Week 5 Mailbag Q&A! Start/Sit, Waivers & Questions Answered! (10/10 Fantasy Football Podcast)
64m 20s
Fantasy Football Today features a lively discussion on player trades, lineup strategies, and fantasy league ethics. Hosts Dan and Jamie analyze recent trades involving players like Jaden Daniels, Menongai, and Neighbors, weighing matchups, injuries, and performance trends. A major focus is the movie *Rocky*, where they praise its nostalgic and emotional moments despite giving it a modest 7.2 rating. The show also delves into real-world fantasy league controversies, such as commissioners trading with inactive managers and refusing to allow trade vetoes, highlighting concerns over fairness and transparency. The hosts debate whether such trades should be blocked, arguing that while not egregious, they create an unfair advantage and undermine league integrity. Audience questions cover various scenarios, including PPR settings, value of emerging players, and risk management in depth. A unique ethical dilemma arises about whether managers should disclose their knowledge gained from the show to level the playing field. Ultimately, the episode underscores the importance of balance, transparency, and fairness in fantasy football, blending strategy, humor, and real-life lessons.
This is Fantasy Football Today from CBS Sports.
What a play!
Can you believe this?
It's a no-like game.
It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
Off to the races, and he stays on his feet.
He's just going to go the distance.
Now, here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
Oh, baby, it is mailbag time, and a very special mailbag
because Dan has something prepared for us
that I totally forgot to tell Jamie about.
What do you think it is, Jamie?
I really don't know.
He's going to review a movie for us.
Oh, Rocky.
Yes, we did it.
We finally watched it, baby.
All right, we'll do it a little bit.
Within the movie, I've only heard the original song,
like that basic version.
There's a guitar solo within that song that I didn't know about.
It's like a 70s.
They drag it on for like seven minutes
as he's like running through the streets and stuff.
It's awesome.
You got to hold that mic right up to your mouth
because you're a little quiet today, all right?
Okay.
Put your mixer up.
Fix some levels, too.
Yeah, fix some levels.
There's levels to this.
Dan is in a new location today holding his microphone.
As usual.
It's very Dan.
You know what's great?
When a cable company quotes you
that they're going to be there at a certain time,
you wake up an hour early to make sure you don't miss it.
They text you 30 minutes before that time
that they're on their way,
and then they get there.
What was it?
One hour and 35 minutes after the time,
and then your whole plan of having them
complete their process of being done upgrading the internet
before your show is just totally ruined.
So here I am in a new location holding a microphone.
It's great.
Just great.
You expect, you know,
when you have the early morning appointment,
you expect them to be on time.
No.
Yeah, you do.
Exactly.
You do.
Because I'm on time.
I'm waiting up for them.
Okay.
I can't wait until we're about 15 minutes into the show
and Dan's arms get tired.
I'm already tired.
The arms are already tired.
He's switching a lot.
All right, let's go to some YouTube questions
to start the show.
PPR, six point per pass and touchdown.
Do I go with the Love-Watson stack
or do I start Jaden Daniels?
I'd go Jaden Daniels and Watson.
I don't really love this matchup for Love.
Chicago's been playing great on defense,
so I'll go with Daniels too
with some reservation of that potentially being
a really bad weather game.
I don't really love either play at all.
I came for Kincaid or Loveland.
Now I'm here for the Epic Rocky review.
I'm so excited.
One thing at a time here.
Kincaid or Loveland?
Loveland for me.
Kincaid for me.
All right.
Six point.
Oh, did that one.
Start two.
Menongai, McConkie.
I'm already tired.
Woody Marks, Keon Coleman.
Menongai, McConkie, Woody Marks, Keon Coleman.
I got a lot of guys I may not play here.
Assuming DJ Moore is out,
McConkie's in,
Menongai are in,
then I would go with Menongai and McConkie.
We'll see if this works.
Let's go with. Well, Menongai's probably not going to. You're saying if Menongai plays, Jamie?
If Menongai plays. All right, so I gave the scenario if Menongai plays.
You can give them a certain scenario if Menongai's out.
Coleman and McConkie for me,
but I don't know if Menongai's out.
I don't think McConkie's going to play.
Yeah, I don't think McConkie's even less likely to play.
Seems that way.
He hasn't practiced as of Friday morning.
He hasn't practiced. So you're going Woody Marks and Keon Coleman.
Yeah, you're not much of a choice.
Are you picking up enough sound from here?
I mean, it's a little quiet.
Is it?
I have my mixer all the way up.
Yeah, but you're just not that close.
All right, it's okay.
Scataboo or Algier?
Scataboo.
Scataboo.
Grade the trade.
I sent. I think you have to yell, Dan.
Just yell.
Yeah.
I said Colson Loveland and Jamison Williams and J.K. Dobbins.
So gave up Loveland, Jamo, and Dobbins for Laporta and Saquon.
Damn.
F.
F.
F.
You got Laporta and Saquon.
I don't know how much I love Saquon.
And I don't love Saquon.
Jamo and Loveland might be the two best players.
I don't know.
Jamo, no.
Laporta is the best player in this.
He is right now.
No, I think he's the best player.
I mean, you could argue that Jamo could be.
I'm fine with that.
It's not a great trade.
I don't hate it.
I'll be nicer.
D.
No, I'm going to give it a B.
Yeah, you are.
I don't hate it.
There's upside to potential.
I mean, if Saquon just returns healthy, as bad as that offense is going to be, it should. I don't know.
I feel like he should still be a better play than anyone in that trade, except for Jamo.
Eagles just may be awful.
And we don't know how long Barkley's out.
Yeah.
That's risky.
Let's call it a few weeks.
Brees Hall, Adonai Mitchell ruled out this week.
Okay.
Start Sam Darnold, Aaron Rodgers, or Jameis Winston.
Four point per passing touchdown.
I got the ugly call.
I'm going with Rodgers.
I would go with Rodgers.
He's a very handsome guy, Dan.
According to. Didn't somebody once tell you you look like him or something?
Oh, well, then he's very handsome.
I thought I heard that once.
I think that's why you're saying that.
You can't start Winston, because this game could be really bad weather.
I wouldn't start him, and Darnold's not a good matchup.
So, Rodgers feels. Feels easy to me.
All right.
Dan, grab a pillow, put it on your desk, and put the mic on it.
C. Warren, in all caps, I don't have a pillow anywhere near me,
but thank you for that idea.
And I might have one, actually, somewhere near me.
Pillow is a bad idea.
That's a terrible idea.
You need something firm, otherwise the microphone is going to go right through the pillow.
Right now, it's in a coffee mug.
I feel like it's pretty good.
It is.
Legitimately in a coffee mug.
And I don't think it sounds bad.
Is it good?
It's fine.
It's a little quiet, but it's fine.
Pick two.
Neighbors, Garrett Wilson or Michael Wilson?
Michael Wilson, for sure.
And despite it being bad weather. I'm going to go Neighbors.
I'm going to go with Michael Wilson and Garrett Wilson.
All right.
So, are we really thinking the weather's going to be that bad for this giant game?
That's what we've been hearing.
I don't know if it actually is, but that's what we've been hearing.
Let's see.
Right now, we don't have any. Back to holding the thing.
We don't have any major red warnings or orange yet for Kevin Roth.
So, just so I'm clear, you moved everything but the mic stand, right?
Yeah, that's too hard to move.
It's like, you know how it is.
You see it right there.
It's on your desk, and it's like, you don't want to move that.
You know what I mean?
The mixer, you can pack up.
You can unplug things.
You can wrap it around.
It's pretty. It's a pretty simple process.
How about that comment?
Go to the deli and get a sandwich to prop the mic with.
