deandre Swift is just a fantasy superstar right now. >> 27 carries. >> And I mean, yes, the level in 7 for 65 because of the, the fumble. >> It was a good game, but it was still nothing wrong. >> All three of them. >> Nine targets for him. Nine for Burton. A dunesay had the most yards. >> I guess if you're huge play by Cleef Raymond at the end of the game. >> Caleb would have been the only disappointing play, which he played awesome. >> Yeah. >> Because he, the three touchdowns of Swift. >> On the other side, outside of Jayson, who's automatic, hot wet disaster. I know you talked about like Sam Darnold's second half potential and I'm still in. >> I'm still in. Which of this week, but you know, he looked to me a lot like Kyler Murray did this week, which was kind of one second, two seconds, skittish feet getting afraid. The pressure was getting to him. Couldn't complete pass with anybody but Jayson and mostly Jayson in the first half. No running game to speak up. >> I think that the, as it turns out, if you only have one real playmaker at the, even though he's the best, Jayson, probably the best wide receiver in the NFL now, right. If you don't have a running game that people have to actually be concerned about, AKA Ken Bone Walker. >> I knew you were going to say that. AKA whoopsed the doozles. They just, yeah, Jayson's going to get his, but at the end of the day, that's not a functioning offense. 100% agree, look, it's like, so Jardin Price. This one's pretty funny. He's 10 for 29. That's pretty, that's pretty disgusting. Zach Sharbonay, six for 23. Now I know it's the game of all of the, they don't have this play, but I'm saying these weren't spectacular. So Price had a carry. His long was nine yards. >> Yep. >> So that means he was nine for 20. >> Yep. >> Jardin Price had a carry of 13 yards, which means he was five for 10, ripping off two yards of carry. >> It was not getting it done. >> It was just impossible. And nobody stepped up in the receiving room. It was not good. They're formed for it. I mean, the Seahawks don't look like the same team right now, and we'll see what happens. But impressive huge road win for the Bears. I mean, it's like both of the, so the menace, you had the Minnesota and the Seattle defense. And they both happened to be matched up against very high-powered offenses. And this week, team offense won. >> Yeah. So it was a, it was a fun one and the people at home, they need to know. Al Borland did manage to pull off the incredible upset comeback victory. He needed something like 42 points and he had Swift and JSN, which were four of the touchdowns of the game. >> Three rushing touchdowns. Certainly helps people win. >> Crazy. Mike, you want to talk some news? >> Yeah. >> Let's do it. >> News and notes from around the league. >> Further confirming the news, the rumors, the suspected situation. The Ian Rapp report said Lamar and Jackson, likely out for the season with the injury. Joe Fogano, Fagnano, is dealing with some things physically. Well, that's going to be a problem because he's, yeah, there's a game on Thursday. I mean, Lamar won't be playing, Tyler Huntly will not be playing. Perhaps their emergency quarterback from Sunday won't be playing. >> Which means that they raised a key dawn slowvis from the practice squad. >> No, no. >> It's a trade for him. >> I thought he was a practice squad poll. >> I thought it was Austin Rita trade. >> Which one was it? >> This is where, right? >> The Ravens sign him. >> Yeah. So he was on the-- >> Oh, he did trade for the slowvis from the Green Bay practice school. >> Yes. >> Who, fun fact, threw two passes for the Arizona Cardinals last year. Small sample. >> Okay. >> Go on. >> He completed one of them. >> Okay. >> So that's the good news. 50% completion. >> Yeah. >> It's not the best for negative two yards. >> So his career passing is negative two. >> So he, per game, a per attempt basis, he averages negative passing. >> Let me tell you how bad it is for Baltimore fans. >> But don't worry, he gets to play what the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday and continues to rise. It's like nine and a half now. It's going to be a disaster. >> Can you play Derek Henry? >> I mean, he's going to be the offense. >> It sort of feels like the decision on starting take one this past week. It feels like yes, is the answer because people started, Rashad White, people started, he's going to be 25 for 42. >> Yeah. And Jacksonville is the number one team against the run. Number one. So you play, if Jacksonville played every man covered Derek Henry on every play, the Baltimore offense probably still couldn't complete passes. And this is going to be a human, I mean, say flowers. >> Yeah. >> That's a question of who you can play. >> Yeah. >> What's his ceiling in again? >> Yeah, your problem, Henry's probably more playable than flowers. >> Yeah. I mean, I don't know what your options are, Mike. I know flowers is on your team. >> It's the fond digs. Oh, gosh. You're probably going digs. >> Probably. Well, I got to see who ends up starting if it's a, get on slowly. Davis. I