Week 9 Waiver Wire: MUST ADD Players, Injury Replacements & Streamers (11/3 Fantasy Football Podcast)

Fantasy football in week nine demands strategic urgency as the season enters its midpoint and playoff qualification becomes a realistic goal. The panel emphasizes that running backs—particularly Mike Washington of the Raiders—offer the most reliable upside due to his established role and consistent workload, though injuries to players like Jeremiah Love and Scabu create uncertainty. Devonta Singletary and Tyler Algier are considered viable backups, especially with the Giants and Cardinals facing injury-driven roster gaps. Quarterbacks such as Malik Willis and Kirk Cousins stand out due to strong recent performances and favorable matchups. Wide receivers like Antonio Williams and Makai Lemon emerge as top picks due to target volume and depth needs, while tight ends including Dulcich and Chico Condo present opportunities against weak defensive schemes. Defensive matchups are highlighted, with the Giants, Chiefs, and 49ers offering high-value defensive side decisions. The panel stresses that waiver wire picks should be made with caution, relying on late-day updates to account for injury news and practice reports. Key players like Jonah Coleman and Seth McGowan are prioritized based on league-specific availability and injury risks. Ultimately, success hinges on balancing risk with value, using data, and staying flexible amid constant roster changes.

Whatever's holding you back, hymns has a real plan for it. Be confident, be hymn. This is fantasy football today from CBS Sports. Swap away! Can you believe this? It's a no again. It's time to dominate your fantasy league. After the race is over, he stays on his feet. Just get out of the distance. Now, here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie and Heath. Well, this is a doozy of a waiver wire. Welcome to the show of everybody. It's fantasy football today, presented by hymns. And we're going to make you confident in your waiver claims for fantasy week nine. Dave said before the show, "It's week nine." And meant like, "Wow, time flies, huh? We're halfway through." About that. And that right, Dave? I mean, fantasy playoffs start in week 15, so we're more than halfway through in the fantasy regular season. This is the time to put your foot on the gas, make a big move, get some wins, get into the playoffs, knock off some number one seeds, win the championship, make fun of all your friends. You know, you know what the plan is from here. When Dave said this is the time to, "Did anybody else think Billy Joel?" "Anybody else go and loses the time?" No, just me. All right, let's get into our top three waiver wire priorities. I just want to say a couple things. Jonah Coleman is not available in many CBS leagues, but he is available in Yahoo and Sleeper. And I'm not sure about ESPN, but he's about 70-ish percent rostered in those leagues. So 90 percent rostered in CBS. So he's not going to be part of this show, but if Jonah Coleman is available, I am sure I speak for them that you should pick it up probably as your first priority. So check Jonah Coleman. And then his crazy that we are eight weeks, now nine weeks into the season, through eight weeks, Kirk Cousins is the number six quarterback per game in fantasy, and he is 73 percent rostered. His schedule is about to get tougher, but we'll see. Is it? I mean, San Francisco, I don't know if they're good. They haven't really been tested this year. Well, they got buckner now, so embosses should be back. They should be better, but he's been good against the Rams. He's been good against the chiefs, good against the chargers. They're not that easy of a matchup. Are we sure that's going to be his schedule? No, obviously, but anyway, I don't want to talk too much about Kirk Cousins, but I just want to. It's kind of crazy that a guy who is the sixth best quarterback in fantasy is only rostered in 73 percent of our leagues. 56 percent, I believe, of Yahoo leagues. So that's just like a random thought from Adam. Now, let's get to the more important stuff. Jamie, top three waiver wire priorities for week nine. Yeah, this really isn't set in stone. There's just a lot of different ways you can go depending if you need quarterback tight end help. And the running backs and receivers are kind of like in this jumbled mix of guys. But I put Mike Washington at the top, just in case this is going to continue for the Raiders. And they, you know, leave him as the lead running back here after what we saw last week with Ashton Gentie playing 40 percent of the snaps and Washington playing 60 percent of the snaps. And then two rookie receivers in Antonio Williams and McCuy lemon for Williams. Not the best of games, but certainly was involved in trailing Berks is clearly a part of this as well. But you know that there's going to be no tearing McLaren and hopefully we get a little bit more pass volume for everybody. Not that seven targets is bad, but I think William just scratching the surface of what he could do. And as long as Don Tavey and Wicks mostly, but as long as Wicks and Devonte Smith remain out. I think McCuy lemon is going to be relevant for the Eagles and what their quarterback situation is right now. So back to back games with eight plus targets, 11 plus PPR points for him. And so a guy that you can use as a starter in three receive release. But there's so many of these type of players like I wouldn't go crazy in terms of fat. Okay. Dave, how about you? How do you see it? Top three priorities. All running backs all the time. Washington's first for me too. He looks solid. I think he's still going to stay in a split. I don't think it'll be this different between him and Ashton Gentie, but a bare minimum. And we can get into this if you'll let me at him. But think of him as the potential running downs back for the Raiders and then the passing downs back the two minute offense back the Oak crap were down to scores playing from behind running back. Would still be Ashton Gentie, but Washington is going to be the most appealing guy. He's only out there and 36% of CBS leagues. I'm sure that numbers higher in other formats. I've got Algier second. I don't think Jeremiah love is playing this week. Bam Nights in the concussion protocol. It's an absolutely terrible match up against Seattle. But it's a running back who's going to get you north of 15 touches. Algier can catch the ball of the backfield. If you need a guy for one week, I think Algier would be second on my list and then Devon Singletary would be third. Camp Scabu's day to day. We know the Giants are going to use multiple running backs. Tyrone Tracy's on IR. Nasi Harris is on his couch. I think Devon Singletary is going to be the one B running back for the foreseeable future for the G-Men. It's a favorable match up in week 9. As a running back that you can go and just float on your bench, maybe uses a bi-week replacement. Scabu gets hurt. We've already seen that happen. We could see Devon Singletary become a meaningful fantasy running back who's already going to get in the neighborhood of, I don't know, we can call it a third of the snaps to maybe even tap the snaps. That could lead to 10-12 touches just with Scabu even playing for the Giants. Jamie's top three running backs are Mike Washington, Devon Singletary and Tyler Algier. So slightly different order. Dave goes Washington out of your Singletary. I think it depends on just how badly you need a running back in week 9 versus week 9 through 12. But I don't think Scabu is a guarantee to play this week. He was apparently working on it. They said he's day to day and usually when I hear day to day, that means he's going to play. That's what I say. But you could also get BAM night coming through the concussion protocol and Jeremiah love playing. I think there's an easier path to Singletary playing this week based on the fact that they just came off their buy and ends. I think Adam was about to say they practice in a limited capacity on Monday and Scabu was working with trainers. Singletary will have a role anyway and so will Algier obviously but man that I'm sure if I guaranteed you that Jeremiah love BAM night and came Scabu we're all going to be out this week I'm sure you pick Devon Singletary. Yes, that's why he's ahead of Algier from. And you said don't spend a lot on fab. Now for Mike Washington, look I think we talk about Scabu. I know it's a different situation. One guy was Scabu had four fumbles in five games. Genty's just been really bad. But I do wonder if this was just like a Scabu thing for Genty. It's like hey you better start running better and maybe he maybe the split is more even next week. But if it's not like again hypothetically if you told me that Mike Washington was going to have this role every week, I would spend almost all my fab on him. I mean to say he's going to have this role every week, he just had 25 carries for 83 yards. So it's not like he was dominant in this game. He clearly had a huge workload. They also won a game which is not exactly a common occurrence for them. Now they're facing this difficult stretch of games and I would guess based on how game flow will go, Genty will probably end up playing more. Yes. So that's why I think you should be a little bit cautious with how you approach this. Clearly Genty is still their guy. Whether that's going to be their leading rusher, that remains to be seen. So and when I say their guy, I mean I don't think they're just outright benching Genty. I think it's closer to what you said Adam more like a wake up call like you don't need to you know be talking what you said in the saying what you said in the media. About the jets not being able to act on when you're running the way you're running and we need to get better production from our run game to help support everything else so that we're not in these Helter Skeleton come back efforts every week and making her cousins have to win the game. So I think it's just a matter of like