This fantasy football analysis focuses on key start-sit decisions for running backs, wide receivers, and quarterbacks in Week 6, highlighting injury impacts and matchup vulnerabilities. Several top performers—including DeAndre Swift, CDLAM, and Brent Strange—are prioritized, while others like Chase Brown, RJ Harvey, and Jeremiah Love face significant uncertainty due to injuries or inconsistent performance. The Denver-Seattle game requires caution with both Dobbins and Harvey, with Harvey being a risky full-PPR pick. Wide receiver rankings show CDLAM and George Pickens as strong candidates, though Rachi Rice remains questionable due to injury. Quarterback rankings emphasize Caleb Williams and Jamis Winston as top performers, with Trevor Lawrence and Tyler Shock considered risky due to tough matchups and defensive schemes. Tight ends like Strange and Fry remove are strong starts, with Dallas Goddard and Hunter Henry offering reliable flex options. Overall, the analysis stresses the importance of monitoring injury updates, matchup dynamics, and recent performance trends, especially when managing limited roster spots. Key trade considerations involve trading established players for high-upside, injury-affected options like Gibbs or Olave, with flexibility in PPR and depth needs shaping final decisions.
[MUSIC] Big show for you here on fantasy football today. Got a fun game for you Thursday night between the Broncos and the Seahawks and a lot of players that are dealing with injuries. Four teams on a buy, a lot to cover, lots to get to with our rankings. I'm Jamie Eisenberg, that's Dave Richard, that's Heath Cummings. We're going to start where we always do our running back rankings. But first, we want to let you know, these are the players that you're not going to be able to start this week because these are the running backs. Who are on a buy for week number six. You got some big name guys, no Jamir Gibbs, no Chase Brown. Obviously, not playing to the level that he's been expected to play at Aaron Jones. We'll see what happens coming back in week seven when Jordan Mason's healthy with the thumb injury. And Ali Gordon's been a nice surprise for fantasy managers, Dave. What would you be looking to trade four to acquire Chase Brown at this point? What level of player? I mean, it would still have to be a pretty good player. The people that drafted Chase Brown are still expecting or at least hoping for good things from him. Probably somebody that's the equivalent to what would be a third or a fourth round pick. If you look on the trade chart, Mike Evans is pretty close and full PPR, so somebody like that. You selling high on Aaron Jones? If you can, yes. Because I think that when Jordan Mason's back, this will be a committee again. Jones has earned the right to be the lead back in that committee. But I wouldn't be surprised once Jordan Mason's worked all the way back. If Aaron Jones needs to take a week off at some point, he's been really used a lot. And he's not in great health right now. Looks like the old Aaron Jones, but certainly playing at a very high level going into their biweek. Again, make sure those players not in your starting lineups. These are the players that you should have in your starting lineups. We take a look at our running back rankings one through 12. And again, some shuffling because not having junior gives their so be shown Robinson at the top spot. Kenneth Walker back off of his buy. Same with Chuba Hubbard. You see them in the top 12 here. But DeAndre Swift, we have this sort of still conversation going on with the Bears backfield. Now Swift, dealing with a couple of injuries, knee and hip, practice and full on Wednesday. Now Mananga is still dealing with the toe injury. Heath, when you look at the Bears backfield, let's assume that there is no Mananga and then give me the scenario of Mananga plays. But how are we approaching DeAndre Swift in regards to being the featured actor versus maybe sharing once again? Well, and he was kind of sharing last week. It was still in every other drive situation. It's just they were getting blown out and so they didn't have any rush attempts to account for. But I think we're going to start DeAndre Swift no matter who the second back is in this situation. He'll be an RB1, if there's no Mananga, he'll be a high end RB2, if Mananga is back. If Mananga is back, he's a high end flex. And I think if Mananga is out, Rocha and Johnson, someone you could look at as a desperation flex this week. Did have five catches last week. So that's something that maybe he can work on, but all those catches did come in the blowout situation. So just something to keep in mind there. Let's take a look at the running back rankings 13 through 24. Again, this is where some of the questions come into play. And a lot of fantasy managers questioning about what to do with Ashton Genti. So Dave, we got the ESPN report on Wednesday suggesting that the Raiders have had internal conversations about sitting Genti because of the ankle and foot injuries that he's been playing through. Clint Kubeyak comes out and speaks to him and says he's playing practices in full. How confident are you in Ashton Genti right now? I am confident that he will play. I am not confident that he will have great rushing efficiency. And that's saying something because this Bill's run defense has not been particularly good. We got a good look at them on Monday night rather against the Rams. And it wasn't that great. But against running backs on the ground or through the air. And all of Genti's best production for fantasy has come through the air. You're hoping for check downs. You're hoping for wheel routes to help him and angle routes to help him put up numbers. I think he's an OK number two fantasy running back. Not a top 12 guy. Yeah, the bills are number two and most fantasy points allowed to the position. So hopefully it's a bounce back spot. If I'm asking Genti, I want to play in this match up as well just to see if he can work. Get some of the numbers. We haven't touched down yet for him on the season only to receiving touchdowns so far this year. All right, let's take a look at the running back rankings 25 through 36. And again, we have a game tonight between Denver and Seattle. And here's where you see the Broncos running back. Start to come into play, JK Dobbins and RJ Harvey. Heath, how are you approaching Denver's backfill? Because last week Sean Payton takes over play calling duties and it was Dobbins having his best game of the season and RJ Harvey having arguably his worst. I do not want to start these guys against Seattle. If I have to start one of them to be Dobbins just hoping for a touchdown. We did see RJ Harvey play 35% of the snaps, which was a little bit down. He still ran a similar number of routes. He wasn't targeted at all. They were trying to actually throw the ball a little bit more downfield. It's hard to trust with Harvey. I have one PPR league where I have to start him and you're hoping that he catches four or five passes, not as optimistic