Week 2 Recap: Vintage Kelce-Mahomes, Caleb and Jayden Injured, Chargers Disaster, Waddle’s Return, and Comeback Shough

The episode reflects on a chaotic yet pivotal start to the NFL season, emphasizing both standout performances and widespread injuries. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs delivered a dominant, high-energy victory, fueled by a revitalized offense and key contributions from Kenneth Walker and Emmitt Johnson. Conversely, the Chargers were exposed as a struggling team, plagued by poor coaching, multiple fumbles, and a series of injuries, including Justin Herbert’s ineffective pocket presence and Omar Hamdan’s fumbles. The Saints showed remarkable resilience, overcoming a 17-point deficit to defeat the Ravens, with Tyler Shuck and Chris Alave leading the charge. Meanwhile, injuries to key players such as Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and others highlight the fragility of the league’s top teams. The narrative also underscores broader themes of team resilience, player development, and the importance of depth, especially in high-pressure games. From the deep roots of stadium construction to the on-field drama, the episode blends football analysis with reflections on the human effort behind the game. It concludes with a warning about the risks of over-reliance on key players, emphasizing that even the most promising teams are vulnerable to injury and poor execution. The season’s early momentum is set against a backdrop of uncertainty, where injuries and coaching decisions could redefine team trajectories.

I'm joined by Danny K. That was a weird intro. It's late. It is overtime. The Chiefs just beat the Colts. It's 33 to 30 and it took so long that it's broken my brain. I don't know what year it is because the Chiefs are just, it's an inevitable, unstoppable winning machine and the Chargers fumbled six times and a bunch of others, like, I mean, Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers are kind of passive, aggressively blaming each other for losing a football game. I don't know if it's 2018 or if it's 2026, TK. Time is a flat circle, I once heard. Yeah, the Chiefs look good. Look, I actually was pretty impressed with the Colts in that Sunday night game, but yeah, the Chiefs are inevitable overtime. Never give the ball back. It's like never having, never starting a land war in Asia. Why are you giving the ball back to, Patrick Mahomes with three minutes left in overtime? Yeah, I don't care that it was fourth and eight. It's like, you know, if you kick that field goal, you're losing the game. Oh, come on. You're giving him shit for that. They called a play and if there was going to be a blitz, they were going to go for it. I actually respect that they even tried it. Better than Aaron. Aaron Glenn would have just ran the clock out. Okay. Aaron Glenn's a horrible coach. I don't know why that's the comparison. Call a timeout, run a different play. You're guaranteeing a loss. You're on the road. It's Patrick Mahomes. Everyone, literally everyone on Twitter was like, oh, there's no way in hell the Chiefs aren't scoring here. There he is. Both teams were just marching down the field. Everyone knew immediately. It's a good thing the Chiefs won because I think if the Colts won, I don't really know what my takeaway would be. Like, it'd be weird. Like, I feel like I just assumed the Colts are going to win the game, the whole game. I mean, the Chiefs are going to win the game the whole time. And then when the Colts just kept hanging around, it made me consider if the Colts are actually a good team and that, you know, the Colts we saw from last year, the first eight weeks, I don't think they're that, but they might be closer to that than some opposite version. I thought that. The Colts were really impressive today and Mahomes and everything was great and he looks awesome and Kenneth Walker's unstoppable and it's like a completely new offense. But man, Colts, you got to give it to them. No Alec Pierce. Like, they looked pretty good today. I thought considering how much the Colts are relying on Laquan Treadwell in 2026, I was pretty blown away at overall how they competed. I don't know. The Chiefs, though, they are just back. Like, they have a strong offensive line, which is always the weak point, but Ken Walker. Ken Walker and Emmitt Johnson just kind of materializing for this team this year. Such a big difference in their offense, those two guys. It's, first of all, just having that number 10. Also, Emmitt Johnson just feels larger than he actually is to me. I don't know why that one catch he had where he's just doing, like, the jump back, jump back, and then going forward. But I feel like they make Travis Kelsey faster. I feel like they make Tyquan Thornton more open. Like, what they do, they just, you know, the whole point of the Andy Reid offense is they want to be able to use the whole, like, you know, every blade of grass. It actually feels like the Chiefs are using it every blade of grass now. I feel like this is the best this offense has looked the last two weeks that the Chiefs have looked in three years. Haivich, you said you don't know what year it is. Also, Travis Kelsey having 100 yards and a touchdown in this game felt like Travis Kelsey from 2019. And he said, they said on the broadcast that Kelsey's in much better shape this year than he is last year. And then he got some new trainer. He's doing new whatever. To me, it's very obvious. He looks good. Yeah, he's moving well. He got in wedding shape. Yeah. 100%. That's what it is. You got to look great for the wedding. And he seems lighter. He seems more spry. He seems fast. Faster. Makes a ton of sense. This was an interesting game. Obviously, it was like, I mean, John Taylor, Ken Walker, this already feels like these are the best two running backs right now. But there was a lot of weird reviews in this game. I mean, it was weird enough. The whole Keenan Allen got a first down, but we have one camera angle of it. Like it was the JFK assassination. They showed the other angle. And it was like, oh, first down. We can see the ball. I was so confused by that. And I want to make sure I understand what happened. They were saying that Keenan Allen almost definitely probably got a first down, but we can't see when he caught it. And we don't want to assume. So we can't just give it to him. As if Sunday Night Football, they literally have like 40 cameras at this game, right? Yeah. I respect it because Tirico was actually like, I don't get this. And this is dumb. And you know, wouldn't let it go, which was great. Yeah. When the broadcasters are like, all right, this doesn't make any sense. I know that the call is incredibly stupid. Does it? Does the NFL not have access to the Sunday Night Football feed? I feel like they, I thought they do. No, they do. They definitely do. So that, yeah, it was just very bizarre. It's not that simple, but like the refs are using the television cameras. Like NBC is giving the referees the angles. But then that became prologue for the, the end of regulation, which are the end of regulation, which was insane. Or sorry, not the end of regulation, the end of that Colts drive. The first possession for the Colts, right? Which became the Laquan Treadwell catches this. It ended up not being so consequential, but at the time it seemed insane where he makes this, basically has this huge catch, puts them inside the red zone for Indianapolis. And then Laquan Treadwell stands up and the ball gets punched out immediately. And then it's whether Laquan Treadwell was grazed ever, like a light breeze just swept by him or not. And whether he was touched. And I feel like they literally, NFL was like, we don't know, but we feel like if the NFL league office gives the Chiefs a win, literally on Sunday Night Football, everyone's just going to never drop the referees like the, the Chiefs thing. And they had to calm down. I think the letter of the law in terms of what the, how the rule is written. I do think that it was the right call. I don't know. Like it was really, really close, obviously. So if you didn't see basically the defender, a Chiefs defender grazed Treadwell's hip as he had like almost simultaneously as he actually gained possession of the football, right? He was bobbling it for a little bit. He was bobbling it. And the guy touched him before he actually secured it. And then right when he secured it, the guy barely grazed his hip. And then he got it. And then he got it. And then he got up and ran. And then he fumbled. So they call him down based on that graze, which is like, I think it was spiritually like football, like as a weird football thing to say, because he's like barely touched him. But like letter of the law, I do feel in my gut. I told you guys at this time, I do think they got it right. I don't know. It was really close. They definitely got it right. I think in the beginning, everybody only saw the shoulder grab and then the Jersey touch. But then there was like a third, the hip touch at the end. I didn't see the first couple of times. And then once they pointed that out, it became more clear. So I just, I do think they got the right call. I just love that the NFL, it really does feel like every other week, there's like a play that I've never seen before. And I'm like, I don't know how they're going to call that. Dude. Yeah. Their casebook. Isn't that what they have? Some casebook of just like really unique plays. It must be so fucking huge. It's remarkable how many times I'm like, I've never seen that before. It's every week. You're so right. And also, there are also players that I've never seen before. I mean, this gushy kitten guy coming in for the Colts and just instantly like breaking up a crucial Rishi Rice catch, like immediately and just making a tackle. On his first play. This was a stars and scrubs game. It's like Jonathan Taylor gets two touchdowns. Kenneth Walker is everywhere. Patrick Mahomes. Like, and then you have gushy can you Laquan Treadwell, who I believe was out of the NFL period for two years. I can't believe he was playing in this game. I mean, you know, it's not so fun, but like when these guys can't make a team, like they try and try and keep working out and they don't usually ever get back. Laquan Treadwell was straight up, did not have a target. He had three targets in the NFL since 2022. And he was crucial. Do you know what the odds are of playing? And I would like to know this. I don't know it off the top of my head. Like what are the odds of any given prospect? Take it in the first round, say that plays 11 years in the league. This is Treadwell's 11th year. I'm like, he has defied the odds. He's probably like the 1% of players drafted in the first round that play for 11 years. So anyways, it's just kind of fascinating that he was in there making big plays. That was obviously partly because Alec Pierce got hurt, which it sucks, but it's just, It's like not surprising kind of like the whole offseason that he had, the injury, the late surgery, or waiting to see if he needed surgery and then. The whole Alec Pierce signs, goes in Pat McAfee, it signs at noon, 12 on the dot, goes in Pat McAfee for free agency at 12.01, and it's like, we're so happy. And then two weeks later, it's like, by the way, I needed surgery on my ankle the entire time, not healthy for training camp, gets injured tonight. And Collinsworth immediately noted, it changes the Colts' offense a ton. I don't know. Yeah, that's too bad about Pierce. But then, you know, so if he's gone, then Keenan Allen seems like he'll get suspended at some point. So it's going to be Josh Townsend, a lot of Laquan Treadmill for the Colts. But then the Chiefs defense played great. I mean, again, other guys, like, I mean, Noel, I mean, LeGarrius Sneed being back for the Chiefs has totally reinvigorated the secondary. Noel Williams, like George Karloftis is playing great. I don't know. The Chiefs, they do feel like a Super Bowl team again. I know that's a stupid thing to say, but I don't just mean like Mahomes is back. They have the interior offensive line. They have cornerbacks. Again, punching the ball out. Like, I know that the ball ended up not counting, but the Chiefs are making plays on defense again. You know what I mean? Like, they feel like they have all the little things they need to actually win the Super Bowl. I agree. They have the juice. They just need to stay healthy. I mean, they still feel thin. It's like if Kenneth Walker pulls his hamstring, I'm like, uh-oh. Like, you know, it's like Xavier Worthy. Every time he gets hit, it seems like he, I thought he hurt his shoulder on that deep incompletion. And then I think, I guess he didn't. And he came back in the game. And you have Rasheed Rice. And it's like, they do still feel like everyone needs to be on the field. They're not like the Niners, where like for some reason they could just make it work with like college kids out there. But yeah, I agree. They look great. Okay. Anything else on Sunday Night Football? I just think the Ken Walker thing can't be understated. Hyphens, you brought it up. It's like it changes the way defensives have to play them. It just changes sort of like the gravity of how you can, you know, play Patrick Mahomes and like too high stuff. You have to respect the run more. Like it's just, it is really consequential. He has over 170 scrimmage yards in both games to start the season, which he never had 170 in any game with the Seahawks. And so I just think he looks, he is a game changer for them. Craig, to your point though, if he gets hurt, it could really hurt them. Although I do really like this Emmett Johnson guy. He looks really good. I think it's a good, I think the Kenneth Walker thing is a good example of like the conditional nature of paying star running backs and how when it's the last piece of the puzzle, it can change the entire team. But when it's the first, it can be the worst pick you make or the worst contract you give out. Like giving Kenneth Walker to a team like the chief with my homes where everything is set and you need that one more piece of explosiveness. Great. Throwing Jeremiah love on a Cardinals team is like not exactly going to make a huge difference. Right? Josh Dubow at the athletic had the stat. Ken Walker is the first chiefs play with back-to-back games of 175 scrimmage yards since Larry Johnson in 2005, which was, was a legendary season to Mahomes Mahomes looks like Mahomes. Yeah. He had, he had 382 yards and three touchdowns tonight. The other person I want to shout out is Khalil Benson, the undrafted free agent rookie left tackle that I was kind of prepared to pin the entire chief season on. If it went wrong, it's like, why are they leaving it up to this guy? And he's been fine. And I kind of just think, honestly, all these NFL teams whiffed on Indiana weirdly, even though Mendoza obviously was the first pick because the combo of Kalen black, not being invited to the NFL combine and then the starting left tackle for Mendoza and a 15 and O championship team doesn't get drafted. And I'm like, clearly they didn't have years of scouting on all these FCS guys that