be cautious with it. You know in terms of yes, this could be the case for the rest of the season because again they just want a game and you know they feel comfort with it and I'll reference what I've referenced all season from our colleague Grand Carthon who evaluates players as well as anybody. He said that Mike Washington is a better fit for this game that Clint kubiak wants to run not that he's a better player than action Genty he's just a better fit for this offense and that's probably what they're seeing. And if you want to play the the game script game for the Raiders it's not just this week it's the 49ers in week nine Seattle after that Denver after that at Cleveland in week 12 by then I'm sure Mendoza will be starting then a buy. And then the fantasy playoffs and right before it are pretty good chargers Broncos tightens cardinals so there's some there's some games later that Mike Washington could end up being like just a big time factor in if the roles are what we think which is running down Washington. What I think Washington running down Genty passing down so yeah San Francisco is really good against the run and then Seattle is even better against the run and that is those are the next. Two matchups for Mike Washington yeah and you can almost make the argument that you you bypass Washington if you're looking for a by week running back in the next two to three. We don't think he's a by week running back I mean he might be the lead running. That's the thing that's the thing. Yeah I couldn't pass him up but yes single but you're right I mean single Terry and I don't know it's hard to make the case for Algier over single. If you were to Algier to me is is is third because it's not like their long term absences for love and night and now you're going into this difficult stretch of games for him. So if you were to say right now Washington's going to if we got all the information in front of us Washington is a lead running back for the Raiders rest of season in terms of running down. Yeah. Skateboards going to miss one game at minimum and the Cardinals guys are going to miss one game at minimum. I think you got to make a choice between which of the two replacement guys you like better for me it's single Terry by a lot yeah and then do you that how much do you value that versus Washington in this current role comparatively to his schedule. So if I was looking long-term. and you said it at him, or David, one of you said it. In terms of Singletary and what he's done, he's been productive when given chances. He played four games so far this season. And two of them, he scored at least 13 PPR points. That I think is gonna be a role that's not going to change because even when Tracy comes back, Singletary may just lock that spot up. Scataboo is clearly not a guy that they love outright and just, hey, your job is safe. There's also the potential of them training for Jonathan Taylor. So, or Tony Paul or somebody, you know, that they're clearly in the market to address that position, especially now with Tracy being injured and who knows how to injure Scataboo is. So there's a lot of things that play here. I think Washington is just the safest because it feels like his touches are gonna be guaranteed. But again, we can get to the end of this week and you may have to make a choice on if you pick them up. Do I start Singletary against the Eagles? Do I start Tyler out here against the Seahawks or do I start Mike Washington against the 49ers knowing that he's still a lead rusher? And there is one other thing I wanna mention here. If the best solution could be BAM Knight, unfortunately, again, they're playing the Seahawks, which stinks, but in the second quarter, BAM Knight had seven played 16 snaps on offense and Tyler out there played four. And what did we see before this BAM Knight injury when Jeremiah Love was out? BAM Knight was the better running back. He's in the concussion protocol. Sometimes guys clear it and he was, you know, is recently as the second quarter of the Dallas game two, three days ago, two days ago, he was playing ahead of Tyler out here. Not sure how to great game, maybe that changes things, but that's another factor here to-- - And I could be off in this. Have we had almost everybody that's been in the concussion protocol from Sunday, play the following week? 'Cause Ibuka was a tow. - Yeah, I mean, Jamar Chase did. - Right. - It happens. It happens more this year. - So I think this year it's happened almost every time if I'm not mistaken. - Yeah, it's happening a lot more frequently than it has in the past. 'Cause usually it meant like, you're definitely out the next game. - And just to have it out there, Knight, this is just from week seven. BAM Knight had a 53% to 47% snap rate. - Oh, they like him better than Algier. It's pretty cool. - They do, but on top of that, it was nine of 17 on third down. So they were splitting third downs between Knight and Algier. I'm not sure, I could look it up and let you know, when they're down big in the second half, who's on the field between Knight and Algier. And if it's Knight, then sure, you can make the move to get him for-- - Or get him second, actually. 'Cause Algier will be-- - But we say this though, no running back for the Cardinals had a game like Algier just had this season. - Yeah, and they're not playing Dallas again. - No, I get that, but still he clearly showed them something because they've had some not kick matchups like that, but they've had some easier matchups earlier this year. And I guess you could say love had that game against 49ers if you wanna put it up against another one, but like this was just dominant. And their offense line clearly was playing well. I think one other factor out of 'em, you keep mentioning, you can not keep mentioning, but you mentioned Jonah Coleman. Jonah Coleman is, Christian McCaffrey went into his bi-week with a hamstring strain, and K-Lan Blacks only rostered in 68% of leagues. If we're looking past our usual threshold, that's the guy that should be prioritized as well. - Oh yeah, oh yeah. But also there's this Jonathan Taylor stuff, right? A lot of the-- He's been linked to Denver, he's been linked to the Giants, the Vikings. He could screw up all, a lot of our plans here if he goes back. - Packers, yeah. - Packers, oh yeah, Packers. So you got Seth McGowan as another guy that you might wanna prioritize. And I know that McGowan and what's his name? DJ Giddens split a little bit in the fourth quarter, a lot in the fourth quarter, but it seems like McGowan clearly ahead of Giddens. So it seems like anyway. I mean, that was the first game all year that Giddens played. So, and it's great matchup if Taylor gets traded and they get Dallas this week. Of course, trade deadline is until next Tuesday, so it could be another week of this. So running back is, I think the position this week. And a lot of choices to be made here between Washington, the Cardinals guys, Devon Singletary, the Colts guys, and even like Dylan Samson has been productive. Well, we'll get into that a little bit later here, I guess. So is, if we could recap the fab discussion, how much are you putting down for these guys? How badly do I need a running bag? I wouldn't go crazy because there's just so many variables. That's the problem, is right. You know, you could pick up Washington and he stinks because they're playing the 49ers and Jenty's more involved because they're chasing points. You could pick up Singletary and Scataboo's healthy. You could pick up Algera and the other two guys are healthy. You could pick up McGowan and Taylor doesn't get traded. Like, you're gonna end up wasting fab. You could end up buying somebody or paying for somebody that helps you right away because of all the ways we sort of laid out how this can go. So I think that's kind of the reason why I put the top speed the way that I did, just because Washington may be good. He may be terrible. At least you know what the receiver is. You're kind of getting that 11 PPR point floor, which could be a little bit better and safer. And in the case of lemon last week and Williams moving forward, more productive. - I would also add this. We're recording this at, it's literally 9 a.m. Eastern time on Tuesday morning. I would not even sit down with your phone and you know where you're sitting to do this. To make your ad drops until like right before bed tonight. When, if there is any news today, let it all file in. Usually NFL news is in by like 4 p.m. Eastern time. Sometimes it's later than that. But I would say that wait until as late in the day as you can. Like do it before your brush your teeth before you go to bed, you buy that you make your ad drop moves so that way you know if any big moves have been made and you're not out of anything though with these guys. That's the problem. You see, I don't know about these. - You're not going to know any practice reports for the Cardinals or the Giants. You're not going to know anything from what the freighter's going to say because they're not going to talk to anybody today. So you're not going to know anything that I think that's going to dramatically change it. I wish you were right. - Just right before running back, I think we'll know that that's going to happen if it happens today. - If it happens today. - I think the biggest thing though is this is why you do waivers on Wednesdays because then you get the opportunity to see some practice. - Right, you do get a little bit of a taste. Hey, I've got those blow out snaps running back snaps. When they were against the Giants, they lost by two scores in that game. Never mind that game, Bamm Knight didn't play. Sorry, week five, Detroit. They lost by over 20 points. It was Algera 11 snaps to four snaps. This is not touches. These are snaps in the fourth quarter when they were passing. And then it was much closer in week seven against Denver. They lost by two scores. It was actually Bamm Knight with 12 snaps and Tyler Algera with 10 snaps. Again, those are past