about him as I was going into last week. I'll take Harvey. It's really close between the two of them and I don't really feel like starting either one of them. I do think the way the game unfolded last week opened the door for JK Dobbins to get more working for Sean Payton to lean into his veteran and take some of the work off of RJ Harvey's play. If they're trailing against Seattle, which is a very likely possibility, you're going to see more Harvey. You're going to see less Dobbins. That's the only reason why I'd say to start Harvey and it's got to be full PPR. All right. So a lot of different injury situations that we're keeping an eye on here. We have the Cleveland situation and we're waiting to find out what Quinchon-Jutkin status is going to be Dylan Samson, also eligible to return. We also have the situation in Philadelphia with No Sec Juan Barclay practicing on Wednesday. We'll talk about Damien Pearson in a second. Let's get to some one last list of rankings here. You're going to hear us say when we start to talk about the starts and sits. Really, the running back start list ends about running back 17-18 and gets pretty ugly after that. So when you get to this point in the rank list, it's really a lot of desperation plays. Ty Johnson, for example, two of the last three weeks, he's been over 50 yards receiving with four catches, so maybe he can help you in PPR. You're hoping for a touchdown for Chris Rodriguez. We'll see how some of this all unfolds, but this is really a lot of desperation options if you're at this point in the ranking. So let's get to the starts and sits. If you've got a guy on this list that is in a not easy matchup, but getting a lot of work in Braylon Allen. Yeah, that's kind of the tells you where we're at running back. I don't generally want to start running back so I don't expect to catch a lot of passes against the Patriots, but Braylon Allen is kind of the, he's not quite the only back for the Jets. The size A. Davis touched the ball, but in that game, it was starting 24 rush attempts for Braylon Allen. He didn't do much in the passing game, but he did have four targets. So this is a true workhorse running back, and it really doesn't matter the matchup or the quality of the offense. If you're a true workhorse, you are starting this week, start Braylon Allen. Yeah, hopefully it's another strong game for him, and to be fair, tough matchup, at least in the one sense that the Browns had not allowed a touchdown to running back at all. He was the first one to find the end zone against Cleveland in week five. All right, we got a Marshawn Lloyd debate, which I always like when we have different opinions on this. So Dave, you are starting Marshawn Lloyd. Keith, you are sitting Marshawn Lloyd. Let's discuss one of the most talked about running backs all season. Yeah, I mean, this is going to be a bar and burner, Jamie. Look, I don't want to start Marshawn Lloyd for style points. He's not great when it comes to efficiency, but this is the packer's most utilized running back, both overall and when they're near the goal line. He's capable of catching passes. And I think this is going to be a high scoring game. So I'm going to want players in this game that have a chance to get some touchdowns. You know, he's done that. Every touchdown, the cowboys have allowed to run back on the ground has come from six yards or closer. So certainly, they're susceptible there. And this is one of the defenses that is bottom seven in so many rushing metrics, 4.6 yards per carry, 27 mistakels this year. Even somebody like Marshawn Lloyd can get a couple of mistakels on his way into the end zone. I don't love him. He's a low end number two running back for me, but he's somebody that I would count on for 12 touches and you hope he finds the end zone. Yeah, 12 touches, I think, is probably exactly right. He had 11 last week. He had 12 the week before that. The problem is when you're averaging 2.8 yards per carry, 12 touches doesn't go very well in terms of fantasy points. He was good last week because he scored two touchdowns. If he would have scored one touchdowns, it would have been about 10 fantasy points. That's how bad this season has been for the Packers running back. It's not a committee situation. It's a three back situation. Pierre Strong took a lot of the passing down work last week. I don't know why. Caleb Johnson was phased out earlier in the game, but then was the guy who was kind of putting the game away or working in Garbage time. It was garbage time. It was 31 to 7. He's been alive for sure. And then Marshall and Lloyd has been so far this season. I just don't have any, you might have to start Marshall and Lloyd. I don't want to make it. All right. What else are we seeing? He's still a top 30 back. He's still a flex for me. But I really think if he'd only scored one touchdown last week, we wouldn't be very excited. Well, I think we're all on agreement. If he doesn't score, you're probably getting a miserable stat, you know, so probably we've seen we've seen. But we can say that about 20 different running pass. Oh, well, not not this miserable. I five yards. Yeah, he hasn't. I mean, you said it multiple times. He hasn't top 50 yards. Yeah. He totally yards yet. The season. He's had a game where with multiple catches and it's just been ugly. So hopefully it does score. And there's an opportunity here to match up. Obviously. So offensive line's getting better for the past. It is getting better. And make it healthier. So that's a plus in his favor as well. All right. So there's a start. Sit. Disagreement there on on Marshall and Lloyd. Daniel Wilson's night. Love the fact that he's getting 20 total touches each of the last two weeks. I think that will continue. And the Broncos. Every game so far this season running back is scored at least 12 PPR points or more. So a manual Wilson should be in your line up. Hopefully takes advantage of this Broncos defense, which is banged up mostly on the secondary, but still opportunities here for Wilson to get a heavy workload once again. One more week maybe. So this could be your sell high window for manual Wilson's act sharp, and it could return in week seven. All right. We got the sit for Heath. It's Marshall and Lloyd Dave. You're sitting J.K. Dovins tonight's game. We kind of touched on that a little bit here. Are we better than Lloyd? For me, I'm going to sit. Jeremiah Love. The Cardinals may sit. Jeremiah Love. We don't know exactly what's happening there because of his nagging ankle injury. The past protection issues right now going on that they don't want to trust him in those situations. So if you want to go, just be at take advantage of it right now. Go pick up Tyler Algeria's available in about 20% of leagues though on CBS Sports. I don't know if you want to start him against the Rams. Last week, first time the Rams allowed a touchdown to running back. It was James Cook. He's obviously a much better player at this point than both love and Tyler Algeria. It's just tough to trust him. Again, you'll see him ranked 24th for all of us. That's the consensus ranking. It's not with a lot of confidence right now. Based on where Jeremiah Love is. All right. So you can't believe he's being started in like 75% of CBS. Look at the again, we just had a
