I hope you all remember what happened last time, Jacksonville went to Denver. The cults are at the chief screen bays at the Jets, Raiders at Chargers, Philadelphia at Tennessee could be one of those old Start-A-Mall, Cid-A-Mall games. I'm Adam Azer. Hello. He's coming. Good morning. >> Good morning, Adam Azer. >> Jamie, would you like to hear a great stat about the Jacksonville Jaguars? Not after you just disrespected the Titans, but you're? >> They have won, this is from CBS Sports, our research team. The Jaguars have won nine consecutive regular season games over that span. They have scored the most points per game in the NFL and allowed the fewest points per game in the NFL. >> They look great right now, it's funny because I think there's some sentiment that they're a silver wall team, which will have to be proven, but it's a pretty good stretch. I think the AFC just looks so loaded right now at the top with the chiefs being back and the Bengals defense looking good and Baltimore looking good and now you got Jacksonville on the mix, it's going to be fun. >> They are underdogs on the road at Denver, two and a half point underdogs, interesting. Real quick, he's got the game tonight, Bill's Lions or fired up for it here, but the Lions are going to be without two starting offensive linemen, guard, Christian Mahogany, tackle, Blake Miller, any concerns, any downgrades? >> I haven't downgraded anybody. I think the Lions, well, that's not true, Lions' point total went down just a little bit. They're now, I think they were four point underdogs to start the week. They're now five and a half point underdogs. That was a small downgrade, Jared Goff is tied for me at QB12 with Joe Burrow, and you'd love to say, you know, it's easy to just say Joe Burrow, but he also apparently isn't healthy. So I think Goff's in that range where it's justifiable to start him, the game could still be issued out, but if you get a little bit nervous and you want to say them, there's options. Although there's not options on the waiver wire, you better have drafted two quarterbacks. >> And Mahogany barely played last week for what it's worth. They struggle a little bit offensively, but he played it, I think 11 snaps. And I've got a real quick, I know this is a starter sit-up episode, but I really, I think I finally figured out the best way to do the fantasy playoffs, and I'd love to get a quick opinion. >> Oh my gosh. >> Real quick. Not controversial. >> The answer's no. >> 12 team league, six teams make the playoffs. Top two teams get a buy, right? Standard stuff. You got four teams left for the last two weeks of the season. Instead of matchups, they all four teams play two weeks and the highest scoring team wins. >> So the two teams that have the best record don't play the second week? >> They don't play the first week. >> So you said all four teams play two weeks? >> Yeah, yeah. Week 15, those two teams have a buy and teams three through six play, you know, head to head matchups, whatever. >> Okay. >> Then you've got a final four, instead of having semi-finals where the one plays the four or whatever. >> All four teams play for two weeks and the two highest scoring team in week 16 and 17 combined. >> So you want to play a head to head league for 14 weeks and then best ball on the playoffs? Why not just have a best ball league? >> It's not best ball. You still have to set a lineup. You're not just, it's not like if you make the wrong lineup decision, you're fine. >> Okay, so how many head to head, then points? >> Yeah, then point. This eliminates the randomness is, oh, I had this one bad week. You got to go out. >> Okay, how many leagues do you commission? >> Fourish? >> Okay. You should try it in one of them and then when everybody quits the next year, you'll get your wish. You don't have as many leagues. >> All right, you know what? I'll move on. It's a starter set episode. I would love to know what people think about this. >> No, you should do it. Do it. >> Do it, comment. >> You would say these people think about it. Every year you come up with some idea to revolutionize fantasy football and you never put it into action. Do it. See if people like it. I think it's still early enough to propose it. I think people get frustrated. They had this great team. They ran into a buzz saw in the playoffs, whatever. They had a bad week. >> Just do it. Just stop talking about it. Should we be picking up Demon Clayborn for the Minnesota Vikings with Jordan Mason on IR? We're going to talk about that in a little bit. We'll talk about La Mcconkey and Zay Flowers. Baker may feel the against Cleveland Rathanch, Chuba Hubbard at Atlanta and Parker Washington at Denver. Let's talk about Baker at Cleveland. >> Yeah, you get to revenge game narrative. I liked the fact that he's at home. He averaged over 20 fantasy points per game at home last year, despite it being a bad season for him. I thought a Mecca Bukka look good. I thought Chris Godwin look good. I just didn't think that they got the fantasy production into your hoping for. And so if Baker does what he did early in the season last year in this game, which I think he will, because I think they're going to have a ball a lot. You just such ever Lawrence have four touchdowns against this defense. I think Baker could be a top 10 fantasy quarterback. Chuba is a little bit tougher to trust, but seems like he's going to be the lead running back for at least the short term. We'll see if it's for the long term, but played significantly more than Jonathan Brooks. My guess is they'll ease Brooks back into it. He's not a slam dunk. I was looking for somebody that I love that's not necessarily an easy start. And I think Chuba qualifies just because I don't think this Atlanta team is going to be very good with their quarterback situation being what it is. So again, time of possession to favor the Panthers. Vice-jong carves them up annually in Atlanta, four in one in Atlanta in his career. And last two games that he's been there, he's just shy of I think 700 yards passing in the two games combined. So Chuba I think just gets opportunity to be a number two running back here. And then Parker Washington, I think there's some concern about the Denver defense being great, which is, but Washington start was part of his great run last year was a 19 point game against the Broncos last season. It's coming off a strong game. This one is an easy one. Just start him. Don't even think about it. Yep. And he's, you know, he plays enough in the slot. You don't have to worry about Sir Tan shadowing him. If you have to worry about anybody with that, it's Brian Thomas Jr., which is pretty sure what happened last year. Brian Thomas Jr., who has his shoulder