will be planks to fun digs. Now there's rumors about Derek Henry being traded. There's rumors about Lamar being traded while about the team rebuilding because if you lose in a season, Lamar's not on a contract or he wants an extension, right? So Lamar Jackson is going to be by the time he plays football again, 30 and a half years old, coming off of brutal injury after brutal injury slowed down season. He has one more year on his contract. And the problem with Lamar's is like, how much of the running, like maybe he'll run until he's 35. I don't know. It doesn't generally happen that way. It didn't happen that way for Cam Newton. Yeah, different style, but it you can't. I mean, it's just harder. Yes. You're not 23, 24 anymore. So that whole team, like if Derek Henry gets traded, which I think if you're a Derek Henry manager, you would want because probably I just don't know what the solution is. Like if they, if they're trying to make the playoffs, they should go trade for Jacobi Berset. Yeah, I can. I have an agent. It might happen today. These guys, this is breaking news a lot week because the trade deadlines on the way, they're the Jonathan Taylor, you know, rumors are incessant. Like Mike is handling a pisser get off the pot situation. It's, it's so frustrating. The look, we, we all talk about football. This is how we make our living. We need audience. But it's like, come on. How this one singular story? And every time it's like, dude, we got breaking news. You're like, Oh, what's going on? Like we've narrowed it down to the exact same teams that we had at narrowed down to one week ago. But now it's a fresh story. Get out of here. Yep. Also, I do love that all the giants chatter. Like, like the giants are a running back away. No, you're not. No, you're, I mean, you're, you, I think they need to go in because they can easily win the division. Yeah. But it's like, you're not a running back away. You're putting a lot of stock. I'm a JG McCarthy guy. Well, he's played one game. Yeah, it'd be one thing if you were running complete, like, like cams cataboos a good running back. Yeah. So what's the gap between him and and Derek Henry? That's pretty, it's still pretty wide. But is it enough to lose assets to go get Derek Henry? Well, at least if you get John, then Taylor, he's your dude for a couple of years. If you get Derek Henry, he'll be expensive. Yeah, he'll be very expensive. I think the, I think people are going to get the bidding war is going to be crazy and the expectation is is that John and Taylor, two, three, four, five, they want, you know, something like that or not trade it or not trade it. Just get it over with just just just do it. Just do it. Do it. Well, look, the bet, do it on a Monday, do it on Tuesday, do it only in the week. Yeah. Do it. But when you can get ready for the game, collar Murray, dealing with a wing, sore hamstring. So we'll see Carson wins this week probably. I'll see. I don't know. Matthew Stafford has dealt with some soreness in his right arm. That's the throwing arm. John McVey talked about that. Daniel Jones is going to start for the, the cults. So our guy, Matthew Betts put up a post or a tweet post Stafford's average depth of target by week. This week three, 10.1. Awesome. 9.2. Pretty good. 6.9, 5.3, 5.3, 3.8. Is that Adams plus a restricted Nikua? Maybe in a sore arm. I don't know. Oh, I had a sore arm. These are not the trends you want to see happening. No, they're supposed to get a mile scare back. Is he going to start practice this week? Daniel Jones is going to stay the starter for the cults. And there you go. Yeah. It makes sense. Unless you somehow could convince someone to trade for him. Big Cardinals news. Gardner mentioned you name the starter. Carson Beck named the backup and Jacobi Brissett named the last man. Yeah. On the depth chart. The timing of that announcement with the, what's going on with the Ravens? Oh, like, okay, you just demoted him to third. Just free. Just say, yeah, it here. Pay for his airfare. Get him a couple meal. Well, because the Cardinals paid him this year. So getting that off the books would be good. It's just saying literally pay by a ticket. Yes. Just just just or seven. There you go. Seven. There you go. Kendrick born is out for the year for the Cardinals. Jeremiah loves right ankle injury is a new portion of the ankle, according to Michael floor. Bam nights in concussion protocol. And then who was the one who didn't have a low or high ankle sprain? Was it love? I don't remember who it was. Amid. It wasn't a marble marble. Okay. AJ Brown will be ready for week nine. The question was posed to Mike Ravel who said we'll see how he progresses through the week, which sounds like I just wasted my breath saying that out loud. All right, we'll take a break and we'll get into the waiver wire. Formal policy change for the fantasy footballers. If the answer to a question is what is by default, what all teams are going to do, we cannot make a news. Like all injured players will be evaluated based on how they progress through the week. That will now be known by