Cover 3 is presented by our friends at PNC Bank who would like to remind you that seemingly boring plays both in football and in banking are what can lead to big wins. Your body always notices the weather change before you do and that seasonal shift usually means energy slumps and wellness slips. My friend decided to get ahead of it this year with grooms and they are completely hooked. They say taking them feels like a treat, because they taste exactly like fruit gummy bears, yet they replace a shelf full of supplements. Grounds combines 20+ vitamins and minerals with 60 whole food ingredients to cover all your bases. If you are taking GLP ones or simply cutting back on calories, eating less can make it tough to meet your daily nutrient goals. Grounds fixes that while providing 6 grams of prebiotic fiber to keep your digestion on track. That's triple the fiber of leading greens powders. Every serving features ingredients backed by over 35,000 research publications to support immunity, hair, nails and focus. Their vegan, low carb, low sugar and even HSA FSA eligible. My friend has been taking grooms for a couple months and this is why they love them. Save up to 61% off with free gifts with code "cover at grooms.co" that's gruns.co. We recently took a family trip down to Nashville and made sure to enjoy as much of the cities we could while we're there. We walked around downtown, spent some time checking out all the live music and of course my favorite moment, the local barbecue. It was one of those trips where we got to spend some quality time together, get out of our normal routine and experience a lot of what makes Nashville such a fun place to visit. And honestly, while we were away enjoying all of that, it got me thinking about how our place back home was just sitting empty, whether you're heading out for a family trip, a quick getaway or an extended holiday, you could list your space on Airbnb and turn the time your way into a chance to earn a little extra cash. And if something big like a sporting event, concert or festival is coming to your area, that can mean a lot of travelers are looking for places to stay. Listing your space on Airbnb gives them a chance to experience your city like a local while helping you earn cash that you can put toward your own upcoming travel. Your home might be worth more than you think. Find out how much at Airbnb.com/host. Welcome back to the Cover 3 podcast with your host, Chip Patterson, Tom Fonelli, Danny Cannell, and Bob Elliott. And then James I think is absolutely spot on. He's just here for the producer picks because the producer pick has been introduced this year and they're absolutely in Fuego, Striker and Taft. They will have something coming for you by the end of the show. Imagine we'll get our dental hygiene addressed, right? At some point. Bud? I think so, we will definitely have some dental hygiene and we need to get stuff cleaned up there. I guess that's right, also we will have hopefully we'll get admitted in to clubkins. We are currently waiting outside, we'll see a VIP let's us in, we've done all the proper tipping and bribing, we'll see if it pays off. Okay, let's begin as we always do with a look back at the week that was Bud Elliot 6 and 3 week for you and proven you to 8 and 3 overall. Probably most importantly was hitting that three star lock with the Clemson team total under 20 and a half, but the wins were Miami first half minus 13 and a half, you tap first half team total under one and a half, the Clemson team total under that we just mentioned Georgia minus 47, Wisconsin Notre Dame first half under 24 and a half, two lane, Duke under 51 and a half, the losses would be Boise first half team total under 6 and a half, the Louisville Ole Miss under 55 and a half, the Indiana first half team total over 27 and a push on SMU minus three on Monday night in Tallahassee. Bud heads are just storming the gates right now, they're so fired up for the 8 and 3 start to the season and the big splash on the cover three lock, what's on your notepad looking at week one? Overall, most everything went basically as I thought, obviously Louisville Ole Miss turned to a shootout second half, so did not really see that coming, but maybe I should have. Indiana first half team total just didn't get enough possessions, they scored touchdowns basically every time they got the ball, SMU, if you could bet that again, you bet your house on that, but also I got lucky to hit the U-tap, actually, they moved the ball okay and kept Oklahoma balanced a little bit, they were almost playing a little bit vanilla times and those misfeel goals certainly helped, so I think it's a fair result for the handicap work. Strong week, you are the leader, you do have a special shout out for the tailgate, don't you? I do, we want to wish Matt Thompson who hosts us last year at the live show at Madison Social, which is like, I mean, absolutely the best place to go until I have to see a happy birthday, so happy birthday Matt. Happy birthday Matt, took good care of me too, I was just up there on Sunday night for the game against SMU, it's guys the best. I had my, I had my cold beers and gator tears pint glass that he gave me out on Monday night. It didn't bring as much luck, you know, as it could have, but hey, kept me, kept me rocking a roll until 1 a.m. when I had to turn in my riding excitement at the end of the game, so thank you Matt, happy birthday, two and seven, rough week for me, no other way to put it. The only wins were mostly principles, Indiana fourth quarter minus seven and a half and Notre Dame leave no doubt. Those were the only two wins. The losses were Georgia Tech first half minus three and a half Toledo, Michigan State under 47 and a half, Boise team total under 13 and a half ECU, Alabama first half under 28 and a half Boston College minus seven and a half and Cal plus two and upon review going back, the main issue was my ACC tinted glasses, because I do think that the Georgia Tech miss and the Boston College miss really could have been avoided. Those are my fault, hand up, we're just going back to work, we're trying to get better. Two and seven really sets me back and the three star swing the other way. I don't regret my Wyoming Colorado State play. That thing was looking cozy, deep into the second half, but that's the way it goes sometimes. Three units lost on that one play has me at five and eight for the season, Danny, four and four a week for you pushing it around a little bit. Unfortunately, three star lock ends up going negative, but the wins. Let's celebrate them. Colorado Georgia Tech first half under 26 and a half, Louisville plus seven. Miami Stanford over 47 and a half Wisconsin first half plus 11 and a half. The losses were the Boise team total under 13 and a half. We're also on that one, then the LSU Clemson under 50 and a half, the Michigan minus 27 and a half, which comes with all kinds of conversation we can or cannot, you know, relitigate if you want. And then Auburn minus seven, that game against Baylor, so four and four for the week five and six for the season, what are we taking away from week one? There was only, I mean, obviously the Clemson LSU one was a tough one when LSU almost hits that number on themselves. The other Michigan clearly on the wrong side of that one, then Auburn, I can just get Byron Brown to stop their own picks. That would have been, I thought Auburn was the better football team, but hey, come up on the wrong side. Six and three week for Tom for Nellie tied for the best week record wise, but three star hits the other way. This is an interesting wrinkle, new wrinkle after we've been doing a lock show for seven, eight, nine years and what, you know, the podcast has changed names. This is totally new and look, credit to blood. He's out racing, but Tom's got those six wins to celebrate. So let's do it. LSU minus 10, Louisville plus seven. You get to Tennessee minus 46 and a half, South Carolina minus 35 and a half Baylor, Auburn under 59, Boston College, Cincinnati under 50 and a half. The only losses were that three star on Wisconsin Notre Dame after the classless touchdown. Indiana minus 40 and a half, Ball State plus 51 couldn't hold that 51 point lead. What's on your, what's on your notepad? Nothing. I thought it was a good week overall. Don't regret any of the picks. Ball State had it covered until very late Ohio State put one little more score on the board. And then I mean, Notre Dame just had too many playmakers in the end for Wisconsin. They put up that classless touchdown in the fourth quarter when they could have just knelt it out and ended the game, but