It's all about what happens in week two. We're going to reject everything we saw in week one. Well, not everything. The things that confirmed what we already believed, that was real. Welcome to the Ringer Fantasy Football Show. My name is Dana. I'm joined by Danny, Kaylee, and Craig Horlbeck. And we are previewing every game of week two. We're going to give you one fact stat, a little nugget for every single game of week two. A little nug. Yeah. Chicken nugs, baby. All right. We're going to start with, I think we have to start, roughly chronological order here of the way the games are going to go on Sunday. But I want to start with, I think Bengals are at the Houston Texans. I feel like that's probably the biggest game in that early window, which we can never agree on what it should be called. But I'm going to go with the early slate. 1 p.m. Eastern, 10 a.m. Pacific. You're the only one. You're right. I am upset. We can never, collectively, the three of us can never agree on it. I've never heard anyone in my life, East Coast or West Coast, have an issue with how we discuss the early slate. My one fact for Texans-Bengals is that C.J. Stroud's last three games, he had five fumbles versus the Steelers, four interceptions versus the Patriots, and then two fumbles last week versus the Bills, including a game-ending one where all he had to do was throw it out of bounds or into the end zone. And now they're playing the Cincinnati Bengals, who forced four turnovers last week, including three against Baker Mayfield. This game is really funny because, one, I find myself, out of the three of us here, defending Stroud the most. I think we're placing way too much emphasis on him fucking up that fumble at the end of the game. I really think he just tried to step up in the pocket and make a play, and he got stripped. But this game's weird because you're putting a lot of pressure on Stroud in this game, which I understand. Nico Collins might not play in this game. Nico Collins hurt his hamstring midweek which just kills you. There's just nothing worse. I got Nico Collins in my high school league. You see the little cue pop up on a Wednesday. I'm like, he played the whole game. He had like 80 yards and a touchdown. He looked great. What's the problem? And it's like, hurt it in practice. Now he's undergoing tests. It came out it's a grade one hamstring strain, which is best case scenario. I don't know if he's going to play this week. I feel like it's hard to hurt your hamstring on Wednesday and play Sunday. Probably not. This is not right or fair, but something about your player getting hurt in the middle of the game, the week at practice feels like a betrayal. It does because at least if you had a bad week before, you kind of, but you made it out of like, when your player's not injured on Sunday, that's like the one thing you have if you lost. You're like, at least my team is healthy going into next week. So it is extra shitty. So now CJ Stroud doesn't have Nico Collins. He doesn't have Jaden Higgins, the rookie who tore his ACL. So we're working with like Hutchinson, Jalen Knoll. Jared Wayne. I was going to ask you guys if Jared Wayne is like the first true NPC of the season. He's going to play. Probably he played last week. Yeah. Yeah. You'd catch, but I'm like, he's going to be on the field. So I just think this is a huge game for Stroud. I guess we disagree. I just look at Stroud as it's again, if he does a Darnold and the Texans go and win the Superbowl, CJ Stroud is going to get like the biggest contract in the NFL probably because they're not going to be able to lose their Superbowl starter. So he'll just have, but if CJ Stroud has a horrific season, there's a world the Texans are like, maybe thinking about replacing him. He is the biggest variance of any quarterback in the NFL this year in terms of range of outcomes. And I still think a great quarterback's in there, but yeah, it's like the offensive line for Houston was both better than it looked and also impressive and unimpressive at times. The run game looked better than we hoped. I thought the pass protection was confused at best at important moments in the game. But again, the Bengals, I don't think the Bengals defense is great either. It's vulnerable, but the Bengals clearly are trying to make up with explosive defensive plays and just kind of, they're just going for the ball. Baker's liable for it. Baker's led the NFL in fumbles last three years or co-led, but like Stroud is too, I'm just saying Stroud needs to protect the ball. If the Texans defense gets back to being elite, literally all Stroud has to do is not turn the ball over twice every game. DK, do you have a feel between Xavier Hutchinson, Jalen Knoll, and Keyshawn Booty? If somebody had Nico Collins, or if you're looking for, you know, if you have Ladd McConkie or something like that who might not play this week, do you think any Texan is worth starting or no? Probably not. I think I would, I guess I would lean like Hutchinson or Booty, one of those two, because they're going to be playing the most. I don't have a strong lean. Either way on those two, because Booty just got there. Hutchinson's kind of been around, so I guess I would probably say Hutchinson, but I don't feel confident. I think this passing game could suffer, and that could have ramifications for the run game, which we saw take off last week. I thought the Bengals defense was pretty interesting, at least relative to like, I think, what we've expected from them over the last few years, where it was just like a hot knife through butter anytime you go against the Bengals. The Dexter Lawrence addition looked good. Boy, Mafe had a sack. They, I think they had four strip sacks, or sorry, four forced fumbles against the Bucks last week. Not to say that they're like a great defense now, but I do think they can certainly make more problems for an opposing quarterback than I think we expected last year. And so, yeah, I don't know. I would probably stay away from the Texans offense in this