Week 8 Start Sit Advice (Part 2) | Sneaky Starts & Players to BENCH (10/30 Fantasy Football Podcast)

The podcast, hosted by Vladimir G2 and Kelly O'Grady, delivers a detailed fantasy football analysis centered on the upcoming NFC games, including Chicago vs. Seattle, Minnesota vs. Detroit, Atlanta vs. Tampa Bay, and Arizona vs. Dallas. The hosts evaluate player performance, injury impacts, and defensive matchups to guide fantasy lineup decisions. Key focus areas include quarterback viability—particularly questioning Caleb Williams’ consistency and favoring Kyler Murray due to matchup disadvantages—receiver potential with highlights on Jordan Mason, Justin Jefferson, and Kyle Pitts, and running back reliability amid injuries to Aaron Jones and Jeremiah Love. They stress situational flexibility, using target share data, recent performance trends, and defensive weaknesses to recommend flexible starts. The discussion also includes humor and engaging elements like a "creamy crispy apple cider refresher" cocktail recipe, blending entertainment with in-depth analysis. Overall, the hosts emphasize context-driven decision-making, cautioning against overvaluing individual players and instead prioritizing matchups, team trends, and injury reports to build resilient fantasy rosters. The show concludes with a reminder of its broader message: confidence and self-awareness are essential, both in football decisions and personal health, reinforcing the core theme of taking control.

Whatever's holding you back, hymns has a real plan for it. Be confident, be him. Hey, I'm Vladimir G2. And I'm Kelly O'Grady. And we're here to tell you about our new show, Straight Up. Every week, we're ditching the anchor desk to break down the story the internet can't stop talking about. And we'll have a cocktail recipe to match the mood. Straight Up is out now wherever you get your podcasts. This is Fantasy Football today from CBS Sports. Sweet play! Can you believe this? It's a no again. It's time to dominate your fantasy league. It's to the races, play stays on his feet. It's just going to get the distance. Now, here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath. It's Boogie! What's up, everyone? Happy Halloween to you! I'm Officer Rod Farmer here. For those of you who want to watch YouTube.com/ Fantasy Football today and Crazy Hot Dog Guy. Hello, Crazy Hot Dog Guy. Hello, Officer. I dropped my kids off at the bus today. Very good. My full Super Troopers costume. No, you did not. Yes, I did. So the bus driver not speed. I'm having a good time. It's Friday, October 30th. And we welcome you to Fantasy Football today, presented by hymns. Be confident. We have. I have no idea where Dave went. He's got something up his sleeve, I'm guessing. But anyway, well, anyway, Jamie, how are we doing today? Happy Halloween. It's a hot dog degree day. Yes, it is. And again, if you want to watch the show today, YouTube.com/Fantasy Football today. We have six NFC home games to get to. I am so excited about this late Chicago at Seattle. Minnesota, Detroit. Those two games we could spend the entire show on. Atlanta at Tampa Bay. Another great defense that's been killing fantasy players. Or like the NFL not kill. Oh, yeah, killing today is. Ready to bring David. Oh, yeah, it's week eight. And I am so excited about today. We've got so many games that we could spend time on. I am so excited to start the show today. Some of you might be noticing that I'm wearing glasses. I've had a problem. Something's wrong, but I swear I swear it's not pink eye. I swear. I swear. Oh, my gosh, dude, my mustache is falling off. That is awesome. All right, also we have Arizona Dallas Philadelphia Washington and the chargers at the Rams. All right, let's start out with last night's game. And I'll say this. Carolina car. Really awful, man. Ram. Repulsive offensive drives. Rod. Car ram. Rod. Green Bay 27. Carolina 19. You got to have to know super troopers today. Christian Watson went to the hospital. Came back. Had an amazing game. Christian Watson was an absolute G last night, I guess. Eight cash is 113 yards on 10 targets. But I think overall, how worried are we about this Panthers offense, Jamie, which really struggled late touchdown to Jalen Coker. And then thank you for that stupid fumble, Jalen Coker. Oh, my God. How annoying. But this is two weeks and over. They really couldn't protect Bryce. They've got Denver next week. They'll have Tampa Bay in Minnesota and then in weeks. I don't know. Like three or four weeks from now. But anyway, your thoughts on the Panthers. I was frustrating. You know, they've canalized at the end of the half in his half time interview of whatever you want to call it. You know, kind of addressed what the issues were. And I thought they did a little bit better job beginning Bryce on the move to get him out of the pocket a little bit. But it's bad. I mean, it's really that they're, you know, for this is where his size becomes a problem. Because when the pocket collapses, he's just, you know, there's nothing. So, you know, from Bryce's perspective, like he had a easy throw to Chuba Hubbard where he, you know, just sort of under threw it, which could have been another maybe 10 or 15 yards. Tommy Trembl had a bad drop. There's, there's just some things that play here that just make you a little bit concerned. So I think Bryce Young now becomes match up dependent. Coker is more, probably more of a borderline 2-3. And Terrible and my melon is probably just stuck as a number 2 receiver. I don't think you want to like panic sell those guys yet just because like you're selling them low. And there is some by-law opportunity here because clearly they're still going to be productive players. And we know that there's concentrated targets. Chuba is fine. I don't think you have to worry about him. Okay. Dave, people want to know where the holes in your sleeves and your socks. Oh, well, of course I have them. Do you really see? I love to show the whole. I love to show the holes in my clothing apparently. So yeah, I'm glad you were able to figure out who I am because sometimes people don't know. Oh, hold on, I'm getting a phone call. Hold on. Hello. Oh, hi Kyle, Brent. How are you? Oh, what's that? You're going to have me covered in chocolate syrup walking around Times Square. That sounds so great. Hey, I can't wait. Yeah. Yeah. See you on the peloton. Bye. Oh, my sorry. That was my new bus friend, Kyle Brent. Yeah. He doesn't have my phone number. We're not there yet. Well, you're doing the future. And this is what I am. I am future you. Future. This is what you heard. You didn't get that. Of course, of course he doesn't get that. He doesn't even know what super troopers is. His hat looks like something that a grandmother would wear while she's gardening her son hours at her day. He has no clue, but now he does. And yeah, of course, I've got holes. Showed you one. Here's here's another one. I slept in this four straight nights and I haven't showered since. Okay, what are your stupid takes on the on Josh Jacobs. He looked great last night, didn't he? Oh, one point nine yards per carry. I mean, I could have done that. Oh, that looks like something like that. No, I reject that. It'd repress it would be okay. Fine, fine, fine. You love the workload, but I don't know if I can do fancy analysis in your voice at him. You love the workload. You love the catches. You love the touchdowns. Everything else stinks. Packers need an offensive lineman. And when they when they finally get this offensive line working, then we'll have some decent games out of Jacobs. But running back with that type of workload, you're going to you're going to want to start that guy just because of that alone. And he's in a good offense. Yeah, sure is. And they still I mean, they must have run a ton of plays in this game, right? They ran 60s. They weren't 67 Carolina ran 70. So it was a good day for offense for the most part. You know, how would you rank Macmillan coca Jacob's rest of season? Jacobs, Macmillan, Azar, coca. You're that worried about coca? Yeah, not worried worried. I'm worried more about the offense. And what Jamie said is absolutely spot on. You just you just put two two other players that are in good spots or better. What'd you say? I mean, Jacobs is in a better spot than the two Panthers receivers right now. He is as long as the video doesn't come out. That's always going to hang over our heads. Tucker Kraft, another game with a low target share, six targets on 41 pass attempts, but he caught a touchdown. So you'll probably just keep starting him. But the only player that was started in like fewer leagues than I expected was Jalen coca. He was only started in 66% of leagues. I thought he would be a start this week. He's not even without the fumble. He really didn't have that good of a game. So kudos to those of you who doubted Jalen coca. All right. So that's that's pretty much it for Sunday for Thursday night football. What day is it anyway? It's it's almost afternoon. It's 850. This is going to be a mean show. All right. Sunday. We'll talk to you at 11 a.m. Eastern until 1 p.m. Eastern to answer your starter sit questions. Join us at youtube.com/fantasy football today YouTube.com/fantasy football today. And we've got two hours of just starts it. It's pretty fun. And we look forward to seeing you there. All right. Quarterback news. Not much with still Lamar Jackson practicing in full. Running back. Let's see. What like what are you expecting right now from the Cardinals backfield? We're going to talk about that game. But Jamie, how are you ranking the Cardinals backfield? Expecting Jeremiah love to play at this point. He's gotten into limited practices. So hopefully he's good to go. It's a good match up. So this might be one of loves better