Week 7 Start Sit Advice (Part 1) | MUST-Start Players & Big Names to AVOID (10/22 Fantasy Football Podcast)

The fantasy football segment features deep analysis of key matchups and player selections by Heath, Jamie, and Adam. They emphasize high-potential players beyond traditional must-starts, such as Braille and Allen for the Jets, Kyler Murray against the Colts, and Rocheon Johnson and Kirk Cousins as flex or starting options. The hosts highlight matchups where offensive strategies align with defensive weaknesses—such as the Bears’ run game against the Patriots and the Steelers’ wide receivers against a struggling Saints secondary. They also address injury updates and practice statuses, noting that players like Pat Freiermuth and Breeze Hall could return with significant upside. However, several players are flagged for risk, including Keenan Allen, Colston Loveland, and Michael Wilson, due to poor defensive matchups or injury history. The discussion underscores the importance of flexibility in drafting, especially in games with injury concerns or volatile backfields. A recurring theme is the need to balance roster depth with strategic positioning, particularly in leagues with strict bench requirements. The hosts also touch on broader issues like fantasy league rules, such as the mandatory five-bench rule in FFT open, which can lead to zero-point penalties if not managed. Ultimately, the analysis blends data-driven insights with player narrative, offering a balanced yet personalized approach to fantasy football strategy.

>> This is Fantasy Football today from CBS Sports. >> So what a play! >> Can you believe this? >> It's a no again. >> It's time to dominate your fantasy league. >> To the races, play stays on his feet. >> Just gotta have the distance. >> Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath. [MUSIC] >> All right, let's get into starter six. >> For week seven, very excited for tonight's game, but we have seven other games to talk about. AFC Home Games mostly, Kansas City at Seattle. It's not an AFC Home game, I promise most of them are. Cincinnati at Baltimore. Giants at Houston, Pittsburgh at New Orleans in Paris. Miami is at the Jets. The Rams are at the Raiders. Cleveland is at Tennessee. >> The game we've all been waiting for. >> Good morning, Jamie. >> Good morning. >> Good morning, Heath. >> Hey Adam. >> Heath, I love what you're doing tonight. You being risky with the players you love. >> Well, I thought that instead of just giving guys that I've used as Must Arts, I should talk about some guys that I'm higher on than anybody else. And I think some of them are from games that we're not talking about today. So that'll be good. >> Okay, perfect, yeah. And yeah, all right, we'll get into it. >> I mean, I feel like I needed to add something extra to the show because you made your importance really shown yesterday. And why you make this show so great. And so I'm trying to try and to up my game a little bit. >> It's when everyone to know. >> Well, it's not true about my socks. But my clothing today is completely intact. My socks have plenty of holes in them, unfortunately. >> What have you got to show it now? >> Did you sleep in the clothes you were wearing? >> I don't really think that's relevant if we're being honest. >> That's the hoodie, you slept in the hoodie that you said you sleep in. >> I did, there's a different hoodie. But yes, I did sleep in this hoodie. >> Can we see? >> Come on, man. >> Nobody wants to see your socks. >> What? That's not a hole, that's a crater. >> I don't know, it happened yesterday. I don't know. >> We got a busy show. >> Yeah, wait a little while. >> That happened yesterday and you're still wearing them? Let's get into the players we love, brought to you. >> My god. >> [LAUGH] >> What, Jamie, please show that again. If you do have any of my socks, I'd hold on them. >> That's not a hole, that's not a sock. >> That was everyone. >> This is a bit, you did this on purpose. >> No, I did it, I did it. >> Dude. >> Let's get into the players we love. >> I'm sending you socks right now, that's horrible. >> I've been talking to my wife, but I got to order socks to get order socks that I never do. >> I just, it's funny you said it, cuz I just went, I had to get my son cleats. And my wife was like, oh, can you get me some socks, cuz she needs some socks. I'm like, you know, I probably need some socks too. So, I bought socks, I'm just gonna order you socks. >> Okay. >> I can you do bombas, I like bombas. >> Bombas are the best. >> That's a good point from Tony, like you might be warmer in your house if you just wore clothing that didn't have holes in them. >> That's incredible. >> I'm gonna wear them that much, yes, all right, anyway, let's get into players we love. >> What a hole. >> Brought to you by Stitchfix. If you're like me and clothes shopping, Stitchfix has you covered. Get styled today at stitchfix.com/football. Jamie, give me players you love this week. >> Braille and Allen, baby, let's go. >> Bombas, Nike, whatever, socks. Please send this man some socks, my gosh, you're gonna have to go fun to be set up for this anyway. >> Yeah, Braille and Allen, you know the two L's in his name look like two socks. Yeah, he's hopefully gonna be the starter for the Jets from the standpoint of I made him the starter of the week. So that could change obviously a breeze hall play, he's didn't practice on Wednesday. But, you know, Allen's in a great spot, Dolphin's third worst in terms of most fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs. He's 12.4 points or more, each of his last two games. So, should have an opportunity for another strong performance here. And again, just keep an eye on the news and we'll see if breeze hall plays. It's gonna be very interesting to see what they do with Hall. And now we've been talking about this now for a couple of weeks. Once breeze hall is healthy, Aaron Glenn kind of said, you know, breeze is our guy. But I can't imagine that they're gonna, you know, limit Braille and Allen to just a backup role or not giving him maybe 30 to 40% of the touches just because he's been so good. So hopefully that will continue. >> All right, Kyler Murray is another guy you like. So you have Braille and Allen, Kyler Murray and Steelers wide receivers at the same time. >> Yeah, so Kyler, last time we saw him 51 rushing yards, hopefully that's going to be something that's a little bit more consistent for him. Not necessarily 51, but he was in the teens in the first two games that he played. This will be the first time that he has this full complement of weapons because he does not play a full game yet with both, with all three of excuse me, Jordan Addison, Justin Jefferson and TZ Hawkson, everybody's seemingly healthy going into this week. It's a great match up as we know the Colts, not exactly the best in terms of stopping quarterbacks. And they've struggled a little bit with some rushing quarterbacks, Lamar Jackson in week one and Marcus Mario to both those guys ran for 35 yards. So hopefully that will be something for Kyler and Murray once again. And then the last time obviously we saw the two Steelers guys, it was fantastic for Jeremy Bernard and DK Metcalf, Saw Scarner, may play, dealing with the Captain. >> I think we're going to see another game where not to the same degree of targets. Both guys were north of 11 targets. I don't think that will continue as it heath likes is going to be involved as well in past fire moves. But I think we're going to get another strong performance from Aaron Rodgers throwing the ball against the St Secondary. >> You mentioned Saw Scarner there, why, is it me on? >> Sorry, why was I thinking of the Colts? >> Excuse me, the Saints and not exactly the best, I'm all for them. >> You were thinking of the Colts because of Kyler Murray? >> No, no, yeah, yeah, but in the case of the Saints, they're secondary obviously not great. They've given a lot of production to opposing wild receivers and I just want to have it. There's one of my favorite stats for the week when you get there. In regards to multiple receivers having success in the same game, where is it? Oh, one time already this season, they've allowed multiple receivers to get 13.4 PPR points or more. So I think that'll be a good opportunity for both these guys to have six. >> That calf place, that picture looks like you just saw my sock. I'm actually trying to figure out if these are small or medium. I'm going to order new socks like right now. All right, he's taking a different approach to this exercise this week. You're giving us some players that you're higher on than Dave and Jamie are. They're not must-start guys, but you like them more than consensus. >> Yeah, and I have them all ranked as starters if you were in a league that has a flex. So Rocheon Johnson is a high, high in flex for me. Really kind of a borderline RB2. I said to you before the show, I mean, he's very similar in my projections to Remundri Stevenson and Josh Jacobs. I think you're going to get probably 10 to 15 touches. This Bears run offense. I think if you look at the matchup against the Patriots tonight and the Bears run offense against the Patriots run defense. The Bears pass offense against the Patriots pass defense. I think the matchup is better for the run offense for the Chicago Bears. Rocheon had a fantastic game last week, had five catches the game before. He's had almost exactly the same role as Kyle Menongai, 40% snap share playing every other drive. A very good flex, maybe an RB2. I hate the fact that I have to make the Rocheon, Josh Jacobs decision in multiple leagues. And I'm probably just going to split it. Kirk Cousins against the Rams. The Rams defense is very good. Kirk Cousins has played several good defenses and produced a lot of fantasy points against most of them. This is a guy who leads the NFL and passing touchdown with 14. I think he's tied with someone, but I don't know who it is. Averaging 260 pass yards per game. And that includes week one when he only threw for 170 yards and an easy win against the dolphins. I think Kirk Cousins is just a top 12 quarterback. I would start him over Caleb Williams tonight, which seems insane to some people. But I'd also start him over Tyler Schuck, who I'm going to talk about in just a moment. And then Pat Freiermuth last week was a big let down. I think we get a big bounce back. Remember, he was placed on the injury report at the very end of the week with that tight calf. And I was very encouraged to see that he was a full participant in their most recent practice. Not on the injury report. Pat Freiermuth should be a full go. Aaron Rodgers should have a great day. And I like his chances of getting into the end zone. I'm starting him over Colson Loveland and Kyle Pits. You know what Sunday is, right? Oh, it is national Oh, it's national tie today and Todd. Listen to this, dude. This