I'm more fun with the beat. - Injury? - Yeah, I know. - But I'd rather serve him than love. - Yeah, I'd rather start love. - I'd rather start, but I get talent-wise, you much rather have. - Oh, of course, sound. - I think he saw the blueprint. If I complain and seemed like I'm happy, I get traded 'cause that's what happened with Marvin Harrison. All right, some sleeper running back for you. So he's talking on the injury situation in Cleveland. You like Julio McLaughlin as a flex? - As a flex and maybe even a high in flex. I'm not super excited about what he's going to do as a rusher in this game. If Quinshaw and Judd guns this out, they brought in Audric Estimate. They'll probably chop up the rushing duties, but it's kind of been a little bit underreported. DeShaw and Watson's thrown to his running backs a lot this year, like a 23% target share. I do think McLaughlin would be the guy to do that work for the most part. So a good PPR flex, a mediocre half PPR flex. - I mean, look, you're going to hear me say it about Damien Pierce. Guys that get opportunities to get a lot of work and it might be Julio McLaughlin getting a lot of work in Cleveland, you want at least to have that opportunity to use him as a flex if you need them for this week. Dave Rochon Johnson again, five catches last week. - That's the main thing and the fact he said it already, just the fact that they were rotating drives in Chicago and they didn't do much in the second half because they were getting buried on the scoreboard. Not sure that's going to be the case this week. Caleb Williams is also back. So running back who's going to be part time has a chance to pick up a couple of receptions. It's a desperation play at running back. But if DeAndre Swift ends up missing practice at some point this week, Rochon Johnson might have a clear path to being the lead back. So don't mind stashing him for now. - 100% great call and we'll see what happens with the Eagles back field with Seikman Barkley mispractice on Wednesday, did not play in week five in London in the game there against Jacksonville and DeAndre Pierce came on for an injured well-shipply, had 11 carries, had a couple catches, did nothing really with it, 14 yards on the ground and minus two yards through the air. But this is a much easier matchup against Carolina. They are number five and most fantasy points allowed to pose in running backs. And four guys so far this season, 11 PPR points or more. So that could be the floor for DeAndre Pierce, not a very talented runner. We could see Carson Steele getting work as well. So something to keep an eye on there. But DeAndre Pierce does have potentially top 20 upside if in fact he does start for Seikman Barkley. All right, that's gonna do it for our running back conversation. We're gonna take a break right now but come back get into some wide receiver talk. You wanna talk about the players who are missing this week? Get ready 'cause it's not pretty. You're gonna have to do some creative things with your line up here. We'll talk about that next on fantasy football today. (upbeat music) Welcome back to fantasy football today. We're talking about wide receiver rankings here for week number six. And let's show you the players who are not gonna play in week six because they are on a buy. And this is just who's who of some of the best wide receivers in the NFL and some of the best fantasy wide receivers for this year. So you have the top two guys for Detroit, the top two guys for Cincinnati, Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and he's favorite player of all time, Malik Washington. So I'm curious to see who your sleeper's gonna be because for the last three weeks or two weeks, at least for sure, maybe three weeks, you go on with Malik Washington. I'm gonna find somebody who'll score you 11.5 fantasy points. I love it. I can't wait to hear. I can't wait to hear who it is. All right, let's show you the rankings here and again, some changes because you don't have a lot of those elite receivers. So here's the list one through 12. And we did get some good news. We are getting some good news from an injury front, specifically the guy at number three, CDLAM. Left week five with a quad injury, practice and full on Wednesday, so we're good to go. But what we saw in that game last week in the loss against Tampa Bay was George Pickens was an absolute monster, which version of LAM and Pickens are we getting in this week's game, Dave against Green Bay. - I would surprise me if you got the best of both of them because this should be a track meet going back in fourth down the field, and you have the Packer. Secondary has some really good talent. It's really more at safety than it's a corner. I would expect CDLAM to probably be right back in that double-digit target range. And for George Pickens to maybe get three targets down field that he can cash in on, what I'm really curious to see is what happens in the red zone because if CDLAM is his old self, he's gonna be the one getting targets there and not George Pickens. I might have Pickens a little bit too high in my rankings. - Listen, they're both great players, and we saw this kind of happen last year. CDLAM got hurt with the ankle injury, essentially four games, three official games. And Pickens was still very good. He just took off in those three games when LAM was out. All right, let's say the rankings 13 through 24, and there's a guy that is currently ranked for us, consensus wise, but may have to come out of the rankings, and that's Rachi Rice. So he's dealing with this hamstring injury that knocked him out of week four. They had their buy in week five, and Rice still not practicing, not a very encouraging sign. So Heath, what's the expectation for Rice if he plays? And obviously the bigger question, if Rice is out, 'cause there's no type one Thornton, who had a huge game against the Raiders, do you like Xavier Worthy, against some Cyrus Allen buzz, like what's the plan here for the Chiefs and Fantasy Menders? - With that list of wide receivers you showed on a buy, if Rachi Rice is playing for the Chiefs, Rachi Rice is in your fantasy lineup, probably as a wide receiver too, not a wide receiver one, but you should start him. If he's out, then I get more excited about Xavier Worthy as a number three wide receiver. Probably, it's really tough to tell that his targets have been much closer to the line of scrimmage, so far this season than they have been in the past, with Thornton gone, they may need to put him in that field stretcher role. There's been quite a bit of talk in Kansas City about Cyrus Allen feeling like he's going to get more opportunities starting this week. And so he may be a deep stash, we'll see some more Jalen Royals, hopefully Travis Kelsey sees his target share rebound as well. - And just