Vishen Lakhiani: Finding Your Soulmate, Dharma's True Meaning, Your Guardian Angels

In this conversation, Vishen Lakhiani challenges conventional manifesting advice, arguing that the law of attraction is "punk" because the universe reflects your identity, not your desires. He introduces the law of resonance, where your subconscious only allows what feels safe, so changing your inner identity is key. Using a road trip analogy, he outlines four manifesting blocks: inner identity (the car model), fuel (emotions and environment), GPS (outdated rules vs. soul’s calling), and driver (surrender over forcing). Practical tools include lofty questions—like "Why do I have a million dollars?"—to bypass subconscious resistance, and the five-bucket money model to shift scarcity beliefs. He emphasizes post-rational spirituality, citing evidence for intuition, healing, and reincarnation, and shares personal stories of healing through prayer and plant medicine. He advocates ending loneliness as his current dharma, viewing love as re-joining and all souls as interconnected. For dating, he advises clarity, showing intent, and using the "no big deal" method to avoid neediness. Self-love stems from forgiveness, and the ultimate wisdom is that you are never alone, connected to angels and universal forces. The conversation blends practical success strategies with deep spiritual insights, urging listeners to integrate power and love.

You have manifested this, yet you believe the law of attraction is bullshit. The universe doesn't give you what you want. It does not give a damn about what you want. Your mind will only manifest what your subconscious feels is safe for you to have. Budgeting and saving will actually slow down your wealth accumulation. Really? Because as soon as you start budgeting and saving, you're telling your brain that money is scarce. I don't walk this world alone. Every single person listening to this podcast is a guardian angel, but they can only help. When you ask, they can't interfere. My mind says one thing, my heart says another thing. I don't know what to listen to. My intuition told me you have to leave. Submission? I'm so grateful you're here. Thank you, Cash. The fact that we're friends and doing this just makes it that much more special. And fun. And fun, yeah, exactly. I mean, you have quite literally. Ever since you and I have become friends, you have impacted my life in so many different ways. I'm honored to hear that. Both directly and indirectly through people, through yourself, directly like just so many different ways. But the reason I really wanted to bring you on is because you fundamentally have built such a massive company, my buddy. You have manifested this. Yet you believe the law of attraction is bullshit. Not quite. Tell our audience. So the law of attraction that so many people talk about is basically punk. And I'm not saying that based on my observation. I'm saying that based on the conversation I had with many of the teachers in the hit film The Secret. You see, Secret came out 20 years ago, right? That became the best selling DVD of all time. What many people don't know is I was one of the people after the secret came out who worked directly with Bob Proctor, directly with Lisa Nichols, directly with the Reverend Michael Beckwith. Helping them create programs to get their ideas out to the world. Many of these people became my friends. Bob Proctor, Lisa Nichols, they became my mentor. Lisa was like an elder sister to me. 20 years after the secret, his mind value was taking off. I was friends with those of them that were still around Bob had passed away. But I got to ask them if you could update what you were saying in the secret. What would you say? One of the most interesting conversations it was with Michael Beckwith. We were having breakfast in Portugal and Beckwith looked at me and he said, the law of attraction is punk. Rather, what I want everyone to understand is this. No, the universe will reflect back to you who you are. This, he said, is the law of resonance. The universe mirrors back to you your identity. It will never give you what you want. But it will reflect back to you whatever identity you carry forward. So become in your mind that which you want to attract. So when you say you want to become that which you wish to attract, I guarantee there are people listening and that sounds like such a lofty idea. How can we practically start to break that down into something? So someone can literally wake up tomorrow and say, I need to be this person in order to attract X, why is it? That's the great secret, isn't it? This is the great secret to manifesting. And I came across this based on a research project I did last year. Last year, Mind Valley, my company organized a huge manifesting summit in Los Angeles. We had tens of thousands of people, 13,000 people bought a ticket. We had Quintet Paltrow on stage, Joe Dispenza, Roxena Fussi, David Guillaume, all of the manifesting experts. And we took all of their work and we put it into a computer system and we started to look at what are the common patterns. And they were unique blocks that started coming out. There were 10 overall 10 things that prevent you from manifesting. Now, these 10 things fall into four blocks. And what I'd love to do if you want me to explain this, talk about these four things and show how with a tiny little tweak you can change the way you hit your goals. You can change the way you attract what you want into your life. So the first thing I want you to understand is this. Manifesting is like a road trip. This road trip analogy is probably going to change your life when you understand it. So on a road trip, there's a destination you want to get to. So I remember I love doing road trips in America with my kids and we love going to your Simity Yellowstone National Park. We love doing road trips to the park. So the destination is the park. Getting into our car, packing the car, getting started. That is the beginning of the journey to that which we want to manifest the park. Now, when you're on a road trip, there are four things that matter. And what people don't understand is that these four things in the road trip analogy directly correspond to the four greatest areas of resistance that keep you stuck. Now, the first is inner identity. This is basically the model of the car. Are you driving a Bentley or are you driving a beat-up Honda record from 1989? The model of the car is the identity. Now, let me explain what that means. The identity is who do you see yourself as? And what are you ready for? That's your identity. See, I want to pick a common thing that people want to manifest. How about a partner? Okay, so let's go straight to dating, okay? A partner. It's one of the most common things that people want. Now, the interesting thing about trying to manifest a partner is this. And I want you to remember, your mind will only manifest what your subconscious feels is safe for you to have. So you may think you want a partner. But if you are still hurting from past relationship trauma, where you were controlled, where you didn't have freedom, where you didn't have intimacy, where you had your feelings hurt, your subconscious is going to hijack every single attempt to manifest that partner. Every single attempt. Your mind will not get you what you want. Unless your subconscious feels safe to let you step into that. What is that subconscious? It protects us. As you're listening to this podcast, you're breathing. But you're not telling yourself to breathe. Your subconscious is controlling your breathing. Your subconscious is controlling your biology. Your subconscious is controlling your manifesting. So I sat down with the legendary teacher, Catherine Woodward Thomas. She wrote the book calling in the one, which is one of the top books in manifesting your soulmate. And this is what I learned from her. She said, "You want to manifest your soulmate? Forgive every single one of your exes." Because as long as you carry hurt, anger towards an ex, you're carrying a fear on a future relationship. You're carrying a fear that you're going to be controlled. You're carrying a fear that you're going to lose your freedom. You're carrying a fear that you're going to wake up next day and find yourself not attracted to someone that you put a ring on. Every single one of those fears hijacks you attracting the next person. So how do you solve that? Forgive, forgive, forgive. In Catherine's work, I became the official publisher of Catherine's work calling in the one. It's not a lecture. It's mostly meditations. You go true, meditation after meditation after healing. I was married to the same woman for 19 years and then we went through a divorce. We did a conscious uncoupling. Catherine actually advised us. And we did a conscious uncoupling. And when we did that, when we decided we were going to part ways after 19 years, two kids, you can imagine that, right? One of the things we did is we meditated to heal any type of trauma that we had with each other. We forgave each other to this day with now being divorced for eight years. She's one of my closest friends. Because I made the effort to heal every single barrier to love. So that's inner identity. What's really going on inside you? Your identity is not who you show up as. It's not the affirmations you tell yourself. It's what your subconscious says you are. And if that is not completely aligned, manifesting won't happen. Your subconscious will only give you what it feels. It is safe for you to receive. So that's an inner identity block. The inner identity is to make a model of the car. But what else do we need in a road trip? We need to pay attention to the fuel. We need to