Week 7 Recap: Seattle Rocks Mahomes, J.J. McCarthaissance, Refs Ruin Everything, Big Burrow, Little Bryce, and the Pittsburgh Peaky Blinders

Brian Dawkins shares his personal journey with major depressive disorder, emphasizing the importance of seeking professional help and discussing his use of Caplyta as a supplement to his antidepressant. He highlights that while Caplyta offers greater symptom relief, it comes with serious risks including increased chances of death, stroke, and side effects like weight gain and high blood sugar, requiring close medical monitoring. The episode shifts to a detailed NFL game analysis, praising the Seattle Seahawks' dominant defensive performance that stifled Patrick Mahomes and Ken Walker, marking a turning point in their season. The New York Giants' victory over Houston is celebrated, especially J.J. McCarthy’s mature, accurate, and low-error quarterback play, which many see as a breakthrough for a fifth-round pick. The discussion also touches on coaching tactics, warning that mid-season changes to a quarterback’s mechanics—like those in the Vikings’ case—can backfire and create psychological strain. A significant portion of the discussion critiques NFL officiating, citing excessive penalties, referee misconduct, and dangerous in-game altercations, such as a player accidentally kicking a referee and a prolonged melee during a Packers-Lions game. These incidents are described as undermining the game’s integrity and player safety. The show concludes by honoring the unsung labor of tradespeople, reminding viewers that every game is built on the work of dedicated professionals behind the scenes. Overall, the episode blends personal health advocacy, in-depth game analysis, and a critical look at the game’s execution and human elements.

I'm pro-football Hall of Famer Brian Dawkins, and I lived for a long time with something I did not know the name of, major depressive disorder. I carried sadness and anger because I thought I could handle it alone, but I couldn't. Now I want to make sure others know that that support is out there. If you're experiencing similar symptoms, talk to a healthcare professional. Visit mddallies.com to watch my story. Paid partnership with Johnson & Johnson. Brian Dawkins is not prescribed Caplyta Lumateperone. I needed more from my antidepressant, so my doctor added Caplyta Lumateperone, proven to provide greater relief from depression symptoms than an antidepressant alone, building on my progress without starting over. Caplyta is for adults with major depressive disorder when used with an antidepressant and is available by prescription only. Individual results may vary. In clinical trials, weight gain was not common. Patients have increased risk of death or stroke. Caplyta is not approved for dementia-related psychosis. Call your doctor about new or sudden mood changes, behaviors, or suicidal thoughts right away. Antidepressants may increase these risks. Report fever, confusion, stiff muscles, which may be life-threatening, or uncontrolled muscle movements, which may be permanent. High cholesterol and weight gain may occur, as can high blood sugar, which may be fatal. Monitoring is recommended. Common side effects are sleepiness, dizziness, nausea, dry mouth, feeling tired, and diarrhea. These aren't all the side effects. Ask your doctor about Caplyta. We spend a lot of time talking about what happens on the field, but what about everything that has to happen before anyone can play on it? The grass has to be grown. The stadium has to be built. The goalposts have to be welded. That's the work of tradespeople committed to getting every detail right, and Carhartt is proud to outfit those people, the crews making football possible. So this season, when you're watching the game, take a second to think about the people behind it. Learn more at Carhartt.com slash join the trades. On today's episode of the Ringer Fantasy Football Show, the Giants may be going to the Super Bowl. Who's to say? The Kansas City Chiefs lost another really embarrassing game. It happened again. Tony Pollard may be a problem. The Ravens definitely have a lot of problems. Kirk Cousins, Fernando Mendoza, we'll see who's actually going to play quarterback for the Raiders. That and a thousand other things, including the who, maybe kind of looks like Richardson, just a little bit. And what am I forgetting, Craig? The Steelers quarterbacks dressed like Peaky Blinders and no one knows why. Well, it's Europe. It's all the same place, right, TK? It's all one country, right? All that and more after the break. My name is Danny Heifetz, and I'm joined by Danny Kelly and Craig Korolbeck, and we're going over all the games from week seven of the NFL season, starting with Sunday Night Football. The Seahawks just beat the Chiefs by what, felt like 100-0. We are back. Do you have fun with that one, DK? Oh, my God. Talk about a defensive, just dominant performance. That was incredible. This did kind of feel like the Super Bowl against the Pats, where you're like, they just strangled them to death. The Chiefs could not do anything. They totally bottle up Kev Walker, which I thought they would play him well, but I didn't think to this extent. He had like 36 yards on 14 carries. Incredibly impressive performance by the Seahawks defense. So yeah, the Seahawks won 20-3, this was, I mean, basically one of the worst games, maybe the worst game statistically of Patrick Mahomes' entire career. You know, again, three points is the fewest they've scored in a game in Mahomes' career. I think it's the fewest yards, the fewest yards per drive. It's the first game that Mahomes has ever had. They didn't even reach the red zone. Right. Period. And it's funny to me because this kind of felt like it could be a Super Bowl matchup coming in, and this did feel like a Super Bowl. It felt like the Chiefs' Buccaneers' Super Bowl. It felt like the Chiefs' Eagles' Super Bowl, where they got, they were down 30-0, and it felt like the Seahawks' Patriots' Super Bowl. Like, this did feel like one of those other Super Bowls where the Chiefs just get freaking rocked by an elite defense. They really did get rocked. They couldn't do anything right. You really felt no Rasheed Rice out there. It was just Xavier Worthy purportedly being fast, although he could not run anyone once again. Travis Kelsey seemed old. Also, just like the Chiefs missed a ton of tackles on defense. Mahomes was getting the shit kicked out of him. You're surprised going in, if somebody watched for the first time and you said, one of these teams is one of the three undefeated teams left in the NFL, you would have never picked Kansas City. And now, watching this game, I'm like, I have been reconvinced that Seattle can win the Super Bowl again this year. DK, have you been reconvinced? Yes. And look, I think on the defensive side of the ball, they continue to do things that just kind of defy convention and almost defy reality or physics or whatever. What they were able to do in terms of stopping Kenneth Walker, they were able to do things that just kind of defy convention and almost defy reality or was kind of weird because they totally bottled him up. They held him without an explosive play. They, you know, they had to like, just kept chipping, chipping away. Not to cut you off, DK, really briefly, speaking of explosive play, there were four Seahawks with a longer rush than Ken Walker tonight. Yeah. I just like could never have guessed that that would happen. The Seahawks were incredibly impressive, but they did that and they were playing almost all too high looks. So that kind of defies convention. And then just like big picture Seahawks under Mike McDonald, they've always been able to get an incredible, incredible amount of pressure without blitzing. So they stop the run from too high and they get a ton of pressure without blitzing. I don't know how the fuck they're doing this, but it's incredibly, incredibly impressive. There's a lot of just really good players, but I think the scheme is also getting the most out of these guys. And then offensively, yes, I do have faith again in this offense. I thought the offense was so much, so much better than it had been the last three weeks. Darnold was much more decisive. He was getting rid of the ball a lot quicker. They were incredible on third down. Um, especially with Darnold's legs. He had two really important conversions with his legs. They went 11 for 16 on third down. I think they started out like seven of nine on third down. So they were really converting on third downs. I know that's not necessarily something that you can expect them to continue week in and week out. They got to, they still got to get a little bit better at running, I think. And especially on early downs, but you know, I, it was just a much, much cleaner game on offense than they had had in the last three weeks or so, four weeks. And so huge, huge win for the Seahawks obviously gives them a ton of confidence, that, you know, that they, they were not like falling apart. The sky is not falling for the Seahawks. No. Meanwhile, you look at like, you know, you look in the division, the Rams are three and four, the Niners lost today for the first time, they're six and one, and the Niners are incredibly beat up. You suddenly start to feel as though, even though the Seahawks had a couple of injuries tonight, Rashid Shaheed got hurt, but you do start to think about durability and what team is built to kind of last and go far. And when Seattle, you know, if you get Jadarian Price back and you get Zach Charbonnet back, the idea is that they're going to be able to do a lot better. And I think it would be like, I don't know, maybe the run game can improve a little bit. And now you start to believe like this, at least I do, that Seattle could, could compete again and have a chance to actually do it again. Cause the defense is unbelievable. The defense is all, I would never gave up hope in the defense. I just was like, stop turning the ball over. Of course, Sam played great today. He did have that pick in the end zone, which he probably, you know, obviously wanted that one back, but overall he played incredible. He always has his one. Yeah. He had the, he had a couple of throws to JSN that were, you know, 99th percentile throws, dropping in a bucket down the, down the sideline. That one, the touchdown was an incredible throw. He did almost like exactly the same throw a little bit later in the game. It wasn't a touch and got down to like the two yard line. But yeah, I was, I was very impressed. It was a huge bounce back game for that offense. Do you think it'll be tough for the Seahawks going forward, Craig, when teams have the radical strategy of just doubling JSN instead of just leaving one-on-one all the time? Look, we were, we were, I was texting the entire night, like put two guys on Jackson Smith and jig, but there's literally no one else to throw it to. It's Cooper cup, AJ Barner, Rashid Shaheed's hurt. Like, what are we doing? It says he's always open. Just put two Calvin Johnson and put two guys in front of them. Go one underneath one of them, do something, do a box in one. Do they ever do that in the NFL? I don't care. Like try something. The meme of like Calvin Johnson, where there's two guys on him. Just do that every time. I know. It's like, I don't mean to be like Steve Spagnuolo. What's the phrase has, has, has, we'll forget more than I'll ever know about football. Like, you know, I don't want to pretend. I've forgotten a lot though, because that part was clear. Craig, he's forgotten a lot. When they sent the cover, he probably forgot how many yards Jason had last year. They're sending eight blitzers and living like three guys one on one. And I'm like, why don't you just send seven and double Jason? It's overly simplified. I know, but I do like the Seahawks are specific and that like, you can't do that to Jamar chase. There's too much going on in Cincinnati where they could, if you doubled up Jamar chase, they could get you in other ways. I'm like, if you doubled Jackson Smith and jig, but I do think it would significantly affect this fucking offense. Jackson Smith and jig bar. It is 900 yards pretty much this year. wasn't it there was a stat in the game that was he has jackson smith and jibba has like 50 of the seahawks scrimmage yards yes it's it's like the mavericks or something it's like it's just him you know donald and donald is they have great chemistry and donald plays really well but it's like it has never more been about one player than it is for jsn this year on the seahawks yeah yeah i mean it is pretty remarkable i mean schefter had this good post before the game that espn research had which was basically that ken walker it was on pace for the most rushing yards in the nfl or sorry in like an NFL history and that jsn is on pace for the most receiving yards in NFL history yeah and ken walker was bottled up but like jsn is still on pace for the most yards in NFL history like he had 150 yards tonight so i he's in oh i'm trying he's on pace for 2150 yards and he has almost 900 receiving yards in in seven he is 860 he's having the we've we said this he's having the best wide receiver season of the season he's having the best wide receiver season of the season of the 21st century for fantasy yeah and i guess real life perhaps too it's impossible to compare eras and stuff but like just to pick the seahawks as a franchise i i still could never get over the fact that he broke the seahawks single season receiving record last year in like week 11 he's gonna break that same mark this year by like week nine dude which is so funny to me he has 35 of the team's total scrimmage yards but yeah no i i so maybe maybe double them who knows i'm like half of them that's like sounds ridiculous they're like stupid i'm sure it is but i don't know no it there's a certain point where maybe just double the guy who is cool because they did in the second half cones or they even brought it up where they kind of pressed him and then had somebody over at the top so that even if he beats you there's somebody to protect you on top and i'm like just do that why doesn't everybody do that every game against seattle i think the the more interesting question to me though is because it's funny to have craig tiptoe around be like i think the seahawks maybe could win the super bowl i'm like yeah they won the super bowl i think that this is like a nice return to form for the seahawks defense mike question dk is i mean i don't know after losing ken walker like they felt like a different team the first six weeks but they did and they feel back but the thing i'm wondering is do you think that dk how much of this is the seahawks defense is fully back versus do you think there is something just off with patrick mahomes and the chiefs offense because this looked more like the chiefs offense that frankly was a slog to watch for like years after they were not fun anymore and i'm wondering how much of that do you think is a return and because i look at this chief's team and i see khalil benson at left tackle who's done a great job as an undrafted free agent replacing josh simmons it's rare that you would have or sorry he's the seventh rounder i always forget i don't remember either now at this point i said it so many no he's an undrafted free agent and he's done a fine job run blocking but his past protection's a mess and then on the other side they have josh's zudu who like couldn't even stick with the giants and you know what i mean and he's that right tackle and so the chiefs have this interior line that's really strong and the tackles for mahomes off an acl tear are kind of a mess and we're pretty much dominated the entire night and i think that's kind of the answer to your question of why are the seahawks just stopping the run and bottling up ken walker so i guess i'm wondering do you think this will be a problem for the chiefs going forward that their tackles kind of suck and they're out of receivers because rishi rice and taekwon thornton are hurt or do you think they just played the seahawks and as long as they don't play the seahawks every week it'll go back to how it was i think it's that it's it's the same kind of thing we were talking about where drake may had to play the seahawks twice we're like oh god is he broke it no it's just the seahawks do this to pretty much everybody i mean going back to the beginning of last year the seahawks have really been just like one of the toughest teams to go against as an opposing quarterback kind of crazy they let up 23 to justin herbert and yeah three to patrick mahomes um makes you think there's the i mean i was just looking at the chiefs came into this game fifth and scoring they were averaging 28 points a game like the chiefs the chief's offense is not broken this was just like what the seahawks do in terms of make make things very different and they're not broken they're not broken they're not broken they're not broken they're not broken they're not broken they're not broken they're not broken on the quarterback in terms of pressure where the pressure is coming from um you know and then they missed a couple opportunities for bigger plays like uh worthy had one plat play where he kind of had a step on emin wari and then missed it and mahomes was really bummed about that i think kelsey had a drop too um and they didn't get anything out of the run game i mean yeah yeah emin wari chasing him down mahomes getting mahomes losing the grasp of how fast the people are who were chasing him and not having pocket awareness felt like