injury, by the way, but I think he should play. He was shadowed by Patrick Sir Tan for at least a good chunk of that game. If you're watching on YouTube, there's a number that just stands out to me that I can't wrap my head around. It's the 57% start percentage, like what more does he have to do to crack your starting line? So when you look at that start percentage, you know, that's maybe just from last week and people haven't set their lineups yet, what would you think? No, that that usually would be a guy coming off a big game that had all this hype that had a strong finish would probably be in the 80s and I was still saying, okay, it's maybe a little low. I'm curious to see what it's really correlated to the number at the bottom, which is a sports line, right? Because it's projections. Okay. And maybe people are spooked by Denver, but again, that's more of a Brian Thomas Jr. issue we think. We'll talk about that game in a little bit. Chuba Hubbard or Jaylen Coker, who's a better start? Oh, boy. PPR, I probably go Coker, but hopefully he's healthy. Alright, players, you love this week, Jordan love at the Jets, Aaron Jones against the Bears and Luther Burton at Minnesota. Yeah, this looked like a new Packers offense in week one. They had a 31.3% run rate, which was third lowest in week one. They have been amongst the league leaders in that over the last couple of years. I don't believe that this Jets defense is anything to fear. I'm a little bit more optimistic, I think, than everybody else on Marshawn Lloyd having a little bit better game. It was funny. And that split looked a lot worse than the first half that it did for the whole game. But I still think this is a team that's going to have more success passing the ball than they are running the ball right now. And love has been one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the NFL over the last couple of years. He just hasn't got to throw it. And now it looks like he's got a couple of wide receivers and Tucker Kraft that he trusts. He's a top 12 quarterback and I'd start him over golf and burrow who we talked about earlier. I'm sorry. I may have missed it if you said it. Did you mention how past seven they were in the first half when they were leading? I know. Okay, 71% pass rate or something like that in the first half. It wasn't just because they were trailing or anything. They were leading for much of that game, the Packers, that is Aaron Jones against the Bears with Jordan Mason on IR with a thumb injury. Yeah, and I think what we're probably going to see is maybe Demon Claiborne work in just a little bit. I don't think we're going to see the same split though. And the real problem in this back field has been that both of these guys just get 9 to 11 carries and maybe they catch up pass or two. And it's hard to be a fantasy starter, only they both scored a touchdown last night. week. I think we get 13 plus carries from Aaron Jones in this game, probably three or four targets as well. We know how good the defenses that are facing, they're not good. And so I think we could see Jones. I'd rather start Jones than Shuba Hubbard. And I think they'll have a similar role. And I think what Hubbard did last week might be similar to what Jones does. Although Jones has that nose for the end zone when he's healthy. Jamie, how about you, Hubbard or Aaron Jones? Jones, yeah. I think it's an old ranking pre-Jordan Mason injury. He's in the top 20 for me. I think right around where he has him as well. One of my favorite stats. So he's played the bear 17 times in his career. And that's factoring in some games where he left early and wasn't the full-time guy or wasn't the dominant running back for the Packers on his career. So 17 times he's played the bear's in his career. He said 10 PPR points are more than 14 of them. And he averages 14.8 PPR points against him in his career with seven huge spike games. It's been like just massive games against Chicago. He loves facing this team. Just different versions of this team too. Obviously because he's seen them at sometimes their strength defensively. It's funny how it lines up that Jordan Mason misses the bear's game. And here's Aaron Jones once again. Maybe his final two times that he's going to play this team should be fun for Aaron Jones. Yeah. He's the top 20 running back. I would take more of it. Okay. And Luther Burton at Minnesota. So Ben Johnson, by the way, with the lions going up against Brian Flores was amazing. I mean, just killed Brian Flores. Last year with the bears, not quite as much success, but there's plenty of good history there. Six times, I believe they've faced off as coordinators or play callers, let's say. So you like Luther Burton to bounce back this week, Keith? Yeah. I pretty much left Colston Lovelin and Luther Burton in the same place that I had them ranked last week. And it's funny because you mentioned it. Like Ben Johnson's had a ton of success against this defense. We generally think of the Vikings of the defense. You might have to avoid for some positions. No defense gave up more points to wide receivers in week one in the Minnesota Vikings. I think there will probably be some big plays. I'm not sure. Rome Adunes A's 100% healthy yet. Expect both Luther Burton and Colston Lovelin to bounce back. But nobody's questioning starting Lovelin. People are questioning starting, starting Burton. You should start. Do you think O'Dunes A is still a sit? I would still sit, Roma Dunes A, but if he is a full participant in practice later in the week, I didn't even see what his practice designation was yesterday. I'm assuming then I'd be more encouraged as a number three. Yeah, that's interesting. I didn't see that one either. He was I think he's in full. It was full. Okay. I don't even see an update here. That seems like one there would have been an update on. Yeah. Okay. So Jamie loves Baker Mayfield, Chuba Hubbard, Parker Washington. He says Jordan Love, Aaron Jones, Luther Burton. And interesting that Ken Walker performance and Josh Downs at Kansas City on Sunday night. So we got Fanon Tutten Downs. And you could kind of just like use these guys to as placeholders for a group. I'd say Harold Fanon and Kyle Pitts, not with this quarterback, but I don't want to drop them. I think there's a decent chance that we get Shadoor Sanders starting at home next week against the Carolina Panthers defense. And I'm telling you to start Harold Fanon. So but I don't I don't want to start with Joshan Watson's had a lower tight end rate of target than the other quarterbacks around him since he got too Cleveland. That continued last week. Fanon was complete after thought in this offense. Like I said, I don't want to drop him yet, but I don't