snaps that those guys had in the game. So it was really close between them. You could make the case that Bamm Knight is equally valuable as Tyler Algera. And he's been the better runner. So maybe we've got a case to be made here of Knight being the ad instead of Algera. Despite the game that Algera just had. - I can't say that though. - Right, that's the reason. - He had to play. - I know, I know. I said you could make the case. - Yeah, you could make the case. - I wouldn't make the case. - Yeah, and I don't think anyone's gonna be going after Bamm Knight. And he's not gonna show up on the projections I'm guessing. So it's a sneaky ad. And if you're trying to tell me, Dave, that I have to wait until like 11 p.m. to go to the bathroom tonight, I think. That's what I took. - I met your favorite easy chair. Everybody's gotta face it. - Whenever someone hands me their phone, I'm like. - Yeah. - That's what. - Hey, listen, I'm not gonna wait that long to do my waiver claims. Because I'm gonna do them before 11 a.m. At 11 a.m. Eastern. We have an AMA on the Bleacher Report app, which is really cool. Okay, we'll be right back with an update on your news, so much news, like Matthew Stafford and Kyler Murray are on the injury, well, they come out of the game with some injuries, concerns, I guess. We will talk about them a little bit later in that Bears Seahawks game, and I feel bad for all UK, the Williams managers, 'cause he played so well, and deserved more fantasy points. But let's get to the news and notes. Lamar Jackson, we know he's gonna be out for a while, possibly the season. Of course, Joe Fagnano heard his knee, and there's a guy named Austin Reed on their roster, but they play Thursday against Jacksonville, right? - He's got about Tyler Huntley. - Well, no, Tyler Huntley's not playing this week. - I know, but he didn't mention it. - I'm about to say, Tyler Huntley has a toe injury. He's gonna miss some time. But, Well, I don't know who's gonna play quarterback for them. It's probably gonna be Fannyano, but-- - Just a colleague or a Saturday. - Yeah, right, you know, the other thing is, not only is running back a bit of a, I don't want to, like it is a headache, but in a good way 'cause we have a lot of options. It's a great headache on the waiver wire, but so is like super flex or two quarterback league quarterbacks, right? We've got, that one's giving me fits in terms of, obviously you want to get Minsu, but how much do you want to spend on him? Look at his schedule coming up. How long is he even gonna be the quarterback? You know, so we've got some options this week that we don't usually have. But I'm not picking up Jo Fannyano. Gardner Minsu is going to start. And Carson Beck is gonna be the number two quarterbacks. She'll be percent the number three quarterback at Seattle, then the Rams, then the Chiefs. The Rams haven't really been that-- This is important. Like, there's no question at Seattle is a tough match up. The Rams, they're a little beat up, maybe they're healthy in two weeks. They haven't been that tough against quarterbacks, but I think when they're healthy, they are going to be tough. And then the Chiefs have just had this super easy schedule. So they're a tough match up on paper, but they haven't really faced-- who's the best quarterback that Chiefs have faced this year? I think they faced like-- Yeah, Bonaix twice. They had Daniel Drelock, had Malik Willis. Yeah, I can't remember. I feel like there's-- Damn Arnold. One quarterback that faced it's like a guy we would start. And it is cousins, and he had a big game against them. So it's-- I don't know. I don't know if Minshew's schedule is as hard as it looks, but it certainly looks hard. Matthew Stafford has arms soreness. Man, we want him to be healthy. His next two games are at Washington and at Arizona. Kyler Murray has hamstring tightness. He's got Buffalo this week. Do we? No, I don't. You're right. And Daniel Jones is going to start for now. He gets-- man, we want him to be someone else. They have Dallas and Miami the next two games. All right, so you're talking about these Cardinals injuries. Do we really-- do we not think there's a chance that Jeremiah loves out long-term, Jamie? What do you think about that? I think you have to think that at this point. I mean, he missed two games prior to week eight, and then re-agravated. I think they said it was a different injury, but still, at this point, it just feels like why would you rush him out there given the current circumstances of what your team is? So if he's healthy, he could play. I mean, again, you could be wasting your fab on both the other guys if he's active, so just take that into account. But I would think just looking at the scope of this Cardinals team, not that they've been the best run franchise. But they would probably be a little bit cautious on Love's Health. And I'm glad you put that up. Yes, James Conner could be activated at some point soon as well, so that could really throw a wrench into all of this. So I think just something to keep in mind here with the Cardinals backfill. OK, and Josh Jacobs has been accused by several other women of abuse. Matt LaFlor, the head coach at the Packer, says he anticipates Jacobs being a member of the team moving forward. Cam Skataba, we mentioned he was seen working off to the side with the trainers. They're at Philadelphia this week. Chris Rodriguez was listed as limited. And Basel Tudon was listed as a DNP, did not practice. They are at Baltimore on Thursday. Remember Matthew Golden didn't practice. He still played, so-- and that was just, it wasn't an actual practice. Any update on McCaffrey? Nothing yet that I've seen. Minor hamstring tightness or soreness or something. Train is what they call it. Train, OK. They're at the Raiders this week. Great, great matchup. Travis H Ann, his status is unclear. They get Cleveland this week. Jonathan Brooks could practice this week. I don't think that means he's going to come back. But Jonathan Brooks could start practicing this week. No update right now on David Montgomery, which probably means that he's-- well, we'll see, we'll see. I saw that he's getting close to a return. OK. I was from Aaron Wilson. They're at the chargers this week. And Breeze Hall is expected to stay with the Jets and play this week at the chiefs. At wide receiver, AJ Brown's status is unclear. DJ Moore said he's fine. But we'll see. They're at Minnesota this week. Jordan Tyson's status is unclear. He might practice this week. Mike Evans is expected to play this week against the Raiders. Brandon IU, Kaird Drew Rosenhaus. He's going to try to get him back in the NFL. He's still on the 49ers. The Niners would have to trade him or cut him if he's reinstated. Michael Pittman hopes to return in week 10 after the buy. Yay. Looks like Atlanta wide receiver Zachariah Branch is not going to play this week. Caleb Douglas, he came back. He looks really good, man. I think I'm 77% on pace in the Lions this week. 72% again. Can't sit here and say, you have to start Caleb Douglas. But he might have a good game. And then we got Kendrick Born out for the season. That sucks. And Michael Wilson playing with injured ribs, broken ribs. You take that into account when you're bidding on Garner Menshu. Yeah. Totally. Tied N. Jake Ferguson's hurt. Hunter Henry's hurt. And Terrence Ferguson could practice this week at Washington at Arizona next to games. One name you left out. Not only Mike Evans expected to return, but Debo Samuel as well. Thank you. And Deshaun Striddling could be back a few weeks. Just got off crutches. The timeline that I think most of the beatwriters are going off of is December. So if you have an IR spot, you want to stash him. Go ahead, but don't put him in a bench spot just yet because you might still have a month until he's ready to go. So by the time you get to the fancy playoff, your team is in good spot. Maybe he's relevant. I just don't think unless it's an IR spot, you want to roster him. And two 90s songs that have the word December in them go. Come on, Dave. A long December. Yep. And December by Colisele. No. Oh, okay. Wake me up when December ends. No. That's September. I. Yeah. I don't think it's the nighties either. All right. We got a lot of injuries, but on defense, but I won't bore you with them. But Jacksonville lost two key starters on their defense in their week eight win. And the Bears lost two defensive line. I don't know the severity of it, two defensive linemen left with injuries last night. You got a couple of secondary injuries for the Cowboys, Caleb Downs and Joey Porter, Junior. All right. Whatever. Let's get to the great. Grady Jarrett was one of the guys. The Bears lost. Yeah. He's a starting defensive tackle. I mean, luckily, they now have an even better, but I mean, I think the idea was to put a Grady Jarrett with Jeffrey Simmons and let those two, you know, recap. They don't need the most wasteful play last night. Yeah. Sure. Oh, dude. Simmons was such a huge difference maker for that team. He really was a force multiplier. Yeah. It was so many guys. Do you know the severity of the Grady Jarrett injury? No, I do not at the at the moment now. All right. And then also, I think importantly, Detroit Safety Brian Branch, Eddress or DJ Wantham. They left with concussions. DJ read their cornerback left with a hip injury. And of course, Jack Campbell. Thankfully, getting good news with that neck injury in the hospital, he's in stable condition. But I mean, that's four starters that left with injuries for the one of the worst defenses in football. And it makes the dolphins very interesting as streamers this week. So Jamie, Segweiler, who are your top three corner, a quarterbacks for a week nine? Yeah. Malik Willis and Bonix are at the top. Willis is the one I would go get first because not only do they get the lines this week, the upcoming schedule is actually very favorable. He's now scored at least 18 fantasy points in three games in a row. You could say it was