If you're going to NJ Deli's, that'll be correct, because those sandwiches are stacked.
So, yes, you can prop a stack sandwich.
I might get a good stack sandwich.
I've been thinking about it after this pod's done.
Peanut butter and jelly or turkey sandwich for lunch?
Turkey.
Yeah, come on.
What are we, 10 years old here?
Neither.
A few more questions, and then we'll get into the mailbag.
By the emails.
A good turkey sandwich does taste good, but I wouldn't go that direction.
Can't wait to hear the sound of the coffee mug breaking.
You won't hear it, because it'll be too far away from this mic.
Rams or Jets DST?
Rams.
I just dropped the Rams, but not for the Jets, for a better option.
Rams is fine.
I have no faith in the Jets DST.
Pro audio engineer here, but what do I know?
Is this the guy I. Hey, see, Warren.
That's the pillow guy, right?
I respect it.
Is this the pillow guy?
I didn't know you were pro audio engineers.
He says, the softness of the pillow absorbs vibration much better than the mug.
I mean, I don't know how to prop it on the pillow.
I'm just saying that the pillow is not going to be a sturdy thing for the mic to stand
on, and then it's going to fall.
I like that somebody's comment said, Dan broke into an empty house.
What did the comment say?
That you broke into an empty house?
Yeah.
Oh, this is interesting.
Adam looks like the coach from the Oklahoma City Thunder,
and it low-key bugs me.
He does it like him, yeah.
What's that guy's name?
I don't follow the NBA very well.
Mike or Mark Dagonalt.
Mike?
Mark?
Thunder coach.
It's funny that I got Dagonalt, but I can't remember his first name.
You look like that actor, and I can never figure out what his name is, but he's like. Tom Cruise.
Oh, yeah.
That squirrely guy.
One Blues fan wants to do.
You don't look like this guy.
You don't look like this guy at all.
It's a terrible call.
All right, let's see it.
Let's see it.
Bring up Dagonalt.
Who?
Yeah, that's not you.
It's similar.
I don't like his hair, the front of his hair.
It's too short.
You got to let it grow a little bit.
Would you drop Wicks for Adonai Mitchell?
If you're not playing Wicks, that's probably a good long-term play, but they're kind of similar.
I mean, they're both going to be heavily involved.
I think at this point, with Devontae Smith's injury, I'd probably just hold on to Wicks.
Purdy, Goff, or May?
Rest of season.
Purdy.
Purdy, yeah.
How could you answer that any differently?
Dan is going to tell people later today he did five sets of bicep curls this week.
I'm going to be so sore with this stupid thing.
Half gallon of coffee ice cream will prop it up, too.
I am telling you, coffee ice cream.
I've heard from a lot of people who listen to Fantasy Football Today, by the way, that they don't want to admit it,
but coffee ice cream is an underrated flavor that they like a lot.
Who wouldn't want to admit that?
Yeah, because of things that happened like when I admitted it and what happened after that.
It's not a bad take.
It's a great take.
If you're a coffee connoisseur, somebody who loves to wake up with a cup of coffee in the morning,
it's your favorite part.
It's your favorite part of the morning.
How could you not like it in ice cream form?
Sadiq?
I can't wait to listen back to the show.
a thousand decibels
to hear what Dan had to say.
You can't hear me.
Even with it this close?
I can hear you.
You're fine.
Yeah.
Kenyon, Sadiq, Dallas, Goddard,
or Mike Kosicki?
This is the sliding scale, right?
So if the Bengals are out,
it's Kosicki.
If Goddard's in
and the Bengals receivers are in,
I would go Goddard.
If Sadiq is the fallback, boy.
This is crazy.
Adam looks like Adam Arkin.
I don't know who that is.
Pull the picture.
Now I know who it is.
I didn't know him by name.
But I don't get this at all.
Sit one.
Garrett Wilson, Parker Washington,
or Matthew Golden?
I'd say Golden.
You have to sit Golden.
Will you?
I would sit. I might sit Garrett Wilson.
But role-wise, it's hard to do that.
So I'm fine chasing the volume with Wilson
and hoping things get better
and benching Golden.
Can't bench Parker.
This is Adam Arkin.
This is who they think
you look like?
No way.
I really wish I could figure out
this actor in my head
who you look like.
What's he from?
I get Henry Rowan Gardner a lot.
He's in a million different
little things, but
I don't know exactly what.
Henry Rowan Gardner.
Oh, Dan's sneezing.
Disgusting.
All right, let's. Just disgusting.
Sunday morning.
Sunday morning.
Where do you guys stand
on sneezing?
I feel like the smart thing
to do with a sneeze,
you sneeze right into your. Into your arm.
Oh, you sneeze into your elbow.
No.
Yeah, that's basically
into the elbow.
Oh, no, you're sure
you're gonna get snarled
over your shirt.
Into your sneeze?
No, like this.
I don't get it, Jamie.
What do you mean?
Yeah, yeah, like this.
It's the same thing.
The idea is you don't
sneeze into your hand.
You sneeze way too far up.
The key is not to sneeze
into your hand.
As long as you're not
sneezing into your hand,
you're doing it right.
So I have a different. I have a slightly different
take on that, okay?
Okay.
So I understand you're not
supposed to sneeze in your hand
and you're supposed to sneeze
in your elbow, right?
You're spreading germs less.
However, if you have
like a wet sneeze,
it's just in your shirt.
Like if you have. Right?
If you sneeze into your hands,
you can immediately
wash your hands
and get rid of it.
And it did look like
Dan was smelling his armpits.
I agree.
Spaceball, I did mute
the mic when I sneezed.
What are you talking about?
He did, he did.
That's exactly what I did.
I do have big germaphobe energy.
You are 100% right.
Oh, not only does he have energy,
it's confirmed in real life.
I've seen it in action.
I've seen Adam's germaphobia
in action multiple times.
So, yeah, I just think
if you sneeze into your hands,
then you can immediately clean it.
If someone's like out to dinner
and they sneeze into their elbow,
they're going to have
a frigging wet spot
in the elbow portion
of their shirt.
It's disgusting.
But if you're out to dinner
and you just sneeze into your hand. Well, you probably don't have
any wet sneezes
because you don't trim your nose hair,
so they're all there.
All right.
Do you trim your nose hairs, Jamie?
Do I?
Yeah, of course.
I've never once in my life
even considered
trimming of nose hairs.
I didn't even know
that was a thing.
Yeah, if you have,
you know,
some people have,
but you don't have to.
I've done it once or twice,
but for the most part,
I'm good.
What do you use in there?
Use scissors.
Scissors?
Like, you know,
not like scissors
you'd cut a piece of paper with.
There's manicure scissors?
What are they called?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, right.
What people clip their nails with,
you know,
those like scissors
that have like a little curve to them.
Anyway, join us Sunday morning,
8.30 to 9.30 a.m.
Jay Baruchel or whatever,
I get that a lot,
from Knocked Up.
Who's that?
He's in that movie
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
She's Out of My League.
Yep.
He's like super skinny.
Yeah, it's really the skinny guys
they think you look like.
All right, all right.
There's another guy.

This guy,
he says,
his name is Andrew
and he's from a city
in Northwest South Carolina.
Dan, how's your
South Carolina geography?
Not very good.
One time, though,
on the way to
Panama City Beach
with my friends
at 21 years old,
four guys packed in a car
down to spring break,
30-hour drive,
we had our alternator blow
in South Carolina
and this guy,
Stebo,
the greatest man
in the history of the world,
helped fix our car
and that was in South Carolina
and that's all I know.
So, shout out, Stebo.
Shout out, South Carolina.
One day I'll be back.