keeping my with Cyrus Allen, Thornton is gone. They bring up Justin Watson. We've been talking about Tyree Kill as a potential replacement. That does not seem eminent at all at this point. So Cyrus Allen may have some long-term appeal. It could be a guy that you want to stash. Maybe some of you'll talk about him, be the waiver wire when you discuss that with Adam. - Sure. - For something on our fantasy football take special, you can find that on YouTube. All right, so let's show you the rankings 25 through 36. And again, there are still some bad news scenarios that we're dealing with here. One in particular is in Buffalo, DJ Mordor, not practice on Wednesday. They have their buy in week seven, so would not be surprising if more miss is one more game dealing with that shoulder injury. You see, Keon Coleman here at 35. Khalil Shakir also a potential option for you. Shakir had the better game in week five against the Rams. Coleman, however, I scored a touchdown and had a couple of passes that were catches that were taken away due to penalties. So Dave, how do we feel about Coleman and Shakir in a much better matchup against the Raiders? - I think they're worth talking about in that flex range. And this week I like Coleman more because I don't think the coverage on him is gonna be nearly as tough as what we saw against the Rams. And look at what the Raiders allowed last week to the Patriots receiving core. A couple of downfield touchdowns to Kyle Williams, a couple of shorter throws to Efton Chisholm, to Mario Douglas, Romeo Dobbs was in the mix a little. So we know that this secondary is a little bit weak, but the thing that really stood out to me was how bad their pass rush was against the Patriots. And the Patriots had their rookie left tackle playing for the majority of that game. Josh Allen should be able to do whatever he wants and maybe just maybe they tilt their pass run ratio a little bit in this game to take some pressure off of James Cook who's had a fumbling issue. That would open the door for Coleman, then Shakir. And don't forget about Dolan Concad, I know we're talking receivers, but a tight end that you could consider as well. - Raiders are among the worst teams at defending tight end, so hopefully it's an opportunity for Concad as well. Let's show you the rankings 37 through 48. Again, you might be in some desperate situations, so you need a few of these guys here. So Xavier Worthy, his value as Heath alluded to, will bump up if Rice is not there. Dave's gonna tell you about Efton Chisholm and maybe his opportunities to help the Patriots if there is no AJ Brown coming back. We could see Khalif Raymond be a big part of this Bears offense with Caleb Williams back under center. And Darius Cooper, look, he scores touchdown. So he might be needed if, in fact, Devon Desmith sits once again. All right, let's talk about some starts and sits at the position. Dave, you like Carnal Tate. It was a disappointing game for him last week, but how much easier a match up this week, taking on the cold. - Yeah, a nightmare. So I'm just kind of trying to delete that from my brain and focus on what we saw from Tate two weeks ago, three weeks ago, those were double digit PPR points and monster game two weeks ago on monster target volume. And I actually think this is gonna be a competitive game against the Colts. Six receivers have at least 11 PPR points against Indy this year. That's the floor for Carnal Tate. And I think he's gotta shout it, jumping up toward that ceiling, getting north of 15 PPR points as the leader in targets for the Titans. Book him as a top 24 wide receiver. - And look, if you're desperate again, Juan Del Robinson has scored 11 PPR points or more in three straight games with two touchdowns over that space. He's actually been the more productive Titans receiver, not as high, but more productive in terms of more consistent. Heath, Devon, Veilay, guy you're going right back to again, bad game last week against the Vikings, but really everything was bad for the Saints last week. - Yeah, that's kind of the point. He has at least six targets in every game, including last week when Tyler Shuck only through 25 passes. He didn't throw 25 passes 'cause they were successful running the ball. It was because they only ran like 40 plays 'cause they couldn't stay on the field against the Vikings. I do not think they'll have any trouble staying on the field against the Giants defense. Veilay should bounce back and be a top 24 wide receiver. - Yeah, I hope so. I hope Chris Olave is healthy too. So he missed practice with an illness on Wednesday. Some keep an eye on their obviously Veilay's value with skyrocket, if whatever reason. Olave can't play in week six. I'm going right back to Jalen Coker practice in full. Thankfully he's going to be 100% healthy. He was awesome before he suffered this quad injury, 14.6 PPR points. He's of his first two healthy games, nine targets each of those two games. And this Eagle secondary, well expect them to be great. They have not been fifth in terms of most fantasy points allowed to pose in wide receivers. Six guys already have scored at least 15.5 PPR points or more against Philadelphia. Jalen Coker, Tederome, McMillan, both guys should be awesome. But Coker should be considered a number two fantasy wide receiver for this week. Let's talk about some guys to sit. So Dave, you're sitting Luther Burton. He's sitting Rome, Odunzay. Why do you guys hate the bear so much? - I'm worried about what the target share will look like with Caleb Williams back under center. 'Cause you remember how it was in those first two games. Burton got a little bit. Odunzay got a little bit. Colson loved them, barely got any. And Khalif Raymond was the guy who was just always in the right place at the right time for Caleb Williams. And Williams, just a phenomenal talent. But his biggest, I can't say weakness because it's also a strength to him. But the thing that he does all the time is cause a play, takes the snap, has the ball, holds it, holds it. Starts running, holds it some more. And then he tries to play Superman or he throws it away. And the receiver,