ended up going from FCS to undefeated in like two years. And so I don't know what, why, but for whatever reason, the chiefs just have like another tackle that's serviceable that they didn't even have to take in the draft. But anyway, let's get to the rest of the, the games. A lot of rain, a lot of injuries, kind of a slog. Brutal lot of injuries. Yeah. Craig, winners, losers. I don't know who wants to start positive. Who's your first winner of the day or loser. Honestly, it was kind of, it was kind of a, it was kind of a slog of a day. It was a slog of a day. Week one was a lot of points, a lot of fireworks. Week two was a lot of injuries, a lot of slop, a lot of wet mess. And there was, there was no weather in this game. And yet it felt like there should have been my biggest loser of the day. And a team I want to spend 10 minutes screaming at is the Los Angeles chargers who lost 26 to 14 to the Raiders. They're Owen too. Jim Harbaugh has never gone Owen too in college or pros. They might go Owen nine. When you look at their schedule, I thought this team was, this team was horribly is horribly coached. That's where I want to start. This team is horribly coached. They are getting penalties left and right. Max Crosby abused Joe alt. They had no answer for that. They have the second most offensive penalties in the league. They still don't look right. Offensively. Everything's a mess. Herbert had worse stats versus the Raiders than Malik Willis did last week. And, you mentioned this yesterday or last week you were like kind of like I am. I'm kind of leaning away from Justin Herbert here. Dude, I think I have to too. He has a little bit of Baker in him where he tries to do too much and he holds onto the ball too long and he's always trying to make the best play. And I feel like he actually kind of is bad in the pocket has bad pocket presence. His arm is amazing. He can make any throw, but I think the way he thinks the way he moves in the pocket sometimes is stupid and it has its lack of awareness. I really feel that way. And I don't know if that's just cause him trying to make a play. He's so big and strong. He thinks he can just like fend people off and stiff arm them, which he tried to do today and then fumbled. But this team is an absolute embarrassment. Do you agree with that DK that Herbert has bad pocket presence? I think so. I think I don't know about, yeah, like I will say, I think he's a little mechanical and like labored in the way that he goes through things in the pocket, like where it just feels sometimes slow and he just like a B behind. In terms of where he needs to be. And of course, like you kind of forget that stuff when he can make these rocket throws down the field or whatever. But yeah, I tend to agree. Like it, sometimes it just looks like he's a beat slow on stuff and that's like a huge deal. Obviously it's also a huge deal. And this is, and I agree everything you said it's, there are other things that are compounding with, with the chargers. It's not just Herbert. Herbert's been bad, but like you mentioned all, he had like four holding penalties or something in this game, including one in the end zone, which went for a safe, D if you're all pro tackle is like fucking up. Like that's not a good sign. Omar and Hampton. I don't, I still don't know if he's good. Like on half of his runs, I'm like, this guy is a fricking runaway beer truck. He looks awesome. When he's running downhill, he's running through guys breaking tackles. He is really hard to take down. And then other times I'm like, I don't, I don't know if he's good. It's kind of the Derek Henry thing. Derek Henry has proven it over the years that he's amazing. But there's times where I'm like, he can't even break a tackle. He can't, he can't get past this guy. He can't get past this guy. And, and then Hampton fumbled in this game. Everyone fumbled. They had six. They're just fucking sloppy. Like it's to your point. The, the, the coaching is not there because they're so sloppy and it's, it feels like they're, you know, it's all snowballing on them. They, and everybody's trying too hard. Everybody's pressing and they just suck. So this game, so the charges, so again, the charges lost 26 to 14 to the Raiders. Yeah. Or Austin Gale is probably freaking out. I know. So, but it's the second consecutive, the charges lost 26 to 14 and it's to the Raiders and the Cardinals who both won three games last year and combined or, or tied for the worst record in the NFL. Those were their first two opponents. Now they have the hardest stretch that any team has in the entire NFL for the next nine weeks. Do you think real quick, do you think the schedule makers were like, fuck, we got to give, we got to give this team all these bad, like really, really tough games. The, we'll just do it to the chargers. Cause everyone expects them to fall apart. Throw me a fricking, do you want me to read off their next couple of their next schedule? It is worth reading. Every time you look at it, it is pretty incredible. Okay. Next two weeks at Buffalo at Seattle, they come back home against Denver and then they have to go to Kansas city and play the chiefs. Then they play, they have their buy and then they play at the Rams. Well, I guess it's the same place, but, um, and then they have Houston and Baltimore. Would you say it's like a 50, 50 shot there? Oh, and nine. No, not. Oh, and nine. But like I, if they win one, if they win, two games, I'll be pretty surprised. Two and seven. I will. I'll say this. I, I don't quite agree with you guys about the Herbert thing. I think that that's dramatic. I mean, Quentin Johnson dropped a bat. I mean, what else is new? Quentin Johnson dropped one pass. Herbert looked, Herbert played like shit today. Like that's fair enough, but I'm saying, but he also threw a pick. He dropped the ball on David and joke. Who's lap that he did a Mark Andrews and volleyball set at the past into someone else's arms. But like to your point, the game should have been worse. Six fumbles. They recovered all but one. I was going to say Herbert. Also how to fumble. The charges got a gift from God where it was third and long. Herbert fumbles the ball forward. It probably should have been an incomplete pass. I don't know why Kubiak didn't challenge that. It was going to, it should have forced a fourth and long. Instead, it was a fourth and one. Then Vegas has 12 men on the field. So they get a first down out of a timeout, which is quietly the worst coaching they had all day. And then O'Marion Hampton fumbles. And I'm like, this team can't get out of its own way. But, but the truth is Kirk cousins outplayed Justin Herbert today like that. And Clint Kubiak out, coach the chargers. And I did have an intrusive thought watching this charges, uh, chargers team. Well, nevermind the, this is not intrusive. This is just the thought of like, obviously Mike, the Mike McDaniel thing, we're going to have to, at some point just be like, all right, what were we just all conning ourselves? Did he con us? Did we con ourselves? What's going on? But I did have an intrusive thought, which was, you know, how last year, now that you see what happened with Mike McDonald winning the Superbowl and the Ravens moving on from John Harbaugh, clearly the, should have fired John Harbaugh and hired Mike McDonald. a couple years ago, right? Sure. Yeah. What? Well, my intrusive thought is maybe the Chargers should have hired Jesse Minter. Oh, I see. Oh, yeah. He's saying like, wait, Jesse Minter's. He's like young, hard-coming defensive coordinators. They should have hired their head coaches and hired them. Yes, maybe both Harbaugh guys were kind of coasting on the credentials of like Mike McDonald and Jesse Minter and these younger defensive coordinators have kind of been propping up the system when they had Lamar Jackson and Herbert and maybe the Harbaugh's had kind of been sitting atop this thing that they weren't really, you know, like you see what like the Chargers. The Ravens lost today, by the way, just for the record. Well, yeah, they. Sure. In horrific fashion, but yeah. I know. Well, I said it was an intrusive thought. I don't know if it's a good take. No, that's fair. I just kept thinking about it. This is less than an intrusive thought. This is kind of maybe just, you know, too obvious and a little cliche or whatever, but the idea that Madison Beer is at fault here is very funny to kind of explore. Herbert was great when he was a virgin. No, I'm like, dude, I remember in high school, my basketball coach, he said something along the lines of like, I don't want you going home and getting comforted by your girlfriends. Like, you guys got to like feel this loss and like internalize it. Chastity belt the whole season. Have it really feel like you got to like really, you know, like get to know this hurt and this anger or something like that. He's like, I don't want you going home and getting. It's like how fighters can't. Don't ejaculate before a fight. Exactly, yeah. And I'm like, I'm just thinking like, I know this is like probably not really the case, but like Herbert has been really bad. Well, here's the thing, DK. He doesn't have to go home to be comforted because she was right there on the practice field twirling his hair. He's right there. Herbert to me is like, he's like one of those souped up stereo systems that never works. Where it's like from like 2008, and it's like, no, no, I got all the bells and whistles. It's like, look, it surrounds sound. It's going to sound incredible. And then every time you try, you try to set it up. It's like, why isn't it working? I don't understand. The little remote, like it doesn't work. Some cord's not plugged in right. You invite your friends over, it's not working. And they're like, can't we just use the normal speaker? And you're like, no, no, no. Trust me. It's like incredible. It's like the craziest thing you've ever heard. Trust me. It's like PC load letter. What the fuck is that? Soundbar, it's an under options. That's what he's like, where it's like technically, when you're at Best Buy, unbelievable when you see the system. When you take it home, not for me. It's good. I also, you got me thinking now about the fighters and then not, I guess. It's not even, it's not even just the ejaculation or not. It's just, you're not like focused on the loss. You're going home and you're like, yeah, it'll be fine. I get to go home to a Madison beer. Right. You should be going to the gym. Did you guys see on the broadcast, they talked about how O'Marion Hampton puts ranch dressing on his spaghetti. That is also a red flag because every now and then you remember these guys are literally 21 years old. I like it. I think that's cool. I want that. I want that out of my running back. He's like, he's like buddy, the elf. I'm like, whatever. If he likes it, it sounds maybe a little bit. It's kind of good to be honest. We'll sprinkle that in my bite of spaghetti. It's probably decent. No, I like that. You're pretending that you'd entertain this, but if we went to it, I would try it. I would try it. No, you wouldn't. I a hundred percent would try it. Ranch dressing on a bite of spaghetti sounds totally fine to me. How is it that different from ranch dressing on a slice of pizza? It's like, it's like gluten and tomato sauce. I can't figure out your eating style. I can't figure out your eating habits because you hate when there's an IHOP commercial for French toast. You're disgusted. Pasta's not bready. Think about this. Pasta is basically bread, sauce, and cheese. What is pizza? Bread, sauce, and cheese. Ranch is fine on pizza. It's not that crazy. The texture's a little different. Yeah, sure. Texturally. I don't think it's that crazy. I'm just going to say that. It sounds trashier than perhaps it is. Okay. I can't figure you out. That's good. I was going to keep you guessing. I know. I never would have in a million years guessed Craig would defend that. Well, I don't, I'm not saying I would eat that every day. I'm just like, eh, try a bite of it. That's like what I would, that's something I would defend, Craig. You should be ashamed of yourself. Don't judge me. I do overall think though, the Chargers, we should be incredibly concerned with this team. They stink. Yeah. They're awful. I'm glad I jumped off after week one. Thank God. I'm very close to jumping off. Now's the time to buy back in, Craig. No one will see it coming. Well, I was going to say, do I, anyone here believe that they're a buy low? I mean, I know the answer is probably, I do not know. It can't be any worse, but no, no, it can be worse. Now they start playing good teams. Yeah. They literally, these two teams that just beat them 26 to 14. Each were literally tied for the worst record in the, and credit to the Raiders. The Kubiak coach, a good game. Kirk Cousins, I can hear Austin screaming like they played well, but the Chargers played worse. I also have to shout out. This is from Opta stats. The Chargers are the second team in NFL history to lose back-to-back games by double digits, both coming at home against teams that had a, you know, winning percentage under 20% last year. The only other team to do that was the 1926 Racine Tornadoes who played one more game before folding. Before folding. They should fold the Chargers. They folded the Racine Tornadoes. They ended their life. They're like, you know what? We should just give up. Yeah. If the Chargers lose next week, 26-14, the Chargers should fold. We lost to the guy who can't think. The guy who can't think said something. That's what, that's where the Chargers are right now. Dude, I went on the, I went on the, I went on the Wikipedia for the Racine Tornadoes and it said that they were founded in 1916, but they had to take a break because of World War I and then the Spanish flu. Right, right. That's the fucking team. The only other team that did this. The Chargers are like the Spanish flu. All right, let's go positive now. Yeah, DK, you got, you got to win. I'll give my winner of the week to the, to the Bengals. I think the Bengals look like a whole different team this year, especially on defense where they are dramatically improved at least through two weeks. Dexter Lawrence looking like maybe one of the most impactful offseason acquisitions any team had, as you remember, and Heifetz to his everlasting chagrin. They traded the 10th overall pick, I believe, for Dexter Lawrence and through two weeks, the Bengals, their fifth in pressures, tied for first in sacks, sixth in QB hits, and there's a stat havoc rate. I don't know if Nate, Tyce made this up or if he just passing along, but I've heard him talking about it. It's basically the percentage of plays with a tackle for a loss, forced fumble pass, breakup, intersection, interception, or sack. So basically plays that create havoc on defense. They're ninth last year, they were 30th and in all those other stats, they're like 23rd or, or worse last year. Um, and so weird. I wonder what changed. Yeah, this defense man. And they also got Boya Mafe who's, who's continuing to make plays. Um, I don't know. This defense looks a lot better to me and they started fast. They're two