Week 9 Waiver Wire: Must-Add Players and Season-Long Stashes

The episode focuses on fantasy football strategy entering week nine, with detailed analysis of running back options. Tyler Algier, Mike Washington, and Seth McGowan are discussed as key players—Algier for reliability, Washington for immediate trust in the Raiders’ offense, and McGowan as a long-term value pick if Jonathan Taylor is traded. The team emphasizes situational decision-making, noting that all three backs could be valuable in a single week, creating a "Goldilocks" scenario. Trivia segments highlight historical facts, such as the NFL moving the goalpost back to the front of the end zone in 1974, and a humorous Guinness World Records story where they tried to charge Mississippi State $35,000 for a cowbell record. Other segments include fun questions about celebrity songs, football history, and breakfast habits, adding a lighthearted tone. The show also evaluates wide receiver depth, favoring Antonio Williams and Traylon Berks, while suggesting stash options like Brian Thomas, Keenan Allen, and Darnell Washington based on injury risks and defensive matchups. Overall, the episode blends strategic analysis with engaging, memorable trivia to help fans make informed decisions while keeping the tone entertaining and accessible.

My name is Deity. I'm Jordan. I get a great cool back here. We're going over all the players. You must add, after week eight, entering week nine, we're going to go position by position. We're going to go over the top players at that position. We're going to pick them. And then if we have the same players, then we're going to trivia type breakers. It's not that complicated. Email us at ringer fantasy football gmail.com for trivia questions, fantasy courts, stupid court, whatever you got, send us emails. And if you're wondering what stupid court is, it sounds like what it is. Yeah, it is what it is. So starting out running back, a lot of interesting options between a couple random guys that popped off last week, and then also the trade deadline, DK, who is your number one running back to add entering week nine. Well, the question first is, are we going to include Tyler Algier from the Cardinals who on Yahoo, he rostered about 52% and then in ESPN's 46%. So there are a little, he's a little above the threshold, but I think we should include him. I think a way to go about discussing running back today is actually there's three clear kind of like next week ads. And then I think there's some clear stash ads, and it's actually pretty interesting because we had three guys this week who had more work than they've ever had all season, right? Tyler Algier massive game number one running back on the week, Kenneth Gainwell had 25 carries, he hasn't had more than five of the rest of the season. And then Mike Washington also had like 25 carries. And actually, he had two. So DK, out of the three of those, who do you, which one do you believe the most? I think Algier would be the safe play. And then I like Mike Washington's second most because I think there is a chance this is just a real switch. You don't care about the box. The team that doesn't throw the ball. You don't want the right. I don't think we're going to see very many games like the one we saw the other day where the quarterback throws it zero times. So that's, or complete zero pass. Sure. How did you throw three holes? Yeah, you're right. My bad, my bad. I just don't think that's something that we can really count on. I do think there's a chance Mike Washington is just now the lead back or the early down back certainly for the Raiders and then Genties more of like a past catching type complimentary piece. The rest of the year. And then Algier, Jeremiah love is hurt. And they might not bring him back immediately. So Algier, to me, you know, he's a veteran. He's done it before. We've seen him perform. He's a good running back. So those would be my two guys. And then I think, I think after that, I would be interested. There's a couple of other guys too that I'm interested in just adding and holding on the roster. And we should say, Bam Knight, the other running back for Arizona was concussed. So, you know, he might not play next week and beyond, but not sure. But I, I, I waffled a little bit. I agree with you that it's between Algier and Mike Washington, but there's something about Mike Washington, where I'm like, man, he seems to have earned the trust of Kubiak. And he's a rookie and he looks good. And this is an offense. I trust more than Arizona's, which I just benched to code for a set. And I'm like, I guess I don't know exactly. Even, you know, Algier was hurt. He had like a toe injury that he kind of played through. So I don't know how much I want to read into the genty thing. But part of me is like, I think Mike Washington is going to be a significant part of the offense moving forward. I think I trust Vegas's offense a little more. But maybe like next week, specifically, I don't know if you just go with Algier. Hi, if it's what do you think? I think if there's weeks we do this where it's just absolute, the doldrums and disgusting. If some reason, Tyler, Algier and Mike Washington are available, I would actually try to add both. And you probably would go Algier and then Mike Washington, but the one, the one variable here that you have to keep in mind is the Cardinals play at Seattle next week. They play Seattle. They put a ram and they put a chiefs. Sure. Why am I love? I just don't think he's going to play. I just really, he's