Week 3 Winners & Losers: Biggest Takeaways From Every Game, Injury Updates, Early Waiver Wire, & More! (09/27 Fantasy Football Podcast)

Fantasy football saw a mix of explosive performances and significant injuries in Week 3, with Brock Bowers emerging as a breakout star in fantasy tight end rankings. His dominant return against New Orleans—10 catches, 160 yards, and a touchdown—solidified his status as a must-start. Conversely, Dave Punt Gummary struggled through a poor offensive outing, scoring just three touchdowns and showing minimal rushing efficiency, marking a notable loss for fantasy managers. Multiple key injuries disrupted play, including Devon H. (likely multi-week absence), Jayland Wright, Bruce Hall, and injuries to Justin Jefferson, Mike Evans, and Jalen Coker. The Miami Dolphins' backup backfield saw Ali Gordon thrive with 17 carries and a touchdown, potentially opening a path if Wright is sidelined. Wide receiver performances were mixed, with Josh Downs and Michael Wilson showing strong upside, particularly against tough defenses. The Chargers and Texans disappointed despite early projections, with the Texans failing to produce and Owen's offensive struggles highlighting a lack of cohesion. Key insights include the need to pivot toward high-impact flex options like Travis Kelsey and Tyler Warren, especially in PPR formats. The fantasy landscape remains volatile due to injury and offensive inconsistency, with managers advised to stay flexible and monitor matchups closely. Injuries to key players and defensive weaknesses in teams like the Giants and Patriots further complicate decision-making, making depth and waiver wire strategy vital. The week underscored the importance of adaptability, with standout performances from players like Jalen Warren and Terry McClure reinforcing the value of situational analysis and real-time adjustments.
This is Fantasy Football Today from CBS Sports. Swap away! Can you believe this? It's a no again. It's time to dominate your fantasy league. To the races, play stays on his feet. Just got out of the distance. Now, here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath. An absolutely incredible week three by my count. And I'm probably screwing this up because I'm this bad at stuff like this. I've got 11 of the 13 games today. We're one score games going into Sunday night football. Just amazing. But of course, a lot of injuries as well. Tough stuff for Devon H. Ann. Justin Jefferson, Baker Mayfield, et cetera. Welcome to the show. Welcome to your Sunday night recap on September 27, three-capping week three with an unbelievable finish and Rio. Oh my gosh. Adam Azer, Heath Cummings, and Dave Richard. Three guys wearing long black sleeve shirts and glasses today. Look good, guys. You look good. I got a lot of compliments on the early show and decided I was just going to stick with it. Like, people are fired up in the chat. How about that Brock Bowers, baby? And Jaylen Wright is the move. Well, based on last year, Jaylen Wright would be. Heath is dismay that Mike told him to like Drake May. We haven't heard from Mike. We did hear from Mike once, I think, in the preseason. And I didn't take the bait, if you remember. Yeah, it was about AJ Brown. Anyway, let's get into it. Biggest winner, biggest loser, Dave. You are a happy jolly guy. Let's go with the biggest winner for me. Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Dave Richard. And I am not an advocate for anybody. But today, we saw the return of who should be the future rating, defending, undisputed, tight end, one or two in fantasy football. And that would be the beast, Brock Bowers. And I mean, honestly, the real winners are anybody who picked in early round one and did not take Buka. But outside of that Brock Bowers came back, looked awesome, three targets, three catches, on the very first drive for the Raiders. And he was a very instrumental part in their win over New Orleans, just an absolute dominant showing from a dude who we've been waiting to see. We saw flashes of this last year, and a lot of this is a rookie. But now he's back. There's no questions asked. He's a stud again, and it looks great and feels great. And is this Raiders team for real? Undefeated through three weeks? Kind of like what I'm seeing from them. And Bowers makes them better. Yeah, he does. It's pretty cool. Brock Bowers with 10 catches, 160 yards, and a touchdown. Just barely outscoring George Kiddell, who is also going to be in the mix for that tight end, may probably not won, but he's going to be up there. He could be up there. So Kiddell looks like a good draft pick, especially if Mike Evans has to miss time with this rib injury. He's the biggest loser of week three so far. Well, I don't have a cool feel like Dave did, but that was really cool. David Punt Gummary, the easiest matchup we've thought against the Indianapolis Colts, who defense had looked like garbage. The biggest week one fool you, maybe of the 2026 fantasy football season with him scoring three touchdowns, what in the world? This offense looked dreadful. McGummary for the second straight week. And really in terms of rushing efficiency, the third straight week looked absolutely miserable as a rusher flex at best. And not a good one. But he also gave way to Woody Marks at the goal line twice. And Woody scored. Woody scored a one-yard touchdown, and not to say that's going to keep happening over and over again. But yeah, Dave Punt Gummary, you might have missed a sell high window. But I will say that they have even said like, we know our offense isn't as good without Nico Collins. If they can get Nico Collins back, it might make things better for the offense in general. Would it have been better if Montgomery had scored a touchdown like from the goal line? It's still a bad, it's still a pretty bad game. Woody Marks had it. They were inside the last two minutes of the game when it happened. But Woody Marks short yardage touchdown. First time, I think, ever did he have any last year? They didn't really trust him down their last. So I thought the real surprising thing was, I don't know if you guys saw this, but they used Woody Marks at the goal line. And Dave and McGummary. So you said that. Yeah, I'm answering a text. I'm trying to get the running back notes up. It wasn't just then. It was earlier in the game too. It's white. They had Woody Marks in at the goal line again. I'm sorry. That doesn't mean Woody Marks is their goal line back. But you would like to see it be sort of exclusively Montgomery. I'll give you an example. I don't know if you guys caught this. Kalon Black was in it like the five or the six yard line. He carried to the one and they took him out. And he was so pissed. And then they brought him a cavalry. A cavalry jumped into the end zone after. Did you mention that John and the Taylor only scored two more fantasy points than Dave and McGummary? Yeah. He was facing the Texans defense. They're good. That's true. They were pretty good. Jamie has joined the show. Hello, you sleep. Jamie, no, Jamie, you are not wardrobe appropriate today. Go to wardrobe. Get your black shirt and your glasses. Sub, Jamie. Hello. All right. So another, you know, you're talking about a guy that maybe fooled us the most in week one in Montgomery. I got to throw Isaiah likely in there the way the giants look right now, likely with the just, oh, god. It doesn't look nearly as good as it did. But we'll see if better weather brings better things for that stupid team. We've got a beyond the box score episode tomorrow. We'll break down the snap counts and the advanced metrics and those types of things and all the things that we didn't get a chance to see on Sunday. As all the action was happening, we'll get a deeper, a longer look at on Monday. And of course, beyond the box score has their own feed, their own YouTube channel. It's a great, great listen, a great view for those of you who want a longer look at things. Let's do a quick round of buyer sell. Jamie, I'll give this one to you first. From Dynastie Pollock, buyer sell, Drake May, and Justin Herbert are drops. Drake May with 3.8 fantasy points today. Justin Herbert with 14.7. Justin Herbert and Drake May are drops by our sell. - Bye. - Bye or buy like, bye, bye, bye. - Gotta go buy. - Gotta go buy. - Oh, I mean, the next three games for Herbert are at Seattle, home against Denver, at the chiefs, and then a buy. And then the Rams and then the Texans. So that's easy, but Jamie, you had New England as one of your losers. You just had put the Patriots in there, and what are you thinking right now about? Drake May has scored less than 24 fantasy points combined in his three starts. And what do you think about this offense? - I mean, it goes back to last season when he's face tough competition. So I think we talked about this earlier this week that if you want to buy back into Drake May or hold on to Drake May until AJ Brown returns and the schedule gets easier second half of the season, I can certainly understand doing so. But at this point, it's just one of those situations where you gotta get production from that position. There are other quarterbacks that are producing, there are guys that are coming out of nowhere that are producing. I mean, Kirk Cousins has been better, Dino Smith was better, Dino Smith has been better, was better today. Obviously, Jacobi presets better. Like, you know, the list is gonna go on and on and just finding better production from that position is easy to do. - All right, buy yourself from Henrik, Dave. JSN will score even more points than he did last season. - Do