137: WE ARE SO BACK

Rusty returns to his podcast with a vibrant, energetic update, announcing sweeping changes to the show’s format and content. He shares a humorous yet heartfelt medical anecdote about a nasal "booger" that has crystallized into part of his skeletal structure, joking about mailing it for analysis. He also presents a detailed survival strategy for being encased in gelatin, emphasizing the importance of air pockets. A central theme is his whimsical exploration of Minion skin texture, which he compares to a beluga whale’s, blending science with playful imagination. He recounts an unforgettable visit to the *House of the Dragon* set, praising its authenticity and production quality, and shares a moment of public misjudgment during filming that sparks fan laughter. This episode also reflects on personal growth, particularly in his evolving attitude toward aging—now embracing it as a positive, enriching journey. Rusty highlights his recent cinematic and literary discoveries, including *The Odyssey*, *The Lighthouse*, and *Practical Magic*, and discusses his deep dive into Victorian novels like *Women in White* and *Jane Eyre*. He also shares personal habits, such as writing in cursive, playing jazz music, and enjoying squishies and pumpkin-spice candles, as whimsical lifestyle choices that bring joy. The episode blends humor, personal storytelling, and cultural commentary, celebrating both entertainment and self-discovery in a dynamic, relatable way.

Can you see a lot? I found the best solution I've ever bought. It's the best you've ever bought. But I've bought it all. Press the "C" and. *Rusty* I'm back! *Rusty* *Rusty* *Rusty* *Rusty* Guys! Oh my god, I'm back! Oh my god, did you miss me? Guys! It has been so long, but at the same time, not that long at all. I took my break in May, and it is now this is Halloween. Everybody break our scene. *Rusty* *Rusty* *Rusty* You know? Okay. So much has changed. We got new intro. We've got new photo shoot. We've got new. We've got new sound effect board. *Rusty* *Rusty* *Rusty* *Rusty* *Rusty* *Rusty* We've got a new sound effect board. Okay. So much. I feel like it was just time for revamps. All the stuff was old. The format was tired. I was like, what do I not like about doing this? And so we've changed it up. We switched up a little bit. And there's a huge plane flying overhead. Hope you all don't mind. Hope you all don't mind about that. So much to talk about. We've got new intro. I have so much that has happened. Things are happening all of the time. And before we get into that, there is something I really need to touch on. And that is, there is. It's a medical update. And it's a medical update. And it's nothing to be alarmed about. Just something that, you know, I am living with chronically. And that is, for the last week and a half, there has been a booger in the forward frontal lobe of my nasal cavity that I do believe, first of its kind, has crystallized into a kind of bone material. It is now a part of my skeletal makeup. And I am really happy to unveil that here today to the medical community watching, because I know you guys are out there. This booger has become a part of me. And I pick it every morning. I pick it. And without fail, it takes out a little bit, it takes out a nose hair and a little bit of my brain. And I pick it. And then I, of course, inspect it. Do you guys miss me? I inspect it. And there is. There are bone fragments in it. So if anyone could, you know, you know how when you have to do a poop sample, like a stool sample, you like shitting a bucket and you have to mail it off somewhere? Or you have to like, drop it off at your doctor's office. I'm hoping to do that via mail for my bone booger, because it hurts so damn bad and it keeps coming back. If anyone could help me there, that's just something I need to get out of the way. So much to discuss. There is a lot of media, a lot of occurrences, a lot of happenings, a lot of side quests that I've really been doing. And my voice is horse, if you can tell. Because yesterday I did go to Disney and I was off, you know, a five milligram edible. And I wrote Tower of Terror and it scared me so bad that I screamed my voice to silence. Like I was fully mute last night. So this is what we've come back with. And I just, you know, want to manage expectations there. So let's go ahead and talk about, let's get into it. Okay. We've got a lot of new segments, a lot of new fun stuff, a lot of new things. I think you guys are really going to like really going to like. Okay. So let's get into it. And before we do that, there's just a thought that I had earlier that I would like to share with everyone unrelated to absolutely anything. The threat of quicksand, as we all know it, as a child, never really came to fruition, the threat of the Bermuda Triangle, I've never had to treat as a real issue in my life, the way that I thought I was going to have to. But this is a thought that I had the other day that I do have a game plan here because when it comes to Bermuda Triangle, and yeah, I'm tucking my jacket under my boobs because it's sweaty. It's sweaty in here. Okay. And what they're not saying is that it's been a boob sweat summer. It's been a boob sweat, crack sweat summer, and crack sweat is something that every person on planet Earth is intimately familiar with, but it's just your comfortability of letting people know that you're a crack sweater. Okay. And I'm a crack sweater. All every crack, every crevice, I'm sweating there. So just get out of the way. Anyway, back to the quicksand. A threat that I, again, probably won't ever come to fruition, but this time I'm ready. I have a battle plan. If I were ever to be encased in gelatin, if I ever were to become encased in gelatin, I know what to do because what a lot of people don't know about gelatin, you have to create and say with me, air pocket. Create an air pocket when you're in gelatin. If I was in gelatin, I would just do this. I would just shove it with like the bottom of my palms, and I would create an air pocket around my mouth, and I would, I would cup it like this. And I would create a little bubble that I could breathe because there is air in there. I don't think I don't believe gelatin is airtight. And we can look that up. Because gelatin airtight, gelatin is not inherently airtight on its own, but dry powder gelatin needs to be stored in an airtight container to protect it from moisture and odors. Okay, I'm getting it. So yes, it's not airtight. So if I'm encased in it, okay, and I'm just, I could find the strength, I could three, two, one, muster the strength to pull my arms through and depending on how viscous the gelatin is, pull my arms towards my torso, shove forward, create, and you know, the more you move the more the gelatin kind of, I don't know where it goes, but I could create an airtight pocket, and I could breathe. So just keep that in mind if you're ever encased in gelatin. Okay, let's go ahead and get into it guys. And I do have my comfort squish. I do. This is, this is my little girl. Okay, this is my crunchy butter squish. Dude, and there's little, I don't know what the hell bullshit they put in here, but I do want to chew on it. This is like beads, it's beads in slime that they put into the butter casing, the butter casing. And the butter casing is, this is the most satisfying squishy I've ever owned, and you can tell because I rub that bitch off, I rubbed all the lettering off, it used to say, butter every little like markings gone within 20 minutes, I rubbed that bitch raw, it's gone. The thing about a squish like this is there's always like a mystery pub that's attached to the squish. There's a mystery pub that finds its way onto the squish's skin. And it's not mine. It's not, because I would, it's not mine. And it begs the question, who's is it? And where did it come from? And there's, oh, I, you know what I'm talking about, dude, guys raise your hand if you know what I'm talking about. There's always like a hair that's not, it's not for me. This attached to a squish. Maybe it's an eyebrow hair. Maybe it's an eyelash. Maybe it's, maybe it is a pub. I don't know what you