you know, sometimes you got to do what you got to do, I guess. I mean, better to have complaints if you go in six and three. I agree. feel like for the people at home. Bed out. how you want to bet, I would not really advise like flat betting everything and then triple betting something else unless you have like a real, real reason to know you got a killer. Producer picks are continue to be white hot. As I mentioned, Wisconsin team total under 13 and a half comes home there. One and two for the dentist, he gets that Louisville Ole Miss first half under 28 and a half. But yeah, Clemson, Clemson minus 10 and a half, that one was a, the Clemson Ole Miss double play might have been just a little bit, a little bit too emotional, but I'm not, I'm not, you're not with your feelings there. Yeah, I'm not going to diagnose, I'm not the doctor here. And then Club Kins 2 and O, Nevada whole, whole, and Nevada just absolutely smack in the toppers around and then James Madison, tight cover, but gets it done. All right, score all that behind us, eyes ahead, gentlemen. We all ready to lock it up? Yes, sir. Since 2005, the under in games between services is 40, 9 and 1. Give me an over and this one as well, little two for one special. I was sicker last week, y'all were watching the good games. I was live betting a hill at a UL in Kentucky. My blue plate special five star locks are coming. Five star master locks. Lock it. I'm living and dying at every point, every cover. From the locking chair to your eyes and ears, let's get this thing started. By the way, if you miss the Cover 3 lock show, we always encourage you to watch on youtube.com/cover3, but if you want to get back and get a little bit more Saturday morning activity, I noticed our friends at CBS Sports HQ had the Cover 3 locks. The Saturday edition running in advance, Danny of y'all's incredible coverage on college football pregame. So that was awesome. Very cool that it's another opportunity for folks to get in and come get these locks. So let's begin with our Thursday and Friday, just six games on the slate, one on Thursday with Miami against the ratlers, then Louisville against Villanova, Virginia against Norfolk and C-State against Richmond, then a couple of power conference, power conference battles with BC and Rutgers in Chestnut Hill and then Kansas and Missouri board a war back in action. Thursday and Friday, let's go ahead and open it up. Who's got a lock? Yeah, he's just everybody or is it? No one? Okay, go Danny. I do. I have a little theme this weekend across the board. We had a little rivalry match up there, a little board award taking place between Kansas and Missouri. Noah Maud Hardy still waiting for him to come back, also an issue on the offensive line. And guess who's back in Kansas? Andy Colton, Nikki, dialing up some ball plays for Kansas J-Hawks. Probably more please. They went with Isaiah Marshall as the starter over Cole Bauer. The line I think is a little bit fishy, but you got a home dog and a rivalry one, rivalry match up, catching five and a half. I'm going to go ahead and take Kansas in the first half plus three and a half in this one. So I'm going to take the first half, expecting it to be close. Colton, Nikki, dialing up some of those plays. I do worry a little bit about Missouri pulling away late. I don't hate the whole game either, but I just think you get that kind of home field advantage for the J-Hawks early. So I'm going to take Kansas in the first half plus three and a half. You don't just walk into David Booth Memorial Stadium. Are you kidding me? I've got something here. I'll take total. Anybody on that side in agreement or on the other side of Danny in the board of war? I liked over earlier in the week, but it moved. So not a lock created for me. Step up and put your pants on, man. Over 50 and a half. Let's go. We've got a Missouri defense that's been totally retooled. I think that Kansas running back, you've seen Willis transfer from Syracuse checked a lot of boxes. You mentioned the Andy Codal, Nikki, part of this. I think that they are going to be able to find some explosive plays and dial it up to be able to put some points on the scoreboard and on the other side. I'm a little concerned about this Kansas secondary because Donovan Aluba Day had himself a day for Missouri season opener and you've got these players. Well, I think that I'm starting to, I'm starting to just sort of grade Eli Drinkwitz and his staff as being able to not just have that first mover advantage. We talked about with the NIL and the state laws, but just being able to evaluate getting some good guys that might be kind of in that four star range that are just going to come in and fit the system. We've had our conversations about offensive coordinator, things of that nature, but I still think that this is a Missouri offense. It's going to be able to score, especially against this Kansas defense. So I will take the Kansas Missouri border war over. Let's get some fireworks on Friday night in Lawrence. We'll be watching anything else Friday. I'm a Saturday boy. No doubt. Yeah, this is a loaded Saturday. If you had to, you could manage a Saturday like from a large iPhone for the morning and maybe for the night. But like the afternoon slate, there's like legitimately 10 games I want to watch. I was doing my watch guy. I was like, I got to cut this down to eight and like, there's, there's hard cuts. It's also a nice nightcap one because like North Dakota state and Air Force. It's probably like, you know, you turn it on, but it's over by the time you actually fall asleep because they're just running the hell out of the ball. This is not an apple picking Saturday. No, Garrett and the chat. This is, this is not one of those if you had to. Coming up on the other side, we turn the page to Saturday week two locks and more. Next. Back here on the cover three podcasts, I love to see the tailgate cracking open some snapples here on a Thursday and getting the party started on a day for the locks. We will as always start with some of the biggest games of the weekend and then we'll open up the board up to all of Saturday, which means we have to start with one of the games of the year Ohio state at Texas was week one last year is week two this year. They were not exact mirror images, but both checked a lot of boxes and the way they handled business in week one kind of whatever your preseason expectations were for Ohio state or Texas. You're probably not adjusting them too much. So now, the only question left after a week of preview and in talking is got a lot. All right, Tommy. I am taking Texas or Ohio state plus one and a half. To me, like this game should be pretty close, obviously, as the spread suggests. I'm not breaking news there, but when I look at it, it's like I'm sitting there breaking down all the matchups and I see Ohio state has slight edges here. I think Texas has slight edges here. There are questions I have on both sides of how things are to go. And then at the end, I just asked myself a question. In a spot like this, which coached and team do you trust more? Do you trust the Ohio state team that has consistently won these games on these stages? Or do you trust the Texas team that for as good as they have been when they run into the Ohio states and they run into the Georgia's, they just always come up a little bit short. There's always something they do during the game that costs them and they don't break through and they lose. Now, that's not to say it's never going to happen. At some point, teams, you know, like Indiana won a national title. Like teams will break through sometimes. They don't always break through. And until I see Texas win a game like this, it's hard for me to pick Texas. So Ohio state plus one and a half. All right. Let's sit there. Anybody else on the spread? Yes. No? No. No, Danny. I'm on the total fight. Fight. Fight. Fight. Fight. Fight. Fight. Fight. In a game that is mostly stalemate. And I will concede Tom's got a very good point for the coaches because we are all looking for the margins on which side you're going to take. But I started thinking about war. I started thinking about specifically the wars that sunny styles and Arvel Reese and this Ohio state defense went through. I mean, Caden Curry, even two seasons of Caleb Downs, when they got into these insane high level situations, the amount of experience, trust, continuity was there. And this Ohio state defense, I think, is super talented to live up to the reputation of a group that has been in the top four nationally for like the last four years. I like the pieces, but they have not objectively