Week 4 Fantasy Football RANKINGS & Tiers: QB, RB, WR, & TE + Starts & Sits (10/01 Fantasy Football Podcast)

The week four fantasy football rankings emphasize injury impacts, matchups, and depth over projected performance. Jalen Warren emerges as a top running back due to a short week and Rico Duarte’s absence, offering strong upside against the Browns. Other running backs like Seikwam Barkley and Duvante Williams face difficult defensive matchups, reducing their fantasy value. The Dolphins backfield is deemed unreliable, with poor production from both Jalen Wright and Ali Gordon. Aaron Jones stands out as a must-start due to a favorable matchup and increased target share. Braille and Allen are viewed as solid low-end RB2 options, while Amari and Hampton are considered risky due to inefficiency. For wide receivers, Puka Nakua’s return and increased targets make him a top pick, though Devonte Adams may be limited by injury concerns. Quarterbacks Tyler Schuck and Jared Goff are highlighted as top starts, benefiting from defensive injuries and offensive volume, while others like Justin Herbert and Kyler Murray are sidelined due to inconsistent performance. Tight ends like Kenyan Sedica and Darren Waller benefit from favorable matchups, while others like Harold Fanon and Tucker Craft are considered low-value due to lack of production. Ultimately, the analysis prioritizes matchups, injury context, and recent performance trends to guide optimal lineup decisions.

[MUSIC] It's a week four ranking show and I don't even know if we have enough players to rank. Everybody's injured right now heading into the scoring period. So hopefully we'll have the answers that you need to get your lineups right. Welcome to Fantasy Football Today. I'm Jamie Eisenberg, that's Dave Richard, that's Heath Cummings. We have a lot to get through as a lot of players are dealing with injuries and replacement options and who's going to be healthy and hopefully number injuries. Stay away injuries, I don't want to talk about injuries anymore. Let's talk about running backs, that's what we're here to start with. We're going to look at the running back rankings, one through 12, four week number four. These are our consensus PPR rankings. You can see them on site, CBSPourse.com. You can see which analyst you like the best and who you want to follow. You can talk about some of these guys that are going to hopefully play well. Let's start with the guy at number nine. Jalen Warren coming off a huge week three game against the Bengals. He gets the Browns on Thursday night. Dave Richard is going to be an encore performance for Jalen Warren because we know Rico Dottel is out with that talent. I don't know if it's going to be quite as good because I do believe in this Browns defense to a degree. Remember they're playing on a short week after going 77 snaps, but I certainly think Jalen Warren as the future back, the do it all back for the Steelers can finish us a number one fantasy running back. I haven't ranked that way. Yeah, easy start. One of those guys that was drafted in the middle of the draft, maybe round seven, maybe round eight sometimes, and now all of a sudden he's a starter, which is exactly what we need with the way the rest of the fantasy, but well world looks, give me the Chuba Hubbard numbers from what we could go 15 PPR points without a touchdown. That would be awesome. I think Jalen Warren can absolutely do that. He's just been great every time he's been featured running back in Rico Dottel again, not going to play in tonight's game. Let's talk about the running back rankings 13 through 24. This is where a lot of the decisions come in and I promise you we're going to talk about the dolphins backfield, the Saints backfield, the Jets backfield, some of these other situations that you've got a promise or a threat. Oh, it depends how you look at it. I think when we look at this list, we start to get into some questions about guys that I think we probably started the season as a must start options and we'll start with the guy at 13 here. He's Seikwam Barkley has not been a great fantasy running back. Did have the shoulders, finger injury in week two. Is this going to be a great game for him taking on the Rams? I don't think it's going to be a great game for him. This is about five spots higher than I believe I have him ranked at 13. So, it's a tough matchup against a very good defense and if he's not having success running the ball like he was last week, he has a hard time producing fantasy points because he's not near as involved in the passing game as he has been in the past. He's running in the two games where he hasn't left early. He's run about a third of the team's routes. That's a tough play way to get targets. And it's tough for him to score too. I've got him a 13 Jamie and I don't feel too good about it. I think there's a lot more upside in the case to be made for more upside for guys like Jeremiah Love, Aaron Jones, Aaron Jones has the dream matchup this week against Miami. And just going down the list, even the guys like Duvante Wimps, it's a tough matchup for Duvante Wimps. I feel better about his chances of score than I do Seikwamps chances of score. This is just where we're at right now with Seikwamps. So let's talk about Duvante Williams because he's coming off an amazing game last week against Baltimore and now he's facing the toughest run defense in football in Houston. Your defense has not been up to par or what we expected for them, but they have shut down run games. So you think Duvante over Barclay. I don't know if I can do that. I just think Duvante is going to be one of these guys that you're starting because he's on your team and you know he's going to get work. They've shut down some very good running games. Look what they did to Jonathan Taylor last week. It was tough. It was tough for Taylor. What you're hoping for is that he does find the end zone. And Duvante can catch a couple of passes to underneath. Same risks with him. These are both number two fantasy running backs. These are both guys that I don't feel confident in whatsoever. And we've started by talking about Jalen Warren. That's an easy start out of both Sequan Barclay and Duvante Williams. And the only reason why it's that way is because we know that Jalen Warren short-week against the entire defense and he does have just as good of a chance score if not a better chance to score than Duvante and Sequan. I've got Sequan projected for 24 more rushing yards. So I do think he's going to have more success running. Huge game. And Duvante. 