Week 8 Waivers + JT Trade Watch - Fantasy Football Podcast for 10/27
48m 37s
The Fantasy Footballers podcast discusses waiver wire rankings, injury impacts, and team dynamics ahead of Week 8. Jonah Coleman is highlighted as a top waiver pickup due to his increased role and strong performance with the Broncos, despite a struggling offense. Antonio Williams is seen as a breakout candidate in Washington, benefiting from injuries to other wide receivers and a favorable matchup. The hosts also analyze trade rumors involving Jonathan Taylor, particularly a potential trade to the Seahawks or New England, with concerns that such moves could harm the Colts’ long-term stability. Other notable players include tight ends like Chicken Conklin and Hunter Henry, who benefit from weak defensive matchups, especially the Lions’ poor performance against tight ends. The team evaluates drop candidates, with Josh Downs and Jalen Waddle viewed as high-risk, while rookies like Caleb Douglas and McKay Lemon offer upside but face challenges with quarterback play. A major trade rumor involving the Colts trading Quinton Nelson to Seattle for Taylor is dismissed as unlikely and potentially negative. Defensive matchups, especially against the Cowboys and Raiders, are seen as favorable, with special teams playing a key role. The hosts stress the importance of real-time injury updates and roster flexibility, especially in the final stretch, to capitalize on sleeper opportunities and optimize fantasy lineups. The episode concludes with a reminder to join foot.com for premium tools, community insights, and future content.

Today's waiver day, so our waiver waiver wire rankings are available on the website as well.
Cowboys 38, Eagles 21, a little bit closer than the score seemed to show, at least until the fourth quarter hit.
Injuries just cannot be avoided by the Eagles at this point.
They want Barley injured on basically the first play of the game.
Damien Pierce injured it basically the last play of the game.
Take away the missile.
Take away from this.
I mean, when Hollywood Brown has a significant role in your offense at this juncture of the season,
you know that things have gone a little sideways.
No, Don Tavy and Wix.
No.
When Hollywood was out there, I was like, he's playing a football.
Yeah.
And yet he had five too many targets.
Well, I mean, why is it too many compared to the other players that they have available?
No.
I'm a guy limping out there dominating.
The guy limping six.
It was fun to see seven for 67 and a touchdown.
It's fun to see touchdown for sake one on the other side.
Javante went wild.
Yeah.
254, 152.
He's feeling.
And one.
I feel it off of you.
What happened?
I don't know if you know this really.
Javante is not really like a.
Not a one super guy.
155 running back.
It definitely has not been this year.
No.
CDLAM 5 or 74 and 2.
I'm not sure if you know what.
I'm not sure if you know what I'm saying.
I don't know how many weeks he's been I mean he's kind of in the mix behind CD lately.
He definitely is all three of them are getting involved.
What are your feelings on Pickens now seven weeks into this season?
He's the wide receiver too.
I mean it is clear that when they are both on the field there might be a Pickens game here or there.
But this is CD Lam's team.
He is the alpha.
And, you know, he's a good two to have.
- Yeah, that touchdown was on belief.
- It was crazy.
- I saw the, the finger tips have to be strong on them here.
- They, you know, and they,
how they, with their real smart machines,
they figure out what's the probability of that happening?
I believe that was the lowest touchdown probability
catch of the year so far.
- So if you look, I always like doing this.
It's a good time to do it after week seven.
You look at points per game at the White Receiver position.
Top five right now, you know number one.
It's JSN and it's a gap.
But right behind JSN is CDLAM at 18.5.
Pukin'akuah at number three.
I'm on row number four.
Zay flowers at number five right now.
- That's right.
- And he's growing in without-
- He's growing in without-
- He's growing in without-
- You're saying there's a gap there?
- I'm just looking for Pickens.
He's a 28th points per game at 11.3.
He is just behind Jalen Coker and Stefan Diggs.
- Yep.
- Running back points per game, seven weeks into the season,
Gibbs Walker, Bijan Taylor Cook, not a surprise there.
Quarterback points per game, Alan Burrow.
Golf.
- Burrow.
- Purdy, Jaden.
- Okay.
- And then tight ends, usual suspects
at the top, Brock Bowers, Tramick bride,
and then likely, Kittle and Warren,
Warren's missed a couple of games.
So behind him, Laporta, Kelsey,
Gaudert, Gassicki, Concade.
- Lovelins on his way.
- I think so.
- Yeah, he does appear to be ready to live up to the hype
of the draft cap, but it's tough when it's been this long.
- I think you're right, and I believe that.
And I think when I look at tight end, the tight end position, it's like, who do you want
more than Loveland?
Because what you want is a high priority potential number one target on a team.
Bowers and McBride have that, you know, likely doesn't neighbors is going to be the number
one.
I think it's been pretty obvious.
Likely's good though.
And he's top target.
You know, the other guys Laporta, he just disappeared this week because you have Jamison
in a number one, a number one in green back. Tyler Warren should be a number one target.
This was kind of the the thesis of the beginning of the year where the higher upside is still
loveland. Just as an athlete, as the offense, the, the quarterback play all of that, but
I do think it'll be, there'll be plenty of games where he's not the number one target.