a fluky interception that took off two points from me through the ball off one of the Patriots defender's helmets, it bounced twice and then was picked off. So not the best throw, but obviously Willis is doing a good job. I'd love to see him get back to using his legs because he didn't do it last week. But hopefully he does that because the two previous games he had combined for a hundred yards rushing and two touchdowns. After you get past those two, I would actually take a chance on JJ McCarthy. Did not have a good fantasy game against Texas, but we know that that's a tough matchup. But he played really well. 20-28 passing, 252 yards, only one rushing yard. So I like to see him use the legs a little bit more. But upcoming schedule, Philadelphia, Washington, Jacksonville, Indianapolis, and so there's reasons to buy into both Willis and McCarthy and for Nix. They have their buy after this week's game against Carolina, which is favorable. After his buy, Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, Miami, the Jets, Las Vegas again and Buffalo. So aside from the Pittsburgh game, that schedule is also very favorable. And he has over 22 fantasy points each of his last two games. So these three guys might have some long-term appeal for you. But at least for week nine, the matchups I think are something that you could buy into. The one thing that I would be concerned about with Nix is just that the Broncos run all over the Panthers like everybody else does. Yeah. I would keep the radar up for these quarterbacks. If you've got Caleb Williams, he's got a buy in week 10. Week 11, who's on buy in week 11, that would be any good. Jordan Love, Matthew Stafford, some guy named Drake May. Oh, that's a bad one. Yeah. So if you just heard your starting quarterbacks name, now's a good time to go and pick up one of these QBs. Look at their matchups in your quarterbacks by week and pick up the one you like the best. I'm sorry, Jamie. I was looking at a funny comment in the chat. Did you mention that every quarterback to face the Lions has scored at least 21 fantasy points? I don't believe the stats on the Lions defense, but it's I think pretty obvious this point they're bad. And they just lost a bunch of guys, as you said, Adam. Yeah. Okay. So Malik Willis, 40% roster. Would you start Malik Willis or Kirk Cousins this week against at San Francisco? Right now I have Cousins ahead just because he's played so well. But that's close. And in four points for passing touchdowns at Go-Willis. Yeah. And the comment I watched I was laughing at was nothing lasts forever. ♪ In the cold December rain ♪ Very good. Alright, runny backs. Dave, I don't know that we need to, I mean, you had, you had Washington, we debated Washington and either Algier Singletary or Singletary Algier zone of a night in there. And you want to show some love for Dylan Samson or anybody else? Samson headlines, the Desperados list. I think it would be wrong for us to not talk about Seth McGowan again. Of course, now he's rostered in 56% of CBS leagues. So I'm guessing it's the 10 team leagues where no one picked him up, but he figures to be the lead running back for Indy. And they're sorry ass offense. If slash win and it's probably more win than if Jonathan Taylor gets traded at this point. I, yeah, sure, Samson is like 10 PPR points. He's done that each of the last two weeks. He's their passing downs back and Cleveland's probably going to be passing quite a bit. And he would be my favorite. I would also keep an eye out for Chris Rodriguez, Kendra Miller. If you're desperate for running back helping week nine, those are the running backs that you'll turn to. If you can't get one of the running backs, we already talked about to fill in a spot on your team in week nine. I would also add Kamani Vidal and we can talk about him when we get to the deep leagues. But I think he's the chargers running back to own. I just wouldn't prioritize it because who wants to hone a chargers running back. Yeah, name is 70 song with the word Desperado in it. Desperado. Yeah. Good job. I'm good at this game. Could you argue that Seth McGowan should be the number one running back to get? No. Yes, you can. Why? Because it's just a rest of season thing. Yeah. If the only concern would be is if they trade Taylor to Minnesota, there's a very realistic chance that one of those running backs, most likely Jordan Mason is coming back into the deal. If they trade into the Giants, there's a realistic chance that maybe single Terry's coming back into the deal. If they trade him to the Packers, I doubt somebody's coming back into the deal, but it could a Marshal Lloyd or Pierre Strong. I don't think the Coles were saying, "Oh, hey, we're okay with Seth McGowan and DJ Giddens." Unless, of course, they're just okay with Seth McGowan and DJ Giddens because they want to tank and help the Jets in their draft pick. Yeah, right. I don't have their pick. Yeah, no, but they want to evaluate them. That's why they would do it is they want to see what they've got with the players that they have who know the offense and won't take much for insert veteran running backs name here to get the offense. I don't know how desperate the Colts would be to get a running back back in the deal. They'd probably just rather have an extra pick than a player that's going to take up cap space. Well, yeah, I mean, look, it's a running back who we don't really know how good or bad he is at the NFL level. It was going to share. It's not like McGowan's going to get. I was going to share. Bad offense line. Bad offense. Yeah, right. They don't have Quentin Nelson. I think, well, also to be fair, aside from maybe Washington and his current role, single Terry is not going to be the starter long-term unless Skataboo is just really hurt beyond what we know. Algiers are not going to be the starter beyond what the Cardinals running back in injuries are beyond what we know. So McGowan could be the starter for the Colts. I think all of these guys are at best flex options. Maybe, maybe, maybe, that there's borderline starters depending on the matchup. So McGowan, this week against the Cowboys, yeah, you'd be excited about that to some degree, but they stink. So it's not like this is going to be, hey, you're just going to beat up on Dallas. That being said, the Cardinals just beat up on Dallas. You know what, though, I think that one of the tougher decisions to make is who do we see long-term appeal for? Because you might have to drop a handcuff that you love. How do you decide between Caleb Black and these guys, or Emmett Johnson, and these guys, where I think if Kenneth Walker were to miss time, we'd want Emmett Johnson ahead of all of them. Yeah. Depends on your record. Yeah. If you're desperate for, you know, help this week and, you know, maybe he's Jalen Moore and on a buy, Tyler Tony powered on a buy, and you're hovering around 500 and you just need to win, then you might have to drop Emmett Johnson to pick up Devon Singletary if he's starting for the Giants. Okay. All right. So those are the running back to look at. Wide receivers, Jamie, who are the top three? Yeah. The rookies are at the top for me. You have the two in Antonio Williams and Makai Lemon. I wouldn't be surprised if Lemon's better this week just because of his role. But Williams, I thought played well for getting seven targets in the Monday night game. And hopefully that's just a sign of things to come. There's just more long-term appeal with him because Terry McCormick is out for the rest of the season. So just don't overlook Traylon Burke's. He's got at least 11 PPR points in the last two weeks, and he's their deep threat. And so that's I think where he's going to benefit a little bit because he can do some of the things that McCormick was doing. Not that Williams can't, but I think they trust him a little bit more in that role. And then the next guy for me, the third option would be Jordan Tyson. So I'm sorry, I changed it. The next guy for me would be Ryan Flanoi. You have George Pickens, according to Stephen Jones, Jerry Sunn, saying that he's dealing with hamstring, injury, hamstring tightened up on a little bit. That's why his playing time was limited. Last week, whether that's true or not remains to be seen, but obviously he's got hamstring and shoulder problems that he's battling through. And Flanoi's just been consistent. 11 PPR points are more in four straight games. So he's somebody to keep an eye on. If you're looking long-term, obviously Jordan Tyson. So at some point, he's going to play, seems like he's going to close her. Whether you want to stash him, if you don't have an iris spot, I think he's probably roster in the most things that have iris spots at this point. Yes, once he plays, they're still top five and pass the times for the season. There's going to be a lot to like about Jordan Tyson's role. If he's healthy. And so this is a guy that could be a significant league winner down stretch. Where did you come out on Adonai Mitchell, Jayme? It's just so tough because he clearly played well. And I think we're going to have one of these messy receiving cores where you kind of know what Garrett Wilson's going to give you from a target perspective and a target share. And then it's which of the other two guys, if you want to throw on the tight ends as a collective and maybe the running backs of the collectives, just say running back tight end group, they'll clearly be involved here. I think they're going to throw the ball a lot just because of the Jets defense and how this team will operate most weeks. The thing is, is it going to be a Cooper week or a Mitchell week? So I would just view Mitchell as a boom bus number three wide receiver. Now he has only played four games this year. One of them was coming back from the finger injury. One of them was week one. But in week two and last week, over 12 PPR points in both of those. So maybe he just want to say when he's been comfortable, he's been good. There's plenty of upside, but