all. And we will never report it again. Waver wire time. Waver wire presented by team mobile. Steelers and Titans going into the buy. So it's not the strongest waver wire this week. Is that your disclaimer? Yeah. Like don't expect much. How about Tyler Algier? Also, we after Mondays game. So it's like, yeah, Tyler Algier, he feels like kind of the number one pickup de facto because of injuries where like Jeremiah love is going to be out. Bam Nights out with concussion. Does he progress and come back? It's a fair issue because until last week. Bam Nights had been outplaying Tyler Algier with Jeremiah love out. But like the way they I moved to Gendarian price up. Like Gendarian price is in the waiver. Vitalization. Yeah, he felt like he was the number one guy. And Tyler Algier is going to play Seattle, the Rams, Kansas City. Would you rather have the volume rental of Tyler Algier or one of the other guys? I have risen on my thoughts regarding Algiers. You tell me even with the tough matchups because I think he's going to get all the work. I think that the Cardinals can move the football with Gardner men's shoe. And I think what you talked about like Jason said, anybody can get a touchdown. Like I think Algier getting all the goal line work, those opportunities. Deandre Swift had three touchdowns. Yeah, exactly. But not a lot of yards. Right. But he was 27 carries for 69 yards and like Caleb Williams and the Bears offense is great. But like Algier had five targets. Like I just think that I think that Algier is serviceable. Now what do you spend on him? It might not be as much as your leaguemates might try to chase. I mean, I I think he's number one on the list. Is he number one for you Algier? Yeah. No, I've moved price. Price is two for me. Price will get work and opportunity. I do think there's a plan in place for Zach Charbonne. I think that plan is a limited amount of snaps. Just like they didn't bring them back the week. He was available. They waited another week. So I think price will be the dude. I think Charbonne will be in there. I think it's going to be like Price's Walker now. Yeah. Where it wasn't great last year. But it would like a low end running back too. Yeah. More like I wouldn't imagine prices above 25 rest of the season. I think that's fair. Mike Washington Jr. had 25 carries this and we the what was the latest quote from it was it was it was a ridiculous. It was something about the the running back room is going to be a moving targets. Something like that. Yep. We can we can pull the team's backfield touch distribution will be a quote moving target. Yeah. And that's not fun. But Mike Washington the reason Mike Washington has a higher value. Where was it? Where was Gen. T five overall. Yeah. Hmm. Not great. Hmm. No. Maybe don't do that anymore. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe don't. Mike Washington. Thank you. Is if Gen. T is banged up and hurt. And that's why some of the carries have gone down. And there's the potential. And he's good. Right. Yeah. What Mike Washington is good. So to me, he he's only 30% roster. It's kind of crazy. Emmett Johnson had the huge week. Like you enter the secondary category now. I'm like, and funny enough, Washington's matchups are also garbage coming up with Sam Road. Yeah. Road San Francisco home Seattle road Denver. No, if I if I was looking for let's let's categorize it a little differently here. If I was looking for a player to like be able to spot start to me. Devancing. Devancing. There's a single Terry this week. Absolutely. Against Philadelphia. Scataboo has been working on the side. He's got the hamstring. They haven't traded for anybody. And then Kenny Gainwell with the new offensive philosophy of not passing. I know that won't be exactly the same. But it is going to be their mindset. Their mindset is going to be win in the trenches. They did it two previous weeks. Gainwell will get opportunities. Price is a spot start as well. And you could look like are you ever going to approach him at Johnson as a committee spot start situation? No, not until you see. More where a real amount of I mean because what was his actual opportunity only at 90% of snaps six here's his opportunities Let's go so week one was a bit of a surprise the attend opportunities since then four six one six three six Very talented player, but that's not The only way that that could possibly work is you're like all the Kansas City Chiefs have blown out the New York Jets and in the fourth quarter Kenneth Walker gets benched Yeah, rested. I should say yeah It South McGowan His roster percentage is up to 47% the writings on the wall He could be the starting running back for the Indianapolis Colts could could be and I to me his numbers look pretty good Compared to what Taylor's been doing in that offense. I Think South McGowan is one of those players. I mean Mike you you had a Braille and Ellen yes early in the season And it's paid off in a big way. He might end up being the starter the hilarious thing will be This will this will finally be the week. So Jonathan Taylor will be traded out