games that said. I think you just got to treat him as a flex or, you know, a low end number to running back at best. I would put him in sort of the zone of a night role. I guess if you want to call that and just keep Tyler Alger in the same spot. So we'll see if night has earned some reps based on what he's done in place of love. But I don't want to overvalue any of them or feel confident in any of them because it could get messy. Just noticing some other nuances of Dave's costume didn't realize the microphone was right in front of your face. Very good. Well, it's right in front of your face. That's true. Both. This is this is Adam Ezer. What do you think, Jamie? Think you can get to this in March. I can never get to a beard like March. No chance. Never. It's not going to look good. It's going to look disgusting speaking of disgusting as opposed to this, which looks great. It looks like a real man's beard. Both Tennessee running backs mispractice. That was interesting. I wasn't expecting power to mispractice. I assume he's okay. - I wonder if this is the prelude to him not playing this week. - Oh yeah, maybe. Trade time. Sequan Barclay mispractice again. Damian Pierce on IR. You guys prefer Elijah Mitchell or Jadon Blue if Barclay were out. - Mitchell, I've got, I have to pick one of these guys. You know, Blue is faster. It's Mitchell who was up last week and probably knows what he's doing. I would imagine that they will have Mitchell get more touches. So I reluctantly choose Mitchell. - All right. - And the one thing that matters here is the passing down work because they're not gonna be very successful running the ball just based on what they've shown us and Washington's run defense is actually a decent. And so that's one thing that Tanner McKee has done. He's thrown to his running backs. - Bucky Irving was resting yesterday, did not practice. Kenneth Gamel was limited. Zach Sharman, a practice in full. Jadarian Price was limited. I'll ask you guys pretty soon. The first game we're talking about is Chicago Seattle. So we'll talk about those running backs there. RJ Harvey was limited Dylan Samson practice in full. Trevian Henderson mispractice with an illness. Usually guys with illnesses play. Common non-guy mispractice. That was only their first practice of the week though. Aaron Jones was limited after missing practice on Wednesday. He was limited on Thursday. Bruce Hall was limited. Braille and Alan practice in full. At wide receiver, AJ Brown may not play. So he's got a knee injury. He also said he's not all the way back from the ankle injury. Sometimes he's got the burst. Sometimes he doesn't. I think we have seen that on tape. But AJ Brown. - Well, I was thirsty. Oh, so now it's funny because I'm having a drink. You know, you guys, you guys are so immature. - This is a bad impression now. First of all, I pretty much never drink on the show. And that's what I do. - That's exactly like me. Anyway, AJ Brown may not play. We talked about that game yesterday, Dave. If he doesn't play, do we going back to pop Douglas who was bad last week? Like what are we doing here? - I don't know if there's anybody that you can feel good about other than Hunter Henry, who I'd feel a lot better about. And you could take the chance as a bi-week receiver on DiMario Douglas, on Eftimchism III. Those would be the guys that I think would see an uptick in targets. Those are the guys that had some uptick in targets when AJ Brown was out. Eli Raird and would be a streaming titan if you're desperate to. - Yeah, but that's a guy I think you just stash in deeper leagues and titan premium leagues. I guess you could start in those leagues too. - Okay. - I mean, he's beginning opportunities and now you're taking another piece off the field. - Yeah. Josh McDaniels talked this week about how the titans are so versatile in the offense and they're just not going to get away with it. And when they play with two titans, defenses, not every defense plays against two titans the same way. And it actually like opens things up for their offense. It makes matchups a little bit easier for Drake May to exploit because they figure out how each defense responds to two titans. And because they're so versatile Henry and Raird and they can find openings against pretty much any defense. I think they'll find openings against Miami's defense. You kind of want to root for AJ Brown to not play if you're starting Hunter Henry. - If you're starting Hunter Henry. - But what about our last, we gotta get going here. What if you're starting Drake May? - Yeah, I know. - If AJ Brown doesn't play, you guys gonna. - Yeah, so you're still starting Drake May. - You're gonna downgrade him though? - Yeah a little bit. It's not like AJ Brown's been carrying him, but it's still a little bit of a downgrade. - He'll still be a top five QB. - This just, I think further speaks to Ramandre Stevenson and maybe even Trevion Henderson having big games. - All right. - I would think so for Ramandre. - Oh, carnaltate. Carnaltate's missed two practices with a shoulder injury. He may not play. Guys, if Carnaltate doesn't play, you're gonna sit, cam ward. Okay. - Will Sid was admitted with injury. You thought that was funny? - Of course. - That's hilarious. (laughs) - It's a pretty sad indictment on the Titans that they traded Jeffrey Simmons and then didn't really say that cam ward's the face of the franchise. - Michael Wilson, limited with injured ribs. Let's see, DJ Moore's still in the non-contact Jersey. Stefan DeG's practice in full. Traylon Burke's mispractice and that actually could be kind of impactful for N20 Williams, I think maybe. So Traylon Burke's someone who was getting some targets and that's just like a one less mouth defeat if he doesn't play. Jalen Waddle still out. - And O'Connor. - Chess O'Connor was out. - No, no, no. - You said benefit N20 Williams. - Yeah, yeah. - Let's say Jalen Waddle still out with a chest injury. Lab McConkey practice. - So he practiced? - He practiced? - Yes. - Okay. - Lab McConkey still practicing. - And you have RJ Harvey? - Yes. RJ Harvey was limited. - Yeah, sorry. Lab McConkey is still in the concussion protocol. Still no Devante Smith or Don Tevian Wicks. George Pickens limited. Chris Godwin mispractice. I don't know if there was a rest or what. Didn't see a designation. Didn't see a reason for it. And Ameca Bucca is still limited. We're trying to work his way. Ameca Bucca seems to be making progress and Tyler Warren limited again. All right. We got to get one question for each game. Let's get to it right now. Chicago's at Seattle. Dave, who are you confidently starting in this game? - I am confidently starting Jackson Smith and Jigba. - I am reasonably okay with both Luther Burton and Colston Loveland. I am still starting but nervous about DeAndre Swift. Everybody else I'm jittery on. Did I forget anybody? I don't think I did. Seattle DST, I'm starting. - What about a Seattle running back? - Was that a wolf or a dog? I don't know. - And he's wolf. - No, it's my hot dog. - I am not confidently starting Zach Sharman A or Emmanuel Wilson or potentially Judarian Price. - Jamie, Minnesota's at Detroit. What's a tougher call this week? Jamison Williams or Jared Goff? - Jamison Williams. 'Cause if I need to find a Jared Goff replacement, there are guys out there. It's hard to find a Jamison Williams replacement. - Like if AJ Brown were out, you wouldn't start Damario Douglas over Jamison Williams, would you? - No, I would not go that route. - Okay. Yeah. - But this is gonna be a tough week for Jamo though. He doesn't have a good history here against Minnesota. - No, he doesn't and this is a tough week for anyone trying to evaluate this game, I think, because if you look at, I could just summon up like this. You look at Jared Goff six games against Brian Flores, three good games, three bad games. And that's how I feel like I could go either way. I could go either way. - And I knew that you did feel that way and I feel that way too. And so that's why I put it right to Scott Turner on the show we've been doing. And he seems to have optimism that Detroit will work things out and have a pretty good game. - Right, he said that if they pick up the protections that they should be able to get some big plays. - And for what it's worth that offensive line has been playing well, they are number one in least pass rush pressure allowed against the blitz this year. That being said, look at the defenses that had played against and those defenses, I don't know if anybody blitzes quite like the Vikings blitz. I mean, the Vikings are blitzing, I think their lowest rate of the year at them is 58% of the snaps. And most teams blitz, like 30% of the snaps, some are even lower than that. And so I would expect them to blitz a ton. And that means that Goff is gonna have to get the ball quick, but I think he knows it's coming and I think they feel better about their offensive line. So I'm not ready to rush Jared Goff into my lineup and feel good about it. And you're starting to say around you're starting to give, it's Jamal that I still have as a top 24 receiver, a little bit because of FOMO because we know one play can be awesome. And also because I don't know how many other receivers, I can look at and say, that's a surefire number two wide receiver this week. And so Jamal kind of tops that list for me, ahead of guys like, and we can disagree all day long. If you want, Omar Cooper, Trey Tucker, Mecko Buka, DJ Moore, Richie Rice, the Steelers receivers, like all those guys are behind Jamal, because Jamal just had his crazy upside. - All right, I mean, it's just hard with a team that's given up four touchdown passes and 14 game. - I get it. - I get it. - One as big as I as like massive upside. - Sure, I understand that too, but this