When you've got Luther Barton and Roma Dunes, they're there to compete versus Josh Downes
I just don't see and not rather have Caleb I've never seen a I agree a lot. I'd have never seen a war and take over a game
The way I've seen a leveling take over a game Bower's McBride like Warren is completely agreed a bit athletically limited. Yes
Hundred percent. I'm I'm speaking of number one target in the all I agree
I agree that it's just the floor is
Definitely higher with Warren than it is with leveling the ceiling is way higher with leveling and when you're trying to win a
championship. That's all that matters is what's the highest upside and that's
love. We have a show coming up tomorrow that is kind of the second half
sleepers. I don't know if you guys have picked your loved one was in
consideration for me of like the second half this this is the type of player
where you could win you a championship. Yeah, definitely. Let's talk some
news. News and notes from around the
All right, we talked through the injuries in the game, but, you know, it's gonna make what was what even happened to Pierce Undesclosed Mike. Oh,
did you not know that we're not, but it's listed as I'm just closed injury and the the Barclay thing. I mean, you're literally just so you know
And the the Barclay thing.
And the Barclay thing.
I mean you're literally just so you know.
Sayquan Pierce, Bigsby, Shipley, Carson Steel.
Those are the injuries.
Five running back.
And then sayquan twice allegedly.
Barclay hurt his back.
On that first run.
No, no, no, no, no.
So he heard his hamstring on the first run.
Oh, which one was the back?
The back was later.
The back was later.
Yeah, that was not the back.
And then he said because he heard his hamstring he was compensating.
Yes.
And then he heard his back later.
So which is a lot to do on only seven carries.
Well, you I mean he had the team on his back.
So he said don't worry about it though.
Christian McCaffrey mild hamstring strain.
49ers believe he'll be ready following the week eight by one thing to note is if you if you look
at the mapping out of explosive runs in the NFL McCaffrey is near the bottom of that list.
And there has been kind of a we saw the transition happen last year.
Yeah, that time is coming gone.
Yeah, he is not going like if you think he might explode for a bunch of you know big time runs.
That's probably not happening.
No, but the volume is there.
Yes.
And it's not just volume is funny because he's averaging 4.6 yards carry.
If you watch him, it's like every carry is good.
Yeah.
Oh, wow.
He still gets chunk.
He gets like I want to know the rate at which he gets more than five yards in a carry.
It's got to be among the top of the league, but the rate that he gets more than 10.
Oh, no, no, no, no.
Longest run of the year 16 yards for Christian McCaffrey.
Michael Floor said Jeremiah level take part in practice on Wednesday.
Lad Maconkey spotted in a non-contact Jersey talking about the chargers.
I love this spot.
What do we have people with binoculars?
Yeah, hiding in the bushes.
I got eyes on Maconkey.
He's out here.
He's all what what is that's a red jersey. He
Guys, guys, I see a red jersey on him. - Sounds like bird watching. Like I spotted a red conky out there. Dan Campbell said I'm on rod tweaked as ankle. Should be okay. Should be ready to practice on Thursday. I think he was getting ahead of the fact he was gonna sit out of practice. - This is just a dog. - Rashid Shaheed's knee injury, not serious. Jardarian price will have his 21 day window opened. So price could be back in the mix with Wilson and Charbonne and that's pain. So there you go. - We'll take an early break. - What are they doing up there? - 'Cause I wanna get into waivers and talk about it. Yeah, they see Hawks. They have a plan for Charbonne. He may not be back this week. Could get another whole Wilson week if neither the guys are back with-- - Their plan is like, I think this guys are best running back this Wilson guy. Let's hold off one more week. - All right, we'll take a break. We'll be right back. (upbeat music) (rock music) (rock music) - Waver Wire, presented by T-Mobile. (rock music) - All right guys, how you feeling about the waivers for week seven here? - So I think we have-- - Yeah, we got some strong guys at the very top. - Starting with-- - With Jonah Coleman. Well, at Denver Broncos running back, he will be my number one pickup. Our roster percentages we're seeing from sleeper are just over 38%. So he is out there. He is definitely out there and he's taking over. He came back from his window was activated. You're like, oh, I think he's gonna play it. Yeah, he played. All right, and he took everyone's lunch money. He's going to be the primary runner for Denver. - So here's the thing. It will probably most likely continue to be a three way split, right? - Probably most likely. - Yeah, most probability says-- - When you're talking about the Broncos running back, it's hard to speak definitively. - Yeah, it's cool. - But I am, it's Coleman. - Just out of curiosity. - Well, do you know what percentage means? - No. - I define it. - Whether it's out of, what it's out of, like if you give a person-- - There was a clip online, what are we talking about? - What are we talking about? - Not knowing what percent means, that those numbers are out of 100. - Yeah, that was a tough look. - I was just trying to make sure, when we say he's 38% rostered, that's out of 100. - Wait, what is that? - What was the-- - You'll be able to watch it later. - I'm just saying. - Yeah, so people understand, 'cause there might be others out there. - Jonah Coleman, it's tough in fantasy to be part of a three way time share on an offense that looks really miserable. I know they scored 30 points, but that was the Cardinals, not the Broncos. However, Jonah Coleman is definitely their best running back. This was a guy, all of us loved coming out. He was, I know at least Mike and I's, number two running back, a head of Gidarian price, basically behind Jeremiah Love. His production profile had things that were like, it was Jeremiah Love and Jonah Coleman, as the most talented back, he looks the best. The fact that he came back off of an injury, out of IR, and he played 49% of the snaps to RJ Harvey's 26% to JK Dobbins, 23%. 