Week 7 Waiver Wire: MUST ADD Players, Injury Replacements & Streamers (10/20 Fantasy Football Podcast)
1h 8m 51s
This week’s fantasy football waiver wire is shaped by a wave of injuries to key wide receivers and running backs, including Devonte Adams, Mike Evans, and Romeo Dobbs, creating multiple high-value opportunities. The top priorities are Rashad White, Omar Cooper Jr., and Demario Douglas—each offering strong schedules, target volume, and matchup advantages. White, in particular, benefits from a reduced receiving corps and favorable matchups against the Rams and Giants, while Cooper and Douglas provide reliable upside with solid fantasy production. Running back options like Kendra Miller and Terrence Ferguson are recommended as stash plays, especially for deep leagues where long-term value matters. The Patriots’ offensive line issues and the return of injured players like Travis Hunter or Jordan Mason add complexity to the backfield picture. On defense, the Browns, 49ers, and Cardinals present viable streaming options due to offensive struggles. Kickers like Will Riker and Evan McPherson offer solid floor value, while deeper considerations include tight ends like Michael Mayer and Chico Concho, who may get increased roles due to injuries. The consensus is that Cooper and Douglas are the most reliable wide receiver picks for this week, with Rashad White as a strong secondary option. Managers should use analytics, injury updates, and matchup data to assess value, particularly in shallow or deep leagues where flexibility is key.
This is Fantasy Football today from CBS Sports. You wanna play? Can you believe this? It's a no again. It's time to dominate your fantasy league. To the races, play states, play states, play states, play states, play states, play states. Now, here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath. Jamie and I spoke yesterday on FFT Express and it was like, yeah, it's not necessarily the best waiver wire we have. Things have changed quite a bit. With Devonte Adams being out six to ten weeks with Terry McClaurin, maybe being out for the season with Mike Evans set to miss some time. You know, maybe it's just one week, maybe it's zero weeks. I don't know, but he's expected to miss some time. They have a game this week, then they have a buy. But these wide receivers are getting hurt. They're old, by the way. And that means we have a lot of wide receiver fillings. We also have running back injuries and all these things. And we have a pretty busy waiver wire week. As we walk him into the week seven waiver wire episode, hey, Jamie. Good morning. You know, watching that game last night, I was thinking, well, it's San Francisco 49ers, at least someone's 49, right? For those of you who missed it yesterday was Jamie's 50th birthday, huge milestone, great stuff. Can't believe how long we've known each other. Let's look at like we were kids when we met. And you guys, you guys have known each other for even longer. But Dave's 50 also, thanks for the reminder. Very nice. Dave looked the same, though, since he's in his late 20s. So it's he's Benjamin Button, he's aging backwards. There's a there's a former colleague of ours that sent us videos from like 20 years ago, some of the earliest fantasy football today videos we did. And Jamie is this fresh, faced, young, black-air stud. And I look like, first of all, I look like super bald, which I kind of pull off that I'm not, but I sort of am. And then on top of that, I'd look exactly the same, just a little bit more gray. So yeah, I like to say, I came out of the womb with glasses on the goatee. All right, well, anyway, I hope it was a great birthday for you. I'm sorry, we didn't have to do a pod. Thank you for the people who sent some tweets, I appreciate it. All right, now you got to get back to work. Now they need you to come through. Who are the top three waiver wire priorities for week seven, Jamie? I mean, this is a wide open list. So I'm curious to see what you guys think. But for me, it's two receivers are going to run you back. And Rashad White's the first name that I would go for. He's 64% roster on our site, and doesn't play in week seven. But Chikori Crosky Merit was placed on IR. And he's going to miss at least three more games. They have their vine week seven. So you're not going to have Crosky Merit for four weeks. But Rashad White played the most of the commanders running backs. He has 11.1. PPR points are more in three of his last four games. He's going to be involved in the passing game, especially now. Maybe more than ever without McLaren there. So I think he's going to be a potential starter moving forward and definitely a flex option at minimum. There's a ton of receivers. And so for me, the top two guys for this week are going to be Omar Cooper Jr. and Demaro Douglas. Both guys are in some interesting spots. Cooper, we're going to see what happens when I'm Mitchell eventually returns. Obviously Gary Wilson is going to play better than he did last week. And then for Douglas, it's two receivers to the Patriots. Don't forget about Mack Hollins being out. I know a Romeo Dobbs guy hurt. Had his shoulder injury. But they have two receivers that are on IR for at least the next three more games in regards to Hollins for four more games now for Dobbs. A.J. Brown will play better. Hunter Henry is going to be involved. But Romeo Douglas is coming off of two solid games. So those are the top two receivers that I will get. You can make case for Antonio Williams. You can make case for Christian Kirk. You can make case for a handful, guys. You can call me Lane, Jalen Noel. Jalen Noel, Jalen Noel. Jalen Noel, excuse me. Jordan Tyson, there's just a lot of different receivers that you can go and target. But for me, the top two guys are going to be Cooper and Douglas. Who, how about a team name Tuesday? Gracie Noel. Oh yeah, that's a great one. Nice, very relevant. Okay, so JB stopped three. We shot White Omar Cooper Jr. and DiMaria Douglas. Dave, how about you? Nothing like a pick me up for a team name Tuesday. Thanks Adam. I agree with Cooper and Douglas. I think that those are the top two receivers again. And I think you could even make the case that Douglas should go ahead of Omar Cooper. But Cooper is going to be real popular. Not only because he had the long touchdown, but his best played in count. He had this amazing juke on a play in the red zone and he scored on it. But it got called back by penalty. We talked about that on Sunday. I also love his schedule coming up. Miami Vegas Kansas City Buffalo Chargers. Vegas or Miami. Again, I don't know if you brought that up, Jamie. But the schedule is really, really nice. Really nice for both receivers, but certainly Omar Cooper a little bit longer. Let me just give you, I'll give you three more names. The first one is Zack Sharbinay. Just double check to make sure that he's rostered. He's out there in 57%. I'm sorry, he's rostered already. 57% of ESPN league, 62% excuse me, of Yahoo leagues. And Zack Sharbinay looks like he's going to come off the populist. Sounds like he's going to play this week. And given the running backs that we've seen from Seattle this year, wouldn't be a surprise if he had at least his old rollback, which is passing down goal line. And if he's got that, he's going to be pretty good. So I would make sure that Zack Sharbinay is on A roster, hopefully it's yours. And I grew the receivers. I agree with Rashad White. So let's think of these names as, oh, that was a good one. Let's look at these names as like next best Kendra Miller. Could be a one week running back because it's just match up. And we don't know if Alvin Camarra is healthy. And the matchup isn't great against Steelers. But I think Kendra Miller will lead the run game for New Orleans. Then he's got to buy. And then Travis HN can come back in week nine. So I wouldn't go crazy getting Kendra Miller. And then Terrence Ferguson for the Rams cannot use them in week seven. He might be back in a week. This is a stash play. But if Devante Adams is out six plus weeks, this could be the number two target getter for the Rams behind Pukinakua. They've liked them a lot. You know, they use a lot of tight ends in their offense. I don't have a choice but to do it now. So you can get ahead of it with Terrence Ferguson. You shouldn't have done a lot of fab to get them. You might be able to make them your last wave or claim. Tight end for Don Milan. And you know, you could always say, well, he's on IR. So it's leagues that have an IR spot. He's probably already rostered. But that's just not the case. He's only 14% roster Terrence Ferguson. And there I can speak from personal experience. There are times when guys, I just didn't even realize they were available. And they were on IR. And I picked them up. I can't remember. I did that in a couple leagues with someone, whatever. And it might be the case with Terrence Ferguson. So just check and see if he's available in your league. And remember, this is a week where we've got four teams on by. We've got Buffalo, Jacksonville, the Chargers in Washington. Now with three teams on by. What's that? Three teams on by. Yeah, well, three