We Went on MasterChef and Lost Our Minds | @igumdrop @AngelsKimi @AriaSaki | Office Drama EP8

The women—Jamie, Aria, and Kimmy—reflect on their unforgettable experience participating in MasterChef, a journey that transformed their lives and relationships. Living together in an Airbnb without phones created a unique, immersive environment where they bonded through deep, unfiltered conversations, shared humor, and personal vulnerabilities. The absence of technology forced genuine interaction, including spontaneous storytelling, zodiac guesses, and comedic moments like Aria’s deadpan joke about a contestant’s “run on MasterChef,” which caused a moment of silence followed by laughter. The experience was emotionally intense, especially during the Africa challenge, where team dynamics and family support became deeply meaningful. They highlight how being on television felt drastically different from content creation—marked by strict schedules, production pressure, and lack of control. Gordon Ramsay’s presence was described as surreal and iconic, like a real-life anime hero. The group found personal growth, emotional connection, and a renewed appreciation for authenticity. They also reflect on the physical and mental challenges, such as cutting themselves on a mandolin and the stress of timed cooking. Ultimately, the experience affirmed the power of real human connection, friendship, and support—especially in high-pressure environments—making it one of the most formative moments of their lives.

when gordon ramsay walked in for the first time it was like watching naruto walk in he's so iconic i shook his hand she hasn't washed it since one of the contestants he's like i went up to aria and i was like do you want to hear a joke aria turns to me you mean you're run on masterchef two seconds people are horrible towards women in gaming and streaming i was so angry that you guys were treated like that it made me want to be a better creator so that i can retell your narratives online i'm just really grateful you guys came with me probably the highlight of my decade feel bad for my future husband because i don't think it'll top it what do you think is one thing that television does better than creators and what do you think is one thing creators do better than television i cut myself for the first time on a mandolin i was like oh it's fine and all of a sudden there's like blood gushing down office drama welcome back to office drama where you're talking about the inner drama behind people's career breakthroughs we just sat down with jamie eichemdorf to talk about her debut on the reality tv show masterchef and during that time she actually asked three good girlfriends to come to support her as friends and family and guess what i have all three of them here today welcome everyone we have aria jamie kimmy and myself today is going to be somewhat different from all the other episodes it's going to be like a chaotic gremlin episode where we just try to recap everything we remembered when we were on masterchef in the behind the scenes in the production set living in our airbnb together it's going to feel really different but i thought it'd be really fun because it's a big part of all of our careers we had to take off time from work to do that and we want to reflect on how that changed us afterwards i know all these girls but you might not or maybe you do but i thought it'd be fun to do introductions where each person introduces someone else okay well this is angels kimmy she is the asm artist of the group and she's also a live streamer and she also runs her own candle business called gentle flame yes thank you we love a business woman oh gosh that was lovely thank you jamie jamie was actually the one who encouraged me to start a candle business or not candle business but business in general so let's go business woman thank you aria aria aria saki she is also a live streamer hardcore gamer we're talking like 48 hour no no she's a hustler she's like the biggest hustler in greg right now what's the longest stream you ever done well you're only allowed to go 48 max but yeah maybe 60 you're only allowed to stream for 48 hours straight max or like without sleeping they would restart like a oh i see i see so what's your i would sleep i would sleep on stream it's she's also super talented very talented knows how to do everything yeah really good baker made her bok choy yeah baked our gender reveal cake and made a whole ass bok choy stand up yeah she knows how to dance oh she can dance okay shake her booty and she has a bunch of cats and dogs yeah she has like a whole farm of animals how many three dogs three cats but i want more oh yeah what's next a hamster oh what if they eat your hamster oh no they won't oh all of us have worked professionally as content creators but i think going on tv was like a completely different experience they did take away our phones remember so that was uh that was awful i was really worried for aria are you addicted is that what it is yeah for aria i was like i don't know what she's gonna do i was on my phone and then like it's something i didn't tell her because i didn't want her to like think about it too hard that she wouldn't get on the flight so i was like ah it's okay she'll figure it out can i bring my ipad they're like no can we bring a book someone they got in trouble for the book they got their book taken away and we kind of lost our minds but i would like to go back in time jamie when you knew you were going to go on master chef and you had to ask who would be your friends and family what went through your mind then i thought i would just go alone because this girl was ready to just go alone yeah i was ready to go alone and i didn't think about how big of a deal it would be and then i thought about it and i was like wait this might be like bigger than my wedding and so i was thinking like who should i bring that like would really want to show up because it's a huge thing it's like really long you have to fly all the way to a different place you have to take time out of your work like who's crazy enough to do this i almost feel like jamie was in denial at first because she just casually asked me and i'm like jamie this is a really big deal like this is really cool you're going on master chef yeah but she's like you can't make it like yeah no there's no way i'm missing it no but everyone here was just like yes like 100 yes and i was like yeah i'm gonna do it i'm gonna do it i'm gonna do it i'm gonna do it and i feel like that's why i like asked you guys and i thought it was because it would be an experience that you individually would get a kick out of too it was a milestone for me that was my first like television debut this whole thing's to you oh i mean that was my first television same so aria was a definite yes say less i'm like don't care everything's x'd out of my schedule i'm going did you have to sacrifice anything to go probably yeah i'm sure you guys all did it was a long time i was like this is longer than if i like got married if i had a destination wedding like i'm going to that too and kimmy were you an automatic yes or you're like oh my god travel i was at first a bit confused too because of how much jamie was downplaying things and i'm like is this something i should go to but then the more i thought about it i'm like jamie's the one who's lost it i'm like she's gonna be on tv and like i need to be there to support her she can't go through this alone this is a life-changing event for her and also for for us to be honest if we all went as well um just life-changing kind of like in our friendship if anything yeah so i think this is a really good opportunity for us to all go together i knew chloe would get a kick out of it like why because you just like like new experiences i do it seems like as long as it's not like hiking oh yeah but anything in media i feel like you're interested in so i was fascinated yeah and then also i look he was like who should i invite that could like socially talk to people chloe was chloe was making friends with all of the parents in the audience oh my god these three girls were so popular with friends and family it was crazy when we don't have phones like we just start talking to everybody yeah yeah you guys were yapping we're different we're in a different dimension aria had like made like a best friend talking about anime and oh those boys yeah hades hades uh son yeah yeah we were just talking about anime the whole time i felt like our daughter like found a playmate yeah i was like she's entertained for like four hours no it was good we locked in we locked in we talked about all the anime og ones new ones jamie who was the third choice oh my gosh my first one was definitely aria no no you were my first just because like i hesitated on youtube because you like i knew you guys don't like traveling i used to always call aria like when i was baking or cooking and i would ask her questions and so like it felt very right for me to ask her first and she was like my i swear there was not a third because i put you guys like kind of together too i was like okay kimmy and chloe like i would want them to come as well it was like really easy for me to decide it's because in your mind at the time like aria and chloe you guys weren't really close back then so then oh that's true so maybe i did i thought about like the three girls that would be okay like being chucked into an airbnb and doing this yeah yeah and even though you guys didn't know each other i was like i think it'll be okay yeah no your intuition was right yeah actually we can talk about that a little bit yeah yeah kimmy got the couch did you okay because of that setup what so basically because we didn't know each other yet no okay so basically the airbnb had two rooms on opposite side of that room and in the middle was living room with the couch so then everyone was like oh we can take turns on the couch but then i'm like it's okay guys i'll take one for the team like i'm the one who knows like both of you guys we were so tired we just like knocked out every day but yeah i took the couch because it was in the middle of the two rooms but it worked out the couch was really comfortable so i don't i don't mind i was so curious like i mean i was stressed because i was like getting ready to do my audition and i was like oh my god am i gonna fail but in the back of my head i was like are they gonna be okay i'm like are they eating together we had fun we had fun yeah it was a fun time you know what was really surprising was these two girls took the 7 a.m flight to yes yes and chloe was like i prefer a later flight jamie was like i'll buy your flights i'll pay for your airbnb and i was like nah