Week 8 Studs & Duds + Trade Rumors - Fantasy Football Podcast for 11/2

This week’s Fantasy Footballers podcast highlights a wave of injuries and roster instability across the NFL, significantly impacting fantasy football strategies. Kyler Murray’s decline in performance and recurring injuries are cited as signs of a deteriorating quarterback career, while the Minnesota Vikings’ QB crisis—sparked by the trade of JJ McCarthy and potential need for a new quarterback—raises questions about their future success and impact on the running game. Jonathan Taylor is discussed as a high-risk, high-reward option, though many believe building a team around a running back is fundamentally flawed. Multiple key injuries—including Lamar Jackson’s thumb dislocation, Jeremiah Love’s high ankle sprain, and others—create volatility, leading to volatile fantasy matchups. Wide receivers like Addy Mitchell and Omar Cooper Jr. show flashes of brilliance, but consistency remains elusive. The Jets’ Breeze Hall is in a streak of dominant performances, yet his success depends on heavy carries, making him a high-risk pick. The Ravens’ quarterback collapse after Jackson’s injury threatens their playoff chances. Experts emphasize caution in lineup decisions, urging listeners to prioritize waiver wire pickups and avoid over-relying on injured or inconsistent players. As the trade deadline approaches, fantasy managers must navigate a landscape of uncertainty, injury, and shifting team dynamics. The episode concludes with a reminder of the importance of community, fan engagement, and strategic planning in the face of constant change.

Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers podcast with your host, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright. Welcome in! Welcome to November, it's Monday. Andy Mike and Jason, the Fantasy Footballers podcast, back with you. Halloween is over. The costume came off for Kyla Murray this weekend. He is who we knew he was. I mean, we tried to warn you. We did. I think there was parts at least Jason that believed, you know, it was the Cardinals that were, you know, he would emerge, like you kind of, yeah, I wanted to see the world burn kind of go out there, succeed somewhere. I wanted to see him go out and prove that he was worthy of the number one pick and that the Cardinals ruined his, you know, the Cardinals were the problem. Obviously he did win with the Cardinals and we have lost without him. He's also been winning with the Vikings, but it's not him. No, he's bad at, at the game. And it was all the same stuff we saw in Arizona over the, since the injury pretty much, which was cowardice, cowardice. Sure. I mean, they had nine. Now they got four and a half. And look, I talk about his height. Don't, don't do that. Here's the, the real crazy thing. I believe the Vikings will trade for a quarterback. And because they have to, I think, but the funny part about it is they traded away JJ McCarthy for a five, right? And I think they're going to have to give up more than that to get Kirk cousins or Daniel Jones. Yeah. To come in and replace McCarthy. So you're going to give up more draft capital. I also think their quarterback problem may very well take him out of the Jonathan Taylor sweepstakes. I agree with those that believe that if you bring Jonathan Taylor into that team, you're still not winning a super correct. And maybe it makes it life a little easier on Kyler Murray. I thought one of the things from the weekend in that game that was wild was just a lot of Aaron Jones. Aaron Jones had been banged up and hurt. And then it was tons of Aaron Jones in this game. It wasn't a lot of Jordan Mason. I mean, I don't think either of those guys is is good enough to carry the team for sure. But I, it's just a wild weekend. It was very wild. I think like even if you go like Daniel Jones, whatever, there's no quarterbacks out here who are going to come into Minnesota and change it. That's why I'm on the side of. If you get Taylor, you probably don't win the Super Bowl. But if you get Jonathan Taylor, you can act you can change the entire foundation like the team is now defense and we run and Kyler throws the ball like 18 times a game as a person who fundamentally believes Mike that building a team around running back is 99% of the time the worst decision you can make. However, you meant, you know, CMC, a handful of running guys, and I just seems defenses are strong enough to, but wouldn't the hamstring themselves from a perspective of finding that next quarterback, because even if you keep Kyler the rest of the year, it should be quite obvious at this point that he's not yet. Yeah, they know that. But I just saw Ian Hart has posted the EPA per dropback by year for Kyler Murray. It is his quote was Kyler Murray is pretty easily playing the worst football of his career. It is the lowest of his career. But you're in that quarterback purgatory now running out time is running out on the Kevin O'Connell experience like you're not going to get one in the draft. You're you're just going to be back in the free agent. Hopefully someone somehow becomes available. I don't and I don't think that Taylor stops that process from happening next year. Also, I mean, if you're while we're going to do this and dunk on Kyler. I do think it would you like to dunk on? It's it's a it's us. Oh, on us. Yeah, we go. Oh, you know, who might be a good OC guys. Not Mike McDaniel. Go on the blob fish. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. The passing off the Detroit Lions. Running some cool stuff. Yeah, tight ends up through. Maybe that was a car was a problem. You got the 30 yards off the line of scrimmage creative. Running play for Aman Ross. Like he they fought. They fought through the Minnesota Vikings defense and managed to figure it out in the second half. Crazy weekend big time injuries. Lots of headlines. Lots to talk about. Studs and duds on the show today. We'll we'll do a bank on it segment. Oh, man. Like when when one injury ruins the entire game. Multiple fantasy football stars. Well, let's react the way we always do. Oh, yes, with your submitted puns on Monday, Monday. Oh, go ahead, Mike. Oh, oh, Jonah swole man. Yes, he looked good. He's thick. Uh, Glee Higgins. Yeah. Buoyah, Tudon. Wait, Gardiner Man should look someone played him. Oh, he was still awesome. Okay. Good morning, SCOREN. Brock powers unstoppable. Okay. Yeah, this is the one. Only fan ins. Yeah. Is there a joke in here that I don't understand? Yeah, there's clearly is if you don't understand that one. Jordan love you long time. Okay, Dalton King Cade. Oh, Matthew Gold mine. Yes, we had some bad ones like Denzel lost in our quarterback of Jacobi regret. Jabroni percent. Yes, Omar