teams, the Chargers. Maybe I don't count the Chargers. There's still a team, I think, but for now. But my point is, with Washington, you have some options. Like you have Rashad White. You have Antonio Williams. Chigel Conco is another guy that could certainly get more involved now. There's been a halt. That's two weeks now. It's going to step up. They're not they're not going to show up in the projections this week. So if you're playing on CBS and you're looking at the player stats page and you're looking to pick up free agents. The Buffalo receivers, you might want to get them. Travis Hunter. You might, I mean, just deeper leagues. You might be considering him, whatever. Jacobi Myers, these guys are not going to show up in the projections. So, uh, you know, read, read Jamie's waiver wire column. Don't forget about these names. It's easy to forget about these names, uh, but just, you know, keep them in mind. And Terrence Ferguson also is not going to show up in the projections, but, uh, he's someone to stash. Okay. Uh, so great. Good stuff. Rashad White, Omar Cooper, Jr. Demario Douglas, Zach Charbonne, Kendrick Miller, Terrence Ferguson. These are some names. Kendrick Miller, going to crack your top 24 this week and running back. I believe so. No. Okay. I mean, I, I don't know if I can name 24 running backs, I'd rather have. I'm double checking where I have them now. No, he's outside of my top 24, uh, top 30. Top 30. He just hasn't been good. He's got 30, he gets a lot of to games. He's been terrible. Yeah, he's, he's their goal lineback probably. And Pittsburgh is a tough run defense giants or not. Pittsburgh is much better than the giants. And he would, he had like 20 carries for 70 yards against the right. He's playing with a huge lead in that game too. It's true. And he's kind of like their version of Damian Pierce. And it worked out for people that picked up Damian Pierce less week, especially with the catches and, you know, Carson Steel got hurt early on. So there was a ton of work for Pierce to get. When it's a favorable game script, Miller could be in that same neighborhood of 15+ touches. You hope he finds the ends on Damian Pierce, by the way, gained 18 yards on his first two carries. And then he gained 17 yards on his next 10 carries. But the offensive line, there was a real problem for him. So actually Damian Pierce. That's what, yeah, but it was really, in my opinion, as much about the offensive line as it was, Damian Pierce, which, and he wasn't involved in the passing in for those worth. Right, right, right, right, we're catchers. Right, Carson Steel left with the shoulder injury. I haven't seen an update on him, but that's actually a fairly significant piece of news, because you need some, something in the passing game from Pierce. Now, I think a big question is, which running backs are you expecting back this week? Okay, Quinchon Judkins, Seikwam Barkley, Jeremiah Love. They all missed games last week. Travis HN, not eligible to come back yet. But Jamie, when you look at the running backs, sorry, to skip ahead to that portion of this, we had a lot of opportunity because of injuries last week. Do we have any indications this week about who might return? So I think the two most logical players that we think are going to, the two most logical situations that we think are going to happen are Judkins, because he was close, practiced on Friday, took it up to game time to play. So at this point, I would expect him to be out there, and the other one would be Josh Jacobs. So sounds like he's going to.
to get a full week of practice and then according to Matt LaFloor, they'll make a decision. So those are the two, I think, in terms of players who are not playing in week six, that could play in week seven. Barkley is probably gonna be close, but didn't practice it all last week, so that's one you wanna keep an eye on there. And then try and think of it. - I love it. - So love the card, at least the report I saw on our site, they're optimistic that he's gonna practice this week. So that's another one to keep an eye on there, mostly in regard to Zonovan Knight because Tyler Algera is rostered in 79% of our leagues, I believe it is, 70% of our leagues. So if you're looking at it from like, okay, who can I pick up and maybe use and Knight's coming off a better game than Algera, that's one I think you just wanna keep an eye on. But really, I think in regards to the Cleveland situation, there's a lot of moving parts because Dylan Samson can also play. So Julema Blufflin was decent, nine carries 41 yards, couple catches, could be a flex option for you, but again, you might not know who's gonna start for Cleveland until we get to the middle of the end of the week. - Plus Julema Blufflin got the goal line touchdown. Oh boy, I'm watching the Kendra Miller. - I'll get some, I have the goal. - Yeah, sorry, sorry. I'm watching the Kendra Miller tape right now. He came so close to having two touchdowns in this game. All right, so how much fab are we spent? Actually, before we get to fab, we're gonna give you some wide receivers. Tell me, would you drop them for Omar Cooper Jr. and/or DiMario Douglas? Would you drop Josh Downs? - Yeah, I think, especially if I need somebody this week, I would drop him for Cooper, probably Douglas too. - Yeah, for both, same, same, same, same. - I mean, I, Kenan Allen's the better receiver there, speaking of old receivers. - Kenan Allen has, I think the 10th highest target per out run rate in the end of all wide receivers with like 25 or more targets. And if you look at the top 15 on that list, it's almost entirely, like so far. Almost entirely, like superstars or studs. - And your point? - There's a peanut now in there. - Yeah, there's a superstar. - Yeah, but you can't, you can't ignore it at this point. - No. - So it's Puka Flowers, JSN, Evans, Lamb, Devante Smith, Amon Ross St. Brown, neighbors, Kenan Allen. - Yeah, that's your top. - That's my top 12 in rankings. - Yeah, there you go. - For the rest of the season. - Would you drop the bills? Would you drop the bills wide receivers going into their buy? - Yes. - Not DJ Moore, but the other way. - Not DJ Moore, but yes. I mean, for those guys, you have to clean somebody's week. - Yeah. - Would you drop Wando Robinson? - Bye. - Yeah, there's more upside with those guys. - Yeah, about Kenan Allen. Dreather of Kenan Allen. - No. - Those guys. - Allen. I might draw the line there. - Draw the line. - I mean, he's got 29 targets in the three games that Alec Pierce has missed that he's played. - How about Devon Veylae or those guys? - If I'm not playing Veylae, I think I would take a chance on Cooper, but I think Cooper and Douglas could be somewhat similar. - Okay. - Remember, they have the Saints have their buy in week seven, and we can see me and Jordan Tyson could return. So if you're looking long-term, you'd definitely rather ask Cooper and Douglas, you know, probably in a similar situation. - Yeah, I've got them both ranked out of Veylae this week and you can't use Veylae next week. So it's a sad goodbye to Devon Veylae. - Oh, here's another one. How do we feel about Woody Marks now? I'm thinking Dave Montgomery probably won't play this week. He was supposed to be a week to week. He didn't practice last week. Hang on to Woody Marks, 'cause he's got an amazing matchup this week. That's a question from the chat. Now, and he's got a chance to really claim that job, I think. So feeling hopeful there. Just a few schedule notes. Kyla Murray's next three matchups are excellent. So he's going to be a waiver wire priority. It's the Colts this week. The Rams tight ends on paper have a great upcoming schedule. And Michael Mayer, who's been awesome in two of three games, his next four games, this, you know, I don't know what to make of this. Michael Mayer's next four games are against teams that are all top five against tight ends. And some of them just haven't really been challenged yet, so we don't know, but it is something to keep in mind. Dave, how much fab are we spending this week? - Depends how desperate you are for a wide receiver or a running back long term. Because the ones that you would spend a lot of fab on are gonna be Cooper, Rashad White, and Douglas. And I could see somebody in Fantasy Leagues that are just hungry for a running back. Plop in 20% on Rashad White. And I don't hate it, but it's just, it sucks that you'd have to do something like that just to get a guy that you can't even use this week. But that would be my max on Rashad White. I think Cooper's probably closer to 15%. I don't think Douglas is gonna be super popular, so you might be able to get away with under 10% for him of your starting fab budget. - Let's talk about Rashad White real quick. You know what, let's take a break. When we come back, we'll talk about Rashad White. Jamie and I both put in bids for him on Saturday night or something like that in the league. And I think I got him for $2. Didn't know at the time that Shakurri Krasky-Marit was going on IR, but he played a lot last night, but it wasn't all encouraging, right? We had McNichols in there, you can, they've looked up the goal line stuff. I think it was