i'm good i'll get my own flight she was like i'll get a 7 p.m flight yeah we're like down for the 7 a.m but i think it's because aria stays up i didn't sleep that night no girl i did not believe the fact that aria does not need sleep but then we lived with each other she would be waking up at the crack of dawn for no reason but it worked out i suppose yeah yeah i was closer to my first impression of aria i think was learning um lost her too juicy ah oh yes for the viewers what does that mean oh yeah when like someone's complaining but it's like not really like come on that's that's not really a problem that's like a good problem to have so at the time i was using that with my other friend group a lot i forgot what you were complaining about i don't know if it was me i think it was i think it was kimmy was it kimmy complaining about being budalicious oh my god oh my eight not exposing eight no way it was your it was your pants right oh yeah you were scared of your pants oh like i was wearing pants that like really emphasized um some assets of mine you know and i'm like is this okay for tv and i'm like oh my god lost her so juicy buttery i'm like no guys i'm serious no we literally have an inside joke with kimmy where it's like she always says something and we're like okay kimmy like we're so sorry you have a fat ass yeah literally and then i guess you didn't know the phrase at the time but i didn't yeah and then it's crazy it was funny i was so shocked oh my goodness but we arrived you all arrived like midday and then i arrived at night and y'all had dinner and then that night before master chef we took some cute pictures oh we did oh my god i remember seeing them and i'm like oh my god wedgie and i'm so glad you have these photos so cute so the way you printed it out it looks like summer camp we went to summer camp together it felt like when i was a kid i was like oh my god i'm so excited to be here and i'm like oh my god saw you guys walking with my face gigantic on a sign i was like oh my god they actually did it i was like this is crazy i feel like we've inspired the future generation to to like to like really yeah i'm sad the face wasn't shown that much on tv though i know it was during my cook though yeah okay yeah a lot of the family and friends were saying how like they loved the girl energy you guys had weird is also dialed in for jamie i remember i know on day one which was really hard because we had a 7 a.m call time who do you think woke up first was aria it was yes definitely aria and then who do you think woke up second i feel like it was kimmy yes it was kimmy yeah i think it was always last i was always last what time do you think they woke up i feel like she woke up at like four or something she did you did ma'am miss ma'am no she always says this she always says this like when i go on trips what time did kimmy wake up i'm just really excited guys it's like a field trip or like you're like i'm like i'm like i'm like i'm like i'm maybe like 5 20 she got up around five yeah and we are not morning people none of us oh my gosh the whole time i was like oh my god i'm so sorry guys but i didn't even want to say anything because i was like sorry guys girls do you know how long we spent doing our makeup in the morning i was always the fastest yeah i was fast i did my makeup in the car like getting here yeah kimmy like chooses to take her time i like blacked out i just remember being so tired i'm like i'm not waking up at 5 a.m it's so long but i feel like we had to show up for it we have a picture of our first selfie at the studio that's so cute we look good i forgot did i take that picture this was this was at the master chef studio since we're going to canada and i knew all like the the food scene there i would order from like my favorite spot yeah and like wake you guys up with the food what was that place yeah a and w yeah and i was like oh my god i'm so tired i'm so tired but they also like sell like burgers and stuff yes it's so good and i just wish la had it because you're from toronto i'm from vancouver vancouver okay so you know you know the spots i think we were all super tired were we anxious going into the studio all the friends and family in one room right and it's just three asian girls like yeah it was too early to be anxious like it was just way too early at some point that i started doing my makeup in the on the car too or in the bus i work yeah i was like i don't know how production does this like more than everyone else was crazy you guys had to enter the production set first yeah and we were all hidden yes did you know where we were so i had heard like like little whispers from cats like oh i think family and friends are like in the room over there and i felt like i was like in kindergarten again like are my parents there like i kept peeking behind the curtain i was like and then i was like i was scared because i didn't have your phones i was like what if they overslept how dare you yeah i was like what if they overslept and then all of a sudden like i hear someone say like oh i see your friends and they're holding like giant signs of your face and i was like who said that they said it in a really happy way or something but they wasn't a surprise yeah it wasn't a surprise i forgot who it was yeah it was someone maybe it was daniel i don't know it would be daniel it would be daniel i'm something like that yeah we were on the side behind the curtains i remember we had to get shushed so much yeah yeah and then we went in and then we surprised you how did that first feel like to see it it felt like when you're in like third grade and your parents come and then they're like and you're about to like go into like your relay race or something yeah so that's what i felt like yeah how did it feel like for you guys because you know jamie wanted to have um this master chef experience i was so proud of her oh my god right like when we walked in the master chef doors and there's cameras and there's cameras and there's cameras and there's cameras and there's cameras everywhere there's the decoration set up everywhere and then we see the contestants we see jamie it didn't feel real right we were just so proud it's like a favorite dream jamie will forever be like a little sister to like you know we've known her for so long so it was surreal seeing her at the master chef stage i know it's so cute it was amazing we all wanted to show up for you yeah yeah you guys showed up like 200 percent i was like oh my god i'm so proud aria what was it like for you to see gordon joe and tiffany in person they're they're like sparkling in real life their aura is different oh yeah when gordon ramsay walked in for the first time yeah it was like watching naruto walk in what what i know what you mean like i can't believe he's real and he just he's so iconic it's like watching your favorite anime character it was out of this world yeah i get that yeah it was really surreal it was surreal yeah day one i think we were all just really hyped and excited yeah i mean it was a long ass day it was like 14 hours yeah but it goes really fast and you don't expect how much effort goes in behind the scenes for every single scene so much effort that goes into everything it's like a huge crew everyone is coordinating and talking to each other on a earpiece it was crazy because the days that i did that with you guys like i did it again and again and again and again after you guys left i know did you guys talk to a lot of production people or crew on the first day did you guys talk to a lot of production people or crew on the first day one i talked to a couple it was cute one of them knew who we were and asked for a photo yeah that was really cute that was so cute what like yeah i've been watching you for a while can i get a photo yeah of course what the heck that's so sweet one of the producer assistants right his name was adam and i talked to him a lot during my time there too he's like really sweet when we got to the day that asia had to compete we were all psyched we're all freaking out because like we went in and they announced it's asia pacific and they were screaming it was terrifying it was because they didn't tell we didn't know no we didn't know we didn't know so like i had no ideas i didn't know when i was going to cook they wanted your raw reaction i was expecting to cook like any minute all the reactions are actually real yeah because they don't really tell you anything because they don't want that like first you know impression on that day we all overslept and we missed the first bus oh yeah they had to send a private charter oh my gosh we were so tired yeah anyways that day it was like super draining it was announced you were on yeah but it was like took a while for you to get there and then all of us had to be by your side yeah yo yeah how are you feeling because you were like in the audiences with us i was just like on pure adrenaline like i remember like standing in front of the kid like the giant kitchen and i'm like jamie it's time to like cook i was like it's time to lock in i remember seeing everything and like i couldn't hear anything around me but i could hear you guys in the side like i don't know but like i was like i don't know i don't know i don't know it was just me and like my ingredients and i was like making sure i had everything and i was like oh my god i only have one shot at this i was like this is the moment you're natural oh my gosh how are you girls feeling kimmy are you was this during her first confident i was like jamie got this i have no worries to be honest like none i was freaking out i was freaking out i'm like oh my goodness because in the this wasn't in the cut of the show but like talk about it yes we can talk about it basically like during my cook i had to mandolin the cucumbers and like while i was mandolin the cucumbers i wasn't using a guard and like i could hear kimmy going like oh my god don't cut yourself don't cut yourself i was going so fast and i cut myself for the first time on a mandolin like i've never done that in my life i felt so bad i'm like was that anything i was like oh it's fine and all of a sudden there's like blood gushing down my arm and i'm like oh medic it was a lot it was it was bad it was a pretty bad cut but jamie like was a trooper she locked in even more yeah the medic was amazing because i was still like roasting my peanuts yeah it was like you gotta stop cooking it was so funny because like we were pure opposites kimmy was like oh my god like slow down so during that and i was like nah nah you're fine you're fine you're good you're good i was like nah she got it she's good she's good she's good yeah we see blood every month we're