and oh this year. Um, overall has never started to an oh yeah, they've always been famously, well, they kind of did last year, but at what cost, what do you mean? Um, anyways, but I think they did last year, but the Gerber got hurt. I don't believe they were, no, they weren't to know all their, all their seasons blend together to me. What's that? Oh, you're right. They were, they were in 2025. My bad. Um, Jamar chase made though, cause he's still healthy. Jamar chase made maybe the catch of the year. Great for her in the second game that they won last, last year. Anyway, it doesn't matter because Jake Browning came in and finished that game and won that guy. So technically has Joe bro ever started to an oh, I don't know. He hasn't finished to an oh, well, you're not supposed to finish. We learned that that's, that's the entire problem. That's why Justin Herbert can't be to an oh, that's right. The important part is that you're right. DK, that Dexter Lawrence is, the changing the Bengals and I'm upset that the giants traded him. He had the crazy play on fourth and one where he just shot into the backfield, made a big tackle. Um, yeah, I don't know. I've just been really impressed with that. By the way, they beat Houston 20 to six. I don't know what's going on with Houston. Are you guys starting to worry a little bit about Houston own too? Yeah. Yeah. They're bad. Okay. They're all, they had David Montgomery and Woody. Mark's had 18 rushing yards today. Combined Montgomery is a real puzzler because he had three touchdowns last week and one, everybody who had him probably their, their week one and was the worst player on their roster this week. And it's, it's unfortunately, I think closer to today is going to be the real David Montgomery. Uh, and once again, it looks like the third and long Texans are back. Also no, Nico Collins kills them. They're just in a tough spot. And the Texans and chargers, not that they're that similar, but like I do their teams that the offensive line in the lieu of like fixing it jumbled a lot of the interior pieces, hoping it would, it would work. And it kind of didn't charge the least loss of center. But look at the Texans and they kind of smooth stuff around there. Like this will be better. And then obviously Nico Collins is out. Jaden Higgins towards ACL tank tells energy reserve. And so they got Xavier Hutchinson. Who's like means well, but kind of can't catch. They have NPCs out there means well, he means well, he means well, but like meanest, that's the meanest thing you can say about a NFL wide receiver. He means, no, the meanest thing I'd say means well, he's really out there trying, you know, I mean, his insult was for people like Mitchell Trubisky. When I say bless his heart, that's always like, that's the meanest thing I have to say, but like you look at the Texans and what would you try to do? Run the ball. You know what they did? CJ Stroud through 55 times. And that's not a good thing. And so it was just that they, they can't move. They cannot get out of their own way. And they're always in third and long. And it's somehow worse than it was before. And yeah, they were fit and just they're physically being dominated. And also the Texans offensive line, sorry, the Texans defensive line didn't really beat the Bengals offensive line as much as you would think. Marius Milms held up well, tackle. I mean, the Texas defense is not special i mean it's hard when jamar chase is beating derrick stingley never mind um reed blankenship but overall like i mean the texans scored six goddamn points it's going to be tough for anybody to beat that jamar chase jamar chase catch this year that was that was one of the better catches i don't know how i got his feet in yeah he's he's he's exactly what was promised we were joking the other day people that like match the hype you know he's not like like lebron james match the hype but jamar chase is the like he's kind of like if marvin what we thought marvin harrison jr would be as disappointing as marvin harrison jr would be jamar chase was like he's the best receiver prospect in 10 years it's exactly what he's been he's been that way since the moment he walked in the nfl dude that play was like pure like reaction like he turned around so late and tracked it and caught it and spun like that was it was there was no anticipation to that he just like reacted and did it it was unbelievable you know those old fantasy football commercials where chris cooley would like punch through a wall and like plywood and catch it and then they had like laurence broney jumping through a car yeah yeah yeah and uh maybe yeah yeah yeah and uh mason crosby kicked the bell and uh he kicked the football to the bell of a school tower bell tower or something like it kind of looked like that where he just turned around and just like instantly like just finding it alone was amazing yeah yeah god he's sick okay we just need to stay healthy two and oh bangles again dexter lawrence dk i think you nailed it being able to stop david montgomery and fourth and one that completely changed the entire game and if they can do that in the playoffs like yeah like i can see dexter lawrence stopping derrick and fourth and one of the playoffs um my loser for today has to be the chicago bears and washington commanders for their cool quarterbacks yeah it's tough and everyone who has these guys i mean so bears lost to the vikings nine to three this was a total slog this was just an unbelievable slog and then we can get into the game but caleb williams was carted off with a hamstring injury i thought it was at acl like i was on the cart his reaction was quite dramatic i mean he was he was you could hear him on mike screaming and what seems like extreme pain and i was like oh man this is like achilles or some knee ligament this is a scenario it seems like it's a grade one hamstring strain well there's well the part that shocked me was courtney crone at espn wrote that caleb was walking through the locker room under his own power while media members were there did not have a wrap around his leg which that shocked me and yeah mike florio went on nbc and said it might be a grade one which i'm like that's what i did at my bachelor party at grade one and i'm like like my friend mike's bachelor party i'm like i grade one i mean my scream was nowhere near as loud as that so it feels like he's gonna miss maybe a couple of games obviously the fear immediately was like oh he's done for the season uh maybe this is like career altering type deal but now and now i'm like oh okay so he's he's gonna be okay he'll be back in a couple of weeks tyson bajan i think is a back he's a pretty good backup and they love him whether or not he's good the bears love tyson bajan yeah and so this is gonna be fun to see how uh ben johnson can kind of flex his muscle with tyson bajan for a week or two by the way i i know that it was like rainy and it was the vikings and they were blitzing like crazy again and things were all over the place but this was not a very impressive game for ben johnson i didn't think so to state the obvious the bears scored 59 points last week and scored three points today and then so lack a bunch of people this espn stat that the 56 points drop off week to week is the most impressive game in the history of football the biggest point differential drop off since 1973 for an offense and then if you want more you know advanced stat ben johnson's called 70 plays or games as a play caller between the lions and bears and uh this one ranked 69th out of 70 success rate there was like zero caleb i couldn't do anything in the pocket every single play he was rolling out trying to make something happen there was very little stuff that was happening in structure for the bears yeah and it was raining craig's greatest football player in the history of football for the bears yeah and it was raining craig's greatest football observation is probably that uh you can't see the rain you can't see how hard it's during the games yeah so it's never accurately accounted for but i think the game came down to this the bears had 14 plays in the red zone and they had three points and the vikings i believe had one play in the red zone and they got nine points and so the to me the game kind of came down to four plays like or three really deandre swift fumbles at the one yard line and then the cost of the bear seven touchdown it was first and goal at the one and swift loses a fumble say this poor sam roush guy this tight end on the bears brookie drops yeah it drops i don't i hesitate to call it a drop because it got hit by two vikings it was more like you could have caught it ball right at the one that probably was a touchdown that's 14 and then probably his fault that the right after caleb got hurt which that might have been a touchdown the vikings blocked a field goal it's like 23 yards you almost never see a 23 yard field goal blocked because you can kick it so high and so sam roush got a touchdown and then he got a touchdown which was probably his fault that the field goal got blocked so that so like that's 21 points or at least 17 and on just those three plays so it was a small margin game but um carson wentz didn't turn it over other than the one interception he threw that the bears dropped right in their face but i have to know and lead the division and a very weird division that suddenly looks a lot more toothless than i thought it was going to yeah yeah the colston loveland one catch three yards we'll get on the year we'll get there yeah uh yeah but uh and then obviously washington jayden daniels so what cowboys beat washington 37 20 and jayden daniels guys i think jayden daniels is officially rg5 right uh this isn't this is so brutal uh he dislocated his left elbow again um i don't know why he keeps trying to brace himself like that i guess it's just kind of like he's falling to the ground i know but it's like this had the same ball in it what do you want him to do hit his face on the ground i don't want him to dislocate his fucking elbow for the second time that's all play he got stepped on what's he supposed to do fall on the elbow it just looked like this it looked like the same type of thing that happened last time is he gonna have to play with like a jj watt bionic elbow thing for the rest of the year right yeah so he dislocated the elbow last year against seattle in early november missed a few games and they're like everyone's like just put him out the season's over just don't bring him back they're like he won't hurt the elbow game he won't hurt it don't worry came back last year immediately hurt his elbow again so they're like fine so then he comes back and now it's two weeks into the season and he hurt the elbow again and it was kind of innocuous because the center just tripped him basically he didn't get hit the center tripped him and he like it was was non it was not non-contact but it wasn't like the way you think it would happen again and so we'll see what happens i don't know if he's gonna need surgery or not we'll see about all that but like this is kind of officially a problem like this is the third time this has happened and i don't know if he's gonna need surgery or not but like this is the third time this has happened and i don't know if he's gonna need a papadome in his last like four games basically well and you're now like okay you're starting to look at this washington season as like perhaps another lost season so you're now heading into year four of jayden daniels next year hoping that finally we can get things back on track and now he has this you know recurring elbow injury that feels like the more you injure the easier it is to injure it again and it sucks because he was playing pretty well i thought in the game that's what's tough is they almost beat the eagles last week and they were in that dallas game until he got hurt yeah he's i believe jayden daniels has played at dallas three times and hasn't finished any of the games oh really yeah so i i it's concerning and that i just washington i fan even before this happened i think washington fans were really depressed about this season now it's over it's a it is just extremely over i mean k trot in garbage time the third string running back fat man alan basically trucked their best offensive lineman and that was like a brutal that was a brutal hit the way that whole thing went down because cosme had like turned around and basically was facing alan they just ran into each other and then uh cosme kind of he just went down like and took off his helmet and then just like fell over it was really like crazy looking yeah i i just i think these two teams are losers it's not as bad as i thought because i did i'm shocked that caleb williams is like yeah we'll see exactly what the diagnosis is but the fact that he could be back in two or three weeks of the backers would kind of blow my mind but either way i feel like these teams have to be the losers but dk do you have another winner um let me see i think craig does oh yeah i do um i want to talk about the saints the saints are a winner for me they beat the ravens today 24 17 and i imagine a lot of the dialogue around this game will be about the ravens collapse and perhaps rightly so but i do want to just shout out the saints the comeback kid saints who last week were down 21 to 0 in the third quarter ended up tying the game taking it to overtime and had a two or two point completion way of winning that game on the road and then this week down 17 to 9 with six minutes left in the fourth quarter on the road come back and win today tyler shuck in the fourth quarter 12 for 14 119 yards two touchdowns get the win through two weeks tyler shuck is the number five quarterback in fantasy and he leads the nfl in passing yards is that right damn yeah the media won't tell you that after the i haven't checked since my homes but he's either first or second they're playing great and what we talked about is the fact that they're playing great and they're playing great and what we talked about in the offseason is like could this be the colts yeah um it's happening a little bit chris alave has been absolutely fantastic this year devon bailey's been really good juwan johnson they're struggling to run the ball a little bit but this is like a really condensed machine that seems to be like hitting the ground running in year two with shuck he looks good yeah there's like a there's almost like a little element of what we saw from the bears last year where it's like every game you just never know what's going to happen in the fourth quarter they have these heroics that they can pull out um tyler shuck he is just way better than the i thought he would be coming into the league i think you know i kind of pictured him as a derrick carr type quarterback which is funny that he was drafted by the saints where he's too cautious con falling away from throws constantly throwing the ball away i think i remember he had like led the he like college football and throwaways his final year he's an older prospect there was just a lot of reasons that i was like i just don't really want to bet on this guy but he has really