i don't know it's almost like a video game where i'm chasing him or something but overall i don't know in the trenches it felt like every individual seahawks defensive lineman was better than every single chiefs offensive lineman in front of them for the entire game like they actually just had it just felt like everybody was outplaying everyone including the secondary too obviously witherspoon emin wari all these guys are kind of manhandling everyone that's supposed to be blocking them there was an incredible physical advantage that i think the chiefs try to have better with you know creed humphrey and the guys up front but not tonight but um yeah i want to give a shout out to byron murphy i saw a tweet from michael jr who was like brian byron murphy's build is crazy he is he is truly like a square he is so boxy his build is so crazy uh anyways he's just like an ass kicker on the inside and changes the line of scrimmage constantly he beats double teams he stonewalls rush it to you know like when they try and move you off the off off the line he's just an ass kicker and then obviously leonard williams is really good the seahawks have a bunch of sort of role player pass rushers too that kind of just show up random times for the game nuoso derrick hall all these guys so demarcus lawrence yeah it's not a position marcus lawrence of course yeah they just have a ton of guys do you think part of the chief's problem also craig is that harrison booker's not manly enough to make two field goals i just feel like a real man hits a 58 yarder he's not a 50 yarder we should take his man card yeah i mean there's a lot of other guys in the league who hit that 58 yarder so i don't know maybe a couple girls could hit a 58 yarder i bet sure some could um my favorite thing to do is when like when a team wins or loses surprisingly then you go back and you kind of like hindsight is 2020 the the previous schedule and you kind of go back and you're like well actually now this makes a little bit more sense looking at the chief schedule now that they've lost the game i feel like i was blinded by them being undefeated yeah and now you go back and like all right week one they beat denver who i don't think is very good then they beat the colts who we now know are a disaster they beat the dolphins and they beat gave up 30 points four straight games in a row then they beat justin herbert and the chargers those are their five wins i'm so glad you brought this up i think it's a real question because i i week one you got to remember the because that was the best the chiefs looked they dominated denver but denver's tackling was so bad in this game they clearly were not ready for the season like they were missing tackles that like their effort was a huge issue and davis was calling plays yeah they weren't prepared and again the head coach was still plotting a power struggle to take over the but i agree like again the chargers are literally winless the dolphins are tanking and kind of we're excited to win today but we're tanking the raiders now look bad the colts i i i do think this chiefs that again they have two like sub replacement level offensive tackles and they ran all over these pretty bad these defenses are terrible that were the colts dolphins raiders and charges are probably three of those are four of the worst six defenses in the nfl right now yeah and i just kind of think this can i don't know it's basically i was surprised how quickly mahomes in the passing game without rishi rice reverted to horrible the moment ken walker wasn't the single most productive running back in the afc yeah i mean we talk about how important jsn is to seattle it's like ken walker to kansas city feels perhaps even more important because when ken walker runs for 36 yards so his stat line tonight 14 rushes for 36 yards that feels a lot like kareem hunt last year you know when the chiefs couldn't do anything and then right now they're like oh my god i'm not going to do anything and then when they can't run the ball you can see how how just difficult everything is and then yeah coupled with rishi rice i mean dude travis kelsey xavier worthy and then cyrus allen caught a pass i mean it is pretty bleak when when they don't have no agree and they can't run the ball you know what's funny too we always say ken walker's like a home run hitter right but then those home run teams get to the playoffs and like you know the yankees and suddenly they can't hit and you're like oh well you gotta play small runs this team sucks yeah you're like oh my god like you gotta move the runner along yeah the dodgers can't at home runs it's worth like they're playing denver again next week on the road i don't know it's i agree though it's worth monitoring kansas city i don't know yeah we'll see i maybe that would be the good take is that ken walker's actually a sell high who's not off this game people still need to go maybe don't do it right now yeah okay anything else on chief seahawks can i actually i do want to give mike terrico a shout out i don't know if he's going to win this game i don't know if he's i thought his call on the fumble was absolutely electric when my home's got just absolutely walloped by derrick hall and terrico's like the ball's out still out still out oh my god still out i was edge of my seat it's like it's it's lovely to cap your week with mike terrico because beginning your week with al michaels is the exact opposite experience yeah terrico's the best announcer because he's doing the nba now too he's doing the nba now too he's doing the nba now too he's good at it he cares i mean dude mike al michaels did the fucking bears patriots game which is like an electric game and there's like crazy shit happening all the time and he he just and luther burden into the the romandre stevenson halftime run he gave nothing to that in the stevenson you guys were meaner to al michaels before i was and i i thought at first that it was a little sacrilegious and then you two i don't remember which one of you pointed out that al michaels literally peaked with announcing with the the miracle and ice was 46 years ago was that like the best moment of his career was 46 years ago yeah and i'm like I guess he has been doing this for a while. And now I think they like buzz him when something like crazy is happening. And so he kind of, that's why he does the Rashid Shaheed because that's when the buzzer hit. Ramondre Stevenson waltzes into the end zone. Wow. 50 yards at the end of half. Okay. Quite literally like that kind of play has never happened before. He's just like, oh. Happens one out of every 5,000 times. Yeah. All right. Let's get to winners and losers from the day. Obviously. My winner is J.J. McCarthy's Cam Scataboo and the New York Giants. Sorry. The New York Giants. New York Giants. That game is better and better every week. We are the New York Giants. The Giants are in this room. Harbaugh tricked us. He did. He like, he the rope-a-doped or whatever. He's a pool shark. He got us all to think he was completely mailing it in. It's called coaching. Now it's inspiring. I wake up to that now. You know what? Maybe his mind games with the running back room. Maybe that worked great because you know what? All of them scored a touchdown today. I do like the idea that him like fucking with the running backs and doing all that stuff is it brought them all together. Now they all love each other. They're all like hugging after the game, jumping in a circle together. It's just inspiring. Really. I can't believe J.J. McCarthy. So the Giants, this is a major story. So the Giants beat Houston in overtime today. The Giants beat them 27-21. Walk off. Touchdown from Devin Singletary. J.J. McCarthy looked like a top 10 pick today. Yes. You know what I was thinking of? Remember when we finally saw what Bryce Young, he finally started doing the things that we were like, oh, that's why he was a first round pick. This is the first time where J.J. McCarthy was doing like real quarterback stuff, not just running around, like kind of making crazy plays, like real quarterback stuff. And I was like, oh, that's, that's why we thought of ripping passes. Yeah. He was ripping. Let's go through the passes. And then can I give you guys my theory on what's going on here? But I, this is, this was unbelievable. I, so just to go through the game. I mean, so J.J. McCarthy completes 20 of 28 passes, 252 yards, no touchdowns, but no, no turnovers, no interceptions. First Giants quarterback to have two passes of 40 yards in the first quarter since Eli Manning in 2011, which is when they won the Superbowl. But the throws, the pocket management, stepping up, scrambling to throw, but keeping his eyes downfield. All these things you want to see in a quarterback. Calm. He was calm. He wasn't frazzled. The throws themselves. Accurate. Accurate from clean pockets. Accurate from dirty pockets. Accurate on the move. Velocity. He end touch pushing passes outside the numbers over linebackers to the back shoulder, past cornerbacks with the game on the line in obvious passing situations. Like it wasn't necessarily like all play action, rollouts, moving the pocket. Like he was doing real quarterbacking in this game throughout against one of the most talented defenses in the NFL. And he crushed it. And on top of that, he also didn't do anything stupid. Which is also just as great. I, I, I've never rooted for sacks, but even this, he took three sacks and I'm like, Oh yeah, he ate the football. Yeah. He's just like, I'm not going to make a huge mistake here. Yeah. I, I thought this game was like a revelation and tell me if I'm high or not. But the giants got JJ McCarthy for a fifth rounder a month ago. If someone called the Vikings called and say, Hey, we're six and oh, we would love to give you a second back for JJ. I think the giants have to say no. Yeah. Um, yeah, I think so. I would like to say I was totally wrong and I'm willing to admit it. I thought the trade was stupid and he looks really good and it was, it was worth it. And I don't know, you know, what's funny is I, I always, I kind of thought that JJ McCarthy was like, because I still have seen him play so little, I guess Jackson dart as well, but because Jackson dart is like the incumbent, I assumed that he was older than JJ McCarthy, but JJ McCarthy is older than Jackson dart. And it's kind of weird that I'm like, I mean, darts really good, but it will be funny if JJ McCarthy continues to play really well. Hi, if it's, do you see in any world where this becomes a thing or no? A hundred percent, it could be a thing and that's fine. Who do you want? Whoever say it right now, who's your favorite son? It's not demonstrated any ability to stay on the field. And I know that's rich to say about JJ McCarthy too, because he's also had like four injuries and 12 games, but they kind of both have, but that's why you need to tell me that like dart and McCarthy are both playing great. And it's a problem. I'll take the problem. That's fine. I don't care. JJ McCarthy is under contract. Through the end of next season, then they could pick up the player option. If they pick up that, then they have McCarthy. He would be a free agent in like the March, 2029. Fine. Who cares? This is a great problem. Okay. But really in who, in your heart, who do you love more right now? Follow your heart at this exact second in time off the high of this game. I love JJ McCarthy, obviously Jackson dart. I love on a deeper level because he's like Woody, Woody from toy story, just throwing him in the trash. Basically. I dude, I get it though. I get, I was so blown away by how well you came with your lock five weeks ago. I know, right? Like everybody loves the backup quarterback, man. Am I not? But here's the thing though. He's a, he was a top 12 pick. And like, I think it was a little bit of a reach at the time, but he hasn't played that much. He missed his whole rookie year with the meniscus injury. He's again, this is five quarters of really good football. I'm not just like being biased, right? Like you guys were blown away by the pass. Dude. Yeah. Yeah. Throwed him that corner. Route that neighbors ran and, and McCarthy throws this like guy in his face. He kind of like whips it to the sideline as he's kind of spinning. And it's like this, this rope that goes right into neighbor's hand. You're like, wow. He has this, that sideline shot to neighbors. It was between Kalen Bullock and Derrick Stingley jr. He has the, then the right sideline shot to neighbors over Kamari Lasseter. It should have been a touchdown, but it set up the touchdown. He found Malachi fields, who has been a fantastic rookie. He's a perfect third option. He's huge. He's like, if T Higgins, it was like fine instead of like great, but he's like really serviceable as a number three guy found him on second and 17 found a layer, this other throw over trim on Smith to Malachi fields on like a third and four that was essential. And then he also found fields on like a third and eight with people like, like a, like I think it was Willie Anderson or someone was like right in his face. He should have had a 50 yard touchdown to jail or a 70 yard touchdown. Jalen Hyatt, Jalen Hyatt was unable to look up to the sky because I hate Jalen Hyatt, but I just still on the giants, huh? I couldn't believe it either, but I just was blown away. The whole game. And so can I post three scenarios to you and you have to pick which one is most likely to happen? Most likely. Yeah. Okay. So next off season, these are the three scenarios. We're not going next week. We're going off season. Yeah. Yeah. Let's assume that he plays well. Cause you do, right? He's, I mean, he's perfect. He's not going to make any more mistakes. No, I think he's the MVP. So he's established. We know he's good. Okay. Next off season, three scenarios, scenario one. Well, we head into training camp and Harbaugh, goes, it's an open quarterback competition. I don't know who the starter is going to be. I think they're both good. Scenario two, uh, Jackson darts, our starter, and we stand by him. And it's like a Mac Jones, Brock Purdy situation where you have the best backup in the league who works in the system. And that is kind of the pecking order. Scenario three is like the Steelers trade a second round pick for him. He's on a different team next year. One, two, and then three. Really? There's no reason to trade him. If he plays anywhere near this level, anywhere remotely near this level, there's no reason to trade him because he's cheap. And then I think because dark gets hurt a lot. The only reason that dart there's, there's a thing in the NFL. You can't lose your starting job to injury. I don't know if that really holds over like an entire off season, darts out the whole year and quarterbacks. So important. I, Harbaugh is not a guy to me that shies away from competition. Like I, I, I don't know how dark, how horrible would really want to handle that. I don't really know if Harbaugh has ever had that, um, with two young quarterbacks at the same time, but it's a unique position to have two guys that were very recently, just very high draft picks, but aren't, aren't they? I'm fine with the quarterback competition. That, that would be fine to me. Uh, I, I will say though, I, I, again, it's easy to say this. Now we have like months and months to go with McCarthy playing. Well, if that's a good problem, like there's a line from Marlo Stanfield in the wire where they're like, when you got the crown, everyone's coming for your head. And it's like, he's like, that sounds like one of them good problems. That's how I feel about your question. Like if McCarthy plays so fucking well that they might have to bench Jackson dart, that's incredible because giants fans were so excited about dart a month ago and then they distraught. I thought it was just going to be Jameis. This is all I, I, to flip it on you. If you're the Vikings DK, you have to be distraught. Dude. They did it again. It's kind of crazy. Yeah. They did it again. Yeah. So they let Darnold walk. He won the Superbowl. I'm not saying JJ, but it's like if JJ McCarthy ends up being good, they will have done this twice in a row. It's a catastrophe. There's no reason to get, they flipped him for a fifth. They couldn't wait to get rid of them. They, every time he ended up even getting, closer people started talking about him. They're like, we got to get rid of this guy. I mean, dude, do you think Kyler Murray's gonna be the quarterback from Minnesota next year? I kind of don't. Kyler's not good. Basically have the worst offense for an undefeated team. Like ever, like the defense is absolutely Superbowl caliber. The defense it's right there with the Seahawks as in like could Vikings are the only other team. I think we wouldn't be shocked if they did this to the chiefs tonight and their offense is fucking abysmal. And Kyler's kind of like old Russell Wilson. If he was with the peak Legion of boom, it's like total mismanagement. It doesn't make sense. And like, you look and you're like, how could McCart? I don't know. It's so weird. I feel like if McCarthy stepped out with Minnesota, he could have played well there. I just want to know what was happening in that building. So the last couple of years with JJ McCarthy, like if it just really went bad and he did like the Marvin Harrison thing and just didn't want to be there or what, like it was, it's just so strange how quick, how much they wanted to get rid of them. Like to me, to me, that says when you, when you see how they've, they treated that, it was like, he fucking sucks in practice. We, we