always hurt. They're going to limit how many touches he gets in a given game anyway. He's not the passing down back. So if Gardner, I guess Gardner, man, she's probably going to actually check down less than Jacobi. If he said, if that stays, but overall, I just, he's going to play. And that's really what it's about. Who's going to play going forward? That's really what this, I think that's an important week for way. He's probably going to start. Like Algier will probably start next week. We can't say that for either of the other two guys. He's going to play a lot. Mike Washington might play a lot. If Gentie, you know, he, Gentie also a shadow bench for comments that the pretending he wasn't, but also maybe Mike Washington gets go line or really down work going forward or Gentie gets re-injured. Kenneth Gennie was, I mean, that was, he also had a career, right? Tyler Roger, the best game of his career, or at least by rushing yards and Kenny Gennie will did too. But I agree that Kenny Gennie will last in that pecking order. And the other person I would throw in here is Seth McGowan, the running back for the Colts, where it's like, it's off until it gets traded. Seth McGowan was the only other running back that even got to carry this season until like, they were down 40 points last week. No other running back had gotten a carry for the Colts and Seth McGowan. I think he's a three down back for Indianapolis when if Jonathan Taylor gets traded, which I think will happen. So I think it's just who's going to play going forward? And I think the obvious tiebreaker to me of who will play better next week, who should I add is, well, who's going to have more value the rest of the year? So. Yeah. I agree about McGowan. McGowan? McGowan? McGowan? Seventh round. Rookie. This is like some, was it Chris Carson? Who was the C.O.C. Seventh round? He's like 25, so he's one of those like really, really old rookies that's like a little more competent. One to five. I think that looks like a veteran. Four colleges? Yeah. Yeah. He's probably, yeah, he's 25. Okay, but let's say this. Let's just say right now, Jonathan Taylor's traded. And McGowan is now the lead guy. Is he immediately first on this list? Or no, because you're getting the running back on the Colts. That's my worry. Yeah. I think, see, I could argue, yes, because I think he's played well. Yeah, the Colts with no quit Nelson tanking is bad. But I'm like, I don't think Seth McGowan has to worry much about DJ Gettin's like at some point. Like, I mean, we talked about Oli Gordon and the Dolphins and we're like, well, that team will be bad. So. And then I don't know at some point, like dominating a backfield even if it's bad, like being a fan. I know. There's like, it's like the Oli Gordon thing where we were like, I don't know. And now Oli Gordon's like a serviceable fantasy player. I just can't tell if like, would I rather 10 to 15 touches in the Raiders offense from Mike Washington in game or rather like 18 touches in the Colts offense? Well, the truth is, you probably don't have to pick. And I think that's the good news. If Tyler Algier is available, it's probably a shallow week. And if he's rostered, then it's probably Mike Washington is probably the next guy is available. And if Mike Washington's gone, I bet Seth McGowan's available. So I think it's actually a really neat Goldilocks. I think it's the rare week, though, where all three of those guys are actually going to be like really useful down the stretch. Yeah. Yeah. So I think that's the answer is we could go Tyler Algier for the sake of showdown time. So I think we're aware that he's probably not available in your league, in which case, it's probably Mike Washington. But then I actually think Seth McGowan, rest of the season, if Jonathan Taylor is traded, is the more useful guy, but we don't know if he's going to get traded. You'd rather have, so let's say JT's gone. You'd rather have, you'd rather have McGowan over over Mike Washington. Rest of season. I would, I would. I don't know if you guys, because the Raiders are going to be a better offense than the Colts. But I don't think Ash and JT's going anywhere. DK. Yeah. I think I agree with that. I don't. There's just more care. Not guaranteed, but stronger possibility of volume going forward. Yeah. Okay. So you want to show it on time for Algier? Yeah. Let's do it. Okay. It's not a bad week for any back. I mean, all these guys, like Kenneth Gainville being the fourth guy you could add this week. I know Algier is probably rostered, but you could do worse. There are more bleak weeks in this one. Yeah. Okay. All right. That means it is time for the Tyler Algier showdown time. It would be really fun if you could see into the future like in week one, and you could see what all of the showdown time players will be, just to kind of get depressed. It's like week nine, they did Tyler Algier week four, they did Kyle Pits, you're like, oh. So this trivia question is from our former colleague, Roger Sherman. Oh. Roger. Yeah. The goat. So our bone. We asked for stuff about Guinness World Records. Roger Tex would be an incredible one. Of course. Yeah. He's got these like in a holster. Roger should write like a like a wacky book of just fun. Fun Roger facts. Yeah. Roger facts would be great. So Roger Tex and he said, so Guinness World Records used to make money by selling the Guinness World Records book, which I assume, Craig, you remember, like that was like staple of like the library and like elementary school. Yeah. Now that you say