surprised me he's he's looked really good he and um they're obviously rallying around him and he's this is always a good thing i feel like a really good sign for a quarterback is like you feed your top player and you just relentlessly throw it to him and and chris alave uh it has been absolutely bananas good this year and so um yeah i i've been really impressed with shuck obviously that first half against the lions he looked horrible um but ever since then i thought that he's been really impressive all right and chris alave i think is playing better with shuck but he's also just he's playing better with the guardian cap and chris alave said that the guardian cap makes him less anxious and says that he actually just feels you like better play and more secure playing with the guardian cap and it like doesn't weigh on him and i feel like that i mean you don't hear players admit that very often but i mean you can kind of see it in his game like he is like a more assertive player like he's he's been frankly he's been pretty dominant this season and even since that like the end of last year was shuck but this year he's just been exceptional he's probably the least famous great wide receiver in the league it's like him yeah collins there's a couple guys chris alave is very very good and when you watch him he does jump off the bench and he's like oh my god he's like oh my god he's like oh my god he's like oh the screen but very little notoriety nationally the i want to ask you guys about the tyler shuck quarterback sneak play touchdown where basically it ended up oh yeah basically being the deciding play of the game first of all do you guys think you got it it was weird because people were not sure if tyler shuck got in but he was 1000 face masked and probably didn't get in because he was grabbed by the top of his face back and just pulled backwards like they were trying to break his head off like like they were trying to decapitate him like they were trying to decapitate him i love that that's not reviewable why is that not reviewable well that's the thing is i think a lot of ravens fans are really mad and they're like well shuck there's no evidence shuck got in the end zone i'm like one i don't think you should overturn the call because like oh there's a little smidgen but i'm like you know can i just say they got the call right i don't care if he didn't get it like this is a rare situation you're just making up new rules no but i'm like if you're like ah it's close i'm like you know what's not close he got face masked if there's if it's like within a freaking millimeter and you're trying to like zapruder film gets a quarterback sneak through a thousand bodies and everything it's like you leave the call as is i agree even if you think there's a chance he didn't get in he was face masked that's why he didn't get in use some fucking common sense i don't think he got in in either one so i think it's the truth is if you're sitting there come on whatever just because face mask not reviewable use your common sense and be like give him the guy i think the touchdown was called don't overturn it yeah okay i love the who cares uh i i think deep whatever you want if if you know if you want to defend it it's that there's no there was not really definitive proof he didn't get in even though i don't think he got in but that's fine there's like some joke there that i can't think of can i something was there is it in like a mclovin joke or something um i do want to mention about the ravens this is the since lamar jackson became a full-time starter which is the most in the nfl chargers east also 11 of those are home derrick henry had five carries in the second half and they were leading 14-3 at half that is that i i don't understand that that's like a that blows my mind roger rosegarden who is the uh right tackle for the raven said i can't remember the last time we won at home i'm like that's a bad thing to say the ravens are so weird because lamar had one truly terrible pass the pick that basically ended the game um even that one i'm like bateman was stopped running what was he doing but i'm like the ravens are weird because whenever they have these losses like i don't know why they happened i'm like they played well lamar played well everything looked good they were moving the ball in chunks and then they just lost and i don't i totally agree why i the the derrick henry five carries at halftime the five carries after halftime thing i'm like isn't that why you have him like that's the whole point and it's weird because i guess that they're probably i think the saints were kind of daring them to throw because they just ran out of receivers because tez walker's out zay flowers missed this game jacoby lane missed this game so the ravens just kind of ran out of receivers and you know what happened they tried to take shots and basically the saints dared them and you know what the saints were right because lamar missed chris moore for a wide open touchdown on third and one and then he'd go for it fourth and one and i get that it's a declan doyle thing which is a ben johnson thing which is instead of like second one being the play fuck it if you're gonna go for a fourth down treat third and one like the shot play but then they didn't go for it on fourth down and they just missed it i don't know it it the just it's deja vu for this team like it literally is just there's been 12 of these losses there was there was a lot of uh wow week one feels like a really long time ago moments uh today and the ravens was one of them i was like damn the ravens look so dominant week one i thought they're gonna be fucking amazing all year and then they just like how how much are you afraid that the ravens and lamar looking absolutely dominant was because the cults experimented with giving a safety the green dot play call which they immediately revoked the next game yeah feels super relevant sure it's a good point just uh something to something tap this ad to see new joint data and learn more about trim fire including important safety information okay let's get the problem of the day no craig it's not a problem it's a problem it's a problem guys jsn is a problem he is an absolute problem out there uh with drew lock at quarterback for all but one series of the seahawks season jsn has already racked up 277 yards and four touchdowns he had nine catches 155 yards and three touchdowns today against the cardinals this motherfucker's doing it with drew lock it don't matter he's insanely good i if if jamar chase didn't exist i would feel very strongly that no one is better at receiver right now than jackson smith and jig but he is so good at everything he's so good at everything i love the uh on like his first touchdown he just got loose down the field and you're like oh coverage bust or something but then you see the replay and it's a really subtle like head fake like he was like he pretended he was gonna run like an out route near the sticks and then he just juked the hell out of the corner got downfield and it's like i don't know and i feel like you see two or three of these every game where he has these really subtle route running moves that just can get corners completely turned around he moves differently than everybody he's just so like his feet are just so in contact with the ground he's always balanced and he can and he can you know turn and and defeat coverage so easily his shoulders are always parallel right yeah that's the other thing he's with that that's the other thing he's talked about is like yeah you never give away anything with your shoulders or whatever and so he he's just really really crafty at receiver and he catches everything um and he has like a 50 target rate this year through like two games so um man again i'll like i i recognize i think jamar chase is probably still holding the belt for best receiver in the nfl but i think json is fucking close one of my biggest regrets is thinking that he would regress without Kubiak. JSN was my favorite player in the league last year. I had him on my team, and I was completely in love with him, and I didn't draft him this year, and I feel like a moron. Well, this is why fantasy football is funny. Sometimes if you got half the information, you'd be more wrong, not more right. If I told you Sam Darnold would have a hip injury immediately, like the 10th snap or the 5th snap of the season. And he'll miss a month. The first series. Drew Locke's going to play. You'd be like, oh, okay, I'm going to move JSN out of the first round. For sure. You wouldn't move him up. It's just, it's so funny how it goes. I also, sometimes I feel bad where I'm like, man, I wish we could predict how this goes. And then you're like, oh yeah, wait, the real NFL Jackson Smith and Jigba was the 20th pick in the draft. Like Washington took Emmanuel Forbes, a cornerback who weighs 160 pounds over Jackson Smith and Jigba. In retrospect, I just don't understand. You were there with me when the Seahawks drafted and Jigba. I was like dancing. Yes. I was like, oh my God. We're like three picks away. We might get JSN. And I couldn't believe it. I could not believe that they let him fall to the Seahawks. Shane Waldron wouldn't let this man run downfield. I was thinking about that today when they were, they were like showing JSN on the sideline, just kind of taking it in. He's sitting on the sideline, chilling out three touchdowns, 155 yards. And I was like, I can, I still cannot believe the only, the only time they ever brought this man in when he was a rookie was to run like some stupid screen. Craig, who's your problem? Well, my problem is, the only guy in the NFL who has more fantasy points than JSN, which is Josh Allen. Josh Allen is a problem right now. Yeah. We're rewinding back to Thursday night. The Bills beat the Lions 41-31. This was a game of pure fantasy bliss. This was like the grand finale firework show of fantasy performance. Everyone was just popping off. It was like Gibbs and Amon were on. It was just points, points, points. The game was always just close enough where you like, couldn't slow down. It was incredible. Josh Allen, 248, eight yards passing 72 rushing five total touchdowns, zero turnovers. He had 40 fantasy points. And then he sits down and does the post game. And you find out he had the flu. I actually didn't hear that part. That's awesome. Shivering in a tub before the game. And he went and put up 40 fantasy points. It's, it's awesome because this, this usually doesn't happen, but Josh Allen is the best player in the NFL and the best player in fantasy. So it's finally aligning, which you don't, you know, my home's probably had that for a little bit, but sometimes they're like receivers or running backs. That you kind of need to be ahead of them. It is 100% Josh Allen is the best player in fantasy. He has nine touchdowns to the first two bills games. He's averaging 38 fantasy points per game, which is the highest scoring first two weeks of a season since the year 2000. And I'm only stopping there just because that's when true media started tracking stats. So he's basically having the best two weeks in the history of fantasy football. Is there anything you regret more than not having Josh Allen is like our 15th player and being like, fuck it. I regret not having him fifth. Yeah. Right. I just, Josh, when Josh Allen's put something in off season brain, he's like, don't take the coolest player in the world. And then the season starts to like, man, I wish I had the coolest player in the world. And it's also one of those things where it doesn't feel like fluky and it's going to stop or anything like that. You know, I think I had that feeling a little bit with the B John week one, where I was like, yeah, like it was awesome, but he's probably not going to do this every week, especially with the quarterback situation. Then we saw what happened. Probably because that team has never, hasn't seen the red zone. They have yet to go. Into the red zone. But with Josh Allen, I'm like, he could do this every week. It wouldn't surprise me whatsoever. He is, he is the player in all my leagues. And I, and I think it's been this, this way for a couple of years. He's, he's the player in all my leagues where like he could be your only good player and you still have a chance to win the fucking league. Like you could have a piece of shit roster. And if you have Josh Allen, you're like, I can compete. I can do this. Dude. If you were down 35 points going into a game with Josh Allen, the last two weeks, you won. Like, that's just so insane that he is good enough to where if you're down 35, maybe even 40 points, you're like, I have a shot. By the way, Craig, uh, never wrong. Only early Josh Palmer. Josh Palmer is looking pretty good right now. I'm doing the, the janitor, Michael Jordan guy. I'm, I don't know what to tell you. Two touchdowns, two games. He's Josh, Josh Palmer still somehow 26 years old. That's not right. Yes. He turns 27 on Tuesday. Well, DJ Morris hurt. Yeah. Uh, so that he might actually have a bigger role than, than we were expecting. It doesn't sound severe, but yeah, good teams retain good players. Josh Palmer is a good player. Did we mention that Josh Allen was chewing on a smelling salt? Yeah. Also bad-ass. That was fucking hard. He's like mainlining that shit. It was like, he was like treating it like a cigarette. It was like, just like between his lips and he was like letting it waft up into his nose. Dude, he's actually unstoppable. He's, he's French inhaling or whatever they call it, where it's like, he like blow out your nose or blow your mouth and into your nose. Uh, just with the smelling salts. Uh, Hi, Vince, who's your problem? Who's my problem? I just want to get Bryce young is a problem. And Bryce young used to just be like a problem. Bryce young is a problem. Now he's a problem for the ringer fantasy football league who gave, I cannot believe this. I can, I can believe it. This is how it's supposed to go. It doesn't make sense. This is karmic. We tried to box him out from having any quarterbacks. You guys literally colluded to try to take every single more like just having fun. It was blatant, having fun collusion. Right. But you all agreed to make a pact to behave. And it was collusion. Yeah. It wasn't. You had fun colluding. Um, the funniest thing about this is it is, I believe the perfect example of fantasy football. There were 11 other people who were, who were, who were trying their hardest to pick who they thought would be the best quarterback one after the other, after the other 27 times. And then you got the 28th and he's great. What is it? What, what, what quarterback is he through two weeks? Two second. God damn it. The only player with more, uh, quarterback, more fantasy points in two weeks. Josh Allen, Jackson Smith, the jig and Bryce higher NFL. Hilarious. Dude, Bryce young has been unbelievable. First touchdowns, this rollout touchdowns. And Darren Waller, which was fantastic. The second touchdown, he layered this throw from the pocket between two defenders to Darren Waller. The fact that Darren Waller is even like still in the NFL and all he does is catch