McNich-- - I already have it. - Okay, great. We'll tell you about it. When we come back on Fantasy Football Day, we'll be right back. All right, so Rashad White has this opportunity now. Three more games at least without Shakurri Krasky-Marit. Those games got to buy week this week, and then Philadelphia, the Rams, and at the Giants. You're going, oh, Philadelphia, and the Rams, that's super terrible. Well, the Eagles are kind of average against the run. You can run on them, even last year. They still have a really talented team. And the Rams just lost two interior defensive linemen, one for the season, one for multiple weeks. So that is a really tough matchup, but it has been anyway, but it may not be going forward, and then the Giants are a great matchup. But just overall, Dave, what are your thoughts on Rashad White? Because as much as he played, he only had 11 touches last night. I don't think we can rely on receiving touchdowns very often. - It's 11 touches, and it's the second highest total of the year, but this is the world he'll live in without Krasky-Marit on the field. He played 69% of the snaps, handled almost every single third down snap. They did use Jeremy McNichols near the goal line. That kind of stunk, and that obviously limits the upside for Rashad White. That if we're talking about a running back that's going to get anywhere from 11 to 15 touches, given GameScript, I don't mind him as a low-end RB2, probably closer to a high-end RB3 when everybody's available. And it's short-term, but people are desperate for running back help, and he's somebody who we know, we've seen them play before. He's already had two other games this year, where he's been at least 11 PPR points, and that was with Krasky-Marit on the field. - I think the other angle here is, does he have a chance to actually become a starting running back? Let's say he does really well in these three games. - Yeah, that would happen. - Good idea. - Well, he'll share. He'll share no matter what. That's just what most teams do, and that's what the commanders do. But it could be a deal where he's splitting carries with Krasky-Marit. - Yeah. - Okay, well, thank you for this. It was very helpful. But as a guy, look, 63% roster in CBS leagues, right around 60% in sleeper and Yahoo leagues as well. So whether he's available or not, you still need to know his value. And he might have yourself a flex or an RB2 for the next month. All right, please check out our show on CBS Sports Network, noon, Eastern on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you don't see it on CBS Sports Network, you can see it at youtube.com/fantasyfootballtoday. And on CBS Sports HQ, it will air as well, more on the waiver wire on that show today, and a rankings episode on Thursday. Your news and notes, the giants haven't made a decision about a quarterback yet at Houston this week, then a buy. Jalen Hertz is going to be out for the season with the blood clot. And I already talked about it yesterday. It's just absolutely sucks. The Colts are not changing quarterbacks right now that they did fire their general manager. They're at Minnesota this week. The Broncos are not changing quarterbacks right now. And Baker Mayfield could practice this week. They're at Carolina, but right now, the bucks say they're planning on Jalen Daniels being their starting quarterback. At running back, Jordan Mason has served his time, and he is now designated to return from IR. Alec Lewis of the athletic thinks that the Vikings could look for a running back at the trade deadline. Mason and Jones both had good games in week one. I think Mason had 14 carries and Jones had 12, something like that. But they split fairly evenly. And Jones has been really good in his absence. Josh Jacobs may play this week. Carson Steel with that injury, J. Corrie Croskey Merritt on IR, and Dave already mentioned Zach Charbonne as a good chance to play this week. Wide receiver, we've got hopefully McConkey healthy after the buy, he's got a concussion. But we're not expecting Mike Evans this week within Achilles injury. And he's got Atlanta this week on the road and then a buy. Terry McCloren, serious knee injury. They have a buy this week. Devonte Adams, six to 10 weeks with a hamstring injury. Romeo Dobbs on IR. And yeah, I mean, just a quick aside. I'm a guy who, I remember talking about it in the preseason, like, look at all these young receivers who got hurt last year. Brian Thomas Jr., Malik neighbors. And this and that. And I'm like, it doesn't matter how old you are, you know, and I still kind of believe that. And I drafted a lot of old guys, but I couldn't help but notice those three older receivers. And DJ Mory can throw him in there too. - Debo Samuel. - Debo Samuel. Yeah, just plagued by injuries this year. It's been. - Not Keenan Allen, baby. - Not Keenan Allen. - He did what the game was, guy. What's that? - Keenan Allen didn't miss a game. - He did? That's true. And yeah, the young guys are hurt too, but AJ Brown's kind of older too, he's 29. So not a great look for that strategy. Dobbs on IR, Tank Del is gonna play this week. Darnel Mooney, I didn't see an update on him. He's got a neck injury or shot. Bateman should be fine. And let's go to. Let's go to the waiver wire. Let's tell you all the offensive line. I do think you need to be aware that the Patriots are playing Thursday and they could have three offensive linemen out. Yeah. And how many defense linemen are missing for the bears though?
what is, how many games was he suspended for? - He's got one more. - So he's not playing, Deo's out. Did they lose one more? - I don't remember them losing anyway. (laughs) - You brought a prop. - Anybody else out, but I think that, I got a feeling they bounced back, and their defense looked really good through the first three quarters against Atlanta, and then they kind of slacked off at the end. - TJ Edwards is the big one though, 'cause he missed middle linebacker for them. He missed week six, and he was estimated as a non-participant. Okay, other than that, we'll keep you updated on major injuries on the offensive line and defense throughout the week. - Let's get our top three priorities at each position. On by this week, Lamar, sorry, Josh Allen, who's the Buffalo Quarterback? It's Josh Allen, Trevor Lawrence, Jaden Daniels, and the other team that's on abys, not a football team, so we will mention it, but it is Justin Herbert. - You know the last quarterback who started on six for the Chargers? - Oh, it was Harbaugh, right? - Yeah. - It's not that. All right, Jamie, who are the top three quarterbacks to get? - Kyle Murray would be one. As you mentioned, the very favorable schedule that he has coming up. Last time we saw him, 20 fantasy points was a season high against the Saints, and hopefully that's just a sign of thanks to coming around for 51 yards in that game. So, love to see that, and we'll love to see him with his full receiving core healthy 'cause he get to have Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and TJ Hawkinson on the field for an entire game. So, we'll see if Addison and Hawkinson are healthy coming off their bite week. Rodgers was able to get another 20 point game in, took over time against Tampa Bay. Should have a favorable matchup against the Saints, they've given up three of their last four games, over 20 fantasy points to quarterback groups, and I say that just because of the giant skies combining for over 20 fantasy points last week. So, Rodgers hopefully will stay hot for at least one more game. And then it was fun to see Michael Penix in a comeback after chasing points. We haven't yet to see that this season. So, it was only by one, but a season high, 33 pass attempts for him, and three touchdowns in that game last week against the Bears. And I think even though the 49ers are so beat up, this could be a shootout as well, just based on how these two teams will likely operate. So, Michael Penix could be used as a low end starter as well. - Yeah, that's a good point. Like they finally had to throw, and Penix, I mentioned it when we did the game preview that he's in terms of his rates. Yard's contempt and passer rating, those types of things. He's been among the elite so far this year, not saying I buy that exactly, but you just need him to throw the ball more, and a game against San Francisco could bring about that opportunity. So, Rodgers, by the way, after New Orleans, he has a buy and then at Cincinnati, at Philadelphia, Denver, Houston, he doesn't have a great schedule after the buy, but if you're just looking for-- - You have Cleveland coming, I'm stuck in the Cleveland before the buy. - Oh, my bad. - Yeah, there it is. At New Orleans, then Cleveland. And he scored 28 fantasy points against Cleveland in week four. - I'm a short week. - Okay, so Dave, top three running backs to get. - If Sharbinay is out there, he would be at the top of the list, if Rashad White's out there, he would be next. Let's say those two guys are already rostered. I would take Kendra Miller, just if you need somebody for week number seven. After that, it gets gross. Tyrone Tracy would be next for me, and then Roshan Johnson, after that Johnson, more