game. I think he played David Montgomery. Yeah, for sure. But the passing game is hard. I think the other thing is Joe Burrow has a back injury. It seems like he both has, speaking of midweek injuries, Burrow has a back issue pop up. I think he got hurt. On Sunday, it seems like that play where Alex Anzalone, the linebacker for the Bucks, just popped him going out of like right at the pylon for a first down. And it seems like Burrow probably got hurt there, but then has this midweek back issue. And he seems like he's going to play. And I don't know if it changes anything. You're going to play Jamar Chase. I think he played T. Higgins, but it wouldn't be shocking if that wasn't a great game for him. The person I kind of think is somewhat benchable is Joe Burrow because I don't like Joe Burrow with back issues versus the Texans, but also, I'm a little skeptical that Burrow is going to play as well as Josh Allen because he's not as mobile. But if you have Joe Burrow, you probably don't have a quarterback that you're willing to bench him for. But I'm not necessarily as bullish on Burrow this week with a back injury. But if you're a Bengals fan, you're nervous. Yeah, hurt Burrow versus the Texans defense is not a great combination. Yeah, we have Burrow as a fringe starter. He's like the 12th quarterback ranked in our rankings. And I think that's right. I think like if you have somebody who's like your backup, like a Jordan Love against the Jets, like I think it's totally fine to consider playing him. I can't believe we're here with Burrow. This is another. This is another dead dove. The quote from Burrow today was, if I'm not getting surgery, I'll be out there. I'm like, that doesn't make me feel good. That's the bar. Like that's like where your head's at. He's like, well, I don't need surgery. So I'll play. It's like, Jesus Christ. I think it was a response to him being last. Would you miss time? And he was like, no. But I mean, again, it's Burrow. It's so funny. I was so. He didn't throw in practice yesterday. No. And again, Burrow has missed time. I mean, he's missed half a season, three times. Turf toe last year. Wrist injury, ACL. And that doesn't include like an appendectomy that cost him all of training camp once, a strained calf, finger injuries, knee injuries. Like he takes a lot of hits. That's the Bengals line gets blamed, but it's kind of Burrow's style of play. Burrow is going to try to scramble in the pocket, extend plays. And he wants to get rid of the ball as late as possible to create a big play. And he's willing to take a sack or a hit to create an explosive play. The downside is, it's kind of just, this is just the new reality is Burrow's just always has something. interesting. Injury-wise, and it's a choice. It's downstream of the choices he makes of the way he wants to play football, which is also why everyone loves the way Joe Burrow plays football and his fearlessness. But yeah, I think Bengals fans are probably freaking sick that there's another issue with Joe Burrow already, one game into the season. Let me ask you a question here. DK, I'll ask you. Always like putting you on the spot. Nico Collins is not practicing today. It's Thursday as we're recording. He's probably not going to do anything all weekend. If, let's say, it's Sunday morning and Nico Collins is out there warming up and it's like he's a game-time decision and it's a. Don't do it. report, Nico Collins is going to start week two against the Bengals and play through this hand. He feels good. Are you playing him or no? I mean, of course, there's caveats. It depends on your team, of course. But I'm trying as hard as I can to avoid doing that, you know, just because I think this was a rule that we came up with last year. If he's trying to make it work the morning of the game, just don't put yourself through that. Don't put yourself through that. It usually doesn't work out. It's a high, high degree or high probability of re-injury or whatever. I don't know. To me, that's just like not a good process, really. And so if you have another option, go with the other option. Especially when it's like the early slate where you have other options. Last year, we decided that, to your DK's point, basically never do it because the answer always seems to be if the training staff, that is a professional football team's training staff, is not even sure about the injury until 90 minutes before the game, the odds that that player is healthy is like so low that you just see the little name pop up and you're like, if you could watch them, I don't know. Probably not. So, especially the fact that it was Wednesday. I think that's the answer. I would not play Nico this week. So, watch him go off. Sorry, Craig. DK. All right. We got Vikings at Bears. Exciting game. My one stat for this game is that last year, Brian, Flores and the Vikings defense blitzed Caleb Williams on 48% of his drop backs in two games, including one game where that number was 68%. So, I'm expecting a kind of fireworks style game here where the Vikings try as hard as they can to get Caleb Williams out of whack and making bad decisions or throwing off his back foot or trying to escape and making a bad decision. And there's going to be a ton of pressure. In those two games last year, Caleb was pressured 35 times, four sacks, eight quarterbacks, three quarterback hits. They split those two games. Bears won once, lost once. So, I'm just really expecting the Vikings to throw the kitchen sink at Caleb in this game. Or maybe, like, if they want to really change things up, maybe they won't, like, blitz as much and kind of see how he can react to just playing in structure. I don't know. I just think it's going to be a fascinating chess match. Our former colleague, Steven Rees, would always talk about how Brian Flores is kind of like the, that little, like, sign of, like, are you talking about tall enough to ride the ride at the quarterback position? And if you're a big boy, you can beat what Flores is doing. But all the quarterbacks that are, like, not really good enough to cut it just get absolutely put through the, like, the wood chipper. And then it takes guys like Stafford and, like, better quarterbacks can really shred it. But it's like, if you don't know what you're looking at, it looks just absolutely, like, quarterbacks can't handle it. And I think Caleb is good enough to shred it. Last year, I agree with you, I think, in the way that he's made jumps each year. I think in what we saw last week, I agree. I think he can handle it. But last year, in those two games, he completed 55% of his passes, averaged 200 yards passing a game, and had just one touchdown with a 78 passer rating. 