Week 3 Mailbag Q&A! Start/Sit, Waivers & Questions Answered! (09/26 Fantasy Football Podcast)

This Fantasy Football episode from CBS Sports addresses a mix of injury updates, weather-related game impacts, and strategic roster decisions. Dan’s late arrival due to a road crash leads to a humorous yet pointed discussion about show logistics and fairness. Key injuries include Andrew Thomas, Travis H. Ann, and DJ Moore, with several players listed as game-time decisions. Analysts recommend strong picks like Rashad White and Chuba Hubbard, while cautioning against overconfidence in players like Marvin Harrison Jr. or Justin Herbert, emphasizing patience and situational awareness. The episode also introduces a new "shadow rule" allowing one manager to substitute a bench player into the starting lineup once per season, adding a layer of strategy to fantasy leagues. Specific matchups, such as the Giants-Titans game, are scrutinized due to weather concerns and injury risks. Additionally, several fantasy league issues are raised—such as scoring format errors, commissioner misconduct, and the ethics of player reclaims—highlighting the need for transparency and fairness. Overall, the discussion underscores the importance of adaptability, roster flexibility, and sound judgment in navigating unpredictable game conditions and player availability.

This is Fantasy Football today from CBS Sports. >> So what a play! >> Can you believe this? >> It's a no again. >> It's time to dominate your fantasy league. >> It's to the races! >> He stays at his feet. >> He's just got to have the distance. >> Now, here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and he. [MUSIC] >> It's mail back time. And for about 10 or 15 minutes or so, we're gonna wait for Dan. He's not gonna beat, we're not gonna wait. We're gonna podcast without Dan. So it'll be me and Jamie and maybe an occasional impression of Dan. Hello, Jamie, heavy mail back. >> Dan is frantically trying to get to the show. What do you think he's saying to himself right now? >> Man, he completely didn't start without me. They couldn't wait like 15 minutes away to get the show going on. Right now, I mean, I know. Look, I accept responsibility. I was the one who was late, I get it. But it's a terrible rule. And it's a horrible rule and they shouldn't have to start on time. Something like that. >> He just said as a text. >> What did he say? >> There's a crash on the road. >> Get out of here. >> You can't make this bleep up. It's adding another seven minutes to my bleeping drive now. I'm bleeping pissed. >> He has had every excuse this guy. We are gonna just destroy him. >> I guarantee you, I guarantee you, he lingered at the place that he was at probably too long. >> You know, I don't think so. But wait until, just wait until I hear the excuses for Dan. We got bad weather this weekend. I didn't talk about that on the Friday show. And I should have, Jamie, if there are two games that are gonna be impacted, it looks like it'll be the commanders hosting the Seahawks and more so, the Giants hosting the Titans. What do we need to know here? >> Well, I mean, for the Giants, it's obviously a lot to digest with, well, both, I guess, home teams have backup quarterback. So, you know, if you wanna just be concerned in general, if the weather is that bad, then you can downgrade neighbors even more. I don't think anybody is aside from Superflex or two quarterback. Like, starting James Winston or Mark Smariotta, you know, maybe put a damper on the upside of what Sam Darnold could be in the Washington game and maybe a little bit more focused on the running backs there for all these teams. >> Yeah, I think, you know, it's kind of like, when nobody wants to start the commanders passing game, I don't think likely is gonna be someone that we're sitting because of this, but maybe, you know, I think bad weather can really throw off a game. But neighbors will be interesting coming off the game he just had. And he wasn't even that great against the Cowboys in week one. And I just got James Winston and may not have Andrew Thomas all these things. >> No, Thomas is gonna play. >> Thomas is gonna play okay, good. If, and we do have some injury updates for it here, if the weather's really bad, and this is why you gotta tune in Sunday morning, I'm sure we're gonna get a lot of neighbor's questions and we'll have some interesting neighbor's answers. It's not like he's not being ranked as top 12 guy this week, you know, it's not like he's an absolute slam dunk. All right, we'll get some YouTube questions first, and then we'll do the injuries. And although right now everybody is just (laughs) giving answers to why Dan is late. So here's a question from YouTube. With Nick Bosa out, should I transition from the 49ers DST to the Panthers, Jags, or Saints? >> I did move the 49ers behind the Jaguars. I think I still have them ahead of the Panthers and the Saints. So you can go with the Jaguars against the Patriots. Kyle Menongai, Rashad White, or Alvin Camera. >> So we don't have updates yet on Menongai. We also don't have, I think, a full thing you practice today in Travis H.M., but I don't know if he was limited or not. >> No, I'm pretty sure he's good to go. I think you practice in full. >> Okay, so then there you go. So I would lean Rashad White, I think, just given the, the expected game flow, and what he did last week with six catches, I think that's a good sign. >> Great, the trade in PPR. Give up My Breeze Hall for Parker Washington. I have B. John Robinson and Ken Walker. >> I still like the Breeze side slightly better, but I think that's a B minus at worst. >> That would be a C minus then, if you like, the Breeze side slightly better. >> Okay, sorry, C-mas. (laughing) >> Guiettean Price. Oh no, sorry, Guiettean Price from Marvin Harrison Jr. wouldn't be that high. Guiettean Flex, Jardarian Price, Marvin Harrison Jr. or Johan Johnson. >> Johan Johnson to me is the safest of the group. Price may get a little bit more run just with the weather situation being what it is in Washington, another injury report that we don't have a final designation on yet. So you can go with either of those two guys. You cannot play Marvin Harrison. >> Coker or Josh Downs? >> I like Coker slightly better, but I do like Downs as well. Got great news on Coker this week. Our Friday, excuse me, that he is good to go. >> Herbert or Bryce Young? >> I'd go Bryce Young. Pick two, Wix, Adonai Mitchell, who's questionable with a finger injury, Rashad Bateman. >> So as A-flowers practice in individual drills in Brazil, his final designation has not been done yet. Remember last week he practiced on Friday also, and then he was ruled as doubtful. So just keeping eye on that scenario, I would probably still play Wix in Bateman over Mitchell. As you said, the finger injury, now he was practicing with a heavy wrap on his hand, that could just be just protecting him in practice for today. So we don't know exactly what's gonna be the case, but I do believe that Aaron Glen said he's gonna play. >> He got his finger caught in a jersey, so I don't think it's a- >> On Thursday. >> Yeah. Vikings, DST, or Niners? >> Vikings. >> Need a running back and a flex in non-PPR, Ramandrey, Traveon, Valey, Godwin Ferguson. >> I still go Ramandrey over Henderson, but could be wrong there. I just don't know how the Patriots are going to give you up the touches or the playing time. And then in non-PPR with Puka listed as doubtful, I'm gonna go Ferguson. >> You want to see some pictures of why Dan is late? What is this? This is Dan holding money and there's Dan's scorecard. He did win by one stroke, it seems. So congratulations to Dan. >> Yeah. >> Jay, he's not abused. >> No, I mean, he told us not to talk about it as well. >> He said that he sent the pictures. >> All right, with the weather, a change from the Lions defense and go to the Giants instead. >> I would not. >> Well, actually, no, I would not go. >> I would use the Giants defense anyway. >> Yeah, right, right. >> Adam and I Mitchell are that on the earlier show? >> I'm not sure. Adam and I Mitchell are Cardinal Tate. >> Mitchell. >> Neighbors are DJ Moore. >> And I think if whatever reason Mitchell's out, I would pivot to like Xavier Hutchinson over Tate at this point. >> Neighbors are DJ Moore and DJ Moore is gonna be a game time decision. >> Yeah, he turned to practice on Friday, but was still in a non-contact jersey. He said yesterday I saw some quotes from him that he's good to go, but assuming that he does play, I'd go more over neighbors. >> Last one here for now is start three of these four. Devon H. Ann, Chubah Hubbard, Breeze Hall, Omari and Hampton. >> I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm gonna bench Devon H. Ann. >> Okay, fine. >> I mean, what's the argument for him? >> Got 20-something touches last week. >> Okay. Breeze Hall hasn't really gotten that, has he? >> I'm not sure that Breeze Hall, believe it or not, is the goal line back. >> Yeah, but he's a fast-knocked guy. >> Breeze Hall did have one to get to Detroit. >> Breeze Hall's had 24 and 21 touches. Okay, I'm in. I'm in. >> That's the one you would bench, though? Is Breeze Hall? >> No, I agree with you. >> No, I'm saying, if you had to take one out. >> H. Ann. >> And put