80m 2s
The Cover 3 Podcast features a lively, expert-driven discussion on college football betting strategies, with hosts Bud Elliott, Danny Canal, and Tom analyzing games for potential "lock" picks. They focus on key matchups like Virginia Tech vs. Pittsburgh, Alabama vs. Mississippi State, and Ohio State vs. Iowa, where first-half under totals, defensive strength, and team momentum are emphasized. The hosts stress the importance of using real-time data, adjusting to in-game developments, and leveraging multiple betting screens to find optimal lines. They highlight how weather, injuries, and team performance trends—such as defensive improvements or offensive inefficiencies—can influence outcomes. A recurring theme is collaboration, with frequent mentions of lock agreements between analysts, adding to the show’s engaging, community-driven tone. Despite varied opinions, the discussion consistently underscores value in under/over bets, especially when teams are underperforming or facing tough defensive matchups. The podcast blends analytical insight with humor and personal commentary, reinforcing its role as a trusted, entertaining resource for fans and bettors alike. Numerous games are covered, from regional matchups to high-profile showdowns, with a particular focus on total points, first-half dynamics, and strategic edge over market expectations. The hosts also caution against overconfidence, advocating for adaptability and deeper research when making decisions. Ultimately, the episode serves as both a betting guide and a celebration of the strategic, unpredictable nature of college football.

Hey, Kate, hey, the Cover 3 tailgate where they are dropping their locks.
But they need to get the likes up.
You get the likes up.
We give you the locks and the locks.
Move the lines.
Which way?
Who knows?
I don't know.
Probably in our favor if you've been checking our latest recap.
Let's do that right now.
Look it back at the week that was in week four.
Bud Elliott.
Six and three week for you.
Four and O on your three star locks, I mean, just an absolute monster.
We don't, we use the word lock very loosely.
Obviously, but four and O start on the three star locks.
And that one was the first half under in Ole Miss Florida,
also cashed on the Utah Iowa State under the Penn State team total
under 28 and a half.
I mean, the offense only even got like what?
Two touchdowns in that game.
Yeah, even with a return score as well.
Anyway, Washington team total under 28 and a half.
Alabama first half team total over 17 and a half.
Missouri State plus 34 and a half.
The only losses were the over in Texas Tennessee.
The team total over for the Maryland Terps.
And then Hawaii minus three thoughts takeaways from week four.
Yeah, I lost the fighting in the club with Kins.
So that was, I was pretty disappointing.
I feel like any time they gave you Rocco back and a team total close to 30,
you got to take advantage of that and cash that in.
But it does feel good to cash a three star lock on a first half under
and a game that had 80 something points in it, right?
So that felt good there.
Maryland.
Oh, man, that was guys, we got to show back up and they did not.
So might be doing Maryland, but maybe not.
We'll see.
We as a pot.
I mean, you can go on on your own individual Maryland endeavors.
We have our plans to be a total pot are been scrapped.
Okay, because you know, like when you're a true Titan of industry,
you've got to be willing to pivot, right?
Pivoting is what you do when you have backed, backed losing weeks
and you roar back with the seven and two.
Let's go.
Let's talk about it for your boy.
The wins were Tennessee plus four and a half Florida first half team total
over 14 and a half Oregon minus three.
That was my three star Georgia minus 13 and a half.
That was my lock fight when you mass team total over 26 and a half.
Notre Dame Purdue over 57 and a half.
You'll hear our work there in UTSA minus 13 and a half took a loss
on the Liberty Coastal under 50 and a half.
And if you were sweating that with me.
Sorry, Alan was a that one was a tough one Thursday night last score
with about a minute left in the game that was decided.
It'd be like that sometimes.
And then Indiana fourth quarter minus three and a half.
Obviously they did not get the job done letting Northwestern back
into the game all the way to the end.
Seven and two for the week gets me closer to 500.
But still with those three stars.
A lot more work to be done one and three on my three stars.
Danny five and three week for you.
Love to see the wins on the board.
Florida minus three Oregon USC over 61 and a half.
LSU minus eight and a half.
Never a doubt.
Baylor minus nine and a half.
A lot of doubt.
Wisconsin Penn State under 45 were the winners.
The loss was Tennessee first quarter plus one and a half.
The lock fight loss on the Oklahoma plus 14 and then the Oklahoma Georgia under
a decade.
Congrats on the three star win.
How are we feeling?
Needed that one.
It was a little dicey DJ lagway.
Had a almost gave it up for us on that Colorado Baylor win.
But one day I will notice.
Point where you get your numbers matter.
Because earlier in the week on the top 25 show on Iowa Michigan.
I got under 39 and a half was a winner on this locks pod.
It had come down to 38 and a half.
That's where I thought it was and thanks to techs who found me live during the
show last week was like I can get you 39.
And I was like great.
I'll thank you.
It won't matter.
And I will take a push every single time over a loss.
So good job on techs who's running things.
There are fines the best lines for us out there.
So yeah, make sure you get the best number available if you can.
Yeah, if you're betting it just one book on the Thursday.
It's going to be tough.
You need to use an odd screen and you need to actually be able to get down multiple spots.
What does get down at multiple spots do like go to different places like parties.
Right.
Yes.
Exactly.
This spot might have to kill this spot might have better.
If you know what you want that day, you got to go find it.
You got to go find it.
Text for Nelly.
74 week for you.
The wins were Ole Miss Florida over 58 and a half.
Texas A&M LSU under 52 Oregon USC over 61 and a half.
Baylor minus nine and a half Mississippi State minus six.
Virginia Tech Boston College under 47 and a half.
Troy Utah State under 48 losses.
Iowa team total under 16 and a half Michigan State plus six.
Iowa State plus eight and a half and Tulsa plus seven and a half.
I was a bigger victim of that last second touchdown of Iowa than Michigan was.
I mean, if that hits, I mean, 74 is a good week but 83 with the three star lock.
I am currently plus units if that hits.
But you know what, we're going to get one of these three star locks one of these days.
I promise.
Hey, listen.
Hey, listen.
That was a good bet and you like you should fire that again.
I should have been a five star.
Like two of their three explosive plays were on tip balls.
They had a kickoff return touchdown.
That was a hell of a bet.
Sounds like you're describing the wonderful wrinkles of college football.
Yeah.
Let's go, let's go.
We got the guests last week producer pick gets back on the right side Oregon USC over.
That gets them there the dentist.
Three and oh week for the dentist.
Caching the first half unders in both Ole Miss Florida and LSU Texas A&M plus a little Auburn first half minus six and a half.
And we can see goes to and oh on the week with the Wyoming plus three and a half and Iowa plus five and a half.
Well, let's get all that out of here.
Let's get our eyes ahead to week five.
Well, I ask you gentlemen.
You all ready to lock it up?
Yes sir.
Since 2005 the under the games between services.
It's 40 dash nine and one.
Get me an over and this one as well.
A little two for one special.
I was sick of last week y'all were watching good games.
I was live bed in hell at UL and my blue plate special five star locks are coming.
Five star master lock lock it.
I love these locks.
I'm living and dying every point every couple.
From the locking chair to your eyes and ears.
We get started as always with our week night selections.
A reminder that if you would like to catch the Saturday portion on CBS Sports HQ.
They have been replaying this wonderful locks episode that you're watching live at youtube.com/cover3 on CBS Sports HQ.
And I think it's in the 10 a.m. hour and it is the best way for you to be able to just like set the table.
Even if you've watched this you know you would rather have that on the screen talking about these games.
Then necessarily you know whatever else is out there.
Then of course at 11 a.m. you want to switch it over to college football pregame over on CBS Sports HQ.
Okay Thursday night the western Kentucky New Mexico state.