you know what he's averaging? - I know, you know, 'cause I told you. Jamie, do you know how many fantasy points in PPR? JSN's averaging so far? About a billion? - 35. - Just lower than that. - Right, almost 35 per game. 34.7. I don't know if I, I don't, I don't know if anybody's ever averaged. - No. - 34.7 fantasy points per game. - I can't imagine. Like, maybe there was a Jerry Rice season, but the most likely. - Well, I mean, like, it's certainly not a non-quarterback. - Oh yeah, I don't even know if there was a quarterback. - Yeah, you're right. - It's crazy. - It's absolutely crazy what's going on. It's a byproduct of Seattle not being able to run the ball effectively. And he's just freaking awesome at this point. So could he be better than last year? Do you remember how many fantasy points per game he averaged last year? - It was like 21-ish. - And it was in that neighborhood, yes. - Yes, he could be better than that. - He can be better than that. - He could be, I'm not saying he will be. - Well, I don't see this slowing down. - Well, I do. I mean, he's not gonna average 33. No, no, no. When I'm saying 33, yes, I don't think it's gonna be in that neighborhood, but north of what he did last year. I'll give you the reminder. - Okay. He already has six, he has six of their 10 end zone targets. So at 21.2. - Last year. - Every time they get to near the end zone, he's the guy they're looking for. Anyway, I just start JSN next week. Go ahead, James. - It's just kind of amazing how him, Jamal, Jamal, Jamar chain, Pukin' Akul when he's healthy. Doesn't Jefferson, like how these guys get open? - Yeah. - And they're always open. And like it's mind-boggling, how good they are. - But isn't it also amazing how even when they're not open, they don't need much, like they make contested catches. I think that's something that really separates the men from the boys, right? Like his second touchdown, I think he was kind of blank at it, if I recall. They just have incredible hands, these guys. Yeah, JSN's a winner. All right, last one, buyer, sell Chase Brown. He has scored 18.8, 11.2, and 8.9 PPR fantasy points. Would you be in general being buying or selling Chase Brown right now, Heath? - Probably holding, if you could get somebody that would sell him for less than a top 12 running back value, then I would buy. I would not sell at his current PPR, like if you're taking his current average
saying that's his new value, I would not sell. Are you guys worried about the guy that we were touting as he should be a first round pick? He's so great. Not yet. Not yet. No, not yet. I would be trying to buy him. I just thought you were going to be successful at it. I think you could. Maybe. His schedule is great. Jacksonville Miami by Baltimore, Tennessee. Yeah. He's good schedule up ahead. All right. Definitely not freaking out. Atlanta after Tennessee. Well, that's some stuff before we get to the bad stuff. And here it comes. So the news and notes. So we had Bryce Young limping off. He was able to come back. But we had Baker may feel dislocating his finger. So Jayland, Jayland Daniels is the backup quarterback for the bucks who threw the crap out of the ball at the end of the game there. But he's really fast, so really, really fast. Yeah. It's an interesting player. I don't know how long he dislocated finger. I don't know what the time frame is. I assume for Baker, he's just going to like tape three of them together and be back out there. And then probably have something else, unfortunately, go wrong. He just, he's takes so much, and I don't just not all his lines full. It's not all his full. It's just the confluence of everything that's going on there. He just takes a beating every week. Yeah. All right. So the line is bad. The line shouldn't be bad. I mean, that's yeah, but it is, it is running back. We have Devon H and leaving in the first quarter with what might be a serious knee injury, just a total bummer. And Jayland Wright was out today. Ali Gordon was the last man standing and he got a lot of touches against the chiefs, but he had 17 carries for 41 yards in a touchdown. He had three catches for 14 yards. But last year, whenever there were two games or H and either didn't play or left early and Jayland Wright was the better option. What do you think, Jamie? Who's the guy to get from Miami? Me right now, it's Gordon. I don't know the extent of Jayland Wright's injury. So I don't want to say anything inappropriate, but if he's going to miss any time, that's going to either A, give Gordon the opportunity to be the guy and to prove himself or it could be extended absence for Jayland Wright as well. So we'll have to see the extent of Bruce Hall's injury because that's the other guy we're going to be looking at in terms of backups to spend your fab on this week. Raylon Allen and Ali Gordon/ Jayland Wright are going to be the two places you go. So hopefully we get an update on Devon H and like you said, does not sound good from what Jeff Hathley was saying. I wouldn't anticipate at this point multiple weeks if not this season. And there's another guy. Bruce Hall left in the fourth quarter and that could be a multi-week absence there. We don't know, but Travis H and Cameras, 66 percent roster, so you can't just go out and get him necessarily, but Kendra Miller is available. Dave, if you could pick one running back for the Saints, as of right now, of course, we can change our mind on Tuesday, but who would it be? It would be Kendra Miller, but I wouldn't feel very good about it. There would be a running back split and there's already, it could be a gross three-way split and that's exactly what it was after ETN, HN, excuse me, got hurt in the second half. It was like half Alvin Camera, 30 percent of the snapshot Kendra Miller, and then CJ Donaldson continues to work on passing downs as their best pass protector. So I don't really want any of these guys. I would rather have a Jets back up. Maybe I would have Adolphin's back up ahead of Kendra Miller, but Miller is the one who I think would get a lot of that short yardage work. If you get him, you're hoping for like six fantasy points, seven fantasy points, plus the chance that it touched down each week. It's a shame because Travis H and was dominating the touches, finally. Yeah, he was. One other thing that I don't think there's an injury here, but based on what the broadcaster said at the end, Bucky Irving is another guy to keep an eye on. He may have left super late in that game with an injury. Just another one. I don't panic, but another one that just antennas up. Justin Jefferson has an ankle injury. Mike Evans has injured ribs, Jalen Coker, quad injury, Jack Besh, broken forearm. And thankfully, Jalen McMillan's hurt, Garrett Wilson cleared, did not have a concussion. So that is good news as he faces Chicago next week. Jefferson, Evans, Coker, those are three big ones. We're keeping an eye on to see any time frames there. No tight end injuries that I saw, Mark Andrews left with a hand injury, but he returned. There are some offensive, like Baltimore lost two centers today, I believe, correct me if I'm wrong. Dallas lost almost their entire secondary. Yeah. Oh, that's crazy. The Giants lost their best defensive player, Brian Burns. He might, that might, who knows, that could be a really long one. They'll stop their best defensive players, James. They suck. And like that, all the games that I could have watched today, I was stuck with that one. And there's a record though, they're two and one, right? Yep. Just cost themselves a better drift. Do you want them to make a move or another quarterback? Yeah. Kind of. Yeah. You want, would you mince you or fields? Those are your options. Mac Jones. You're not getting a match. No chance. Let's take a break and we'll come back early, look at the waiver wire and we'll get into more winners and losers. Jalen Warren is a big winner. Is that going to stay? Is he going to keep the grip on that starting job when Rico dowels back? We'll talk about it when we come back on Fantasy football today. Welcome back, Jamie. Let's take a look at the early waiver wire here as you start writing your column. So obviously you got the backup running backs. Who's the, who's the best one available as it right now? Again, not knowing the injuries, assuming that just everyone of the injured burning backs are going to miss week four. Braille and Allen would be one. I probably go Ollie Gordon too and then I guess Kendra Miller would be three. Okay. And any wide receivers you want to add or quarterbacks? I haven't gone through it fully yet. I know we're going to do Fantasy football takes press tomorrow. There's a handful of quarterbacks. And Jacoby Brissett has the Giants next week. You're looking to look at him. You know, look at Marcus Mario coming off a three touchdown game, Sam Donnell coming off a multiple touchdown game. You know, those are the guys. I think you're going to pivot to, receiver wise, trying to think of anybody that stands out that I'm missing. There's not easy here. I think Watkins for San Francisco is worth a look just because if Evans misses time and the Mark's Robinson's out, you know, that's one to keep an eye on there. Jordan Watkins. Yeah. Okay. There's always receivers. Press bell. Press bell. Look decent. Yeah. Caleb Douglas out. And Malik Washington, Ethan, I were joking. Willie Square touchdown today. He had one called back on like a. I was so mad. But that happens. All right. Well, let's get into the pulse pounding performance is brought to you by whoop. Oh, moon moon, moonzo, moonzo, seven one nine. Can you speak