is, let's give credit where it's due. This is a really good Detroit offense. And when they played against them, what we referenced that game last year, Goff was red hot going into that game. The offensive line for Detroit was not quite as red hot going into that game. And Goff was really flustered by the pass rush. So that's the thing, Jared Goff went into that game on an absolute heater, like 380 yards and three touchdowns in straight games, more straight, great games. He scored like 4.1 points against Minnesota. Before that, he scored 22 or 23 points against Minnesota in the earlier matchup. Anyway, all right, that's, we're going to get into that game in a little bit. Let's take a quick break here. We'll come back. We've got four more, one question for each games. And we're going to take a break right now. - This is one of my favorite times of the year. It's the fall. We've got football. That's great. But there's another fall staple that you need to try. And that would be a creamy crispy apple cider refresher. And make it even better by mixing in a caramel apple five hour energy shot. You're going to give it more of that craveable flavor. The creamy crispy apple cider refresher. It's becoming a go-to treat this season. And it's nostalgic. It's bold. And it's got a modern twist. So what are we doing here? Well, you pour a glass of cider over ice. You top it with some cold foam, a dash of cinnamon. And then again, throw in that single caramel apple five hour energy shot. So much flavor. It's like a caramel apple. And we all love those. You have got to try this. And the best part is it only takes seconds to whip together right on your kitchen counter. Make your own tasty fall refresher at home. Get caramel apple five hour energy shot. She shots online at fivehourenergy.com or on Amazon and in stores now. Jamie. All right. Can we get to the bottom of this? 'Cause I still see it's 15 games. I don't know where you're seeing 14 games. What's 15 games? So they played six games this year, right? Who? Yes. Okay. So that's two touch, three touch on passes and six games this year. Uh-huh. Correct? No. Three. I thought. I thought you said two. Okay. Okay. Then we go to last year. Uh-huh. And it's. Oh. Oh, I'm sorry. I see what you were mistaken. It was. You're saying four in the last 14. Got. You're right. You had two. Two Washington quarterbacks. No, no, no, no, no. I was going 15 games. Five and 15. Five and 15. Four and 14. Five and 15. Yeah. All right. Jamie. Atlanta's at Tampa Bay. Would you start a Buccaneers wide receiver in this game? The Falcons. Twenty second against receivers. Most of the guys that do well are like must start guys though. Would you start a Bucks receiver? If a book is healthy, 100% if not, no. All right. So you were. So like the reference of what they've said, like I would start a Bucco over J-Mo. Easily. If he's healthy. But not Godwin. If a Bucca's out. No, you just can't trust Godwin. I think at this point, like you're treating him as a. I just. I don't have a J-Brown. I have, you know. A lot of it on a buy. Neighbors on a buy. And Godwin's on my bench. And I don't have anybody off waivers that I can bet. You know, I couldn't get Omar Cooper or Concepcion or Doug. Like, you know, these guys that we just talked about this past week. Like. His target chair, as we saw was awesome. And I think he'll be better than he's been because we just didn't see it last week. I think we might have. So I would take a chance on him. I think, you know, if you're watching sports lines rank of 31. With a Bucca playing is too high for me. 31 is probably the range for Godwin without a Bucca. Okay. Phil Adolf. Oh no, Arizona is at Dallas. Starter sit Michael Wilson, Dave. I'd start him. I actually like him a lot this week. Dallas's defense is terrible. He's still going to get a lot of targets. Hopefully the Cowboys don't double team him the same way other defenses have. And. I think that there's actual optimism for Wilson this week because of the high scoring nature of the game. Okay. Michael Wilson or Mecca Bucca if a book a place Wilson for me. A book for me, but it's close. Michael Wilson or JMO. Wilson. Wilson. All right. Phil Adolfie is at Washington. Who are you confidently starting in this game? Dave Richard. Phil Adolfie at Washington. Jane Daniels. Rashad White is a low end RB two. I guess that's some confidence. I like to find digs a lot. I like Chigokoko is a starting tight end. I really like what I saw in the game that Terry McClure and got hurt in the game before that two when McClellan wasn't hurt. And then for Philadelphia, I don't even know who's like playing for Philadelphia to feel good about any of those guys. You know, Goddard is a low end starter, I guess. I think this game you want to sneak you play is the commander's defense. Yeah, I think this game is a. It's like the Pittsburgh Cleveland game. We got a lot of guys that are, you know, going to be asked about on Sunday, you know, kind of questionable starts. Antonio Williams and I mean, you guys have Stefan digs pretty high. I could. I see it, but he's not happy. He's one of the most inefficient white receivers in football right now. O'Connor and then I would say McClellan too. You know, I think people are going to be excited to start him, but you know, you can't get too excited. I'll be a top 30 receiver if there's no demand. And then the chargers are at the Rams. Who's a better start assuming he plays Lad McHonkey or Blake Korum? Got this question a lot yesterday. I go lad. Same. Yeah, I got a lot to say about Blake Korum and the usage there. Me too. Me too. And you know, are we going to say the same thing? I mean, basically, it was like. Well, you would know Dave, you're a future Adam, so you know what he said. I do. Of course, I was great usage for him. It was closer to a 50/50 split in week seven than it had been other than there was like one other game against a giant, I think, where it was close to a 50/50 split. But there's really no indication that's going to be like that again. So. Well, would you like to know splits are really like? I know what the splits are like. Well, you know what the splits are like for the whole game. You don't know how they actually div it up between halves. You do because I think I sent you that I do. No, I looked, but go ahead. You can talk about it. Go ahead. So what's let's break everything down by half for the Rams and generally speaking for the Rams, they've used chironoliums as like a 70/30 lead back in the first half. In plenty of other games, the times where that hasn't happened, it has actually been in the last two weeks in the first half in their last two games. It's been a lot closer to 60/40. It's actually been like maybe like 57/43 something like that. And then in the second half, if the Rams are, you know, blowing somebody out, then you're going to see a lot more quorum. If the Rams are in a tight game or they're playing from behind, you're going to see a lot more chiron. And that's been consistent all season long. And this definitely feels like a game where no offense, all six Chargers fans that are out there, but this feels like a game that the Rams are going to blow out the Chargers. And if that's the case, chiron won't play much in the second half and quorum will and that makes quorum in interesting flex play based on that game script where he gets more in the second half. And that's again, right around 50/50 in the second half of their two blowout wins. I think it was pretty close even in the first half of this game, future Adam. So you can look at it. No, it was 58/42 last week. But that is a lot closer than what it usually is. It's usually, I said it was a lot closer. Yeah, you know, we never, we've never worked great listeners. Were we? No, but I don't understand why you even had to go through this because you're just repeating everything I said, you're just being me. And no, you were, no, you were giving me a whole new leader of cola. Let's go to Chicago at Seattle. Okay, now we've got Halloween name of the game for every day. Here's your spooky scary name for Chicago and Seattle. Sam, I can't believe you. I can't believe you interrupted yourself. Sam, darn, there's a killer chasing me, old. I can't believe you interrupted yourself for that. Also. Wow. Booper cup. Okay. That's better. Stat that might surprise you is the bears allow the most yards per play in the NFL and the most passing yards per attempt in the NFL. But we'll get to the Seahawks offense in a minute, Jamie. When you look at Caleb Williams here, the Seahawks third best against quarterbacks. The Patriots were six best against quarterbacks going into last week and Caleb lit them up. Seattle hasn't allowed 200 passing yards to a quarterback yet. Caleb has back to back 300 yard games. The Seahawks allow by far the fewest yards per attempt in the NFL. Caleb Williams is fourth best in yards per attempt. But Drake May and Brock Pertier are both better than him and they both struggled against Seattle. The Seahawks have eight interceptions in seven games. Caleb Williams has one interception in four games. I am so confused. What do I do here with Caleb Williams? I would try to sit him. You mentioned Brock Pertier. He barely got over 20 fantasy points. Marcus Mario is the only one that's had like a decent game, big game against them, which is clearly a surprise when you look at some of the quarterbacks that they faced. I think you look at Caleb Williams and yes, he's played well. But in two of the four games, he's been under 20 fantasy points. So he could still play well and they could still win the game. And he could still have a mediocre fantasy performance. And so I think you just have to dial back expectations. I would prefer Jacobi Perseg, you know Smith, Kirk Cousins, a lot of quarterbacks we