guys are doing in your homes. This, I, every time I'm like, I pick it off and I act like I didn't see it. Okay. But this is my butter squish, my squish. Love it, because there is a, look, there is a ratio. There is a ratio when it comes to squishies about what needs to go in it, and how much air needs to be in it, and how stretchy it needs to be, and how thick the squish skin is. Okay. And I am going to reference this meme that I sent to about every single person I know when it came across my desk, and my desk is my Instagram explore page. And it said, my cousin, I'm going to misquote it. Actually, I'm going to find it. Okay. I didn't find the exact meme I was looking for, and I'll get to what it says in a minute. But I did find our slash to spigual me. And the top line of this Reddit thread is silly research regarding minion skin texture. There are two questions that have been plaguing our world for centuries. One, what is life, and two, what texture does minion skin have? So I've decided to do this silly little research, and so far I've gotten all kinds of answers from texture of a balloon, through texture of a slimy yoga ball, to texture of a potato dumpling, and many more. And I'm, look, I'm of the camp that says it's thick like a boar skin. Okay. And this is the Instagram meme I saw as it was like my cousin was doing minion research experiments back in the 80s, before that shit was legal, and they cut into one of them. And he says he'll never forget it. It was, it was thick like a boar skin, not slimy, dry, and I laughed so fucking hard at that meme. I send it to every person I know. So operating under this kind of understanding that minion skin is probably thick like a boar's meaning like a small needle couldn't pierce it. It would have to be what they use to tranquilize gorillas. Okay. And I do believe a minion would sit about what three foot four foot tall. It would take a lot to tranquilize it to try to neutralize one of those things. Yeah, good fucking lock pal. Alright, let's see what the people are saying. I think their skin texture is the same as a dog. dolphin. Someone responded this, probably more like a stingray. Their skin is firm. Guys, it's like a banana peel. Why do you think they like them so much? Someone responded and said precisely, and they are yellow like bananas and light behaves similarly with their skin, how it does with banana peel. Someone else said oxygen is optional to them, so I guess it is a unique texture. I'm realizing their lips aren't always defined. So are their lips similar thickness and/or texture to their main skin? What do you mean you're spending a lot of time looking at the difference in texture between a minion lip and a minion's skin? Someone else just says rubber. Maybe foam. Stress ball filled with liquid foam. I feel like they would have a coat of mucus on their skin. No, because they're not shiny. Minions are not shiny. See, they're not shiny at all. Look, this is a youth. This is Bob, the youth. And he's got that heterochromia. Is that what it's called? Heterochromia going on? Heterochromia. A rare condition where a person has different colored eyes. I'm a genius. This is a rare one. If you were going to do experiments on minions, pick the youth. He has two different colored eyes and his skin is not. It looks like if you were to grab minion arms like this and squeeze, I don't believe there would be bone. Dominions have skeletons. No, minions do not have traditional bones or a rigid skeletal system. No, minions do not have bones or a rigid skeletal system. Thank you, Google, for that answer. Okay. Always imagined it's similar to a beluga whale head firm, but squishy and painless to squish. Yes, yes, dude. Yes, I've been saying this. It's like, have you ever seen those videos? People are like, whatever they're doing. They're like needing biscuits on top of a beluga whale, but beluga hail wed. Hello, beluga, hail beluga whale head beluga whale head and honey, I would know one or two things about a beluga whale head. I've got one. And there is a sort of whatever the texture of like a phupa is very similar to a beluga whale head. It's not hurting me when you need biscuits on it, but I don't like it. I don't necessarily like it. Okay. It's not painful, but it's uncomfortable. More from a mental standpoint. If someone came up and like jiggled my my phupa skin, I'd be like, okay, I'm not in pain, but it hurts in a different way. It hurts in the way of, why would you ever do that to me? So think about that. Let's move on. I would like to settle on the fact that maybe, maybe borr skin is a bit too rough and mature for what the majority of the age range of these minions are. And again, they could be, you know, immortal. Who knows? I do believe they're immortal. I think that it would be something similar to a beluga whale. We'll go with beluga whale. All right. Let's get into the stuff that I actually needed to talk about today. Let's get into the stuff that is necessary to talk about. Okay. Oh, and I've got this. I've got a good one on the soundboard for when we talk about some scary stuff. Hi, my name is Carmen Winston. Hi, my name is Carmen. Okay. We're going to talk about House of the Dragon. House of the Dragon. Okay. So there's actually so much to talk about because I haven't been able to talk about this since 2025. Okay. September 2025. I get a call. Hello. Hello. It's Mr HBO. Mr HBO says, would you like to not only help host the red carpet for House of the Dragon season three premiere, but we're thinking of this whole idea ridiculous of Brittany coming to the set as like an official quote unquote, "westerosi" correspondent, and coming to the set, interviewing the whole cast and doing like a, you know, walk around flee bottom with me. My team tells me this and I go one second. And then I filled my diaper because what are you talking about? What are you talking about? Sure. Let's just go to Dragon Stone. Yeah, no, no, no, no, no, no, no problem. I'll just go to Dragon Stone. I'll sit at the painted table. I'll let go ahead and just live the cosplay of my dreams. Yeah, that's actually no problem at all. That's no problem at all. So we do it. And so I literally like it's such an out-of-body experience the whole time because it's like from season obviously House of the Dragon is a prequel to Game of Thrones. So all of these sets and the locations and the iconic things that are throughout the whole show, it's now in front of me and I'm there. I'm in Harren Hall. I'm in the set. I'm in King's Landing. I'm in flee bottom. I'm at the fucking like painted table. I'm at the God's Woodtree. Like there are so many iconic and just like in your head as a fan, you never, if it's done right, okay? If a show like this, a high fantasy political drama is done well, which it is, you don't even think about, oh, that's a set. It's just like that's real. To me, that is real. Dragon's on the painted table, obviously that's old and archaic and that's where shit gets done. That's where shit gets handled. The ancestral seat of House Targaryen? Yeah, of course that's there. I never thought about it being a set. Never thought about it being on a lot somewhere, okay? So we pull up in September of last year. And I can't talk about it at all. We've all signed NDAs. I can't like, we're there on a super secret brosky nation special ops mission. Me, Stanley and Elizabeth and we go and it's this like a truly unbelievable unparalleled like the attention to detail on these sets and not only not even to get to the fact, I'll get to it in a second of I interviewed Egon and Lord Coralus. Hey, the kindest people on planet earth. We'll get to that in a second. Just walking around the sets, it's like the care and love that goes into this show is like one of the top five reasons that I love it so much. And after everything that's happened this year between like interviewing Matt Smith and doing the carpet and like all of these legacy people that the show just means so much to me. Because it's a summation of everything I love about escapism and entertainment and obviously royal court is deeply, deeply inspired by my love of Game of Thrones and this high fantasy medieval