43% pressure rate. They played them week one. One of their two games was week one, the very first game with Ben Johnson and Caleb. So that was, like, the McCartney game. That was the one they lost. Yes. And so, you know, I might throw that one out a little. They won. They beat Minnesota in week 11 last year, right? Yeah, they beat them 19-17 in week 11. But, yeah, I think, you know, what we saw last year or last week from the Vikings, 78% of the dropbacks for the Packers the Vikings blitzed. They were just sending the house. That's crazy. 78% of dropbacks. So, basically, you know, and by the way, on the one, on the throws or dropbacks that they didn't blitz, Jordan Love was completely ineffective. He was completely out of sorts. Yeah. Because I think he was just expecting, it's like, you know, where someone is expecting something and they don't know what to do and they don't know what to do. It doesn't happen. Like, even when they didn't blitz, I think his numbers were absolutely atrocious. And so. Yeah, it's like telling someone, I'm going to scare the shit out of you in the next week. Yeah. And you just go about your day and every time you round the corner, you're like, is it there? Yeah. That's the question someone asked Ben Johnson at his press conference this week. They're like, since you've gone against Brian, because obviously Ben Johnson was with Detroit before, he's like, you've gone against Brian Flores so many times that do you think that you're like, I know what he's going to do but I'm wondering how many layers deep does it go? And the other thing I want to say, also Jordan Mason, the Vikings running back is on injured reserve with a broken thumb. So I think if you have Aaron Jones, you play Aaron Jones this week because he's going to get a ton of touches. They signed, they have Damon Claiborne who's a rookie but they have DJ Dallas signed and I feel like he's going to end up rotating in just. Yeah, I think he'll play in front of Claiborne. Yeah. At least that's what they were doing in the preseason. And obviously Kyler Murray has a concussion. We'll see. I'm kind of surprised that Kyler Murray, I just, we'll see what happens. I feel like Carson Wentz should play this game but we'll see if it's Kyler Murray or Carson Wentz. Either way, I am a little dubious of either to be honest. Yeah. You guys think you're still not playing someone like Jordan Addison despite playing the Bears defense? I think he. Zero points last week. He had zero points but also Carson Wentz came. I think the Bears, the chance that the Bears are just a shootout team this year, I would play Jordan Addison. I'm willing to. I mean, it depends on your options obviously but I'm not like you have to bench him because there's a chance that this game is an absolute shootout and the Bears can't stop even Carson Wentz. I mean, do you guys feel. I mean, Justin Jefferson, obviously. I have fantasy face blindness for Jordan Addison so I'm just not going to start him because I never see him there. I think there are worse. There's worse process than picking the number two on an offense playing the Bears, honestly. I think that's somewhat sound and if you go down that way, I don't think that's super regrettable. I think Wentz or Kyler, yeah, this week in particular, I think it's worth it. I also want to just note, pro football talk at this, Caleb is one touchdown away from throwing 50 touchdown passes before he throws 15 interceptions which the only quarterbacks to do that are Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson. Wow. Wow. Yeah. By the way, this is one of those rain games, right? Chicago weather is supposed to be 75% precipitation on Sunday. I think everything east of the Mississippi is like you have to check the weather this week to be honest. Could get messy. But Steelers at Patriots. That's right. Speaking of east of the Mississippi, my one stat is not a stat. It's a question. Okay. And the question is, is the week two wide receiver lineup for New England the worst set of wide receivers Drake May has ever had? Oh, interesting because it was real bad last year for a while. It was. But last year, he had Stephon Diggs and Keyshawn Booty. Right, right. This year, he has, or this week, he has no A.J. Brown. He has no Diggs. He has no Booty. That sounds funny. But he has Romeo Dobbs. He has Matt Collins, Kyle Williams, and Demario Douglas. Those are the four receivers that Drake May has heading into week two. Even in college, he had Josh Downs. Seriously. So, look, I think where I'm at with this is I would probably like to nominate Romeo Dobbs as like a screaming by-low. Oh, I think this is a good call, Craig. I think Romeo Dobbs is good. I think he's been good his whole career. And I thought he was really reliable in Green Bay and is a good player and he had a really, really bad drop on a big third down and they cut to him 10 times on the bench because Mike Vrabel paid the broadcast to just show somebody else screwing up, I think. And so it was, and Romeo Dobbs was like devastated. He was like so upset with himself. He's a very good player. The Patriots gave him $68 million. So I would say that, you know, I don't think Joey Porter is playing in this game, the cornerback for the Steelers. The Steelers and him are in this weird standoff right now where the Steelers didn't give him a contract in the offseason and