24 more than Duvante. But Duvante is touched down odds are higher. And then he's actually been more involved in the passing game than Sequan Barclay has. So I think it's more likely that he catches three passes than Sequan. All right. So there's a look at the top 24 running backs. Let's show you now where it starts to get a lot uglier 25 through 36. And now we'll see some of the backup options coming into play where we're looking at the injury replacements. And you see Alvin Camara on here because Travis Hann is not going to play in week four. He's dealing with the hamstring injury. What do we think about the Saints' backfield because Kendra Miller is going to be involved? It's not like they've been great so far, Heath, in terms of what they've gotten from Travis Hann. Does Camara or Kendra Miller give you any hope in this matchup against Atlanta? I think one of the strangest stories of the first couple weeks of the season or a few weeks of the season is this Falcon's front has actually not been bad. In fact, they've been pretty good in terms of both getting pressure and limiting running backs on the ground. So in this matchup, I don't have a lot of hope. I think the hope is that all of those targets that we saw go to Alvin Camara in his first game in week two, I think he had seven targets, caught five of them for seven yards. You hope that he sees seven targets in the game because the Saints are probably going to throw it 40 times. And you hope that he does more with the seven yards. I will say this, when you look at like opponent stats for what they've done. If they play Green Bay, you're probably going to look good against the run. Certainly. Atlanta coming off the game against Green Bay. Falcon's number four in terms of few as fantasy points allowed to pose in running backs. Dave, let's show the rankings 37 through 48. And this is where the dolphins guys come into play. And everybody's been spent in their fab on Ali Gordon. There was at least one report. Joe Shad does a great job covering the dolphins for the Palm Beach Post. He broke it down from a fantasy perspective, which kind of cool. He said expect two thirds of the work to go to Jalen Wright and the third to go to Ali Gordon and Wright, the more one to one replacement for Devon H.Anne. How do you see the dolphins just long term, short term against Minnesota, but just breaking down this dolphins backfield since Devon H.Anne out for the season with the 20s. I think they're going to struggle. And it almost doesn't matter who they play, maybe along the way this season they'll take on some soft run defenses and they'll be able to have that offensive line playing a little bit better. But it might be toward the back half of the season, like double digit weeks. For this week against Minnesota, I don't want anything to do with the dolphins running backs. Don't see a lot of upside. I agree with Joe that Jalen Wright, and we've seen it before. We've talked about it as recently as last year. When the dolphins played with that Devon H.Anne, Jalen Wright had an edge in playing time and carries every single time. Overall, Alie Gordon and Gordon's really got a poor rushing average, not a very efficient runner. A guy who's going to be useful at the goal line, they've had two snaps inside the five yard line this season. I don't know if I can trust Alie Gordon. I know a lot of people spent their fab to get Alie Gordon. I think Jalen Wright will be the better running back. I doubt either of these guys can get to even nine PPR points. When you have Devon H.Anne struggling and now you're talking about his backups trying to be better than him, hard to expect. So this Dolphins team, not exactly something you want to sink your investments into or your starting lineup and bank on them winning your fantasy team. Let's talk about some guys who could win your fantasy league for you for a week four and the starting running backs that we're looking at here. So if you got Braille and Allen, Davey got Basel too and I got Aaron Jones. So start with Braille and Allen because this is the Jets replacement for a brief haul. Yeah, you got the best option. Let's just say that right off the top. Yeah. So I think Braille and Allen is going to lead this backfield. Isaiah Davis will work in on third downs, but Allen should have 15 touches against the Bears defense. That's not really very good against it about anything. But the worst against the run, they are just terrible. Say Juan Barkley had enormous holes last week. I think Braille and Allen will again this week. I like him as a low-end number two running back. I would start him over a Mario and Hampton. I think I agree with the Hampton call. I definitely like him as a low-end number two. I had to think about that one for a second, but I know I like Basel Tutton better than a Mario and Hampton, and I like Basel Tutton a little bit better than Braille and Allen as well. It's just because what we've gotten from him over the last two weeks, 14 or more PPR points in each game, tough matchup against Cincinnati. That defense is definitely looking better. Not last week. Not last week. Last week they actually fell off a little bit. I still think that the Jaguars want to get their run game going. I really like their offensive line, too, and I think that they will be able to gain some yardage on the ground and Tutton can come through with another solid game as a number two fantasy running back. In Aaron Jones, you said I got the best guy, I got the best matchup, so the offense number one in terms of most fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs. The three main running backs that they faced so far this season, the Hessian-Gente, Christian McCaffrey, Ken Walker, all over 21 PPR points. The thing that I love about Jones last week, I hope it wasn't just the one-to-one because of Jefferson not being there, but finally involved in the past game, had five catches. Let's throw them the ball a little bit more. We know that's a big part of his game, so keep Aaron Jones involved, has top 10 potential as you see. Heath hasn't ranked as a top 10 running back for this week. The guys that were sitting here, if you said you're going to start Braille and Allen over Amari and Hampton, why? Because I am terrified of the Seattle Seahawks defense and I am terrified of Amari and Hampton's rush efficiency and I am terrified of his role in general. Now I've Keaton Mitchell's out, I think that makes things a little bit better for Hampton, but I would actually expect, come on, if I don't play most of the past catching downs, even if Mitchell doesn't play. We saw Hampton last week play a season low 42% of the offensive snaps. He's not a featureback, he's not an efficient back. He's not a past catching back. We might get to a point where this is even a bold statement, if the next three weeks look like the last three weeks. He runs into his offensive lineman all the time. His vision is terrible. He doesn't create yardage. I feel like I've got him right too high. I don't really want to trust Amari and Hampton, especially going up against Seattle and speaking of Seattle on the other side, it's your dying price and this is another running back who I love what I see on film, but I can't trust him because he's sharing with two other running backs in that backfield for Seattle. He's not getting any action near the goal line, not catching enough passes. I want to have Jardarian price on my team. I don't want to start him unless I'm absolutely desperate at running back. I'm just hopeful. It's more hope than anything else that we had the chest injury in week two and that knocked him out And then we see Emmanuel some good 21 carries a lot of that in the fourth quarter Yeah, we have the fumble last week and then things just everything fell apart for them because they lose the game This should be a game where they're playing with the lead There should be a game where they can feature him a little bit more and Holani's a little bit banged up Also, so just something to keep in mind there in terms of three guys Maybe it's just down to two guys so it's tough to say you know that to trust him and you're probably starting in a desperate Situation, I would love to say when we're talking about this next week. Hey remember gerium price week four How awesome he looked now? That's the guy they have at least