fine and then chloe the whole time was like what is she doing what is that what is that oh what's that aria what's like is that i am not sure what i'm looking at yeah i became like a narrator yeah yeah never even watched master chef but she was like what's what's the apron for like i don't know if you guys like do this but one of like the people on crew you know we were you know you're making conversations like oh my god are you so excited to be on like master chef and i was like dude i've never seen the show before like why why are they competing for an apron aren't they already wearing an apron to cook i'm so confused like what are you doing you're What is up with the apron? She was like so hype in the crowd. It was exciting. It was very exciting. yeah yeah I was fascinated and I was learning I was curious do you think you're interested in watching like a future season or like in general it gave me a lot more appreciation for food and cooking because I learned a lot in the audience like everyone just talks to each other in the audience like especially Aria because Aria would explain why things were good or bad and I simply cannot tell it was the first time in my life that I learned that food creators can be bad and I thought people who made food on the internet were like all good at making food and no there's a lot of fakers out there who suck at cooking I would say like a lot of food content creators obviously they're not gonna go on MasterChef because it really tests your like skills so that was scary for me because I was like shit I might like eat shit and like be a fool on the internet but yeah it's hard it's different and it's like cooking in the kitchen is different too like that's a whole other thing yeah but I think I'm more invested in people's stories I like the story yeah the stories were good but I think MasterChef is very twitch twitchy centric twitch native right so it's very yeah within the communities a lot of twitch people watched MasterChef on stream and stuff people will be watching your season soon I know it was your time limit 45 minutes or 60 45 45 what I know like can I even make shin ramen in that time who are you you're gonna get soggy noodles 45 you're gonna burn the pot like I'm really confused that's a crazy time limit and we decided that every girl had to tie their hair oh my god we did something different what did we do girls we had to tie our hair up like in the beginning of the cook like we had to do it on camera I think for like the sake of continuity so like the audience knows like it's the same person you just tied your hair up but I like really wanted like a high ponytail because I was like I don't want to look bad like on my first episode but like the rest of the season I just like my ponytail looks so bad because I'm like so lazy but anyways I was like Aria like can you please tie my hair and then I asked production I literally asked like two minutes before like the cook and I was like oh can Aria tie my hair blah blah we'll make it like a whole scene the time starts the clock starts everyone in the audience is watching and so I bend down and Aria starts to like tie my hair but she's like struggling a little bit you're too tall yeah I think that's too tall and then she was like she was like get the onion get the onion like she like yelled at me to get the onion so I like grabbed the onion I started like chopping the onion while she was tying my hair up and then the audience was like yeah I like I was like we're scrapping the first try just grab your thing and do it and then we got it this time and then we're like oh my god we're like oh my god we're like oh my god we're like oh second time around yeah whipped your hair yeah my hair like whipped over I mean you did make it into the cut too like the hair tie yeah really yeah I made it yeah I mean that's why my hair like whips to the crowd I heard them cheering they were cheering now like that hyped them up yeah it was a girlhood moment it was a girlhood moment that with the mandolin cut Rita one of the other contestants she was like yo girl you really stressed me out during your cook like you really stressed me out no because I I think it was stressful to watch me cook I think at some point especially when I cut myself people were like oh my god is she gonna be able to finish in time guys do you know about her setting her paper towel on fire video oh yeah the house mini fire and then there's like a cut in that video where she changes her camera angle and slowly gets out the fire blanket while the paper towel is burning fully and I feel like that is Jamie's performance essence under pressure she still wants to be cute and funny but it's crazy like there's like a crazy thing happening she's like we know we know something in my brain gets stimulated by it I like it the chaos yeah but I perform well yeah you do and then if it's too peaceful my brain is like I don't like this were you nervous doing the hair tie no like I got this I know her hair yeah she does know me it was yeah it was fine it was just mainly I could absorb your like frustration with the because I knew you wanted to get it wasn't an onion it was a shallot shallot yeah it was a shallot brought the shallot like you were like like I could feel it I could feel your jitteriness and I'm like yeah I'm absorbing this while I'm tying your hair I'm like she wants the shallot get the shower yeah and then once you grab the shallot you're like relaxed peeling it yeah oh that makes sense yeah I was more relaxed once the shallot was yeah you have something to do you have to pull out the food from that box right on the side is that already organized in a way that you want it or it's random it's random that's why like a lot of the contestants like they'll organize their station right yeah it's a master chef kitchen like the mantra is like clean kitchen clean cook good cook do you disagree oh no I agree wholeheartedly I just can't Aria and I are just like we're whirlwinds yeah I did get better after master chef but compared to like Daniel he was like so clean except for when he did push-ups on the floor and didn't wash his that's true I wash my hands every time that's true that's true that's the first thing I said I'm like floor salt okay it added seasoning it's just seasoning uh you were the only one I think that made it to the cut on television shaking Gordon Ramsey's hand yes now I can say I shook his hand yeah forever and people believe me she hasn't washed it no I literally haven't washed it since whenever I do ASMR whenever I make candles Gordon Ramsey basically is touching the mic and the candles yeah yeah I can confirm I've never seen him sorry why did you go with a wagyu satay I wanted to do something like more elevated mm-hmm but you have to have like four different dishes and you don't know which one you're gonna cook so I had to like really think about the four that I could do and then one of them was the wagyu satay I think satay is just such a classic Malaysian dish I thought this through I thought if I did skewered meat it would give me insurance that I would be able to tell like how the cook is because remember like in the last 10 minutes I took one of the cubes like I added a cube on purpose and then I cut open into it and it was like a medium rare yeah and I was like okay I'm gonna do this okay like and I know the skewers are good so it was kind of like a strategic planning for me as well to do like skewers and then also like protein oh these wins like everyone likes protein a good protein if you do protein right so I was like I want to do a protein is that easy to do in 45 minutes I think it was all the components together that was harder because I had a rice and then I had a pickled salad and I had the peanut sauce like the peanut sauce actually like takes a long time so and I had to strain it too so that it was like more elevated so it was a lot of components for 45 minutes yeah and make it look pretty too yeah and saute usually needs like three hour minimum marinade so it's like the first thing I have to do for the marinade but I took some shortcuts like for example like the marinade I used for the saute I ended up using that as the aromatic base for my peanut sauce so then I could cut some time so it's just a lot of planning and then we finally finished your challenge and Aria knew you knew she was gonna do well duh but like did you feel it Jamie it's so weird because outside of the cook I was really worried like before I cooked I was like oh my god I'm so nervous like what if I don't get my apron I was really doubting myself but like when it was time to do it I was like oh I'm doing this like I'm getting this damn apron so I think like in that moment I think my only worry was if the other dishes did better because Asia Pacific was really competitive for the auditions yeah so that's where I was a little scared it was hard it was like I feel like I got it but also you just never know could you tell Kimmy I knew she was gonna make it because I tasted her dish before MasterChef so she lived really close by so she'll like drop off food for me to taste test so I tasted a lot of her MasterChef dishes when I tasted those skewers it was so good like I still feel like the one I made you was the best because I got to marinate it longer it wasn't even Wagyu too the one that you made me yeah that one was Wagyu it was Wagyu oh I'm so jealous of the judges she had my first rendition of that dish so good like if this doesn't pass I don't know what's going to pass MasterChef so I knew whatever she was cooking was gonna be good also your station smelled so good the best it's nothing we can smell so many it overtook any other station oh thank you and then you had your your cook reviewed that was crazy like inside that is still probably the most like surreal moment of my life like I walk in and it's even crazier in person than on tv like you walk in and you're just like eye level with like Tiffany Derry Gordon Ramsay and like Joe's right there too with all the spotlight on them and then it's just like my dish it felt like I was in like a video game like another dimension yeah like a video game where you like go to the scene with the chefs and it's like yes yes yes and you don't see any of the cameras because it's like everything is so pitch black so it's just like my food and like the three judges and I was like oh my god I was so nervous like I had like no aura in there like I was like I was so nervous I was like hi when they said they liked my dish I was like we really it was great and then us three were outside waiting yeah you guys are waiting and then you made a comment no matter what happens we'll be there for her and then they made it into tv why is