that, yes. It's a good like coffee table book. Yeah. That's how they used to make money. But then people stopped buying the books. So now Guinness World Records business model mainly involves charging people to get the record certified. Oh. And especially they charge you if it's a business trying to do a big promotional event around setting a record. And you want to have a Guinness World Record person on hand to certify the event. So this is how they make money out. So earlier this year Mississippi State played Missouri football. And Mississippi State set the world record for the most cowboys. reing simultaneously, which they had in 2015, but were concerned that an amateur professional hockey team had surpassed them. Oh, Mississippi State had said it and then I wanted to reset it in 2015. Okay. And they wanted to reaffirm that, no, we, we, we own the most cowbells. We are the cowbells. Yeah, you desperately want to have that. Yeah. So they decided, however, that Guinness was charging them too much. Basically that Guinness was like price-catching them on how much to charge them for the world record of cowbells. And Guinness had this complicated conditions and how they're going to count all the clanging cowbells. It's a whole thing. So instead they were like, screw it. We use the, they use the different world record certification company. They went off brand of the world record. Okay. And they got the record. So Roger's question is. This is the Budweiser book of world record record, right? Yeah. So Roger's question is, per the student newspaper at Mississippi State, how much money did Guinness world records try to charge Mississippi State for the cowbell record for the energy decaders? So how much did they charge Mississippi State? What was through you will go elsewhere? Yeah. What was Guinness, what is Guinness's price to, for like, all right, you want to how cowbell will record? So wait, do they like, is it variable charging? Like, are they charging different prices for different records? Or is it just a flat rate? I think they look at how complicated it will be. I think there's a flat rate for the licensing fee to use their name. And then on top of that, they're like, how complicated? If we have to fly to Hawaii. Well, they have on the writer for the circuit is book of world record. Yeah, no brown M&Ms. And they're like, okay, well, if we have to count like 40,000 people reading cowbells, we might need a lot of adjudicators. So sure, sure. I don't want to place on some remote location that we have to travel to. Okay. So yeah, what was also I'm sure like Guinness is like, all this has a fuck ton of money. What do we, let's, let's really gouge on Mississippi State. Oh, I'm sorry. Mississippi State. Yeah. Wow. Man. Okay. I have a number in mind. I guess. What would, what would Guinness world records try to charge Mississippi State? Three, two, one, 20,000 dollars, 20 grand, would you say 50k? 50k. Okay. Well, I also said 50 grand. So I will let you decide if you want to go higher or lower. I'll go higher, I guess. So I said 50 grand. Craig, you said 20. They tried to charge him 35,000. Damn it. Oh my God. So we tied. Oh my God. We did. Yeah. We should go into a tiebreaker. So I'm dead. Wow. They did. What should we have to now guess how many cowbells there were? I know that answer. Oh, okay. I could get, I have a separate question if you want to do a tiebreaker. I have like, sure. It's completely different and unrelated. But so it was they they'd try to charge 35k and then how many cowbells were there? Hi, if it's 41,819. But who knows? Because it's the off brand record company. So you can't trust them. How much did the off brand company charge? Good question. I don't know. Should have done that. Do you actually want to do a different question, Craig? Well, we're going to have to figure this out somehow. Okay, fine. Okay. Wow. Okay. Well, the showdown, do we have a sound drop for this? Do we do the gong again? No, I don't know. How about your mega showdown? How about your sudden death mega showdown? The way me's no way me's no way me's. Oh, wait, let me pull up. Okay. You need like a deeper gong. Yeah, pitch it down. Oh, wait, let me get this. Okay. This is from Josh. All right, Josh. J-boat. Breakfast was a bowl of Bob's Red Mill oatmeal with blueberries. He had a pinch of brown sugar and a glass of homemade cold brew. Oh, wow. Wow. Going all out. Pinch of brown sugar. It's great. I like that we're sneaking in the brands there. Josh says, I have worked as a sports and news photographer for the last 16 years. He says, Danny Kelly, although I took the point photo of Jake Browning at Washington. Oh, hell yeah. That's a good one. He's like scoring a touchdown. He's like pointing at the guy that was like trying to tackle him or whatever. What a claim to fame. That's amazing. So we were talking about all these photographers on the sidelines of all these games and these people. All right. But also making fun of them because they're like, well, if you have the lens, then why don't you know you can't see it coming. So anyway, Josh was like it says it's wildly on the sidelines and it can be incredibly dangerous. And while you were focusing on something happening 50 yards out of away out of nowhere, you can just get leveled by a cornerback or a receiver way off on the play. I was at a University of Washington game in Zach Moss at Utah running back leveled me near the point. Oh, wow. And not the guy you want to get leveled by. Oh, he's huge. And made a cement a gash in my chin that