now they have a rule where they, they won't sign anybody after the season begins and now Porter's not on the injured list anymore so now they're almost like making Porter look bad because he's kind of deciding not to play because he's not hurt. So. Well, his back hurts or it was hurting. It was hurting but now that's not the case. Now he's off the injury report. Now he's pulling landscaping duty. That's right. My fingers hurt. So anyway, I wanted to nominate Dobbs as an option. I would also say Travion Henderson is back, the running back for New England who I would be a little bit nervous about starting Henderson I think. Yeah. He had big pops last year and could like and won people many weeks but the Patriots could not run the ball last week. They had the lowest yards per carry in the NFL last week. 2.6 yards per carry and the Steelers have a pretty good run D and they looked good and I actually thought they did a decent job against Bijan on the ground. So, I'm a little nervous about. I think this game is going to be more ugly than fun I guess is my prediction. I can see that as well. I'm jealous of the Dobbs. I'm jealous of the Dobbs take because you're right that that's one of those the Dobbs drop if it happened in a game at 1 p.m. Easter. Sorry, I'm not trying to dig at you guys. If it happened in the early slate amid eight other games, it wouldn't be such a huge narrative that Dobbs cost them this game as opposed to being the first game of the season and we'd probably just be like A.J. Brown was hurt so Romeo Dobbs is probably going to be playing pretty well but because he had a terrible game the most obvious answer is the free agent that they gave a giant contract to who had a bad week one will probably be the number one guy for the next five weeks while AJ Brown's out. 100%. I very much agree with that. I also think that like Ramondre is not as good of a, or is Ramondre Stevenson such a better pass protector than Traven Henderson? And I think they're going to need it against Pittsburgh. So I just, and Travion's coming off this ankle thing. I feel like it's more likely that Travion has like seven or eight carries in this game than he does like 14. How are you feeling about this game, Craig, with the Steelers? I mean, I think the Patriots overall as a team are a good sort of bounce back team this week because of a really crappy week one against a really great defense in Seattle. How are you feeling about this game in particular? I think the Steelers have a shot, to be honest with you. I think the Steelers are a pretty good roster, and I think I do. I think Rodgers played well. That's what my dad says about every game. He's like, I think they have a shot. I'm like, yeah, the spread's like four points. Well, I would say that most people see the sticker price of this game, and just looking at Patriots versus Steelers, they would say, oh my God, Patriots are going to win this game. But I don't know. I just think Rodgers played better than people think last week, and I think the defensive line's really good, and I think their defense in general is really good, and I don't know. I think they beat the Patriots last year. I think the game will be close. We're going to learn a lot about the Steelers this week. That's right. One person I want to shout out on the Pittsburgh offense is DK Metcalf, who had a horrible week one. I asked Craig halfway through the game when it was like really close. The Falcons were kind of sticking with them late into the fourth quarter. I was like, how are the Steelers not dominating this game? And Craig just responds, DK Metcalf. 100%. He had like three crucial boneheaded plays, just dimes by Rodgers that he dropped. But I just want to say that the Steelers are using DK Metcalf differently this year than they were last year. Very differently. Last year, he was just running down the sideline, and now he's doing a lot more over the middle stuff, crossing routes, slants. They're moving him around more. His air yards per target were way up in week one. It was like 17 versus 10 last year. So even though he didn't have a great game, and I think this week he might get shadowed by Christian Gonzalez and might not have a good game, I think DK Metcalf is the number one in the Steelers' offense. I just realized something. You know, there's a chance, and it sounds like a joke, but I'm serious, that the version of, you know, when Cooper Cup was having breakfast with Matt Stafford every morning and we're like, ah, whatever, who cares? Yeah, they're conspiracy browns, Rodgers and DK. There's a chance that DK Metcalf is saying, I think there's a city underneath Antarctica. Was actually a signal that he's the most underrated receiver in fantasy football because I fear that we actually really underrated the difference between Aaron Rodgers signing with the Steelers last year in June and like how much Aaron Rodgers requires being on the same page to throw anyone the ball versus having like way more time this year and like doing all that offseason work in the second year. There's a chance actually that relationship like he's just, trust him to be where he needs to be and we'll throw in the ball like way more frequently. Fantasy points, the strongest R factor or whatever in fantasy points, the strongest correlator for Aaron Rodgers fantasy points is how willing are you to sit down and just listen to him talk about stuff? How long will you sit there and nod when he's talking about a civilization under Antarctica? Yeah, because it could really go two ways. Either DK Metcalf is gullible and impressionable and it's like that, really? Wow, Antarctica, underneath Antarctica is or he's a genius. Yeah, he's like, I'm going to sit down, listen to all his bullshit, say I agree and I'll be the number one target on the team. It's like the usual suspect's limp turns into a walk thing. Yeah, that's DK Metcalf. Shout out my quarterback. That's not bad. Okay, the Philadelphia Eagles are playing the Tennessee Titans this week. My one fact for this game, do you guys