that funny I was genuine because it's just funny because it's like no matter what happens we'll all be there for her I don't know why that's so funny it made this scene more dramatic yeah it made it dramatic yeah Aria was so confident that you would make it that we didn't even have a plan for when you would not get the apron you know because we all have to decide what we're gonna do if she gets it and versus she doesn't I thought about debating you guys oh I we thought you might but but I was like I feel like Kimmy might faint so I was like yeah no I would know Aria would know yeah like I knew Aria would know already so I was like I'll just wear my apron yeah we were practicing and planning out what we were gonna do when she makes it we really didn't consider if she didn't but we're When she comes out, she'll have her moment, and then we'll all run to her and scream and jump in a circle. Yeah, we coordinated. And then we had our signs, and we're like, remember, signs outwards. Yeah. Signs facing the opposite direction. audience and the camera yeah it's not double-sided it was synchronized it was very planned yeah and then you felt relief when you got it yeah i was happy i felt so relieved but then i was like oh my god i have to compete in this competition i was like oh it starts now that moment might be the one of the best moments of my life so i'm really glad you guys were like a part of it like it might be i mean i don't know if i'm gonna get married but maybe it won't be it wasn't winning roti chanai no i like this a lot better oh yeah it was the first it was the first and like it gives you such a sense of validation and self-worth versus like the roti chanai win was good but i was like really stressed like this one was like ah like and then it was so nice to have my friends there like it made a huge difference and also like i think having family there can be more stressful especially like immigrant parents because like they're really worried if you fail but i knew that if i failed like we would just be like oh jamie okay let's just go eat curry barbecue like i was like i had a backup plan like just because i didn't make it like i'll just like explore wherever we were with you guys and like vacation chill at your airbnb i think i had a huge appreciation for aria's precision after that we just sat you know in the peanut gallery of the audience and then just like the whole time is listening to aria's commentary you just knew freaking everything yeah you just knew how do you know i started off cooking and baking yeah but like not everyone can tell right i feel like aria's is goaded in a different way i did it outside of school too yeah she applies it to like everything in life it's not just cooking or baking like she can apply that type of observational skill to everything in life it's really impressive it was awesome but yeah what was like being in the peanut gallery everyone i was so locked in do you remember the conversations we had there okay so the thing is since we don't have our phone we're limited to what we have in our brains already we can't look anything up okay so it's like we can't distract ourselves like it's all about what we already know they were coming up with prompts while i was like focusing on my phone like it's all about what we already know they were coming up with prompts while i was like focusing on the cooks and stuff like okay how much would you do this for and we're not gonna say the prompt because it's really inappropriate but she was like how much would you do this for we were losing our minds yeah because it was like no phone and we had to sit there for like 30 minutes at a time doing nothing and we couldn't pee not all the time we taught you a lot about zodiacs though i changed oh that's true the mbti and astrology sign conversation it got to a point where you were all guessing everyone in the room and their mbtis and their astrology and then it got to a point where aria was determining what kind of astrology sign would be good for my child yeah and i learned that a capricorn child or an ascorbic child but not an aquarius child wait this is before you're pregnant yeah so she was planning so aria was telling her her recommendations of zodiac signs for her child yeah it's all for fun it's not for real for fun all because we didn't have our phone so we had to talk about something you know what's bad when the hypotheticals come in there are a lot of hypothetical questions would you do this or would you rather do this like we were just talking about things yeah i felt like camp was no reception it was kind of beautiful though in a sense i think we all talked to each other as humans for the first time since like phones became popular we were super loopy because there was crazy lights on us the entire time and our eyes started to flash and we're like i can't see straight anymore so how much would you do it for kimmy aria's like oh like how much would you you know dance on stage for kimmy's like i don't know like a thousand dollars and then aria's like what about nine or ninety nine and then i'd be like okay yeah i guess then that's not your bottom price no and the crazy thing is is she would do this to me at like 4 a.m in the morning as well when i'm sleeping and i'm like aria i'm so tired she's like i'm tired can you stop she's like but it's not your bottom price though then it was a menace laughing maniacally in the audience and i was getting worried i was like oh my god are we gonna get in trouble you know if you look at the episodes we are always cackling in the audience like in the back of the scenes yeah we're always like talking and cackling back there and the thing is like we didn't know there was a mic above us i kind of knew yeah there are mics everywhere we didn't know how sensitive that mic would be they're sensitive okay so then they're sensitive someone on production yeah they're like listening to they're probably laughing they're probably so entertained they probably loved it they should pay us for that entertainment they didn't tell us to stop they didn't no one did yeah we had a great time we had a great time and then we came to the africa challenge and i think that was like the most emotional day actually that was so emotional yeah why was that emotional guys i think there were a lot of like people on team africa that we wanted to get through i think people were like really hyped up at that point everyone was there were a lot of emotions and i also think their family turnout was the biggest so it was really emotional because there was a lot of family and then at that point like we got really close to the family it was crazy it was really hard do you remember who you got close to on team africa pete you guys got close to pete i got close to pete some some reminders oh i think that was the morning of the morning of team africa day i think we all missed the first shuttle actually that morning oh that's how you get how they how we and then we were like second shuttle second shuttle you got close to daniel's shirley family yeah aria and i got close to isaiah we were cracking up i still crack up thinking of those conversations so funny so funny yeah what was the question that we asked aria this is aria's question may you explain to the public eye so with mbti the second letter n versus s there's like a little story you can tell someone and then based off of their response you can tell whether or not they're n or s i asked him i'm like so a horse walks in a bar and he orders a drink how does that go and then usually the s they immediately question like the horse and like the drink and it doesn't it doesn't make sense to them they'll talk something about like the logic or analyzing it more so ends tend to actually immerse themselves in this and you know they'll start they'll neigh or they'll be like can i have a drink but isaiah really locked in and gave us a really compelling story and we were just like he painted the whole yeah he did everything he was the producer director of the entire horse walking into the bar movie and we were just cracking i thought at first he didn't at first he was like how is that possible at first he gave like a very s yeah answer wait so a horse walked into a bar we thought he was gonna be s yeah but then he was like got it he painted a picture beautiful picture he cooked so funny so funny i know a lot of people cried during some of the reactions yeah it was emotional because it means a lot to people and also like the family is there yeah and it's a lot of like pressure and like intensity so yeah it was it was it was really intense it was really did you crack at me are you an empath um so those are two separate questions i'd say whoops my bad no but i'd say i'm an empath but i also am kind of on my villain era no i'm kidding oh i like it i like it she's not kidding because she's not kidding i think i feel things pretty deeply yeah i remember when pete won yeah the whole audience like i was shaking everyone ran up there we were like yeah pete's support system is solid yeah that was awesome and i think i remember the one thing that really that i got locked in on that day was a station three chopper do you guys oh my gosh yes yeah there's like stations in the but sometimes they'll have like like npcs like npcs in the back they're awesome they're awesome just because they need something like going on in the camera on the back so it might not be an actual contestant but it could be like someone so we call them like a chopper and then like some of them actually were like cookies so we started like doing commentary on the choppers and they weren't allowed to talk so they they're literally like robo npcs and they like put like onions in the pan and we're like oh my god i didn't turn them because these choppers are only given like leftover vegetables and they're not about to turn on this heat or anything yeah so they're just they foul as hell do you one chopper i legit was like oh no no you're not doing he made like a salad bowl sludge like it was the the like right when we got our break call the first thing i did i beelined down to that station to look at the monstrosity and i'm looking at it and i'm like dumbfounded i look at him and he's making a smirk and i'm like you know what you did here and this is awful what is this so funny no one of the one of the choppers were really good he made like the bruschetta oh yeah yeah that was the bruschetta it was like he took the bread and then he cut it and then he put like cheese on it and then like he toasted it too and he toasted it in the oven so i thought that was a kale baguette kale baguette was that the one where we all started cheering yeah we all started cheering yeah when you put