required seven stitches. And I had to photograph the rest of the game bandaged bandaged up like a World War I soldier with the wrap around my head and the bandage on my chin Patrick were homes once took home. I almost took my head off with a throwaway that dented the metal lens hood that protects the glass of my hair. So as trivia question is, there's this camera. The 400 millimeter 2.8 lens is considered the gold-stated lens for football. It's the big white ones that you always see all the photographers with that white lens. He says the lens I own is the original Canon 400 2.8. How much does it weigh? How heavy is those big-ass cameras they got on the sidelines? Oh, fuck. He just, oh, see, he says the answers and grams. God, no, we'll have to, we have cram. We got converted. That's insane. So are you going to guess in pounds? We have to. I'm not guessing the weight of a camera in grams. Well, it's the lens, not the camera, correct? Right. Fuck, good call. Just the lens. Did hyphids already guess? No? Yes? No. Okay. All right. I'm not guessing. So you guys can go ahead. All right. Three, two, one, 20 pounds. 14 pounds. Okay. What did you say? 20? I said 20. I assume it's worth. It sounds like he's basically saying you try to run away with this heavy ass camera. It feels like the five. Yeah. The weight in gray. No, I do with the speeds. 5,370. Oh, it's not that heavy. 5,370 pounds. That's 11.8 pounds. Hey, all right. It's job, Craig. All right. So you get out with Tyler. Who gives a fuck? Tyler, I was you're welcome to squad. Not even after all that. Who gives a fuck? Game ball. Uh, I get to choose between Washington. You're taking a gallon, right? Yeah. It's, so in the regular league, I have both these guys. And like, it's funny. I'm trying to think of how to click. Who would I cut? Yeah. That's a better way to think about it. I it's funny. It's like, I guess I would, man, God, click him like Washington. Did he really get 25 carries versus the Jets? It's a lot. Do you even know what Seth McGowan looks like running the football? I think he's good, but I don't think Seth McGowan is 25 carries on this season. You know, I don't think it's right. I mean, Seth McGowan. You're just going to have to make a decision at some point. I feel like, no, no, just keep, just keep. Just keep on. I go with like Washington. I think that makes the most sense. I think that's right. So do you get, you want McGowan or you want Kenny, Kenny G. I'll take McGowan because of the volume argument. I think there's a couple other guys that we should talk about here. Dylan Samson for the Browns and other player that we mentioned last week. This week, he caught six passes for 62 yards. He is the past catching back. And Quenchon Juckins is the early down back. It's sort of like what the Raiders are doing with Jenty and Washington now. So I think he's worth it. If you really are desperate at the running back position, Tajay Spears for the tight and the same reason we're picking up McGowan. Tony Pollard may be traded. Spears is really not healthy right now. But if he gets back, he's going to be the lead back for them. Kaylen Black, if Christian McCaffrey's leg is still dead, that's something to keep in mind. As Craig said, Kenny Gainwell, like I love Kenny, I think he's a really good runner. He's a good player. Craig loved in last year's like the Steelers MVP. But based on everything else we've seen until this point, it's like the it's the buckier ring show. So I don't really know what to do with him in a normal game where they're throwing the ball like a normal team. Um, Emmett Johnson, Devon Singletari, scattered. We started this week off in the trading room. He's not healthy. We'll see if he can get onto the deal this week. I don't think Scott was going to play this week, just solely because when a player hurts their hamstring in a game, I just feel like they missed two yards. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So I think. So Singletari's a guy to keep in mind here. They're coming off. They're by Osnickler. German McNichols got hurt. Could be a serious injury. It's basically going to be him and Rashad White. I mean, who do the Giants have Tyrone Tracey's on IR? Naji Harris is gone. Scadibus hurt. Is it just Devon Singletari going to get 20 carries? If you could for this week. Yeah. Singletari's probably a really good option. They're playing Philly. Yep. Get a lot of rushing yards. But also he's a real one week guy. Like if you really need the one week thing, I think Devon Singletari's a good flag. I think it's a weird thing to recommend because I don't think he has long-term value in a week. We're actually a weird amount of players do between the trade deadline coming up and the guys available. But I think that that's a really good call from DK about Singletari. And then Emma Johnson. Do I say Emma Johnson? Emma Johnson for the Chiefs, who I think just should be on Roasters in the case Kenneth Walker gets hurt. Well, the other person, this is an in case a lot of those people are rostered. The person, the random player that I don't want to do with his, if Tony Pollard gets traded from the Titans, Tashi Spears in theory would be the running back. But he's been hurt too. So if Tashi Spears is playing, I feel like he's just the starter for the Titans, which isn't thrilling. But again, beggars get bejuicers. If he's out then freaking like, I don't know, Michael Carter could be getting snaps of Tashi Spears. You know what I mean? Tony Pollard gets traded. So I don't know. You never know. (air