there's I think a pretty bad floor as we could see if Cooper gets going and Wilson's doing his thing then he could be left out. That's why I didn't have him at the top of my list for wide receivers. But I, there are some stats that are just going to make your eyes pop. For example, his target per out run rate is 25.7%. That's 15th best among qualifying wide receivers. Geno loves him. We know that Omar Cooper had those two monster games. One of them, Adani was not playing the other one. Like you said, Adani was coming back from his finger injury. He played about half the steps. Or his route rate was like 54% something like that. I think Geno really likes Mitchell. And I'm not sure how popular he'll be off the waiver. Yeah, he just had this big game. And usually guys that pop off for a big game get a lot of attention. And I think you're right to not have him at the top of the list. But if he's not popular, I don't mind making him my third or fourth waiver claim if I need wide receiver depth. Because I think he could end up being a factor most weeks with the game script going the way of Geno's arm, just given the way the Jets team is built right now. Okay. So a lot of wide receivers. And would you tell a lot there's more than just these guys. Would you drop Omar Cooper Jr. for any of these guys? No, I think there's too much upside. I don't want to. But if I need a starter or if I need a flex, I love Omar Cooper. He didn't. He looked good last week too. He just didn't get any targets. For Williams, for Lemon, for Flanoi. Yeah, I would drop him for those guys just to get a starter in this week that I can trust. You know, I got to get a break in here. Let's get a break. And then we'll do tight ends, DSTs. I think you guys know how this show works at this point. Kickers. Epeaks. And more when we come back. Hey, I'm Tony DeCouple, anchor of the CBS evening news on my new daily podcast, great question with Tony DeCouple. We go deeper on the one big question you haven't heard answered or maybe haven't even heard asked follow and listen wherever you get your podcasts. Okay, let's get to the tight ends. Interesting list this week. Dave, who's your favorite? Who are your three favorite tight ends? I don't necessarily love any of these guys. I just love O'Conquo at the top of my list, but it's like strictly as like a bi-week replacement tight end. He's out there in two thirds of leagues. Higbee would be second. Eli Raradon would be third. I'm open to an argument on literally any other tight end because none of these guys have appeal more than like possibly 10 PPR points. Okay, wait, so you said O'Conquo Hig-O'Conquo Higbee Raradon. Eli Raradon. Wow. Who's the rookie tight end for New England? Henry's on the shop. You might. I don't know if everybody listening does. It was the Higbee thing that really jumps out because he's been garbage, right? I mean, and Jamie, well, we bargained in play last week. Okay, that's, no, I'm open to it. I don't think the list is necessarily great for any. I don't think there is a slam dunk tight end that you could. Now, maybe Jamie's got somebody with that. If anyone, Jamie, is it dulcich? Dulcich by a lot. Yeah, I mean, taking out his lines defense, he's played very well the last two weeks. And so what we've seen is, unless your name is Darren Waller, every tight end is done well against this, this line's defense. They've allowed 13.3 PPR points or more in every game this season. And then we just went through the list of players that they might be missing, including their middle linebacker and maybe their best safety. So Dulcich, it's 8.3 PPR points or more in in back-to-back games. So he's playing well, coming into this matchup, and now you get this dream scenario here. Micah Sekki at some point, we have to just acknowledge that he's a part of this Bengals offense, and when he gets more than two targets, he's been very good. So it's just a matter of can he get those opportunities, but he's got to touch down in five games in a row. And so he's clearly their third best pass catcher, and they're struggling to run the ball. At some point, they're just gonna lean into, hey, let's throw to score, run to win, and understand that Joe Burroughs has legit MVP candidate right now. And this is their best way to go about approaching their offense, as opposed to just waiting to, hey, we're gonna try to run, try to run, try to run. Oh, bleep, we're down, and now we gotta throw, throw, throw. Just start the game like that. But, Sekki, I think it's worth a look, especially taking on this Falcons defense this week. And then Chico Conco, like Dave said, I don't think Adam, you brought this up also on fantasy football to express. Like, he had a couple of opportunities in the game, Sunday night, and hopefully he just continues to get more of those, the two previous games, prior to their bi-week, he was playing better. So, hopefully that's something that you can hang your hat on because McCormack's out. So, I think he's the high upside play. But, yeah, Dave mentioned Rareden, he's somebody that you should take a look at just because of Henry's injury. I know he didn't do much against the Dolphins after Henry left, but clearly they've relied on their tight ends, and the receiving core is very much in flux. So, the Packers have actually done a good job against tight ends, I'm not mistaken. - Great job. - Yeah, so that's just the, I think the reason you might have a little bit of pause in saying that he should be somebody to prioritize. And actually, if I'm going after a Rams tight end, I'm going after Ferguson at this point. I want nothing to do with Higby. I want nothing to do with Davis Allen. I want nothing to do with Parkinson. The fact that Sean McVeigh said the window's open, and he could return, I'll just take a chance on that. There's so many other tight ends I think that are just playing better than Higby. I wouldn't want to bother with it. - Yeah, Ferguson's back. There's no way you can like Higby for sure. But one of the reasons why I did is because the commanders have been giving up a ton of PPR points to tight ends. And it's a way to pretty heavily by week five. But otherwise, like 15.5 to tight ends last week, 17.9 in week six, they're giving up some numbers there. If Ferguson's back, though, there's no way you can feel good about Higby. - And I think with O'Connor, he has the matchup of death this week. The Rams are definitely seventh best against tight ends, but I think they've faced McBride and they've faced Bowers. They are really, really good against tight ends. So O'Connor, I think if you picked him up for a long-term play, it's still might be there. I don't think I'm going to trust him this week. I'll throw Michael Mayer's hat in the ring. - Yes. - You know, look, obviously with any tight end, whether it's with except for like the big two, with any tight end, look what I, what do I say to likely did a couple of weeks ago, right? Like you can get these terrible games. So I'm not saying that's not in the profile for Mayer, but the 49ers, that metric that I kind of look at, completion percentage allowed on past attempts of zero to seven yards, they're actually terrible there. They have the six worst completion percentage. They look like good on paper against tight ends, but again, who have they played? McBride had a nice game. O'Connor had 69 yards. Kyle Pits caught a touchdown. I don't really know that this is a tough matchup for Mayer. So I think it's like most, well, no, it's not like, I don't think last week was such a great tight end week on the waiver wire this week. There seemed like there's some comparable. - I think last week was excellent. 'Cause you had Hunter Henry, you had T.J. Hockinson. - Okay. - O'Connor was on the list then. - Those guys, Henry and Hockinson were like in the 60s, like close to 60% roster. You got guys like Mayer, those are just 15% rostered. O'Connor 35, Mayer 21. So maybe just. - They're much riskier. I think you had an easier path to success for the guys last week as Dave was talking about. - Yeah, yeah. All right. But you still have Hockinson on the waiver wire in a lot of leagues, by the way. So he's only 69% rostered. If Hockinson were available, would he be number one for you? - Yes. - All right. Well, that's a look at the skill positions. And now we got to talk about DSDs. And this is going to warm my heart here. And now it's time for coverage you can count on. Sponsored by Nationwide. And just like your fantasy roster is more than just your offensive starters. Nationwide is a great insurance company and one of America's largest financial services companies. So don't forget about the defensive side of the ball. And remember, Nationwide is on your side. Jamie, go Big Blue. - Go Big Blue, baby. Giants. I mean, this is an opportunity for them coming off their buy week against what has been a very inept offense. Now you could get the Sequan Barclay revenge game and he goes out and has a great performance and that changes things. But when they get stuck, when they're behind, their second halves have been absolutely miserable. They just cannot score. And I think the Giants have an opportunity to be a very good streaming DSD this week. You also have the Chiefs against the Jets. Like you said, they haven't played great quarterbacks. I think this falls in line with another one. With Geno Smith. And then the Niners, I know it's not an easy matchup against the way that Kirk Cousins has played. But we just saw what a stud defensive tackle could do for a defense. And now the 49ers are getting to Forrest Buckner put in the middle of their defense on top of maybe getting Nick Bolster back. Could be a little bit of a rough game for Cousins in that passing attack. We know what happens if they get behind. We could see a couple turnover. So those would be the top three to go get this week. But the Giants are definitely the headliner. Yeah, I mean, the Giants are a terrible DSD. So it was so were the commanders, though, on the commanders. Yeah, but the