pay attention to the GPS. And we need to pay attention to your driving skills. Each of these ideas represents one of the core barriers to manifesting. So let's go on to the next one, the fuel. So what is fuel? It's what the car runs on. What is the fuel for a human being? It's your feelings. It's your emotions. Studies, for example, show that when you are happy at work, you do better at work. Right? Your feelings and your emotion are your fuel. That's why motivation matters. Because motivation gives you the fuel to keep going. Happiness gives you fuel to keep doing your job. The feeling of love you have in a relationship gives you fuel to keep investing in that relationship. So your fuel matters. But here's the mistake people make with fuel. And there are two mistakes. One is, they fail to understand that we as human beings are deeply influenced by the environment we are in. So your tribe, your friends, your family, even your room will influence your manifesting. So you want to hear something crazy? I grew up in Asia, in East Asia. And in China, in Hong Kong, in Singapore, in Malaysia, people believe in a concept called Feng Shui that there's an energy in the space around you. So simple things like how you align your room, how you align your desk. I know we are property developers. When they build a skyscraper in Malaysia, they spend a million dollars on a Feng Shui consultant. Now this is not just ancient Chinese wisdom. It's also practical. It's where you position the door and so on. Why? Because they believe your environment matters. And I've witnessed this in my own life. I've had Feng Shui experts like Marie Diamond come to me in my office and say, "Vision, you got to change this. Put your desk in that direction, shift that." And I did that as an experiment. And I saw massive boost in revenue. So one thing is the space around you. Now, the space around you is also influenced by who is in that space. Do you have a family member who books on your goals? Are you associating with friends who don't care about their health, who are cynical about love? That's gonna impact you. And then it's your emotions, it's your fuel. What are you watching? What are you reading? Are you hooked on negative social media? Are you reading books about how men or women suck? Or are you truly immersing yourself in the feeling of love around people who light you up? Again, back to the attracting a partner. How do you adjust your fuel? Go to conferences where you will meet positive people who are learners, who are growers. The most fascinating, amazing woman I've met that I've dated, we met at a conference because they will learn us. They want it to grow, they want it to learn. That's people with great fuel, right? Especially wellness conferences, longevity, personal growth. And then the other thing is, organize your space, organize your room. So I had the great Feng Shui consultant, Marie Diamond, do my home. And some of the things she told me was really interesting. Yeah, what did she say? Well, she said, "Vision, you want to attract the soulmate? Look at your closet, okay? There's no space if you have a partner. There's no space for them to hang things, create a space in your closet." She said, "If you're trying to attract the soulmate, never have, and you have a queen bed. Never push it against a wall. Act as if you have a partner. Your partner can basically spider-man jump their way into bed. They have to come around the other side." She said, "Have two bedside tables. One for you, one for the partner that you're going to attract. And on the partner's bedside table, be considerate. Put a charger for their phone, put a picture with water. Act as if it's already happening. Every morning when you wake up, she says, "Whether you believe in Feng Shui or not, you're already aligning yourself with the idea that you're going to be sharing your space, create the space, and step into spaces with the right energy and the right people." That's number two. That's the fuel. But now, there's number three, the GPS. The GPS is where we got lost. The GPS is what can drive us away from our goal. Now, what is a GPS? A GPS is your map. Now, the problem with many people is they are using outdated maps. So you think you're on the right path to Yellowstone. But you're actually going on an outdated route when there is a super highway that's being created. Or you think you want to take the scenic route, but you take the ugly route. So when we talk about maps, what we're really talking about is what rules are you subscribing to. And your podcast is all about relearning. Human beings need to constantly relearn because our culture and society is constantly changing. So many of us are stuck into outdated rules about the world works. In my writing, I call these rules, B-R-U-L-E-S, or bullshit rules. And we are constantly operating based on bullshit rules about society, about spirituality, about love. Okay, so let's talk about dating. Do you really want to partner? Do you really want to be married? Or is that something your culture is telling you you need to have? Is that something your Indian mother is pushing you to do? Make me grandkids. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Is that what you really want? Are your desires coming from someone else, or your desires coming truly from your soul? So there's such a thing as mature and immature desires. A mature desire is a desire that's coming from the soul. You want a relationship, but there are certain things you want. I know a couple that's in an incredible relationship, but they constructed it their way. Okay, now I'm not saying this is right or wrong, right? But the way they constructed their relationship, they spend one month together, then they spend one month apart. Then they spend one month together, then they spend one month apart. And I asked this lady, the lady who was in this relationship structure, why do you do that? And she goes, who says that I have to follow the standard model? What's the divorce rate? And I go 55%, she goes C. So you're telling me I should follow a standard model with a failure rate that high. And then she said something that I'll never forget. I said, are you married to your partner? She goes, yes, I go, but you don't wear a ring. She goes, the ring is the most unspiritual thing you can do. What? She says a ring is basically a promise of getting up your freedom. She says, I create a verbal and an energetic commitment with my partner that we will be together as long as we are growing, as long as we love each other. That do us a pot thing. That is a construct from the 17th century and I will not subscribe to it. Wow. Because there will be a point she says, but my partner and I growing in different directions and we will pot ways as friends. The ring, she said, is the least spiritual thing that people do in a relationship. You basically imprison the other. And what happens when you put that ring is, you are both now prescribing to a societal construct. The problem with that societal construct is that very often you stay together even when things are off. And that's why so many people in relationships are sad, are disappointed. You and I are both in India. You know what's the divorce rate in India? 3%. Right, divorce isn't bad. But in India, this culture is so tight that so many people in India stay in miserable marriages because they are afraid to divorce because they think divorce is wrong. And I say that because I went through that. I went through that. I thought it was wrong until I started awakening. When I announced my conscious on coupling, it was really interesting. So many Indian and Arab women wrote to me on Instagram and said, thank you for showing us that one can pot ways in a spiritual manner. Because my husband and I have been miserable for years, but we felt guilty getting a divorce. Several wrote to me and said, I've been abused for years, but I couldn't get a divorce. And now I understand that divorce is not bad. So the ring, one of the least spiritual things a human can do. That's from the spiritual teacher I interview. But the most important thing is this. So a couple of years ago, the Indian mystics, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar invited me to India to interview him. And I was interviewing him on stage at this huge event. It was a woman's leadership event. And a lady in the audience asked this mystic, a question, the question was this, what is the best type of relationship to be in? And Sri Sri Ravi Shankar held up his fingers like that. And he said, look at my fingers. In an ideal relationship, you are never moving towards each other. He says, if you do that, you will eventually miss, OK? In an ideal relationship, both of you are steady. You affirm. You have your identity. You have the things in life that you love. And you're moving in parallel. Wow. So he said, never sacrifice or give up your dreams, your goals for your partner, because you will start resenting your partner. And your partner should never do that either. But both of you support each other. So never point it towards each other in parallel with each other. Now, the mistake people make is, as soon as they step into a relationship, they start losing their identity. I want to come back to the GPS point. So you were on point number three on GPS. Right. And so there's immature desire and there's mature desire. Right. And there's a difference. Immature desire, outdated maps of the world. Mature desire is the updated GPS with satellite link. It's the fastest way to get to the goal based on modern maps. It means listening to your soul and getting clarity on what you want. Guarantee there are people listening who are like, my mind says one thing, my heart says