Vasan 3,4 gottiuskottava katuruaka. Time to preview week 13. Up next on fantasy baseball today express. Welcome in to FBD Express on Saturday June 13. I am Frank Sample. Join by Scott White. Let's begin with the week 13 schedule. We have two teams with 7 games, the Angels and the A's, 2016 with 6 games, two unlucky teams with 5 games next week. That is the Red Sox and the Mariners. What about the Rockies? They have another split week, three games at home, in course field against the pirates, three games on the road at the Cubs. Starters sit these fringe two-star pitchers, show to Imanaga. It's coming off a good start, but he was very bad before that. He gets the Rockies on the road and he's home against the Blue Jays. Yep. I think I'd start them though, because those are two good matchups, and he seemed to get back on track. It was a course field start, so you know the characteristics of his pitches were a little funny. It's hard to trust even when somebody has a good start at that awful pitching environment. But with those matchups, I'm going to call Imanaga a must. Mackenzie Gore, the OG Charizard. He could burn the opponent. He could burn your ratios. He gets the twins and the Padres, both at home next week. Yeah. I think the matchups are favorable enough though, that most cases you're going to want to roll with them. The twins are worse against left-handers and the Padres or the worst lineup in baseball period. So you got to like that for Gore. Yeah. I think most people are starting him. Nick Martinez has been really good all season, but does have some tough matchups next week at the Dodgers and home against the Nationals. That's right. You can't ask for much worse matchups than that. And so we know Nick Martinez has sustained a low ERA. A lot of people are going to want to avoid him in this one. I think in Point Sleeves it's okay because obviously there's a higher margin for error for pitchers in that format plus. Nick Martinez has the relief pitcher eligibility that comes in handy in that format, but outside of Point Sleeves, I want to use them. All right, let's continue on with the two star pitchers. Who are you looking to add and stream for week 13? For week 13, got to go with Reed Demors. He's the top pitcher to add regardless. The matchups could be better. Actually, he's facing the Diamondbacks and the Athletics both on the road. And both of those lineups are like really good against lefties actually. So that's why it's a little dangerous there for Reed Demors, but I just think the way he's dominated recently, leading into that fastball slider combo. I think he's the obvious choice here in a two star week. Jero Jones at Sacramento and at Colorado. That's pretty so again, dangerous places to pitch. But he's just so much more talented than any other two star pitcher that might be available with the exception of Demors. So kind of the same story there. Ryan Nelson, let's throw that fastball at least 60% of the time, unlike in his last start. He threw it only, I think, 48% of the time. And it was a disaster. That's how it goes normally for Ryan Nelson. Angels and twins are the matchups there. Those are pretty good. So I'm trusting him to give back on track. Walbert, Arania. The walks can be kind of high for him, but he's good at getting weak ground balls in a pretty good map. Batman sort of boot. He gets the dime of backs and the athletics. And then finally Brandon Young, pretty good matchup at Seattle. Not so good at the Dodgers, but really like what Brandon Young has been doing lately for the Orioles. And he's available in like 75% of CBS sports leagues. So highly available two-star option there. If you can stomach that start at the Dodgers. All right, let's take a quick break and we'll be back right after this. It's Karinniemen's favorite show. Auringo and Luvassa Kokomaahan, 100-stay-merkkejäkään. Loananlihepele tiristelään krillikonpoamakuinä Spice-Pahpe-Kyu ja Sicilian-san. Kuntais luoten suunnilla kypsysisellinen peävasabi. Ei tarvitse kiristella, kurvoi tiristella. Karinniemen, omasta mielestä me parasta kanapoikaa krilliin. Welcome back, FBT Express. We are here previewing week 13. We went through the two star pictures. What about the one-star streamers? Got some of those too. Dustin May gets the Padres. Again, that's the offense, the lowest scoring offense in baseball is the Padres. And Dustin May has been a quality start machine. Lately, last 11 starts, 289ERA109 with 8.1K per 9. So I've got to take advantage of that matchup with him. JT Gen gets the Angels. Strikeoutprone team, most strikeoutprone team. The baseball, in fact, we've seen Gen's whiffs pick up in recent starts. It's always been