Week 1 Winners & Losers: Biggest Takeaways From Every Game! + Early Waiver Wire & More! (09/13 Fantasy Football Podcast)

The fantasy football recap highlights standout performances and key concerns from Week 1. Parker Washington led the winners with a dominant game against Cleveland, totaling 19 PPR points on six targets, validating his status as a must-start. Colston Lovelin, however, faced serious scrutiny after scoring zero points in a high-scoring game, prompting debate over his role in fantasy lineups. Quarterback performances were mixed: Trevor Lawrence and Josh Allen delivered solid games, while Carson Wentz posted 26 points with notable accuracy issues. Wide receivers like Jaylen Coker and Devon Valae showed strong potential, with Coker recording 138 yards and two touchdowns, and Valae gaining consistent targets despite a 16% share. Running back splits were uneven, with David Montgomery and DeAndre Swift performing well in key matchups. The recap also emphasized defensive vulnerabilities, such as the Bears' poor defensive showing, which could benefit low-usage players like Lovelin. Waiver wire options like Valae and Caleb Douglas were highlighted as promising additions, especially in tight end and receiver markets. Overall, the week revealed both bright spots and red flags, with many analysts calling for caution in early-round drafting and greater focus on matchup value and team offensive stability.

>> This is fantasy football today from CBS sports. >> It's time to dominate your fantasy Lee. >> Now here's some combination of Adam Dave Jamie and he. >> Welcome to the show is Sunday night. We're recapping week one. >> Baby winners, losers, high scores and everything in between I guess. There we are. All right, so exciting times. Let's jump right into it. Dave Richard, biggest winner of week one. >> The biggest winner of week one and when you hear us say these things, that means that we don't remember the biggest winner that we sent you and we have to race to our phones to see who we sent you. >> I am going to go with Parker Washington. >> Let's go full circle on this. When the off season started, I felt like Parker Washington could build on it. And as the training camp period moved forward, it was obvious that Parker Washington was the number one target for Jacksonville. Salt with my own two eyes when he was beating double teams against Tampa. And now it's Cleveland and granted it's Cleveland. But we saw this Jacksonville Jaguar's offense look great through the air. And Parker Washington, on six targets, five catches, 83 yards, one touchdown, 19 PPR points, a stud, a must start, a superstar, Adam, a winner. >> Yeah. And it don't, it's, it's Cleveland. I mean, Cleveland's not an easy matchup. And he did it. >> They were today. >> Yeah, well, look, 23 pass attempts. This is what was a little bit of a concern. 23 pass attempts for Trevor Lawrence. I mean, and he completed 18 of them for 245 yards and four touchdowns. So it's definitely a winner there. He's who's the biggest loser? >> So am I supposed to give my biggest loser or the biggest loser that any one sent in? I think I have to say the guy that scored zero fantasy points in a game that his team scored 59 points. And he was a third round pick. The son of the Bears offense. There was no son today and they scored 59 points. I guess they don't need a son, Colston, Lovelin, really putting the love in Lovelin. If you're a tennis fan, absolutely astonishing. Cole commit with the touchdown reception, Lovelin wasn't even targeted for a large portion of this game. Clearly, not the focus, the son, the center, anything like that in a game where the Bears could literally do anything they wanted offensively. Wolf. >> It was pretty shocking. And Khalif Raymond was their high target getter here in a tremendous game for the offense here. So what do you make of it? Are you legitimately concerned? >> Yeah. Well, yes, 100%. I'm not saying I'm like benching Colston Lovelin next week. I might, but that's not my plan. I'm not thinking. I'm definitely benching him. There were a couple of leagues where I didn't draft Kyle Pits. Yay. Who scored the same number of fantasy points? >> Yeah. >> But it was, I think it was more concerning than Pits because at least Pits has the excuse of there's this terrible quarterback and we didn't run a normal offense. And so that's why I didn't score any fantasy points. The Bears scored 59 points. >> All right. Well, I think if I had to guess, I'm going to rank Colston Lovelin as a low in tied-in one and not a high in tied-in one. >> Wow. Wow. That feels a little over-actionary. If he was, Trey McBride, who I was probably the most wrong about this year, like I think for the most part, it's important for us to say the guys we think we were actually wrong about versus it was one week. We'll see next week. McBride feels like I was just wrong. If it was him that had a game where he scored zero points, it'd be much different than Colston Lovelin who had like a five or six game sample size where he was awesome. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> But there were no games like this last year once he got rolling. So I want to wait until I'm not telling you to mention whether or not I don't think anybody should do anything but start him. >> Okay. Hey, Heath, what do you think about this? So I actually, I tweeted this out. That looks fantastic. I tweeted this out. I was like, I wanted to, I just, sometimes it seems like on air I'm not being a good friend. Dave, I'm sorry, I didn't even, I didn't pick up on that. I did not pick up on that. Yeah, go ahead. Sometimes it seems like I'm not being a good friend. And I want to be a good friend. And even the books will sometimes offer you an out to bet where like you can get $40 if you're $50 back or $30 if you're $50 back. >> Early cash out. >> Yes, early cash out. I wanted to offer you an early cash out on our wager. You can start right now. Not shave until Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving morning. It's only two weeks or two months and one week. So it's almost a 50% discount, I don't know if I can do that one week. You don't shave until Thanksgiving and you have served the bet and accepted defeat. I'll tell you off the air, why I don't think I can do that. It's a legitimate, it's a work excuse, it's a work excuse. But I'll think about it. But by the way, the guy that you're backing has a hamstring injury and might miss some time. So I don't know that. Dave Flowers on one hamstring in one half is better than Devantesmiths. Devantesmith, I love the target share though for Devantesmith. Let's move forward. So some storylines today, Jamar Chase had a terrible game. Quarterbacks were great. I think when I look at three former number one picks, making a huge statement today, Caleb Williams, Trevor Lawrence, and how about Bryce Young? There was a beat reporter who said, I've been covering the, I'm sorry, I wish I remember his name. I've been covering the Panthers for 20 or 25 years or whatever and I'm telling you, Bryce Young is going to have a big year and we didn't take it seriously. He comes out. He's the number three quarterback right now behind Caleb Williams and Josh Allen here in week one. We saw Jalen Hertz in a new look offense. Honestly, like, didn't really feel like it was as good as the 30 point performance. Of course. Because it's Jalen Hertz. Like, I'm not sure that it was really sustainable and he wasn't really playing real football. And he scored 30 fantasy points. I was disappointed in the protection. He was under pressure a lot. I was a little surprised. The whole offense looked very disjointed and I'm very nervous. It's about seeing what happened when he tried to look down field between the numbers because he held the ball a lot and ended up either checking down, running, getting hit or throwing it incomplete. And it's, it's kind of awesome that he got to 30 fantasy points all of a sudden done. He should buy Dallas Goddard a steak dinner or something for that, but I thought he did not look very good. Yeah. I mean, I didn't think, Jared. I thought Jared Goff played like crap today too. I'm not saying it. He didn't score 30 fantasy points. No, he didn't. He did play like crap. Yeah, he did. Yeah. I thought Carson Wentz played like crap and he had a pretty big game. He was extremely inaccurate. It made some terrible passes, but he's definitely the comps we should be used for trailing her. You can score fantasy points and not, I don't think Jalen Hertz played that poor. I just think the offense was a little, and it wasn't on her. It's just the offense wasn't, wasn't great. Carson Wentz. Yeah. So here's your news and notes. By the way, we have a 12, 30 p.m. tomorrow beyond the box score. Me, Dan, and Jacob. We'll give you some of the leftovers, things we don't talk about today. Kyler Murray left with a concussion. They're at Chicago next week. That could be a fun game. Carson Wentz, 1% rostered, scored over 20 fantasy points today, scored about 26 minutes. 