guy named Todd at fantasy football at CBS.com. It is also Pat Freiermuth's birthday on Sunday. Oh, my God. Yeah, it turns 28. I'm too low. You know what would be even better? What if he was from Paris? That would be great. Or if you bought me some socks. All right. So thank you to StitchFix for sponsoring today's players. That's stitchfix.com/football. Johnny, with another note, we miss. Sunday's also change your sock day at Adam's house. Yeah, once a week. Does that once a week? I think that that's not a sock. I played tennis in all these socks and I think I need separate socks for tennis because I think I've basically ripped like all of my socks. It's very bad. players to avoid Heath. So we're looking at Zach Sharbinay Sunday night against Kansas city. Keenan Allen, the Red Hot Keenan Allen at Minnesota at Colson Lovelin tonight. Yeah. Sharbinay is listening, coming back from the ACL, probably a little bit earlier than we expected. I think he's going to eventually be the lead running back for this offense. He might be the lead running back by a very small split this week against the chiefs, but it's not a good matchup. It's a projected low scoring game. He's going to be sharing, and he's probably got a lot of rust to shake off. I wouldn't expect him to be hyper-efficient in this game. I would much rather start Rocheon Johnson, but that's, I think I'm the only one that feels that way. You got to bring him off the pup, put him on your bench, you can start him in a week or two. Who were the other guys? Keenan Allen. I hate this situation. Maybe this is just me wishing it would change, but also it's the Vikings. Their past defense is incredible, and his whole game is based on the fact that he's going to get a bunch of targets. I'm just not sure the Colts are going to be able to stay on the field enough, run enough plays to be able to get him the volume he needs to be a good, he's wide receiver 37. If you have to start him as number three, it's not the end of the world, but I don't think he has any upside at all in this game. The floor is not very high. Either Colston Lovelin against the Patriots. We talked about this a little bit yesterday. They've been incredible against tight ends, except for Brock Ballers, who scored 91% of his fantasy points this season not playing as an inline tight end. Colston Lovelin's about 50/50 in that regard. They've destroyed inline tight ends. I am not super excited about the Bears past game as I said earlier with Caleb, and so I don't want to start Lovelin. Okay, so it's with Minnesota, we'll talk about this game tomorrow. I mean, they're just so few players that I ever want to start against Minnesota, right? And Keenan Allen's not one of them. I mean, no, you know, not no offense to him, but I just feel like Daniel Jones could get benched after this game, because Minnesota's going to just too many. He could get benched during this game. Yeah, get benched for who's up? Anthony Richardson. No, I don't think he's going to be too. It happened to his team. He's not going to go to to Anthony Richardson. Well, I don't know. This is going to be a tough day for any quarterback who's not, you know, like cerebral against Minnesota. It's really tough. So Daniel Jones with the Duke. He said, sit, Zach Charbonne, Keenan Allen and Colston Lovelin. Jamie's sitting Michael Wilson, Patrick Mahomes, and the Saints running backs. Michael Wilson against Denver probably. No, we did get Sir Tan practicing yesterday, but it's the report. It was a report said more likely for week eight for Sir Tan Mahomes at Seattle Sunday night. Saints running backs against Pittsburgh. Yeah. I mean, Wilson's gotten worse since Marvin Harrison left and it's hard to trust him just as a must arc. I clearly are going to still start him in three or three weeks, but unless you're sports line, which is just completely out at this point. So we'll see what happens with Sir Tan. I think if Sir Tan does play where Sports Line has in rank, which is 40th, it's probably closer to our, I'll have him right now. Right now, he's 30, but it's just been frustrating to watch that, you know, Jacobi Brasad is not exactly featuring him to the same level. And when I say that, we saw last year, we saw it in one game this year when Harrison was, was still on team double digit targets. So it's just hasn't been easy for this Cardinals passing attack. And I think just the lack of a run game once again has sort of limited them. So coming off again against the Rams, that's still a really good defense. I know that they were beat up in that in that game. Brock was defense still really good. They're going to be rested after playing last Thursday for the, the previous week. So I think we'll see a situation where Michael Wilson struggles. Once again, Mahomes, Rachi writes to not practice on Wednesday. We saw the, what that looked like a little bit last week. It's the Kenneth Walker show he's facing Seattle. He's going to get a lot of work. I just don't think Mahomes has a high ceiling in this game. We know that Seattle's past defense has been very good for the most partnerly two quarterbacks over 20 fantasy points against them. Brock Perty was one and they got the surprise from Marcus Marigoda. So I don't think Mahomes has a big game here. And then for the Saints, it's just, you know, trying to trust these guys against the, the Steelers defense. Camara has scored three touchdowns, which has saved him two rushing touchdowns in the first game in that Travis H and missed the receiving touchdown last week against the giants. He's basically been 12 total touches or less in each of the last three games. Meanwhile, Kendra Miller has 40 total touches over that span and it scored nine PPR points or less. So it was just tough to figure out which is going to be the better of the two. I would like to avoid the situation if possible, taking on this best for defense. Okay. So just to recap, players we love for Jamie was Braille and Allen. He's the start of the week. Kyler Murray, Steelers wide receivers for Heath. It was low. They're playing the Colts, right? The Steelers? What's that? Colts are playing the Steelers playing the Steelers. Steelers out to Saints in Paris. Roshan Johnson for Heath, Kirk Cousins and Pat Fryer with lower end guys and avoiding for Heath, Charbonne, Keenan Allen, Coulson Loveland for Jamie Michael Wilson, Patrick Mahomes and the Saints running backs. If you get a chance and you want to laugh at my expense, even more, please check out NFL play action on Paramount Plus. It drops about 8 p.m. Eastern on went, well, I don't know about what times in the other time zones, but 8 p.m. and right time zone on Paramount Plus. And I did some exercising today or on yesterday's show and it was very fun. So check it out. If you're a marathon person, Ali Love is the co-host of the shows. And I know she's very popular in the Peloton community. Here's the ad of the day. I really mad at myself for not doing this. Jamie added Fernando Mendoza for $0 in our Super Flex League. I thought that was brilliant, Jamie. And Jason McCarthy by comparison, not to say this was a bad bid, $61. So I'd rather have Fernando Mendoza at zero. Good job. If you're in a Super Flex League, just keep it in mind. Cause it's been a little shaky, completing 60% of his passes over his last three games. You know, because they've lost three in a row, I believe. So it could happen at some point. It's coming. I mean, it's just a matter of when it's happening. You know, it's really more about the wins and losses. He's not playing poorly. No. Okay. No, that Mendoza. I didn't even realize Mendoza was available as a bad job. I mean, I actually, I added McCarthy and I already have three quarterbacks, but we're going to try to get a trade done today. Yeah. And just let's accept or reject my trade in the eliminator league. I'm waiting to see Breeze Hall's practice status today. All right. Fine. Let's, uh, what if we, no, FFT open, I have to tell you, if you're in the FFT open, I have to get this off my ship. Yes. And tell everybody because it's happened twice now. And I'm sorry if you're not in the FFT open. There is a setting where you are required to have five bench players. If you don't have five players on your bench, you have an illegal lineup. And you score zero fantasy points. Twice this year, I've had people, or maybe three times, but at least twice, I've had people email me or the league and say, I can't believe this happened. I got a zero because I didn't have enough players on my bench. They had someone in IR that they could have just put on their bench. So I went and I fixed their lineup, but you have to do this to not Tuesday morning, not Monday night. You got to tell me on Sunday. And why do I have this setting to begin with? Because I don't want people to accidentally not carry enough people on their bench and not realize they had an open bench spot. So it's done to help you to make sure you have that you're rostering as many people as you're capable of rostering. I will never let people lose a week and get a zero because they didn't have enough players on their bench. I will fix that for you. But please, if you see any, any issue with your scoring, any issue and you need my help, 36 leagues on the commissioner up. So help me out. Please don't wait until Monday night or Tuesday. Please tell me as soon as possible that there's an issue. Just message your league and I'll see it. I've never known a commissioner that creates more work for himself than you do. It's just like you're constantly looking for ways to make it harder than it has to be. Look, man, I could be spending my time shopping for socks, but I'd rather help people in the FFT open. I will be right back with your news and notes, one question for each game and seven breakdowns of games after this. Hi, I'm Tony DeCouple. And as anchor of the CBS evening news, I am filled with endless curiosity about our world and our society. Maybe you are too. My new podcast is called Great Question. It's an effort to capture that curiosity and to answer the question you haven't heard a satisfying answer to, or maybe haven't even heard asked. Follow and listen to Great Question with Tony DeCouple wherever you get your podcasts. Listen, it's a Thursday show. We don't have time for a conversation about this ad but I just want you to know the chat hates that rule and I'm with the chat. What rule that you have to have enough bench players on your team or your line up illegal? Well, that's a thing. It's like it hardly ever is an issue, but I don't want. I've been in leagues. It's been a while where I was like, oh, I can carry an extra bench player. I didn't realize that I wasn't at my roster maximum. I'm just trying to help people make sure that they max out their roster. So it's just it's just a guideline. And it's so easy. You see this notification says, you don't have you need a reserve. Just