Cooper, Jr. Yes, yes, Slim Pickens. Ashton, empty. Uh, Baker minefield. Yes, Michael panic, Jr. Nay flowers. Oh, it wasn't his fault. I do not. He goes. Oh, Xavier worthless. Oh, oh, Lamar Jack thumb. Oh, come on. That's funny. Jonathan failure. Oh, yes. And do key Metcalf, dude, dude, dude. That bomb drop not only like if you drop that and it just hits the ground. That's one of the worst drops of the season. But when you just give it to Denzel Ward, I mean six targets always. It's every week. It's just well, but the targets for DK Metcalf. The targets are irrelevant. He caught a pass for four yards. Hash tag Monday, Monday, every Sunday night Instagram. Yeah, he was. He was that one pass. One pat. One of his six targets. Thankfully, the targets are going down to six because they've been like double digits. But I mean, he's on pace for 136 targets and 800 yards off of that. Yes. Uh, yes. Thank you for your puns. Let's jump in. Bank on it smartly presented by US bank. All right. Bank on it. Don't bank on it. Three players. Three big performances. What do we think? Tyler Algier, 11 for 147 and one on the ground. The Cardinals were down 17 three. They, the Cowboys defense gave up four consecutive touchdown drives to Gardner, Minchew in the final six minutes in 47 seconds of the game. Improbable. Cardinals even tried to not say kick didn't get it. Still won the game. Still won the game. But Tyler Algier, he's the RB one on the week. He, you know, Jordan love. Oh, sorry. Jeremiah love. Unfortunately, came back. I was literally saying in the studio. I was like, Oh, he's got a little burst to him now. Hip drop high ankle sprain. Same situation for him. Both ankles have been a problem all year. Tyler Algier, then goes absolutely nuclear. All 63 yard touchdown. Don't forget the guy who had been better than Tyler Algier in family. He also left the game with a con. Now, listening to Gardner, Minchew at the press covers, he was talking about Tyler Algier. He's like Tyler came in expecting to be the third back in this game, which was, I mean, that's, that's weird. It is weird. First of all, that he would say that second of all that, like, it sucks. If you're Tyler Algier and you sign this contract to be the start of for the Cardinals, and then they spend the number was three pick on Jeremiah love. You go, Oh, OK. But now love is injured and you're still expecting to be the backup. And then Bam gets injured. It was a big, big game against the bad, bad team. 58% rostered on sleeper. He was dropped in our league of record. I will go ahead and say that publicly. If you didn't notice it happened on Sunday morning. Here's the problem. Yeah. They go to Seattle. Then they play the Rams. Oh, both of those are two of the worst, but hold on possible matchups for running, running backs. Oh, then in Kansas City. Yeah, that's a bad. And then Washington and Philly are not good running matchups either. But by that concussion, Bam night will be back. Yeah. Jeremiah love probably won't for a while. I'm a, I'm a pretty solid don't bank on it because I think Tyler Algier. I don't know what the waiver wires look. We haven't done our rankings yet. We'll do them today. We'll do the show tomorrow. Algera will be near the top. Yeah, see, it's a little complicated because you have to bank on that he's going to be a waiver pickup. He should be a waiver pickup because you want starting running backs. You just, you want them on your roster, but with those matchups, that's a, don't bank on it. It's, yes. And it's not like Algera hasn't had plenty of opportunities. Jeremiah Lovesman hurt all year long and Algera's done nothing. He had 40 total fantasy points for seven weeks combined. He had 33 and a half yesterday. Jason, are you also on the bank on, I mean, you're going to bank on him being the starter and getting the work, but that is going to not go well with those matchups. He's not efficient enough. The Cardinals aren't a good enough offense to where you can say, oh, this is, this is going to work out really well for him. Now, I mean, sometimes guys get touchdowns and in bad matchups and he might be okay. You know, there's been waiver pickups where we were like, I'm not sure this is going to work out. And then, hey, in a bad matchup, they come through. But no, you can't, you cannot bank on him having another performance like this. He's the running back one on the week. All right. Second candidate here for bank on it, Emmett Johnson running back for the chiefs and when I say running back, I mean, wide receiver because was that action gently? They really needed, almost the same carries. They really needed weapons in the passing game. Here comes Emmett Johnson five for one, 28 and one played 19% of the snaps can walk or 81%. Walker's been kind of held in check for two straight weeks. Seattle dimber. Emmett Johnson though very explosive. You know, those were plays where man, if Walker had been on the field for the wheel route or something, maybe it's a similar result. I don't know. Yes. The touchdown. Yeah. Where there was nobody on earth. Maybe they don't cut, maybe they covered them, but they don't cover Emmett, you know, so maybe what is your thought on the Emmett Johnson experience? Look at it in terms of would he be the a committee type of player at any juncture for you and fantasy if Walker's healthy? I don't think so. I don't think they're, he has shown great, like he's like the if Walker went out, if Walker went out, he would be a league or a league winner. And the fact that he is currently only rostered in 24% of leagues. He's a guy that we've been saying for weeks, like must roster. He is as valuable an insurance running back as there is in the entire league because he's shown that he is fully capable of succeeding obviously dominated this week in the in the receiving game. And he is good on the ground as well. He just doesn't need the opportunities. He's got one carry this week because it was Ken Bone Walker, you know, and and I don't think that this splits. I don't think that they go to some 60, 40 times share because Emmett looks good. I think they're just happy that they've got another weapon that they can use from time to time. And a good backup should something happen to Kenneth Walker must be rostered. I don't think he's going to be a playable asset. The way that like Blake Kormas turned into a weekly playable asset, that's just not going to happen here. All right. So another don't bank on it. One last one. What in the world happened here? Add nine Mitchell, finally, nine targets, seven for one, 42, a touchdown, 61% of snaps, 26 routes. So that's not a lot or relative to what he could have run. Omar Cooper, Jr. wins no targets after two weeks of exploding more snaps, same