25. Yeah. 25 to 26. You've made five starts last year, and he scored more than 19 points, 19.3 once. It was pretty hurt though last year. Dylan Samson left in the first quarter, Jekori Kroski merit. This is, I don't know if this matters, but Jekori Kroski merit did fumble very late in the game. And I don't think he came back in unless he was in on the last two point try. I'll confirm it, but I'm pretty sure he did not come back in after he fumbled and did not lose the ball, right? I thought he was a minor, minor winner before that too. Yeah. Of course he did. And he may still be. But I thought it was interesting that Kachron Allen came in and really took over his role and not reshawed white. He was done after the fumble. I don't know if it's because the fumble, I don't know if he got hurt. We don't know. Wide receiver news. AJ Brown could be out six weeks. Dejan Striblin could be out at least four weeks. Safe Flowers, hamstring injury, Jekobie Lane, wrist injury. Lamar Jackson was having an amazing game and he basically shut it down in the second half during the game of the week. I think he had five pass attempts in the second half, something like that. Chad McConkey left late in the third quarter with what's being called a chest injury. Also for the Chargers, Kyondry Lambert Smith left with an injury. I don't know if he came back. Couple guys left and came back. Three of them, actually. Brian Thomas Jr. DJ Moore, Chris Olave, they left and came back. Two of them had huge games and Jets wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. left with an ankle injury. Chico Conquo got hurt late in the game. On the offensive line, Chris Lynchstrom for Atlanta. He left with a concussion. He's a guard. Aaron Banks for the Packers, he was inactive and boy did they get whooped up front in the fourth quarter at least to that day. That was the Packers against the Vikings. Packers had that game in hand and just blew it. I mean credit to the Vikings too. And then there's some defensive stuff I can go through tomorrow, nothing too huge here, although I will say this about the jets. The packers get the jets at home on the road next week. Jets already came into the game with a suspect secondary. I don't know if these guys came back. I don't think they did, but they lost two defensive backs in this game. Minke fits Patrick and Jarvis Brownlee. So it could be a big day for Jordan Love. And I was looking to see if anybody was shadowing. The only one that I feel for sure was a shadow because like Stingley didn't shadow. The Eagles didn't shadow McClaren. There wasn't a lot of that, but Christian Benford did shadow, Nico Collins. Honestly, from what I saw, I think he actually did a pretty decent job. And Nico still had like seven for 70 and a touchdown. And I don't know about Jalen Johnson on Teterola McMillan. I don't know if anybody noticed that. I saw him line up on him a few times, but maybe that was a reason why Ted had a good game, not a great game. But yeah, there's that. We'll take a look when I get the tape tomorrow. Only waiver wire. Some good options here. He wants to take a stab at the early waiver wire. Mmm. Caleb Douglas, I'll throw that at you. You had a big deal. Caleb Douglas is for sure in consideration. They will be playing the Raiders next week. I don't, I have a hard time putting. It seems so dumb. But like Kendrick Boren seems equally dumb to me to Cleaf Raymond. And I think Cleaf Raymond's in a better offense. And so I would probably lean Raymond, I don't want it. I'd like to pretend like both the Cleaf Raymond and Kendrick Boren thing will never happen again. Right. That's what I want to pretend like. I think, I think Boren is more likely than Raymond. I like Valey better than both. Part of it does have to do with the fact that we saw this from Valey at the tail end of the last year. And the Valey looked pretty good. I don't have an answer that I'm going to write an ink at Sunday night with the waiver wire guys. But Valey would headline the list, put in pencil at him. Yeah. Oh, Antonio Williams. I was really encouraged and surprised when we found out like Traylon Berks was in active. And Williams was the clear number three. And then actually a head of Terry McClure and it came to terms. Antonio Williams came up a yard short of a touchdown. He almost had a two touchdown game. He had four cat 64 yards in a touchdown and he had an almost touchdown. By the way, the almost touchdowns on today's show are brought to you by DK Metcalf who almost had three big plays in this game. One of them he definitely was interfered with and they didn't call it on AJ Terrell. The other two like one was a tough play. One was just a bad drop, but he had 10 targets and didn't do much with them. It's too bad. Yeah, Jamie is about to enter the studio and he's listening to me, but he, but I haven't put him in yet. So I can say whatever I want about him and he is powerless. But we're going to let Jamie if he wants to give anyone for an early waiver wire. Well, that won't end with Jamie cursing. Hey, Jamie. No, don't do it. Early waiver wire. We talked about Valle, born and who and Caleb Douglas. Did we steal all the good ones? Khalif Raymond. Yeah, we talked about him, too. He's interesting. I think Caitlin Black is under our threshold of guys to roster, so he should absolutely be added. Really today was really an argument for for two quarterback leagues, right? I mean, like there's some really good quarterbacks. Like, what am I going to make? Pick a price young? No. Yes. I don't need them. What league do I need? Price young and I'd have to believe we have Drake May or Justin Herbert or Justin Herbert. Well, you're going to take price young over Justin Herbert rest of season. No, but you're going to want to have the option on your bench in case this isn't a one week thing. I do. What's up? I don't even know if price young has a good matchup next week because the Steelers game was so weird. Right. Add Atlanta. I would argue that it's good. All right. We got a lot of winners and losers to tell you about. We're going to do it after we take this break and we'll break down every single game. And I think the running backs splits are super. You know what? Yeah. On the other side of the break, Dave, I want you to tell us two backfields that really caught your eye in terms of playing time. And as we go through each game later, we'll talk about the splits there and what really stood out. We'll be right back on fantasy football today. That is a almost 30 point difference. Yeah. And Apollo. I've already got at least one guy I mentioned saying Jamar chase is a total bust. We're okay. When it comes to one of his worst games, his worst game and which early round player do you feel like is going to be a bust after one week? Be easier. I don't know if I'm ready to just get it. Say any of them. Who did you say? I said Bijan, but I was kidding. I mean, Bijan with 173 yards in a touchdown. Yeah, I was joking. First two rounds or first round? First two rounds. Well, the layup here is Bowers because I'm worried about him when he comes back. He was a third-ground pick. You can't do it. Using. No, he was. Was it? Yes, he was. Twenty-three. First germ, I love. No, he-- Third? Yeah. Well, I mean, you got to look at the HN game and be a little concerned. Hampton. Yeah. Hampton could be up. Did he have a target? No. Not a lot of pass attempts, but still. Yeah. I mean, what was AJ Brown's ADP? Yeah. That's true. That's AJ Brown's answer. Yeah. AJ Brown is the answer. Devon HN would be up there, too. Okay. You wanted Backfields with some surprising splits. Here's one. Who was drafted first? Johnathan Brooks or Chuba Hubbard? Brooks. What a mistake. Chuba Hubbard. Sixty-nine percent of the snaps. Brooks didn't even play. Twenty percent of the snaps. Third downs inside the five dominated by Chuba Hubbard. And then speaking of Jeremiah Love, who was not a round two pick, Tyler Algier led the way for the Cardinals in their win over the Chargers. And in the fourth quarter, the Cardinals had 18 snaps. Jeremiah Love was in on three of the 18 snaps. The rest went to Algier. Algier had the edge on third downs. Algier had the edge inside the five. I don't expect it to stay this way all season long. But this was a sucky way for Jeremiah Love's career to begin. The Cardinals played a good team next week, though. They do. Who do they play next week? They play the Seahawks. But they're going to put up points, man. Like, they'll probably have to play their good players against them. Well, this was the ones, honestly, like this one I didn't expect Love to play that much, I guess. Sure. Because, you know, he was, he was questionable coming in. So I thought it was interesting that Bucky Irving had three catches on third down, you know. You look great. He did. Right. Right. All right. Let's get to some winners and losers. We'll talk about the backbales again as we go through all of the, all the games in just a bit. But let's get into the pulse pounding performances brought to you by whoop, the wearable device that gives you personalized insights into your sleep recovery, your strain and how daily choices may be influencing your overall well-being. Even Jamie never take their whoop off. And if you want to learn more, head to join.woop.com/ft, join.woop.com/ft. Jamie, your winners are the kind of similar. The number two wide receivers on these teams, Jaylen Coker versus and Devon Valle. Both had nine targets. Coker had a massive game, eight for 138 and