spoke about this week. If you don't want to make a roster move, I think you kind of just expect around 18 fantasy points for Caleb. I think that's fair. So I would not want to start him. But as you hear me say a lot, I also would not make a drastic roster move to go pick up a quarterback for one week. I think he'll be okay. I just don't think he'll be and this will not be one of his best games this season. David, just in general about the Bears offense. You know, look, I think about the Ram Seahawks games last year and the Rams like lit them up. But the Niners on the other hand, they couldn't do anything. They had absolutely horrible games. And then the Niners this year had a big passing big game against them in terms of points. But when you look at teams that have done well against Seattle this year, so much of it is short fields. Like the Seahawks turned the ball over. They give up these short fields. That's what happened against Washington. That's what happened against San Francisco. And that does happen. Sam Donald throws a ton of interceptions. But you know, I guess I'm like, how confident are you in the Bears offense overall? And especially Luther Burton, it seems like I think everyone's going to start the Andre Swift. They're just aren't enough good running backs. Even though we saw what they did to Ken Walker last week at Seattle. But it seems like you guys are pretty confident in Luther Burton. So give me your thoughts on that whole thing. More so and more so and full PPR than half a non PPR. When the Seahawks play two very specific styles of defense. Most of the time last week they changed it up against my homes. But I think that was because it was my homes. And again, it's cover six. It's cover three. It's zone heavy defense. And when Caleb Williams has had those looks. Luther Burton has led the Bears in target for out run rate and yards for out run rate. And they've been good numbers too. So I would imagine that burden is still going to get a lot of looks. There also could be an uptick and playing time form because the Bears can't use 13 personnel reliably anymore with Cole commit on the shelf. I don't know how much they're going to be in 12 personnel because I don't know how much they want to put Sam Raus out there on the field. These are rookie. He's messed up a few times this year. Maybe they have another tight end that I'm not thinking of that they could use in place. But I'm not going to get that deep with it. I just think Luther Burton is a special weapon. that the bear has been using and should continue to use. And Lovelin's in the same vein. He's not quite as explosive against those cover shells that Luther Burton is. Although since Caleb has come back, it's a really small sample size, but against cover, I think it's cover six. He's just been outrageously high in terms of his target for a run rate, yards for a run rate. I think it's even been higher than Burton's against that coverage. I wrote about it this week in the matchup preview. I'm going to start those guys because I think that they're capable of making some plays and not getting completely shut down. This isn't like the Chiefs offense last week where they didn't have a lot of explosive elements to their passing game. I think Chicago will have to lean on them and I think Ben Johnson will find creative ways to get those guys to the ball. Yeah, but like Tramick Bride, eight catches, 41 yards, and a touchdown on 10 targets. That's not really such an encouraging game. George Kiddell, would you be OK with that downline minus the touchdown from Colson Lovelin in PPR, I bet you would have not. But I'm just saying like they did a good job against him. George Kiddell, five catches for 24 yards on six targets. Travis Kelsey, four catches for 44 yards on eight targets. Third best against tight ends. Hunter Henry or Colson Lovelin? I go Lovelin. I'm making that decision in at least two leagues and it's Henry for me. You think that maybe split him up, maybe split the decisions? No, especially VJ Browns out. But even if VJ Brown plays, I mean, Henry's just on a roll right now. So yes, Lovelin's playing well, but so is Henry. And then matchups much easier for Henry. Why would you even question it? I have a note from my 2025 documents that Sam Darnold, when he faced teams that were bottom 10 against opposing quarterbacks, he scored 19.8, 35.6, 35.2, and 21.7 fantasy points. He does pretty well in good matchups. The Bears have allowed 25.1 or more fantasy points through three straight quarterbacks. Jordan Lovelin, Michael Pentax and Drake May. I think he's at the tail end of the streaming quarterbacks this week. Like is it crazy to start him over K the Williams? No, I think I actually have him back to back. You know, look, Darnold has struggled, but you look who he has struggled against and it makes sense. These defenses are very good that he's played. The turnovers are a problem. And whether Simmons plays or not is going to probably determine just how much better this Bears defense is in the pressure that he'll face. But I think you're just looking at it. They also added a piece, let's not forget, Quentin Nelson's probably going to play for the Seahawks because he was straighter looking up in the week that he should be good to go. So I think that's a boost for Darnold. And nobody at this point is stopping JSN. At least nobody that you're going to say on the bare side of things like, oh, they're going to shut him down. So there's the floor of what the production could be. And then if he could find somebody else to make plays for him, that's always kind of the issue. But that was kind of the issue last year too. So I think you just look at Darnold as not somebody that's safe right now, but we talked about this. And I know I said on Tuesday that I had him as on the drop list and I took him off before the story was published. I think just looking at it, the stretch of games that are coming up for Darnold, if you want to pivot to somebody, maybe you don't start in this week, but again, by a certain issue. His next, I think, three or four games are very favorable. And maybe they start to have a little bit more success with better protection up front. So he's not bad this week, if you're really stuck. I saw one question in the chat per set or Darnold. It's not a bad question, I would go per set, but it's close. - Yeah, actually looking at Sam Darnold's schedule right now. Six of his next seven games are against teams that are currently 23rd or worse against quarterbacks. However, bold take here. Dude's got eight interception is the last five games. I wouldn't mind pick it up Drew Lockett as Super Flex League. It's unprofessional how much he's turning the ball over right now. - They're not benching Sam Darnold. He would have to have way more interceptions for them to even think about Drew Lockett in five games. - It's going to be worse than Washington, he had two, which were bad. - It doesn't matter. It does not matter. The matchups, in terms of interceptions, it just doesn't matter. Like you cannot turn the ball over that much. What are they, they're four and three. They lose this game to go to four and four. And he's turned-- - Do we know if all those interceptions are on Sam or some of them off tip passes right now? - I don't remember tip passes, but he threw a terrible pick in the end zone last week before halftime. - Yes. - Yep. - All right. Well, anyways, this is the crazy Azur take from the real Adam Azur. So start JS and then-- - What are you talking about? - Yeah, like is there a scenario where you're going to start a Seahawks running back? It's a great matchup. Well, unless Simmons plays, then it might not be. Dave-- - The only way you're starting any of them is if two are out. And then you have the last one standing because that's what's been the formula for success for Wilson. Three of his last four games, he's been very good. But it's because he's gotten 20 or more touches in three of his last four games. Like, this could be an ugly split. So I think you're looking at it. If you have to pick one, I would lean Charbonne just because of the touchdown potential. But at this point, like you need to see at least one game worth of, okay, how are these guys going to be used to maybe feel confident moving forward about any of them? At this point, like I have to make a couple of tough decisions in a few leagues about replacing kickers. And I don't want to drop Fair Baron, for example. So I'm dropping in manual Wilson, if they're all active. And if he has the best game, I'll deal with the consequences. But at some point, he's going to be third, and it might be this week. - All right, we'll go to the chat here. DeAndre Swift or Chase Brown? - I moved Brown ahead of Swift with the Simmons frame. - Yeah, and if Menongue, I plays, then that's even more reason to do it. He didn't practice in their first practice of the week, but it's a really tough matchup. And Swift's only averaging 4.1 yards per carry. He's getting a lot of catches, though. Caleb, or Jacobi Berset, we answered that. It's Berset, Charbonne, Mason, or Aaron Jones, PPR. - Mason, Mason. Jones practice has a limited, got a limited practicing. - Yeah. Flex, Casey Concepcion, Luther Burton, Jeremiah Love, Blah, blah, blah, is it Burton here? - It's Burton. - The Conkey, or Burton, you'd go, Burton. - Burton. - Burton. - Burton or Jamo? - Burton. - I don't know how to interpret this one. Who is the biggest weenie this week? Love, Linda, Strange. - As the weenie expert, I would say that Love, Linda's still a little bit safer than Strange, but it would not shock me if Strange is better. - Burton or Pickens? - Pickens. - Pickens. - Pick two, Breeshal, Jordan, Mason, Zach, Charbonne. - Sit, Charvers, too. - Love, Linda, Hockinson. - I'd go Hockinson. I'd go