Eagles offense is pretty bad. No, it has to be said, they are not a good DSD. But the commanders are also really bad. And the commanders had a great game against the Eagles. The Panthers are a bad DSD. And they had a solid game against Tanner McKee. So all right, that's a coverage you can count on. Sponsored by Nationwide, Nationwide is so much more than a great insurance company. They're one of America's largest financial companies, too. Take your game to the next level with Nationwide. For your insurance and financial needs, Nationwide is on your side. Nationwide investment services corporation. Member Finra, Columbus, Ohio. Who are the kickers, James? We got Matt Gay, taking on the 49ers. They give up a lot of fantasy points to opposing kickers. Dominic Svada, taking on the Eagles. They also give up a lot of fantasy points to opposing kickers. So hopefully he'll make them. And then Nick Folk, taking on the bangles. Another team that gives up a lot of fantasy points to opposing kickers. But Gay and Folk have quietly had some solid seasons. I know that the Falcons offense was clearly terrible against Tampa Bay. The weather had a huge part in that. They'll play better in Spain. And I think Svada will have an opportunity to kick well. Hopefully, the weather will hold up in Philadelphia. All right. And yeah, we don't usually do IDPs, but I said it last week on the Sunday morning show. I wish I had said it on this show. But Giants linebacker Micah McFadden. Two weeks ago, he said it. Two weeks ago. Giants linebacker Micah McFadden, he's only 14% roster. He was awesome. I picked him up in a couple of leagues. He has great. I picked up CJ Allen in our dynasty IDP league. And he's available in 87% of CBS leagues. This is the rookie linebacker for Indy, got a chance to play last week, 10 total tackles on a sack. Awesome. A bright spot for the Colts. Jamie, who are the shallow league guys that we must get? I mean, if they're available, don't even hesitate. Go get them. Yeah. I mean, clearly, if you want to put Jonah Coleman in that group for other sites, he should be the number one added player by far. Kirk Cousins at quarterback is clearly somebody that you should invest in. I know, again, the schedule not easy coming up, but he's just playing at such a high level. I think he's only a two games under 20 fancy points to season. So hopefully that keeps up despite the tough matchups. And then you could also take a look at Sam Darnell. I know he didn't have a monster game last night, but clearly his upcoming schedule is much easier starting with who they have this week, the Cardinals. Cardinals, then he gets Las Vegas, so the next two weeks should be good for him. So like his his his upcoming schedule. I wouldn't put Kyler Murray in there just because of the injury. So I sent you this and I'm sorry to say I sent you this, you know, just updating it throughout the the the night that if he doesn't play, why would you rob your roster in the running backs? Aside from Jonah Coleman, Jardarian Price, look, we'll see how this split goes moving forward. Both guys basically played close to evenly, which are a manual Wilson is is droppable. Calvin Camaro, if there is no if there is no Travis H and he's been the better fantasy running back, not that he said more work than Kendra Miller, but he's been more productive with at least 13.2 PPR points and three of the four games that Travis H and has missed. Clearly, Clion Black should be a priority for you just with the opportunity of Christian McCaffrey potentially missing time at why receiver in this range. There are some very good guys. You have Debo Samuel, who's expected to play Keenan Allen, who scored 13 and more PPR points in three of his five games. Demario Douglas has been very good in three of his last four games with AJ Brown now banged up. I would still look at Casey Concepcion and Caleb Douglas. I didn't know they didn't have great games this past week, but Douglas gets the Lions and still has six targets. Concepcion just throughout last week and hopefully gets back to the least the six target range and can be productive like we saw two weeks ago. And then the sneaky one here is Josh Downs. I don't want to buy in Tim because he's going to touch down, I want to stash him because of the potential trade. So that's just somebody that you want to keep an eye on there. And then a tight end, you already mentioned to TJ Hawkinson, is still available in a bunch of leagues. His roster percentage on our site is 69%. And if anybody gave up on Brenton Strange, 82% rostered, I know he had a bad game last week, but all the Jaguars pass catchers had a bad game because Trevor Larson didn't throw very much the target leader in that game was Jacobi Myers with three. So the fact that Brenton Strange had two, 11 guys got targets in this game for the Jaguars. I think it'll be a little bit more condensed as they move forward. So if you look at that list, the player is the whole, the whole Shabang. Is there anyone in that Jonah Coleman territory that if you saw them, I cannot believe this person, this player is not rostered. I must have him on my team of the guys that we just mentioned that are in the Jonah Coleman range. The only one I think that you could say would be Jonah Coleman Ranges would be as you find out today that McCaffrey is going to miss the game, then it's Caleb Black. But you can clearly make a case that cousins is a must-start guy, that Hawkinson is a must-start guy, that Debo and maybe Keenan Allen are must-start guys just based on how they're going. they performed, I wouldn't call them that, but you can go. - Debo's been good, I mean. - Debo's been very good, but, you know, with Evans back and Kittle healthy, and I don't want to overvalue him, but yes, three of his first four games, he was over 15 PPR points. So there's a lot to like there. So yes, there are players in that category, but I mean, Jonah Coleman's got top 10 upside this week against the Panthers. - This is a freaking joke, Dave. No, these cats are available in Marleyg. Give me the deep leakers. - At quarterback, JJ McCarthy's the headliners out there in 76% of leagues, great schedule, starting this week with Philadelphia. That's a lot at least 25 fantasy points to three of the past four quarterbacks that they've taken on. And then it's a long list of QBs who might get some opportunities all the way through to some who definitely will. Like Gardner Minshue, Sartre for Arizona, available in 99% of leagues. That's more for the two QB crowd, but Tanner McKee, Fernando Mendoza, they're out there in over 80% of leagues. There's Fannyano, and then there's also the guys that could eventually take over. Kyler Murray has an issue right now with his body. What if he doesn't play? Could Carson Wentz be a sneaky stash? Carson Beck in Arizona will eventually get a chance, 'cause I mean, the carnal season, we know how that's gonna go. Anthony Richardson might get a chance. He got a chance late last week. Coltor's sticking with Daniel Jones for at least one more week. Maybe there's something there for Anthony Richardson. And then Joe Milton and Philadelphia, if McKee continues to falter, you could see Joe Milton. All those guys, by the way, everybody I'd just named after Mendoza, available in at least 96% of CBS leagues. Take that for what you will, two QB leaguers. Devon Singletary, 84% of leagues is available. So I'd say that that's a deeply guy that you can go ahead and probably make the priority. All things considered, other deeply running backs would include Eccler, Keaton Mitchell, Cory Keiner. How about DJ Giddens? If John and the Taylor is traded, we've been talking a lot about Seth McGowan, but DJ Giddens would probably get some opportunities to play alongside him. A wide receiver, Eddie Mitchell, would be the first name on the list for me. I would also go and take a look and see if Traylon Berks is out there. Jamie mentioned him earlier. Good production lately. I kind of like this film. Big guy does have some speed to him, is definitely going to play along the perimeter for Washington downfield threat type guy, but also someone who could work in the intermediate range. And if the commanders have a lot of games where they can't run the ball or they're chasing points, he will get his fair share of targets too. Not cool, it's excuse me, Patriots wide receivers. Efton Chisholm is probably going to be my favorite of the group that's out there now 'cause DiMario Douglas is already way too rostered, but Chisholm's out there in 90 plus percent Kyle Williams out there in 90 plus percent. We just don't know when AJ Brown or Romeo Dobbs will be back for the Patriots. I think it's going to be a little while for Dobbs to come back. Tydens, Raridan is probably the one that's just the most available. Dolsich obviously would make the cut too because he's available in the 84% of leagues. And then do we want to make a play for Aronde Gatson? I say no, I know you had 10 PPR points last week, but David Nejoku might be practicing again real soon and could take over a lot of that tight end work that Gatson was getting. - Okay, yeah. And Terence Ferguson, 19% rostered another guy. You could look at Greg Dolsich, 15% rostered. I think he's not-- - And the Giants DST Adam. - Yeah. And this guy's not exactly deep leagues. He's close, 28% rostered Tyj Spears. The same reason you'd be picking up Seth McGowan. Tony Pollard's name has been, at least in the media, floated as a potential trade target. It doesn't mean it's going to happen, but Tyj Spears going into his buy. No, I don't think anyone's adding him. - You can add him on Saturday if you want or the minute that Pollard gets traded. - Yeah, it's risky though, but. - Yeah, he's risky. Chicago 34, Seattle 17. Just domination here. I mean, great game by the Chicago Bears. So, again, Caleb Williams played really well and goes down the field and scores a touchdown on the first play. It looked like he was going to have a big day. His first drive pardon me. And then the