don't want to have anything to do with this. You know, I mean, that's or he's a total team cancer type player. which he doesn't really seem to be that type of guy i think to steal a line from craig sometimes you're so inside the bottle you can't read the label and i think that's where kevin o'connell ended up with this yeah uh the and again to steal a line from kevin o'connell organizations fail young quarterbacks before young quarterbacks fail organizations and you see over and over again was sam darnold horrible or did he go to the jets you know what i mean like yeah that's why open with all these guys young quarterbacks again mccarthy was a pretty young prospect who again he's only played like 12 games i think this was his 13th game and just in overall appearances not even starts and so and he went when he came into league it was he needs more starts yeah and that's why i wasn't like he'll definitely be good i'm like a fifth rounder to find out it's like opening a pack of cards i'm like i don't know what's in here but i like the percentage chances are fine and we'll see it's one game but i will say this i think what happened to vikings in a minute two things one i think there's an ego death with the trade right like it just there's a reset you it's you know you're in a new situation there's like an ego death didn't even wear the face paint today i was like is that what his face looks like you know what i mean it was i think that was good for him agreed but i also think craig kind of looks like joe keery doesn't he from stranger things without the eye block he does look like that guy from stranger things he looked more mature without it a hundred percent i mean of course he looked like a little kid with it on he did and i think that helped uh it's all yeah it's almost like he was a like a childlike alter ego that maybe he could leave in the past but i love 9 2.0 is 18 but my in all seriousness if i had to guess what's actually going on aside from any mental in in um uh basically where was this craig in golf you ever like tried to fix your swing on the course of course it's a disaster fucking disaster like that's a good rule of thumb with golf you can tweak here at the fringes but if you're in the middle of a round and you try to like change your swing yeah that's a fucking disaster because you don't have enough shots to do it well so it's only going to go poorly right do you guys remember last year kevin o'connell trying to mess with jg mccarthy's like throwing mechanics in the middle of the season he got the yips he actually looked like he didn't know how to throw a football and i think that is what happened to him in nutshell kevin o'connell the coach of the vikings gave the most detailed breakdown on a quarter mix mechanics i've ever heard for a coach in season talking about his starter and i think that's what happened to him in a nutshell kevin o'connell the coach of the vikings like he had this whole breakdown usually here from like a quarterback coach in the offseason and it was the head coach in season talking about his quarterback's footwork and i'm like why are you telling us this it was so strange but i think that's so jj gets in his head and now you're like thinking about throwing you have to think about everything else you can't think about how you throw during this season well you know it is what it is there's another example of that happening currently in the nfl on a different team and it's miami and it's the chargers yeah what mike mcdaniel did to herbert and he's like oh my god he's like oh my god he's like oh my god he's like and causing him to kind of like change his mechanics and change his footwork and it is clearly affecting him and he's not able to kind of like just react in the moment he's thinking as he's playing and it's clearly affecting him and obviously you can tweak stuff but to overhaul mid mid midstream isn't and i think that's like my best in addition to just natural growth and all these things but such a seismic between the worst quarterback in the entire league to today he looked i'm pro football hall of famer brian dawkins and i lived for a long time with something i did not know the name of major just watch today's games and uh also i we we also should give credit to the giants run game giants run game is freaking good uh 188 yards on 34 carries four touchdowns on the ground they average five and a half yards per carry scataboo came back with authority single terry's rip it off big runs and kind of just be in the uh he single terry is very much sort of the polar opposite style uh than scataboo you know like the teacher's pet yeah he's the older guy he's really calm and just does his job scataboo is kind of just like all over the place um but yeah we have to give credit to the giants run game did you like scataboo i mean scat dude scataboo i love him so much scataboo had what did he finish with he finished with 100 17 carries 124 yards in a touchdown a week after he had no carries ran in a touchdown did a backflip and then they cut right to a state farm commercial where he's back with jake from state farm and i'm like all right we're back uh it was good to see him get more carries than commercials this week so drew breeze is the announcer for texans giants and yeah he does have like a basic he just sounds like a guy i also kind of think jj watt weirdly i can't tell it's ever jj watt i agree i would have thought jj watt has a very distinctive voice but i'm like is that i don't know who that is it's only when nance comes in that i know it was right but david emailed in and it was perfect and he said drew breeze at one point was trying to call cam scataboo a workhorse but he misspoke and he called cam scataboo a war horse a war horse and i think that's actually way better that's good scataboo is kind of a war horse yeah dude i look i'm not willing to call it but it's getting close scataboo versus jenty which is the great argument of this podcast it's getting close i know jenty's hurt so we're gonna probably have to just wait till next year when he doesn't have some weird injury to his ankle but scataboo ankles maybe yeah scataboo i i'm telling you his greatest skill is effort he tries harder than everyone else on every single down his touchdown he is he is like like his life is on the line running into the end zone more than i i think i more than any other player in the history of the nfl when i watch him i feel like his life is on the line yeah i love him i love him so much he's one of the most already one of the most fun players i've ever really oh my god he's gonna be a beloved giant talking about scataboo makes for a good segue are we ready to move on past the giants if it's or do you want to oh no let's no that's fine we got years to talk about mccarthy the giants i cannot wait this is gonna be like highlander if it's us to choose between darton and mccarthy there could be only one the ringer fantasy football scataboo scataboo was the victim of one of the worst calls i've ever seen in my entire life this was one of the worst officiating weeks i can remember um so nfl officiating is my big loser of the week this lions packers game it was on like throughout almost the entire country the only the only region of the country that didn't have that on as like the game of the week was the la like las vegas area everyone was watching this absolute meltdown from the officials in this lions packers game we can just go through some of the games that we've seen in the last couple of weeks and we're gonna go through some of the calls that were made that by the way i've never in my time i don't think i've ever watched a game where the announcers were so vehemently against the calls multiple times during a game it was brady and burkhart brady brady and burkhart were like oh that is that is a terrible call and burkhart's like that was crazy there was a uh intentional ground and call by on jordan love when he threw it like towards love uh towards tucker craft tucker craft's like in the area and he's like oh that's a terrible call and he's like oh that's a terrible call and he's like oh that's a terrible call and he's like oh that's a terrible call and they called call and he's like oh that's a terrible call and they called intentional grounding on him and intentional grounding on him and intentional grounding on him and kb was like craft is right there that kb was like craft is right there that kb was like craft is right there that was crazy dude they They bring in Sterritory. He's like, yeah, yeah. It kind of looked like he was in the vicinity. So there was an intentional grounding. There was three or four really bad roughing the passer calls. Like one where basically a guy just pushed Jared Goff over. He like fell down. He's officially getting out of hand. I think he's one of the worst crop of late hit to the quarterback that I've ever seen. Jared Goff gets pushed down and it's like, all right, that's a light push. Then they like play the longer clip. He's getting shoved to the ground in the back by the offensive lineman. And he's just getting thrown at Goff. It was so brutal to me. The low point of the entire day, other than the Seattle thing, which is, I mean, the low point in officiating history was the ref that. So this happened a couple of weeks ago. I think it was in a Vikings game. I can't remember the exact details, but the ref came screaming in and then towards like the ball and accidentally got knocked over and they start gets up and start screaming at the player. I love how fired up DK gets about. He got suspended for this ref got suspended for that. This was almost as bad, if not worse. In this Packers Lions game, I'm on Rob St. Brown caught a pass and he was like fighting for more yards. He didn't know if he was called down or not. So he kept he got kind of up and kept running and accidentally kicked this ref who was again screaming in from like way out of the screen. He ran to the physical like the to the altercation got accidentally got kicked in. He was on the stomach gets he on his back. He's like fumbling for trying to reach the flag and like chucks it up as hard as he can. Like it's just a frickin maniac. These guys are out of control. We got to check we got to we got to check our our egos at the door. We do need robots reffing games after all these refs are out of control, man. DK, I'm personally disgusted that you don't have any respect for the men running toward running toward all the chaos. OK, well, while they're running around, Vontae Wyatt are fighting. You know what? All the other players are scattering. You know what? You know what? That referee was running toward it and then he got a kick to the he literally is lying flat on his back after getting kicked to the ground and he yanks his flag out of his waist and throws it from the ground. It was unbelievable. It was like tossing up a flare. The best part. He didn't even know who the who was on. He didn't know who hit him. Someone's getting flagged on this play. OK, he got up and he decided it was on Devontae Wyatt. Nobody trips this guy. It was so ridiculous. If you freeze frame it, both lions. And Packers players are like, what? Like they both thought they were getting a flag called. I just have the mentality of like Seth Rogan and Bill Hader from Superbad when they bust the party. Prepare to get fucked by the long dick of the law. That is the mentality that they bring to the moment when they're breaking up the fight. It's so true. I assume you all have guns and crack. Oh, my God. Anyway, it was every now and then. I'm reminded that Deke is right and that these the refs. Dude, it's taking hold. It's straight up like a fucking grenade and he's going out. Somewhere deep in their soul. They truly believe we're there to watch them work. Well, look. No, it's leaving your mark upon history. You know what I mean? It's just it's just leaving a little. It's pissing on some great monument. It's like a little sense that they've always felt must be hard to be a ref because they're. Look, your job is to is to basically be unseen and call a game and not be noticed. Milford, man. No, everyone's trying to break the rules on every play. Totally worth remembering. It's like you can't win. It's a winless job to have. Yes. And like part of the job is to kind of get disrespected and you just have to swallow it. Like even when like when receivers catch like a cool pass and they get up and the refs like holding his hands. Like, hey, can you pass me the ball? And they just like fucking throw it by them and they got to go scramble and pick it up. Totally. No, don't worry. I'll get it. I got it. Any other context you could do that? Like, is there any other? In the world, a 24 year old kid could just like throw a ball, be like, go and fetch it. Sixties, eight year old man. Like, it is really demeaning. I'm like, I'm a PA at the ringer. I drop my water bottle on the ground. I'm like, Bill, pick it up. Yeah. Like, no, of course. And then it builds and builds and builds. And then you get kicked in the stomach. You trip and fall. And that's what you're fucking ripping flags on the ground because you're like, I've had it. I've had it. Amon Ross St. Brown has been spinning the ball at me every time he gets the pass for two hours. Gotta go find the ball. Fucking spinning off. Demeaning. There was this one, though. I think the rest were tilting. Everyone was tilting. I thought Dan Campbell going for it on the. I know you could look at the analytics and say Dan Campbell made a good decision. And after the fact, he was like, well, we'll get in their possession. I don't care. He was just mad. They didn't get it on third and one. He was like, fuck it. We're doing it again. Dude, there is also a mathematical judge. He was tilting. But the rest were tilting when they got kicked. Jared Goff got another roughing the passer in this game. And I Dean Blandino. And they were. They were like, hey, Dean, isn't that rough? That really roughing the passer? Dean Blandino comes in and says, I would. He said, that's teach tape. That's exactly how you should tackle a quarterback. And then as he's saying this, they transition the audio. And the referee's like, personal foul, roughing the passer. And Brady in the background is like, oh, no. Oh, come on. No. With all this said, though, Packers also blew the game because Matthew Golden dropped a crucial second and eight. Josh Jacobs dropped a touchdown. Pass. Bo Melton dropped a huge pass. Christian Watson didn't drop a pass. But I really bought. We need a different word for when a receiver gets a pass batted from them when they're trying to field it like a punt. But like, they're not trying to attack the ball. They're not trying to high point the ball. They're just fielding it. And then they're mad. Someone knocks it out of their hands. And then, of course, the DK Metcalf, the DK Metcalf. And then, of course, the Packers kicker, Trey Smack. Today, just more feel great name and history. Hope he stays in the league. Missed more field goals under 35 yards. Today than the rest of the entire NFL combined has all season. They were nasty. This is the really short one that he missed. Did not look right. Dude, the Lions turned it over on downs 25 yards from the Packers end zone, and they did not get points. Yeah. So it's like the referee screwed both teams, but mostly the Packers. Mostly the Packers. Yeah. However, when you miss two kicks under 35 and lose by three. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But yeah, I don't think anyone's taking that narrative away. I think the narrative of watching. That game from America was these refs are out of control. We need to reign them in. You do hate it, dude. I think I feel like it's like a palpable thing. The refs go out there on every play looking to call a penalty. There's a difference between calling the egregious stuff that's affecting the game versus going out there and trying to find every little fucking thing they can find to throw a penalty. When did you start hating referees? Is this like when you were a kid? When you were a kid? Was it the Steelers Super Bowl? No, it's a slow build over time. I just think they try and ruin the game. It's like making the product very bad. They're making the product way worse. Like, am I wrong? The product this year, there's been more flags. I haven't looked at the stats for updated for this week, but like, I mean, look, the amount of flags we've seen is incredible. You texted this. You said, how does the NFL allow this? It's a balance, right? Like sometimes, you know, there's a lot of flags in the game. And then you see. You see the penalties and you're like, yeah, I mean, I don't know. He was holding them. Are you like, yeah, like it was a P.I. But then when you see the shit like these roughing the passers and the announcer, again, the specialty ref, the broadcast ref, whose job it is, is to know all about refs and teach the viewers at home about refereeing. For some reason, they're also disagreeing with the calls on the field. That's the shit that makes no sense to me. I hate that you can't reverse it. When Tom Brady and Gene Steratore, I would trust those two more than any of the refs on the field. And when those two are like, that was not roughing the passer. I think it's fucking ridiculous. You can't change it. I think it's maybe, maybe about changing. It's a Pandora's box. There's three. I think there's three reasons stuff like that happens. One is it's hard and it's going really fast. And sometimes you're like, oh, Jared Goff got hit really hard. And then you're like, they don't get we get to see it in slow-mo and they don't. But there are certain flags now that you can that you can revoke based on booth review or whatever. Like, I think the real answer is you apply that in the context of the like. There were a lot of missed calls this week, right? 