it in the oven we're like oh yeah mine was in chopper three mine was it was funny all i know is bowl of sludge i remember that that was wild that was a good moment do you remember what people said about our aura they said we are intimidating do you know that jamie what they did a lot of people came to me and they were like they went to you okay like pete would come up to me he'd be like i didn't know your friends like had it like that whoa i think because like we're all creators or like from the la space and thought we were just really intimidating to everyone like we were yapping it up with every single family and friends in the audience because We're like, oh, my gosh, we don't have our phones. I don't know. These three are pretty, in social situations, pretty, like, can be pretty extroverted. Surprisingly. I don't know. It just came out. And, you know, everyone in the family and friends, they were so proud of you, too. They're like, oh, Jamie's, like, doing so well. Congratulations. They were coming up to us congratulating us about you. And we're like, oh, thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much, everybody. It was like a parent-teacher thing. We raised her well. Yeah. It was all us, actually. Oh, my God. That's so funny. Yeah, everyone was really supportive. Everyone came to me and they were like, your friends are so funny. Like, your friends are just, like, hilarious. It was like, everyone just, like, loved talking to you guys. And then I think there was one day you guys couldn't make it. And everyone was so sad. They felt your absence. That's for sure, yeah. That's awesome. You're so sweet. Everyone was really sweet, though. We had a good time together. It was wholesome. After Africa, we went to hang out. Your hotel. Yes. I could barely get time with them because I would have interviews and then I had to, like, go all the way back. I remember texting you guys. I was like, maybe you guys can come to the hotel and then we'll, like, get dinner or something. Or, like, order in and stuff. So, that was nice. I got to chill for, like, 45 minutes before I had to go. I feel like Team Asia and Team Africa got really close. Team Asia and Team Africa did get really close. There's, like, similarities there, I think, in the family realm. That's what it felt like. Do you guys remember the conversations that night? There were some deep conversations. There were some deep conversations because we were saying, like, goodbye to some people. Yeah. People got eliminated. Yeah. That was hard. But, also, my brain was like, oh, shit. I'm in this competition now. Like, what am I going to cook next? Like, I was like, my gears were going. I was like, I think, guys, it's time to, like, you guys have to go now. I have to go compete. You're like, I didn't plan this far ahead. Yeah. That was really emotional because it's such an intense experience, like, when you're in it and it's, like, your whole life and your whole world just changes and you really feel, like, everyone's emotions and what they're here for and, like, people want it so bad. We'll share some photos to jog your memory. Oh. Oh, that's so cute. Oh, my God. That's so cute. That was the night after you passed out your apron. The dim sum. The dim sum's so much better. Oh, my gosh. The dim sum is really good there. So far. This photo's after Aria roasted and toasted him with her joke. Oh, my God. With a bell. Wait, we need to talk about that. We need to talk about this. So, basically, like, I was on the side talking to other people and one of the contestants, his name's Bell. He looks at me, he's like, Chloe, do you want to know what your friend is like? And I was like, what do you mean? He's like, I went up to Aria and I was like, do you want to hear a joke? And then Aria turns to me, deadpan, looks me in the eye and says, you mean your run on MasterChef? And he's one of the ones that got eliminated. It was dead silent. Dead silent in the room for, like, two seconds. Hey, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen. And then they burst into laughter. Everyone burst into laughter and it was shocking but also hilarious. Listen. Explain your joke, Aria. Okay, okay. So, I like gambling. You can't start it like that, Aria. I have to preface it. Why were we starting there? Because when he came up to me, he was so excited, you know, to tell me this joke in my head. I'm thinking, okay, this guy's a little jokester. I look him dead in the eye and I'm, like, thinking, I have two seconds to think about this. Do you think he can handle this joke? And I just went for it. Like, it was like, he either hates me, we never see each other again, or I land a really funny joke. And everyone's laughing. I think it helps. He remembers you for the rest of his life. Yeah. He will, but I feel like it helps, like, making the moment something lighter. Yeah, yeah. Because that's how I cope with humor, for sure. His air on TV was still really good because he represented, like, Ethiopian food. So, it's still, like, really connected with people and it was good. I don't think we can talk about the joke he said. No, and he wanted to, he was so excited to tell me just because he heard it from a Vietnamese guy. So, I'm like, all right, you got a joke. Let me joke. You have to be fair. That joke came first before the funny joke. Yeah. That's what I was saying. I'm like, okay, you got jokes. Let me try. And then someone showed you a magic trick. Oh, yeah, yeah. But I already seen that one. Oh, so you weren't impressed? No. It's hard to impress Arya. No, I'm just, like, too observant or I'll be like, I immediately am, like, looking at how they are doing it rather than enjoying it. You're an S, right? So, that's what S is, too. Ninety-eight percent, bruh. Ninety-eight percent. Last day we were in town, we were all so tired. We slept until 2 p.m. Oh, my God. Except for Arya. She woke up at 7 a.m. again. What were you doing? When I was a kid, whenever I knew there was a field trip, I would get so excited. And I would, like, lay out my outfit on the bed. I'm like, this is what I'm going to wear going to, like, the art museum. And I'm so excited. And I wouldn't be able to sleep. It's, like, then you're excited. And I was, like, yeah, I just loved it. I loved the experience. Are you like that on normal trips, too? Depends. Sometimes I do. I do, like, relax and I want to sleep in, like, for a day or two of the week. But, yeah, I'm usually really, like, let's go, guys. Let's go. She's, like, because she's introverted, but, like, she's an adventurer. Yeah. She's an adventurer. Yeah. So she's good to travel with. Because when I thought about the group, too, I was like, okay. I think Chloe will get them there on time. Well, I would get them there. Yeah, yeah. I don't know where we're going. She would, like, be able to call, like, the car and know the address and, like, be in contact with the organizers. And then I knew that Arya, like, would be good for, like, food. She was great. She was so great. To wake up to her food, I was like, I love this woman. Oh, my God. I love this woman. You didn't wake up until I was like, hey, Chloe, we got French fries. Yeah, so funny. And then, like, for Kimmy, I was like, okay, Kimmy will be perfect for, like, comedic relief just in case we need anything. Like, she's good for the vibes. Like, she's a vibe balancer. How is the personality higher? Because I was like, hey, if the worst thing happens, like, if something bad happens and, like, you're really stressful or whatever, like. We have the personality higher. Yeah. Like, the food person. No, you're like a mediator. Yeah, I was the mediator. Kimmy was also ultra addicted on TFT. You, oh, yeah. Hearthstone. No, it was TFT. I showed you a new comp. And you're like, I was playing it all night. Wow. I was playing it. You know, the thing is, we always say, oh, we were so tired. We were so tired. And it's because this is the first time we ever hung out together, us three. Us three. So we were talking, yapping all night long. So much. We couldn't go to sleep. And then we're like, guys, we have to wake up in three hours again. I was like, oh, no. Oh, my God. But we had so much fun getting to know each other, too, though. Yeah. That was really happy for me to witness, yeah. On the last day, we went to Chanel. Oh, my God. You guys did? Yes. Aria spent some damn. I did. I did. No, not for that. The USD to Canadian conversion was a thing. And we hung out. We played in the snow for a little bit. We were making TikToks in a blizzard for, like, three hours straight. It was great. Aria was great. We were, like, dancing in the snow and did a baby freeze. Had no gloves on. You were, like, using a scarf or something. And then we had hot pot. Oh, wait, wait, wait. Our cute pictures. I forgot. Oh, you're cute. Our pictures on the day that we didn't see Jamie. Wait, I still have to post that TikTok. Oh, yeah. And then I showed you guys Chao Time, the boba place. Maybe. Oh, wait. That's so cute. The hot pot. Oh, wait. This is so cute. Wait, this is such a cute photo of Kimmy in front of the Chanel. Mm-hmm. And that's Aria, too. Oh, my gosh. Slay. I miss it. I love the snow. This is making me miss the holidays. Yeah. It's my favorite season. Is it? Yeah, winter. Snow time. I love it. So cute. Oh, my God. That's so cute. Aria and I opened, like, a blind box at a boba place. So cute. So cute. I can't believe, like, wow, it's so cute. And then I forgot to bring this up, but we got really close to Shirley. Oh, yes. Daniel's mom. Daniel's mother. We all follow Daniel's mom. We follow her, yeah. Yeah, we follow Daniel's mama. Daniel's mom's cool. Yeah. Yes. Yeah, his mom is cool. She's a girl boss. Girl boss. She is. I got her a life story. It was amazing. I was like, I don't want a son. How did you do it? And she's like, I didn't want a son either. And lo and behold, she has Daniel and the other son. And then she told me everything about, yeah. But then we became really close. And then to the other mom's friends that I have, I'm closer to my sons than they are to their daughters. And they go shopping together. And I was like, that's kind of cute. But then it's because Daniel's a Libra. Ah, he's so Libra. Yeah. So we'll see. We'll see. We'll see what happens. Yes. So we got home. We got super delayed, like our flight. But we got home. Oh, yeah. And then we supported you from LA. Yes. Yeah. And then Jamie had to go through it. I went through war after that. And you got out. I did. I did. It was crazy. Like, I was like, bye, guys. I know. Honestly, I just remember being happy that Jamie had even like an inkling of support system in the beginning. It made a huge difference. Because you could have just experienced all this alone. And then like you just come back and your life is changed. And everyone else doesn't know what happened. Yeah. I was really glad that you guys like experienced a part of what I did. Because it's just like you can't describe it. It's crazy. It's crazy to talk about it. It's so hard. You can't talk about it. You can't describe like what exactly how it is unless you've like done TV before. It's intense. But it's made me like really appreciate TV. Because I'm like there's so much work that goes behind it. As creators, how did it feel being on someone else's production where you don't have control? It felt like. You don't know that sound? What is that? Was that the Squid Game sound? No. It's similar to that though. No. It's like the army. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's time. I think that's how production feels too. It felt like that. They're like the show must go on. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. The whole time. We couldn't be late. There's all these rules to abide to. We will get yelled at. It was like single file line. Yeah. I was very organized. I will say like content creators are spoiled in a sense where like. It's not even just content creators, but a lot of people in media, Like, they'll show up late to things. We make our own time. Make our own time. When I worked with other, like, creators and stuff like that, they're really flexible. But, like, in this situation, you cannot be because there's so much production going on. Like, there's a lot of money behind it. There's people scheduled. There's a time they have to reach. So, you cannot be late. I kind of, like, did enjoy that. Everyone was very professional. Well, it was across some time. And it was hard to put makeup on every day. My makeup was cracking for sure. I was like, yeah. The spark in my eyes disappeared over time. No, literally, like, as the show goes on, I just wear less and less makeup. I'm like, this is real. Yeah. I remember you love your left side. I love my left side. But the cameras were always on your right side. The whole show is on my right side, guys. That physically destroyed me. But, like, that's how much I love cooking. Okay, actually, I think Australia MasterChef is on the left side. Oh, damn. Girl, you should have been Australian. I was like, dang it, should I fly to Australia? But I really wanted the MasterChef, like, Gordon Ramsay. And, like, you know, that's, like, the best. I'm the one that, like, twitched and, like, everyone is like, oh, my God, that's the MasterChef. And it's, like, I'm American, so. I was like, you know what? It's time to get myself out of my comfort zone. I didn't realize how my voice would come out on TV. I don't know why it was so high on TV. Because I feel like when I stream, it's not that high. Girl, you were, like, in fight or flight. Yeah, I think I was in fight or flight. Like, I'm surprised you didn't just completely black out. Like, people don't understand. It's like you're under a time crunch. Yeah, that's crazy. You're in an unfamiliar place with, like, 10,000 cameras. And there's somebody who's asking you questions throughout your entire cook while you're waiting for Gordon Ramsay and everyone to come talk to you. Yeah, that was crazy to me. It is so overstimulating. I don't know how you just walked in, though. Like, you're a natural. No, oh, my gosh. But thank you. It made me want to do it again just because I feel like I would be able to do things so much better. But I did learn from it that content creation shouldn't be about being perfect. Because they were able to produce so much off of cutting off people. People's need for perfection. Like, it's just like you just got to go. And then I realized, like, how much I could do every single day. Because you're just being pushed to your limit. Of course, like, I wouldn't apply that every single day to my life. But it made me realize how capable the human body is. And also just, like, chasing perfection as a content creator is just not sustainable. And, like, it made me see more beauty in the imperfections and the essence or story of things more. Like, it just matters much more than, like, my left side or my right side. The angle of something. Yeah, always. Like, if you watch TV and you watch people for a longer time, like, you grow more familiar with them. And, like, you start to like them more. My God, you're cooking. Yeah. And so, like, even on, like, a love island, like, in the beginning, everyone's jealous. Us with our villa girls. Yeah, like, true to me. Over time, like, you really, really like them. And even if they're, like, wearing less makeup or they just, like, go out in pajamas, like, you just feel so endearing for them. Because you understand, like, who they are as a person. So, the whole thing taught me how valuable it is to just be who you are. Like, as cheesy as it sounds. And content creators, just, like, sometimes we skip that part. We just want to do something that's, like, really perfect or, like, apply perfection. Are you two perfectionist creators? Yeah. I think we're perfectionists about, like, different things. That's true. It's almost impossible to be a perfectionist as a streamer because it's just live. We definitely, like, exert in different ways. But I'd say we're all, like, pretty perfectionistic about our own things. Is it hard to, like, see yourself on TV and. Oh, yeah. Yeah. It was hard. It was hard. I regret my outfit choice so badly. We talked about playing in the snow, right, guys? Yes. I thought, because I read it word for word, that it was supposed to show that it was taken, like, summertime, sunny time. Sunny time, yeah. Or just, in general, sunny weather. Yeah. And I took it literally. So, I wore a short dress. Really thin dress. Yeah, really thin dress. And I was so cold. Girl, it was blizzarding. It was blizzarding outside. It was blizzarding. It was a snowstorm, right? And the worst part was that we needed to get from one building to another building by bus. That's, like, a minute to walk it. Yeah, it was, like, a minute walk. But we had to use the bus because it was that stormy. I was in a small dress in that. And I was the only one. And everyone's like, girl, aren't you cold? And I'm like, this was my outfit choice continuity. I can't change now. It's cooked. You can't change your outfit. I literally could not have changed it. Like, it sucked. But I was shivering. And I'm like, this bus is for me. You look so cold. You look so good, though. I thought your skirt was cute. Yeah. I thought it really gave us the girl group a stack. Because they both wore pants. You know? I did. I wore pants. I wish I wore pants. I've heard her say this, like, 30 times. Like, I wish I wore pants. I wish I wore pants. It was cold in there. Yeah, it's cold. Actually, yeah. So it got to a point where they told me that I could bring pants and then strip, like, once I'm there. And at first, I used to, like, go into the bathroom and, you know, do it properly. But by the time I got there, I was like, oh, my God. The last filming, I was just so tired. I'm like, frick it. And I just, like, I literally just stripped there. Like, it was like a gym session. We all got really close. Yeah. And the family, they were chill with it. Like, nobody thought it was weird. They're like, do what you gotta do, girl. Like, they knew. They knew my situation. How was it, like, being on someone else's set? I kind of liked it because I didn't have to set everything up. Yo, yes. Like, yes. Be talent. Be talent. Kind of like this. The best part about Masterpiece, Masterchef was the fact that I didn't have to clean after I cooked. Oh, my heaven. It was to the point where production was like, hey, Jamie, like, I want to keep your station cleaner. You want to, like, keep your station cleaner? You're like, I'm not cleaning this up. I'm like, um, okay, I'll try my best. No, but, like, I think for people watching content, and I still think this, too. We don't really think about all the effort behind what we're watching. Yeah. All the cleanup, all the lighting, set up, camera. It's a lot of moving pieces. Surprisingly, behind a piece of content. And I think people don't understand how much it is until they try to make content themselves. And then they're like, wait, there's a lot that goes on behind this. But for being on TV, I liked how all I had to do was kind of show up. That was great. It was nice, yeah. I do like having a bit more control over things. But for the most part, I wasn't the main focus. So I was just happy to be there for the most part. What do you think is one thing that television does better than creators? And what do you think is one thing creators do better than television? I think we know. I think we know. We know how to put on a good show. Like humor, things that are like trendy and very relevant. Or like quicker to act. Yeah, we'll always be kind of the best at that because like that's the market we're in. Yeah. So of course, like TV, there can be things that are more outdated. But that's also the essence of like TV. I feel like with television, they have like a prestige and legacy to like go off of. So you know the quality and what to expect. And then because you know it, it's reassuring and it's reputable. And so you're going to want to keep on watching. Meanwhile, with creators, it can be inconsistent. And then people will just lose trust or lose interest or grow out of it. TV does credibility really well. Yeah, great legacy. I mean, TV definitely does scheduling better. Oh, yeah. Everyone's very professional. It's not even comparable. Other than Khloe. Khloe's a good scheduler. Yeah. I won't say it. But Khloe's like a rarity in the creator space. Like Khloe could do TV too. You know what I mean? Yeah, I'm interested. I'm interested. Yes. She's a good host. I feel like she likes call sheets. I hate getting my call sheets. Oh, I don't know. I do like call sheets. She would make the call sheets. I would look at someone else's call sheet and be like, what kind of call sheet is this? Who wrote this call sheet? Don't you have one job to do? I can't just do your job right. How can we include these details? How are we supposed to know? I am that person. But I think that, I remember when we were there, and we were like, dude, we could create so much content from all of this. Like, there's so much more we could have created. There was so much opportunity. So much behind-the-scenes content. Yeah. I thought that was like hilarious. But I guess TV wants to be TV. TV wants to be TV, yeah. But if they let content creators like film it, like I think people would love it. Yeah. Or more so take opinions, ideas. Yeah. Yeah. They're very safe. There's a 16x16 camera, remember? They