Anyone got a lock.
Not a lock. I'll probably play a little bit of a mexico state but definitely not a lock.
Okay. Can I ask you is it a continued like a continued judgment of western Kentucky not matching preseason expectations or the numbers.
That is correct. Yeah. They do not seem to have very many players on events who should be at this level.
That's one way to put it. I sometimes I just say the number right.
You know like you just it's very clear that this western Kentucky team has not lived up to expectations.
So maybe a little New Mexico state from Bud no lock from me. Anybody out in the leans.
Take that one out. All right. Let's move on to Friday.
Oh yeah. Also Thursday night in North Texas Tulsa. Oh fun game.
Fun game in the American. Given trade lamps strokes. I'm not I'm not locking it up but.
At home too. I know. I'm just saying. You can you can get the golden hurricane as a as a slight dog you know plus 100 on the money line even in some places plus one and a half on the spread.
And certainly to to be able to keep it down. This is a dangerous game for sleep right because this like this is a nine o'clock tip off.
It's not a clock kick. It's like just decent enough to watch right like it's probably going to be close in a second half.
They're going to score 90 points you know like not really but like it's it's possible.
And then all of a sudden you look up and it's it's 130 in the morning like damn it like.
I just I just got three hours.
sleep on North Texas Tulsa like why I love this sport. Yeah. Exactly. You great call
there. I did Friday night. We mentioned this one on big game breakdown. I'll say selfishly
one of my favorite games of the entire week five slate. The quality of the teams, the
intrigue of of coaches Virginia Tech against Pittsburgh will be in Lane Stadium, you know,
on a Friday night big big spotlight there, three points in favor, maybe three and a half
in favor of the Hokies total sitting around 54 and a half. Anybody got a lot? I do.
Well, let's go. You first, bud. All right. And we will make this our cover three star lock
of the week. Wow. We're going over 54 and a half. I think both these quarterbacks are
really good. I do think that a grant buyer can solve for this our Newsy defense a little
bit, hit some explosive plays. I think that pit will score on the Hokies as well. And
if you look at this, both of these teams have played a game so far this year that has been
like unpassible due to rain, right? Like you had pit UCF where they had to have like the
drone camera or like the stationary cam broadcast, the majority of that ballgame. And in this
past weekend, Boston College against the Hokies, the same thing. So I think they're scoring
has been a little bit suppressed by weather. I made this 57 and a half. So I'd like to
me that that's a really strong play to still be there this late in the week. So I'm going
to go over. I like I'm taking pit plus three and a half. I just I think a lot of people
are on that dude. Yeah. Yeah. I liked it more when it was at five, five and a half. It's
good. But as long as it's still on this side of three, I will take it if I can get that
up. So yeah, give me the panthers plus three and a half. I think it's going to be a very
good game. I'm really looking forward to watching it. I think they're very evenly matched
teams. And I do think that, you know, pit, I just, Hainchill has not played well in their
two games so far against P 14, but one of those was a weather game. One of those was just
a bad game. I do like what they have in offense. I think they're going to be able to make
this kind of a track meet like you're looking forward to. And I think they'll be able
to keep it close. Also, like, Q says a better D line than the Hokies do. Oh, I don't know,
man. I think Q has got a couple guys who are going to play the league. Okay. We're about
total defensive front, backers, variance, X better. I'm just saying like I think Hainchill
is going to get time to throw the ball. Oh, Danny got it. I got I got to do so we haven't
had many fights this year. And I mean, I'm going to insult it because maybe I'm the dummy
over here. I'll go ahead and take Virginia Tech at home. And now, can I get three on this
one? So potentially, you know, there's a lot better out there. There are two halves out
there. Let's smash that two and a half. Fight. Fight. Fight. Smash that. Smash the fight
button. And maybe we can middle this. Maybe we'll just get a three point game here. And
then we both can be happy, which I do think it will be close. But you mentioned Mason,
Hainchill being pretty comfortably hasn't played against good pressure. Now Virginia Tech
had seven sacks last week. So the number's a little bit skewed. That was against old dominion.
But I think crowd noise at lane first, you know, big home opener ACC game for Virginia
Tech. I think people too might look at the Boston College game and say, well, and you
can do the same thing with pit against UCF. I think both of these teams are way better.
I think this is a top 25 matchup going to go toe to toe, which again, these teams both
got screwed. But I think Virginia Tech gets it done at home. But it's like a heritage top
25 matchup because when I watch ESPN classic and I go see an old, you know, pit Virginia
Tech game, you know what their rankings are 19 and 24. Like, that's, like, this was exactly.
So yeah, sure, they are of the same quality of some of those teams that are currently in
the ranking. So yeah, it's a good old fashioned, biggest weeknight throwdown. It's awesome.
But wait, for those of you at home, minus three and a half plus one 30 is a better wager
than a minus two and a half juiced. So like if you're, yeah, some of those are propping
for sure. Oh my gosh, 14 minutes in. I hesitate to ask this, but what's the math on that?
So like you got to figure out like based on the total, like how much is each half point
worth? Right? Like I'd rather bet like minus 22 on is it because the totals higher that
they're for it. Okay. Yeah. Those points are more valuable with a lower total. That's
correct. Interesting. Learn something Thursday. Let's go. Okay. Also on Friday night, Liberty.
We mentioned already earlier in the show. They're on the road to go and play Delaware and
oh, oh, oh, Penn State closing at no, first new game. We've already close. Oh, first new game
in the new building. Penn State, real and on the road against a Northwestern team that
was risky. Any of any other Friday night locks? Yeah, I got him. Go ahead, bud. We're going
to go Northwestern team total under 22 and a half. I think Northwestern kind of emptied
the clip a little bit last week. It was that new stuff. It's been on film. Penn State
can see it. I got no faith in Penn State's offense with with with with QB, but I do think
that Matt Campbell will come ready to defend this Northwestern offense. I think it's a low
scoring game also lean under, but do like the the Wildcat team total under slightly more.
Danny, give me Northwestern home and open our new stadium. There are there are some concerning
vibes in Penn State with the lack of losing to Wisconsin going through the tunnel, getting
chewed out by your own fans. People already panicking of Matt Campbell is the guy or not. Don't
forget Northwestern. What they did against Indiana. We all watched that was much closer
than we thought. I think the Colorado game was really impressive. Like when you think about
beating anybody at the power for level 41 to 7 is pretty impressive. David Braun. I think
he's got this team believing they can win this game. And all you have to do is show him
that Wisconsin did it last week and their own house. I think a child is playing really
good. I thought a child outplayed Josh Hoover last week. I think he's the better quarterback
in this match up. I think it will be a lower score on game two, but give me Northwestern.
And I think Chip Kelly might have a few more tricks up his sleeve. I've been setting
some things up to point out this place better for Bud than it does you, Danny, but Northwestern
Tyda and Luke Danicky, who is their second leading receiver, is doubtful. He got banged
up in that game against Indiana, right? Yeah, a couple great. Yeah. Tom, do you have
a play here? I might later. Love to hear that. Anything else, anything else from Friday
before we hit a break and then get to the Saturday site. Coming up on the other side,
we turn our attention to week five Saturday with our very best bets and more. Next. Back
here on the cover three podcast as our week five locks rose along and we turn our attention
to Saturday's slate. Let's start with a couple of the headliners and in Starkville in
the noon slate. We got Mississippi State, Camario Taylor playing host to Alabama, one of
the games of the week in the Southeastern Conference. Alabama finds itself as road favorites
about five and a half points, totals sitting around 60, 60 and a half. Who's got a lock?