20. Sure. Call it 10. OK, well, every game has like 150 plays and then there's 16 a week. So it's like you're thinking about the 15 bad calls, but you're opening it up to 1000 plays a week being reviewed for flags or undoing 30 flags a game or 20 flags a game. And it's like, do you want every fan base watching every slow-mo freeze frame for where's the holding? Undo. That holding. And it's like it's just at some level that nothing will ever be perfect. And you have to like you would pretty quickly be wistful for the definitive of the guy said so. And that's what it is, because it's the best system we have. And so when you can or can't like I think face mask is a really good candidate, maybe roughing the passer. Make it like make it like ABS. You can tap the helmet twice a game and review it. Yeah. Just the problem is ABS is even ABS is objective, so to speak. Even then a strike zone. It's actually three dimensional strike zone, but that's too complicated. People, but it's like holding or whatever. It's like you don't want every flag to be like this. They may pass interference reviewable for years ago. It's a fucking nightmare because they forgot there's like 10,000 passes a year. You can't have 10,000 passes. There needs to be a limit then. But I don't think anyone's going to be upset if maybe it's each team gets one flag dispute per game. No, that that makes it worse. But then you get one and you get it right. Do you get another one? Yeah. OK, then you get it wrong. And then there's another one later. People like add more to flag disputes. No, no, it would it would be better. The game would be better if each team had one. And then there was one. - No, because then you're undermining all this stuff. the flag i just basically i think the short answer is you need i don't love refs as dk q says we have you just can't play without them you can't play and the reality is like you're just yeah you're making it like so black and white though i just don't want like 10 egregious calls every week like if there if you miss a couple bad if you miss a couple plays that are like bang bang that's fine these are just so egregious those were really bad and i think that there is a weird thing right now where we are getting such better angles of this than they do and that's the gap you're talking about craig is that like well if they could have watched that and made the flag they would have changed with the roughing stuff they're standing right there i think they're standing three feet away the league office is also telling them going into a week you got to do this teams are submitting that's what i that's what i dislike about it too is like they have all these points of emphasis like how about we just stop getting everything so wrong how about that make a point of emphasis to stop making egregious calls but this week the packers and lions don't need flags every time someone celebrates a little bit or talks to yourself talks to an opposing opposing player like we don't know what's going on here we don't know what's going on here we don't know what's going on here we don't need all this stuff no one's asking for this why are we doing this do you actually think scatabo flag was the worst flag you've ever seen in your life no not really but it was really dumb that's like to me the perfect example of like we're just looking for stuff to do now we're looking for like penalties to make up he trucked a guy i don't think that one's been called i i'm sure i could be wrong but i don't remember a runner being called for unnecessary roughness for their helmet in like years yeah like that was that was a that was years ago that that was a thing it was just it it felt like it all came to a head today there was like six really bad calls that i mean the boy the other was the boy aim off of one in the bangles game which was it's good the bangles won that game and that one was wild that was like he got shoved into tyler huntley and like he got shoved he got cut block so he there was like an outside run or something like that i can't remember exactly what it was it was yeah and he got cut block cut blocked and so he was kind of like flying through the air and he ran into the air and he ran into an opposing offensive lineman and he got called for a low block a defensive player got called for a low block like what are we doing yeah it's and it was it it reversed the third down stop that the uh bangles made and then the i think the ravens went went on and scored on that drive yeah he literally gets cut blocked and falls forward into another offensive lineman's feet and yeah you watch so ridiculous we're just making up the video again and i don't know the answer the problem is is like i don't know where you draw the line because i forget which game it was but there there was a there was some play where an offensive lineman was pushed by the defensive lineman into the quarterback it might have been in the green bay game and they initially called roughing the passer and then the announcers are like this literally can't be roughing the passer and his own offensive lineman hit the quarterback he was backing up and hit the quarterback and then the ref said upon further review it's not roughing the pass yeah see that was what i was gonna ask you can do that why can't you do it when jared goff goes on and he falls over right i think the real answer is that because the game's in prime time some kind get better treatment because there's one central league office that gets to look at it all and they can't do it as the standard of replay assist in that's my issue later games that's completely different than prime time we need to be able to fix that well it's tough because no one wants to be a fucking ref everyone would rather all the good refs went to tv i think craig's best idea is the tv ref should be the refs like i agree about that maybe dean blandy just should be like those are the buffalo wild wigs yeah i want the guy in the booth with every angle calling the shot that's what i want well they yeah the truman show guy ed harris that's what i want christoph it's got like a beret on yeah yeah that'd be good all right but speaking of that game though that was i mean that the bangles ravens game that was insane i mean the ravens went at halftime up 13 nothing and then the bangles ended up winning was it 35 to 13 yes my as the bangles and i'm going to couple that with my loser which is the ravens and it's nice that they happen to be playing each other uh 35 13 it was 13 0 at half joe burrow had 46 yards passing the bangles looked terrible they looked completely discombobulated it looked like another stinker like weird bangles performance and you're like god i don't know what you're like is burrow gonna be in the bangles next year they come out in the second half burrow throws four touchdowns he goes 16 for 18 249 yards uh they went five straight drives in a row in the second half with a touchdown until punting with like three minutes left in the game so they literally just came out of the second half and scored five straight touchdowns and completely shut baltimore down t higgins had zero catches at the half had 148 in a touchdown in the second half they looked like a complete different team and burrow looked great and now the bangles are four and two they desperately needed this win they're third in the division baltimore is now somehow in last at four and three in the afc north uh and this was like once again a horrible ravens collapse there's like a million stats out there about how bad this was about it's the 17th time since 2020 that the ravens have blown a double digit lead worse than the nfl they're like a better version of the chargers you know they're like a more legitimate version of the chargers they are literally that drawing they're like the elaborate horse in the front the donkey in the back the ravens are the point differential this year the ravens are first in the first half plus 65 and their last in the second half minus 70 and they're like oh my god a 135 point swing which no team this century has had a larger second half differential through seven games in the ravens what is what what does that fall on is that bad coaching or just organizational dna yeah can you believe john harbaugh let the ravens fuck up another game today yeah that's crazy i know i think the answer honestly is ronnie stanley the left tackle nailed it today and ronnie stanley who's the longest tenured player in the ravens he said this to reporters today i thought he said we're cursed there's a hex on our team and we can't get we don't know what to do literally so ronnie stanley said they asked him like what's up why do you keep losing these games he said i think we're just too much in our heads during the game we have one bad drive and then the other team is one good drive and we start feeling something happening in the game for us it's just a refocus and we just have to focus on our identity what we need to do and really not look at the scoreboard and that's something that we talk about doing a lot but i don't think that we've really ever put that into action i think it's a huge part of sports i think a massive part jj mccarthy you could argue it's like the same type of thing going on where it's like one bad thing happens and then a second bad thing happens and then a third random thing happens and before you know it you think you're unlucky and you think you're bad but it can happen in the other direction too a good thing happens and then a second lucky good thing happens and then a tipped ball gets caught by your player and now you think you're back and you have the confidence and you're playing like you i really believe in that stuff and when you're this deep in this this nasty spell that the ravens are in you start to believe it before it even happens and then you're like oh my god this is what people mean by momentum and this is why the funniest argument to me in sports between nerds and jocks that ever happened was that whether momentum exists because analytics and any you know we're like momentum is like oh like if you don't get points in fourth down you lose momentum and like people are talking about win probability charts and adding expected value percentages and athletes are like they don't know like they're not talking about that they're like no no like certain plays make me feel bad and they're like well that doesn't have to do anything when i feel bad feelings i can't do my job like and that's the truth is like confidence affects your ability to execute and it's also contagious and the ravens are infected with the lack of belief they need fucking ted lasso like they all pucker factor they need like to exercise the demons or whatever they don't believe in themselves when they're winning the game they're all waiting for the other shoe to drop and they honestly it's like a ted lasso problem like they actually need like i don't know if they gotta throw stuff in a garbage can and lay some stuff on fire or whatever but like um when your longest tenured offensive lineman is volunteering to reporters that he's saying that he doesn't think they're mentally strong to finish games it's an unbelievable thing to say this can happen to anyone i truly believe that like you can you can get in a funk and get the yips or whatever you want to call it slumps like it happens to everybody and you know they need like one big playoff win and it might fix everything but right the one stat this one's really good the last team to lose by 20 plus points after leading by 13 plus points at halftime was colts versus giants in 1950 oh my lord i mean you do kind of think about it you're like man they were up 13 and they lost by 20 no it's been more than 20 but yeah they also have no short yardage offense either but that's neither here nor there um okay dk who is your problem of the day who's a problem we're gonna stick with this game joe burrow is kind of a fucking problem you guys he's flown under the radar a little bit i feel like this year but he is the qb3 through seven weeks uh he's averaging 22 points per game he's second in touchdown passes this year second and pass rating only jared goff is higher one of the best off target rates he's he's really been nails um and i feel like we just haven't talked about him a whole year uh four touchdowns almost 300 yards he's just kind of balling out and he is playing the way that we kind of think he can play when he's on um but i just don't i don't know i just wanted to give him as far as i feel like we haven't really talked about him that much this year no and it's funny when you said that you know only him and jared goff then you look and you see jared goff is the number two quarterback in fantasy i i did have a thought today like a mini intrusive thought where i'm like i don't i don't really know what the difference is between jared goff and joe burrow like joe burrow's marketing joe burrow's better i know that but like i don't know it feels like burrows burrow's spiritually feels like 34 to me like i feel like his mobility's like now he just sits and rips which is what cough does he's the youngest guy to do the park and bark for sure and i'm kind of like 29 he's not that young i mean josh allen's 29 fair you can wear it differently sure and josh allen has a little more uh wear on the tires i would say but uh anyway i don't mean that to be like a criticism of joe bird i think because he plays he played great and he is great but i used to think of him differently as like of a more i don't know multi-faceted kind of mobile guy who can like do a lot of things and now i'm like he needs to be kept clean in the pocket and then he's great and if he's not i don't know there's a little bit of like the hr meme with golf and burrow it's the bangs burrow's hot and like has aura and then golf is just golf yeah but anyways burrow was great today i also just think when they're on when their offense is clicking t higgins making incredible catches just not having points and then being the number one receiver on the week with just the second half higgins is so tall he's the tallest man in the world they're like lob city clippers or something where you just like you're like wow they just it's just him picking cornerbacks off just throwing to chase and higgins over and over and over it's so good i think there was a play where burrow is it's like so cool because you can see it from the quarterback's angle i think i'm remembering this right and it's like from behind burrow it looks like he's throwing it directly to the defender and then then t higgins just comes in and like basically mosses the defender and steals it from him and then runs off i was like damn they're just it's just really fun to watch when when they're clicking then of course you had to have a gaseki get his uh one touchdown and and get get that into the game which again he's just like if he had if he played more than 60 snaps he'd be a tight end too i think all the time that mike tomlin called t higgins a goon but he meant it a goon like 90s batman style like the guys just stand behind the villain and you have to like beat up i don't know i just mike is sick he has 12 catches and five touchdowns i love gaseki oh he's such a weird player uh my problem today was tony pollard running back for the titans baby dude tony pollard where the fuck is the number one running back this week yeah how many people started them you think i started him versus dave chang in the ringer league baby good for you i think he started i think he was probably started in a lot of leagues this week because there's so many injuries and uh buys but yeah i tony it was the throwback this man not not that long ago i mean a little long ago we were like is he maybe the best player in the history of football not really but i just i think we all love tony pollard almost had tied his career high for rushing touchdowns at halftime and they gave him a third touchdown right at halftime then they reversed it he ended up getting a third touchdown but he really should have had four uh he was an inch away from having four touchdowns and yeah he had 35 points in a week where i think three other running backs even hit 20. so i mean jonathan taylor is like the seventh best running back right now and tony pollard doubled jonathan taylor up this week yeah so he's probably never gonna do it again this year that's why i that's why i chose him they'll probably never be on this list ever yeah unfortunately craig who's your problem look it's gonna be my problem is luther burden and i know it was thursday and i don't care and i know that he didn't do anything in the second half it's like i can do whatever i want yeah i'm the host of the show what do you fucking care uh he had 130 yards and a touchdown at the half and like that's all i needed to see the man is human electricity and it's all it's all you needed to see like it was a bummer i feel like the bears started to go like heavier personnel the game changed a little bit they didn't really use him that much and i think if the bears were down like seven the whole game he would have had 250 yards but it was just so refreshing to see that man in open space and how how dazzling he can be he really is dazzling yeah uh super super quick the way he kind of eludes like he he and jameson williams kind of have the same style where it's like