had the kind of continuity and experience together that that group had when they won all those ball games. And in a game that is decided at the finest of margins, one bust, right, it gets a team with this much offensive firepower in the Texas Longhorns. One bust could end up being the entire game. And I'm moving these things around and I just, I keep coming back that this game in Austin might provide an Ohio state defense that is not going to be the same Ohio state defense that's going to be playing at the end of the season and maybe in the big 10 championship and in my expectation, definitely in the college football playoff. And that this game will probably make them better, make them more likely Ohio states my national championship pick and remains that way today. But for this game, for this Saturday night in week two, I'll take Texas at the finest margins. However, that's not the only one because if you thought I'm looking into a game like this and not putting together a treasure map, you damn crazy. Here's what I've got because this needs to be voted on or at least decided. Ohio state in the third quarter at one sports book is being offered at plus a half a point at minus 166. You throw that out, right? Ohio state in the third quarter at another is plus one and a half at minus 24. However, Ohio state third quarter money line carries prices of minus 105 and minus 111. I submit to the committee the opportunity to just make an Ohio state, you know, money line, you know, minus 0 as the official lock here for the third quarter. So Ohio state pick them. Yeah, Ohio state pick them third quarter. Yeah, that's fair. Ohio state pick. Okay. Cool. That's my other one. Yeah. Ohio state in the third. Oh, sorry, explanation. Best damn third quarter team in the country. Best damn third quarter program in the country. Let's go Ryan Day. Half time adjustments. I, first of all, I want to point out I can get Ohio state plus two. I can get you Texas minus one. So maybe, you know, if it's a one and a half point game, we can both win. Okay. I'm, I just want you are taking Texas to cover, but Ohio state covers in the third quarter. Correct. Okay. Yeah. He can, he can weave that together. Yeah, that's a treasure. I mean, you can. You can weave it together. That is true. This is an interesting, interesting play. Yeah. This is some, I mean, listen, if this hits, you are like galaxy brain guru over here. I've never, ever, ever argued or tried to strive to be considered a guru. Okay. When you're the biggest dummy around, you just, you just stick to your principles, you know, and Ohio state third quarter is a principal play, especially in a game like this. Actually goes in line with the idea that there might be a coaching advantage, but I've got this other player, you know, or, you know, dev chart sort of base look, I'm a stick with it. Hi, Danny. What's your total play? I saw somebody in the chat had first half under, I kind of like that, but I'm going to go with the full game under 49 and a half. I think this game with all this NFL talent on the field, I know the expectation is that the receivers are going to go off and Jeremiah Smith versus Cam Coleman's going to be fireworks, light up the sky. But also I have a tremendous amount of respect for Matt Patricia and Will Munchamp, the defense of coordinators and the defensive talent. I think early in the season, as these offensive lines come together, I think they could struggle to protect. I mean, it could be a little bit of a more of a defensive struggle, sort of a 24, 21 type game. So I'm going to go under 49 and a half. Respect. Big game under. You can take that. Big game under. Let's go. Todd, you got anything here? I don't, man. I think this game is well priced. I could probably make an argument for both sides as you guys did. The number has been out for seven months now and has largely not changed a ton. It's a little bit of shift towards Texas. I want to see Texas, how well their offensive line can push. We know the playmakers are there on both sides and Ohio State really felt really good about a top offensive line entering the season, some of the guys were very good against ball state and some were not quite as good. I think it's well priced. I totally understand y'all's locks on this. If I can make a really good case for both sides, I'm not really seeing a big edge for me. All right. We'll get it started with the Oklahoma Michigan. I also don't have a play on that. It's been adjusted, the line moves seven points, and the total is like an NFL total. If I was going to play something. Well, don't say it. Hold on. Anybody else don't. Yeah. If you're not going to put your name to it, thank you, Tom. Let's go. I am going to play something. Damn it. I'm going to play the under. I'm just going to take the basic bitch play here, just based on what we saw from both of these teams. I don't know. Like, if I'm Oklahoma and I watched Michigan last week, I am stacking the box, stopping the run, and saying, "Go and beat me, Bryce Underwood. Come on. Drop back. Throw the ball on me. See how often you can do it and move the ball down the field. I'm going to try to him. You in the pocket. I'm going to take away your run game. I'm going to make you stand there, beat me with your arm, and I'm going to see if you can do it. Damn it. If you can, good for you. Tip my cap. Great job." On the other side, I think Michigan defensively matches up pretty well with Oklahoma. I think they can limit what they do in the run game, at least try to limit John Mateiro a bit, and force Mateiro to beat them much the same way that Oklahoma might try to force Bryce Underwood to do it. Now, I have more trust and Mateiro's ability to do so, if not regularly, more consistently. But at the end of the day, I just don't think this game gets very high scoring. So, under 43 and a half. Danny? I got to play. Let's go. Another one of the themes. I like some of the home underdogs this week, and this is like stinky. I think there's been a massive overreaction in that touchdown move. I think Oklahoma clearly is better team. And if there was a blowout, I would say, "Absolutely, you want to alt-line and say Oklahoma's going to blow him out?" I totally understand why you would do that. I'm going to go a little two-for-one, special here too. What? I like Tom. [BLANK_AUDIO] and to cover, I think it's gonna be a lower scoring game. So I'm gonna take the first half under though, because I do worry a little bit about that. It's only 21 and a half, but I'm gonna go under the first half. I do worry a little bit about the secret weapon being unleashed in the second half. And it is not Bryce Underwood's legs. It is one Tommy car sitting on that bench, coming ready to go. And you know what he's gonna say is to say, okay, cool. Cool, I'm gonna get my shot. I'm gonna go out off the bench. I think this game is going to be a defensive bloodbath. I wasn't on the big game breakdown, driving back from Tallahassee. The one thing I will say, everybody, including us for a year and a game have said, they gotta use Bryce Underwood's legs more. They have to use his legs more. We haven't seen it. He's only been over 100 yards once. He's only been over 60 yards twice in his entire career. I don't know if there's some secret weapon that everybody's just holding back. I don't know if that exists. I would love to see it if it does. And I think then, Michigan has a real chance 'cause he definitely isn't gonna light it up through the air. I just have observed that over time. It was interesting 'cause we did talk to Brian Kelly about this on the radio show. And he said the same thing. And I've made this point to him. I'm like, where are these legs? And he said, you never know there's more. And now he obviously has a relationship recruiting Bryce Underwood did not land him. But he did say he said sometimes there's bigger picture things involved. Kind of alluding to the fact that Bryce Underwood's team doesn't want him running the football. You know, that they wanna see him develop as a passer and they don't want him just out there running. But I thought that was an interesting point, but I still am waiting to see this Bryce Underwood's legs unlocked and unleashed. I think the more likely chance is Tommy Carr is unleashed. I think you will see his legs unleashed. And it's also, if you like Michigan and you like first half under, can I suggest to you a little Oklahoma, first half team total under 12 and a half? Ooh, 'cause then you don't really need Michigan to score. You just need him to hold the ball for a little bit. Right. Are you locking that up? And not turn it over. Do