touchdowns. He's also just hilarious to me. This man retired with the music video. Cause Kelsey plum divorced him like three years ago and was like pretending to be dead on a beach three years ago. It looked like the beginning of inception. Yeah, literally. And now it's like, he actually is still incredible, but then he, Bryce, you're going to never throw to jail and co-girl on the sideline. That was just like layered. It was just like, as DK has said accurately, you just forget often watching Bryce young that this man did actually deserve to be the number one pick and like had the talent to, he was so talented that people were like, even though he's really small, I get it. Right. Even though it's not like perfect. And he had like Bryce young has been throwing the football this year and you're like, Oh yeah, I forgot that this guy is talented enough throwing that he went first in the draft and the Falcons defense is a little bit better. It's a little toothless. There's a reason the Panthers just, I mean the Panthers destroyed the Falcons that I think the final score. Yeah. The final store is 34 to three and the Falcons are down, I think five defensive lineman after today, but I, Bryce young was incredible. And so I knew that that's why I took him. I think right now, right? Yeah. You had a lot of options. It was him and Aaron Rogers and you decided to take Bryce young. Hi, Vince. Right. That was easy. If you're starting a franchise, they're the same price. No other bells and whistles. It's just quarterback versus quarterback, Bryce, younger, CJ, Stroud. I think it has to be Stroud still, because I feel like if you switched Bryce young on the Texans behind that line and you gave CJ Stroud to Dave can Allison Carolina with again, the offensive line Carolina has, I feel like Stroud would play better because the reason Bryce young is playing well is that Carolina has paid a lot of money to have some big, big beefy Ben up in front of, up in front of like protecting Bryce young and CJ Stroud's offensive line sucks. I'm so disappointed in you. You're not standing behind your guy. This is your guy. You have to, you have to, where's your confidence in him? Come on. Uh, my confidence foisted him upon hyphen saving you every week. You're saying starting a franchise for like the next decade. You just started a franchise and the ringer league with Bryce young. Look, he still looks like a sixth grader when he walks into practice on there, right? It's Dave canalis. It's the hotness of Dave canalis is contagious. It's radiating. It's, you know what I mean? It's, it's the, it's the, it's the, it's the, it's the, you know, he got over the Tyrese maxi thing. You know, it's, I think, I think Bryce, it's doing well. It looks good. The confidence looks good. I will say, I, I do think he looks like the confidence thing is really important. Cause he looks straight up, just shell shocked for the first like two seasons of his career. He looked like he didn't know how to play football. He's having fun again. Yeah. He's having fun. The little, the magic is back. He's made a lot of really like plays that he did in college where he's like spinning out away from pressure, moving outside of the pocket, finding a guy who was lofting up a perfect pass. He's he, that again, like you said, it's, it's what you remember why it was like, not a crazy discussion that he was the first overall pick. And a lot of people had him as the first overall pick. All right. It's so over. We're so back. Craig, who's over. It's over for Aaron Rogers. It's over. You know, the, the only person I like on the Steelers is, is Darnell Washington and Jeremy Bernard. I hate everybody else. You know, the fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, you're cool, that's me. It's like Aaron Rodgers, fuck you off Offensive line, fuck you, Mike McCarthy, fuck you. Jeremy Bernard, you're cool. Darnell Washington, you're cool. This team stinks, and D.K. Metcalf stinks. Oh, he gets a fuck you. D.K. Metcalf can't catch a fucking football. $132 million we're giving him to drop the goddamn football. Steelers are dead last in yards per play through two weeks. I should say they lost 20-3 to the Patriots. They're averaging 3.5 yards per play. They're averaging 11 points per game. Did you note the 4th and 43? Yeah, that was bad. Look. It's like the ball got bobbled or juggled or kicked like five times. This is playing out like Ben Affleck and J-Lo's second marriage, and we all saw this coming. And in the back of my head, what I always said to myself was this. It's either going to go great or horribly, and I think either way that's a good thing. You don't want a middle ground. Lose every game. This is a great year. Have a top-five pick. I would fucking love if the Steelers had a top-five pick. I don't need you to win 10 games with Aaron Rodgers. That's actually a worst-case scenario. Let's put Bench Rodgers after Week 12, put in Drew Aller, and then we'll have a top-five pick. That's what I want. The best part of it was in the postgame presser, Aaron Rodgers, he almost took the blame for something. Like, almost. He was like 98% there, and then he just couldn't quite complete the taking. The blame thing. And he was like, look, you know what? There's a lot of problems, and it's on me. It's on me. I got to get better. I got to go out there and tell the coaches which plays they're calling that are bad. I'm sorry that they suck. It's actually my fault that I'm not being mean enough to the coach for calling bad plays. The actual quote is making – what you said was right. He's like, I got to be better. He's like, making sure Mike McCarthy knows what is working, what is not working so we can call things that have a better chance it took one loss i love it for him to be like mike's calls suck it's it's so clear that he doesn't respect mike mccarthy because he would have never said that about mike tomlin like he just he just didn't speak that way about it he revered tomlin and you can just tell he doesn't give a shit about mike it's so good the problem is like it's actually very simple because i still think if rogers is just standing in a clean pocket i still think he can throw the football he's just too old like he just can't move there's just one problem craig that's very it's very rare he is just too old but like i still it's like i don't think his like arm is cooked he doesn't have like the manning noodle arm like he's still totally fine at throwing the football he's just he's just too old but he it was like ancient will levis today because he was doing dumb stuff like like the game ended i mean never mind the fourth and 43 lost 36 yards in a play which i get it happens but like the way he got rocked and not that it was his fault but like a little like i don't know the the way the blitz game kind of was on him but the uh the he had another one where he stepped up in the pocket and the ball got poked out in a way that he was pretty careless with the football and the way the game like the game not the game ended but like the thing that sealed the game was the sack he just started running backwards you know what i mean and like he's not fast enough to run backwards anymore he just like can't move like that he's like trying to do his little rollouts and they don't work dude russell wilson is that's halftime cbs like why don't you throw d to dk metcalf and my first thought was you know russell wilson just coming in being a firebrand and i'm like oh well well i guess he threw a lot of fucking deep touchdowns i mean there was a reason that there was a reason that i used to defend dk metcalf very like strongly and it was because he had a quarterback like russell wilson who was like just absolutely perfect for his skill set i've i've said this from the beginning i think dk metcalf and aaron rogers is like a terrible combination not that not that that ever made sense but i think dk metcalf is like a terrible combination not that not that that ever made sense spaghetti those two give it a try oh it sucks it doesn't it doesn't absolve it doesn't absolve dk metcalf of the blame of like dropping passes he legitimately can't catch the football right now i know look i get it he's been terrible he's been very terrible i totally admit that and like i feel stupid for defending him so strongly before but he but he really just is not a good fit for this type of offense at all i it's just bizarre so the steelers two things is actually mostly to blame these quarterbacks with these red receivers and these coaches it's all a disaster two things that really stuck out to me one the staff from sumer sports uh sean syed had this stat that the falcons and steelers now rank last second to last respectively in total epa for offense this falcons and the steelers are the bottom two that was astonishing to me that the steelers could be as bad as atlanta uh they're not as far as apart as you should be i want the other one was i want him now dude i mean dude cooper rush rogers is not that different from cooper rush this season that's fucking a bomb uh but the other one is mike tolman just straight up said on sunday night football pregame he said the steelers don't have a place to hang their hat they're not establishing the run and they're not getting yards and chunks and they have to fix it settle down tolman okay when you were a coach the offense sucked for five straight years so let's settle the they had no place to hang their hat you know can't throw stones dk uh i'm gonna do the i'm gonna do the aaron rogers thing on this one um i know that i did i'm at a fault for blaming a lot of my problems on jaylen waddle um last week i was like i can't believe i fell for it again all that stuff but we're so back with jaylen waddle and you know what it's actually not my fault this is what happens when you make one of your best players a focal point of your fucking offense guys this offense looked completely different today against a very good team um and it was awesome to see jaylen waddle be utilized in the way that we kind of convinced ourselves that he would be which was a team high 10 targets this was almost like them sending a message like we get it we fucked up the week one thing and he had 10 targets the next closest receiver on this team was three targets so it was him and basically that was the game plan give the ball to waddle pass it to the italians eight catches for 143 yards and it worked i would like i'm not gonna apologize broncos won 20 to 13 and they were losing and they came back and the first pass in the game was to waddle he caught then like a like a 49 yarder like in the first quarter and you two cowards said that you can't start jaylen waddle who guess who has two thumbs and started jaylen waddle this week this fucking guy um i got the here's the problem craig he's gonna have two catches next week i hope not they were they were moving i'm afraid that he will it looked great he was he was running crossers he was motioning in he's on the outside he's playing in the slot he looked great where the fuck was this last week i just don't understand it it just doesn't make any sense to me he's torture next week's gonna suck uh did we say stat line did i say it do people even yeah eight catches 143 yards yeah that's a big win for the broncos another team that looked completely different than they did week one anyone else gonna sew over so back yeah i'm i'm giving a weird so back for trevion henderson who waltz back into the game and he's like oh my god i'm gonna be so bad i'm gonna be so in New England today, Ramondre Stevenson fumbled again and Trayvon Henderson had a 40-yard touchdown. We are so back and this guy is the only dude on the Patriots team with juice right now. And he had 16 carries, which I did not expect. I thought he was going to get like eight touches and he doubled Ramondre, definitely got more after Ramondre fumbled. And whether or not I think he's like elite, they give him the ball and he breaks plays. Ramondre fucking blew it. He fumbled against the Steelers last year, I believe, and then they stuck with him and I can't believe Ramondre fumbled against the Steelers again. Felt like deja vu watching the game. He fumbled, Ramondre lost two fumbles against the Steelers last year and I just, I really believe Ramondre would hold onto this job, but I can't believe he did it. I mean, I guess I can't believe it. I'm an idiot. I should have known he would do this again. After he fumbled, basically Trayvon just took over. They basically sent Ramondre down into the upside down and like, see you later. The pass protection thing is one thing, but like he wasn't doing anything on the ground. Like he's not, he wasn't really gaining any yards and the second Trayvon comes in, he like busts one and what was that? He busted one huge, which again, you're not supposed to do. We've learned that. We've learned that. Yeah. But yeah, they got it. They have to give the ball to Henderson. He's like the only one who can like get 40 yards in a game on a play. I feel like I've seen that Patriots Steelers game eight times in the last 16 years. I know that's why I'm like Tomlin settle down. It was also kind of a weird game. There's some settle down juice in it. Have a sip. That's like my home pregame with the settle down juice. This is that was kind of a funny game too, because there was a period in the game where you're like both of these teams suck. The Patriots suck. Drake may might be actually terrible. And then they ended up winning by a lot. And it felt like a really good win for the Pats. But like I'm seeing Bill Simmons send out Drake may panic tweets like midway through the game. When he threw that terrible pick, he keeps short arming throws. It looks like he's trying to aim it. I don't know what's going on with that guy. He looked bad. Yeah, I've heard stretches. Have we landed? Sal did invent Drake. Maybe right. I think so. That's Sal's right? Yes, I assume so. Good. Good for him. I don't want nobody should steal that. Give credit to Sal. I have a we're so back. We are so back with Jalen Hurts. Yeah, Eagles. OK, just an absolutely incredible classic Eagles game. Oh, sure. Like classic Eagles are back. Classic. The classic Eagles are back. Just like old school. Classic Eagles game. The Eagles beat the Titans 24 20. Should it have been that close? No chance. Did the Eagles look awful for a lot of the game? Yes. Did Jalen Hurts throw a back-breaking interception in the end zone that led to a Titans touchdown? Yes. Could they run the ball? No. Did Saquon and the Eagles, did Saquon do well? No. In fact, Saquon left immediately, unlike his first touch of the game. The Eagles, did they average two and a half yards a carry? Yes. Did Jalen Hurts then win the game with absolute unbelievable heroics on the final drive by playing the best he's looked in months? Well, I guess games and games, months of games on the final drive when it mattered. Yes. It was perfect. It was literally like you couldn't have scripted it better. Yeah. I hate the Eagles. No notes. Dude, Devontae Smith actually looked like a top five receiver. He looked awesome. On the final two drives. And Dontavion Wicks looks good, too. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Hurts had moments where he looked awesome. I very much agree. The second half, he was fantastic, but it's just even even in those situations, everything looks so hard. He had two bad picks. And then it was like the Titans are just like moving the ball. I'm like, this is I just can't believe this is happening. Don't know how to evaluate this. And I wanted I wanted to ask you guys if you believe these numbers so we could go through the game and the stats and everything. But I'm like, this game might have to be at a sample so that we going in. It was like, OK, it's going to be hot. National fine. Ninety five degrees field levels like one oh five. I'm like, OK, it's hot. They're saying this is on ESPN. ESPN is claiming and I don't really understand this is possible. That the turf temperature in the the Titan Stadium was one hundred and fifty seven degrees Fahrenheit. One five seven on the turf. And I don't get that's why it led to that funny video of them hosing the shoes, the cleats down that look like pissing on their cleats, pissing on the shoes. It's because the cleats were melting multiple players. So Amani Hooker is one of the safeties for the Titans said that his midsoles melted off last week. And then this game, Cam Yergin said that he had to change his shoes twice, that their their shoes were melting. And they players, I think, were pissed because I don't think they'd be allowed to practice in that in those conditions. They don't know why they have to play in them. I don't understand how that's even possible. One hundred and fifty seven degrees on the field. Like they're saying the turf was one hundred and fifty seven degrees. You think the field would like absorb some of that heat? What is this field made out of? I think it reflects the heat. No, I know. But I'm like, doesn't grass and stuff. Usually absorb heat and concrete sort of reflects it. Well, it's not. Well, it's not grass. It's turf. It's concrete. They should make it something else then, because that's what that's expensive. My main point is my main point is that it seems short on money. They wouldn't. Yeah, it seems bad that the field is one hundred and fifty degrees. That's all I'm saying. I don't know the answer. Maybe they should put fans on the sidelines or something. Oh, that's good. I like that. Yeah, I'm working. I'm working through it. You know, some stadiums like. The ice rink, like the ice is under the basketball court. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. And then it keeps it cool. That's a good idea. But the problem is we don't know how to refrigerators work. Well, we also don't know how ice rinks work. I did. We did learn that a little, though. No, it's coolants. Coolants lead to refrigerants. Yeah. Sirianni said he got an I.V. After Sirianni needed an I.V. I'm glad to hear that. Sirianni said I needed an I.V. Your heroics really helped. 160 degrees is hot. Sirianni is like unironically my favorite coach. I don't know what he does. The Eagles are the best. I don't know what he does other than alienate the most important people in the organization. They go 11 and six every year and everybody fucking hates him. I was thinking this, too. Like when you were talking, I've it's about how the game went. I was like, it's got to be kind of miserable to be an Eagles fan. And yet they win so much. The joke. All they do is the only thing they spend time doing. Is fucking defending their quarterback. Like, that's the existence of an Eagles fan right now. Let's go. Let's let's wake up, take a piss, drink some coffee and go fucking defend Jalen Hurts. That's all we got to do today. Check one thing off. We go find some people that are making fun of Hurts and fucking get in a fight with them. DK sensitive still from that Super Bowl clip we put up. No, that's oh, yeah, I forgot about that. There's like a year straight. People chiving in people are outside DK's house for a year. Every morning when he got up, well, you said Hurts last in the list of good Eagles players. You said Hurts last on the list. Yeah, I didn't even say anything negative about Hurts. Anyway, you said Hurts is named 56 seconds into the clip. He's easily top 20 seconds. Just enjoy their fucking Super Bowl. God damn it. Hurts is like still on a plane going to Disney World. For the MVP. People are like, fuck that. Any other so over so back. It's kind of very much over for Marvin Harrison Jr. I try. I kind of tried to hold out and be a defender and be like, he's going to be fine. Yeah, just a slow start. This used to be a normal type of trajectory for a young receiver. Takes a little while to get him into the. I don't know. I don't know. He might be bad. Zero targets. Zero catches. Zero yards and zero touchdowns. Today. Yeah, I didn't notice him. I watched the Seahawks game on my main screen, and I don't think I saw Marvin Harrison today. I didn't even see him. It's an unmitigated disaster. Was he on the field? I don't think he has the. He may not have the mental makeup to be an NFL starting player. Dude, this guy was the fourth overall pick in the NFL draft. That makes me feel better when we fuck up the fourth pick in fantasy drafts. What the hell is going on with this? I have a game for you guys. This is a worse pick than Corey Davis. Like, Corey Davis is going to have a better career than Marvin Harrison Jr. Oh, yeah. Laquan Treadwell has been in the league for 11 years. Yeah. Marvin Harrison, he might. I don't know how much longer he's going to be in the league. And I still. I think the answer is he can't deal with the physicality of it. And it's not just he's not strong enough. Like, I don't know what's going on with this guy. Is it the worst wide receiver pick in the history of the NFL draft? If it continues. There's a lot of them, Craig. And, like, I'm not. Henry Ruggs. Is probably an answer there. But that was a different. I'm saying, like, people who played the game and how highly they were picked. Four of these picked fourth. It's hard. It's hard because he had, like, 800 yards his rookie year. I mean. But. Maybe. I don't know. Like, maybe. It's hard to judge this early. But, like, I mean. This early? Maybe. We're in year three. So. I didn't see him. I didn't. I didn't see him on the field. I have a game here. I watched the entire game. And I'm now thinking back. I'm like, I didn't see him. Where was he? Three guys who outscored Marvin Harrison Jr. today in a lie. Okay. LeJonte Webster. Kaderil Hodge. Uh-huh. Colson Yankoff. What? Come on. And Bo Melton, who also plays defense. Colson Yankoff. Colson. Once again, I thought we weren't supposed to be doing that. Well, I mean. Colson Yankoff is not on the field. His last name is Yankoff. Is he on the Commanders? Yeah. Yeah, he is. Well, Bo Melton did not. But Colson Yankoff did outscore Marvin Harrison Jr. Colson Yankoff. I didn't know that man existed. Yankoff. It's an interesting situation for the Cardinals because Jeremiah Love did not do a whole lot either. I know the Seahawks defense is very good. And he's coming off of this injury from the preseason. But the returns on. Having two top four picks at skill position players, you just, you just want more from those two guys. I know that Jeremiah Love is going to be, I think he's going to be just fine. He looks great. But the Cardinals today had 151 yards of offense, 3.2 yards per play, three of 12 on third down. And they got zero targets and zero catches and zero yards and zero touchdowns from Marvin Harrison Jr. Who was the fourth overall pick two years ago or in 2024. And then Jeremiah Love nine rushes for 29 yards. He was the third pick this year. It's just like, it's gotta be so frustrating to watch that. It's like, you want more from it. I know. And again, I think Jeremiah Love's going to be fine. I'm not like freaking out about him, but Marvin Harrison is, it's a, it's a very worrisome at this point. Everyone knows that to win in fantasy, you need players that can be so much more. The QB that can throw for 400 yards and rush for a touchdown. The defense that can snag a pick six or the running back who can also bring in 15 receptions. It's like how Nationwide is so much more than a great. They're one of America's largest financial services companies, too. Now that gets the start. For your insurance and financial needs, Nationwide is on your side. Nationwide Investment Services Corporation, member FINRA, Columbus, Ohio. All right. Well, appropriately, it's time for Fart or Shart. America's favorite segment. And possibly going to be sponsored by Hyrox. I don't know if you guys saw the Hyrox Shart situation. Yeah. Where that woman won that contract. competition and then turned out that she had sharted and kind of left some shart all over a lot of the equipment people were supposed to use. I did not see that. Well, it's a huge controversy. I believe she had to rescind the title. Because she pooped on everything? Yeah, she pooped on a lot. What do you mean? Not everything, just a lot. What do you mean? So there was a race. What is High Rock? I don't actually know that either. What is it? So this is NBC News. The international indoor sports competition High Rocks apologized after an incident in Beijing where a runner was allowed to continue a race after soiling herself during the event. Soiling herself. It's a mix of running and then high intensity exercises. So I think it's like, you know, sled pushes, poles, burpees, rowing, lunges. You have to carry sandbags. Workout competition? Yes. I thought this was just like, yeah, running. But they're in a gym on equipment. Yes. So during some of that stuff, she sharted. I mean, she was pushing heavy weight and then it just kind of happened. So there was shart kind of, you know, coming out. She was leaking. And the other people were really mad that they then had to do all this stuff amidst her shart. I get that. Situation. Couldn't they just wipe it up? And then restart or something? They could have, but they got like the guy, like the guys at the NBA games with like the big broom thing. Exactly. Mop up the key. If someone falls. They're prepared. So the statement they made, a high rocks made a mistake by not reacting immediately during the race. In the end, it is my job to foresee these potential incidents that I did not. And then Annie says, and then I got to tell Mike McCarthy. Yeah. He says, Mike McCarthy's got to tell him what place to call. What were they supposed to do? Like, like she was a streaker, like run out there and tackle her. I don't know. It's like a, it's like a caution lap in NASCAR or whatever. They need to fucking stop shit and get the people out there to take care of the hazmat stuff. Oh, that's good. Brown flag. Yeah. Yeah. The brown flag. All right. So DK. Yeah. What? Speaking of sharting. God. All over the place. I want to talk about the Chicago Bears pass catchers. Colston Loveland, Luther Burton, Roma Dunzey through two weeks. Colston Loveland has one catch for three yards. I'll say that again. Colston Loveland through two weeks. Has one catch for three yards. Luther Burton has eight catches for 95 yards and Roma Dunzey has five catches for 95 yards. None of them have touchdowns. I'd like you to go through each of these three players and assign shart or fart. I mean, they're all sharts at this point. I'm rescinding. I'm rescinding my unequivocal word that I said last time. I was way too strong about that. I think the Loveland thing. I feel like he's already underplayed his draft position. Like it's already over in terms of like the value that you could have got. We talked about this going into the year. I was like, this guy, he's getting drafted really high for a very small sample of what he did last year. One catch in three yards in two games. They scored 59 points in week one. And then the bird. So I don't know. Obviously, I'm kind of being hyperbolic here. I do think Loveland will be more involved in the passing game. But I do kind of I'm like a little worried. It's already over. Like he's not going to be what we thought he was. Number two, burden. The other egregiously overpriced guy. Probably. He's not playing enough, Craig. He leads the team in targets. He's not playing very much. He's playing. He played like 55% of snaps today. He put it on the year. He's played like 65%. That's that's a huge red flag. He might get better as the year goes on. And then a doomsday. I don't know. He's just underwhelming. That's all. He's a good catch. Cliff Raymond looks better than Luther burden, which isn't weird. Get the fuck Luther burden at the best catch of the day for the for the Bears. He had like a super difficult catch in the rain that like save their drive. Yeah, we texted about it. DK was like, wow, what a catch by burden. I know. I'm not saying that he's a bad player. I'm saying the relative to where he was drafted and the expectations like a Marvin Harrison thing. It's worrisome. It's very worrisome that he's only playing. Like. 55, 65, 65% of the snap. I think I don't disagree with what you're saying. What's his name? Raymond is like the number one receiver on the team. I think I agree. The snaps are not great, but I don't think Luther Bert. Like, I think Marvin Harrison Jr. Is bad. I agree that the snap stuff's not great, but I think Luther burden is is great. I think that Colston Loveland is like the easiest by low, and I think it might continue for a couple of weeks. But if the person who has close to Loveland starts out like, oh, and three. Then and Caleb's out like a month, then close to Loveland is going to be like the easiest by low. You got to be the bravest fucking person I've ever met to start close and level the next week. Well, you got brass balls. If you start Colson level next, should that be power hour this week? We rank his three targets should be power rank. Coastal levels, three targets of the season. Roma dunes. They only 67% of the snaps. Yeah, that's another one. That's very concerning. They're like doing the they're doing the Broncos thing where they wrote. Tate, a bunch of guys. It's worrisome. It's very worrisome. So you're you're going triple short the rare triple short. You don't see that. Yeah. Again, I don't think these are bad players. I think relative to expectations for fantasy, it's a short. So you're benching them. But the question is not the question is not retroactively relative to their when they're it's like, is it a short right now? Like and again, the rule is a fart is something smelly that will go away and a short is something needs to change. Yes. It's a short. Something needs to change. So you don't burn it and they need to play more. So you're not playing a doomsday or Luther Burn or Loveland next week. Well, Loveland, fuck. No, I'll wait till he gets more than one catch in a game. How about that? Um, and then burden and doomsday. It's like more complicated. That just depends on your team. But like, I'm very nervous about playing them. I have, I have burden in a bunch of leagues and I was high on him too. Um, but it worries me a lot to play him next week because it's just the usage isn't where you want. You want it? To be just again. I think it was like 55% of snaps today. It's