two touchdowns. Valle had seven for 69 and a touchdown. Valle and Valle are winners for you. Are we sure Coker is the number two receiver on this team? This is, this is now you go back to the last seven games of last season where he has outscored Teterol and McMillan significantly when you include this game. You know, I was excited about him coming into the season, drafted him on a lot of leagues. I hope this is clearly not going to do this, but a sign of thanks to come that he's going to continue to be involved and continue to be a significant weapon. And as I said, you know, you're getting concentrated targets for these guys. We'll see, you know, how this moves forward, Darren Waller should have had a touchdown call back. But, you know, do they find like a consistent third weapon in the passing game in the receiving core? But I think you got to be excited about Coker. I'm still excited about Teterol and McMillan. I don't think we get 90 point games for the Panthers every week, but Jaylen Coker, somebody that I thought could eventually be a starter in through receiver leagues. That looks like it could happen as really as week two. And then for Devon Velae, you know, we said this going into the weekend, like this was a guy you want to pick up just in case he picks up where he left off and where he left off was People forget because he missed the final four games of the season last year with a shoulder injury But in the final four games that he played he was averaging his six plus targets per game He was averaging over 11 ppr points per game just shy of 12 and no Jordan Tyson and so here we go nine targets Seven for 69 in touchdown. I don't think he's going away. I don't think again He's been do this, but I don't think he's going away. So When we talk about waiver wire options. I don't remember who said it if it was Dave or RJ white We were sitting in in the room at the night watching games About who are the waiver wire receivers and one of them said Velae is the only one I'm interested in of the the group of receivers that we talked about Sounds like me. I think it might have been you but like When you start to talk about the Khalifa Amin's and you know Caleb Douglas and some of these other players that that had You know some stronger out of nowhere performances I Just don't think Velae is is going to disappear until Jordan Tyson comes back and we don't know when that is so offense we thought was going to be Explosive other suck 400 passing yard today and I think Vela is going to be a significant trip Shuck is one of my winners to Adam. I just think that the way that he rallied in the second half was Outstanding and he was a little rusty He didn't play in the preseason if I recall correctly neither did Olave neither did Velae neither did Juan Johnson They held those guys out, but we saw Chris Olave Man, it looked like he was on and off the field three different times in this game And he still put up huge numbers But there's obviously a world where Olave misses some time and if that were to happen Devon Velae is going to be the number one target in the Saints offense and Tyler Shuck looks like he knows what he's doing And I kind of feel like the game script for the Saints is going to be pretty much the same every week And we got a taste of it this week. So I love Velae I think that he's somebody that you could go and chase after and I wish I had gotten more of him in drafts I thought it was one of Jamie's best calls Remember we got to an argument because I was saying Velae and you go yeah, why are you playing Velae? You take Caleb Douglas and Chris Bell and now look they both look like you know great job Jamie I was arguing with you. Yeah, you were saying why you use your why use your bench spot on Devon Velae when you can I was arguing with you Velae. I liked Velae. I know. Yeah, but you want it. That's why we're complementing you want to take the dolphins guy No, but I just just I remember Jamie Okay, anyway, Velae just one word of caution here. I have to bring this up They did throw 56 passes and I remember yeah, and I remember don't because he had a 16% target share today Devon Velae You know, he also scored in regulation For what that's worth. No, he's seven percent roster. I mean, it's a it's a great. It's a great Call I'm not disputing it, but just to you know 56 pass attempts a lot of times you get those types of games They come back down earth at the 35 passes the next week things don't quite look the same I remember it exactly happened just like that with Don Tavian wicks a few years ago with green a green bay minnesota game where they threw like 50 something passes Dave has Parker Washington Tyler Schuck Tyler Schuck is 66% roster. He's at Baltimore next week. He scored 29.2 fantasy points and Like you said, you think the they're going to be playing like this Can I actually actually what's this backfield split there because I didn't love what I saw From H Travis H and they didn't run that much H and had 58% of the snaps Kendra Miller 30% And I have I have H and with one of one snap inside the five Miller had a touchdown run that was It wasn't short yardage is from eight yards out. Yeah, I can get you the number from inside the 10 But I think if I remember I didn't watch that game closely in the first half so I might be speaking out of school here But I think Travis H and was like in on the drive and then either got banged up or he called himself out for the game And in came Kendra Miller and that's why he scored Okay, seven catches I think for Travis H and but no Camara Heath you're winners. I'm going to give you three Is you have a tray McBride and you said get rid of McBride and let's throw in Christian Watson But I think McBride deserves it here with 13 targets in this game and Marvin Harris in junior having a very little role here But big one great catch big game for McBride 9 for 95 and a touchdown breeze hall and Christian Watson are your winners Yeah, I think I already said he was the guy. I feel like I was most wrong about it for one week Dave Kudos to him for having McBride tied in one not sure there's much to say about that breeze hall was A Belquel which is what we were hoping that breeze hall would be only two catches Which was a little disappointing but they didn't have to throw the ball a lot because they were up big in this game For most of the second half I think breeze hall is a borderline RB one rest of season Christian Watson I remember at some point this summer you said like what's the upside for Christian Watson if everything goes right and we said I mean I did at least If everything goes right he's a he's a borderline top 12 wide receiver That's exactly what he looked like in this game It was kind of disappointing that he disappeared in the second half for a while But I think he's the clear wide receiver one for the packers and They were extremely I'll be very interested to watch their splits next week because they were extremely past heavy in this game I don't know how much of that had to do with the Minnesota front And how much of that had to do with the fact they didn't have Josh Jacobs and didn't trust the running game and the run game Wasn't very good anyway So if they're going to throw the ball 35 times a game and Christian Watson's going to be the clear wide receiver one on a weekly basis He does have top 12 upside I mean just just like obviously it was a great game for him. He had a very long play For a touchdown, but he did a couple of long plays. Yeah, yeah, that's what he does But he wasn't even the target leader golden had three more targets in him or four more targets in him Does that bother you? By the way, they had a 70% pass rate in the first half like forget about the comeback effort in the first half seven They can't run the ball right now. Yeah, well they could know and Lloyd didn't look great either But we knew we knew they might have trouble against Minnesota, but but I'm just but the fact that golden out targeted him does that That bother you I he was more of a winner when I sent it in at halftime than he was for the whole game But I still think he's a winner After three quarters Watson and golden were tied in targets at six each Okay, David I About half those targets for golden came in the third quarter none for Watson Obviously, I can't help but love what we saw from breeze hall. We figured this would be a good game for me too But I think there was only I only remember one short yardage play it was a fourth and one and Braille and Allen scored a touchdown on it But it was called back all back so we don't I don't know that we got any short yardage answers that goal line answers I've got him for you breeze had all three of their snaps inside the five Braille and Allen was their third down back Oh wow kind of 12 on third downs that was very surprising because if you would ask me before the game I would have said breeze hall would be the guy that would still play on third downs and Braille and Allen would have short yardage goal line And I love breeze this week and I told you all off season long That breeze hall wasn't going to be my guy, but he's got a great early season schedule and week one was no exception. Go ahead Isaiah Davis didn't touch the ball, right? No, is he act like a committee