of his matchup against Dallas. Oh, man, and then Condemned to the next two weeks Dallas Miami Dallas Miami You leave us with no work against the Jags. That's probably what's gonna happen It's so annoying and then It's not like it Like I said, it's tough in the streets here. I think Elijah Mitchell is Interesting while Sequan Barclay is is hurt Elijah Mitchell Eleven carries six targets really no production, but Involved I think he out's out snapped Barclay too. You don't think Barclay is just gonna get a little healthier and get a little more action I'm worried about Mitchell getting phased It definitely could go that way or a price had a big game. I mean they appears. I mean Damien Pierce had a big game for them With the absence of Sequan Make some sense and yeah, you had Elijah Mitchell with 39 snaps to 22 for Barclay 19 routes for Mitchell seven for Barclay I just I I wonder if they like Barclay will have to be managed for a while. Are you dropping Hampton Dobbins and Manuel Wilson Trevo? Oh my gosh, there are some conversations going on now and Los Angeles about the team rethinking a three-man Rotation rotation. So I just go to Kamani Vidal who is probably better running back I mean I probably wouldn't drop Hampton. I probably wouldn't drop Dobbins. I'd be happy to drop Wilson I'd be happy to drop Trevo. It's very clear. Emmanuel Wilson went from something to nothing instantaneously That won't I mean Halani was getting more third downs than he was Emmanuel Wilson was great for them. I know And they just said peace. They're like, you know what we got to get back to this thing that really works Yeah, yeah, but I Dobbins I wouldn't drop because Jonathan has been hurt already. Yeah the depth there. Harvey's on IR. So he'll miss at least three more Yeah It's yeah, that's tough because they're also in the Taylor sweepstakes and remember the longer we get towards the end of the season The more you need to make sure you're running backs for the playoffs are insured. Yes Not everybody has a clear insurance situation, but like image onsen obviously for Kenneth Walker Kenny Gainwell is, you know, the Bucky Irving insurance back Chris Rodriguez is the Bay shawl Tutan insurance back and then I'm getting closer to thinking that Valky is worth Like there was a point in the early part of the season where we hadn't seen enough of him Where he didn't seem like maybe a true backup. He's got some juice. He's okay. Yeah Antonio Williams. Let's talk wide receivers. He remains he remains my number one pickup. I'm with you He's my number one pickup as well, and he's still on the 36% roster. It got seven targets Last week against Jason refuses To get on board. He refuses to get on board with it. I don't understand why he would be on the Mokai lemon train and not the Antonio Williams train. I don't know. What does he think? Nothing just garbage again Um, no, I like to what I saw and he's out there and what do you what are you going to bet on trail on Berks? As being a superstar. I don't I don't mind Berks. I think Berks is a fine pick. I don't mind Berks at all. I'm just saying We've seen a lot of Berks. We have not seen a lot of Williams and there's gonna be brighter days ahead than the Philadelphia matchup. Yep So Williams is still at the top, but you have some players you can play. I Ryan Flanoi continues to find his way into the end zone and get snaps and routes for Dallas, Caleb Douglas Like He's a big pickup last week. I didn't have any problem with what happened this week. They missed on a couple big plays He's got a Detroit matchup six targets four for 43. You're not gonna have it every single week with Malik Willis, but this week could be a good one Yep, real quick for so Washington and Tony Williams did lead the team in routes and targets. Yeah I mean, that's a good something. I personally like that they move him to both. So he he's playing Not 50 50, but but close of inside outside. Yeah, like that's that's beautiful We want our guys to get schemed on move them into the slot every once in a while. Scheme up a touch. Yep. Just see what they can do. Scheme that touch That's what you got to do. Malik Washington continues to just be a ho-home Situation is the the waiver while rent rental. Yeah, and then add an I mentioned trailing birx not rostered Add an I mentioned chasing that feels precarious But you have to remember Mitchell had a really good week one got hurt Obviously, Geno Smith likes to arm him the football when he's been out there and been healthy so Kansas City this week though. Don't love that Um, Bert. Bert is going to get opportunities down the fence and in the red zone Yeah, if you're talking this particular week because the Washington so Antonio Williams and trailing birx they get the Rams Keenan Allen down here Gets Dallas and he's just Just absolutely still Getting them targets seven targets seven for 67. Yeah and as you chase his greatness. I mean in full PPR Kalosha Kier has been super involved as well In full PPR 13 11 13 11 that's what he's done the last four weeks. So, you know I've said in half PPR if you want nine points. This