Week 6 Waiver Wire: MUST ADD Players, Injury Replacements & Streamers (10/13 Fantasy Football Podcast)

The waiver wire strategy for Week 6 focuses on players with low rostered percentages and strong matchups. Woody Marks stands out as a top running back target due to his poor matchup against the Panthers and limited exposure in CBS leagues, despite being rostered in 72%. Wide receivers Jeremy Bernard and Kendrick Bourne are highlighted as high-potential additions, with Bernard gaining a featured role after Roman Wilson’s injury and a strong game against the Steelers. Aaron Rodgers is a strong quarterback pick despite a tough matchup, given his three-straight games with over 28 fantasy points. Marshawn Lloyd, though heavily rostered, offers value with improved line play and a high-scoring game against the Cowboys. For running backs, Damian Pierce and Kendre Miller provide short-term flex options, while Jaleel McLoughlin adds depth. Tight ends like Brenton Strange and Tyler Higby are recommended due to their high target shares and matchups. The analysis emphasizes assessing injury reports and matchups, as many players are in uncertain roles. A key strategy is to prioritize players with a clear path to production over those with long-term uncertainty. This week’s decisions must balance immediate needs with potential for future impact, especially in leagues where waiver wire depth is thin. The risk of overpaying on receivers is noted, with the recommendation to cap fantasy budgets at 10–20% for Bernard and Bourne and 15–20% for running backs. Ultimately, the top three picks—Woody Marks, Jeremy Bernard, and Kendrick Bourne—offer a balanced blend of upside, matchup advantage, and low rostered rates.

This is Fantasy Football Today from CBS Sports. What a play! Can you believe this? It's a no-like game. It's time to dominate your fantasy league. Off to the races, and he stays on his feet. He's just going to go the distance. Now, here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath. The waiver wire for week six. You know, I was thinking, I could use a week where I'm not putting in that many claims across all my leagues. Because the last two weeks have been very busy. Very busy Tuesdays. I don't think that's going to be this week, the not busy. I think it's going to be another one. I think it's going to be a third consecutive busy week. Just like Matthew Stafford has three consecutive weeks of 50 or more pass attempts for the first time in his career, by the way. This is going to be the third consecutive week with 50 or more waiver claims for Adam Azer. Just going to throw that out there. Good morning, Dave. 50 or more waiver claims. Probably, yeah. I mean, yeah, like 12 leagues. I'm putting claims in, I think. You should be good. You got Kendrick Bourne in like 10 leagues before he. You did. Yeah, Kendrick Bourne is taken in every league that Jamie and I are in. I will say that. You know who I dropped for him was Xavier Worthy, I think. And I think I'd rather have Worthy. So, I might have to. I think you should find a way to get both. I dropped Jordan Addison for him in one league. So, I'll try and get Addison back. Wow. I dropped Josh Jacobs for Marvin Harrison. You dropped Jacobs? For Marvin Harrison, yes. What do you think? What do you think is going to. You said it so. Oh, look what I got. What do you think is going to happen with Jacobs right now? I don't know. I know Marvin Harrison is going to play. And I would rather have him on my bench than Jacobs at this point. I don't think I would have done that. No, I wouldn't have done it. That's a lot. I did it. How bad are you going to be if like Josh Jacobs is back in a week? I'll be happy for everybody else that is Josh Jacobs. And I have Jacobs in a bunch of other leagues too. So, if it's. It's one league where I lost Jacobs. It's not the end of the world. But we've heard boo from everybody about Jacobs so far. And we're about to get to week six. This is the point of the year where we thought Jacobs would be just about done with the suspension and coming back to Green Bay. And we haven't heard anything. Yeah. So, I just. He was my most droppable player. Well, I would guess if you're. I wouldn't speculate on Marvin Harrison. I would guess if you're in a league where Marvin Harrison was dropped, it's easy to drop Josh Jacobs. And I did it on Saturday. So, this isn't like. I don't have a chance to get Jacobs back. But I'd rather take the player that I know is going to play over a player I don't know when he's going to play. Well, Woody Marks is the headliner on the waiver wire. But in our leagues, Jamie writes the waiver wire column. And he mostly focuses on players who are rostered in 65% of CBS leagues or fewer. Woody Marks is rostered in 72% of our leagues. However, on Yahoo, Woody Marks is 54% rostered. On Sleeper, he's 57% rostered. I don't have ESPN, but I imagine it's somewhere in that range, too. So, he's definitely part of this equation today. And we need to talk about him. What's funny is, if you think Woody Marks and Damian Pierce might be the two best. Maybe are the two best running backs to get. Woody Marks, definitely better option here. He's got the worst matchup in fantasy. He's going against the team, Woody Marks, this week. That allows the fewest yards per carry to running backs. Jacksonville, 2.53 yards per carry to running backs. Damian Pierce, who I don't know how excited people are about. He had 11 carries for 14 yards against those Jaguars last week. He's going up against a team that gives up the most yards per carry to running backs. The Carolina Panthers, 5.39 yards per carry. Kind of weighted by the Bears running backs in week one. But, anyway, let's get into our top three priorities on the waiver wire in general. Jamie, who are they? Two receivers, and then the third one's kind of just a toss-up. But the two receivers, I think, are the most. Aside from Woody Marks, I guess. The two most. Two of the most prominent guys to go get. And that would be Jeremy Bernard and Kendrick Bourne. Both in great spots right now. If you look at Bernard, nine targets. First game without Michael Pittman. Roman Wilson gets hurt in that game. So, now you're looking at a featured role for him for a quarterback. You talk about Matthew Stafford, how he's playing. Obviously, Aaron Rodgers is playing fantastic. Three straight games with three touchdowns. I said this to you on Fantasy Football Tech Express. I don't know the last time I saw Tracy Wilson post on X something fantasy football related. I said, for your waivers, go get Jeremy Bernard. Aaron Rodgers loves this kid. I'm paraphrasing, but you can go read the post. And she spoke to everybody involved prior to the game, post-game, raving about this kid. Understandably, so great opportunity for him. Kendrick Bourne's in an unbelievable spot as well. No Marvin Harrison. So, you saw the first game for him. Five for 70. It's now two games this season with eight targets. Two games with 12 or more PPR points. We know what the Cardinals are going to be. I put Aaron Rodgers as the third guy. We have four teams on a bye. Two prominent quarterbacks are missing this week without Joe Burrow and Jared Goff. So, Rodgers, not the easiest of matchups against Tampa Bay, but he's just locked in right now. And the way he's playing, if you want to put a different quarterback in there, Kirk Cousins taking on the Bills, they stink and just got really beat up. He's got a great matchup this week. Long term, I don't know how great he'll be and might get replaced by Fernando Mendoza at some point. And James Larson also is in a great spot. So, we just want to put QB as the third guy. I'm fine with that. All right, Dave. So, for James. Jamie, it's Jeremy Bernard, Kendrick Bourne. Both of them are rostered in fewer than 10% of leagues. That's awesome. And Aaron Rodgers, three straight games with more than 28 fantasy points, I think, or 28 or more, which is wild. Who are your top three? I'm good with that top three, but I do think this is a week where you can find what you need. If you're desperate for a running back, you can double check for Woody Marks. You can double check for Marshawn Lloyd. And Lloyd's out there in 42% of CBS leagues. And he's got Dallas and then Detroit and then Carolina. I don't know when Josh Jacobs is coming back. And I don't know if Josh Jacobs is going to instantly go right to the starting lineup and be phenomenal for the Packers. Obviously, if I thought that that was going to be the case and it was going to happen soon, I would not have dropped him for anyone. But because we don't know, then maybe Marshawn Lloyd is worth a pickup if you need a running back. Otherwise, I agree with the order of the wide receivers. Jeremy Bernard ahead of Kendrick Bourne. Bourne had a great game. I don't know if he really saw a huge uptick as far as role or routes. Just because Marvin Harrison was gone. They just used somebody else to run cardio down the sideline instead of Marvin Harrison Jr. But he was good winning on middle of the field stuff. A lot of