just a place to completely immerse yourself in to lose track of time and space and just be there. The only thing that's real is when you're there. You know, what a year it's been for like not only house of the dragon fans, but brosky nation house of the dragon fans. So all that being said, we're walking around the sets. Obviously, I'm doing bits. I'm woe jacking in front of like whatever. I'm hitting the gritty in front of the hair and haul like, you know, big table. And then we finally get to interview Steve Tussant and Tom Glincarney in front of the painted table and dragon stone. And it's just it's a dream. It's a dream. And it also proved to us as a team like a crew for royal court that we can take it on the road. Because up to that point, we'd never done anything like that before. And so like watching the show kind of have its own life and, you know, take different forms and have it be moldable is really, really exciting. It was an exciting B side of all this. So just holy shit. Thank you HBO. And thank you. Jordon Martin. And what the fuck? Because that was truly like, it was an unbelievable once in a lifetime experience. And I'll never forget it. I'll never get over it. In fact, because it's been such an insane like monumental life changing year. I'm going to probably get dark sister tattooed. Dark sister is Damon Targaryen sort. Oh no. Oh no. I'm probably going to get a tattooed. And yeah, I would like to talk about the fact that in one of these videos when I'm on set, the HBO team was like, let's could we do a little social clip where, and I just hit a crazy, sorry about that. Whatever the hell's in my throat. Sorry. And that felt good. That felt good. So we're walking through Dragonstone. And they're like, could you do a video basically recontextualizing us geopolitically speaking of where we're at at the start of season three. So like, you know, the high towers and old town and tumble tin or like, everyone's converging on tumble tin and the Targaryens or whatever. And like, Amon's a hair and haul and whatever. I was like, totally. They hand me a sword. And I was like, okay, great. And so I use it to start pointing and I don't look at it close enough and I go in the video, hey guys, what's up? I'm here with Dark Sister in Dragonstone, did it done? And I start pointing it stuff at the table. All the comments, you fucking idiot. You, who let this buffoon on the set, that is Blackfire. That's clearly Blackfire. Ow. Ow. Well, obviously looking at it now, you're correct, but in the moment they had handed me a sword and I said, oh, thank you for Dark Sister and I just went. I just kind of ran with it. Okay, so I'm now humiliated. Who let this fucking, but I'm liking the comments. Who let this boob on set, this complete bonehead on set to tell everyone about what's happening with your area of fire, that fucking Dark Sister and not Blackfire. I said, I'm sorry. So I'd like to apologize. So I don't know on the season two for carpet. I said something. I asked someone a question about Veigar and I had in my, you know, negligent ignorance misgendered Veigar. I had called Veigar, hey man. I said, Veigar, he, we all know he is the biggest dragon. Here come the commenters. Veigar's a woman, Veigar's the oldest biggest dragon alive other than Verma Thor of the second largest dragon alive. I said, oh my God, you're right. Because guess what? I'm kind of in that camp as well. I border on the fringe of like super, I've got one foot in the super nerd. Like I know way more than the average Game of Thrones fan, but I'm not that level. I'm not the top tier level where I'm commenting on stuff who let this idiot on set, that is Veigar. She is a woman, right? And so a part of me is like, that's hilarious. And you're right. And then the other part of me is like, oh my God. It's a very, you know, delicate, it's a delicate frame of mind. Anyway, I'm laughing. I'm laughing, I'm laughing. So yeah, how's the dragon just all of it? Mass myth is so lovely. He's so British in the best way. And I just like what a, what a great guy. What a fun time. I love just, you guys know, I love a witty man. So witty, so fun. Need to have about 15 to 20 Guinnesses with him sometime. So that was great. Then okay, Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, we don't even need to talk about it. 'Cause it comes back next year, I'm pretty sure. Yeah, I'm sad. Yeah, I'm sad. Peter Klappy, do you want to come on Royal Court? Peter Klappy, do you want to have 30 Guinnesses? Let me know, just let me know. My Instagram DMs are, you know, they're public. And you guys certainly utilize that. And I want you to know any message you send me, probably about 65% of the time, I see it. I see it, I don't respond, but I see it. And they make me giggle. And yeah, just know that. So Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, very excited. Let's move on. Let's talk about Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. Okay, Five Star. Immediate Five Star and Letterbox. The Odyssey, what a ride. I saw it twice. What a ride. I wish we saw a little bit more of the sirens. Okay, that's my one critique. I would like to see a mermaid. I would like to really see a close up of a mermaid. Matt Damon got some by Odysseus. That is my Bostonian Jason Bourne Odysseus. What a fantastic movie, very well cast. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sound design, unparalleled, incredible. And then Matt Damon and I have to weigh on Royal Court shirt. Hey, sure. Just like, okay, okay. So many things happen this summer where I'm like reflect. I was typing everything up and trying to reflect on what the hell have I been doing. And it's just like it's unbelievable. It doesn't even cover it. It is, I never thought. I never thought. And there is a part of me that's like, in a world post Harry Styles on Royal Court, what's there to look forward to? What's there to, okay. I don't care about anything 'cause what I wanted to happen happened. Matt Damon and I have to weigh on Royal Court I care about. I actually, well, of course I care about it all. But it's like, it keeps getting better. And I didn't know it could. So every day is a journey. Every day I open two gifts and they're my fucking eyes. God bless and thank you. - So just wow. Like two of the loveliest, loveliest people I've ever had the pleasure of interviewing deeply funny, deeply professional, like consummate professionals. And yeah, what an incredible movie and press run and just a win for the film community. Truly a win, big fat dub. In the vein of Nolan, I kinda went back and watched a few, both Nolan and Robert Eggers. I watched a lot of their filmography. Well, I watched all of Eggers, but Nolan, I went back and watched The Prestige, okay. Hugh Jackman, Christopher Bale, Christian Bale, Christopher Robin, Christopher Robin, Chris Jenner. I watched The Prestige, what a movie. And you know, Nolan loves to fuck with time. Like that, like nothing's ever linear, everything's like, here's a flashback and then here's this and here's whatever. It makes for an interesting, I'm definitely like paying attention the whole time. The reveal at the end, holy shit. What a movie, what a movie! Really enjoyed that. What's next on the list? Oh my God, I watched Citizen Kane. I've never seen it. And I feel like Citizen Kane is one of those movies, not to bring the minions up again. - Bram. - But. (laughing) - Bram, bram, bram, bram. But the minions really have permeated, you know, my understanding of pop culture and it's one of those things too, where when something becomes immortalized through different, through like satirical media, like the Simpsons, SpongeBob, you know, even, like Rick and Morty minions, it just proves it's kind of immortality within this space. That piece of media has affected everything. So deeply that it will always be remembered 'cause it's now been memed. And two things that come to mind as an example of that is Nosferatu, like SpongeBob, Nosferatu, whatever. And then Citizen Kane, I never understood all those references of like the black and white and like Xanadune, whatever. And now I do. And it's hilarious. So Citizen Kane, I watched it on