exact amount of routes. So add nine Mitchell who I liked coming into the year. Yeah, you did. We didn't think Omar Cooper would be a thing. I mean, you did add nine Mitchell. Well look, here's the real crazy part, like the last three weeks. The best jets wide receiver every week is not named Garo Wilson. I know. And it's not like they didn't try to get the ball into Garo Wilson's hands more often. How many red zone targets he had? Garo Wilson wasn't bad. I mean, he was six for 83, but he certainly wasn't the best. Add nine Dominators. Yeah. And then the last two weeks Cooper had the big plays like the downfield explosive plays that they are hitting on Magino are going to Cooper and add nine Mitchell this week. It reminds me of the Browns. We've been talking about for the Browns for the last couple of weeks. That every week, they're going to have one good receiving option. Like, you know, is it a Denzel boss in week? Is it a conception on week this week? It's not only Fanon's week this week. It was an only Fanon's week. You know, the last couple of weeks has been Omar Cooper, Jr. There was a week where it was Kenyans to D there were weeks where it was Garo Wilson. Now this week it was add nine Mitchell. Taylor. Yeah. Yeah. So I think they can support where the Browns can support one. I think they can support one and a half. Yeah. That's fair. But right now, I mean, I'm, I'm a, this is the first time we've, I'm all three. Don't bank on it. I think, Adam, I mean, what are you going to do? Yeah. It's tough. I don't think he is. I think he's their third best wide receiver and that's not to say anything negative of him. It's just like I believe what I saw from Omar Cooper was really, really good. They didn't go his way this game. They didn't need to. They scored a ton of points in this game and had great success. Obviously, Garrett Wilson is their best wide receiver, regardless of whether he's coming through for fantasy or not. And so it's really tough to say add nine Mitchell in his best game of all time. We'll just continue to have this kind of success. Mike, are you an agreement? Yeah. You can't bank on it. The, the flip flopping. Maybe it's add nine moving forward over Omar Cooper. And he'll be, we'll pick him up all three of these guys will be a big conversation tomorrow. Yeah. I mean, they're all going to be on the waiver show with how much you want to invest. But I don't think any of us look at it as a guaranteed production situation for any of them. That was bank on it. Oh, I almost, I mean, so much happening this weekend, I almost forgot what happened right before the weekend. By the way, the trade deadline is only a week away November 10th for Eastern. If you want to keep that in the back of your mind, Josh Jacob, all right, in our report, said Jacobs is quote, going to continue to play, but it's possible. He gets a suspension at the end of the league's investigation into more claims of domestic violence against him. We have three new accusations. Great. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So we're just going to just report what other people talk about with Josh Jacobs. But I would say there's a reason they're also in Jonathan Taylor talks. Yep. Yeah. Yeah. I guess I'll just keep playing until he's not allowed to play. Do you think you get suspended? Yeah. Dude. Yeah. I mean, the league's investigation. How long does that last? I have no idea if it's like another year, uh, six months, a month, a week, a video, a report. Yeah. Listen, what happens when there's two more that's what happens when there's three more. Yeah. You know, where there's obviously there's smoke. It's not often fire. It's not the same thing, but it was like the beginning of the Dishon Watts and accusations. It was the same. It was like this where it was like, we had one, you're like, oh, gross. What? Yeah. Okay. Well, the Texas will probably just shake this off and then a few more and then all of a sudden you're up to whatever the 20 plus or so against Watson. So the fact that we have more now multiple women accusing Josh Jacobs of domestic violence is just this sucks. R.G. Harvey was placed on IR by the Broncos over the weekend. He had a knee injury in practice. So it was the Jonah Coleman show, almost exclusively, Jacob Dobbins tried. Coleman did. Yeah. We talked about it going into the week that Jonah Coleman is just the far superior running back to JK Dobbins. Yes. And at some point, they're going to have to make that shift. We hope that it would be this week and it was this week. Yeah. The, it was not close. I can't wait to hear him in the locker room trying to talk about why the snaps. Jonah Coleman, 41 snaps to 13 for JK Dobbins. Now, Kerry's was pretty close, but Ralph's was 17 to two. The rumors all week. I mean, we're going to, if you just refresh Twitter, you'll have seven more fake reports about Jonathan Taylor, Jonathan Taylor to the Broncos was one of the strongest rumors last night because some really sourced, highly trusted Broncos beat reporters, who, you know, a lot of people trust their, who they're talking to said they're making as hard of a push for Jonathan Taylor as any team, which for the Broncos probably makes a ton of sense for, especially with Harvey's injury and the Dobbins, Dobbins would possibly be sent out in that move, but it would suck for Jonah Coleman because it would be a multi year situation for Taylor, right? You'd be in Denver for a while. It would absolutely. And right now, right now, it looks like Jonah Coleman's that going to be that guy. I know. I know. But if that trade happens, he is not that guy. No, no. For years. Right now, he feels like a bank on it before. Oh, you know, I'm fine to roll with next week in the foreseeable future without John on the Taylor. Uh, there was a report about John Jennings going back to the Vikings and that there was a trade in place for the back to the 49ers, 49ers and then Jennings said, nah. Yeah. Yeah. He was he was there. He did great. I'm happy here, but I'd be unhappy there. He did great things for the 49ers as seen by the 49ers going, Hey, that guy's out there and he was really good for us. They slided him. But yeah, he was trying to get he was trying to get an extension and get money from them and they did not pay him. Yeah. So he's like, No, no, I'm not going. Well, well, well. Yeah, wouldn't wouldn't that be nice until nobody pays you. Somebody has regrets. Yeah. Uh, this was the big news on Sunday. It took a game that I don't think I'd look forward to a game. A match up more than this week's Baltimore Buffalo game. Let's go. Lamar first in the first thing I remember waking up to Sunday morning was just you texting our group chat. Basically, I'm so excited for the bills