slants. A lot of in breakers. And he's got good speed. And I figure he'll be a piece of this offense for the rest of the season. But Jeremy Bernard, just as far as short term goes, I don't know if he's a rest of season winner. Because eventually, other pass catchers for Pittsburgh will come back for at least the next couple of weeks. He's doing the exact same thing that Kendrick. Bourne is doing. But Aaron Rodgers is playing really well. And I could see him continuing to win in the short area and get targets in the short area. And Mike McCarthy has loved receivers like this. So taking him as the top receiver off the pile, to me, that's great. And I also want to put in a little bit for Brenton Strange, who we can use him this week against Houston. It's a tough matchup, there's no doubt. But he's been an underneath guy. He's been a check down guy. When Trevor Lawrence sees zone, that's when Brenton Strange is going to be a good guy. He's gotten a lot of targets. He has eight targets in each of his last two games. When Trevor Lawrence is pressured, he goes to Brenton Strange. He's also been getting layup targets at him. So lots of quick design throws to Brenton Strange. Don't think that the Jaguars will run the ball effectively this week. So if you need a tight end, maybe you're sick of the Dalton Kincaid experiment already. You're ready to pivot. Brenton Strange is out there in half of CBS leagues. And for at least one week, he'll be able to help you out. There's a tight end. Also, if you're thinking about Hunter Henry, I don't know how much I buy this. I watch the team. I watch the tape of the Browns Jets game. And Harold Fannin Jr. had a horrible game. But he was open a lot. They just didn't throw to him. But the Jets, I would have to say, might be, on paper, the worst matchup. They are fifth best against tight ends. They haven't allowed a touchdown yet. They have faced Harold Fannin Jr., Sam Laporta, Tucker Craft, and Colson Loveland. Some teams are great against tight ends and haven't faced anyone. The Jets have faced a good tight end pretty much every week. And they're fifth best against tight ends. Again, I don't really know that I buy it. But I don't know how I could just ignore that. So, you know, that's just something to keep in mind for Hunter Henry. I wanted to bring up the matchups. Dave and I watched Marshawn Lloyd. Like, we're chatting about it. I know he only averaged 3.1 yards per carry. It was against the Bears. I thought he looked good for once. And I thought the offensive line did pretty well. That's a big point for me. Jacob and Dan were talking about that on Beyond the Box. Where yesterday, the line for the Packers has done better lately. And also, like, you saw Caleb Johnson had, I think, seven carries. They were all in garbage time. They used a two-back. Two-back rotation in this game. They used Pierre Strong as the passing downs guy. But Marshawn Lloyd against the Dallas Cowboys, you know, this week, and who knows how much longer, I dropped him. I drafted him more than anyone I know. I dropped him, I think, in every single league. Same, yeah. And I'm going to try to get him back. I don't blame you for it. Yeah, I'm going to try to get him back. But we should lower expectations because, basically, you know, we were lucky he scored. A little bit of that. He's definitely touched on. He doesn't have a game this year yet with 50. Total yards. So, that's problematic. But he's played a lot of games this year with a bad offensive line. And now it looks like the line is getting better. He, himself, looked pretty good. We just talked about that, Adam. And Jordan Love talked him up after the game about just how much they love the physicality that he brought and the vision that he brought. And maybe his game's improving just a little bit. And we're ticketed for a high-scoring shootout between the Packers and the Cowboys. So, getting pieces of that game, kind of appealing. And there are a lot of running backs that are out. I would not. I would not mind having Marshawn Lloyd on my fantasy team. Jamie was impressed with Marshawn Lloyd too. I mean, we were just, Dave and I were doing our like Monday film chat and Marshawn Lloyd, he surprisingly stood out. But what was I going to say? Oh, let's do a fun exercise real quick. If you're trying to choose between Jeremy Bernard and Kendrick Bourne. I think obviously one of the issues with Jeremy Bernard is that Roman Wilson, he's not on IR. Maybe they put him there, but I don't know. Maybe he misses a couple of weeks with his finger injury. So Bernard might have no role, but take a look at this or he could earn it. If you're looking at the, I'll give the people who are just listening the skinny here. But if you're looking at the Cardinals versus Steelers offense, I'll let you guys try to figure out who it is. I think you'll probably be able to. One is 18th in points per game. One is 19th in points per game. One is third in pass attempts and the other is seventh in pass attempts. They're both top six in pass rate. Now the team that's third in pass attempts per game, is 32nd in yards per play, but they run a ton of plays. They're second in plays. They're super fast pace. The other one is 15th in 17th in yards per play. And they're the slowest paced team in football and they're 15th in plays. So you've got two teams that are very pass heavy right now. One of them is, you know, medium efficiency. One of them is the least efficient team in football, but the least efficient team runs the second most plays and the medium efficient team runs the fewest plays or has the least efficient team in football. Has the slowest pace, runs the medium amount of plays, has the slowest pace in football. I hope that wasn't confusing. Which offense would you rather attach yourself to? The one with Aaron Rodgers right now. And that would be, I believe, Team B. Team B. Pittsburgh. Yeah, you know when Rodgers, Rodgers is a slow paced guy. So that's the difference, Steelers. I mean, the fear you have to have with all the Cardinals is that they're going to bench Jacoby Brissett this morning. I think he's, if I saw the stat correctly, he's 2-15. And since he's replaced Kyler Murray, like, it's just awful. And their schedule's terrible going forward. Although on paper. And it's not all on him. Believe me, it's not his fault that the record is what it is. But he's still the guy at the helm at the most important position. And they have a young quarterback that they might want to give some opportunities just to see what it looks like. The Rams up next, then the Broncos. Then the Cowboys, then the Seahawks, then the Rams, then the Chiefs. I've talked about that like a hundred times recently. But yeah, they're going to consider. They're going to consider elevating Carson Beck to number two on the depth chart and making him active on game day instead of just the emergency quarterback. All right, so Jeremy Bernard, Kendrick Bourne, and Aaron Rodgers. Jeremy Bernard, Kendrick Bourne, and Brenton Strange. You could go for Marshawn Lloyd. Dave said this is a week where you can go for what you need. Also, if Woody Marks is available, he's number one for you, right? Yes. Yeah, he would be number one. I mean, we don't know how long Montgomery's going to be out. And like you said, I think there's by his week seven, if I'm not mistaken. So you might only get a one-week scenario of this for Marks because Montgomery, could return their week eight. It's week eight, yeah. Jacksonville in London, and then the Giants after that, then a bye. So you might only get two weeks of it for Marks. That's the one. Like, he could struggle against Jacksonville. But what if he does well? And then what if he does well? And maybe Montgomery's back in week seven. I don't know. But if he does well against the Giants, they have a terrible run defense. He could keep this job, right? He might already have it. Yeah, he could Jalen Warren it. Not that he'd be as good, but he could Jalen Warren this, right? Well, I mean, look, they're. They clearly gave you a blueprint of what they're looking at right now. My guess is the trade with Marvin Harrison was, hey, if we lose to the Titans, we're done. We're packing it in. We're not giving up a second-round pick for whoever. And they beat the Titans. They feel like they've done this before going 0-3. Not 0-4, but going 0-3 and still making the playoffs. The division's very winnable. I know Jacksonville's got a lead and looks like a very strong team. They're going to have their hands full on both sides in this matchup in London, against each other in London. Yeah, Marks is. is more a part of their future than Montgomery is. So no matter which way this goes, still winning and he's doing well, he's the guy. They start to lose. Oops, sorry. They start to lose. They might continue to give him opportunities. So it's just a matter of. The Montgomery experiment has failed so far. Maybe it, you know, reignites in the second half of the season if he's healthy. But this is a great opportunity to go get Woody Marks. Absolutely. He's out there