Go. Yeah. Alabama. What? Not all at once, guys. Oh, yeah. Alabama overs. I don't know,
man. It might just be a system play at this point. I mean, it's just they, if I have respect
for Camario Taylor's ability to compete in this game and give Mississippi State a fight
and chance, if I'm going to try to imagine the kind of game that involves the cover, not
being in doubt, but something that's going to have that kind of margin, it's going to be
one that's going to be a little bit higher scoring. Alabama on the season has been a very
profitable over team and while the over is technically two and two for Mississippi State,
our over margin per game is I think top 15 in the country. So I think that this is one
where I'm not going to overthink it or get too deep into the chip politics. I just see
two awesome quarterbacks and two teams that have been apart of some high scoring affairs.
So I'll take it at the best number I can get 60. 60. Yeah. I'll go. Alabama Mississippi
State over 60. No, I'm not going to do it. It's not really lock level. What is it?
We'll just tell us. I mean, I lean, Bam and I lean under. Yeah, but I don't think it's
like, you know, a no doubt or I'll go, give me first half under 30 and a half. I mentioned
the other day, the early start, 11 a.m. local. I always think they're a little bit sluggish,
but I also think both these quarterbacks have kind of struggled in the first half. If you
look at some of their games, whether it was Keelan Russell versus Kentucky or versus
Florida State took him a little bit to get settled in. Camario, when he was at South Carolina,
he got it off a little bit sluggish. You know, I think it takes these young quarterbacks
a little bit time to settle into the game. And I think both defenses are going to have
plans to really contain what they can do. I think the game could get loose later, but
I think early, I think it'll be a little bit of a sluggish start. So I like first half
under. Tom, any lean here? I lean Alabama minus five and a half if you can get it.
Just take it and don't look back. Better team. Not like that, but I will. Yep. Yeah.
the the it is it seems to be a Mississippi state upset is unlikely if it's low scoring that feels
not the way that that script would play out. Is that the way that you would see it?
I mean, I think Mississippi state would probably prefer it's more shoot-out-y, but I also have
questions of whether Mississippi state could keep up with Alabama if it goes shoot-out-y.
Might not have a choice, you know? No, they might they probably won't. Yeah, if the other
team's out there scoring, you got to figure out ways to keep up. Okay, yes. We didn't need a little
dental work here. Let's go. All right, I've been riding the Mississippi state train perfectly
so far this season, but all good things must come to an end. Bothwell looked pretty banged up at the
end of that Missouri game, and I think we'll see a little reality check here on Saturday.
State would have covered this line exactly three times since the year 2000, and two of those
were in 2006, 2007. Alabama, absolutely, which was, Bama's like really bad years. Alabama owns
our absolute own state, and we have finally reached the state is too hyped to moment. I'm jumping
off the bandwagon, Bama minus five and a half, tooth emoji, lock emoji. Also, he's taking UGA minus
14 and a half in the first half, we're ready. Okay, a little ledger curve. Let it be noted.
Coming, coming for Barton's neck right there. Yeah, yeah, yeah, apologies to Barton, he said,
but they're going to have something for Curtis, apparently. I mean, it's going to be really
disappointing when he thinks that Barton's under the anesthesia and Barton's eyes pop open because
he's stronger than anesthesia, grabs the dentist by the lab code. He says, you son of a, you know,
that's, I'm just telling you, Dennis, this is what's coming to you. A lot of people in Tennessee
proving to be too strong for anesthesia these days. Absolutely. Also, in the noon slate, down in
Chapel Hill, we've got Notre Dame taken on the tar heels. Notre Dame heavy favorites here. Three
whole American touchdowns, even with a hook in some places, over under around 47 and a half or so,
who's got a luck? We first half under 24 and a half. I think that Notre Dame's, no, I think that
North Carolina's defense can do enough to cause some resistance early. We do not have a lot of faith
in this North Carolina offense, finding success. Maybe they are able to scheme some stuff open early
in this game, which could make the first half certainly more of a sweat, but I do fear what would
happen after half time when we're dealing with the total of 47 and a half if Notre Dame really
breaks loose that they would get close to flirting with that themselves. You know, we are seeing
Notre Dame's analysis is very much in flux right now, where we're waiting to see what they're
going to look like against quality competition. I don't know where North Carolina has a whole
stance, but their defensive line and the way that their defense has performed, I think is a good,
a good test for this Notre Dame team. So this pick of first half under 24 and a half is looking at
the North Carolina defense to get some stops early and then believe that the strongest,
like the strongest unit for Notre Dame in my eyes is the defense. I think CJ Carr does a lot to
elevate everybody else around him, which is a compliment to CJ Carr, but maybe that takes a little
bit to get warmed up before the ball starts rolling downhill. So I'll take first half under 24 and a
half in Chapel Hill. Don't hate the idea. Don't like the number. Yeah, that's yeah, I see what
you're doing there for sure. The last time they faced Patrino, it was not good for Bobby's
offense last year in Arkansas. Right. Anything else for for Notre Dame, North Carolina?
Oh, sir. Curious what number would you like 27? I would love 21 and a half.
What? I said first half under 24 and a half. Oh, I'm sorry. I don't know why I put 20 and a half.
Yeah, first half under 24 and a half. So 21, 3, 21, 3 gets me. Cool. I like it now. I'm not
gonna lock it up and take it. I was like, what would you be looking for 27? How are we getting to 27
on Notre Dame? I want, I'm looking for 25 and 5/8. That's right.
Those are these are the spreads we only get on my third quarter and fourth quarter sick of that.
That's the only place that that you're gonna be able to find something like that. Speaking of,
the Ohio State Buckeyes stepping into that big time spotlight. As they travel to
Phoenix Stadium to go take on the Iowa Hawkeyes, Danny Cannell, you are joining us as you prepare
to go. You'll be on scene with our friend Chris Hassel for CBS Sports HQ. That's very exciting.
Do you have a lock for us? I do. All right. Yeah. Let's go. You get first one. I will take the
under. What's my number? What? Because I have this yesterday. Is it the first half or full game?
No, full game. Best full game under is you want under 53 and a half for Iowa. Oh,
I'm sorry. Give me that one. I see. Yes, yes, I do. Yes, please. I see. I've been a half.
45 and a half. Yeah. 53 and a half. 53. I'm about 45 and a half. So I think this is a little bit of
protection. If, because we broke this game down yesterday, you guys seem to think that Ohio State
could run away with it. I kind of like Iowa with the number at home. They're tough to beat at home.
We talked about last year. I know that's a different team. But I do think under gives you a little
bit of protection from the blowout because if it does get ugly and Ohio State does dominate,
I think it could be 35 to seven, you know, something like that. But I don't, I don't know if
Ohio State's going to go up there and like almost cover this themselves. But I do think Iowa,
we've talked about it. They have an identity. Now it's becoming a verb. You got Iowa. We're just
trying to see if Ohio State gets Iowaed or not. But I do think that Phil Parker will have a plan
to contain Jeremiah Smith, what that looks like. It still could be two touchdowns as opposed
to four. But I want to see some of those other pieces deliver. I want to see if they can make
Julian saying uncomfortable. And I think Iowa can make this game interesting by keeping it lower
scoring. You know what, Danny, you and I, we're five and one unlock agreements so far this year.
You are. So it's too bad. We're fighting twice already because I'm going with the over.
Fight, fight, fight. I mean, it's, it's a bit of a zag, I guess, but Ohio State's defense. I've
been talking about it for the last two weeks now has not been great. Like they, they do look more
vulnerable than they typically have, particularly on the defensive line where they're not getting great
push. They're not doing a great job against the run. Now there's a ton of talent on that team and
there's good coaching. So I do expect that as the season goes along, they'll get some things
figured out. And hell, maybe they will this week on the flip side. I don't think Iowa's defense has
been nearly as good as we typically expect from Iowa. They had some great performances to start
the season, but Iowa State's offense has not exactly been lighting it up against anybody. Nor is
Northern Illinois or I think it was Northern Iowa as the other team they bought. Not very good teams.