H. Ann in. >> Oh, well, I am gonna bench H. Ann. But I actually think I would have benched Hampton. >> Yeah, I can't do the best of that group. >> Really? I'm not sure. I mean, bills, yeah, I don't know. It's see if Ed Oliver's gonna play, but the bill's run defense been pretty good, I think. And Hampton's not really that involved in the passing game. Could change, obviously. Tough calls. I'd say I wouldn't be benching Chuba Hubbard. All right, here's your news and notes. Nico Collins mispractices, unlikely to play. Pukenakua, unlikely to play, or almost certainly not going to play, but probably going to be back next week for Pukenakua. Brock Bauer's is questionable. It seems like he's gonna play, right? >> So Kubiak said that the mispractice today was planned, but not ideal, obviously, that he's coming back from an injury where he's yet to play yet and missing the final practice before. So it sounds like probably a game time decision. Full practice for Ed Oliver on Friday. >> Okay. Travis H. Ann, ETN will play. Aaron Jones is going to play DJ Moore and Keon Coleman or game time decisions, but Jamie just expressed some optimism for Moore. Jane Daniels this week to week, he's going to avoid IR. Jalen Koker expected to play. Xavier Liget will be a game time decision. Tony Pollard practiced in full. Taj A Spears is going to be questionable. Rico Dowdell doesn't seem likely to play this week against the Bengals. What's the difference between Chuba Hubbard and Jalen Warren in this week? Like, I know you're super excited about Chuba. If Rico Dowdell is out, what kind of excitement would you have for Warren? >> I do have excitement for Warren, but it's a tougher matchup in my opinion. I think the Cincinnati defense has really been fantastic through the first two weeks of season. Not that the Browns defense hasn't been bad, but I have more faith in the Panther's offense than I do in the Steelers offense. >> Okay. Nick Bozo is going to miss time with the calf injury for the Niners, Caleb Douglas out. >> Do you see what they said that they're not sure if they're going to put him on IR because they're running out of IR spots. >> Oh, yes. >> Caleb Douglas is out. This bell is likely to play at an I-Mitchell limited with the finger injury. Your emails, here's how you can get your questions read. First, you can join us on YouTube at youtube.com/fantasyfootball today. You can email us, [email protected]. If you have a fantasy cop's question, make sure you put fantasy cops in the subject line. We got to, I don't know, probably at least 15 this week alone. We've got Apple Podcasts, please leave a five-star review, do it early in the week, so it'll populate in time for me to read it on the show, and then even sometimes it's Apple Podcasts little wonky, sometimes they don't show up and sometimes they do, it's weird. But that'd be awesome if you could leave us a five-star review, tell people why you like the show and also ask your question. Please don't just leave the five stars and then the question, tell people why they should listen to the show, it will help us grow, and we're going to read some Spotify comments today as well. But here are your emails at [email protected], that is the letter I. It's from Miles, start two in full PPR. Abouka, Koker, Adonai Mitchell, Rashad Bateman, Abouka, Koker, Adonai Mitchell and Rashad Bateman. So Koker's the easy one, and then it would be Bateman if Flowers is out, Abouka, Flowers isn't from Matthew, start one in the Flex for week three, Luther Burton, Terence Ferguson, and Don Tavian Wicks, start one. Just between Ferguson and Wicks for me, I really like what I saw from Ferguson in that game. Now Jordan Winnington is going to play, so just keep an eye on that because he was out last week, and that's kind of been their Puka replacement, not necessarily from a one-to-one production standpoint, but from just running some of those routes. I still just think that Ferguson with Matthew Stafford is a little bit safer. The only caveat would be is if DeVante Smith is rolled out, but you won't know that by the time you have to start, presumably you won't know that by the time you start. Wicks. This is from someone named Brock, appropriately named here for this question. He's got Brock Purdy and Lamar Jackson, but he's also starting Christian McCaffrey, George Kiddell, and Mike Evans, assuming Evans plays. Would you play it safe and go with Lamar Jackson there? No, I would take the guy playing the Cardinals. What about the guy playing the Cowboys? Man, I have his number one receiver, though. So if Flowers is in, you can go that route. They're both 4 o'clock games, so you know, that's QB2 and QB3 for me. I just think Purdy is so locked in right now and the Cardinals are not very good. From Chris, I need a wide receiver of Flex and a running back in PPR. Travis E. Woody marks Kenneth Gainwell, Zae Flowers, Ameca Buka, Jordan Addison, Wondale Robinson, and Dalton Schultz. Does Nanyah tie that? No. Let's get a running back. Travis H and Woody marks Kenneth Gainwell. No, Travis H and let's get a wide receiver. Flowers, A Buka, Addison, Wondale. Flowers, if he's in, A Buka, if he's not. Let's get a Flex. Schultz. Yeah. Dear Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hugo. Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hugo, I don't know. I didn't know either. It's lost. You ever watched Lost? No. Yeah, me either. But when I hear Jack and Kate, I think of Titanic, but that's like, but no, because it's Jack from Titanic, but it's Kate Winslet, so it doesn't really work. That's Rose. I got a new, he loves this, where he's very proud of himself. How much, you, you, you obviously love your wife to death, right? Would you have moved her over on the board just to share? Yeah. Of course. Are you kidding? If she did something that selfish, I would have thrown her straight off the board and taken it for myself. Wow. It's really wrong. There's enough room for both of them. Sam, Sam, Mark the tape, 13, 28, sent it out, Adam's wife edited out, Sam edited out. It's really wrong what he does there, I mean, what she does to him. So she, yeah, she murdered him. That's true. Yeah. She, like, you play in the iceberg, all you want, Rose murdered him. I mean, it's probably technically suicide. He decided to stay in the water. I think he just didn't want to impose, but she definitely should, she definitely should just moved over selfish jerk. All right, the question from Ty, it's about a rule he passed. I got a new rule passed in one of my leagues and they despise change. Change makes the league angrier than an old man returning soup at a deli. Okay. I call it the shadow rule. Once per season, but not during the playoffs, each manager can substitute a player from their bench into the starting lineup once all the games are over and secure a win. No one knows it's going to happen until the league manager announces it. One manager, Smitty, used it in week one to sub in Christian Watson for Jamar Chase and he got the win and now Smitty has the target on his back and wow, was Ivan ticked off. Some managers might save the shadow for late in the season when they view wins as more important or they have a critical matchup. Some might use it to play defense thinking their opponent might use their shadow player. Others will use it the first time they can because a win is a win. Once a manager uses their shadow player, everyone knows that they do not have that option available anymore and everyone else can use it any time. No other roster moves can be made, just a player from the bench into a qualifying spot. When will managers use their special move? Only the shadow knows. I think it's exciting and I just wanted to share hopefully I did not steal the idea from my best friend who has been doing this for 20 years. What do you think of the shadow? I kind of like it, you know, I mean, it gives you a little bit more strategy to, you know, deal with it's interesting to use it early in the season. Yeah, I don't mind it. Look at this freaking guy. Masters had on today, baby. Welcome to the party pal. Welcome to the party. Welcome to the party is right. Let me start by saying to you guys and the list, the context is for me. So, and this is one of the year it's about to be normal fix your computer. I'm taking them out. What Dan was trying to say was let me just, if for the lip, then I just wanted to try what was wrong with it. You're all choppy. You're all choppy. Is it good? I don't know. Is it good now or not? No. Is it. He's second. I suppose. All right. We're going to take a break. We're going to take a commercial break and come back and, Dan, restart your stupid computer. So before Dan goes into his rant, some, some injury updates, the Monday Smith practicing today. Well, Andrew Thomas says he has no doubt that he'll play. Yeah. Travis H and practice in full. Yes. What is that? Yeah. And Joe Brady says that he'll give DJ Moore, Keon Coleman and Ed Oliver up until game time to make the decision. Yeah. I was up there. What's up? What's up? What's up? How you feeling, man? Congrats. I feel great. Sam's got some, some stuff to show on the screen. I'm a little sad that the round took four and a half hours. We were behind some old guys and we had to wait every hole, but we played a little wolf