Okay.
Do you ever put in
a $25 fab bid on a guy,
win him,
and then see the next highest bid
was $3
and think,
crap,
I just wasted $22
or $21?
Yeah.
I have a proposal.
What if fab
worked like an auction?
You put in your maximum bid
and if you win,
you only pay $1 more
than the next highest bid.
So, in my example,
I bid $25
but I get the player for $4
and I keep that extra $21
in fab budget.
And there's also some,
what do you guys think?
No.
There's a name for this.
It's like,
I think I'm going to embarrass myself.
Oh, it's Vickery.
Vickery.
Vickery Auction.
A sealed bid,
but the second price auction
where the highest bidder,
a sealed bid,
second price auction
where the highest bidder
wins the item
but pays the price
of the second highest bid.
It does like,
it does,
there's,
put some strange strategy into it,
but he wanted to know
what we thought of it.
Well, I mean,
wouldn't that,
wouldn't you like,
just put as much as you
have?
Right.
Because you have to worry
that someone else
is going to do that too.
And then you get out
of paying $80
for someone that you would
have ordinarily bid five on.
I guess.
I don't know.
I'm out on this completely.
Part of the strategy
is knowing how much
to spend on a player.
Right.
Yeah.
There's,
there's like a little cat
and mouse game
that you can play
if you know somebody
really wants,
you know,
so I give example,
I,
whatever.
Yeah.
I'm not excited
about Will Shipley,
but I have absolutely,
I had no running backs.
I needed to make sure
I get Will Shipley.
So I didn't want to spend,
I don't want to overspend
for him.
So I'm like,
you know what?
If I get Will Shipley,
I got 26 bucks,
whatever.
I have no,
I didn't go check to see
what the next highest bid was,
but it was like half
of my budget at that point.
And I was like,
screw it.
I got to get him.
Right.
Yeah.
Somebody else might have
been spent 15,
but I needed him.
Right.
So then you would have
had to spend 16.
Yeah.
But that's,
that's the gamble.
Yeah.
All right.
We're gonna take a break.
I love it.
The biggest germaphobe
got pink.
It is true.
There are some studies,
there's studies to be said
that like,
if you're a huge germaphobe,
you actually are.
You know what?
Do me a favor,
Dan.
You didn't build
your immune system enough.
Find me a study
because you're a hundred percent
about the immune system.
You didn't build
your immune system of enough.
Yeah.
You're,
you're making that up,
but I don't have pink eye.
I have other issues with my eye,
but it's not pink eye.
It's a three month,
but how long is this going on now
for three weeks with this eye?
Yeah.
Something like that.
I shouldn't be laughing.
It does suck.
It really does.
All right.

This one is from Crosby,
half point PPR,
half point PPR.
Half point PPR.
Who says that?
Half PPR,
12 teams.
Is this too much
of an emotional trade-off for now
with how Hampton's been used?
Give up Hampton
and it says plus JJ slash Wilson.
I don't know.
Justin Jefferson or Michael Wilson?
Yeah, that's a huge difference.
Or Emmanuel Wilson?
For Chase Brown and Jalen Coker.
So Hampton and one of those receivers,
I would assume,
Chase Brown and Jalen Coker.
I would say at this point,
I don't know what Dave's trade chart is.
I would say at this point,
you got to consider Hampton and Coker
in the same range.
Yeah, I would say that's fair.
And so Chase Brown
and one of those receivers
in the same range.
So I don't mind that at all.
Yeah, but I wouldn't give up Jefferson.
I mean, if you could do it
for Michael Wilson.
It could be Garrett Wilson
through somebody in the chat.
Oh, it probably is Garrett Wilson.
Yeah, I would still give up
Garrett Wilson over Jefferson.
I think that's a fair trade.
Okay.
I agree with you.
I would try to hold on
to Justin Jefferson.
Okay.
What do you think of this trade?
Jefferson and Judkins.
Give up Jefferson and Judkins.
Get James Cook and Neighbors.
Yeah.
I don't even need to think about that.
It's so easy and obvious.
Terrible trade by the guy
who gave up Cook and Neighbors.
Yeah.
Yeah.
What are we doing here?
From Carly.
I'm in running back jail this week
between buys and injuries.
Somebody said it could be
the volleyball.
Wilson.
That's a dad joke.
Yeah, fine.
From Carly.
Pick two.
Harvey, Montgomery, Hampton,
and Braylon Allen.
Harvey, Montgomery, Hampton,
Braylon Allen.
Allen.
PBR.
To me.
Didn't say.
I'm going Hampton and Allen.
I'd go Hampton and Allen.
If it's PPR full,
I might go RJ Harvey over Hampton.
Yeah, you can.
You can.
You can certainly make that call
from Brett.
Yeah, you know,
kind of an interesting.
I talked about on Thursday show
what RJ Harvey is doing right now.
His target share the last two games.
Bo Nix is running back target rate
the last two games.
Like I said,
we know that Bo Nix going to throw
to his running back,
but it's been that offense on steroids.
You shouldn't expect that
statistically to continue.
Now you have Sean Payton calling plays.
You've got to figure they're going to
try to get the ball
to their wide receivers more.
So,
I'm just,
I think it's close
between Hampton and Harvey
and full PPR.
Should be a big waddle week.
I hope.
Great Iron Guru asks,
has Dan seen cast away?
Yes or no?
Oh, it's,
good one uh i know yes because if he hadn't seen it he probably wouldn't even get the wilson
reference no i'm gonna say no adam was right i have seen it oh and by the way hot take about
that movie it should have ended when he got rescued we didn't need to see the whole thing
he goes back to his house his wife doesn't love him anymore whatever it is like should have ended
when he got rescued would have been a great movie that movie bored the hell out of me it wasn't
great yeah i shouldn't say it would have been great it would have been slightly better you're
right it was pretty boring so last week we did an over under on how many states no we did it we
did a guessing game how many states dan schneier has been to and i was within one or two that's
crazy but within one i was within one but it was closest without going over and i went over by one
so even though i was so much closer than jamie i actually lost i celebrated and then got a text
message from one of you saying that jamie actually won and it was really disappointing
so that was a double or nothing situation that put us back at zero i'm now up one nothing
uh with the cast away we didn't technically bet on this one but i'll give it to you yeah
come on i know dan so well uh okay from brett dear marty joe mark and you do know but technically i
won the biggest bet so far true which is the double or nothing yeah that's how betting works
dear marty joe i've yet to win a dollar that's true marty joe
mark and the soldier of peace marty joe mark and the soldier of peace i have never heard
the soldier of peace portion of this the heck is that do you know jamie say it again i'm sorry
marty joe mark and the soldier of peace i do not no idea this is the new york sack exchange marty
lions joe mark gasano and abdul salam is the soldier of peace interesting half ppr ken walker
on bye
do i start david montgomery or brian robinson jr
i would start montgomery and we talked about this jacob and i on our show
it feels like this could be a david montgomery we call it a gut feel call it leaning on the
game script the possibility that they are able to kind of run away with the game against probably
the worst or second or third worst team in the nfl the titans but if this isn't a david montgomery
week i don't think we have any left on the on the books i would start montgomery also i i kind of
share that sentiment with you i would start montgomery also i i kind of share that sentiment with you
like this the game script is perfect you know i mean you have a team that gets run on a lot you
have opportunities here to hopefully hold the ball quite a bit and i think that their defense is going
to have their best performance to date which isn't saying very much but with tamiko ryan's taking over
so time and possessions to be in their favor um it's just like what is a david montgomery week at
this point like there's two two opportunities the last two games where there should have been
goal line chances for him and it went to woody marks or you know inside the five opportunities
and if that's going to happen then david montgomery is worthless if he's not as good as him then he's
going to touchdowns he's worthless too yeah uh also like tennessee's run defense isn't that bad
yeah they're not a good team it's not they have whenever they have jeffrey simmons it's not like
it's an easy it's kind of just like i'm big on tooting this week though i feel like it's a
situation where it's just the opposite team on offense is going to be punting punting punting
punting and the eagles will be punting a lot in this game and so there's just so many opportunities
on offense we should clip that punting punting punting i can't wait to see it man someone should
make like a i mean i think jalen hurts at 68 net
yards last week on 30 something dropbacks that's bad it's as bad as it gets there