Love, Linda. - Love, Linda, Porta, or Henry? - I'd go Love, Linda, Porta, Henry for me. - Darnled, Mahomes, or Aaron Rodgers? - Darnled. - I'd give Darnled a try, yeah. - I'd answer my question right now. - I think we just did. - Yeah, it's, it's a, Love, Linda. And, yeah, it was a super troopers reference, so thank you very much for that. Okay, we're gonna take a break. When we come back, I know you're dying to know the Halloween name of the game for Detroit and Minnesota, but you're also dying to know which offense is gonna be better in this game. Great matchup for the bad offense, terrible matchup for the great offense. How will it play out? We'll tell you, when we come back. There's the guy you are right now, and there's the guy you know you could be. Hymns is here to help you close that gap and get there. We're getting into the game I'm looking forward to the most, I think just from a fantasy standpoint, just to see what the heck happens here. Minnesota at Detroit. Halloween name of the game. Jared, golf with their heads. For Aaron Bones. - Aaron Bones was better. - What's that? - Lead with your second one next time. Your second ones have been there in the first. - All right, you should have seen me typing these last night and just cracking up at how not funny I am. - Start of the game. The Lions allow seven more PPR fantasy points per game to tight ends than any other team. - It's amazing. - The only team that allows more points to quarterbacks than the Lions due to tight ends is the Lions. So it's a great, great batch up for every Minnesota Viking. So Dave, are you more optimistic about the Vikings or the Lions this week? - I guess I'm a little more optimistic about the Lions offense, which is backwards. But I think the Lions defense got better last week and the run defense has actually gotten better over the last couple of weeks. They're gonna get Kirby Joseph back, I believe. And I am not a fan of how Kyle and Murray has been playing this year. And that makes me nervous for the upside for Justin Jefferson. for Jordan Addison, it does not make me nervous for TJ Hockinson because Hockinson has been one of those guys for Kyler Murray. Kyler just seems to be all too interested in getting the ball out quick. And if he's doing that, that means it's short throw to TJ Hockinson. I think the Lions will find ways to pressure Kyler Murray. And it makes me nervous about just how many points the Vikings will put up. And it's why I can't rate Jordan Mason higher than where I have him. And I kind of am ranking Justin Jefferson based more on name than how he could really. What is sealing really is because I think Kyler holds him back. So I think in the spirit of your question, more optimistic about the Vikings because I'm more pessimistic about the Lions. Because this is not going to be a great game for the Lions. Who's going to win? This could be a great game to the Vikings. Lions win? Lions win. I think the Lions win, but I think this is a low scoring game. Right. It could be like a 24/17 game and it wouldn't surprise anybody. So I have a lot of golf. I haven't superflexed League and I can't do anything about that. Two other leagues. I'm going to sit him for um. cousins. And I'm not sure if I'm going to sit him in the other league, I might just start him. But his six games against Flores in six points per passing touchdown leagues, 16.3, 24.8, 22.8, 11.2, 23.4, and 4.1 fantasy points. 4.1 being the most recent. So it's just really tough. I mean, I watched all this tape and I tried to figure. I think one thing that stood out to me was that even last year when he scored the 23.4 fantasy points, a lot of it was late in the game, I think, with them trailing by double digits. And that was when James and Williams got a touchdown. So it wasn't even that good of a game. And that kind of led me to. I think I want to sit him if I can, but not for just anyone, but for cousins in this particular case. I think the average is a fair brometer for him. It's 17.1 points. Like that's the range. I don't think he gets over 20. But also, like even if he does, the good games against the Troy'd have been 22-23 points. The idea of golf scoring like 28 points and throwing three touchdowns, it seems pretty unrealistic. So it's not. Right, where do you get that from cousins or for a set or genome? Yeah, you definitely could. You definitely could. You're going to start Gibbs. You're going to start St. Brown. James and Williams, great stuff last week. 10 yard A dot, two end zone targets and two straight games. I love it when he has a lower A dot. I hate when they use them as a field stretcher. The target share was terrific, but it typically isn't. This is like, yeah, I mean, this one gives me total fits. We talked about it at the top of the show. I did one question for each game, so I won't waste too much time on it. But let's talk about La Porta versus Hawkinson. Well, Jamie, who's the best quarterback in this game and who's the best tight end in this game? I mean, obviously, golf is the best quarterback in this game because Kyler has not shown you anything yet. Would not surprise me if Kyler is better just because of who each quarterback is facing. So it's a leap of faith to say, I'm going to start Kyler Murray over Jaregoff. That said, you alluded to this and Dave is right. They looked better last week against Jordan Love. That's not something I think a lot of people expected because of how the Detroit defense is played. Brian Branch returns last week. You get Kirby Joseph back this week. That's going to improve any defense when you get players back that caliber. Again, they struggle with tight ends. Even when those guys are on the field last year, not to the same extent. So I think you just buy into what Hawkinson has done. Two of his last three games. He's been amazing. The focal point of the passing game had 13 targets, 13 catches in the game. Last week, he scores a touchdown, but it was only four catches, 35 yards. So you're just taking a chance on the match up here and hoping that he comes through. I don't know what to make of the La Porta, Jamison Williams first game after a buy after what exactly happened in a very similar situation a year ago from a Jamison Williams perspective that they came off the buy and it was starting to feature Jamison a lot more. Was it the La Porta complaints about a contract and they were just going to say, "FU, we're not going to give you chances to make plays here." That would be stupid, but what was the reason why he was so uninvolved? So now you're facing this defense where your golf gets a ball a quick that should benefit La Porta. I'm still a little bit nervous because not only did it not benefit La Porta last week, you also talking about a defense. Clearly if they're not giving a passing touchdowns to quarterbacks, they're not allowing touchdowns to anybody that's catching the ball as well. So they're not one in terms of fewest fantasy points allowed to the position. I'm very concerned about La Porta and this is a La Porta manager. So I would start Henry over him. I would start Hawkinson over him. I don't think we're getting a great game from all of these guys. The only one that I have the most faith in is the best one, which is I'm on Ross Ambrek. Dave, anything to add or should we just answer some chat questions? The only thing I would add is that when golf has been pressured or blitzed this year, La Porta has been up there in his target for route run rate, his yards for route run. I think what happened last week had nothing to do. Well, maybe it had something to do with this comment, I guess. I went back and looked. He did a ton of chipping and that's when a tight end helps the tackle block somebody and then he runs around after. Usually it's a really short route and Jared golf was just attacking downfield a bunch last week against Green Bay. The kind of thing that you would almost expect Carolina to do last night, but they didn't do very much of it. And I can't help but think that golf won't have that same kind of time this week and he's going to need somebody to get the ball out quick to and it would make sense for that to be La Porta. It would make sense. It's going to be St. Brown and Gibbs more than anybody else, but La Porta might be third on the packing order there. At least that's what the track record says for Jared golf this season. All right. And I would say the last thing I would add is that I think we'll know more about Minnesota's defense because they played the Packers and Week 1 Packers scored 22 points, which isn't great. They had kind of a fluke 80 yard Christian Watson touchdown that I think could have been called back and then they played Chicago in the rain and held them the three, rain and the wind, terrible weather, hung the three points and then Tampa Bay, Miami, New Orleans and the Colts. So huge test for them. We'll see how it goes. Now let's read some questions here. One more thing. It looks like Kirby Joseph's practice when it was open, but there's not he's not necessarily guaranteed to play. So that we need does come back that we'll help this defense get even better, but really you have to be impressed with how they did against Green Bay and you know, they might need to give an assist to the refs a little bit in that game last week, but Detroit's defense does seem to be getting a little bit better. Go for a percent. Brissette Kobe. Hawkinson or Luther Burton. Burton. Jordan Mason or Jeremiah Love. Mason of Jones is out. Agreed. I might take Mason either way. It's full PPR Mason. I don't think Mason has a catch this year. Yeah. That's true. Three times. It's a risk to go with Jeremiah. Jones. Aaron Jones Tony Paul. Oh god. Yeah. I shortchanged the Minnesota running backs. I'm sorry. I forgot about them. We'll go back to them. Aaron Jones, Tony