until exact right turns Quinch on junkins has not played well looking at tonight's game taking on the Steelers They've struggled in a couple different ways in terms of running backs It was Bijon Robinson in week one who we know is going to do a lot of damage to most teams It was one play against New England in week two the 39 yard touchdown run from Treby on Henderson and then they completely shut down chase Brown last week Judkins I thought look better last week, but he's still three games now under 10 ppr points, which is hard to do He's getting a lot of work. He's just not producing no touchdowns If he doesn't score, you're going to be disappointed. I don't know if we'll score in tonight's game taking on the Steelers Some sleeper running backs. He if you already covered mind braille announced. I thank you for letting me talk less But you got Tony Pollard as the guy that you're looking at in this game against Baltimore Can you really trust him? I you know what I'm starting him over on marine Hampton So that's that I don't trust him marine Hampton either So I he is behind basheal tooton and braille and Allen for me, but Pollard has actually been good as a rusher so far this season The Ravens run defense has been bad So while it looks like a terrible matchup when you think Titans versus Ravens I don't think it's actually that bad of a matchup for him as a rusher I don't think Taijai spheres is anywhere close to 100% healthy right now And so it's not quite as big of a split as what maybe what we projected coming into the season Pollard I think had 21 carries last week. He probably won't have 21 carries in this game But he might have 16 to 18 maybe catch two passes. I like Pollard as a low low low end RB2 Dave, I like your call for what he marks because we're starting to hear some rumbling ZSP analyst reporting that they may start to give him more work Is this more of an indication of him or really an indication of that Dave Montgomery is struggling and how much do you like the matchup against Dallas? I like the matchup against Dallas for both running backs But when you watch the two of these guys play it's evident that Woody marks has a little bit more juice Even though their yards per carry averages are kind of similar over the last two weeks And neither one of them are particularly good I was encouraged that Woody marks had a short yardage touchdown last week That's something we rarely saw from him as a rookie That means he's making progress in the coach's minds of being a bigger contributor to what Houston's doing offensively He's also the better passing downs back Houston could be trailing in this game against Dallas So there could be some real opportunities for him to catch a lot of passes on top of maybe even matching Dave and Montgomery in yardage I don't know if he's going to continue to get goal line carries though I think in normal situations you're going to see Montgomery there But short of that I think Woody marks might be able to get you close to 10 ppr points I wish they would just do what they did in week two Which was involved him in the passing game throw him the ball He's such a good pass catcher he wasn't college they just don't use him enough And I think that would help the run game We talked about this on our podcast on on Thursday morning You could also see him just you know being an extension of the run game and just give me see just out easy opportunity So let's see that a little bit more for Woody marks All right, we're going to take a break when we come back You think we talked about a lot of running backs We're going to talk about a lot of receivers as well We're getting your line-ups right for week four. Stay here to fantasy football today Welcome back to fantasy football today We're talking about wide receiver rankings for week number four And some bad news with the injuries Mike Evans questionable with the rib injury We'll find out about Justin Jefferson with the ankle injury But some good news is Pukka Nakua at Nico Collins returning to practice on Wednesday And trending in the right direction to play in week four Let's see where they show up on the ranked list as we take a look at the consensus rankings for ppr One through 12 and there's Puka at number six So we've had two great games of Devonte Adams without Puka Nakua on the field Dave, how does this work with Puka coming back? Maybe at less than a hundred percent But gonna play at least that's the hope And Devonte Adams does he go back to what his role was last year Or is he still going to be the featured guy and maybe better than Puka I toyed with the idea of ranking Devonte ahead of Puka Because Puka might not be at a hundred percent We just don't know but if he's going to be limited in practice all week Then I would think that he will be good to go for the game against Philadelphia And how the Eagles line up and play defense. Usually it's a lot of zone coverage They've got one great corner in Queen John Mitchell that's probably who Devonte Adams is going to see a lot of That makes me nervous about what Devonte Adams can contribute to this game I also think that the Rams might be able to run the ball in this game Makes me a little bit nervous about both of them But Puka Nakua generally gets so many targets And gets so many numbers along with it That you can't help but feel good about starting them And I like Devonte too but he's a number two receiver as long as Puka is playing Did we miss our sell high window? He's on Devonte? Yes Yeah, I would say we probably did. The theory with Devonte Adams was you know maybe this Hip situation is worse than we're hearing with Puka Nakua And he's going to miss an extended period of time And if Puka's coming back and they're saying on a Tuesday that they expect him to play Then he's obviously really really close And I don't think anybody expects Devonte Adams to be a top 12 wide receiver if Puka's healthy Yeah and he was you know very touchdown dependent as we know in 2025 14 touchdowns and 14 games So let's get the touchdowns up And maybe the production that we've seen from a catch in yard perspective can continue as well But hard to say that Devonte Adams as good with Puka on the field Let's show you the rank list 13 through 24 And again, this is where we start to see some questions Is where you'll see Nico Collins on the rank list So good to have him back. Let's hope he's 100% missing the last two games With the hamstring injury. Jalen Waddle comes in at number 20 And he said one great game and two mediocre games So he's when you look at Waddle taking on San Francisco Was in a locking boot but seems to be fine Are we a little concerned about Waddle and becoming a must start wide receiver Is it just we're starting in because of all the injuries and the hope that he's still going to be that guy I am a little bit concerned I'll tell you the truth like when I saw he was 20th on the graphic I thought well I'm lower than that on our aren't I And that's I've got him at 20 And it's just because it's so hard to find guys to rank higher than him But I really feel like while he is ranked as a number two wide receiver I view him as more of a number three wide receiver And you might get a great game and you might get a terrible game I'm not there yet and you know that was a big fan of Waddle going to Denver from the second that that trade went down I think he ran into some really difficult coverage in weeks one and weeks three We two he didn't look what