Well, most people just repeat what everyone else is saying in their videos, so when a viewer watches you, they've already heard those ideas three times before. What that means is, if you're not saying anything new, they'll find your video boring and click away. That's why the best creators obsess over finding new angles on familiar topics. This hooks viewers as new, as addictive, and keeps them coming back. Thing is, how do you make your content feel new, fresh, and original when it's been said a thousand times before? We'll try this little four-step system. Step one, start with the topic, so just pick the simple idea everyone's already talking about. For example, why your YouTube channel isn't growing. Step two, you want to find the tension, so find the tension means identifying the gap between what your audience believes and what's actually true. This matters because the gap is where curiosity lives, and curiosity is what makes people pay attention. So you would ask something like what's frustrating or confusing about my topic. So in this example, we might say people think they're doing the right thing on YouTube posting three times a week, but they still can't grow. Then in step three, we flip it. So flipping the tension means taking that common belief and turning it upside down to reveal an unexpected truth. This twist is what makes your ideal feel fresh and original. So you ask, what's the unexpected truth here? So an example might be the issue isn't how often they post, it's what they post. So the new angle becomes uploading more videos is why your channel is stuck. And then in step four, you just check the angle. So before you lock this thing in, ask yourself three questions. One is it true because you don't want to just do this to sound clever and you still feel real. Two, does it make people feel something? Does it spark curiosity or surprise or emotion? Saying posting every week is killing your channel makes people stop and think, so that's good. And then three does it actually sound like you and would you actually say it out loud? If yes, it's probably authentic. If it passes those checks, then it's a strong angle. So now you know, don't just repeat what everyone else is saying.