obviously for what an athlete. Wow. Yeah. And next week Darren Waller, all the tight ends that have played the Lions have been absolutely freaking fantastic. And he got all eight of his targets after Jalen Coker left the game or no. He got all eight of them without Coker on the field. I don't know if that was after Coker left the game, but Coker was not on the field. Okay. Now my pulse is pounding. Let's get into those pulse pounding performance is brought to you by whoop. The wearable device that gives you personalized insights into your sleep recovery. Your strain and how daily choices may be influencing your overall well being Jamie and heath have got their whoops on right now and all the time. And if you want to learn more, head to join dot whoop whop join dot whoop.com slash FFT Dave starts with the winners with Jalen war and 17 carries and three catches 176 total yards. I believe against the Cincinnati Bengals without Rico Dowdell is this a sign of things to come. You also have Terry McClure and who had a big game against Seattle, surprisingly. I think Jalen Warren has completely taken the running back job in Pittsburgh and even when Rico Dowdell comes back, how in the world can he go and compete and make it 50 50 at bare minimum? Maybe it's something like Jalen Warren for two drives and then Rico Dowdell for a third drive and then back to Jalen Warren. He had an 87 yard run called back by a holding penalty on DK McAf in the fourth quarter of this game and then after that, he ripped off a 26 yard run. He's really just having he had a great game today against Cincinnati and this was supposed to be a Bengals defense that we were fearing. We were scared of them. Last week they shut down David Montgomery and now here they are getting gashed a plenty by Pittsburgh and it should be noted that Steelers had a different look to their offensive line today. The rookie first rounder was in the front five. That made a difference. I really think that Jalen Warren has literally run away with the job and he was getting targets and catches as well. He looked really, really good and the Bengals defense looked really, really bad and for the second week in a row, a lot of targets for Terry McClure and you love to see it. He looked great last week. Really came through this week. We were nervous about the matchup but with Marcus Mario does his quarterback. All things are possible and we saw it with the game nine target six catches, 77 yards of touchdown, almost 20 fantasy points. That's better than his average of what he had last year with Marcus Mario and he absolutely put digs and Antonio Williams in his shadow. He's back to being the number one target getter for the Washington commanders who I can't believe they won. It's just a great game for the commanders on both sides of the ball. Donald kind of gave that game away a little bit too but the bottom line is Terry McClure and we thought with that he would have a bad game and that the by low window would be open. Nope, by window is gone. It's closed. It's nailed shut and he's back to being a must start.
Why receiver to I'm not going to put him in the top 12 we're not going to go crazy. Okay. Yeah top three four for sure He actually was only started in 26% of leagues Terry McClure and that's a bummer, but He's run a hunt. I don't know. I think this is updated 184 routes with Marcus Mario to in his career He has a 30.4% target per-out run rate and that is exceptional his career target per-out run rate is 21.5% So Mario to targets McClure and then that's small sample size. It's not a ton of routes, but it's not nothing He targets McClure and like McClure and has basically never been targeted before He's your winners. Oh, yeah, finally Jeremiah love people who have Jeremiah love are just they must be elated Right now he was starting they heard you they heard you what did I say you don't remember that wasn't at this show last week For you lost your mind because of the young exciting running backs that weren't getting the football and one coaching staff He heard you yeah, they're coaching staff didn't they both lost but no Jeremiah love got Almost all of the touches scored 21 fantasy points looked fantastic five catches Get the Giants next week is it too soon to rank Jeremiah love as a top 12 running back and Rossi rice is back Completely dominated targets for the Kansas City chiefs as he used to do once upon a time now it was the dolphins So I'm not going to say that he's back to being a top five wide receiver Like he was over multiple stretches the last three years But he I think he has looked better every single week of the season running and Patrick my home is trust him more than he trusts anybody besides Travis Kelsey and I must start wide receiver Good stuff. He had nine targets for shoe rice. No other player had more than three Jamie your winners today are Michael Wilson who just like Terry McClureen was only started in 26% of leagues 11 catches 89 yards and a touchdown on 17 targets at the Niners for Michael Wilson gets the Giants next week Then the Lions and Josh down started in 44% of leagues, but I have a feeling He's not going to be started 44% of leagues going forward down with two good games in row with more than 70 yards You got Michael Wilson and Josh downs. Yeah, so I'll go back to Friday where I was a little concerned about just the Cardinals offense And then we got the news for the mailbag show which you know, if you listen to both Chain my opinion with the the Nick Bolson news just knowing that this 49ers defense not gonna be as good and it's funny Because Michael Wilson's now last two games against the Cardinals. I guess it's against 49ers 26 catches in those two games. So it's It's something just you know, he clearly does well against this defense and hopefully continues But you see what he's capable of as you got to consider him without question the best receiver for the Cardinals move forward Made a lot of great catches in this game Injiklip is that looking much better in this game than he did the last two For Josh downs no out pierce. He's placed on IR I know it was a good game for almost the all the three main pass catchers That's kind of what we're expecting for the cults the season was concentrated targets Just keen and out and takes the out pierces Chances and does well with them But downs now like you said, it's 20 targets in his last two games and Over 12 ppr points in both of them So should be a starter for sure in ppr and a borderline starter and not enough. This is the second game in a row where downs should have had Better numbers than he actually had and I'm putting it on Daniel Jones just not being good in in the same World that he was in last year and it's still he's it's unbelievable How open both downs and for what it's worth keen and Allen I've been getting and the scheme is good and these receivers are not bad And downs especially is just like burning corners all the time Yeah, but Daniel Jones is holding them back and if Daniel Jones can kind of course correct himself and Be a little bit more accurate and a little bit more on time than we're talking about Josh downs really hitting a ceiling That he he would break through the ceiling that we had for him. He's been looking great And Keenan Allen another receiver to add off the verse. I was just about to say that yeah They got Washington next week. Man. This Washington past defenses phenomenal for fantasy All right, well that would be our winners Jalen Warren and Terry McClure in for Dave and anyone else that rhymes with that Jeremiah you could throw Tyler Warren and there he had a good game. Warren McClure and Jeremiah love or she writes for Heath Michael Wilson Josh Downs for Jamie Thank you to whoop for sponsoring this week's pulse pounding performances with whoop You can better understand how your body is responding to the travel the training late nights weather changes It helps you see what's supporting your energy and recovery and what might be holding you back So you can make meaningful changes to enhance your overall health once again If you'd like to join day Jamie and Heath and tons of other whoop users and learn how you can get a free month on us Head to remember whoop is spelled W-H-O-O-P join dot whoop dot com slash FFT Onto hour Users Brian Thomas Jr. for Jamie one target one catch Not good against New England and the Patriot you just that one game bunch of losers for you It was just easy. Yeah, just okay. They suck The Jaguars played great and It's just I guess didn't take it to account the Jacoby Myers revenge game against Patriots So it was it was Myers-Turn park watch down to great touchdown catch I think just, you know, you're looking at Brian Thomas. We were excited the two previous games at least the targets were there The opportunities were there for him and then it just goes away quickly now We noted this you know Adam you brought the sub prior to the season that the schedule was tough and it's another tough cornerback matchup for him in This game He's gonna be somebody that you're gonna have to make some tough calls certainly intent team leagues You might consider dropping him in 12 team leagues He might be dropped both well and then for the Patriots as you alluded to previously Drake may as somebody you can drop you can't start the running back to this point because we just don't know who's gonna be better than the next Stevenson was better than Henderson today, but you know It's just frustrating when they're both not doing very much because of the lack of a threat of a passing him at this point and Yeah, Matt Collins is gonna be somebody