know how many passing yards Jalen Hurts had on first down last week? Oh, I bet it's great question. How many? Zero. Zero. I couldn't believe it. That's awesome. I'm telling you, I watched when I, I watched every single snap because of Saquon. When I have a guy on a team like that, I spent a lot of money on or picked her. I will watch every goddamn snap like intensely and I was furious about the Eagles offense. Yeah, I, so this is the most unwatchable game maybe of the year. So I was going to say the Eagles Titans is the three and out bowl. Like these teams the last year or so have gone three and out as much as any team. Like they're up there with the Raiders and the Browns for going three and out. And again, I think what it really comes down to is it's the Eagles go and that's what it comes down to. How does the tush push team go three and out like that? It doesn't make sense, right? It's first down is the Eagles problem because when the Eagles two years ago were Saquon's getting five yards of carry or whatever, then the Eagles are in second and five and then you just run again and then you have three plays to get five yards. But when the Eagles get second and nine, then they run it again and it's third and eight and then Jalen Hurts just throws up a deep ball on the sideline to Devante Smith and then it works up two of the two of the six times and the other ones they just punt. And so that's the issue to that point. I couldn't believe this last week Philadelphia averaged 1.95 yards per play on first down 1.95 1.95 yards is five feet 10 inches. That's me. That's like I'm five 10 you falling down. If I stood on the line of scrimmage and fell forward, that is how far the Eagles gained on first down last week. I love that visual. I think it's just tipped over what's that Simpsons meme just through the way if I'm just if they just threw me forward if I did the tush push and just fell down that's the Eagles first down dare. I say not good enough. Yeah it sucked. You're the three and I think it's funny because that means they couldn't even get to a fourth and one because if you get to fourth and one, wouldn't they just so it's really like they only need eight yards really not eight nine yards and they can't get that even exactly. That's the thing it's this is the answer is yada yada yada offensive line and the offensive line is not the same Landon Dickerson's gone into injured reserve, which I don't even know if I want to say that's a downgrade because he just was playing hurt. He was trying to tough it out. He's one of the toughest players in the entire league and he just played last week and literally after the game was like I'm not me I have to go to injured reserve. It wasn't like anything happened as much as he doesn't have the juice and I don't think again. I don't think he's been him and Lane Johnson ran into each other week one last year and the Eagles haven't been the same since and I that is like the issue. So there's a world the Eagles get better if not playing landed Dickerson just because he's not healthy. But overall, that's what it all comes down to is first down the Eagles have to figure out how to run the ball. And if they can't then they start got to start doing play action because they were dead last in play action last last week to like it was like 8% so they have to just get yards on first down so they can get to the unstoppable fourth down play, which maybe that's not unstoppable either because of the line anymore, but the Eagles lines not special anymore. Yep. That's the other thing I'd say is I actually want to ask you guys. Part of me is like I want should we just not rank the Titans this week? Like we were talking about season long with Kyle Pitts and Marvin Harrison like we put out rankings and part of me was looking at them and I'm like, is there any world you're actually going to play Cornell Tate this week versus the Eagles? Unfortunately, no, we can't not rank them because it'll look like an error but we should almost like like a big sign at the top that says no Titans. I'm looking at it. I'm like they have to go somewhere, but I would feel horrible playing them this week. Like I just feel a disgusting. Yeah, that's how I feel about like Tony Pollard to or yeah, it's just like he's just going to run into a brick wall. There's no way half the time and then they're splitting. He's playing reps way more with Tajay Spears this year than he was last year. I don't really trust this offense to get going. Yeah, it's pretty grim so far, but obviously that's just one week for the Titans. Maybe Cam Ward will turn it around, but this is a really tough matchup. Great. The Eagles have a really good defense. It's just this is going to be a slog. Well, I'm curious to watch the game and just see if they get more than five foot ten inches downfield. Okay. Craig was the next game for the early slate Packers Jets. This game's in New York in New Jersey. My stat is that Gino Smith had the least amount of pressures against him in week one out of any quarterback in the NFL. Gino Smith was pressured the least six times he was pressured. He was sacked zero times, which is not something I typically think of when I think of a Jets offense or a Jets quarterback, right? I thought I had to start Gino Smith in this game for reasons that I am not proud of, but so I watched a lot of the Jets game and I thought he looked sharp. I thought his connection with Garrett Wilson was legit and they just ran the ball in both times they scored. So his stats didn't look that good. Sadiq and Brees Hall had touchdowns, but the Jets were fourth in explosive pass rate in week one and they're playing now Green Bay. They're at home. The Packers let up three touchdowns to Carson Wentz. I think like my overall thought going into this game is like, obviously you look at this and you're like, I mean, this spread is not as big as you would expect. I think the spread is four and a half. Is that still there? Three and a half. It's three and a half. The Jets are only three and a half point underdogs at home against the Packers. And you would think Jets Packers, this should be eight. And it's because I think the Jets might not be terrible. And it's hard to say that because they just played the Titans. So it's like, that's why this is a real, we're going to learn a lot about this team in week two. But Green Bay was messy, man. Green Bay could not run the ball. 15% of their yards in week one came from rushing. 