is your dude. So Keenan is seven receptions From surpassing Tim Brown to be number five In the total receptions Josh Downs could get traded today or this week sure I yeah, you know, I'm moving Keenan up You're doing that right now. Yeah Moving him up move him up the ranks. Would you have him or Malik? Ah, I guess it sounds like Keenan. Yeah, it's Keenan gross gross gross Um you want to talk some Titans because because we can this will be brief Yeah, I mean That's it that was a whole segment I mean, I don't even like I don't like any of the options right now The only one that I think is a sneaky Guaranteed target upside tight end that you can pick up and play genuinely He is Eli Raredon Rookie Titan for the during the painters because of Hunter Henry's injury. Yep So Raredon has shown some stuff. He was the Titan five two weeks ago He's had a couple of weeks that were Impressive third-round pick If you have never heard of him Did we mention Ryan Flanoi the wider circle from yeah, yeah, yeah, he's near the top because he's just heavily involved He's getting it done and I don't think George Pickens will be traded. I was just gonna ask you I really don't I was asking if that was a possibility it it it it's a possibility in terms of they're not gonna give up on the season It makes sense, but Jerry Jones is not a guy to give up Jerry Jones there was a quote circulating this morning about George of Him sounding upset saying like we need to get George Pickens more targets like the boss man is saying let's make this happen But it's just analyzing the situation of he's on the franchise contract If you want him next year you're gonna have to give him a ton of cash take up a large amount of your cap space It was already gonna be a difficult thing to handle for your team still and do a complaint every time he's not involved but it's it's a You have to navigate everything But then Ryan Flanoi is playing just as much if not more on occasion than than George Pickens Ad he's showing that he's capable. So do you just take like George Pickens could Should be able to get you a bounty Something like Kansas City My god Go get George Pickens That would be like Josh Downs is not he's helping Josh Downs isn't Isn't reshaping your wide receiver room But with with Kansas City having to make their decision very soon on Richie Rice And you could have a game changer like George Pickens you can actually stretch the field It makes total sense. I really I don't think that's gonna happen if it works it works well for you and you can think about the contract in but doesn't word Bye-bye. Yeah, yeah, I don't think Dallas would I don't think it will but when you're in this game of fantasy football you got it like good There were you know what week two imagining the jets trading breeze hall Like that wasn't on my radar at all and all of it but then he gets hurt Braille and Allen plays awesome for over a month and you're like Well Maybe to improve the team breeze hall is expendable - Yeah, we didn't talk about that in the news, but the Breeze Hall conversations right now seem like they're dismissing trade talks. - Well, the coach is, as he should be. - Yeah, the coach is. I realized this is a very sad wave a week, is what it feels like. This is why I tried to get in front of it. - Yeah, it did. - It's not very strong. I mean, you have Mike Getzicki, who somehow has four weeks inside the top 12, which is a spot start miracle touchdown guy, the longest arms. - It's higher, John McLean shirt, by the way, delightful. Christmas season is here. That's what that means. - That's sir. - Yes, sir. - Holiday classic. - Kali. - Kali. - I agree. - It is for me. There's no movie I'd rather watch. Maybe home alone. - Yeah, the home alone. - Home alone was just a hard shirt. - Was it? - Yeah. - I tried not to look at you. - I understand. - Terrence Ferguson. - By looking at the sun. - Sure. - Burns my eyes. - Yeah. - Terrence Ferguson. - Yes, Terrence Ferguson. - I mean, - In addition, just in case they need somebody there. - Last I saw, they thought I saw, quote, Kyle's he even can find it that they thought Ferguson was going to start practicing. Hope I'm not making that up. - He can get 5.4 yards away from the line of scrimmage for a Stafford target. - There it is. - Good chance to practice. - Terrence Ferguson has a good chance to practice this way. - Ferguson should be picked up. - I don't think I brought up any drop candidates for wide receiver. I don't know if you have any guys that are concerning you right now. Like Tyler Warren is not in that category. People may need to monitor or worry about expectations, but I am concerned about Warren, but I'm not gonna drop him. - I don't know if Brooks, do you have any wide receivers that were brought up? - Defensive options this week. I mean, they're roster, but Jacksonville gets to play a Baltimore, so please. - Take a quick peek. - But Houston, do you think Houston comes off the buy against the Giants and we see more of-- - The Chargers. - Oh, you were saying they played the Giants. - Yeah, they played the Giants and then they went