with two guys is fine Almost everybody has that the concern with breeze hall was that Isaiah Davis is handling third downs Braille and Allen's handling short yardage and breeze halls the track back and he wasn't Isaiah Davis was active Yeah, buddy. He wasn't really all that active was he um Okay, thank you whoop for sponsoring this week's pull spouting performances with whoop You can better understand how your body is responding to the travel training late nights weather changes It helps you see what's supporting your energy and recovery and what might be holding you back so you can make meaningful changes to enhance your overall health And once again if you'd like to join heathen jamey and tons of other whoop users and learn how you can get a free month on us Head to join dot whoop dot com slash fft that's join dot whop dot com slash fft Onto hour losers colson lovelin we talked about um, but this i mean are we put in the bilo label here like how low are we talking here would you would you give up Would you give up who had a good game today like teta teta roa mcmillan or colson lovelin who would you rather have Lovelin Would lean lovelin i'm probably not selling low Lovelin but well you would because he had an extremely thin profile and he scored zero points in a game they scored 59 points He's so good though he's gonna be he's so good come on. Yeah, he was i mean i think he was great today I think ben johnson ben johnson kind of told you i'm gonna lead the NFL and scoring and they went out and scored 59 points like they're they're The potentials clearly there so I don't know i i i don't want to give up teta to get lovelin. I don't want to get give up lovelin to get teta I'd like to have pieces of both of those players um But like if that's if that's the type of player you have to give up to get What i still think is gonna be one of the better players on that team like you do so And your other loser was Jonathan Brooks and we talked about both of those guys I guess the only thing if you want to have have a little optimism for Jonathan Brooks Maybe i don't know if he was fully healthy. Maybe they were just giving him a game and maybe next week looks different And i'm not dropping him Sure, he just looks more like a handcuff again. Yeah. All right. Well, we'll see what happens next week. Dave's losers are Quinchon Judkins who was 73% started and had 50 total yards and two catches at the Jaguars and The Steelers who you know, I watched a lot of that game. It was one of the games I had streaming and not by choice and It was like how is this game not a blowout? It is crazy, but Quinchon Judkins and and the Steelers. I'm scared to death that this is gonna be how the Browns games are gonna go this year Where the offense is just not gonna be able to hold up its end of the bargain It puts the defense in bad positions Browns have to chase points in the second half. What's left for Quinchon? Judkins one of the things that I was hoping for was that Quinchon Judkins would get a lot of targets and catches as part of the offense for them He had two targets and two catches and I don't know if that's a Dishon thing and it'll get better when it should her sanders or Tail and Green or Dylan Gabriel or Archmaning. We just don't know, but I'm officially nervous about Quinchon Judkins Coming through where we drafted him and being able to overcome What seems to be kind of a hopeless situation for however long the Browns offense Flounders like it did in this game and the Steelers speaking of floundering their offense wasn't really that good I thought DK Meck half really blew an opportunity to be Good this week and then a sell high-candidate and then we can run them off our teams. Their schedule is really bad coming up The run game was very messy. I did not feel good about where the Steelers are offensively And and I don't know if I feel good about starting any of them moving forward All right, I mean kind of I you know that's a little like For now right for now is only one week. Well there Was there any stealer knowing? Cleveland maybe that's exactly Jamie right. I mean they all they're not a single must start on the team Right the the thing that I was hoping to see which I don't think we have a Definitive answer is do we have Rolls for the running back so you can sort of say okay this guy's gonna do this this guy's gonna do that if there's anything It's the five catches for Warren and maybe that's the Kenneth Gainwell short area target guy for Rogers So like he was my preferred running back and I went back and forth on it So I'm not considering say I was warned the entire offseason But he was the one that I settled on just because I thought this was how it was gonna go It could change next week for all we know you know just cuz it's not like Doubles a bad pass catcher or can't pass protect. It's not like Warren can't run But if there's something that you take away from this at least for me It's okay if I if I drafted one of the two or if I drafted both for any reason I'm gonna lean more and over doubt. And I'm pretty optimistic about the 10 targets for DK Yeah, it was a good thing for sure and Aaron Rogers even kind of talked about that is like I didn't really have a training Can with Michael pitman his pitman was hurt, right? Yeah, um as far as Warren versus Doutl I mean, Doutl had a really bad game as a rusher 15 yards on what like eight carries pull up the stats here Sorry, he had yeah, he had eight for 15 Warren had 10 for 46 Warren had five catches on six targets Doutl had five targets if you didn't look at those stats and you just looked at the snaps and you looked at who played on third down And that kind of stuff Doutl out snapped him Doutl played more on third down They were kind of split it pretty evenly, but there were some third and threes where Doutl was in there But but Warren just outperformed him, but he did also fumble Warren Jamie's got Jamison Williams who didn't do much with nine target weird game for the Lions 4 for 45 on nine targets for Jamo and Chris Godwin. Yeah, I mean this just sucked for for 40 on four targets I thought a book will look good, you know, so that's something there So, you know, for anybody that has both or, you know, hoping to see a healthy a book I think that was a problem for Godwin a little bit early They were trying to feed a book at a start the game. So hopefully Godwin is a little bit better I mean really the whole box offense was Very disjointed with all the turnover spaker did not have a good game Thankfully, they play Cleveland next week where Trevor Lawrence just did whatever he wanted to do and all the receivers did well So I wouldn't necessarily panic about Godwin per se for Jamo. Yeah, it's just a, you know What felt like a failed game for a lot of the Lions. I mean Jared golf was my start of the week got lucky that he got the last touchdown there to get him to 20 fantasy points Jamira Gibbs was awesome and and St. Brown, but you know the port and James and William was really combining the two of them You just hope to see a little bit more when they're getting those chances and you know, I think they will So I wouldn't panic on any of these guys, but I was just frustrating that the Lions I was just trying to think of like which line could I could I put in there in the fact that he got nine targets you You tell me most weeks that he's going to get North of seven targets. I'm starting James Williams and this is just one of those poor games I I thought he was the reason the Lions had a weird game He just had a hard time grabbing the ball when it was right there both on an end around and several targets He was also wanting to have one down at the one. Yeah, he did. Yeah, Jamal No more touchdown. Yeah, Jim cut his hair. You never want to do that. Mm-hmm. That's bad. Yeah, do I have to update the photo here? I think if you got a look at the last three games that Sam LaPorta has played He and James and Williams are now are within one target basically every game. They've had the same amount of targets Basically, I think like it's probably 24 to 23 JMO and over the last three games Okay, some goal I we talked about the goal line stuff. We didn't really see much from the Jaguars in terms of that But Chris Rodriguez they've gotten to goal and goal to go from the eight or nine yard line and Rodriguez was in Djokorikroski Merit really controlled that backfield for the most part until the fumble in Minnesota It was probably a pretty even split. It's at the goal line. They both got goal line touchdowns in Arizona we had Alger mostly, but love had what a four-yard touchdown. I think five-yard touchdown We had a lot of almost touchdowns when Zay flowers had his first big catch and he came up short of the end so I was like, yes It was not to be he had another one There was a lot, but Yeah, you know, you probably don't need to know anything. Okay, well, to get into the games when we come back since an Addy Tampa Bay is the first one Well, you know, we got to do the leaderboard too. We'll look at some of the top scorers and then we'll get into the game So we'll be right back on fantasy football today Wow, what a trade offer Wow, yeah, you want to you're at win-down mode baby. Let's go. Hey, what do you think about this one? Uh-huh