I need something on this game? Yeah, he's too. I just, no, I, no, because I really would want the 13 and a half and they're all just juiced to create, like they're not something we can give out on a show. So no. Michigan first half team total under nine and a half. And I'm so glad you brought up the Tommy Carr thing 'cause that's been rattling around my head too. Because I was thinking about this, right? Britt, Britt Vinnables carried a reputation when he was at Clemson, okay? Remember, he always used to have the right call, right? I mean, a lot of Brent Vinnables review has been going on with, here was Davos Weenie's record before, Brent Vinnables. And here was Davos Weenie's record after Brent Vinnables. My friend Joe Gillio's on this big Brent Vinnables was the game day coach for Clemson's whole run. He was the one that was actually handling the coaching on the sideline. So if you needed to throw something off speed at Brent, if you needed to catch him off guard, throw something you hadn't seen, hadn't put on tape, hadn't been able to prepare for, then, you know, maybe you do break glass in case of emergency, roll out Tommy Carr in the second half of this game. But I'll just take that Oklahoma's defense and the first half is just, they saw what they saw and they ain't gonna let him score double digits. - I ask you guys just a question, 'cause you are both sticking in the first half. You should worry about the car situation. You guys saying that you think that the first time quarterback's gonna command and solve the Brent Vinnables defense? There's another reputation that Brent Vinnables has as well against first time quarterbacks that they don't do well. - The reason why I would prefer first half under to full game under is I think that Michigan could get game scripted out by the scoreboard from its heavy run Bryce Underwood strategy. And regardless of who's dropping back, like I would expect you to have more pass volume in the second half of this game. - Fascinating game again. That one a noon Eastern time up in Ann Arbor. Then, big time on CES Heads to Minneapolis. As the Minnesota Golden Goafers welcome in visitor from the SEC, Mississippi State coming off. School record offense of performance. Super Camario, just phenomenal. This whole team has been built around Camario Taylor and the offense of results against Louisiana Monroe certainly showed that that was a good decision by Jeff Levy. We also, this is a double header on big CBS because at the conclusion of that game, we'll be heading out to Corvallis for Texas Tech Oregon State. So with a look at those games that are gonna be right there on America's most watched network, the network of stars, Mississippi State Minnesota, Texas Tech Oregon State, anybody got a lock there? Either game. - No one in Oregon State. I do have something I like at Minnesota. All right, let's hear it. All right, give me Minnesota plus a half for the first half. So I think I like Minnesota in this game. You know, I show a slight edge here. I was trying to figure out why I actually show the edge on the first half more than the full game, which is kind of weird to me. But I do like Minnesota for the first half. I think that they're gonna come out with the dedicated run game. You know, we will see how well Minnesota's offensive line holds up, it held up great against ULM kind of. But also, Minnesota's got some past rushers. I think they may be able to give them a little bit of trouble. I am interested to see like how much Minnesota opens it up later or maybe they come out throwing. I mean, Lindsey looked pretty good in week one again. So to Taylor, again, there was terrible competition for both of them, but I think some of these Minnesota past catchers are a little bit under sole. - Anybody else? I mean, we got big oil and water, right? I mean, this is the, you know, incredible football viewing to see who is gonna be able to get the edge with their style in this game. Huge game, big significant game in terms of both of these individual seasons and what it can mean for them at the end of the year in terms of being able to, you know, make you feel, I'm not expecting either of these teams to be in the college football playoff, but college football is worth a whole lot more than just the college football playoff. And when you get a win like this, if you can back it up with a good showing in conference play, those are the kind of seasons that you feel really good about. So measuring stick game for both teams, excited about it. All right, nothing in the night cap. - Yeah. - If you wanted to take Oregon State plus 26 and a half, I would understand. I thought Braden Atkinson got nothing from his run game and had to just sit back there and sling that. What he thought, 48 times against Houston? I mean, it was, it was a lot. And I think that they've got a couple wide receivers that could potentially be able to get Oregon State to like 13, 14, maybe 17 points. My issue would be, I'm not a lock, but just thinking about the game, Will Hammond and Texas Tech Red Zone. It's like, doesn't matter whether it's Baron Morton, doesn't matter whether it's Will Hammond. I think that there's some red zone execution issues that are concerning some Texas Tech fans right now. So if you wanted to find ways to take advantage of that, that's also a short week of prep with the Houston Big 12 opener on Friday. So Texas Tech, if they're gonna be in packet in early mode, I don't know. - Break out the Castelano Center Red Zone, man. - You think they'll do that? - Well, I don't know why else you would sign them, but maybe they'll say that. I would expect that at some point he's gonna do that. We do have a dental hygiene play here, Chip. - For Texas Tech Air Zone State. - No, sorry, for Minnesota Mississippi State. There's a long, a long, long text to that. I saw this bearer in here. - Yes. - Yeah. - All right, I'll say the other one for now. All right, also, I'm curious about the menace, this is a strong start. He's curious about this game, so we have a lock. All right, I'm curious about the Minnesota Mississippi State game, this line opened a Minnesota minus two and a half and it's flipped to state minus one and a half. Taylor looked at impressively game one and if he continues to play well, it could be dangerous. Plus, this is a program that is desperate for wins. They will have no trouble being motivated in this game. Give me a Mississippi State minus one and a half to the moji. Lock a moji. A lot of people are really confident in Mississippi State in the road for some reason, offset. I don't know, like I like Mario Taylor too. I just, it's, I think there's a little-- - Mississippi State is a road favorite. - I think this is some SEC by, I mean, they started off the season so strong. I think there's some of that too. Check it. - I have some uncertainty about this team. Specifically, like, their portal class is probably one of the most boomer bus portal classes that you could put together, I think. Like, they leaned in heavily to like the, we want guys with, you know, higher level, like higher conference experience, who haven't been any good at all. So, like, we'll find out like if they, you know, got the undervalued assets type thing and are able to turn those guys into good players. Like, if they are, And like you got like power five level athletes who all of a sudden you hit and you unlock then maybe that teams are rocket ship If they're not then you're gonna go three and nine Yeah, the other side of that would be Minnesota is again oil water the most steady Not portal reliant like I mean you should know exactly what you're gonna get with that, but Fastening can't wait again that those two games the first one 3 30 p.m. Eastern time Mississippi State at Minnesota Texas Tech at Oregon State the night cap there you can watch them on CBS you can stream them on paramount plus Also in the night cap get really really solid just wall-to-wall games here. I was state at Iowa Sci-hawk trophy Elasiko for those of you of a certain persuasion Anyone got a luck here Ideas, okay, and I think we got a producer pick on this one too So just heads up on that, but Tom you get first dibs definitely do we want to go producers first or undefeated? They are undefeated actually you know it producers come on in here. Let's go Yeah Two and oh come on We're going for the three peets today the psi-hawk bowl is just screaming a producer pick if there's one thing Striker and I can do other than comment in the tailgate it is read a damn research packet We come to you today with lots of stats. We're in Iowa There's three things that we like to do at an Iowa