a plane. And I'd always heard like Orson Wells this and that whatever. And he's just one of those figures of the Golden Age of Hollywood where I was like, I probably should know who that is, but I don't. I watched it, I loved it. I loved that movie. So I mean, wow. And then it kind of started me on this journey back through a bunch of those movies where I added a bunch to my watch list that I'm gonna get through. But Citizen Kane, wow, really, really, really good. And obviously you don't need me to say that because it's like one of the greatest films ever made, probably, and bruh, bruh. He was 26. Orson Wells wrote, directed, and starred in this fuckass movie. He was 26. Wow, what have you done today? What have you done today? I've been thinking about rebranding as a millennial BuzzFeed employee. And the next time you see me, I'm gonna have like, an infinity scarf and I'm gonna have like a mug that says, you have the same number of hours in a day as Beyonce, honey. Like that shit, really, really massive for the culture of white women. You know, like white women really, that was peak for white ladies in corporate America. You have the same number of day, I slay, fierce. Like all that whole era, wow, wow, wow. Wow. So yeah, I've been thinking about that a lot. Recently is, I mean, I'm 29, I turn 29. And I've definitely done some stuff I'm very proud of. But it is moments like that where, oh, you were 20s, oh, okay. Right, got it. Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. But you know what, on the other end of that? Let's go ahead and move into the next thing, practical magic. Got a lot to say about this. Thank you, Nicole Kidman, Sandra Bullock, for coming on Royal Court. What the fuck? What? Huh? What are you talking about, Nicole Kidman, Sandra Bullock, on Royal Court? We come to this place for magic. Yeah, we do. Practical magic, too. I can't believe that happened. And so I watched practical magic for the first time a few months ago, actually. And then when this came about, like, oh, you know, they're doing press for the second one. I was like, huh? Oh, oh, I didn't, I didn't know this was an option. I didn't know you could have Sandra Bullock on your show. I didn't know that that actually could be something that would happen, maybe. And did unbelievable. So if that vein, obviously, like I'm doing all this research on the ladies, and then we're having some other guests on soon that have put me down this rabbit hole, not even a rabbit hole, but down the line of thinking of like aging, right? Like, what is it to be an aging woman in Hollywood? And not even old, not even older, just we're all aging. And it's this constant, you know, the internet makes fun of people with lion face and this and whatever. And 21 year olds getting Botox. And the videos of the middle school girls going to Sephora and using retinoids and like all the shit. It's like, there is something obviously deeply wrong. There is a sickness. There is a plague of a fear of aging that I've talked about before on this podcast. But I know I've almost been radicalized to all of this over the last year. Because it's no longer a fear or even a fascination. It is now an excitement. And I mean that in the most genuine way. Like I texted Drew the other day and I was like, just thought about going through menopause together and started crying. Because I can't wait to have like not for menopause, but I cannot wait to experience every phase, every chapter of womanhood with my girls. Like what a privilege to my community to grow old together and be able to commiserate and laugh and reflect. And like, why would I ever deny myself that privilege? You know, and there's so much to say around that. And while I do believe in taking care of yourself and like wearing sunscreen and staying hydrated and all those things. Almost not as a preventative, but to age the process. So many thoughts on I've completely released this opinion or idea that I need to stop the aging process. You know, oh, when I'm 50, I'll just get a facelift, oh, when I'm this one, I'm whatever. I just I have no interest in it anymore. Like I'm excited to get older and I'm excited to have all the wisdom and the experience that that comes with that accompanies it. Like I'm just I'm over it because a woman's youth when you really not to be the woker, but when you zoom out and it's like, what is the fascination with youth? Oh, it's kind of rooted in like pedophilia. A little bit, a little bit. I don't want to cling onto my youth for that. I want to be with someone who is okay dating a 30 year old. And I hope that they're 32. You know what I mean? I mean, it's I've completely flipped to the other side where not only am I excited about aging, I'm embracing it. So that's kind of something that, you know, just these ladies in Hollywood that have been brave enough to put themselves in the public eye. And therefore have everything conceivable about themselves picked apart by the general public. Like, whoa, whoa, you know, so that's just what that's been having recently. I watched Crazy Rich Asians top 10 rom coms ever. And yes, I'd never seen it. No, I'd never seen it. Everyone's like, oh, that's my favorite plane comfort movie. That's my comfort movie on a plane. Okay, I'd never seen it. Crazy Rich Asians loved it. Love, five stars, completely, completely loved it. What a good ending. And it was so wonderfully cast. And I just really, I cried. I really, really loved it. So I've just never seen it. I'm trying to work my way through movies I've never seen. So when I'm on a plane. And it's like, you know, I go through all the stuff they have on there because usually they have bangers. Where was I flying the other day? I was on some flight the other day and they had Robert Downey Jr. Sherlock Holmes on demand. What? This was for me. And you guys did that for me. And I really appreciate that because I don't really know who else is at this moment in time. Yarning for the 2009 Robert Downey Jr. Sherlock Holmes, the way that I am. I watched that movie probably seven times a year, but not an exaggeration. I have a tattoo. The game is a foot. I love him. And I love him as Sherlock Holmes. I love Jude Law as John. I love like, come on. So watching that, I said, oh, they did this for me. And I really appreciate that. And if you haven't seen it, just go see it. Come watch it. It's fun. It's fun. I love R.D.J. I love R.D.J. so much. Okay. Next, back rooms and obsession. Holy shit. What a win for internet people. 2026 year of the internet creative. Oh my god. And that really was, I feel like a talking point over the summer of. Look what beautiful art that's relevant and successful and chart topping and record breaking can be made. If you give the means of production to the youth. You know, like this old Hollywood system is crumbling. It is crumbling late night crumbling before our eyes. Like what was it? That stat that was like only 25 projects got green lit for 2025 or some bullshit like that. Like, wow, you're, we're now realizing you don't need that. Like just things are changing and culture is so it's very exciting to watch it change this quickly and to realize. Obviously, Gen Z controls what is popular what is and not only Gen Z, but active internet fan bases control what is popular online. It is so democratic now and it's just so wonderful. It is wonderful to watch this revolution happen and I can't wait for more of it. So yeah, love obviously loved obsession laughed my fucking ass off the part when he calls the helpline. He's like, I need to reverse it. He calls the number and he answers. So hilarious. I'm laughing. Like what a way to cut the tension in the room and I saw it with Stanley. We went and saw it in a theater and it was so I literally had a moment where I like sat up in my chair and looked around at a part where everyone was laughing. And I said, oh, this is what it's all about. Yeah, this is what it's all about cinema is so fucking back. So loved that I rewatch beauty in the beast. I love beauty in the beast because guess what what if I talked about before? It's the original one of the original enemies to lovers and like the most visceral way and it stands the test of time. It stands the test of time and when he transforms back into a human. And when he transforms back into a human, suddenly I'm not horny anymore. That always a human. Could you go back to me to beast? I don't. It's something about you know. It's the same in Barbie in the Nutcracker. I like you better as a Nutcracker. I don't, you don't need to be a man. You don't need to, that meme that was like, the wrench from Bob the Builder would, or was it Manny, Manny? - Wood. - Right? The wrench from Bob the Builder. - Rusty, handy, Manny. - Yes, handy, Manny. (laughing) And when people were like, "My hear me out," and they did fucking Rusty from it. (laughing) (crashing) (crashing) A wrench with eyebrows, wood. Wood, he would take care of you. He would provide, he's a blue collar provider. Okay, beast from Beauty and the Beast, wood. Nutcracker from Barbie in the Nutcracker, wood. And if you don't get it, I don't have to explain it. I'm not explaining it, okay? 