in about half of the leagues of Yahoo and ESPN. ESPN. So if you're looking for him on CBS or Sleeper, it's going to be tough to find him. But take a look or maybe even try and trade for him. Sleeper, no. Sleeper is 57% rostered. Oh, all right. So all three. You know what? It was Marshawn Lloyd who was like crazy rostered on Sleeper, I believe. Oh, okay. Yeah, I'm only on one Sleeper app, Sleeper League. So don't blame me for that. All right, we're going to take a break. Oh, how much Fab? Fab. Yeah, we'll talk about Fab when we come back. We'll be right back on Fabacy Football today. Building a winning fantasy football team takes so much more than just picking the biggest names. You need strategy, preparation, determination, and of course, a little bit of grit when things don't go according to plan. It's the same way in football. A quarterback has to throw and run. A running back has to run and read the routes. It takes so much more than one skill to succeed. Just like Nationwide. Nationwide is so much more than a great insurance company. They're one of America's largest financial services companies too. So whether you're thinking about your insurance or financial needs, remember, Nationwide is on your side. Available at participating locations for a limited time Prices may vary and are higher in Alaska, Hawaii, California, many areas in New York, Oregon, Washington, and third-party online sites. Taxes and fees may apply. Okay, Woody Marks not available in a single one of my leagues. I just checked. Great stuff. But if he were available, I'd put it on a decent amount of fab. Dave, how about you? How much fab on Marks? How much fab on Bernard, on Bourne? What are we looking at here? You'll go north of 20% on Woody Marks. And depending on how desperate you are for a running back, you can go in the 15 to 20%. 20% range for Marshawn Lloyd if he's there. These receivers, I'd be hesitant to go any higher than 10% on. Jeremy would be the one that I'd probably be like right at 10 or 11%. Kendrick Bourne, I'd be probably closer to like 7, 8%. You're a Jeremy-a-phobe when it comes to spending a lot. All right, no. Nope. Jamie, any disagreements there? No, I think that's the range. I mean, look, again, we're at the point in the season where you know what your record is, you know what the rest of your league looks like, and you should spend accordingly to try and keep yourself in it if you're struggling or balance your budget. If you don't need any of these players, don't overspend for them. The other point to it, too, is that we're going to talk about a bunch of other wide receivers that maybe don't have the exact same type of appeal as Bernard or Bourne, but they can help you in a pinch, and you're going to be able to get them for like 1% or 2% of your fab. What do you think the odds of Jeremy Bernard and Kendrick Bourne being a top 30 receiver rest of season are? Rest of season? I could see it for Bernard. Probably slim if everybody's healthy, but we don't know how long this finger injury is going to linger for Wilson, which is the more important one, but Pittman also could return at some point from the foot injury and be a factor. So there's also the other part of this, like what if something happens to DK Metcalf? And then Bernard is really in a great spot. So I think just looking at it right now, with everything that you know, what they spent their draft capital to go get him, with what the receiving core looks like right now, the game that he just had, the way Rodgers is playing, again, for what it's worth, what Tracy Wolfson said, there's just a lot to love about the spot that he's in. I think the struggle with anybody looking at spending a lot of fab on both these receivers is assuming Jacoby Brissett is the starter. So let's just go with that notion that he's going to be the predominant quarterback there for Arizona for the next, let's say, six plus weeks. And Bourne's long-term standing is probably better. That being said, Bernard may have more upside in those six weeks. So I would take Bernard first. This is Bernard's audition. This is his chance to go out and show, and he did it last week, that he can be a functional part of the offense. And I think he fits with what they want to do. I already talked about that. Aaron Rodgers is playing awesome football. His offensive line, I think, is playing halfway decent, too. And so there's real opportunity for Bernard to take this job and run with it. Bourne has the job. It's just, it's Kendrick Bourne in an offense with a bad offensive line. Volume will be there. And I think Carson Beck can be okay for Kendrick Bourne and just the role that he has and just easy, slant, in-route guy. I don't know if either one of them can really be top 30, but there's a pathway, and I think it's a little bit closer for Bernard than it is for Kendrick Bourne. I'm not going to say, oh, yeah, for sure, top 30. Just, there's a chance. Kendrick Bourne is 31 years old, by the way, and whereas Jeremy Bernard is a rookie. But this is a brand new, for Kendrick Bourne, 60%. plus slot rate he's never had really anything close to that so i've seen we've seen older guys be uh be good because they're just yeah well keenan allen larry fitzgerald moved him to the slot and he you know was playing well into his mid-30s basically julian edelman like these slot guys they age pretty well and now kendrick bourne is is that plus 31 is really not that old anymore okay anyway uh let's go to your news and notes michael pennix oh cbs sports network at noon eastern on tuesdays and thursdays we have a show waiver wire tuesdays rankings on thursdays and if we're not on cbs sports network we'll still be on cbs sports hq with that same show and you can catch it at youtube.com fantasy football today you can see all of our content at youtube.com fantasy football today news and notes michael pennix jr with injured ribs they're hoping he can play this the bears cam ward said for the season arizona like i said could make carson beck active caleb williams could play this week and lamar jackson is doing better we might have a big boost at the quarterback position at running back all right will shipley's got a foot injury he's going to miss some time we could get barkley and davante smith back this week they're facing the panthers that would be great we shall see um quinchon judkins was in a walking boot but he's apparently day-to-day raheem sanders left with a hip injury all day today we're all just and baltimore is the matchup for cleveland this week but jaleel mclaughlin is on the waiver wire in every league basically so he might be a starting running back just keep in mind dylan sampson the practice window is open now for him as well so it could be a mess in terms of what you're doing from a waiver perspective so don't just see okay everybody's hurt i know jaleel mclaughlin's name because he's been in the league for a while that's going to be the replacement it may be dylan sampson it may be raheem sanders if he's okay they may go out and get somebody else and just not trust mclaughlin so this is one where minimum fab yes move on at the end of the week don't be surprised hopefully you know for all of our sakes that have quinchon judkins rostered that he's the guy for them uh come sunday and with sampson if you've got ir spots you can pick him up and stash him there and if he ends up being activated then you'll have to make a roster move to get him on your bench or you just cut him and if not if he's not activated then you're going to have to make a roster move to get him on your you carry him for another week and see what happens and by the way um uh this crazy stat on jaleel mclaughlin he's averaged 4.9 yards per carry in his career and it's 228 carries it's not a small sample size so um maybe he would just if like he and dylan sampson were active i think mclaughlin probably i don't know could get more work um mike mccarthy acknowledged that jaylen warren is going to keep getting work even when rico dowdle is back shocker david montgomery groin aaron jones is fine and they have a buy travion henderson not ruled out for this week he might be able to play there against the jets wide receiver aj brown could practice this week doesn't mean he'd play but they could open his practice window this week debo samuel's gonna miss a few weeks with a hamstring injury we got this cd lamb injury from last thursday night it was a quad injury ryan flanoy is in the waiver wire column jake ferguson don't get rid of jake ferguson just yet he was amazing last year when cd lamb was hurt so we don't know if lamb's gonna play this week we got marvin harrison jr going to the texans if marvin harrison jr were available you think he's like 88 percent rostered in cbs leagues would you rather have him or woody marks marks marks and bernard okay yeah and i think bernard will help you sooner than marvin will this year or at least this week next couple weeks i imagine it's going to be tough for casey concepcion this week but we'll see you never know with concussions and roman wilson's