today. And I dropped the 80 ball on the scorecard. So here's the picture we take after everyone. There's the scorecard, 4139 for the win. And then what we do in our group chat is we take a picture with the winnings at the end and send it to the group. That's great. I'm happy for you, man. It seems like you have a really good, good group. A lot of fun. Last round of the day, I think. Last round of the year, I should say. Yeah, man. I'm getting nasty. I mean, I'm not going to move to Florida. How would anybody move to Florida? How would anybody live in that horrible state with terrible food and the horrible weather and a golf all year round? Oh, that part is nice. Yeah. Thomas is probably playing right now. Right now. I wish I was playing with Thomas. We never got to play this year. Today is Dan's off day. He always does the the mailbag on his off day. So we waited a little. What are off days? For him. Yeah, you don't have any. So I do never want to say to you, Jamie or you or you Adam. But listen, our schedules are a little different. That's all right. I'm not as high up as you, Jamie. Well, here's, while you are on the golf course, here's Jordan's email from Rochester in New York. He says, Jamie mentioned on the, let's see, when Thursday show, I don't know, show this week, to highly consider or just flat out cut Justin Herbert. If he underperforms again against the bills in week three, as someone who had Trevor Lawrence for the first four weeks of the 2025 season and cut him due to underperformance. [BLANK_AUDIO] and saw Lawrence perform like a top-tier quarterback from week five or so to the end of the season, seemingly in response to finally picking up Liam Cohen's system, should those with Justin Herbert exercise a similar level of patience this year? - Absolutely, it wasn't. It's not a blanket statement to just drop Herbert if he has a bad gaming against Buffalo. It's, there's, we get into situations, we're heading into one more week after this, so week five is when by week start, that with the injuries, and if they're not on IR and you can't stash non-IR players on IR spots, like you got a lot of tough decisions to make. And so, can you afford to carry two quarterbacks if Justin Herbert's not gonna play for you and depending on how many players you have on your bench? Like I have one league where it's a five-man bench. I can't, most of the teams is lead, don't carry two quarterbacks. It's just not something that's feasible for a lot of managers. Now clearly, there's still upside for Herbert, you know, is the offensive line gonna get fixed? I don't know, you know, Joe Alders played terrible so far based on what his normal reputation and production has been, so maybe he gets better. The interior, you know, maybe they have some different ideas of what to do or, you know, how they change some things, but the guy who they thought was gonna be their center is gone. Their blocking tight end is now hurt. Their system is struggling. Their end to the point about Trevor Lawrence, they're struggling to pick up my McDaniel system. So, could things turn around? Sure, I mean, there's plenty of talent there, but, you know, if you pivot to Tyler Schuck, for example, this week and you're still gonna play Herbert or even just hold on to Herbert, yeah, you might be fine. You might just say, okay, I got my quarterback, I don't need to worry about Justin Herbert rest of season. So it's all, you know, when we say things like that, I know it sounds absolute, like you should cut Justin Herbert. No, you should not just flat out cut Justin Herbert. You should not flat out cut Kyle Pitt. You should not flat out cut Colston Lovelin. When players are playing poorly that you had investments in if you can afford to carry them through their struggles, you do so. If you can't, then you have to make tough calls. And that's just the nature of the game we play. And let's draw on the comparison to the Jags of last year. Just like Jamie said, is the system that he, I guess they're, I'm not gonna say Herbert there and Herbert is struggling to pick up. But the same thing happened Lawrence last year. And then they found it in that final stretch run and obviously they've found it since. And that could easily just happen with Herbert as well, but it will require him to run a little bit more, which I expect him to do more after last season. And he hasn't really done a lot of this year's spite being fully healthy. And that's Lawrence really, his blow up was via the rushing. - And the other thing to consider just with Herbert and the chargers is we look at schedules, right? This is why I say this every preseason is you can look at this schedule and say this looks like this and this looks like that. We thought lay ups against the Cardinals and the Raiders. - Right. - Right? And the Raiders may not be a lay up. The Cardinals played much better. Week one's always tough, but they spend so much time preparing for that one game. So the Raiders may not just be a lay up. And I'm not taking anything away from the chargers being bad, the chargers being bad. But it just may not be the lay up that we thought. Conversely, as we're looking at the schedule moving forward, they have a brutal stretch of games coming up. He may play much better, they may play much better in those tougher quote unquote tougher games because of injuries and different things happening. - The last thing was that two of us hung up by Loa himself that first year with Mike McDaniel. I mentioned this on Beyond the Box score on Monday. The first like 10 games or something, they were really bad. And then they then they have three straight games with more than 30 points or more than 29 points. They picked it up in the second half of the year. But, you know, if you have to drop it because you need the roster spot, you know, it can't be patient forever. All right, next email here at [email protected] is from Crosby. Choose a running back in a flex. Blake Corum, Emmett Johnson, Luther Burton, Emanuel Wilson. This is PPR. Does it give anything on that? - No idea. - So let me say an M.J. - It's right. - It is Corum, Emmett Johnson, Burton and Emanuel Wilson. My answer will be Emmett Johnson and Luther Burton. I'm also an Emmett. I'm also an Emmett Johnson and Luther Burton. And I think Emmett will be the highest score of those guys. I think he's in for a really good spot here against Miami. This is from Josh says, "Dear Jim, Ian, Kevin, Andrew, and Chris." - Jim, and Kevin, Andrew, and Chris. - Oh, is this office characters? Jim and Kevin, there's no Ian or Chris. - Or Andrew? - Well, Andy Bernardo. - Not really an office guy anyway. Parks is a much better show. - Yeah, I know. It's a little flagship line. - It's true. - It's just true. It's just true. - You're going straight to Yale. - Ten team PPR. I have fan and likely. I've been offered Chuba Hubbard and Travis Kelsey for Omari and Hampton. - No. - Chuba Hubbard and Travis Kelsey for Omari and Hampton. - I don't like that deal at all. - I don't think you need the titan, so yeah. - Yeah. - I mean, Chuba is legit to be honest. Like, he's borderline. Where do you have him rank this week, Jamie? - He moved down to 12 when Barclay was active, so he's top dog. - Okay, so he's still in the RB1 conversation. Probably will be weekly, if the panther, I guess it depends on if the panthers can keep up this pace. - Yeah, I don't think he's necessarily that much worse than Hampton, if Walt Brooks is out. And Brooks, even when Brooks come back, it's like he's gonna have a huge role, I don't think. - Brooks is not back for potentially six weeks. - Yeah, but the other thing is like, you just don't need the third tight end, but there's another deal you can make here. Let's move on. This is from Mervin. Pick two, DK Metcalf, Godwin, DJ Moore, Michael Wilson, and Tank Bigsby, not gonna be him. I need a wide receiver and a flex. Metcalf, Godwin, DJ Moore, Michael Wilson. - I'd go more in full plays. - Yeah, I'd go more in Godwin. - Okay, Moore and Wilson, and if Moore doesn't play, I'd probably go Metcalf. - I didn't mind what I saw from Godwin watching the Browns tape. - Okay, yeah, I feel that way too. I just, I mind what I see from Baker, and they're playing the problem. - But one thing he can do is throw short, which is good for Godwin. - He's not doing the deep passes that are killing him, but yeah, he's taking a lot of deep shots. - Right, what the hell? - I don't know why he's taking so many deep shots. It's crazy. - All right, this is from sorry, I'm not prepared. It's from Eric. - From the middle of nowhere meets the Booneys. Am I crazy to start? It just says Ferguson. - Texas. - Yeah. - Well, it could be Jake. - Over Coulson, Loveland. - I would start both of Loveland's. - Terrence, yeah, I think you have to start both. It's Case Kingdom, guys. - From Hayden Palacios. Sam Laporta, Brock Bowers, Jameson Williams. I think we need two here. - Laporta Bowers, Jameson. - I'm sitting Jameson. - I think I was gonna say the same thing, but then we're starting two tight ends. I feel like you have to, at this point, go Laporta over Jameson, and I'm not benching Brock. So yeah. - Just keep an eye on Bowers status. - Yeah, that's the thing, like I don't want it, I don't want to be fooled. You think about kiddle snap share, you