15% of their total yards came from rushing, which was their lowest since 2023. Marshawn Lloyd was very underwhelming. He looked underwhelming. The other thing I want to flag for this game, I know it might rain for this game, for the Jets Packers game. And I bring that up for a couple reasons. We always joke about it during the combine, but Marshawn Lloyd had small hands and he fumbled a lot in college. And it's games like this where that matters. And so I think the running game, like I'm a little skeptical because they don't have a ton of other options. Can I also, I want to make a, can I tell you guys something? I think this is the game the Jets get an interception. I think it's going to happen this week. All right. I really do. Long awaited. This is a huge game for the Packers, too, because the Jets, it would be so obviously incredible to start 2-0 after they've been such a mess for a long time. But Green Bay losing to the Jets would quietly be like a real. I don't know if it's rock bottom because the Bears eliminated them for the playoffs, but the Jets making you go 0-2 after the Bears eliminated you for the rock bottom. Packers have had it pretty good for a long time. And this would be really bad, but I don't really believe in the Packers' offensive line or defensive line and LeFleur's decision-making. I mean, I actually don't mind. Austin wrote a great piece for The Ringer this week where he pointed out LeFleur going for it on fourth down. He took the field goal off the board and went for it. It's kind of a. It makes sense. You'll get more points that way than not. The problem is the play sucked. And I just. I don't. I just don't believe in Green Bay. I don't think they have a lot of blue-chip talent. There's no, like, elite guys. It's really anywhere on this roster. And that bothers me a lot. The. Yeah. The Packers' offensive line, I think, is also. I mean, it's tough because Minnesota blitzed, like, 80% of the game. But I was really unimpressed with Green Bay's offensive line. Like, they were getting blown up. He was pressured. Jordan Love was pressured 25 times. He was hit 15 times in this game. So I'm a little nervous. Maybe this will be a classic, like, it's the Packers. They win 10 games every year. Jordan Love, Matt LaFleur, don't overthink it. And they're playing the Jets. But I'm a little more interested in this matchup than I thought. It would be. It would be nice to see a Packers get-right game where they just beat the Jets. But they have a talent deficit in the trenches, arguably on both sides. Both Jets' lines are probably better than both Packers' lines by a good bit. And that usually decides games. As long as. I mean, it depends if Gino turns the ball over. Do you think Caleb Johnson is a hold in any way in fantasy on the Packers or no? It depends on your league size. I kind of. I think I do. The fact that Marshawn Lloyd, before last week, had gotten how many touches in two years? Like nine? Yeah, like nine or eight. Barely plays. That's not the kind of. He's been injured all over. I think Caleb Johnson, he was a good kick returner. He could eventually get snaps. It depends because I think even if you end up. If I end up being right and I think Caleb Johnson gets the job eventually, I kind of don't think Green Bay is going to be able to run the ball anyway. We'll see what happens with Josh Jacobs. Who knows what's happening there? But I think by the time Caleb comes back, he'll probably start for two weeks. Not get 80 yards. And then be back behind Josh Jacobs. So I kind of think the Packers aren't going to be able to run the ball anyway. Yeah. To circle around what Craig initially started with, very encouraged from what Geno Smith did in week one. And I can't wait to see if he can keep this up. Having a decent offensive line, decent to good offensive line, a few good weapons in the passing game, a decent run game with Brees Hall and Braylon Allen. He completed almost 80% of his passes and he was. Eighth in EPA per dropback in week one. Obviously, a lot of variables here, but it was a very sharp start for him. Yeah. The next game is the Cleveland Browns are at Tampa Bay. And I don't know if this is a fact as much as I would like to suggest a cosmic note to this game. Okay. The Browns ditched Baker Mayfield, the number one pick for them. Mm-hmm. The Browns ditched Baker Mayfield to get Deshaun Watson. And now this week, Baker Mayfield is probably going to beat the Browns so that they bench Deshaun Watson probably forever. Wow, yeah. Baker will literally, after being kicked out of Cleveland for Deshaun, Baker has a very good chance to end Deshaun Watson's tenure in Cleveland this week. Well, I mean, come on. It's like unfair. The expectations are so high for Deshaun. Like they're expecting him to throw for 400 yards and five touchdowns every week. Like that's ridiculous. Dude, that quote. So Deshaun actually said that this week for people who did not know. He was like, the media wants me to throw for 400 yards and five touchdowns every week. The media has this expectation that I'm supposed to throw for 400 yards and five. It's like, you know what? You're the only quarterback ever who got a fully guaranteed contract and they give you 200 plus million dollars guaranteed. Yeah. They do expect you to throw for 400 yards every fucking game. How about 400 yards every two games? That'd be, that'd be nice. So I, this was also my other stat here because I couldn't believe that quote. I thought it was the most. Deshaun Watson might be the most disconnected person from reality in the entire NFL and including Aaron