Andre Swift got three touchdowns. So, do you guys view Caleb Williams as a must-start quarterback? Just, okay, we're not going to go through every matchup, but just generally speaking. Do you view, how many bears do you view as must-start players, Jamie? - Bird and now, Swift for sure. And Lovelin has certainly performed well enough. You know, you don't like the fumble, but everything else was solid for him. So, it's now three straight games, with Williams, three straight games of quality production. I think just when you see Caleb Williams, he's just playing on schedule right now, and it's just so much fun to watch. I know he's fun when he's doing things off schedule because of some of the things that he does as an athlete, but he just throws such a pretty ball. And they were, in a lot of ways, the same route was just open over and over and over again, whether it was Bernd or Doonsay. And then you saw Lovelin just taking advantage of some of the adjustments that the Seahawks made. It's just a really fun offense. And then when they get created with some of the plays that they do, and just how good Ben Johnson is, like, yeah. It's great. So, I think Caleb Williams, to your point, adds your question to Adam. I don't think he's just a sedent and forget it guy, because this week's not going to be easy against Tampa. But they're playing really well against quarterbacks also. But when you start to compare him to let's say cousins or what Malik Willow's can do this week, or some of the up and down performances that we've seen like Matthew Stafford, I think he's right in that conversation. So, low end starter is safe for him. At some point, especially when the schedule lightens up, he'll have these huge games. And we've seen two of them already this season. I think he just kind of understand, they're not going to give him a lot of chances in the red zone because of how good the run game is and how good Swift is at finding the answer. - Is there any concern about the Andre Swift? I figure at some point Kyle Menon guy is going to play, unless this is really just a bad injury and ends up, I don't know, being, we've got to put him on eye. - Hey, one more game before their buy week. So, you know, this week we'll be telling if he does play. And then you just have to sort of wait it out to see what happens after their buy. But as you're starting to look at it, if you're the bear, it's like, you want to have Menon guy healthy, probably for the playoffs. And so don't risk it if he's not 100%. - Yeah, the Swift's averaging 3.8 yards per carry. We knew he figured he'd struggle last night and he got the touchdowns. But I don't know, he's not having a great year. And Menon guy's been like awesome when he's played. - I'm not, I'm not trading him away unless I'm getting a good price for Andre Swift. - I think that's a little underselling it that he's not having a great year. I think he's having phenomenal year. - Does that make great fantasy year? - No, but I mean, you hear every broadcast how much they love Swift. And he's just, a lot of times when you have these yards per carry scenarios, when you're getting that much work, you know, he got stuff, but a bunch of times just because of how the Seahawks defense is great. - Yeah, I mean, look, I excuse it in this game. I think it was 4.1 yards per carry going into the game, which is very low for him. And he does have now 10 touchdowns, 10 rushing touchdowns, which is already a career high. He's been an unbelievable value. I think when Menon guy comes back, though, is it gonna be, you know, that 55, 45 split? Easily, could be. - If you're trying to sell him, you should be aiming for a disgruntled Bijan Robinson manager and package Swift and something to get Bijan. Like, that's the type of trade you're making. - I love it. I'm gonna try that. - Okay. - Do luck. - And yeah. - Yeah. - Well, I mean, Swift has been better. - Sure, but I still, I don't know who's gonna, I don't know who you trick for somebody like that. - But it's not straight up. - You don't have to. - No, no, no, no, I understand. - If the Bijan manager has receiver issues and you're loaded there, like you can try and package Swift and let's say, Luther Burton for Bijan Robinson. - Do you want to, or need to, hang on to both Jardarian price and Zach Charbonet? - You should, I would. I mean, this was, this is a really good big defense as we're gonna find out, you know? So first game back for both of them, they both had a couple of good runs, you know, it wasn't exactly great. I was encouraged a little bit by Charbonet's role in the passing game, just given the fact that they were trying to get him involved. So if you're, if you can't cut them, I mean, they're gonna play a cardinals right now, you know? So they should have an opportunity to take advantage of it. I did like the fact that it was, hey, you are our guys. These are our guys. - Yeah. - It wasn't, we're gonna work Emmanuel Wilson, and I know Halani got a couple of touches, but like, it's very clear, Emmanuel Wilson did his job, and now the two guys are back, and this is what we're gonna get. Are you gonna get a must-start running back out of this? Probably not, but it could be a tandem that you get two flexes, or maybe a borderline starter, if we start to get some touchdown opportunities, they just didn't have anything against the Bears. I was still leading Charbonet over price, but they're both high in flexes this week. - I'm with you on that. Halani and Charbonet basically split the Charbonet role, and I would imagine that that just tilts even more in favor of Charbonet moving forward. Emmanuel Wilson only played on special teams. So I think you said it earlier, Jamie, like that's somebody that you could drop. I think that prices the track back, Charbonet will eventually be just in that short-yardage goal line plus passing down's role that he was in last year. He's the one I like the best to. - And I said, on the box score that, if Jardarian price was active, I was going to drop Emmanuel Wilson to pick up Drew Locke in a Super Flex league, and I forgot to do it. Drew Locke has an elbow injury, and he was the third string quarterback in this game, but I think Sam Donnell played like absolute crap. And he had a touchdown late in the game that came after he threw an interception in the end zone. That was called-- - That was kind of lethal. - Yeah, but that penalty did not affect the throw. It was a stupid throw. This, that would have been two interceptions again for Sam Donnellt. He is extremely careless with the ball. He has what, nine interceptions or something. This season, it's ridiculous. - I think what was the most-- - There were four. - So I'm on red alert here with Sam Donnellt. - I think what was the most telling was that they were down 10 with four minutes left and they were running, like-- - And they were getting booed. - And they were-- - And I also say, that they didn't have their left tackle last night in his defense, so that's a problem. I actually think from a fantasy perspective, you don't wanna drop Sam Darnold, 'cause he had a good game, and he, you know, a good fantasy game, he pretty much always comes through in good matchups. And Arizona Las Vegas the next two weeks, he's probably gonna be solid, but he is not playing well right now, he's throwing. - The other part of this is, as we know, the trade deadline, they've done him no favors. JSN is amazing. How they won the Super Bowl last year with this receiving core? He did nothing for them. Cooper Cup got hot in the playoff, so you can sort of bank on that, but he's 33 years old, this point, 32, 33. Torrey Horton is, I think, an okay fourth receiver. He should in no way be the second receiver. Like, this receiving core sucks. They illustrated it half time. JSN had 92 yards at the half, and they had 94 yards passing. Like, it's just a joke. So, like, this would be, and look, they're just aggressive to go get Quentin Nelson, like, add somebody, go call the Colts again, and say, "What is it gonna take for Josh Downs?" You know, something. It's just, it's embarrassing. - All right, the drop-o meter, zero to 10. Omar Cooper Jr. - Zero. - One. - Trey Tucker. - Zero. - Denzel Boston. - Two. - Three. - Jeremy Bernard. - Zero. - Three. - You could convince me on Bernard. - Right, going into his buy, Roman Wilson will be back eventually. - Hitman, I know no one wants to care about Pittman, but he's not nobody. He's coming back next week. - I would be more concerned just that they're running the ball so well more so than the other guy. - That's true. - Um, Amarian Hampton. - One. - 50 billion. - Oh, wow. Maybe it should be higher than one. I don't, I can't start him. So. - I would drop him for all the guys that we talked about on the way. - Xavier Worthy. - Yeah, yeah, I'm rescinding my one. - 50 billion. - Yeah, you can't feel good about Worthy. - Bryce Yong. - I would drop him from Elique Wells. I would drop him from Bonaix. I would drop him for Jay-Jay McCarthy. - I'll say five. - All right, to the waiver wire, just to recap some stuff here. Sam Darnell, Kirk Cousins, Kyle Murray. They're the three shallowly guys that Jay-Jay McCarthy. Well, but he's not out. So if he plays, he-- - I have a feeling, feeling, feeling that we're going to get the, hey, Jay-Jay McCarthy, you have an ankle injury. You're sitting for a month. - Maybe. - Yeah, they did do that to him. - They all throw a little Carson Wentz a bit on the Superflex situation then. Yeah, if Darnell, if you have Darnell and Cousins, do you make the move to Willis or Nick or McCarthy? - Darnell to Cousins? - Yeah. - Darnell, yeah. Cousins are Willis and Nick's over Darnell, but they're close. I still think you just trust Cousins, like you said Adam. He came through against Kansas City. I think they're going to be throwing a lot. I know Dave kind of joked about, you know, is it going to be his job or how long is it going to be his job? I don't think we're seeing Mendoza until they're by week. Like, I don't know if you throw