have a monitor with like 16 cameras. A lot of cameras. And we were hyper-fixated and we're like, I think we could watch this just like this. Yes, like 16 perspectives. Yeah. Like an uncut 16 perspective, every single camera. Yeah, it's so cool. That was so fun. It's so cool. Yeah. It was really fun to watch that. It was everyone's first time debuting on television. Would you want to go back? I would go back. To MasterChef or something else? I don't know. We'll see. We'll see. But I've said no to opportunities in the past. On TV? Mm-hmm. Why? Well, I was really self-conscious of performing on camera. Not necessarily how I look, but like my perfectionism, I can't. If I put out a bad product, I would never forgive myself. Yeah. Yeah. So I was hard on myself. And then I knew for a fact, too, I have stage fright, especially with like talking. So I knew that, oh, if I'm like cooking or baking or whatever I need to do, I might not be able to perform if I know like people are watching, people are filming and recording. Yeah. Not in my control, too. Yeah. So I was like, yeah, I don't think I can. So I said no to like two opportunities. Yeah. But now that I'm over 30, I'm like, I've chilled out a lot. Yeah. Yeah. So I'm like, you know what? Maybe I can. She can do it. She's so confident. And thanks to you, too. Like you showing me like, oh, my God, like if Jamie can do it, maybe I can do it. But like, yeah, so it inspired me through. The fact that you said yes to me, to going on TV. For me. Oh, 100%. And the note for yourself. Like, yeah. Yeah. I'm really glad you guys came with me. What kind of TV would you want to do? Okay. So when I was going through it, I was like, it's not even that I don't want to do it again. But I was like, I don't think I can do this again because it's so much work. It is a lot of work. Like, it's a lot of long hours. And like, okay, before MasterChef, I was low-key like hella princess. Were you really? I had like nine hours of sleep. Like, you know how I am. Like, I like things the way I want to do them. So this was like so out of my comfort zone. Like I don't have any. control over anything and i have to wake up at 5 a.m jamie is another a different person now yeah leading up to master chef jamie put in so much work though because the application process was a lot and then also what you had to prepare for master chef was a lot and on top of that you were keeping up with your normal content and life yeah you were also hanging out up until the night before you left for master chef like just like hang out with us to memorize recipes you had to put outfits together you had to make recipes you had to test them it was you had to do so much work that i'm just surprised you remember anything i would have blacked out about you she keeps saying that i would have blacked out i know because i was like blacking out for her she was so busy she was so no but like let's say you there's a competition for you to make candles i feel like you would you do it oh i would i would yeah i would i would beat those losers give me my wax yeah yeah no but not that blend that one now that it's over like i would a hundred percent do it again does it make you feel more empathetic towards people on tv yes all the people we scrutinize on singles inferno love island all of them i literally feel for them like i'm like you dissociate so hard when you get on tv yeah you do you do or you're not like fully yourself and then you mess up make mistakes say something you don't need to say or also under all that pressure too and then you have no control over what the narrative is in the final cut no sleep that's another thing you didn't know the narrative that they would give you not know like i didn't know until it came out you did great i mean you filmed very well a great first episode edit so thank you master chef i really appreciate you performed well oh thank you thanks to you guys what did we all learn about each other throughout this process i mean mine to aria was that she's cracked at cooking and i did not realize like the levels i did not know there were levels i mean i guess i objectively knew that but i never saw it until i met miss aria for you i was so fascinated how you were able to you didn't make content for like that long right like no no no yeah and it but it felt like you were so knowledgeable and an expert at your field and you were able to make content for like that long right no no no then you also had crazy network of capabilities too like you knew everyone when i looked at your profile i'm like oh my god so i just felt like yeah you you kaboomed and i'm like this is great yeah that's how it felt so it was really nice like talking and like listening to you and like yeah i feel like i can learn a lot from you i want an abundance of knowledge yeah and she just she just wants to share help and share you're a good listener too yeah that was a good time i was life stories and everything it was fun you learn from all of you actually i think i got to know aria like the most that week because we were catching up because we had we didn't know each other aria's entire lore streaming has such like a negative reputation and there's so much drama in this space and everyone has been i don't know canceled to some extent yeah and so hearing aria story of when she was going through everything firsthand like really made me feel holy shit people are horrible towards like women in gaming and streaming and i i just wish i were there like i was so angry that you guys are treated like that because you guys are such strong beautiful um talented women who support each other and are true girls girls and but then people would say you're not because like of how you get perceived online and i'm like what what the fuck like this that pissed me off so much and it made me want to be a better creator so that i can uplift you guys and then to retell your narratives online and if i were your talent managers you know i think i would play a really good support role in general so maybe that's why i'm here in my future career when i get older but yeah i just hate it when people's narratives get rewritten and erased and all they can do is say nothing yeah yeah and i think that's the reality of being a woman in the space on tv on media on content you just say nothing because that's the best path of survival forward i heard the shits that went down and then and then like i think girls love dogging on each other too like if they don't know you and you're hot and you're beautiful they love to say mean things and then things just get twisted out of everything and i i'm someone who like those rooms and i want to hear what people are saying and i think that maybe i don't know you're more introverted and then you haven't gone out as much so when i hear things i'm just like why why are these why is this gossip happening i'm so confused also why the fuck are you like gossiping about someone else like what kind of low life are you yeah so i get really curious what actually happened and every time i meet someone and hear their story it pains me a lot but i think you guys are just so much more resilient and stronger than therapy i know therapy therapy you heard enough yeah yeah stop caring about what become wiser for it level one is you let go and you heal but level two is the public narrative that people have of you that affect your future opportunities and sometimes the voices that come on that that keep coming back to you that random comment that random article that random perception the quiet perception and you think that matters and it impacts you in a different way in my head i'm like how do i write that wrong i'm just like i don't know how to do it i don't know how to do it i don't know how to do it i'm very justice where you did you are yeah i'm very like but we need that yeah so i think about it a lot like what is my place in this space and how how in my limited years so they feel like i joined content so late in the game and i'm like i feel there's so much more we can do here but it's so stressful to be alone in it all and i think seeing all of you do everything solo like these people don't have teams like maybe there's an assistant every once in a while to help out but it's like that afternoon it's not like a daily thing and the fact that you guys are such solopreneurs everything that you've ever done in the decade of work that you have i'm like dude that's really hard yeah we love you chloe you're already in the space oh you guys have a lot of history but i think because you join later your eyes are a bit more fresh and bright so that's also something we can learn from it is a privilege for me to be in your spaces too because i know in your caliber you don't have to open that door and you guys did so it's really nice yeah goes both ways yeah i think your long way especially for a woman we need it you know it's like so easy for us to feel like hopeless or like defeated after we go through things we need chloe to be like no girls rise up yeah girls time to rise i mean maybe not before 12 p.m for me but after 12 p.m i'm rising french fries yeah french fries wake me up with french fries i think another thing is you guys present so positively and so like i don't give a foot online yeah but you've guys gone through the darkest of times like shit that you have to deal with the the bullying the cyber bullying the business people doing you dirty like people i'm breaking their trust with you the stalkers oh shit yeah so i was like these are warriors for sure and then that narrative doesn't get written no one talks about how strong you guys are no one no one talks about the nights where we're laying in bed wondering if it's all worth it yeah so that was what i learned like wow these people are resilient as fuck meanwhile i'm like organize my life it's it's optional it's optional i think organization it only helps if you want it to i think it would help all of us but it's just really it doesn't come naturally for everyone you know i think the structure and creating structure comes very naturally to you and that's what makes me and i'm sure all of us like very like we admire that thank you thank you yeah your notions are crazy i don't even know how to use notion oh yeah my first impression you were like you needed to make your goals board deck so okay what is it called colors okay i did my vision board yes for the year or something yeah yeah and i was like you do what now and then it was like you made it all cute with all these like goals and pictures and i'm like wait what you're insane this is a new year time so i was like making my vision board inspirations and aspirations like what because i would never think to do something like