Pollard or Dylan Samson. Pollard. TP assuming he's, you know, active. That's kind of important. Caleb Williams or Jared Goff. Four point. Goff. I could go Goff. Or drop one of them for Gino or Kyler. I would not drop either one of them. Goff or Dak. Dak. Dak Prescott. Goff or Rogers. Goff. Agreed. Gamer Eric asked Jared Goff or Kirk Coffins. See? No, he got it right. Yeah. I go with Coffins. Yes. Kirk Cousins. La Porta or Strange. I still go La Porta, but that's close. That's a supporter for me. And then Mr. Viper says, Sam La Porta Geist. That's good. That's good. Rashad White or Jamal? I'd go White. I'd go Jamal. And this question start percent over Goff. So I am sorry that I forgot about the Minnesota running backs. Jamie, how are you approaching Jones and Mason right now? I think Mason is a good low end number to running back. If Jones is out, I think it's going to get a little messy if Jones plays because, like you said, the work in the passing game will definitely not be there for him now. In the five games that Jones missed last year, Mason averaged 13.5 PPR points per game. So hopefully, that's what we're getting if not more against Detroit. And the run defense has been something that's been somewhat consistent for them. Obviously, everything in the passing department has been miserable. So you're going to need Mason to probably catch a couple of passes if Jones doesn't play. Will they allow that to happen or will they use DJ Dallas or Clayborn unless I'm missing somebody else in their backfield? I would guess that those other guys get chances, but I still think if there's no Jones, you're looking at close to 20 total touches. This has been kind of the problem for Kyler also as they've been very conservative because they know they don't have to score a lot of points based on how their defense plays. They may have to score points in this game. All right. And that's going to do it for that game. Start the Minnesota DST. They are good to create every single week, even though it's a tough matchup. Next game, Atlanta at Tampa Bay. Halloween team name of the game. Chucky Irving. Okay, thank you. Thank you. No, your face is what's funny, not your expression. You got to sell it. So are you saying dressed up for the mailbag? Yeah, sure. I mean, it's like in an hour. So I might as well. You're not going with the low-hanging fruit of a mecha boo. Oh, that's a great one. There you go. Great one. Good job. And anybody has any in the chat, you know, feel free to fire away. Todd Bowles of the dungeon. Not bad. Look, you got peace on. You got London. You can't all be a boo. Oh, you can want to talk more Jimmy about Kyle Pitsy. his history against Steve and he's tied in three for you. Yeah, you can, uh, I got to find it for a second, so Dave, he's a great history against his team. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I would throw out their last meeting just because that was a game without Drake London. And maybe any other game that he had against them were Drake London didn't play. I would rather just lean on how he's being used in the Atlanta offense over the last three weeks. This is something that we, we noticed pretty quickly. He's being used like a short area tight end and, and as a red zone threat too. And I don't think you're going to be able, look, I, we're starting Beach on Robinson, but I don't think you beat Tampa by running the ball like crazy. You're going to have to put the ball in the air. And Kyle Fitz is never getting double team, not even in the red zone. That's been part of the reason why he's been getting some targets down there. I like him a lot as a, like a must start fantasy tight end. And you know how I felt about him coming into the year at him. I did not like him at all, but this new role does seem to be fitting him nicely. And as long as he's got it, let's roll with it. So in the last five meetings, at least at least 12.9 PPR points in every game. And sticks touchdowns in his last five games against him. I'm going to look and see how many of those games London did not play in. He obviously played in like a majority. I would think he played in a majority of them. Just on London, I mean, obviously you're going to start him. The Tampa Bay has been so good against number one receivers. They've held both bangles receivers, both packers receivers, CD lamb, who played about half the snaps, both Panthers receivers to 11.7 or fewer PPR fantasy points. And only one of them scored more than nine fantasy points. But it's also weird that they've actually given up 20 or more points to five wide receivers this year. It just hasn't been the guys you expect. But there's an start to on dots. Big don't show on dots. I'm just saying if London doesn't have a good game, you know, it don't freak out because this matchup is tough. They actually have struggled though against tight ends. The bucks they give up the eighth most fantasy points to tight ends. I would like to see a higher target share for Kyle pits. Only one game this week of this year, I think, with a target share over over 18% but you get in the production. So we'll take that. We'll start him over like that's good. Hawkinson and LaPorta and Love Pits. Yeah. The only tight ends I would start over in our hours and we're bright. That's it. I'm going to have to make a choice of LaPorta versus Pits. I know that Jamie will come out on Pits on that. I'll think about that one. For the last five games that Pits is playing against Tampa, Drake London's been there. Cool. So that's pretty cool. Yeah. It's a feel good week for Kyle Pits. And Penox is playing well. Unfortunately, this team has been like a quarterback slayer. So Jordan Love, Dak Prescott, Joe Burrow, Bryce Young, they all had their worst or their second worst games of the season against the Buccaneers. Can't trust Baker Mayfield right now. We can trust Bucky Irving. He's a must-start guy. And Jamie said earlier that a Mecca Bucca would be a guy that he's starting Falcons 22nd against tight wide receivers. If he plays, I think I'd be a little more optimistic about Godwin just, I don't know. Not that optimistic. But I think I'd love him. We love him. We loved Chris Godwin. I don't think him that much, but I think he lead the team in targets. And that counts for something. You know, if you're talking about a flex. What? He with the mustache. It's what's stay on. All right. All right. That's that works. I mean, which DST do you like better? Bucks. Tappa. They get a lot of interceptions. They're good at turning you over. All right, Arizona's it. Oh, sorry, last night you have you have a hundred bucks who you're putting on to win the NFC South. Tappa because the odds are good. Bandings. I would say Atlanta is the best team. I would say Tampa Dracula London. I like that. Bonix Michael Pennix or Baker Mayfield. They got to start one. Yikes. Pennix. Pennix. Chris Goblin. Chris Goblin. I love it. All right. We don't have a lot of questions about this game. It's a pretty easy game. So let's go to Arizona at Dallas. Dracula. That's not bad. Yeah. It's that of the game. This is thinking mustache. Jeez. Michael Wilson has zero catches on 10 end zone targets this year. No player has had that many end zone targets without a touchdown catch in at least the previous 10 seasons. So it's been horrible luck for him on these end zone throws or just horrible execution. One of the two or both. Anyway, Dave, where do you have Michael Wilson ranked? He's top 24. I'm curious where you have him and what you think of him. Me? Yeah. I mean, because like you laid out that stat and I've just yeah that that does make me nervous. So knowing that and knowing how Wilson has played where if you could rank him, where would you rank him? Yeah, I would rank him like ahead of James and William. Because it's the game of the week. Yeah. The kernels and the cowboys. Not a whole lot of defense there. The game of the week. Hey. Well, Dave, on NFL play action, I gave two stars and two cents. I'm already oh and one. I said, start Jalen cocker. I said start Michael Wilson. So I would start Michael Wilson. I also think you're over to me with the real for three with the mustache. I said sit. James and Williams and I said sit Caleb Caleb Williams. So I made some tough calls that all really have me flumics. But I think like for Michael Wilson, he gets seven or more targets every game. You get seven or more targets against cowboys. You should have a good game. And if he doesn't, then I think we're pretty much done with him because the schedule is really hard after that. I percept is like a borderline top 12 quarterback, start him over DAC, start him over K the perceptor cousins. Cousins, but it's close. Sports lines, projections are way crazy for crazy high for percent. Where do they have? I think close to top five. I mean, you can see it. The cowboys are just horrible. They allow the eighth most fantasy points to quarterbacks. They give up a ton of big plays. Any interesting Kendrick Bourne, Dave? No, not unless I'm you can find about Antonio Williams. I like better than Kendrick Bourne. He's out there and bunch of leaks. Okay, let me go back to Michael. I mean, if you're if your theory atom is seven plus targets against the cowboys should lead to success. That's Kendrick Bourne and a nutshell. Yeah, I mean, it could. Okay, so let's say like Michael Wilson versus the number one receiver, like, like, Keon Coleman, because I at this point, I don't know if DJ Moore is going to play with the mustache. Dave, would you go, Michael Wilson or Keon Coleman or DJ Moore? Michael Wilson. Because that's the game of the week. Yeah, the Ravens and the bills. I think I've got to lose this mustache here. But that was my way of saying that's the game of the week. And Dave, stupid Dave rude everything for me. I hate this