Ravens game. Yeah. And then the bottom fell out because Lamar Jackson on play one of the game dislocated his thumb. It will require surgery. He's going to IR. He may not return this season and then Tyler Huntley, but it was okay because Tyler Huntley is competent back up. Yeah, we've we've gotten some numbers from Z. And he's gone. And what's the third guy? Joe Fogano. Yeah. Yeah, you yeah, they're in the back. They're in the market for a quarterback or their season is over. Oh, that's, you know, they're they're fully up against it. It's not just this is what I mean, and they flowers. This is a flowery lane and and dare can and Henry would becomes army two. Yes. This is devastating news for fantasy football. Yeah, they play Thursday by the way. So if you can't fix your quarterback by Thursday, they will not Jason. No, they're not a move. They're not going to push that back. Give them a couple more days. And it's against Jacksonville. We we're having a conversation this weekend of asking who's the best team in the NFL right now? Like what what team because there is an ache shown some hole. There isn't a clear cut winner. The bills look like they're my pick, but I they look great, but their defense has been really, really bad. Obviously, the 49ers have been dominating most of the season, but they are really injured right now. Hopefully some time off has helped them. The Vikings were undefeated, but then, you know, they've got a Kyler issue. He's trying to feed it. They lost to in a row. The Jags were maybe my pick. The Jacksonville Jaguars look good on offense or good on defense. That's who they're playing Thursday. The Ravens get to go up against Jacksonville. They're not going to fix this quarterback problem in a couple of days here. Cool. Fagged about it. I don't know if I'm thrilled with my decision to try that one on. Yeah. Joe Fogano undrafted free agent out of Yukon and eight and a half point line for Thursday already. Kyler Murray played through hamstring tightness. Oh, sure he did. It reminds me of the injury to J. Jim McCarthy last year. Yeah, that's what the that's what the Twitter Spirit's talking about. You know, it reminds me of it reminds me of how when Kyler was coming back from his injury for the Arizona Cardinals and was fine at practice every day. And then they're like, hey, he's he's still dealing with this. Yeah. Uh, I think that, man, Kyler is not good. Not good. He is not good. Michael Wilson said he's playing with two broken ribs. And it didn't matter because he still caught a what should have been a game winning touchdown pass, but was dominant. Sorry to the weak for Jason. Kendrick born left early with a high ankle sprain for the Cardinals who keep getting beat up because love is hurt and bam night is hurt, but they won. The Cowboys still lost. And Manjury Jones is going to have a corner cowboys. I am so sorry for yeah, equally as bad as the defense allowing that catch up to to Gardner Minshu. The Cowboys were not scoring points. No, the against the Cradinals. Yeah, it was the end of that game was all Cardinals offense mixed with the Cowboys offense, not being able to move the ball at all. So weird hunter Henry Mike. Yeah, injured foot injury. We were off to a great start. Yeah, left the game. He was a good spot start. And of course, to Mario Douglas has a big old week. Yeah, pop Douglas. Once I, the only week I didn't play him, Jake Ferguson left early with a low ankle sprain as well. Okay. We had some good players this weekend. Yeah, we did. This week's fantasy stud muffins. Joe, burrow. By the way, looked like for the second week in a row garbage in the first half of this game. Three interceptions. Yeah, incompetent offense. You literally at one point towards the end of the first half were like, does his throwing motion look different? And it was probably just because every pass he was throwing was under thrown and just a terrible decision. It was wild. How bad he was playing about the five touchdowns and then one on the ground. Yeah, it was pretty good. I ran into Joe burrow. I'm sorry. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, he was what if you ran into a Joe burrow T Higgins stack? Yeah, I did. Did you see T Higgins? I saw something fatality. Yeah. Yeah. I saw something really interesting yesterday. Well, a couple things. First of all, Joel Smith tweeted this. So I'll give a shout out to him that targets for Chase and Higgins. Do you know what they are? I have no idea. 61 each. The receptions for Chase and Higgins. 43 each. The yards for Chase and Higgins. This more T's got to have more 492 for Chase. 726 for Higgins. Two Higgins is dominant. Higgins current pace. 104 for 1763 and 10. That's been done six times in the history of the NFL. It's this is which means he's going to get hurt. This is I feel like the first year. Not that I was by any means anti T was very happy. But like this was the first year that I was not you've always been I didn't just like overly close to you. That's why you you set him free. Yeah, you set him free. Well, enjoy everyone plays well with expectations in the last two games Andy in the last two games. T Higgins is on pace for 136 receptions for 2,575 yards and 25 times. Yeah, he's here's a good game plan for if you want to be Cincinnati, their defense reverted this weekend against the Titans. That was by far the best game I've seen from Cam Ward. He is he is in the studs this week 26 for 40 for 304 and to had a rushing touchdown. The spin move. That was the best game we've seen from Cam Ward. So impressive. Happy to see it a little bit of hope there. Kurt Cousins, Josh Alan Cam Ward, Patrick Mahomes, the top five. Kurt Cousins been great man. He has been. I mean, this was they squeaked out the win. This was a back and forth game with the jets that the the Raiders don't look great as a team, but Kurt Cousins has been awesome on pace for 4,500 yards and 40 touchdowns for Kurt Cousins and a very strong contender to be traded to Minnesota. But I don't know if they'll do it. I don't know if they're willing to do Kirk would want that. It's like the Jennings thing. Jennings didn't want to go back to the Niners because he what the Niners just expected him. Six and one. Yeah. A potential playoff run. Yeah, maybe make it. I'm just saying I don't know how his relationship is because they wouldn't pay him. They made him basically leave. Well, it was feel disrespect and slighted. It was that was offered the the Achilles tear. Sure. So another team supported you and paid you and yours didn't. Yeah, but they were the Vikings were correct. Kurt Cousins looked horrible for a few years. Yeah. And then obviously a gardener mentioned you may be taking over for Arizona and like less than a half. He