think about craft snap share. Now, they were coming off like major season ending injuries. But in week one, they didn't play that much. I don't want to be fooled. And this happens, this happens sometimes. So a guy comes back from an injury, even though it's just a two week absence. He plays 50% of the snaps or something like that. So I'm a little wary with Bowers, honestly. - I'm gonna guess you'll know it's never about I did it to play two lines. They can easily be dominant in their playing at home. They can play in the jets. So wouldn't surprise me if they both go crazy. I just think Brock Bowers, if they're going to play him, they're gonna play him. And so, I don't know, I would trust him. - I haven't loved it. - You're not wrong, Adam. - Yeah, by the way, I haven't felt like. - Yeah, go ahead, go ahead. - So I'm gonna say, I don't think the jets are the matchup we thought they were gonna be preseason of all this defense is playing pretty well. - Yeah. - And for the Lions, you know, I was excited 'cause they're gonna get Mahogany and Miller back a guard and a tackle, but Ben Barch, their left guard is probably going to miss this game. So it's like, you do take two steps forward. You can take one step back though as well. From Nicholas, I traded O'Marion Hampton, Mike Evans and Devon Vale. Hampton, Evans and Vale for James Cook and Jameson Williams. - B plus. - Yeah, I'd say borderline A, just 'cause you're getting by far the best player in the deal at this point. When James Cook. - I like it. - How are we doing, Dan? - Other than the golf game. - Feeling good? - I think all game was great, but I'm kind of sad, but I missed the first half of the show. I really did not expect that to happen. It's a place where it averages four to three and a half and we just had old guys out of us devastating. We're literally waiting 10 minutes on every box. It was crazy. - I don't know what a box is, but I guess that's the whole. - Yeah, I figured when I sent all that golfing to go throughout the day, you guys are gonna be like, just shut up, just get here when you get here. And you know what, to be honest, I kind of needed this after what happened on Monday and Tuesday. I've been in just like a devastating depression since that. Like not even kidding, I don't know. I compared it to the only thing that's close for me is when plaque shot himself in 2008 when they were the one seed. That's the only thing that comes close to me. And this to me actually somehow feels worse because he looks so good in week one and now we waste the whole year of development. It just, yeah, it's. - Get a better draft pick, it'll be good. - So tired of getting here. - We've had better draft picks for 10 years, Jamie. - Yeah, who cares? - That's not this point. - We're past that rooting for draft pick crap. I mean, I'll be there again week 17, I'm sure, but. - But now you don't have a choice. - What do you mean, I don't have a, yeah, who wants a no choice in week two, dude? - I know, that's the thing. - No, no, no, I understand that, but you do suffer the injury. So now you gotta deal with the injury and make the best. - Who gets a starting? What other starting quarterback is injured in week two that actually matters like Rogers with the Jets, but like I can't think of any others week two. Well Brady, in 2000, what six they won eleven, they won eleven castle, no, they missed it going eleven to the castle. So that could be us dead, that could be us, eleven and six, eleven and six with James, it's just it really sucks. I'm sure there are a lot of people listening that are a fan of some crappy franchise. Yeah. By week three, you know, it's over, you know, like, and their giant schedule is so easy that maybe they can hang around for a bit. I think the Titans are going to win this week. And who knows it's over, it's over. Yeah, the dolphins know it's over. The Browns know it's over. No, Browns are one and one. They are over there. They like, they know Browns are in it. It's sure, sure. They're optimistic. They're one and one. They feel good, but they know realistically that it's over. Who else? The commanders, they're just, they suck. They know they have the same things as a giant, they got the J, but at least they didn't look good. The giants look good in week one. That's what makes it worse. If they didn't look good, that's a whole nother story. They look a different. I think you would agree, Adam. I also wouldn't care as much if it wasn't for having a podcast about the team. That's what makes it such a drag. Ratings are definitely going down. Oh, they're, they're tanked, have already. And this is the first week off, you're hit. Let's miss a bit. Here we go. This one is from Jolly Old England, from Andy from across the pond. He says, "Dear John, George, Paul, and Ringo." Oh, here we go, the Beatles, the most overrated band of all time. Coming in hot. I've said that take before though. I mean, look, they're in the, they should be in like the 15 to 20 range, and their view is like one, two, or three. That's about where I'm at with it. Yeah, all right. They are obviously the best. I will talk to you after this. Let's talk about Ringo, because I know you have a take on Ringo. Let's talk about Ringo. All right. So, riding from Jolly Old England, where the mood is anything but Jolly and our league, we need some justice from state side. I had a rare tie in my week two match-up. But when looking closer, I noticed that I have Travis ETN, Jan, on my team, and I had not been awarded the two points for his two-point conversion against Baltimore. On further inspection, I realized that when we moved our league from one website to another, the default scoring settings of our league had not been fully transferred, and we were no longer awarding points for a two-point conversion. And we had also lost fractional scoring, which we have always done. I raised this with my league and suggested that we make the changes back to our intended scoring going forward, and leave weeks one and two unadjusted. Now, remember, he tied, and he had Travis ETN, and he didn't get points for the two-pointer, and he still said, let's leave it as is. Instead, the league made the changes retroactively without a formal vote. And my tie actually went to a loss by 0.04 points. I guess that's decimal scoring, maybe the other guy had a two-pointer, I don't know. Would love to know your thoughts. I feel conflicted. I'm the one that found the scoring format error, and it feels like I'm being punished for speaking up, and it doesn't sit well, that it's been applied retroactively, regardless of whether I am the one who benefits or who, in this case, it has cost. In my view, once a result is locked, it should be sacrosanct, unless it is a clear mathematical error, not a scoring format change. All right. What do you guys think? I think you got to take the L here. I'm sorry. It's just if the intention was to keep the scoring the same, and even though you're the one that pointed it out, and I'm not going to question the integrity of the email here, but maybe knew you was going to lose, which is why he suggested we do it from week two on, as opposed to doing it retroactively, even though he thought he had the two-pointer version locked up, and that was the difference. But I think just knowing that if there was no "Hey, we're changing because we changed platform," and it was just a commissioner error of not clicking a button or changing something that would have kept the scoring the same, you have to do it retroactively and just keep the scores what they are. And he's just the scores to what they should have been. Yeah. And these types of leagues with friends, I think, in tension is the lay of the law for me, at least. That's the point. Like, we're not trying to technical out technical someone here. This goes back to my he's dynasty league point, but I feel like you got to go with what the intention was. And the intention was obviously to carry over the rule, right? Yeah. It's tough luck. Sorry. Lost the pot. Oh, Ringo. You think Ringo is like a bad drummer, basically. So no. Let me clarify this. This Ringo take, because it ends up being bad, a friend of mine who's a great drummer once told me, and I just piggyback copied his take, that Ringo is one of the more overrated drummers. Then I piggybacked copy the take. Then I told the take on this podcast about a year or two ago and just got blasted by the comments for it, right? Fleece. I mean, I was getting crushed by the comments and I deserve it for the most part, but I then think you explained it to me off pod that he's a great drummer or something. And the reality is, I don't know technically who's a good drummer, who's not. From a technical standpoint, as far as like what sounds cool, it doesn't sound all that cool. What Ringo's doing to me. But then again, like I don't think the Beatles, part of my take on why the Beatles are in my mind a little bit overrated is, I think if you're going to be a top one viewed as a top one rock band of all time, you need to have a really good guitar. And like the almond brothers, first the Beatles, the grateful dead, Jerry Garcia, first the Beatles. Like these are not the same caliber anywhere remotely close from a guitar standpoint. So. I don't agree there, but it's just a