But Michigan last week, I mentioned it was Bryce Underwood's best game of the season. They had two
receivers go over a hundred yards. If you can't stop Andrew Martian, J.J. Buchanan, I don't know
how you're going to stop Jeremiah Smith, especially with some of the injuries that I was dealing
with in the secondary. So I do believe Iowa will be able to move the ball a little bit in this game.
But even if they don't, how often do you get a total in an Ohio State game that's only 45 and a half?
Give me the over. Yeah. Go and lay it in half with Ohio State minus seven and a half. I think
they come out and smoke them. If you look at it like last week, I feel like Iowa is extremely
lucky to hit any of their explosive plays and they had to kick off for turn. That's awesome.
Good job. Not really something you can count on each week. I think Ohio State is very probably
the number one team in the country or close to it. I don't really have Iowa in the top 25 as far
as from a power rating standpoint. So I show an edge on Ohio State. I think they'll shut them down
from the first snap and score enough. All right. Like that. Anything else? They're good.
Then let's see, we got also in the 3 30 PM Eastern time slate. We got Florida,
Hendikomo taken on the Missouri Tigers. Who's got a lock?
Anybody else? Okay. Gator Dan. Gator Dan. Gator Dan. You know what you think about
Gator Dan is? What's that? He has a pretty good feel for what's going on out there. You know,
because I was a Tallahassee quarterback club and a couple of my buddies that listen to the show,
they were heartbroken at this Gator Dan moniker. But you know what Gator Dan? Gator Dan just has
a good feel for what the Gators are going to do. And you know what it is? It's time to sell some of
your Gator stock. Give me Mizzou and the five and a half points at home. I think this is one of
those ones where there are the overreaction plays and there's the how can this possibly be?
Because I think some people are like Missouri. Why isn't this over a touchdown? Why aren't they
a touchdown underdog? Missouri just lost to Mississippi State on the road. I think there is parity
inside the SEC, including with the Florida Gators. I think this is going to be a tough tricky game
for them. So gimme Missouri and the five and a half. Austin
Simmons. I think can catch some big plays. Boy, they got to get off the field against
Jaden ball, but Aaron Filo, another road game for him, another big test. Give me Missouri
in the five and a half. You know what, Danny? You and I were five and one. We're five
and one unlock, unlock agreements. Yeah. So let's make for a third freaking time. I'm
taking Florida. Yeah. Yeah. We don't really need to go over Missouri's track record against
these kind of games in the last two years, but it's not good. And I also I tweeted a stat
earlier this week. I don't know if you guys saw it, but Missouri's average touchdown drive
this season is 44 yards. They have 17 touchdown drives. Eleven of them have been 50 yards
or fewer. Only three of them have been of more than 70 yards. So like I'm not a huge believer
in the Florida defense. I do believe Austin Simmons and the miss and these receivers are
going to be able to move the ball and put up some points in this game. They're not going
to get blown out. I just haven't seen enough from this offense to think that they could
keep up. And I don't think Missouri's defense is going to be able to do much to stop Florida.
I don't think there are many defenses in the country that could do a whole lot to stop
this Florida team right now, the way they're playing on offense. So yeah, Gators minus four
and a half. Tom, what's it called in baseball? It's called the Mendoza line, right? Okay.
Let me tell you about the Missouri line. Okay, because under Eli Drinkwitz, Eli Drinkwitz
has still yet to get Missouri to a win against an SEC opponent that finishes with a winning
record in SEC play. So what do you think Florida is? Do you think Florida is a team that
finishes with a losing record in SEC play or a team that finishes with a winning record
in SEC play? Because if it's a team that finishes with a losing record in SEC play, then yeah,
man, this should be right there from Mendoza, Missouri. But if you think that Florida is
going to be a team that finishes with a winning record in SEC play, then this like this
could be a fun game and they still don't cover. Oh, speaking of cover, the Missouri Tigers
are one and three against the spread and one hundred and ninth nationally in cover margin.
They are missing their number by about 5.75 points per game. Yeah, Gator. I see ways that
I could be as entertained as I want to be by this game. And Florida still comes through
with a victory by touchdown. So I'm right there. I'm also taking Florida and laying these
points.
But to know why Missouri is going to win because I'm not just covered. They're going to
win because then you get, then you justify their top 25 ranks that they stay in and then
Florida can't drop out. So they got to keep as many top 25 teams as they can. No, they
said they say bet the name, not the number. Okay. I'm not betting the number 25. I'm
betting against the name at Missouri. It's a bit of a weird stat though, because like,
if you're bad enough to lose to Missouri, how are you expected to finish with a winning record
in the SEC? What do you mean? Like, if you're a team that's bad enough to actually lose
to Missouri. So you finished with the losing record. That's what that's the way the stat
is. He's Owen's 16. But I'm like, why can't he beat a team like what is it saying,
but it's saying what's the cause and effect here is it right?
Exactly.
And Missouri is the most middle of the lot middle of the road team. Yeah. Right. Exactly.
If the checks take the losses, right? Like we have to fill out a schedule. Oh, you're
sending it as a shot at Missouri. Well, I'm like, I think the drink, which does a fine
job there, think like expecting him to beat teams. So like one of your losses has to come
to Missouri. And then you also have to like not lose more than two more in conference
play is somewhat unrealistic. Gotcha. He's probably been a little bit unlucky too. Like
eventually, you like, you kind of luck in and get somebody, but they also don't get
upset a lot. The team they shouldn't lose to. Right. That's the other side of it.
It is. I mean, does a Missouri. They beat the teams below them. They lose to the teams
above them. And sometimes you're right, but it is lucky. George are fumbling through
the back of the end zone a couple of years ago, right? In a game that Missouri absolutely
had the dogs on the ropes. But you know, just just just the numbers that I see. Um, okay.
Coming up on the other side, recapping the action that we've got on the board so far
than opening up that book, the entire week five Saturday card, plus money lines. We
go say more next back here on the cover three podcast. Let's review the locks that we've
got on the board so far for week five, but is on pit Virginia Tech over 54 and a half.
That is his three star lock Northwestern team total under 22 and a half in Ohio State
first half minus seven and a half. I've got Alabama Mississippi State over 60 Notre Dame
North Carolina first half under 24 and a half and Florida minus 4 and a half. Danny's
got Virginia Tech minus 2 and a half Ohio State Iowa under 45 and a half Missouri plus
5 and a half. Alabama Mississippi State first half under 30 and a half Northwestern plus
three and Tom's got pit plus 3 and a half Ohio State Iowa over 45 and a half and Florida
minus 4 and a half and it looks even funnier to see that all of the picks Tom has so far
are directly against Danny Canal. They are going to be a great week for text. I can tell
you that much. They are five and one when they agree and they haven't agreed on a
dagum thing. DK, I appreciate you coming, making time out of your your pre-flight accommodations.
I mean, you could be in a sky club right now and you're here with us in the cover three
tailgate. I appreciate that. I'll let you go with Jenny Del on the sky club, you know?
I mean, the number of times, the number of times I've been on the same flight with her and
just just said bye from the back of the plane. Car service. See ya. That's not true. That's
not true. She lets Will sit at the front of the plane. That's right. Yeah, his legs
are longer. She's going to work. Danny, go ahead. Take us where you want to go. Let me
go. I've got a Hurricane Polo play. Couple of these in the slate this week with the remnants
of the hurricane coming across the country. Give me Miami Clemson under 47 and a half. I don't
even if it's nice weather, I think Clemson could struggle to score. When we talked about
their offense, the woes that they've had, they have not figured out things by any means.