football game number one you waved to the kids Number two you punt the ball number three you take the damn under Give us the under and look at this rivalry game It is essentially a service academy bowl at this point 17 and three in the last 20 meetings and This Iowa defense just pitched a shut out week one Iowa State Buds talked about it. We've all talked about it. They're not a very good football team their quarterback had a 50% completion rate last week and I don't even know who they played it was some no-name team striker take us home So I'll be pretty quick don't have much more to add both offenses looked okay last week, but look who they play against Total we think it's gonna go under 40 so we got another Graphic for you. We didn't come with just one this week the most meetings all time with a total that finished under 40 That's right Iowa Iowa State sitting up top. I was on the list twice above Tom's beloved service academy games We'll look for this to go to 16 after Saturday I like it. Hey, let's let's get up for the producers. Let's go tailgate get up crack your snapples. Let's go Um, I did see them kicking around some ideas. Yes, they saw a striker yesterday in the stall He was right next to me, and I was I mean I'm after these guys some of their backup picks. I mean, they've started off strong. I mean, I might have to have some options Let me you're asking to be a dog just getting crumbs from the table. I mean, you're cutting room floor. Yeah Exactly, please Tom, I haven't gotten cocky and come in with two picks though. I was waiting for that to happen I do love like that intro music, and then they cut to tapped his striker Hey, listen, it's it's all about a mindset. Okay, that that music brings a mindset that they bring to this process every single Week, uh, Tom, are you getting something here? Yeah, I am I'm gonna be taking Iowa minus 13 and a half. I just I think Iowa State's bad and I don't know if the market's fully caught on to him yet So give me this the hawk eyes here to cover at home by two touchdowns I know that this game has tended to be close I know that we have to throw out the record books when it comes to these two getting together. It's just I I watched some of that Iowa State game like I watched there typically in those games I Like to watch the first possession of each half because that's when teams try to tell you who they are Iowa State's first possession of the game foreign out Iowa State's first possession of the second half three and out They just did not look very good to me. Iowa on the other hand looks like I so hawk eyes Oh God I was waiting to see because I wasn't sure you get it 13 and a half not that I'm super nervous about it But it is a key number and as soon as Tom said laying a 13 and a half. I'm on it Yeah, I I don't think Iowa State is being priced like they could be the worst, you know power four team Right, and I think they should be in that conversation So if they get blown out this is probably the last chance you have to bet against them Before the like if we're right about this before the market catches on it starts pricing them as a team You know closer to like the hundreds in the power ratings as opposed to like the 70s The highlights for Iowa State To prepare for this game were hard to find You know Tom met Tom mentioned the watch in the first play of each half. I mean I was out here like man I'll tell you what Isaac to well. He got after it boys, you know like real really reaching for your That's a Iowa State defensive lineman who did have three sacks in the game, but I just Look at the opponents look at the way it's changed look at how all of a sudden Tony Diaz has become this electric downfield Attack that they've got for for the passing game I'm I'm not like Okay, would you lay five points with Iowa State over Stanford? I? Can't play that math right now would you lay a point would you lay a point with Iowa State over in Z state? Or lay a point and a half over Oklahoma State with Iowa State like this is kind of how they're being priced on some of these power ratings So this is what I'm saying I hear you bud, but we're six games in at minute 42 We got a lot of work and I've got some games, but you know, we don't have enough likes on this stream Let's go get those likes up come on Tom's firing out nine and three to start the year. Let's let's go Before we move on. I just want to point out this is the first lock infinity Since week one of the 2023 season when we all took TCU minus 20 and a half against Colorado And then Colorado one for 42 with that information what you will It's been three years. We are due for an infinity win So it's the first one that's been taken at all. Yeah, yeah Okay Well, let's see what's next. I don't want to make him my three-star walk to but now I'm gonna hold off on that Yeah, all right Coming up on the other side we open up the board all Saturday up for grabs filling out the rest of our locks card and more College football season is Modelo season. Let's review what we've got on the board Bud is taken Iowa minus 13 and a half and Minnesota in the first half plus a half a point chip has Iowa minus 13 and a half Texas minus one Ohio State third quarter pick-up Missouri Kansas over 50 and a half Michigan first half team total under nine and a half Danny's got Iowa minus 13 and a half Kansas first half plus three and a half Ohio State Texas under 49 and a half Michigan plus five and a half Oklahoma Michigan first half under 21 and a half times got Iowa minus 13 and a half Ohio State plus two and Oklahoma Michigan under 43 and a half all right Full Saturday slate is open bud. Where would you like to go? Chip Let's go to Sam Houston. Oh Yeah It's time for sicko mode. Let's go. A little bit lower on some of the teams in the bottom of the sun belt. If things go wrong, they could be like you've asked you to. That's kind of like sicko mode of a sicko mode. All right. So obviously they're playing Tulsa, they're catching time. Are there any 14s left? Not in a book that I think is real. All right. Well, we'll take 13 and a half. That's fine. If it was 14, I was going to drop it on it. So obviously Tulsa probably could have beat Oklahoma State by more last week. I think Tulsa is a very good football team and like they've done a great job. I like the coach, like the front officer does a good job acquiring personnel, etc. I watched Sam Houston play Troy and they were catching a whole bunch of points. And I don't think there was a real material difference between those teams. Sam Houston's got some players. Did I have the audio on? No, do I know the names of those players? Not really. But just like I actually watched that one was like, these are like pretty good athletes. And I think they haven't improved offense, like better coaching. And I just don't see why they need to be laying two touchdowns here. So go ahead and give me Sam Houston, bear cats plus 13 and a half. I found a 14. Oh, three star. Do we want to give a three star at the point widely available to people? We'll say we'll save. I've got a lot of guy. Look at this guy. I'll take 14. Hi, Tom. What would you like? Okay. Um, you know what? I'll go to my three star. We saw, Dan, you mentioned it. You took Auburn last week. Minus seven, the offense, Byron Brown shot himself in the foot multiple times, multiple interceptions and they hung on to win, but it didn't feel like a victory. Like Alex Gilesh after the game looked like a man who had lost, you know, he sounded like a man who had lost. They were not happy. So now they're going home and it's their first home game of the year. They were promised Auburn fans were promised new offense. There's going to look so much better than it had in recent years. That's why we brought him in there. That's why we brought Byron Brown. And just so happens that coming to town is a Southern Miss team with the least returning production from last year because they all went with Charles Huff to Memphis. This is this is a team of vagrants and hobos come into Jordan. Here to play the Auburn Tigers and Auburn's going to want to put on a show for the fans who are a little nervous after last week and need to feel good about themselves. Auburn team total over 44 and a half, my three covered three star lock of the week. Let's go. Yeah. That's don't have to go. Thank you. That's a good one. Is that too soft for the cover three star lock? I don't know. That's been like a friend says that's like Disney Princess with the one star. We're looking for like shooting star. I was I mean, it's a pretty loaded sound. I can't really edit that one. That one was I was I was going for Mario like