30 snaps to 16 and 14. He was there lead back right off of injury, and then he is also the most talented back. Dobbins hasn't looked good this year. - Yeah. - He really hasn't. - Sean Payton said gotta get a more touches, definitely. - Exactly, as the season goes along, I don't know that you can even start, like this is like the number one waiver wire pickup probably is Jonah Coleman. I don't know that you can start him this week, maybe, but I do believe that the upside here, which is really what you're going after on waivers, is a guy that could be a dominant running back. You know, that's a position that everybody is needing. - Yeah, I mean, I think Coleman's the top of my list this week, and there could be more clarity than we think. I mean, I think you can get to the point where, like Dobbins, it might just be obvious in a week or two that it's just not working. And Coleman can take over, explosive runs, are in the cards for him, a defensive lead team, a team that wants to use-- - The schedule's great. Now, this week against Kansas City is tough, but I mean, the stretch run into the playoffs, you've got Carolina, you've got the Raiders, you've got the Dolphins, the Jets, the Raiders again, Buffalo, which is a great team to run on. Like, there are a lot of juicy matchups ahead for Coleman. - Beyond Coleman, I think you get into, you know, much more platoon committee situations, but Rico Dattle and Rashad White are number two and three on the list for us. I thought, it's wild because Jan the Warren looks so good. And so it's hard to like look at what Warren is doing and give any credit to Dattle, but Dattle to me looks so good. Like, when I watched him this past week in Paris, every touch he had, I mean, I think what stood out to me was the six targets. Nobody throws the ball at her behind the line of scrimmage more than a Roger's. Part of this game plan was getting the ball of their running backs in the passing game. Roger's is mental clock now is step back, one second, check down. I mean, that's just what he's doing with Rico and what he's doing with Warren. So, you know, if you're in a spot start situation, you could do worse than Rico Dattle. And then Rashad White is a story of, you know, opportunity. You know, the fact that Billy's injured. - They didn't give the ball to Ackler almost at all. Like Rashad White's there, dude. - Coming up to that Coleman or, I'm sorry, Ackler could be healthier this week. - Yeah, he wasn't healthy. - The last time we saw them in practice right before the game, they were both kind of in non-contact. They were spotted in non-contact Jersey. - Good news for Rashad White is he is a, he's not an explosive athlete. - That's the good news. - Well, he plays the Eagles. And my understanding is when they play non-explosive running backs, they go off for, you know, 150 plus. - He could be worse than Rashad White. - I think one of my favorite pickups, and I think it's, it could be really, really important for fantasy is Seth McGowan. This is the rookie backup running back for the Indianapolis Colts. This is obviously not a guy that is a play. We're not saying, hey, it's got a great matchup coming up. - Hey, he's gonna eat into Jonathan Taylor. - Right, he's gonna take it over. But Jonathan Taylor, the trade rumors are obviously everywhere right now and it's not just media. Like all the clips of Jonathan Taylor's wife on social media talking about what their family is going through because the trade rumors, it feels like it's going to happen. Now, it might not be. - It might not have gone the other direction. - It feels like. - You've gone the other direction. - I've gone the other direction. - I think it's going. - I don't think he's a tenable acquisition financially for many teams. I just don't, I don't think Seattle is real at all. - I don't either. Minnesota would probably be the primary destination. - Yeah, Minnesota and they just saw him. I mean, they literally just had that game. But again, it is a humongous financial commitment to a running back. You have to feel like you want to make that commitment for more than one year. It's harder for me to see it happening, but I mean, it definitely, I don't disagree that McGowan is somebody that has looked good on the limited touches he had. He got 33% of snaps this past week. He was good on those. I think there's an opportunity there for you to have somebody that next week if a trade happens. So you've got to starter. - It's just one of those things where you've got to get ahead of it. - The deadline is in two weeks. - November 10th, I believe. So. - It's coming quick. - If you, if he gets traded in two weeks and McGowan is out on the waiver wire, you're going to have to spend everything to get the, you know, starting running back for a team for the rest of the season. Get him now, he'll be cheap. - I don't think people are going hard at Seth McGowan on the waiver wire right now. - No, that would be a free ad. And then the one that's blown my mind every week is that Canon Black is not rostered. - I don't, what? - I don't feel like our numbers are right. - I thought that all see. - Maybe 30% is all. Maybe that means all. - Maybe there were only 30 people and he was on all 30. - Maybe 30% of a pizza is all the pizza. - Yeah, Canon Black has gotten enough work. - It slice it up. - In general, like, it's not-- - It was chapter 63 and it touched down. - Now you have a currently banged up Christian McCaffrey. - You might be able to play Canon Black this week against the Raiders. - You might legitimately-- - Not this week. - Yeah, this week-- - This week is the fight. - Sorry, in week nine against the Raiders, there's a chance that he's just a flex play. - There's a chance. - Like a, like a Blake Korum type. - Yeah, yeah, that's a good example. Just somebody that you're going to, McCaffrey isn't the same guy that they're managing his snaps more this year than last year. Now he's got a hamstring, they'll manage him again. They can manage, you can do that when you get production from the guy. You can manage Kyrin's snaps when you get Korum going crazy. You can't manage when the guy sucks, but Black is good. And then other backups to make sure they're rostered, especially when bi-weeks come up. But Emmett Johnson, obviously, Mike Washington, Damien Pierce needs to be talked about if safe ones out and Pierce is fine. - I hate to undisclosed. - Right, they should disclose it. Because it should be a disclosed injury. - Yeah, so you'll, it moved the priority down. I mean, when that game was in probably the second quarter, I was messaging you guys, I'm like, okay, Damien Pierce, we're gonna need to move him up. Like he had skyrocketed. 'Cause if Barclay's gonna miss time. - And the most recent comment four hours ago is that he does not expect the back to keep him out.