another thing. Yeah. That's a misalignment. That's a dysfunctional GPS. So how do you know what your soul is actually craving or desiring? How do you know? It's your soul speaking. There's a concept I really believe in called intuition. And here's the truth about the world. We're building a world where more people are obsessed with AI than obsessed with that still in a voice within. But that in a voice within is what is guided humanity for hundreds of thousands of years. And we need to learn to go back to that in a voice. That in a voice is what can help you identify if something is right. If a relationship is right. If there's something you need to step into, grow into, adjust, pivot, to move into the direction that you want, that inner voice is your ultimate GPS. What a practical way to hear it. Look at that cup that you're holding right now. Hold it up. I learned this technique from Sonya Shokak. She's one of the top intuition teachers in the world. Just observe that cup and be in the moment for a second. Put the patterns on the ceramic, the color, just stay with that. Move your fingers around it, feel it. If you're sitting on a desk, do that with the wood grains on the desk or anything that looks beautiful around you, could be a cup, it could be a curtain, could be the texture of your fabric. Just bring yourself and make yourself connected with present reality. Not a device. Not something electronic. Not a gadget. Because you do this, you actually still your mind, you become present, you're coming into the moment. Now think about the answer that you're seeking and ask yourself, a yes or no question. Should I ask this person out? Yes or no? Should I invest in this talk? Yes or no? Okay. You're going to ask the question and then you're going to simply check in with your heart and you're going to say, or your soul, whatever is more resonant to you, and you're going to say, and my soul says, first response, yes or no. And my soul says, yes or no. If you get three yeses. that's your intuition speaking to you. So that's a simple technique, but it involves quieting the mind. Okay, so if I was doing it, let's say I wanted to know if I should ask this person out. I think about the person. Nobody wants to go on a date that's going to waste their time checking with my soul and I'd say, should I ask this person out? And then I respond, and my soul says yes, and my soul says yes, and my soul says yes, good. I'm going to do it, but we do it, not by prompting chat GPT, but by actually doing the opposite, coming to any object that reminds us of nature, our connection to nature, our connection to life, plants, touching the texture of a plant, the wood grain on a table, these are all things that really give you peace. So ground yourself. Exactly. All these questions, and then you'll be able to hear exactly. Simple yes or no question. Can this be applied to even the micro aspects of life and the macro? Is this just exactly? Yeah. I mean, my story is I built up mind valley because I was I was working in a technology company in Silicon Valley. The dot com bubble had burst. I become homeless. I basically had lost everything. I bought money from my dad to start a company. I had nothing. I was renting a sofa from a college student in Berkeley. So I get this job, and I'm failing at it. I had to call up lawyers in San Antonio, Texas and pitch them on legal case management software. And so many of these lawyers, I'd interrupt them when they are in the middle of the day, and they were pissed. And one day after I was told a f off 13 times, I sank into a depression. So I was googling online, I find this meditation class. I go for the class, and it's all about meditation and listening to intuition. And the class teaches you meditation. They use hypnotherapy. They use all of these techniques to awaken your intuition. I go back to work, start my work on Monday. Now back then we use the yellow pages and you're probably too young to know what the yellow page is. It's an ancient artifact from the year 1990. So we use the yellow pages and I had to call every name and order. We just went the A to Z method. But this time, checked in with my intuition, and my finger down the book. And I would just go, yes or no. Yes or no. Yes or no. All right. Now in this company, every single call was logged, everything was metrics driven, everything was in Microsoft Excel overnight. My sales doubled. Oh, just from that technique lead scoring, who knew with intuition overnight. I double the sales. As I got better at it, I doubled it again. Then I doubled it again. In four months, I got promoted three times. I was made VP of sales at the age of 26. I got so successful at my job using intuition. Wow. That I became the number one performer. And then at the certain point, my intuition told me, you have to leave and start something. And I remember that day. It was New York. The rain was pouring. I was walking with with my den girlfriend and there was this calling. You got to leave. You have to do something on your own. So I asked myself, well, what would I build? And there's this quote by Nelson Mandela that I really love because my mom is a teacher, a retired teacher. The quote is this, if you want to change the world, change education. So I thought, well, no one was teaching intuition. No one was teaching meditation. It wasn't popular then. So I started the simple meditation website called Mind Valley way back in 2003. And that became a company that exploded. Yeah. So it all came from that one moment when you were learning how to figure out your own intuition. Exactly. Because I realized that the expensive degree I had from the University of Michigan, one of the top five engineering schools in the world, that got me to homelessness. I was literally homeless. I could in a fort rent. I was renting a couch, a two-seater couch from a college kid for 200 bucks a month. And I was sleeping on other couches from generous friends in San Francisco and the Bay Area who gave me a place to stay. It was miserable. That was from a university education. Yeah. And it was spiritual education and human. Exactly. Consciousness education. I hope to you. An intuition. Yeah. Right. To get to where you are today. So we talked about the third block, the map. The fort block is the most interesting. That's the driver. Okay. So there's the making model of the car that's your inner identity. Okay. It's your inner identity. Then there is the field that's your environment, your emotions. And then there is the GPS. That is your maps. Are you using, are you chasing something that's actually coming from outside you or are you really listening to your soul and your heart? Remember Steve Jobs said, always listen to your heart and intuition. They somehow already know who you are to become. You know much about Darma. Yeah. I'm a big believer in Darma. This reminds me, when you speak about GPS, all I'm thinking about, all that screaming in my mind is Darma because when you align to your Darma, your Darma protects you. That's where the Vedic philosophy speaks about. You're a wonderful Hindu cash. I believe in that. And I agree with that. But the, the idea being that your Darma is your highest, most authentic, expressed self, serving your highest, most authentic purpose. So it's literally your soul's calling. Right. And when you align to that, you align to universal order. So it very much is in line with this principle of basically listening to your soul. Right. The right GPS essentially. Exactly. So I listen to, so your GPS is giving you a direction. Right. That's your Darma. So I figured out my Darma at an early age, elevate consciousness. So all my companies that were growing consciousness would succeed. Mind Valley went on to do 140 million in revenue a year with no VC money. Because I went to VCs and I thought I was crazy to like meditation. Consciousness, no. But I was incredibly successful. But I tried other companies and I would fail. It's like the universe was saying, nope, this is not your Darma. Your Darma is elevate consciousness. Now recently, my Darma shifted. My Darma right now is end loneliness. So all the projects every single company I'm doing is about connecting people and eradicating loneliness. I want to build a world where no one ever feels lonely. Because loneliness is the biggest pandemic of the modern era. What did we talk about when we started this conversation? You said, this is a pleasure interviewing you because you've introduced me to so many people. That's my Darma. And I see it in everything that you do and what you create. What is that central? It stems from my own inner loneliness. Sometimes I think the suffering that we go through in life are sufferings are the breadcrumbs that can lead us to our Darma. And so you've experienced loneliness in the past? So many times. I was very lonely as a kid. I was very lonely as a teenager. I had skin disease. So growing up, I mean horrible acne. Like really, I remember my mom taking me to dermatologist had to get injections in my face. Growing up in high school, I was called pimple face. I was bullied. I never went on a date until I was maybe 23 or 24. I married my first girlfriend. I had no idea how to communicate with a girl. Like no idea. You know, it was frickin tough cash. So I had to go through that, I don't regret that because all of that made me who I am. But when I grew up, now where I am, I have so many friends. I organize festivals around the world. I'm never lonely. I have kids I love. I have family. I love. I'm so close to my parents. But I see I know people that are so lonely. And it affects everything about their lives. It affects their health. It affects their emotions. And that's what I want to end. So