Week 5 Fantasy Football Key Questions: Must-Start Players, Risky Rankings & Predictions (Ep. 2252)
76m 0s
The podcast episode analyzes key NFL matchups and player rankings in Week 5, highlighting the impact of injuries and defensive weaknesses. The NFC East is described as one of the weakest divisions due to multiple team collapses, including the Cowboys’ poor defense and the Eagles’ offensive and defensive struggles. Tampa Bay’s early win under rookie QB Jalen Daniels signals potential for future success, while the game plan execution by coach Zach Robinson is praised. Will Shipley is deemed a high-risk, low-reward option due to limited production and poor offensive line depth. Dante Myers stands out as a breakout story, with a strong college journey and promising fantasy value against Miami. The Bengals’ matchup is viewed as favorable for George Kikuchi and Dante Myers if Chase and Higgins are out. For the Patriots, Drake May emerges as a top-tier quarterback option despite some defensive concerns. Tyler Schuck is considered a viable start against the Vikings due to volume and route-running efficiency. Carnell Tate is seen as a mid-tier wide receiver with volume but significant risk due to inconsistent quarterback play. The episode concludes with a strong emphasis on depth, injury impacts, and the need for flexibility in fantasy team building amidst volatile schedules and unpredictable matchups.

Hello everybody, welcome into the Fantasy Pros Football Podcast, I'm Ryan Wormley joined by Derek Brown and Pat Fitzmoris, we are talking week five key questions previewing the slate ahead. Just a reminder for everybody, as I always give, all of our weekly consensus rankings and tiers can be found at fantasypros.com/rankings. Also a reminder, a couple of teams are on by this week, I'm sure you remember, but just in case you didn't, it is the Panthers and the Chiefs, so we officially have fewer teams to be talking about on these episodes. And fewer players to be picked from in your lineups, and even though it's only two teams, it is really hitting me hard in a couple of leagues where I would have you on Walker or McMillan or Chewbhavard, so I'm sure other people are in a civil or a boat there. Deepa, how are you doing here, heading into week five? Doing good, buddy. It was an interesting Thursday night football game, but I think we're all just collectively as a group, as a community, as a consortium, trying to just wade through what feels like week 15, but it's only week five because of injuries, and now we have bi weeks. Yeah, the injury biweek combo, particularly since guys like Kenneth Walker and Teteromic Millen are coming and Chewbhavard are all coming off such great games. It feels like a more impactful biweek, like I said already, and also all the injuries going on. That's a great cap call that really does feel like a later season week here fits where where's your head at right now through all this? Yeah, at least it's only two teams for this first biweek. The NFL is easing us into the boiling water rather than submerging us, submerging us in a four team or 16 biweek. So that's good, I guess, but yeah, it's there have been a lot of injuries to contend with. It's a lot to deal with. Patty, in this metaphor, are we all frogs? Is that what we're going with this? So yes. I tend to feel like it does feel as though the injuries, like I saw here's what I'll say. I really have always been somebody who prefers the stars approach in building a team like stars or what matter. Death is kind of overrated. I want to trade my depth for stars, generally speaking, not in every circumstance, but I just saw as a high level rule. This feels like a year where the depth might actually be what kind of carries you into the playoffs and oh, once he'd never think like that, just if you can survive this level of early injuries and biweeks, that onslaught that's coming in the future, it might be a year where depth kind of rules things. Let's talk quickly about that Thursday game, a surprising finish certainly based on the Vegas line, 24 to 16 bucks when they get their first win of the season over the Cowboys in Dallas and boy, Fitz Cowboys just looked really bad. I don't even really know what else to say. They just look, they stunk. Their defense, I thought everything on offense was fixable and there were some mistakes, but the defense was really bad and Christian Parker has not fixed things and it's not Christian Parker failing to tackle Bucky Irving on that 70 yard run where he picked his way through all that traffic and probably should have been on the ground after like two yards. A lot of penalties like defensive backs, grabbing guys when the Cowboys should have gotten off the field, just really sloppy and man, the NFC East is really topsy turvy. I thought that was one of the easiest divisions to peg before the season, probably the Eagles, maybe the Cowboys, not the Giants or the commanders. I was totally wrong about that like the Giants or commanders could win that division. I mean, is there a path to this being the worst division in football? I know we always think of that as like the NFC South, but man, if the Eagles are followed apart, trading way off, losing offensive linemen, I should say they're not all trades. Cowboys just get blown out and not blown out, but like lose pretty handily at home to a winless Bucks team. The commanders have quarterback injuries. I know Jayden Daniel is coming back this week, the Giants, I'm like a total believer in like it's topsy turvy, but it also just seems really weak deep, bro. Oh, yeah, I'm taking the NFC South over the NSV East. I mean, right now I think it kind of deserves the moniker of the NSC least. Look, there are Jayden Daniel's injury away from starting, if his Marcus Mario does hurt, starting a late round rookie. The Cowboys seem to have no type of defense, which I mean, we just need Joey Porter Jr. to actually be on the field. I know he was sick with a stomach bug last night and stuff, but this defense just looks like, it's a lot of communication, a lot of blown coverage. And like Patty talked about a lot of just a lot of penalties, man. But to that point, the Eagles are melting down. They don't have an offensive line. Their defense doesn't hasn't come to play. And now they have injuries on that side of the ball. So yeah, like I'll take the NFC South over the East. Well, I wish out to you, Deer, you were all over George Pickens this week. Nine catches 130 yards in a touchdown on the Thursday night game. Any quick thoughts before we move on on the Bucks side of this one, guys? I mean, does this tell you more about the state of the Cowboys or do you think there's signs of life here for Tampa Bay? I mean, obviously, Jalen Daniels is still an undrafted rookie, you know, quarterback here, kind of thrown into the fire sooner than you would expect. But he did leave this team to a road win last night, fifths. I underestimated Jalen Daniels. He has actually looked pretty good, um, commanding this team. And like he's not going to go out and throw for three or four hundred yards, but he made enough throws. And he was kind of on target with a lot of the throws he made. I mean, there was that tough throw that he ripped to a mecca at Buka for a first down on like third and 14 something throw that Cowboys just cannot allow it to be completed. But yeah, he has impressed me so far. Bucky Irving has looked really good. And, um, you know, they're getting enough from their wide receivers like a Buka didn't really have a good night for fantasy. He made it happen with that touchdown run and six catches that went for what 30, 36 yards or something. But, um, yeah, it's the offensive line is still pretty good. And with the good offensive line, like a lot of things can work out if you get competent quarterback plan. Jalen Daniels is giving them competent quarterback play. Debra. Yeah. I mean, my typical way for the Tampa Bay Bucke and ears is I really want to give a shout out to Zach Robinson here because I feel like the game plan that he handed to Jalen Daniels was very good. He wasn't asking too much out of the Ricky quarterback, he used his legs. And really, you could tell probably in the team meetings leading up to this. It was like, look, we're going to try to cut the feeling in half. Use your legs a good bit, give you a lot of easy button throws. Now, I'm not saying, I'm not taking anything away from his performance, but I really want to shout out Zach Robinson here for the game plan that they designed for Jalen Daniels because you could also tell it was a lot of like, okay, first, second read. That's not there. Next, take the easy yards that Dallas is going to give you and they ran the ball well. So the bucks have life here. And again, talking about the NFC South, like if the East, we only see like the division winner come out of that. Can we see two wild card teams come out of the South? I don't think it's crazy because it's not like anybody else is like blowing the doors off. A lot of these teams in the NFC have definitive holes as well as the Cowboys. And just quickly on their side, dude, I wish we had better context for interceptions because I know and everybody's going to like, I'm not telling you that Dak Prescott played well because especially in the first half of this game, he was off. You could tell he was not settled in the pocket. He was ripping fastballs and they were not on target many times. But the second half, I thought he played really good football. He gets credited with two freaking interceptions. Both of them get popped up in the air and Jake Ferguson apparently has forgotten how to catch a football. So I think Dak didn't play amazing, but he didn't play nearly as bad as probably what's going to be talked about considering the two interceptions, the Cowboys falling flat, what yada yada yada. Let's jump into the Sunday slate here. You may be a London game this week, there's another one Eagles at Jaguars. When I asked you guys about Will Shipley, he was one of the biggest prizes on the waiver wire this week, but his reward to get the starting opportunity is an Eagles offensive line with outlaying Johnson and Cam Jurgons. He gets to travel to London to face a very, very strong Jaguars run defense and he's in a game where his team is very much the heavy underdog. So are you guys willing to start Shipley this week? Fitz, I actually asked you about this on the Thursday show yesterday. So I want to start with Debro on this one. Debro, what do you think about Shipley this week? Not unless I am destitute and have no other options. I don't want to start him because I think the way it's gotten painted a lot through the week is like, okay, well, it's ugly. It's gross. Yes, the offensive line. But he's going to have touches and he's going to be their bell cow. Team's talking of Damien Pierce a whole lot and I'm afraid that anybody starting Will Shipley might see a lot more Damien Pierce than they choose to see. And now could that also be in just like a change of pace for all? It's definitely possible, but it's not like Will Shipley's ever been good in his NFL career, man. Like 59 NFL carries and I know we have a small sample. produced 1.8. You. Ex.