I think Miami should be able to stop them. And then I do worry about Darren Mensa and the
past game for Miami. I know they've been awesome. But if that ball is slippery, that could
impact their explosiveness. Injury start to mount up. I think this is a lower scoring
game. I'm going to take the under. I've got Danny. Oh, you and I are five and one unlock
agreements this year. Let's make it six and one. I'm there. I'm also on the under here.
I got bad news for you guys. Because Danny and I Danny and I are Oh and three when we agree.
But maybe this is the key because. What's our unity record this year? Do we have one
as a show? How many unies? No, we've only got the Oh and one on infinity. Okay. We just
want to do the sweet spot right here. Yeah. Here we go. Hey, how about the Clemson past
defense? Okay. I'm not going to throw you the stat packet research facts. That's just
going to get shoved in my face. But here's what I want to talk about. Ashton Hampton is
a player. I think it's going to go to the NFL. And do you know who else is in that defensive
backfield right now? Transfer portal additions. So when we reheat all those microwave takes
about that, but it's winning the transfer portal. Remember that there are key players
playing key snaps on a Clemson defense that is about the only thing you're hanging your
head on as a Clemson fan right now. And a lot of them came from the transfer portal.
So if you want to criticize him for the quality of the roster and the quality of the high school
recruiting as it started to take a dip and not supplementing that, that's true. I just
don't want to be totally lazy. I think the past defense for the Clemson Tigers, even
against competition, even against the competition, that at least seems to be the one thing that
you can get excited about for the Tigers. You've got some nicks and bruises for Miami
on both sides of the ball. Curious to see what kind of approach they want to take here.
Big game dabbo. I mean, they get anywhere close to scoring. You know that's going to be
a field goal attempt. I mean, a no way we're going forward on fourth from anywhere, you know,
the plus 40 plus 30 plus 20 plus 10. So I think that this is a fits a lot of systems
for me. And that's not even looking at the weather system. So right there with you, Tom,
what do you see? Yeah, I mean, I just, I feel like this could be a situation where Miami
completely blows the doors off of them and Clemson doesn't do anything. I was toying with
the idea of just doing the Clemson team total under. I just didn't like any of the numbers
that were available. So I went with the full game. I am scared that Miami could possibly
do this on its own, but as you guys have touched on the weather and all this situation,
I do feel like we'll depress the scoring in the game just a little bit. Yeah, that team
total under will be a play, but not a lock for me. I would rather play that than full
game under because I do worry that Reynolds is that bad that he could throw a lot of like
turnovers to Miami and a good score. Very, very good point. All right, but you're, uh,
where would you like to go? Let's go to a service academy game. Yes. New Eastern time,
commander and chiefs trophy gets off and running, maybe an air force. What's your
lack? Uh, well, I'm glad these folks are better at protecting our country than they
are protecting the end zone because we are going over in a service academy game over
45 and a half Navy Air Force. I think both these defenses are cheeks. And I know they know each other
I know like the pace is whatever, but I think they'll both hit explosive plays. We're going over
You disgust me
Fight
Wow
Like the okay Corral out here
How you not only are you going against the principle of the service academy under but you are
going to disrespect the troops and say that they can't defend this great country in our important
end zones that is a whore. I can't as a as a Texan board and bread. I just can't stand for that
Give me the under 46 and a half
Hey hashtag since 2005. Let's see it all Saturday since 2005. Yeah, you'll know what it's like a
Billion two and one. Yeah, 2005
We keep we don't even bother updating the the sounder just because it just keeps going up and up and up
Love it. Um, all right, Tex
Your play
I'm very angry here today. You want me to take it? I got I'll just go up go
I just need to calm down okay, I got you we need to do data center to hold them points, Tom
Texas got you covered
Um
Dell is not messing around
Dell is not messing around
This group went one and eleven last year
They went two in ten against the spread last year. It would be so easy to just sell it all
Um
ODU
You mentioned that game a little bit earlier with the sacks
They've kind of had a rough go of it the last couple of weeks you dealing with Virginia Tech and JMU and back-to-back you've got an offense
That is very willing to throw it 30 yards down the field
Not all that efficient
I think the Panthers are run the ball pretty effectively
I think that this is a group that the number has not caught up to the improvement that has happened year over year
Give me Georgia state minus two and a half and I'll make it my three star lock against ODU. Let's go
Lock agreement
I don't have a single solo play yet on the board um, yeah, I just
I don't I'm I'm with you. I don't think the markets caught on to what Georgia state has done
And at first when you were talking Dell you meant Dell McGee. I thought we were talking about Jenny deal
I thought you were about to play you mass again, but oh
Damn, that's a good one
I'm just reading right off my notepad is just like as I was standing through the whole board
I saw that and I was like uh-oh and Dell is not mess like this is not
If they are as if they are as improved as I think they are
It went this game by a touchdown, you know, so yeah like I'm not gonna sit here and say Georgia states like good good
But their sun belt good. They're much better than people realize
All right
All right, let's go ahead and I need a ruling is is this sicko mode if we go to Lincoln
No, no, okay, but we're going anyway. Yeah
This may not it's been I'll be a turtle podney longer
It's still a turtle bet Maryland plus 15
Turtle soup off the mat all right like I this feels to me
Like it's priced as if Maryland has quit and if so I think the line is fair
But if Maryland has not quit, I can't get to this number
So
You know, I think like you're flipping coins if they quit and if they've not I think it's good value
Max in the tailgate says it only would have been sicko if you were taking mat rule to cover this massive spread
Against a big 10 opponent that that would actually be worthy admission into the infirmary if you care about like the whole sandwich spot stuff
Right like the brass kid just coming off a big conference. We're gonna road win who comes to town next week
I believe that would be Indiana right so
Yeah, maybe little little look ahead sandwich spot
I don't really like handicap on that but like narrative street if you want to like a reason to feel good about it and take it
I do not have a play there, but I can kind of stay a little bit adjacent to that thematically
Um, at least in terms of the quality competition and the conference
Uh, Wisconsin's defense has been getting better each week
Obviously Notre Dame
Went out there and put them on put it on them early, but if you're to just sort of track the performance
It seems like Luke fickle's group on the defensive side of the ball. They are
Continuing to improve on it. It's a shocker. I was having this conversation this week with somebody's like you know
Teams can get better
Whoa, you know with these these mercenary teams with all these transfer portal additions and you don't always know what you've got
You get out there. You can get better. I think Wisconsin's defense is getting better
I think Michigan State's offense is getting worse as came Edwards as we mentioned in the reaction pod is now out for the year
I'm gonna lock up Michigan State team total under 16 and a half
Yeah
My only concern there
Is the Colton Joseph of it all that he leads to easy points for spartan
Fair, I mean the whoopsie daisy rate is worth concern
Um, but I I'm not looking for hangover let down. I think that Michigan State is a good opponent for
Wisconsin to make this a little bit more of a stacking success type week for the badgers
Okay, let's see um, do we go Danny's got to get going here soon
I gotta go to you so I got a couple plays in the state of Arizona
Hold on for my three star lock
Give me ASU landed against Baylor
um
ASU had a little longer break coming back from London
I think they settle down. I'm still not convinced DJ lagway is the answer for Baylor
A couple interceptions almost cost them the cover for us in the right way
I need to get hurt him here against Arizona state
The other Arizona I play I have
Cincinnati is 4-0 this year Cincinnati is 4-0
They came back down 28-7 versus Miami of Ohio they came back down 10 nothing versus Kansas State
They will not come back after being down to Arizona whatever the score is
Uh, no if it is still really good um
Cincinnati's been running the football pretty well
But they haven't placed a defense face to defense like Arizona has pretty strong against the run last year and this year included
So I will lay do I have a full touchdown? Can I get there's no six and a half?