costume. I hate this show. Don't worry, buddy. This one's going to stay on just fine in 2027. Jamie, how are we feeling about the Cardinals running backs against the cowboys who are eighth worst against the position? Yeah, to reference the beginning part of the show again, I think if Jeremiah love plays, he's a low end number two running back at best, more of a high-end flex. I would guess that he just kind of slides back into his role in Zonovan Knight goes back to being a bench option, but he has played well. So we'll see in terms of do all three guys get opportunities. I would not want to trust any of them, though, unless I'm absolutely stuck. So I don't love Jeremiah love, but he would be my favorite. Kendrick Born, Michael Wilson, Ryan Flanoi, how would you rank them? Wilson Flanoi unless Pickens is out. I put Flanoi ahead of Born. 11 plus PPR on three straight. You know what to do with your Cowboys. Pickens would like to see him get more targets than he had last week. Only at six targets, I believe. But how are you going to it's going to be tough to sit George Pickens? Yeah, I can't really think of like I would ask all the guys from last night's game over Pickens, but that doesn't make any sense anymore. And is there a, it's the, you know, when you start the Cowboys DST or anything? No. All right. That's it for this. See if we have any questions here. I'm sure we have some paranormal activity. I like that. Silence of the CD lambs. Here's a real question. Brysett, Geno or Kyler? Brysett for me. I'll take Geno. Kendrick Born or Antonio Williams in non PPR. Williams, I would take it born. Oh, really interesting. Okay. How about Brysett, Baker Mayfield or Sam Darnel going, Brysett there? Yep. Michael Wilson or Luther Burton. Good question. Vernon, I believe I've burned higher. And Tony says I look like Dewey from Scream instead of super troopers. That's true. I'm just going to let the mustache do what it wants to do. Uh, feel it, Alfie, is that Washington? It's hanging off your face. Feel it, Alfie, is that Washington? Halloween, name of the game. Darius Booper! Okay, just like Booper Cup. I think there's also, Stefan Diggs, his own grave, could go that way. Okay, sit McKee. Start Barkley if he plays, I guess. So hopefully you can make it through a game. If he doesn't play, would you rather have a Vikings running back, Dave or an Eagles running back? Let's just say Aaron Jones plays. Would you rather a Vikings running back or an Eagles running back if Barkley's out? Vikings running back. I don't know which running back is going to be any good for the Eagles, what the workloads split will be. I can guesstimate that it will be Mitchell over blue, but the commanders have actually been pretty good against the run. And they're coming off of a buy. Philadelphia is a total mess. I would take my chances with the Vikings. Okay, so because like, we've seen Damien Pierce have good games and score some touchdowns, you know, do you okay for fantasy? The jade on blue thing annoys me, because I really feel like Elijah Mitchell could, you know, be a solid up. But you say annoys you. We have no idea how they're going to use these guys. And they have to have guys up and ready to go. So the one thing I saw one of the Eagles beat writers they might have been Zach Burman who covers them for the athletics suggests that the fact that they haven't added another running back yet is good sign for Barkley because they're not going to go into the game with just two. So who knows if there's a transaction today, that will tell us a little bit more about where they think Barkley's at. I don't know, Barkley feels just very nerve-wracking. Like you have to start, and listen, you started him last week, you got lucky. He said he played well when he was on the field. He's just, you know, tweaking the back or the hamstring whichever the injury actually is. You got to take him on his word that's the back that why risk it if you're him at this point. - Oh, his hamstring looked perfectly fine in week seven. (laughing) No, but we don't know that's what it was. He said it was his back. - He was pulling out his hamstring, he was hurting it. - I know what it looked like, but I'm telling you what he said, like, you know, he said the hamstring came out fine, it was the back, that was bothering him. - Yeah, all right. Well, I mean, I felt like he was holding his hamstring. - Agreed. - Reaching for it. Okay, here's a good question. Assuming Devante Smith and Don Tevian Wicks don't play, who's the best wide receiver in this game? - Dicks to fond, Diggs. - Who's the second then, Lemons? Lemons. Antonio Williams. - All right, so Diggs, you guys have Diggs, like, 18th or something, and I think Heath has him pretty low. I'll check the updated rankings. Diggs is 18th for you guys, and Heath has him 33rd. He doesn't play that much. He is very inefficient this year, but he does have six or more targets in every game, and he has seven to nine targets in four or five games. He hasn't hit more than 55 yards in a game, so that found Diggs. I would start. - The first full game without McClauren, and I don't know, I mean, I'm expecting this evil defense to continue to underperform, like it has the majority of the season, and receivers have done well against them. - Yeah. Who's the best tight end in this game? - O'Cockwell. Got it. - You guys don't really agree? So Dave likes Williams more than Lemons, and Jamie likes, and any likes O'Cockwell more than Goddard, and Jamie is the opposite. All right, Dave, talk about these guys here. Talk about what you expect from these passing games. New usage has been great for O'Cockwell over the last couple of weeks, and I think he's just got the better quarterback and the better situation. We don't know what the run game, how effective the run game will be for watching, 'cause it's not like they've got great running backs, just guys that can get a decent amount of work. O'Cockwell has been a change up for them as far as short area passes. The track record of Jane Daniels throwing to his tight ends is also pretty good. Goddard is hamstrung by the quarterback, and it's nice that he gets a lot of targets from Tanner McKee on those short throws, and that'll help him in PPR, and that's why he's still a decent, certain PPR. But in all the other formats, I can't get behind him, and I don't know if he'll have a great shot to score. I don't know how many points the Eagles are gonna score, especially if there's no stake one. I also heard Scott Turner talk up Antonio Williams, he really likes him. Loves him. I had him pick his favorite rookie wide receiver, and we were coming off of a week where Omar Cooper had a big game. Casey Concepcion had a big game. There might have been one other one, but in his pick was Antonio Williams. He really likes, it was lemon. Lemon, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, he likes all of them. Lemon was his least favorite as far as production goes for this year, but he really liked Antonio Williams, which I was kind of surprised by. I thought he'd say Cooper. That's what I would've said. - I think one thing I didn't really expect or maybe realize about Antonio Williams is he's not a short area guy, like that sticks. Williams is like 11 yard eight. He's got a lot of big plays. His big play rate's pretty good. And he was wide open for what should have been a 21 yard touchdown last week or two weeks ago, last game against the 49ers. And for some reason, Jane Daniels just didn't look at him. It was, you know, it should have been an easy touchdown for him. And he makes these chunk plays. But, you know, you just, like, there's three guys that we like in some form of fashion. Diggs, Williams and O'Conquo. Again, Burke's could factor in. If he plays, he could be annoying here. I don't know that all three of them are going to be good. - So it's probably two. - No, it just hasn't been the track record. And again, this Eagle's defense is very much underperformed. There's still talented players over there, you know, so. And it's not like the, you know, Jane Daniels, as we saw two games ago for him. He was at the Giants game, maybe, where he ran for-- - Yeah, he ran for 100 yards and two touchdowns against the Giants. - Yeah, like he can get his fantasy production that way and all these guys think. - It's true. The Eagles give up the second most fantasy points the wide receivers, which just blows my mind. All right, how about ranking these guys? Lemon, Williams and Rashad White. - White, Lemon, Williams. It's probably gonna be how I come out on it, too. Yeah, White, we're running back first, then Williams. No, Williams and then Lemon. - Okay, right, 'cause you like Williams, but Lemon, Jamie's the op. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. - Mackay, Lemon, or an Arizona running back. In 2020, we'll-- - I'd be very surprised if Lemon does not. - I would not be surprised if there is no Devante Smith. If Lemon has the most targets of anybody in this game. - Yeah. - Okay. - Yep. - That's fair point. - How about Quinchon Judkins or a-- How many wide receivers in this game would you start over, Quinchon Judkins? - Swimming Samson is in, which it seems like it's gonna be the case. I would start Judkins over-- Diggs is the only one I would start over, Judkins. - Sam. - Okay. Would you start Mackay Lemon or Antonio Williams or Jamison Williams? - Still Jayma. - Okay. Who's your favorite rookie wide receiver this week? 