the hamstring to keep him out. Yeah, so it, we'll see, you'll just, you know, it depends on the league format, but, but Damien Pierce, and then Elijah Mitchell is the next, next man up, and if he's getting snaps against Washington, then he'll get fantasy points. Yeah, we need, we need to kind of check the news closest to playing, placing claims down in terms of the Pierce injury. Yeah, I don't think you're going to have anything. I think it's going to be back. You're just going to have to guess. Yeah, I mean, I'm, you know, you had a little bit of time here between this show and, and that day, or that moment. Um, what else is going on? Running back wise, that's probably the end of the list. Turning to, did you have another name to mention? No, you get, you put your hand, you went like this. Oh, yeah, you, you, you've got the Giants going into the by week, but Tyrone Tracy, it was funny, because it looked like you got pretty seriously injured. And then after the game, we was walking around like totally fine, but, you know, you can walk with a, uh, hurt hamstring. Just fine, uh, Devon Singletary might be worth picking up, but going into the by week, just, you know, consider it. All right. Um, we've got wide receiver options here. It's rookie season. Yeah, I mean, the top three names on this list are conception on Antonio Williams and Caleb Douglas. And then, the top six McKay lemon and then Jordan Tyson and Jacobi Lane. Yeah, and I have one all of, I, I think all our very good pickups right now. Yeah, I, the opportunities, like conceptions probably rostered. So we're throwing the name out there just in case you had the big week. 10 targets you love to see it. I am, I think Antonio Williams is going to have his breakout game this week. Uh, he's my number two pickup overall, not at wide receiver. Correct. Yeah. Uh, I think that's the case for me as well. I think we have the same top two on our waiver rankings. But I think Antonio Williams is a huge, he has a huge opportunity here. I'm just verifying that. Yeah, he's number two for me. I would rather have him than conception because we talked about Watson and the fact that one guy kind of thrives on a week to week basis and it's unpredictable. And you had the coaching staff was asked about ceramic Lauren being gone. It was more focused on, hey, what, what's going to happen with Stefan digs? Stefan digs feels like a very safe floor play with some ceiling. You know, you can still catch some touchdowns. Uh, but the coach basically said, no, like his role is going to stay the same. It's the other guys like Antonio Williams needs to get step up into this opportunity. So I think that he goes right into being the starter. He could end up, I think easily as the number, as, as the most productive fantasy player for, for the wide receiver crew in Washington, just because of big plays, where Stefan digs is all the PPR stuff. Antonio Williams and, and, and you just said, Jaden's doing a fantasy points. He's, he's, he's playing very well. A lot of it is rushing recently, but we've seen Jaden Daniels be able to get it done when he, when he's actually slinging it and getting loose. Yeah, the, he's a talented player. The fact that they're coming off of the by week is, I think important to me because what we saw the previous three weeks was it made me feel skeptical of an Antonio Williams breakup. Because he had three weeks in a row of complete opportunity to break out. You had one week without Terry McCloran, then you had the next week without Stefan digs. And then you had the next week where Terry McCloran played, like, you know, 10% of snaps. And in those three weeks, he had three receptions each game. But they are going this four week four. And then I think digs was five or maybe it was, he only had three receptions that week, but he had eight targets, eight targets into 21 yards. But that, but you know, no, I, that's what we want. We want to see the peripherals. And it's up, you know, moving forward. I can't, you can't guarantee that a player is actually going to come through and produce. But we were trying to project who's going to be on the field? Who's actually going to get the chances? And I think Antonio Williams is going to get them. Yeah. And that's, that's all fine and Andy. I mean, genuinely, there are six rookie wide receivers that I want to pick up. I'm just saying Antonio Williams, because we've seen three games in a row where he's had the opportunity and has it come through. I just prioritize some of those other guys. It's not an anti Antonio Williams take. Jacobi Lane has looked awesome in his very few moments. And he hasn't had a quarterback yet in Lamar, um, I mean, he's looked awesome on the field. Now, not like he hasn't had a quarterback. Like I'm trying to figure out which of these guys on this entire list fit the mold for what you're saying about like, so Caleb Douglas has, you know, he had the drum beat that was awesome. Uh, all camp long comes out week one looks great. Then gets injured comes back the next time we see him as last week was awesome. Had the, you know, the big like 60, you know, your