I committed that the next company I'm building. It has to serve this one Dharma loneliness because loneliness saddens me. And when you get to that stage where you're truly lonely, everything else starts plummeting. Happiness goes down. Help goes down. You can't focus on your career. But when you fix that, everything elevates. So I was, I remember talking to Gary Brecker, the longevity guy. We were in a vent together and somebody asked him, what are the two most important things for longevity? And he goes, you know, it's not all of those supplements, not all of those gadgets. It's community and connection to a higher power. But I want to come to the fourth thing of manifesting. And sorry, loneliness gets me every time. Of course. The fourth thing is the driver. You know, when you first start driving a car, you're nervous about everything. You're gripping the wheel. You're constantly looking behind you. You're worried that the mirror isn't perfectly aligned. But after you practice for a while, you just naturally drive. Now in manifesting, this is the difference between forcing and surrender. Remember that quote we started, but the universe doesn't give you what you want. Rather the universe will reflect back to you who you are. Now, if you're a person surrounded by love, you're not needy about love. You don't go into a date going, oh, are they going to like me? Gosh, I hope they like me. Oh, my God. It's on my pants. Okay. I forgot to iron my shirt. When you surrender, you already know you're okay. Surrender is a belief that you're going to be taken care of, that the universe has your back, that what is inevitable will not miss you. And if it misses you, it was never meant to be yours. Now, when that happens, the way you show up when you're meeting someone is different. There's no neediness. There's a confidence. There's a groundedness. You're okay. Even if that person doesn't like you, it means not meant to be. That is the experience driver. So in manifesting, when you put all four of these together, this is when what you're seeking starts coming to you. Palo Quelho in the alchemist said, "Everything that we want is a want of the universe. That which you are seeking is seeking you back. So when you put all four of these together, you start understanding the truth that Quillho so eloquently articulated. You start understanding the truth that the Rumi spoke about when he said, "When I chase after what I want, my life is a furnace of distress and anxiety. But when I sit in my own place of patience, what I need comes to me without any pain. From this I understand that what I seek is seeking me too." There's a great secret in this, for all who wish to understand. Sitting in your own place of patience, that's the experience driver. Not the student worried about the mirror, worried about the guy overtaking him. So putting it all together, if you're seeking the manifest number one, your inner identity, the makin' model of the car on the road trip, okay? And what is inner identity? What do you feel safe going into? If you want to be a CEO, but you're afraid of leading people, your subconscious won't let you get that promotion. You want to start a company, but you don't feel safe handling money. Your subconscious won't let you become a successful entrepreneur. That's inner identity. Not identity, inner identity. Who does your subconscious say you are, okay? That's the makin' model of the car. Number two, your fuel, the space around you, the emotions dwelling within you, the people around you, everything that influences the energy, fuel is energy. That shifts your manifesting. Third, the GPS, whose map are you using? A map that's true to you, or are you going in the direction that your father or mother or culture or media or politicians told you need to drive to with a map from their generation? So know what you want, clarity and an updated map. And the fourth one is going from gripping the wheel to basically turning on autopilot. That's trusting that we live in a benevolent universe and the universe has your back. And that what you seek is seeking you in return. That relationship you want is inevitable. And that for every date you go into, you go in with no neediness. And so you become more charismatic. You become more desire. You become more confident in life is easier. This is how you approach manifesting. We use the example of attracting a soulmate, but you can apply this to money. You can apply this to business. You can apply this to having kids. You can apply this to health. You can apply this to every aspect of your life, the four aspects of a road trip. Have you got any stories that you can share with our audience of using those four when it comes to money? So again, let's go through the framework. First part is inner identity. Do you feel safe acquiring money? Now I realize, when I was five years into my business, I remember it was 2008 and I was struggling. Struggling, right? Because I had a belief, a very common immigrant belief, that if you don't work hard, if you don't work hard for your money, you don't deserve money. The hard work equals success, myth that so many, especially Asian parents, put in our kids. So what happened in 2008 is I recently become a father. My son was one year old and I decided I needed to come back from work a little bit earlier. But that subconscious mind of mine decided, "Ha, you are going back from work an hour earlier to spend time with your kid and that's good, but no money for you." And my business started collapsing because there was a conflict in my belief and I found myself in a situation where I was going to have to like dismantle the business and lay off my staff. And I sank into a depression and what I did was I decided to just go into exploration. I attended events by Khabekar, I flew to San Diego to attend an event by Esther Hicks, amazing. I read books by Neil Donald Walsh, I went on all of these like journeys with world class teachers and at a certain moment, I remember I was sitting in a room, it was a Khabek seminar. He wrote the book sequence of a million in my mind and he put up this rule and he called it the hard work equals money rule. Do you believe that hard work is what requires money? And as soon as he pointed out, I realized, whoa, I was prescribing to an outdated idea. That realization, as soon as I realized, wait a minute, I don't want to subscribe to that anymore. I want to unplug that. Why does that even make sense? That realization shifted everything. In eight months, a business grew 400%. I was trying all of these different things and the next eight months to write it, vice this game, the right people came, the offer started working and mind value was born. So that is in a identity. I suddenly no longer felt that guilt, that hard work equals money. I could make money and be a good father and have time for my baby. Okay. Now we come to number two. So the question to you is, if money is not coming, what do you beliefs about money? Do you believe that you need to work hard? Do you believe that money is the root of all evil? Do you believe that rich people are assholes? If you have any of these beliefs, you're stepping on the break. Number two, fuel. If you want to attract money, are you acting like someone that's abundant? Something really interesting happened over the last ten years. I was running my podcast and I interviewed a lot of financial experts from the mental and spiritual side, Kanhonda, Ramit Sethi and a lot of them said one thing, budgeting and saving will actually slow down your wealth accumulation. Because as soon as you start budgeting and saving, you are telling your brain that money is scarce. Instead what they say is, and I learnt this from a teacher called Rob Reopel, it's called the five bucket model. Okay. So the money that you're making, you have to create a mental model. Okay. So this is fuel because this creates safety, creates the right energy. So what Rob Reopel said is put five jars, you know, put five jars in your room. And these jars represent what you do with your money. So let's say you're earning a salary and we're just going to use a simple number of 10,000. I know that's high for many people, but it's just easy math, okay, 10,000, 5% of that. So 500 goes to charity every month, give, give. A lot of people I know who are becoming incredibly wealthy, they said that because of their Muslim faith or their Christian faith, they donated money and it came back to them. So that's 5%. Now, roughly 20%, you put in long term savings, money that you're putting aside, you can put it in stocks, okay, like index funds. For the time when you need to get your book out, the time when you want to start your company. Okay. So that's 20%. So now we're at 25%, 55% is for your day to day, 10% is investments. This is going to be stock market index funds, property, you want to diversify. But even if you're starting with like a hundred bucks just by an index fund, index funds, they automatically grow by an average of 11% you're on year. And the final 10%, this is where people trip up, it's your luxury gift to yourself, 10% of whatever you earn, you go and you spend it as if you are wealthy. Get the five star hotel, treat yourself and your partner to a glorious five-course French meal. What are you telling your mind? I'm wealthy. Yeah. So notice, you are saving, but you're not saving for hard times, you're saving for the business you're going to start. So that's how you shift your emotional energy around money, the five buckets model. So I remember when I was first starting out, I learnt this from Rob Reopell and I used this technique really powerful. Okay. But now we come to the GPS, so the GPS is the map. So now you ask yourself, what