Rodgers. But Deshaun Watson, forget a single game. Deshaun Watson has not thrown for five touchdowns in a calendar month in four and a half years. Damn. Really? Yes. Brutal. Really? It was amazingly, it was with the Browns when he first came back, but that was like, the 2022 was the end of the, like 2022. It was a long time ago. He might have three and a half years. You probably won't. But again, the big dish between everything Deshaun Watson said about the fan, basically saying I'd rather be on the road than home this season. I think they're going to play him. And honestly, I actually believe the conspiracy. I kind of wonder if I, I don't know. I just, I think the Browns want him gone. And I think Shador, they want to come to the home games as like, look, we got rid of Deshaun Watson. Deshaun should, or they just pray that he's going to play well. We don't have to belabor this game. I think it's wheels up for Tampa. They're there. They lost a close game in week one. They're going to be motivated. The Browns Baker thing is extra motivation. I think the Bucks are going to be, they're at home. I think they're going to dominate great defense to start in fantasy. There is a, yeah, I agree. The last thing I'll say, there's a chance. Let's say Deshaun loses and that they, he's benched the rest of the season. There's a chance. My one stat comes from fantasy points. It's Bijan Robinson had 54% of the team. The team's overall expected fantasy points in week one. He was the offense in week one. Literally, it was a run to Bijan or a pass to Bijan against the Steelers. He had 10 targets in the passing game. He had like a 67% or 70% of the team's expected fantasy points. That's a lot of fantasy points in passing. So that is kind of wild. Obviously, there's a huge variable here in who is going to be the starting quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons. And that is, it's between Cooper Rush and Michael Panics, who came back to practice this week. He has been getting some reps with the first team. So I think there is quite a bit of uncertainty whether Panics is healthy enough to play this week or if they're going to kind of wait again. But I mean, the Bijan thing, the usage for Bijan is about as good as it possibly can get. And that's a lot of uncertainty. And that is really exciting because we talked about this before the season. Like, why do we have Bijan ranked so high when he's on a terrible offense with a bad quarterback? That's why. That's why. 54% of the team's expected fantasy points. And he, I mean, honestly, he looked awesome. And he made some incredible plays. I don't think you can expect him to get that type of volume every single week. But this is the answer to the question of why did we have Bijan ranked second? He's the outlier. Yeah. He's the exception that proves the rule. Typically, you don't want that. Sure. I, watching Bijan, this is maybe irresponsible. Watching Bijan, I was kind of wondering if Bijan in the open field is the best running back I've seen since Adrian Peterson. Like, just the way he moves. And I love Jameer Gibbs. There's Saquon, there's Christian McCaffrey. But watching Bijan last week, I was like, I can't believe how good he is with the ball in his hands. It is unbelievable. Honestly, you know, that Rams game, Monday Night Football last week, 17. Bijan is somehow underrated because the Falcons suck. Yeah. But it's like, if he's on a better team, he should be the most famous player in the NFL. I agree. It's a bummer that he's probably not going to be on a good team for a couple more years. This could be a weirdly good fantasy game for both teams. Like, you wouldn't expect the Panthers and Falcons to be, like, a good fantasy game. But, like, Bijan, obviously, with the Falcons, I don't know, you know, what we're going to expect, if anything, from London or Pitts on that side of the football. But, like, the Panthers' offense was a lot better than I expected last week against a bad Bears defense. And I think they could have some success again in this game, too. Fantasy-wise, Bijan, obviously, you're playing. Do you play any other Falcons? I don't think you can play Kyle Pitts. He did not have a catch last week. No, I wouldn't. I probably would not play Pitts, and I would begrudgingly play London because I think it's a lot better. So, Michael Penix Jr. is now splitting reps at first team with Cooper Rush, and Tua's hurt and not even playing anymore. And that's a weird situation. situation. so it's like either michael pennix sailing into this game which makes no sense to me after barely practicing he's gonna come in and take live reps because the falcons next week play thursday night so he's gonna like miss two games if he misses this game but also michael pennix playing with no reps makes no sense to me but there's a chance cooper rush comes in and plays this game in the next and i'm like i don't even are you serious are you playing drake london with cooper rush because i'm a little scared i mean obviously it's nerve-wracking but i probably would this is a panther team that just gave up 59 points so um even i know it's a very different offense but i do think there's a big difference between the steelers um steelers defense and the panthers defense yeah fair enough pits though i would not play if i had to give one brief mini stat on the panther side of things uh this came from ian harditz that the last seven games that jalen coker and ted mcmillan have played together oh yeah coker has 12 more catches at 150 more yards yeah i mean he's the de facto number one in this offense i which is he has an ankle injury but he's like he's they expect him to play this week yeah so i think you kind of gotta play him if he's coker's the parker washington of carolina yeah totally the other thing is also he has also just hasn't played a bad game and longer than you think bryce young like it's weird because bryce young again certain like the niners money in a football game last year was looked like a middle schooler and then it's like but