as the 90's the guy I just got offered from Adam a first round pick next year for Jalen cocker I have you give up the first round pick for Jalen cocker. Yeah, I would I would not do that. Oh come on. Are you sure? I would not I would do it What happened? Did you win this week? Did I win? No, Jamie. Oh, oh, I don't know yet. I think I'm uh in a dog fight Okay, well if you win you should definitely trade for cocker I sent it to him while he was talking about cocker as a winner. I just figured you know get those good vibes going Oh, you have cocker in that league. I know there's I think the other league I have cocker Yeah, I have cocker and I offered you him for your first round pick. Oh, okay. I thought you wanted a first round pick That's a no Second round pick. You don't have to kill you don't have a second round pick unfortunately. I'm getting killed Um, okay Caleb Williams Josh Allen Bryce Jung Trevor Lawrence and Jalen Hertz are your top five quarterbacks Dave, are you buying Bryce Jung as a guy that is going to be good for fantasy this year? Do I want to carry him on my bench and see what happens over the next week or two? Sure Would I rather have Tyler shock? Yes, okay. Oh, he thought you would you have Bryce Jung and see this job, right In the super flex league. Yes, and I said I might lose. We're both uh like projected for 190 points this week. That's wow Atlanta Cleveland Detroit the next three games for Caroline and then they're on a buy after that. It's pretty good It's not bad. I mean based on today If we're just going by week one is there a bad matchup that exists? I mean there was a lot of offense today Uh, all right the top five running backs in week one where Derek Henry. He's good. Jameer Gibbs. He's also good Deandre Swift Ashton genty six catches 45 yards and two touchdowns plus 23 carries and Bijan Robinson So it was like some of the very best It was a star studded group. So why don't we talk about um, I'm sorry just to cut you off real quick But did you know that the just the one o'clock games alone? There were 21 running back touchdowns Wow And the Bears game was the highest week one highest scoring week one game ever It was the third highest score for the Bears ever Wow amazing Heath Deandre Swift man like Manongai by the way giants are going to the Super Bowl Manongai Not um Not really much of a factor. I know we had the big run, but Swift had a great role today Yeah, he had a great role early in the game Manongai here Carried a lot of the stuff late in the game. They both looked fantastic. The run offense remains the best part of this offense Um We got to feel great about Deandre Swift as a high-end RB two 56% of the snaps to Manongai's 44% Yeah, that's not a great split. I wonder you have first three quarters I can get it. Yeah, it's well when we when we get to that game. It was a bigger split in the first three quarters I would think so I believe yeah Okay, we've got the top wide receivers this week jimmar chase had six. No jimmar chase was not one of the top five That's weird Uh, but jalen koker was number one Christian Watson to just in Jefferson three. I'm on russain brown four chrisolave five And I would say Jamie that if you told me Carson Wens was going to be the quarterback I probably would have drafted just in Jefferson Do you think Jefferson is better? better off with Wentz then Kyler? - I think that remains to be seen, but clearly we saw Jefferson perform very well with Wentz last season. He averaged 16.6 PPR points per game in the five starts that they had together, four or five starts, I forget exactly what it was, so I apologize. So we'll see what the Vikings decide to do. They are not committed to Kyler Murray long-term. So these are two guys that are not franchise staples for them. So I'm gonna guess that if Kevin O'Connell feels that Carson Wentz is his best quarterback, he will probably stick with that, but they chose Kyler Murray for a reason, and hopefully we can get great production from Kyler and from Justin Jefferson. But you talk about most added players. Super Flex Lee's Carson Wentz should be at the top of your list. - Yeah, for sure. - Chicago, Tampa, Miami, New Orleans, by. That's up next for Minnesota. - Okay, tight ends. Tramick Bride won, Dallas Goddard too. He had five targets. I think Jalen hurts through 24 passes. Mike Gassicki, that was weird. Seven targets for him, 78 yards in a touchdown. Dalton Kincaid was insanely good today, and Pat Fryermuth is a top five tight end. Wow, so you know, running back, wide receiver, well I guess running back super chalky, wide receiver kind of a mix. Tight end, not that chalky at all, but then McBride, Jamie's quick thoughts on tight end. Anyone got lucky with the Johan Johnson catches late, the touchdown late. I think LeBlanc will clearly be better. Trying to think who else. - What kind of statement was this from Goddard? Is this a sell high statement? Or is this a, you stole the drafts with Dallas Goddard? - I don't think it's a sell high statement for a team that we knew was having to replace this number one receiver and Goddard scored 11 touchdowns last year and got you off to a great start with two. So I'm very happy to have Dallas Goddard on several teams. And I'd be looking, I mean, look, would you turn Dallas Goddard into Colston Loveland, that's a move to make. So, you know, if you really believe in Colston Loveland, which I think a lot of people do, I wouldn't be trading Colston Loveland for Kyle Pitts right now. So, you know, just looking and looking at guys that were. - You wouldn't be doing for trading Dallas Goddard for pits. - I would not be trading Dallas Goddard for Kyle Pitts. - You said Loveland for pits? - No, no, I said both. - I think Dave shook his head when Jamie suggested the Goddard for Loveland. And I assume that means he'd rather keep Loveland. - I would. - Yeah. - I thought pits had a better excuse today than Loveland did. - Yeah, but. - I agree. - Who'd rather have rest of season, Loveland or Goddard? - Loveland. - Loveland. - Oh, he don't question yourself this probably, Loveland. - He's probably a bad game. - It was just very thin evidence coming into the year. - But he's such a good player. I mean, he's a fantastic. - He looked really good today. - Come on. - Give him a break. - Through the 4PM games, there were 10 tight ends that had at least six targets. All but one had at least nine PPR points. It continues to be the thing to look for when you start a tight end. You just stare at him and say, all right, can this guy get six targets? And if he can, you've got a good shot for good fantasy numbers. - I think if there's another takeaway from the Bears Panthers game, it's that the Bears defense is gonna be absolutely atrocious. And that's gonna lead to them not playing with a significant lead. They're gonna be probably in some games where they're chasing. And that's where Loveland will come into play. - I'm sick to my stomach that I don't have enough Chicago Bears on my rosters. Cincinnati 33. - I worked out this week for Caleb. - Oh, that's the funny thing is it like, you know, if I had burden and if I had burden and Loveland then, you know, Cincinnati 33, Tampa Bay 27, strange game, Baker Mayfield with three fumbles, lost them all. - Also a pick that was called back 'cause of an offsides. - Yeah, very turnover prone today. Good thing you signed that contract. So, Heath or you, me and Jamie were very high on Chris Godwin. Dave was like 10 spots lower in the rankings. Are you concerned about Godwin? Four for 40 on four targets. Only 28 pass attempts for Mayfield. - This was a defense that was very good against wide receivers last year. I didn't entirely believe that had to do with their skill level. They were pretty good against wide receivers. Again, in this game, I'm slightly concerned. I wasn't really, I didn't draft any Chris Godwin. I was more high on him this week 'cause I, I thought it was a shootout and I thought Baker was gonna hold onto the ball. So, it'd probably be a low end wide receiver three next week. - The only ran 52 plays the bucks. I wonder if that was the lowest in the NFL this week. - The charger's pretty low. - The Titans ran 49, the Seahawks ran 48. The Cowboys only ran four with this other second possession. Browns 49, actually the buck. A lot of teams were around 50. That's pretty low though. Okay, on the other side of the ball, Dave, what do we make a Jamar chase in his invisible game of two catches for 12 yards on four targets. His worst game in his last 63 games. - You're gonna keep starting them. There's no way it's gonna be like this every single week where Mike Giseki is dominating Jamar chase. There's no reason to be. You can be upset because your first round pick had a terrible game. I did not watch enough to know whether or not Jamar chase was like limited. Did he look limited? Do you guys, did anybody get eyes on him? And no. - He is coming off of hypersendony, it's fair. - Right, so if he didn't look under percent, then that's a reason to be concerned. I don't know if he did or if he didn't. Someone in the chat probably watched that game closely and has a better idea than I do because I didn't watch this game closely. But I would imagine that as long as burrow and chase are on the