coming off the field too much. They only and they were terrible this year. This is raining. It was the Vikings. I thought the 59 point game, he made some good plays. I feel I feel like I'm not I'm not going over. So again, we're quibbling over, I guess, like the rules of what a shirt is. But like the way that happens puts it, I do think something needs to change for him to be a fantasy star. OK, big words. Oh, they're short. Candidates here. Anyone else smelling smell? I've got a handful here. We can. Do you want to do like a quick, quick round on farter? Shark? Just give me the give me the lightning round. Farter. Shark. Sure. Go. Yeah. Terry McLaurin. Shark. OK. He's been completely mocked by Stefan Diggs. Stefan Diggs is the number one receiver in that offense. That's not Terry McLaurin. I mean, I was hurt. I mean, Terry McLaurin was wide open for a touchdown that I forget who was a receiver, threw it to him. And screwed up. Jalen missed him. And then throwing on the run. If he just stopped instead of his feet, it would have been an easy. And then he like did catch a touchdown that they kind of overturned, like he and the defensive back caught at the same time. That also could have been a touchdown. But yeah, Terry had like a bad game that also could have been like three touchdowns. But that yeah, but that's the story of his life. I mean, because the Jaden, I'm just like, this is a shark. I do not feel good about Terry McLaurin. Terry needs Jaden Daniels as much as anybody. Like, it's all about the connection. Marcus Mariota cannot throw the kind of passes Terry needs to succeed. To be honest. Okay. Accepted. Number two, George Pickens. Sorry, number two. That was not pun not intended. For George Pickens. Okay. Yeah, I'm not going to freak out. Okay. He scored seven points this year. CeeDee Lamb is 31. Yeah, I mean, I'm starting to get a little worried. They all came at the end. They mostly came at the end when Dak wanted the record that Dak passed. Tony Romo for most touchdowns in Cowboys history. A lot of the CD production. He had a hundred. A hundred yards and a touchdown at halftime. Yeah, and he was playing well, but I'm saying that the over, but CeeDee didn't, I just, I'm not. He had 90 yards in the first quarter. Yes, but you're not benching George Pickens because, like, CeeDee Lamb, like, these numbers look worse because of the ending when it was garbage time. Okay, so shart for McLaurin, fart for Pickens. Number three, Baker Mayfield. What do we do with Baker Mayfield? I think this is a shart. I think the Bucks are terrible. I'm, like, worried. I'm very worried. Baker, to be kind, was pressing. Honestly, I think it's so over for Baker. He lost to Deshaun Watson at home. Baker was outplayed by Deshaun Watson in Tampa. That's not good. It's not good. Baker was straight up outplayed by Deshaun Watson today. He was definitely pressing because it was the Cleveland revenge game, and he was throwing downfield. Honestly, Baker, I thought he played really poorly, so the Buccaneers lost to the Browns 23-19. Should we? Maybe we should pause this conversation and pick it up in two and a half hours because that's what they had to do with the game. They got, like, 58 minutes in, and then there was a giant storm that, like, flooded the field and everything, and I get that it's hard to do the game-winning drive to two hours, but I'm, like, you did have two and a half hours to script a drive. They almost had it. Like, he was blaming. He basically was, like, the wet field made the timing off, but, dude, I don't know what to make of this game. Deshaun Watson played okay, and then it seemed like God was trying to smite everyone. involved just because it was such a strange situation going on i don't know what what was going on it seemed like god's wrath was invoked but um i had florida yeah it's probably just florida greg uh greg allman had this great stat that the buccaneers since week eight last year are three and ten which is the only teams better or worse than that are the titans washington and the cardinals it looks like the buccaneers have been really bad for a long time and it's a bummer because we i mean we kind of started talking ourselves into tampa bay at the end of august you know we were like i mean abuka got saved by a touchdown today but like i'm terrified about him i mean they're just like baker just like they just can't move the ball down the field and it's like well the we were like well the the bucks are kind of like the charge like well the the charges where we're like well they'll be healthier this year and um yeah it turns out that baker was kind of just running around pulling stuff out of his ass and just making stuff work last year and it was really cool to watch but it's incredibly unsustainable he looks like he like doesn't know the play like it looks like he's like doesn't have a head start and he just snaps the ball and figures it out he looks like he's just ripping passes that's very true craig because the the stat i was gonna throw you guys is he's been sacked seven times in two games this year which is 27th in the nfl and his pressure to sacrate is almost 40 and only two quarterbacks cooper russian carson wentz are worse right now so in other words when he gets pressured bad things happen he gets sacked he gets turnovers and like craig said it almost just looks like he's in it half the time yeah anytime he starts to do like that little scoot thing where he tries to scoot past the guy and holds the ball kind of out to like avoid getting strip sacked or whatever um i'm like oh this is gonna i just feel like this is gonna end badly so i just feel he is not playing yeah he's not playing in the structure of the offense nearly enough he's trying to do too much it feels like he's pressing and he's making a lot of mistakes um and he's been basically just bad the first two weeks hopefully that changes but i'm starting to get a little worried i kind of think between the tropical storm that had this two-hour delay and also just him just trying way too hard because it was cleveland but i'm a little concerned it's more than that he had a buka in the end zone on fourth and 11 to win the game yeah and he missed it and he missed him he did um so ted hurst also should have had like two touchdowns but you know uh okay intrusive thoughts do you guys have any uh unwanted ideation during today's games yeah again intrusive thought i'm like what if drake may is just carson wentz oh no i don't know two dudes from yeah two dudes from north carolina who in their second year were runner-up mvps and led their team to the best record in the nfl dual threat dudes big guys big arm mobile and then what if it just kind of goes away um that is kind of eerie i don't like that at all um but yeah he's looked really he's looked really out of sorts this year it's the same thing second year wentz was like eagles were 11 and 2 he was probably maybe gonna win the mvp before he got hurt and then it just kind of never materialized and i'm like well drake may does not look very good anymore i don't know what it is just like i don't know what happened to carson wentz um yeah i think may last year it was like almost unsustainable the high degree of difficulty that he was operating is like he was the he was the best deep ball thrower and most efficient deep ball thrower in the nfl um and i was like it just kind of did feel like i don't know if he's going to be able to recreate that especially against a stronger um you know opponent schedule and i'm not quite i'm not ready to jump ship but that is that is a terrifying comp that you just intrusive thought yeah yeah yeah i don't believe it but it's it's festering yeah i uh i i didn't have an intrusive well i have intrusive thoughts but i really had more of an involuntary sound that i made uh when the kobe durant play happened and that cowboy defender he got his balls stomped by the other guy i i yelped i yipped like a small dog you yipped like matthew reese in widow's bay yes jackie and the cat like leapt up off the couch because i was so loud it was just like i actually like i didn't know i could make the sound it was so violent looking it was like a tarantino thing you know all of his weight right on it grinding into his dick they like like tarantino brings in the best sound guy to like make the noise of his dick getting squished by that every even like romo and what's in her car like man we'll take a second for that everyone's just like like in just their hearts in their stomach at that point oh what's it called when you take the you put someone's teeth on the sidewalk curb stomp yeah it was like a curb stomp for your fucking balls oh yeah that is there like that i'm not gonna i've been thinking about it all night i i can't get that thing out that was the most horrible you know why the angle was brutal it was it was there the foot the cleat it was there so long it was so long it was so perfectly placed fucking clip or something yeah i don't know if they do that on jack it was like too much for jack it's like steve-o would say no he's gonna dig his cleat into the back of your balls and it was also like like he only tripped on the guy's foot so it was like he tripped over themselves it was his teammate which somehow made it worse he also stepped on his back too just for good measure it's like he hits him right in the right in the butthole and then he also steps on his back it was like the entirety of his gooch yeah i think maybe the toe got in the asshole too perhaps it was everywhere i i that was a brutal shower i bet oh my i oh yeah the the cleats are just so apparent in this video i'm watching this over and over now and like the lower back stomp is almost as bad he's like oh like i wouldn't be surprised if he's not playing next week it's just brutal it's uh it's the it's kind of one of the it seems wrong to say that's one of the worst things you see in a football field like that's definitely not true and yet it's it's stuck with me sorry i don't i don't mean to laugh i'm sorry that that happened to you i'm sorry to kobe that but god it's brutal it was like it was like a cartoon stomp like you could have drawn it up any better oh you know what you know why it's it's it's because instead of being able to step up off it all his weight yeah it's like all of his weight is on there for so long i wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy oh anyway yeah um another intrusive thought not not really an intrusive not really intrusive it's something negative i just kind of just hit me as i was watching so there's a kicker out there named trey smack i think that's the coolest kicker name ever yeah trace it's hitting the three i think that's the best it came his first kick was like just smacking a three yeah like i was going through all the kicker i was like that's the best kicker name ever we found it it's trey smack he did it that's the best name no notes the only other thing i had was that we don't have ick of the week anymore but i'm gonna do a flex category for ick of the week justin herbert in the pistols and ick okay not two should be in the pistol not justin fucking herbert get him out of the pistol i want an under center or in shotgun i don't like the pistol the pistol is when something's wrong with an offense in the nfl the pistol doesn't work the pistol is like when you're like oh well this guy's a linebacker d line safety will will he'll play two positions like travis hunter you end up doing neither pistol is like it's all the benefits of understanding shotgun it's actually ends up being all the weaknesses of under center but also all the weaknesses of shotgun it's the worst in both worlds yes it's the worst of both worlds i don't like how i see him there okay every time i see it i'm like nah get under center have him back up three feet for christ's sake it looks stupid he's in shotgun and the running backs behind him stupid wimpy wimpy wimpy dk got any um brian thomas jr might not be very good he might just he might just stink i don't know what's going on with this guy uh he had two big drops today um he is third on the team and fantasy points at receiver kind of dk metcalf vibes out of him to be honest he yeah i hate when body catchers jump but they don't gotta like when you're jumping to catch a ball but you kind of just won't put your arms out i'm like that is that's that's a bad thing it's pretty crazy how like how how parker washington has just taken command of the jags like yeah now you're like god if it wasn't for him brian thomas stinks jacoby myers is fine you have like you know travis hunter is not really playing receiver you're like they are really dependent now on parker washington who's like amazing i can't i'm having i mean i'm sure there's been other instances of this and it's pretty common but like the parker washington hype translating immediately to to the season is kind of shocking yeah you know it's like wow it's actually even better than we thought yeah he's like immediately a top 15 wide receiver in the league i think he's one of the top five guys in the league i think he's one of the top five guys in the league target right so far this year at receiver yeah um and he did he just looks he looks like a of monroe it mixed with he just like totally has the juice he's second in target rate this year to jsn yeah so yeah i mean it's that's translated immediately i'm just starting to be worried that brian thomas was a flash in the pan that that one year and i don't know man i was concerned by brian thomas today uh okay quote of the day i just brady tom brady said both piss missile on air and then he also complimentary he just he just reacted to the jayden daniels elbow thing on air and said oh shit and then it was like oh excuse my language sorry which i enjoyed i actually like these two things i think these are both complimentary missile to see the lamb and then he said oh shit when jayden made his elbow made him more relatable that was when i saw jayden daniels elbow bend i was like that was also what i was like oh my god yeah yeah i don't know honestly i was kind of shocked at how restrained they were when kobe durant's balls got stomped yeah i kind of can't believe brady didn't say anything for that they were just like oh yeah no where's that toe going we'll go to a time out for that um i have a i have a well yeah well brady yeah no that is good can i ask you guys a question about today this is not about brady this is not a quote but it's celebration of the day okay we gotta talk about this jamar chase t higgins touchdown celebration they're doing yeah i don't know if i saw the it's the arm out that um is that like like laying the dick on the table what is it i think that is what it means i think it's literally like yeah let your dick drop and i kind of can't believe that t higgins did it last week and they just let him keep doing it jamar chase just made the play of the year and was like let my dick drop and i'm like dude a peace sign is taunting like you can't say peace to another player i just i don't know i kind of it's weird what they let happen the nfl the the the obvious and easy answer is the nfl doesn't know what it means