sammy in chicago quarterback sammy what'd you say for a supposed elite quarterback that's what he
was called billed as by me to to me by heath sammy in chicago 12 team ppr six point per passing
touchdown start three of the following zay zay flowers parker washington garrett wilson dante
myers just the first three yeah
i mean i think myers could have a big i'm checking something i apologize no it's all right zay flowers
parker was pretty simple you're not benching parker zay ever right trying to read it i'm trying to
read it to jb if you wouldn't buy it zay flowers parker washington garrett wilson dante myers part
start three you're sitting myers even if the bangles guys are up yep all right i think i think
dan is going to get this reference mark in grand rapids michigan hey chauncey rip ben yeah and tay
detroit pistons champion
what are we doing with puka nakua should i sell for what i can now since people seem very worried
about a long-term injury what so one of the twitter doctors i forget which one it was was
saying or maybe it was pro football talk and then one of the twitter doctors
commenting on it that i think that's what it was um his groin issue hernia issue may require
surgery at some point and there's a lot of people who are worried about that and i think that's what
is the chance of him re-aggravating it and needing surgery at some point soon so okay there is some
thought too if you can maximize his value right now before something potentially happens now i do
think that that report came before he returned to play so i don't know how much that changed after
he's played the last two games yeah um or last week so i wouldn't be too worried about it but
clearly it's something that you got to keep in in mind to some certain extent so okay yeah you know
it's not a hernia yet but it could become one and that's the concern here um like i have pre-pink eye
i guess you get if you could get back a premier player sure if you're taking back like two guys
who are inconsistent i wouldn't do it like a two for one with two inconsistent guys no
this is from duran jsn for jefferson and aj brown would you make that trade
no
jsn for jefferson and aj brown i think if you have one receiver and nothing else like i have
one league with jsn and my second receiver is don tavian wicks i would entertain this i probably
would not do it but i would entertain it um yeah if aj brown is aj brown again like you're going
to win that trade i'd rather just find my dante myers every week and still jsn or whatever it is
like i just i think when you trade away these core players you end up losing your leagues
if you have one of these league winning players you keep them in my mind and i will say in that
league i'm three and one the one loss was last week after jsn had a bad game he's not the only
reason i lost but that was you know coincided yeah i think it's a you know i don't know what
to expect from jefferson is a pretty telling week but his uh his target per out run rate is insane
it's well it's 30.4 it's terrific jefferson or jsn jefferson okay considering he played he ran
two routes in one of his games and and with that like in the three games that he's played and one
of them he played two two routes six snaps he has a 25 target share wow it feels a lot different from
last year i mean they are really trying so hard to get him involved on almost every snap it's great
and that's an exaggeration obviously we haven't seen that much i'm pretty encouraged by jefferson
even with kyler however i think this this week i think will really help us if he plays will help us
know what the value of justin jefferson is but the early signs were very good for him um all right
uh by the way sad news what uh mike dick has passed away oh wow terrible i always like mike
dicka um obviously i don't know him as a player but good like character in football and very funny
and kicking and screaming we had the uh this conversation off the air in the green room on
sunday about our mount rushmore conversation
of tight ends yeah and um having with with p prisco obviously has a vast knowledge of
you know historical players and brought up a few guys that i don't think anybody would consider and
i said you know dicka should be you know in the conversation not probably on the mount rushmore
of tight ends but um first thousand yard season for a tight end ever yeah crazy all right well
i'm sad to hear it you know what maybe we should go to break because now it's like yeah let's just
and we'll reset after that and we'll uh we'll get the fantasy cops and we'll get dan's review of
rocky after this on fantasy football today i play rocky yeah i can do it i play i play rocky
trying to quote the guy from the i play rocky trailer
dude doing a sylvester salone impression oh yeah um anyway what'd you think of rocky
we're doing rocky review okay so here it goes we pop into the movie
you got the
intro music right down the uh right down to the middle of downtown philly with rocky fighting
thought that was freaking awesome i thought it was very cool to see the old streets of philly
big fire in a garbage can 20 people singing doo-wop it's like where am i what year is this like
that hasn't happened in 30 40 years and this was like 1970 i think we looked it up adam was at 76
when this movie came out um but then out of nowhere we get the third scene is in his apartment
with weird lighting and he's talking to a goldfish and he's like oh my god i'm gonna die
and he's talking to himself in the mirror and i'm at this point i'm like am i watching a
sports movie or am i watching like a poor man's taxi driver with deniro i didn't know where we
were going with this thing uh and then like a few scenes later i'm starting to think like okay i
understand why they called this rocky like why he's called rocky he's literally as dumb as rocks
like he's having these conversations in the pet store with adrian and it's not making any sense
and i'm like where are we going with this movie and so as we get into it start to see like the
awesomeness of like the the aspect of like he's fighting he's trying to be this guy that can
you know prove somebody wrong and obviously gets his opportunity all that part was cool
we'll get to the ending of it which i thought
it was fun. Um, but I had some things that I wanted to point out that I thought were interesting
about some of you. One, Rocky says he's 30 years old. That's what he claims to be in this movie.
And Adrian's apparently 30 as well. I would say he looks 37 at the youngest. And then later on,
I feel like this is confirmed when he's like in the apartment yelling at Mick, he's like,
my knees are busted and I don't work and I'm broken down. I'm like, who's broken down like
that at 30 years old, Rocky. So yeah, I don't agree with you. Okay. I, a couple other things.
I don't know if anyone knows this, but in the, uh, boxing gym locker room, there's a sign right
behind Rocky's locker that I didn't understand. It says no kissing. So I did not know what that
meant. I was wondering if anyone ever pointed that out about this movie, but it was very
interesting. There's also the, I thought I just find some of these like interesting time nostalgia
parts interesting to me. Like there were, what do you think the tagline for seven up was in the
1970s? Cause when he's in the pizza shop, there's like a, a big seven upside. What do you think
they, their tagline used to be seven up?
Yeah.
I don't know.
The un-cola. How bad is that? The un-cola. Like, how is that good? Um, does that make me want to
drink a seven up? Um, but then I was also wondering, is this where the, I've always like
throughout my life heard this moniker, the Italian stallion. Is this where it started?
Yeah.
This is where it started. That's so cool. I didn't know Rocky started the Italian stallion.
So let me get jump in here. I, I, I Googled it and also people in the chat, at least one person,
uh, women weakened legs. That's what Mickey says. So no kissing,
is Mickey reminding people like to cut women out of your life. You want to be a great boxer.
Oh, Oh, cause I forgot. He did say that. He said you had to cut her off Adrian off and now he's
putting in the locker room. Like, Hey, there's no, you know, okay. I got, I got where Mickey's
coming from now. Yeah. That was an interesting guy. That Mickey guy, that whole scene was crazy
with him yelling at him in the apartment and yelling at himself and having his own mental
breakdown and going outside to see Mick. That was a crazy scene. Um, and so I also was wondering,
is this ever been debated on the show as being,
the Christmas movie? Cause there is some, don't go down this road. I just want to get you out of
the movie. This is another episode. No, no. Rocky four is a Christmas movie. Listen, there's a,
there's a Thanksgiving scene where the crazy brother throws the Turkey out. And then there's
a little bit of a little bit Christmas decorations after that. So we, we move forward.