put someone in I R on your reserve or pick someone up. All right. News and notes. Jay McCarthy is starting for the Giants. Did that change your rankings of Isaiah Leigh Leigh or Malik neighbors? Move neighbors down a couple spots, but he was probably too high to begin with. So hopefully he's not going to be a disaster for him. But it was I thought he played fairly well. McCarthy did against the Saints and then help neighbors as well. Also. And I think they're really doing get to try to boost the run game because he's more like Jackson Dart. They designed their offense around Jackson Dart. Their run game around Jackson Dart with read options and things like that. So they can't run the ball. It seems like that was a big motivating factor. Baker may feel practiced in full this week. So yesterday, sorry, he might be in play. Jordan love was limited, but he says he'll play Lamar Jackson was limited and was apparently limping. So I'm assuming you'll see. you guys are not expecting Jackson at this point, no. That game opened, I think with Baltimore is a three and a half point favorite Cincinnati is now a one point favorite. So that tells you what they're thinking. Jordan Mason practice and full common on guys out Todd Monkins optimistic about Dylan Samson and Quinshaw and Judkins playing this week. Jeremiah love mispractice. Zach Sharman a practice and full David Montgomery mispractice to our Jordan's on IR Sean Tucker practice in full. Jonah Coleman was designated to return from IR. So he's got 21 days to be activated and Breeze Hall mispractice. Jordan Addison is expected to play. Ameca Buca may not play. He's got a foot injury and a concussion. And they're at Carolina this week a very big game there. Christian Watson and Matthew golden were limited. I'm assuming they're fine. Caleb Douglas could be on his way back this week for the dolphins. We haven't really seen all three of the top receivers for the dolphins on the field at the same time. Rishi, pardon me. Rishi, Rice mispractice. Kenan Allen mispractice. He should be fine. Christian Kirk practice in full. Mike Evans is not expected to play in Debo Samuel mispractice. A Christian Kirk is a guy that you might want to pick up. Adam and I Mitchell was limited in practice. Denzel Boston in case the conception and were limited. I assume they're okay. Rashad Bateman was limited. That's good news for him. Jordan Tyson not going to practice this week. And then they have a buy next week. Maybe starts practicing at some point. TJ Hawkins in practice. Travis Kelsey. I didn't realize he played through an ankle injury. Heard his ankle in the first quarter against the Chargers last week. So he'll be on the injury report. I think he was limited yesterday. He should play, but he's got an ankle thing going on. Sam Laporta's pissed off. He wants to contract extension. Dalton Schultz mispractice. And that's actually one where it may not just be a Wednesday thing. I'm assuming Schultz will play, but we'll keep an eye on it. Brock Bowers was limited with hamstring and calf issues. The fact that he was limited is a good sign. Tyler Warren missed last week and did not practice on Wednesday. The big offensive line stuff, other than the Patriots being depleted tonight. We've got the Giants three, three offensive tackles. The two starters and the top backup, all mispractice. I would say definitely the right tackle. He missed last week's game. I think Thomas Andrew Thomas will play, but keep an eye on the Giants. The Vikings getting healthier with Christian Darisaw on his way back. The Lions are getting their center Cade Mazeback. The Bucks might be without right tackle Luke Gettikey on defense. Also the Giants. The Giants could be without their starting cornerback and safety because they're both in the concussion protocol. The Colts top two cornerbacks both mispractice yesterday. The Texans had a lot of guys on the injury report yesterday. We're definitely going to keep an eye on that. Well, we'll talk about it as we preview the game. And big news for the Lions. They're getting. They're getting their safety. Brian Blanche back this week. That's huge. We had a comment about my, uh, my rule of my roster rules. Someone said even Azar's roster rule has a hole in it. That's very funny. All right. One question for each game. Heath Kansas City's at Seattle. Would you start any one other than the two obvious guys, JSN and Kenneth Walker in this game? I'm probably starting kick Travis Kelsey if he's the full go. Oh, man. I'm so disappointed in him in this. The Seahawks third best against tight ends. Tramick Bride had eight catches for 41 yards in a touchdown on 10 targets. Not exactly a great game. George Kittle had five for 24 on six targets. So, I mean, is he top 12 for you or? Yeah, he's top 12. Okay. I'm not so excited. Cincinnati is at Baltimore. Jamie starter. Sit. Chase Brown. So starting it. You know, this is, um, I think one of these guys that you still start by default with the hope that he's coming off a by weekend is going to have a productive game. You know, this Ravens run defense. We've, you know, seen some, some hit or misses against them. So I don't think it's one that you say, Oh, my God, you can't play anyone against them. But you'd like to see involvement in the passing game. I think that's always big for Chase Brown and not a lot of work first of my JP right? Okay, he's not right. We normally is. He's about 15th for everybody. Chase Brown facing Baltimore. Who's a pretty good run defense? The Giants are at Houston. Am I crazy? He thought, I love what he marks. I'm fired. Yeah, I almost used. If I wasn't gone with the new theme, I would have said, uh, Woody marks for the player that I love, but Dave loves him more, sports line loves him more. He's a high end RB to George ordans now on something called practice squad injured reserves that I don't think I've ever heard of before. Um, but he's not going to play. So it'll be Daria Gumballale, I guess, and Woody Marks, which may cut into his work in the passing game just a little bit, but he might have 20 carries. This is a great matchup for running backs. Start him. It's interesting that it's going to be a Goomba wall like as a Goomba wall is barely been playing. I mean, Woody marks is running like 60% of the routes, which is, but who else is, I don't know if they have any other running backs available. No, it's just a good point. I didn't really think about that. It might take away some of the passing down stuff, but you get carries against the Giants. And they've allowed a 12.5 or more PPR fantasy points, so running back in every game, including Jacori Kroski, Merritt and Tyler Alger and Alvin Camera. But Woody Marks, he did have four games last year with 16 to 19 carries and single digit PPR fantasy points, but it's a better offense though. It is. And, and it's a great matchup. So we're looking forward to Woody Marks to Woody Marks or Chase Brown. Okay. Pittsburgh's at New Orleans. Jamie Aaron Rogers or Tyler Shuck? Aaron Rogers. Uh, Shuck makes me nervous this week, just given the fact that he's underperformed the last couple of games and really kind of coincides with breaking his left hand. I don't know how much of that is impacting him just as an overall player. Now granted, last week he gave you four total touchdowns, so take that into account, but that was against the Giants. Uh, this is a much tougher defense against the Steelers. And I just think Shuck is going to struggle a little bit. And he did not play nearly as well as 33 fantasy points would indicate against Giants. Right. 16 to 30 passing his, his completions have been a little bit off the last couple of weeks. I thought he was plagued a little bit by drops last week, but not to the effect that it should have been that much better. Um, and for Rogers, look, it's four straight games of 20 or more fantasy points. The Saints, three of their last four games, the quarterback group has been over 24 fantasy points, believe it is, with what the Giants combined to do last week. So Rogers, I just feel like he's in a great spot. Okay. Both guys, I think probably didn't perform as well as their fantasy points last week, as Rogers had a lot of, he had like eight points in overtime. Uh, Miami's at the Jets. We know that Jamie loves, uh, Raylen Allen Heath, but what about Ali Gordon averaging more yards per carry than Jameer Gibbs this year? Start to say, you, you've got to start him. Um, I don't actually like it, but I think that there are like 15 good starting running backs this week and Woody, if you want to count him, make 16 and Ollie, if you want to count him, make 17. But um, it's just kind of where we are. He's dominating touches and the Dolphins backfield. This, this game doesn't look like, and then again, we've had a lot of Dolphins games that the odds have said we're going to be blowouts that they've kept it within a score. I think they probably keep this one within a score too. So he's probably going to have 16 or more touches. Rams are at the Raiders. Let's talk tight ends, Jamie. Michael Mayer or Tyler Higby? I would go Higby, uh, but it's close. Um, you know, the Rams, as we discussed yesterday, this is the, this is the Raiders true tight end, you know, and so I think this is the guy that gets, you know, the, the tougher coverage, uh, by comparison. And I say that with Trent McDuffy, probably not playing because that would be what I think the Rams would do is put McDuffy on Bowers. Uh, but Mayer has been awesome in three of his last four games, uh, coinciding, ironically enough with Bowers returning, 12.2 PPR, brought some more in three of those games. Uh, but we've seen this is the team that has allowed the fewest receiving yards to tight end, so far this season has done a great job on some big name guys. Isaiah likely, George Kittle. Um, they felt, they held Trent McBride in check for what he typically does. So I think Mayer is going to struggle a little bit now. Does that mean Higby is the best tight end for the Rams? I could not tell you. I think we'll see both of them be significantly involved without Devante Adams, but I've still lean Higby over Parkinson. So I would rank the non-Bowers tight ends in this game, Higby, Mayer, Parkinson. I agree. I think, um, there's a pretty big, it's almost like Higby and Parkinson aren't playing the same position right now, because Higby's lining up more in the, out, either in the slot or outside and getting targeted more downfield Parkinson, everything was really close to the line of scrimmage. So he needs a lot of targets to even be okay. I think you got to treat Parkinson. It's almost similar to the, the, the Raider situation. Higby's going to be until Ferguson returns more of the Devante Adams replacement. He's not going to be Devante Adams, but he is going to be more of the receiving option of the tight end group. Yeah, he has, he's had one game of the target