want to start him. Tutten, I think I'm glad you said it's funny after what Ken Walker did. We've seen zero evidence that Basel Tutten is Ken Walker or anything close, anything close to Ken Walker. And I would just say that this is where I'm the outlier this week is Parker Washington's pretty much the only Jacksonville player that I want to start against Denver. Yes, Jacksonville killed them last week. They couldn't stop the run last week. I think Denver at home is going to make a statement this week. And I don't expect a high scoring game for Jacksonville. Kansas City killed them last week. Ken Walker killed them last week. Right. Ken Walker did. And I mean, the white receivers did basically nothing. Jack Jacksonville also killed Denver last year. I said that part for sure. I think you said Jacksonville killed them last week. Yes. So you can't have said he killed them last year because I said two weeks. All right. I'm sorry. Sorry. I just said last week twice. I could be mistaken. Okay. Whatever it was. He said Jacksonville. I know he meant. I was trying to clear. We know you meant. Okay. So yeah, I think I'm excited to talk about Trevor Lawrence because you guys are very different on the rankings of Trevor Lawrence Tutton. Jamie, do you agree about sitting Tutton? I guess you haven't pretty similarly ranked. I had Tutton as a top 24 guy before the Vikings news. So Aaron Jones moved ahead of him. So I think he's a low in number two running back. Look, it's a good week for the position. I did think that Tutton ran well last week. You know, the 22 yard catch is something that's hard to expect if Alan is healthy. You know, they're down back. But I expect this to be an offensive game for the game where the Jaguars offense does perform well. I just don't think Denver's defense is going to be as dominant as it was a year ago, especially with Cooper out. So when Cooper's back, they may change some things. But for right now, I think just actual offense is clicking and Tutton is a high inflex or a low in number two running back. So I'm not scared of him because of Denver's defense. Certainly after what we saw as we. Also, you know, we didn't really notice this because it wasn't at the goal line, but the Jaguars had five third down and one or two situations, third and one or third and two. Chris Rodriguez was in on four of them. And Basil Tutton was in on one of them. So that's still a big concern here for Basil Tutton, that whole trap back scenario. Heath of the last guy, you had his Josh Downs at Kansas City. Would you extend that to Alec Pierce as well? Yes, I have Alec Pierce ranked the highest of the cold twide receivers, but it's just because of his ability to score on one play. I think if you're going to throw a dart on the cold twide receivers, just hope that Alec Pierce catches one long pass. I don't think that there anybody in this offense in the passing game is going to have six sustained success. Mancer DeLane, rookie quarterback for the Chiefs. First round pick, he is expected to play this week. I'm glad the Chiefs are back on primetime. We don't get enough of the Chiefs on primetime. I think the Giants have two in a row though. Yeah, there's only two teams that get Sunday night and Monday night to start the year. Giants and Chiefs. Here we go. All right, Jamie, you're three to sit. Our quinchon Judkins at Tampa Bay, Rico Dotto at New England, Marvin Harrison Jr. and his three targets last week against Seattle. You know, you start there. He actually played well against the the Seahawks in two games last season, but you know, now if there's Kendrick Bourne, it is really going to be in the mix and a fixture in this offense. It's obviously a new coach. I think you want to give Marvin Harrison another week if you can to see if you want to start him just given the fact that this is still a really good defense. We'll find out just with the secondary and some of the injuries that they're still working through, but I'm just not excited to start Marvin Harrison right now and nor is anybody else understandably so for the two running backs, I think you look at Giants hopefully, hopefully, hopefully with Dylan Samson out, they use him a little bit more in the passing game that does not seem to be the expectation because of either Raheem Sanders or the addition of Dylan McLaughlin, but you got to hope a little bit. And I think this is going to be one of those situations where I thought the bucks run defense was actually pretty good last week. I know Chase Brown had a good fantasy day, but that's more because I think the product of that offense, this just feels like a broken team at this point. And I don't know how much you want to buy into it. So it's not like I'm far off from saying he's a starter. I think you use him as a flex. He's obviously better and non-PPR than he is in PPR. He really just needs a score touch now. I don't think he's going to get a big he's going to have a big day running the ball in terms of his yards. And then in the case of Rico Daudeau, we know what this Patriots run defense has been when we're never built Williams on the field. The split is not ideal to see both these guys getting touches. I just don't want to start either one if I can avoid it. If I have to pick one, I'm going to go with Jalen Warren just based on what he did in the passing game last week. So I would like to avoid the Steelers back for the if I can just because the Patriots run defense still very much a dominant force. And I think it's going to be a very low squaring game. Anyone concerned about that or is that just the internet getting the best of me? I don't like the fact that all of the bingles are kind of hurt already. Again. Yeah, I mean, my personal opinion is that Jammar Chase did not really look like Jammar Chase in week one. Right. I don't know if I'm right about that but he just didn't obviously had a terrible week. So yeah, it's annoying and they're facing an angry Houston Texans defense. That is a little injured. But Joe Burrow, we're going to preview that game, but there's Joe Burrow. He says he's going to play. Kyler Murray is in the concussion protocol. Drew Locke is going to start this week. Sam Darnold has a glute issue, hopefully going to avoid IR Cooper Rush. Right now looks like he's going to be the quarterback for the Falcons this week. To it in practice. Michael Pennick's junior. Don't think he's ready yet, but we'll keep an eye on that. We know that's a huge one. Jordan Mason on IR with a thumb injury. Did anybody want to pick up to Mon Clayborn? Not yet. Deep release. Yeah, that you spent a little too much. I did. I spent, I meant to change it and I fell asleep. I spent eight dollars, eight percent. I think is more like a four