into the buy and then do you think they come out against the Chargers and bring a little bit more of what we saw last year? There's such a-- - Well, I know that poor performing defense right now. Justin Herbert is at least one free turnover a week. - It seems that way. And then they play Cleveland, Indy. So Houston's a good pick up for the short term. Detroit plays Miami this week. That one is, you know, Detroit's not an amazing defense, no. But not a bad matchup situation. - They shut down the powerhouse that is the Minnesota Vikings. Giants play Philly and Tanner McKee. - Yeah, I think that's a good spot start there. - You know, Jason's not here today, but he's here in a certain way. - Yeah. - He's here in a way. - Yeah, yeah. - Yeah, he's in the slack. - You got it, you've got it pulled together. - He's in the slack. I'm sorry. That was WaverWire presented by T-Mobile. When you're updating your roster right before kickoff, you've got coverage you can count on just another reason game days are better with T-Mobile. Check it out at t-mobile.com/membership. Take a break and answer some of your questions. (upbeat music) - Jason's gonna be gone for a few days, thankfully. Thankfully. - We gotta get out of here, Jason. - He's trying to ruin the show. We've got to talk quarterbacks. (upbeat music) - Bullstream ahead. - One of the drop candidates I have is in fact, Jason. I think Matt is at the top of my list, the Falcon, on my drop candidates and then Jason is next. My streaming quarterback of the week, Mike Malik-Willis. Malik-Willis again. - That was going to be my stream, wasn't it? - Yeah, Detroit. He's been a lot better since the by week, 202 in both games, completing 66% of his passes. Lions are dead last against quarterbacks. I mean, even Kyler Murray and his horrible game was QB8 last week, so Malik is my streamer. - Yeah, and he's, I mean, the last two weeks have been better. 200 yards and two touchdowns, two passive touchdowns each of those weeks, completing the high 60% of his passes. I think it's a good stream if you are in a situation. Jason's calling his shot on Carson Wentz, just assuming that Kyler Murray will. - Yeah, the fact that Jason's not here and wants us to mention that he is associated with Carson Wentz. - Yeah, well, Jason has been very vocal of his support for Carson Wentz. And I'm gonna, it stinks, but this is streaming. This is what it's about. Sometimes it's disgusting. - Bro, you removed Jason from our Slack channel. - Yeah. - I was going, like, I went to remove him and when I saw who was in our channel, there was no Jason to remove. And then I come back and you'd already removed him. - Yeah. - Thank goodness. - Got to get the saboteur out of here. - I know, all right. - It's Sam Donald. - Arizona. - Arizona, I, Dallas, they're their own thing right now, man. They're, they just, their offense is, looks very broken. But the Cradinals, they're still 30. - Why'd you say Dallas? - Because of that. - Because Dallas didn't really get it done. - It's ironic because it's a little push comes to shove here. The, the Seahawks offense doesn't look good either. - No. - But it's at home. - They will, they will look better against the Arizona Cardinals. - But just what if? - Okay. - All right. - Yeah. - What if, I know it won't happen. But I want the world to know that if the Cardinals beat the Seahawks this week, nine weeks into the year, they will have the same record. I just want people to understand, I want my Seahawks friends who bask in their championship and enjoy it. If that were to happen, what you shouldn't happen, 'cause Gardiner Menchew should not beat you in your home stadium. But if, if it happens, they'll both be four and five, which is just, yep. - What is the line there, like 600 points? - Do you, the Rams? - Oh, 10 and a half. - The Rams and Seattle have four wins a piece. The Cardinals are at three. - Man. - Ridiculous. - So Kyle's letting me know a, an underdog of seven plus points has won outright in each of the first eight weeks of the league this year. - I wasn't that, the Cardinals last week? - Yeah. And that was the first time it's happened since 1971 for it to be every week. Cardinals 10 and a half point underdogs in Seattle. And they should get smashed. But. - Bookmakers, yeah. - And Sam Darnel should be just fine. - Yes. - I got real scared last night, though, 'cause somebody wrote me and they were like, who's more guaranteed for 15 points, like no matter what last night, Caleb or Darnel? And I, what do you think I answered? - Man. - 'Cause they wanted to just guarantee 15 to what? - I guarantee for 15, I, the not, not fully, like thinking of the Simmons impact. I would have gone with Darnel. - That's what I did. - For just a, you're like a baseline of 15? - Yeah, a baseline of, because I thought the worst case scenario of last night was Seattle shuts down. - Yeah. - They look so good on defense the week before, Caleb has some kind of disaster game. And then I'm getting like, we're like halfway through this game, I'm going, before that Jason touchdown for Darnel. - Right. - And I don't