U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Mike Waltz, getting into a heated confrontation with Cuban officials during a General Assembly meeting this week, an altercation now resulting in the expulsion of a Cuban diplomat from the United States. The confrontation unfolding during the UN's annual debate over the decades-long U.S. economic embargo against Cuba on Tuesday, as the Trump administration urged member states to reject a resolution condemning the sanctions. Ambassador Waltz accusing Cuba's communist government of enriching its leaders at the expense of ordinary citizens, prompting members of the Cuban delegation to bang on their desks and interrupts his remarks. The ambassador pointing to the lavish lifestyle allegedly enjoyed by members of the Castro family. Why settle for mansions by the sea when you can have your own private island? That's right, the Castro family has their own private island, Caio Piedra, again you can find this if you simply look for it, look beyond your talking points. Take a look at this place, private marina, a yacht, a floating restaurant, lavish guest accommodations, a swimming pool, even a lagoon for pet dolphins. It's right there on the other side of Cuba, on the south side of Cuba. They have another island, by the way, with exotic animals. As the ambassador continued his criticism, Cuban foreign minister Bruno Rodriguez leaving his seat and approaching the front of the General Assembly, accusing the American ambassador of lying. The confrontation escalating as Rodriguez refused to return to his seat. This individual needs to back away from this podium. He's not going to intimidate me. The meeting briefly suspended before Ambassador Waltz resumed his remarks, urging countries to vote against the resolution. Rodriguez later gave an opportunity to raise a procedural objection, accusing the ambassador of making statements that were insulting to Cuba's government and people. The confrontation also spilling over into a separate altercation involving members of the two diplomatic delegations. Video showing Cuban diplomat Richard Torre de la Concepción, reaching toward the phone of a Waltz spokesman, recording the disturbance. Waltz accusing the Cuban official of attempting to intimidate American personnel, revealing Tuesday night on Fox News that Secretary of State Marco Rubio had signed paperwork ordering his expulsion. They thought they could intimidate me and my diplomats. You know I'm a 27-year green beret. I'm not going to have it. They thought they could intimidate us in the United States of America, like they do their own people, and they had another thing coming. Final thing, just before I came on tonight, Secretary Rubio signed the paperwork to eject the diplomat that thought he could, the Cuban diplomat, the first secretary of their delegation who shoved and tried to assault one of our American diplomats. The Cuban diplomat reportedly ordered to leave the U.S. within 24 hours. The diplomatic showdown coming a day before yesterday's vote, as the Trump administration makes significant gains in its efforts to turn UN member states against Cuba. The General Assembly ultimately voting 130-17 in favor of condemning the U.S. embargo, 25 countries abstaining. That marking a slight shift from last year, when 165 countries supported the resolution, just 7 opposed it, and 12 abstained. Germany and Italy among the countries abstaining after previously supporting the measure. The resolution carrying no legal authority to end the U.S. embargo, which only the U.S. Congress can lift. The vote coming as President Trump intensifies economic pressure on Cuba, including restrictions targeting countries supplying oil to the island, contributing to widespread fuel shortages and blackouts. Former Vice President Kamala Harris increasingly inserting herself into the National Political Conversation, weighing in on how Democrats should confront President Trump if they regain control of Congress next week. Her latest comments coming as Ms. Harris ramps up campaign appearances across the country. Finally considers another White House bid in 2028 and faces growing resistance from members of her own party. During an interview Tuesday, with digital show The Parness Perspective, Harris offering Democrats some advice on how to approach the second half of Trump's presidency. I think that going on in the direction of impeachment is not a good idea, just to be honest with you. Just because we have limited resources and I think the energy and the resources need to be put into accountability, need to be put into investigations and that's where the time should be spent. You remember I was in the Senate for the last go round and the votes aren't there, right? So that's how I feel. But also I think after the election, we all have to just also agree that our attitude has to get stuff done. Ms. Harris is increasingly outspoken political positions coming as the former vice president makes a renewed push onto the national stage. According to the Associated Press, the former VP embarking on a campaign to her spanning Nevada, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, and Georgia, including several states expected to play important roles in the 2028 Democratic presidential primaries. In a new CNN interview, Ms. Harris acknowledging she's seriously weighing another presidential campaign and many she goes back and forth about whether to run. Ms. Harris also pushing back against Democrats who wanted to step aside, joking some would prefer she stay home eating bonbons and cooking her husband Doug M. Hoff's favorite meals. A new report from the Daily Mail reveals growing resistance among major Democrat donors and party officials, some reportedly looking for ways to prevent another Harris candidacy before it begins. According to the outlet, Ms. Harris has been reaching out to donors in an effort to rebuild relationships following her 2024 defeat. Ms. Harris sources familiar with those conversations, describing a chilly reception. The opposition extending beyond