field, there will be opportunities for huge games from each of them. The whole point of drafting them was because you know what their upside is. Why would you set them? - Okay, fair enough. And is anybody going to add Mike Giseki? He is 4% rostered. - I'm not. - Because I can do that. - Yeah, a deep tie then premium leak? - No. - And no. Buffalo 36 Houston 31. Very fun game. - Yes. - You definitely shouldn't take Josh Allen too early. - Make sure you don't draft him too early. - 39. - That's the defense man, they look bad. - Honestly, I mean, I've obviously watched a lot of Josh Allen, we all have, and this could be a silly statement 'cause I don't remember every performance. But this is like as good as I've ever seen the man play. He was, when a great player has one of his best games, it's really fun to watch. And he just was amazing. - Especially against a tough defense that he had his number before. - He also, I don't know who said this, but I saw it somewhere. He should send Lassiter a fruit basket for dropping the interception at the end of the game. DJ Moore, I was way off on DJ Moore. I don't know if you guys felt the same thing. - Oh yeah, I've got to play well. - And incredible catch to get the touchdown. Most of his damage came in the first half, but I think the thing that it does, it just opens up, it opens up, it can cater, it opens up a little for secure. Palmer gets the touchdown at the end. There's just now plus an offensive minded head coach that I get to benefit. Dave does a little bit at the end of the day watching games with Pete Prisco and Rand Carthon and guys that know the game very well. And Pete, for years, has been complaining about the bills being so predictable and running on first down all the time. And they did not do that today. And Joe Brady was a little bit more open with the offense. And so that just shows you, like you heard all training camp, Kinky playing more snaps, doubling his snap count. I don't know what the snap count was today, but you can see what that guy's capable of when he's on the field. So DJ Moore, Kinky, I think these guys are clearly muster options moving forward. And James Cook, I wouldn't panic. I think he's gonna be fine. I think this is a signal to the rest of the league of what they're gonna do. And I agree that James Cook is gonna be fine, but it sure looks like this offense will be in Josh Allen's hands. Maybe even a little bit more than it had been in the past. And the fact that they were willing to go after Houston's secondary with DJ Moore on a bunch of downfield throws. It wasn't just one or two. And yeah, it was a little fluky how I caught that touchdown because Reed Blankenship went for the interception, missed it, missed DJ Moore, more caught the ball. And it was a walk in touchdown from 43 yards out. It's still, it's still very interesting, just what his usage was in this passing game. And it did open up everything underneath for Dalton Kinkade, Palmer on the post route for the touchdown. There was a lot there. And this could be finally to Pete's enjoyment, the best version of the Buffalo Bill's offense under Josh Allen a quarterback. He asked me today during the game after watching this Josh Allen. So to your point out, who would you take right now? Healthy My Homes or Josh Allen? And I still think most people would say healthy My Homes. But like, I don't think so. I take Herbert. Of course. Maybe 52 snaps for Kade. That's a really high share. That's great, yeah. All right, listen, to move things forward, he's David Montgomery at three touchdowns today. And he wasn't great per carry. But for all the talk about a 50/50 split, it was nothing like that. The split was really good. The efficiency from Montgomery was really not and the touchdowns were awesome. And that's what you're banking on with David Montgomery. Okay. He's not going to score three, but it'll probably score him up one most weeks. No, but you gotta feel better about him or Basel Tutin right now. I'm more confident that the Jags offense is going to be closer to what they did this week than I am that the Texans offense is going to be closer to what they did this week. So I think to I think to still in a better offense. It's still a better offense, but here was a high scoring game that Houston hung around in. And I don't know how many times recently they've been in a lot of those games. There have been some, but I remember the one from last year, it was Davis Mills at quarter back. There were probably more than one last year. I think it is a little concerning the Montgomery and Marx basically split snaps. It was 51% for Monti, 49 for Woody Marx. They each played eight of 16 on third downs, three of three inside the five for Montgomery. So he's got the edge there. They do not want Marx near the goal. I don't think it helps. All right. Let's go to our next game here. A lot of touches. Chicago free. It's scary. Oh, no, wait. I got balled. Oh, the game of the week. Yeah. Great call. Indianapolis 23. Look. It started out great. Can I have a guy's question? I don't know if you guys talked about it. Is the bet per game or is the bet total points? I think both. I offered him an else. No, I think it's both though, right? That's so much. If I have to win, no, to win, you have to win both. It's win both. Yeah. Or the tie breaker is points in the playoffs. Yeah. Which I never agreed to. The fantasy point. So you 100% agreed to it. Yes. That's the point of the game. Like Zey flowers maybe done for the season. He's going to win. I'm never going to catch these points per game. Well, it might take Zey, what, two and a half more weeks to catch, or two and a half weeks to catch. If Zey flowers didn't play half the snaps, this game doesn't count. That's right. No, I told Dave that I said, you know, by Adams of original rules, this game would not have counted for Zey flowers. Okay. So the bar, Jackson, was great today. We'll talk about him later in the week to see if we think maybe he won't be as great without Blaine. Who knows how long Lane and Flowers are out on the other side of the ball. Lane, Lane looked bad. Well, on the other side of the ball, Josh Downs played like over 80% of the snaps, which was great, but he only had four targets. Jamie, what were you, what were your takeaways for the Colts? I was going to say, I almost put Downs as a loser and then I went and saw that he played so much and so we'll give him another week. But it's the same thing that we've seen for each of the last two seasons is Kenan Allen running wide receivers that we want to start for fantasy football. And Kenan Allen didn't do anything that we want to start, but he did just enough to make the other guys gross. Yeah. I kept thinking about your first read rate for Daniel Dones and his first read was Kenan Allen way too much. Yeah. And, you know, Alex Pierce, I think given credit here, 61 yards on six targets. That's awesome. I thought he looked a little bit better as the game went on. Yeah. And Tyler Warren just got lucky. Tyler Warren did get very lucky with the touchdown. And Josh Downs had both of his catches early on, both I think on slant routes over the middle. And then Daniel Dones just totally went away from him. Maybe it was something the Ravens didn't coverage to shut him down, but I thought that was very odd. Man. Their opening drive was awesome. Yeah. And Taylor's awesome. I was ready. I was ready to gloat. They should scratch the whole gamer. They should Jonathan Taylor's awesome. Man, he's so good. Chicago 59 Carolina 37. So I mean, obviously the whole talks about love one, but burden, what didn't have a great game, either five for 63 on five targets. You imagine you'll be starting him against Minnesota next week. Luther Burton. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. And then on the other side, I think we've really covered this. Yeah. I don't think there's anything else to say about the panthers that we haven't said. Anything you guys want to add? No. No. Okay. Jacksonville 34, Cleveland 10. Harold Fanon, Jr. Yep. It's going to be it's they're going to have to make a quarterback change sooner rather than later, right? You can make it a couple. Is there gold? You should have done it a half time. Nope. Oh, man. Cop. You're right. If you're trying to lose games to Sean Watson's or man, he is awful. It was terrible. Yeah. He's one great throw. So it was with minutes 50 left in the game. What do you make of? I don't know. The Brian, like the whole receiving core Brian Thomas, junior three targets, Parker, Washington, six caught five of them for 83 yards and it's not sure what Thomas Thomas left for a while, right? I'm looking it up right now. So Dave, let me ask you a question. Would you drop Concepcion for Valey? It would be a move I would consider at this point. If I told you that the bond Valey was going to have a 16% target share, then you probably wouldn't. 19 snaps for BTJ out of a possible 49 with Trevor Lawrence. Obviously he wasn't going to play once Trevor Lawrence was pulled. His last snap was into the well into the third quarter. I think we have to see what they look like in a competitive game. They should get one next week. So let's see what Denver, yeah. So let's see how this all shakes out. Parker watched and