he did just monster game I still think Denver also was working out their their play calling issues And just their offense overall you saw it in the first half last week They were told a disaster and then the second half they rallied And so I am hoping that they're going to be able to continue forward like that They're scheduled at San Francisco this week I think that's actually an easy matchup for them Chargers after that easy Seattle and then Kansas City are two of their next three following those Those are going to be weeks where I'm going to think like he And that Jalen Waddle is going to be a number three wide receiver But you might just have to use him anyway because there are enough Wideouts to go with otherwise I think he can be very very good we saw that in week two This could be one of those weeks I think he's a number two receiver bona fide Let's hope and it's like you said it's a matchup I don't think a lot of people fear we saw last week with what the Cardinals did to the 49ers No Nick Bosa sounds like he's not going to play again. So pass rush to be a little bit easier on Vonix and that Broncos passing game Let's show you the ranked list 25 through 36 and you're going to see a name on here That I don't think a lot of people expected When we knew that he was going to be healthy to start the season That's the guy at number 30 with Malik neighbors We'll talk about Loud McConkey a little bit as well Surprise that he is on this portion of the ranked list also so Is it James Winston? Is it Malik neighbors? Is it the Giants? Like is it it's certainly not the Cardinals? Because again be a Cardinals like why is Malik? Because he's hired for me. He's in the top 24 for me Why are you guys concerned about neighbors? I'm so concerned. I am extremely concerned about James Winston I've watched a lot of football through the first three weeks He's easily the worst quarterback that I've seen play. He's slower to read defenses He's slower to get the ball out His velocity is down at least I think it's down from where it was before I don't think Malik neighbors is somebody that fantasy managers should count on as being even if there's high volume there I don't think that the balls will be there for him Because James Winston can't get it there like he used to I kind of want to see what JJ McCarthy can do We're getting to the point in the season where my projections kind of just believe what we've seen so far And and mostly start to expect the next the next week to look more like the last three weeks And what the last three weeks of look like is Malik neighbors isn't somebody should be rostered in fantasy football Much less started in fantasy football so everything Dave said about james I pretty much agree with And it's really sad to me that the thought we have now is well maybe JJ McCarthy Can say Malik neighbors a year after he killed Justin Jefferson What I will say is if I'm way too low on him you brought it up Arizona has been awful against wide receivers This this is the get right spot if he's bad against the Arizona Cardinals I think we'll all have him ranked in the 40s So that's fair. I think the one thing just there are a couple things take it to account Week one he looked fine and they didn't have a lot of pass volume because of the way that the game unfolded Week two he hurts his shoulder jackson dark gets her james coming in everything for a roster Week three it's in terrible weather They didn't have to do very much and as bad as james looked We know what james is going to be at times. There's going to be a lot of bad There's going to be a lot of people has that levy still has it there There's a big if there and I think Drake May would probably take james Winston's play right now If you don't want to talk about that quarterback plays a lot of season This is really a match up at this point and I think that's the sticking point It's they've been so bad. There have been their fourth worst in terms of or fourth best The most fantasy points allowed to pose in receivers There have been four guys so far this season at least 12.4 ppr points or more I don't think he's going to be great. I think if we all thought he was going to be better You would probably have in the 30s. I'd have him in the teens. You'd have him in the early 20s So we're all cautiously ranking him how we feel. I think about how this all looks I think we're going to get a call and that the Giants are going to have to put up points to match them because I don't think this Giants defense is very good, so I'm hoping we get those fireworks and we see a better performance from league neighbors, but you see there is obvious concern for him going into week four. Let's show you the last list here of Wild Receivers 37 through 48 and we have the guys that are playing in Thursday night's game. You have DK Meccaff in this range, you have Denzel Boston in this range, you have maybe Casey Concepcion in some cases in this range as well. Heath, I know you're a DK Meccaff guy, you've been sticking by him, Dave, I'll give you Denzel Boston, so what are we expecting in Thursday night's performance? I would view DK Meccaff as a boom bust number three wide receiver who so far is pretty much only busted. That being said, I don't think we've seen any evidence yet that Aaron Rogers is going to change the way that he views this receiving room. I think DK is still his clear favorite target and if a guy is getting the targets and the air yards that DK has through the first three weeks, I'm going to give him at least one more week to continue getting that work and see if something good happens. He's another guy though that if this is a bad week, he's going to fall quite a bit in my projections. I love the way that you're viewing him and I agree completely. Denzel Boston, Casey Concepcion, these are wide receivers I really just don't want to start Jamie. It's not because the Steelers' defense is so good. They're not really that good and obviously last week Cincinnati's receivers, those guys are studs, they let them up. The passing offensive of the Browns, nowhere near is good. I know receivers are bad, I know there are injuries that are bad, I don't think it's bad enough that we have to start a Browns Whiteout. If I had to start one it would be Boston, but he's at best the number four fantasy receiver. And they no longer have Joey Porter not that he was expected to play in tonight's game. Anyway, Jalen Ramsey dealing with the wrist injuries, so the secondary could be exposed, but the pass rush is going to be a little bit of a problem for Dishon Watson and the Browns pass game. Let's talk about some starts and sits for week number four. Dave, you got Josh Downs, he's got Devon Vale. Are you coming around? No, Devon Vale. I'm coming around Devon Vale. I got Terry McClure and so Dave kick us off way. What do we love about Josh Downs? This dude is running routes maybe better than anybody in the lead right now. Just unbelievable burst, unbelievable speed. If Daniel Jones were throwing better, he would be an easy start. Fantasy managers aren't necessarily seeing the results. I think they'll see him this week against Washington because the commander's pass rush, not getting to the quarterback. They're secondary, giving up tons of numbers to wide receivers. Six touchdowns to wide receivers through the first three weeks of the season. I think Josh Downs brings a score in and he has a big game on top of it. Yeah, for Vale, it's really