donors. Democrat Senator Alyssa Slotkin of Michigan recently rejecting the idea of another Harris campaign during an appearance at the University of Chicago. Agreeing that the party needs a fresh face in 2028. Still, Ms. Harris retains considerable support among Democrat voters. According to the latest real clear polling average, the former vice president leading the field with 25.4% support. That puts Ms. Harris more than 10 points ahead of her closest potential rival, California governor Gavin Newsom, who is at 14.8%. Delaware Judge delivering a legal victory for hosting commentator Candace Owens, dismissing her personally from a defamation lawsuit brought by French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte. The ruling Tuesday, allowing the case against two companies associated with Owens to continue, but shielding her from personal liability in the Delaware lawsuit. The Macron suing Owens in July of last year over her repeated claims that France's first lady was born a man. Owens discussing the allegations extensively on her podcast, dedicating dozens of episodes to questioning Brigitte Macron's identity. Delaware's superior court judge, Sheldon Renny, finding that his court lacks jurisdiction over Owens because she lives in Tennessee. Even though her two companies, Candace Owens LLC and George Tom Inck are registered in Delaware. The decision meaning that even if the Macron's ultimately win their case, Owens personal assets would likely be protected from any resulting judgment. The judge also handing Owens another potential victory, ruling that France's statute of limitations, rather than Delaware's, should determine whether the lawsuit can proceed. Under French law, defamation claims generally must be filed within three months of the alleged statements, although certain claims involving discrimination can qualify for a one-year deadline. The judge now asking both sides to argue which deadline should apply. If he determines the shorter three-month window governs the case, the Macron's could see their entire lawsuit dismissed for being filed too late. Owens celebrating the decision on acts, thanking the Delaware court and accusing the French president of attempting to use the American legal system to bankrupt her. Attorneys for the Macron's, welcoming the decision to keep the two companies in the lawsuit, and indicating they may pursue other avenues to hold Owens personally accountable. We spoke with Mark Eiglach, co-host a positively legal on the MKTrue Crime Channel, who cautions that the ruling doesn't necessarily put her financial exposure behind her. "I don't think it's caused for celebration too much. You still on the hook, terms of her companies, both Candace Owens LLC and George Tom Inc., both registered in Delaware, could be sued for what they're alleging." Ask for the question of whether the Macron's waited too long to file. It really depends upon the available law in Delaware and what this court is guided to do by precedent. I don't think the judge knows. I think that if it's the three-month deadline, then this case goes bye-bye, and so there's no worries for Candace. If, however, the judge applies a different standard, then the case can proceed and then be attacked on all the other grounds. Even if the lawsuit survives, the Macron's still facing a potentially difficult path to victory. Eiglach pointing to the legal protections afforded to public figures under American defamation law. Because Candace is a public figure, the burden of proof is higher. They must prove actual malice. That means either Candace knew his false when she said it or it was a reckless disregard of the truth. It's a really tough burden. That's why a lot of people do not win under these circumstances. So, that's a real high, high burden for them. Beyond establishing that the statements were defamatory, the Macron's would also have to demonstrate the harm they suffered. Eiglach, outlining another challenge they could face in court. This case could still be dismissed by Judge Renny in the Delaware Superior Court. But if found liable, it just depends on how they can prove damages. That's another issue. Yeah, it's not a flattering thing, assuming it is false, but they'd have to actually prove damages. A 25-year-old new Jersey man facing a terrorism-related charge after a drunken joke sent to his buddy forced a United Airlines flight to turn around, landing him in jail instead of back home. Dante Milne, returning from a three-day underwater welding apprenticeship in Las Vegas Saturday, boarding a United flight bound for Newark. According to Fox Five Las Vegas, Milne had a beer and several shots at the airport bar before boarding, and later sending a text to a co-worker seated elsewhere on the plane. The message, reading, quote, "I'm going to hijack this bitch and crash your row only." Unfortunately for Milne, a flight attendant spotted the message, alerting the captain to what appeared to be a potential hijacking threat. The pilot immediately securing the cockpit and turning the aircraft around, returning to Las Vegas just 15 minutes after takeoff. Milne, then falling asleep, completely unaware of the commotion his text had caused. Here air traffic control audio from the pilot. Police waiting on the tarmac when the plane landed, arresting Milne as the remaining passengers evacuated. No one was injured and a subsequent search of the aircraft finding no security threat. According to his arrest report, Milne initially telling investigators he couldn't remember exactly what he texted, before explaining that the message was simply poorly worded, quote, "banter between co-workers." Milne apologizing for the incident and denying he ever intended to hijack the plane. However, his joked out carrying some serious consequences, Milne charged with making threats or conveying false information concerning an act of terrorism and released from custody after posting bail. His attorney telling a judge Tuesday that he plans to plead not guilty. Milne scheduled to return to court January 5.