explosive run rate, 1.63 yards of to contact for a 10th and an 8% missed tackle rate. So I'm worried about the volume. I'm worried about the talent of the player himself. I don't like the matchup. I don't like the offensive line. I don't like anything. Like I think this could be like Will Shipley gets 12 touches, gets 30 something, 40 something totally yards and doesn't score in your hating life. - He's RB31 in consensus. Debra, some of the names behind him, JK Dobbins, Keaton, Mitchell, Tyler Algier, Woody Marx, Martian Lloyd Blitcore. Are you considering those guys ahead of him? - I would start Tyler Algier ahead of him 'cause I know Jeremiah Love is not a hundred percent with the ankle and stuff. Now the rest of the guys, you're touchdown hunting. Okay, I'll give you guys a really good one here. Brian Robinson, you're coming off to four touchdowns in two weeks. He's gonna sniff probably the same workload but maybe in a better rushing attack. Be Rob or Will Shipley, guys. - What do you think fits? - Shipley. - Okay. - So Fitz, where are you at on Shipley? Again, RB31 in consensus. We talked about this a bit with Jake on the show yesterday. Is he somebody that is a desperation play for you or more of a, "Hey, I'm okay putting him into my line "up given the expected volume?" - No, he's a desperation play because if you got him on waivers this week, it was probably out of desperation and you probably paid a good bit of money for him. Yeah, we don't know how much of a role Daming Pierce is gonna have could be a bigger role. I think what you're hoping for from Shipley is some production in the passing game because he was a pretty competent pass catcher at Clemson and the Jaguars are tough against the run but they've given up the second most receptions and the second most receiving arts to running backs. So if Shipley can get you like four or five catches, you'll take that because yeah, you probably were desperate. By the way, can I throw in something fun about the Eagles offensive line? - Oh please do. Which is in such disarray, yeah, it's probably not gonna be a source of fun for the Eagles fans in this game but their new look offensive line is going to include a pair of rookies. Third round pick, Marquell Bell, making a second start in place of Lane Johnson at right tackle and undrafted rookie for Agent Willie Lampkin. It's gonna be making his first NFL start at Love Garden. Place of Cam Jurgens. Marquell Bell is six foot nine. Willie Lampkin is five foot 11. I know Lampkin is the shortest offensive lineman in the league. Bell has to be the tallest, right? - Yeah, 'cause Daniel Fahlele with the Ravens was one of the bigger, but I think he was six eight. I don't think he was six nine. I don't think he got up there. That's enormous. - Are we gonna get the Derrick Henry and Mark Ingram meme? Is somebody gonna snap the picture from what we're saying? - Oh, I need this in my life. I need this. Please somebody get this. - I mean the six, the six nine, Marquell Bell. - Yeah, that's interesting, but having a sub six foot offensive lineman is pretty crazy. - And yeah, Fahlele is six foot eight, by the way. - Yeah, yeah, and he looked, he stood out in the field for how enormous he was next to the lineman, and yet this guy's even bigger. That's remarkable. Just quickly, where do you guys actually have shiply rights? I don't think I asked. - 31. - 33 injuries are still gonna kind of sift out some of this stuff though, because you know, we'll get to, you know, other games and stuff like that, but what happens when New England's backfield, what happens with the Green Bay backfield of Chris Brooks misses? So still some things to kind of be decided on rankings. - Yeah, let's get to the next game here. Bengals at Dolphins. You know, when I put this sheet together, I phrase this as with Jamar Chase and T Higgins likely missing this week's matchup. I guess maybe there's more of a chance than I gave them credit for it to be playing earlier in the week. So let's sort of answer this as if they're not playing, 'cause if they are like you're not gonna be starting guys like Dante Myers, but I think it's worth mentioning that in case these guys end up not playing, it's Friday morning, we don't know 100% sure yet. So with that caveat, I said, with those guys possibly missing this week's matchup, are you aggressively ranking Bengals like Micah Sikki and Dante Myers since they have such a great matchup against Miami Fitz? - Gisikki's gonna be tight end 11. Maybe even a little higher, am I trying to get 'em up to number 10? Miami's been bad against tight ends. They got worked over by TJ Hockinson last week. They've been pounded by George Kittle. And then I would have Dante Myers something like Wide Receiver 3435. Like I would probably put him just ahead of Dante Vian Wicks who have currently got Wide Receiver 35. And man, the Dante Myers story is so cool. Just a quick version, played college football, Presbyterian college in Delta State, wasn't drafted, wasn't signed as a UDFA, had a tryout with the Falcons, didn't make it, didn't give up, kept training and was working nights as a doordash driver, paid $100 out of his own pocket to try out for the Saskatchewan Rough Riders, who gave him a futures contract, which is like practice squad, got promoted late in 2024. In 2025 he has over a thousand yards and they win the gray cup, the Canadian Football League Championship. And then someone in the Bengals scouting department noticed him, they gave him a futures contract. He balled out in training camp and made the team and now he's third in the NFL and kickoff return yardage. And last week it's 77 catches for 82 yards and might end up being Joe Burrows number one receiver in week five. - Is Gisikki somewhat fits for you, insulated, like in terms of you will be ranking him highly regardless of sort of the ultimate game, they status of Chase and Higgins, just because obviously he's playing a different position at tight end. It's still an amazing matchup against the Dolphins defense and you would expect maybe those guys to be a little bit limited. Or because you may or obviously would drop in the rankings if those guys were to play, is Gisikki somewhat insulated from that? - Not if those guys both played then I would drop Gisikki probably good four or five spots. But if one of them is out, then I'm probably still gonna have Gisikki ranked as a tight end one. - The thing is, there are other tight ends involved for the Bengals too. There might be people starting Gisikki, be prepared to be annoyed when you see throws the tight ends that wind up being Tanner Hudson or Drew Sample. 'Cause that's probably gonna happen, but Gisikki should, I mean, he's kind of been a favorite end zone target of Joe Burrow. He's got three touchdowns already. - Debro, are they playing tool on fantasypro's.com? Does it give Chase a 79% chance and Higgins a 53% chance to play? Those both feel high to me. I'm still again leaning towards them not playing. So we'll see what the practice reports say on Friday. Apparently Higgins was doing some individual route running drills on Friday. But at any rate for you, if we're playing this under the assumption that those guys aren't playing, where are you ranking guys like Gisikki and Myers? - So the way that I'm approaching this is, I think Jamar Chase has the better chance to play if he can clear a concussion protocol. DMP on Wednesday, limited practice on Thursday. So we'll see what he does on Friday. If the news comes out that like, what he did, he didn't have recurrence of symptoms, they're able to ramp him up on Friday. So we're kind of like, you know, biting our fingernails all the way to basically Saturday because it goes all the way to the Saturday if he wakes up feeling any worse based off of what he does on Friday. So I think Jamar Chase probably plays, but we'll see, but I give him a coin flip. I don't think T Higgins plays in this game because even with the sidewalk, he's been listed as DMP for both days. So I think we're gonna see maybe Chase play the TB out. So I'm kind of up in the air about Dante Myers because, you know, do we see Chase play? The other part about this is Colby Young was out last week and he got a limited practice and a full practice. So I'm not saying that Dante Myers can't play a big role, but there's a lot of other shifting tectonic plates here that we still have to see what happens. Now with Gaseki, yeah, I'm with Patty. Like if it's just Chase and it's kind of Chase Myers and Gaseki right now projecting it that way, I have Gaseki tied in nine. Now if Chase plays and all those other guys play, maybe T plays, then I'm dropping Gaseki a few different spots. It