share over 13% so far, Higby. But, you know, this is a big opportunity for him. And remember, in weeks two, Terence, week two, Terence Ferguson was great without Puka, week three. Tyler Higby was great without Puka, but that was a game where Stafford threw 54 passes or something like that. Cleveland's at Tennessee. Who's the best flex option in this game? He's, we have a lot of guys that are, I think, kind of on the corner. I'll take this. Okay. Who's the second best? Let's say Judkins plays. It's probably Judkins. He's very, very close and full PPR to one deal for me. I'll be interested to see what the split is between Judkins and Samson in Samson's first game back. And most importantly, where the targets go, because this team has thrown to their running backs a lot more than I expected this year. Is Samson in the Raheem Sanders role? Does Judkins have five targets this week? I think that'll kind kind of be the key. So, um, I would go take then Judkins just barely over Robinson. I'm going to do a quick team name Thursday before we get into the game from the great iron guru. And this is for Jamie. What's the schmata with you? Yeah. I'm still trying to figure that out too. Kansas City's at Seattle. Let's do this here Sunday night football big game. I couldn't have much matter. Okay. Kansas City's. This is incredible stat, incredible stat. Patrick Mahomes. I believe true media defines a deep ball as a passive 20 or more air yards. Patrick Mahomes did not throw a deep ball last week for the first time in his career. In any game that he didn't leave early with an injury, he did not throw a deep ball in a game. His A dot his air yards per target was something like 3.6 yards, which would make bonix look like, I don't know, James Winston, but it was a really boring offense. But also he's not throwing that much and that's what I wanted to explore. Why is Patrick Mahomes not throwing so much? Well, they are 25th in time of possession. That's not great. But the chiefs are 24th in pass rate. And they've been top 11 in pass rate eight straight seasons, top seven in pass attempts per game in six straight seasons right now. They're 22nd in pass attempts per game. So, I mean, he, when you project, Patrick Mahomes, you projecting 30 pass attempts, he's only been above that once. That was a lot of words to say Kenneth Walker is awesome. And that's why that she, like if Kenneth Walker is going to get just six yards of carry, why would you throw the ball? And he doesn't have his deep threats and Taikwan Thornton and Rashi Rice has been kind of a deeper threat this year. I've got him projected for 31 pass attempts. I have no interest in starting Patrick Mahomes. I don't really want to start Xavier Worthy. This is probably a low scoring ugly game and it's the, the ultimate revenge game. I mean, Kenneth Walker, this team chose to pay Rashid Shaheed instead of him after he won Super Bowl MVP, like, come on. Yeah, I will say that for the, for the chiefs and maybe it's not this week, but just think about going forward. They have faced some of the very worst defense offense offenses in football. They faced Denver, the Colts, the Dolphin, the Raiders and the Chargers. I was going to say that because that's true and last week was the most, I wouldn't call it cowardly. It was probably just smart, but Andy Reed basically just said, we're not going to lose this game. That we're not going to take any chances. We're going to kick field goals when we can kick field goals. We're just going to, like, there's no reason this team should be able to beat us. We are not going to lose. Okay. So long when the thing of being like, this passing game, it hasn't been great. Jamie, I don't, I think we want to get away from the homes. I saw a question in the chat. My homes are, are Baker Mayfield, if he plays. And probably some of them home, especially if a book is up. Okay. And then how do you feel about Xavier Worthy? Right now, assuming where she writes, doesn't play Xavier Worthy with seven for 70 last week, I think. And how do you feel about him? Lower number three receiver. I would expect worse numbers against the C-ox. Okay. So would you start, obviously you're going to start the Steelers guys over Xavier Worthy? Zack Sharbinay or Xavier Worthy? I think PPR is the Worthy makes more sense because he'll catch more passes, but wouldn't surprise me if Sharbinay is better. We talked about Travis Kelsey. He says he's the top 12 guy, but not like, well, actually, do you still have him sixth? Where's that? I think he's, I think I need to move now to seventh, but I'm probably just starting him. More of a low end starter for Dave and Jamie Travis Kelsey. He is 10th for Dave, 10th for Jave and 11th for Damie, whatever. All right. Sit Sam Darnold. Let's talk about the running backs in this game for Seattle. Jamie, what are your expectations this week or do we have, do we have any idea what to expect from the? No idea. I mean, it's tough. I still would expect Emmanuel Wilson to lead them and carries, but he's clearly going to lose work. As we saw last week, he lost work to Villas Jones. He lost work to Doritalani, so hopefully it's not three guys, you know, sharing the workload here. I'm going to guess any goal and opportunities go to Sharbinay. He's clearly been very successful in that score 12 rushing touchdowns last year. We'll see what happens with who's going to be involved in the passing game. I mean, look, they still have to get Sharbinay going and up to speed, granted he's been practicing for three weeks. So that's a great sign. He's going to have, you know, even though coming off an injury, fresh legs. It wouldn't be totally surprising if he's their best running back. I think you just got to treat them as flexes again, four teams on a buy lots of injuries. I wouldn't want to start any of them with confidence, but if you are stuck, I have a couple of leagues where Emmanuel Wilson has been my number two running back for the last couple weeks with Sharbinay on IR. I'm going to have a tough call to make if I'm going to, you know, which of the two that I'm going to start. I lean, I lean Sharbinay just because of the touchdown potential, but it's also tough matchup. I mean, that's part of it. It's very tough. I mean, the Chiefs allow 3.3 yards per carry to running backs. And I think I also am going to have a Sharbinay and Manuel Wilson decision, and I also am going to lean Sharbinay. I think, but I'm hoping we get some reports we usually do about these types of players and what they're expected. I got a billion questions about it too. Okay. Great. So by in the chat you're saying? Yeah. I'm going to Sharbinay or this, Sharbinay though. Let's star all these Sharbinay questions here and we'll get to them. Let me just do some quick mahalms stuff here. Would you rather start Patrick Mahalms at Seattle? Or Gino Smith against the Miami Dolphins? Gino. Gino. Jacobi Prasad against Denver or Mahalms? Mahalms. Mahalms. Who is a tough one for me? Tenix or Mahalms? Tenix. Mahalms for me. All right. And we like Kyler. I'm assuming better than Mahalms. Oh, not Heath. Oh, no, yes. Yes, Heath. Kyler? Kyler? Yes. Kyler over Mahalms. All right. Let's see what the chat has to say here. Sharbinay or a Minnesota running back against Indianapolis. Minnesota running back. Both of them? I was starting to. It made sense to act of you. I'd start them both. Mahalms are pretty. Oh, pretty by a mile. We don't want to start mahalms this week. And I understand the question's about pretty. He just played a very bad fantasy half of football without Mike Evans. But like they did nothing that half. But we're still starting to move from home. Burden or Sharbinay or Judkins? Burden. Burden. Sharbinay or Blake Korum? This is when I go Sharbinay. I go Korum. I have Sharbinay. Can I drop a manual Wilson? If so, this is where a lot of people run into a problem because if you're activating Sharbinay off of the populist or off your R spot in your fantasy league, you're going to have to drop somebody. And if Wilson is going to get phased out because the Darian price could return, I believe next week. So we may not have use for a manual Wilson very much going forward. So if that's the worst player on your team, then you could certainly go that route. My guess is Sharbinay is going to look, when you look at it and everybody's healthy first Seattle, a manual, since probably not seem to feel. And based on what Mike McDonald said last week, their head coach, it seems like the Darian price is trending toward returning in week eight. Woody Marx, Sharbinay or Gordon? Woody. Yeah. Sharbinay or Bucky Irving, I'd go on Bucky Irving there. Yeah. All right. Anything else from this game? I think just let me do a few more Xavier Worthy's because he was good last week. And Worthy for Keenan Allen. I go, where's he? Worthy or a Cleveland receiver? Boston for me. I've got Worthy. Worthy or pop Douglas tonight? I go Douglas. I have Worthy. I guess I do like Worthy. Worthy or a doons day tonight? Worthy. Worthy. Okay. Let's go to our next game. Actually, I think we're going to have to squeeze in a commercial break here. Start the chiefs. Oh, start the Seahawks DST. The Chiefs DST, Heath seemed low on them based on yesterday's rankings. I don't know if that's changed. David Jamie, we're high on the Chiefs DST. They've been pretty good most weeks. Not always. Seattle giving up the six most fantasy points. DST's. I don't know. That's very turnover prone right now. Yeah. You moved them up? Yeah. Okay. Listen, Sunday, the NFL on CBS is back tensions run high when Joe Burrow leads the Bengals into Baltimore for an AFC North clash with Derek Henry and the Ravens. And while some will see the Broncos ride into Arizona to take on the Cardinals out West, JB and the guys break it all down at noon Eastern on the NFL today. And we'll be right back with Cincinnati at Baltimore, a huge game in the AFC North and we'll talk about it after this. Cincinnati's at Baltimore. Joe Burrow is a top five quarterback. Start to march. Chase, start T Higgins. Jamie, I asked you earlier about Chase Brown and when I expand a little bit on it here, he said start him. He's about 15th in the rankings, not as high as he usually is. Right now, he's actually per game, 25th or this is actually a week ago, 25th and non-PPR per game, 20th and half PPR, 18th in full PPR. Anyway, what do you expect this week against the Ravens who are 6th best against running backs and allow 3.8 yards per carry and the fewest receiving yards per game to running backs? It's not going to be pretty, you know, and really it's about the workload, you know. So I think if you're looking at this and what you're taking away from it is, can Chase Brown still be the dominant running back for the Bengals? Because what we saw against Miami was some Ajipi Ryan getting a lot of work and clearly being a factor in last year as, you know, you've done