just about the volume for the Saints. This offense is running five more plays per game than everybody else. Tyler Schuck leads the NFL in Dropback's percentage. All they do is pass and now they don't have their starting running back. That type of reminder, there's only so many passes you can throw to Chris O'Leary. And so I think we're probably going to see another seven targets for Devon Veile. I don't think the Saints will have any success at all running the ball against Alana. Averaging seven targets per game, two games over 11 PPR points so far for Veile. So he's off to a good start. Terry McClaren did not get off to a good start in week one, but his last two games better from a target perspective last week was his best game so far. You go back to last year, six games with Marcus Mario to four of those games, 14 PPR points or more. So there's a good connection between this quarterback and this receiver hopefully continues in a matchup that they should have some success against. The cults have been bad so far against opposing wide receivers so far this season. Let's talk about some sets. Dave, you got an interesting one here in James and Williams. Not because of his production, because of the team that he's facing. Carolina just put its two starting cornerbacks on IR. This could be a get rights platform. It could be and he's okay as a number three receiver or flex. This is the type of receiver that I would easily start ahead of anybody in the Thursday night game. And you know what the boom bus nature is with him. And through three weeks it's been bust, bust and bust. And the way the Panthers play defense, they really try to limit the big plays downfield. And I think the Lions can say, okay, cool, you're going to take away James and Williams. We're just going to roll with the Monroe St. Brown, Sam LaPorta and Jameer Gibbs. And those are the three that I think are going to have big games for the Detroit. And James and Williams is going to be left holding the bag again. Keith, it's a tough go for a Mecca Buka right now with a backup quarterback in Jalen Danes. I'm just curious because of how a Buka can make plays downfield. Well, he has some success because that seems to be what Daniels wants to do is look downfield or potentially run. I think that there is a possibility that Jalen Daniels hits a long shot in this game. Whether it's to a Mecca Buka or Ted Hurst or Ted Johnson, I don't really have a good guess on that. I don't think anybody really should. I think the main thing is a Buka is not necessarily been playing very well this year. The Bucks offense looks absolutely awful. Now he's playing with an undrafted rookie quarterback who's probably going to run the ball 12 plus times in this game. I don't expect a lot of pass attempts even if Tampa Bay is playing for both. Is that 12 plus times designed run to the 12 plus times scrambled? Because anytime he was pressured, I went back and I checked it up. He almost always just ran. I think it's one read and then go. And I think that's what it's going to be in this game. It makes me feel like I've got a Buka too high. It's tough to trust. You just hope that maybe some of the bigger issues don't translate to the second quarterback and that we can get some production here. But difficult to say that any of the Tampa Bay players in the passing game are worth starting with any confidence. And the same thing with Latin Mcconkey looked his last two games. He's combined for seven catches for 101 yards. No touchdowns, eight targets. That's against Las Vegas and Buffalo. Now taking on Seattle. There's only a lot of one receiver so far this season to get double digits in PPR. Mcconkey popped up on the way in the report on Wednesday with a foot problem. We know we had the rib injury. So more of a number three receiver than anything else. But if you can get away from Latin Mcconkey, that's probably the smart move to make. Let's look at some sleeper wide receivers for this week. Dave, you got Debo Samuel. So we heard John Lynch. I think it was on a radio interview on Thursday morning saying that Mike Evans going to try and tough it out with the rib injury. But could be tough for him. Does this depend on how we feel about Mike Evans where you're going to look at Debo Samuel? George Kill let it slip that he had fractured ribs. And that worries me. You're going to put Mike Evans out there with fractured ribs. I don't think Mike Evans will be out there very long. If that's the case. So Debo Samuel could be the one that really benefits in terms of targets last week. No catches but 80 receiving guards because of the hook and ladder play. Could absolutely see him go out and put up some big numbers, especially working underneath against the Broncos. Staying away from Pat Surten. He won't get shadowed there. He can work the middle of the field. He can make plays after the catch. Kind of like Debo Samuel this week. I think he could be very, very good. Back to the well with Malik Washington. You know, he had a first time last week. It was called back. I love the way they're using Malik Washington. Not just the fact that he had a 27 percent target share. He's a top 12 wide receiver in terms of target share. You don't get any fantasy points for that. But also it's deep shot. He has an 8 out of 12, which is not Malik Washington. But also backfield snaps and screens. And I think that's really the only hope against this Minnesota defense is hope that you can roll Malik Willis away from the pressure and hit a deep shot. Or throw screens right behind the all the pressure Malik Willis it's going to see. So yes, listen, we're talking about sleeper wide receivers. I don't think Malik Washington's going to score 20 fantasy points. I like his chances of getting the 12. Do you have any concern because we have yet to see all three receivers playing healthy? If we get Caleb Douglas and Chris Bell playing in this game. If yes, if they're 100 percent all of them, then I think maybe it lowers the ceiling a little bit. I still think Washington's definitely the number one option. I also am not sure Caleb Douglas is healthy. Yeah, it sounds like both will be playing if they're playing at less than 100 percent. But most players at this point week four are playing at less than 100 percent. And that can impact Jordan Addison because Justin Jefferson is dealing with his ankle injury, not practice on Wednesday. I like Jordan Addison whether we get Jefferson or not. I think we're going to start to see the best of him moving forward. I know last week was his best performance. Nine targets, five catches, 90 yards in a touchdown against Tampa Bay in the game that Jefferson left. Now, the one thing is most teams don't have to run against the dolphins. But they have yet to see two wide receivers get doubleders in PPR in the same game. But I do think there's a huge upside for Addison if Jefferson's out. And you can still start him as a number three wide receiver if Jefferson isn't. All right, that'll do it for our wide receiver conversation here on Fantasy Football Day. We're going to take a break and we come back going to talk about some quarterbacks. We know that there's still injuries. This position still players that you're looking to maybe pick up all flavors and start. We'll give you the breakdown with the rankings here on Fantasy Football Day. Welcome back to Fantasy Football. Today, it's time to talk about some quarterbacks. So we may get some good news. Jane Daniels