could probably be a high end tied in two with tying in one upside considering the match up. - I also just don't know why the Bengals would push either guy back quickly. This is a match up against the worst team football and they have a buy next week. It's the most obvious, just let them rest, get in a win. Don't, you don't know what it's a little pretty doing. It just, you can get, you could win this game without Chase and Higgins and then, you know, let them rest on the buy and come back afterwards. - My counter to that is, have you met Zach Taylor in his injury reporting? Have you, have you, no, no, no. - We don't have time in this episode to get you started on injury reporting. - Oh dude, no, don't, I'm gonna go off from 30 minute rant. - I know. Let's go to the next game. Raiders at Patriots are really interesting game given the starts that both of these teams have had this season. I wanna talk about Drake May as we kind of have a lot on the show every time we talk about the Patriots 'cause he's the big talking point. May had almost as many fantasy points at week four as he did across weeks one to three combined. Is he back or did he just take advantage of a struggling Bill's defense last week, Debra? - I think he's back-ish. Now, there was still some kind of concerning stuff in the Debra analytics. Like, last week amongst 32 qualifying quarterbacks, he was 20th and highly accurate throw rate. I was very encouraged slash impressed like what Josh McDaniels did because entering that week, New England was, they had the seventh lowest motion rate, fifth lowest play action rate. Last week, New England was fourth in motion, ninth in play action. So the easy button things that we wanna see, a smart offensive coordinator do to make a quarterbacks life easier Drake May got those. Now those easy button pieces aren't gonna go as far this week because the Raiders against motion have allowed the fourth fewest yards per attempt In the second.
lowest DPA per dropback, but is made back, I'm, I'm lean more on the positive than I do on the negative. Like at a 10, I'll give it a six. Like, because there's still concerning things in his film and in the analytics. Now, if we get another encouraging performance this week, yes, I'll bump that number up to like a seven, seven and a half fits. Look, man, Drake may just turn 24 years old. He's not ready to be Tom Brady yet. But last week against the bills, he was making the kind of throws that so impressed us last season. And I don't know how Drake may is 20th in a highly accurate throw rate last week because he made a lot of really good throws and that came against the bills. And that is Drake may super power. He makes throws that few other quarterbacks can make. And it doesn't hurt that he runs a bit too. He had 54 rushing yards against the bills. So they're going to be times when he glitches out and he did that a couple of times last week against the bills. But yeah, he's either high end or mid range, QB1 and everyone should be starting him. And the Drake may panic of a week ago was never justified. This isn't likely a decision somebody actually has to make, but just to put context into the rankings. Would you rather start Drake may or Joe burrow if chase and Higgins are both outfits? If they're both out, I'd start may. Okay. But I think the decision some people might have to make is Drake may versus Chikobi Berset. And that's how it's government next. Yeah. I got may one spot higher. I've got Berset one spot higher, just leaning into the game and the lion's horrible secondary. But I think they're close for context and the rankings. Bros at QB5, Berset, QB6, May, QB7 in the consensus ranking. So obviously, they're all ranked very highly here. But yeah, Berset Berset may obviously is a decision. Can I toss on more that somebody might have Drake may or Towershuk? I lean on lean to the May side. But that just saying that like they might have this decision because Towershuk went so late in drafts and stuff. Not, not close, not close. Yeah. No, I agree. I agree. Yeah. We've all been kind of like retweeting those tweets and sending it out a lot pushing it. We genuinely believe in it. No, it's it's a match. I hope everybody checks it out. Love it. Really, really nice, nice job done by our product team and dev team behind the scenes there. Let's go to the next game, speaking of Tyler Schuck, how about Vikings at Saints? Are you guys starting your Saints with confidence or are you fading Tyler Schuck who's QB 13 and consensus and Chris Alave who was wide receiver eight? I'll double check to see if that's moved at all. So right to pretty highly for both of those guys. Are you fading them relative to consensus given the tough matchup against the blitzing of Vikings defense fits? Starting a lot of it with confidence. Fading pretty much everyone else. I've got shock quarterback 16, valet wide receiver 34, juan johnson tight end 13. Vikings are giving up a league low 11.5 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. They've given up the sixth fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. 12 fewest sorry, six fewest to tight ends. 12 fewest to wide receivers. So it's just it's a tough matchup. They're going to get after shock. I think worm. We might have I'm going to brought this up on the start sit show with you and Jake the other day, but someone and I can't remember who was on Twitter was talking about that Monday night game with shock and how the Monday night game kind of showed the country how the sausage is made with that passing game like then basically the point being that shocks fantasy numbers are a little better than it looks in real life sometimes. And I don't think it's going to look all that pretty against the Vikings and what Brian florist is going to be dialing up for him. Yeah, it's it's funny. D bro because like we know that Brian florist is a great defensive coordinator. We know that this is a very good defense. Having said that their last three games, which is 75% of the season so far came against Chicago in horrific weather conditions Tampa Bay with a broken Baker Mayfield and a Miami offense that has been non functional didn't have to find a chance. So and even the green Bay game, you know, that's a really poor offensive line not really suited to you know, go up against the team that blitzes the way this Vikings defense does. So you know, is there any elements to their strong start to statistically that is driven by the schedule or you just like hey, this is a very, very good defense regardless and a match up to be feared if you're starting these Saints players. I think the match up is going to be extremely tough considering the constitution of the Saints offense of line right now like no banks. He's going to get pressured. The reason that I still think Tyler Schuck is startable and I'm not saying don't worry about him, but like low end QB1 high and QB2 territory. A lot of like hairs to be split between, you know, a lot of different players like him, Jordan love, CJ Stroud, all those kind of guys is that the volume is going to be there because we know the Saints cannot run the ball. So the passing volume would be there. Maybe we get garbage time stuff like the encouraging thing about Tyler Schuck is we know that yes, Brian Flores is going to blitz the ever loving heck out of him. He's blitzed on 72% of the defensive snaps this year. Schuck versus the blitz. He's 14ton yards per attempt, 8th and passing success rate to Vitz's point. Like it doesn't look pretty all the time. Now I will say that like is much pressure and as many passing attempts as he's being asked to navigate all of that, I think he looks good and competent considering all of that. Now is it pretty sometimes no, but with the volume, I think Schuck can get there as a QB1 this week. If that happens into your point, there is something like with the quality of opponents, Minnesota has played. There's also another Kyler Marie type of conversation that we we we're not going to have here, but Kyler Marie has played God awful. So how much is Minnesota going to move the ball? And I know the same defense is terrible. But so Tyler Schuck, I think volume can carry the day. Alave, I'm starting with confidence. I have no worries about him. I mean, he has shredded zone coverage. I think he's going to still get open. I know the matchup isn't great, but Minnesota 84% zone. Alave versus zone this year 31% target per route run rate 3.43 yards per route run. Those are elite metrics. life. Listen to who's with me with Debbie Quampelle on the iHeart Radio app Apple Podcast or wherever you get your podcasts. A lot of it's Widersheever 7 in consensus. So you actually moved