finding a star, right? I don't know. We'll work on it work. I mean, this that we've literally just introduced this. So this weekend. That works. That does work. Don't sue us. Please don't just change like two notes. Oh, this is fair use. We're using this for parody, you know, like that's all this is. Okay. I like that. Let's see. Danny, what would you like? I'll go with the play. This is a road dog, but I'm going to take Arizona getting seven and a half at BYU. I have had a principle for a couple of years that has worked pretty well, especially on our top 25 picture we did last year. When you have big 12 teams facing off that I think are in the same tier. I think there's and there's a big tier. I think there's, you know, top tier and then there's a really bottom tier. But if I see that, if I see that point spread, get over a touchdown. I'm going to take the dog every single time. No, if it is not going to be intimidated going into provo, I think BYU is really good. I have them all the way in the college football play off the end of the season. But I still want to see it against this team. Brent Brennan, one of the more underrated squads out there. I think Arizona can keep it within the touchdown. I'm going to take Arizona in the points. All right. Let's go. Now I, I, I found out and you know, just, just got the, the word we've been waiting for so long. It didn't, we had to take turns. Like if you had to go bathroom, somebody had to keep waiting in line, save our spot, but it seems like our table is finally ready. It seems like we're finally ready to go to the clerk. McKenzie broke club kids two in the last week. How are we living? Hello, gentlemen. I'm a one hit wonder this week after going to and now I was told to keep things light, but I'm bringing us back to Friday. And I'm in on Kansas catching five and a half. At home. And I heard DK was in on that too. Let's go. I like the tail of the home and road splits for sure. And Mizu was nothing fabulous on the road last year. Kansas was eight points better as a team at home last year. No returning production on defense for Mizu. You're getting top 10 returning production for Kansas on defense here. I don't know if it's going to be that pretty. I thought about taking Missouri's team total under 27 and a half. Don't hate that look either, but figured I just keep it simple here and go with Kansas, plus the five and a half at home. That was there when you found out like Danny was also on this. Were you like I don't know. I'm gonna find a new one. Yeah, I thought about that. But I have a lot of plays fading the SEC, which is a little weird. I kind of like Georgia tech, plus the 12 and a half. First 10 to see it after a wonky, wonky game. Or is it on your board? Well, you're just like we're thinking way too much alike. That's not good. It means a lot more coming from an SEC girl to take two teams against the spread in other conferences. I got on there. No, come on. Can't start on the board. Don't know it. Listen, you just talked about permission for two picks. Permission granted. All right. He said I'm allowed to pick what was the pick? Georgia tech, plus the 12 and a half got it. Put an up 70 burger on an FCS team who cares? No, no, we're children are singing again. No, we're going to like worry that we're going all in together. Let's go on the card. Big over reaction. I think phase on Brandon was awesome. And everybody's talking about the record setting performance. He threw it all over the yard. Georgia tech looked awful. How are they going to bounce back on that? No. Do you guys feel like Michigan at home after a dumpster fire every game? Has a shot now they catch five and a half that. Oh my gosh. That's too much. We didn't even talk like that much about these games. But this is concerning. So I had my AI scrape 40 different college football podcasts. Do you know how many gave a pick for Michigan? Too many zero. No, zero. I was going to say nobody. That's why I love that's why I like them. It's too much overreaction. Yeah. That's what I'm saying. There are three SEC teams and low key must win situations to keep their at large bid hopes alive. If you want to assume they're going to lose two to three conference games, like Tennessee has to be Georgia tech Oklahoma has to beat Michigan. And Missouri has to be Kansas like stay in that conversation. If you're planning on losing your big boy SEC games, I feel like these are like keep my at large bid hopes alive. And I'm fading all of them. I mean, I got to go to for three, right? I mean, you know, gallery is dead. I'm just in shock. I don't want to see love. This is their big I know. I should have made Tennessee last week back before the big adjustment. Like that, that one is annoying because like I do think they blow them out. But like, it's hard to lay 12 and a half 13 when, you know, it was single digits last week. Yeah. First road start to for Brandon. You had all these home dogs, man, that's my theme. Let's go. Let's go. We'll see if the, we'll see if the Brooks canal alliance ends up in some ruling the day. Who knows? Maybe they'll be the new host of the cover three podcasts. By next week, we'll see. All right. But can't see Bronx club kids like someone drag it out. All right. Let's see. Let's, but where would you like to go? Cool, boy. All right. So we already did Sam Houston. Do we have? Ken's just talking about Kansas. Let's go ahead and stay in the state of Kansas. Oh, thank goodness. And we will go with the Washington state coups catching what 17 and a half 18. I, I, you know, like I was disappointed with Washington in that game, but Washington state did some good things. Kansas state looked amazing against a really bad opponent, but I, I can't get that out of my mind that they're down three offensive line starters and that it is hard to just consistently move the ball against the watch state team. It is, you know, okay, for that level. So I, I start the game with a 17 and a half or 18 point Lee, whatever. Time to find me here and I'll go and take the coups. 18. Let's go. Fight fight fight fight fight fight. I do not think Washington State is a good football team. I think that last week, Washington did so much more to keep them in the game than anything. And I have worries about Kansas State's offensive line. I don't know that those absences concerned me enough in this matchup, because unless Kansas State commits 95 yards with penalties on defense with personal files on third downs multiple times, I don't know how I want to see who keeps the ball moving on offense. I don't think Kansas State's offense needs to be great in this game. Give me Kansas State minus 17 and a half. Let's go. A little bit of blood on the board. Love to see you. I mean, we got a big job going head to head. We got some fight up. We didn't have a single fight in week zero or week one. I know. This is the Ohio State Texas of the Locke's competition. Early season battle. The early season battle between two of our heavy weights. You know, let's, we'll see. We're deciding at the margins with Kansas State and Wazoo. That is the arena for this Bud Tom showdown. I love it. On numbers, I made it 14, like six and a negative six, you know, two for travel. Tell me what the numbers say about the rice owls. Come on now. Come on now. Man, I love that rice offense. What, what do you think about the focus factor for another day this week? I mean, I'm just saying, are we going to make their pregame video about me talking about it at no playmakers? No, I'm just saying this. Listen, put this aside, okay? Sometimes you need to focus on the opponent. Sometimes you need to focus on yourself. And the fighting Taylor McCargs are not going to go down without a fight, right? Okay? This rice team understands that if you can get a couple first downs, you can defend a 45 point lead. Give me rice plus 45, 44 and a half. Best thing I can get. I have a play on this game. It is, it is not a fight. I mean, it kind of is, but it's not. I just, you but mentioned it last week when I took the under like Notre Dame with their schedule has to quote unquote, leave no doubt. They have to, when they have a chance, put more points on the board. They have to make the scores look better than maybe the game suggests that they were. Rice is not a game that is going to move the needle as far as Notre Dame's resume, but if they put up a 50 burger, it might Notre Dame team total over 48 and a half. There you go, man. I just, I like Rice's offense too. And I get my concern here is that they move the ball effectively enough on the ground that Notre Dame just doesn't have the overall amount of possessions