could play in the early morning game on Sunday in London against the Colts. Not expecting him at this point, but there is some positive reports at least about him trying to practice. But we're not going to show them on the ranked list because we're not ranking him as of now. Let's show you the rankings one through 12 of our consensus rankings on CBSports.com. And there are some fun players moving into this list. You see Tyler Shuck all the way up to number two. We'll talk about him in a second. You got Patrick Mahomes fully entrenched now in the top 10. You got Matthew Stafford Bryce Young and then Jalen Hertz down at 12. Is it time to maybe sit Jalen Hertz? But you got a guy here at number seven in Jared Goff who's just been very solid. So far, one huge game in week two, but all three games over 20 fantasy points. He's going outdoors. He's facing a Carolina defense again that does not have its two-started cornerbacks. Is this going to be a huge blow spot for Jared Goff? I think it's going to be a QB1 spot for Jared Goff. I do think that the defensive injuries for the Panthers, which I wasn't sure that was a great unit in the first place, I really kind of overcome the fact that he has to play outside and experience weather. And he has maybe the best set of weapons in the entire NFL. Jared Goff just a starting fantasy quarterback and we should just start him every week. Yep, it's just one of those things. They scored 30 plus points in all three games as a team. So that's going to lead to a lot of quality quarterback production. They do have the best running back, or at least fantasy running back in the game right now in Jameer Gibbs. Let's just show you the list 13 through 24 just because we know there's a lot of different players. That fantasy managers are considering. So you see, Drake May. down to 24. You don't see Justin Herbert. That's where we're at. We're trying to avoid these guys. We'll tell you why there's sits in a minute, but you see some of the backup options that have been playing great. Mario to coming off a great game against Seattle. Jacobi percent, great game last week against San Francisco, Donald, a three touchdown game. The Seattle quarterback has produced whether it's Drew Locker, Sam Darm, seven touchdowns in the last two games. Do you know Smith's strong game last week? Her cousin's three straight games, three touchdowns in all those games. So there's a lot of different ways you can go at this position. But here are the guys that we're talking about as starting options. If you got Bryce Young, Davey got Matthew Stafford, and I'll tell you why Tyler sucks to start of the week. But let's talk about Bryce Young because it was his worst game last week against Cleveland. Right. I think the Cleveland defense is considerably a bigger challenge than the Detroit Lions defense. They are not going to be able to get the same pressure on a consistent basis that the Cleveland Browns did. And you said it. The Lions have scored 30 points every week. The Panthers don't have their top two corners. The Lions are going to score 30 points this week. Bryce Young is going to throw a lot of passes. I think he will be a good mid-range QB1. Probably not quite as good as he was the first two weeks of the season. But someone you can trust as a starter. Pook is back. Devente is awesome. Eagles defense isn't as good as we thought it was going to be. Their past rush isn't as good as we thought it was going to be. Case canum just had three touchdowns total against them on Monday. And now here they are playing. I know it's a must win spot for Philadelphia. I think Matthew Stafford makes it hard on them. And Stafford has a pretty good track record against Big Fan Show. It's not necessarily a dynamite track record. I wouldn't expect even 25 fantasy points. He's a low end starter though. He makes the top 12. Having Pook a back is a big plus. You did say though previously you thought they're going to run the ball though in this game. So how does that work together? I think they're going to be able to do both of those things. That's why it's going to be more of an efficient game for Matthew Stafford and not a blow-up spot. Like Jargoth is better. Tyler Schuck is better. I think that those types of quarterbacks, anybody that's got that type of upside, you will put ahead of Matthew Stafford this week. He's top 12. He's not top 5. All right. So top 12 for Matthew Stafford. Top 3 for all of us for Tyler Schuck. He's the start of the week and it's really just more emphasizing how good he's been and how good he should be once again. The run game a little bit suspect obviously right now with Travis HN not being there. The Falcons have struggled so far against opposing quarterbacks. He's been great two of three games over 29 fantasy points. He leads the NFL in pass attempts right now. So Tyler Schuck just doing a fantastic job. It should continue for one more game. He had 23.8 fantasy points against the Falcons in their last meeting in week 18 last year. Some quarterbacks that were looking to sit. Dave's got Drake May. I got Justin Herbert. You got Kyler Murray though because this could be an interesting game against the Dolphins. Just no faith in him right now taking on this really miserable defense. Well first off, I don't have very much faith in him passing the football right now. He's made a couple of good throws but it's looked kind of gross. Second off, I think people will see the match up against the Dolphins and what Brock Purti did to them and what Patrick Mahomes did to them in terms of efficiency and think, oh, this is a smash spot for Kyler. I've been waiting to start Kyler. I just don't think there's any reason for them to let him throw the ball very much. And I don't think he's near as good as a passer or so that other two guys. So he's not going to be that efficient and we're not expecting him to have Justin Jefferson. I don't want to get sucked into starting him over the Drake Mays and the Justin Herbert and the guys like that when I would rather start a Bryce Young and Tyler Schuck or even a Jacobi percent. Do you think change for you at all if Jefferson plays? A little bit. Like none of us have him as a top 15 quarterback. I wouldn't even if Justin Jefferson played. But I'd be up closer to 18. Any hope for Jake May. They told me not to panic after week one. And I still went and I got other quarterbacks on the team that I had Drake May. I'm because I'm the sucker that took Drake May and a bunch of leagues. And the panic was justified. He's been brutal. It's weeks two and weeks three. And now here he goes again. I don't really see him having a monster game against Buffalo. I know Buffalo's defense has been great. I just think he's not playing well. I don't think his receivers are playing well. I think the Patriots are going to try and hide behind their run game while May figures things out. Jordan love is ahead of him. Jacobi percent is ahead of him. Obviously Tyler Schuck, Bryce Young, Matthew Stafford. Those guys are going to be ahead of him too. He's an easy set. I agree. Not even ranked for me in the top 24 and Justin Herbert's right there as well. I just don't think you could trust these guys with the way that they perform right now. May at least as a decent matchup against Buffalo. Herbert's got to go play Seattle coming off a loss. Marcus Mariotto just made some plays against them. And now Herbert's got to deal with this defense that you know is going to be