definitely made a great statement for the contract negotiations that were going on this weekend, obviously. I don't know. I think you feel pretty justified if you drafted him fifth round, maybe sixth round, seventh round, whatever. Depending on when you drafted, like, he's their guy. Okay. Let's go to the Atlanta Pittsburgh game at Atlanta 20, Pittsburgh 13. Believe it or not, forgot about that. Well, somebody asked his two in the Bible candidate. I would say yes. Sure. I just thought, is he? Because I really think that Chris Rodriguez is going to be the goal line back. I don't think that. I think it's, if I had to guess, I would guess it's Rodriguez more often than not. Yeah, but the idea would be is that you're getting too cheap now or cheaper than he was going. So, like, if you had, if you can, if there's a manager in your league that has Tutan and AJ Brown, and they need a receiver, and they have a good running back that's like trying to give them a receiver to get to. Okay. How about, believe it or not, nothing that happened today with Kyle Pits and Drake London matters for their rest of season value. Believe it. Okay. And we talked about the Steelers running backs. We're at New England next week. That will not be an easy task. Detroit 31, New Orleans 30, and overtime thriller Tyler Schuck 56 passes 29.2 pass attempts. What do you guys make of Trevor H and Travis H and nine carries Miller had nine carries. H and had seven catches. He ran 29 routes. The other running backs for the Saints, ran a combined 12. But Jamie, I think you're the only one who didn't comment on this. We talked about it early in the show. But there was no comeira today. I don't know. In a game that went like a full overtime, it was 31 30. You would hope for more than nine carries from Travis ETN H and yeah, and it's not like they were behind, you know, they got down 21, nothing, but they were in seven, nothing in half. And I think 14, nothing through three quarters. So it was a good comeback effort by the Saints, but they still could have run the ball a little bit more early in the game. I think the most encouraging thing is, you know, Heath brought this up with Kyle and more in Philadelphia, like he doesn't typically throw those running backs. And so that was a concern knowing that and still should be a concern that comeira will probably play on a little bit more passing down situations or obvious passing situations I would assume. And that could hurt H and but if they're going to involve the running backs in the passing game, I think that's an encouraging thing moving forward. So hopefully that's something that we see as a staple of the offense. But I think if you're Travis H and we got excited and Adam, you were sort of in on him. The majority of the offseason, I know you got more encouraged when the comeira news happened as did I. I think probably all that the fact that he's back as soon as he is, because I think at least for me, I was thinking maybe three, four games you can miss that that's going to be a problem for H and maybe they use three running backs now, which could be even bigger problems. So we'll see what this looks like moving forward. I'm still going to start him, even if comeira plays. You just hope that it's not going to be this lack of involvement as a rusher. If he's still going to be involved as much as receiver, I love it. Okay. And the lions of the lions keep starting them. Would you rather have Sam LaPorter or Colson Loveland rest of season still love one still love him. Yeah. Okay. Jets 23 Titans 10 you're bailing on your number two tight end already. It was crazy. He had zero points in a game. They scored 59 points. He was supposed to be the son of the offense. He was not even a factor in the offense. Yeah. But you can't bail now. I feel like this is a bit. It was cloudy. It was cloudy. There was no Sunday. I'm not telling anybody to do anything drastic with Colson Loveland, but I don't think we should just act like, yeah, you know, he's clearly an established superstar. Maybe we shouldn't worry about this. Maybe the Panthers are the new bills. That's just the best team against them. Maybe you never know. You never know. So Jets 23, Tennessee 10. We saw what we talked about, Garrett Wilson, a nice game, six catches 79 yards on seven targets. Mm-hmm. I mean, Jets with the Jets. Cam Ward was bad. I feel like he was under pressure a lot. But Tony Pollard, 53% started. Dave, can't feel too great about that. Yeah. That's why I didn't rank him as a top 30 running back. It's not the matchup that really worried me as much as what's going to happen when they fall behind. You see Taijay Spears playing a larger chunk of the workload in the fourth quarter. But it was 12 of 17 snaps in the fourth quarter for Spears. They had 13 combined touches. Yeah, that's not even a real game. Yeah, I just think that this is a ugly offense and you shouldn't start players from it. Yeah. Karnel Tate was only 19% started, maybe another one or two bad games people might start dropping Karnel Tate. Would you call it on the contract here? Yeah, I think so. Yeah. I think we need to start rooting for him to get traded. Okay. Uh, Minnesota 39, sorry, would you drop Karnel Tate for Devon Bailey? No. Oh, uh, worst player on my team. If Karnel Tate is the worst player on my team, I might think about it. I'd think about it. Jamie, what were your major takeaways from Minnesota 39, Green Bay 22? Take the points, man. I think he can keep the fuel. That was amazing what happened after that play. Just how Minnesota's defense completely destroyed Green Bay's offensive line and Jordan Love couldn't do a thing and everything went right for Minnesota from that point forward. So I thought Jordan Love looked good until the end, you know, and so the interception was off a tip. The run game though is you got to be a little concerned. Yes, it's Minnesota, so I wouldn't necessarily panic, but I think as no Keith brought up earlier with Christian Watson, I think it'll be better for Jane Reed, Matthew Golden. And I thought, got off to a good start. I think it'll craft to get better as well. But until most likely Josh Jacobs is back, this team could struggle to run the ball. They do get the jets next week. Jets are coming off of big high minutes. The packers are coming off of terrible loss. So, you know, you know, usually happens in those moments. So I'm going to be encouraged about almost everything, Green Bay, with the running backs, most likely still March on Lloyd as at best deflects. Christian Watson. But these numbers here I find in true media that's probably accurate, but tomorrow it'll definitely be accurate. 83% route run rate for Christian Watson was terrific. 20% target share. We're hoping for higher than that, but 20% could be okay if they throw the ball a lot. Just give me my mic spot for him. What he did last year was eight months removed from an ACL tear. He's now two years removed from the ACL tear, which is when we see these guys usually at their best. Like this could be an absolutely smashed season for him, as you know, Keith said before. It could be, you know, top 12 tag wide receiver. Okay. I guess I was going to say like would you consider selling high or you just want to write it out? You know, like if you're turning Christian Watson and into Jamar chase, clearly, yes, you do that. If you're, you know, same thing with Puginacua coming off of this point of game two. I'm not selling for somebody in the same draft range. Yeah. Okay. No. I'm not turning Christian Watson into Luther Burton. Everybody drafted Luther Burton first. All right. And on the Minnesota side, Aaron Jones, Jordan Mason, pretty, pretty similar stuff here. They both scored, but if they didn't score, they're having terrible games. So it's right. Yeah. But that's going to be the case for them every week. Not if one of them catches passes, neither of them had a catch. Right. I think which is weird for Jones. Yeah. 19 pass attempts for Watson, five from our, so only 24 pass attempts in the game. Keep that in mind. But that is weird for Jones. Any interest in Hawkinson, five targets, four for 36, and a touchdown for TJ Hawkinson. Slightly more than Micah Seki. And more interest than I had a week ago. Right. Dave, what was the snap count for Tucker Kraft today? I'll look it up. All right. Let us know. Arizona 26, Chargers 14. I love it. I love it. I love it. I'm just so glad that real football is back, we, we're real football is back. They did make the playoffs last year, and the Chiefs didn't, you know that, right? That's true. That's true. They want to play off. They should hang, they should hang that banner. They didn't win a playoff game. They made the playoffs, the, no, Justin Herbert's never won a playoff because that's right. Um, do you want Tucker Kraft now before we let he take the floor? Yeah. Just just Chargers discussion, um, about two thirds of the snaps for Tucker Kraft, pretty good. For sure. And Tucker Kraft had three catches for 65 yards on six targets. Yeah. I, I guess I would just to make the point about the Packers, maybe we could make it about the Cardinals is there, they're going to be, maybe there's going to be some Christian Watson weeks. And then the next week is a Matthew Golden Week. And then