you catch the ball anything could happen anything could happen he could outrun seven guys it would not surprise me yeah he's just so electric james top five receivers today james williams and luther burden yeah lucid burden was a top five guy and it's similar to james and williams it feels like it feels like the ben johnson offenses are so good it's almost like ben johnson can decide who he wants to have a good game you know or there's just like sometimes it's for james williams i'll throw him a bone yeah and now it's like luther for the vibes i'm gonna i'm gonna give luther burden 130 yards in one half and now on the season he now leads the team and catches yards and touchdowns um and i love him it is good to see the bears start to level out a little bit in terms of being able to use them in fantasy like romo dunes they had yeah a touchdown in the game uh colson loveland had a touchdown i believe yep and now that khalif raymond is not like ruining everyone's fantasy lineups like it's it's fine we're okay you know things are good again great yeah this episode is brought to you by nationwide everyone knows that to win in fantasy you need players that can be so much more the qb that can throw for 400 yards and rush for a touchdown the defense that can snag a pick six or the running back who can also bring in 15 receptions it's like how nationwide is so much more than a great insurance company they're one of america's largest financial services companies too now that gets the start for your insurance and financial needs nationwide is on your side nationwide investment services corporation member finra columbus ohio this leave the driving behind while you grab a snack from the cafe car settle into your seat and focus on the game ahead travel the northeast corridor comfortably on the amtrak northeast regional or acela visit amtrak.com slash spotify to plan your next trip all right it's so over we're so back it is so over for bryce young and the panthers my god this game you guys ever like buy something at the supermarket like maybe it's fruit or something and you open it just fucking rotten yeah like you ever actually seen maggots in like that was this panthers game the panthers i i mean to think that the first month bryce young was the number three quarterback in fantasy the panthers today got pantsed by tampa bay it was 43 to 6 and somehow by some way the buccaneers had 43 points despite just 64 passing yards dude there was a point in the early fourth quarter where baker mayfield had seven completions and the buccaneers were winning 43 to 6 seven completions they were up 20 buccaneers were up 20 when baker had three completions it's crazy which is why baker's not back it's the panthers are over baker came into the game with a glove and they're like we got it from the tampa bay race his thumb can't go back can he throw nobody knows i think they threw five balls behind the line beyond the line of scrimmage and yet the panthers sucked bryce young completed half of his passes 160 yards through two picks they muffed a punt he fumbled the ball they returned it for a touchdown so what is that that's three turnovers four with special teams another will turn over on downs they handed the buccaneers the game and this one from opto sports blew my mind tampa bay had a quarter where they had a pass touchdown a rush touchdown a field goal a defensive touchdown a special teams touchdown or a return and an extra point which had only happened one other time in NFL history yeah i think i think bryce young more than any other quarterback in the league i am always just right around the corner from bailing on him and believing in him i it could be his entire career no matter how good bryce young is i am always going to reserve a little bit of skepticism for him and i'm not sure why but it's games like this he threw some terrible runs today like it was bad he was a mess and and i don't know if it's his stature or how bad he was to begin his career but i don't know what he would have to win the super bowl for me to be like yeah i guess he's good would you because sam donald just won the super bowl and then you literally came into the season you're like i think he's gonna suck again so i don't know if the super bowl would do it maybe you're right yeah yeah and the bucks offensive line was great the bucky they had a drive where they had nine runs in a row they went night a 94-yard drive with nine runs and they just scored a touchdown so it was the whole team just kind of like and they had a drive where they had and now the nfc south is just once again a total mess we have the panthers and the falcons have three wins and the bucks and the states have two it's just stray cats fighting in an alley who's your so back greg um look kyle pitts is so back and i don't know what you want me to say but it's true he is back he now has four touchdowns in the last three weeks he's the number two tight end in fantasy football over the last three weeks which is significant and look with panics it works and i don't know what you want me to say that's like pretty much it it's sometimes like i hate fantasy football because it's so dependent on the connection two people have and if if that if one of the people in that connection leaves it all goes to hell this is what pacific rim was about i never saw pacific rim oh it's terrible but i love it it's great dude pitch reminds me of the show homeland where it's like season one we were like holy shit what is this homeland in its first season beat breaking bad for best drama at the end i know everyone was talking about yes unseated breaking bad crazy and then the show just got worse and worse and worse and by season four it was like an unmitigated disaster and then they kind of changed some casting and then it kind of got better and then and then the show ended and it was like oh i'm pretty good and i think that's what's gonna happen with kyle pitts yeah and it's the best part is he's only 21 years old so he's still got time um dude have you by the way have you ever seen I don't know the name, I'm sorry, but there's a person, a woman on Instagram who, does impersonations of Claire Danes just doing like really mundane things freaking nails the impression anyway we'll share that later but yeah it is crazy how again I'm still not quite sure how good Penix is but he really changes the fucking game when it comes to Penix is fun to watch again I hope he stays healthy like I like watching Penix he's fun he kind of is the number two tight end in the last three weeks there's no way that's true it's true by the way the Falcons beat the 49ers today 29 to 20 49ers no longer undefeated 49ers man finally the Campbell's back collapsed so many injuries insane I mean George Kittle literally said it after the game he was like we had four receivers active and just people understand four receivers being active means if someone gets hurt and then you have like three receivers playing and then they run downfield no one can even sub out you know what I mean like if you run if you're tired you can't like you run the 50 yards and there's like a flag and like you go off the field you can't even do that because then you can't be the three receivers set so they're trying to do a comeback you know what I mean they're trying to come back while they're down they literally can't run three or four receiver sets that's how they're out of people Brandon Cooks is doing false starts I don't even feel like I usually hate when a receiver does a false start what are you going to do like he's been there like two weeks yeah so like look they're on a buy it's like the most needed buy of all time so hopefully they're coming back for playing the Raiders I'm not worried about the Niners at all McCaffrey got hurt in this game too like you think that wasn't a part of their receiving game plan was McCaffrey he missed like basically the middle two quarters yeah yeah yeah also I will say the last Trey McBride touchdown got him over Kyle Pitts so Kyle Pitts is the number three tight end the last three weeks DK who's it over for it's so over for the Colts it's so over for the Colts I feel like people probably knew that already but there was some reports this week that basically the Colts are going to kind of put off their fire sale if they get a couple W's in the next couple weeks and start to get a little bit of momentum maybe they won't completely reset and try and you know get a bunch of picks and sell off their high paying guys but this loss might kind of just you know make that go a little bit faster and have them get to that conclusion that they need to do that they lost 16-10 to the Vikings I think the fire sale is probably coming Daniel Jones and Reigns dreadful 13 of 22 for 108 yards in a pick against the against the Vikings shoot I don't have this in front of me I want to say the Vikings blitzed on like 80 something percent of their snaps in this game but it we I think Craig you said it last week or early this week that Flores is playing like a kid who just plays engage a it's I can't get that out of my head now he's basically like we're going to just do this as much as we can until it stops fucking you're like you know you can't you know I can't do that do that why not watch me some eight-year-old like why can't I do that 80s 80 what was it 86% it was crazy on the season they are now blitzing at a 69% rate great number the next closest team at number two is the commanders at 42% so they're like almost 30% higher than the next closest team they're just Vikings Superbowl odds are would be higher if they had JJ McCarthy who sliding doors man I don't know I feel like JJ McCarthy would never have he worked in Minnesota he'd completely like the momentum thing that we talked about he'd completely lost all of his confidence they'd lost confidence in him that kind of is a snowball effect yeah John Harbaugh apparently is great for JJ McCarthy he probably would still be wearing all that eye black who knows what would happen there yeah Greg Roman and Matt and Aggie were like lose the eye black I don't know I don't know I don't know I don't know I don't know I don't know I don't know I don't know I don't know so the Vikings are six and oh they have an almost 50% pressure rate on the season because they're blitzing seven out of ten snaps and even when they're not blitzing they're still totally discombobulating quarterbacks because then quarterbacks don't know where to frickin throw the ball also this is a staff from Austin Minnesota has the worst offense by EPA and success rate for any undefeated team through week seven since 2000 you guys remember that season when the Steelers were 12 and oh yeah terrible yeah that's right that's just like that I like the one with the card the Kyler Murray started like nine and oh and nobody acknowledged it then people got bad and then they sucked yeah I kept thinking watching this game of something about Mary you know when he when Magda the old lady accidentally takes the speed or whatever that they threw in for the dog and then she's like lifting up the couch like fucking vacuuming and shit like going crazy I'm like this it's Brian Flores with his defense he just he's absolutely manic right now he's just he's just he's just he's just he's just he's just he's just he's fucking loving it is there a chance like what if it is just like a ten-year-old calling plays and Brian Forrest has been on vacation that's the Enders game joke yeah honestly they probably be doing fine who else this is so over for Craig well it might literally be so over for Kirk Cousins and it's it's kind of over for the Raiders unfortunately the Raiders I apologize to our beloved Austin Gale the Raiders lost today 35 to 21 for the Rams it felt worse it was 28 to 6 for most of the game yeah yeah it got out of hand in a hurry they've now lost four in a row they've lost to four really good teams so like you can't kill them too much they've lost to four playoff teams just so I want to read it they have lost four straight but it's to cheat the Chiefs the Pats the Bills and the Rams oh yeah that's tough and they've now allowed 30 plus points in four straight games the defense has been getting totally shredded they're three and four now um questions about Mendoza are kind of circling and the presser and kubiak's like we got to think about everything Kirk's acknowledging it very professionally I might add Kirk is being like look if they think he's better I'm going to support it I want the team to win if I'm not the best quarterback to help the team win that's fine um but yeah the Raiders are you know sometimes you get a little ahead of your skis the Raiders are probably 8 and 18. yeah what when what's their schedule here I'm gonna look at this Raiders are such a hard team to evaluate to me I mean the defense sucks and they were surviving a big place and that but the defense is supposed to suck but they have literally beaten three of the worst teams like they beat the Dolphins in week one they beat the Chargers in week two which felt big at the time and they beat the Saints in week three which we thought the Saints were better than they were those teams have been pretty bad and they like Dolphins Chargers stands really bad but the teams they've lost to again Chiefs before tonight I like maybe the Super Bowl favorite the Patriots were in the Super Bowl and kind of got their mojo back right when they started playing the Raiders the Bills who I think a lot of people picked to win the Super Bowl and the Rams who were literally a Super Bowl favorite and I I don't know I I guess sure like I'm not going to pretend like the Raiders offense played great but also Fernando Mendoza's not going to fix the defense the defense gave up the Rams started three and out and then they went knife through butter four straight touchdown drives and they went up 20 I don't know how Fernando Mendoza is going to help the goddamn defense and so the bill is scoring 33 and then the Patriots are scoring 45 I I don't know I Kirk Cousins leads the NFL touchdowns I know it's not that simple or co-leads but and certainly more mobility would help but I also think if there's any like if they switch to Mendoza I don't think it's a mistake but I also kind of do I I don't understand why they would deviate from the plan or you know what I mean because I think we came into the season thinking the plan was at the very least wait until their bi-week in week 13 because of the schedule we talked about this a bunch in the preseason yeah that Casey New England Buffalo Los Angeles like the Rams that schedule is absolutely murderous they got New York next week the Jets so that's not as that's not as bad the Jets are really bad but then after that it's San Francisco Seattle and Denver yeah it's like why would you throw your rookie quarterback out now it's like are you trying to win the division you're not going to win the division I'm sorry you have to be a little bit realistic um so they they they face Jets 49ers Seahawks Broncos and then Cleveland in week 12 and then week 13 they have their bye just wait until after the bye and again why would you do it now I feel like this is there are so many people right now I'm sure that are just like Mendoza has to play he's the number one pick rookies have to play you can't get better on the bench and I just like yes you can I can't against Seattle you can't against Denver well no but that's I mean look no I'm saying you can't get better on the bench yeah I would have said that about McCarthy and the Texans too but like he played great so there's an argument you can I will say this though I just it's not normal for rookies to start in their rookie year it became a lot more normalized with the CBA and like basically the game within the game it be became like using really cheap rookie contracts the quarterbacks had to play but like it was really common for anyone to just sit for if you're the number one pick there was more pressure but it's really common for rookie quarterbacks to learn for years and again I'm like Patrick Mahomes sat for his entire rookie year Aaron Rogers sat for three years and I Tom Brady sat like Tom Brady didn't play as a rookie he's a six-round pick but the reason I have so strongly felt that they might play not play Mendoza until after Thanksgiving was like Tom Brady feels so strongly about this so I don't know I I don't when I watch the Raiders Kirk could play better but I'm also like maybe the Rams defense just played awesome and the Raiders have no fucking receivers and like this whole multi-personnel we're gonna have Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer and it's gonna be like Trey Tucker and Jalen Aylor otherwise well when you're down 28 to 6 that's kind of up all of a sudden like it's not necessarily a great plan to have the two tight end sets all the time when it's like that and your receivers And so, I don't know. I don't know if you're setting up Mendoza in a great position to succeed. And, like, we'll see. I don't know. I agree. I feel like you're just like, this is what we're doing. We're focused on the long term here with Mendoza. You don't need to shove him in here now because you lost a game in an ugly way. Like, you're thinking about next year and the year after and, like, building the right type of quarterback and stunting his growth by just throwing him in now because you've lost a couple games in a row. It doesn't make any sense. Because you learn bad habits. There's so many times you hear quarterbacks who later are like, I wish I had sat longer. And you don't say that when they're 24. But when they're 33 and