short term. Tracy, you're taking the chance that he ends up being the best giants running back for the foreseeable future, maybe. We don't know when Camp Scataboo will get his job back, if he'll get his job back. But I think Tracy showed enough last week that he will at least be in the mix. And he's out there 90% of leagues. So another running back that fantasy managers can at least stash and see what happens. Tyrone Tracy, junior average, 14.4 PPR fantasy points per game in the last 10 game. Us eight games, pardon me, of 2025. If you take out the Dallas game and week eight team, and they were playing back up running back up defense, 12 and a half PPR fantasy points per game for Tracy in his last seven games last year. So I'm sorry. Jamie's top three are Rashad White, Jonah Coleman, who's interesting, and Jalil McLaughlin. Dave, what are your top three again? - I've got Kendra first. Tyrone Tracy next, Roshan Johnson third. - But Rashad White first. - Rashad White would be ahead of them. Yes, he makes the threshold. So I probably should have said that Rashad White's first, but-- - Rashad White, Kendra Miller. - We've got consensus on the first name. - Ayo. - All right, yeah, interesting week here. And Jamie, top three wide receivers. - So I mentioned the top two already in Omar Cooper and Mario Douglas. And I have Antonio Williams third, just with the opportunity for him to step into Terry McCorns. You know, hopefully target share a different type of player, obviously, but big opportunity coming for him. But we haven't seen him produce very much. His best game actually was week ones, only time he's quarter touchdown. But we saw two weeks ago, without Stefan Diggs on the field, he had eight targets. And that was with the quarterback shuffle. I think it was a quarter, no, that was-- - Yeah, yeah, in London or whatever. - Yeah, exactly, that was Mario to got hurt. So you'll see Traylon Berks, you'll see Chico Conco. So I don't think Antonio Williams is a lock to be a consistent producer, even a lock to be number two on the team in targets, 'cause I think what Conco could hold that role. But just taking a chance on somebody who's young with upside in an offense, I think that needs playmaker. So assuming that McCormick is out for the season, Antonio Williams is third. But again, you could throw a lot of different names in there. I just think it's one of those weeks where none of these guys, I think, are just locks. You have two safe options, in my opinion, of Malik Washington and Kendrick Bourne. So if we're just looking for players that have good floors and could be starters in three or three leagues, they're available almost everywhere. At least 65% of leagues are more. You have the upside of some guys that you aren't gonna play this week, Jordan Tyson for one. He could be a league winner moving forward. It feels like we're on the verge of Casey Concepcion breaking out and having a big performance at some point soon. So he's another guy. So you'll see a lot of names in the column. I don't know how many we'll get to, but these will be the top three for me. - We should play King of the Hill with these names. We stack 'em up against each other and then see who we like better. - Do that right now, would you like to play King of the Hill? - I would love to play King of the Hill at 'em, thank you. - Okay. - All right, I think we agree that Omar Cooper would be the King of the Hill. So now that he's won-- - I don't necessarily agree. - Yeah, we don't care. - But, blah, blah, blah. - No, okay, what's the argument? - Okay, Omar Cooper Jr. DiMario Douglas. - That's it, right? It's like, here's my question about Omar Cooper Jr. You've got, first of all, you have Garrett Wilson who was shadowed by Christian Gonzalez and only had like six targets. That's not gonna happen very often. You've got Adonai Mitchell coming back at some point. And that is my big concern. Who's the number two receiver there? So I think, yeah, I don't know. I really struggle with that Cooper versus DiMario Douglas. - Okay, well, eventually we'll have Mac Hollins back and Romeo Dobbs back. - Yeah, so we're gonna make it 10 weeks from now. I mean, so it's like-- - It's gonna be, but we don't know when Adonai's gonna be back either. And I think Adonai is a different type of receiver than Omar Cooper. - It's two weeks from Mac Hollins or it's three weeks from Mac Hollins. - I think it's at least two. - It's definitely, he's missed. I don't know, I guess I should go back and check 'cause I saw he had zero production in last two weeks. So I mean, I heard earlier in the game in week five. - Well, when did he go on IR? That's what I'll look back at what I send you each week. - He went on IR on October 10th. So that was week five, I guess. - Week nine is the earliest he can come back. - Right, so that's two more weeks. - Two more weeks. - All right, so I just think the thing with Cooper is going to week seven. - Well, two more games at each week. - Oh no, two more weeks and then week nine, right? - And there's, again, that's just the start of wanting you to come back. It doesn't guarantee that he is gonna come back then. I think the one thing that I look at with Cooper is very similar to Jeremy Bernard. You have Roman Wilson and Michael Pittman looming, but here's this second round talent that they drafted, that just showed you what he's capable of doing. He's not gonna do this when those guys are healthy, but he still should be the second receiver. I think it's the same thing with Cooper, like you're not gonna take him off the field for at night Mitchell. - I think they'll both play. - We might get-- - They'll both play, but it's just not, it's not gonna be as probably high as the production we just saw, but I still think there's opportunities for him. Right now, I think you can make an argument for Cooper to be a number two fan as you receive it this week. Four teams on a buy, lots of injuries. Matching as high on the analytics. - He's their slot guy, and so is DeMario Douglas, 55% slot rate last week, so I don't know how often they play in two receiver sets, but I imagine he's off the field in those. - Maybe. - Oh, Mark Cooper Jr. that is. - Maybe. - All right, so if we play King of the Hill, obviously there's a struggle between those two, but-- - Well, we gotta pick one. - Well, I think I'd go Douglas this week because I like this game against the Bears to be high scoring game, whereas there's only two wide receivers all year that are more than six targets against the Dolphins. Teams just run on them, and I don't know if the jet's-- - I would start Douglas overload this week, yes. - What if it's for multiple weeks? - I guess I probably go Cooper, 'cause we've seen Douglas, but we've been fooled by Douglas several times in throughout his career, and he's never consistent. - And I mean, if we're gonna be fair about this, we've been fooled by rookies and we've been fooled by jets. So it's not exactly a foolproof argument that Omar Cooper's decidedly better. And if you're looking for a one-week rental, and you can make the case that DiMario's better, that's fine, I would just, I would be, I would agree that he's got the better quarterback, obviously, but we've already talked about what that offensive line looks like for New England, and what was the key, at least I thought the key was for Drake May, was he was playing with a lot more comfort. Starting in week, what was it for when he started to play well? And if that offensive line is beat up on a short week, I worry a little bit about how effective May will be. It'll be good, you're gonna start 'em.
I don't know if he's going to be a top three quarterback this week, but on the flip side of that, if he's got to get the ball out fast, gets through that ball is going to. AJ Brown. Well, maybe if he catches it, tomorrow, Douglas would be the other one. I think Douglas is going to be second on the team in targets. Could also sit here and say Kendrick Boren's got eight targets, two straight games, and five catches. You know, would you take him over either of these guys? I think I'd take him over Douglas if I didn't need to start one of them this week. I would not. I just think there's like with Kendrick Boren and Malik Washington, you're talking about a safe floor, but not a high ceiling. So like Boren gave you eight targets last week, five catches, he got 12 PPR points. No. He got 9.7. I'm sorry, two weeks ago. Two weeks ago. Yeah. I was against Detroit, but he had a horrible schedule too. So you got three games with him with eight PPR points, with eight targets on the season. And his best game was week one. So like, he's going to get volume. He's going to be decent. I think the same thing with Malik Washington, they're going to be decent. There's just lack of huge games coming. Fair enough. We're not exciting. They don't have the same type of ceiling that Cooper and Douglas have. So I think I would have Cooper over Douglas. And then if you disagree with that, let's take a vote. No, it's cool. I mean, I don't really care. There's two. So it's a toss up to me. Okay. I guess I have to pick. I go Douglas over Cooper this week, this week. And what's nice about that is if