know, where did Darnel finish? - He probably was barely over that. - He had. - I know he had the two touchdowns. - Yeah, 'cause he had Cooper Cup. - He had one pick. - 17 and a half. - Did he outscore Caleb? - You know what he might have. I bet it was very close. - Yeah, that was, I got nervous. Caleb was at 14. - Huh, huh, that won it. 14, you lose, 17 and a half, you win. Whoo. - Every once in a while. All right, into the mailbag, we go. (upbeat music) - Mailbag. (singing) - Jason spamming other channels now. Into the mailbag, we go. If you got a question, go to the website at dfantasyfovelallers.com. We are here to help dial the voicemail hotline through zero, two, four, six, four, TFFB. - We're not, we won't help you dial it. - No, we will not help you if you don't, do people know how to dial a phone anymore? - No, it just sound like you said we're here to help you dial. - We're here to help, yes. We will send someone over and bring a rotary phone. Mac and Guam. - Oh! - Bonsure. - Yeah, oh, Bonsure Ballers, he says. Would you rather have, who would you rather have rest of season in a PPR league? Parker Washington or Luther Burton. I will say this. Yesterday, I got some feedback in the comments. - About Parker. - Well, it was the Parker Jamison and you guys were very quick to say Parker. And there were some thoughts, maybe that was like too quick to like dismiss, oh, it was picking. Sorry, it was Pickens and Parker Washington. And some people were like, yeah, it's too quick to say Parker versus Pickens with how Parker's been playing. But this one's a rest of season Parker or Luther Burton. This person is the Caleb Williams and the Tutan Manager. I mean, that swings it for me. I don't think they're gonna be that far off. You guys, Jason said he thought Parker was like, "White receiver, 12 rest of season." I was way off of that. I'm like 18 to 20. I think Burton's 18 to 20. And then you don't have, you get the stack and you don't have to mess around with, you know, Tutan and Parker can't score on the same play. I love a Lawrence and Parker stack. - Right. - I don't necessarily love, I mean, that's an offense. I'm okay with it, Parker and Tutan, just like I am with Gibbs and Almond Ron and stuff like that. But I mean, where do you side on that one? I lean Burton for this specific context. - Because of the context, it does help to have the stack and avoid the competition, the same team. Parker, thank you, Matthew. Parker is past his buy, so you have an extra game. Should you go that way? direction. I just don't fully understand. I mean, look, it's Ben Johnson. He's winning. The bears look incredible. But how is Luther Burton running 25 routes? Raymond's at 26, Rome's at 34. And yet Lutherburne had nine targets. It's very clear that when Luther Burton is running a route, he is getting open and Caleb Williams likes to throw him the ball. It's it's it's very strange. Well, in the biggest play of the game last night, in my opinion, was was Kaleigh Freeman, the the rush. Yeah, the 39 yard rush on, you know, to close the game out. Anthony on X writing in, I just got a trade proposal. Kyron Williams for Justin Jefferson. So getting offered Kyron, trading away Justin Jefferson. You know, I believe Jefferson's rest of season will not be as bad as it's been. I believe it will continue to be terrible. So would you do the move? Because I mean, Kyron's so how does Jefferson improve Carson wins? Okay. I mean, he would he would be better. I do believe he will be better if Carson wins takes over, but I don't think that this is like a slam dunk. I mean, if you want the Kyron side, it's fine. Do you need a wide receiver? You need a running back running back to normally more scarce. I'm fine. But it's like if even even if I'm like, I really need a wide receiver. I feel like I could trade for Kyron. And then I could trade Kyron for a better wide receiver than Justin Jefferson. I don't know. I don't know if the Kyron, he belongs in the upper echelon tiers. But I think there's more. It's more suspect with the quorum emergence. Don't you think? Like I mean, what do you what's a better wide receiver? You think you can trade Kyron for a larvae? Maybe because I would if you could do Justin Jefferson to Kyron to a larvae. Kyron is the running back six. Kyron has has finished no worse than scoring back 24. He can he cannot stop scoring. He loves it. He loves scoring. It's it's just it is the recipe for the Rams. Yeah. And I I do I agree that if Carson wants going to let me ask you that. But I don't know that they're actually going to make that move. Let me ask you this Mike. All right. The follow up question with Kyron Williams. Your exact situation. Oh, if Gabe wrote in and it's going to mic you have right in Taylor. Got it. Would you trade Kyron for Jonathan Taylor or vice versa? In your situation, you don't know where Jonathan you have to make this call today. Someone sends it through your inbox today and you've got to decide to ship Jonathan Taylor out and you get Kyron Williams for us this season. You remove all variables of which teams Taylor does or doesn't