Jamie thinks it's a Thanksgiving and Christmas movie. No, no, no, no, no. And then my favorite
part of the movie by far was obviously the final scene with them boxing. Very cool scene. He's like,
I don't even want to beat this guy. I just want to make it the whole distance. And he's fighting.
And he's like, are you going to be done? He's like, no, I'm going back out there. And when they
ring the bell, I love when, when, when, um, Creed whispers to her, tells him ain't going to be no
rematch says, I don't want one. I love that response. Like, I don't want one. Like don't want one. Like I wasn't here for, you know, I don't need to prove that I'm
better than you. I just need to prove that I could fight with you and I could make it all the way to
the end. And I thought that was my, by far my favorite part of the movie, huge fan of Adrian,
huge Adrian fan cross the border.
Just like everything about her. Um, just think the whole thing was funny with her. And so,
yeah, overall I would say probably still just like a 7.2 for me. It doesn't really like it's
good. It's not better than seven. I stand by that. Seven is clearly better. 7.2. Yeah. Seven,
the movie would be like eight, eight, eight points in those high eights. This is still like in a low
sevens. Um, but overall it was enjoyable.
The time part piece was part of it was cool. Don't think I'll watch the second, but happy. I watched
the first. Okay. Well, I, I appreciate the review. I wish you'd liked it a little bit more, but that
was pretty high for me. It's pretty solid. Okay. All right. Well, uh, wait. Um, so what would seven
be on a scale of one to 10? Would you say I said it would be like an 8.6 or an eight, eight
somewhere in that range for me. Okay. Sorry. I just needed to find the music. It's time for the
Shepard stampede. The commissioner of our league traded with an inactive manager who has not been
setting his lineup with multiple inactives left in. And he said, Kenneth Walker on his bench,
the commissioner set the league so that he has sold discretion to approve or deny trades.
And he refuses to reverse the trade. He said that if you guys say it's unfair,
he will reverse the trade. Help me call it. You know what? I'll leave the rest. So the
commissioner said it's up to us. What do we do? Hold on. He traded with an inactive manager.
An inactive player. He traded with a man. The commissioner did. Yeah. The commissioner has
been trading with a manager who has not been setting his lineup, has, has had Kenneth Walker
on the bench. So he traded. Here's the trade. Commissioner gave up Joe Burrow and Cam Scadaboo
and got Matthew Stafford and Kenneth Walker. No, no, it's unacceptable. It's completely
unacceptable in a one quarterback league. I would let that trade stand. It's disgusting.
I would let that trade stand as just a bad trade. If two,
two active managers made it because Burrow was drafted way ahead of Stafford. Stafford hasn't
really been that good this year. No, in one quarterback league was Joe Burrow really
drafted way ahead of Stafford. It's still like round eight or 10. It's a negligible.
No, he was top five quarterback. Stafford was like Walker's one of like the five players
defining. I am not saying it's a good trade. I'm saying that if there were no collusion,
if there were no controversy, if it was just too active, there is, I would let the trade stand.
There's different scenario here. So what are we doing? Vito, you can't have
mission or trading with a guy who has Ken Walker on his bench for three weeks. You can't have a
league where a guy has Ken Walker on his bench for three leagues. We're going to be honest about
the situation just to be hard cop for a second. I didn't say three weeks. I don't know how long
he was on the bench. Whatever it is, we got to play a little hard cop here. Get your league
together. If you want to take this seriously, then managers have to have Ken Walker in their
starting lineups. If you don't want to take it seriously, and it is what it is, and you're
having fun with your friends, then let the trade go through because who cares? There are separate
issues here. Obviously, benching Ken Walker and being an inactive participant is one thing. That's
to just say this person should not be invited back next year because they don't care.
The fact that the commissioner understands that this person is being an inactive manager and
taking advantage of it when he has the sole veto power, that's what's the issue here. I think you
have to veto the trade. You have to veto it, right? No good. No good. Sorry, sir.
And you also have to either make a decision that if you're going to be the commissioner,
you can't basically violate what's, you know, a code of ethics here. Yeah. And I
think, I think the commissioner having veto power is fine. But what if the commissioner makes a
trade? Should the rest of the league be able to vote on just that commissioner's trade? I think
it's a question worth having with you. Oh, it's a question worth having with you because it's the
commissioner. Yeah. There's no recourse for anyone else. I from Wes. Hello, bogus trade proposed to
someone unsuspecting by the commissioner of our league. 12 team PPR Superflex League, our commissioner
completed a trade to another person in the league that clearly does not understand fantasy football.
When we called it out and went to veto it, the commissioner told us that we are not allowed to
veto trades and quote, get over it and stop crying. And then after some protests from myself and a few
others, he threatened to throw us out of the league. And he also attached some, some screenshots and
stuff that I'll read. The commissioner was giving up Omarian Hampton and Dalton Schultz and getting
Brock Bowers.
I understand vetoing shouldn't be a thing, but if the commissioner is going to propose trades like
this to an inexperienced manager and tell us to get over it and threaten us with expulsion for
calling it out, I think it merits a take from the fantasy cops. The commissioner begged me to join
the league and I did it as a favor to him because he needed help filling spots. I brought in a buddy
of mine who I've been doing leagues with for over a decade. And now there's all this drama and I
can't stand it. At least the guy I brought in understands. I think I'm just embarrassed and
angry and angry with myself. I went against my better judgment, I guess, in joining the league.
Now, let me see if I can find this is where I have trouble because I don't find this trade to be
vetoable for a multitude of reasons. One, we just don't know for sure that Brock Bowers is going to
be a better bet than those two down the line. At least there's some value to this. There's some
idea and logic behind the trade with Hampton originally expecting to be a high producer at
a more important position. And Brock Bowers having, there's something to that. You're being such a
the 10th round pick and meaningless in more quarterback leagues. Meaningless. Barely going to
outscore Stafford if he's lucky. Ken Walker is a difference making player. Brock Bowers could be a
difference making player. Ken Walker is one of the league winners right now, without a damn doubt in
fantasy football. I am just wondering what fantasy football you're playing right now. But more important
than that. More important than that. I mean, Joe, wait, no, no, no. This is insane. Joe Burrow is
currently outscoring Matthew Stafford by 17 fantasy points. And he was. Total? Yes.
Over four weeks? Yes. Oh, so that means it's what's going to happen moving forward. Matthew
Stafford had 47 touchdowns last year. You're so right. This isn't last year. Well, I think where
you're wrong is the value for Burrow going into the season. Burrow was the top five quarterback.
I know, but in a one quarterback league, that's nothing. It's an eighth
to 10th round pick. No, it's not. He was not going in the eighth to 10th round. He's going in the
fifth round. Maybe six. You can't use the draft value and be wrong about it. We'll go through.
Jamie organized about 20 to 30 drafts that we went in, that we were both in at him. I will look back.