a great job, Adam of Noting, is that when PPR was healthy at the start of the season, Chase Brown was not performing well. Now that kind of coincides. started with Joe Barrow getting hurt, so the offense was clearly in flux. But if he has a bad workload, then I think we have a real problem on our hands because then the bangles are trying to figure out what to do with their backfield and their run game, and that's clearly been an issue for this team. So I think at this point, you just kind of treat Chase Brown as a starter, and hopefully it's not a complete dud and disappointing performance. - And so basically the way it happened last year was Chase Brown was the leadback, got off to a bad start. The whole offense got off to a bad start. Joe Barrow got hurt in week two. After five games, they switched it up, and they split the carries fairly evenly. Week six through eight, Chase Brown had three games. He had 32 carries and seven catches. He played 58% of the snaps. P-Rine had 22 carries, 10 fewer, and he had three catches, and he played 42% of the snaps. So it became a much more even split. Then P-Rine got hurt, and then Chase Brown's season went berserk. But to point that out, this is not unprecedented. They did start splitting it about 60-40, and it wasn't good for Chase Brown. Also, they said, Dan Pitcher, their offensive coordinator, I believe it was, he said, that basically when they run out of shotgun, I think he said that favors Samaj P-Rine when they run at under center, that favors Chase Brown. I may have switched that, but I'm nervous to see what happens here, and it sucks that they're coming off the spy and have a bad match up, 'cause it could be another tough game for Chase Brown, but yeah, I mean, they have to start 'em. - I think it was a good thing to talk about, but we're just the way we are sitting currently at the running back position. Chase Brown's not somebody you can get away from. - No, but can you get to Samaj P-Rine? And before you answer that, Heath, question from the chat, would you trade Chase Brown for Jalen Warren? I think if we know that there's gonna be a time share in Cincinnati, then yes, 'cause there's time share at Pittsburgh and Jalen Warren. - No, no, yeah, you might have to. - That's what I'm saying. - Yeah. So you have to make that call. 'Cause everything I say was what-- - I would not make that trade. - You would not? - I'm not saying it's a bad trade. It's just not, it's close enough that I'm just not trading to borderline RB ones for each other when I don't know which one's going to be better. - Yeah. - And for what it's worth, you've already had Cincinnati's buy. - And listen, even though it happened last year, I'm not saying it's gonna happen again this year. I don't know what's gonna happen this game. Now, he's your thoughts on P-Rion. You said you like Rocheon Johnson. How would you compare that to? - I would rather, I feel more confident in Rocheon Johnson playing the role that he's going to play because it's the same role that the non-guides play and the same role they've had in this offense for the last two years. P-Rion, as you've already noted, is a little bit more spotty in that regard. So P-Rion's closer to the Emanuel Wilson portion of my rankings. He's a fine flex. I wouldn't call him a good flex. You're probably going to need a touchdown for him to matter for you and P-Rion. - I will say this though. If you don't have to play anyone and you're speculating, you should be speculating on P-Rion and not Rocheon because there was just a report that the Bears are expecting Kyle Menongai to return to. - We're agreeing. - And oh, so you would go, I'm assuming you guys would go Chase Brown, Zach Sharbrane, and then P-Rion Wilson would be kind of similar. Like you'd start Sharbrane over P-Rion. - I start both the auto running backs over P-Rion. Yes. - I agree. - Any hesitation with T-Higgins this week? - Nope. - Nope. - I'm hoping he just wasn't healthy. Last game against Miami came into that game with an adultery injury and he had four targets in a terrible game. Any interest in Micah Sicki? - No. - Touchdown or bust, I think you view him like you view Jake Ferguson and Mark Andrews at this point. - Start Derek Henry. Is Zay flowers a must start heath if Tyler Huntley plays in the two games with him? He has 14.6 fantasy points and 12.7 fantasy points. - Which is basically the same as what he did last year. So if you have two or three wide receivers that you think are going to score more than 13 fantasy points and you wanted to get away from Zay flowers, you could, but I think he did that without any touchdowns. There's, he's a top 15 wide receiver for me. I'm starting him everywhere I have him. I would say he is a must start wide receiver, but it is possible that you drafted Matthew Golden who I would start over him. And a couple other, maybe you'd have to both packers I'd start both of them over him, but. - Would you start Woody Marks or Zay flowers? - Zay. - Would you do half PPR same question? - Zay. - Non-PPR. - Zay. - Would you start T Higgins or Zay flowers? - Zay. - Okay, I just want to say one more thing about flowers. DJ Turner did shadow him in both games. And yes, I know people make fun of me for the shadow thing. I love it. I love the shadow thing. Call me whatever you want. DJ Turner shadowed him in both games and I went and I checked my notes. So he had two catches for six yards in weeks 13 against the Bengals and then he had three for 68 and a touchdown on five targets in week 15. But in both games, Zay flowers had either a touchdown called back on a really bad offensive pass interference penalty. I don't know if you guys remember that. And then the other game he dropped a touchdown. So DJ Turner there, I think they're gonna try it. He really can't like nobody can shadow Zay flowers success. - He's not the type of player that those corners want to follow around and try to stick with, no. - I don't know if you saw my tweet yesterday, but I didn't realize until I watched the tape yesterday that Travis Hunter shadowed Nico Collins last week and did a very good job. - Did you see the thing about him talking about the fake stumble to get the interception? - No. He says he does this regularly, but he will like when he's running on an out route or running on a route with someone, he'll squat down for a step. So the guy thinks he's falling to get him to throw the ball. - Wow. Okay, he's gonna be incredible. He's really Travis Hunter is his blossoming. Rashad Bayman and Chikoby Lane, Jamie, where do we, how we feeling about them? - Not great about Bayman. I think with Lane, you can hope for a touchdown, but until Lamar Jackson's back, really the secondary piece is in the passing game or just not gonna be fun, safe. You know, it's just you gotta see this while offense with Lamar Jackson. So hopefully he plays, I'm curious if Heath will give you a buyout on the bet. If Devon, they continues to have big performances with the enemy team. - I've offered a buyout, he won't accept any buyouts. - That's not true. That's not true. I don't remember what your term was, but I would accept it. - I gave you a month discount to where the beard during the season. - All right, I'll come back to you on that one. I'll come back to you on that one. - There's no way you're gonna do your thing. - I think it's more fun if you wear the beard during the season. - I agree. - I agree. - It's all about it. I can't show up to NFL play action looking like that. That's the thing. - Yes, you can. - I can't. - You can't rule about you can't have beards on TV. - I can't have a stupid beard. Like they wouldn't go for it. - They would love it. It would be their favorite thing. - You have an index yesterday, they would love it. - If they did, yeah. - Mark Andrews facing the bangles. They're so bad against tight ends, even though they haven't allowed a receiving touch that to a tight end yet, but we still have him as a sit. It is National tight ends day. You just never know. All right, I think we're covered here, but I'll get to the truth. - We can't start all the tight ends at him. I'm not sure Mark Andrews is even capable anymore. - We'll revisit this game if Mark Jackson plays. It would be a boost to the other guys. - Bro. - Which is, and the answer is easy, but it still should be mentioned. Which is the bigger travesty? The Seahawks letting Ken Walker walk for a sheet to heed or the Ravens deciding to pay, Mark Andrews over as they likely. - I think it's that one. - Really? - I think so because it's just like, you could argue that it just doesn't make sense to pay running backs, but I think the Ravens made a big mistake. - The argument has gotten more difficult early in the season. - No, I get it. I mean, he's having basically the best start to a season ever, but that's a great question, Jamie. It's a great question. Borough or Love? - I'd go love this week. - Love. AJ Brown or T Higgins? - It's very close. I think there's a little bit more upside for T Higgins right now, but we have no problem if somebody wants to play Brown. It's one of those situations, I guess like he said, if you have the Packers receivers or maybe Jalen Coker, you can get away from these guys, but I would like to start both. - Flip of coin. They're almost tied in the projections. - Camera or P Ryan? - Camera. - Is that about Camera or their? - Chase Brown or Abouca? - I may not have a choice, so I still have a Chase Brown either way. - Chase Brown. - Brown or Ramandri Stevenson tonight? - Brown. - Brown. - P Ryan or Damian Pierce? - We don't know. They play Monday, so that's why we haven't gotten a practice for it yet, but let's say Barkley's out. - If Barkley's out, I would go Pierce. - Yeah. - Zay Flowers or Jalen Coker? - That's very close for me. I still probably go Zay, but one surprise me with Coker's better. - Flip of coin. - Andrews or Henry? Hunter Henry? - Henry. - Andrews Michael Mayer or Tyler Higgby? - Well, that's a great question, 'cause Henry and Lovlet are not playing on National Titan Day. - Ooh, that's true. - They're not gonna do well. - I would go Higgby. I'd go Higgby as well. - Neither is Dallas Goddard or Jake Ferguson, right? - That's true. - All right, that's it for this game, unless the DST's, which DST'd you like better? - Ravens. - Okay, the Bengals, they get a lot of sacks. - Oh, I'm sorry. I think actually we'd go Bengals with only-- - If Hartley starts would be Bengals. - Ravens have been pretty bad this year, actually, And and with and the Ravens have been a good match up when they I think on paper, it probably makes more sense to go with the Bengals, but the Ravens are much more roster than the Bengals. All right, the Giants are at Houston. Here's your weird stat of the game. The Giants, like, is this a good match? Well, actually this is dumb. 