touchdown down the sideline where he broke free. Makai lemon. We see a breakout game last week or last night, uh, eight targets, seven for 61 in a touchdown. When injuries forced him to be the guy, um, Jordan Tyson coming put your thing. You like the guys more than Antonio Williams? I'm saying I put them at least in the same tier. Um, I don't, I don't, I don't have Antonio Williams in a tier above any of these, these other guys. Him and conception or the only two of that list that can actually really be number ones. For sure. The way I, the way I say, you don't think Caleb Douglas could be a number one for, I mean, he had three targets last week. Yeah, that was 68% of snaps. He just scored twice. I, I, I think that he's a, I'm with you that he's a good pick up. But it feels a little bit like what, what level of offensive performance can these teams reach? Tanner McKee, how and the return of these other receivers, what level can they reach with McKay lemon? What level can Malik Willis reach with the dolphins versus what Jayden can reach with, with the commanders at the quarterback position? That's kind of, I think the way that we're separating it is the peak capability of these guys. McLaren being out for the year is an opportunity that I think, you know, McKay lemon has it right now, but will he have it next week when Wix comes back? Will he have it the week after when Davante Smith comes back? We don't know that. Davante Smith comes back. I think the, all those comments scared me of like them talking about. I think they were overblown. Yeah, they, I hope so. So obviously, if you told me McKay lemon was in this role with no other peripheral guys rest of the season, I'd put them in the same tier at that point. Yeah. But I, he's got a Tanner McKee problem, but look, this is the debate, the discussion. Jordan Tyson, you know, there's just challenges there for me to get to the point where I think he's going to be a startable asset on a weekly basis. Lane needs Lamar to come back. Yeah, which should happen this week. Yeah, it definitely, you know, the matchups are nice for the next couple of weeks. I think it's, I'm on, I'm on Lane watch. Yeah, Lane, Lane overtook Bateman for routes and snaps, which was cool to see because, you know, some of it was early on, okay, Bateman was injured. Maybe Jacobi Lane was forced in there. But remember back to week one, week one, Jacobi Lane was on the field with Lamar in zone targets had a touchdown called back. Jacobi Lane's got vacuum hands. Genuinely, if that balls anywhere near him, it's, it's sucked in. And, uh, Hoover, yeah, Hoover hands. And so I, you know, I just think there's so many really sponsorship opportunity opening up. Shark, dice in, you hear me? Hoover gets it for now because I don't think they're doing any marketing. Um, other names that aren't rookies though. If you need spot starts Jacobi Myers, Jacobi Myers coming off of, uh, what, like 10 targets or something crazy. And then he plays against the Indianapolis. They seem to have really consolidated, uh, Brian Thompson out of the office. See how cool man, they've consolidated him out of the office. He might get traded. That is a wide receiver who absolutely needs to be traded. I think he will, uh, Keon Coleman. If, if, uh, we expect, like I was trying to think about this, DJ Moore. To me, it's like if you didn't expect him back this upcoming week, I don't know how you didn't see short term IR for him. Right. So I, I think that they were really strategic. He missed two games. Then he's got the buy. If he wasn't going to be back this game to me, it's like, why didn't you put him on IR? But if he was to miss another week, Keon Coleman's a spot start. Um, Ryan full of noise seems like you can get him out there. It's Arizona broken plays touchdowns. Those are out there. Um, yeah, they don't do defense. They do not do defense, as they say, um, tight ends. I don't want people to forget about chicken con quo. Uh, yeah, this, yeah. This is part of the, the, the thing is when, when Terry McClure and went down, chick became their number two target for the team. And I, I think he's a great pick up. So chicken concoke, a couple of tough tight end matchups from coming up, but needs to be added, barely rostered, um, higher rostered opportunity plays. Hunter Henry has been pretty good, pretty consistent part of the offense with no, dobs and no, you know, Mac Collins and kind of no AJ Brown. Hawkinson is a great pick up. I think the Detroit Lions. So if, if you, if you haven't been paying attention, the Detroit Lions have been, I don't know, maybe the worst team that's ever played against tight ends in the history of, uh, football that when you look at like fantasy points above and below expectation or, or the average of the opponents, you know, usually if you're really, really bad, you're giving up like three more points. Right. Then their average, uh, if you're the worst, you're giving up like five points more, they're giving up 12.8 points more than the average. Delightful. That's, that's more than most teams give up against tight ends. So do you know what that number is?