got the injury a tight end i haven't seen anything on isaiah likely no neither have i which is a to me a good sign yeah it's a good sign he limped off late in the game we'll see you wednesday if he practices uh okay to drop kenyan sadiq yeah yes he's got a concussion or is he just in the protocol he's got a concussion and also he ran 18 of the routes in the first half while mason taylor ran 75 of the routes a lot of offensive line injuries he's got a concussion and also he's got a concussion and also he's got a concussion and also he's got a concussion spencer brown left didn't slow them down yesterday they've got the raiders and then a buy the eagles got another injury on their offensive line it's pretty crazy that before he went down their entire offensive line had not missed a snap that is wild uh giants right tackle jermaine illuminor may not play this week he's day-to-day on defense the big stuff oh first of all if you have hair if you have um harrison mevis the kicker for the rams he might get benched he's you know cut right he might get cut they don't usually bench kickers i think sean mcveigh wishes he left him in australia yeah so he's like 45 percent rostered in cbs league so you might want to you need to move on get a new kicker uh san francisco san francisco linebacker drake greenlaw suspended one game he headbutted a player wasn't wearing a helmet cleveland could be without linebacker carson swessinger swessinger for a bit swessinger swiss swiss swiss something um bears got a little banged up last week giants got a little banged up last week and then they got a little banged up got a little banged up and we'll stop there oh denver's playing on thursday they could be without safety talanoa hufanga against the seattle seahawks uh let's get to the top three each position but before we do that you know it's a really worthless feeling in fantasy football scoring the most points in the week in your guillotine league it's just like well i didn't need to do all that save it for another week who cares so um it is it is a worthless feeling i do in the guillotine league that i run uh you get a bonus for winning the week good for you yeah i'm trying to reward the people that actually are trying to put forth the best effort to score the most points well mine's the best ball guillotine league so i didn't really put any effort in but i did score the most points like oh okay great uh top three at each position jamie quarterback yeah again you can mix up the order and i'm struggling with it from a week to week versus uh for for week six versus long term uh so i have aaron rogers one jamis winston two kirk cousins three again the matchup might be the best for cousins based on buffalo and the injuries that they sustain uh plus the way that he's performed you know last week was his first bad game uh winston's coming off two strong games i think he's got a good matchup against new orleans at home as well rogers probably has the worst matchup but he's playing the best at least coming into this so it depends on what you think in terms of this week versus long term for long for the rest of the season though i'd rather have rogers i think he's in the best spot okay and rogers this week is facing tampa bay and they've actually been pretty good against quarterbacks it's weird sure but so has cleveland and he scored 28 points against them two weeks ago it's just kind of and he gets them in three weeks yeah i don't think he's matchup proof but he's performed well so far his last three games where he's got the three touchdowns cincinnati was one we know what that defense has been uh cleveland like you said he did well against them and in indianapolis which has been bad so two of those three matchups at least were very favorable all right rogers winston cousins winston getting the saints at home cousins uh as jamie said with the best you just you just wonder with cousins like they've already played mendoza in a blowout situation i get it i understand why they're not benching him given what their season looks like right now but another bad game and if buffalo goes up big we could see mendoza in there as well dave who are the top three running backs to get you can double check for woody marks but marshawn lloyd is available in 42 of cbs leagues about half of the other teams are available in the other teams are spn leagues i like the schedule moving forward and then after that it's uh it's gross and it kind of depends on what you need do you want a running back who has a chance to maybe start and get in the neighborhood of 12 touches then i guess damian pierce and jaleel mclaughlin would fit the bill but it sounds like there's a chance that the starters in front of them could be back this week and i don't want you to waste your fab if you need eight ppr points then it's chris rodriguez who's out there in about half of leagues tajay spears two-thirds of the league and leagues kendra miller who's out there in three-quarters worth of leagues and then kamani vidal also had a nice run last week but he's part of a three-headed monster on a team that's going nowhere so i don't know if i feel good about any of these guys other than lloyd but it just depends i guess on what you need there isn't a lot there at running back well i don't agree necessarily because there's hardly ever anything at running back right it's you know they don't they're not like wide receivers so to have the opportunity to pick up players that you could start the this week is is enticing especially when like marshawn lloyd's not an injury situation kendra miller is not really an injury situation you know yeah he is well he is but that was last week we were reacting to that last week well unless you're saying there is to hurt travis hn is not going to play for at least two more games yeah so it is an injury situation there's not a long-term appeal here for kendra okay yeah but but miller was on the waiver wire last week and if he's going to dominate well he's like he did this uh past game against the giants he's going to dominate the giants and he could be really good yeah no i totally agree i i think there's to me there's there's there's three guys that could be plug and play as flex options you know if you want to say lloyd is the best fine i think damian pierce you know dave said 12 touches he had 12 touches you know after shipley got injured i know it was the first quarter but you know he's looking at a much better situation this week against carolina and i would say if they don't add somebody especially barkley's out like he's going to be probably in the neighborhood of 18 to 20 touches just given how this team is operated then lloyd has the ability to play against him and he's going to be played very well and if they're chasing points based on how this team has looked they're going to throw and throw a lot and just you know you're hoping for touchdowns there for him uh for miller i agree with you adam it was 10 carries 30 r score touchdown he hasn't had a game with double digit ppr points yet does have two touchdown rushing touchdowns on the season not going to be involved in the passing game but the giants stink in terms of defending the run or at least are mediocre in terms of defending the run they stink so miller's got an opportunity here and then if you extend a little bit further like you know we don't know if mononga is going to come back roshan johnson just had five catches uh they've mentioned tajay spears he had nine catches you know i don't know if that's sustainable but it's you know maybe something that that they need to incorporate a little bit more so if you if you knock that down to four or five which is you know what he was basically averaging last season when he came back from injury that's within the realm of possibility um i don't know i mean there there are look we got again four teams on a buy a bunch of injuries again you know there there there are flex options here for you that you may have to just you know depend on not want to rely on but have to depend on you asked for a top three for me it's lloyd one i think it's pierced by default too but it's like a four percent fab bid and then i i'd probably pick kendre miller over tajay spears but that's the matchup thing and the fact that kendre miller had all their snaps inside the 10 last week for nolans yeah it's also camara may not be 100 right so like we don't know that that's true camara got okay they didn't have travis hn last year camara was the lead running back kendre miller was a was a backup basically earlier this season camara was playing ahead of of kendre miller week four camara played ahead of kendre miller week five was a surprise right no one thought everyone had camara ranked higher you think that was because of the injury because kendre miller again if he's like i'm sorry i don't remember how many carries or touches alvin camara had in this last game but it was he had three carries for 12 yards and two catches for negative six yards and just just to just to add another wrinkle to this and this may be where