'Cause if the Giants are missing, they're starting cornerback and they're best safety, then I think it's just so easy to start CJ Stroud. It's probably easy to start him anyway, but there's only been one quarterback who's thrown for more than 200 yards against the Giants. They're like eighth-best. What's 'cause they're up by 30 points at halftime and they just try to run the clock out. Well, the Giants throw 45 passes. We're in first place. Come on. Anyway, their defense has been straight. Okay, they out the game for me. Who do you like in this game? Love CJ Stroud. Woody Marks, we talked about at the top of the show. He's an RB2, Nico Collins is a must-start wide receiver. On the Giants, I'm starting Malik neighbors and I'm starting Isaiah likely. Okay. Yeah, I mean, there's not a lot of borderline calls in this game. We've talked about P-- Giants running back. I think for people they don't like. Yeah, like P-Rine, Sharbin A, Camar, all these guys, you start him over a Giants running back? Not P-Rine. I'm curious what the Giants are gonna do, you know? I mean, the releasing Nazi Harris, you would think is a positive for all of them. Yes. Hopefully, the biggest positive for Scataboo. But after what we've seen, and you just got that ESPN report from a guy who used to cover the Giants in Dan Graziano, is that you have maybe a situation here, I think he's to cover the Giants. You have a situation here of, he said that they're either looking to acquire a running back or gonna give Tyron Tracy a bigger workload. Now does that mean he's gonna get more work than Scataboo, we just don't know. So this is another one of these ambiguous backfields that you should be stashing Tracy. Coming off of his best game score to touchdowns. I have no problem with somebody who wants to start Tracy over Scataboo. I'm just hopeful that we go back to Scataboo as the lead rusher. Now he's been miserable the last three weeks. One of those he was benched, but under APPR points in the two previous games. So he's becoming a very difficult player to trust in one of the bigger buss that we have this season. So taking on a Houston run defense, that's good, I'd like to avoid it, you know, both if I can. But I picked up Tracy in a bunch of leagues just to see if he's gonna be the main guy. And if you want to just bank on hope, that's the guy I would probably lean more than Scataboo at this point. - I'm starting all those guys you said over the mat. I'm just because I have no idea. The giants have, even P-Rine. - Okay. - Because I think P-Rine's going to get probably eight to 10 touches in a bad case scenario. And I have no idea if any of these giants are going to get eight to 10 touches. They might all get six. They've scored two rushing touchdowns on the season. And they have an extremely low implied point total in this game. And so I just, like they're touchdown odds are like below 10% for each of them. If one of them was a lead guy, it might be 25%. But I just, if they come out and say, we're going to go back to Camp Scataboo or Tyrone Tracy's our guy, then I'll move one of those guys into the top 35. But I don't have either one of them in the top 40 right now. - And if you look at the Texans, right there, 20 second against quarterbacks. They're 10th against running backs. They're 31st against receivers. And they're 11th against tight ends. I don't really think any of us feel like they're that bad on defense. I feel like Trevor Lawrence carved them up last week, but my personal opinion is that he just played really well and made terrific throws. It's not like you watch some of these defenses and there's busted coverages all the time and they can't tackle and all that and that's why they struggle. That's not what happened last week with the Texans and the Jaguars. Honestly, I give a lot of credit to Trevor Lawrence who's playing a great game. I don't think JJ McCarthy is really capable of doing it. And I just think the running backs are in a bad spot because of it and the Texans have a great run defense. However, with this game, there are a lot of defensive injuries on both sides here. I get the sense that for the Texans, other than Jalen Petrie, they're safety. Actually, both of their safety, we should mention this, both of their safety's are hurt. Reed Blankenship is in the concussion protocol. Petrie, I forget if he left super early last game or missed last game, but Aziz al-Shire is a huge one. He's on the injury report. I feel like that's more of a Wednesday maintenance thing. But this is a game where you have to keep an eye on the injuries because the giants in the secondary and the Texans in the secondary could change things. But yeah, the giants are easy. It's basically you're starting those guys. I'm starting them slightly nervously, but whatever. And then what he marks is someone more excited about. You go ahead. - I just want to say, even with the questions about the Texans' defense and they haven't been what we expected, they're giving up 3.4 yards per carry this season. They've given up five rushing touchdowns all year. Like the run defense is still awesome and it's probably getting better with Domingo Ryan's back in charge. I just, I'm out on this run game. - I'll tell you who kind of hopeful for is Marvin Harrison Jr. in this game. He only ran 26% of the routes, so hopefully he gets more involved. You guys like CJ. You like CJ Stroud, I'm assuming. - Yes. - Quite a bit. - Yeah, very much. - So how are you feeling about Marvin Harrison Jr. Jalen Noel, Jamie? - I'd like to see it for one more week and I know it's tough to say that because then they have their buy. But look, you're talking about Tank Dell now being added to the mix. And so Nico Collins is a little stud Dalton Schultz to be placed just at six targets last week. So there's a lot of mouths to feed in this offense and I think that's the benefit of Stroud and how he's performing. But also we're looking at, you know, is Nico still gonna be the dominant alpha? He's still the alpha, but is it gonna be the dominant alpha? Is Marvin Harrison gonna take on more work? Is Tank Dell gonna get just a few shots or is he gonna be part of the offense? And Jalen Noel probably deserves more targets 'cause he's been performing at a very high level the last three games. So I don't wanna start Harrison but I definitely wanna stash him. - Okay, would you wanna start Noel? - No, I don't wanna start any of those guys aside from Nico, I just think you're looking at it as like, you know, if you have bench spots where you can afford to stash players, I still think despite the fact that Noel's played well Harrison as the highest ceiling, I'm sure most people would agree with that. And then Tank Dell is somebody that has had it's huge success here. You know, it's gonna suck. This is the thing that happens with the players that come off our spots. You've been stashing these guys and then you have no way to play them. So you're probably gonna have dropping them. You may regret it, but you know, I can't imagine Tank Dell has a huge role at least since first game. - To give you an idea of how much they like CJ Stroud, he's ahead of Dak Prescott. 678 in the rankings are Stroud, Stafford and Bryce Young in some order. For Jamie, it's Stroud, Young, Stafford. For Heath, it's Stafford, Young, Stroud. But he's a top eight quarterback for Jamie and Heath. For Dave, he's third questions on this game from the chat, Woody Marks or JK Dobbins. - Marks. - Yep. This is all assuming David Montgomery doesn't play. If he plays, you know, if he practices tomorrow, we'll update on Woody Marks's ranking. Chase Brown, Ashton Jentie or Woody Marks. Start two. - Sit Marks. - Yeah. - Camera or Tracy? - Camera, right? - I still go Camera, but it's close. - Yep. - Likely or Laporta? - Likely. - Likely. - Woody Marks, Ramon J. Stevenson or Aaron Jones. - Does he win? - Yeah. - I go Marks. - I go Woody. - No or Tucker. - Tucker. - Tucker. - Well, I got a great, are you sure about that? Are you sure about those five minutes? I got a great Tucker stat for you when we get to that game. Now, I would also go trade Tucker, but that's a hard case to make. He's had, every time he's had an ADR game in his career, he's followed it up with a stinker, basically. Except one time when he caught a touchdown, but, and then he got the Rams, we've allowed more than 50 yards to one wide receiver. But Pittsburgh's at New Orleans. - By the way, I got some news. - Yes, Stick One Barclays expected to play. - Yeah. - Thank you, sorry. Thank you for reminding me. I was gonna get Damien Pierce out of your lineups. - Yep. - Yeah. - All right, Pittsburgh at New Orleans. I already told you it's National Tide Ends Day. This game is in France. France, we come from France. Come on, heads. Yeah. High five. - Yeah, where's Jalen Warren? - He's for eight this week. - He's a, I mean, the state of the running back position, he's a must start running back borderline top 12. Don't even think about it. - Okay. Where's Aaron Rogers for you? - He is a, I think he's currently QB 12. Right on that borderline, just ahead of Tyler Schuck, several spots ahead of Patrick Mahomes. - And I think Jamie has Rogers right around 12 as well. He both having 12, Dave has him 9th. He has reverted back to this short area crap, 4.6 and 4.0 yards. - I could change this week. - You hope so. - Saints have these, Saints have the second lowest pressure rate amongst defenses. So he should not be as concerned about getting hit. - Okay. I don't really see like this being that good of a matchup. You know, like only Lamar Jackson's done really well. No, that's not true, Kirk Cousins did. The Giants quarterbacks through 47 times and cobbled together a good game. You guys are pretty confident in him, top 12 guy. Bernard or Metcalf, who do you like better? - Still DK, but it's gonna close. - Yep. - Yeah, Bernard, they're both basically must starts. Jamie talked about that at the top of the show, so. - 21 targets in two games for Bernard since Roman Wilson's finger injury. Mechath has been 12 something PPR points or more in three was last four games like they're just getting the job done Saints allow the six most fantasy points to tight ends that might be one of the reasons why he likes Pat firemuth Jamie's not quite as high on Pat firemuth. Jamie has him 13 11 11th and he has him eighth Dave does not like firemuth Dave has him 22nd, but firemuth low-end starter. You're like firemuth or Kelsey It's getting closer still Kelsey, but it's closer. Yep I hope you guys are right. This guy's had more than five targets once this year He's right there with Hunter Henry who I think has not had more than five targets in a game this year. It's true play this on come on What the happy birthday song. Yeah, I was also you know what song I think you should save it for Sunday night after he scored or maybe Sunday during the Morning Show while he's playing you know what I can you know what song I can play for this game. Let's see I got to do more