we discuss as a waiver of our option nobody's starting Matt Collins anytime soon You can't start Hunter Henry anytime soon. This Patriots office just sucks. Yeah, it's a bummer Heath we got David Montgomery as a loser which we talked about and also Dalton Schultz And there was a you know, I'll just bring this comment up from the chat Some Keith doesn't like people whose names rhyme with with Keith He says he's wake up when Nico Collins is back Montgomery will be fine. Do you agree with that? He might be able to score a touchdown When Nico Collins is back because this time team might score touchdowns but even in the game that Nico Collins played in he averaged exactly three years per carry the same that he did in this game And I think he was worse than that in week two. He's been Probably the least efficient volume Russia in the NFL this season. Yeah Yeah, what about his schedule after? Yeah, it's good. I mean like that might be the saving grace if you're honestly he played the cold play today I got it I got it but yeah I never thought the Colts were as bad of a defense as they looked in the first two Weeks just for whatever it's worth and they did step up the offensive lines a problem to I'm not trying to sugarcoat this or Change it up and say that Montgomery is actually super But if you're like desperate for running back up, I bet you'll be able to acquire Montgomery on the cheap and he might be able to get And you'll still be desperate for running back home. I think he can be better than six fantasy points You know, I think you could look at a guy that that is getting like the majority of the carries for any offense They were playing with that Niko. They're also playing without their starting right guard and you could say better times or ahead if you felt like he was going to be the goal Lineback if he's gonna split the goal lineback duties. That's that really is a punch in the gut. Yeah, I don't I don't know if I believe it I don't know if I believe that Montgomery did something to lose goal line carries to Woody marks Well, yeah, what about Dalton Schultz? I'm just a terribly disappointing game. Foster Moreau had more targets than him and I think he had like the first two or three tight-in targets in the game Dalton Schultz just wasn't involved in the game plan early on and we had this weird history I think maybe you referenced it before last week that Dalton Schultz hadn't normally been good in games that Niko Collins missed Probably because Niko Collins takes so much of the attention But I think it just moves Dalton Schultz right back into the high-end tight-in-two range Now he does get the cowboys next week. It's both a revenge game and they have no secondary So maybe we can start him for one more. And Dave's got Jamison Williams who had four targets for the second straight game and Jadarion Pratt. Oh, I don't know what happened here. I hope it was he was hurt or something Dave But what do you make of Jamo and Jadarion price Jadarion price had six touches in this game They were splitting three ways and Emmanuel Wilson was there again in short-yarded situations. They are not ready The seahawks are not ready to hand over this backfield to their rookie first-round pick And I don't maybe it is the injury, but 27% of the snaps is really gross We didn't draft him for this to be the result Emmanuel Wilson led the way with 38% and Halani 36% Halani actually had more snaps inside the five than Emmanuel Wilson did I'm a little squeamish about starting Jadarion price, but Especially since this week. I mean, how good was he? How can we look at it and say how can we sugarcoat this and say that six carries for five carries Excuse me for 15 yards against Washington. I mean maybe Washington
in his run defense is good, I don't know, but Jadarian Price was a loser, and I think fantasy managers are gonna have to think twice about starting him moving forward, even as like a number three receiver or non-PPR flex, but I'm just as discouraged over Jamison Williams. The Lions have scored 31, 31, and 31 points in each of their first three games, and we don't even have 50 yards from Jamison Williams in the game yet this year. We don't have a touchdown from Jamison Williams in the game this year. I love the talent, but we're seeing things play out, where Jamison Williams is not being used the way that he was in the second half of last season, and part of it might just be because Sam Laporta who didn't have a ton of targets today, anyway, should have had a touchdown, he had a normal touchdown, but Laporta on the field seems to be the guy that kind of saps the upside from Jamo, and I think if you've got other wide receivers that you're looking at on your bench, and they're getting you decent fantasy production, you're gonna have to roll the dice at some point and bench Jamison Williams. Well, this morning I said I'm just gonna put-- - Good luck when you do, I was gonna put my entire-- - Well, but if you had done it at any point in the first three games of the season, you'd be very happy. - Well, sorry, go ahead and tell the story. - Yeah, this morning I said I was gonna put my entire fantasy reputation on Jamison Williams, and I was going to guarantee that he was gonna score more than 12 PPR fantasy points, so-- - Do you remember what I guaranteed? - That it would not be between 10 and 12, what was it? - I think I guaranteed he would not score between 10 and 18 points. - He scored like 21 fantasy points this whole year. - Yeah, but the next, like he could score 21 points in the next game. - That is Jamo, that is Jamo and a nutshell. And they have Caroline and then Arizona. - And then Arizona. - Great, so they're gonna score more games with 31 points. - Yeah. - All right, I'd have to believe that Jardarian Price was not fully healthy if he got 27% of the snaps. - I'll take one more look at the snaps and see if he stopped playing in the fourth quarter. - No, I just don't think they were using it. He had 10 carries and 13 carries, the two games before that. He gets five in this game, and I don't know, a manual Wilson had nine carries for 14 yards. So it's not like-- - He played into the fourth quarter. His last snap was fourth quarter, 255. - Not saying he was removed from the game, I'm saying he wasn't fully healthy, and I'm thinking they didn't use him because of his status coming into the game. That's what I'm saying. - Could have been that. - It's also three games in a row of the Washington Red Defense, but really good. - Yeah, yeah, it is. - Sunny Styles has been great. - All right, we had a lot of almost touchdowns. Jamie's winner, Michael Wilson had an almost touchdown. Mack Hollins, Tramick Bride, Chris Olave, Teterobic Millen was held in the end zone. Trevor Lawrence, we have the clip of Trevor Lawrence. We like, yeah, I wanted to give a-- - Oh, that was so funny. - Yeah, I don't know if we have that, but Trevor Lawrence-- - So long story short, he, Lawrence has a run, it looks like he's gonna score. He took a knee at the one with eight minutes left in the game. Like this is how bad it got for the Patriots, that Trevor Lawrence is playing games with them. Just so basal tootin could score a touchdown. - Yeah, right, then basal tootin. - He said it was for his fancy measures. That was hilarious. There were more. Chris Goblin had it. - 84 yard touchdown. - What's that? - Chris Goblin had an 84 yard touchdown. - Chris Goblin, Bill had a 58 yard touchdown callback, didn't he? - Yes, he did. - I don't know if that's that. - Pretty had a 43 yard touchdown run callback. - And then through it to the guy that got a callback for a touchdown later in the drive. - Yeah. - Here's the Lawrence clip. - The play with eight minutes left when you escaped and went down at the one. You don't wanna score a touchdown? - Well, I mean, hindsight probably just to score because he scored the very next play. Trying to run the clock out a little bit. You know, I'm trying to help support the basal tootin fantasy people out there. So got basal no touchdown. - Play with eight minutes left. - Awesome. Thank you. - Does he not realize that people drafted him in fantasy football? - Yeah. - No, but I don't think what people realize is that he drafted basal tootin and his fantasy. - There you go. And the second straight week where basal tootin has a one yard touchdown run. And Chris Rodriguez also had a short yarded touchdown run. But again, it's good to see that tootin is at least involved there. All right, we're gonna take a break. We'll get to the game starting with Detroit and the Jets are really good game. 31, 24 to Detroit. We'll talk about it when we come back. The Jets, you know, honestly, I hope Breesaw has missed too much time. The Jets are not bad. They are one and two, but a couple of tough losses here. Detroit 31, Jets 24. We already discussed the Breesaw situation. Garrett Wilson with a big game and he's healthy. Geno Smith, I mean, is this just because he played Detroit? Jamie gets Chicago next week. 19% roster, did we buy it into Geno Smith? Who, this was his first good fantasy game, but he's playing pretty well this year. - Run game might be suspect with Breesaw's injury matchup. Like you said, it could be a situation depending on the quarterback is for the Bears, where they're chasing points. Yeah, I think Geno Smith's in that low end starting conversation for sure. And you're starting Justin Herbert or Drake May at this point. This is a quarterback you could pivot to because there's probably more upside right now. - Okay, let's talk about the Lions. I'm gonna say something that's crazy. - Are you gonna say that