went 17 for 23 for 188 and three touchdowns, which was cool. Trevor Lawrence started the week. Managed to be great with 14 pass attempts. Impressive. Running backs, Tyler Algier, Bayshall Tutan, absolutely dominant. I mean, and this was a game where a crowd had a long touchdown. Jacksonville Indianapolis was not as fair fight. No. And then Tony Pollard, welcome back to the top. Pollard just murdering folks. He looks so dominant every play right now. Someone asked me if him dominating this week made me feel better about last week. The answer is unequivocally. Yes, yes, yes. Of course. It made me feel infinitely better. Jamir Gibbs and Emmett Johnson rounding out the top five. Gibbs against Minnesota's defense 23 for 153 and one took him a while to get going. It took till the second half and then he got going, which is that's why you need Jonathan Taylor monster shout out to a monster. Yes. 21 for 147 and one this one is fascinating. And we just got a report. Yeah. Moments ago that breeze hall will be back for next week against Kansas. He's ready to go and he is expected to start. What? What do you do? I believe breeze had some vague tweeting. Oh, he has. And then he's leading. And then he did lead in his Twitter account. Yeah. So there's a lot of a lot of stuff going on near this trade deadline. A lot of rumors of whether breeze will be on the move because obviously with what braille and Alan has been doing. If you're the jets, you're paying a lot of money to breeze as the starter. You could get a lot of draft capital for him. It seems like you might not need him. What's so crazy is that if all that breeze is doing with the social media dance is any indication nothing will happen because he's done this 55 times over the course of his career and nothing happened. But yeah, Brailyn is more than capable of being the dude. I mean, I believe you put a four game streak together here with more yards. Like, like, Breeze Hall's never done this. And the, the issue is, and he's humongous. Brailyn, yes, he is, he is a monster. The issue is Brailyn needs carries to do this. He is a, like, he's not a lightning player, like Breeze Hall where it's, he's aware you where, yeah, he, like, we're after 15 carries and they're 13 of them are trash, but then two huge ones. It's, he's March on. He just beats the crap out of you. And then, eventually, the defense can't stop him anymore. And so I don't know what, like, what do you do if you're the jets of, of, of, did that's the player that, if you want this Brailyn, Alan, you have to feed him. But I mean, you got a breeze. So you're paying was the starter and the moral more, I trade breeze if I were them. I just don't think they're smart. I, yeah, I mean, agreed completely all the way around. I, the right move for them would be to get capital out of the running back position by trading breeze. Now, what? The comparison. They're both just going to be awful. Yeah. Brailyn, Alan, uh, well, for fantasy, yes, what I mean. Yeah. I mean, obviously the jets would think that their running game would be better with both. Right? They, they might think that, but I, yeah, I don't know. I don't know if that might be, but Brailyn, Alan got first in this game, right? Yeah, they, well, they, they didn't lose because of the offense. Right. I'm pretty sure Brailyn, Alan rolled his ankle. Yeah. And this is one of those. He left for a little bit came back. I'm just saying pay attention to it because we see that, we see that over and over where guys are able after an ankle roll to play. Yeah. If you see Wednesday that Breeze Hall is practicing in Brailyn, isn't, and you roll your eyes into the back of the head, that's why. Can we talk about Bucky Irving? No, no, we can't. Let's talk about Jalen Warren, who has been, I can't ignore 27 for 170. You're not even playing the fourth quarter. That, the Falcons knew every play of this game that the Tampa Bay Bucky years would be running the football. Yeah. And gave up, listen to this 324 rushing yards, the most in history for a 13. It was an unbelievably rainy game. This game, you know, we talk about rain doesn't really impact. This wasn't rain. This was no was skywater. This was a crazy. You want to talk about, okay, these, these bad weather games, given different, this was fun to me. This was like, oh, was it? I kind of had fun because of how like, look at you. Bucky Irvings, big sky, big sky, Bucky Irvings, uh, because you had no skin in this game at, yeah, his uniform at the end of this game was just dirt colored. It was mud. They were playing in the mud and everything in this game was a run play. Uh, the Falcons, I don't know why they didn't do this with Bijan as much on the other side, but Baker finished this game without completing a pass. They, the, the Bucky years did not have one pass in this game. That was how bad the rain was and that just, I don't know, it's kind of one completion. Yeah. They had three attempts. Right. Yeah. He said one pass. So I was just saying they didn't know. Yeah. Bucky, the last four games on pace for two thousand yards, 17 touchdowns. Bucky has been running back three, two and seven in three of the last four games. And I believe the snap count was 48% of the running back snaps yesterday. Yeah. I mean, the game was awesome. I mean, genuinely the, the bully ball, the offensive line versus defensive line, uh, for the Buccaneers and the Falcons in that game was just a complete and utter bot warping. Jalen war in 17 for one 43 in another dominant performance. Unbelievable. He has 6.9 yards per touch is the highest of any running back over the last decade through the first eight games of the year. That is numero uno. That's crazy. Yeah. Yeah. And by the way, Kyle is Blake Corm number two, he's number two this year. Yeah. Okay. This year. Gotcha. Um, the, the last six games for Jalen war and when he got the opportunity, like be the starter with the Rico injury, be on pace for 1700 rushing yards plus six hundred and 60 receiving yards. Um, and Rico's been back to three weeks. Yeah, including those games. Yeah, it is. I mean, so the last two weeks he's been an army one. Oh, absolutely. Yeah. Now he goes to the by week. T Higgins, Jamar Chase, Abney Mitchell, Michael Wilson, Pukin, Akua, your top five scores of wide receiver. We've already talked that length about Higgins. Chase has been great. He had more targets. He had a touchdown. He had 141 yards. Higgins just had a second touchdown. Otherwise, these guys were basically the same game. Michael Wilson back to 15 targets. Gardner Menshu transition. We'll see what that means for Cardinal's offense, Tramik bride, tough matchups in Seattle next week. That'll be tough. That'll be really tough. That's it. Gardner is going to