French to football American a baritone Why do you do it like a Spanish accent? It's I could because you know I don't know I realized that first I was doing it and then I tried that means it's not the game of the week now so your thing Was the holy socks on this show not the singing you we don't need the singing when we've got the holy socks You've already done your thing. I don't know why I didn't do French accent. I had it. I got into it eventually there that was tough On the same side of the ball Tyler Schuck is is you know kind of on the borderline here He's only got 55 pass attempts in his last two games combined and we're seeing like if he doesn't throw the ball a ton He could struggle as a passer and the Steelers are fourth best against quarterbacks But they they haven't faced a very tough schedule. So we'll keep that in mind. I don't know what he hasn't played as well as he did last year He's averaging fewer yards per a pass attempt thinner and rogers is like maybe he gets a bunch of volume because they're playing from behind But I don't really want to start him. I sounded like I'm Listen, I'm gonna tell I'm I'm struggling with this game and I'll just tell you how I feel I I'm not feeling great about this game in terms of points I feel like Olave obviously and Jalen Warren are the only two guys that I am comfortably Putting in my no, no, I agree about the Steelers receivers. I'm sorry, but Vailay Joanne Johnson Rogers and Schuck. I'm just not that confident. Are you guys Ranking Rogers and Schuck as starters or borderline starters because you like them or because it's not that great of a week Rogers. Yes No Rogers. I'm I mean Confident to say you know the 12th quarterback or 10th all right 12th quarterback is you know I think that's the spot for reason or in that spot for reason. So the the The last month has been extremely productive for him Is he playing at the level of a must-start quarterback? No, but he's getting the job done And like you said, you know, he got eight points in and over time. Okay, he's still got to those eight points And this is a defense that has given up a lot of big games to quarterbacks recently. So I'm gonna start him certainly as a buyer replacement if I have to pivot from Josh Allen or Trevor Lawrence or Jane Daniels I'm happy about that. I think in the case of Schuck look he's been he got off to a great start, but not to not to say that this is the reason why but he breaks his hand against Atlanta's left-hand against Atlanta He stinks against Minnesota, but we probably would have been concerned about his performance against Minnesota, but it was really bad and Then you get lucky with the four total touchdowns Against the Giants where he hadn't been running very much than he gives you 32 yards in the score on the ground So I think just looking at it steal it the Steelers defense is clearly very good I would try to get away from Schuck in the case of a firemuth like You say he hasn't been getting a lot of targets. I get it He was you know 10 or 11 PPR points in two of his last three games. We were very excited about him last week As he's alluded to and in the start of the show pops him on the injury port and then you just get these hyper-targeted games for the other two guys I'm gonna guess it's gonna be a little bit more equal equal equal distribution Or close to it would be the hope for firemuth. So is he a slam dunk? No, but Who do you like better to want Johnson or firemuth try with muth? Okay, all right. Here's some questions from the chat Kyler Maria Aaron Rogers I go Murray. I go Roger's firemuth or Rochon Johnson in PPR I got firemuth Don't think about tight ends versus running backs very often. I would also go firemuth Shocker Rogers Roger's Jeremy Bernard or Jalen Waddle standard scoring Jeremy Bernard Coker jamo or braille and Alan you could only pick one my goodness Start of the week. Oh PPR. I'd probably go Coker Johan Johnson and Michael mayor Jamie your mic talk. Hey Jamie. What's up? Hey, oh there you are. Johan Johnson or Michael mayor I would go Johan Johnson agreed Jared Goff or Tyler shock we're going golf Colson Lovelin or Johan Johnson Lovelin for me. Johan for me. Firemuth or Kelsey We just said that that right now. It's close, but still Kelsey. Yep Bernard or Jamison Williams Bernard like your socks germine All right, that's a gone with jamo. I I would caution against the Steelers DST first of all the Steelers have had such an easy schedule. They faced Cooper rush and Jalen Daniels and Cleveland and I don't even remember a Drake May when he was terrible and They've and you hate this game. I do hate this game. I do Is that why you made its banishes? Yeah, I was in sign of disrespect. All right guy. We got three games left Let's let's go to Miami at the Jets start of the game every DST has been good against the Dolphins including the Raiders and the Bengals So don't necessarily shy away from the Jets DST They let's see how they've done this year their top 12 in the rankings They had eight sacks against Cleveland. They were terrible at Detroit at Chicago and at New England Other than that they were good. So Dolphins allowed the fourth most fantasy points of DST's take a look at the Jets now Geno Smith Or pat oh, I you said I said my homes. I think over Gino, right? We said Gino said Gino. Damn it. All right, come on Gino Smith not bad this week The running backs. We already talked about them earlier in the show. How about Malik Washington? Or Keenan Allen Is Caleb Douglas back I think so He was limited yesterday. We're not ranking him yet. If he's back then it'd be very close if he's not then it's easily Washington for me It's close either way for me. I think the the floor is safer for Washington the ceiling is higher for Keenan even it gets Minnesota How about Omar Cooper? How we feeling about him was out of an I Mitchell limited That will change the rankings of Cooper a little bit But I just think when you have a first round talent that just showed you what he showed you You don't take him off the field or take him out of situations where you can try and give him chances to succeed He looked amazing and I don't think this dolphins defense despite the fact that they've been Statistically good against opposing receivers is going to be the reason why Omar Cooper fails I wanted to add Cooper but not to start Cooper. I do think Like this is probably a run-heavy game for the Jets Which is why Braille and Allen is the starter or one of the reasons Braille and Allen's the start of the week And I don't think Garrett Wilson has two bad games in a row So I I don't really want to start Cooper So you guys would start Malik Washington or Cooper Omar Cooper It's a ceiling floor play if if you want the higher ceiling It's clearly Cooper if you want the safer floors Washington Washington score touchdown He's been 11 to 12 ppr points three games in the row the first two games of the season when Douglas played played the entire first game and left in the second game Where Washington's two worst games this year? I'd go Washington I think people need to start we need to drop Kenyan Sedeek He's the number two tight end on this team unfortunately Mason Taylor plays a lot more than him Sedeek is rostered as of yesterday and 48% of leagues I think you should there's a better use of that roster spot you guys feel free to disagree I would guess a good portion of that is probably keeper leagues or dynasty leagues I think they're afraid to drop them because you'll say they have an illegal lineup That's very good very good I all right, so Braille and Alan is the top 12 guy Ali Gordon in the rankings is Let's take a look an rb2 we talked about him in the 10 in the question for each game 16th 19th 17th for Jamie Dave Heath. Let's go to the questions Not the regular Thursday end of the show When he's watch the clock Malik Washington or some Ajay P run Washington wasn't good. Geno Smith or Jacobi percent Gino Gino Jets DST or Brown's DST Browns Brown Brown's Gino or panics I have panics one spot I I could go Gino Gino JJ McCarthy or Baker Mayfield if he plays Gino Gino Ali Gordon over JK Dobbins yep Sit one in non PPR neighbors flowers Watson Ali Gordon The safe answers probably said Ali Gordon, but he scored a touchdown in three straight games. So that matters a non-PPR. I would actually probably sit flowers. I'd sit Ali. Alan or Chase Brown, Braylon Alan or Chase Brown. Alan if hollowed out. Yep. Next game is the Raiders and the Rams. Okay, Jamie, let's make this fast here. Who we starting? Who we sitting? We are starting. Pukinakua. Starting Matthew Stafford, we are starting Kyron Williams. We are starting Brock Bowers. We are starting Ashton Gentile. You might be starting Tyler Higby. You might be starting Michael Mayer. You might be starting Kurt Cousins. You might be starting Blake Whorham. Let's talk about Matthew Stafford. He is a start, but he's really not playing that well. Now he had Pukinakua wide open for a 65 yard touchdown on busted coverage. Got hit just as he was throwing and over through the ball. That makes his day and Pukin's day so much better, but without Tavante Adams last year, you played three games without Tavante Adams. He scored more than 34 fantasy points in two of them and one of them was at Seattle that Thursday night crazy game. So anyway, he's been fine in the past, but struggling a bit, so you know, see, you start to see. He's straight out over him, right? I would. Yes. I have Stafford one spot higher. That spot higher. Okay. Would you start Dak Prescott Monday night or Stafford at the Raiders? I would start Dak. Stafford for me. Stafford or Caleb Williams tonight? Stafford. Stafford. Stafford or Drake May? May. Yep. You guys are still confident in Matthew Stafford. I was looking because I have a league with Jayden Danes. It's our draft of Thun League, so somebody dropped Jayden Danes when he initially got hurt and I picked him up and I have Lamar Jackson, so I'm stuck this week. Yeah. I was looking at like, can I trade one of the two to get something in return. When you were the first team I looked at Adam and I was thinking about this since you brought Stafford, would you, because you can't make the trade this week, you just lost Jayden hurts. You had Stafford and hurts. And so I was like, oh, can I trade him, Lamar? Would he trade me Stafford for Lamar and just pick up another quarterbacks? I know you like Lamar so much. I know you wouldn't do the trade because it would just become a headache for you, but that was just. I know. That's interesting. I'd have to go find one this week, but that's interesting. Blake Korum or Kanata Mumpfield, who's a better flyer? After Kyron's comments last week, I wonder how Sean McVeigh is going to approach it. And there was a report yesterday. I don't know who it was from, it was a Ram source or a national source, so I apologize, but McVeigh wants to get a little bit