you're in that group, if you're in that line of thought, you don't have to spend as much fab for Douglas. I don't think he'll be as popular as Cooper, whereas everybody sees the hundred yards in a touchdown for Cooper, and they will chase that. And that's why you're going to have to spend a little bit more fab on Cooper than Douglas. Okay. So if those two guys take their ball and go home, and it's Kendrick born on the top of the hill, and it's Jacobi Lane next, who wins that? Born. Jamie. Who with the name, sorry? Jacobi Lane and Kendrick born. Who would you rather pick up? I got that born. Kind of like Lane, because once Lamar comes back, I think we have too much debate here. We're going to spend the rest of the show on this. I just don't think we have a consensus here. Okay. This could be just our way of talking about the White receivers in bulk, because I mean, I think the point is, is that once you get past the first two or three, there's just that there's a lot of names, and there's a lot of intrigue with these names. The way that I wrote it, and it's the same way I would vote if we were doing this, is I think there's two receivers for this week that could be starters in three receiver leagues without question. That's Cooper and Douglas. Yes. I think moving forward, there's a receiver that could start in three receiver leagues. That's Antonio Williams. Yes. You have two safe options in Malik Washington and Kendrick Borne, that we've seen already enough of sample size, I think, for both, that you can start them in three receiver leagues. There's probably not a ton of upside that you're going to feel confident in them, starting them in two receiver leagues. Then there's this group of wild card receivers, Jaylen Nol, Jacobi Lane, Casey Concepcion, Jordan Tyson, when he's healthy. Coleol is here. If there's no DJ more coming off there by week. Travis Hunter, potentially, after what we just saw. However, you have them with a sliding scale. You determine what you need for this week, you determine what you think can be happening long-term. You can't start Jacobi Lane this week with any. Not with these other names, no. I agree. I don't think you're starting Jaylen Nol this week with Tankdale coming back and the uncertainty there. I think you can. Harrison's going to play more snaps this week, but there's just now a three game sample size of what Nol's done, where they seem to like him a lot. Yeah. And CJ Stroud is. He's got 12 targets in those three games. It's not about the targets, though. It's about when he's on the field and when he's getting an opportunities. That's why he is where he is. In terms of priorities on the list, and I think we're going to see him rank. You can't say you're starting him, but the way that they're going to operate, especially with Harrison and Niko on the field, he's going to get a lot of easy opportunities and so when he's getting those opportunities, he's catching in on them right now. I can't imagine he'll play less with Tankdale coming back because I don't think Tankdale will play that much. Well, Jaylen Nol's another guy, 70% slot rate. So. Yeah. That's his role. That's a good role. All right. We got to move forward here. Can we all agree that if you don't need any? The only reason why I brought up Jacobi Lane's name is because we hadn't talked about him yet. It's not like I really like him at the top, it's like the third receiver to get, but I do like the idea of getting him now for when Lamar comes back. The guy with the most upside on the waiver wire at this position. That's a great question. Harrison? That would be up there. Yeah. Hammer Cooper. Or Williams, the three rookies. Yeah. Okay. All right. Let's get the top three tight ends from Mr. Dave Richard. I think Tarris Ferguson would be the first one if you don't need somebody this week. If you need somebody this week, it's not a great list in some order. And I think I'd have Michael Mayer first and he's available 87% of leagues. And then assuming that TJ Hawkinson plays, we're not 100% sure that he's going to play, I would probably roll with him next and then Hunter Henry third. But that's if you need somebody for this week. I like stashing Ferguson. I like stashing Chico Conquo. Now, Conquo might actually be the better stash than Ferguson just because we know when like Conquo is healthy and all that stuff and we're assuming Terry McClure won't be back anytime soon. And he's had a pretty solid role for the commanders. Yeah. It's that it's such an obvious path there. Jamie has a very different list of this week. His number one priority is Hunter Henry. And who's number two for you? Chico Conquo and Michael Mayer. It's I guess it's not that different. Just the orders. There's different order. Which is fine. And now let's talk about some defense. It's time for coverage you can count on sponsored by Nationwide. Just like your fantasy roster is more than just your offensive starters. Nationwide is a great insurance company and one of America's largest financial services companies. So don't forget about the defensive side of the ball. And remember, Nationwide is on your side. And Jamie, DST to stream this week. Yeah. The Cleveland Browns. They get the Titans on the road and the Browns have been a little bit beat up defensively but we know what this Tennessee offense has been. We know what Kim Ward has been. There's an opportunity here for the Browns DST to be a top 12 if not top 10, maybe even top five DST. It's not a great week given some of the matchups. But I think just looking at what the Browns have done and hopefully we'll do in this matchup, you can get by with with them 49ers are coming off a little bit of a disappointing game against Washington with some late production. But I think they're in the mix against Atlanta. And then the Jets take on the Dolphins. That's always been set up. That's kind of been a good formula for success just banking against Dolphins. So the Jets defense, not exactly great, but could be a streaming option. And then just one more that's not listed in a similar situation. The Cardinals are coming off of a very strong game against the Rams defensively and they're taking on Bonyx and that's struggling offense. So the Cardinals are available in a lot of leagues. You could pivot to them as well. Any love for the Bengals who are out there in about 70% of leagues, assuming that Lamar does not come back this week. Yeah, you could put them, I think I have them in the top 12, I have them behind all three of these defenses. And they're one of those teams that has been very jekyll and hide in terms of their performances as we think so far this season. I think if Lamar plays, they'd be hands off for me. If Tyler Huntley plays, then they'd be in the streaming conversation. But I would still prefer the Browns, the 49ers and even the Hicks. I got a couple of sleepers for you that I like this week at DST. I like the Texans against the Giants and the Vikings against the Colts sleepers. I think they're going to show you what the Broncos in there against Cardinals. I don't like them as much as I mean, just to have those two GSTs against those turnover pro teams. You'll see it in the projections, but if some people might have dropped the Vikings defense during their buy. Yeah, they're 90 some odd person. Yeah, I mean, I doubt you'll see it, but if they're there, obviously you know what to do. I saw a few people pick the Vikings up throughout the week and I was like, oh, damn it, I missed that. Anyway, that was coverage you can count on sponsored by Nationwide. Nationwide is so much more than a great insurance company. They're one of America's largest financial companies too. Take your game to the next level with Nationwide for your insurance and financial needs. Nationwide is on your side. Nationwide investment services corporation, member Finra, Columbus, Ohio. And finally, Jamie, let's get the kickers to stream. Yeah, we got. Will Riker Thomas is favorite guy in Will Riker, taking on the Colts. He's been awesome. There's Boswell who was on this list last week, had a very strong game against Tampa Bay. It's good matchup against New Orleans. And then Evan McPherson, we always get the benefit of some of these top end kickers when they were dropped coming off a buy week. And so hopefully he picks up where he left off and does well against the Ravens. One of the dumbest moves I've made this year was going, well, I've got Arizona kicker Chad Ryland and he's facing the Rams. They could get shut out in this game. I'm going to drop Chad Ryland. We went six for six last week and probably won some people, some fantasy leagues. All right, take a break. Get to the shallow leagues and the deep leagues when we come back and recap it last night's game. And the drop-o-meter, you know the drill will be right back. So pie in the sky, Jamie, all the shallow leaguers, the guys who are rostered, you know, 75% 80% of leagues on CBS, but maybe much more available on Yahoo, ESPN, sleeper. Who are the best ones to get? A lot of them are at wide receiver, but I'll go for them position by position a quarterback. There's only one guy that I listed in the column that's Kirk Cousins, 75% roster.