Jaymes and Moims is gonna score 12 fantasy points? - You're gonna say you hate to mere games, they're too good. - Well, he is too good, it's crazy. You talked about how they've scored 31 points every game. Does it bother you that it seems to take them? It seems to take them so, are they not as good on offense as we thought? It feels like they struggle for a half. And they like have to be. - You just watched the Giants and Titans. This is not the way to pivot. - Yeah, but I mean, those are the two worst teams in football. - Are you saying they should be scoring 12 points like a word? - As the golf manager in many leagues, I feel like I wish it were a little easier for them. It seems like it takes them a while to get going here. Is anybody have any concerns about the Lions offense or am I just crazy? - You're crazy. - You're not crazy. - You're not crazy because it feels like golf should have a couple of, or at least one, maybe 30 point game in here. - Yeah, he's got one. He got it in week two. - Oh, yeah, against the bills, yeah. - Almost 38 points. - Yeah, I guess. - Hey, it sounds like blushing. - I am crazy. - He's currently QB 5 at 27.2 fantasy points per game. - Yeah. - Okay, okay. Laporta, he's around 50 yards every game. Hopefully he scores. He almost scored today. - Yeah, he should have had one today. - Let's talk about the bills and chargers. Buffalo 24 Los Angeles 26. The bills committed 10 penalties and lost three fumbles. - You want to talk about Cedic? - Throw up the Jets graphic again. Let's talk about Canyon Cedic. Sorry, that's a good call. - We're too busy talking about how bad the Lions offense is. - For Braylon Allen and Time on the Jets. - Well, so Braylon Allen is for Tuesday's show, we, you know, whatever we'll talk about. - I have a quick Canyon Cedic question. Is he so good that the Genies out of the bottle now? Or if, if Ed and I Mitchell is back next week, is he still kind of buried? - I think it's a combination of Mitchell being out. The Lions being so bad against that. I mean, you think about it coming into this week. The All and KK just killed them and then week one, it was both Noah Fant and John Johnson beating them up. So without their safety, they're just terrible at this position, they're the new bangles. So any tight end that's facing them, you're going to want to play your fantasy options. But look, Cedic is a first round talent. I would imagine they're going to be in games like this, more often than not, when they're playing good offenses that they're going to have to keep up and throw the ball more and that's going to benefit them. They didn't have to do it in the first two weeks of season as much. So yes, I think this is a great low end starting option that you want to have on your roster just to see if it continues. - It's a little weird how Add and I Mitchell had 12 targets last week and now this week, GDub got on track, but Cedic had eight targets too. I'm starting to think that this offense can support two pass catchers. And I kind of like Cedic better than Mitchell because of the mismatch opportunities that he provides and the track record for Frank Rike, you know I've talked about this a lot during the preseason. One of the things that has always stood out in his offenses is that a tie-down does well and gets a lot of use. And the reason why I wasn't more bullish on Cedic, number one, he was hurt. And number two, the Ed Mason Taylor. So I wasn't sure which tie-down it would be. He could rotate from week to week. Now I don't think it's rotating. Now I think in Cedic has kind of earned a bigger foothold in this offense moving forward. And that's only going to mean good things for fantasy. Just another great tie then that we're going to look at starting. Sorry, one more Adam. Cedic or Colson Loveland Restor season? I think you've got a, I don't want to be reactionary but Kenyan Cedic has more fantasy points in one game than Colson Loveland has probably in three at this point because we don't know what Loveland's going to do tomorrow but it ain't going to be great with Case Kingdom at quarterback. I kind of want to lean towards Cedic. I'll answer that if I see what happens Monday. (laughing) Like that. All right, can we go to Buffalo now? Everybody okay with that? Yes. Yeah, yeah. I think you're looking forward to it. Are you sure you don't want to talk about Isaac Tesla? Buffalo 24 Los Angeles Chargers 16. We already said Herbert is droppable. How concerned are we about Hampton and Maconkey? Do we consider them just start 'em easy no doubt about it? Heath, Starters, Maconkey and Hampton? I thought you were going to continue wrapping up all the ways the bills tried to give this game away. Because you weren't done yet. No, I, listen, it's a bad matchup next week against Seattle. It didn't seem to bother the Washington Pass game too much this week but the run game was still completely dreadful. I think I'm probably going to have Hampton ranked as a low end RB2 next week. Somewhere probably right around
twenty and um McCunkey's probably about the same at wide receiver, maybe a little lower. Okay. And on the bill side of the ball, Jamie, what should the DJ Moore manager be feeling right now? Ten targets, six catch, just 67 yards. That's a pretty good day for guy you might not have thought was going to play this week. So is he healthy? I don't know. I mean, my guess is probably not, but they didn't treat him as if he wasn't healthy. So you're starting him until you have better options or unless you have better options. Okay. And forty one of sixty three snaps for DJ Moore. Okay. Are we were is anybody worried like, uh-oh, Dalton, Kincaid fooled you? Sixty one percent snap share, sixty seven percent route share for who? Kincaid. Yeah, more is the stupid sumble. Yeah. Yeah. I'm not, I'm not freaking out about Kincaid yet. All right. Two catches for thirty eight hours. Look, not a good day for Josh Allen. Uh, so just kind of a weird day for the bills offense, but they found a way to win ready for the next game. They pulled a twenty twenty five game plan out. Kansas City, twenty four, Miami ten, Miami dominated time of possession here. Thirty four minutes and twenty one seconds. Mahomes, nineteen point nine fantasy points, twenty of twenty four. Uh, so good gate, good day for him, but not a great day for fantasy. And Walker, good, yeah, blah, blah, blah. We talked about Rishi Rice. He's a winner. I don't really, I mean, Dave, what should the Travis Kelsey manager be feeling right now? He had two catches for fifty nine yards in a touchdown, but only two targets. They should be feeling lucky. And I suppose with just this large number of young tight ends that are available on the waiver wire, if you could sell high on Travis Kelsey, you should do it. I just don't think you're going to get much for him because every team that wants a tight end that's got Colson Lovelin and doesn't want him anymore or is panicking about Dalton King Cade, whatever, who never needs a tight end. They're just going to go the waiver wire and pick up Cadeek themselves. So you're kind of stuck if you've got Kelsey, but I don't hate the idea of using them as a low end starter moving forward. Okay. He's currently averaging sixteen point four fantasy points per game. Right. So it's not like he's going to totally fall off. He's just, I don't know, what do you think about two targets? It's, I kind of, I kind of feel like Rashid Rice, they try to get rice going a lot more this week than they have in the past. And if push comes to shove in another competitive game for the Chiefs, and they're going to have a bunch of them, that's when I think Kelsey might be okay. Yeah. They also just played Patrick's or Tan and Sauce Gardner. Who do you have a how often did those guys just, it's just good, good defensive act on the other side. You know, you can split it up however you want to. I mean, you know, take that for its worth. I think this is a really good offense that's going to start seeing a little bit more man coverage because defenses are going to start to focus on Walker. And my homes can crush them. And Kelsey can crush against man too. I know he's not fast, but he can still separate and be on the same page as moms. Same thing with Rice. He can do that too. Adam, I'm going to save you some work this week. When you get to the Dolphins game preview, just say, sit them all. Yeah. Well, that's not necessarily going to be the case. Oh, they're at Minnesota. Not going to be the case when we start to have by weeks and we need like someone with a pulse, but yeah, Minnesota next week Dolphins not going to do well. Nice. Nice. See Malik Willis run for a change. I can tell you what the number one defense will be for all of us next week. Oh, yeah. All right. Malik Washington though, he did have 10 targets. They were a lot of target. I mean, 10 PPR points, 30 36 pass attempts for Malik Willis Carolina and Cleveland. Let's go here. Cleveland, 21, Carolina, 18, Bryce Young struggled. Jalen Kocher got hurt. He was struggling. Even when Kocher was playing, 48 pass attempts for 15.6 fantasy points is no good. Did the bubble burst on Bryce Young Heath or we just let's be patient. You know, I thought because I watched quite a bit of that game, actually, and I thought Cleveland did a very good job of making Bryce Young uncomfortable and Bryce Young played like the past years Bryce Young. So I think it's really going to come down to how well they can protect him on a week to week basis. They did a pretty decent job of it the first two weeks of the season. They didn't do as good of a job of it. And I think it depends on Jalen Kocher's health because it's a lot easier to play quarterback when you have two good wide receivers than when you have one because once Kocher was out, they just completely took Tataroa McMillan away. He was not an available option. And Bryce Young had to try to throw it to anybody else. Here comes the Detroit defense that just faced one good wide receiver. And I obviously very potentially good sidehand. And we get Tataroa McMillan and Darren Waller. And it's a very similar setup. So I think it's an easy bounce back game for Bryce Young next week. Okay. And Darren Waller, as Jamie mentioned, you know, great opportunity. 