angry. They're getting potentially Julian love back in their secondary. So that could be even worse for Herbert. It just doesn't feel like it's going to be a good stretch of games for him. Not that it's been a good stretch of games for him so far. He's averaging 229 passing yards per game. He's got four three touchdown passes, four interceptions on the season. It's just bad across the board for Justin Herbert. And again, taking on Seattle not going to be any easier. All right. Some sleeper quarterbacks for us. If you got Sam Donald, is he going to keep it going for one more week against his charge of defense? I think he will. And I think he might have to until Zack Sharpen. He gets back because this team is just not running the football well enough to play the style of football that they did last year. It was an extremely Sam Donald was awesome last year. Hyper efficient and still most of the time didn't matter for fantasy football because he was throwing 27 passes and you had to hope he had some touchdowns this year. They actually have 16 more pass attempts than Russia temps. And that's with Drew Locke starting half of their games. So this is a more pass heavy offense than what we had last year. And Donald's still really efficient. And most importantly, he has Jason. Genos Smith. Great game last week. Great game this week. I think so. And I like Sam Donald better than the Justin Herbert and Drake Mays of the world. And I like Genos Smith better than Sam Donald than the Justin Herbert and Drake Mays of the world. And Genos is going to continue to throw the ball out. You want to talk about a team that's struggling to run. I wonder if the Jets could be that team without Bre saw. I know that we added Braylon Allen. And we're kind of excited to start Braylon. He's going to start Braylon Allen. And I am two is a low and number two running back. And he can catch the ball a little bit. And so can Isaiah Davis. I think everything in this offense falls on Genos Smith now. And him looking down field, two Garrett Wilson, two Kenyans to eat. I don't buy into this bear's defense how they played against Philadelphia whatsoever. Geno might be a better reader of coverages at this point than Jaylen Hertz is. I think he's still startable. He's a sleeper for me this week. Could be a track meet. You know, could be one of those games where the bear's core and the Jets have to keep up. And you know, Geno 17 fantasy points in week two against Green Bay. It's just court. I'm been sort of building toward what we saw as a great stretch of games. And this will hopefully be one of those as well. I hope Jacobi Berset keeps up the past volume. This is the concern that the Giants offense doesn't show up. And maybe Jeremiah love takes over this game. But what we saw from Jacobi Berset last week is the kind of quarterback we've been hoping to see for the whole entirety of the season only three games. But he gives you a pretty good floor. His last 15 games, 13 of them, 18 and a half fantasy points or more. So that's kind of, I think, what you're looking at is, okay, I'm probably going to get that. And now you're seeing Michael Wilson have the big game. Trey McBride has been a steady, you know, a force for them. I think the Giants will score on them. I think that they're going to have to keep pace as well. Could get one of those high scoring games. So I think to Kobe Berset's in the low end starting conversation for this week. All right, that'll do it for our quarterback conversation, time to get into tight ends. It's one of the best positions that you could find because almost everybody is producing their outperforming running backs, their outperforming quarterbacks, excuse me, wide receivers. It's just not the guys that maybe we thought, but we'll tell you about the rank list for the quarter. We'll tell you about the rank list for the tight ends next year on fantasy football today. All right, I get this right. We're talking tight ends now here on fantasy football today. We're going to show you the rank list one through 12 and just a lot of different movement from what the guys who we thought we're going to be at the top 12 options versus the guys who are not even worth playing. We're talking about you, Colson, Loveland and Kyle Pitz. Isaiah likely is coming off to disappointing games, had 10 targets in week two, but really struggled against the Titans in week three. You see him at number eight, Dave. Are we still considering Isaiah likely a must start tight end? I am, even though he's catching passes from James, and even like short throws last week from James, we're arriving late to Isaiah likely, but I think the volume should be there. And I can't help myself but think about what he's capable of doing. If he gets eight targets per game, there are a lot of tight ends with that type of upside, so he's still at top 12 tight ends. And the matchup not great against the card. I'm not difficult, excuse me, just a card, and also hopefully we get a big game like maybe George Kittle just had. So that would be fun to see from Isaiah likely, but it's been a little bit of a struggle since week one. Let's talk about the guys that we're starting here for this coming week. Dave last week was the coming out party breakout game for King and Sedica. We're going to get another strong performance. So it was just the Detroit bump that we're going to see from a lot of these tight ends, taking advantage of that defense. I think the fact that he had over a hundred yards is the Detroit bump. I think the fact that he had eight targets is what the Jets want to get out of him, especially in a game where they didn't have 80 Mitchell and Breeze Hall got hurt. And if those two things stay the same and no Mason Taylor, either, although I think that's a lesser issue now. As long as there's no 80 Mitchell, and we know that Breeze Hall is not expected to play, I think Kenyan Sedica is going to get a lot of opportunities. And boy is he a matchup problem for any defense out there. Chicago is going to have a tough time. They haven't seen a great tight end now, each of the last two weeks. They're going to see one in Kenyan Sedica and Geno has no problem throwing the ball to him. He has a top 12 tight end. A guy you can go and grab off the waiver wire and immediately put in your lineup ahead of Kyle Pitt, ahead of Colson Lovelin. Dalton Schultz, disappointing game last week. Nico Collins back this week, but he's still like him this week. Yeah, he had eight targets in week one when Dalton Schultz or when Nico Collins was there. He's there, clear number two option in the passing game. This Cowboys defense is giving up three touchdowns to tight ends in three games. They are solely responsible for us saying, "I say likely still I start at tight end." Because they gave up the one good game that he's had this year. And this game has one of the higher over unders on the week. The Texans have an implied total of 24.5 points, which is going to one of the higher numbers they'll have all season. I'm going right back to Dalton Schultz. And they can't run the ball so that should be good for Dalton Schultz as well. I love the set up for Darren Waller. I can't love the set up anymore for any player on the slate than what Darren Waller has right now. Just the matchup is so good. I can't find a reason to rank him higher because as it's still just a lot of different moving parts. But Jaylen Coker may not play. They've given up two touchdowns, two tight