'Cause that's something that is like, that's community. Like, that's found family. If you're looking at Rusty from handy, Manny, and you're like, "Yeah." Okay? You can't explain family. Okay, here we go, here we go, ready? I have now seen, like I mentioned before, every single Robert Eger's film, other than that short he did for, he did Hansel and Gretel, which is like a silent, black and white film, obviously I need to lock into that. And it's like, I found it on YouTube, I'm just gonna watch it. I've seen every Eger's film. It is The Lighthouse with Robert Pattinson, Willem DeFoe. What a ride. What a movie, dude. I'd never seen it. Like so many, oh my God, there's one scene with the sequel, if y'all have seen it. When he's outside with the sequel on the rock. Oh my God. Like there were so many moments in that movie where I just, I turned to Stanley and I was like, he was like, I know, I know. So, Lighthouse, Osh the Witch. I watched that I think last year. On you Taylor Joy's breakout role, incredible. The witch was spooky boots, it was spoo. - Hi, my name is Kurt Winston. - I don't know, like I did not know that that was gonna be all that. Okay. - He's like the taste of butter. - I didn't know. Then I watched The North Men, Alexander Scars guard. Oh my God. So violent in a good way, right? It was just so, and there's this scene at the end that's a very, it's over and it can have all the high ground. It was very giving that, but wow. One of the most violent visceral films I've seen in a long time, enjoyed it. Probably wasn't my favorite, but I think it gave it like four stars. And then of course, knows for all two. And I say all this because Robert Eggert's where Wolf comes out, it comes out in December. And I'm just like, I'm a bit worried about how annoying I'm going to be when it comes out. And on, by the way, whatever that was. (crow cawing) When you get so excited, you start grunting. (crow cawing) It's pooped. There is a Nosferatu fragrance that Heretic Parfum did. And y'all know I'm a huge fan of Heretic. They did a Nosferatu fragrance. That's like, it is so unique. And it's got that Petricor note. If any of y'all like that, it's very like rainy, soil, coffin, a bit of metal, but it's still wearable. Like they are so good at doing these niche sense. And I really, really hope they do one for Werewolf because lots to play with there. I like, and I don't love an Animalic scent. So if they do one, I hope it's not Animalic, but I'm excited for the sensory experience of a Werewolf collab with Heretic, please do it. Please do it, bro, begging. Okay, we need to talk about some other things that have happened. Just now that I'm back with y'all. Okay, first and foremost. La Rosalía. (crow cawing) What? What? How about this? I wake up, I wake up one morning. I roll over, I grab my phone. A text from someone on Rosalía's team who got my number through a mutual friend and said, "Hi, Rosie's doing a show in San Diego and she would like you to be the guest that comes out during the confessional." Basically, you tell a story about a man that wronged you or a time that it's for La Paredela, which is about like a player. Like any time that maybe you've been the player, you've been played, whatever. And I was like, oh, my fucking god. Obviously screamed, screamed, cried. Like shit in my hand, started clapping. I was so like, okay, right, right, right, right, right. And obviously I knew who I was gonna tell a story about. And obviously you guys probably know who I was gonna tell a story about. And so it happens. And I had so much fun putting together my outfit. I was like, I want to dress like a saint. I want to do the Catholic veil and everything. And so I did my own makeup. I did these little crystal tear drops for "Milk Christel Pianjitio Mante, Pianjit Pianjitio Mante." I have chills, I'll just give myself chills. I love that song. I love Rosalía! And so I came and I did it. She's so nice. She's so nice. I genuinely can't believe it. And she like shouted me out in a way that I, to this day, I'm like, hey, I can't believe that happened. Sometimes I don't randomly pop into my head as I'm doing the dishes or like getting gas or something. I'm like, Rosalía said that she really appreciates me being a lifelong fan. 'Cause I obviously have Multimommy tattooed. Like that album means so much to me. Rosalía means so much to me. I think she is a true artist, capital A. And like what she managed to do with Lux. And I talked about this with Harry of like an artist that they have no choice almost like golden handcuffs. They have to make this piece of art. That's what Lux felt like with Rosalía. Like that is from the deep bowels of her soul. And it is something so honest, so authentic and so well done, well executed, her taste level. But people are going to be studying it. It is the new standard. Like I just have so many compliments to shower her with. And I mean every single one very genuinely. And so her bring me out on stage and saying, like she has been such a fan for so long. And like I, you know, especially in a market like America where for, I feel like the longest time it's been bad bunny who's been the reigning, you know, Latin artist that has kind of captivated this country's attention and fascination. And Rosalía is Spanish of course. And that whole controversy of like winning a Latin Grammy because the Grammys don't have a category for, you know, it's just whatever. Like her artistry, I'm honored to be even in that conversation of like if I helped introduce people to Rosalía. Wow, my privilege to do that truly. So yeah, she just thanked me and it was so unbelievable. And then we did the little confessional and I told my little story about when I had been somebody's sugar mama and it was fucking awful and then we broke up. And yeah, then I went back into the crowd and finished the concert. It was unreal. It was unreal, like truly a highlight of my life. I can't believe it. So what's next? Oh, let's do a quick little book club 'cause I finished, I actually only finished two books over the summer because, okay, woman in white, so much to say about woman in white. So much to say about woman in white, woman in white is my new, it is, it doesn't rival the secret history. Maybe, I think it might rival the secret history. It might take the cake. I think I have three favorite books. And one of them has been my favorite since high school. So I might need to reread it and that might change. But knowing me, high school was very formative for my interest in who I am as a person. So it probably hasn't changed. That book is Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. I, that book changed something in me. It rewired my brain. It made me give a shit about art history and religious iconography and religious history and religious, the inner workings of a religion and the corruption within a religion and just all the things around art history. And albeit, it is a historical fiction. Still a lot of truth in that book and a lot of, it was the first time that it ever made me think about science, the intersection of science and religion. It was like a 15 year old. It really, really changed me as a person. Especially growing