be up against it. Yeah. Puka Gardner, Gardner Menshu is so fun. He is. I mean, he's exactly like Jacobi in the sense that these guys come when they get a small stint of a couple games. Flacco. Yeah. They do great. They do great. They come back to earth. There was a great tweet from Adam Rink, uh, friend of the show. He said Gardner Menshu is like the McRibb. He, he exists for just a limited amount of time. But while he's here, it's spectacular. I was like, that's really funny. And with his style, he's totally the same guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, damn jorts and the mullet. You had, uh, a big game for Matthew Golden on Thursday night football, big game for Chimray DK, who stepped into the absence creative archon, I'll take five or 71 in a touchdown. I think DK, for my money, is the single best risk, uh, like return man in the game. Uh, D'Amario Douglas three for 76 and one, another touchdown for James and Williams, four for 70 against Minnesota. Four weeks in a row. He's been, he's been on fire. Blob fish, doing work. And then Rashi Rice coming back from injury, seven for 53 and a two touchdown, technically two. If you like, I don't think that was a, I don't think that was a false start. I don't think it was. I've watched it like 10 times. No, it, I don't understand that call and that game would have been over. Yeah. So for those that always say the chiefs get the calls. They didn't on that one. They got the game taken. It was, it, yeah, possibly, uh, you know, whatever, refs call that how they see it and it game taken by another stupid walker up the middle carry. What are we doing? Stop it. How many times does that have to fail? I don't know why it fails for him though. It's just not, it's not for them. Yeah. Yeah. Well, they, yeah, they, they do, they're tricky stuff works better. Like, figure out something to the outside, figure out a way to, well, they have such fast players, man. I don't know. Uh, DJ Rashi Rice is like, this is sticky. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Bank on it. Yeah. He's the, he's their number one wide receiver. They're sticky enough. No one else on the team has stepped up. Yeah. Maybe a trade happens and then that derails Rishi rice, but I don't think that's what's going to happen. DJ more, seven targets. Four for 82 and a toge down, also had a fumble. 87% route sharing is returned. That is the highest single game route share from any Buffalo Bills player, JJ tweeting that. Um, you love to see it. And he left with the knee injury at the end, but said he was fine after the game. DJ more gets hurt all the time. That's the weirdest unfortunate part of it. And then Jalen Waddle scored. So I guess we're putting him in the studs if he scores, but three for 39. Not so good. No, good for him. Let's take a quick break and we'll be right back with some tight instants. Unstoppable Brock Bowers number one on the week 24.7. I think this is the first time ever that a tight end has started with like 70+ yards receiving in his first, however many games he's played seven. Harold Fanon was number two, Tremac Bride, and number three, Dalton King Cade back in business and Micah Sikki at number five. Tucker Kraft didn't even make the top five with his six for 53 and one on Thursday night. And Jason, you're start of the week, TJ Hawkinson. Nice. If there's one player that loves Kyler Murray, it's TJ Hawkinson. Yeah. So big time weeks for them. The question for me is whether Fanon, who's had, he's had a handful of good games this year, but I like the fact that like you're now in a heating up situation, nine targets, 12 targets the past two weeks, maybe unlocking Harold Fanon in this offense is a more permanent possibility. Yeah. I mean, he is very, very talented. And the more that you get the ball in his hands, the better it works for their offense. It was still 11 targets for Denzel Boston. Yeah. I mean, he's he's he's thrown it around. It was getting like Metcalf target. A very, very tough game for the Browns. The Pittsburgh Steelers defense looked really up for the task. I mean, the Browns only scored six points. I think they had eight sacks. Yeah. Oh, well, I mean, that's why you always, always, always play any DST against the Sean Watson. He does. He holds on to the ball and runs into sacks more than any player. Yeah. All right. It wasn't all good. Booped in his big boy pants. So in principle, playing a quarterback against Dallas was supposed to be good. In reality, it was for Carter Minshue three touchdowns. We have so far, the stream of the week was Jacobi Gibroni Berset last week when when the streaming option of Jacobi Berset was Nino's, I don't tweet us after three quarters. It takes the whole, you did say that. Yeah, it takes the whole game. He did not get the whole game. And then the fourth quarter, obviously monstrous fantasy out of the regard. The process was right, but you guys see the play of Caleb down's getting dribbled. Oh, it's so great. Yeah, like a basketball. That was not a good day for killed down to also got punked by trademark bride, who's yelling at him on the side. Now, pig. You're first railberg. What? Oh, man, dog. Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff had down weeks as well. Goff had that touchdown, uh, that was called back with Almond Rossane Brown. Had one with to James and Williams. Not a good week on the ground for Javante Williams. We thought against Arizona, it would be great. 24 for 56. That's a lot of carries. Yeah. So there you go. It's Indianapolis next week. So if you can back-to-back have bad games against those two defenses, it will be very impressive. Beige on Robinson, 1976. He did not do what Gainwell and Irving could do. No, the trenches, man. I mean, you really saw the gap in these teams. Maybe you can they were actually trenches in this game, by the way. Yes. You can make the argument that the skill position players of, you know, Drake, London, Beige on there. They are, they are better on the Falcon side than I think what the skill position players are of at Buka and and Bucky. But this game was a game of trenches and the offensive and defensive lines for these two teams showed themselves to be superior on the Buccaneer side. The first play of the game for John the Taylor was a 19 yard run. He finished eight for 23. Mike is looking at the camera saying, good, that's the, this is the guy we, we can't trade him. Well, I, I don't understand this weird middle ground of failure, where you don't play him as much. And you also, this is a disaster. Keep them up. But I mean, they were incompetent on offense. Aaron Jones and Jordan Mason awful against Detroit. Yeah. Five for 22, eight for 20, I know they're a good run on. But it's like opportunity