different style of music. But I was listening to the Beatles channel on XM or Sirius, whatever you want to call it. And they were talking about Ringo. They had some guests there on and I don't know who it was, who's obviously a drummer. And he was talking about how incredible of a drummer Ringo is. And then he was even quoting Phil Collins, who was a drummer. And I guess Phil Collins said something about the drums on the song a day in the life. And how like he said, I think the quote was like, they're unfair. That's how good Ringo is drumming that song. And so then they played the song. And I'm listening to it. And I'm like, what? That's some people like me and Dan who don't know anything about the drums. It's super boring. I agree with you, Dan. Like I want a drummer who's like doing cool stuff and Ringo never does that. He never wants to. So I do think he's an amazing drummer, because based on whatever other like drummer says, like real drummer's not Dan's friend. But he's boring to listen to. He doesn't do anything. He doesn't do any fills. I'm sure he does some cool stuff technically. And he's a lefty, which I guess gives him a different sound. But yeah, I'm like, no, this isn't anything that I care to listen to. With that said, in the comments, Stu says, or Stu says Neil Pert is the goat. That's all I know. That's who I thought was the best drummer too. And he sounds that way to me. But I will say this. One of my favorite bands now is Krungben. And I think I've heard their drummer's amazing. And if you listen to him, you'd be like, that's an amazing drummer. And from what people have told me, you know drums, they say he's just always quote unquote in the pocket. Whatever that means. Thought it was football terminology. Apparently it's drumming. We got to watch some tape. No, obviously the best drummer is Chad Smith, dude, like come on, Chili Peppers does a fantasy football guy came on our show. He's amazing. Oh, yes. He's the best. All right. We'll take a break. We got more fantasy cops on the other side. Plus Spotify comments, Apple podcasts and more of your YouTube comments. We'll be right back. We're back with Kurt's question for the fantasy cops. I was scouring the waiver wire and I saw that Tucker Kraft was on the waiver wire and I was thrilled, but I had work to do. So I figured I'd make a claim later in the day. About an hour later, I went back to the wire and saw that Tucker Kraft was inexplicably gone. Went to recent activity and saw it was the commissioner who had dropped Kraft and then used his commissioner power to put Kraft back on his team prior to waivers. I called the commissioner out on our group thread and he said it was a drop in error and he meant to drop Michael Mayer. I told him there is no moron exception that allows you to reclaim a player. This is the first time this has happened in our decade plus league. What is the norm in the fantasy world? Is there a moron reclaim exception in waivers? So I always think about this if, if let's say I'm the commissioner and Adam has made this mistake and it asks me, oh crap, I dropped the wrong guy, I hit the wrong button, I was driving and I hit the wrong, you know, my kid at the phone, whatever the case may be. Would I trust that he's doing making an honest assessment if it was in momentarily within a few minutes of the ad drop or close enough that I'm not going to question that he rethought something or read something or something changed? Yeah, I'm going to obviously do that. And if I'm doing that myself as the commissioner, I'm probably going to just say, hey guys and make it available to make it open to the league. Like, hey, I hit the wrong button or whatever, just so people know that I'm not trying to do something dishonest. Yes, communication. I think that's all we need to say about that one. Communicate, let everyone know immediately or as soon as you figure it out, don't do anything sneaky. But yes, there is a moron reclaim exception in waivers. Next one is from the commissioner. The commissioner writes a weekly recap from scratch each week, loved by many in the league. However, the league had become stale during the long preseason and anti-climactic first couple of weeks. The commissioner decided at the bottom of the recap this week to give a bonus fantasy point to the first three people who respond to him saying that they read it. One point was added for each of the teams, including the team facing the commissioner. However, one leaguemate, the loud obnoxious one, is boycotting, saying this is stupid and it's collusion. What would you do? Let the point stand, reverse it back or something else, mediate reversal. This is horrific as somebody who is the the commissioner of a home league and writes a 6,000 to 8,000 word power rankings recap of the draft every year. It used to do by weekly. It got too much with work. You want people to respond, you want people to read it, but you cannot affect the outcome of the league based on you, like, what is this? Confirmation for, oh, you did a good job, a pat on the back, like, it's going to so easily be colluded. First of all, hey, there's no proof anybody read it. They just responded to it first. Well, they did. Well, we don't know, like, what he said, hey, if you respond to this with whatever you get a point, what I would do is, if you want to do something like that, I give one extra fat point, dollar, whatever. Yeah. You can't affect the league. I'm kind of with you, Dan. I think it's a funny idea, but I think it's a no. I want more fantasy cops. This is from Charles. We have a Josh Jacobs issue in our ESPN league. When we drafted Jacobs, he was not on the commissioner exemplest yet. Once he was the ESPN platform, designated him, allowed him to put in an IR spot. Sorry. They didn't label him like day to day or out on it. I don't know what they did, but they allowed Josh Jacobs to be put in an IR spot. He has, the manager has still been able to make way removes all the normal things, even though he has an ineligible player in his IR. I spoke up this morning and I said enough is enough. He got two weeks of living in the gray area, and the commissioner needs to make him take Jacobs out of the IR spot. He claims he isn't trying to cheat, but the platform has let him operate as normal with Jacobs in the IR, and since he isn't suspended, the manager is saying he should be able to stay in the gray area. Our commissioner doesn't like to make executive decisions to put it up for a vote. I'll be commissioner next year. We have rotating leadership. If you were the commissioner, how would you rule? I mean, he's not eligible for IR. He's not. I only know the leagues I play in, and you are allowed to determine who gets IR spots or not by whatever button you click of how that's determined. So, for example, on CBS, there's a roster restriction of they have to be either IR pop to be placed in IR spots. Yes, so I don't know what other platforms do completely, but I know on sleepers, I believe the same thing. You got to be on IR to be put on IR. But obviously this platform allowed him to put Jacobs in IR. But that's a commissioner thing, though, so that shouldn't be a platform thing. Well, yeah, I can't believe you would allow that. This is a tough one here. Do people know going into the draft? No, he wasn't on the commissioner exempts list. I think if you're allowing Jacobs to be placed in an IR spot, you have to allow all non-IR players that are injured or have some designation to be placed in IR. Because if you're going to make an exception for one, that's not IR. You have to make it for everybody to some degree. So what's the remedy here? Take them off? I would. My remedy would be, as the commissioner say, he's not IR. He's not on pop. He has to be on your bench. Yeah. Agreed. The body of the chat is just hates my hoodie, and they color it. I'm usually they'll light me up more. Don't worry. I'll take one. I think it's super colored hoodie, please. As if you would ever. You just split P-Soup. Yeah, that's true. Yeah, this isn't the best looking hoodie. I got it for like $5. It was on some of those. I love those. Clear and sale. It's really different. Who are we trying to impress? Yeah. Yeah, I've got a clogged duct on my left eyelid. Sure. It's not pink, I. Yeah. It has not been ruled out. It looks fine. It's my eyelid. And I'm on antibiotics, so I'm hoping in the next few days, this will go away. When it rains, it pours for Giants fans. Thank you for the compliments on the sweatshirt on the hoodie. We got really hated it. No, it wasn't an Amazon clear with sale, but all right, that's it for the fantasy cops. Thank you very much. We'll read some Apple podcasts, questions, we'll read some Spotify comments. Let's go to our Spotify comments. Beckett wants to know if he should trade Quinchon Judkins or Chase Brown and if so for who? Quinchon Judkins or Chase Brown? Yeah. I would hold Chase Brown. Yeah. I think Judkins actually is going to have a decent game this week. So the Panthers' run defense was abysmal in week one and I know they did a good job fantasy wise on Beeson last week, but the combination of both Robinson's ran for 125 yards. So no Devon Lloyd, he's out. I think this is an opportunity if Judkins keeps his role in the passing game at five catches last