whooshing) - Wide receivers. - Deke. - This is hard. It's a hard week at Wide Receiver. - No clear. - I don't know if I'm a clear leader. - I think I'm just gonna go with my heart rather than any kind of real order here in San Antonio Williams for the commanders. It's him and Traylon Berks have really shown up. I think for the commanders, Berks has been stacking game after game. He's put together a few good games here. And then Antonio Williams ran the most routes. He's played, he and Berks are the one, two punch in this offense in terms of the receiver position, in terms of snaps, routes. And then they have Stefan Diggs who rotates in on three receiver sets only basically, 'cause I think they're basically load managing him. And so to me, Antonio Williams kind of, he just feels like he's going to end up being, you know, their number one receiver as the year goes on. To me, just listening to the broadcast, talk about him too, I think the commanders really like this guy last night. So yeah, I would say Antonio Williams. But if he's not out there, Traylon Berks is another good option. He's, again, running the most routes and playing the most snaps. He and Antonio Williams are the two guys. - I agree. Antonio Williams and Traylon Berks both played a season high in snaps this week, snap rate. So I don't know, even when you look at Antonio Williams like stat line throughout the year, it looks like that of a rookie wide receiver that is like trending in the right direction and the first half of a rookie season always looks like that. It's like three catches for 40 yards every game and then it starts to swing up. And it's also like, this is kind of the only guy in the list with like a good quarterback throwing to you. And he has like a good situation. I guess you could say 80 Mitchell, which you know, Smith a little bit. - I couldn't agree more. It's like the trend line of Antonio Williams is that of a receiver going to pop. And I think 80 Mitchell, again, top five receiver this week, he can be like, why is it 80 Mitchell the guy again? 80 Mitchell, if you take out last week, I mean, he missed a month of the hand injury. If you take out last week, he's basically averaging like eight targets a game. Like you could argue that 80 Mitchell's the guy, but the trend line is Aaron Glen will probably be fired as the Jets head coach and the vibes on the team are gonna sour and I, you know what I mean? Like I just feel like it might not be something you want to be attached to. - I just feel like you don't quite know who's going to pop in New York. It's like Mason Taylor had two touchdowns last week and then you have Omar Cooper has two big weeks and you just kind of don't know. - Yeah, yeah. But that's my fear with Mitchell, even though I think he's also a good option. And again, I think it's actually underrated sometimes to have a guy that could do with 80. I think the argument for 80 Mitchell's also like, there are actually very few players in the list that can have 140 yards in a touchdown. - Sure, it's true. - Nine targets, like that's just like really hard. But okay, but I'm, I think Antonio Williams makes sense. - That means it is time for the Antonio Williams. Showdown time. - Tony. Tony Williams. - Tony Dubbs. - It's from Tyler. - Tyler. - This was a smoothie yogurt blueberries, oat milk, frozen peaches, small piece of kale. - Oh. - I want people to email in smoothie stuff. I'm gonna try to get my smoothie game over. - Frozen peaches. - The game is smoothies. - Okay. - All right. - I want, yeah, smoothies, protein racks. I want those things. I want, you know what I mean? I might get a blender. I don't really have a blender. - Really? - I used to have a Nutri-Bullet for a long time and when I was in my smoothie phase, I would make a smoothie in my Nutri-Bullet every morning. - I've got the magic. - I am in a, I think Jackie and I are in a period of breakfast renaissance. Like, we need to, we're rethinking breakfast. So I actually would take other people's breakfast recommendations for the, I want to see the smoothie life. Anyway. Tyler's question, heard you talking about the guy ran into the goal post yesterday? And well, Craig, what was your intrusive thought exactly? He was like, why is that there? - That just feels unsafe and I think we could get rid of that. - Probably. - That was Reggie Virgil who slammed into it and immediately got hurt. - So Tyler writes, you know, now that you guys are good, yeah, that's okay. Tyler writes, I'm not gonna lie. Tyler wrote this email in a way that it fucked up my guess. And I'm, I actually really racked me whether I should make it clearer for you guys and just fall on the sword or if you guys should be confused like I was, I don't give you the option. - Okay. Right now. - No. - No, I want to, I want to honor what, I want to be in the same circumstance you were in. - Right. - But then you can get mad at it. It's kind of thrown Tyler into the bus. All right, fuck it. Whatever. Tyler writes, what year did they first move the goalpost from the front of the end zone to the back of the end zone in the NFL? - Hmm, good question. - Good. - I don't, I'm confused about why this is a weird wording, but okay, what year did they move the goalpost from the front of the end zone to the back of the end zone? - Yeah. - Hmm. I think high fits is probably saying that because of like, what was it called before it was the NFL? Is that where you're? - No, it just gave me a year. We'll figure it out. I'm not worried about it. It's fine. Three, two, one. - 1952. - Oh. - 