heard. Listen, the schedule coming up is brutal. Rams, Jets, 49ers, Seahawks, Broncos, Browns. That's all before the buy in week 13. He's been good in some tough matchups as we've seen so far the season. So may not get the highs from him. You also have the risk of Fernando Mendoza taking over at some point. But clearly, Kurt Cousins is playing well and hopefully continues to do so for fantasy managers who are currently rostering him at running back. Not the best list of names. But Jordan Mason is the headliner, mentioned that he's coming back at him. Hopefully he's going to have a prominent role. I think Aaron Jones deserves the right to be the starter. And you didn't mention the report that they may be looking for running back via trade. But for right now, Mason led the teaming carries in the two games in the one game that both guys were healthy. And so hopefully Mason comes back and can at least handle a lot of the rushing down work. It feels like Aaron Jones needs a break. I think he made that joke on Sunday. He's been playing through what feels like a couple of minor injuries, but playing very well. You have Alan Camara, who, you know, for what is worth score three touchdowns in the last in two of the last three games. Damian Pierce could be the starter for the Eagles once again, gave you 15 PPR points. Rico Dattles going to have his role could expand if they want to, but obviously a lottery ticket in case something I was dealing with Warren. And then Tyler Algier, just for the desperate fantasy manager of Jeremiah Love does not play once again. Receiver, though, has a lot of great names. The headliner there, Jeremy Bernard, 75% rostered. Make sure he's 100% rostered as 21. Shad White and Jeremy Bernard on the way. It's not even close Bernard should be the number one player to add if he's still available. What about some number two might be, huh? About digs. I would take Bernardo over digs, but they're definitely close. Digs has, you know, been very good in three of the five healthy games that he's played so far this season. And now you know that there's going to be no time of glory, and most likely no time of glory. And for the rest of the season, Debo Samuel probably not going to play in week seven. They have their buying week eight coming back from week nine. You alluded to this Mike Evans may have an injury that could linger. Samuel over 15 PPR points in three of his four healthy games this season. Keenan Allen, I think, is in the conversation to be the most added player as well. He's had 29 targets, nine in each game. Since Alex Pierce has gone down, he's been great in two of those games. As Dave said, I think we could all agree. He's the best cults receiver, at least for the foreseeable future in Tyler Warren may not play. In week seven as well, Jordan Addison, only one good game had happened without Justin Jefferson on the field. But let's see what he looks like in a full game with Kyler Murray at tight end. I think you got to put Tyler Higby in the conversation just because of what he's done three of the last four games, 11 or more PPR points. So while Terrence Ferguson, not healthy, you have Higby, you know, I think should have a big role. Dispointing from the last week and obviously Kobe Parkinson scored a touchdown, but Higby still will be a go-to guy from Matthew Stafford. Kyle Pitts has been awesome in the last two weeks. Hopefully that's a sign of thanks to come. Should be considered a starter. At least for this week and we'll see what happens moving forward. And I want to give up on Pat Frymouth. I wonder how much the calf injury bothered him. Last game popped him on the injury port prior to facing the Bucks, miserable game. The two games prior to that. He was over 10 PPR points and the Saints are top six and most fantasy points allowed the tight end. So could bounce back before he takes on Cleveland again in week eight. Two running backs that I wanted to ask you about for the shallow leagues and they're on the same team. Zach Sharbinay, Jardin Price. Yeah, Sharbinay didn't have to sit there. You did not, but he's a roster, 85% of C. Oh, that's right, because he's a roster into me league. Right, right, right. But we talked about it before like he's around 60% on other platforms. So double check him and then prices on IR, he'll eventually come back. I guess my train of thought is that price will be in the Walker role and Sharbinay will be in the Sharbinay role. And that's not the worst thing in the world. And if he's a free agent in your shallow league, then Jardin Price could be worth the ad. Okay. So just on that note, Mike asked in the chat, is Emmanuel some drop bull? No. Yeah, not yet. But what was I going to say? Oh, we'd rather have pits or Higby. Pits. Okay. Well, what are we doing here, Dave? Kyle Pits? No, no, no, no, these guys revealed Kyle Pits. Everybody's gay. No, these guys are building my league idiot with a deep way, guys. I like how you use Kyle Pits to transition into the prospector saying that nobody's available in your league. All right, I'll go position by position as well. Your favorites. Well, Omar Cooper is going to be the favorite because he's available in 90% of leagues. Ferguson is a good stash. He's available in 86% of leagues. Tyrone Tracy is available in 90% of leagues. At receiver, we were in the middle of playing King of the Hell and then you decided to get away from it. But Jayla, out there in 93% of leagues, I don't, do we talk much about Ryan Flanoi and Christian Kirk? I don't know if we did. I don't know if we really need to, but Flanoi. Okay. Good. Well, Flanoi's out there in 92%. If you need somebody that's a candidate to get you double digit PPR points and maybe a little bit more, he's there. Same thing with Christian Kirk. We think that Christian Kirk will come off of IR and be ready to go for week number seven for the 49ers who are a little bit thin at wide receiver and then Tyden, Michael Mayer, 87% available. Ferguson obviously is out there in the Colby part. Let's just name, let's name every single Rams Tyden because Colby Parkinson's also out there in 97% look. If you're in a super deep league, you're going to take shots on these types of guys and someone's going to step up. I think it'll be Ferguson. Higby obviously has the track record. Parkinson had a stretch last year. You can make a case for all of them. And then lastly, and maybe even most importantly, if you're thinking long term, it's Chico Conquo, who's out there in almost 90% of CBS sports leagues. Did you say P. Ryan is someone, I don't know how roster I did not say P. Ryan. And he's an interesting one for sure to just stash. I don't know if I'm really psyched about starting him. So the thing with I haven't given the 60% roster. Yeah. Right. Right. I haven't given these numbers, but I know it's obvious. Devante Adams out. Tyden's are probably going to benefit, but just to put it on paper in week two in Pukinacoo was out. Terence Ferguson had six catches, 54 yards in a touchdown on nine targets in week three. When was that? Well, was everyone because staff are through 55 times at Denver. Yeah. But it's Higby because I think I'm pretty sure Ferguson got hurt early in that game. Higby had 11 targets. Eight catches, 62 yards in a touchdown on 11 targets. Mom feels had a very low target share. He hasn't really done that much yet. That big catch against the Broncos, but again, 55 pass attempts. That was eight targets. Thank you. Okay. Yeah. The target share though, pretty low. He did run 78% of the routes. He had a 16.3% target share, but Higby out targeted him. And then Momfield in week two with Buka out, only had two targets at the Giants. He had a seven percent target share. I want to give you two more running backs that are out there in shallow leagues that you can speculate on. Okay. Yeah. All right, I'm sorry. Deep leaks. Deep leaks. Your leaks. I'm sorry to confuse you, old man. Roshan Johnson, just as long as Kyle Manon guys out, he's got a role in Chicago. He's available in 92% of leagues. And then bam night was back in our universe last week and looked better as a runner than Tyler Algier, which is kind of sad when you think about what commitment was made to Tyler Algier this off season, available in 98% of leagues. So yes, as it is a deep league manager, sir, there are a lot of options that running back this week that can help you out. And that's rare. So enjoy waivers this week in your deep leagues. Yeah. He looked so much better than Tyler Algier. Yeah. That's past week. Okay. And the 49ers looked a lot better in the first half with Mike Evans than they did in the second half, where they were really bad, really bad offensively. I think they may have had three straight three in outs at one point. Oh, they had two straight. But San Francisco wins it 23 to 17. Jadon Daniels, two, it's just nice to see Jadon Daniels playing really well. He's just a good quarterback. And he barely ran yesterday. He's still scored 25 fantasy points. He's going into his buy. But you know, tough schedule coming out of the break. But Jadon Daniels is very good. We talked about Rashad White and all the receiver. Like, who if you think digs is going to be the best receiver for them going forward? Is that an easy call? Yes. Yeah. He was better than McCormon so far. Yeah. He just doesn't play in that much, but he gets targeted hyper targeted when he's on the field. On the anything to say on the 49er side? I mean, clearly the receiving core is a mess. And so if they don't have Evans and they don't have Debo, which is most likely going to be the case for Debo, we'll see about Evans because he's played through, you know, a myriad of injuries so far this season, specifically the pain of the rib injury. But they do have their buy coming up in week eight, so they might decide to sit him against the Falcons. If there's no Christian Kirk, you got to look at Brandon Cooks. He would be probably the guy I would favor the most. It's, it's ugly. Watkins would be next, but he only has three targets on the season. So you're looking at two guys that haven't been heavily involved. Now they probably go more 12 and 13 personnel and involve their backup tight ends. Remember, it's not Tonjas. So he's out for the season. So you saw a lot of McCaffrey. You'll see a lot more Caleb Black. They'll probably be really conservative. It's going to be tough to trust Brock party. You're still going to start him, but he's not going to have the same ceiling if there's no Evans and there's no anybody else. Now Kirk was I think up until game time, you know, they definitely took it to Monday to decide if they were going to activate him and probably it was, hey, if Evans can go, Kirk will keep him out one more week. If Evans is out, maybe they're going to activate Kirk. So he's a very intriguing labor wire guy. George Kittle on the post game interview on ESPN.