26% rostered. He had all eight of his targets with, I think it was actually whatever. It was either with Kocher off the field or after the injury and gets the Lions. And the Shawn Watson, man, the Shawn Watson two straight games with right around 24 fantasy points and six point per passing touchdown leagues. He'll get Pittsburgh. That's an interesting matchup. How are we feeling now about Quinshaw and Judkins? 18 carries for 70 yards. Jamie plus two catches for nine yards. I thought when Devon Lloyd was ruled out, there'd be an opportunity for Judkins to have a better game, certainly better game script because I thought they'd be in this game, first home game for them as well after two straight road games to open the game. So he definitely looked a lot better. I was a little disappointed in his role in the past game after having five catches a week before and five targets. So we'll see what this looks like for him moving forward. The touchdowns will start to come. He's not going to score a lot, but the touchdowns will be there. So looking at the Pittsburgh defense, they're not going to be an easy matchup. It is a short week, which we know sometimes favors running backs. So I think you just kind of put him in the same spot where we've had him ranked consensus wise, low end number two, running back range. If you have better options, we'll certainly dissect what the backup running backs that are stepping into starting roles look like by comparison to Judkins. So Braylon Allen, Oli Gordon, Kendrick Miller, he's unfortunately closer to them than he is to the top of the food chain at the position. So I don't think you should have anything glaring one way or the other to change your mind on Quenchon Judkins. Great game, Harold Pannon. Yeah, seven for 51 and two touchdowns on nine targets with the Sean Watson row. That was another one with Lloyd out that should have been looked at a little closer. And nine targets for Casey Concepcion, four for Denzel Boston. Casey Concepcion had one yard per target. Yeah, he's kind of dropped over right now. Yeah. Pannon or Kelsey rest of season. Kelsey. Yeah, probably Kelsey. Okay. Pittsburgh. This is a great game. Pittsburgh. Very fun game. Bangles 27. Joe Burrow scores 28.9 fantasy points. We talked about Chase Brown earlier. I think we are pretty good with Jamar Chase and T Higgins. Yeah, Aaron Rogers with a good game. Do we make anything of that? He's not saying this is a joke. Did T Higgins look better to you this week? I don't know. I didn't watch it. Yeah. I did. He did. No, I know Adam was concerned. So I was too concerned. You know, it was the concerns on exactly the word I would use it was intrigued. It was like, what's going on here? But you know, look, he didn't have that grade of a game aside from that weird sitting down 30 something you are touchdown. But still, I mean, he's T Higgins. You don't think to answer your question out of my think, like, I'm not going to be ranking here in Rogers and starting quarterback anytime soon. But the way that Mike McCarthy is running this offense is very friendly for quarterback scoring fantasy points if everybody can do their job. And I thought the offensive line was a little bit better today. And DK caught the touchdown. He didn't do much else. You guys so lucky with the DK touch down. You started in this week. He's getting to throw a lot and he's throwing down field more. And so like that, that gives more of a possibility of Aaron Rogers being good. Am I going to start him at Cleveland next week? No. If he's decent against Cleveland, and then he gets to face Indianapolis's defense the next week. And there's teams on a buy. Maybe. Yeah. Um, I don't know if anybody caught it, but did DJ Turner shadow DK McCaff? I did. That was quite a bit. And I think it was Daxle and Turner collided in the end zone on DK McCass. Yeah. Interesting. Oh, we have a, do we have a Josh Allen injury? Oh, my, um, I see Dr. Jesse Morris talking about it on Twitter an hour ago. Okay. We're going to keep an eye on that. I know you had multiple brain parts, but yeah. And I hope it's hope nothing serious. I mean, the guy plays through everything. Indianapolis and Houston, Colts, went at 19 to 17 wild game here. Colts had the ball from more than 35 minutes. Hopefully we don't have to, you know, even think about streaming Xavier Hutchinson, but there's no guarantee that Nico's back and Hutchinson led the team in every receiving category. Tide and catches, lead in targets, lead in yards, which is not saying much 51 yards on six targets. He's talked about Dalton Schultz earlier. Is there anything to say about this? Like, you know what? Let's talk a little bit about Keenan Allen and Tyler Warren, which talked about Josh Downs. But Dave Keenan Allen, nine targets scored a touchdown. He was pretty, he was decent in week one at a terrible week too. But he's 30% rostered. And then Tyler Warren, like, what a weird year. I mean, the yards per target must be so bad right now. He said 13, 21 and 55 yards. But today, a 10 target.
gets in 55 yards, what do you think about Alan and Tyler Warren? It kind of feels like Warren is their most short area targeted pass catcher. And Ken and Alan is actually starting to get a couple of throws a little bit further downfield as his downs and downs can even get some even deeper throws. But a lot of those really aren't happening from Daniel Jones. I thought that Ken and Alan actually had a turn back the clock kind of game. I don't know if I can expect him to do this every week, but in full PPR. You can at least think about him as a flex option. Maybe it's a week like this where he doesn't score a touchdown and it's 6 for 60 and that's not bad for a flex in a full or even half PPR. I would just I would double down on Josh Downs. I think he's great. I know he had 11 targets and just five catches, but I don't think a lot of that is on him. And Warren as long as he's still going to get a bunch of targets, it's going to be good games like this in full PPR, less good and half a non PPR. One big reason why I think they had the game that they had was because John and the Taylor was not good running the football at all, but especially into the third quarter. And then when Houston lost Al Cheyere, their linebacker, Indy just started gashing them with the run. It wasn't just Taylor, but it was also McGowan. That helped Taylor's rushing average go up a little bit. And then Al Cheyere came back and Indy did have to throw toward the end of the game. And I think whenever they have a game like this where Jonathan Taylor can't take over, you're going to see three guys with nine plus targets each week. Okay. Bigger disappointment right now, Texans are the chargers. Wow. Chargers. The Texans always start Owen too. I mean Owen three surprise. Yeah. I think you're right. I think it's the chargers. Well, it's certainly our expectations were higher for the chargers and at least you can look at Houston and say, all right, we knew their offensive line wasn't great going in, but they've only played one game with Nico Collins. I would say the Texans. I think the Texans are more of a disappointment because they were, I mean, I think it was bleach report had had them as the best roster in the NFL coming in the season. There were somebody that may be saying that wrong, but the only thing that I think you would maybe go to chargers is the Texans can still rally in this division and catch out the chargers. Owen three, they're not catching anybody. Last Vegas, yeah. Okay. So last Vegas. Just real quick, would you rather Sam LaPorta or Tyler Warren rest of season? Warren. Warren. Um, I probably still take LaPorta. Jacksonville 35, New England six. We've discussed the New England Patriots. They're tough to trust, tough to start and you might be dropping some of them. For Jacksonville, these bagel tutinus like a must start stud, he's, um, I mean, listen, this is what must start studs do against great run defenses. So he definitely took a step towards being that here. And I think he was, I had him like RB 20 this week. I think probably somewhere in that RB 14 to 18 range is where I would put him. So if that's a, he's a must start stud RB two, if those exist. It's one thing to start jail and war and when he's got the whole backfield to himself against Cincinnati, it's another thing to start tutin who does not have the whole backfield to himself against Cincinnati. With Trevor Lawrence, say, Tutin had 51% of the snaps, he, he Rodriguez and Abdullah each had two of six snaps inside the 10. And liquid Allen was doing his thing on third downs. So I, I worry a little bit about that, that there are just too many running backs that are going to take some work off of Tutin and you're going to need him to just like break off a bunch of long runs and or have his quarterback take a knee at the one in order for him to score a touchdown. And I'm not ready to say Cincinnati's defense stinks. I know that night their linebacker was out