that they're going to need to get there. Correct. Yeah. The entire bet is possessions. Yes, but because I don't know, I don't know how many times Rice's defense will be able to stop it. I got a pretty good feeling. It's not many. Yeah, I mean, I swear, if I see Notre Dame's punter twice, I feel like I'm in a good position. Yeah, I agree in this game. Yeah, this is Rice, come on, dog, let's go. Who do you? We have not mentioned once Texas A&M and Arizona state. And considering the caliber of the matchup, I'm a little surprised. We made it all the way to almost the hour mark. But I've, I've got a little pick on this card that needs to get needs to get a little check mark beside it to note that it is not getting left on the cutting room floor. And I think that no matter what game script we get, no matter what game state we get, there is going to be an emphasis for Cutter Bowley and Reed Harris and Mariana Miller to just keep taking swings to say Texas A&M gets up by a bunch. You got to keep taking swings. Maybe Arizona state's a little frisky. It's probably because they've scored some points. It's not a great number. But when I'm imagining the way that Arizona state can be competitive in this, I'm going to take Arizona state team total over 17 and a half. I think Arizona state can get to 20 points in this game against Texas A&M's defense. Like what they saw, like what I saw, I understand the opponent was there. The opponent is worth consideration in the opener. But those are new pieces. And those new pieces seem to be in sync. And so the last piece cherry on top, we know and I have discussed this often. You can count on Kenny Dillingham to give you kind of a wide variant. I keep, he'll throw some big swings at some of the toughest teams that they play. And he also might leave you with a head scratching. What was that believe sundavels fans frustrated? Having to go play at noon Eastern time 11 a.m. local in college station against Texas A&M certainly is of the, you know, nobody's counting on you variety. I am a little worried that Texas A&M's offense could still find a way to score a lot. So I'm going to stick to the team total here. Sparky team total over 17 and a half. Silver vein chip, give me Arizona State plus 14 and a half. Let the children sing. Woo! My theme, I got a lot of dogs this week. Do any of you have three store locks? I do. Yeah, but not on this game. Cutterball, he's been in these environments. He's not going to be overwhelmed by the 12th man. Yeah, I mean, he hasn't been good in these environments, but he's been in my group, Danny. Yeah, this is more to me like A&M is being priced as like a team is like a no doubt top 10 team and I think they're more of like a, like a no doubt top 15 level team. And so like that's about a fuel goal disagreement with the market so I'll go ahead and take the sun Devils and points. Same. Yeah. That was Danny's analysis too. Yes. Okay, are you ready for, uh, that's a ch-ch-ch-ch. You ready for my three star? Yes. Three star. Ole Miss first half team total over 30 and a half. They are playing Charlotte, which was in a triple overtime game against the Citadel last week. I think the work gets done early. And our boys take seat. Three stars on it. Let's go turn it at. You do have the defensive coach may not be quite as obsessed with his offensive numbers element here, right? Where when Lane was coaching, you still kind of had to worry about that. John David Baker though. Is not in the head coaching office. But yeah, I mean, I agree. He's good to see, I think. Yeah. Alright, we do have the shockingly, here's the other tennis pick. Uh, he also, he's buttering up the chip. Chips, you mass bet with the little chef's kiss emoji. Alright, Saturday night, we have the most look ahead spot in history of Ole Miss football. I suspect we will not see Lacey or the right tackles who went down against Louisville. The mission should be to get this game over with with no injuries as soon as possible. Taking 47 and a half points is extremely tempting, but then Charlotte's football program has fallen on tougher times than Lane Kippen's soul. I think I'll shift to the total and take the under 61 and a half to the emoji lock emoji, which chip can win and also the dentist can win. I mean, I, I just need 31 or 35 points before they go to break and then start thinking about LSU. 31 half of it, half time, kneel it out in the second half. Beautiful. There you go. There we go. Alright, I've got one play left. I've got a couple. Alright, go bud, let it run. Alright. Give me app state, plus seven and a half. I think that's a solid spot, agreed. Give me, they're playing against ECU for those unaware app state ECU. Yes. Give me FIU minus 10. And I will make that my cover three star lock of the week. I think Buffalo is bad. I watched them play Albany, you know, we discussed probabilistic thinking in the group chat live on that one. They still beat Albany, but they're not great. And I was actually kind of impressed by some of the stuff that FIU did. I think that quarterback can throw the ball pretty well. And the defense was a little bit salty. Give me Maryland and lay the 13. Last week quarterback didn't get to throw it a whole lot because they hit some explosive runs. They had some defensive, you know, short field type situations there. And yeah, I think this is where they let Malik come out and get some numbers going on. They don't cover those 13 points against Jason Candle and Toledo. Already hit Sam Houston. Well, that's funny that you, hey, that's funny that you just called him Toledo when it's you come. Oh, sorry. Also, I would not call you out unless it's funny, because Mike Loxley also didn't know they were playing Yukon this week. Mike Loxley at his press conference made the mistake. And it's funny, too, because the next game is against James Franklin and Virginia Tech. And you might remember James Franklin and Mike Loxley having some spicy interactions when they would play back in the big 10 days because he's rivalry. I think Lox is, I think Lox is already starting to think a little bit about about what he's going to have cooked up for James Franklin coming up in a little bit, so it does scare me a little bit there. No, it shouldn't scare me. The angle is still there. But clearly a lot of people are just sort of, you know, overlooking coaches and teams and stuff for the Huskies. If you did happen to like chips play on Auburn. Can I also interest you in my play under the same principle? Offensive coach, needing to have a little bit better showing than it did last week, everybody expecting to score a lot of points, very disappointing offensive effort in the Apple Cup. Utah State coming to town, pretty hapless, you know, G-16 there. I think, and there's no look ahead here, Washington is an FCS on deck. If your dad fished, then you ain't opening up the newspaper like Malzahn didn't see it. What, what, we're like 50th in offense. Let's get some points. Husky's big. Lay it was a 26 26. I'm like, yeah, yeah. They got to get your numbers right before conference season, man. It's a damn shame what they've done to my boy. Look at what they've done to Bronco's big bad beefy boys losing Idaho State. Come on now. It's tough scene. Tough scenes out there in Logan. Danny, how are you doing? What's left on the ground? I got two. I got two. I'll get them out of the way quick. I'll take Kentucky in 10 and a half at home versus Alabama. Home dog, Keeling Russell, everybody's on board. I think there's some overreactions here. I still think Kentucky can put up a pretty good fight. Ryan Coleman Williams see if he can fix his drop issues. We'll see, but Keeling Russell's first road start in the SEC curious to see how that goes. I'll take the 10 and a half. And then actually, I don't know, I'll only get this one out of the way first. Maybe when a coach says something, you should listen to him because when Davos Weenie said, I got a bunch of nobody's on my roster. I probably should have listened to him and guess who's coming to town. Old-ass Max Johnson and Clay Halton and Georgia Southern. How about this? I actually was looking at this. How about this head? My Georgia Southern head coach Clay Halton explains why he isn't taking Clemson lightly. I mean, what? I mean, you talk about the levels of disrespect for Clemson. That is where we are. He's not at USC anymore. That is a real headline that I saw when I was looking into this game. Give me those 20 and a half points for Georgia Southern on the road at Clemson. We'll see if they can figure out their quarterback issues, but I think Georgia Southern can keep this one and make it a