up in a church and then leaving the church. Like it was just very formative for me. So I wonder if I would read it back what I feel the same. I probably would. Angels and Demons, the secret history, Donna Tart, that's my favorite book ever of all time. And the woman in white, my Wilkie Collins, dude, dude. It might be the third. It might be my favorite book because what this book manages to accomplish, there are so many stories within stories. And Wilkie Collins did this kind of epistolary narrative function again of it's different first hand accounts. It's almost an accumulation in like a legal fashion of legal evidence to be used in a trial. Like affidavits almost. Of course, told in a more beautiful way. That's easy to follow, but it is, like. Like a main narrator and then it hands off to another narrator and then it's all these different little individual accounts because what I thought this book was going to be was a kind of ghost story because you know I'm on my Victorian kick and this is of course a Victorian novel. I think it was published in the 1860s, but my god, it stands the test of time. It is so good. And the reason I love the Bronte sisters and just Victorian literature in general is because the art of painting with the English language and the canvas is a novel. I really feel and maybe I'm not reading enough contemporary fiction because that's not really my vibe. But just no one does it like those bitches from the 19th century. My god! It is just I read sentences and I'm like how were you able to construct this? I end up underlining them because they're just so beautiful and it's such a wonderful wonderful, exciting way to communicate what she's trying to communicate or you know whatever author it is. So that being said, woman in white is no exception. It is Wilkie Collins's grasp of the English language is just so admirable and like inviable. And woman in white is, it begins as a kind of mystery novel. There's this main character Walter Hartwright who is an art instructor, he's an art teacher. And he gets this job invite job offer from a rural country home where the uncle of the house, it's an uncle in his two nieces, he's looking for a new art master for them to teach them watercolors and sketching and whatever. Well, Walter gets a job invite and he's like, you know what? Fuck it. Okay, fine, I'll do it. So he's on his way out there. This is the very beginning of the book. And he's on this street late at night and he's walking walking walking and he feels a hand on his shoulder and he turns around and it is a woman, as you can imagine, all in white, very ghostly. And at first, you're like, oh, this is an apparition to ghost. You know, this is going to be the central theme of this story is, you know, why is this woman haunting him? Whatever. No, no, no, no, no, could not be more wrong. What ensues is the most insane? It's not a murder mystery, but it's a mystery woven in with like attempted fraud and deception and like marrying for money, almost killing for money and a case of like out without quitting each other, which I love a story like that. It's why I love Sherlock Holmes, it's why I love parts of the Caribbean, any of these movies, where it's a game of wits, it's a battle of the wits. And what is that phenomenon called when it's like you have no other option and suddenly something, it is pulled out of thin air. Is that how you say it or is it, I think it's day use, ex machina, a sudden unexpected concept, character or event that abruptly solves an otherwise hopeless dead end situation. That happens at the end of parts of the Caribbean when, you know, Barbosa shoots Captain Jack and you think that he's dying, but really he's one of the zombie pirates too because he stole a coin or he drank one of the whatever. And so he doesn't die, right, that and it's like, whoa, when did he do that? Because you don't see him doing on screen. That kind of thing, why did I bring this up? Why did I bring this up? Anyway, woman and white, it's a huge journey, okay? This is a beast of a book. It is 700 pages, I was fully engaged for every single page, but it is a lot of information, it's a lot of characters, it's a lot of accounts. There's a lot of timelines and if you enjoy that kind of almost agatha Christie, you know, Arthur Conan Doyle storytelling of like, and this happened here in the, but if you'll remember, the resolution at the end of this book is very rare for novels of this kind, meaning that it resolves positively. And I'm not going to give any more details of that because I really, really recommend you read it if you're into those kind of books. This is truly a five star read for me, truly like favorite book ever I cannot wait to re-read it in a few years and see if it measures up, but wow, wow, wow, wow, love woman and white. Now immediately after woman and white, I was like, I need to go back to Romanticie, okay? I need a Romanticie palette cleanser. I opened anathema and I saw a glossary of terms, Allah, clockwork orange. I saw a map, I saw a family timeline and I went, hold on, hold on. Like, it's just too long, like, like I need to make it a little less long. Oh my god. Oh my god. I do think that anathema, I will get to it, okay? Because I bought anathema and phantasma, very excited to read both of those when I'm back on my Romanticie, Romanticie, but I'm not. I'm not back on my Romanticie shit yet. I thought I was. I thought that's what I wanted and it's not what I wanted. So instead, I opened this, it's a very short read, it's called Blind Owl. Now Blind Owl is a 1930s published Iranian surrealist novel and y'all remember my fascination with madness, specifically female madness, but boy, boy madness will do as well. And this details, this little novella details a man that is clearly experiencing some kind of not psychosis, but like one foot in the real world, one foot out. He's got an opioid addiction, I don't know if alcohol was involved, but it explores this inner world of misery and longing and just unhingedness, something is not right. And I have never read a book like this, I have never read a book. It is the ravings of a half suicidal, half murderous, homicidal maniac that is just deeply unhappy and disturbed and he's very important. I believe his name is Saddek Hadayat, I'm so sorry, but he is a very famous Iranian author that I do believe ended up killing himself. But his works are very important to the Iranian discography of national literature. So first of its kind, I've ever read Water Ride, very short, I read it in one sitting, and yeah, just wow, because I love anything, which is why I picked it up, that deals with this, you know, you're a little bit not there, you're a little bit here and a little bit not. And I enjoyed it. I can't say that it was a fun or delightful read, but it was very interesting, very intriguing. And I finished the book and I was like, what the hell? What the hell? So now I'm reading, I'm back on my Brontace shit, hey, back a lot. I'm back on my Anne Brontace shit. I'm reading the tenant of Wildfell Hall, really loving it so far, really, really loving it so far. Those Brontace sisters, they just know how to damn do it, don't they? They know how to do the damn thing. And the tenant of Wildfell Hall is a story within a story and it's about courting, you know, it's about a mysterious woman moves into the neighborhood and the one of the men in the neighborhood really develops a fascination with her and she will not reveal her backstory. She will not reveal why she is a widow with a single child living in this old decrepit abandoned house, the landlord of the house will not give any details on his new tenant. And it becomes this rumor start to swirl. And at the same time, the main character starts to kind of fall in love with her. But it's this state of lemurance of like, do I love her or do I love that I can't figure her out, you know, and I want to be the one to figure her out. I need to make her trust me so I can figure it out. Now we're in the middle of it where we're learning about her backstory and bitch, it's tea, it's tea. Very Regency era. I mean, they're talking about like, for the season and the mamas and