week, first game without Dylan Samson, would not be shocked if he gets you in the RB2 range. If that happens, try and trade him immediately, and this is the type of player that you can sell, depending on a wide variety of situations, package him for maybe AJ Brown or Niko Collins or one of these injured wide receivers, try and get somebody who's struggling that you think still has plenty of upside at whatever position. So if you don't need Judkins moving forward, try and see if you can get something good for him in return, because there's probably not going to be a lot of favorable game scripts for them moving forward and probably not have great scenarios for him as well. So I wouldn't agree with Dan, hold Chase Brown as long as you can. I've also kind of moved up Judkins' rest of the season a lot after watching the Browns tape against the box. I was shocked and surprised at how they moved the football on them, remembering just how good Todd Monkin is a design offense. All right. So then let me ask you this. My personal opinion is that I haven't seen the explosion from Quinch on Judkins that I saw last year. And I know the Yards per Carrier really bad last year, but he was one of my favorite running backs on tape. He did a lot. So much of it that he just couldn't control because he was being met in the backfield on every play, and I thought he was primed to have a great second season, but I'm not quite seeing the same player there, but I don't feel super confident in the take. It's not enough. You know, there's really been enough for me to make that tape, but I just, I didn't love what I saw. What did you think? I think that's a really strong tape last year. We went back Jacob and I we thought he was actually the best rookie on tape, but this year that explosion has not been there yet. He has not maximized what he said. The Browns have tried at times to lean into him early down, run first down, run second down. They've had to go away from it, which shows me he's not quite back. It's just like the Auckland plays in that offense. I saw him get some snaps in that game when I was watching the tape, which was shocking to me. They, it's not like, but then again, like if they're going to score more points, he's going to score. So I part of why I was so out on him is that thought it's offense would look a lot like it did week one, and I was pretty enthused by what Watson put on tape as crazy as that sounds. Yeah, it's funny. I feel like just off the top of my head, I feel like the Browns are never in the red zone or the green zone because like Boston's two touchdowns were long ones. I can't really remember. They almost had a third on that third and six that he put up the other 17 yard at the end, the 17 yard touchdown. That was from the red zone to win the game, but also the third and six that just show him put a great ball out there to Boston, and he just didn't get his feet in for that would have been another touchdown from the red zone. So look, it could be the Bucks defense is really bad, but it looked to me like Watson's accuracy was what that was the best I'd seen Watson looked in years. All right. There are two teams that have run only two plays from inside the 10 yard line. Cleveland is one of them. The other is in the AFC East Miami, well, the wasn't it Oh, Atlanta now just got it. Miami is runs. Yes. Miami is runs six plays from inside the 10. Is it the jets of the Patriots? Patriots. The Patriots. Oh my God. Y'all week one next spotify question. Sorry. From Jack. Try and trade digs and bill for George Pickens. Yeah. Yes. Lock it up. Let's do that quick. If it's done, if you have that offer out there, you do it quick before he takes it off table. It's easy. From Nick, I lost both Caleb Williams and Jackson Dart. Should I drop? Yeah. You can drop Dart. Yeah. Drop Dart for price. Yeah. Don't know why you read that. It's from three days ago. I'm sorry. I really need that. Does everybody need to hear that? Should I trade the from a postman? Trade Swift for Hampton straight up. Swift to get Hampton? Yeah. I think I would do it. I would. You would? You really wouldn't. I would. You would. So two yeses. You got two to four weeks. Is the projected timeline for Caleb? Is that right? Or that wasn't confirmed. I saw Rappaport. I think that's fair estimate. But you're also dealing with a time share in Chicago that's not going away where Hampton's still going to get the majority of carries by hopefully a big share. Yeah. It depends how much you buy into the charges offense because Swift was in a time share last year and Kyron was in a time share last year. And Swift was only like RB 18ish per game. Kyron. Yeah. And Swift. No, Kyron was a little better. He was like RB Fortley. Was it for Kyron or for Hampton? No, no. It's for Hampton. I was just saying you look at these guys who were in these great offenses with great offensive lines. Even though they were in a time share. They were really good. Swift right now though, like, I guess it is worth it. He's doing a lot better right now than he did in those last 11 games when he started splitting with with Menon Lai. I don't know if they there's a reason for that. Maybe there are offense is just better. Maybe it's just a fluke. But you know what? I probably guess I go Hampton, then. It's not for me. Hampton for me. All right. Last one from Fernando. Should I trade Hampton and Rishi Rice for Devon H&N and Josh Downs? Hampton and Rice for H&N Downs. I wouldn't. No. You would, Jamie. I would not. Okay. That's easy. No, for me. Yeah. All right. Let's go to our Apple Podcast questions. This one is from. What's the hope with H&N at this point? No. You're being a little too hard there. It's not like he's going to have the worst. season ever. What's the over under touchdowns for Devon HN rest of season? Right, that's the question. Six, seven, six, seven, six, seven. I take the under by a lot. No, that's what I'm saying. This offense looks really bad. He's gonna have a two or three touchdown game. And they're not blocking well, either for him, which is surprising, because they have the same guys from last year. They should just run the same scheme as last year without McDonald. They really try to slow it. So they're not trying. They should have expected this. I don't think they're trying to lose, Jamie. We have we have we have the running joke in in the green room where we watch games that whenever these bad teams get close to winning games, so like the Jets last week when Aaron Glenn completely effed up the end of regulation. That was crazy. That we get to lose the game. The call from upstairs. I mean, it's crazy to some extent, but we also were just, you know, we're only like five years removed from the dolphins getting caught doing this, right? So why they lost a draft pick because they got caught tanking sort of, yeah. By the way, that's why they always think they got. I always bring up the breeze hall season, right? The breeze hall 2023. He was a number two running back in fantasy. He was number five per game. He was on a team that scored like 13 points per game. They were 31st and scoring. He did not score his first touchdown until week five. I'm sure people were freaking out weeks, two, three and four. Breeze hall had nine rushing yards, 18 rushing yards, 56 rushing yards, almost no receiving yards. He had three hoys to field deer. Who is the quarterback that year? It wasn't feels. No, it wasn't feels it's probably darn old or Zach Wilson or something. It's probably Zach Wilson. Yeah. So 2023 2023. Was that the year of Flacco and Zach Wilson? I don't know. Zach Wilson in week one. I don't know whatever it was. Flacco could actually move the 30 first points per game. And they had a wide receiver on their team that had 140 targets. He still produced like, I don't know. Yeah. That's the case for him. I understand all the cases against him. Apple podcast question. This one from Chico Cat. I need to flex this week. Coker, Concade or Downs, half BPR? Concade. I go Concade also. Campage Concade at this point. This is from hindsight. Unbenchable player. Deer Eddie, Kurt, Scott and Brad. Ooh, I might get this one. Eddie, Kurt. I mean, Sean Murray, 90s Grunge. They're all frontman, right? Oh, who's Brad? Eddie Vetter. It's Eddie Vetter, Kurt Cobain. I'm guessing Scott Wyland. And I don't know who Brad is. Which one is Scott Wyland from? Stone, double pilots. Oh, you're your band. Yep. And then Moe's the last one. Brad. No. Three doors down. Three grad Arnold and three doors down, maybe they're considered Grunge. No. But I don't think Stone, Temple, Pilots. They're not. The 90s rock. All right. Okay. I need a derby too. I traded. Jardarian price. Colston, Lovelin and Baker Mayfield for Swift and Jordan Tyson. Price, Lovelin and Baker for Swift and Tyson. B-plus. Nice. And he has Brock Bauer's by the way coming Swift and Tyson. Yeah. Yeah. I think you're adding the best player in the deal by far. So it's always going to be at least B-plus for me. We got to grade the trade from Grant. He said, oh, yeah. Dan doesn't know this one. Dear Jake, Rick, Willie and Roger. I might know this. You don't. I might know that. Jake, Willie, Rick and Roger. Yeah. I've already won a dollar that you don't know. That's the Jetsons. What? What would you win the dollar