wise. I think Mason had one big play as well. And they couldn't move the ball. This is crazy. Let's have the conversation that Mike's been wanting to have. Ashton Gentee was two for nine on the ground. Ashton Gentees, I don't hate Ashton Gentees rushing attempts by game 23, 21, 19, 15, 10, 10, eight. And now two, this story of the, the Ashton Gentee story has to be the fact that Mike Washington had 25. And I don't want to dismiss that Gentees been hurt in a lot of ways. And maybe that's a focal point of this decision. But what are we saying? It's 60, 40 snap percentages for Mike Washington, to be a big, like pick up start guy, 25 opportunity. Certainly a big pickup. I don't know if you can throw it in the starting line. Unfortunately, the schedule for the Raiders is now. Is this accurate? We got San Francisco Seattle Denver. That's what that's what I've been pointing to. The scheduling fantasy football gods have not been very nice. Yeah, then if you get two carries as a superstar guy that you're supposed to. Oh, you ain't a superstar as, uh, what was it? Rex Ryan. Oh, Rex Ryan has got to be living life right now. He's been putting everybody on blast. He was, uh, he, he had a tie rate against the Cowboys last night. He's just been, he's just out there being mean to people. Have fun. Yeah, he is. And he's the, he is the only person I know that's more orange than you right now. Yeah, my, my Richard Simmons tan is doing work. Oh, it really is. And I see you in wider teeth. Here's his, he has wider teeth than everybody. Um, yeah, those of you at home adjacent, your face looks fine. Your body's very, it gets, it gets very, like you got into the pumpkin spirit. Yeah, I, yeah, my palm has, you're rich and it's good, man. You know, I was out there just tan in that party. I don't want to do my fingertips. Judkins went from great week to terrible week. Judkins. And then Omarian Hampton might, oh man, be the worst, the entire chargers team is, I, the, the press conferences are basically like why they all they're doing. They're saying so painful to watch. Why is Mike McDaniel employed? Well, they're just saying that's all they're saying. They're just saying why, why are you sticking with him? Why are you doing this? And I don't know that he is 100 years older than when he's starting. I don't know that he is solely the problem. I mean, you, you have to put the blame on everybody when you're this bad. You aren't bad. You are the worst. You aren't close to the worst, one of the worst. You're the worst. I mean, you're the worst offense out there in the entire national football league. And it's not close. The, the stats between rookie year, Zach Wilson and current, uh, you know, beginning of this year, Justin Herbert are nearly identical. There is, there is only one, listen to this, Mike's bold prediction was that the year two running backs would fail, right? The, the chosen ones. The chosen ones. But it's a genty, Travian, Judkins, Hampton, Harvey, Skataboo. Yeah. The only, and look, I can throw, Woody Marks, Kyle Menongai, hurt, two to the only one. Menongai was dominating. But only one, though, that's doing anything right this morning. But Tim Anderson's living his best life because he didn't get to play. Yeah. I was like, I'm not on the bus list. Oh my gosh. Um, wide receiver duds, how about zero, zero, zero for the unfortunate, not his fault. Zay flowers. And Mike feels this in his bones. You guys, his garden of flowers is dying in front of him. Well, it's unwattered by quarterback play. This, the fact that you have Tyler Huntley now with, reported with turf toe. I mean, you have, unless someone else comes in, your, your Ravens are cooked. They're done. They're done for facing. He's got to, he spent a lot of time on the air last week talking about Jacobi Lane, yeah, who literally like the, like the picture in back to the future is fading. Oh, wait, right before your eyes. And the whole argument was we haven't seen him with Lamar really yet. And now you won't see on that one play 13, 13 yards. Oh, my gosh. Drake Glendon. Forget about it. It's, it's, it's the rain. Don't even, I'm not paying attention to anything with that team this week. Parker Washington, though, two targets, one catch. Some people pointing out the fact that Parker has in the last four weeks, why do you say you're 94, 33, 36, 54. Hmm. So Parker, I don't know, like, if we were talking a pre draft tier decision, the Parker thing is tough because this is a team that is able to beat you with a lot of different players, BTJ scored. Tutan was amazing. Crawd scored, Britain strange, wide open. Uh, oh, I'm going to kill his name, uh, Birkature, whatever his name is, Nate Borkenshire. Yeah. So let's go with that. The tight end. Huge play touchdown. Borkature. Yeah, I was kind of closer. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, the thing is, is, is you can, you can talk about it like that. There's a lot of other weapons to beat you. And so this can happen, which obviously just did. But I also, I'm not worried about Parker Washington and this performance having one for 16. We talked about it with Trevor Lawrence through the ball 13 times. This game was, but Indianapolis Colts were not a serious organization in this week. It was 42 to seven. They, they just, you know, it's like, that's not going to happen. 42 points. And they didn't need Parker Washington is my point. Yeah, because, and the whole, the whole year is the discussion of what tier do you put him in? It's not that he's not good. It's that on the year, seven games played, he's on pace for a thousand yards and 65 catches. So one game you can throw out, but 65 for a thousand is not wide receiver one at all, not even close. That's not, so that's my, that's what I'm asking. It's like, you can throw one game out, but I mean, they did the exact same thing. I mean, in Cincinnati, he wasn't used. So, I don't know, they won 35 to six against New England. He wasn't used. Yeah, I think if, if they're going to, if they're going to blow the tarnations off of somebody, um, you know, and, and run all over him, you could have these type of games. I just don't think that's going to be the absolute norm. So, what is the rest of season for you? What, why does he remember? Why does he were 12? I don't think he's still have them there. I mean, you have to go to 20. Yeah. The week prior was still 11 targets. The week prior was nine targets. You've had a couple of real close missed touchdowns. And I mean, obviously, uh, we'll, we'll find out going forward. They've got two matchups coming up against Tennessee. That scares me. Um, in, in the same type of, uh, in environment. That's the ones we don't care about that stuff. We would never say that about