there's a Jaden Reed and there's a Kraft week, you know, it's week one, you know, and for, for Marvin Harrison Jr., he got three targets today on 37 pass attempts. Is that just a bad week, or is this really concerning? You have to be concerned. I mean, you know, it's not just the fact that he had that, that there was a lack of targets, is that there's somebody else in the mix in Kendrick Born, you know, and we didn't see a fourth player last year, you know, it was, it was two or three, depending on who was healthy. And I think you look at it, when's the last time that they had a hundred yards combined from their running backs? Because it felt like last year they didn't have that at all. And so run game better, defense obviously was better, you know, I don't know how much of that was just the charge was just being completely inept, but like next week's going to be a problem for them playing Seattle, like they could be ugly. But at the same time, their offense, you're, you're starting McBride, you're probably starting love as at least, you know, a low and number two running back, flex range. And then Wilson, Marvin, I wouldn't buy into Kendrick Born just yet are probably still in the wide receiver, three discussions. So, you know, this was, this was just a great game and give a full credit, like he coached a great game and the chargers looked like complete ass. Here's a question from the chat. It's a good one here. Quentin Johnston for Jalen Cocher, Quentin Johnston had two catches for 17 yards on six targets. I'd like to know what lads injury is first. Right. I wouldn't no matter what you would. I would drop Quentin Johnston for Jalen Cocher. Okay. I'm not there. I don't, I don't think I'm there, especially if McCocky was out for a considerable period of time. The chargers only had the ball for 22 minutes and 29 seconds. They had a bad day. At the office first thank game with their new offensive coordinator. We expect more from them. Maybe he doesn't. But I think most people do. No, I expect more than losing to one of the worst teams in the NFL by double digits. They go at the Raiders, I say they get the Raiders. Yeah. Buffalo and Seattle Denver after that. Yeah. They could be one and four. They won't be running for. They could be on five. They're a good team at a bad day. The survivor pool is that we get these every year, right? We get the Browns beat the Bengals last year, you know, in week one. The Raiders beat the Patriots last year. The Raiders beat the Patriots. It's a great point. Yeah. And the Raiders beat the Dolphins. Even though I put it in my notes as the Dolphins beat the Raiders 27 13, I'm pretty sure the Raiders beat the Dolphins. Do you have a Devon Hampram yet? Yeah. You tell me. What do you think? Hamp had 11 carriers for 36 yards. He had four catches for 30 yards. He had five targets on 27 pass attempts, which is a very good target share. Yes. But like how worried are you? The offensive line was off. You're probably asking the wrong person if I'm worried, but I was always worried. This team stinks. Like it's, it's bad. The offensive line was, was over on the worst. I saw all day. Yeah. Overmatched. The generators. I didn't see much of it. So that's, that's bad to know. Uh, it's genty. Sell high on genty. It's a chain or genty rest of season. I do. If genty is going to catch two touchdowns and get six targets every week, it's 100% genty. Yeah. He's not. Yeah. I'll just, I'll just be honest. Maybe like six targets, but maybe four. I'll be transparent. I'll be transparent. I had genty ranked ahead of Hamp before the ankle injury. You did? Yes. So had that not occurred, I would have gladly drafted genty first, and I would take genty over each end of, uh, before the ankle injury, genty was going in the first round. I mean, it was top 10 pick, I think, an ADP, at least some ADPs. Right. Yeah. And maybe the ankle was nothing. The whole Mike Washington's going to have a role thing. It's just so sick of this crap. These reporters telling us and these coaches telling us that people are going to have roles. And they're just not, I mean, yeah, there's a role. But great. You win a technicality. It could also part of it being they played Miami and genty had got off to a good start in the game and they leaned into it. And this is going to be probably the easiest matchup the Raiders have all year long. Wait. It's not like a charter charge. It could be. Come on. Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, start the Raiders DST next week, uh, uh, uh, cousin, cousin's had some very nice throws and like two of the worst you'll see a week. I think, um, you know, maybe you could argue that when Brock Bowers comes back, the genty isn't as involved in the passing game. Uh, sure. Sure. This, uh, it was disappointing for Tucker to see that it was nice touchdown catch by Jack Bash. Like, this was the fear, I think, for this Raiders offense was that there's not going to be a lot of anybody else but the tight end. And maybe it's both tight ends when Bowers is healthy, especially after what they just paid mayor. So, you know, I think mayor gave you good enough production that Dave gave you the numbers with the targets. Like anybody was it north of six? Yep. You know, so six for 32, you would have loved to see him get a touchdown, but this is now four games without Brock Bowers, where he's average over seven targets premium. Right. It's five. There were four last year. Uh, he only played three. No, I'm sorry. You're right. You're right. He was four. Yeah. Three of them. So there's three he's only been good in two of the five games that he's played without right He played he played three games without powers of the five the powers missed. He played four of the five Charger I think I got I got in cussed. Yeah, he played four of the five and he was bad and weak 18 I think maybe you didn't count weak 18. He's bad and we can't see both both of the bad games last year We're against the chiefs for mayor and today was disappointing six catches for 32 yards But six guy in full people are like six catches didn't kill you one more game here And that would be Philadelphia 24 and Washington 22 really fun one step on digs with a terrible penalty I guess you could say it didn't really Haunt them I guess because they got the two-point conversion opportunity at the end But that really bothered me. Well, they could have you know, yes, it was bad They shouldn't he was only started and it was a topic after the game for sure He was only starting seven percent of leagues and he had nine targets four for 55 and it touched down high How surprised would you be if Stefan digs were the best wide receiver on the commander's this year? Not I'd be surprised Just a little Get a little range there Okay, I think there's one thing to keep my day when I noticed is at the end of the game Crosky Marit after the fumble Jacobi Lane took my men to the game much covalent K. Tron Allen K. Tron Allen. Excuse me. K. Tron Allen. It's got a wrist injury He's gonna be out. Yeah, I don't know where I got that I was thinking of Jalen Lane I don't know why but K. Tron Allen came into the game earlier in in the second half had one carry came out Crosky Marit had the fumble the commanders recovered it and then Lane was in essentially the rest of the game. Nope K. Tron Allen Yes, and and also we talked about that about 35 minutes ago At the top of the show that's okay. That's okay. We're repeating I bet and it was I think It was really Kind of an altering thing because I thought Bill was a winner up until that moment Like I thought that game had gone pretty well for him. Yeah He got a little lucky with the touchdown score that he's lying on top of somebody's body But still like the Rashad White had very little role in this game Yeah, it was a good game for him and in a matchup that we thought could be tough and I would I would also my last thing would be forget about the bet thing But I think I think the opportunity to buy low on Devonte Smith and I like the fact that he had 25% target share and usually you know hold you pretty well with that I think should be a nice wide receiver to I think borderline wide receiver what I'd say and you know That it's a flyers doing better than then Jamar Chase right now. Okay. It's only one week It's only one week. I offered him an out Jamie. Maybe it wouldn't take it. I know I'll tell you why but how nervous are you about Z-Flowers injury though? He forget about the bet. I'm not really he looked more annoyed To me because I was watching quite a bit of that game on the sideline than like hurt So I was maybe this is a week. That was the issue was dealing with yes in camp, right? That's why I'm concerned because it was so that's why you gotta have some concern. Yeah, I got a week off He might take a month off if it's Significant I hope you I will gladly lose the bet the people who drafted Z-Flowers deserve to have Z-Flowers I hope he gets out there he's such a great player and so we have AJ Brown going on. I are we have stribbling probably head to tie our sounds Like right. Yeah, what are the other injuries that we know safe flowers. We don't know let mcconkey. We don't know And I got a lot of these players Yeah All right, thanks everybody for watching and listening.