on? I love all Ricky. I forget about the curve ball Ricky. It's a major league. Major league. Yeah. What you win the fastball for? I was going to get that because it's just the dollar when I win the fastball. When I win the dollar for Scarface, I knew you've seen Scarface and I knew you had that one. I knew you hadn't seen Major League. No, no. But then you didn't do another one. There's only those two from really in the week. Yeah. Those are only two we've done. Yeah. So it's Adam plus two for now. Yeah. I'm going to settle line for the year at how you plan to do this? How often you plan to do this? Whenever any time it comes up, I'm just going to say to Nancy that movie. But the here's the problem, though, is Adam always gets to decide and then I have to either I have to go against him. Oh, that's fine. I'm happy to switch off. You know, mix that up. Mix that up. Yeah, but you're you're too forgetful to ever say it. Well, I think we can agree. You don't have to disagree every time if you agree with me and then just agree with me. Yeah. I see you go by what you say. Go by what you think and if it doesn't work for each one, let's say we have another 20 of these. Of course, this is that too much. 12. How about five? You get five, 12. I'm going to guess knowing like Gamer Eric and Johnny Airport. They'll start saying, Hey, is Dan seeing this in the chart? We can do it right now in the chat. All right. Here's one in the chat there. Has Adam's eye on fantasy football. Very good. Yeah. This is a good one. Has Dan seen my cousin, Vinnie? I think Jamie guest first. I think I know the answer. I'm going to say yes. Yeah. She's seen it. Yeah. I've seen my cousin, Vinnie. Yeah. So that would count. So Jamie, just answer honestly from this point because otherwise if you're both answering honestly, I think the the overrunner is Adam minus. No, I just think it should come up organically if somebody wants to throw movies in the chat. And then if we disagree, we'll make a bet. Okay. I do think Adam knows me a little bit better, but well, you knew the reasoning behind why I knew you'd start face. Yeah. Well, that was a great reasoning. I don't believe a logic by you that I wish I was Italian. And so because of that, I've watched every single gangster movie that's a spot on. I have not missed a gangster. All right. Here we go. Has Dan seen Donnie Brasco? Yes. That's a good one. Yes. He has. No. Wow. I knew it. I freaking knew it. I freaking knew it. That's one I've missed. That's amazing. I've missed the pictures hilarious. We just saw it the other day. All right. Question from Grant is I have Corston, Loveland. It's a 12 team PPR Super Flex League. I'm 2 and 0. I traded Dac and Jordan Love for Bowers and Shuck. That's a lot. Wow. I still have Kyler Murray and Sam Darnold. Oh. No, I don't like this trade. Dac and Love for Bowers and Shuck. He has Loveland. I actually I love this trade in a Super Flex League. Well, you have quarterbacks to cover yourself and Shuck, quarterbacks to cover him and Brad Bowers could be now. Look at it this way. Look at it this way. Love and Shuck is maybe a wash rest of season. I think you can make a case that Shuck is better. And would you trade Dac for Bowers if you had the quarterbacks to cover yourself? I think most people say yes. No. The answer is yes. Yeah. I wouldn't. Okay. Super Flex League. But look, I'm just I want to see what Bowers looks like. I'm not comfortable trading for Bowers right now. That's fair to say because it could be another one of these broken Bowers years. Unfortunately. I don't see if I've any more questions here. But the health of that offense is better than we even could have expected. I think that part of it is interesting. And we saw last year Kyle pits eight with Kirk Cousins. So there is also the upside for that to be really good. Yeah. Most of that was without Drake London, but here's Quacket Hill though. He just sorry. Quick question. If Case Keenum starts Sunday, would you start Case Keenum or Jacobi Reset? Perset, especially with Bowers out. Yeah, it's got to be per se. You can't play Keenum against the Eagles. It's so I was a little probably down on the or sounded down on the Cardinals offense earlier today on Friday with the Bowers on news. I think you got to change your I changed my opinion on the Cardinals. So like I move Michael Wilson up, I moved to Jacobi Reset up. I think it's such a big loss. And they're probably chasing points on top of it. Perset was unreal last year. 47 of 57. Forget just the volume just to be that accurate. It's the Niners you're talking about. Huh. You're saying that's the Niners. Against Niners. It was no both. So they had no password. It's so different though. It's really just schematically so different. And I love the way they played. They're rallying to the ball. They've looked. Oh, listen, it's a different. I'm not expecting him to be or ugly, you know, you know, a top 12 quarterback, but comparing him to Keenum, it's easy. And just looking at the scenario now, we have we have one game where his volume has been up. And I think this is another game where their volume will be up. And typically when that's been the case for per se, it is number seven. Good. All right. As Dan seen the faculty. No. Yeah, no chance. He's never even heard of that. No chance. What is that? What is it even about? It's a horror movie from the like maybe you're right around 2000. I'm guessing I almost never do hard, but I did do obsession on my flight to Chicago for those the first horror movie I've seen like years. Never heard unbelievably good. Oh, really? That movie. No, I never heard of it. It's those like the most popular movie of the year. You didn't see that. No. It was like a low budget. Some kid made it and it made millions. And it was just phenomenally done in my opinion. Oh, cool. All right. Faculty's actually not bad. I mean, it's like a campy horror movie, but it's not bad. A question, last question from Apple Podcasts from Greek Chris. Oh, what are your thoughts on trading Brian Thomas Jr. for Quinch on Judkins? Yes. I would do that. I think you're you're going to find, I hate to say this, but similar production from a lot of receivers at this point from Brian Thomas. If Judkins hits, it's hard to find that type of production at that position. It's the same. The one weird note about that is through these two games, it has been super concentrated in the Jacksonville Jaguars passing game where it's been like Parker Washington has a neco a poker roll, like 40%, but Brian Thomas has been like 24% first read target share. Like he's been up there. They've been trying to get him the ball, but at the same time, he's also not being used in two in two receivers sets. So it's like it's a little good, a little bad. That's not enough. I think you got to try to take the chance on Judkins being a different friends maker. Earlier today, we asked why is Dan late, wrong answers only? Let's go through some of them. By the way, we got all officially rolled out. Okay. His pizza had extra mushrooms. You know, listen, now that I'm back in Jersey, the pizza is fine. I got out of that pizza time range, whatever the frick that place is called. That's a frick. Stop acting like you don't know what it's called. You say it and then you're like, whatever it's called. Discussing place. Dan was on the phone with the people from Sheets. He's developing new sandwiches for them. Yeah. I should, dude. I'd be good at that. Trust me. Dan is late. You know what my idea was? My friend knows a bangle shop. Do you think it's a good idea? No one's ever thought of this. You know what? Everything's the most popular bagel. No? Oh, everything bagel. Okay. A spicy everything. You make a spicy everything. Everybody's obsessed with spicy chicken sandwich, spicy this, spicy everything. You just add like cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, something like that. You mix and match. Spicy everything. Put it on the menu if you own a bagel shop. He wants to do it. But call the Schneider. He's going to do it. What do you say? Call the Schneider. Oh, I would love to have a sandwich named after me unless it was the Larry David. Have you guys seen that? No. I never saw that curb where the deli owner names the sandwich after Larry David. It has like capers, white fish, and then he tries to like pawn it off to Ted Danson. And he's like, yeah, do you mind just, you're not in the deli lock. And you just, we trade sandwiches and he's like, sure, of course I'll do that in Larry's. He's like, yeah, what's on yours? And Larry's like, well, there's a caper is like going through the ingredients and trying to like minimize it. So that's awesome. Dan is late because he's watching the Rocky franchise, definitely not. That I, at some point I got to watch this Rocky one. I have to find time to do it from watching Furious because you guys seem furious. It's so good. No. Yeah. You haven't seen the Jamie. I know. I mean, you're awesome. Furious the TV show. No. Phenomenal. Dan's roommate is cooking pasta, shirtless in the kitchen. Dan is late because he has to pick up his nose strips. I need nose strips. I haven't worn them in a while and they were helping me breathe so much. I really need to get back on that bandwagon. I can barely breathe. Oh, okay. Does