percent guy. But he's one injury away for like a 31 year old or whatever. However old Aaron Jones is from being pretty relevant from sharing with DJ Dallas. Yeah. I don't think so. I don't take DJ like, yes, sharing, but, but being the perfect. Like maybe just being the early downs back in DJ Dallas, being the passing down. The passing down. Yeah, I agree, but that's fine or trade happening. Alvin Camera expected to play this week. Travian Henderson practiced in full. We'll preview that game. Sean Tucker practiced in full. And, you know, look, we still don't know. That's the big question right now for Bucky Irving. If Sean Tucker's the goal line back, it'd be very annoying. If he's not, probably going to be a great year for Bucky Irving. RJ Harvey, they didn't officially practice because they had the Monday night game. But Harvey was listed as out of practice with a hamstring issue. We'll keep an eye on that. Two wide receivers that right now we don't know. Lab McConkey and Zay Flowers. They both mispracticed based on the rankings. You guys are more optimistic about Zay Flowers playing this week because he is ranked. And Lab McConkey is not in for week two as of now. And Nico Collins has a hamstring injury. And he really might miss this week's game. Apparently they don't think it's serious. But week two is in jeopardy according to Adam Schefter. The strangest report that I've seen. They don't think it's serious. And they immediately wanted to see a doctor. Yeah, I don't like that. He had to go get testing Nico Collins for the hamstring. He missed two games last year. One of them was a playoff game. Xavier Hutchinson. Either tied for the team lead or just led the team in targets. And in both games. Is heath is there a Texans receiver or tight end that you think should be added? I mean, Dalton Schultz should already be rostered. And Dalton Schultz is a good streaming option this week if you need him. He went from maybe the most difficult matchup against tight ends last year to definitely the easiest matchup against tight ends last year. Very strange. And this is probably just a fluke, but I feel like I have to mention it. He had five combined targets in those two games on on 86 pass attempts for CJ Stroud in two games without Nico Collins. But I think, yeah, look at the more recent transient eight targets last week. Dalton Schultz. Alec Pierce practiced in full, which is great because he was limited last week. Jalen Coker was limited. We expect him to play Cooper. Cup was limited and Tory Horton practiced in full. Maybe we'll see him this week at Arizona. Michael Pittman limited with a foot injury. A lot of guys are going to be limited on Wednesdays. That's probably just one of those whatever situations for Pittman. Jalen McMillan practiced in full. Desjans tripling expected to miss about 10 weeks. And Brian Thomas Jr. has a shoulder injury, but he should play. John Johnson mispracticed with an illness. He should play Jake Ton just unfortunately out for the season for the 49ers. Brock Bowers and Trey McBride, both mispractice. McBride should be just fine. It was listed as rest slash back. Brock Bowers on the other hand, not ranking him yet, right? Nope. No, we don't expect him to play. Okay, we're not expecting Bowers at this moment. What was I going to say? You love my playoff idea? No, I don't dislike your playoff idea. I just want to see you actually do one of these things that you talk about. Me too. I have this wonderful idea that you never do. It's hard to implement. It's your league. Do it. So any major injuries on defense that we need to know about, we got a couple of big players for the Eagles that mispractice. Cooper Dejean, who expects to play and Jalen Carter. The Seahawks might get safety, Nicky and Worryback. Chargers defensive tackle, T.A.R. Tarte mispractice and defensive back Elijah Molden mispractice. AJ Terrell for the Falcons, their number one quarter. He mispracticed with a shoulder injury. I have a feeling he's probably fine because he left the game briefly in week one and then came back. And Carlton Davis, Patriots, very good cornerback for them. He mispractice as well. One question for each game. Here we go. Find out today also about Aaron Donald. Oh, okay. Okay. Please sit another game. Since an ad he's at Houston. Are we cool with the Bengals passing game heath? I'm starting Chase and Higgins. I burrow is a very borderline starter. And I'm not, I'm not quite there yet with Mike Gisickey. By the way, just back to the injuries real quick, someone asked about Deandre Swift. He was limited with knee and ankle issues, but I think if he's limited, he's probably okay. But yeah, we'll keep an eye on Deandre Swift. Gisickey didn't run that many routes. He had like a 40 something percent target per out run rate, which is not repeatable. I sent you guys that stat. I think it's 26 games in a row for the Texans. They have not allowed multiple wide receivers to score 12 or more PPR fantasy points in 26 straight games. Do you think it happens this week? Oh, so yeah, I mean, everybody starts these guys. I know. All right, New Orleans at Baltimore. Jamie starter sit Tyler Schuck. I would prefer to sit him, but he's, you know, at this point with no buy weeks, I think when you get to a quarterback, there's probably in the 16, 17, 18 range, he's probably in the starting conversation. So he's coming off a very strong stretch of games. It's not just that he played well last week. He's been, I think it's like six of the last seven sevens last eight going back last year of 20 or more fantasy points. So there is a track record here of a quarterback that's been delivering that said we saw Baltimore's defense look really good last week, aside from the opening drive. And that was a Jonathan Taylor touchdown. So I don't think you have to start Chuck. I would like to roster Chuck. And I, the Steelers defense is good, but it's not one that I feel like I have to run away from. Jamie, you have him 18th. Dave's right in the middle at 13th. He's at eight on Drake May. Sit him. I just don't like what I see right now, you know, and it goes back to last year granted. A lot of it has been against some of the best defenses in the NFL because it was the playoffs. But his last six games. He's averaging just 17 fantasy points for 17.7 fantasy points per game. It's eight touchdowns and seven interceptions over that span. The whole idea of why we loved Drake May, even more this year was because of AJ Brown. And Romeo Dobbs. And it couldn't have gone worse for what happened to those two guys last week aside from Dobbs also getting injured. But not having AJ Brown and Dobbs looking lost. He has 100% correct. He was great last year without those two guys. He