on the edge of the league, they're like, wow, like, I really, like, now I understand football. I didn't know anything at the time. You're like, now J.J. McCarthy understands football. There you go. Well, he had to work with Matt Nagy and Greg Roman. Mendoza would be so lucky. All right. It's time for America's favorite segment. Fart or shark? Oh. Again, Heifetz, thank you for sending in your own Foley. Yeah, that was really, really sweet of you. Do it for the love of the game. Okay. Danny Kelly. Yeah. Listen up here, okay? All right. Nico Collins of the Houston Texans. Our beloved Nico Collins. We like Nico Collins. Over the last three weeks, the Houston Texans have scored 81 points. Real life points. And over that stretch, Nico Collins has 136 scoreless yards over three weeks. Today, he had six yards against the New York Giants. The New York Giants, he had six yards. And in just the last two weeks, Nico Collins in fantasy football has been outscored by Marvin Harrison Jr., Xavier Hutchinson, Jalen Knoll, and Dalton Schultz. He has been outscored by four of his teammates in the receiving category over the last two weeks. Nico Collins. Fart or shart? I think part of me is very worried about the just sheer number of receivers this team has. They keep adding receivers. They keep trading for receivers. Okay, are they even that good? We're worried about Dalton Schultz and Xavier Hutchinson and Marvin Harrison? There's just too many freaking receivers. There's too many guys. His target rate has dropped dramatically over the last three weeks. I don't know if that's necessarily going to continue. I do still think he's their alpha. I don't think this is quite a shart. But I do. I do think that you have to temper expectations. Because in week one and two, he was getting almost 30% target rate. I don't think that's going to happen now that you have Marvin Harrison in there. You have Tank Dell, who just came back off the injured reserve. He's going to get some snaps. Jalen Knoll did get hurt today, so that could help. That could help Nico Collins. Tank Dell was kind of creating a lot of big plays for them. Sorry, Jalen Knoll was creating a lot of big plays for them. So him being hurt, he has turf toe. He could miss a few weeks. So that could help. But I do think that Marvin Harrison hurts his upside. Yeah. You know how there are certain offenses, like Seattle, where you're like, the point of the offense is to get Jackson Smith and Jig with a ball. It doesn't feel like that with Houston and Nico Collins ever. It feels like if it's the right play and he's open, Stroud makes the throw and Stroud's good and Nico's good and it works. But it never feels like the game plan is to get Nico Collins the ball. Right. Well, that was what felt like had changed early on in the season. He had 27. 27% target rate, 31% target rate. Those are elite, elite numbers. That's like Justin Jefferson, neighbors, you know, and I thought something had kind of changed there. But yes, you're right. I think now it feels like Jalen Waddle on Denver where it's like, if he's open, yeah, I'll throw it. And he's kind of always been a little bit volatile because he's a big play creator. He's reliant on big plays. He's never had like a really high target rate. So I don't think it's a shard like you can't not start it like you don't have to sit him. But but on the scale of expectation, I think I would. Call it a shard based on relative expectations with the way that they're spreading the ball around. Yeah, I don't think he's a top ten wide receiver the rest of the season, which I think is what you drafted him to be. I think that's fair. I actually think he will be. I think it's like Marvin Junior is like a friend, but your friend has this college friend and now your friendship dynamic has kind of been thrown off. It's kind of like a friend, like a football romcom where you're like, I thought we had a good thing going. He's in town. I'm going to hang out with him the next, you know, whatever. But he's not just in town. Now he's moving in. He lives with me now. Exactly. Like, I thought it was going to be on your couch. Like, no, he's just like he's in he's enrolling in the school. He's he's transferring. Wow. Exactly. So it's a little dangerous, you know, you think you're saying it's a shard or you're saying it's a fart. I think that Stroud made a concerted effort to get Marvin the ball. But I also think that these things ebb and flow and just I don't know, there's plenty of circumstances where Nico is I like, you know, he. I think the concern is the first month of the season. The only people I think with more end zone targets than Nico Collins was just CD lamb and JSN. And then, yeah, that's fell that's fallen off. I think it's kind of also just a small sample noise. It's a strange situation. Marvin Harrison showed up, tank tells back and it's like, oh, all these receivers. I'm like, if someone has Nico Collins is panicking, I would absolutely go trade for him. I think it's a little smelly, but yeah, it's it's it's smelly, but I don't think it's a shirt. And also he played Deontay Banks. Just shut him down. You know, Deontay. Banks, who I've always loved. I can play Deontay Banks every week. Exactly. It's like, you know, he's really the new Patrick Sertan. It's probably defensive player of the year, if not a first team all pro. Yeah, always loved him. So he just ran into a buzzsaw, you know. I'm going to I'm going to serve you guys up with a softball here. I think I know the answer, but I had a large amount of frustration playing this guy the last two weeks and his name is Derrick Henry. Derrick Henry has. Thirty four rushes for one hundred and three yards and zero touchdowns in the last two games. Nine to nine total fantasy points. Is it as simple as he's just not good when Tyler Huntley is in or is this kind of the beginning of the end for Henry? Should we start to be worried? Is this a shart for Derrick Henry or is once once Lamar gets back, everything will be fine. Can you please ask the question the way it's supposed to be asked? Thank you. Is this a fart or is this a shart for Derrick Henry? Clear fart. Yeah, in my opinion. What do they have in common? These two games they lost. They got killed today. We all know about Derrick Henry is good when they're winning, but also they didn't have Lamar Jackson. Well, they were winning for the record. They were winning for a half. That's what he had to 45 yards and then he could have had 90. And also Vega Iwane got hurt in this game, you know, so he left and and then Dexter Lawrence just spun Cam Juergens into a new planet. Yeah, I wouldn't panic if he's bad with Lamar for two or three weeks in a row, then I would. I mean, they got Bills and then it's Jaguars who have good round defense, but Bills, Chargers, Panthers are three. Three of the next four games. OK, I feel better. But but watching Derrick Henry have a bad game is more frustrating than watching a different running back have a bad game. I do understand that he doesn't look because because he doesn't power up on the short runs like he has to get going to look good when he has the bad games. He only looks bad like he never at any point looks good when he doesn't play well because he can't. I think I've realized the short yardage stuff. I feel like he can't bend his legs. He can't crouch. He runs straight up like a man wins, and he's always the tallest guy. Yeah, he runs like like he just like chin out, you know, and he'll just run right into the back of his life. He can't crouch down and like jump through a hole. Yeah, that's true. It's like video games, like some video games you can't like you literally there was no crouch button at the time. Yeah, just hit B. Speaking of which, I mean, we didn't mention Kyler Murray called duties out. Oh, we didn't talk. We didn't talk about that. Kyler today was doing a little I heard him in the postgame on the field, his voice. And there's a little Elizabeth Holmes going on. So it's it sounds deeper than I think it actually is. I'll just say that he's deceiving us. Look, I my eyebrows raised. I'm looking into it. OK, yeah, we'll investigate. Yeah. Any other farther shirts? Oh, my colon's clean. Well, speaking of Kyler. Can I throw out a farther shirt? Oh. Danny Kelly. Yes. Justin Jefferson played really well in week one when Kyler Murray played like ten snaps. Right. Kyler Murray had nothing to do with it since week one. Justin Jefferson is the number forty two receiver in fantasy football behind Darius Cooper on the Eagles. Darius Cooper. But this week, Justin Jefferson was outscored by Savion Williams on the Packers, by Marvin Mims, outscored by Barry and Brown on the Saints and by Jordan Watkins on the forty niners. Savion's out there making plays. I kind of don't mind that. His gadget. These are gadget players and punt returners that are outdoing Jefferson. And again. His only good game was with Carson Wentz. So I ask you, DK, what about is this a fart or a shirt for two weeks ago? I think it's a fart. He had six catches for seventy nine yards on a touchdown two weeks ago. His last game, right? Yeah. He was your first fucking pick. Six catches for seventy nine yards. You probably took him over Ken Walker. Also, you should. DK, you didn't point out that in that same game, he had one rush for negative eleven yards. Which? Oh, he had so many. You know, I was being Jefferson. I was being intellectually dishonest on that. You're right. Oh, to me. obvious shart. I want nothing to do with Kyler Murray or anyone that he's associated with on this offense. I was worried about Justin Jefferson last year. Equally worried about him this year. He's not a top 10 wide receiver in fantasy. And you shouldn't trade for him like he's one. And philosophically, the defense is so good that what the Vikings are trying to do, I don't think that they're going to, that they want Kyler to throw the kind of pass, like the fuck it, Justin Jefferson's down there somewhere passless to him. And like they want to get him the ball, but also like this is a defensive team. And you know, I it's not like Seattle last year with JSN where it's like, it's defensive, but we're going to get him the ball in every play. Like for whatever reason, they just, they cannot get Justin Jefferson the ball. Kirk Cousins has like 18 passing touchdowns this year. Kyler Murray has three. Like. So the thing is, is he a buy low? Because I think you could get him. If you think he's a buy low, but I just, Kyler and Justin Jefferson have not really looked on the same page at any point. Yeah. Kyler and Addison look like they are kind of all, every other half, they kind of look like they actually have pretty good chemistry on the sideline. So DK, you're saying fart and you think he's a buy low. Yeah. I'm saying Justin Jefferson. It's I'm just, this is just a fact since week two, he has fewer points than Roman Wilson. Roman looks good out there, but Cody White. Yeah. It does suck when you like say names that you could have just picked up on the waiver wire and they're scoring more than your first round pick that type on Thornton who got hurt weeks ago. That does hurt a little. It does hurt quite a lot. John Dotson has more points than Justin Jefferson since week two. It's just worrisome when your quarterbacks throw in the ball like 21 times a game. And you're like, I hope, I hope like eight of those 15 completions go to Justin Jefferson. Otherwise it's not a great game. Okay. Next one here. Craig's really weird category called debutante ball. That's right. The debutante ball for the players maturing before our very eyes. Still makes me uncomfortable today. I would like to shout out the entire Miami Dolphins team who won today. They got their first win of the season. Can we Pat McAfee clap? You know, they all celebrated like they won the Super Bowl, by the way. Good for them. Huge man. They were screaming. What do you mean huge? What the fuck? Who cares? They're happy. They won. What do you care? Video. What the fuck? I did see the video. What do you care? They're happy. They won. Was there fucking champagne? I swear to God. Yeah, there were literally beers. They were just throwing beers everywhere. Man, look, man. A lot of people were saying they were not going to win a game and they won a game. They won a game. Look, and I will say a beer shower. I said first win for the coaches, but I'm like a beer shower. You're one in five. I don't know. You're trying to tell them to act like they've been there before, but they haven't. Dude, you know what? There was like hope for the first time in years for Miami today, so they can they can spread. There's Carlos. Carlos is chirping in here in our mentions. Yeah, he's texting us being like all of these young skill players are good and I'll give him credit like Caleb Douglas today, the rookie who everybody thought the Dolphins took way too high. Some people didn't even have him on their board. He had two touchdowns on two catches today. Looked good. He's been injured most of the year. Malik Willis had a had a really like rock solid game. Very dependable. Had three touchdowns. No turnovers. Chris Bell is a young guy who looks explosive. Greg Dulcich had a good game and Ollie Gordon who I'm giving my game ball to for Bangkok. Craig Bangkok Craig giving a game ball to Ollie Gordon who I took a risk on this week. I trusted him. He's been sitting on the bench for a while and I said, you know what? Fuck it. James Cook's on by Ollie. You're in. He's kind of good. Ollie Gordon is a guy who when when a Chan went down weeks ago, we were like, yeah, I guess he's the top ad. But like, come on, Ollie Gordon. What are you really going to do since then? Ollie Gordon has had four straight games with a touchdown. He's the 11th running back in fantasy since week three. He's the RB 11 since week three, and I think he officially deserves the Nick Westbrook Akina award for the player. Everybody just pretends doesn't exist each week. This is a great example of how fantasy football works. DK, do you think who do you think will have more fantasy points the rest of the season? Ollie Gordon or Justin Jefferson? Oh, no. Your life depends on the answer. Imagine no one's going to hear you say Justin Jefferson. No, but like what do you really know? I'm not saying what you want to say on the show. What do you actually believe will happen? I want I'm going to say Justin Jefferson. Last here's the give me give me give me the OG Ollie Gordon Bangkok Craig last four weeks. Ollie Gordon 13 points, 17 points, 15 points, 18 points. I would never tell someone to trade Justin Jefferson for Ollie Gordon ever. I'd probably rather die. However, if my life was on the line and I actually was going to die if I got the question wrong. I might pick Ollie Gordon. So why can't you just say it then? Because if you just can't believe that. Okay, well, I don't know if I believe it, but I guess more accurately, I would not be surprised since week four since week three. When when a chain went down, Justin Jefferson has 22 points and Ollie Gordon. He didn't ask me who has more points over the last four. Ollie Gordon has 48 more than double. I know a lot can change in a week. It is funny, though. He just like keeps every it's like he's just ignored it. Remember what would Nick Westbrook Akina was on Tennessee or was it on Miami when he had like eight? Yeah, he had like eight straight weeks. The touchdown. Nobody cared. He scored a touchdown. I think not eight of nine weeks. And then the only week he didn't was the week we said he would score a touchdown. And I gotta say Ollie Gordon looks kind of good. Big fast, like plays with a lot of like energy and kind of like F you to him. He's like driving to get extra yards. He looks good. So yeah, I want to shout out Miami who has it. There's a lot of teams with good young course. Yes, the the Dolphins and the Jets in this game as well. And I think Cleveland's core look pretty good. Totally but this Dolphins Jets game at the coaching was horrendous. But I mean, the honestly, the Jets kind of had a debutant ball to Mason Taylor, the forgotten tight end for the Jets, who's a very high second round. He looks good. He looked great. He looked good last year. He did. He had two touchdowns. He's 22 years old, kind of like been forgotten because of Kenyon Sadiq Braylon Allen looked awesome. Like, I mean, Braylon Allen looks fantastic. He had over 100 yards every time he touches the ball. I'm like, this is just like a Taylor. He didn't have those top two like when he's running. He's just bouncing off dudes. He's he's great. I love Braylon Allen. I should say. Also, he'll be a free agent at 24. Seth McGowan is the backup running back for the Colts. He's a rookie. He's like 25. Yeah. So Braylon Allen will hit free agency before some like free like rookies in this class, like we're even in the NFL and then Omar Cooper Jr. The other of the three first rounders for the Jets had five catches, 150 yards and a touchdown for the Jets today. And then some Omar Cooper stats. Sean Seid at Sumer Sports wrote, Omar Cooper Jr. had five yards per route run against the Dolphins, which was, I think, 99th percentile for rookies ever. And then Dada Rama had this stat that the most receiving yards of all time through a player's first two full NFL games. Puka Nakua number one, 266. And then it's Omar Cooper Jr. 218. Because Cooper I think ran one route in his first. Yeah. So just not counting that he ran one route and got hurt. Right. But basically like Omar Cooper is just up there. Cooper has like awesome. Yeah. Good. Justin Jefferson, Odell Beckham for his first couple