Dan know the song barely breathing by Duncan Sheik? I don't even know what Duncan Sheik is. Duncan Sheik. Yeah. He's died. Did he? Thanks for. Oh, no. That's so sad. All right, Pete. Google that because I don't want to be mistaken. Yeah. Duncan Sheik was like that. That was one of the best one hit wonders of the time. Nico Collins rolled out. Oh, he did die two weeks from Nico already. DJ Moore spoke to reporters after practice. He said he was feeling good and all signs were good signs. I know if he's good to go Sunday. This is according to Double Scalio of the athletic. We still see you need to check a few more boxes and then we're good. Here we go. Let's read some questions from the chat to finish the show and here we go. We'll start with this one. Choose two Justin Herbert, James Winston, Daniel Jones to Sean Watson. I would go with Herbert and Watson. What was it? Winston knew as the other. Just look at the screen. Daniel Jones. There it is. No, you can't you can't play Winston in that weather. Jones. I'm not going to play either. Yeah. It's got to be the two. James said Herbert and Watson. Okay. From pocket chucks. I'm very deep at wide receiver. Dear George Jane, Judy and Elroy, there you go. Who are they? No idea. That is. Oh my gosh. Wow. You just said it. Elroy Jenkins. It was Elroy. Some get me off this crazy thing. These are the Jetsons. Oh yeah. That was just like a random show that I named. I've never seen the Jetsons. Oh, I have to give some parenting advice in a minute here, but I'm very deep at wide receiver. I need an RB. Advice? Yeah. I need an RB three. Would you trade T Higgins, Josh Downs or Luther Burton for Chuba Hubbard? One of them? Yeah. If I could trade Burton for a Hubbard, I'm doing it right now. You would trade Burton before you trade Head Downs? I trade Downs for Hubbard. I would trade Burton right now, because Downs might be awesome with Alec Pierceau. I think. Yeah. Fine. I trade either one for Hubbard. I think Burton has a better chance of winning a year playoffs than Downs says. Okay. I'd rather keep Burton. Jamie, ready for some parenting advice? Of course. You're a little too old. Maybe Dan's a little too young. But we're talking with one of our co-workers, Allison, shout out to Allison. Maybe her kids are about my age, my kids are eight and six. She recommended that I show them Paramount Plus promo here. I show them Legends of the Hidden Temple and Guts from. Love the kids. Wow. I was a kid. Yeah. And my kids love them. And I enjoy the hell out of watching them. So if you have kids. They're probably still fun to watch. They're great. They're really great. You do know I was younger. Greg. Yeah. But you didn't watch Legends of the Hidden Temple and Guts, did you? I'm not gonna mean. Yeah. Yeah. You should watch the Hidden Temple the same age. I'm not gonna do it on air right now. But in high school, I did what my friends termed as. So it's one of the few wins I have for my friend and group that usually knocks on me. The best guts impression ever of Michael Malley and then of Moe. I had a great mic. Let's go. Come on. I can't do it. We're never gonna ask you to do it again. For work. It's not safe to work at all. I have questions about Mike's, let's just call it soberness on that show. I have big questions about like on that show. Let's go to Moe. Moe. Yeah. All right. We have Tony and Purple in that place. Yep. All right. Which one's better now that you've watched them back. Legends. It's a more fun game, I think. But the Aggrocrack finish is as good as it gets. It's good as you guess it is. All right. With Terrence Ferguson, be worth starting over at an I Mitchell Xavier Hutchinson or Michael Pitman. Yes. Okay. Definitely Hutchinson. Definitely. Yeah. Yep. Great. The tray at half PPR. Stevenson. Rice and Godwin. Stevenson. Rice and Godwin for Flowers and Menonguy. See minus. I don't know like the Stevenson Henderson is going to be annoying all year. I think. So it's going to be hard to predict. Menonguy is not much better. I think I like the Flowers side better somehow. I'll tell you what. Yeah, me too. Oh, you said that. That's a C plus then for you. Yeah. You're getting for it. Okay. Okay. If for she rice gets back to himself, then it's a loss. I think if for she rises his. He's getting back to himself. I don't know. I'm not sure. Everything Jacob said is like, their role is completely different this year. That's the bigger problem. It's not good. The role. Drake May or Bryce Young. For this week. Yeah. Bryce. Start one. Spears. Gainwell. Versaude White. Oh. Yeah. It has to be Versaude White. Gainwell is barely used in that offense. Debo Samuel or Luther Burton. Debo. Harvey. Jamie so quick with these. I got to get him fast because I'm usually then it otherwise sounds like I'm just picking the same thing even. Easy. Just say. Yeah. I agree with Jamie Coleman. I got that. Debo in first with Coleman likely out RJ Harvey or Travis E. Chan. Each. Travis. Diggs or Pollard in the flex half PBR. Diggs. I kind of like Pollard this week with Spears banged up in the Giants run defense being what it is. Yes. Spears being applied. Titans offense is going to. What would you guess Tony Pollard's yards precarious right now? Just based on where you frame that 4.4. 3.6. Before you said that, I would have said 3.1. 4.7. Yeah. I knew that was a frame. You got to listen to the leading of the question Adams. Well. Yeah. I know. Who has more? Who has more? Should I drop Lublin for Johan Johnson? I have no. No. No. No. You're going to. Come on. Come on, people. All right. Last one here. Herbert Winston or Watson again. I don't know why the four point passing touchdown. Herbert. Yeah. Herbert. And then finally, the real last one. Malik Washington or Darnell Mooney. I weirdly think J-Looney's. I'm going Mooney here. I'm going Washington with the weather. Everyone's going Washington, but I'm going Mooney. They look good to get. J-Mist, because all pre-seed, all training can't be a game. And Mooney ran with J-Mist's second team. This is a terrible thing. I don't disagree with that. I think we saw it. We saw it with Mooney with members, Cedric Tillman, and Jerry Judy. Both guys went nuts and they would tell them it was actually playing great in those three games. I just would it for this week. I'd play Washington. The weather is probably going to ruin it. Yeah, exactly. And based on the weather. Fine. All right. Jamie has to pick the opposite of whatever Dan says for the rest of the show to see if Dan agrees. Well, unfortunately, the show is over next week. Next week. Yeah, next week. That's coming up next week. Dan, say something nice about Adam. Adam is, and I've said this to him before, no offense to some of the shows that maybe have done better. I think he's the best host of any fantasy football show by far that I've listened to. I don't listen to that many, but the ones I listened to, I think he does it better than anyone by far. I can't disagree with that. Just the way he hosts. That doesn't mean I always agree with this stuff. Other hosts have better eyes. Yeah, I thought you were going to say something. It doesn't mean he's the best looking host. Definitely not. And it certainly doesn't mean he's the best male host. That's a whole different category that he tried to once claim for himself. You can't claim anything for yourself, but you are really good at doing this. All right. I got to do radio. See you guys. Yeah, we got to go. Good morning, 11 a.m. Eastern. FAQs

You should not flat out cut Justin Herbert after a poor performance. Patience is key, especially with a young quarterback adjusting to a new system. If you have a deep roster and can afford to carry two quarterbacks, consider the team's schedule and potential for improvement. A single poor game doesn't define his long-term potential.

If Chuba Hubbard is injured, consider the team's offensive scheme and depth. He is a top-tier RB1 contender, especially with key injuries to other backs. If a backup like Hampton is injured, assess the team's running game and whether a true RB1 or RB2 is more viable based on matchups and offensive line strength.

Yes, trading a WR for a RB in PPR is often strategic. If your WR is injured or has limited targets, and the RB has strong game flow and matchup advantages, a trade can improve your scoring. For example, trading for players like Rashad Bateman or Godwin Ferguson can offer better upside in key matchups.

There is no official 'moron reclaim' exception in fantasy waivers. If a commissioner mistakenly drops a player, they should immediately communicate the error and clarify the action. Reclaiming a player without proper communication undermines league integrity and fairness.

It's safer to start a quarterback with proven performance, like Justin Herbert, especially against strong defenses. While Lamar Jackson is talented, matchups matter. If the opposing defense is strong, prioritize a quarterback with better fit and consistency in similar games.

If a player like Travis H. or DJ Moore is questionable, go with the most reliable backup or a proven performer. For example, if Moore practices in a non-contact jersey, it may be a game-time decision. Monitor injury updates and consider starting a safer, more consistent player if the status remains unclear.