are the rules about money that maybe are false? And so this, you want to examine everything about whether you want to be in a job, whether you want to start a business, whether you want to go and invest in a particular type of training. So you want to look at what are outdated rules that everyone else is following, not going anywhere. And what are the rules that the wealthiest people are doing, right? And the wealthiest people, they build businesses, they invest in stocks, they invest in their own self-growth. Okay. So those are important rules. One of the most important things you can do is put money aside. So in addition to that five buckets, you can create another bucket, another five percent, take it out from whatever you feel is less relevant and put that as a self growth investment. So you're learning new rules, making money is about learning new rules about money. Rules of passive income, rules of investment, rules of starting a business, rules of getting a promotion, rules of communication because that's a meta skill that helps you grow everything else. So GPS and then the final thing is the driver. Are you nervous about it or are you acting and reacting to the world in a way where you know the universe has your back? Because if you show up for an investor pitch and you're nervous about it, they smell that. But if you show up knowing, you're going to get that money, even if it's not this investor that someone else that confidence makes a difference. If you're building a business and you're employing people and you're nervous about hitting targets about the business shutting down, your employees are secretly looking for a new job. But if you're confident, you can articulate the vision, you know where we are going. It's a different feeling. So the fourth thing is the driver. Do you trust that it's going to work out? One of the reasons why I told you all my businesses are going to be focused on eradicating loneliness is because I so believe that if I focus on my dorm, it's going to work out. I'm creating that trust for myself that trust now shows up whenever I'm in a meeting with my team of over 150 people. So these four ways are how you can bring this model together for manifesting money. Number one, okay, to make a model of the car. What your inner beliefs about rich people that are hijacking you? Number two, emotions like are you buying? are you doing for hard times because you're nervous about that? Are you using the five bucket model? Are you giving money away? Because you feel good about the energy of money. Third, the maps, what maps are you following? Are you studying, learning, investing, entrepreneurship, all the skills that can make money? And number four, do you feel it's inevitable? And are you able to walk in trust? - You know, it's so funny you say this, because I remember at one point in my company, we were getting stuck at a certain revenue. And everything I was doing just wasn't really shifting things. And I was really reflecting really hard. I was thinking, what do I need to do differently? And I was praying for it as well. I was thinking, what do I need to do differently in order to basically double our revenue? And the thing that came to mind was, we need a system in order to donate to a cause that appeals to my soul. And so I found this charity called Food for All in London. And it's run by monks. And these monks basically pray over the food. And so they energize the food. And then they serve it to all the homeless people in London and they go to Ukraine and currently they're in Venezuela because of the earthquake going on. They're basically just serving as much as they can. And it's entirely volunteer lead. And you have access to the financials. And for me, that was like, okay, this is something that I can get behind and truly serve. And so I told the team and I basically told my assistant that whenever we're doing payroll, I want you to ensure that you donate X amount depending on the revenue that we're making and just give it to this charity without any questions. And it really aligns with this model as you were speaking because it was initially me feeling safe with myself conscious about giving away money. And then it was the emotions that were attached to it, which was like, oh, I want to give. I want to operate from love. Like it was a very, it was a shift in my emotional state. And then the third being your GPS. Like it was my Dharma to serve. So it was me aligning to a soul calling. And then finally, just surrendering and accepting that, I think that this is the thing that is going to help us get to the next level. I don't know for sure. I don't know logically if it's going to make sense, but I just trust that it will. And I'll business doubled. Wow. And so this model really does make sense in my head when you're speaking about it. I'm curious to know though, where do affirmations come into this? Oh, that's very interesting, right? So I went deep into the work of Jose Silva, the mind science pioneer of the 50s, 60s. He basically built up the American personal growth movement, trained 10 million people. And he said affirmations don't work. Instead, he used a different model called positive statements. The model I use isn't an adaptation of that called lofty questions. Let me explain, okay? Here's why affirmations don't work. We're going to go back to the first big group of blocks in our identity. Every time you state an affirmation, you're stating it not to your conscious mind to your subconscious. But if your subconscious feels unsafe with you getting the thing, it will not do anything. So for example, your affirmation is, why am I in such a beautiful relationship? Your subconscious mind is going, no, the last relationship you are in, you felt so trapped and you were constantly angry at your spouse. No, not making that happen. Another affirmation might be, I have tons of money. I have a million dollars in the bank account. Your subconscious is going, well, remember that rich uncle we had who was such an asshole and would like bully you? Why not making you rich? 'Cause you're going to be an asshole. So what you want to do is, you want to give your subconscious respect. Our subconscious keeps us alive. Our subconscious job is what to keep us safe. So rather than make a declarative statement, you ask a question. A question gets your subconscious going, "Hmm, I need to look into this. I need to find a way." Now these are called lofty questions. You don't say, I have a million dollars in the bank account. You say, why do I have a million dollars in the bank account? Why am I in such a committed relationship? Why do I have to fit muscular body of an athlete? Why am I so calm and confident? Why am I so effective in meetings? Why am I such a brilliant marketer? You're not making a statement that makes your subconscious go, uh-uh, not safe. You're making a statement that makes your subconscious go, hmm, okay, let me look into that. Let me try to understand how to get there. And lofty questions are the most powerful way to reshape your inner identity. I've thought this technique to millions of people and the results that we see, unbelievable. Now here's the nuance. You can say it at the waking state, but the best time to say it is in the time of meditation. 'Cause when you're meditating, your brain is in a hypnogogic state where whatever you command is more easily accepted into your subconscious. Jose Silva found this. There's a particular brainwave state where this works well is the alpha level of mind, right? Measureable by an EEG device. And when are you in the alpha level of mind when you wake up in the morning? First five minutes after you wake up, your brainwaves, normal brainwaves, beta level, operating 14 to 21 cycles per second. When you wake up, it's at the alpha, which is seven to 12 cycles per second. First five minutes when you wake up, after you brush your teeth, use the lube, sit in your bed, and just relax and give yourself these lofty questions. That's what I do every day. Why do I have to fit muscular body in that lead? Why is my skin getting better and better every day? Why does my body heal and rejuvenate itself when I sleep? Why am I in the most amazing relationship? Why do I have such a great relationship with my daughter and my son? Why am I such an incredible entrepreneur? Why am I so good at being on podcast? You know, whatever it is that you want to manifest and watch what happens. Wow. Your belief system will literally start shifting. Look, I've interviewed a thousand people. I've published over a hundred of the world's top programs in wellness, personal growth, and manifesting. This is the most powerful technique I've learned. To ask lofty questions. The most effective, the most powerful, and it's free. How long should we be asking those questions for? So I ask myself 27 questions every morning. I've committed them to memory. You don't have to be that extreme. You can start with five. And you only ask it once, once a day. Do you meditate just before? I relax. It is a meditation. It's a form of active meditation, like what Jose Silva or Oshawa's teaching, a form of active meditation, where you're in a relaxed alpha level of mind that you're giving your brain and your subconscious something to solve. Okay, so you just sit down, you breathe slowly, you ground, and then you start asking those questions. Exactly. Exactly. And you do that five minutes. If you have five questions, you're doing it in 20 seconds. Really, it's as simple as that. Wow, once, just ask once. When it comes to these lofty questions, I'm wondering, is it always a why, or can it also be like a how? I like to start with a why. Okay, I like to start with a why. I think how puts you