him into the schedule that they're about to face with the way Cousins has played. And the games that they've lost, I don't think are Cousins fault. - Do you think they trade Kirk Cousins? - That'd be great. If I'm in a soda, that's the first call I'd be making. - Right. - Oh, that'd be so fun. - And Baltimore's probably already made that call. - All right, you got some options here. I mean, we could have a lot of fun reunions here. You could have Wentz to Philadelphia, which would be fun. You could have either Daniel Jones or Kirk Cousins to Minnesota, which would be fun. Jones didn't exactly play there, but he was there. - He was there. - You could have Joe Flacco to the Ravens. Not that the Bengals would do that, but you could have Joe Flacco to the Ravens. Like, we could have a lot of like, "Hey, here's these reunions." And let's see what it looks like. - All right, so Gardiner Menshu is a superflex candidate. - If you are also, I'm sorry, I should mention this just because of the Declan Doyle tie-in. There was some discussion from some of the Ravens guys that they would go get Tyson Bajan from the Bears. - I think Michael Penex was horrible against the Buccaneers, but I think when we see these games where he has to throw a lot, which certainly could happen against the Bengals, Penex could be okay this week. Menshu and Wentz. - You got to throw out that game last week, but-- - Yeah, I do. I completely throw it out. And then I would even ask-- - He's had a game like that every year, though. - Any bounces back from it. - I mean, what about Baker Mayfield? Baker Mayfield's facing a team that's given up, I think 21 or more points to four straight quarterbacks with the Chicago Bears. - Yeah, maybe he'll throw the ball at 12 times. - Gino Smith, any interest there? No. - Yeah. I think I'd rather have Willis Nex McCarthy some order. - For this week. - For this week. - You know in bad matchups and I think this is a bad matchup. - Yeah. - And Cam Ward, you know, Cam Ward had a great game. And I think the two players that, for whatever my Twitter algorithm seems to want me to see, is that people are raving about the tape of Cam Ward and Antonio Williams from Week 8. I haven't seen Cam Ward tape, but apparently he was terrific. - Williams was good, I saw it. - Yeah, Williams was good. - Cam Ward algorithm is from your hurricane. - No, it's not. It's not. I got plenty of that though. - Your basketball team's pretty good, by the way. - Yeah, they're gonna be good. - Yeah. - That's not what you were saying during the game yesterday. - No, I mean, I was pissed off, but. - I was nervous. - Gators are great. - All right, running back. - You owe me a charm city next time here. - No, you know I'm fine with it. Fine, I'm happy to do it. Happy to do it. I'm gonna have a pretty big beard at that point. All right, so running back. - Oh no, you got saved this week, buddy. - I need another zero this week. - So if he gets, what's, what's it at right now? - I don't know. Let's take a look. - Take a look, wait. Is there anything else you guys wanna say about running back? 'Cause I think we've more or less covered it. Please just listen to the beginning of the show. - All right, same. - It's a very evolving position this week because of injuries and scenarios and potential traits. - What if you don't need a running back? Who are you targeting, if anyone? - Williams and lemon. - Oh my gosh. - What's wrong? - According to fftoday.com, which is not affiliated with us at all. Zayflowers is wide receiver nine per game at 17.5. Devante Smith is wide receiver 10 per game at 17.3. - You know what, you know what your best path to success is, right? Is Devante doesn't play anymore? - Zayflowers was one more game this week and then they're both out for the season. - I would make it just such a downer of a bet. - Oh my gosh, what a race to the bottom. - The fact that they're both top 10 receivers, I think is pretty cool. - Yeah, look, it's moving pieces at the run. - Nice that they play it every week. - And you know what, one more guy I want to talk about is Kendri Miller and the Browns have one of the worst run defenses in football. They are, however, allowing the fewest receiving yards per game to running backs. Keep that in mind for Camara. I don't know what this split is going to look like coming out of the buy with Camara maybe being healthier. - That's more or if Travis Hends coming back. - Well that's a separate issue. I think it's just if you're looking at it from the no Hends one more week, who is the best New Orleans running back? I would think it's Camara because he's been the more productive guy, he's actually done well in the passing game. I don't want to trust Kendri Miller to be honest with you. - I don't really want to trust either one. - Yeah, all right. And then at wide receiver, your dream scenario, everyone is available. Keenan Allen facing Dallas this week. Demario Douglas, Concepcion, Josh Downes, Jacobi Myers, Caleb Douglas, and Antonio Williams and McKay lemon and Jordan Tyson and DeBaville and Ranflenoid, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Who do you take, Jamie? - Debo. - Debo. - Debo Keenan. - Debo Keenan and then Antonio Williams. - I go Debo Keenan. - Douglass maybe. - If it's just one week, I like lemon better than Williams. - Okay. - Yeah. Oh, man, I don't know, it's tough to trust Caleb Douglas, but I like what I'm seeing. I think that interception that Willis through was gonna, I think it was gonna be a big play to Douglas, like a 20 yard or something. But look, it's tough to trust, I get it. All right, lemon, lemon with two straight games of eight or nine targets and double digit PPR fantasy points. The Giants have not, Dan brought this up yesterday. Giants have not allowed 200 passing yards yet in a game. It's kind of crazy. - They won't do it again this week. - I don't know if you remember, I was gonna pick up Ryan Flenoy last week and I was like, yeah, it's great on Sunday morning. I wish I had, but. - He's mind well. Solid number three receiver. - He's not getting a lot of targets, that's a problem. - No, he has not had a target share. Ryan Flenoy has not had a target share above 16.7% since week three. And now they wanna run the ball a lot, so. - But just keep in mind, Jake Ferguson's potentially out. - Yeah. - And George Pickens is an 100%. - Well, Pickens is a totally different scenario. Pickens is out then Flenoy to the course, but if, if, if Ferguson's out, they just helped us cause a little bit more. - Yeah, by the way, Titan Premium Leagues, Breven Span Ford. Already had been kind of eating into Jake Ferguson's targets, but only Titan Premium Leagues. At Titan, you're gonna have Brenton Strange, TJ Hawkinson, or Greg Dolcich, or Gassicki, or whoever, who you going with? - Hawkins. - Okay. And then Dolcich. - But Dolcich will be next. - Dolcich has five to seven targets in three of his last four games. And four Titans have had five to six targets against the Lions, three of them have caught a touchdown. That's Jeremy Rucker, Tucker Kraft, and TJ Hawkinson. So if he gets five or six targets, he should be solid. And then, you know, Gassicki, Gassicki's another guy who has a low target share. share. So he has four games this season with at least three targets and he scored 12 or more PPR points in all of them. That's amazing. It's so crazy. You know what else? Amazing stuff on Gassicki. He is their slot receiver. He as he leads all tight ends with an 81% slot rate that's incredibly high. And he also leads all tight ends in A dot, which I don't love, but he's basically a slot receiver. Do you have his route rate from this past week? It was a, it was a season high, snow, Eric, all 73.6% of the routes. No, Eric, that's interesting. Yeah. Okay. Got more plenty of time. And Atlanta has been pretty bad against tight ends two of the last three games. The grant that it was Colson, Lovelin and George Kiddell. So I don't know if I can really go off that. There is, there's Chico Conco, but not necessarily this week. Michael Mayer, Johan Johnson, maybe if Jordan Tyson doesn't play a his target share has been horrible lately. Terrence Ferguson, Eli Raritan, Giants DST. I mean, with the browns, give up rushing touchdowns the tight ends. So it's good. Huh? Who scored last week? Prior me. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Eli Raritan as the deeply guy, the Giants DST, the Chiefs DST, the Niners DST, also take a look at the Texans DST, I think. I mean, they've been absolutely horrible. I forget who they play this week. I'm sorry. Chargers. They were dropped. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Fire them up. Fire up the Texans DST and kickers are Matt Gaid, Dominic Zavada and Nick Fulk. I don't know if I can get on board with Dominic Zavada. He's just been too bad. But I'm just looking at all the kickers against the Eagles as you won't fight you on it. Okay. Texans DST is only 75% rostered. Would they be your number one priority? Yes. Number one priority among the DST's. Yes. Overall, definitely not. I mean, they might win you a week. They have been absolutely brutal. But you know, they haven't really, they've only faced too tough, too easy matchups and they were great against the Colts and great against the Titans. Are the Giants an easy matchup? I don't know. Maybe they should have been. They were terrible against the Giants. But in those matchups, the Colts and the Titans, they've been great. So they get the Chargers and the Browns and the Colts. Oh my gosh. This might be one of my top priorities. Yeah. Chargers, Browns, Colts, if this 75% rostered Texans DST is available. Thanks. Listen, you know for sure, Justin Herbert is going to throw at least one, if not two, just the stupidest interceptions you've ever seen. Yeah. And thank you for the end of season real. We'll be hilarious on him. Go ahead. Sorry. An hour and 12 minutes into the show that we just have. So thank you all. All right. Well, we'll talk to you in an hour on Bleacher Report.
