Welcome into FBT Express. And they have me for the July 12. Please stay safe out there. I am Franks Fafeljoyen. Vais kautta koko. Let's start things off with the week 16 schedule. We have 18 teams, 18 teams with 6 games, 10 teams with 7 games next week. The D-backs, Braves, Rockies, Royals, Metts, Yankees, Phillies, Padrees, Giants and Reyes. Two teams with 8 games. How about that? Brewers and Cardinals. As for the Rockies, this past week, we were spoiled 7 games at home. This upcoming week, 7 games all on the road. Womp, womp. Starter set these two start pitchers. We have Freddie Peralta, who is really going through it right now. He's at the Braves and home against the Red Sox. Yeah, he is going through it. I still think with matchups that favorable though, I think you'd have to start him in most every situation. All right, what about Shane McClanahan? He is home for the Yankees and the Mariners. Coming off two really good starts. The Yankees matchup is kind of tough, particularly against the left-hander, though they have struggled recently. Mariners though is favorable. I think Shane McClanahan, you start him. Jose Soriano, this past start a little bit better, but overall, over the past month and a half, two months, hasn't looked as good. He's at the Rangers and at the Twins. I think I would have to leave. Well, now I'm looking at my rankings again. I do have him as advisable in most cases. His previous start was good, but it was a little more under control. Rangers matchup is favorable. Twins matchup. They've been a good offense this year, but I don't find them to be particularly intimidating offense. I think I'd lean yes on Soriano, but that's a tougher case. Much easier to say in points, leagues. Will Warren is coming off a bounce back start. He's at the raise and at the Nationals. That one I just leave for points, leagues. We did see an encouraging side with him in his start Wednesday, making better use of the change up. Hopefully that'll get Will Warren back on track. What about Seth Lugo, who's at the Metz and at the Orioles? Fine for points, leagues, but that's it. Last name on this list is Shane Drowin, who is widely available and actually has been doing some interesting things. He's at the Cardinals and at the Pirates. Yeah, I like him for points, leagues where volume is most important. In theory, his skill set would work for categories, leagues two, because he misses a lot of bats with the fastball, especially, but I just don't trust him to be used like a conventional starter. Going deep into games, throwing enough pitches. I think better left for points, leagues. All right, Scott, lots of games on the schedule this upcoming week. That means lots of two star pitchers. Who are your favorite two stream for this week? Joey Cantelo, who coming off three starts in a row where he's thrown his curveball a lot more and a lot harder and it's gotten great results. The most recent start, the walk's got up there for Cantelo, so it wasn't quite as dominant. But overall, I like the trendies on. He gets the twins at Marlins this week. Landon Roup got knocked around a bit in his late start Tuesday, coming off of two quality starts. They seemed like he was trending the right direction. Big step back, though, at the diamond backs. The characteristics of his pitches were a little off. Everything was harder and straighter and he walked a bunch of guys. It just seemed like an outing that was weird in so many ways. His underlying numbers are still very impressive. Like the matchups this week for Landon Roup against the Blue Jays and Rockies, outside of course fields. I think you go ahead and run them out there again. Cade Cavali, he's coming off a dominant start where his fastball played way up. Don't really understand why. He lines up for two starts next time. Tough matchups, AstraZen Yankees, but I think you've got to get well the Gittens. Dustin May brewers as his first matchup. That's tough. Braves is his second matchup and that's actually not so tough anymore. They're often fell apart in June basically. They're now middle of the pack and run scored. I think you can trust May against them at least and with two starts that makes them worthwhile. Ian Zymorr, we'll see how he showed good signs. He showed good signs last time out. Hopefully it's something he can build off of. I know he's actually moving into the rotation now. Not going to be following an opener. His first matchup against the Yankees could be tough, but the second one against the bearer is very favorable. Shane Bozz gets the Cubs. They've been really hot lately. The Royals though not so much. And it's two starts from Petru, who's generally trending up. Fading his sinker and getting better results doing that. And finally Conor Prelyp, who had a dominant outing last time out. Looks like the twins are giving a little extra rest. That's why he's lining up for two starts. Very favorable matchup Guardians and Angels. Not sure he's totally trustworthy just because he had such a good start last time out. But with those matchups, I'd be willing to roll the dice on Conor Prelyp. All right, let's take a quick break. We'll be back right after this. Welcome back. FBT Express. We are here previewing at week 16. And let's talk about some one-star streamers. God, who do you have on in this list? Got three for you. JT again. Honestly, I'm surprised he still qualifies for this list. He's been so reliable lately. Lots of week contact on the ground missing bats at a pretty good rate. It's the Tigers in Detroit. And that's favorable matchup. So he just pitched well into the Dodgers too. So like JT again for this week, Troy Melton back to back starts where he's been missing bats more like he did in the minors. And he was already pretty effective before then. He gets the athletics in Detroit again, not in Sacramento. And finally Griffin Jacks gets the Mariners. He has been very reliable since joining the rotation. Typically limited to five innings. He did make it six last time out, but on very few pitches. So it's going to be a short outing for Jacks, but I think you'll get good results in it. All right. Let's slide over to the hitters. The best matchups for next week. We have the Padres, Giants, Brewers, Orioles and Dodgers. The worst hitter matchups, Marlins, Angels, Rays, Athletics and Reds. Scott, who are your favorite sleeper hitters for week 16? The top two are less about the matchups than just the way they've been performing a flight. They were two of the best hitters in June, particularly at the end of June. Danesby Swanson. Maybe by the time you're listening to this, he's not even eligible anymore. Because he's been so hot lately. But as of this recording, he is rostered in less than 80% of leagues. And, yeah, you see the numbers lately. You got to start him. Luis Garcia. Same thing. How hot he's been. What really puts him over the top here for week 16 is just one lefty on the schedule for the Nationals. I anticipate they're going to start playing him against lefties more because of the impact he's had recently. But there's no doubt this week with only one on the schedule. Eldridge, Bryce Eldridge. It seems like right at the point we noticed he had turned the corner, cut way down on the strikeouts, sitting the ball incredibly hard. He cooled off. So that dropped his roster rate back to where equalifies for this list again. Striker rates only gotten better during that time. And the Giants have the second best hitter matchups this week as you pointed out. Only one lefty on the schedule, which should help Eldridge. The Rockies, as you mentioned, are on the road this week, which generally isn't favorable for their hitters. They do have a few that are just fine on the road. And Brandon, I'm sorry not Brandon Jake McCarthy. Brandon's a different McCarthy. Jake McCarthy is one of them. Splits are about as good on the road as at home. And also about as good against lefties as righties, which is important because there are three lefties on the schedule. TJ, TJ. - Ronfield? - Ja Ronfield, tacki. I was blanking on, blanking on McCarthy's first name, blanking on TJ Rumpfield's last name. TJ Rumpfield actually has good road stats as well, but he struggles against lefties, which is why I didn't want to put him on this list. Another giant sitter's on here, Ellie Ramos, he's look good since returning from the IEL. Cardinals are one of two teams playing eight games, and so we're gonna put Lars Newt bar on this list again. The data still looks very strong for him, even if the performance has only been so so I think it's just a matter of time. AJ Ewing picking things up at the plate again, only one lefty on the schedule for the Metz that's gonna work to his favor as Merlin Valdez, just a high hand play here, nothing wrong with the Pirates matchups. So I think we gotta give him some love. Tommy Edmund's been very hot, and the Dodgers have the fifth best sitter matchups, and finally Chase Mydrauth, the White Sox just missed being among the teams with the five best sitter matchups. They're facing the Red Sox and Athletics pitching staffs this week, which is obviously very favorable.