up from when I put together the sheet and that's actually with CD Lamb locked in ahead of them in the rankings. So it really is six amongst the receivers who haven't played yet. So the consensus rankings are still very high in a lot of it, which I think is fair. I just wanted to ask you to do the match up, but I think it's totally my defensive point. I am worried more about Valey and Johan Johnson. Like I've got Johan Johnson a tight and 13 with Fitsy and Valey. It just kind of depends on like who's healthy on your roster. And do you have to start him anyway? Let's go to Browns at Jets. Let's talk about a couple of runny backs in this one. Who is the better match game in this match up? Quinshon Judkins or Braille and Allen. They are back to back in ECR. Braille and Allen is RB 16. Quinshon Judkins is RB 17 Fits. Who do you prefer? I slightly prefer Judkins. Judkins is catching passes now, which is kind of a welcome new wrinkle to his game. He already has 15 receptions last year at 26 receptions and 14 games. And the Browns have given up the seventh fewest fantasy points to running backs. The Jets, the seventh most. So better match up for Judkins. Both guys should get a lot of touches. Both guys do profile as high end mid range running back to us. I just like Judkins a little more. Debra. Yeah, I'm with Fitsy. The past, the receiving stuff for Judkins is what pushes him over for me. He did have a 16.7% target share on week two. Now, excuse me since week two. But like, I think the past game stuff for Judkins is what pushes over. This is a great match up for both these running backs. But if you're telling me one of these guys going to catch more passes, neither one of them are coming off the field because I mean, Braille and Allen had a 94% snap rate last week. I actually think both these guys are in fantastic positions because both these are bad run defenses. But I will lean to Judkins just because of the check downs from Deshaun Watson. Do you have them in that range of RB 16, RB 17? I've got them up. Yeah. And this is RB 17. Braille and Allen has RB 18. So snucked up right together in that. I feel like after them is where the cliff is. Like after those two running backs is where we get into split backfields, grossness, like where you're like the next names in ECR are Emmanuel Wilson, Camp Scataboo, Bucky Irving, who of course already played and was great. Ramadre Stevenson, David Montgomery, H. Corey Croskey, Merritt. These are the names that come up immediately after those two minutes. That's some serious disrespect to Emmanuel Wilson. I'm just going to throw that out there. I think he should be ranked higher. I've got I've got Emmanuel Wilson higher than both these running backs this week. Do you agree with that fits? No, I've got Wilson rank below both of these guys. Wilson, the Seahawks basically took the lead six minutes into the game against the charges last week and never trailed after that. They had a really positive run script. I don't know if that happens as much against the 49ers this week. Like it's it's going to be a different type of game for them. So by the way, just in this game, I think it's interesting. Jets minus two and a half is the consensus on betting pros.com. Who do you guys like on the side? I've already bet the Browns. I think the Browns win. Yeah, I'd take the Browns money line easily. Another week of the Browns in first place. You're expecting that's as a Ravens fan. I'm sure you're very happy about this. The big big match of Ravens versus Browns next week and week six. That'll be exciting. Next game, Colts at Steelers. I didn't really have a good compelling angle on this game. So I just wanted to kind of leave this pretty open. I want you guys to pick one player from this game who is too high in the week five expert consensus rankings and one player who is too low. Debra, I'll start with you. So Warren, I need you to tell me where is Josh Downs in ECR this week. Because I, I'm just down on Daniel Jones. I'm go over it. Go wide receiver 23. Yeah, I'm not there. And this is not a Josh Downs thing. This is a Daniel Jones can't move. He can't throw the ball. He looks like 2025 Kirk Cousins. He looks god awful. Like in a pushover matchup last week, he looked like a mannequin and commanders were like, okay, we'll just push over the plastic figure here. So Josh Downs, I've got to push him lower than ECR this week. Also, you're looking at Pittsburgh. They haven't done a lot of things amazing, but versus slot receivers, they have been strong 14 fewest yards per target, seven fewest fantasy points per opportunity. So I think Josh Downs should go down in ECR. And I love Roman Wilson this week. No Michael Pittman Jr. Roman Wilson has been widest for 24 and wide receiver 18 a weekly scoring over the last two weeks. He's had almost an 18 percent target share. He's been phenomenal on a per route basis 3.83 yards per route run. And where we talked about this earlier in the week, but Aaron Rodgers has morphed into James Rodgers. He has been going full yolo over the last two weeks. Aaron Rodgers has just been like, I don't care. He's down there somewhere. He's top five in deep all rate. The catchable target rates low, but if he's chucking up, we're going to get some big plays and oh, by the way, Roman Wilson's going against the secondary that's given up the second most yards per target and the eighth most fantasy points per opportunity to opposing slot receivers. Love Roman Wilson. Yeah, if neither of you picked Roman Wilson for this, I was going to bring him up. And it's not that I'm like, he's been a top 24 receiver two weeks in a row. I'm not saying he should be ranked. It's at the top 24. He's it's sick. Exactly six targets in every game this season. Just three receptions in each of the last two weeks. So it's not like he's completely blown things out of the water, but he's ranked his wide receiver 49. To me, that is just too low, especially knowing that Michael Pittman is going to be out against this defense. The way Rodgers has been throwing it fits where you add on these players. The only Colt, I think I'm above consensus on his Josh Downs and just by like one spot. And Debra was a good point about the the Steelers being better against slot receivers than outside receivers. And I just last week Downs had three catches for 16 yards on four targets against the commanders a down week for sure. But in weeks two and three had 20 targets. And without Alec Pearce, I think Josh Downs is usually going to be a pretty big part of the Colts passing game. He just wasn't last week for whatever reason. And then someone maybe I'm lower on the consensus DK Metcalf. I've got him at wide receiver 21, which puts me something like four spots below consensus. It just seems like rankers don't quite know how to handle Metcalf. So these, there tends to be a lot of recency bias in DK Metcalf's weekly rankings. Like Metcalf has a bad game. He's a wide receiver three the next week. He is a good game like you did last week against the Browns when he won over a hundred yards. Suddenly his ECR is in the top 20 at wide receiver. So Colts, they've been much better against outside receivers than slot guys. So this isn't necessarily a great matchup for DK. But against the Browns last week, the Steelers sometimes moved Metcalf into the slot to get him out of Denzel Ward's coverage. And he did some damage against some of the other cornerbacks from the slot. Maybe they do the same thing this week and get Metcalf out of sauce gardeners coverage. Do you agree fits with do you row me that Roman Wilson is too low? Because I mean, there's, there's a gap of what 32 spots between them in the wide receiver rankings with Metcalf's at 17 and and Roman Wilson's at wide receiver 49. I would have said no until Pittman was scratched because last week against the Browns, Roman Wilson only played like 22 out of 71 offensive snaps. He just wasn't getting enough snaps. Still had a decent number of targets. Like he was involved when he was playing, but he was just not getting enough snaps to make him be a real bankable guy for fantasy. But now with no Pittman, he's going to play a lot more snaps. I think he's in the flex conversation this way. Pittman being out is a big part of that for me for sure. Carnaltate is coming off his best game. Looks like he might be breaking out early in his rookie season. What are your expectations for Tate against a Texans defense? We expected to be elite, but it's looked pretty poor through the season's first month. Debron, I'm throwing to you. Also, I will mention Carnaltate off the injury report. He was on there earlier this week. There's a few in a couple of minutes go that he is off it for this week. So just to note that on Carnaltate, where you at on him this week? I mean, I feel good about Carnaltate that really my carnaltate worries go back to it's a cam ward conversation. What can cam ward do versus pressure? Can he get him catchable targets? Because Carnaltate's been getting this role and he's been getting the target share all freaking season and he's been getting open. It's been a cam ward problem and it's going to continue to be a cam ward problem because cam ward's still struggling. So like, I feel good about Carnaltate. I worry about cam ward, but Carnaltate to the point like, dude, he's getting the Malik neighbors role that we thought he was going to get like among 79 qualifying receivers. Carnaltate, seventh in target share with 26.9%. He's top 20 in yards per route run. He's third in area yard share with 50.1%. He's top 20 in first downs per route run. He's