and was talking about how excited it is to see Christian Kirk finally play. So just another name to keep in mind there, that could be pretty important for this team. - If you are interested in knowing, Brandon Cooks had a 47% route rate last night, whereas Jordan Watkins was on the field of time. He actually led the Niners, Evans got hurt, 91% route rate. - But I wonder, I don't know, I'm much longer, we have to wait for Dijon's tripling. And I wonder if they-- - He was out 10 weeks when he got hurt, so. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, so, I mean, we're halfway there. - I wonder if Jawan Jennings, they try and make amends with him and get him from Minnesota. - Good call. - Come back just 'cause he knows the offense, he's healthy now. Could he be a factor? Hey, that's another guy you could add in your deep league if you got the spot. - I love it. - I sounded like Red Fox there. - Yeah, that was good. - You also could get a Brian Thomas trade too. I mean, that's a team that he's been sort of connected to. - In the second half, by the way, they only ran like 10 routes, the receivers, but Wackens ran nine of them, Kittle and Cooks both ran eight of them. So Cooks barely played, I guess, in the first half, but in the second half, he had an 80% route rate with Evans out. Okay, let's do the drop-o meter. Zero to 10, Harold Fanon Jr. - Four five. - Dalton Kincaid. - Four four. - Omarian Hampton. - Three, two. - Okay, Jaylen Waddle. - What was that okay for? - I mean, what am I holding onto the one of the most useless, I am gonna hold on him, 'cause, you know, what if this is a running back? - Okay, that's not a good one. - You drop Omarian Hampton, and then the alter, the Bizarro Azer, goes to his waiver wire and sees Omarian Hampton and Kendrick Miller, who are you picking up? You need to run him back this week. - Well, this week it has to be. - I'm sorry, you need to run him back this week. - Right. - Yeah, I go Hampton. - Yeah, but don't you. - That's why you don't drop Hampton. - You see Hampton and Rashad White, who are you picking up? I would pick up White. - Yeah, I would pick up White. - You see Hampton and Tyrone Tracy, who are you picking up? - Hampton. - So, I mean, this is what you're comparing him to. - Right, it's just this fear of dropping him going, all right, they're going in there by a week. Maybe they just decided to change things up and try to feature him again, but I don't really see it happening. He's been, it's almost like you drop him because you want someone in your league to pick him up and then you laugh at that person for the rest of the year. - You definitely can do it. Could be a spy drop or what those Paul charts call it. - Oh, I don't know. - The sabotage drop. I believe he's what he's coined in France. Like you're dropping him to ruin somebody else's name. - Jalen Waddle, zero to 10. - Zero. - Two. - Roma Dunzay. - He's the white receiver version of Hampton. - Yeah. - You can still see it with him. Like you can at least still see talent with Jalen Waddle. - Roma Dunzay. - Oh, Dunzay. - Three. - Yeah, two, three. - New England and Seattle next to games for a Dunzay. Jawan Johnson. - Zero. I was going to say five. - No, I didn't ask Jamie how many points he scored last week. I was asking. - Drop him. - Yeah, I mean, one bad game we're getting rid of. - Yeah. It's a two bad games in a row now. 5.6 fantasy, but that one was against Minnesota. Josh Down. - Going back. Josh Downs is the, he's like a seven and non-PPR and like a four and full PPR. - Dallas Goddard. - Zero. - Zero. - I think Tana McKee might be the worst quarterback in football. - You're about to see a rest of season with Jay-Jamaically and James Winston, buddy. So buckle up. - He can't move and he can't throw. - It's better than that he's awesome. But they do have Dallas Washington in the game. - He doesn't have to be awesome. - He has to do exactly what he did this weekend. Hyper target, the Vante Smith. Keep Dallas Goddard float and make sure the running back doesn't poop himself. - Yeah. All right, well, back to the waiver wire. Kirk Cousins, you mentioned as a shallow lead guy. Would you take Kyler Murray and Aaron Rogers and Michael Pentax Jr. over Kirk Cousins? - So for this week, yes, Murray's coming off his body. You don't have to worry about that anymore. Upcoming schedule is great. Rogers, this week and next week, since he's already beat up the Browns, I think you can consider him as a starter, better schedule, than Cousins. So yes, I would. I would still start Cousins over Pentax. - And Baker Mayfield's a guy that you might want to stash. - Look, his start of the season was awful, right? Two games, he was bad and then he hurts his thumb late in the third game. One of those games against Cleveland, which we underestimated their defense, one was against Minnesota. So it's not like it's been an easy schedule for him. Upcoming schedule is much easier. - And then there's JJ McCarthy and two QB leagues, 5% rostered and Tanner McKee, 10% rostered. And the schedule is just so good for him and he threw 45 passes. That's what you're hoping that he's going to throw a lot. That's about it. You know, I just wanted to throw Geno Smith. Do you guys have any interest in Geno Smith against the Dolphins? - Yeah, as a one week guy. It's not the worst pick in the world. I mean, he's not 12. - The next week is the Raiders and they've given up 21 or more points to. - It's an edge game. - Yeah, yeah. So he's got a good schedule. But I think it's starting to struggle just a little bit. Like him and Smith and Cousins, I feel like things are, you know. - You mean what the career's up in? What is that noise? - I just feel, I don't want to say it, but I'm going to say it. I'm a little worried that the wheels are falling off for Cousins and Geno, but we'll say. 'Cause they got off the really good starts. All right, running back, you got the shallow guys who are Mason, Camera, Damien, Pierce, Rico Dowdall, Tyler, Alger, Mike Washington. I don't think I can really make a case to pick up Alger because I think Bam Knight might be better than him. - He just had 19 touches, you know. So if they're going to give any run, you're going to get any running back any that much work, there's potential for production. So yeah, you can make a case Knight is better. - Yeah, I did have a lot of touches, man. Well, they had 36 touches, those two guys. - 37. - That's wild. Okay. Was it 37? - Yeah, it was 18 for Knight, right? - I have it 17 for Knight. - I'm sorry. - Geno. - How dare you? - Jamie, when he was in his 40s, he could do that math. Rashad, why it's our favorite? Jonah, we haven't talked about Jonah Coleman, he's number two on the list for you. - So Elge will return this week. I have not heard one word about it. I did a bunch of research trying to find anything and there's just a bunch of speculation like, oh, he could come back. But the last time we saw him, I know there was injuries. He was the best broccoli running back. This is an offense that needs a spark. And so maybe it's hard of you getting more work. Maybe it's just featuring Dobbins a little bit more. But we know the injury history for Dobbins and Coleman could be somebody that plays a strong role when he's healthy. So he'd be the second guy to go get these other guys. There's just like Kendra Miller, I have no interest in unless I'm absolutely desperate. Tyler Algier, Bamm Knight, no interest in unless I'm absolutely desperate. Jalimog off on Pier Strong could be very good because of injuries or just the lack of Josh Jacob's playing. But it feels like Judgins and Jacob's gonna play this week. I would move on from Mars on Lloyd and just go with Pier Strong. He looked the best of the Packers running backs against Dallas. And he's gonna play a lot because it was a role in the passing game. So if you're just looking at, okay, which Packers running back should I have roster? If there is no Jacob's this week for me, it would be strong. So there's just not a lot of great options at that position this week. I don't have any interest for Josh Johnson. For example, you know, these type of guys just don't, you know, are, if you're completely stuck, you're playing these guys with the hope that they may be falling to the end zone. By week. Tracy is interesting because of the uncertainty for the Giants. I would guess that Skataboo gets back into the lead role. Whether he's the most productive, that remains to be seen. After what Harbaugh said about somebody going out and trying to prove that they're the guy who ever he phrased it, it could be Tracy. You know, he played a season nine, 29% of the snaps, or a season nine, 29 snaps. And most touches that he had and he comes through with a couple of touchdowns. So you give this that about what he did last season. There's reason for optimism here, especially knowing that when they came into camp before they signed Naji Harris, Tracy was fumbling, but he was expected to be in potentially a shared role with Skataboo. So that's one that if you don't need to, hey, maybe the Brown situation or hey, maybe, you know, Jacob's doesn't play, or hey, maybe Kendrick Miller because he's going to get a lot of work, or hey, maybe this, or hey, maybe that. Like, Tracy is somebody that you can stash and just see what develops. - They've got to have one of the worst schedules moving forward just in terms of like yards per carry allowed. It's Houston, then it's a buy. Then it's Philadelphia, they're okay against the run. Then Washington, Jacksonville, it's later on, it's San Francisco, Seattle and Cleveland. You know, so it's tough, but if he's catching pass, I think that's the thing you should be at it, but it is tough for Tracy. - Right, yeah. - Okay. - Okay, and then let's go to a wide receiver, I guess, and I'm missing anyone. I feel like I had a follow up question, but for you, no, you know, I'm just going to say, I can't really dismiss Kendrick Miller like that. It's 20 carries. So. - They were up 24 points in the fourth quarter. He couldn't find the end, so with all the tries that they gave him, he did score the week before with 10 carries against Minnesota for what's that, for what that's worth. But what's the long-term appeal here? - No, there's not, but if I need-- - There's not. - For this week, I think there's a decent amount of appeal. - Against Pittsburgh? - Well, look, it's the fact that the Saints are hopefully going to move the ball, and he's the guy who's going to score most likely. He's the most likely running back to score. - Yeah. - There's also a chance that Alvin Cameras banged up, 'cause he didn't finish the game last week, and if he ends up not playing, then Kendrick Miller could see a larger workload. - Well, getting nine carries for 19 yards in the fourth quarter. He is not some sort of great talent. It's simply the opportunity.