the total average that they're given up, I died from what I can see through the work. The first seven weeks and you can validate it, maybe our slides are wrong. But the points given up to, no, this looks right. Wow. I mean, so they've given up 25.2 fantasy points for game to the tight end. That's impossible. So in week one, it was 24.2 to New Orleans. And again, this is across multiple tight ends for Arizona. That would have been, I'm guessing Elijah Higgins and whatever that, no name was, plus McBride. That was 38.8. Wow. Last week, it was Green Bay. Craft had 14.2. The Jets scored 37.9 fantasy points at tight end against them. Buffalo 26.5. So yeah, this is, and TJ Hogg said, five targets last week. Gotta touch down. Kyler looks his way. I think it's the matchup, dude. The Kyler behind the podium picture. They did him 30, which I mean, have you not seen this? It's just their normal, it's just their normal podium. But they've got to, the Vikings have a really cool. I hadn't noticed it before, but adult podium, really cool adult podium. Yeah. And then he's just, oh, it just looks like a little mind. You know, you know, when they, man of body, the rings when they, they dude, camera angles to me. It's so Elijah Wood looks much smaller than, than Gandalf. Let's just say that the podium was Gandalf in this situation. Yeah, there has to be. The podium's like four feet in front of him, right? Nope. It feels great to be honest. It's just his little head sticking out of the side of Kyler. Look it up. It's a funny picture. Who did this? I mean, they built it for NFL players. I built this podium so that these monsters can stand there and talk and look like they're standing behind a normal size podium. And then there's the little Kyler. I, I did not, uh, before we get into the defenses, I didn't bring up some drop candidate questions. And I meant to, um, running back drop candidates, the top three Algier. Yeah. Trevo. No, man. What a landmine. Yeah, Trevo feels like here, here's the weird thing about Trevo. He had a post. I love Trevo, the human. He had a post. It kind of was like vague in its, this is a tough time. This is what it relayed. This is a tough time for me. I didn't know, like part of me wanted two things that it could signify there was an official depth chart discussion between him and the Corey Kyler. Or there's a trade on the horizon that could impact his role as well. Breaking news. The Colts have agreed to send eight-time proble guard, Quinton Nelson. Oh my god. The Seattle Seahawks. Jonathan Taylor's gone. This could be to the Seahawks. To the Seahawks. Wow. Nelson's on an expiring contract. This is per Adam Schaefter and rap sheet, I guess. Wow. They're, they're, they're done. They're going to tear it down. But I don't know if they better now, you know who they should say better now, because now you as a John the Taylor man, now things just got worse. You're like, this is bad for Taylor. Good luck. He's on the dollar. So Trevo, I think you could drop him. I think it would be landmine. But he fits the category of like Caleb Black and stuff. Like if if Ramon Ray went down. That's the hardest part of drop. I don't think you should. There's a difference between can drop should drop. Right. I don't think you can and should drop Algier. Yes. I think you can drop Trevo, but I'm not going to say should. And then Jacob Dobbins, I wouldn't do either of them. Correct. Jacob Dobbins is still, for all we know, he is their absolute goal line back. I mean, he got to touch on this week, didn't he? Am I, am I misremembering that? I thought he got to touch on this. I believe he did. He did. You cannot, I know we're we're pro Jonah Coleman, but that does not. You're going to, you're going to die at these wide receiver top candidates. Well, then don't say them. I want to live. So they're getting the Colts are getting a 27th third and a 28 fifth. That seems like a great deal for them. That's three and a five for an expiring contract. Forever dude. That's good. Although Minnesota made the call. I don't know, I don't know. The problem is if they were doing a trade to Seattle, I feel like those would have been worked together. Right. I don't think there's going to be a separate Seattle trade for Jonathan Taylor. It just makes no. Maybe it's the Patriots. And that's why trevos. Yeah, I don't know. Jalen Waddle, Cortland, Sutton, Josh Downs, top three candidates for drops. Jalen Waddle. Jalen Waddle, man, I tried to talk you out of. Yeah. No, that was wrong on that one. The Cardinal still sucked and they gave up 30 points to the Broncos, but Waddle didn't get it done. And so Waddle's number two in drops to combine with the fact that Bonix can't throw the football down the field. It's not that he can't have a game. It's like, I mean, is Sutton better than him on the year? I don't think it's relevant. No, it's not. No, it's and he's not. But I'm just thinking like I would never drop Jalen Waddle. I'll say that. You would not drop Jalen Waddle. Man, I think Waddle is ahead of you. Oh, you are turning. Well, it's, I mean, I know he, I don't think he represents landmine. He represents like whoopsie. You're saying whoopsie has a drop. Yeah, I mean, I mean, yeah, just for after the by week. Right now, you're not going to play him against Kansas City. Then it's Carolina. Maybe you play him there. Like you could have against the Cardinals. And he did get a fantasy points. He always he waddled. Well, then then he goes to by week. So you're not, so it's like, so you would drop Jalen Waddle to waivers. I mean, it depends upon who you're picking up. But you know, all these not rage dropping all these rookies that are out there, you know, if Antonio Williams is out there and Jalen Waddle is like, I would rather have him tell me a Williams. No, that's right. Jalen Waddle. I think all six of those rookies are a real conversation against Waddle. Sutton, yes, get rid of him. Pun him off of bridge. Josh Downs. I mean, there's nothing redeemable about him. I hate to say this for, let's say for fantasy. I got a third. I cannot believe you traded him for a thing. Oh, baby. Is the timing was right coming off. I mean, everything nine targets. 