in too much of an analytical. Why? I believe it's easier. And you can put it into anything, any part of your life. Exactly. So example, for healing, why is my body healing and rejuvenating itself as I sleep? For social life, why do I have so many friends and such close friendships with them? Family, why am I so close to my mom and dad to my kids? Money, why do I have avalanches of abundance, raining gown on me for all my dreams, desires, and intentions? I love that one for work. Why do I solve all problems that come my way in a fun and easy way for freedom? Why do I have the capacity to take Fridays off every week and study things I'm passionate about? Okay, this is really helpful. Where do you see God coming into manifesting? So I believe in God. I, one in the Hindu family, grew up in a Muslim country. I was baptized as a Christian when I got married to my girlfriend, my first girlfriend who was Estonian. God is a big part of my life. But I used to be skeptical about God until I had a strange experience where I experienced an instant healing during a moment to prayer. So this was one of the most profound experiences I've ever had. Now, I'd spent years teaching people meditation. And one of the things that we teach in the silver method is how to go, it's an 18-hour program called silver altramine. We teach you how to go to the alpha, then theta level of mine. And when you're there, we teach you how to command your body, to heal. Okay, and it's been proven by science. For example, I healed my skin. I had a lot of acne, five years skin disease. I healed it in five weeks using silver, using the creative visualization technique that was a silver pioneer. And you command that to your subconscious and three minutes, three times a day, five weeks, healed my skin, okay? Silver altramine, just full disclosure. When Jose Silver died, the family asked me to be the face of it. And now I teach the program online. That was good. But the most remarkable healing I happened was when I was directly praying to Christ's energy. And it wasn't in meditation. It was using psilocybin mushrooms. So there are four ways we can access altered states of mind. Okay, now altered states of mind were a natural part of life. There was an anthropologist called Erica Boginiel. In 1973, she did a study and she found that 70% of all indigenous cultures have an altered state practice. The Native American Indians would gather around a campfire that would be dancing, martial arts, meditation. But then the modern Western world said all of that is wrong, unless you can prove it by science. But the science only started coming in in 2010. In 2009, studies in meditation took went through an exponential rise. And now we're seeing that in studies on breathwork, astral projection, right? So there are four ways to go to an altered state. And this is the secret. This is when you can talk to your subconscious and heal your body. All right, now it's meditation, breathwork, neural training, which is devices, most expensive, least effective, and then finally, plant medicine. So I was experimenting with mushrooms 'cause I experiment with altered states that's part of my practice. I was doing mushrooms and I was experiencing at that point a severe shoulder injury from years of martial arts. And I needed to go for surgery to get a bit of the muscle in my shoulder. are like sliced out, because I could not move my hand without paying, and I'd had this for two or three years. So I'm on mushrooms and all of a sudden I don't pray much, but I suddenly have this feeling of Christ's consciousness of Jesus, and I talk to Jesus and I tell Christ's consciousness would you help me with my shoulder. So at this point I'm meditating in bed, and all of a sudden I feel like something is touching my shoulder, like little pricks, 20 minutes, I'm just there, feeling this, and I feel it's all in my imagination, and as the trip is winding down, I move my hand and there's no pain. So I'm thinking, okay, this is pretty cool, I probably reprogrammed my brain to shut off the pain receptors, but I probably still have the injury. Now months pass, the pain doesn't come back. Now every year I go to New York, and I go to this particular gym where they use a machine called ARX and you test your strength, okay? And typically every part of my musculature, my strength grows by three to five percent. When I tested my shoulders, my shoulder strength had increased a hundred and fifty percent. It was wild, a hundred and fifty percent. What did I experience? Yeah, this was when I tested my shoulders. So what was that? So I don't know how to explain this. Was I talking to my body? It's Christ's consciousness real? I don't know if you can prove this by science, but I can only share what I experience. And now every time I need to heal an aspect of my beingness, I either go into deep meditation or I facilitate it with a dosage of psilocybin, and I pray. And I've experienced things cash, where even eyesight, I was diagnosed, I needed to wear glasses. This was October, 2021. Walk up the next thing my eyesight was perfectly healed. I've experienced this over and over and over again. And this is one of the ways, this is my greatest longevity hack, psilocybin while praying to Christ. I just tested my biology and my health markers showed that I'm fifty, but I have the body of a thirty-year-old. There are people who are going to be listening to this who still disagree with the concept, but what would you have to say to that? Listen, if you disagree, I can tell you what I experience. I'm not trying to explain it. If you disagree, and certainly I'm not trying to advocate a particular religion, I practice all religions. My book is called Buddha and the Badass. I grew up in a Muslim country. I practiced Sakat. I prayed to Christ consciousness. I was raised as a Hindu, so I believe in Dharma. I believe in Kabbalah, which comes from Jewish tradition. I love the beauty of religion. Religion is different from dogma. I do not believe in any aspect of organized religion that says we are different from other people. I do not believe in any aspect of organized religion that says you must only marry people of your religion, that your people are more important than other people, that only your God is right. Religion is like food to me. I want to taste everything, because everything leads to one thing, nutrition of the soul. So whether you pray to Christ, or you pray to Ganesh, or you pray to Allah, or you pray to Yahweh, or you pray to Buddha, it doesn't matter. But I believe at this point, based on the evidence I've seen that there is something far greater than us, and signs may never explain it. But because of what I've seen, I'm going to keep using it. The ancient Egyptians did not know what the sun was. They thought it was the God raft lying across the sky, but they still used the sun for navigation, for want, they used the sun for heat. So just because we don't understand how something works doesn't mean we can't use it. You go through life operating on a very practical material level, building companies, getting into relationships, whatever. But then you think from an alternative perspective in every single way, we've discussed manifestation, we've discussed your relationship with God. I'm curious to know what's the thing that you believe in your heart that we haven't discussed yet, that you feel as a belief that is alternative, that everyone should understand or believe that could shift every part of their reality. Therefore believes in the spiritual field, that signs can no longer ignore. Now the reason we dismiss so many things in spirituality, is because when we enter the rational age, people who at the rational level of mind confuse free rational spirituality with post-rational. Pre-rational spirituality is the spirituality before the 19th century, right? Burning bush, like magical trees and rocks and all of that stuff. But since the 1990s, there's been a new approach to spirituality that's been studied, documented at universities around the world. That's called post-rational. That's where we are studying intuition, it's been proven real, meditation, the placebo effect. So post-rational spirituality is what I'm excited about. Now, there was a book created by a guy called Dean Radden, he's a PhD and he wrote a book called The Conscious Universe and it's all about the science, he did the meta-analysis of all of these different studies on spirituality and he said, "There are four things we can't ignore. One is human intuition, another is the ability for the mind to heal the body, the third is out of body experiences and the fourth is reincarnation. There have been so many crazy studies and moments of evidence on reincarnation that we have to stop pretending that it is just a subject of religion. One of the most amazing books on it is Journeys of the Soul by Michael Newton. So he's a hypnotherapist and by the way, hypnotherapists can hypnotize someone and get them to go back and remember, you know, moments when they were a child but you can go beyond that and remember moments when you were in the womb and you can go beyond that and remember moments in a past life but also moments when you were a soul in between lives. So Michael Newton's work, he wasn't looking at the past lives, he was looking at what was happening in the life between the life and what he found is that there is a whole ecosystem of conscious beings, angels, there is such a place called heaven that the great religious texts have been describing and we are souls in between our human lives and we are often assigned into soul schools and we have soul circles where we are literally learning with other souls but we are also assigned to watch over the