that that's so interesting i've done it like all my adulthood i never think about the future what only so present like only today i don't even know what i'm eating tomorrow wow i'm so future oriented i do not care about the past i'm like kind of here in the present but i'm so future you have a you kimmy i think i'm a pretty good mix of both i'm a libra okay i try to live my life in balance so i try to stay present i also try to plan for the future i'd say i'm leaning more in the present these days though if anything i want to keep getting better at planning for the future i can help you can definitely help all right pencil me in for tuesday yeah i'm free yippee no but seriously okay it comes naturally i'll come too i have some things i want you to review okay so crazy it just comes naturally like you love it you love planning without it actually yeah so i like to see it i can't remember my head when i look at you it's like what's behind your eyes it's like a web in there it's like a web an organized web a very organized web whenever i look behind jamie's eyes it's like a chaos web but it works for her and yeah it's gotta work for you guys for sure what's something about masterchef that inspired you to do something different in your own lives i think i learned from masterchef to just do it all right just do it just do it do it just do it like don't think about it are you i think it just taught me that you never know what's going on behind the cameras like fully that's true and now i'm applying that to real life that's a very end thought yeah no like therapy is making me more it's like i'm open to the idea now more therapy made me more ass well you're supposed to balance because you're too skewed one way like it's good it messes you up to me I think going on MasterChef encouraged me to keep stepping out of my comfort zone in small ways. Even though I wasn't like a main focus on MasterChef, just saying yes for the sake of actually just going for Jamie. I didn't even think about being on TV as much as just going for Jamie when I said yes. It was a little bit out of my comfort zone, but I'm learning that like so many good things come out of stepping out of your comfort zone, even if it's like a low-key bad lesson, not seeing MasterChef was at all. But in this case, luckily, you know, we got a lot closer. We have a lot of fun stories to tell. Jamie did really well. We're on this podcast now. We can make more content and talk about it. It's like something fun that we can all look back on now. Just saying yes to more things. Yeah. Kimmy shared a sentiment with me during filming and she was like, wow, you discovered this world in cooking. Like there's so much more and it's such a bigger like realm and stuff. And then I think she was saying it was like inspiring to her how there could be bigger worlds for like what she did. The world just opened up. Yeah. Like it was really, I was like, oh, it's not just like streaming and it's not just content. Like this is crazy. And also connect so many people together, which I love. I'm inspired to do a lot of things. I'm constantly inspired by everything. I remember Chloe being like, oh yeah, I'm ready to grind. Yeah. I'm ready. I'm ready to go after this. I actually wrote down in my 2026 strategy doc of what would be the moonshot goals. I always have, you know, the realistic goals and whatnot. And then here are moonshots. And it was like, why did I like MasterChef so much? It was because it was like this cohort based narrative of a class that is countable on your hands and you can follow along in their journey and their story. And they all get so close. Y'all get so close to the cohort. We got really close. Yeah. So I was like, oh, what is the equivalent for me? Shark Tank is probably pretty close, but then it's not a cohort based show. It's a marketplace show. You pitch and you leave. So it's like America's Got Talent. Like it's not, you don't really meet your castmates. So like, well, what about it was so fun. And you always get to remember you were on the 16th season of MasterChef and that class never changes for the rest of eternity. That's a great way to look at it. I know. So that's really cool. But I couldn't find an equivalent for me. So after a lot of soul searching after the production, I was like, I think for me in my space, I think the unfortunate reality is that I would have to produce it myself. Yeah. If anything, if it were something within the realm of what I want to do, because I'm also not single because I can't go on those single shows. Yeah. And I don't like drama, like Big Brother or something. Like I don't like. Yeah. I can do keeping up with the Mormon wives of shows, the secret lives of Mormon wives. Yeah. I do think like, that's what I really appreciated about MasterChef. Like they're literally putting on a show and it's hard. Like it's, it's a lot of work, but they're doing so much for the cast when you think about it and like telling our stories. And I was so grateful that someone else was like doing the work and telling my story for me. Like I didn't have to like pick up a script and put a camera on a tripod and be like, Hey guys, like this is my story. Yeah, I thought about that too. I was like, dang, like, when am I going to have this experience like ever again? And like, it felt like summer camp and we just don't have those experiences like as an adult. Yeah. Yeah. So hopefully we'll, I'll figure out what to produce, but maybe it's not a reality TV show. Maybe it's a micro drama. Yeah. Of my own writing and scripting. You still get that cohort vibe. Like if you act with acting show, like the cast gets really close together. Yeah. I like the process. I'm just really grateful you guys came with me. Yeah. Honestly, it was like the highlight of my year. Even you guys being there for me. It was like the highlight of my year. Probably the highlight of my decade. Like I feel bad for my future husband. Cause I don't think it'll top it. We don't know that. We don't know that. Yeah. I'm so like career oriented that like it was such a cool moment. My friends of 10 years, like seeing me do something crazy that like we could have never imagined like 10 years ago. I would have never thought we were just, we just started by playing Minecraft together. I would like hit her down caves and she would fall down the cave and she would be like so scared. I'd be like, Oh my God, do you see what happened? Like, I can't believe that creeper just like hit you down. You hit down a MasterChef. MasterChef down. No, but it's so cool seeing how far you've come from there though. Yeah. From being trolled in Minecraft. It's just like crazy how much four girls can do. In a week. Like just in life together. Like we've all done so much and it's like crazy. Like we're very nimble and like fragile. We did a lot. Until you hit 30 and then everything just starts hurting. But besides that. Well, thank you so much for coming on to all this drama, sharing your experiences. I hope this was kind of unique to get a peek behind the curtains on what it's like doing a career in media and everything. And hopefully this is just a starting point of our careers moving forward. Maybe that'll become, I don't know, Aria's own cooking show. Maybe Jamie's travels. cooking show and maybe kimmy will finally be on a show to compete to build the world's best candles yes a craft we need a crafts reality show yeah we do need it and then like for drama they can like get rid of the glue and hide it somewhere you might need to improvise you might need a producer so stay tuned on everyone's careers support everyone right now i will have their social media link down below thank you for watching and we'll see you next time bye shout out to our drama llamas on patreon so jamie actually did my first ever tarot card reading with me apparently i pulled a lot of swords which means i am super stressed out i gotta let something go i got a lot of wands too so that's a good sign i believe i've just been really anxious about where my life has been going or is going given the pregnancy and my ambitions you know just like there's a lot of anxiety going on so that mini episode will be on our patreon if you want to check it out i also crashed out on patreon for a little bit of time so if you want to check it out you can go to patreon.com and check it out and i'll see you in the next one bye a little bit so if you know you know your girl has been going through it but we're getting through it right yes anyways i'm so happy that we got aria kimmy and jamie in this space together as a woman in content i think it is sometimes really lonely where you just feel like you have to do everything yourself and so when we were able to support jamie at masterchef and when jamie was actually able to ask for help i think it meant a lot to all of us just to be there for each other and this career sincerely is not a zero-sum game there is inherent joy in being able to see someone love thriving seeing jamie shine only brings me good energy it brings all of us good energy and so i don't know where you are in your own career i just feel like right now is a very strange time where i feel like everyone is just trying to build their own thing invest in their own career it's just so individualistic but the reality is you can't do it alone that lesson is prevalent through history through leadership through all the case studies through every conversation i've ever had with any successful person that this this whole thing chasing your dreams building anything it takes a village no matter how people look like they're doing on the outside inside i think we're all just really scared we're all anxious and we're not sure if we're going to make it and we're scared of asking for help and support especially if you are a child of an immigrant family and so don't forget show up for your friends show up for the people you love and if you're on your big journey don't forget to ask for help i think people are more than happy to help you than you realize from my own career standpoint i am fascinated by traditional tv i learned so much behind the scenes that made me want to level up my own storytelling and production game who knows maybe i'll come out with something spectacular these years actually i do have a crazy idea that i've been cooking up but you know i feel like i tell you guys these things and it takes me about six months to a year to actually show you something good things take time okay we want to create something iconic and legendary they just take time it's not something overnight so be patient don't forget that master chef is now airing on fox after their hiatus during the world cup i hope you in the next episode of Office Drama. Thank you.