'Cause in Carnell Tate, you could-- - Cooper. - Who? - Omar Cooper Jr. Tate, it'd be a place. - You like Cooper better than Tate Dave? - I do. - Interesting. - Chigokonco or Colson Loveland? - Loveland. - Still lovelin. I think they're almost back-to-back for me. - You guys, Dave has Chigokonco over Kelsey. Jamie has Kelsey one spot ahead of Oconco. - Dalton Kincaid or Chigokonco? Dalton Kincaid or Dallas Goddard? - Goddard Oconco Kincaid. I've got Oconco, Goddard Kincaid. - All right, I'll go read some chat questions now. Antonio Williams or Omar Cooper, Dave said Cooper. Jamie, how about you? - Cooper. - Sit two of these-- - Super Cooper. - Super. - Sit two. Diggs, Emanuel Wilson, Judkins, Jamo Bernard. - I sit Emanuel Wilson and Bernard. - Okay. - I think I agree, yeah. - Jonah Coleman, Devante Smith or Antonio Williams? - Smith Pleas are starting him otherwise it's Williams. Smith, Coleman, Antonio in that order. - Okay. - Ooh. - Antonio Williams, Caleb Douglas, Jacobi Lane, Josh Downs, pick one. Go on Williams. - Douglas for me. - Douglas for me too. - Friar Muth or getting Chiggy with it. - Okay. (singing) - Uncle or LaPorta? - Sam, order. - Burden or Rashad White as a ghost. Oh, white as a ghost, I love it. - I didn't get that. - Gonna be Burden or Rashad White as a ghost. - Burden. Lex Luthor Burden. - Lad Maconkey or Antonio Williams? - What? - All right, one more game. I think it's probably a pretty easy one. Oh wait, Commander's DSG, starter set. - Don't mind him. - Yeah, don't love him though. - Yeah, great. - You guys have, at least they've got a good run defense. - Okay, the chargers are, yeah, and the run defense hasn't been quite as good for the commanders the last few weeks, but it's still good, yeah. Chargers at the Rams. - Okay, we need something scary here. The chargers offense. (laughing) Also Killmoney Vidal and Dyrin Williams. - Good ones. - Thank you. Okay, we talked about Blake Corms usage, and I guess just what I wanted to say was he had 17 carries last week. The Rams as a team had 33 running back carries. That was by far their most of the season. They've had 26, 24, 21, 21, 21, 19, and 33. running back carries they really haven't been running the ball as much as I thought as a team but until last week I thought they'd be I mean it's a lot but it's not like super crazy high. Okay anyway are there any chargers that you want to start? No, Makaku would be the closest if he's healthy. I agree. Where would you rank him? Where he's ranked right now like just outside the top 24. Yep. Top 30-ish. Where do you have Amari and Hampton and Kamani by Del ranked? In all. Hamptons just inside the top third or right around 30. I still actually start Mitchell over by Del if I had to make a choice. You would start who? Mitchell over by Del. Okay. Videll keeps scoring points 11.6 12.6 7.0 fantasy points but Mitchell 13.7 11.3 5.9 fantasy points and then there's Stupid Hampton who does nothing every game. I guess I just if you cross your fingers and you hope that they figured something out during the buy and they can be better but if not I've tried to make the most optimistic case for them and I just I can't do it. I don't know. Joel might be back. I don't know if Joel's been great this year. In fact I'd say he's not played to his expectation. Everything just seems like a total mess. You watch the press conferences and it sounds like what they're trying to do is just make things more simple and more efficient and what does that mean? That might mean shorter throws and quicker throws and maybe play with some tempo and that's something that we've seen Mike McDaniel lean on over the course of his career. It's something that kind of I thought they would do anyway this year and at times they have but there's nothing there that can make me feel confident in any of of these players in LA with the chargers. I have to say the chargers. Obviously. So we talked about Lemon and Antonio Williams last game. How would you compare them to Blake Corum Jamie? I mean the Corum score touched down in three games or one was a receiving touchdown. I think there's more upside for the receivers if they do perform to the level of what their roles could be because if the Montesmith is out like I said you're gonna probably get a huge amount of targets for our significant amount of targets for lemon. Williams to me is a gamble just because you know he's he had an opportunity earlier this season when Diggs was out. He had eight targets and was unproductive granted the quarterback play was terrible in that game. I think Corum is just kind of a safe eight points without a touchdown. There's more upside for the receivers. The only problem is like he has three, Blake Corum has three games with 5.4, 3.5, 3.1 points. He rarely catches the ball. That's been a little bit a little bit better this year actually. I mean he's got 14 targets in seven games but sometimes he just gets like one or zero. Could I ask a favor? Yeah. What games were those? Which weeks? What's your question? Zero targets, one target? No, the games where he had bad low fantasy points. Oh, we're there about week one, week three, week four. A bad loss to the winners. Three, two of those three were one score losses. One of them was a one score win. This plays right into the just how they've used their running backs when they've been in close games. It hasn't been a lot of Corum. That's the risk. Win the Rams, have a matchup that looks like it could be challenging. This doesn't feel like one of those matchups. That's why I kind of like Corum this week is maybe even like a borderline number two running back. Wow. Okay. Blake Corum or James and Williams. Half people. Jamel. Jamel. Jamel. Did I ask Corum or McConkey? You just did. McConkey. Okay. And Stafford's interesting. He got pretty lucky last week. They had some like goal line stuff. They had like these penalties that backed him up. I think took rushing touchdown off the board. You know, and he was fine, but only 195 yards. But three touchdowns. Anyway, Charger's defense is pretty solid. There's seventh best against quarterbacks. They did well against Josh Allen. Josh Allen had a terrible game against them. Patrick Mahomes was terrible against them. Bonixt, terrible. Darnell Bad, Berset Bad. Cousins was good. And that's it. Not the toughest competition. But Dave, how confident are you in Matthew Stafford? I'm going to start him. I know what the upside is. I'm not putting them as a top five QB. I think there could be an argument for guys like Jane Daniels ahead of him. I don't know if you can make a compelling case for Cousins and Gino ahead of Matthew Stafford. But I think he's relatively safe. I think he'll find his numbers. If the Chargers do happen to give them a game, if then you know that Stafford can light him up for 30 plus. And yeah, I mean, he's a starter, but you can start. Allen Burrow. You're going to start trick over him if AJ Brown doesn't play. Yes. Yes. Lawrence is ahead of him. Dak Prescott is ahead of him. Lamar Jackson is ahead of him. And Jane Daniels is right there with Matthew Stafford. Cousins, Gino Gough, they're behind him. Bersets behind Matthew Stafford. Start Pukinakua, start Kyron Williams. Last thing for today's show. These spooky scary tight ends. Colby Parkinson actually hasn't been practicing. Jamie, what are we doing with the Rams tight ends? Chargers 10th best against tight ends. If Parkinson's out, I think you go back to Higby as a streamer. He's been bad the last two games, but he was certainly more productive when Parkinson was first injured when Puka was injured. So there's opportunities there. And then Davis Allen looks for two touchdowns last week. He had a season nine targets. He's also in play. I wouldn't feel comfortable with either one of them, but if I had to pick one, I would still lean Higby. Same. Hampton or Harvey, PPR gets some check questions here. Hampton or Harvey? If Harvey plays Harvey, Harvey is safer. Quorum or trade Tucker, Ladmakonky or Omar Cooper, Jr. Tucker over Quorum. Cooper over Lad. I'll go Tucker and let sit one Ladmakonky key on Coleman, Bam Knight. It's half point per carry as PPR. I'd sit night. I would start night if love is out. If love is in and more is out, I might go Coleman. If more plays to sit one, not start one. He knows. Because Lad is the start. Well, no, I mean, I don't know. Night's the easy. At this point, it seems like love's going to play. Okay. Half people are, Bamakonky key on Coleman, Demario Douglas. Again, so many moving parts with this. So Lad is the safest. I think he's, you know, just if he starts. If more is out, then you can make a case for Coleman over Lad. If more is in, you can make a case for Douglas over Lad. If Brown is out, these answers is led. Ladmakonkynstein, Caleb Douglas, Jordan Mason or Jeremy Bernard, full PPR. Mason, if there's no Jones. And then I would go Bernard. I have lad to spot higher than Bernard. Blake corpse or breaklawn Allen if Breeze Howell plays with this. Good job, Eric. If Breeze is out, Allen is the answer. And if Breeze is in. Blake corpse corpse. Okay. Last by the way, my Halloween name of the game for the Rams was Blake Gorham, just so you know, last year. What do you got Dave? He didn't use it again. No. Oh, I was just going to say, who's my favorite baseball team? Who? The white socks. You don't think I was going to let you go away. Without this little humdinger part of the show. By the way, if you want bad on band, I can't believe you had this in your life. The, you want to see my socks right now? You might, you know, yes. Well, they're not. No, no. No, the Rams DST has been absolutely horrible. And they're facing the best matchup in fantasy. So that's starters it Rams DST. Sorry. I can't believe we're doing this. I order new ones. I had. I got my years as well. All right. Don't play sports in your non-sports socks. Dave, they've ruined a bit though. Why? He said, do you want to know my favorite baseball team? If you're future ahead, we know the white socks. That's true. Or maybe I am because the Yankees are so evil. All right. We'll talk to you guys on the mailbag in a half an hour. See you later. Bye.