camara's at they signed audrey guesstime off the practice squad right they brought him back last year okay so yeah i guess i'm just saying like if i knew that the usage was going to be the same uh i guess i'd take kendre miller over damian pierce right now because there's a chance barkley could play this week but even still like i don't know what are your expectations for damian pierce and then i guess i guess i'll just ask like this let's say barkley's out and let's say kendre miller keeps the same role he's the starting running base the lead running back you know against the giants who do you like better pierce against carolina or miller against the giants pierce pierce would have more touches i just i he's not explosive we know that running backs don't get a lot of short yardage goal line carries in philadelphia the offensive line's bad i'm not excited about either one but if we're just going to go on the volume game i think pierce will have more touches than miller okay jamie who are the top three wide receivers uh two you know we've talked about them enough already with uh jeremy and kendrick bourne uh three for me would be keenan allen it's now two games that he's played without alec pierce and he has nine targets in each of them so there's a lot of different options you can go with the third receiver if you're looking short term versus long term i think just looking at keenan allen's opportunity here he's going to be sustainable so khalil shakir uh had a nice catch um we didn't see much from the bills receivers in that game kendrick bourne should have excuse me keon coleman should have had a much bigger game uh had three catches negated by penalties one way or the other um but uh shakir had a big catch and a much easier matchup for them this week ryan flanoy is definitely on the table if there's no cd lamb so that's one you just have to sort of figure out how it goes uh efton chisholm the third um is in a decent spot he's got back-to-back games i thought about this you know we we gave heath a little bit of a hard time on um cbs sports network that he can't use malik washington as his sleeper uh which has kind of been just this 10 11 ppr point guy i think he's going to be a good guy i think he's going to be a good guy i thought this might be his pivot play if there's no aj brown because it's kind of the same same type of guy um but i think he now just makes the most sense as the third option okay let me ask you this xavier worthy 67 percent rostered on sleeper xavier worthy is on yahoo he is 59 percent rostered if he were available where would he rank next to bernard and kendrick bourne third dave i think he'd be third the only debate i have in my head is whether or not i would take born overworthy i think i would take born overworthy especially if it's half or full ppr yeah i mean the thing is i'm acting like rashid rice is out for the year he's not i don't even know if he's going to miss this week's game i don't think he will so it does i would i would i know they added justin watson i'm guessing that's more for tyquan thornton than anything else i would guess at this point if they knew rice was going to miss this week we would have gotten a different receiver added i'm not saying that's tyree kill i just think that they would have been more aggressive in trying to find somebody because they want to come out of their bi-week even playing the chargers knowing that they don't have rice and thornton and trying to figure out something in the interim that remember rice was trying to get back in the game in week four before he or after he got hurt what am i doing here i don't need we don't need savior worthy i mean he's been so no he's look thornton's now out worthy's had a couple of good games rice has got an injury track record that you got to be aware of so he should be rostered absolutely all right by the way tyreek hill is 55 percent rostered if i don't need a receiver this week should i pick up bernard born or tyreek hill i think just given the civil suits that he's dealing with and not knowing all the details about how that will play out but the comments that he made made me a little sketchy on him signing with an nfl team yeah especially after what his um i think his ex-wife uh what she said in regards to the incident still his wife maybe still his wife yeah it doesn't matter it was it was ugly and it happened after the excitement of a comeback came out in the in the in the news cycle here who your top three tight ends to pick up my favorite tight end to pick up is brenton strange it's going to be more of a one-week thing rather than a you know short-term fix thing because he's got to buy after week six but i just like the role that we've seen in the targets eight of them each of the last two games i've got firemuth second we saw a little bit of an uptick for him at least in the red zone with pitman and roman wilson out already has more games this year with a 75% route rate than he had all of 2025 so i think it's going to be a little bit of a one-week thing i'm excited about that he's a short area guy did have some long routes just didn't necessarily come through on them and the schedule it's tampa and then it's new orleans i like that matchup cleveland after that if there's a shortage of targets in pittsburgh no roman wilson no michael pitman then yes jeremy bernard makes sense but firemuth will get some work too and then i've got darren waller still third just by a notch over hunter henry okay and jamie has tyler higby on this list as well yeah higby was awesome last night you just said it that stafford games of 50 plus pass attempts there's enough room for this guy to get his production it's pretty clear that he's the guy while ferguson is out colby parkinson played last night i mean higby looked fantastic once again three straight games with 11.7 ppr points or more so for me he's the second tight end to go get i think he's a he's a must-start guy this week i'm talking about great matchups he gets arizona yeah it's a great matchup for him he belongs in the top three he should at least be ahead of waller yeah i guess caution flag would be for both higby and firemuth is their target is the top three he should at least be ahead of waller target shares are very low and you can't usually win like in fantasy as a tight end with a 13 percent target share but it's true the stafford's guy you can't well it's weird i mean did anyone see this coming for the rams they're supposed to have the best defense in football blah blah blah they're 50 pass attempts three games in a row for the first time in his career that's bizarre so based on based on last night first off we're looking at target share davante adams isn't exactly great um if you're uh if you're if you're trying to figure out what's going to happen first the stafford's arm fall off first or just puka nikua's body just break like the amount of times that he throws the amount of times that that puka gets targeted is just ridiculous all right so recapping here our top three how much fun was that game last night it was a blast just amazing and sunday night was great too it's really good stuff uh jamie's top three quarterbacks were uh rogers winston and cousins sorry i said brissette i meant winston rogers winston cousins dave's top three running backs were lloyd pierce and miller i think yes um and top three wide receivers were bernard born and keen and allen for jamie top three tight ends brenton strange maybe tyler higby pat fryer muth your top three there now it's time for coverage you can count on sponsored by nationwide just like your fantasy roster is more than just your offensive starters nationwide is a great insurance company and one of america's largest financial services companies so don't forget about the defensive side of the ball and remember nationwide is on your side and jamie which dst are you loving this week yeah you can make a case if you want to talk about top three overall players to add this week that the chiefs dst should be in the top three here they come off a buy taking on the chargers totally revamped offensive line maybe not one of their top three receivers available for this week it's just been a mess as we know and this should be i can't wait to see how giddy heath is going to be is on sunday night just after this game and if the chiefs do what they're expected to do against the chargers so the chiefs dst number one by far they're my number one dst this week yeah is that a sunday night game are you saying it's on when we go just sunday in our recap okay good i hope they're not a sunday night but not one of the chargers in primetime cowboys packers yeah um okay they are currently slated for week 12 on sunday night football against the patriots yeah so we're only like yeah get that out of there and that was coverage you can count on sponsored by the chilean national team and the chilean national team and the chilean national team and the chilean insurance and financial needs nationwide is on your side. Nationwide and nationwide investment services corporation member FINRA Columbus, Ohio kickers, Jamie. Yeah. Harrison Bucker taking on the chargers, Chris Boswell taking on the bucks. And I know Zavada missed three field goals, but he still had five field goal attempts. And this is another good matchup for him taking on the saints. So those would be my three. Yeah. I don't know if the weather was a factor or not, but the rookie had a terrible game as a kicker. 