There's plenty six and a half
Perfect even better. I'll lay it a six and a half
And then I got one more and I'll text you got. I'll email you guys my uh sprinkles one more
This reminds me of last week's LSU versus Texan M game
LSU lost to Ole Miss then they came back kind of reasserted themselves against the team that was a good brand
But overrated
Give me USC as long as this is under 10. It's not it's think it's still nine and a half, right?
Nine and a half. Yeah. Yeah. You USC. I will lay nine and a half against Washington
I think this is USC's bounce back game. I think Washington is reeling somewhat trying to figure things out offensively
That could be just what USC's defense needs
Still trust Jade Mayava. Uh, I think Lincoln Rally needs to get back on track with his fan base
I think they could even run it up if they can so I like USC. I'll lay the points there
Another lock agreement between me and Danny. Oh you taking Trojans
Yeah
Little bit of fate Washington. I think it's I think it's a fade Washington
But it's also a the reaction to USC losing to Oregon might be a little too dramatic like I still like okay
USC can't beat Oregon. I still think it could handle. Oh, oh, oh, oh, yeah. Yeah. I just yeah
Because I mean this Washington offense is just
It's been sad so long and it's not like they've been playing a list of juggernauts
No, and it's there's not an answer
We're not waiting on somebody to get healthy. I mean correct me if I'm wrong on that one
We're just
There's not not it at all
Uh, okay. See you boys. I see it. Yeah. I see that car moving. Please get off
Do not create a public evidence
We don't need our ease to move in it, huh? What if he's not the one moving it?
Just the hey, uh, sure. All right, what would you like we're trying to go on this uh next
Let's go to Minneapolis
We are we we we had Minnesota last week. Uh, we're gonna go ahead and fade the gopers though this week
We're gonna go ahead and take Michigan and lay what I got five here
Five in a is there five out there. Let me see. Uh, let's hold on
I see five and a half. I don't know like there's a five. Yep. All right. Uh, we'll go ahead and lay it
I just I think Michigan looked much improved on offense again like like don't take my word for it
Connolly had them as a 93%
Uh, when expect and see in that game. So those were like one of the most flukish losses of the season. So um
Kind of you know playing more to the expectation both with my Ohio State pick and my Michigan pick here
uh, based off last week results and I I think
Like credit to Minnesota for going on the road and taking care of business
but Washington looks awful.
So go ahead and lay the number touchdown.
- Lock agreement.
Again, another play that I have on my cut.
Like, I don't have a single solo play yet.
- I just, yeah, I think Michigan's good.
I think Michigan is much better than the loss last week
indicates, and I think that Minnesota's win was great,
but I think it said far more about Washington
than it did Minnesota.
- And by far the best defense Minnesota has played.
- Yes, I think that Michigan can take away
what Minnesota's good at and force them
to do what they're not good at.
And I don't know if Minnesota can do that consistently enough.
- Michigan's the better team, they gotta go,
they gotta go prove it away from Ann Arbor with this staff,
right?
- Yeah.
- Okay, that's the only need to see,
but I do think that they are the better football team
so far.
Haven't heard from the producers yet, Tafty,
you wanna go ahead and get that producer pit going?
- It's time for the producer to pick.
- Oh, yeah.
- Let's go.
Come on.
- Like that cover three tailgate hat too.
- Shout out the cover three tailgate.
It's been firing today on the lox pod.
Let's go to Fort Worth, where the number is not high enough.
I'll take BYU minus six and a half.
The Cougars have been early season merchant's going back
to 2024.
They are 19 and 0 in games play between August and October.
Kind of reminds me of Tom Mizo and March Stat.
How about BYU in the early season?
They're three and 0 this year against the spread.
They've covered in eight straight games going back
to last year when Bearbock Meyer starts
averaging 39 points per game.
And they're coming off a buy,
whereas last week TCU was throwing picks in Orlando
in that lost to UCF.
And then we looked back at this game last year,
44, 13 in Provo, BYU won and covered.
It was one of Bock Meyer's best games.
Give me the Cougs minus six and a half.
- Fight.
- Yeah.
- Oh, all right, fight, fight, fight.
- I don't think TCU's run defense is terror.
And I don't trust BYU to drop back and pass
in obvious passing situations.
Like I think both will play a slow tempo game.
So six and a half points to me is a decent bit here.
- And that's nine.
- Six and a half for seven.
- I found that a seven.
- Let's go.
- You found BYU at TCU plus seven.
And was that stat for until October 1st?
It does account all of October.
- Through October.
- Through October.
- Yeah, August through October.
Shout out the CBS Sports Research team.
I feel much worse about this pick now.
- Thank you, bud.
- I don't hate BYU.
BYU is basically just like Iowa,
the mountain region, except they play a much easier schedule
than Iowa does.
- My lock for this one is very tied to the way
that blood just broke it down.
I think TCU's run defense is pretty good.
I also think that TCU's offense is a big time struggle.
And I think that if we get any kind of conditions
in the Metroplex area,
this game could be a little bit slow.
Both teams are playing slow.
This could be slow.
This could be sloppy.
I'm gonna be going under.
Was it 47 and a half?
- Yep.
- Yep.
- Yeah, I'll go under 47 and a half for this one.
- Lock a grip.
- You just.
(laughing)
- And not only wow.
Listen, I don't know how I'm gonna make this doc organized.
'Cause I don't have, oh, anyway, yeah.
Not only is this a lock agreement,
it's my three star lock of the week.
- Let's go.
- Under 47 and a half.
I just, yeah, I don't trust either one of these offenses
all that much in this game.
- Well, I mean, you got four rockets.
- If we're gonna three star lock this up,
I've got better odds pulled up
and we got 48's on the board.
So why don't you guys take a 48's, go.
- Well, take a 48, are you kidding me?
- Yeah.
- Are you kidding me?
Okay, there you go.
We get--
- Depending where plays do you have?
Go Philly's tough.
- No, no, no, no, no, no.
Good brace.
- I've got, I know two that I want to get in,
but potentially maybe like five more that I haven't got to yet.
- Hopefully I could fit you in those two spots.
- I bet no one's gonna have this one.
What's the best number I'm gonna get on the Wake Stanford total?
I don't think anyone's got this.
- What do you want over under?
- Over.
- We have 53 and a half.
- 53 and a half, yeah, it's going to be 54 or so.
- I will take the Wake Stanford over again.
I mentioned this after watching after the show,
the way that they roared back against Georgia Tech,
the Davis War and compliments that we've been offering
for a couple of weeks now still stand.
I think that against a Wake Forest defense,
there are a couple of names on Wake Forest's
availability report that at least were worth monitoring
on the defensive side of the ball.
Defense obviously did a good job of being able to step up
and create some problems against Louisville
to help lead them to that win.
And then on the other side,
Geo Lopez, Carlos Hernandez,
I mean, they are just,
that Robbie Zell's offense is absolutely buzzing
for the Deeks right now.
So it might be a little bit of a tough start for the Cardinal
as they were late on week four and then coming over here
and playing out here at a legacy stadium in Winston-Salem.
But I think that over the course of 60 minutes,
Stanford would be able to get theirs
and Wake, we'll be able to find some holes
in the Stanford defense.
So I will go with the over Wake Stanford.
- I may have something for you later on that.
- Dude, if the CART, if the trees come--
- They go on the road and--
- But when's the stadium--
- And when that game?
- Oh, godly.
All right, bud, where would you like to go?
- I'm tapped.
- You're done?
- Yeah. - Yeah.
- Tom-- - I've got two left.