early in the game and he came back. Maybe that's part of the reason why Warren had such a big game. But I, I think Tutin is probably in that RB2 conversation, but I'd still put him lower. I still think he's closer to 24 than he would be to 18. Washington 33. I just, I just tutin by the way, if you heard it. Washington 33 Seattle 31 edit that out. Just kidding. So are we sure, Trevor Lawrence better than Stephon digs rest of season? No. I am. I'm sure. I'm going to rank them both as high and wide receiver threes. Yep. Okay. And do we feel good? I mean, look, it was such a tough matchup for Bill, but he got 19 carries. That's two games out of three with more than 16 carries. So I think it might be a matter of time before they phase him out. Like, I know we had the great run. Yeah. That's a bulltake. Okay. I think they can phase him out for who I don't know if they're ever going to be, they need to find somebody who can run the ball more effectively than Rashad White. That's for sure. And White had 4.4 yards per carry, but Croskey Merit just has too many carries that go nowhere. And so he's just like this boomer bust running back. And I don't, I don't know if he's going to have 19 carries in the game, the rest of the season. You think I'll have 16 good 19s a lot, but you know, I don't even know if we'll have 16. He had 58% of the snaps overall. We know what's going to happen. He's just a chapter. I agree. I agree. Although we had one of two snaps inside the time today. I'm not sure as sure about the boom bus thing, like he had the highest success rate, which kind of measures like what percentage of your rushes are successful in the NFL at running back last year. Like he generally is good at running the football and not great at everything else. Yeah, I, yeah, I just wonder thinking out loud is the offensive line without, you know, it's part of the problem. About your left tackle. It's, it's, it's, it's worse now, but all right, look, it gets the Colts in the Giants next week. So it might be kind of like put up or shut up for Croskey Merit. I'm with you on that. So let's say he has another game in week four, where he doesn't average 4 yards a carry because he hasn't done that yet this year. Week five will be the Joe Boo game form against the Giants. All right, John, speaking of which the two in one New York Giants with a thrilling victory against the plucky upstart Tennessee Titans, really just a great win. And only the Titans would have lost this game today. So the ball feels like a word. I don't think so. The offense would have won. Yeah. I've often tried to say it with the Giants. Now, you know, you might be wondering about the weather. I don't know. I don't know what the answer is. There was pretty much no downfield passing in this game. But I think if you have Malik neighbors, you've got to be freaking out a little bit. Yeah. Jamie, let me throw it to you. What do you think about Malik neighbors? Five catches for 26 yards on six targets after one catch last week for one yard. I still think there's a by-low opportunity here. You know, the weather is a huge part of this. Let's see what happens next week when they're playing the Cardinals and what could be one of the more fun games if both offenses show up. I think the Cardinals defense isn't exactly the one that I think is an exactly the type of defense that will just complete shut down the Giants. But look, we kind of knew going into the season, right? What John Harvall wanted, which was to be a more conservative offense. And, you know, we thought it was going to be with Jackson Darts. So maybe there'd be some opportunities for some explosives because of how dark plays. And I still think there's that potential with James Winston because of how I think this defense will go. So when their challenge and they're chasing points, we might see a better Malik neighbors. So if you can get him while he's cheap, get him while he's cheap, I wouldn't be overspending for him. I don't know how healthy he is. You know, he'd ask about DJ Moore, you know, when neighbors would play him through a shoulder injury that, you know, may still be bothering him also, but this may just not be the Jamie's experience that we were hoping for. And again, it's one game, one game in bad weather, one game where they don't have to do very much to win the game. So let's just see what happens when their challenge a little bit in the next coming weeks. They also almost lost the game. If it wasn't for Cam War getting picked in the end zone like he did at the end of the game. The score touched down, the giants lose, the tenor of this conversation changes completely. If there's one nice thing for fantasy, Cam scataboo, it looks like the giants have settled on him as their main back, almost 80% of the snaps, almost every single third down snap and all their snaps inside the ten. No way. Yeah, their snaps inside the ten. All three of their snaps inside the ten. Well, yeah, he's their guy. On the other side, is there anything encouraging here? I mean, look, do you, are you thrilled about six catches or 58 yards? Yes, for car, car, no, no, but it's worth, it's not bad. Wondale Robinson is a by-week receiver at this point. All right, Wondale. Wondale is a good game against his old team. And Tony Pollard? I mean, Tony Pollard. Tony Pollard, 21 touches. Taj A Spears had three. It's the giants. They stink. But Tony Pollard had 21 touches in Taj A Spears. Well, I mean, he had Spears coming in at less than a hundred percent. I think if we have him on the injury port again, then you're more encouraged about, you know, Pollard moving forward. Are you ever going to feel like, oh, I have to start Tony Pollard? I think he's in that, you know, Juddkins range with less enthusiasm. Yeah. Baltimore Houston, Indie, Cleveland, Cincinnati, about that of matters. Yeah. Tell us these next five games. San Francisco 36 and Arizona 27. Is Cam War the starting quarterback for the Titans in 2027? No, I'm starting to think no. It sucks. By the way, he doesn't throw a lot of interceptions. I know he threw that pick. That was his first in like a very long time, first of the season. At one point during the game, they said he had thrown a hundred and 58 straight passes, I think, without an interception. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That was ridiculous. Austin Janks. It's phenomenal, Jakes. San Francisco with the win here over here.
zone a good game for fantasy. You know, the Niners really didn't run a lot of plays. I mean, they had the ball for 21 minutes and 16 seconds. If you started Debo Samuel, you are, you should buy a lottery ticket. He had an 80 yard touchdown, which didn't even count as a catch. She had it on a hook and, oh, you started him, Heath. Well, I mean, I have 28 leagues. I started everyone. There you go. But no, no, I mean, it's hard to run a lot of plays when you average 11 yards per pass and six yards per rush. The field's just not that long. If it only takes you four plays to score and then you have to wait to get the ball back again. You just don't get to run very many plays. Brock party's the MVP of the league right now, right? He's up there. I would say Alan would like to have a word. Alan, not after this week. Like you've got to take, you got to put him onto the microscope. Well, if they had, if they had, I mean, he, Josh Allen did a good job of having that game against the quality of opponent that you can still win. If they would have played a competitive football team and lost the game, then he'd be out of the, yeah, very be first, but it's one of those two. He's a great call, Heath. I mean, you're crushing it with this preseason call of Brock party. You talked about Jeremiah Love. Jamie talked about Michael Wilson. I think you can move on for Marvin Harrison at this point, right? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. They was more encouraging, but clearly not where you want to be. And I don't know. What do you, what do you think about the 49ers weapons if Mike Evans misses time? It's just, obviously, Kiddles, you know, he was started in 88% of leagues and he's going to keep being started, but does Debo become a must start? Well, who's going to, who's going to toss the bolts home? Well, I'll start Debo as a wide receiver three if there's no Mike Evans. Okay. I agree. And he's Jordan Watkins. Yep. That you mentioned. How about Baltimore 34 Dallas 31? Was this the game of the week? Yes, it was the game of the week. Great job. Thank you very much. Except you butchered it though. I did, I did it in Portuguese. Give me a break. No, so Heath, so this is what we have so far. We have a terrible game of the week for the first week of the season. We have a mostly forgotten game of the week for the second week. He forgot it. He didn't do it totally. Yes. And then he played the wrong music for the third game of the week. Yeah. And you butchered a language. Yes, I did. That was Google's, but I'm going to search for credit for this one. He 100% said in Portuguese. And so we're getting in trouble for that one. Oh, yeah. All right. Safe Flowers is amazing. He had 104 total yards and almost had a touchdown. And do you say that in Portuguese, Jamie? Pickens is back, I guess. What the heck are we supposed to do with Jake Ferguson? He 35% started. I mean, he's got 11 targets this season, but he has three touchdowns. Probably ignore him in week four. And then when the buys start happening, he's someone you might start. Okay. Anything else? Don't you consider tight ends like this? Like he's obviously a touchdown or bus tight end. But when they're on high scoring teams