bravest souls, the ones who come to earth in a human body. And Michael Newton said one thing in his book that left me with chills, he said, I've come to believe based on my research that every single person has a guardian angel. So I believe in my view of reality is this, I don't care about longevity, I'm healthy but I have no fear of death because I believe that's solidly in reincarnation. I believe that when I die I get to come back as anyone I want in any timeline in history. In the spiritual world time is not chronological. You can die in 2017 and decide to come back in the 11th century but I also believe that I have a guardian angel. I believe that that energy that healed my shoulder that was coming from somewhere. So every time I feel lost, even in the middle of the night and I'm feeling stressed and I can't sleep, I ask my guardian angel, hey, could you help soothe my energy and help me sleep? The reason I believe I've been lucky in this world is because I don't walk this world alone. I walk this world with what I believe is an energy of the universe that I can ask helpful that I can speak to but the thing is all of us have that every single person listening to this podcast as a guardian angel, but when was the last time you spoke to that guardian angel? When was the last time you asked it for help? When was the last time you decided to believe in something beyond you and ask for support? You see here's the secret. They can only help when you ask. They can't interfere. That was the secret that was revealed by this hypnotherapist. That is the secret that's been released by many, many, many mystics. The idea between Dean Radden's work, Michael Newton's work, is that this world is such a beautiful illusion. Death is not real. Reincarnation is reality. Time is an illusion, but when you put all of these together and you stack it, you also sought to understand something. If we can get reincarnated into any epoch, you cash, could also exist not just in the 11th century and in 2070, but there could be a cash soul that is alive on the planet today, maybe in China, maybe in Africa, maybe in the US. Think about that. Could you be reincarnated in the same time period? So kneeled on a watch and other great spiritual teacher that I got to know and spent time with, wrote about this in a book of his called Home with God, which is a book on what life after death. And he said, and here's the interesting thing, yes, you can be reincarnated in the same timeline in a different place. In fact, you are, you are reincarnated nine billion times right now. What? You see, every soul is part of you. You are God atomized and when you understand that, that every soul is part of you, that the person in China could be you in a past life. Why would you ever go to war? Why would you ever hurt another person? Why would you ever tolerate a homeless person on the street? I cried earlier because I suddenly, when I was speaking about loneliness, I remembered I was coming out of the subway a few weeks ago and I saw this homeless guy and I started to sit next to him. I just bought some blueberries and yogurt and I started to give him the blueberries and yogurt and I was just listening to a story and it was so sad. How can we tolerate that type of thing in the world? When you start understanding this truth, you start understanding that the only true reality is that we are all particles of God, experiencing a shared illusion and therefore the only thing that matters is are we going to be there for each other because you and me, we are the same. just like you and every single person out there, just like you and that ex that you might hate, just like you and the person who votes politically different from you, just like you and the homeless bum passed out on the street. That's why loneliness is such a bullshit myth. It's a construction of modern human civilization that we have to fix. So when I say unloneliness, I'm not talking about just human to human, talking about human to God, human to angels, human to other forces that we cannot yet see with our eyes. That's where I believe the world needs to move to. How do you define love? I think love is basically the pure essence of the soul. Souls are fragments of a higher of God. Love are those fragments coming together and supporting each other. So I think love is one of the most amazing things. I start every day with a Zen-Roshim meditation, which is a compassion practice where I connect to a higher power. I feel the love come to me and then I take that love and I beam it all across the world. Starting with my children, then my family, then my friends, then my customers and my community, and then the city I'm in London, and then the entire continent of Europe, then the entire world. And because of that, I feel like a citizen of the world, I cannot accept any politician, any viewpoint that said that we are better than others. Right now, as we host this, as we do this podcast, I have refugees staying in one of my homes. I'm launching social media campaigns to help support immigrants who are being villainized by right-wing politicians. And I'm writing an article about the audacity of stupidity that I witness at Mar-a-Lago in a dinner where I met Trump. Division is the most useful tool of politicians with no vision. And that's one of the things that I think we need to fight in the world. Oh, that's so true. As we record this in Brexit, think about what Nigel Farage did to this country, the lies, the bullshit. He got many people over 50 to vote for Brexit, which has hurt the UK so bad. I was recently speaking at an AI conference at the house of comments. And the comments that got the biggest applause was we must rejoin the EU. I hope that happens soon because our destiny is to become more and more deeply connected with each other. As people, as cities, as countries, as nations. That is love. Love is the great re-joining. And love is also something that is so vilified and dramatized and we're told it's painful, but it's really just re-joining. You say, "Stop trying to be spiritual." Yeah. Can you explain on that? We are soul-seving a human experience, right? A soul came to this body to experience being human. When you die, you're going to get all these spiritual exposure you need. So I believe it is often unnecessary to start chasing these spiritual experiences. If you look at the works of great writers, they say the same thing. Esther Hicks and her famous series of books, she was asked, "If being human is so hard, why do souls become human?" And Esther goes, "Because human being human is the most delicious thing a soul can experience." Especially, she said, "Sex." Why do we dramatize it so much? Nailed on a watch and conversations with God, there's a paragraph where he said, "Stop trying to discover the secrets of life, the secrets of spirituality, the secrets of the soul. All of these are secrets for a reason. You will soon figure it out. Instead live life and say, in that same paragraph, he says, "And say, I love money, I love food, I love abundance, I love love, I love sex." He says, "These are all human things that we are made to feel guilty about." But this is what souls are here for. Souls are here to discover all of the beautiful things that God created in the universe. So what do you think the purpose of your life is? I get really annoyed when I hear about people who want to go and put themselves in a seven-day retreat where they close their eyes and they live in darkness. I'd rather spend those seven days with my daughter and my son camping out in a desert in a beautiful place like in Alula, looking at the rocks around us, staring at the stars, laughing, riding our bikes, our electric bikes through the desert stand. I think that human experience is far more valuable than spending seven days in meditation because it keeps us connected, not just to the people who matter, but it keeps us connected to why we are here, to truly feel aligned with the universe. That's why I say stop trying to be spiritual because so many spiritual people are so fricking pretentious. No, you're absolutely right. I came from a very dogmatic background as a reality. As a monk, you're forced to be very regimented, which was completely valid for all the monks there, but then outside of that I was still stuck in a dogmatic spiritual view of life. And then you opened up my mind. It was you who actually-- What did I say? It was just being with you. Our friendship is what opened up my mind in spirituality. It shifted how I viewed God, how I viewed the world, how I viewed people. It just opened up my mind in so many ways. Well, that idea actually came from MLK. MLK had a great quote on power and love. Think of power as the physical world. I think of love as this essence of spirituality we've been speaking about. So I wrote a book called The Buddha in the Bad As. And this idea of the Buddha in the Bad As comes from this MLK quote in what he said is this, "Power without love is corrupt and abusive. But love without power is sentimental and weak. You need power and you need love. You need the Buddha and you need the Bad As. You can't just be spiritual and sitting on your yoga mat when the kids dying in Gaza. You've got to step up and do something. We need people who are Buddha, bad asses, who can tap into the spiritual core that we're all born with and use it in a powerful way to make the world better. That is when you're really following your Dharma. We think of our spiritual sages from Moses to Jesus to Padmasambhava as people just sitting under a building tree. But they were not. They were all fighting for something. The most spiritual people in the world were spiritual because they understood the power of love, the power