1952, you said 55 DK? - Yeah. - Okay. So I said 1933. - Okay. - Soley because I'm like, I just feel like all the stats that's like the year they went back. That's when they started keeping records, basically. - Right, right. - So the answer is, it's kind of, it's a shocking answer. So I kind of nailed it at first, it's 1927. - Okay. - But they hated it because people started missing the field goals because it was 10 years further. - They hated it. - Yeah. - So they put it back to the front of the end zone in 1933. They moved it back to the front and I did not know this. They kept the field goalpost in the front of the end zone, like at the goal line. From 1933 until 1974. - What? - Which is five word.no. - Wow. - So I'm reading this and I feel like, you know, I'm not an expert in football history, but I feel like I know my share. I had no clue. So I immediately, you have to read this email, pull up the Joe name if like Super Bowl 3, like the guarantee and the goalpost are just on the goal line. - So that's right. - So the first, so the Steelers Super Bowl 75 was the first Super Bowl without it? - Yeah, one of those right around there. They played like seven Super Bowl seasons, with including all pre-super Bowl history, basically with the goalposts on the goal line. Which in retrospect, now that I say it out loud, makes sense. - Goalposts. - They're called goalposts. - Sure. - Which I don't think I have even fucking thought about. That they're on the goal line. - Where did it were like four years ago? - Where did the etymology of moving the goalposts? It's why they come up with that expression. You're moving the goalposts on us. - They literally did. - Is that why it's from the goalposts? - Yeah, they're like, fuck this, put it back. - I guess they always thought it was like a crowd taking them off the field. I never realized they thought about the fact they had to move in the goalposts. - Wow. - So you can see how this confused me. - So was it two goalposts back then though? - Yeah. - Right, it is. - But it's just all the goal one. - Yeah. - So they didn't have the technology back then to make one. - No. - So I'll be honest. I technically won this trivia question. - Well, I actually think I should be at last, because I definitely, it didn't occur to me that they've snapped it. And I just assumed the definition was how long, you know what I mean? Like they've been there the whole time. - What was the answer that was given by J-bone or T-bone or who? - So he says T-bone. - Because he wrote it as when did they first move the goalposts? Tyler's answer was it's 1927. - Well, that is when they first moved it, that's correct. - Yes. I actually kind of think that's BS and I'm kind of, so I. - 'Cause it was only six years of that and then another 35, 40 years of having-- - I think the answer should be 1974. - That's clearly the answer. - That means DK wins, right? - I think it, yes. - All right. - But did you guys, I just knew Canadian was that one? - That seems way more recent than I thought. Yeah. - You had the 70s, that thing was still in the end, in the middle of the end zone? - The dead middle of the end zone. It was so crazy to think about. It really would change the game. - I just always think about what year was that one play that kind of went viral where the guy does like the overhead jump pass thing and it's just like the ugly thing ever. - Yeah. - Like the Temptiva jump passes? - No, not quite. Not as ugly as that. But yeah, there's like, I don't know. There's one famous clip. I think Stephen Ruiz kind of shared it and it like went viral is just like the ugliest pass play I've ever seen. They like did like a little pop pass. Craig knows I'm talking about. - It's like when Derek Henry has to like throw the ball on the one year line, it kind of looks like that. - Yeah. But what are you talking about? - I wanted to know what year that was from. It was probably like from the 40s or something. - Oh, okay. - 50s maybe. But I think you can see the goal post in that play is the, - Okay. - The reason I thought of it. - Oh, gotcha. - So that was where my guess was coming from is the full explanation of why I thought of that play. - I know, you're not describing the play. - It's like a goal line. - It's old-timey shitty football. The guy goes to jump pass. - I know, you just do the jump pass. - I was black in context. - It's okay. - I don't know, it's just something. - I knew what you were saying. - I just shared a bunch. - Yeah. - Okay. - It's like the football version of like the guy dribbling the basketball or you can barely fucking throw up. - Like Bob Canada or something? (laughing) - Yeah, it's just like. - It's like Michael Spocker would have like, yeah, I said these guys, yeah. - Anyway, continue. I took Antonio Williams. - Yeah, Antonio Williams Craig second. - I will take A.D. Mitchell. - I think, honestly, I would take Brian Tom's Jr. who is a very. available in 42% of leagues. And I think that the fact he's been cut in that many means there's actually more. I think sometimes it's 40% can be like leagues that are inactive, have an added a guy. I think Brian Thomas has been cut in a lot of leagues. And I actually kind of do think Brian Thomas will be traded. Like if I, I mean, imagine if he gets traded to the chiefs or something. That's the thing, the Patriots. Yeah, if you look at the Patriots needing like a Keishan Buddha or someone, I'm like, well, I got a better LSU receiver from that team. Yeah. And so, I mean, I had a cup, I had a league where I had a cup Brian