11 targets. Opportunities. Tyler Warren hasn't been around. He's turned that into six catches in two weeks for a total of 58 yards. He has been worthless to your team. Yeah. And it's not going to get better. Josh Downs belongs get Taylor out of town. Oh, Mike is now panicking because Mike is like if they keep it. I don't like the fact that you're trading a offensive lineman. That's everything. Oh, it is. And it does. It makes you think, okay, Taylor's definitely on the block. But if somebody doesn't pay the price, he's stuck. And and behind the line of scrimmage. I mean, let's do let we have time today before we talk defenses. I think there's no reason we shouldn't have the what if question around Taylor and some of these teams. So yeah, fun. If you look at the best team because you the only teams trading former teams making a run. Mm-hmm. It's not Buffalo. Buffalo's set at the position. So you so New England let's try to teams. So New England. Yes, they're in play. So New England is in play for sure. And I and that would be great. You look at I mean, I would have imagined a Cincinnati. I would imagine the sea hawks will not be trading for them because of this trade. I'm yeah, I'm just going division right. I, I think it's a bang. It's not in it. Bangles are not in it, dude. I it wouldn't it would not surprise me. Oh, the bangles would be great. They think they're frustrated with Chase Brown. Okay. It would be awesome. Baltimore's out. Jacksonville's probably not doing that. And so they're in division two. So then and not Kansas City. Not I mean, Denver maybe. Yes. Yeah. So Denver. So since he and Denver and New England from the AFC. You're done. On the other side, you've got the giants. New York Giants. That's not impossible. Lead in the division. That one's weird though. And and I feel like it's probably not not the Dallas Cowboys. No, they don't do this stuff anymore. Not and nobody else in that division. Minnesota. Yep. For sure. Not Chicago. Not Detroit. Not Green Bay. I think that's made probably the list. So then nobody nobody in the South. Nobody in the West. Other than Seattle. Could be. But I don't think it's going to happen. So then your your list is like, let's order these. Where is your least favorite favorite destination? Favorite destination? New England, Cincinnati, Denver. New York, Minnesota, Seattle. New York is my least favorite. I do not want him going there. By a combination of ruining came scataboo. But also. Okay. They're also with Matt naggy with Matt naggy there. It will be a committee. I know that you do the logical. If you are investing this much and bringing on that contract and giving away capital, you're going to make him the guy. New York won't nag you want. Denver will mean that same argument holds true with Denver for sure. I mean, there's no, there's no way that Denver doesn't have RJ Harvey involved on third downs. And you know, even when they had the bat, even when he had the best of the best players. The last the last few years though, every single like time that a player has come up when Christian McCaffrey was being treated like Denver was trying to get him in the draft. They were, they were, they wanted gentie and they were trying to trade up for gentie and but he went too high. And they want a stud and remember back in the day, Alvin Camera, you know, with with Sean Payton, he did get the vast majority of work. So go on because it was, it was it was marketing. It was anger. I mean, you I do not see them putting our most Coleman on the shelf completely. Minnesota is awesome. Minnesota, he would get everything. Yeah, I mean, I feel like you would become the identity of the office. I'm across Seattle off as a
a great. I think New England is, I think you would dominate New England. He would be so awesome. I don't really love Cincinnati's a destination. Oh, that's like my favorite. I think if they, they're not going to be a run first team. I mean, if they, but they're going to be a winning team, they're going to be running the second half. The doubt will be involved. He's too, he's too important to that team. Chase Brown just split 50, 52 weeks ago with Somajay P run while they were saying we've got to figure out if they were to trade. He's a problem. I mean, they were to trade for Jonathan Taylor. He would, he would, that's my favorite destination. Wow. Okay. Now he's in my, that's not my favorite. That's my least favorite. I'm going to go Minnesota. New England. Yep. That's my two in order. And then I think since he's three for me. Okay. Yeah, I think just because wherever he goes, he's displacing, you know, he's obviously displacing who's there. But the real truth is that the best scenario most often for guys like this is to stay where they were when they get everything. Like the best, the best Jonathan Taylor is a winning Colts team. I do agree with that. That part is gone. But that part is going to win. John, you're already a Quentin Nelson. Yeah, you don't, you don't send an offensive lineman stalwart like a, a face of your team. Yeah. He's been, he's been there for a mystery. So you don't make that move. That's a, you, you have signals. You're like, we're done here. We are going to be looking at the future. The comments yesterday again, public facing irrelevant if a trade happens. The comments yesterday with that, even if they move forward with a cell, they want to build around Jonathan Taylor for the next run. I told Mike, I think it's a, I genuinely think it's a bad move for them to trade Jonathan Taylor because, you know, they need, they've, they've got Dale Jones under contract next year. He's going to be their quarterback next year. We know they can win with that combination. They did it last year. And they need Jonathan Taylor in order to succeed. If they were to trade him now, they'll be, they'll be terrible for years. Wild wild wild. Everyone's off the table. I mean, I, I'm guessing DeForest Buckner gets traded. You know, just can't even want to hang around. Does Keenan go someplace? Is Downs get traded? Keenan definitely wants exactly. He's like, yeah, trade, have a trade, Josh Downs, trade them all. I just want to get to number. It's crazy by the time. All time list. We might, I mean, we're going to get surprised by a move at some point here. Defences this week, circling back to waivers. Jacksonville, New