250 yard miss kicks too. Yup. Um, anyway, uh, that is, uh, Bucker Boswell and Zavada. The DSTs were the chiefs, the Colts and the 49ers to go get. And we will go get ourselves a little break, come back with the shallow leaves and dig leagues and a little recap of Sunday night, Monday night, pardon me. And more after this. So we've discussed players, mostly, uh, players that are rostered in fewer than two thirds of CBS sports leagues. But what about the shallow league guys? What about the Jacoby presets of the, of the world? And we already talked about Xavier worthy, maybe Devon valet, maybe Marvin Harrison jr. I don't know, Jamie pie in the sky. All these guys are available. Who are the best ones to get? I mean, what he marks would obviously be number one, you know, for us, he's a, like you said, 72% roster. David Montgomery is expected to miss a few weeks with the groin injury. If you want to look at quarterback, start there. Jacoby presets, the only one that I listed in the column this week, he's 83% rostered, uh, don't love the upcoming schedule, but he's still gonna throw the ball a lot. And there is the potential of him getting benched at some point, but you just saw what he does when he gets everything in the right frame of, uh, matchup, opponent, et cetera, uh, 31.3 fantasy points and typically hovers in that 18 to 20% range. Uh, some other running backs. It's not bad at this position, uh, to go find some guys. He's not gonna play this week, but Zach Charbonnet should 100% be rostered. Uh, they have a short week, so it could be week seven for him. Uh, there's that group of backup running backs that play a lot, which is, uh, which is Blake Corum, Mike Washington, Brian Robinson, um, Kalen black, you know, all these guys I think should be rostered. As you saw a quorum touchdown prior to this week, Robinson had a three touchdown game. You know, again, we're entering bi-week territory here. These guys are all going to at some point maybe be relevant. And you heard, uh, Clint Kubiak. If, well, if, if you didn't hear, uh, Clint Kubiak said after the game that he needs to get Mike Washington, more touches after Ashton Gent. He's kind of fighting through this, you know, ankle situation that he's dealing with. We see a little bit more of Mike Washington and then, um, Jordan Mason is eligible to return after their bi-week and sounds like he's going to step back into a pretty prominent role, not as the starter, but at least as somebody that's going to share with, uh, with Aaron Jones at receiver, there's some, you know, fun names here as well. Uh, Wanda Robinson has just been 11 PPR points or more in three straight games, two touchdowns in those three games. He should be rostered in more leagues. Xavier worthy as we touched, touched on, uh, don't give up on Devon valet because of the bad game against Minnesota. He's been 11.4 PPR points in three or five games so far this season. And then Keon Coleman, like I said, he had three, uh, pass plays that were negated by penalties, scored a touchdown, much easier opponent coming up for them against the Raiders. If DJ Moore's out, he should be rostered and, you know, easier situation to manage this week because it's not going to be a, uh, a primetime game. You can figure out if DJ Moore is going to play or not. And at tight end, uh, you mentioned Jake Ferguson, don't give up on him. Um, there's also, just want to get the list. Uh, there's also Mark Andrews who showed up, who should have had a touchdown drop one. I know he's not playing well, but still has an opportunity to give you 10 or more PPR points. He's done that to his last four games. Um, and look, Kyle pits, best game of the season was last week, um, in the two game sample size with Michael Penix or three game sample size. Now with Michael Penix, two of those games, he's been more involved and more productive. So maybe he's building towards something that you can actually still rely on. So I wouldn't give up on him yet. Now, Dave, by the way, Jordan Mason, 78% rostered, Josh Jacobs, 88% rostered. So you could pick him up. Just take a look. He's not going to be in the projections or anything. And also Jamie mentioned all those handcuffed running backs. They get dropped in weeks like this. They get dropped during bi-weeks. So take a look and just wait, wait and see if you don't love anybody on waiver wire. It's not a bad idea to just keep your spot in line. Don't use your waiver wire priority. You might get a really good player that gets dropped this week or really valuable player. You can add to your roster, but none of these Dave, none of these guys are available in my leagues. I'm sorry. None of these guys are available in my legs. I am a deeply. What are you guys are stupid. They play guys start with James Winston. I don't know why I laugh at that every week. James Winston is available in over 80% of leagues. There is a part of me that likes him more than Aaron Rodgers. If you're looking for a one-week quarterback, a bi-week replacement for Joe Burrow as an example, Saints have allowed three quarterbacks to 20 plus fantasy points. Kyler Murray was one of those guys. That's saying something for Kyler and Winston really did come alive in the second half last week and he's got some stud pass catchers to throw too. So close call between him and Aaron Rodgers. If you want somebody that's got a little bit more long-term appeal, or if you can't stomach the Jameis roller coaster, of course, Rogers makes sense and Rogers is out there and about 60% of CBS Sports Leagues. The next best quarterback besides Winston that might be out there in your league is Gino Smith. He's got the Patriots. I can't feel good about that. Tyler Hunley Tyler Hunley. Okay, that's a fair one. That's not a bad one to go with and he's out there in a bazillion leagues too. We just don't know if he's going to. End up playing because of Lamar makes a recovery ends up playing then you've wasted your time with Tyler Hunley the running backs. It's Damian Pierce. It's Julio McLaughlin available in 95% of leagues Pierce over McLaughlin and you have to hope that Saquon Barkley misses another week and that Quinn shot Judkins and Raheem Sanders and Dylan Sampson all miss this week for the major role. Excuse me. Other than that, we're looking at Taijit Spears Kendra Miller Kamani Vidal. They're all available in at least 60%. Of CBS Sports Leagues. Don't forget the name Dylan Sampson might not see him in projections. Good IR stash at running back. Do you want to include Justice Hill here to like five PPR points? No, because I don't even want them in my league. It's like stash and we talked about him last week before he went on our was Chris Brooks of the Packers. Just in case he ends up having a big role when he comes back. You could go and you could put him on your bench. Same thing with James Connor wide receivers. It's the top two guys Jeremy. And Kendrick don't even need their last names anymore. You know who they are available in 94% or more 93% or more of CBS Sports Leagues. We did not talk about Ryan Flanoy and in the event that CD lamb misses this game Flanoy, who's available in 95% of CBS Sports Leagues would end up being at worst. The number three receiver as the number two Target getter in the Dallas offense. So I'd be intrigued by him the Patriots receivers Efton system. The third tomorrow Douglas they're available in the bazillion leagues. Kyle Williams should be included in there too. Just more of a boom bus receiver for Williams who doesn't see the same amount of playing time that Chisholm and tomorrow Douglas gets if I had to pick one of those three, it would be Chisholm and then a tight end. That's her pet pets or camp at Firemuth 23% Tyler Higby 23% is there anybody that's even lower than that? I don't know. Maybe Jamie's got somebody in mind, but I don't see anybody that's on the waiver wire. That's out Mason Taylor. I mean, that's like yeah, but I guess. He will run around a lot of routes. I don't know if he's going to get a lot of catches. I'd rather there's probably like three other receipt tight ends that I'd rather have than Mason Taylor that we haven't even talked about. Yeah, fair enough. Okay, and Jamie, where did you have the Colts DST ranked? Just as far as like do they're the number two DST to get if you're talking about waivers. Yeah, because they've got Tennessee, but they're just so bad. It's not a great. It's not a great week for DST is you know, they're there. We've had better ones. I have the Chiefs and the Niners ahead of him, but that's it that any interest in Isaiah Isaiah Bond. He almost he was open on a touchdown. Here's me. It's seven targets. Yeah. All right. I