full games. We should also say congrats to the Chargers, who after this Miami win are now the only winless team in the NFL, and they currently have the first pick in the draft. All right. Can't wait to be back in on them next year. We're not. No, it's their bye week. We get one Sunday this year without the Chargers. Don't you bring the fucking Chargers into this? They do suck, though. The Browns, too. They also kind of dead ball. Casey Concepcion, 150 yards. Do you get like 130 at half looked unbelievable that if you go look at the Browns drafts the last two years on both sides of the ball, there's like no misses. I mean, that's how you turn it around. Browns are all kind of in the same spot. Like the young players look really good. There's obviously holes in certain spots and the quarterbacks the question and like Malik Willis. I actually like the Malik Willis the way they did the end of half and he just kind of truck. He just kind of truck the defender. I didn't even know he had that in him to be surprised. They didn't throw a flag. Yeah, I I probably on Malik Willis. Unnecessary roughness. That's what I'm saying. Really? Yeah. I will say, though, this game I I officially Aaron Glenn is is in his bless his heart territory. Oh, yeah. The Jets lost again. It's pretty. It's pretty pretty bad vibes right now for the Jets. You could you could argue to Gino Smith and Garrett Wilson are like banding together and having having a two person only meeting talking about the team. They're pissed. So Aaron Glenn won. They entered this game. The Dolphins had not led at any point this season. And the Dolphins led this entire wait. They hadn't led at any time. No, they had not been winning. Are you kidding me? Oh, that's a great stat. Wow. They had not been winning at any point this year. No. And they led the entire fucking game. They also were averaging Zach Rosenblatt at the Athletic at this. The Dolphins were averaging 14 points per game. This like per game this year, and they got 14 points in the first half. And they're sorry. The first quarter. So just immediately the worst team in the league is just kind of dominating you. And then on top of all that, Aaron Glenn is now. So they lose the game. Aaron Glenn is 0 and 8 versus the AFC East. So he's not beaten a divisional opponent yet. And the Jets have also now been outscored in the final two minutes of the first half. 107 to 6. I will say that again. Two minutes of the first half final two minutes. The Jets have been outscored 107 to 6. And I want you to think about that for a because Aaron Glenn is the only coach if i'm doing my math right here 20 is it 28 games for the jets 29 i'm not great at math but 29 times two minutes is about a full game can you imagine if the score of an nfl game today was 107 to six why are they gonna keep him the whole year is this just like they're just gonna punt on this season basically that's kind of the idea before the season they have to get it also wait no i fucked i was looking at the wrong thing no it's not 20 it's 24 so it's even worse than that actually because he's coached 24 games so there's been 48 of these minutes oh wow so literally less than a full imagine if there was a game with 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter and the score is 176 and that's the jets you first half there you go no i think they might have to fire him it's so bad they don't have to but like it's pathetic and like he this week he was like oh i should have used my timeouts i guess we wanted the ball back they just didn't use timeouts to see if the dolphins went out so the dolphins scored a touchdown time expiring it's it's just sad at this point they're a leading candidate for right after the coach gets fired they win a game like it just feels like the entire locker room is trending towards wanting that i don't know if they've lost him yet but they've lost the fan base i don't know do you see gino and gary wilson talking i think i think it's over i don't think gary wilson is again rosenblatt athletic wrote that gary wilson was not screaming gino smith no no they were screaming together about the team they were screaming at one of the coaches who has the radio this is a mutiny yes frank reich's up in the booth and they can't reach him so they're screaming at the guy who can talk to frank reich yeah which is kind of funny to think about it smart move by reich i'm not i i truly i'm not trying to kick anybody when they're down but i just when is the when do you get to the bottom with the with the jets like there there is no fish rots from the head i just i just feel bad for the jets at this point i had crazy jets friends text me this today did you guys see the viral tweet that someone said being a jets fans like having a terminal illness but you never die yeah god you and it's it's even more sad right now because like their their skill position players are good like they have a lot of young good talent yeah there are real reasons to be kind of totally looking forward to the future here yeah no they they need someone else will be coaching whoever we're quarterback yeah but we'll see uh intrusive thoughts dk what intrusive thoughts did you have today watching the games well i kind of already talked about this a little bit but jameson williams is just the fastest player in the nfl i think he has like he has tyreek level acceleration he's so fun to watch i just he's kind of he's a really messy player he's he kind of i think still not where he needs to be at all times but his the sky is the absolute limit with that guy yeah when he when he catches the ball i feel i truly believe he can score from anywhere the the the catch and run he had today where he turned the corner and then scored a touchdown i was like how did he get around that core i really don't understand the physics of how he got around that corner so i just wanted to shout out jameson williams he's been playing great he's quietly a top 24 receiver this year even though he started out really slow um and then the other thing i wanted to mention was wait before you do that i have to tell you that say flowers does my intrusive thought i thought say flowers also looked like tyree kill today yeah he's he's been incredible he's he's the exact same deal where he gets well at any point on the field i'm like he could score from here i should really make a list of the players who i just think are obviously faster than xavier worthy because both these guys are on the list is a hard one yeah i just i really it's it's just apparent how fast these guys are uh and then the other thing i was gonna just i had this thought if you i don't know what i would decide if you had if you made me make the decision of whether i wanted to be a ref or a kicker i don't i think those are the two worst jobs in football uh no one no one likes either of you and if and the minute that you start to do anything wrong you're out you're like you're done to people fair but you would much rather be a kicker because a kicker you can be the hero the the ref you cannot be the hero and get paid a lot and also yeah the two options has glory totally two options for a ref or like reviled or no one knows who you are did you see a kicker is reviled or beloved cam little running and doing the ronaldo and standing there like a hero you know i think you have a loop against the cowboys in brazil like yeah i think if you're an elite if you're an elite kicker yeah adam finn and terry made the hall of fame before bill belichick if you're one of the most if you're one of the best kickers in the league that's a kind of different story but if you're just like a league average kicker people the minute you miss people are fucking done with you yeah because people are like you're not even a real fucking player and you lost like you stupid kicker bitch get out of here guess what they fire you and they pretend it never happened you're not even a real football player you're you're like a second class citizen it is true that that the other players that comes out the moment you're bad like yeah you can't you have zero room for for error it's just tough because physically just the start difference just looking at them they're just already starting way behind like them trotting out to the field 168 pounds you're like this is just you're losing before you walk out of the field the chiefs were fine with harrison pucker when he's making kicks now they're like you know what i never liked that guy like do you do you have any i mean i guess possible has been great for the stealer so you probably have a positive feeling for him but like i think i think 90 percent of the time he's been a good kicker he's been a good kicker he's been a good kicker seven percent of kickers in the league most fan bases are like ah yeah i do i wouldn't love chris boswell he's like he's a he's a very rare one aaron rogers botched the end of that half for saint steelers he did a jaded he went full jaded daniels and took a sack with like 15 seconds left and the steelers ran out there and boswell just drilled a 46 yarder with literally he had like 12 seconds to get out there and kick the ball yeah i just i don't know i just think it's funny how very little loyalty fan bases have to almost any kicker other than like an elite guy i love that when they have to go somewhere else tail between the legs all the other team players are just like pretend it never happened like they're like yeah just total blank slate anyway uh i i think i would rather be a ref to be honest no no that's no you wouldn't i don't know kickers well you just led the show for 20 minutes no matter how much you know that's that's what i'm saying i eat the that that being said i think i'd rather be a ref than a kicker unless i was cam little or something it's 70 yards i will say kickers are like we always said that joke about the app cringe where we're like oh that happened you gotta go and start a new life that's kind of what kickers do like when kickers up enough you just gotta go so you have to be the best kicker of your generation to be even remotely cool i'm just saying i think punters can be cool like i would die for the seahawks punter don't you think there's gotta be a way like that's crazy that you think punters are cooler than kickers i do think punters are cooler you just have a cool punter wow that's one cool punter and only seahawks fans even know about them i feel like we just need to we need to we need to like do like queer eye kickers image you know we need to kind of like make them look different because i feel like there are things we could do that could improve a kicker's perception just visually you know what i mean like a neck like a neck roll like make them look tougher there's something like you know like the loose sleeves and the skinny little flappy arms maybe we don't do that maybe i also think that nikki says the walkout music the walkout music with like the flames and shit yeah walkout music flames yeah like if they came out like mason miller we fuck you know with corn or whatever like but also lining up the kick makes it makes you look dumb it just does the goal posts are huge do we line it up i know you're literally it's like licking your finger and putting your hand like in the wind like that's gonna help like it's i'm saying there are things we could do to take damage you know email us at ringer fantasy football gmail.com if you know how we're gonna queer eye kickers this is really good we're gonna make them cool we also gotta change the name obviously because the name we gotta it's like you know trump wants ai to be super intelligence we're gonna change the name of kicker interesting closer fucking how it's a good name closers they're closers oh they're bringing in the closer it's like you need a better kicker sucks i get it yep close the game i like it yeah okay my my only other intrusive intrusive thought today is that like hook and ladders are officially like they're here like every game every sunday i see like five i think i saw like five today and it is no longer like a funny thing it is like officially a part of every team's game plan and i feel like five years from now mid-play laterals are just going to be the norm i totally agree with that i totally agree i can't remember something going from why doesn't everyone do this to this doesn't work anymore faster like starting to turn well one got like eight yards i'm like yeah here's my problem here here's where i i push back on that high fits the only time teams use it is like third and 18 like just use it on second and five it's true it's so true it's like they should do it on first and ten totally nobody would ever see it coming yeah it's so true the situational i well the thing that i've always wondered where football will really go is the sport or any of us even survive is like i do think eventually two quarterbacks it's so hard to figure out with the offensive line going downfields but i still think having multiple people on the field who can really throw is like i don't know i just think but who knows um i agree they kept saying somebody about that this this week the he was like a college quarterback and i'm now i'm blanking on who it was uh because he got it a couple times and then almost threw it oh oh there's a bunch of guys oh just today yeah there was i don't know i'm blanking no there was someone today now i'm blanking too this is great content it's not going to change this segment if we know the name this is like when like you're talking to a parent they're like was it 84 85 what yeah it was 84 no hold on we were hanging out we weren't hanging out with the smiths we were with no it was 86 and they're like anyway yes i've seen that movie and you're like okay fuck it was the early games okay let's go through every single game it was the early games okay we can move on do we have any other any other intrusive thoughts now hyvers is actually wasn't juwan jennings who cares maybe maybe it's a good fit i don't know we'll figure out one day wait oh it's fine um i can't this is not an intrusive thought but i this is basically stealing from the rewatchables and unanswerable question okay so obviously force fumbles are apex mountain of force fumbles and everyone else that do force fumbles now it's quick it's the most force fumbles ever through peanut punch ever they're up like a third even year over year and probably up a ton and everyone's better at punching right so today drake greenlaw who's a linebacker on the 49ers went to um peanut punch the ball out of drake london sands and he missed and he just punched drake london in the head i've seen this happen a few times shouldn't that be a flag it's like the it's like this uh anchorman thing never not no punching each other in the face yeah of course of course and it's so funny that we've come around and there's all these illegal motions and jared goff's getting roughing the passer for just like getting a light breeze but like we have so many more guys throwing actual punches that i'm like it's oddly under refereed how if you miss it's not really a flag at all to just punch a guy in the gut like if you miss it's kind of fine i know it's kind of weird when you have a running back just like kind of in the scrum and that you got i guess linemen pushing them forward they're like just fucking wailing on him right in the back teddy roosevelt outlawed this shit it's crazy yeah it is kind of wild just holding someone up punch him keep him up keep him up and they're just like beating the shit out of him it's like you know like the matrix when he starts like doing the really fast punching some guy trips into jared goff they throw a flag but jameer gibbs just gets held up and people are just punching him he's getting like internal out of them they're like well it's illegal play if they're trying to force a fumble part of me is like this is football are we kidding but also like that seems totally illegal why are we doing this why do we allow that i don't know but it's some i don't know i so i'm just wondering how long we're gonna go till that that is a good that is a good question uh okay uh flex category i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know but i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know but we have a new one here worst social media decision of the day so i i tried to find out what actually was going on here and i like can't so the the steelers dressed the steelers quarterbacks today they played in paris they beat the saints they showed up dressed like the peaky blinders and the steelers social media page said by order of the peaky blinders and it just showed them all in their flat caps and suits but they're in they're in france i don't get it on the surface this is like the most like murica thing of all time like we like here in america we think europe is a country there's no difference between the different countries oh we're in france i fucking love peaky blinders that's the best show it's like ridiculous somebody give me an explanation about yeah i was like oh am i stupid is there like some reason why this makes sense that i i'm unaware of i can't find it i don't know why they did that it's stupid right austria huh wow let's throw another shrimp on the bobby like come on what are we doing what so what did i so there was no explanation that was just like we like the how the peaky blinders dress have you seen anything i haven't seen anything i haven't seen anything but i i think i know what happened here i actually have a theory and if i can defend my man aaron rogers please i think that obviously they've known they were going to france