that a play is designed for often doesn't get the ball. So it makes me nervous to trust burden or, oh, doomsday for that matter, as a top 24 fantasy wide receiver could be, that one or both of them do well. I'd rather just kind of take my chances with them in that range of a 10 PPR point receiver. And I'd almost say the same thing about relief Raymond. I know the numbers have been bad the last two weeks for Raymond who hasn't been on the field for Chicago. It's been Caleb Williams and now that he's back against Atlanta, he'll be pressured, makes me nervous to go and say that any of these wide receivers must stop, must start players. I'm a little bit hopeful that Caleb watched the case keen on tape from the first game and saw how easy playing quarterback can be if you just get the ball out on time and has a hamstring injury that he's recuperating and wants to not run around so much. I am terrified of Roma Doomsday. He has one game this season with more than three catches. He has one game this season with double-digit fantasy points. He hasn't scored a touchdown yet. And the two games he played with Caleb Williams, he had seven targets combined. It wasn't good for Luther Burton, either. It was a lot better than that. And so I'm really worried about Burton or Doomsday. I don't want to start a Doomsday in a three wide receiver league if I can avoid it. It's a fun stat for this week and we'll see which two passcatchers it applies to. But the Falcons have allowed a pair of wide receivers in four straight games, we've only played five, in four straight games to get 11 PPR points or more. Now that could be Raymond and Lovelin that could be a Doomsday. I find it a pick. I think I'd actually pick Raymond and Lovelin. I mean, Raymond and Burton. It very well could be. We'll see how this all sort of shakes out. I'm just going to be a little more optimistic and say, both guys should be starters in three receiver leagues and Burton for me would be a starter in two receiver leagues. I'm going to sit Jalen Waddle into night's game. It's just been very frustrating to watch how this has unfolded for him. And even with Pat Bryant not playing last week, didn't really help Sean Payton taking over play. Calling duties didn't really help. Bonix is not playing very well right now and then oh, by the way, here comes Seattle. So I think if you're just looking at Jalen Waddle right now, still should be started in three receiver leagues because of all the players we're missing. If this is another bad game for him, you're not dropping him, but you're probably not starting him with any semblance of confidence even in three receiver leagues moving forward. We've got some fun sleepers for you here to get to. Dave, you like Efton Chisholm the third. Again, as you alluded to, Demarra Douglas two touchdowns last week. Kyle Williams had a touchdown last week. Romeo Dobbs did nothing. But Chisholm has been sort of a steady factor for them in the last two games without Mac Holland. This is me pretending to be Heath talking about a guy that can get 11 or 12 PPR points at wide receiver. And that's Chisholm. He's done that each of the last two weeks. He needs AJ Brown to stay away. If AJ Brown plays, then I don't know how much Chisholm is gonna play and you could cut Chisholm in that case. But we saw his route share go up to 80%. Or I'm sorry, his snap share went up to 80%. His route share was in the 70% range and he's a man-to-man coverage beater. And I think Drake may like throwing to him because he's done it a couple of times and Chisholm has gone all out to catch all those passes. So I'm gonna say he's like a borderline number three type of wide receiver. But he's got that same type of expectation is what I'm thinking for burden and Khalif Raymond in Chicago, he can get around 11 PPR points. - I took the low-hanging fruit and took Jeremy Bernard. Heath just, I thought it was interesting. How much money have you spent on him in fact? - Thousands of dollars. Yes, exactly a few leagues where they have thousand dollars worth of fab. About 25% to 30% in most of my leagues. I'm very optimistic about this wide receiver two role in the Pittsburgh offense. It's gonna be fun. And we saw it last week, career high, performance for him, not that the same much was the feeling that he was gonna come up here. But six catches for 80 yards, nine targets. They lose Roman Wilson with the finger injury. Michael Pittman's on IR with the foot injury. There's a lot to love about the situation for Jeremy Bernard. The matchup's gonna be interesting because Tampa Bay for the most part is done well against opposing wide receivers. I think this is gonna be still a chance for Bernard to have a big performance here. And they're in Roger's sort of maneuvers through the Todd Bulls blitzing and finds ways to get this kid open. And I think it's gonna be the start of something fun for him. I don't think this is gonna disappear even when Wilson and potentially Michael Pittman comes back. All right, we're gonna take a break. We come back and to talk about some quarterbacks. Got some fun. Potential start, sits debates, sit debates for you as well. Interesting to hear why Dave is sitting Tyler Schuck. We'll talk about that next here on FFT. We're talking about quarterbacks now. And again, some big name quarterbacks are on a buy, which way that list in a minute. But we're gonna give you some rankings to determine if you wanna start guys like Aaron Rodgers, Kirk Cousins, James Winston, over maybe even Trevor Lawrence, who's an MVP candidate right now in reality. But this is fantasy and let's show you the guys who are not gonna play in week six because they're on a buy. Two must start quarterbacks in Jared Goff and Joe Burrow. And another guy if you wanna beat the waiver wire, the schedule coming up for the Vikings is fantastic. So look for week seven for about a three, four game stretch. Kyler Murray can be very good. You see his opponent in week seven is gonna be the Minneapolis Colts. So that's a great opportunity gets Detroit after that. So Kyler Murray may be a good streaming option for you if you wanna stash him. And then Malik Wall is just disappointing so far. To the first five weeks of the season, maybe things change for him if he gets a healthy receiving quarter 'cause we get to see what this looks like with Caleb Douglas, Chris Bell, and Malik Washington all playing at the same time. All right, let's show you the rankings one through 12. And we got some good news with Caleb Williams practicing in full. He is expected to return for this week's game. And against Atlanta, he's also gonna be facing Michael Pennick Jr, who's gonna play despite the rib injury. Keith, when you look at Caleb Williams, he had a great game in week one. Disappointing game in week two, when you did play the majority of that game against Minnesota, it wasn't bad weather, the Vikings, et cetera. What are our expectations for maybe Williams working his way back after missing the last three games with the hamstring injury? I think he's one of those guys that it's hard to have expectations for because the ceiling, it's not that much different than Justin Fields when he was in Chicago. Like he could go score 45 fantasy points. He could also score 12. Neither one would be that surprising. I don't expect him to run quite as much. Is Atlanta defense has been better than we expected it to be? So I'm a little apprehensive. He's definitely a top 12 quarterback. I struggle a lot with him and my homes. And a guy I'm gonna talk about in a start and just a minute that I never thought he'd be talking about. - And she had 26. - Yeah, that's a good one. Well, we're gonna highlight a lot of the older quarterbacks here in a second. Let's show you the list 13 through 24. And we all sort of have a number two quarterback. I think that we like a little bit better than the others in terms of where the consensus is. So for Dave, it's Jamis Winston. He's gonna tell you where he