think just looking at it like there's there's the Mario Douglas. There's Isaiah Bond. There's Kyle Williams. You know, these guys that are coming off either strong performances or heavily targeted Josh Cameron's another guy that you could look at because the way he's been playing and potentially Brian Thomas Junior getting traded. So there's like a lot of these receivers that I think. If you're in deep deep deep leagues, like I could I could write 7,000 words about these guys. I just don't know like how many people in the majority leagues are going to get them. Yeah. Yeah, I know. I got you. Okay. Well last night was fun with Buffalo getting a 3734 win in overtime. Major takeaways here. You know, we've talked about selling high on Devante Adams. Should we try again, Jamie? I mean, look, it's this was the 2025 Devante Adams, right? Yeah, I mean, I think it's a good thing. I think it's a good thing. It was, you know, James has got to stop fumbling. I think another running back to consider also is Ty Johnson, you know, just with his role. This is now two of three games where he's got at least 50 receiving yards. So he's been, you know, involved in the passing game. I don't know if he had 50 receiving yards, but he had 50 receiving yards two games ago. But heavily involved in the passing game. And, you know, Shakira, great catch. Again, Keon Coleman, touchdown. So better opportunities for them. Dalton Kincaid's a problem at this point. You know, this is a, you know, you talked about how good the Jets are. And I know that the Rams haven't exactly faced the same level of competition. But you got to take into account that they did limit George Kittle. I know for what it's worth, that was his game. As they likely had 10 targets, it was from both quarterbacks, mostly Jameis Winston. Minimal production. This is now under 100 yards receiving for their opposing tight ends through five weeks of the season. That's amazing. So not that you're benching Trey McBride next week, but this is going to be a good test. How about a season-high 82? 2% route rate for Dalton Kincaid. And he got two targets and one catch. They didn't throw much, but still, it's bad. It's really bad. 20 pass attempts, I think, for Josh Allen. Can you drop Dalton Kincaid? I think we have three tight ends that we have to consider. If you drop them, they could get picked up. And it's happened already. Colston Loveland, Kyle Pitts, Dalton Kincaid. Two of those guys. They're extraordinary. Extremely high expectations coming into the season, and they've underperformed. And then Kincaid got off to such an amazing start that you thought, okay, this is finally the breakout that's coming. I still think there will be good opportunities for him, especially if DJ Moore continues to miss time with a shoulder injury. This is a matchup that they should have success against with the Raiders' defense. You just saw Hunter Henry have a good game, for example, and Eli Raritan, if you're just taking both of them. They both did well. So I'd probably hold Kincaid one more week, but this would be one if I could roster Brenton Strange with Kincaid or Fryermuth with Kincaid or Higby with Kincaid. I would probably consider doing that. Of course. And I don't even want to say that he's droppable. I want to believe in Dalton Kincaid. But first of all, I don't think the route rate's going to be this high, maybe even again this year. And we know when DJ Moore comes back, it's just another option for Allen to throw to instead of Kincaid. So I think if you're really in a major roster crunch, you have a ton of dudes on by in week six. Wait as late in the week as possible to do it. But yes, Kincaid is 10-team league droppable. And if you're really desperate in a 12-team league, I guess you could do it. But at some point, he's going to pop off again, and you're going to wish you had him. Well, you're going to wish you had him in your lineup when that happens. But if you've been having him in your lineup the last three weeks, you've enjoyed less than four PPR points from him. A point on the Rams and a reason why you might not want to sell eye on Devontae Adams unless someone's going to pay you a ton. Cardinals, Raiders, Chargers, Commanders, Cardinals. I know. Here's the thing. Holy crap. I know, but. But. So someone's saying, would you trade Adams for Chuba Hubbard? That's the comment I have up here, right? Yeah, if you need a running back, that's the type of square deal. We've been told that we need to talk about more square deals, one-for-ones that help both fantasy managers. And I think it's a good idea. That's an example of one that probably helps the guy getting Chuba more than the guy getting Adams. But that's a trade you can make. I mean, I'm all over the place with Adams because he still could score a lot of touchdowns. He's still great. He's still a great player. He destroyed Patrick Sertan. And Puka is playing with some type of pre-hernia, whatever the hell a pre-hernia is. And if Puka misses time, Devontae Adams could be number, like, wide receiver three. So there's that. But then you mentioned the schedule as a good schedule. Arizona, Raiders, Chargers, Commanders, Arizona. I don't know if it's a good schedule because I don't know if those teams are going to be able to score. And if we don't get 50 pass attempts, if we get 35 pass attempts and the same time, the same type of target share for Devontae Adams when Puka Nakua is on the field, we could be looking at five targets. Last year, he had a 24% target share. And Puka played the whole year. This year, it's not even close to that when Puka's played. So it could go up. I mean, I don't expect Puka Nakua to have 24 targets. He had a career-high targets yesterday. But I need these. I know they're bad defenses that they're playing. I need them to play good offenses. I need more pass volume here. If they just blow these teams out and run all over them and we get 30 to 35, pass attempts from Stafford, what does that mean? We need a higher target share from Adams, which we could get, of course. He's Devontae Adams. He did it last year. But if we don't get it, then it's a problem. So, I mean, he's maybe one of my most rostered players and I definitely think I need to try to see what I can get. I would take Chuba Hubbard for him. But I just want to make that point. But it could go in so many directions. It's all in perspective, right? You're not giving Devontae Adams away. Nobody's suggesting it. No. All right, let's do the drop-o-meter. Zero to 10 here. Drop-o-meter on Colston Loveland. Seven. Five. Oh, man. I definitely want to see one game, one more game with Caleb before I drop him. But I get it. Would you drop him for Brenton Strange and Hunter Henry and Friar Muth? If you're in a roster crunch, again, there's so many leagues where managers are carrying injured players that don't have IR spots. Whether they're not on IR or they just don't have IR spots. I know, but those guys aren't necessarily going to be better than Loveland. It's not like he's injured. No, no. What I'm saying is like you may be getting carrying Rashi Rice or if CeeDee Lamb misses and you don't have the ability to you're not cutting those guys. So can you cut another player to pick up two tight ends? Like that's the dilemma that managers have. So if you have to go one for one in terms of tight end for tight end and you've just been getting bad performance after bad performance one good game so far for Colston Loveland then you got to make a decision. And Brenton Strange for Colston Loveland right now will help your team. All right. Three tight ends. You can only carry two. Colston Loveland Dalton Kincaid Brenton Strange Dropping Strange Dropping Strange because he has a bye next week. All right. Who are you starting then between Loveland and Kincaid? I would too. I have so much faith in Loveland. I've seen the Kincaid movie before. It's making me nervous. I don't have that much faith in him. All right. Kalief Raymond drop-o-meter. Ten. I feel the same way you do about Loveland. I want to see one more game that's going to be with Caleb. That being said, I'd rather have Bernard. I'd rather have Bourne. So probably closer to ten. Give me a nine on Kalief Raymond. But would you be shocked if Kalief Raymond bounced back next week of Caleb's playing? Kind of. But I spent so much time that I'm going to keep him for another week and see. I'm going to try anyway. Atlanta the matchup for Kalief Raymond. Drop-o-meter for Carnell Tate. Oh, zero. Four. RJ Harvey. Five. Omarion Hampton. Two. Yeah. Two or three. Romeo Dobbs. Three. One. Kenyon Sadiq. Nine. Yeah. Nine or ten. Let's recap the show with a look at the waiver wire. Maybe talk about some more players here. Jacoby Brissett is 83% rostered. Would you rather have Jacoby Brissett or Aaron Rodgers? Rodgers for this week. And Rodgers rest of season. And then Dave's been talking about Jameis Winston versus Rodgers. And Jamie talking about it too. Jameis versus Rodgers is a tough call. And Cousins. And Cousins. Yeah. Cousins with the Bills matchup. That's just phenomenal. Three quarterbacks have thrown at least three touchdown passes against Buffalo. And Cousins before this horrible game. I guess it wasn't that bad. 15.7 fantasy points and got pulled. Before this game, he had scored 26 or more fantasy points in three straight games against the Chargers. 