six them first read share at 36%. He's getting a crap ton of volume. It just comes down to can cam Ward give him any catchable targets. And if he does, the carnal tape will have a really good game. So right now, like, I've got carnal tape at White Receiver 22. Now could that crash and burn if cam Ward crashes and burns? Absolutely. But could carnal tape pay off on that because of the volume that he's seeing and the fact that the Houston Texans versus perimeter White receivers have been quite bad. Third most shards per target, fourth most fantasy points per opportunity, a wide range of outcomes for carnal tape. But I lean slightly on the positive side slightly. He's White Receiver 22 in consensus. So you're exactly aligned with the ECR here. It's kind of similar to running back again. I mean, we talked about to the top of the show with bi weeks and injuries. It's very quick. It gets ugly real quick. I've been after Tate. I'm not saying that you wouldn't want to start any of these guys, but just there's there's not a ton of degree of confidence in some of these names who are ranked behind him. So even if you feel like, oh, man, paired with cam Ward going up into Texans, this is like a tough situation for a guy like Tate and his fourth career game, Josh Downs, Romeo Dobbs, Defond Diggs, Deba Samo, Malik Washer, Denzel Boss. So those are names that I'm interested in starting to varying degrees. But there's not a lot of like, oh, no doubt about it. These guys are stars who clearly should be way higher than him. So I totally get the ranking. Fits, where are you at on Carnell Tate? Why do you see for 22? Like I said, in consensus in DeBrow basically gave my whole card. Nell Tate's spiel word for word. And then he had Carnell Tate ranked six spots higher than I do. Oh, that, that was two of them, Fitsy. Like I feel like this whole low-end wide receiver two wide receiver three quadrant is an absolute quagmire this week. It's like, you're parsing and to fit to Warren's point. I don't think Stefan digs plays. Like I don't think the commanders, they're only healthy wide receiver might be Antonio Williams. If he's the only man left standing, am I ranking him higher versus the giants this week than Carnell Tate? Maybe. I don't know, man. It's, it's a wild week. Yeah. I mean, the usage numbers with Tate have been great. But his usage was good the first three weeks. And the surface stats were still pretty bad. Like he more than doubled his receiving yardage from the first three weeks with his big game last week. And I like Carnell Tate. And it was good to see him pop last week. But I, I like you deeper. I still have trust issues with Cam Ward and the the Titans passing game. And there's that expression about the the genie being out of the bottle. And you can't put it back in with the Titans passing game. You can probably stick that genie right back in the bottle. Yeah. And even though the Texans have given up more fantasy points to wide receivers than any other defense, I still struggle to see the Texans as being a good matchup for the Titans passing game. Yeah. I mean, not when you've got Will Anderson and Danielle Hunter able to come in and terrorize Cam Ward off the edge. Like, I don't feel super confident about Carnell Tate. So the only thing that I was going to add to that and I'm double checking this right now, Will Anderson popped up with a DMP on Wednesday. He got a limited practice in on Thursday. But if he doesn't play in this game, that's a plus obviously for Cam Ward. Um, real quickly before we move off of this guys. Do you think the Tennessee Titans are in the quarterback market in the draft next year? Because everything we've seen for Cam Ward, I fully believe that not be. I fully believe Cam Ward looks the same way in December as he does right now. And they have a top five pick in a class with all these great options that we expect to have there. New coach and they're sitting there on the if they're on the clock and arch or Dante Moore or like who I mean, again, there's there's a million quarterbacks. But whoever your quarterback of choice is is available. I think it would be a dereliction of duty by the front office to say, Hey, well, we, you know, like just because we drafted Cam Ward two years ago, we have to give him a third year when he just hasn't looked like he's got it. And maybe some of that isn't his fault. Right? Maybe Brian Davos doing him no favors. The office environment doing him no favors. But then too, I'm always going to give a guy a second year. You got to show me something to get a third year, especially if you have this natural path to getting another quarterback in there. They were picking like 20th different story. You're going to be picking, you know, top five in a class with great quarterbacks. I think you have to consider it. If you're picking top five or top three, it's probably because Cam Ward has played poorly over the balance of the season. So I just, I, I, I hate what we've, I hope he turns it around, man, but it's, it's he just looks like he's struggling on multiple, like so many different levels, like reading coverages, his mechanics, his pocket, like everything is just bad. I actually think this is good news for the Titans because he's making it obvious that he's not taking that step. Like if he was, if he took like a half step forward and it was like, well, maybe you can argue he's ascending. And now, uh, he was on the bright shung trajectory. Basically, what you're laying out? Well, I'm saying like the fact, yeah, if, I mean, I would rather you draft a Josh Rosen, then like, I don't know, a Bryce Young, where who's looking good this year, but like, we're in year four and it's still like, is he the guy we should get the big contract to? Well, now we know. And I'm not saying the Josh Rosen's a better than Bryce Young, obviously, but like, I'd rather just know that he's not going to be a star. And we can move on. Now, he can change my mind about that this season. It's still, you know, it's only been four weeks. I'm not saying he's done, but I'm saying if he looks in December the way he looks in September of this year, then yeah, I think you've seen enough to say, hey, it's kind of making this decision easy for us where the decision is not easy as work. It's really tricky for franchises and they sometimes hamstring themselves. Yep. Agreed. Let's go to the next game here. Giants at commanders. How are you guys ranking key players on the commanders with Jayden Daniels returning in this game fits? Oh, man. Well, with all the past catchers and the ambiguity about the status of Kerr and McLaren and Stefan Diggs, I guess it's really hard. We have to wait and see on those guys. And if those guys are both out, I might be willing to play Antonio Williams. I still don't think I'd play Chico Conquo. I've got Daniels himself, Frank, QB 11. And I've got Jacori Croskey Merit, RB 23. I think I'm pretty well above consensus on him after his bad game last week, but there's such a big difference in the offensive environment when you have Jayden Daniels at quarterback versus Ethan Caliac Manus. So yeah, like the volume has been pretty good for Jacori Croskey Merit, and I kind of want to lean into that, especially with all these past catchers injured. Croskey Merit is at RB 23, in consensus. All right. I'm on consensus, then. I thought I was above Debra. So how I'm projecting this currently, I don't think Stefan Diggs and Terry McCorme play. Neither one of them have practiced dealing with hamstring issues. So I think we're going to get the Antonio Williams week. And if that is the case, I mean, dude, Antonio Williams considering by weeks and all of these injuries, I could start making the case for Antonio Williams at high and wide receiver three anywhere