likes him as a start. - Love what I saw in the second half last week. And I originally had him as a sit last week. And after that first half, I was like, see, he's in the sit. And then he went out of the sit last week. - No, I had him as a sit last week. - Jamis? - Yeah, I moved him into the sit last week. - Oh, and this show, this show you had him as a start last week? - Yeah, I changed it up, but not gonna change it this time. - We'll see. - He's a start, no, no, no. I'm committed to Jamis Winston for one more week. And we've seen it now. It's two straight weeks, favorable matchups. He's come through, it doesn't necessarily look pretty, and it doesn't necessarily happen at the start of a game. But by the time he got in the second half, the Giants played with tempo against the commanders. Commanders could not keep up with Malik neighbors and Isaiah likely, and who was throwing on the ball. It was Jamis Winston, and now he's going up against New Orleans. We just saw Kyler Murray do a great job against the Saints. Their past rush isn't gonna be able to get to Jamis Winston either. I don't love him as like a top five type of quarterback. But I think he makes the cut as a top 12 quarterback. Look for him to have a shot at three touchdowns again. They let him throw 50 passes last week, 52, I think, because they fell behind early against Washington. And Washington's actually got a good run defense. They couldn't have balled it. I don't think the Saints have a very good run defense. Do you think this coaching staff, if they can run the ball and have a lead early, are going to unleash Jamis? Or do they want to just keep him, keep him hemmed in for as long as they can, and then only let go if they have to. - They're way more open to not hemming him in and letting Jamis be the face of the offense now. Because their run game you mentioned it, it hasn't been good. We haven't seen Camp Scadboo play with good efficiency from week to week. We can always fumbling on top of it. That's a huge problem. So I think Jamis takes ownership of this offense until further notice. - Good luck, Giants fans. - Well, for this week, it's great. Next week against Houston. I don't know. - We'll see. We'll see how that goes. I mean, it wasn't pretty in the first half. I think they needed Jamis. So I don't know if they want exactly turned things over to him, but we'll see how things go there. We're going to have an opportunity here for a great gaming, it takes on this Dallas defense, which we know is not good. Every quarterback group, except for Jalen Daniels, 24 or more fantasy points. I say that because of the Washington game in week two, when both Jalen Daniels and Mark Mariotta scored 27 fantasy points. Love coming off his best game of the season. He's our start of the week for this week. Has top five upside. Hopefully, just continues to rely on his top two receivers. Maybe Tucker Kraft gets going a little bit as well. And as the run game has shown us, it's not exactly something that's reliable. So Jordan Love has a huge opportunity in front of him. So Heath, we talked about a few of these, you know, makeshift situations that you may have a quarterback here. Kirk Cousins, though, is he's been very good for the majority of the season. Last week was bad. Is he going to bounce back against Buffalo in week six? I think he will bounce back, but I don't know what year it is now, honestly. Kirk Cousins has 12 touchdown passes in five games, he's having 7.4 yards per carry. And the bills are the AFC Lions. Like great offense. They're going to score a bunch of points. They're not going to let you just settle into a run heavy game because you have to keep up with them. And also, they can't stop anybody. I don't think there's any chance they're stopping Brock Bowers. Kirk Cousins is just going to throw it to him over and over and over again. He's a top 12 quarterback for me, and honestly, he might be top nine by the end of the day. I was asked, well, what happens if Fernando Mendoza comes in in the fourth quarter? Because the bills, you can almost see it that they're going to have a lead and the Raiders are going to be chasing points. If it's like last week, Cousins might not play in the fourth quarter. And that would be something that would scare me off a little bit. I don't know. I think the Raiders will be able to put up points against this bill's defense because they're so bad. And it was road game last week. It is back-to-back road games for the bills that are staying on the West Coast. But still, we could see a situation where that they hang in this game enough. And I'm sure a big reason why is we alluded to with Ash and Gently. He's not running the ball very well. Kirk Cousins has been carrying the offense. All right. Let's talk about some sick quarterbacks that we're looking at here. Heath, Jacobi, were set. Was awesome last week against Detroit. Not going to be so awesome against the Rams this week. There's a little bit of the difference between the Detroit Lions past defense. A little bit. - I'm sure it's still a little bit, this is it.
a guy that I'm worried is going to get sat down in the very near future, because he's been awesome in terms of producing fantasy points in garbage time, which is what he did for 12 games last year and went one in 11 and he's got one win so far this year and it's really ugly and Tramack Brides getting frustrated and I just I think this Rams defense is so good that this could just be it's gross early like it has been and then he doesn't ever get to garbage time because all right let's see what the rookie can do. If he's frustrated by this, wait at least he's carcin' back. I mean that might be even worse but yeah hopefully Tramack Brides. I'm sorry because he was frustrated and Jacobi said you know I had to show him like they're just double teaming you every time and I can't force it in there. People will laugh at this. I wonder if Marvin Harris in what junior while he wasn't helping the team in terms of catching passes was at least making it. Oh the threat for sure. Yeah absolutely. As opposed to I don't know how many double teams was Marvin Harris. That about double teams is taking the safety with him. The safety aspect. There's one guy that was going to go with him either way and that's what we saw on them. Yes but now the safeties are cheating up because they don't have to worry about Kendrick Bourne's not doing that. Yeah. The other guys have a different level for sure. They're playing a bubble. Yeah he's faster but I don't know. They got a throat deep in order to threaten. Yeah it definitely changed some things. All right you're sitting Tyler Shock. I'm curious about this one. New York's defense is blitz at the second highest rate ever since Brian Burns went down and we just saw what happened to Tyler Shock last week when he was blitzed like crazy so he's going to face the exact same scenario and before you say well it's Minnesota's pass rush they're amazing. It's true. This giant's pass rush has been great as well. They got to J and Daniels a ton last