more balance in the offense. And that kind of speaks to where you're at. I think it was Stafford of just him throwing too much in the offense, not having the type of rhythm. That they want to have. Does Kyron get a little bit more work? And I know it's hard to say because we get a lot of work. Does Kyron, I thought you were going the other way? No, no. I just. I mean, obviously, good. You know, if you hear the whole. This is one of those things, like when you take just the portion of what Kyron said versus the whole answer, you know, where he said, like, he was asked why was there not a rhythm and he said, because I wasn't out there, or energy, and he said because I wasn't out there. But you listened to the whole answer. And you didn't really say anything inappropriate. I shouldn't say the same thing, but it was, it was like a, you know, we're screwing up because it's not me being out there, whatever. I wouldn't be surprised if Mumfield has a better game, but Corms certainly say it. All right. Would you start. You know, I'm just going to read some chat questions and we'll come back to some of the guys here. But Higby or Loveland? Loveland. It'd be Higby for me. Michael Mayer or Mike, or Mark Andrews. There. Yep. Stafford or Purdy? Purdy. Purdy. Purdy. Blake Corm or Quinchon Judkins, if he plays. Judkins. Yep. Blake Cormor's ex-Sharbonne. Cormor. Um. I go Sharbonne. Cousins or Shuck or Murray? Sorry. Pick two. Cousins, Shuck Murray. Cousins makes me nervous. Um. I would sit, Murray. Now the Rams are beat up defensively. I think that's part of it. Very beat up defensively. Yeah. But they are second best. Second fewest yards per attempt allowed in the NFL. McDuffee was. No practice or limited. No practice. And they lost two defensive linemen last week. So. And Aaron Donald's not being Aaron Donald right now. He has very few pressures, um, in sacks, he's just not, not himself. Maybe it's. The Rams make the playoffs. I don't know. I think no. I would guess they'll be the last wild card. I think they'll, like, they're going to have three NFC West teams in the playoffs. So you're going to get one from the NFC East. One from the South. Do you get four from the North though? That's like. The North is like better than the West. Yeah. Yeah, arguably. That's the tricky part. All right. Cousins is, uh, top 13 in the rankings. Cousins are pressed, got. That. Yeah. And I don't think we have this one specifically. Cousins are Kyler. I would go Kyler. I made that decision in a few leagues. I dropped Cousins for Kyler. Cousins were just so good coming up and this week is close enough that I would just lean Kyler. Gen D is, like, right there with Braille and Alon right around 12th. So that's an interesting player because he did not play a lot in the second half and they seemingly, or they continue to talk up Mike Washington quite a bit. Yeah. You know, and I go back to our colleague, Grant Carthon, who, you know, former GM evaluates the draft, said before the season that Washington is a better fit for this offense, not better player, better fit for this offense than Gen D. And then you had the game two games ago where they didn't give him any touches and then they gave him, and he had more rushing yards than Gen D. Gen D is just not running them all very well. Yeah. I just think their current roles, this is probably a better game for Gen T than it is for Mike Washington. Oh, totally. This is, by no means is this play washed in over Gen T or sit Gen T because, yeah, this is a throw at game. This is a, you know, potentially chasing points. And Gen T has been very successful in the past game. I just think that we may have a Gen T problem moving forward to the degree of we did not see him share touches at all last year. We haven't really seen it to a degree where it's a problem yet, but it might be. And he's played fewer than 60% of the snaps to straight games that did not happen in the first four weeks. The Rams, by the way, have allowed the fourth most receiving yards per game, the running backs, running back as at least four catches and four of six games. So that's where Gen T will make his hay. Trade Tucker is basically 30th or, you know, around there for Jamie and Heath. He's lower for Dave, previous four times he had 80 or more yards. He followed that up with 41, 58, 13 and 44 yards. That's throughout his career. He's just, he does not stack games. Doesn't mean he can't. And this is, but he hasn't. It's just why he's coming off a game against the worst secondary, worst defense, at least at the time, against opposing receivers. And now, even if McDuffee doesn't play like, there's four, there's enough of a sample size of what trade Tucker has done this year, aside from his career, because he just want to say Kubiex offense with Kirk Cousins, like four of the six games he's been under eight or under nine PPR points. Okay. And then Michael mayor, two of those games has put him in the top 20 though. So Michael mayors 15th for Jamie and Heath, he is 12th for Dave. We've talked a lot about him about, a lot about him so far. Rams DST has actually been really bad this year. So I mean, except against the Giants, basically. So I don't know. We have them ranked fairly high, but they just haven't been a reliable DST. You both have them top eight, Dave has them 23rd. Yeah, I have to move them down. All right. There's just not good, there's not good defenses this week. I think I'd start, I'd start to jets over them. I agree. And I start the bangles. Is that crazy? No, not with only. Yeah, if Huntley's playing, I'd start the bangles over them. Cleveland at Tennessee, Tennessee's allowed 60 or more yards to seven wide receivers, 70 or more yards to five wide receivers. So they've been a pretty good matchup. And they have actually allowed the second most completions of 20 or more ariards. So looking at deep ball completions, the Titans are given up a lot of them and that's really important for Denzel Boston. However, DeShon Watson has failed to throw for 170 yards in three of his last four games, I believe. Or maybe just two of his last three games, I may be a little off there. But no, it's three of his last four. Okay. A starter sit, Denzel Boston, case exception, heath. Boston is a boom bus number three wide receiver, conception is a desperation flex. If Quinchon Johnson, Judkins plays, who's the best running back in this game? Judkins. It's probably Judkins, Pollard's right behind him. The only way I would start Pollard over him and Spears just continues to mispractice if Spears misses a game. The two best games that Pollard has had so far this season is when he said two or more catches. In every game where he has not been involved as a past catcher, he's been miserable. But he is starting to play to absolutely dominate the snaps and the carries. I mean, I think he played more snaps last week than he had in any point of the last two seasons this year and last year when Taij Spears was healthy. So you're getting like 17 carries somewhat regularly, 16, 17 carries and three of his last four games. Cleveland, they're 4.6 yards per carry to running backs. It's a good matchup for Pollard. We'd start Pollard over like the corums and the p-rines and the giant skies and all that right that's easy. Yep. Yep. Yeah. Yeah, um Okay, then Judkins, you know, Judkins more of all in the passing game But again only one game so far for Judkins with double digit PPR fantasy points. Try to get away from Harold fan in junior We just don't know what it's gonna look like with Samson back You guys like carnell Tate or Jeremy Bernard Tate. Tate Carnell Tate or DK Metcalf Mekke Mekkef Wondale Robinson or Casey Concepcion Wondale Wondale Wondale or Boston Boston I've got one Dale and full PPR Boston or Ramandri Stevenson tonight Ramandri, yep, Boston or Rocheon Johnson tonight Boston, I've got Rocheon ankle socks or like the ones that come up like you know three inches higher than that It depends on what you're doing. Yeah. Yeah, it's only ankle the only socks I'll ever wear basically are ankle socks were you know like Again some longer socks might help you stay warm. I have wool socks for that. Those are really good Carnell Tate or Michael Wilson from the chat. Tate Yep Judkins or Ramandri Ramandri I'd go Judkins hollered a room. Yeah, you have to go Ramandri because we'll see if he's a full practice day What about Pollard or Ramandri then Ramandri Probably Ramandri Pollard or Jacob's PPR Pollard I would go Jacobs Concepcion Jacob Elaine or Kendrick Miller PPR Oh boy, I'm probably Miller. Yep. I mean Concepcion has six or more targets in three straight healthy games So you get a little bit of a floor there. I think from Concepcion and What's the floor been in those three games? Um, not great Let's see Concepcion Last three games looks like two point nine is his floor two point nine eleven point four and seven point nine two point nine Is not his floor his floor is seven point nine and I just want you to know we had a Hole in your shirt yesterday. I asked you just show us on the air. You know hole in your socks. I asked you to show us on the air I'm gonna guess just knowing you you have holes in your underwear. I'm not gonna ask you to show us that on your And I don't every people are asking about my sleeves my sleeves are fine this one here. Pollard's a little sketchy, but All right, well, thanks for watching listening to fantasy football today We will talk to you tomorrow for the NFC home games in a recap of hopefully an exciting Thursday Paramount podcasts

Summary:

FAQs

Heath is recommending Kyler Murray, Steelers wide receivers, Rocheon Johnson, Kirk Cousins, and Pat Freiermuth as starters. He also highlights Breeze Hall and Allen as potential starters for the Jets.

Rocheon Johnson is seen as a high-flex option due to his consistent role in the Bears' offense, with nearly 40% snap share and a strong performance last week. He’s expected to have 10–15 touches in a matchup against the Patriots, making him a viable RB2 option.

Pat Freiermuth was recently removed from the injury report and fully participated in practice, showing he’s healthy. Heath believes he should be a full-go player and is expecting a strong bounce-back performance.

Kirk Cousins has led the NFL in passing touchdowns and averages 260 yards per game. He’s performed well against strong defenses, including the Rams, and is projected to outperform Caleb Williams and Tyler Schuck in this matchup.

Fantasy managers should avoid Keenan Allen (vs. Vikings), Colston Loveland (vs. Patriots), and Zach Sharbinay (vs. Chiefs) due to injury concerns and poor matchups, especially with low-scoring games and defensive weaknesses.

The Patriots have been strong against inline tight ends, with Brock Bowers scoring 91% of his points in that role. Players like Pat Freiermuth and Michael Mayer are seen as safer picks due to their positioning and recent performance.