He's another guy that if you just need somebody for this week, you know he's going to get work. What he does with that work, it's going to be nothing in the passing game. He's the definition of a trap back. He's just going to get a lot of carries, no catches. And I think he's the definition of a trap back because he's the goal line back. If he's the goal line back there. But they have to go or to be productive. Right. But at least he gets to the score. They're you sitting Tyler Shock this week because I feel like you know, I don't think he's going to score. He scored two touchdowns this season. I don't think he's going to score, but if we're talking about being desperate at running back, I don't, I can't just dismiss Kendra Miller, I, you know, I agree with you. If you use the appropriate work, if you're desperate, if you're not desperate, then pick up Jonah Coleman, pick up Tyrone Tracy, you, you dismissed Somaj P. Ryan who had 14 carries last time we saw him and chase Brown's things right now in terms of running the ball. So are we going to get more P. Ryan moving forward, which would be absolutely disgusting and miserable. But that could be what the, the Bengals are thinking. So either either have Miller this week. Right. But if I don't need somebody for this week, then I'd rather have Somaj P. Right. I agree. Yeah. The, the simple question is if you need a running back for this week, then Kendra Miller, I think is your best, your safest option because you know he's going to play. There's obviously a world where Jeremiah Love still sits out and you could see BAM night having another decent game Denver's had a hard time. Yeah. If you're going, if you're going that route, I would go with McLaughlin with the chance that there's no Judkins and I would go with Pierre Strong if the chance that Jacob doesn't play. Oh, I just really feel like there's going to be Judkins this week. So I would agree. Wanna wait. So then I'm on McLaughlin, who's not even the goal line back. No theory. All right. Wide receiver. I think we've covered pretty sufficiently here. But one guy we haven't really talked about in shallow relieves is Trey Tucker. Would you get rid of Tucker coming off this huge game for Omar Cooper, Jr. and Demario Douglas? I think it depends on what your team needs. There's more, probably say, for floor with those guys Cooper and Douglas, Tucker has two amazing games, two monstrous games with over 20 PPR points and the other four, he's been under eight PPR points or under nine PPR, excuse me, 8.5 or less in the other four games. So the true definition, the prototypical boomer bust wide receiver three and the schedule coming up is not exactly favorable for that. He just did it again Buffalo, which is kind of why we were excited about him a little bit for this matchup. So I don't think you necessarily need to hold on to him, but you know, you've illustrated, I think we all have, and I Mitchell better, Garrett Wilson for Cooper and what the pitfalls could be there for him. And as Dave said, we fall on for just receivers in the past, you have the guys getting healthy in New England and what that could mean for Douglas, who, I think you both said seemingly with some certainty that he's definitely number two in terms of targets. I wouldn't be surprised if Henry is number two in targets, just giving the matchup that he has this week against the Bears. So, you know, we could see a bad game for, for Demaro Douglas as well. All right. Yeah. Well, let's, let's go to the tight ends as we've talked a lot about the wide receivers here. And Hunter Henry, like how much do you like him, Jamie? He's your number one guy to get. How would you compare him? He's your number one guy to get that's rostered in less than 65% of leagues. But how would you compare him to Kyle Pitz and Tyler Higby? There's definitely more outside with Pitz, so I'd rather have Pitz. He's ahead of Higby for me, just because of, I think the uncertainty of what we're going to see for the Rams passing game and certainly for the tight ends because it's not just Higby, it's Colby Parkinson, and as Dave is out, you know, he's going to get his chances as well. So there's going to be that three-headed monster that they use. And then as, you know, we've talked about Terrence Ferguson as coming back. So I think just in the case of Henry for one week, and it really shouldn't just be considered one week because there's all these moving parts with the Patriots receiving quite right now. He's been 11 PPR points or more in three straight games. Now, the targets haven't exactly been there for him, but this is the guy that was extremely productive last year for Drake May. And the way just things have fallen right now, no dobs for at least three more games. For four more games, no Hollins for two more games. AJ Brown hopefully shook all the rust off and is back to being AJ Brown, and then it's Brown Douglas and Henry and some order in terms of who's getting targets. But this is an offense that has featured the tight end for many, many years, and Henry right now is just, you know, sort of living in that low end starting range. And Dave, you prefer Michael Mayer over Henry? In full PPR, I do. We've seen Mayer have a 20% target share in two of his past three games. They were both high scoring losses for the Raiders. I don't know if this is going to be a high scoring loss for the Raiders, but I figure it's going to be a high scoring game. The only game where he was really bad, his route rate was down against New England. And we've seen New England make teams change how they use their tight ends. Like I think back to that Buffalo game with Dalton Concade, how they were like double teaming him and kind of beating him up and Buffalo ended up taking him off the field. I wonder if something like that played into why Mayer didn't get more work against New England. Now he's taken on the Rams. I look at this Rams defense. I don't know if Tremac Duffy is going to play. The defensive line is, as we'll have back ups, I'm going to have to study the guys that are going to replace the guys who are out. And that might make the match up easier for Cousins and when Cousins is throwing a lot. And it might make the match up actually easier for Gentie to finally have a decent rushing average. But if this game ends up being high scoring, I imagine that Mayer will get more targets and more catches than Hunter Henry. They just eliminated tight ends, though. They are the best against tight ends. I mean, it's easy. Yeah. I just, they're going to put all their focus on stopping Michael Mayer when Brock Bowers is on that team. Mayer is the tight end. Bowers is a receiver. That's just the way that this team is operating right now. So if you're just looking at it and what they've done to the true tight end position, they just held McBride to seven for 53. It's amazing what they do. Okay. Likely five catches, 33 yards on 10 targets. Yeah. This is just the worst matchup, but Michael Mayer, I mean, maybe I'm just thinking about what the Raiders do and how they operate. Michael Mayer. Again, I said at the top of the show, the Rams are third best. The Jets are fifth best, but they got to expose a little bit last week. Henry had a touchdown. The 49ers are second best, but Chigel Conkel just had a good game against them. Seattle's fourth best. I think it's probably not as nearly as tough as it is on paper for Michael Mayer, but I would say this week probably is. And then after that, I wouldn't be too worried. I think it's more of a competition. Now the Jets have faced some tough tight ends, but I don't know. All right. Also fair to say that Henry, if both these guys are out there, Henry would be the more popular option. So you don't have to spend as much fab to get mayor, but Henry's already rostered in half of CBS leagues, mayors out there in a ton of leagues. Stasjo Conkel, we can stash Terrence Ferguson, Paul Parkinson, Tommy Tremble, starting to run more routes than Darren Waller. And he has four to five targets in four of five games. Dave mentioned TJ Hawkinson, just he's really only had one good game. And I was Jefferson was out in that game. Jefferson was out. Yeah. So we'll see what happens. Dalton Shultz. He's a check down guy for jittery Kyler Murray. Would you move on from Dalton Shultz? Yeah. And all the other receivers that have been stepping up for Houston, I think CJ Stroud has moved on from Dalton Shultz has won good game this season. It was week two. And would you want to stash Brenton's strange 70% roster? Yeah. I think the notes I sent you had him as a drop. And I took them off the list because he's been great, we've been solid for three straight games, two games, he was awesome. This is a very up and down receiving core as we've seen Jacoby Myers finally reemerged last week. They've got Travis Hunter involved, Brian Thomas Jr. is on a back of a mill cart and we don't know where he is. So we'll see what happens coming off of there by week. I would like to see them trade Brian Thomas and give him an opportunity to play someplace off. Texans. Bring them all over. They're not going to trade them there. Yeah, now he's just he's the next Marvin Harrison Jr. All right. We'll be back tomorrow. We trade him there. Arizona. Yeah. There you go. DST's Browns 49ers and Jets. Also the Cardinals worth a look. Kickers, Will Rikers, Chris Boswell, Evan McPherson, Dave and Jamie, I'm Adam. Talk to you at noon Easter on CBS Sports Network. See you later. Paramount podcasts.