week. I know J and Daniels ran for a ton of yards. Tyler Shock isn't running anymore. He did for two of his first three games and in his last two games remember he's got this banged up left hand. I don't think he wants to aggravate that injury. He's not running as much and its giant's defense has actually started to play a little bit better. I'm nervous that Tyler Shock can put together a good game so he's out of my top 12. The only thing that I think to sort of counter your other point about James. If James is throwing a lot. So is this guy? And if this guy's throwing a lot he's going to get production against his defense. I'm not sure if he will. I mean that's kind of. I'm not sure James. It's been the track record. It's been the track record for Shock his entire 10-year underkelin more. I guess I'm just the two things that Stank got to me. Stick out to me from last week. Number one they ran the ball way more than I thought that they would and Heath is right. They didn't have the ball a lot. 43 plays in the game. Well more than that this week. And number two they didn't play with urgency until the fourth quarter for New Orleans. And that just works. It's been the entire season though. Yeah. But you'd expect them to have a lot of quick game passing against the pass rush. They didn't do it. Tyler Shock's efficiency is terrible when he's pressured. All right. So we'll see how things go for Shock. You see Heath and I are a little bit more inclined to start. Shock. Dave is going to sit in this week. I'm going to sit Trevor Lawrence. If you possibly can he's had three very good games to disappointing ones. This is a very tough matchup for him. Historically does not do well against the Texans. 10 meetings in his career against this defense. Two games over 20 fantasy points. One of those in the Demiko Ryan's era. And now they're left tackle not going to play in this game. So taking on Will Anderson and Danielle Hunter. Not exactly the easiest setup for Trevor Lawrence. So not a number one quarterback for week six. All right. We're going to take a break. We come back and get into the tight end rankings. Similar to the quarterbacks. You had a lot of replacement options that you could have picked up this week off waivers like her cousins Aaron Rodgers, James Winston. You got some of the same thing at the tight end spot. We'll talk about Britain Strange. We'll talk about Pat Fry. I'm very moved. Tyler Riggby. That's next on FFT. Welcome back to fantasy football today. We're talking tight ends. Showing you some rankings. Give you some starts. Some sits and sleepers. And unfortunately talking about some of the tight ends that you're going to miss this week because of the buy. Really only one true must start guy. So if you want to take a look at the four tight ends. We're missing this week. Again, Detroit Cincinnati, Miami, Minnesota, La Porta. Heath, you're going to be okay. You got enough tight end replacements to cover your La Porta shares. You know, I got one. And I'm going to talk about him as a starter. Yes. That's a good one. In Pat Fry Remove, you also can pick up Brent Strange. Tyler Higgby, Hunter Henry. These guys have all been playing well. We'll have the opportunity to continue playing well in week six. And we'll show you where they rank. Right now, as we take a look at the list one through 12 today. These guys cracked the top 12. And sure enough, there's two of them. Brent Strange and Pat Fry Remove. So you guys both have them as starts. Let's just start right there. So Dave for you at Strange, Heath for you at Fry Remove. Dave, you can start because Strange. Oh no. Heath, you get to go first because Fry Remove is a little bit higher. And only because of my ranking of him. But he's lined up outside or in the slot for about 60% of his snaps. He's basically another one of these tight ends playing wide receiver most of the time. The fact that they don't have Michael Pittman. Well, he doesn't really matter anyway. They don't have Roman Wilson. And Aaron Rogers throwing 38 times per game. Tampa Bay's had a little bit of trouble with tight ends. Even tight ends that are playing in the slot. And so I think we're going to see, probably six targets from him. What I know we're going to see is when they get down near the red zone, he's the guy that Aaron Rogers trusts. He's a top eight tight end for me this week. I'm starting him in a lot almost as often as I'm starting Jeremy Brock. I don't mind that call. I think in full PPR, I would take Brenton Strange over him because we've seen it now two straight weeks, eight targets, seven catches and Brenton Strange. While he might not be an inside the 10 yard line guy, like Farm with his four Rogers, he's a check down guy for Trevor Lawrence. And Trevor Lawrence is going to be under a lot of pressure in this game. The offensive line is banged up for Jacksonville. You know the Texans are going to bring heat. And it means that Trevor Lawrence needs to get the ball quick. Who does he trust there? Parker Washington obviously. And over the last two weeks, it's been strange. So in full PPR leagues, I love him as a top 10 tight end. I thought it was just going to be, hey, they're playing the playing the bangles, Brenton Strange good. Then last week against the Eagles, still good. Like you said, targets have been there. Yeah, and if there's anything Jacobi Myers, Brian Thomas, they've become afterthoughts. It's been Parker Washington and Strange so far. So hopefully that continues. I'll show you the rank list 13 through 24. And we have some backups, similar to the quarterbacks that we're sort of pivoting to. If you have to, you know, find somebody that we don't always agree on from a consensus standpoint. So he's your guy is Hunter Henry once again. Dave, you got an interesting one here in Dalton. Can Cade for me. It's Tyler Higby. I'll just sort of tie in. Higby and the other two guys here. Higby three straight games with 11 PPR points or more. Was a little bit concerned when Puga came back. He was still involved a little bit concerned. Last week in Colby, Parkinson came back. He still involved the target share versus the volumes. A big conversation here because 50 pass attempts each of the last three weeks for Matthew Stafford. That's helped Tyler Higby, but I still think that we're going to see the Rams throw enough, especially as matchup against Cardinals. Fifth most fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. I still like Higby as a streaming option, but Strange and Firemuth in a little bit better spot. Dave, take me through Dalton. Can Cade because he's been such a disappointment since we came back? It's been terrible. And in week three, he had that fumble and that was a big deal. And I think that there was a trust issue there over the last two weeks. And now we just don't know if we can confidently start Dalton. Can Cade and I moved Higby ahead of him in my rankings, but he's still somebody that would consider starting because look at what the Raiders have allowed to tie at end so far this season. Juwan Johnson, Noah