Thomas because I wanted to hold on. But I was, I have added him in my high school league. I added Brian Thomas last week just in case. I think that it's a worthy like, I know that doesn't really help you this week. You're not gonna play him or anything. But yeah, if Brian Thomas could, there was like five teams that could, I mean, I don't think San Francisco makes sense. But like, there's just a lot of teams that Brian Thomas could go to where you're like, yeah, I'll pass, yeah. I think he will go to the Patriots. I kind of do think. I just don't think you think, you think that's gonna trade a receiver to the Patriots? That's fair. And maybe he won't. And if he doesn't get traded, you can cut him. And again, I don't even know if the Jaguar should trade Brian Thomas because unless you're getting a third rounder for him, I think ironically, the case on booty things and example, why you should not? Because once AJ Brown gets hurt and you're like, oh, we've dept at this position. We don't need this player for our contender. I'm like, okay, but what if everyone gets hurt? You might want Brian Thomas, but I don't know. I really, they're just not playing him. So I wouldn't be shocked if he gets traded. I think that's a perfect speculative. I'm not as confident he gets traded, but I think it's really worth. Well, it's not like the Jags are swimming in great wide receivers. Parker Washington is great. But then it's like, you have Jacobi Myers, and then it's kind of like, all right, you know, you have a good tight end, you have Travis Hunter, you've Brian Thomas, they probably should just keep him and try to like make him good again. But why, yeah, why so low at this point? I don't know why, exactly. Unless he's a real locker room cance, which doesn't seem like he is. I, I don't, yeah. So anyway, I think he's worth an ad. And if he's of, you know, not, I mean, another other deadline stash is really depressing. Keenan Allen, if he's available, I know he's rostered a lot of leagues, a platform, very different platform about roster ships for Keenan Allen. I kind of also do think Josh Downs gets traded from the Colts. He got, he actually requested a trade. Keenan Allen, if Jones Taylor and Keenan and Josh Downs get traded, and it's just gonna be like Keenan Allen. It's gonna be Daniel Jones, Seth McGowan and Keenan Allen. - My God, yeah, and I mean Tyler Warren had 10 targets for 18 yards or something. I just Keenan Allen, in full PPR, is gonna vacuum up targets. And if those guys, everyone were talking about super rostered, then I'd say Caleb Douglas for the Dolphins was playing the Lions this week if you wanna roll the dice. Also, I would just do Traylon Berks for Washington. Like if you're on those leagues, you're in Tony Williams and rostered since week three. I do think Traylon Berks is just gonna get three Terry McLean shots again. And, you know, Jan Daniels is good at that. So, okay, tie that in DK. Number one tie to end entering this week. - I guess I'm gonna go with my boy, Mike Kasicki, for the bagels. There's some low floor options this week with tie to end, where guys that potentially could have high ceilings, but also very low floors. And I think that's Kasicki in a nutshell. He did play season high snaps this last week. I think in part because Eric All is now on the injured reserve with an ACL tear, so he's getting a little bit more playing time. - The lost Tanner Hudson, too. They're just out of tie to ends. - So, to me, if he keeps playing, the amount he's gonna play or he played in this last week. And again, they're not gonna score 40 plus points every game, but he just seems to score a touchdown every game. He has five straight games with a touchdown. - I didn't realize it till Craig said it, but yeah, Mike Kasicki has a touchdown in six to seven games this year. He's already tied his career high in touchdowns, which I didn't realize till Craig said it yesterday. - He's a trusted target for Joe Burrow. He's obviously third in the pecking order, but you could do worse at tie to end, if you like. You know, he has that. He's the banner for this freaking segment. - 100%. - You could do worse. - He's gonna end the year with 10 touchdowns, and he'll never start a single game for anybody. - I know, I'm so scared to start him most of the time, but-- - He's the Nick Westbrook-A-Kine, where he's the touchdown in every game that will tell you to add him that he won't, then he'll just go back to scoring. - But if he keeps, if he keeps playing 70% of the snaps, I think the scoring will continue. - I would agree. It's probably him. Checker-Conquo, I think it's sitting around there. I think Eli Reredin, the rookie in New England, if Hunter Henry got hurt. And the Patriots, past catching situation is pretty dire. They'll probably make a trade, but Eli Reredin, he's not even those rookie. I think it's probably in the top three for me as well, and then I'd also like to shout out the big man, Darnell Washington, who quietly, double-digit fantasy points three of the last five weeks. You know, he's tied for first in end zone targets in the NFL at tie to end, tied with Tray McBride and Brock Bowers. - That's how I fell in love that. - That's great. - I think Darnell, so the Steelers are on buy this week, but the next week, the teams on buy, you have like coastal levelings on buy next week. So I would week 10, so maybe he could. - And Pittsburgh plays Cincinnati. I just love Darnell. Second, and he is the second most yards after the catch at tie to end this year, and he's 280 pounds. - It's