the flip side is the panthers really should have beat the rams twice last year they beat him in the regular season and really should have beat the rams in the playoffs and then we just like completely dismissed that performance yeah but bryce young played well i thought he played okay last week and so i'm curious but atlanta is also like a toothless pass rush because they james pierce jr suspended jaylen walker's out for the season they lost another defensive tackle this week like that was already a weak defensive line that's kind of down three of their best five guys already it's it think on the raven's way you can start inside of things i i think there is a chance that derrick henry has like 290 yards and four touchdowns in this game he might get 40 carries it doesn't know jacoby lane for baltimore i don't know if there's going to be zay flowers so it's rashad bateman it's eli sarat and it's mark andrews and that's it jameer gibbs last week versus uh the saints had 150 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries um everyone associated with this game i would like to have on my team i mean it's not looking like zay is going to play he did not practice on wednesday or last eight games uh in that stretch he has a hundred and fifteen pass rating his epa for dropback would have been best in the nfl over the full season last year uh he's an incredible they're 51 success rate which was third which would have been third last year uh and a 18 explosive play rate so he is dealing um and the the jags are seven to one in that stretch by the way the only game they lost was the wild card game against the bills last year um they're averaging 33 points a game 350 yards per game in that stretch and have 31 touchdowns in eight games so this is it this is the hot one of the hottest off offenses in the nfl if not the hottest i mean obviously the bears what they did last week was pretty damn impressive but the the the jags are kind of right there in terms of what they're doing on offense just buzzsaw offense right now and i can't wait to see how they they play against a really good defense in the in denver can i steal you know how craig just said that if cam ward was doing what tyler shuck was doing we'd be freaking out yeah if justin herbert had done what trevor lawrence has done since thanksgiving there would be no that's correct that's exactly right oh my god it is un like trevor how long seaman left how long does trevor lawrence need to play like this until he gets a fraction of the respect that justin herbert like we kind of thrust upon him too because the jags and broncos of all the teams in the nfl did any teams change from last season less than the jags and broncos the jags lost travis h and i get that but like the broncos did very little they added jaylen waddle but they like make very literal in the treaty of like marvin nims because they didn't want to they added they traded for him and then he didn't Make him a part of the game plan. My one stat is that the Dallas defense was the only defense that didn't allow a three and out last week. Hell yeah, man. That's just the, don't think about it. That's just how good the Giants are. The Giants are an unstoppable machine. Nothing they could have done. Cowboys were also the only team in week one that allowed a first down or touchdown on every single opponent possession. They allowed a 79% completion rate and 10% touchdown rate, 24th in pressure rate. It was an absolute mess. This is a mini shootout week, I think. I don't think the Commanders looked very good last week against Philly, but Philly's defense is one of the best in the league. I expect, like I would be playing Terry McLaurin this week. I think you could play Stefan Diggs this week. I would like to expect a bounce back from Dallas as well. You know, the Commanders made the Eagles explosive plays look like the Bears. The Eagles had. They had five plays of 20 or more yards last week against Philly. So I like, I like everybody in this game. I even think the one person I would like to highlight is the rookie Antonio Williams, who did not play very much. He only, he played like 30% of the snaps and he only had four targets, but he caught all four targets and he had 64 yards in a touchdown. I thought that guy jumped off the screen to me and I thought he looked good and he looked legit. And I think he's, he's a real player. I totally agree with you, Craig. He exact, pretty much exact same analysis. He just. Just jumped off the screen and he just moves a little bit different than everybody else on the, he, he gives off almond raw vibes a lot. I think it's, he's the same number. I want to say is almond raw 14. And I don't know. He just kind of has that, that Genesee qual, whatever. It just makes him, he just looks like he's going to be a real player. And I think they need to, I think they played him like 30% of the time or something like that. And you get, and maybe on sleeper app or like some apps, you can get an extra bench spot for, you can just kind of add Antonio Williams before the game. The second most, sorry, they have the second most take takeaways. They have the third best opponent pass rating, second best stats, uh, second best in sacks, second best in quarterback hits. And they're doing all that with the fifth lowest blitz rate. So they're, they're dominating all the most important stats and they're not blitzing to do it, which I think is just such a fascinating thing in today's NFL where blitzing and kind of exotic stuff is, is the deal. This is the Seahawks are exotic in a different way. Um, and basically what they do is they confuse the hell out of a quarterback because the quarterback never knows who's coming on a pass rush. And even though they have, like, usually it's like four guys that will rush the passer. You just never know which four it's going to be. DK, this is an interesting game because I'm kind of fascinated by Arizona, the spread of the same, the spread in this game, Seahawks are only favored by four and a half points. Yep.