19.8 in every game before this. What's that? Yep. 19.8. Yep. Absolutely. So definitely could bounce back. Kyler Murray is also on this list and he's going into his bye. And I talked about how he hasn't had Jefferson, Addison and Hawkinson in any game. He also had a good game. He ran a ton, but he did that without his left tackle and without it. He actually did that without two starting offensive linemen. So yeah, it was impressive. He had an impressive game. And not only that, the touchdown throw to Justin Jefferson was really, really good. But Dave, you talk about the schedule for Matthew Stafford. Oh, yeah. It's great for Kyler Murray. Incredible. After the bye, Colts, Lions, Bills. Packers after. Yeah. Packers is good too, right? Yeah. It's a good schedule. You just need to stash him. So we're going to talk about him on the Beat the Waiver Wire show later this week. Might even be the the cover boy for it. Nice. Okay. Tyler Huntley in deep leagues. I don't know if that was the best game he's ever had. It may have been. Might have been. Tua Tungabayi. Probably was. Tua could start, but hopefully we get panics. Any interest in Tua Tungabayi? Any interest in Deshaun Watson against Baltimore? No. No. Okay. How about Baker Mayfield? I don't even know what Baker's roster percentage is. No. I'll look it up. 44%. No. Okay. Not yet. The answer is not yet if you're going to get him at all. At running back, Zach Charbonnet is someone who I don't think he's going to play this week because they're playing He's not. They already ruled him out. Oh, they ruled him out. Okay. I'm sorry. But then he's got to play next week, right? Otherwise, he stays on. The pub list, right? No. I think he's out for the year because if you start his practice. He stays on the pub list. Yeah. But not to come back. If you start a guy's practice, unless I'm wrong, right? You start a guy's practice window, he's got three weeks to come back. If he doesn't come back, he's out for the year, I think. I think you're right. All right. So Charbonnet, 84% rostered. Woody Marks is the prize this week, but then we've got Damian Pierce and Marshawn Lloyd and Kendri Miller who all have a case to be made as the top guy to get if you can't get Woody Marks Woody Marks. Just to recap, how would you rank that? Pierce, Lloyd, Miller. That's your rank? ranking Jamie as of now yes I'll take Lloyd first then Pierce then Miller okay because if Barkley's out I would rank Pierce ahead of Lloyd okay um and then Jaleel McLaughlin's another guy who could get some who could have a start this week Tajay Spears did have nine catches he had five in his first four games and Roshan Johnson I just wanted to point out about Roshan he had five catches against the Packers they all came in garbage time so um can I mention one more thing about Pierce yeah I would imagine if Saquon were out this week Pierce would not be the only running back that the Eagles would give the ball to and then watch them get like two yards like Carson Steele is on their roster Jaden Blue for whatever it's worth I don't know if they're comfortable putting him on the field but he's someone that can give him a little bit of explosiveness we saw last week that Pierce got every single touch it was because they had nobody else and now they're gonna they'll be able to restock for a week so Pierce is the best of those running backs in Philadelphia but it's really it could be really bad he won't get every touch um and then I just wanted to point out that Cam Scadaboo has four fumbles in five games so I don't know what happens if they have to bench him if it's Najee if it's Tracy but if you're desperate you could take a look at that situation and Samajai Pirine was a thing what's that remember when Devin Singletary was a thing yeah yeah Samajai Pirine is 11% rostered he might get more work coming out of their buy and wide receiver Devon Valey is of those four shallow league guys Valey Worthy Wandale and Coleman Jamie is Valey the best to get Valey is the best uh I think short term and long term you know Coleman might be the best short term just given the matchup um Wandale is probably the safest just given what he's given given what he's done but I mean look Valey has been three of five games you know at least the number three receiver yeah you guys were right on the Charbonnet it's a 21 day window once they designate him to return and if he doesn't return after that then he's on the pup list for the remainder of the year he can't play so he's got until October 22nd to uh to come back either 22nd 23rd depending on when he actually was designated so that would be before next week's game so right the so he can miss this week's game and still be activated for week seven it makes sense what I would expect not rushing back for a Thursday game and then have him ready to go um all right so then we've got Jeremy Bernarding Kendrick Bourne we've got Keenan Allen facing Tennessee that seems like a pretty good matchup you got the Bills guys with Shakir and Coleman you got Flannoy maybe and the thing is last year CeeDee Lamb did miss four games I mean technically only missed three but he barely played in one in the other one and Flannoy didn't do much Flannoy had one good game it was Jake Ferguson that doesn't mean it wouldn't happen this year it was Jake Ferguson who was great last year so keep it in mind we talked about Efton Chisholm if you were going to gamble on an Eagles receiver this week if Devante Smith doesn't play against the Panthers which Eagles receiver would you pick? would you gamble on? Wicks in PPR Cooper and non and half I would take Wicks all the way but Cooper second yeah Wicks had eight targets he had a good game five catches for 63 yards on eight targets Cooper okay Cooper had three targets Lemon had seven he's done well in three of five games so far Wicks has so Malik Washington is 10 10 to 11 PPR 11 to 12 PPR fantasy points although we haven't seen a game with Caleb Douglas and Chris Belling and Malik Washington and Jordan Tyson could come end. So with Mark Andrews, Jake Ferguson, and Kyle Pitts, how many of them are you dropping for Higby or Strange or Fryermuth or Henry or whatever? I mean, Ferguson is difficult because if Lamb is out, I would like to roster him and potentially start him, but it sounds like Lamb's going to play. The other two, I think, are in the conversation. Pitts is very similar to Loveland and Kincaid. I'd like to see what happens if Penix is healthy for another game because starting to see, you know, the benefit of a better quarterback and the system. But, you know, if you need a starter for this week, you know, you're one and four, two and three, you need to win. I'd rather have Strange. All right. Anything else you want to talk about? Chiefs, Colts, 49ers are the DSTs to stream, and we love the Chiefs DST, although didn't they kind of suck against the Dolphins? They did. Didn't we fall into this trap before? Yeah. Okay. And then the kickers were Butker, Boswell, and Zavada. They did not suck against the Dolphins. They were fine against the Dolphins. They've had 10 or fewer fantasy points in each of their past three games against the Colts, Dolphins, and Raiders. And they were terrible against the Colts and Raiders. They haven't had a sack since week one. Are we sure this is a good defense? I know they're an aggressive. I know that they're playing. That's all I care about. Right. I mean, that's a huge part of it, too. All right, folks. Thanks so much for watching and listening. Tune Eastern on CBS Sports Network. Summary:

FAQs

The top three are Woody Marks, Jeremy Bernard, and Kendrick Bourne. Marks offers the best matchup against a weak defense, Bernard and Bourne have strong roles with Aaron Rodgers and the Cardinals, respectively.

Woody Marks is heavily available in fewer leagues than others, has a weak matchup against Jacksonville, and is a high-upside running back with a strong chance to play and score despite being under-picked.

Jeremy Bernard is slightly favored due to his increased role after Roman Wilson's injury and Aaron Rodgers' strong performance, though both have strong opportunities and are under-rotated in most leagues.

Josh Jacobs' return is uncertain, and with no confirmed schedule, it's advised to avoid dropping him outright. If you're desperate for a running back, consider alternatives like Woody Marks or Marshawn Lloyd.

Yes, with a strong offensive line and a high-scoring matchup against the Cowboys, Lloyd has a chance to perform well. However, his 2024 production has been inconsistent, and he's currently under-rostered.

Yes, Strange is a solid short-yardage target with high usage in recent games, especially against Houston. He's available in half of CBS leagues and is a reliable one-week option.