ends in every game so far this season. And five of those six guys, the only one was Dawson Knox who scored a touchdown. Five of those six guys, 13 1/2 in his PPR points, or more, it's just been such a layup without Kirby, Joseph, and Brian Branch on the field, the safety's there for the Lions. So hopefully Darren Waller follows Susie, already has a two touchdown game, back-to-back games with 10 plus PPR points. A lot of his production came last week, and it's Cleveland after Coker left the game. So I'll downgrade him a little bit if Coker does play, but this is just setting up for an absolute smash week for Darren Waller. I probably will rank him higher as the week goes on, or at least we get close to the Sunday. Some sit tight ends for us. Davey got Harold Fanon into night's game. Heath, Tucker Craft. I'm going with Mark Andrews. Let's start with tonight's performance, not expecting big things from Harold Fanon. I'm not expecting two touchdowns, and I don't even know if I can expect one. Last week, both of the touchdowns came on improvisational plays from Deshan Watts, and not saying that that can't happen again, but that could happen every week. There wasn't anything structural or designed for Harold Fanon in the Red Zone last week that resulted in a touchdown, and now it's a sealer's defense. That's been pretty good against tight ends over the bounce of the year. They had one bust last week against Micah Sikki. I don't think that Harold Fanon should be counted on for a big game. He can be OK. He might be able to get you to 10 PPR points. But to me, in the way that tight ends are rolling right now, you talked about this. That's not good enough to be a top 12 tight end anymore. I hate saying sit Tucker Craft. It's partially a-- we've got Kenyon Sadeek now, and I'm still trusting in Dalton Schultz, but I think that we also have to acknowledge that we haven't really seen proof yet that Tucker Crafts back to 100%. He's on the field. He's not earning the targets at quite the rate that he has before. And most importantly, he's not doing the things after the catch that have made him a fantasy relevant tight end. If as long as Christian Watson and Matthew Golden are getting 55% plus of this team's targets, Craft is going to have to be making huge plays after the catch to be a must start tight end. Until I see that, I think I'm going to view him as more of a sit than a start. I'm a fiddle. You know, hopefully just catches the ball. That was a big problem from last week who was holding on to the football. Mark Andrews is struggling to score touchdowns, which is what we hope to see from him when he's healthy and performing. And right now, he's just not doing that. So it's been a little weird, but they haven't-- the Titans at least haven't given up a big game to Kenyon Sadeek get a rushing touchdown against him in week one. Dallas got a guard hurt in week two as they likely playing in the bad weather last week. So I don't think they're very good against tight ends despite their numbers. However, that's just kind of where they are right now from a defensive perspective. So I just don't think that that's not the reason to avoid Mark Andrews is really just his play. And this is going to be the Derek Henry game first time he's facing the Titans in his career. All right, we're going to take a break. When we come back and again to your tweets, that's next year on Fantasy Football Tip. [MUSIC PLAYING] [SUSPENSEFUL MUSIC PLAYING] [SUSPENSEFUL MUSIC PLAYING] We're having another show here on Fantasy Football today with your questions. Mark wants to know, as a Travis H.Anne owner and have Kendrick Miller would you offer my-- Huts? Xavier Hutchinson? I guess. For coming for his Camara. You can offer it all you want. You're not going to get accepted. Yeah, I guess the only way you would get that done, if that is Xavier Hutchinson, would be as if it's a Nico Collins out for a while. Good luck. I don't know what to tell you. Maybe go pick up Devin Neal and see if he's going to be a factor and I'm saying the deepest of deep-- Well, Devin Neal's on the Viking. No, I'm saying. Like I had some big help in Minnesota with him. Yeah, I think the easier move is to find a different player on your team and try and trick that player for Alvin Camara. You know, Camara did add some speed last week. He just really-- No, he's trying to get him otherwise. Yeah, he's trying to get him. So it might cost you a little bit more than you think. All right, should I play David Montgomery, Ramondre Stevenson, or Sky Moore? I'm assuming you get points for return yards. And what about Debo Samuel? So I would play David Montgomery over Ramondre and over Sky Moore. And if it's a full PPR league, and Mike Evans is out, then I'd go Debo over Montgomery. All right, makes sense there. Next question. Non-PPR, Darren Waller, Isaiah Lightly, or Quincheon Judkins at Flex Dave. Yeah, and this is where tight ends are now. Lightly is my highest ranked player of the three. I feel like Waller's going to score, though. I do, too. And you know, maybe Waller's the right answer here because he'll get more targets. I co-cur has to be out, though. If co-cur plays, it's an easy likely-- Non-PPR, the projection's just going to say Judkins, but-- I know why it feels gross. All right, guys. Waller and Lightly, two touchdown games. Judkins has not on the season, so the tight end is actually playing better than the running back. All right, last one, or this is it? Last one. All right, considering making this offer in PPR, trade away, take one Barclay and Travis Kelsey, get Jalen Warren and Breeze Hall. Ooh, it's a lot to pay for Jalen Warren and Breeze Hall at this point, but down the line, I think it'll work out. So if you can weather Breeze Hall not playing, I think you'll make the deal. Do it. All right, there you go. Do it. All right, that'll do it for us here on Fantasy Football today. Thanks for watching. Summary:

FAQs

Jalen Warren is considered a top fantasy running back in Week 4. He had a huge performance against the Bengals and is expected to thrive in a short week against the Browns, especially with Rico Chipping out. His ability to gain yards and score is bolstered by the Browns' defensive vulnerabilities.

No, Seikwam Barkley is not recommended for Week 4. He faces a tough matchup against the Rams and has struggled with injuries and limited involvement in the passing game. His production is expected to be low, making him a risky start.

Duvante Williams has a solid chance due to his recent performance and increased involvement in the passing game. While the Houston defense is strong, his ability to catch passes and gain yards makes him a more reliable option than Seikwam Barkley.

Jalen Wright is a better option than Alvin Camara or Ali Gordon in the Dolphins backfield. While both are underperforming, Wright has more consistent carries and better potential in a short week game, making him a safer pick despite the team's overall struggles.

Injuries significantly impact decisions, especially with key backs like Rico Chipping or Travis Hanne out. This creates opportunities for backups or less-familiar backs, but also increases risk due to inconsistent performance and matchups.

Yes, Aaron Jones is a strong option in Week 4 due to his matchup against a defense that has allowed the most fantasy points to running backs. His recent involvement in the passing game and strong performance against Miami make him a top-tier choice.