Yeah, but there's thousands of drafts that are more relevant to the question. Oh my God. You're
so wrong. There's thousands of drafts that are more relevant to the question. But that's not
important. My point here is as to why you can't veto this is you can't veto it because you think
a manager's inexperienced. You can veto it if a manager's not setting his lineup and clearly not
playing fantasy football. This I agree with. Like the last one. This is the main point here. The
last one, the manager wasn't playing his lineup. He had Walker in the bench. He's not playing
fantasy. That's unfair. This guy is just inexperienced. You can't veto trades due to
every man.
unfortunately this is how fantasy goes it's kind of like poker you got to play it to get better at
it or something like that like it's not up to you to be the judge and juror of like what like that
person has to learn through experience yes yes yes i agree with you you're wrong about the burrow
thing but i do agree with you on this jamie what are you gonna say anyone anyone who thinks the
side of burrow and what was the the other no i didn't think that you schmuck i was saying that
you don't know when joe burrow was drafted you don't get it but yeah go ahead jamie correct
correct all right we're all in agreement dan's wrong on joe burrow's draft value
adam is wrong no adam was not wrong on anything adam's wrong on uh i think i think the biggest
thing with this is that the the commissioner's reaction to the league's reaction is is poor
the trade should not be vetoed i have to read i have to read you the the quotes here so this is
the commissioner going to the guy who wrote us i don't appreciate you making me out like i'm
cheating or something
because i didn't cheat you a bleeping bleep hole and i'm half tempted to just remove you
two troublemakers and then it just went on and on then there's he shows me the the group chat
um you a cry baby or you're a cry baby boo bleeping who horse bleep trade i mean this got
really this never i have never once been in a fantasy league where something like this has
happened no usually when you just screw up we just talk behind your back but um yeah like i love this
is so funny my league is so funny
i think the problem is that people aren't taking it seriously it it always is going to seem shady
when the commissioner takes advantage of the inexperienced player because the commissioner
is the one in in theory that knows that person where some other people in the league like in
this scenario this scenario does not and so this trade is not egregious it it it's it's not great
but it's not egregious so you can't veto it but it just uh it's just the reaction is bad
yeah i always feel bad when the people who wrote in are wrong but i think unfortunately that was
the situation here now here's one from shane good morning eric kelso and fez that is the
seven that 70 show it is a trade in my work league went down that we're all upset about
it's a 14 team league the bottom of eric vibes to you as people told you that before adam what
you have eric vibes big big time eric vibes well you're never going to see me sitting in one of
those circles having those conversations besides that yeah uh the bottom team in the league is
decided to make some trades yesterday he traded saquon barkley and kirk cousins barkley and cousins
in return he received justin herbert and brian robinson jr when asked about this he said quote
you just have to trust the process projections projections are just numbers what we don't think
that the guy he traded these players to was involved in any collusion he's a good dude
but the rest of the league is upset about this trade and as a team that's already good just get
cousins and barkley
for herbert and brian robinson jr i asked the commissioner to hold a vote on the trade it
doesn't appear that he's willing to hold a vote what should be done about this trade it creates
such an unfair advantage in the league the trade goes through the trade goes through again this is
not collusion unless you suspect a collusion it's your fault for not going to this manager earlier
this trade goes through yeah i guess so because last year let me give you an example one of my
leagues had a huge blow up in the middle of this or toward the end of the season there was a big
trade to a team that just had no running backs and he was competing for the playoffs he ended
the league this guy and he had no running backs he's starting like nothing like he's getting one
to two points and he traded george pickens for jacoski merit last year toward the end of the
year league went nuts right at the trade deadline everyone's screaming it's a huge blow up in the
chat people want veto then there's this whole thing i was on the side of no veto no matter
what even though i didn't want the team that was getting pickens for crosky merit to get pickens
because that helps that team and i was competing that right there in my car but i still felt like
that's not fair the guy needed a running back he believes in bill anyway he ends up winning the
because bill goes off in the postseason and wins in the league and pickens does nothing down the
stretch and it's like we just can't predict it that well if it's egregious yes but like this
is not egregious enough like barkley's hurt for a little while and this guy wants some stats now
the guy was trading for rob robinson uh maybe he believes her work about i don't know we just
you can't just if there's no like if there's no collusion or there's no somebody's not putting
ken walker in their lineup for three weeks you can't veto in my mind someone in the chat jamie
i'm trying to find it uh terry mcclellan actually showed up at practice today so something to keep
an eye on there okay and no barkley again i think we said that right yeah he's not playing i think
no davante smith too i saw earlier um and uh the guy when the gridiron guru says we already know
you sit in those circles just look at that eye sir all right we got a bonus fantasy cops here
not necessarily a problem we have to solve but okay
uh it's a it's a problem we have to solve but okay uh it's a it's a problem we have to solve but okay
uh it's a it's a funny email and it's from norm the candy man that's his team name candy man i
discovered fantasy football today late last season my commute to and from work is about 1.5 hours so
i've been listening every day this year since the nfl draft the new show reality versus fantasy with
scott turner is amazing i'm the commissioner of our work league and i seem to now have a distinct
advantage when it comes to knowledge of fantasy football thanks to all of you my dilemma is this
as mentioned i've promoted your show to many friends but i've not shared my other league
managers that my fantasy football knowledge is due to listening to your shows every day
they've made some real bonehead moves that i've been able to take advantage of
on one hand i want to tell them but this would quickly take my advantage away i've even
considered changing my team name to uncle jim's other team just to see if anyone responds and
mentions fft is it wrong to not share this information with my other league members do i
tell them they can improve their fantasy teams if they start listening to your show or do i keep it
to myself and continue to take advantage of the knowledge i've gained thanks to fft i'm just
going to take a quick and swift company line here and say yes it is selfish tell everyone about the
show tell them to like the show the minute they click on it immediately i want their brain thinking
i gotta click like because that's the thing you gotta get people thinking like the minute they
click the video and then comments both before during and after the show a subscribe button
and there's a new hype button on youtube that we'd like you to hit as well there's a hype i didn't
even realize yeah you gotta you can hype shows and you can get them hyped up into the sports
category oh that's cool i'm gonna do that right now uh it's there no you can keep the secret if
you want but uh no yeah why adam what are you talking about dude tell everyone i'm glad you'll
still do well even if people know you'll still do well that's true if you're a competitor
you want everybody to be competing on the same level
how do i hype this you you after the show you can click hype after yeah okay um all right thank you
for your fantasy cops questions we appreciate it let's go to uh apple podcast questions here
on fantasy football today grade the trade from germ talk half ppr i traded tootin and garrett
wilson for puka and travis achan so basically for puka at this point why each one's coming back at
some point
at some point hopefully so it's tootin and garrett wilson for puka and travis achan in half ppr now we
got twitter docs scaring me about puka but no i don't know what to do with that i really like
tootin moving forward but not enough to not like this trade i think it's a good trade
you take the puka side yeah you're getting i just think there's like eight to six eight to
twelve defining players every season in fantasy that that go to the playoffs and win you the
championships and puka's likely one of them as long as he stays healthy all right yeah but you
got two starters that are pretty good and we have a new we have a new dan bet coming up does he know
does he know this reference okay don't don't say anything dan dear zach kelly jesse and lisa
i do but only because like i'm lucky like i shouldn't know that saved by the bell right
i mean i just said jamie we have a dan bet coming up don't say anything dan yeah i mean come on
yeah yeah i think the problem was i didn't want i just wanted to be so i was so proud of myself in
my head in the moment that i knew it that i just had to blurt it out that was a mistake
would you what would you have guessed i would have guessed no i would have been wrong
yeah mrs it makes no sense that i know and only mrs riley the best scene by far on that that i've
seen i've just seen like clips throughout twitter is when um she's like what happened she took like
yeah she took the caffeine pills caffeine pills that's so good i'm so excited yeah i'm so scared
as a total crash out with caffeine pills unreal moment uh yeah people tell me that i sound like
the guy who sings zach morris is trash i don't know what that is so zach morris is trash is like
a web series devoted to how every episode of saved by the bell zach morris just something
horrible he's such a piece of crap bad person it's yeah he's terrible
it's like the daniel larusso thing in karate kid where he's basically responsible for all
the bad things that happen anyway all right t higgins not stretching jamar chases okay is he
said yeah t higgins is not stretching which means he's probably not going to play and jamar chase
is still in the concussion protocol but is going through what's most likely going to practice good
i'm about to trade neighbors kincaid menongai and boston neighbors kincaid menongai and boston
the lave jacory krosky merit kalon black and the chief's dst he also has just a lot of a
yeah he also has gibbs swift and dowdle and golden burden he needs receivers
he's giving up you're giving one to get one neighbors kincaid menongai and boston for a
Olave, Bill, and Black.