England, good starts this week. Jackson goes great. They play against Indianapolis and they're down alignment this coming week. The New England Patriots play Miami. Miami put it to the Jets a little bit, but I don't know if they do that to the Patriots defense. The Colts don't have their first because of sauce gardener. Oh, which is why they need to put sauce gardener and trade him for a first. They need to get it back at an undue. Control Z. Well, they traded two first forms. Yes, correct. But I'm saying they're 27 first. They're 27 first. You're saying just go trade them for one and just burn at first. Sure. I don't think that's what you do. I'm saying they'll around them on the defense. That you're not in you won't be available to get a quarterback, no matter how bad your record is. So yes, probably it will be Jones next year. The Cincinnati Bengals defense plays Tennessee. Tampa Bay plays Atlanta. I don't know if I love that. They're playing good, though, playing well. And the Raiders play the Jets. So I think there's yeah, there's a handful. This week is pretty easy on on defense special teams where you don't go hard after anyone because I think there's five really good pickups that are pretty widely available. That was the waiver wire presented by T-Mobile. When you're updating your roster right before kickoff, you've got coverage you can count on just another reason. Game days are better with T-Mobile. Check it out at T-Mobile.com/membership. All right, we'll take a break and get into full stream ahead. Full stream ahead. Oh yeah. I got some nasty boys today. Yeah, I mean, streaming quarterbacks. This is the way. Some weeks look better than others. This is no, they're all great. They're just name wise. Well, yeah, I'm saying Geno Smith out loud. So Geno Smith against the Raiders. We said it last week. Yeah, it was great. I mean, there are there's the squeaky wheel of Garrett Wilson. There's the old talent of Omar Cooper Jr. I went back and there's the dog of Mason Taylor. That's right. The cat dog. Someone had cut up all of Garrett's routes from this past week. I'm like, okay, let's see. Oh, Geno. White open. He missed at least two touchdowns. Yeah, so Geno this week against the Raiders. The Raiders past defense very defeatable 27th in yards per attempt, 25th in schedule, just the fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. Some of you out there have Perty and Shokhan by this week. So we got some names for you. Geno's the name. I'll throw out. Yeah, I'll go with Sam Donald. We know he can have big performances. He's got the best wider. He's got a new guard. Protect the man. He's got the best wide receiver in football. The Chicago matchup, I could see this, you know, going back and forth right now. It's a 50 46 and a half point over under and you know, he's he's only 18% started three and a half point home favorites. So I, you know, he's definitely someone you can throw on your lineup this week. We're going to keep it nasty with Jacobi Brissette of the Arizona Cardinals. Why? Because he plays the Dallas Cowboys. Honestly, Tanner McKee looked okay versus the Dallas Cowboys, which Tanner McKee should not look okay versus a professional NFL defense at this point in his career. Jacobi will be fine. We got a 54 and a half point over under that rounds up. We have a 55 point over under and the Dallas defense. It is Duke Schneid. Deadlass and EPA per dropback. Deadlass and explosive explosive pass rate. A lot of it. Everything's exclusive about the Dallas Cowboys number one and explosive rate on the toilet. Jacobi Brissette's a great start. In fact, I think that's my favorite of the three, but it's really important. Foclin, if you take the advice and start Jacobi Brissette, do not tweet going into the fourth quarter. Oh, yeah, yeah, okay. I don't want to hear about it until the game's done. Just wait till prevent defenses and backup defenders. Jacobi will eat in that fourth quarter. I mean, Dallas, how many? Four and a half touchdowns for Dallas over under. Four and a half. I mean, the difficulty with all the guys. That's a good line. How many touchdowns Jacobi has the last two weeks? How many? One. Yeah. The offense has been struggling around the red zone. Oh, they definitely have. They're so good at getting to the red zone though. I mean, between the 20. They have the most 12 play sustained drives in football. Do you know that? Well, because then they get in the red zone and they get a lot of plays that don't go to the area. They're nine play drives and they go to 10, 11, 12. If they get a first down in the red zone, that's yeah. Now we're at six plays. Jonathan Taylor, been traded yet. Let me go check. What's his wife say? How about the cardinals are interested? Just want to invest everything that's running. Oh, jolly. Don't even don't even talk about it. Doesn't look like it. Okay. Jonah Coleman is the top waiver wire pickup due to his strong performance as Denver's primary running back, playing 49% of snaps and showing explosive potential. His return from IR and the team's offensive struggles make him a high-upside option.
Antonio Williams is a top pick due to his breakout opportunities, especially after injuries to other targets. Other strong options include Caleb Douglas, McKay Lemon, and Jordan Tyson, all with recent productive performances.
Seth McGowan is a low-risk, high-potential pick as the Indianapolis Colts' rookie backup. If a trade involving Jonathan Taylor happens, he could step into a starting role and offer value as a cheap, available option.
Christian McCaffrey has a mild hamstring strain and is expected to return, though his explosive run volume is limited. His production is more about consistency than power, which affects fantasy value in matchups where he's managed closely.
Tyler Warren has shown strong production with six catches in two weeks for 58 yards, and is a high-upside target with a high ceiling. His role as a primary target makes him a valuable flex option, especially in matchups with weak defenses.
Yes, the Detroit Lions have allowed 25.2 fantasy points to tight ends, making them a prime target. Other matchups include the Raiders vs. Jets and the New England Patriots vs. Miami, where defenses are expected to be vulnerable.