from high and wide receiver three to low and wide receiver two, considering there is nobody else to catch passes. That's a really sizable jump. He's wide receiver 50 right now in consensus. I mean, there's nobody else though. Who else is going to threaten him for a target share this week? He will be the unquestioned wide receiver one. Like who's coming out of the woodwork to do that? I don't see anybody like chick. No, doubtful. Trailing Berks has been sneaky. I don't want to say sneaky good, but like sneaky. Sneaky. We'll just say sneaky. I mean, I get it. It's just hard for me to say like, oh, this is a rookie who's in his fifth career game. And his last three weeks, he's had what a combined 60 yards, no touch. Yeah, I'm like, he had one callback. Let's give the man respect. Yeah, we'll call back by penalty. And also last week, he was second on the team and first read share with 24% and at a 19% target share. So deep rentalics are good on him. But to fit this point with Bill, it's like, I've got him as a low end RB two. I've got him at RB 24 right now. But that's more of a state of just the position than I think any kind of belief in Bill. And my worries about Bill or more of this offensive line is horrible. Like Bill doesn't even have a yard before contact per attempt. He's getting hit at or behind the line of scrimmage on over 50% of his rushing attempts. So like he has no room to run. Maybe that changes a little bit versus the giants. But I think we already kind of played that game too when they played the cults in their bad run defense. And then he still didn't have any room to run. So volume, I guess rules the day. But I mean, Bill could be anywhere from a low end RB two to a high in RB three. It really just comes down to does he get a touchdown or not this week? So Debra, where are you ranking? Jane Daniels, if you're expecting him to be missing his top two targets in his return. It's QB 10 in ECR right now. I've got him at QB 11. But you know, again, when we get the clarity on the injuries, do I drop him a few more spots? Do I move somebody like Jordan Love above him? Maybe. Because the thing about Jane Daniels is how much is he going to run when he's got a brace on his other arm and he cannot brace himself when he goes to fall or even when he slides. And I don't know, what does his ball security look like when he has to like, can he hold the ball and grip it tightly on the army? He has the brace. So does he actually run at all this this week or very sparingly? Yeah. No, I totally agree. Fitz, where are you ranking Daniels quickly? QB 11. I love it. Okay. So you guys are both just one spot behind ECR right now. Next game here in the Sunday early slate, Bearsat Packers, speaking of Bears, RIP to Mike Dicca, who passed away this morning. Obviously, it's one of the all-time legends of the NFL history. Yeah, lots of, lots of folks, you know, shared memories about him earlier today. So I just wanted to at least mention that. But yeah, Bearsack, you know, Packers week two, just like, you know, very, very, I, it's never happy, but sad timing for sure. Bearsat Packers though,
uh, Fitz Christian Watson and Matthew Golden are ranked just four spots apart in the week five wide receiver consensus rankings, who was better suited to a big game against the Bears defense. If this match had been happened a few weeks ago, I might have tried to look and see who was more likely to line up on Jalen Johnson's side most of the day and who was more likely to line up against Tyrick Stevenson and pick whoever was going up against Stevenson, but Jalen Johnson is not that good. Like he doesn't appear to be the same guy he used to be. Um, I know the Bears play a lot of single high safety and Christian Watson is better against two high than single high, but Watson isn't bad against single high. Um, basically, I'm, I'm not really factoring coverage in how I'm ranking these guys. I've Watson ranks slightly higher. I still think he's the better player, but I want to see what Debra has to say. I'm with Watson on this one and to your point, Fitz, he like Watson's been better versus single high. And so this splits are very interesting. So like Watson, so by the way, Chicago runs single high on 63% of their defensive snaps. Watson versus single high, 25% target per round run rate, which is equal to Matthew golden, but their yards per round run are quite different Watson, 1.98 now to your point, Fitz, he, Watson versus too high as elite, like he's over three yards per round run. But golden is only at 1.27 yards per round run versus single high. And this has been a thing. So golden whenever he had like the moments last year, he was Green Bay's two high guy in the splits. Last year, we're also held up where he was much better versus too high than single high. So I lean on the Watson side, but this is if you got either one of them, you're starting them this week. So do you agree with both of them being inside the top 16, Debra, because that's where they are in consensus. Yes. I can't run the ball. The Bears past defense has been improved, but I'm not scared of their outside corners. Like Fitz, he's talking about like Jalen Johnson and Tyrick Stephenson, they'll put any amount of fear in me. Where's the defense is coming in as well, rested as you can be not coming off a buy considering the 32 snaps they played just lastly, you could defense, but but yeah, Fitz, you have these guys both inside the top 16 as well. I have golden 17, okay. But still a midwater see for two there. So very excited. Where's Watson for both of you guys? He's watched your 12th in consensus. 10. Oh, no, no, no, sorry. 13. I'm one off consensus. I've got him at 11, but same area code. I've got Watson at 11. I've got golden at 16. Okay. Yes. So four to five spots apart for both of you. Same with consensus. Fitz, are the packers going to pull out a weight in this one? I don't know, man. Is the spread. I actually, I took the Bears on the money line last week when they open as an underdog because I thought that was messed up as, as do betters everywhere because they bet it over to the Bears being a two and a half point favorite. So I don't know, I feel like it's going to be a close game packers probably going to lead and blow it again. That seems to be their ammo against the Bears. If you believe in any sort of like, you know, karma of this being the week that, you know, we lose Mike Dicke, then maybe you would want to lean towards the Bears as well as some sort of spiritual, you know, victory there to I think the Bears win, but I do, I'm agree with it. See, like I think it's a close game. Yeah. And the line suggests it's a close game, so I'm on board with that too. Let's get into the late slate here guys Broncos at chargers, it took me a while to come up with the question for this one because boys, it's just an on fun game, just two teams that have very much disappointed to offenses that are very much disappointed, uh, just really not like sitting here super excited looking forward to this one. Um, I did put this together before Sean Peyton, it was kind of announced that he was going to be taking back overplay, colleague duties, as many of us expected was going to happen eventually. So I didn't take that angle with this. I really just asked about the running backs here, which are Arby from this game. Do you guys rank higher for this week? Um, Mary and Hampton or RJ Harvey, you know, and you can take any consideration. Of course, that shot Peyton is now calling those plays again, Debra, I'm going with Hampton in this one. Um, McDaniel, please, this, this is, let me talk to you for a second here, please, please give the ball to Mary and Hampton, please stop doing idiotic things, please stop running out Keaton Mitchell, please stop playing, come on, we do video, please stop this three headed running back nonsense, please, I, I, I, I, I, I, I'm begging you, because I'm Mary and Hampton on a per touch basis is not been bad guys, like 46 qualifying running backs. He's 18th and explosive run rate. He's 8th best in yards of to contact for attempt. This feels like a game where if the chargers want any semblance of hope to beat the Broncos, you lean on Hampton and you run the freaking ball because the Broncos run defense is god awful. They're giving up the 5th highest explosive rate, explosive run rate and the highest mistackle rate, give the ball to Hampton, please. Uh, Mike, McDaniel heard your request and he responded with the pond stars meme of the guy going, best I can do is eight carries and one, I, I, I wouldn't get your hoots. That's going to be a tweet from the fantasy pros account, by the way, that, that, that definitely needs to be