the most fun player with the ball in his hands. - I think he's more than that. - Anything could happen. Yeah, I think it's 311. He said in the amount of $15, like 315 pounds. - The other guy to shout out here is Greg Dolsich for the Dolphins who played the Lions next week. And the Lions defense is not great. - That for one week is probably-- - So do we think it's Gaseki? One or two, you want to do Chig? Gaseki? I kind of like Chig, but. - Chig is good. I'm fine with Chig. I like Gaseki though. - If Chig's two catches counted on Monday night, he's probably first in this today, right? Like, that's how recent he biased the waivers are. - Sure. - I don't know, DK. If you're staring at the table. - I'm fine with Chig, I'm fine with Chig. However, what if he is? One outside of the chargers being like a complete dumpster fire the Texans defense Just not being that good. We'll go down as one of the more inexplicable things that has happened this year Yeah, it has been shocking. I can't believe I'm saying this, but the giant's defense three percent rostered first the Eagles in Tanner McKee I think that's very vital And also the Saints first Cleveland to Sean Watson just the pocket presence like what he's just taking so many sacks um He's just like there are so many examples of him just in shotgun taking his deep drops and he's getting sacked like almost 15 yards behind the line of scrimmage And that like you're they're kind of like hurting tj. Just like your head sticking out for guy It's a desk toilet And you never know what's going on under there. Yeah So he writes I often eat maps of lunches without considering the consequences. Yeah one day in class. I really had to fart And I could tell it was like, you know, it was gonna stink and all the students were at their desks on a project and My desk is like eight feet away from the closest desk. That should be enough That's what he thought famous last words. So no one got up for a few minutes So he's like you just let that a silent fart. I'd blame it on my students Sarah Yeah, just years of trauma So it says the fart smells terrible right after I fart student stands up starts walking over to me and ask a question. No And in the heat of the moment, I made the decision to stand up immediately and run to the student Yeah, with the hope that I'd leave the fart at my desk. Mm-hmm brought it with him. It was too soon and I'm convinced it didn't travel with me So and there's two parts of this but he says first are you can you completely leave a fart behind or do they travel with you? I think a little bit travels with you depending on how quickly. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, that's so the crop-desting element. Yeah, so then he basically says that Teachers blame for it's on students Craig always Yeah, but what do you mean like I have you ever seen a teacher blame a kid for farting? Think you don't acknowledge it. You just blame all the children. You someone Teachers fart by the kids that everyone thinks are smelly And he says teachers will strategically fart near people that other people will blame for a fart. Oh What's that called? What do you call those get away from farting? Yeah, yeah, it's a fart foist to fart foist They foist the fart. It's like stolen. They find the kids like the pig pen of the group and then they just go crop dust pig pen They cropped off pig pen with a foist for probably no pig pen wasn't even stinky exactly. You're framing this kid He was crafted by that teacher in Charlie Brown That's what teachers are doing on the first day class they're learning kids names and they're figuring out who they're gonna fart Who's the pig pen? Yeah, yeah? I thought that was like shocking and but also totally the tracks. Would you guys rather you guys rather every fart? Of yours is it is really loud, but has no smell or every fart is silent but smells That's a good question. I think I would probably do loud, but doesn't smell You can you can mask it with a different sound. No, I think smell, but doesn't laugh doesn't not loud It's actually opposite. We should do a poll. That's an important question. It is important should we do a poll on Spotify make that a poll Okay, gratify it and vote in the poll on Spotify scroll down when you're listening to the episode and there'll be a poll underneath the kind of show art This is big. Yeah, that's a big this is big Because then you can fart on a plane and it's fine, right? But it's loud Yeah, but you could just mask it you mask it like because the problem with the noise is loud though You can kind of get away. Yeah, the what you're like. It's loud in there But a fart's still loud Like I assume these are loud forts Yeah, how loud are we like they're decently loud for it's yeah, yeah, okay decently loud pretty loud Reason reasonably loud and they just like rip and you're like hey, but it doesn't smell like I don't know I think you got to take the smell that means every time you're in class for 18 years of life 22 years of life Every fart in class people here. Yeah, DK is thinking about this is someone who works from home Like DK's not really consider you're in an office every time you fart in the break room. It's loud I think it being loud is worse than it's yeah, it does sound worse actually Socially, it's somehow worse. Yeah, I grew up. Okay Okay, thank you DK. Thank you Craig. Thank you everyone for milling in email vote in the poll and Spotify Loud forts or smelly forts Email stupid courts emails fantasy courts email us trivia questions Thank you when I'm sorry.