Ramon Ross St. Brown and the earth that, if the Browns or the lines blow somebody out. Yeah. We just don't have that. I'm not saying he's not good. He's awesome. But that team has been annoying over the last few years. He's currently 19th and points per game. He's right with, uh, a bunch of guys that we feel weird about, like Jefferson, Garrett Wilson. So very good. Just I hate to see games where they blow people out and he's not a part of it. Yeah. So, and he probably hates it too. George Pickens, two for 48. What in the world? And, and the thing making the first man out, the first man out, did you see that? Yeah. Yes. I mean, the kick was on the right and he was sprinting down the video. It was cool because I didn't realize, and I think most people don't realize when they're watching this video of how quick George Pickens left the field that the video watching the game is like in the, like in the stadium of the cowboys and it's like, as soon as it happens, they pay in the camera over and there's Pickens already. Would you rather have George Pickens or Parker Washington rest of the season? Park are easy. Because right now, George is, George is on pace for better numbers by a lot. It's just that the volatility feels somehow worse with him. Like, he's on pace for 1100 yards and 83 receptions, whereas Parker's on pace for 64 and 5,000. They're back to back. Writers, you were 19 and 20 on the season. Both of those guys are weird. But I'm with you. I'd rather have Parker. But Pickens is still putting numbers just not. He's not happy. I mean, as the capacity to throw a fit, LAM is not in this list just barely. Like LAM had, what, seven receptions, but I think maybe 30 more yards. It was, it was just a note. It didn't make sense. The fact that the Cowboys didn't put up a bajillion points with their wider sewers against the Cardinals is, is truly discussed here. That sound. Yeah. That's Trey Tucker. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. It took an extra week for us to be disciplined by, they scored a million points in one and Trey Tucker had zero catches. So, yeah, that sucks. Tyler Warren, Sam Laporta, Kyle Pitz, the, the rain, by the way, Pitz, I think had the highest like route share of the year, but it didn't matter. So I had, and Higby doing nothing. Just if you want to experience the pain, ladies and gentlemen, because I know a lot of it happened out there in the listener league, our fantasy footballers listener league. Here's what my roster was, guys, okay, quarterback, one more jacks of this. Oh, you guys, that's not a lot of points. Running back one. Jeremiah Love. Oh, injured. Two for two on injury. I got a Trey Tucker in there. Okay. And I got a, I had Kendrick Bourne in there. Oh, injured, injured, injured. Did you win? No. No. No. I, I am on pace to score 56 points. That's not a lot. No. No. Oh, by the way, are you worried about Tyler Warren, Tyler Warren? Yeah. Four for 18. I am. The plays. Again, I brought this up last week. Possession tied in, not an athletic freak. That team is circling the drain. Yeah. Um, they, they, what is Warren rest of your like tied in eight or something? Yeah. Loan. Loan tied in one. Would you rather have fan and a Warren rest of season? Lock him in your life. Oh. Oh. Yeah. Yeah. That's a good question. I don't know my answer. I, I lean fan and. Yeah. I'm, I'm going to go hurt. Did you mean to say, Fanon? I think I lean Warren. All right. I'd rather have the volume, even though it's not, I think I'll take a fan and just because he can actually give you explosive games. By the way, we have one dude in here who has Lamar Jackson, he's sitting over there in the corner. His name is Al Borland. If you want to, if you want to, if we want to really tell the people, so I am about the trade. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And then Al's team significantly, I traded him two stars, I traded him Lamar Jackson and Josh Jacobs. And so as soon as the suspension was over and now you might, you might have nobody. Well, look, here's what follow along at home, despite no Drake London, basically despite. No Lamar Jackson at all. Al needs like, what did I say, like 41 points between, yeah, 41 between JSN and DeAndre Swift So if you want to root for Al, that's what you do. If you want to root for, if you want to root for me, some one pain, it would be that they score like 35 because he would, he would like, he would not be here tomorrow. And I am very actively rooting against Al. Oh, is he the guy fighting for your median spot? Yes. Excellent. Tonight is entertaining. It should be a good game. Seattle Chicago. I can't wait to find out. I'm not sure Swift's going to do a lot on that Seattle. Yeah, I want to see if the players offense can show up against this defense in Seattle. Also for the record, I do not hold you responsible for the Lamar Jackson acquisition. But you knew what bad you were getting in with Joshua. Yeah. You know, I realized he was, you knew it was a risk. I knew the original. Pack your fan was a risk. Pack your fan. I was not aware of the additional. You should have done your phone calls, done homework. I should have. I'm going to go around. I've got boots on the ground in Wisconsin. That's on me. Yeah. All right. Wavers tomorrow. Big time waiver conversations. We're getting close to like fantasy trade deadlines in a few weeks as well. FAQs

Kyler Murray is not performing well this season, with analysis suggesting he is playing the worst football of his career. His EPA per dropback is at a career low, and he is struggling with consistency and efficiency.

There is speculation that the Vikings may trade for a new quarterback, but they would likely need to give up significant draft capital, especially after trading JJ McCarthy for a fifth-round pick. The move is seen as a potential solution to their ongoing quarterback issues.

Jonathan Taylor is seen as a strong option to build a team around, but many believe that a team built around a running back is generally a poor strategy. His impact could shift the team's foundation, but it doesn't guarantee a Super Bowl win.

Lamar Jackson dislocated his thumb during the game and will require surgery, potentially leading to an absence for the rest of the season. This is a significant blow to fantasy football, especially for teams relying on him.

Tyler Algier had a dominant performance with an 11-yard touchdown, but his role as a backup and the Cardinals' poor offensive environment make him a risky pick. He is not guaranteed to perform consistently.

Omar Cooper Jr. had a breakout game with multiple deep plays, but his performance has been sporadic and inconsistent. He is not a consistent fantasy option and may be a high-risk, high-reward pick.