go to or stays home. Like I imagine you do that trade for Kyron if you knew Jonathan Taylor was staying in Indy. Yeah, I would. So then and go through the they have the same points for game right now. Thinking about the teams. Yeah, where are you because you have to you have to use rational coaching of if if a team is going to to pay the price to trade for Jonathan Taylor, which it will be two three four. It'll probably be something like that like a two three four where it's I mean, that's a huge amount of your of next year's draft or split into two years. However, they they figure out how to do it. So yeah, you would have to use that player a ton. But it's like if he goes to Seattle, would they actually do it? That's the one place I'm the most afraid of them doing it. If he goes to Green Bay, can Jonathan Taylor actually he'll score a bunch of touchdowns. Yeah, he'll be good. He'll be good. It won't be it won't be these explosive like yardage games. It'll be better than the Colts. Yeah, culture at the bottom, right? Yeah, then it's probably like the committee situation I'm most worried about is Seattle one is Seattle. Yeah. And then the Denver, New York Giants, I think the Giants would just give them everything. Right. And I think that Denver would probably give them everything. Denver freaks me out because they 100% should and if they trade those. But their downs could be Harvey. They just do stupid. They would do Harvey calling their downs. You would not get their downs on the dealer, which is nonsense. Did you see Peyton come out on the field? And like when he was dappin up, uh, Tramock bride. And he's like Tramock bride. Was it was it Tramock bride? Huh? Yeah, Sean Peyton. When what what week? A couple of weeks ago. Oh, okay. I was like, they didn't play the Cardinals last week. The Cardinals played Denver. Okay. Denver smoked them two weeks ago. I was just saying Peyton went out on the field. It was just funny because he's like, he's like, man, I've seen a lot of joker tight ends and you're one of them. You know, he brought up the Joker thing. It's shot up about the Joker. Yeah, yeah, the Joker is the Joker's a figment of his imagination. I've certainly see Dragon. I've had some good Joker tight ends and you're certainly one of them. You had Jimmy Graham. Well, and he's and he spent every day bleeding. He said another one. He sure said, I'm not on your I'm not on your team. You're certainly one of them. Yeah. I mean, what is the width? What is the last? We're actually good tight end that we've gotten from a Sean. And I've seen a lot of this is a research question. A lot of volcano wide receivers and you're wonderful because we what do you just make up stuff after Jimmy Graham was gone. Then it was Kobe Flynn. It was next Joker. Have an Ingram. Joker. It's like wind wind. Also, wind wind's the last time Peyton had like a high powered offense that didn't have a Hall of Fame quarterback throwing the ball Hall of Fame quarterbacks. Mate coaches look real good. They are. It was Ken Wiesenhunt got Kurt Warner. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They're really Adam Gays' career was made out of Peyton Manning. Yeah. Yeah. Nobody knows who's responsible for good for this good stuff. I mean, how the truth of the matter is if you have an offense with a Hall of Fame quarterback and they're awesome, you're going to get all the credit. It's just the way it works. So Johnny Taylor for Kyron. Yeah. Yeah. What do you think? Who's got Kyron? Nobody in this room, right? We can't like put this on. Jeremy doesn't have Kyron. I know. It's surprising. No, I think it's like a record. He's got Goldie. Oh, Jared, Jared Cook. I bet you don't do it if it was on the table. I bet you don't because I bet you think to yourself gosh, who wins me a championship? Gosh, it's the super situation. Man, because I my belief is on the side that Taylor doesn't get traded. Okay. Like I think, you know, it's so hard to be where I believe things are right now. I don't know that Alina doesn't get traded. It's the easier thing for the Colts. It's not the better thing, but it's easier. And it's an identity in the future. Yeah. I don't know. So they could be terrible again next year. Correct. What was the guy that they write? But also then two years from now, they will still be terrible. Right. Right. Yeah. To be fair, they've been terrible for a bunch of years now. Yeah. Man, from eight and one to this last year, eight and one Achilles. When Daniel Jones runs hot, he runs really hot. But he's like, that was drafted in the top 10. Yeah. But he's only done that, I think twice. Run hot. Yeah. He runs hot just in time to get more money. Remember him making that like 70 yard run in the fall and down. Yeah. That was the ultimate turf monster. That was the ultimate. All right. We're going to say goodbye for today. We got a midseason review show tomorrow, which is always fun. Some Thursday night preview because football never stops. Good luck on your waiver wire. And make sure you get all of those bids in. Get it. Tony Williams, everybody. Get that one, dude.