whatever. And I'm like, man, I'm glad I watched Bridgeton so I know what the hell's going on here. Okay. And after I finished tenant of Wildfell Hall, I'm going to finish my Bronte trifecta by finally reading Jane Eyre. Jane Eyre is a fucking beast of a book as well. I mean, it's like 800, 900 pages. How many pages is Jane Eyre? And the only thing I remember about Jane Eyre is there's, she's in the attic. Okay. She's in the attic and then there's like an unhappy marriage. That's all I can remember. How many pages in Jane Eyre? Out. 532. But sometimes it goes up to 624. Awesome. It's just a beast of a book. So I might start that or I might go to anathema. I don't know. I was thinking about the feeling that I got from night in the moth. If you don't remember, I talked about that book a long time ago. It's like a gothic, dark romance to see. Loved that book. And I cannot wait for the second one. When does the second one come out, night in the nave? The nave in the moon. September 1st. It's out! Oh my god! Oh my god, it's out! I have to buy it. All right, I'm gonna read it. (laughing) Okay, maybe I'm gonna skip January and I'm gonna go check for the nave in the moon. (laughing) Oh, I can't wait. Okay. But yeah, that's my reading update for right now. And we'll see, we'll see what's going on there. Okay, and we're an hour in. And sometimes you're an hour in and time just flies, guys. So much update you want. This is probably gonna be an hour and 20 minutes long. Okay, some things I'm into. This is a very, very important part of the podcast. Okay? I'm very excited to show these things to you, to share these things with you. Wimsy. Okay, I'm always talking about whimsy, whimsy, whimsy, whimsy. Here are some whimsical things that I'm into that if you would like to implement them in your life, please feel free because these things have brought me such joy that I really am excited. I've been waiting to tell you about them. So number one, I'm trying to use more cursive in my daily life. I get a lot of videos on my Explore page on Instagram of just wonderful old ladies writing in cursive, just keeping it alive. I think that in this age of it's two things happening at once. One, the kids can't fucking read and the kids can't write and the kids don't have a proper grasp on English. Then at the other end of the spectrum, there is a group of Gen Z, potentially Gen Alpha, that are going back to analog phones, analog cameras, taking notes physically, like all of these things, we're just over it in the digital age, we crave physical media, okay? The criteria and closet being like a thing that people are addicted to obsessed with, all of these relics are kind of coming back and it's exciting and it's fun. And they're collectible and you know, whatever, you can share them with your friends, borrow them, whatever. I think that for me, cursive is an easy thing to implement in your daily life when you write something on a sticky note or when you take a note or when you're writing your to-do list, grocery list, writing cursive, why not? You know, and if it looks like shit, then practice, it's just something I really have been loving and it's just a fun, whimsical way to be a bit more fancy in your daily life. And it's a dying art, it is a dying art form. Who is keeping that shit alive? We have to keep it alive. Another thing in my house, I keep jazz playing, okay? I alternate between KUSC FM, which is the California classical station on I Heart Radio and then just jazz, just YouTube has a bunch of jazz playlists. I love it, it makes me feel very, sometimes modern music, if I'm not in the mood, can really over-simulate me. Even if it's songs that I like, I'm just like I'm not in the mood. I need to, my house needs to be a place that I can come to and recenter and relax and you know, don't like, turn it on, no, no, turn those lights off. I don't want the big light on. I want little yellow lights everywhere, okay? Squishies, I'm on that squishy shit hard. And sorry, for the misophony of people, I don't care. If you've misophony, you need to get over it and buy a squishy. That's just, that's my opinion. That's my opinion. So next is Candle Wormers. Candle Wormers and the pumpkin, sorry. Candle Wormers and specific candles I've been into are pumpkin candles, pumpkin spice. You know that girl, pumpkin spice, that's my shit. Is that what she says? She says, I don't like pumpkin spice. And then she got us recently 'cause she made a video or she was like, I do like pumpkin spice, but it's 'cause she got a cat named pumpkin spice. You got my ass girl, you got my ass queen. Next, a fig candle, been really into fig for both this like summer and to fall transition, okay? It's very, very clean. It's but also warm. And anything with the fig note, I'm there. I'm there, I love a fig. Next, in the vein of lighting and Candle Wormers, shower lighting. Okay guys, I got a sunset lamp. Just one of those dinky bullshit ones. I just, I got one. I put it in my bathroom, shine it against the wall. And then in my shower, I have one of those rechargeable lamps. I just, I put it in there. It is so luxurious. I'm all about like trying to calm my nervous system these days because holy shit. There's always something, it's always something, it's always something, it's always something. I can't, when I come back to my house, I wanna, pumpkin spice, you know what I mean? So I've got shower lighting. I really would recommend that. This episode is sponsored by Lola Blankets. Next up, I'm gonna put a video up here for a detail shot. I have been so into. You could call them bag charms, but they're really just, I guess, keychains. I make these gorgeous keychains that really came from this idea of Shrinky Dinks. I follow Gazoo Studio on YouTube. She's one of my favorite YouTubers. She makes crafts. And she does little Shrinky Dink charms and that she does so pretty. She's like a for real artist and she'll draw and then she'll shrink up and she'll turn them into keychains. And they are so damn cute. She'll make it about anything. Like desserts or back to school stuff or like an apple or like city themed, which is my next thing. Whenever I like travel to New City, I'm gonna swap my little bag charms for the one that I've made 'cause they make, you know, New York ones. And like LA, I could do a little palm tree, you know, whatever. It's so cute. It's really been giving me joy. So yeah, I make these. This is a little Halloween one. It's all silver. It's got spiders and a little crystal spider on his web. This is a little gold tulip one. The color scheme of it all. Very, very, very much satisfying to me. Very satisfying. This is a blue one. I'm trying to experiment more with color. And you can do two little ones. You can do, there's ones like it's a little charm and you can put a charm in it. Come on. And they're all impentuous. I just save them on Pinterest. I started making them as phone charms. This is a little pumpkin, pumpkin spice. And this is my Twilight Zone phone case. But I started making phone charms and then I realized these could be bag charms and then they could also be keychains. But here's the thing, if you're going to do it, I'm not a maximal list when it comes to phone or bag charms on my bag just the one, okay, just the one. I don't have the big plushies and the whatever, whatever, except if I'm a Disney, then I'm going to have a bag charm that's a plushie because you have to have moderation, okay? But yeah, this is a really fun hobby of I do. It's just with pliers. You just open the little jump rings with pliers, do whatever, build it. I would really recommend doing it on a towel so that the beads don't roll everywhere. Now I have little like containers to hold on my beads. It is so much damn fun. I've also been into felting. I'll put a picture of my felting crafts up here. It's just, it gets me off my phone. It gets me doing something with my hands and I've been putting up history videos on YouTube while I do it. And it is just, it's fantastic. I have the time in my life and since May actually when I had my huge burnout crash out like, oh, maybe I don't want to do this job anymore. And I mean that like I've been trying