a thing, by the way, uh, I'm sorry, where, where did you say you actually have these guys ranked, zebra? Oh, I've got Hampton right now at RB 20, because there's so many injured running backs right now. He could be anywhere from a low end RB two to a high end RB three. I do have him over RJ Harvey and I will have him over RJ Harvey. That's because of how I'm projecting this game and, and what I'm hoping the chargers do. Now does that mean that they're going to do it? No. Doesn't mean they're going to do it at all. His last week I were in Hampton dealt with like a three at a community. He was third amongst the three backs in that backfield and stab share. So there's volatility here. So maybe I'm just wish casting guys. Hampton is RB 24 and consensus fits. RJ Harvey is RB 27. How do you see it? You've got Harvey RB 25 and Hampton RB 31. I have no interest in playing on Mary and Hampton. Last week it was 26 snaps for Keaton Mitchell, 25 for Hampton, 25 for Kamani Vidal. Three-way committee running behind a terrible offensive line that's once again really bad in the middle and now the tackles are both hurt again. Roshan Slater is going to be out with a high ankle sprain and I don't know if Joe all has a chance to play, but he heard his neck last week. The offense is just kind of broken for the chargers and I know the Broncos statistically have missed a lot of tackles, but didn't most of those come against the Chiefs and Kenneth Walker and week one like I don't know if that's been a necessarily a run defense. I want to pick on at least not since that first week. Like Harvey has 20 catches in three games and he had 10 last week. Now, 10 isn't anomaly, but he's at at least four catches in every game. His past catching is more bankable than Omerian Hampton's touchdown scoring and Hampton's three TVs are the only reason he's RB 22 and fantasy scoring like he has been touchdown dependent. He's totally uninvolved as a pass catcher, which is really kind of a drag because he was a good pass catcher last year. Mike McDaniel not involving him at all in the passing game. So yeah, I'll just I'll take Harvey. You know, Sean Peyton running back to catch a lot of passes and Harvey has caught a lot of passes. I don't want to waste any more time on that game. Let's go to the next one. Lions at Cardinals. We've seen enough this season to know that the Lions defense is very much worth picking on in fantasy. So even though he's been one of the biggest disappointments in the league this season and across recent seasons, are you at all open to the possibility, Debro, of starting Marvin Harrison Jr. This week? No, I'm not doing it. He is a seven percent target here. His yards per route run is not even a clipsing one. No. I'm more likely to start Isaac Tesla this week than I am Marvin Harrison Jr. No. Marvin Harrison Jr caught a touchdown last week and still was wide receiver fifth, but he still was wide receiver 53 on the week, which is I don't know if I saw I can't I know it's the only catch he had of course, but I just can't remember the last time I saw a player with a touchdown in the game outside the top 50 amongst receivers. Ryan Thomas Jr. Probably says hi versus the Bengals. Yeah, probably. I just looked at that one. Same. Same as that line basically. Yeah. It's a fits. Are you at all open? I mean, Marvin Harrison. He's wide receiver 42. I should say consensus. I'm starting him in a league where you have to start a lot of flaxis. I am starting him in one league and there are some injuries and I might have like a buy or two in that league. It's kind of out of necessity more than wanting to, but you know, on one hand, you've got this lion's past defense that's been awful giving up 327 passing yards a game. But on the other hand, yeah, Debron mentioned that the 7.2% target share is 0.62 yards throughout run as the number, which is so bad. Jacobi Bressette's passer rating on throws to Marvin Harris in the season is 55.0. Just to put that number in a perspective, JJ McCarthy's passer rating last season was 72.6. Wow. 17.6 points higher than the Jacobi Bressette passer rating.
throws to Marvin Harrison Jr. So it's been really bad. And if Marvin Harrison Jr. bricks against the Lions, you'll know that all hope is lost. Yeah. I'm starting him in two leagues. One just absolutely hammered by injuries at the position and and by weeks this week to the other league is a 16 team league. Those are the two scenarios that I have started. Marvin Harrison Jr. this week, uh, Fitz Marvin Harrison Jr. Or Roman Wilson. Oh, because I know I know D Rose answer, but I'm curious what it'll, it'll, it'll be Roman Wilson for me. Okay. Yeah. I think that's correct. I just want to double check. Uh, all right. That's sad. Uh, let's go to the last game in the late afternoon slate here. 49ers at C Hawks. The 49ers offense has looked absolutely terrific this season. But they have historically struggled pretty consistently against Mike McDonald defenses that dates back to when McDonald was the Baltimore defensive coordinator. It's also carried over today's time in Seattle, of course. So I'm asking you this, who wins the battle between the San Francisco offense and the Seattle defense this week, Fitz. The Seattle defense. Um, uh, C Hawks pass defense continues to be amazing. Their opponent pass rating this season 67.6 also lower than JJ McCarthy's pass rating from last season. But higher than Jacobi resets pass rating and throws to Marvin Harrison Jr. Um, C Hawks are only giving up three point six yards per rush attempt. C Hawks have the NFL's best defense. Um, and full that Kyle use check out for the 49ers within the injury. He's kind of an unsung hero of the 49ers offense. Just a big part of so many of the things Kyle Shanahan wants to do. So I don't think the 49ers offense is going to click the way it has against this defense. The first time McDonald faced the Niners offense with Seattle. He allowed, I think it was like 36 points in that first time he faced him in 2024. Every other matchup since then, it's been 17 points, 17 points, three points and six points. He has really shut them down. D. Row. Do you expect that to happen again this week? Yeah. I think this is going to be a low scoring game. I think it's going to be gross. Uh, the only thing where I think the 49ers have a little bit different composition of weapons. And I know that he's not 100% but the man is, he's an iron man. And in when he's been on the field, even last week, he was freaking awesome as Mike Evans. Like Mike Evans is going to have to be a difference maker in this game. And his, his numbers versus two eye coverage, uh, which Seattle runs at almost 60% of defensive snaps have still been awesome. This year, 33% target per route run rate, 3.1 yards per route run. So for the 49ers to show anything different than what we have seen previously versus Seattle, Mike Evans is going to have to play a big here. And I just, I don't know if he's healthy enough to do that, but I'm not also not going to discount it because that man is a, he's a gladiator. He's awesome. So I, I, I lean on the, the side of the Seattle defense, but I do think this game is going to be gross. And I still think the 49ers have a chance to win it. So what do you like on, on the, I guess, a spread because it's, uh, right now goal. That's laying a field goal for Seattle at home. I don't think, I think this should, if this wasn't in Seattle, it'd be closer to a pickup. I think I don't think Seattle covers. I think it's going to be whoever has the ball last. So if it, if it had got his eyes three and a half, I would like the Niners. I think even just sitting at three, I like, I like Seattle again, just historically, what McDonald's done to Shanahan offense is, what do you think fits about that spread? Seattle. And, uh, Seattle's just Niners fans won't want to hear this, but Seattle has had their number in this series over the last couple of decades. Last 45 games between these two teams, Seattle 30 and 15 against the Niners. Hmm. Yeah. Really fun game. Honestly, what's the game of the week? Is it 49ers, Seahawks or is it Rams, uh, bills? It's a Ramsville. I mean, Ramsville is the more fun one, but this is obviously you get the divisional matchup here. It's team teams with a lot of history. Rams bills. Because you, like everybody's like, okay, is this a Super Bowl preview? Oh, Ramsville. Yeah. I, I, I, see what you're doing, Warren. I'll still say I think I think divisionally makes it a rock fight. That's like 13 to six. No, both fantastic games. That's real football, though. Uh, all right. Sunday night football Ravens at the Falcons. Obviously, this would have been, I think, a very fun matchup