Fant, Hunter Henry, Eli Reredin, Orande Gadsden, all of them at least 9.8 full PPR points. And some of these guys had only four or fewer targets against the Raiders. So I think it's a favorable matchup. You're just hoping that Cade gets back into the good graces of Josh Allen. He's a sit for you. Yeah, I would imagine one of the Bill's tight ends could be good or score a touchdown. Will it be Dalton? Can Cade? Could be because Dawson Knox had more targets than Dalton. Can Cade did last week. I said this on the podcast this morning and I think that maybe it would help Dalton. Can Cade if DJ Moore is back because I think right now everybody knows how efficient Can Cade has been. Josh Allen's talking about wanting to get him involved again. And he just can't right now because there's not anybody else that the defense is worried about. Interesting thought there. And what about Hunter Henry? How's he going to do for a third straight game? Maybe double digits in people? I don't think anybody ever knows how Hunter Henry's going to do the average of what Hunter Henry is could possibly do. Put him in the top 12 conversation. Drake May looks like he's back to being a good quarterback who throws the ball to guys that are wearing the same colored shirt that he does now. And so that's a positive for Hunter Henry. He's generally someone that may will lean on in those third down situation. That's what's been happening over the last two weeks and I don't know if it's just third down situations. I think it might just be overall. But Hunter Henry's numbers have come up in weeks four and five. Drake May's numbers have gone up in weeks four and weeks five. There's a correlation there. Yeah, I said this on on this show this morning like there's Chisholm, there's Douglas, there's Romeo Dobbs, Kyle Williams. If you're ranking the Flex options for the Patriots aside from Ramondra Stevenson, Hunter Henry should be at the top of list just because he's been the most consistent of this group. Just looking at the starts. We already got Pat Fryer Muth and Brenn Strange for me. Dallas Goddard last week was great. Nine targets, not the production just in terms of the involvement. And now he has a much better matchup against the Panthers. Their last two games before their buy week. Harold Fanage and your Sam Laporte combined 15 catches, 135 yards, three touchdowns. Dallas Goddard may be the number one guy in terms of targets. Once again, if there's no demand they Smith, but certainly number two at worst. So Dallas Goddard has top five ups. I certainly should be back in your lineups for week six. All right, some guys that were sitting this week already talked about Dalton, Concade, Dave Colson, Loveland, even with Caleb Williams, back no trust. No, four targets in two games with Caleb Williams. So that's pretty easy. And there's still a lot of optimists out there, Jamie. He's 48% active in CBS fantasy leagues. I don't know why it's that eye. The hope, I guess the hope, you know, same thing with Kyle Pett's last week. We saw his best game of the season and it was, it was great. Look, he got five catches, 42 yards of touchdown. Michael Penix starting to get more involved the last two weeks. Bears are number three and few as fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. They've done a very good job so far against the position this season. I just don't think you go right back to Kyle Pett's. Penix is going to play, but who knows how healthy he is. So still more of a stash, but not somebody I think that you want to start. All right, we're going to take a break right now when we come back and get into your questions. That's all we're going to talk about in our next segment. So send them to us on social media using the hashtag #AskFFT. We'll help you with those fantasy dilemmas.
for week six. (upbeat music) - Welcome back to "Fancy Football" today. It's time for your questions. Thank you for sending to us on social media, using the hashtag #AskFFT. All right, here we go. Luther Burden, Coleman, Keon Coleman, or Chris Godwin, who we starting, let's assume no DJ more. - Well, he also said-- - Oh, good pick up. I'm sorry, good pick up. I would rather start Bernard than any of these guys. - I would pick up Bernard, drop Godwin, start Burden this week. - That's exactly what I would do as well. - All right, next question. All right, it was offered. Jameer Gibbs, Amecha Bukka, and Courtney Sutton from my Ramondra Stevenson, and Bukka Nakua. - What? - Also has Demontae and Pickins. A lot of names. You're both two and three facing each other this week. So would you take Gibbs, a Bukka, and Sutton for giving up Ramondra and Bukka? - Yeah, I mean, it's a lot. - But you have to give up a lot to get Jameer Gibbs on your fantasy team. - Assuming that I had like two other running backs that I could start, yes. I kind of feel like you're trading Ramondra and Pukka for Jameer Gibbs. Hopefully Amecha Bukka becomes something. - Yep. - I would do the trade for short. - I've got Breesaw, Oligordan, Manuel Wilson, for whatever it's worth. He can even survive the buy week there. - I think we're all in agreement on this one. We're starting Chris Olave, with Jalen Coker. - Yeah, we're there. - Yep, next one. Have Jalen Hurts and Tyler Schock dropping, Jalen Wright for Jaden Daniels. How much fat would you spend on Jaden Daniels if somebody could still make this move? - Somewhere in the neighborhood of 15%. - I think that's fair. - Yep. - One more. Would you trade Woody Marks and Bucky Irving for Chris Olave and Omarin Hilton? - Yes. - I would too. - Yeah, you got to do that. It's basically Bucky for a lot, but we don't know when David Montgomery's going to come back, but great trade for you. All right, check out our fantasy football today podcast. FAQs
Jamir Gibbs, Chase Brown, and Ali Gordon are on a buy for Week 6 and should not be started. Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones are also expected to be out due to injuries, making these players unavailable for fantasy lineups.
Yes, start DeAndre Swift regardless of whether Mananga plays. If Mananga is out, Swift is an RB1. If Mananga returns, he becomes a high-end flex. He's a consistent option and a top-tier fantasy back.
Ashton Genti is likely to play, but his rushing efficiency may be low. His best fantasy production has come through the air, and he's better suited as a solid second-tier RB in a full PPR league.
Avoid starting either Dobbins or Harvey against Seattle. Dobbins had a strong game last week, but Harvey has struggled with targets and play time. If the Broncos are trailing, Harvey may see more action, but neither should be trusted as a start.
Marshawn Lloyd is a debated option. He’s a high-scoring, high-touchback option with a chance at a touchdown, especially against a weak Packers defense. However, his low yardage efficiency makes him a low-end RB2 at best.
Yes, start Braylon Allen. He’s a true workhorse with 24 rushing attempts and four targets last week. His consistent workload makes him a reliable start even in a tough matchup.