for a long two things happened aaron rogers loves halloween loves dressing up always has a huge halloween costume okay fair for years he loves halloween it's the week of halloween kind of in peaky so they're just obviously being like we're going to france right like they keep saying that france like not just this week but like may and june and july they're like we're going to france in peaky blinders tommy and arthur and john are talking about france and they're like oh going back he's like i'm never going back to france or like and i that's i think the joke because they fought in france and they always talk in peaky blinders about fighting in france so it's them and i think they started quoting it up the french yes no they're beating up the german fighting on the side of france oh i see what you're saying okay this is like i understand what you're saying hyphens but this is like the biggest stretch you're asking me why and i'm like i think they just started doing tommy shelby peaky blinders bits of france and they're like fuck it let's just like do that as a halloween costume makes no sense and then the social media people just did the quote and it's out of context but it's because it comes like every other episode they're talking about i know but they they were like tunnel rats in france they weren't like wearing suits and shit i don't know well they're no they're just dressed up as it's just it's a stretch if if they were okay if they were going to do the like peaky blinders bits of france blinders bit where they're in france wouldn't they be wearing like english army uniforms or something here's the thing i think it's as simple as they just kept quoting it so much that they thought it'd be funny and i'll say this of all the cockamamie theories i've had on this show i think i'm like very right about i think you're right but i still don't think it makes any sense i think it's really dumb and weird yeah i don't i don't really know i don't know even if they're like the characters reference france a lot so we're going to show them up as them yeah by order of the peaky blinders says the tweet by the stealers you're in you're in paris or is it like we're we're the we're the peaky blinders we're gonna beat up on some french people i have no idea i don't know it just makes zero sense ironically there's no french people in peaky blinders i can't think of any i don't know anyway it's just like the the last thing i would think about when you're talking about going to france and embracing the french culture let's dress up as english people well honestly they didn't do that they landed on fucking friday morning and they practiced twice is there a chance that rogers is playing chess and he's like well look because he keeps bitching about how he wants to go the week before so they can experience the culture maybe he's like look see this is what happens we show up late i don't know i got the whole i got the country right that would be even better he's like i thought we were going to london yeah right we were going to birmingham it's not even london he's like i already got it everyone's measurements you want me to now have bought by the suits they looked good though they did look kind of dapper i mean come on you know what's funny too you ever notice you ever see those memes that are like that hat used to be a thing in england and then eventually people stopped wearing the hat but men just started getting the hat as a haircut yeah yeah yeah now that's just like what all the haircuts guys have in england now it's just that fucking hat anyway uh okay flex category steel blue if i don't understand the stat line and i won't respond to it uh aaron rogers had more rushing yards than any saints player today with eight oh my god trench warfare you can't make a lot of progress i guess they measured their progress in inches exactly that was that's what eddie given sunday's really quoting it's a game of inches um that's a wild stat the saints might just be really fucking bad uh or the steelers are kind of frisky but yeah sure sure alvin camara had six carries for five yards kendry miller had eight carries for six yards that i don't even know how to search for that but something that would be funny if we could go through like how many games in history did both running backs for a team have more carries than yards no i can't i can't get over the peaky blinders thing they went to france as americans and we're like let's dress up as english gangsters i think they're just like they went to paris man it's just like the most hilarious american thing you can do like these guys are badasses we're going to a european country let's dress up as these badasses let's take their eyes i'm sorry like fuck yeah we're gonna beat the french we're gonna be these french saints i guess oh my god anyway um I got a stat for you that's very fascinating. Trey McBride, this is from NFL Researcher on Twitter. First player in NFL history with at least seven catches in each of his team's first seven games. There's no way this is real, right? How the hell is that? That's a crazy stat. McBride has seven plus catches in every game this year through seven games. The only player in the NFL who's averaging more catches per game than him is Puka Nakua. Jacoby Brissett relentlessly targets Trey McBride. McBride is like a lost watt, brother. He's so intense. Great call. He's kind of like tight end Scadaboo. Yeah. I think he's complimentary. He's kind of crazy. He is crazy, yeah. He's one of the most fun players to have in your fantasy team. I've never had him. I have him this year, and it's just awesome. The only thing they do is throw to him. They have no offense. They just throw to Trey McBride. He's super good, super athletic. He hurdles people. They target him in the end zone. It's awesome. It's like Puka at tight end. It's the best. It's crazy. The only other person that's as fun to watch as Trey McBride was Darnell Washington in that Steelers-Saints game, the first touchdown. Oh, yeah. He just caught the ball over Kool-Aid McKinstry, who must be half his size. And they just caught the ball around. They looked like they were cool. He made Kool-Aid McKinstry look six years old. It looked like his son was trying to climb on top of him as someone was throwing him a beer. Also barehanded. No gloves. Should he really be a tight end? What do you mean? What does that mean? Should he just be an offensive tackle? No. I feel like Trent Williams could have been a tight end. What does that mean? Why is he so big? Why don't they have him lose like 25 pounds? What are we talking about? I will say the first drive for the Steelers. He's perfect right now. Don't change. No, I think he could catch 100. Balls if he was like 20 pounds lighter. No, no. He's speaking of things that don't know how to search the Steelers first drive. They had six offensive linemen out the whole time and Darnell Washington. And I'm like, this has to be the heaviest group of blockers in the history. Darnell Washington's the seventh offensive lineman. I'm like, like for a whole drive. Like he should be tush pushing for us. Dude, it's unstoppable. We kind of treat him like Stafford treats Devonta Adams in the end zone now. Like Rogers is like one target. We'll be going to Darnell. He's like the Hulk in the Avengers. You know, it's like the Colston Loveland Cuck chair. Greg, did you have anyone? Chase Brown, who let's say you were out today. Again, kind of a weak slate. Come home. Oh, wow. Bengals, 35 points. This has to be the game. Chase Brown turns it around. Took this guy 15th overall. Wrong. Seven points in Samaje Pirine. Once again, vulture to touchdown. The Chase Brown thing has gone horribly. Do you? I think look, Colston Loveland has had touchdowns in back-to-back weeks. I think we should retire the Colston Loveland Cuck chair. I think it should change hands. Like it should be like, it follows, which we just did in rewatchables where it's like now it becomes Chase Brown's Cuck chair and then he'll pass it to someone else. And when he, once he starts scoring touchdowns, cuz it's no longer, I think it's now the Chase Brown Cuck chair. I don't think it's the Chase Brown. Can I nominate somebody else? Okay. And again, you, you didn't get to watch the games. You check the scores. You're like, oh, Tampa Bay, 43 and Mecca book is out. I bet Chris Godwin had 30 receiving yards. No, I bet Baker Mayfield had 65 passing yards. No, he did not. Can you imagine clicking and seeing? No, it's that, that, that is, that has to be the Cuck chair. It has to be Baker or fucking Chris Godwin. But don't you think? Yeah, but Chris Brown was an early pick. Chase Brown's been doing it week after week after week. Chris, Chris Godwin, one bad game. He gets the Cuck chair title. I get it. I just, Chris Godwin in a game, they had 43 and Emeka book is out and he is 27 yards. I get what you're saying about Chase Brown, but seven, seven, no seven points is annoying. I, I, I get what you're saying. They literally had five touchdowns in a row. He didn't get any. So fine. I, it, it, it, it meets the definition of what you're saying. I don't DK, what do you think? Who should get it? Who should get it? I think it should be Chase Brown. Okay. Okay. Chase Brown. I think Chase Brown was a really high pick and he's been ultra, ultra disappointed. Again, I took him to pick right before Ken Walker in the ringer. Right. Well, to that, to that point burn book, I think this is a two man race between Chase Brown and Justin Jefferson. I think Chase Brown is a perfect burn book candidate for this week. God, is he, is he burned? God, like he, the difference to me is like it, the Bengals running game's bad as always. He also scored five touchdowns in a row and Chase Brown's had a bad run out and I, I, I totally get it, but I'm like, Justin Jefferson, I, I, I actually think if it were, if he were anybody else, we'd be seriously talking about like, whether, like the idea that we're just like out on Nico Collins, cuz he had a few bad weeks, but Justin Jefferson has not really had a good rapport with the Vikings quarterback for like a year. Chase Brown, it's like Chase Brown and Jalen Warren like switched bodies. Like, I don't know. I don't know what, now it's like Chase Brown is just like gets nine points a week and you're like, yeah, okay. Catch a couple passes, kind of shifty and Jalen Warren looks awesome. Can I throw out, we've, I don't know if we've ever done this. I would like to suggest that the Houston Texans defense, ooh, that's kind of good. Who is the 18th highest scoring defense this year. Last day, last year, they were second, they are, they are averaging five fantasy points per game. The Houston Texans have the same rosters pretty much as last year today. They gave up 70 yards rushing on the ground in one overtime possession to lose at home. 70 rushing yards in overtime to the giants and they got the stupid red uniforms with the, with the helmets that look like Christmas ornaments, shiny red helmets. Those are cool. I like the uniforms. I like those. I think this is a really good one. No. Cuz the Texas defense is like when you, when you got them in a draft, you're like, fuck yeah. You drafted them. You reached to draft this. There's only two defenses you would reach to draft. And it's Houston and it's Seattle and Seattle has been pretty good. And Houston, you're still like holding onto them. You're like adding second defenses because you don't want to drop Houston. They've like taken up a roster spot for you. Ever. You want to know something funny? Wait, hold on. I'm going to get this exactly right. He's going to find the receiver who threw the pass. Since week two, the Texas defense has more points than Justin Jefferson. If it's really wants to burn Justin Jefferson, maybe we should just give it to him. Hold on. Wait, hold on. Hold on. Let's see if we can get this. Oh, no. Chase Brown has three more points than the Texas defense since week two. Oh, oh well. Since we too, it has to be chase Brown and Jefferson. We're talking about even if you took the Texas defense, a 100 pick gap, let's give them Jefferson. Burn him. Yeah. I mean, look, I'm not going to argue. He's been, he burned scatter last week and that worked. Okay. Bring him back. We burned him last year too. It's been a, it's been a rough couple years for Justin Jefferson. I didn't know. Yeah. I didn't know. I'd leave the pitchfork charge, but I just, I just feel like there's a certain expectation when you take you have him in a league. Be honest. Is that the problem? No. Not that many. I just think it's like, it's not discussed. Like he, like he's not, but honestly, no, I don't. You don't have at all, but he has not really been a good fantasy receiver since like last September. Yeah. I think it's one of those things for me where I'm just like. Yeah. He's so fucking good. I still know he's good with other guys with other guys that have been disappointing. It's like, oh, can't Jalen waddles like he's not that good actually. Like I'm ready to give up on him. But with J with Jefferson, I'm like, he's just one of the best receivers in the NFL. So I think it's just hard for me to let go of that. He has no, I, I totally agree. He's he's probably still the best receiver in the NFL. He also, if you take out week 18 has not had 100 yards in a game since week 18. He hasn't had 100 yards in a game since week five last year. Wild. We can give it to Justin Jefferson. Has anything aged better than our week one, AJ Brown burn, man. Oh man. Yeah. So week one, AJ Brown, week two, Colson Loveland, week three, Drake may week four, the charges week five, Jalen waddle week six, Kim Scataboo and week seven, Justin Jefferson, real mix of we immediately fix this person or they're still exactly as bad as we left them. I mean, dude, there's a little bit incrementally better. There's kind of an. A little bit of a rock chair going on with, with new England where you're like the last two weeks. You're like, man, Drake made three touchdowns. AJ Brown's back. Must've had a big game. No one catch dropped six balls this week. Wow. Drake may 320 yards against the bears on Thursday night football, AJ Brown must've had a great game. Wrong. Okay. Wrong. While we're here. The last thing I have to say is that I can't tell you the amount of engagement we got on Ken Walker being the third versus what's the second versus junior. Yeah. Yeah. I can't believe how many. I can't believe how many people. Is it the same thing? Are you allowed to use either? How does it work? We were asking whether, you know, can you be like Ken Walker the second or Ken Walker junior? You know, for anyone is that what is the same? We were like, oh, it's interchangeable. Wow. People really, all the juniors and seconds that ever listened to the show. Wait in. And what's the verdict. You're a junior when you're named after your dad and you have the same name as your dad, or unless they really want to name you a second, it's like at the second is like if it's a grandfather or great-grandfather. Oh, it doesn't have to be. Oh, I see. And now I'm sure some people. It doesn't have to be linear. do just do the second instead of a junior but generally speaking in most cases fingers and thumbs yes exactly you can be a second if you are directly down to the generation but you don't have you don't have to be but if you're a junior you have to be next in line in the generation yes like if it's a grandfather and then there's dad and then there's a son and there's like the two generations you're not going to be a junior you're like a second but if i was named after my grandfather but not my dad i could be the second that's that's that is when you that's the definition that is the definition yeah okay says hundreds of people who are mad at us but they all wanted but many people wanted to point out what charles did which is that gary payton has a gary payton the second and a gary payton jr because i think he had there were two women two different women who were pregnant at the same time oh he's an innovator he's an innovator jr one became second Summary:

FAQs

Major depressive disorder is a mental health condition characterized by persistent sadness and loss of interest. Brian Dawkins lived with it for a long time without knowing the name, and he sought help from a healthcare professional, eventually using medication like Caplyta to manage his symptoms.

Caplyta (lumateperone) is a medication approved for adults with major depressive disorder when used in combination with an antidepressant. It helps provide greater relief from depression symptoms than an antidepressant alone and is available by prescription only.

Common side effects of Caplyta include sleepiness, dizziness, nausea, dry mouth, fatigue, and diarrhea. These are not all the possible side effects, and patients should consult their doctor about potential effects.

Yes, patients on Caplyta have an increased risk of death or stroke, and may experience serious side effects like high cholesterol, weight gain, or high blood sugar. Any new or sudden mood changes, suicidal thoughts, or uncontrolled muscle movements should be reported immediately.

Caplyta is designed to provide greater relief from depression symptoms than an antidepressant alone, building on progress without requiring a complete restart of treatment, making it a valuable addition for some patients.

Brian Dawkins is a Pro Football Hall of Famer who openly shared his experience with major depressive disorder and emphasized the importance of seeking support and talking to healthcare professionals when experiencing similar symptoms.