- Okay.
I will go to Champaign, Illinois.
It is homecoming.
I don't know if you guys heard the news.
I may have mentioned it at a time or two.
Illinois is so bad on defense that they decided to fire
their new defensive coordinator who they brought in
to implement a new system and had a new staff brought with them.
They didn't just fire them after four games.
They didn't wait to the end of the season.
They didn't even wait for a buy.
They did it between games when they have six days
to prepare for a big ton of opponent at home.
And I just don't think that doing so will fix anything.
I think the defense is a mess.
I think the defense will be a mess for the rest of the season.
And I think this defense is gonna give up plenty of points
to a Purdue team that has been pretty feisty on offense
when they're not facing an elite defense like Notre Dame.
I also think that Illinois's offense is very good.
And it is facing a Purdue defense.
It has actually been worse than Illinois somehow.
It's hard to do what Purdue has figured out a way.
I can't remember what it is off the top of my head,
but I think their explosive play rate allowed
is at like 18%.
It's not great.
Over 61 and a half.
There's gonna be a whole hell of a lot of points
scored in the campaign on Saturday boys.
Purdue overs just a system that you're not gonna hear
any protests from me on that one.
That's, that's right there.
I buds tapped.
I'm gonna go.
It won't be windy because we're in a dome.
But I do think the game finishes low scoring.
I'm gonna go North Dakota State Wyoming under 45 and a half.
Wyoming does not pose a great threat in my opinion.
Offensively against the North Dakota State's defense.
North Dakota State, I think that they've signaled
they want to be mean and they want to run that football.
I just, I could, I looked at the Wyoming team total under
as another way to potentially attack this.
But ultimately, I think full game is gonna give me
a little bit more wiggle room in terms of different ways to win.
So I'll go North Dakota State Wyoming under 45, 45 and a half.
- 45 and a half.
- 45 and a half of the AC could be windy, says Max.
Point of order, the 16 and a half are gone.
I've now taken Purdue Illinois over 61 and a half.
I don't care.
There's gonna be 70.
It doesn't really matter.
- Okay.
- Okay, oh, we've got left.
- You've got one play left?
- Yeah.
- Okay, well we do, I just got the word from the Bouncer.
I think that you want to, you end up--
- Let's go.
- Okay, let's go ahead and get it.
'Cause if we finally, if we're gonna tip the Bouncer,
we might as well be able to--
(upbeat music)
(laughing)
(laughing)
- That is a pretty great entrance.
- Yeah, I think they're still boys.
- I think they're still kidsy.
How you doing?
- You know, two in a week, so we're really feeling good.
I have accidentally gone to war with ACC Twitter, though,
calling the Pit for Ginny Tech game a potential playoff eliminator.
So I'm staying off that side of Twitter right now.
- Tantial.
- It's war out there, but I've been
called every name under the sun for that take.
Does anyone disagree with that?
- No.
- I disagree with using the word potential.
It's absolutely a playoff.
- Okay, thank you.
Thank you.
Sometimes you let the trolls get to you a little bit
and then you realize, no, no, this is the correct take.
- You gotta embrace them.
Like there will be no rank to be on your schedule
if you can't, for the loser.
I think they're averaging a strength of schedule of 120 right now between the two teams.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Anyway, over to the games that matter, cow, UNLV office.
Yeah.
Let's go.
Game of the century.
What they're saying, Tom, listen, we're just going to take cow plus the two and a half on
the road here.
Not a great record, but the underlying metrics like Clemson, they beat themselves, stats
first, UNLV, relative weren't awful.
They've at least won on the road against Syracuse.
And then UNLV, I mean, there's nothing impressive going on.
The last time they were at home, they played Memphis and they lost.
I think it was August 29th, it was like nothing about UNLV has been impressive.
I've been fading them in multiple different ways all through the season.
And I think cow, the record is making it look worse than it is than the football actually
is.
Then we're going to Hawaii.
And typically, I'm just feeling, oh, I, because they're in the States, but now the boys
are back on the islands.
And now we're fading San Jose State, who just is not an awesome football team right now.
I think they beat their FCS opponent by like 10 when they're like 20 point favorites.
Just been ugly football here.
I like the Warriors at home plus 13 point differential at home versus minus 10 on the road.
Only allowed 20 points per game at home versus like 30 on the road.
The home and road split.
I just like whatever version, I'm either going to fade them in the States or I'm going to
back them at home.
That's going to keep riding the train.
Haley Sutton is going to be at cow UNLV.
Oh, my God.
Yeah.
Check out for a little, a little sideline action from our friend.
They're over on CBS Sports Network that, of course, a 330 PM Eastern time kick off from
a legion stadium in Las Vegas.
How do you feel Mackenzie not just going to an O, but also winning a fight in the club
against against Bud Elliott that it puts them wind underneath your wings this week?
Yeah, it's always a boost, but it's a long season.
You know, got to, got to keep it, got to keep it 100 humbled by losing a bet and having
to wear a Florida Gator shirt on, on Premiere NFL coverage.
Correct.
Correct.
That was bad.
That hurt more than the chicken hearts that I had to eat.
What the hell was Bonser Taft even doing during that fight?
Like he didn't even break it up.
He just sat there and walked.
Yeah.
Keep it all in me, Tom.
I think my fights were a habit.
Shout out Taft.
I'm really just putting this show on his back, but you strike it over in Santa Rene.
I think we should make Taft, Taft wear a GoPro and be an actual Bonser in a bar for a night,
like that would be.
I tried that in Athens, it didn't go so well.
And by the way, Tex, you are banned from the club for the next two weeks because of all
the fights you've been thrown out this week.
Tex doesn't go to the club.
Yeah.
He's more of a loud.
It's so loud.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It feels like a speakeasy.
Yeah, exactly.
Well, that's awesome. Where are the people going to find you this week, Mackenzie?
This week, I'll be in New York City Sunday, 10 to 12, and then a little bit 12 to 1 next
week.
We're potentially going to Kansas City, but that was with the thought that the chargers
were a good football team, so we might not be doing that anymore.
I might be in Vegas.
Let's go.
We'll see.
We'll see.
We'll hear it.
Mackenzie Brooks.
It club cans.
Always good to check in.
Salute.
Have a good weekend.
Man.
Excellent.
Good.
Great intro.
Level enough.
That's good.
That's great.
Yeah.
All right.
Tex, you got one more.
Yes, I do.
It's a big game and other huge, huge, huge battle here.
Louisville NC State.
No, no, no, no.
No, I'm going to stay.
Virginia.
Virginia State.
I am so interested in watching Louisville NC State.
I believe that is this week's anxiety bowl, but I don't want to make a single play on
it.
I will make a play on the under 48 and a half in Temple, South Florida.
Just don't feel like that's going to be a high scoring game.
My number say that's a little too high as long as it's over 45.
It's green light go for me.
Monitoring.
I'll just go ahead and throw this out there.
But USF has had very strong second halves this season.
Their third quarter margin and their second half margin, very good.
Where was Brian Heartline before he showed up at South Florida?
Oh, the best third quarter program in the dagum country, monitoring, okay?
Sample size is too small, but Heartline might have brought in a little bit of the
buck guys with him down to Tampa, no Tennessee Auburn thoughts.
Leane, like altunders, if you're into that kind of thing because they both teams see this
offense in practice quite a bit.
You have quarterbacks that I'm fairly high on Brandon long term, but right now his time
to throw was like 3.4 seconds and his eyes came down a lot, didn't see some open guys,
and I think we know what Bayern Brown is.
I think it's an interesting like alt under game with the way it could play out.
No Texas fan wants to hear this, but when I started when I started sort of uncovering
some well actually about their school record of sex, you're like, oh yeah, okay.