The thing I don't understand is if you need receivers.
Well, he didn't say that,
but he has Golden, Burden, Tyreek, and Tyson.
I mean, you're getting the best player.
So, essentially, is Olave worth all of that?
Neighbors, Kincaid, and. He also has Bowers.
So, he doesn't need Kincaid.
You're really consolidating here.
You're giving up your depth,
but you're going to have Olave, Bowers, Gibbs, and Swift,
and Golden.
That's really good.
My only concern is, and it's slight,
is what happens to Olave when Tyson returns.
That's possible.
I'm not that concerned about that.
My other concern is Neighbors could be really good.
He looked really good last game.
So, I don't know for sure
how much of an upgrade Olave is to Neighbors.
I think it's a huge upgrade.
But I, personally, I mean. And Menongai is a player when healthy.
He's got Swift.
When you have Swift and you give up Menongai,
that's a huge. That's a huge risk you're taking there.
Yeah, I wouldn't do it.
I think I wouldn't do it, I guess.
If I can get Menongai out of that,
like, just do Neighbors and. If you really want Olave,
I think Neighbors and Kincaid is worth it.
I would even throw Boston in there.
Sure.
Yeah, that's fine.
He's not going to use it.
If that gets it done.
I think we have a few more Apple podcasts.
Interesting trade.
I'm in a league where we have had,
where he have two, excuse me,
we have two flex positions, PPR.
I had the luxury of drafting Tucker Craft
and Juwan Johnson.
Okay.
Do I, I guess, like,
he wants to know, like,
is it fine to start both tight ends,
one as a flex?
Craft and Juwan.
I'm sorry, I was looking up news.
What?
Is it fine to start both tight ends,
Juwan and Craft?
This week?
Yeah, it's not a great week to do it.
It's not a good week for it,
but it's fine in general.
He doesn't have it.
He doesn't tell me the other options.
I would say, generally speaking,
I am finding that I have plenty of teams
where I am fine starting a tight end
as one of my flexes.
Because I do have some two flex leagues.
Like, that's fine.
I wouldn't even,
I wouldn't even use the word fine.
I would use the word,
it's necessary at this point
to be starting some tight ends and flex spots.
Todd Bowles said that
they're going to check out Baker Mayfield's thumb,
but the plan is to start Jalen Daniels next week.
Okay.
This is from Alan in Boston.
He says,
Hi, Tony, Drew, Tom, and Drake.
Tony.
Yeah, it's very easy.
Yeah, these are,
Patriots quarterbacks.
Yeah.
Terry McCorn at practice.
Stephon Diggs is not.
Ooh, wow.
Weird.
That was unexpected.
I have Bijan and JSN,
but the rest of my team is underwhelming.
Burden, J-Mo, and Loveland are killing me.
If you were going to trade Bijan or JSN,
who would you trade?
And what's fair value?
I'm not going to trade Bijan or JSN.
Is it Dynasty League?
It's a keeper league.
He can only keep one of them.
But you still want to win.
Or did he say his team is doing bad?
Yeah, I think with Burden, J-Mo, and Loveland,
I mean, I feel like you could win with Bijan and JSN.
Of course you can.
And look, J-Mo just had a great week last week.
Loveland had a productive week last week.
It's too early in the season to be giving up.
Yeah.
And he's 2-2.
Don't give up.
Yeah, you're fine.
We have a comment, a one-star comment.
The subject line was. You're reading a one-star on here?
It's funny.
The subject line was,
Le-who?
And then the text was,
Ze-hers.
But screw you.
Oh, you bastard.
Ze-hers, losers.
Yeah, no, no, no.
Screw you.
Don't ever read another one-star on this podcast while I'm on.
Thank you for the five-star comments.
Very much.
Don Tavian Wicks is at practice.
Okay.
Thank you very much for those.
Let me get to your Spotify questions.
Comments, rather.
And questions.
We have a bunch of them.
Here we go.
From Gabe.
Dear Elliot, Tyrell, and Darlene.
Elliot, Tyrell, and Darlene.
No idea.
Tyrell Lannister.
Nope.
That's not his name.
Obviously, it's not that.
No, there is a Tyrell Lannister within that Lannister.
Tywin.
Tywin.
No, I wasn't talking about Tywin.
There's also a Tyrell Lannister.
Yes.
I don't think so.
Look into the history.
Type it into Google.
You'll find it.
There's a Tyrell on Game of Thrones, I think,
but it's not a Lannister.
There is a Tyrell on Game of Thrones,
but we're talking about someone else.
I think it's like Lady Tyrell.
Malik Washington, Keaton Mitchell.
I think I might be wrong about this.
You're definitely wrong.
Pick one.
No wait.
No wait.
Buddy, you're wrong.
Let me read this question.
Malik Washington, Keaton Mitchell, Casey Concepcion,
or Kalief Raymond, PPR?
Need one?
Yeah.
Washington is the safest.
Mitchell has the highest zone.
Start one.
Judkins, Emanuel Wilson, Aaron Jones.
Jones.
Judkins, Wilson, Jones?
Yeah.
Jones is the highest rank for me, too.
I traded Alec Pierce in a Dynasty League.
I'm in win-now mode.
I traded Alec.
I traded Alec Pierce in a late 27 second and a late 28 first and a late 29 first.
You think it's late.
For Chris Olave and Tyreek Hill.
So, Alec Pierce plus two firsts and a second for Olave and Tyreek Hill,
trying to win a Dynasty League.
A little bit of an overpay, but you're getting Olave, which is great.
What was it again?
Sorry.
That's okay.
We're moving on.
Alec Pierce and two firsts for Olave, essentially.
Okay.
Puka and Mike Washington for Kyron and Devontae Adams.
Puka and Mike Washington for Devontae and Kyron.
A lot of Rams.
B.
Yeah.
As long as Mike Washington, as long as Ashton Gentry doesn't get hurt, I think it's fine.
If he gets hurt, you're going to regret it.
Ethan says,
I have Purdy, Brown, Hubbard, blah, blah, blah.
Kincaid.
I'm currently trying to iron out Kincaid and McLaurin for whatever their value is.
Any tips moving into week five?
I don't know what he means.
McLaurin has no trade value at this time.
You have to wait for a few weeks with Jaden.
And then Kincaid, probably not a good time to trade him either after two bad weeks.
Lucas wants to know, what do we do with Parker Washington?
Keep.
Hold.
He's good.
Start him.
He had one bad week.
It's fine.
Kind of had two bad weeks.
I mean, caught a touchdown two weeks ago.
Last week, like I said, he got shadowed.
Uh, by DJ Turner, top cornerback for Cincinnati.
That was only when he was outside, not when he was in the slot.
Rest of season.
Joshua wants to know, Adam, I Mitchell or Keenan Allen.
Okay.
Now PPR, Keenan Allen, um, T Higgins and Jamar chase.
We're going through red zone work.
All right.
We'll see what happens there.
We're getting live updates from Jamie.
That's good.
I like it.
And now it's time for your questions.
We got three or four minutes here.
Yes.
Uh, we know who Mike Ditka is.