of forgiveness. But like Martin Luther King, like Gandhi, like Mamdani in New York right now, they are fighting to make the world greater for millions of people." And that's it. It's the integration. And that's what you embody. When it comes to integration, what does that look like day-to-day on a practical level? The most important thing? Meditation. Just sitting still. The most important thing is in the morning when you start your day, meditation or breath work. Both of those things help you step into an altered state. That altered state gives you a different understanding and awareness of the world and yourself. And with that understanding, you shift and grow in amazing ways. There are so many people feeling lonely right now who are just getting sick of what's going on with the day things in. They're like, there's not any good men. There's the men are saying there's not any good women. What do you have to say on that? Well, dating is broken. But it's also broken because of the paradox of choice. Today, the average person on a dating app is seeing 20, 30 pictures a day. In one day, you see more possibilities than your parents saw in the entire lifetime. So true. And this creates this weird idea that, oh, there's always going to be someone better coming along. Oh, I need to find the perfect match. But this is the trap. This is the problem. I believe my mom and dad were destined to meet. I believe in soulmates. And I think the issue with more than dating is it gets you thinking of love like a lottery. You always want to put one more coin in that machine. You always want to keep it becomes becomes an addiction. I'm not saying get off dating apps. I'm saying be selective about it. But also be open if someone asks you out in the van and they don't seem like a bad person. There's nothing wrong with actually going and having an interaction because you will learn something about yourself. You will learn something about them. But also if you do find someone that seems to fit, don't fall into that trap of going, oh, if I commit something better, might come along. No, you commit and you make it better. So what's the item and give it down method? Oh, so that comes from a book by Dem Zeeland, a book called Reality Transurfing. So what Dem Zeeland was a quantum physicist in Russia. And based on his work, he became convinced that they are multiple universes. But he also became convinced that every action we make creates a branch in the universe. You can move between these branches. You can slide into a new reality. So he calls it literally sliding into a reality. So you can slide into a reality where you're healthy, a slide into a reality where you're with the person you love sliding to a reality where you have a successful company. But the secret is this. Every time you create a great want for that reality, the universe has to rebalance to want with an opposite force. So wanting doesn't get you there. Instead, you create a non-critical desire. It's called the I don't give a damn method. You go, you know, it would be nice if I had that relationship. But if it doesn't happen, I'm good. It would be nice if I had that business. You don't never want to cling to something or wanting badly. Always feel that you're good, even if you don't get it. That's the no big deal method. If someone listening right now is thinking about they want to see their soulmate, you obviously have the full step method which you went through in the beginning. But I'm curious to know, is there any alternative view that you would have where someone who wishes to attract their soulmate now? What would you say to them? So here's what I do. Firstly, trust, trust. Know what you want, this type of relationship where you want to live, the parameters, children, no children. Know know what you want to be clear on that clarity map. Neil Donald Walsh in his book on manifesting. He wrote 19 books, but one of the most important lines in his book is this, the master doesn't change their mind. They know what they want and they stick to it, especially to be dating. We keep changing our mind. Know what you want and then show intent to the universe. What we mean by so intent, don't just sit in the couch and hope that it's going to happen. Ask people out, get on dating apps, go on lots of dates, but when you go into every single day, don't go in with the neediness like you need it to happen. Do the no big deal method. Step in with the possibility of seeing what arises and allow the right person to come to you. You're maximizing your odds of success. So I had a friend who was one of the top growth hackers in Silicon Valley. Being a growth hacker, she applied principles of growth hacking, which is when you build up an app to lots of users to dating. She decided to go on three dates every week for 10 weeks straight. So she did that three dates every week for 10 weeks straight and asked her what happened. She goes, well, I had some boring evenings. I had some funny things. I met some people who were interesting. I've met some people whom, you know, I didn't really want to be around. I learned a ton about myself and I made a lot of friends and I go, so it failed. She goes, those 30 dates didn't meet anyone. But two weeks after that, I met the man that I am now married to, two weeks after that. I ask her, what do you think this means? She said, when you have the goal, you have to put in the effort to show the universe your intent. You know, when it comes to relationships, there's this whole theme about self-love. What are your thoughts on self-love when it comes to attracting us all, mate? I think if you don't have self-love, you have a massive problem. Like everything else, you've got to hit pause until you have that self-love. Got to make it. You got to work on that first. How does someone build self-love? You build self-love by understanding the power of forgiveness. Many people practice forgiveness on other events, other people. But we often forget to practice forgiveness on ourselves. We often still carry the burden of mistakes we made and so on. Here's a simple example. You're hiking on a trail and your friend trips. You're hiking with a friend, your friend trips. You don't go to your friend and go, oh, you're so stupid. You should have seen that root. Why did you trip? But if we're hiking on a trail by ourselves and we trip, that's our self-talk. Oh, I'm so stupid. I should have seen that root. We talk to ourselves worse than we talk to. Friends, self-love means you understand where you came from, you understand your human and you speak to your mind, your body, your soul, your heart, almost like you would talk to your child. And a great practice to do that is forgiveness. We all make mistakes. Forgive yourself for the bad choices. Forgive yourself for the failed investment. Forgive yourself for that time you broke your health. Forgive yourself for that. And when you do that, self-love starts to grow. So I've found forgiveness to be the most powerful tool for radiating and expanding on self-love. If someone was being born into this world right now in this very moment in front of you, with everything that you've learned today, what's the one piece of a wisdom that you would wish that they learn and embody going into this life? You are not alone. You are connected to powers far greater than you imagine. You're surrounded by angels. And every human being in the world is a part of you and a part of life. I mean, you start seeing life from this lens of connectedness. So many doors are going to open to you. Thank you so much, Vision. Thank you, Cash. How can people find out more about you? Summary:

In this conversation, Vishen Lakhiani challenges conventional manifesting advice, arguing that the law of attraction is "punk" because the universe reflects your identity, not your desires. He introduces the law of resonance, where your subconscious only allows what feels safe, so changing your inner identity is key. Using a road trip analogy, he outlines four manifesting blocks: inner identity (the car model), fuel (emotions and environment), GPS (outdated rules vs.

soul’s calling), and driver (surrender over forcing). "—to bypass subconscious resistance, and the five-bucket money model to shift scarcity beliefs.

FAQs

The law of attraction is considered outdated. The law of resonance states that the universe reflects back to you your identity, not what you want. To attract something, you must become that person in your mind.

The four blocks are inner identity (the model of the car), fuel (your emotions and environment), GPS (your maps or rules), and the driver (your ability to surrender and trust). Each corresponds to a key aspect of a road trip and must be aligned for manifestation.

Affirmations don't work because your subconscious may not feel safe with the statement, so it rejects it. Instead, use lofty questions, like 'Why do I have a million dollars?' which prompt your subconscious to find ways to make it happen.

This method involves having a non-critical desire. You want something, but you're okay if it doesn't happen. This reduces the resistance from the universe, allowing you to slide into a reality where you get what you want without neediness.

The five-bucket model involves dividing your income: 5% for charity, 20% for long-term savings, 55% for daily expenses, 10% for investments, and 10% for luxury gifts to yourself. This shifts your energy from scarcity to abundance.

First, forgive all exes to clear trauma. Second, create space in your life, like making room in your closet and having two bedside tables. Third, know what you want and use updated maps, not societal rules. Finally, surrender and trust that the right person will come without neediness.