to find little things to bring me back to me. And these are the ones and they're so much fun. And I about a month ago had another little crash out and it's just crafting. I'm like, if I'm away from the things that are me and bring me to me for too long, I really start to feel it and I really start to be not well. So that sucks. But these things really, really help. So I love it. I love crafting. I really, you don't have to be good at it. Just start and get a cheap craft. Shreaky dinks are like three dollars. Go do it and color it and cook it in the oven and make a key chain. It really is that simple. Other things I'm into. I had a huge phase over the summer with Sierra Farrell. Sierra Farrell is 100% going to be my number one artist on Spotify this year. Like I love her in a way that's weird. And what kickstarted it actually is we saw Mumford & Sons in concert in March and she opened for them. Fantastic opener, by the way. Fantastic choice for an opener. And I had listened to a few of her songs before and I loved it. They would be on my playlist for, you know, that kind of like Tyler Childers, Culture Wall style of folk country. But oh my God, dude, Sierra Farrell, I just, I know every song she's ever made by heart. I love her too. Death. Love her. That was a huge phase for me. Powerwash videos. Did. Powerwash videos. Powerwash YouTube shorts. Get into that. Get into that. Okay, those are, that's my like what you've missed. Now a new segment. Okay, this is what I'm calling housekeeping, but major, a new change. A major change is about to happen, okay? So I'm going to do Song of the Week, what I'm watching, what I'm looking forward to, and then some style things I've been loving. So Song of the Week is Summers Over by Jordana and TV Girl. I'm back on my white people shit. I'm doing TV girl. I'm doing Empire of the Sun. I'm doing Cage the Elephant. I'm doing Foster the people, Foster the people, Fostering the people. All of that. Peach Pit. Whatever. Oh my god. It's just so, I put it on. It makes me happy. It's good driving music. So that song, what I'm watching, dude, I've never seen girls. I've never seen girls and girls is incredibly millennial. But it's also so vulgar and I don't even mean that it's like, oh, I'm approved. It's just, I'm seeing some version of Bushballs and Dick every episode. I have seen more Dick and Bush in my life watching this show than ever before. And I, you know, yep, that's part of it. And a lot of sex. It's really sex forward, which is fine. It's fine. I'm not approved. It's just, hey, watch it alone. You need to, hey, go ahead and watch this alone. Don't download a whole season like me on your iPad and watch it on a plane because people will look at you funny. They will look you funny and you will have to turn your brightness down. So, yeah, girls, I'm on season six. The thing about this show is everyone is extremely unlikable. I hate every fucking character, every single one. But other times I'm laughing, I'm laughing my fucking ass off. There are parts that are so, it's very well written. And I really commend it for that. It is very of its time. I will say that. It's very BuzzFeed, Final Boss, Mustache, you know, epic win. It's very millennial. But in other ways, it's timeless. So, I don't know. And I don't know about Lena Dunham. I don't know. I didn't read Famesick. I don't know any of the shit. I know that some people fucking hate her. I know she's controversial. I don't know why. But girls, I feel like always comes up in this conversation of comedy shows. I, you know, you need to see. I've never seen it. So, I'm watching it. Next, I'm doing a rest of the development. Never seen it. And I know I would fucking love it because we'll earn a Bateman, like, come on. That's just, that's my, that's my shit, punk, his voice. So, that is next on my watch list. Yeah. What I'm looking forward to, where we'll find Robert Eggers. We know this. And style things I'm loving. Okay. Had a major revelation over the summer, hey, if you have fat arms raise your hand. Okay. If you, I just move on, I move on, if you have fat arms raise your hand. Okay. The merch is gonna be, no, seriously, if you have fat arms raise your hand, raise both of your hands, smell your pits. Okay. Thank you. Fat arm people. Who cares? Who cares? Do you know how long I've been dog walked by the fact that I have fat arms? How many outfits I believe fat arms have ruined? How many things I put back on the shelf? How many, like, times I've talked down to myself? I this summer was like, it's hot. I have fat arms and hey, most people know that, okay? I know that looking at me, yeah, those are gonna be fat arms. I have come to the very genius realization that it doesn't matter. So it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. And I just wanted to share that because if you have fat arms and a fat belly and fat anything, it doesn't matter. And I feel like I just never really heard that before. So this summer, I wore a tube top for the first time in my life and no one died. Everything was fine. I was not pointed and laughed at. I did not, you know, get called a bingo wings. None of that kind of happened. So I would recommend wearing a tube top. If you've got a tube top and you've been kind of waiting to wear it, just wear it. Because you've only got about, give or take 60 years left on this planet, maybe. If you're lucky, if you're lucky, you have about 60 years left, maybe less, maybe more. So just wear a tube top because it does not matter, just something that I kind of, you know, was thinking about. Also new. I'm a tabby girl now. I used to be like, those fucking dumb ass shoes now. I follow that girl who does the freaky shoes on TikTok. I love her. I don't remember her name, but she's like, where are my freaky shoe girls at? And I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah. She has some weird ass shoes. Some of them are a bit too weird for me. Some of them I'm like, oh, wow, wow, wow. So I just, I got some tabbies. And then I also just ordered like apparently Nike makes some tabbies. And they're like good for their walking shoes. So I'm going to get those and I got them in a really pretty, pretty light blue color. So I'm excited to kind of bust those out, bust them in, bust in them, very excited. Okay. Okay, Emmys are now a real, you know, what if the internet shows are now going to be on the Emmys? That's a real thing that could probably happen in the next two years. It's very exciting. So, yeah, Royal Court, we've got merch. The Broskier Report merch is still up. We've got mamos and potentially a new drop. I've been talking about doing this book club merch for a very long time. The day has come. The day has come. Keep your eyes peeled. Okay, okay, okay, okay. It's going to be launching incredibly soon. I'll keep you guys updated and I'll be posting about it on Instagram. And of course, when it launches, I'll announce it on here officially. But it's very cool. It's very dark academia, very very my vibe. I'm loving it, loving it. So that's kind of what I've got for you this week. I am so excited to be back. Thank you for rocking with me in my absence. I needed to do those side quests. I really really did and I needed some time off because this job is so naval gazing and it is actually deeply weird to talk about yourself and what you like and who you are and you and you and you and you all the time. Who gives a fuck? And I'm so blessed that I have a community of people who actually deeply, deeply do give a fuck and really find community with me. But sometimes in my own head, I'm like, you self-important asshole. It's a psychological experiment for the ability to do this job. And I just quickly realized I was having, I had no input in my life. I was just giving, giving, giving output, output, output. I'll put be funny, be funny, dance, monkey dance, dance. And my legs didn't work anymore. I couldn't dance. So now I'm back to dance. So I'm very happy to be back. And let's do it. Let's freaking do it. I'll see you guys next week. Thank you for being patient and pray for me and my bone burger. I really, really appreciate it, y'all. Thank you so much. Okay, bye-bye.