and they're expected to be in high scoring games, do you give them maybe just like a once over just before you lock in your lineup? I would just say that like he scored a touchdown per game so far this season. And he's right now tied in 16. No, I get it. I'm not excited about starting him. He did want to go to he got tackled at the goal. Yeah, that's right. That's right. He's a red zone guy for them. Yep. It's really all that comes out. They've certainly used lamb and pickens more for obvious reasons. But if it's going to be a high scoring game and you're really stuck at tight end, Jake Ferguson is an option. Okay. I mean, the Cowboys and the Ravens are pretty much you know self-explanatory. I guess if you want me to talk about Lamar, it's not like he's lighting it up. No, that's not the thing. We should just say like very encouraging that Zay flowers played as little as he did and gave us what he did. Well, how much city pay? I'm gonna tell you give me a second. Unless you've got it or I'm gonna get and no, I'm just going off the eyeball test. I'm going to guess 45% of the snips. His route rate was 28.4%. So I think I need a rule on. Okay. I need a ruling, Jamie, since Zay flowers played half of the more than that and basically played half the snaps in week two, he should basically have one game played for the contest. No, 41 points. We're not understanding it. No. Baltimore with the three 14 routes. Sorry, I'm sorry to cut you off. I'm 14 routes. 64% of the route of the routes they had. Remember Lamar only through 20 times. Yeah. All right. So what is the point for game now? 17 saps total. What's that? Flower versus Smith. What's the points for game? It's like 21 to 18. 21 to 18 flowers. Flowers is up. Okay. I think he had I think he had 15. Last Vegas 35 New Orleans 27 another really exciting game and Tyler Schuck got a little sloppy at the end there. Brock Bowers. We talked about on the top of the show. Kirk cousins two straight games of 26 or more fantasy points and six points for past touchdown leagues. Jamie starter sick Kirk cousins against the chiefs next week. And don't forget to get a three touchdown game against Miami, but he also threw two interceptions in that game. So he's been playing very well. I think you look at him and you say, if I'm stuck, I'll consider it. If I have him on my bench in a super flexor two quarterback league is probably time to start putting him in the starting lineup. If not, make sure he's in your starting lineup. Look, he just got his best receiver back. And Brock Bowers then look like he was hindered at all. So I don't know. I think when you start to compare to God, Drake May and Justin Herbert, you know, it's, it's, it's her cousins. John, John Johnson with two TVs. What how do you not even put him in the notes? Oh, not John Johnson. Somebody scored two touchdowns in this game and he's not even in the notes. Who the hell am I missing? Mike Washington? No offense. No offense. No offense. Yeah. I mean, it's wild. That's three on the season for thrown to the tight ends a lot. And yeah, I don't think they had what six touchdowns from their tight ends in this game combined. Yeah, both teams combined. How about that? Bowers had one mayor had one. Fant had two. John had two. Great game for John. Who's a more valuable player, you know, at their respective position, Devon Vale or John Johnson? Do you want John Johnson? Do you feel like you can have any confidence in starting Vale? It's waning. Um, he's still going to be on the cost of a starter in three or six weeks. Maybe. But here's a game where it's shut through 42 times. The Saints just are continuing to do what they do. And the tight ends were just way more involved than what we would have said collectively. 12 targets combined. John at age just makes me a little nervous about Vale moving forward. Dave's favorite band from Mike the 2000s. Fountains of waning. Anything else you want to talk about from this game? Does Bowers catch McBride? See how close they are as it is. Can we just rewind? I don't know, 10 months. And Brock Bowers coming back and scoring 40 something points in his first game back from injury. And oh, he's tied at one. Not even rest of season. Just overall, he's going to be the best. You know, like, are we getting ahead of ourselves at Bowers? I don't think we are. But this is not the first time he's done something like. I don't know. Listen, man, both these guys are awesome. I'll take my, I'll take my chances of getting ahead of with somebody with his Brock Bowers. Well, so Bowers has 27.6 ppr points today. And McBride's got 19.7 on the season per game per game. No, no, total points. Oh, you think Bowers will catch McBride and total points? I don't know if that's going to happen. I'm 100% taking McBride rest of season. But Bowers, Bowers 27.6 is better than any game McBride's had this year. McBride's just had three games with at least 16. You're taking McBride rest of season. 100%. Wow. Okay. You're not. Look, I was the McBride guy. I'm taking Bowers rest of season. I don't know if I'm taking McBride rest of season. But I love him. But I'd have to do. I mean, come on. McBride is awesome. This was never about McBride not being awesome. This is about Bowers being better. He's got 34 targets in three games, Tray McBride. I mean, what does he have to do? So, how many with the math there, smart guy? How many is 13 per game? I mean, it's more. It's 39, but still like I don't think McBride just I honestly think McBride has earned it at this point. Like McBride is awesome. But BVB got the top box. He's earned it. We have one more game left. We have Minnesota and Tampa Bay, Minnesota 23 Tampa Bay 16. Johnny, who has more. Jordan Addison 78% roster. He had nine targets on Kyler's 29 pass attempts. So that's a shallow league guy that you have to go get. I mean, we're have we really gone an hour and 11 minutes and not really talked about Jefferson leaving with an injury. It's mentioned it. I don't know what the severity is. I think if he's out next week, I'm going to sit just in Jefferson. Oh great. If he's out next week, I'm going to start Jordan Addison. There's a fancy advice for you folks. Yeah, Kyler I'm going to sit. Yeah.
- Were you impressed with Murray in this game? - No. - I started six of eight and finished nine of 21. - But I'm not entirely sure I'm going to sit him next week. In fact, I'm probably going to start him next week. - Right, it's Miami. - I think if Kyle had been signed to a Viking team, it didn't have Justin Jefferson. We wouldn't have had any interest in him, really. So we need Jefferson out there to make him look better. But, right, for sure, but I'm still, I'll start him without Justin Jefferson against the dolphins. - Probably, yeah. Bucky Irving. Any concerns here, Jamie, the last two games have been a little-- - First of all, that's such a great joke from Mike and Jack. Don't show up, it's very good. - Okay. Don't see it, but anyway-- - Any concerns over Bucky? - Yeah, any concerns over Bucky Irving? 15 carries, two catches today. And 58 total yards. - I'll be more concerned if Baker doesn't play. Then I will be if Baker does play. 'Cause if Baker plays, I think, you know, Bucky's look great. He's just, I know you said that there was a potential injury. I thought he was the one that got destroyed on the play that Baker got hurt in past protection. So I'm not sure. It's sometimes that, you see it quickly. He wears number seven, can't say where's number one. I didn't go back and watch, so I don't know who it was, but it looked like it was Bucky. In any event, I think he's still number two running back. You know, so this offense is clearly struggling right now, but it's so hard to judge against Minnesota. This is clearly one of the best of not the best defenses and football, they're offensive wine is struggling right now. Bucky had a couple of bad drops, but Baker's just playing horrible. And so if he's gonna continue to play horrible or back up, he's gonna be there like, it's gonna be tough to say, Bucky's like elite. - Do you remember on the show this morning, Adam? You asked me, how many points in Akebuku was projected to score? - Yeah, what was the answer? - 11.5, what do you score? 11.2. - Oh, nice, that's kind of it. Did you nail any, did you get any like right on the money? - I don't know, but I couldn't be a much more useless than one that the Noida Booga did because it's just like, ugh. - Yeah, yeah. Well, he was started in 75% of these was honestly surprised me a little bit. I thought it'd be lower than that. I would have taken it. - I would have taken 11. - It's gonna be. - Well, yeah, for sure. - Although they do play Green Bay next week. - All right, last game, Rams at Broncos. - We got the word thought that's a win. - No, not Green Bay or Tampa Bay. - What's that? - I think Green Bay is worse, but. - I would agree, but Tampa is awful. - 24/13 Rams over the Broncos. Any major takeaways from this one? - No way, the Broncos are scoring 13 points. - All right, we'll talk to you tomorrow on fantasy football today. I hope week three was awesome for you. We'll see you soon. (upbeat music) - Paramount podcasts. It was a gruesome discovery off a dirt road in Georgia. - Hunters had found a body. - Was it immediately clear to you that this woman had been murdered? - Yes. - But who was this mystery woman in the woods? - That looks like Mindy. - I'm Erin Moriarty, and from 48 hours, this is the woman in the woods. - I have never wanted to be wrong, like this in my whole entire life. - Follow and listen to the woman in the woods, wherever you get your podcasts.