little bit uncomfortable there in Clemson. DK Research Inc is running laps around y'all and y'all don't even know who's who's digging up the Georgia Southern coach headline about not taking Clemson lightly. Let's go. Is that your entire card? No, let me give my three-star lock. I'll lay well with Penn State. I'll lay 22. What's my 23 and a half against Temple? Temple has some quarterback issues. They ran the ball well. I don't think they're going to be able to do it against Penn State. I'm liking the vibes for the Nettley lines. If you fade somebody's three-star lock, does it have to be a three-star fade? No, no. Okay, just curious for future reverence. All right. I thought he was going to go there. All right, last one here for me. Boise State defensively gave up 378 yards to Dante Moore. I do not necessarily think we're dealing with the same level of quarterback with Marcus Stokes as Dante Moore, but I do think that there might be some things that this Memphis offense can go and exploit in a big time matchup between Boise State and Memphis out in Boise. Albertson Stadium, I don't know. This line's about eight and a half. It's a super, super interesting fun game. My best bet, my lock here is just going to attack Memphis against Boise's defense. Memphis team total over 22 and a half. I'm kind of fighting you then. Just taking Boise, are you going to total full game under? I'm taking Memphis Boise under 55. I have a suspicion that the two best units in this game are the defensive lines on both teams. And I think that they can win out over the course of the 60 minutes. So Memphis Boise under 55 and a half. And then are you done, Chip? Yep, I'm done. All right, I've still got a few more plays here. So I'll go quickly too. I'm going to go to Champagne where Illinois is hosting Duke and last week Nate Shepard ran wild for the Blue Devils and Illinois had some trouble stopping the road against UAV. And from what I saw of Illinois's defense, I have a feeling that they're going to have trouble stopping the run a lot this year and teams will be able to move the ball on. I mean, I seem to remember last year like the over in Illinois went together like baseball and apple pie. And I think we're going to go back to that principle. Duke Illinois over 51 and a half. I think you know, I know that Duke's defense looked good last week against Tulane, but I think Illinois is a little bit better prepared for what they're going to do. And then we're going to go to West Lafayette where I'm going to get a little Danny here. A lot of home dogs out there that I I think Purdue like they are not good, but I watched them last week. And they looked it was Indiana State just put that away, but they looked far more competent on both sides of the ball far more in sync than I've seen them look in a few years. I think there's some hidden value here. I am taking Purdue plus three and a half at home against Wake Forest. No offense to Jake Dickert who's a wonderful coach and Wake Forest, but I am sorry. I am not in a place in my life where I am ready to trust Wake Forest is more than a field goal road favorite against a big 10 team. That's just me. That's just the way that I live. That's how I go. And then finally, you know, also I'm not ready to trust as a favorite Kent State. Wofford plus 13 and a half from the man who brought you Merrimack plus five last year comes Wofford plus 13 and a half. Love it. See that's not even sicko because I have to respect it, right? Like there's nothing sick. Like that's that's somebody that that you went to go find, right? You didn't you didn't lower your standards. No, it's an antique road show aspect in a good way with a high value. We need to get a financial company sponsor because that could be our Roth IRA play of the day, right? Are we going to check it every day? No. Do we feel good about it? Yeah. Are we going to bet it? Not watch it. Get up in the morning to see what happened. Yeah. Oh man. Just easy branding right here. Let's go. Okay. All right. So we Tom's done. Bud's done. I'm done. Danny. All right. Let's review what we've got on the board for a week too. Bud's got I will minus 13 and a half Minnesota first half plus a half a point wasu plus 18 same Houston plus 14 Arizona state plus 14 and a half app state plus seven and a half FIU minus 10 Maryland minus 13 and Washington minus 26 and a half. I've got I will minus 13 and a half Texas minus one Ohio State third quarter pick up Missouri Kansas over 50 and a half Michigan first half team total under nine and a half rice plus 44 and a half Arizona state team total over 17 and a half Ole Miss first half team total over 30 and a half Memphis team total over 22 and a half Danny's got Iowa minus 13 and a half Kansas first half plus three and a half Ohio State Texas under 49 and a half Michigan plus five and a half Arizona state plus 14 and a half Arizona plus seven and a half Georgia Tech plus 12 and a half Oklahoma Michigan first half under 21 and a half Kentucky plus 10 and a half Georgia Southern plus 20 and a half Penn state minus 23 and a half and Tom's on Iowa minus 13 and a half Ohio State plus two Kansas state minus 17 and a half Auburn team total over 44 and a half Oklahoma Michigan under 43 and a half Notre Dame team total over 48 and a half Memphis Boise State under 55 Duke Illinois over 51 and a half Purdue plus three and a half and wafered plus 13 and a half now we turn to money line sprinkles last week of course we saw on the recap screen we had a few wins some others the one of bounce back came home with Tulsa and I guess that's it for last week let's let Tom why don't you get started which is Franklin we've got three last year you know I didn't do well in sprinkles and I had done really well the year before and I realized that two years ago when I was taking some smaller dogs in the locks I would also be taking them in money line sprinkles because obviously that meant I thought they had a decent chance to win the game but I didn't do that last year I didn't want to get repetitive but we're changing that up because we're trying to win so my first money line sprinkles of the week is I'm not just taking Purdue to cover the spread give me Purdue on the money line plus 138 and you thought you heard the last of wafered no sir we're going with woofered because these dogs are barking give me wafer plus 450 on the money line and finally I'm respecting the troops love North Dakota State love what they've shown us in their first two weeks is an FPS program but it's time to hit the road boys it's time to face some of America's military give me Air Force plus 112 love all of that um Danny I will go I got a couple for you I am in locker green with Tom on the Purdue I had that one on the board I also have North Texas at home against Dan Mullin I was pretty impressed North Texan they're a North Texan offense doing what they did against Indiana they come back home I'll take them at plus 140 um I've also got give me um I know Tom's not going to like this one I need an ACC win give me Duke plus 186 and then the last one give me Memphis to win outright at Boise in a group of six to lay off play and game plus 285, I think. - Okay, sweet. - All right, Bud. - All right, Memphis 285, I agree with Danny there. Give me UCF 235 to go into pit and shock them. Like, almost everybody on their defense is a senior and I think they just may make pit earn a little bit better than the pit had to last week. Give me South Alabama to add to two lanes misery plus 300, did you watch that two lane team last week, why the hell are they laying points to anybody? In Mexico State plus 245, Hawaii is kind of like crap twice now for large stretches of the game and in Mexico State it's got a couple players. So that just feels a little bit too heavy for me. Give me Sam Houston on the field plus 440. And give me app plus 244. Again, on the field to beat ECU. - Dig it, dig it. I'm also on Memphis right here. I'll add a little Arizona State. Is it plus 500? - Yeah, it's big. - It's big for sure. - I can get you plus 505. - All right, 517. - Let's go. - And then. - Wilston, Kentucky, plus 315. - Wouldn't it be hilarious? - I ain't by listen, it would. Like if you're rooting for the show, right? If you're rooting for content in the college football conversation, I'm talking a little bit too much LSU, a little bit too much Ohio State and Texas, a good Alabama fans furious after a road loss on feed families. Kenny Minchi time. Let's go. Yeah, so I got Arizona State, Kentucky and Memphis 1, 2, 3. All right, so to review Bud is sprinkling Memphis UCF, South Alabama, New Mexico State, Sam Houston and App State.