did have digs even in a limited snap share. So I'm hopeful that Drake May bounces back. He did a good game against them last year in week three. I just think that even though the Steelers defense wasn't tested to normal degrees last week because it was Cooper Rush. This is still a very good defense on the other side of the ball. They're going to put pressure on Drake May. This is a, you know, a little bit of a discovery game for him. Can you trust him coming off of this because if he's going to struggle in tough matchups against good defense, you're going to have a hard time playing, especially while AJ Brown is out. So my guess is. Looking at it, you know, we can only go by what Starpercentage tells us and Starpercentage tells us that people are running away from Drake Mays The 69% started for a guy that was drafted as a top five quarterback at the minimum So for me in the leagues where I have Drake May If Jordan Love was available, I'm starting Jordan Love over him without even questioning it. They're actually eighth and pass rate last season, but ran the 50s plays Um still slow paced, but I think this this game or the Steelers offense in particular is one of the most difficult for The underlying data versus the actual performance Because like what they did offensively and what they specifically with DK Medcalf having the second most area arts in that game Is awesome for him, but the performance sucked so and the running backs Rico Dowdall played a lot more snaps ran a lot more routes But the performance sucked and do they go away with from what they were planning on doing coming into week one in week two Just because it didn't work or 'cause if they do that all season long, I think it's good news for DK and Donald. - Yeah, Dave was watching the tape of this one, and he told me, I didn't guess I didn't realize this, that they basically just alternated possessions. Jaylen Warren and Rico Dowdell, so it surprised me that Dowdell's snap count was so much higher. As far as Metcalf goes, there were three defining plays of this game, and three reasons why this game wasn't a bigger blowout. One was the throw to the end zone, where it was like a lot of contact, no call. Metcalf couldn't hold it in. One was a deep ball down the sideline, where AJ Torell, 100% got away with the pass in the face. - Yes, just grabbed his arm. - Decalus, and that should have been a big play, and one was just a flat out drop by DK Metcalf, and that should have been a big play. So if they convert two of those three, it looks a lot different, I think, and Metcalf has a really big game. So with that said, and everything you just said, are there any Steelers that you want to start in this game? - Not with any confidence at all, but I'm still starting DK as a wide receiver three, and I still have Warren and Dowdall rank pretty close to where I did last week. I think you were thought, it kind of got both. Like I'd talked about how I thought with Mike McCarty, they're gonna be throwing down Fieldmore, they did that, but you were thought that Aaron Rogers throws so much to his running backs, also proved true. Warren and Dowdall, I think, had nine combined targets. So it was encouraging for all three of them. - I think they had 11 targets, I think. - 11, even better. - They both had five or six, and that kind of, obviously it's not gonna happen every week, but a lot of deep balls and a lot of short balls, bad for Michael Pittman. All right, so yeah, I mean, I got Warren in a few leagues, I'm gonna flex him. I just think he's gonna catch a decent amount of balls in PPR, give me a little floor there, but it's a flex. Yeah, that's kind of what we're looking at here. We're looking at flexes. Jamie, who's a must start in this game at any position on any team? - I still start with Andre, I expect the Patriots to be very conservative. Their defense is great. They're going to be able to control that side of the ball because I still think the Steelers offense work in progress, and not as good as their defense still. So if they struggle to run the ball, and you put Aaron Rogers in some one-dimensional situations, I know the Patriots, oh my God, they lost that game last week. They still did a great job, and take it to count. Sam Donagh hurt, they did a great job in containing the Seahawks offense. So I feel like this is a very low-scoring game where you don't get a lot of huge production across the board, and Ramondra is still to prefer running back here. So he's the only one I would consider a must start player. - And you say that you're expecting Trevion to play, right? - Yeah, I think we're gonna get Trevion eased in. It would be great. I think he's talked about this earlier in the week when we were talking about him coming back to practice. Like this injects some new life into this offense that feels flat after what we saw last week. So maybe there's a few ways to be creative with him. I don't know how any fantasy manager can start Trevion coming off an ankle injury, knowing that when Ramondra has been healthy, it's been difficult to trust him. So you'd love to see, oh, this is the new way it was gonna look, more in his favor from a playing time standpoint, more touches for him, more opportunities. Even if it's just like the old Patriots, Josh McDaniel's offense is of, there's a thumping running back, and then there's a pass catching running back. And then we get Trevion being the James White, Danny Woodhead type of guy that, you know, always had some PPR success. So that'd be fun to see. I just think you gotta give it a week and see what this looks like. - So why don't we rank the running backs and wide receivers like the top four in this game? And if you look two years before that, the last time he played them before that game, he also scored two touchdowns. So basically a guarantee Hunter Henry's gonna score two touchdowns. - Yeah, the Steelers are actually terrible against tight ends last year. They gave up the fourth most fantasy points. - They were pretty good in week one. - They were, no, no catches for Kyle Pits on one target. Uh, okay, so there's Henry or Dalton Schultz. - I go Henry. - We also, like that one target for Kyle Pits would have been a touchdown if Cooper Rush could throw the ball. - He made a great move on that play. I don't know if we're gonna get to that. I mean, some of you might, this show is going super long. Some of you might not be around for Eagles Titans. I have something that I want to tell you about Devonte Smith. And I don't like it at all. But here's Jacksonville at Denver. Just looking at roles. Things that caught my eye in week one. Brian Thomas Jr.'s average route depth was 14.8 yards. It was only 14 routes, but that ranked second among 105 