That's weird that a true freshman playing in that setting might not have his timing
down, correct?
But I don't know if Auburn can expose that.
That's something that I think is interesting to follow, no official play for me either.
A couple other just headline games, Indiana Rutgers, no thoughts?
I almost laid Indiana here.
I think Hoover is a little more high variance of a passer that meant like clearly he's
not as good of a passer.
I do think like his approach is going to be a little bit less even week to week.
He goes for the home run ball a lot.
So I think at least some more strikeouts, you know, like I do think there's a chance
in Indiana like just kills them, which obviously that's black to the number you're a 22 or
23 point conference road favorite.
But I almost made it in Indiana lock, yeah.
I'm using factoids for this game, nothing to lock up, but like currently Indiana, you
know, they're defending national champions.
They have 120 straight games, which since 1980 is the third longest winning streak in the
big 10 behind Ohio State's 24 and Ohio State's 23.
So that's the, that is the stratosphere Indiana is currently residing in.
Fun fact, Indiana enters this game without a three game losing streak against Rutgers.
So can they, they've won a national title, but can they beat Rutgers?
We'll find out also owe and four against the spread.
Yeah.
I know a little bit of a little fraudulent there and fraud alert is that your saying chip?
No, I'm just saying they ain't no damn wagon wheels anywhere in the vicinity of the state
of Indiana.
These days, they do have internet, but I don't know if they got wagon wheels right now.
We got to, we got to monitor that.
And then last one, you mentioned anxiety, bowl, I have a, are the vibes horrendous for
Texas A&M Arkansas?
You better beat the shit out of Arkansas.
I'd say you better, you better, don't, don't go give us, here's the thing is in apologies
to Broncos, big bad boys, but like don't give us what Washington did against Utah state,
right?
Because that was like signal and noise.
That told us what they were, Texas A&M, you got a chance to be able to flip this back.
Okay.
Coming up on the other side, a recap of our week, five locks, Money Line Sprinkles, and
more.
Next.

USC minus 9 and a half BYU TCU under 48
Purdue Illinois over 61 and a half and temple USF under 48 and a half
Yes, did I get a darker shade of gold because my three sharers have been winning everybody else got like golden rod and I got like actual gold
Yes, yeah, you know what sure. Yeah, it's still it's still there until as long as you're undefeated and you're
You you get the what's the code the codex or whatever the
Yeah, you get zero one four five five six five four and you had the rest of us are just left with six five
Oh, the hex code hex code. Yeah, okay. Yeah, that's that's what you get right there. Uh, and now it's time for money line sprinkles
All right, let's look back at last week sprinkles, bud
Cash in that Minnesota plus 316 out at Washington. I was also on Minnesota plus 316
Nothing for Danny as he had Western Michigan Tennessee Maryland and Michigan state and stand for getting it done against Georgia Tech for Tom
That leaves us with chip up 0.76 units, bud down 1.73
Danny and Tom a little bit further back, but I'll go ahead and
Get up. I mean, I know how much could go out and take this
It it can't get worse, right? Hell yeah, it can get worse hogs
What's the best price on Arkansas to just go out there and win the game on? Wow. Oh, oh, shoot
I was on the baseball tab give me a second here plus 500. Yeah, okay
It can't get 5.06 chip. Let's go there. Yeah, it can't get worse. I mean no way it could worse hell
Yeah, I could get worse Washington Huskies get up off the mat and beat USC in the Coliseum
Let's go Washington Husk. That's price 325 and then the last one is jumping on the other side
Of Danny's play here
I
I do not think Cincinnati is awesome
But I do think that their game against Arizona is a bit more of a coin flip than this suggests
Cincinnati's got a pretty good offensive line since an ad he's got a decent chance to be able to get this thing going
Could could be tough stop and know if a feeder like I'm acknowledging that
But this Arizona defense is not world beaters to my eyes
So I think Cincinnati could potentially get it done. So hogs Huskies and bear cats
With the sea. Oh my as my three
Three money line sprinkles. All right, bud. What you got?
All right, we'll start small. We're gonna take Cal plus 120
At you and LV. I just can't quit them
San Diego State will handshake little handshake truce with with club cans. Yeah, I think so. I think so
All right, uh, San Diego State plus 270 little bounce back opportunity there with the mumps
See we'll see
All right
Sprinkles my lovely lady at mumps sprinkles. They need medication and quarantine
We're gonna go rice plus 400 getting UTSA away from the dome
Yeah, yeah, obviously. Yeah, but um give me coastal plus 127
I think there's there's a shot there high variance team very high variance team
All right, give me bowling green plus 475 against Miami Ohio. Oh, disgusting
Yeah, I don't care. It's time to sickle mode. Let's go
I'm a little bit lower on some of the teams in the bottom of the sun belt if things go wrong
They could be like you ask you come that's kind of like sickle mode of a sickle mode
Give me Stanford plus 456 to go into wait and get the dub
Why not? I mean we got you know
All right, he's sneezed. He's not sprinkling. He's sneezing. That's how sick these sprinkles are
It gets sicker um
Give me Maryland plus 547. Oh
I feel like I have the mumps turtle boy and the last one
Give me metal Tennessee plus the thousand at Kansas. I just
I don't think Kansas should should be that that big of favor against anybody
Here is what's very funny quarterback can score for both teams
Reddable. Yeah, you were talking about Kansas as Isaiah Marshall
I'm gonna turn your attention to Derek Mason who might have just gotten the job because of his real estate portfolio depending on the area
If he ends on who you listen, but Derek Mason's feeling himself
I haven't said this in a couple. He's out here talking smack taking conference USA fines. He don't give a damn
And we haven't seen Derek mate. I he doesn't talk like that
If the team is all booty, right? Yeah
Hmm, let's see I'm on middle go get it
Um, all right, let's review the oh, uh, what are Danny sprinkles? He texted what are mine? Oh, top. What are your chips?
Chip chip my sprinkled record is so bad chips trying to save me from myself
No, I post it anymore. Tom Tom. I was sprinkled a year, man
Tom. I was legitimately disoriented by both the amount and the quality of those sprinkles from bud that I just
Totally lost the plot
Okay, Tom my phone I apologize
Danny Danny's going with Minnesota plus 199 to beat Michigan
He's also on cow plus 120 with bud and you guys are gonna be shocked to learn this
But dandy's on Florida State plus 125 against Virginia
My sprinkles
I hinted at it a little bit earlier. I've taken on Friday night in their new stadium
Give me north western plus 130 against Penn State
Another Friday night dog give me pit plus 140 against Virginia Tech
And then you know bud and I are at war navy and air force over versus under
I'm also taking navy plus 144 because I don't trust air force nearly enough to just
Think they're gonna win that game
And then it brings me absolutely no pleasure to do this
Purdue plus 320 I just damn they're down bad
I cannot trust Illinois's defense to let the line I pull away in this game
I expect it will be close in the fourth quarter and if it's like like a one-score game at the beginning of the fourth quarter
And I'm able to get plus 320 how can you not?
I will say the last time I fired six or more sprinkles in a show
I won 12 units and went five and one so
Maybe we're do maybe we're do nobody's pushing back. I feel like I've gotten so many of these like the final drive and just
I'm listen. This is this this could be something special. We'll see. I I did
Chuckle the tailgate said that you locking up middle Tennessee is the most promosary thing you've done all season
So
At least at least they're with you there. So that's a that's a great thing
All right real quick, but again his sprinkles are cow San Diego state rice coastal bowling green stand for Maryland and middle Tennessee
I'm sprinkling Arkansas Washington since and thatty Danny has got Minnesota Florida state and cow and Thomas sprinkle and pit north western navy and