yet and they're soon to know nobody nobody tell them um i think they should let it go they should let it play well you can't do the peace sign during the play like you can't people while you're scoring i think if you scored a touchdown you could put up the peace sign that's yeah that's true in that case they're like we're happy that you're promoting but if jamar chase was running down the sideline and kind of dropping his arm between his legs i don't think he could do that i guess that would be taunting taunting is the lamest penalty it's like who gives yes like who cares it's like you can knock the guys unconscious but you can't like so running into the end zone they can't like do something they can't celebrate on their way in can't have fun aaron jones's helmet's going flying a man's taint was just destroyed and that's fine he will never recover dude oh i'm thinking about him like having to go home and talk to his wife you know that scene in like the this is 40 yeah we just has to spread you know what i mean i just feel like that's oh man i just poor guy uh worst ref or coach decision of the day i mean i i could go for a while on aaron glenn i don't know how long we want to do it but aaron glenn put on one of the worst fourth quarter coaching performances i've ever seen and the jets were almost 2-0 for the first time since 2015 they were in control of that game man the jets might not be a bad team and right they were at a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter and he made three truly moron moron level plays like the fourth and one tied minute left he runs it out of the gun which was like insane to me and then the big one was the no time out with the lefty the green bay throws you gotta explain it it's it's unbelievable the packers threw the ball to christian watson with with a minute left in green bay then had a fourth and five the jets had two timeouts and they did not call one they let it run all the way down even the floor after in the press conference was like i don't know what the jets were doing i can't believe they didn't call a timeout there was a minute left they could have gotten the ball back and instead they the packers run the ball all the way down and they throw a hail mary and they go to overtime and then they get to overtime and aaron glenn takes the ball first which is what you're not supposed to do and they fucking lose and it was i just it was a master class in stupidity it really was the not taking and aaron glenn's explanation for again so the packers were like pretending they'd run a play in fourth and five at midfield like which like first of all you should be hoping they're gonna run a play at fourth and five at midfield like if you're a defensive coach you're like so we get a stop we could just like go 10 15 yards get a field goal but he was like aaron glenn literally was like i didn't even think about taking a timeout there didn't even consider it to be honest because they could pin us with a punt and then we would be stuck like he's more worried about like taking his safety or being pinned back and like having to punt back and having it blocked to be honest he is about scoring i think you're giving him too much credit i think he just said that because it was the first thing that popped into his head at the press conference because even that doesn't make any sense like i actually think he like didn't have an answer and he just made something up i think aaron glenn seemed he seems like a really nice guy and it seemed like a great motivator and all the stuff but aaron glenn is he's maybe the worst in-game coach with like clock management i've ever seen like he's up there with nate hackett and vince joseph and like like aaron glenn the most again would you rather have the ball with a minute or not and he just was like we're good like it's insane he's like i was worried about them pinning us i'm like i i actually and you should just say like i'm not answering that question i would have preferred that then you give i don't know how you can be in football as long again i know i keep bringing it up with this jets broncos london game last year which people probably did not watch but the myth that they literally changed their mind on whether they were going to score in the middle of the drive like they were like literally like we're like ah we'll just knee out the clock and then they just changed their minds it was the worst clock manager i've ever seen i've never seen a team change their mind in the middle of a fucking two-minute drill whether they were trying to score or not there was one of those great stats out there about like how iconic this loss was uh so the jets became the first team on record since since 1941 to lose a game when holding an opponent to less than 200 yards the opponent has a hundred plus yards of penalties and you win the turnover margin by one or more entering today teams are 44 and 0 in that spot dude it's so bad the jets the packers would have just played well gino played well they should have won that game the jets should be 2 and 0 and the packers should have been 0 and 2 and the packers would have been in quite the hole and the packers really got got the rest saved dk any other uh things lucille bluth i don't understand the stat line i won't respond to it just anything that confused you today um i don't know if you guys have already talked about this or maybe this is a common thing but i saw a graphic today of matt ryan and it just said matt ryan president of football that's his title i looked it up i googled it and his title with generally is president of football yeah is that something that's like a lot of teams have because if not because if they it's due almost always president operations he's the president of football why didn't anyone tell me this are you sure you're right about this it's yeah i fucking looked it up he's the president of football he's like matt ryan's like look i know you guys gotta make up a term a thing for me because you just want to hire me because i'm a fan favorite or whatever i want to be the president of football it's like his son decided the title president of football that's um anyway uh both of the starting quarterbacks of the falcons today ended with negative points in fantasy jack strand that's crazy eight for 15 59 yards a pick and a fumble loss he had negative 0.04 points uh cooper rush even worse 10 of 17 for 86 yards two picks and a fumble negative 0.56 points the falcons have yet to find the red zone they are the first team since 2008 to do that i loved that that's so bad it was awesome timing where this guy had a sign a falcons fan that said we want strand which is like the most depressing pathetic thing i've ever seen and then they bring in strand and he throws a pick six at his first pass they they desperately want like the guy who didn't even play d1 we want he made that sign like for week two he's like i'm sick of this we deserve strand now might be a good time for undrafted it's week two he's like we we demand the undrafted jack by the way hey guys guess what the falcons the next three weeks are in prime time what's his sign gonna say next week what's next what can you give us the peanut give us the pennix is the pennix in yet we demand to be taken seriously is the pennix in yet put the pennix in put the pennix in is the pennix in yet put the pennix on the table i can't feel it is it in That was the saddest thing I've ever seen. It was a huge sign. We want Strand. Was that Strand's brother? Who was that? Look, they're really engaged in this. The Falcons are playing in Thursday night football this week. Sorry, next week. The next week after that, Monday night football. And then the week after that, Sunday night football. Oh, yeah. They're allowed to flex that, but they never have in week five. I think they might flex the Ravens out. Oh, not if the president of football has anything to do with it. You think he's going to flex his own team out? He's going to fucking veto that shit. He's actually higher than Goodell. If the penance is in, maybe they'll keep it. Serious question. I don't know what's going on with Tua. I don't know if he's hurt or if he's shadow retired. Would you rather the Falcons play Cooper, Rush, or Strand again? How long until we just play Matt Ryan? How long until Matt Ryan should just play for the Falcons? Oh, that's a great question. Because then he'd be the president. The president of football should probably also play football. You've got a president of football. He's got to also play. Matt Ryan of football is so funny. Maybe I'm just dumb and every team has that, but I was laughing so hard. No, they don't. We want Strand. Relatedly. We demand Jack Strand. Enough. Enough. It's week two. I can't be doing this. It's week two. Enough of Cooper Rush. I didn't know who Jack Strand was three weeks ago, but I demand him now. And then you can't. I mean, it's a fucking pick six. When he burned the sign after that? What do you do? What are you doing? The people around you in the stands are like, yeah, he's coming in. And then he throws a pick six. To be clear. Also, it wasn't like a sign that he drew on a piece of cardboard. It's like printed and laminated. And there's a graphic design on it. There's the Falcons logo. It almost looks like the Falcons made this. And handed it out when he went into the doors. Maybe this man is the assistant to the president of football. I don't know. I just thought that was so funny. I've never seen a sign like that. That's crazy. The Falcons? The run of things? There was a show. Craig, I don't know if you've seen this, but there was a show with David Cross where it was like the increasingly bad decisions of Todd something or other. It was like this. Show from, I don't even know when it was, but I feel like that's what the Falcons are. It's like the increasingly bad decisions of the Atlanta Falcons. Every one of their big moves over the last, like, however many years, two or three years is it's just like the worst decision ever. Them signing Kirk Cousins and then drafting Pennix and then trading up to take the pass rusher whose name I'm forgetting right now. What's his name? Pierce. Yeah. And then a general Walker. I like that. He's hurt. It's like, man, everything. I think that could go wrong so far is like going wrong. Yeah. Relatedly, two tight ends to outscore Kyle Pitts in a lie. I just have two players to outscore Kyle Pitts in a lie. I have Ryan Miller, Cody White, and Mason Taylor. Cody White had like two touchdowns, didn't he? I was hoping you wouldn't forget. He was the guy with the weird dance. Ryan Miller had a touchdown. Yeah. I saw Mason Taylor have a catcher too. What did Kyle Pitts do today? He had one catcher, 15 yards. Man. We want Strand. Fuck. They all three outscored him then. No. No. Wait. Is Miller. It was Cody White. Who's the other guy? Ryan Miller, Cody White. These aren't tight ends. No, they're not. They're receivers. I couldn't find tight ends. You had less than 15 yards. All the guys had catches. What did Mason Taylor do today? I didn't. Nothing. Okay. I had to find someone to catch. I had to find someone to get a literal zero. It was hard to find a tight end. He didn't have a catch? Shit. Maybe it was one of their other tight ends then. Jets are kind of good. That's crazy. Burn book? Yeah. We have a deep bench today. What is the argument of how could it not be Marvin Harrison Jr.? Even by the standards of we hate this guy, don't draft him. He's been an abomination. The Cardinals aren't playing him. It probably is. I didn't see him today. I think my only argument is like, was he even like starting for people? Like, was he like the fifth guy on your team anyway? Fifth receiver? Like, was he really being played? Maybe he was. I can hear. Let me, I'll look it up on Yahoo right now. Yeah. Cause I just wonder if he's already been relegated to like a fantasy bench player. You know, I'll tell you right now. Marvin Harrison was, he's rostered 90%. This week he was start started in 19% of leagues, but Chris Ryan played him this week in the regular league. We got him no points. Yeah. He was trying to play Marvin Harrison Jr. This week. Yeah. Do you, so do you think we, it should be him? It's the boot. What are we going to do? Not burn him. Who else do we got? Give us some. I think Saquon Barkley juice for squeeze is way more frustrating. Saquon's been bad. He got hurt today. Got a stinger on the first play of the game. And then he came back and got like four more carries and then inexplicably finished the game. And then he's getting an MRI. I'm like, why, if he's getting an MRI, why did they put it back in the game? The MRI came back fast. No, no. After the game, he's like, I need to get an MRI now. Don't you wish all the players to come back before they went back to the MRI? Not if they were hurt enough to require an MRI. And only do four more carries. Right. Shit or get off the pot. Should we, well, should we be burning close to the Loveland? We have the discord. Join the discord. Ring our fancy football. We have a burn book. Yeah. I mean, I mean, Loveland is who's more dead to people than Colston Loveland. Once again, if you have the brass balls to start Colston Loveland next week, it's Colston Loveland. He has fucking three yards in two weeks. Three yards in two weeks. He's the better tight end off the board this year. He's got three yards. That's a good point. Marvin Harrison Jr. Has outscored Colston Loveland. That is, that is a good point, man. That's true. That's sad. By 30 yards. That's even sadder than that Jack Strand's poster. He's 11 times more. He's 11 times more yards. I need to know if somebody was really, if that man was related to Jack Strand. Please let me know. If anyone can find the put in Jack Strand guy, please put us in contact with them. Email us at ringourfantasyfootball.gmail.com. I mean, if it is his dad or something, that's not as funny. No, no, it was like a, oh, I guess it could have been. I don't think it was. I think he looked a little too young to be his dad. I don't think his dad was his dad. I don't think his dad's showing up to the game with a sign that's like, put in my son. He was angry, yelling. We want Strand. All right. Professionally printed. That's Colston Loveland. You're in the burn book with AJ Brown. Okay. For sure. Thank you, DK. Thank you, Craig. Thank you to kill. Thank you, Cam. Thank you. Awesome. Thank you everyone for listening. Email us ringourfantasyfootball.gmail.com. Email us a fantasy court cases for a power hour Wednesdays. Email us trivia questions on Monday for waivers. Thank you, Lord. Lord. Yeah, Lord. I did it. 80s. DK, I'm up because you did Twisted Sister. Last episode. I want to rock. Rock, which we found it was Goofy Goober Rock, which is from the SpongeBob movie. Today, I'm going ZZ Top, Give Me All Your Lovin'. Oh. Banger of a song. How does it go? Throw that on. Play it. You'll know the guitar. I know. I know ZZ Top. Yeah, I definitely know this song. This one's this would be not like the song I think of with ZZ Top, but I like it. It's a banger. So 80s. This is not what I thought these guys would look like. ZZ Top have like iconic look.