wide receivers who ran 10 or more routes. I hate that. Sip Brian Thomas, like he's gonna be, if he's keep doing that, he's gonna be pretty boomer bust. Sip Brian Thomas this week. Jalen Waddle, big role change for him. 65% slot rate. He hasn't been anywhere near that since his rookie year when he had a 54% slot rate. After that, it was about 20%. Meanwhile, Evan Ingram, he lined up in line on 21 of his 32 snaps. He had been about 47% in line his previous two seasons. They barely played Evan Ingram in the slot. He did catch his touchdown when he's lined up out wide. But different roles. Jalen Waddle in the slot. A ton of Evan Ingram in line. So it's like on the end of the line of scrimmage. A ton, like two thirds of his snaps. And which is usually not good thing for a tie-down, even though he had a good game. All right, Trevor Lawrence, let's go. Fifth for Jamie, 19th for Heath, and Dave is right in the middle at 12th, holy cow. He's, you're just, yeah, what do you think? I think the biggest problem with the Broncos defense in week one was that they couldn't tackle. And I don't think that the Broncos defense forgot how to tackle. I think one Ken Walker's great at creating broken tackles to they had a really miserable week one. They were still very good in coverage. They can still get pressure on the quarterback. I can't imagine how angry this defense is both at getting embarrassed on national television by the chiefs and by remembering what Trevor Lawrence did against them in the playoffs. I think they'll have a better scheme for what the Jacksonville Jaguars are doing. And I don't want to trust anyone to park her Washington this way. offense. Okay, Jamie, let's hear the rebuttal. How many games that they won in a row? Nine. How many points that they scored in that nine game play? Like 3319 regular season games in a row. They did lose a game in the middle. 33.7 regular season wins in a row. It's a nine regular season wins in a row. 33.7 points per game and the number one defense in that stretch too. And in that stretch, including the playoff game, whoever Lawrence has scored 23.1 fantasy points per game or more. So he's just locked in right now with Liam Cohen's offense. And I think it's just going to be another game where he performs at a high level. I'm just very encouraged by what Jacksonville is doing right now. And it's not just one guy. Yes, Parker Washington was great last week. Three other players caught touchdowns. None of them was named Brian Thomas Jr. or Travis Hunter who they're forcing in a lot of ways on the field. So I think Trevor Lawrence has another game. I probably haven't ranked a little bit too high, but I just love what Liam Cohen has done for him and what it looked like last week. I know it was against Cleveland, but it was just easy. And it was easy in a lot of ways against Denver last year, too, in Denver. Yeah. I mean, look, Denver's defense is great, but they played a lot of bad teams last year. They did bad team at all. 37.2 fantasy points last year in week 16 at Denver. It was a big statement for Trevor Lawrence. All right, he's just not not there with it. Okay. I want to, you know, I probably sounded to the alarm a little bit too much on Brian Thomas Jr. I think we all agree. This week's got to shoulder things. Probably going to get certain. Not going to be great, but he did. He was limited in snaps last week. He had a 24.1 percent target per run rate. That was really good. The way Trevor Lawrence is playing the way he's throwing the ball downfield, it could work for Brian Thomas. I just don't like him having basically the highest average route depth in the NFL in week one, second highest among 105 wide receivers. Okay. Renton strange starter sit. That's down to bust. Yeah. Bo Nick starter sit. So it means for me, it's a must sit at this point. Is there any Bronco that you want to start or just kind of be grudgingly start Waddle? Yes. And Waddle is a number 3. Right. This run defense for the Jaguars, it was great last year, third best against running backs. It was great in week one. It's a tough match up for Dobbins. If Harby's out, we can reconsider. But we don't expect that at this point. I'm so curious like what the correction is going to be for Denver, what the correction is going to be for Sean Payton. Sean Payton taking the sheet back. If this gets ugly early, give me that. I would love to see like Davis Web in his offense, drawing a place and Sean Payton like looking over and going. No, he said they had him interviewed during the game. And he or no, I think it was on the manning cast and Peyton Manning said talking to him. He said that he asked Davis Web. He's like, what's it like with Sean Payton who's called place for so long? And he's like, oh, he comes into the office all the time. And if he gives us a play, we run that play like what Sean Payton wants in the office is in the office. Yeah. I mean, look, it's still his offense. You know, Davis Web running the plays that Sean Payton has installed over time, you know, certainly over the time with, with, with Bonix. It's just you wonder like if, if this gets bad early, does he just, give me that? You know, I got on. You're done. Which DST do you prefer? The Jaguars. I think I still have number higher. Yeah. We're going to try to get away from the Colts wide receivers. Josh Downs, Alec Pierce, Kenan Allen. Heath said he prefers Alec Pierce because he could always have that one big play. Josh Downs. 76% roster right now. God open a lot. Didn't really get the ball enough last game. Starters at Tyler Warren, Jamie. Start. Yeah. It's tough to get away from a terrible game. He did score a touchdown, but only five targets. Heath and Dave have worn in the top five. Jamie has an eighth. So, you know, still starting him. Heath, the Holmes. How do we feel about him this week? I think, right. Like he is in the top 12 conversation for me. If you look at my projections, the difference between Jordan Love at QB 11 and Patrick Mahomes at QB 15 is less than a half of a point, but I think with how run heavy the chiefs went and the fact that we expect the chiefs to be playing ahead in this game, I would rather not start Patrick Mahomes, but I don't I don't have to run away from him if I've got him. I'd rather start Patrick Mahomes than Jackson Dart and Trevor Lawrence. So you have like two ways to look at the performance last week. Great that he ran, right? Because that was a concern and didn't show any hesitation in doing so. Great that you got the little pop pass touchdown because that's always an easy point, easy way to get points for him. The run game was awesome as he just said. Rushy Rice, we have some questions about how just good he'll be top end production. And