a good groundball pitcher. He just seems like he's a low-key breakout here. And a good enough matchup there. Michael McGreevy, kind of the poor man's Dustin May. You look at his ERA and Whip for the year. It's kind of a wonder. He's only 67% roster. I don't think he's that good. Like, his good is his ERA and Whip, which it could suggest. But I think he can come through at the Royals. And so I'd be willing to try him out there. Luis Castillo has looked better in recent starts. And he faces the second worst lineup of baseball, the Red Sox. And then finally, Andre Palante, a third cardinals pitcher. And shares some of those. If Michael McGreevy is the poor man's Dustin May, then Andre Palante is the poor man's Michael McGreevy. He gets the potterase. The Cardinals pitching staff is just like an evolution line. I guess since we're on the theme of Pokemon earlier in the episode. Yeah. Yeah. Like those, what do they call those Russian dolls, the ones that fit into each other? Infinite regress. I'm mixing comparisons, mixing analogies there, but you get the idea. Best hitter matchups for next week. We have the Pirates, Angels, Royals, Tigers and Rangers, the worst hitter matchups. Orals, Red Sox, Metz, White Sox and Marlins. Who are your favorite sleeper hitters for week 13? Spencer Horwitz has been on a heater for the Pirates. And they have the best matchups for hitters. How good are their matchups? Well, they're at Sacramento and they're at Colorado. I guess I already pointed that out with Jared Jones on the pitching side of things. Really good news for their hitters, especially Spencer Horwitz with the way he's been hitting. Speaking of heaters, Jack Caglione, as of this recording, is batting over 500 in June. And I mean, that season long batting average, it's gained a lot of ground in that. The Royals have the third best hitter matchups. They do have three lefties on the schedule, but Caglione's numbers against lefties are actually really good. And he's been playing against them more often. So I don't think that's reason to stray from that hot bat. Speaking of hot bats, Bryce Eldridge. I think even hotter days are coming for him looking at the underlying data, the baseball sub-hunt page. Keeping those strikeouts in check and just straight up murdering the ball. Giant's matchups this week are nothing special, but they're not bad either. I think it just needs to invest in Bryce Eldridge for the long run. Zach Gelloff is here. The athletics are one of the two teams playing seven games. And they're all at home. And Zach Gelloff at home, look, he's been pretty good regardless, but at home, it's batting 291 within 826 OPS. It's obviously a good home. Seven games again. Good time to star him. Let's see, Kerry Carpenter with the Tigers having the fourth best hitter matchups and Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero lefties on the schedule for Kerry Carpenter. So he's going to take advantage of that. Somebody who could also take advantage of that and has just been hitting well in general, is Glaber Torrez. He has a right handed hitter, but against right handed pitchers this year, 330 batting average. So that might work out okay for him. Lars Newbar is back from dual heel surgery. And killing it. He's killing the ball. Average exit velocity. It was 95 miles per hour going into Thursday and then he had two bad balls over 109. So it's gone up. I would assume as of this recording. he's holding. He's has his characteristic good plate discipline. Uh we'll see how much he ends up playing against lefties but the Cardinals have only one on the schedule. I like taking advantage of that 17% rostered new bar. How about Wade Meckler? He's only 11% rostered. The Angels have the second best hitter matchups, one of the two teams playing seven games. Two lefties on the schedule. He's got a lot of good varieties but still. Uh good contact hitter. He's been performing well. And the matchups are favorable. Ezekiel Duran and Jack Peterson round out the list here with the rangers having the fifth best hitter matchups. Duran. You know he's kind of he's always easy to slot in here if the rangers matchups are decent just because you can you can play with the Rack Peterson with zero lefties on the schedule for the rangers. You know he's going to start every game and uh you look pretty good this year. Having a bounce back season. He tends to come out of games when a lefty comes out of the bullpen so um you know it might be more of a deep league caution but he's only he's only 13% rostered so I think if you're in one of those deep leagues. There's still a good chance you could pick up for more extensive fantasy baseball coverage.