Who doesn't know who Mike Dick is.
Come on.
Duh, bears.
Young people may not know, but I'm not young.
Duh, bears.
Dare.
I say start to Concepcion, Roman Wilson, Tyler Algier, or Micah Siki.
Uh, for start, for starters, for me, I'm assuming this is PPR or some version of it.
Wilson for me.
Eric is Seki.
I get now Wilson.
Wilson and Gasecki.
If the, any of the Bengals receivers are out, I like Concepcion for sure.
This week, PPR, would you send Chuba Hubbard for a late 20, 27 second?
I just traded in Heath's league, my 20, 27 second, which I'm hoping should be late.
I made the finals last year and he's a dynasty.
We started last year for Chuba Hubbard.
So I did this exact trade.
Great trade.
Oh, that's why Matt's asking.
This is Matt Walters.
I did the trade with, Oh, let me tell you about this trade scenario, Adam.
You're going to like this.
Listen to this.
It's a big win for you.
Thank you.
But listen to this, Adam and Jamie.
I've been meaning to tell something, but glad we got to this.
Matt offers me a trade.
He says in the comments, I'm looking to trade Chuba to somebody who's competing and would want.
So he offers me Chuba Hubbard for a second.
I think what he wanted first was my second and my fourth.
So I look at that and I counter and I asked for like Debo Samuel or like some player that he can like add that he doesn't need an older player.
He counters to like, I want Debo.
And I'm going to give you Debo and Chuba and you have to now give me a two and two threes.
So hell no.
I think it was even a two twos and a three.
Hell no.
I said to that quick, quick, you know, deny, like we're in back constant force.
We're getting notifications quickly.
Deny that.
Then he pulls the two and four trade.
And now he offers me a new trade Chuba for my second and third.
I was disgusted with that.
The two and four was just up five minutes ago.
Quick deny.
And I send it back Chuba for two and I let it sit.
And then finally he came back and accepted it.
Okay.
I felt.
I felt like I won that battle because I was just like, are you kidding me to go for the
two and three after the two and four is your first ask?
I, okay.
I like that negotiation.
That's good.
Um, that's, I knew he wanted to give him up and I was one of, there's only a few teams
who could have given him a pick for Chuba.
Who wins Derek Henry and Devante Adams or Puka Nakua and Brees Hall?
Puka Hall.
Uh, I don't know about that.
Me either.
It's tough.
I'm going with Derek Henry Adams.
Those are the touchdowns.
Touchdown scores.
The old guys.
Touchdown scores.
Yeah.
Derek Henry is so fricking good in fantasy.
Yeah.
Cause Puka thinks.
Every single day of every single year.
We just keep doubting him.
And so is Puka.
But like, I would prefer the other side of that over Brees Hall who's already injured.
I just want to tell you real quick.
Um, Devante Adams, his target per out run rate.
Oh, let's go with his target share.
Target share in two games with Puka Nakua, 22%, 18%.
Two games without him, 33%, 26.5%.
but the touchdowns are going to come
they always do for him
Grade the trade in non-PPR, Swift and Higgins for Puka.
Non-PPR?
I think you won that, getting Puka.
Higgins is a touchdown guy, though.
Yeah, which is good.
Even better for non-PPR, but Higgins is already hurt.
This is a classic Higgins start to get hurt potential season.
Would you trade Devontae Smith for Jeremiah Love in PPR?
I'd rather have. That's interesting.
I think I'd rather have Love.
Keon Coleman, if DJ Moore is out.
You're going to get crushed in that bet, by the way, Adam.
Crushed.
Thanks, bud.
Keon Coleman. You've got the Eagles collapsing team.
What are you expecting now?
I appreciate it.
Keon Coleman. Do you have an injury out, though?
You have an injury out, right?
I thought it was if Smith doesn't play enough games or something, you're good.
I don't know.
Heath bullied me into accepting his terms.
Oh, you have Heath bullied accepted terms?
Yeah.
Keith is a bully, according to the. For God's sake, Keon Coleman, if Moore is out,
or Antonio Williams, if McLaurin or James is out.
Well, it sounds like Diggs is going to be out,
so if McLaurin's also out, I'll take Williams.
Taking Keon Coleman here, no matter what.
Carnell Tate or Harold Fannin Jr.?
It's interesting, because you seem to be the only one
that shares my optimism for Keon Coleman.
Dave and Heath do not.
I definitely have optimism.
Based on watching him play, he looked good,
and he looks more confident,
and most importantly, they're not just isolating him in one role.
They're letting him move around.
I have some confidence.
I think Dave's issue with him is that he's afraid McDuffie's going to be on him.
Well, he also keeps representing him.
Yeah, if they put him in one spot,
he's going to be bad.
He also keeps referencing the disappearing act
that he's done in his career, which is true.
That's true, yeah.
I just look at, there's two games that DJ Moore has missed,
and now the new version of Joe Brady's offense,
and Keon Coleman's been awesome in those two games.
Right, and he's used differently.
That's the most important part, I think.
All right, Carnell Tate or Harold Fannin Jr.?
Caleb Douglas is unlikely to play.
Tate, if he plays.
I know he was injured with a back injury.
I don't know where he's at with that.
Tate.
But Tate is great.
Waddle, Jamo, or Michael Wilson?
Pick two.
Wilson and Waddle.
Waddle.
Oh, man.
I guess so.
Yeah, I guess so.
Definitely.
I like all three.
It's a tough call.
Tate, Harvey, or Jawan Johnson?
Pick one.
Tate.
Yeah.
Even against the Texans.
Tate's legit, man.
And they moved him around last week, too,
so he's not just lining up on the outside.
He had some slot snaps,
which that's how you beat the Texans, right?
The Cowboys showed that.
You get your receiver inside.
You can't have them outside against those corners.
Charbonnet, Keaton Mitchell, Kalen Black, or Braylon Allen.
Who's the best RB2 dart throw?
I mean, it can't be for this week
because Charbonnet's not playing.
I think he means for this week, for a season,
and it's Charbonnet by far.
Yep.
Sit one.
Garrett Wilson, Parker Washington, Malik Neighbors, Devontae Adams.
Wow, that's tough.
You've got a sick receiver core here.
I'm sitting Wilson.
It's either Wilson or Adams for me to sit,
and I'm going to sit at Wilson.
If the weather's really bad in New York,
maybe I'll sit Neighbors.
In Washington, but yeah.
In Washington, yeah, my bad.
Yeah.
But then again, it could be really bad in New York, too.
That's where Garrett Wilson is.
Then we sit Garrett Wilson.
There we go.

FAQs
The reviewer finds the movie nostalgic and entertaining, especially for its 1970s vibes and iconic scenes. They highlight the emotional depth of the final fight and Adrian's character, though they rate it a 7.2, not better than the original 'Rocky' film.
The trade is considered a bad idea by the hosts. They recommend holding onto Justin Jefferson due to his high target share and consistent performance, rather than trading him for Michael Wilson.
The hosts agree that starting two tight ends as flexes is generally fine, especially in PPR leagues. However, they note it's riskier in a weak week and suggest it's often necessary for teams with limited options.
The commissioner made a trade with a manager who had Kenneth Walker on the bench for weeks, which the hosts consider unfair. They argue that such a situation should be vetoed to uphold league ethics and ensure fair competition.
The hosts discuss a 'second-price auction' model where the highest bidder wins but pays the second-highest bid. This could save money and improve player value, though it's seen as risky due to potential over-spending.
The hosts suggest prioritizing safer players with strong matchups and less weather dependency. For example, they recommend Michael Wilson and Garrett Wilson over riskier options in bad weather scenarios.