so that I think limits the receiving core. You got the huge play from Travis Kelsey, which to me is fluky and less than 200 yards passing. So is he going to be a touchdown dependent quarterback, which would be great. And then you get some of the big yardage pops on top of it. I just don't want to run back to Patrick Mahomes because he had 25 fantasy points last week. The one thing I'm really curious about and I think Jamie's a higher on him at Johnson, I might move him up based on this, but I wonder if they try to get Rice going and don't want to give Walker too much this week. It's a short week. And he just had 26 touches. Dude, it was crazy that he was still in the game late in the game. They said career high something. I don't know if it was something yardish record or something. There was something that they they had just got close to or maybe it was Walker's career. And I was like, okay, this makes sense. Like they're trying to get him something when he finally came out of the field. But I was like, it's a short week. And like, what are you doing? Right. Yeah. Yeah, I think his touches were high. 26 touches just to throw this out there. I don't want to see Jameer Gibbs get 29 carries every week. That's a little scary. But do you want to see be John Robinson, like 53% target share every week? I mean, I'd rather it be catches and carries, right? So anyway, Mahomes, yeah, Jamie, you're about the same. I'm a home. He had him 17th. He has him 15th. Dave has him 18th. So we'd like to get away from him. Rishi rice is 17th ish for everyone 16th to 18th in the rankings for Dave, Jamie and Heath. We talked a lot about Rishi rice yesterday. I have concerns. I hope he bounces back. I, you know, I hope he shows more. We're going to say, say, say, say, be worthy. That's his name. Kelsey. How would you compare Kelsey to the guys that we may have picked up lately? Heath Dalton Schultz, Jawan Johnson, who is the other guy? Michael Meyer. Michael Meyer. There he is. So I would start Michael Meyer and Hunter Henry over Travis Kelsey, but I probably wouldn't make a move to do that unless I just had somebody I wanted to drop. I have Kelsey one spot ahead of Johnson, two spots ahead of Schultz, but they're all the same guy in the projection. So I wouldn't argue too strong for any of those guys. Okay. I think if you have any concerns about Rishi Rice and you saw week one, whereas Xavier Worthy had three times as many targets as Rishi Rice. Oh, I thought you were going to say and you saw week one where the cults were chasing safe flowers all around the field. Oh, that's true. Yeah. But also the average route that for Xavier Worthy was seven yards, which is pretty low. It's in fact, I think it's low. It's a yard lower than what it was for Rishi Rice. So big issue for Worthy. is just been like he's this deep ball guy that they can never connect. I guess what I'm saying is I'd be patient with worthy, you know, if you share the same concerns that I do that I have. And we're going to, it looks like we're going to sit the DST with a chiefs or kind of border line and we'll sit the cults. All right, Green Bay is at the Jets. It's that of the game. The Titans facing the Jets last week had the fifth lowest pressure rate and zero sacks. And Geno Smith had his fifth highest completion rate of his career. I went back and watched the tape for this game and I think they played pretty well offensively. It wasn't amazing or anything, but like really look competent on time, solid performance against the defense that again had nothing in the Titans defense. Packers, we'll see what they have. Okay, talked about Jordan Love at the top of the show. You guys both have Jordan Love 11th. Marshawn Lloyd, we've talked about a ton, but Heath is higher on Marshawn Lloyd than Jamie. I guess I'll throw out some Marshawn Lloyd. Marshawn Lloyd or Xavier Hutchinson, if Nico were out. Lloyd Lloyd. Marshawn Lloyd or Stefan Digs at Dallas. Digs. So the disappointing one was obviously read. You know, the fact that he had seven targets, I would sign up for that on a week-to-week basis. Hopefully that continues. Golden 12 targets was fantastic. Watson looked the part of being an alpha receiver and hopefully that continues. So this is what we were hoping for. A lot of volume from the past game, 42 pass attempts. Love has been great, basically his career every time he's been over 30. So I'll keep that going. And then continue to feature the four guys in the offense when you factor and tuck a crack. So I don't know how many. Golden and Jalen Coke are very similar. You draft to these guys relatively late, do you have spots in your lineup to put them in? So you're trying to force two guys coming off strong performances that you could see having success once again into your team. I think Golden is a definite starter in three or several leagues and a potential flex in two or several leagues. Again, I would just I wouldn't give up on read just yet. Would you start Martian Lloyd or Matthew Golden? Golden and PPR easily. Golden and PPR Lloyd and everything else. Christian Watson or Parker Washington, a question from the chat. Parker. Both, but Parker. Tucker Kraft is a start this week. He ran less than half the routes in 65 yards on six targets. He's so good. Sit, Gino Smith, Starpreet's Hall, Starcare at Wilson, shout out to Adonio Mitchell, three targets, turn it into 60 yards, but we can't start him yet and Kenan Sedeek, we're not going to start. I want to see some easier stuff from Devante Smith. I don't want him to have to rely on big plays. Well, just to be clear, that offer was on Sunday. So it's Thursday. You know, the offer's still on the table. It would just be that you would wear the beard through Thanksgiving until the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Oh gosh. How did I do that? It's Thanksgiving. My family's dad all of a sudden. All right, Raiders, it's chargers. Sit, cousin, start, genty. Any interest in going back to Trey Tucker. I mean, he ran 87% of the routes. I don't, I don't think Trey Tucker is a guy that just because he had a bad game in week one. He can't have a good game in week two. That's just kind of who he is. So what do we do with that, Heath? Boom bus flex. He's still in my top 48. I agree with you. If I had to start a Raiders-wide receiver, which you probably don't, he would be in my favorite Raiders-wide receiver to start, but you're right. He's the type of player you don't overreact to one week in either direction. I totally agree, but this is also the type of guy in your roster that if you want to speculate on a Texans receiver or a Patriots receiver, that particular player could easily be better than Trey Tucker until the starting wide receiver comes