as well. If Lamar was healthy, he, of course, is not not practicing on Friday, either, um, historically, when Lamar doesn't practice at all during the week, he does not play. Uh, Jesse Mitter did say that like he's capable of playing without practicing. I don't think he's going to play this, this Sunday, even though the Ravens haven't yet ruled him out as of the time of this recording. So if we're assuming that Lamar doesn't play, how far are you knocking down Zay flowers in your rankings? Uh, we talked about this a bit on the Thursday show of fits. So, um, I'll start with DeBro again here. Uh, DeBro Zay flowers is ranked where for you out of the assumption Lamar does not play. He's wide receiver nine right now, and he's still going to be a wide receiver one because he's fricking amazing. And I think Tyler Huntley can be good enough versus his Falcons defense. Uh, I just, I believe in the talent and Zay flowers. I believe in everything that he's done so far this year. So I, wherever people want to put him in the top 12 is where I'm going to be at like, I still think he's a top 12 wide receiver. He is wide receiver nine in a, and he's here. By the way, he's listed technically in like on our rankings as questionable with the foot. That does not, that seems to be a non factor. And I'm with you though. I don't think Lamar plays. I, yeah, Lamar. I don't give Blower any shot to play this week. I don't think he's playing at all. Fits wide receiver eight. And when Huntley has played with flowers in the past, um, he's still targeted flowers at a really high rates. It's just been a lower average depth of target than it's been with Lamar. So plus with the way this Deckland oil offense has operated the first few weeks, it's clear that Zay flowers is going to be heavily involved in the passing game. And I don't see any reason that's going to differ this week. Yeah. He's the dude. I, I do worry a little bit about, and I said this on an earlier show. Actually, I might say this with, I chose it both of you guys this week. Just that I'm worried that Tyler Huntley isn't quite the fit with the Deckland oil offense that he was with the Todd monkey and our Greg Roman offenses previously. And like Lamar has a skill set that I was very excited about his pairing with Deckland oil. I don't feel that same way about Tyler Huntley. So I do worry that the offense will look a little different this week. But Debar, you made this point on the Thursday. Starts a live stream that, you know, we're not going to have a whole week of oil game planning around Tyler Huntley and his strengths and skillsets. So my dog is barking right next to the desk right now. So he clearly disagrees with me fading Zay flowers. It hurt me all suffer. Maybe I'll hardly get in this week. But just I'm just a little nervous for that reason in terms of what but but again, I also don't want to over react to the second half of of the game against the Titans, where that was a pretty unique situation. He came in cold, just trying to hang on to a big lead already. So like I do think it will look different in this than it did in that one. Before you get off this game, I want to ask you guys about your favorite prop bets this week. We have the prop bet cheat sheet at bettapros.com. Every week we talk about our favorite three or four star bets in this segment of the show fits. I'll start with you. What's your favorite prop bet cheat sheet bet this week? Tyler Huntley's passing yardage number is really low 174.5. I'll take the over on that like it. That's a that's a three star by the way. Mark Andrews over 30 and a half for saving yards. It's a four star bet. Atlanta has been quietly shredded by Titans. They gave up 15.6 PPR points to Pat Fryermuth. They gave up 18 plus PPR points there in Waller. John Johnson could have got a touchdown and been in the 18 range too. So I think Mark Andrews who's quietly been very good on a per route basis. It's the over here. The Falcons are opponents are throwing on the Falcons like 72.8% of the time. They are the biggest past funnel defense in the league. Now of course, the Ravens are not going to completely abandon Derek Henry. They're not going to throw 72.8% of the time this week, but they're going to throw enough to get Huntley over his number and probably Andrews over his number two. Yes, or Parlium. All right, guys, Monday night football. The big one this week as you guys decided bills at Rams. Obviously, one of the best games of the weekend, one of the highest totals we've seen this year, at 54 and a half. It's a battle between the top two teams in current Super Bowl consensus odds, not to mention the league's two most recent MVP winners. There's a lot of reasons why this is an awesome game. So simply give me a final score prediction here, along with the projected player of the game, Zebra. 31, 28 bills. I just think Josh Allen has one of those Josh Allen games, man. And I don't I don't think DJ Moore is going to play in this game, but I think this could be what we've seen. Tian Coleman is the Rashad Bateman of this offense. So he's the, you know, the White receiver handcuff. They're going to be able to run the ball. So yeah, I'll take bills, 31, 28. And I think the player of the game for this prediction also happened. I think James Cook's going to need a big night. So I'll go with James Cook. Fits. Bill's 34 Rams 31 and who else but Josh Allen could be the player of the game if the bills went. Yep. Yep. It's good call. I didn't put together a final score prediction or projected player of the game, but it will tie in to my fresh from the oven take brought to you by Dijorno, just like a pizza fresh out of the oven. These takes were about to give you our hot fresh and ready for Monday night guys. We're going to do this every Monday night game here going through the rest of the season. We're
I'd give you our fresh from the oven takes brought to you by disjure. No fits. What is your bold prediction from Monday night football this week? Another touchdown catch for Keon Coleman on the heels of his touchdown catch last week. Touchdown catch for Keon Coleman as the bold prediction for you. I don't know. I didn't I meant to look it up. What that number would be anytime touchdown. We checked online. I didn't check that. But I would imagine you get halfway decent odds on that. Debro, what's your bold prediction? But right now, my bold prediction is that Kyron Williams will be the RB1 in fantasy, the overall RB1 in fantasy this week. And for anybody that has Kyron, this doesn't sound bold to you because you're saying, well, he was the RB1 overall and all of fantasy land last week. I just want to give some numbers to everybody out there real fast and tell me, who does this sound like in terms of usage over the last two weeks? This running back has had a 76.1% snap share. He's averaged 23.5 touches. 152.5 total yards had an 18% target share in 2.14 yards per route run. If your mind immediately goes to Christian McCaffrey, you're right. Kyron Williams has been used like CMC over the last two weeks in a big game. I think that can happen again. And it's not like the bills run. The defense is any good. My bold prediction for this one is I didn't, again, I didn't put an actual score prediction on this like we did in the segment. But I think the bills not only win, I think they win by double digits. And that is not intended to be a knock on the Rams. I just love Josh Allen as an underdog. And Josh Allen has not played his greatest the last couple of weeks. Obviously lots of turnover is against the chargers. He didn't finish strong against the Patriots. I think that he comes out prime time Monday night football in LA against the other Super Bowl favorite as an underdog. I think he absolutely shows out. And I think we finish this game. And the bills are now going to be Super Bowl favorites coming out of this one. I think it'll be them and whoever wins nine or C-hawks will be sort of the clear two favorites in those odds. And Josh Allen will be the clear favorite MVP again. I'm not saying you'll pay that way the rest of the season. But I think coming out of this game, that's where we'll be at. I think he has an amazing game and the bills win by at least 10 points. That is my bold prediction. By the way, Debro, thank you for looking it up. He dropped it in the chat. He on Coleman plus two 50 on the on the touchdown odds there for fitzes. Both prediction. Those were your fresh from the oven takes brought to you by DeGiorno. Make Monday night pizza night with fresh from your oven taste. It's not delivery. It's DeGiorno guys. We'll go ahead and wrap things up there. Super fun week five slate. Really excited for this one.