back who they were placing. I hope the chargers' defense can bounce back. They were so bad against the car nose last week. Michael Mayer, as of yesterday, 33% rostered, I dropped Michael Mayer, but I feel like people won't pick him up. I will pick him up again. I was disappointed, but I think that seven targets, Jamie, was encouraging. They're all pretty much short areas stuff. He's a really low A dot, but he's a part of the, he's a big part of the offense. So I'll pick him back up. I dropped him just in case Bowers plays. I wanted to pick up some guys, but yeah, I think you have him ninth, he has him seventh, they've has him 11th. We're cool with Michael Mayer. It's that worry more about the target share, too, than the targets because the Raiders probably won't have very many games the rest of the year, wherein that that type of game script. Yeah, 30 pass attempts is not super low, but it's pretty low. I'm guessing league average is probably in the 33-ish range. You might know that he's, but 30's low for Kirk Cousins last week. Jamie, how do you feel about Justin Herbert? I'm sure it's a Lad Mcconkey thing, but how do you feel about him? Discarged, clearly. I mean, you know, somebody had high expectations for it in the offensive line, let him down, but would have liked to see Lad Mcconkey finish that game. I think you got to consider what your lineup looks like. So if you can carry two quarterbacks, you stash Herbert and you play Jordan Love, you play Baker May, field, you play guys that have better matchups and are coming off in the case of a love of better game. So I don't know, I don't have many teams similar, Drake Mayer, like I don't have many teams right after those guys that I'm cutting players at this point to pick up a second quarterback or there's a good enough second quarterback out there. And that says a lot because I like Bryce Young's matchup this week. I just wouldn't want to drop somebody to pick up Bryce Young to start over Herbert or the same thing with Mayer. Look, the Raiders defense played very well last week. It was against Malik Willis and the Dolphins, you know, so hopefully, hopefully, Mcconkey or not, you get a good game from Justin Herbert and you feel a lot better about him looking forward. Okay, he's 16th for you and Heath, you actually like Herbert this week, haven't 10th? It's yeah, very similar. I think to where I had him in the preseason, I think I don't think this Raiders secondary is very good. I think he'll be able to have enough success with Quentin Johnston and Trey Harris and David and Joe. Okay, so you're going to start him even if Lab Mcconkey does not play. Start Hampton. Yeah, Quentin Johnston, Heath, you said you're going to write back to him with Mcconkey's out and if Mcconkey's in not so much. Yeah, he'll be in that Trey Tucker range if Mcconkey's in. Jamie, where do you have Quentin Johnston? Top 30, you know, that's a number two receiver, essentially, and good game against the Raiders last year at the start of the season. He should see an uptick in targets, at least that would be the hope. I mean, this is where if you're in Miami-Dandy, you better come out with something quick because it was bad against what I still think is a bad defense. And like Heath said, this should be a bad Raiders defense, too. So hopefully they protect him. Hopefully he gets some chances to make some plays. Maybe he goes back to running a little bit. That was a big part of his game last year as well. So they just need to be better across the board. Involve Hampton in the passing game, that would help. If the joke was your guy, okay, cool, feature him a little bit more to get some shots down the field to Quentin Johnston. The wild card and all this really is Trey Harris if there is no Mcconkey. So another situation where the the Trey Tuckers of the world, the Josh Downs of the world, the receivers that are at the end of your bench, do you move off of them to pick up Harris in case this Mcconkey injury is not just this week, but it's long term. Doesn't sound it like that, but I think Harris is in that pick your favorite Patriots, pick your favorite Texans conversation and hopefully he delivers. But there's a lot more upside for him just based on his pedigree. I wanted to just highlight one question from the check just because I was the optimistic guy on Herbert and he says, "Mad, I don't know. I have pretty, I'm starting pretty, yes, 100%. Perty's the top five quarterback. It's not somebody, I'd much rather start in the Herbert." And I'm going to ask this tomorrow because we're an hour and 21 minutes in and people might have tuned out by now. But we've got AJ Brown, Zayflowers, Lab Mcconkey, Nico Collins, I said, Lab Mcconkey. That might be it for like injured star receivers. I want to know who your favorite guy is out of Hutchinson, Hollins. I won't say Romeo Dopsies so rostered, but Hutchinson, Mac Hollins, Trey Tucker, we throw Brock Bowers injury in there. Trey Harris, who ran every route in the fourth quarter with Lab Mcconkey out. That's the one Trey Harris. I'll ask it again tomorrow. We'll get Dave's opinion on it. And honestly, I think David Najoku is another reason why I was fine dropping Matt Michael mayor. So I was like, look, if someone picks up Michael mayor, there's David Najoku, there's Dalton Schultz, there's guys like Najoku had five targets last game, three of his targets came without lad Maconkey. I feel a thing. Right? I'd, I'd start in a joke with if Maconkey's not in, I'd start him over Fanon and Pits. Yeah. Exactly. He's not a bad option. You wouldn't start Pits though if the quarterbacks better, right? If, if any other quarterback besides Cooper, I think if, if anybody besides Cooper, rush place quarterback, put Adam a quarterback and I'm starting carpets. Yeah. All right. Philadelphia's at Tennessee. I already talked about the trend for Devonte Smith that I don't like. Here's another thing I didn't love. Saquon Barkley only ran 27% of the routes. The previous two seasons with the Eagles. He ran about 60% of the routes and he didn't have a catch last week. The good thing is he didn't come off the field that much on third down. He just did a lot of blocking. He didn't run the routes, but I thought without AJ Brown that they'd involve him more in the passing game because they had in the past. And in week one, it was a dud. It was one, it was one catch, one catch for negative three yards for Barkley, who ran really well though. That's the good thing. Start hurt. Start Barkley. Devonte Smith. We're going back to him. You guys have him in the top 13. Dave has Devonte Smith, 20th and Dallas Goddard. We talked about earlier during one question for each game. I already talked about him earlier.
