Connor and Riley's Dancing with the Stars debut is a powerful blend of high-stakes performance, personal vulnerability, and emotional growth. The episode begins with a reflective tone, emphasizing Connor’s journey from being a "wild card" to a confident, authentic performer. Despite early struggles during rehearsals—marked by missed beats, physical discomfort, and technical errors—Connor and Riley execute a strong live performance, navigating a chaotic set with a live band, stairs, and a hat, all while managing intense performance anxiety. The moment of failure during the actual dance, including a slip and a near-miss with the choreography, is candidly shared, revealing the raw nerves and pressure of live television. However, the performance is ultimately praised by judges, who reward their chemistry, effort, and execution. A key emotional thread explores Connor’s personal journey, including his deep connection with Riley, and a humorous but revealing moment where a miscommunication about having "no partner" surfaces, later clarified as a playful sports reference. The episode also critiques the show’s voting system, noting its geographical bias and lack of accessibility for fans outside the East Coast. Ultimately, the performance is celebrated not just for its execution but for its emotional authenticity, highlighting the bond between the duo and their journey from uncertainty to confidence. The narrative blends humor, vulnerability, and personal insight, making it both entertaining and deeply human.
[MUSIC] Are you ready? This is going to be a good one. Are you ready? Yeah. [MUSIC] I'm like, I'm like, oh, sorry. I can't put like, to me, this is like the start of something new, because like, now I'm podcasting with like a cast member of my favorite show. [LAUGH] And I feel like crazy. >> Hi guys, welcome back to Working Corner, Makeup Podcast. [LAUGH] Yeah, we're in a different studio today because we had to schedule, the scheduling has been just. Well, we had to recap Nights 1 and 2 of the ballroom. And we couldn't do that with our regularly scheduled programming. So we are recording on a different day, which brings us to a different studio. >> Right. >> Totally fine. >> Right. >> Anything, literally anything, anything for DWS. >> That's so fun. >> Like genuinely. >> Yeah, not to actually shift gears into a dancer, the star's podcast. >> That is what it is, that's what it's going to be for the time being. >> Sometimes things are out of your control. >> This is the Dancing with the Stars Recap Podcast. >> We have tried. >> Welcome to the Dancing with the Stars Recap Podcast, starring Connor Wood and his co-host. >> [LAUGH] >> My partner. >> And, and his partner in double-centred. >> Good. [LAUGH] >> Which we'll get into all that. >> We're gonna unpack all of that. >> Yeah, things you can look forward to in this episode, shit like that. >> Yeah, we're gonna, yeah, you think we're gonna leave it in the box. No, we're unpacking it. >> I wanna, but I wanna take us back way before that. >> Sure. >> I guess I kind of wanna take us back to just, I mean, you freaking made your national TV. Well, I guess you were on Good Morning, Lauren. >> When did we do this? We did this, when did the last time we recorded this podcast? >> Well, it's last week. >> Here, right? >> Yeah. >> Yeah, but I'm just saying you made- >> Oh, on TV. >> Yes, since we recorded this podcast, you've made your debut. >> Sure. >> On like a massive platform on national television, excluding your appearance on Good Morning America. >> Yeah. >> Your TV star, beloved by the nation. >> The young, it is sweeping the young nation. >> You've completely swept inside of the hearts of the young nation since we last spoke. How does it tell me how that feels? [LAUGH] >> We just see a lot of flicking the beans of the young nation. Wait. >> You can see. >> Okay. >> You're yourself just because you flicked the beans of the young nation. >> All right. Let's screw it. >> Yeah. >> Yeah, I did it. [LAUGH] >> Yeah, I did it. And I don't care who knows it. >> You're like, okay, just very quickly, how are you feeling? >> There's no time to- >> There's no time. >> There's no time to talk. You'll have to email me. >> I feel like you haven't even been on your phone. You've been on your phone a lot. >> What are you? Yeah. >> Oh, I just feel like even view my Instagram stories. >> No, we're probably having one of those things where it's just like, it's not coming up. It's not coming across my desk first. >> Yeah, I'm already shadow band to the guy. >> Wait. >> Wait. >> I'm completely like, wait. >> First double tennis now, shadow band. >> No, that was out of my control. Should we just do that first, that part first? >> Double tennis? >> Yeah. >> Stop doing it, tell us. Okay, so number one, yeah, no, ever. >> Tell them what happened. >> Well, they don't know. >> Let's just do the whole thing. >> Well, we'll just start in that when that comes chronologically, we can do that. >> I'm the horrible for the people that are tuning in for the first time for an organized chronological recap. >> Yeah, okay. If you're tuning in for the first time, first of all, welcome, we're a shoes off household. >> Yeah. >> No, we're not. >> Leave your shoes on. >> Do whatever you want. We're a do whatever you want, household, but some people might take off their shoes sometimes and they might fiddle with their toes. >> If they want. >> I might be. >> Ravianas. >> Yeah, I have a flip-flops on today. You got to put yourself first. Also, people like, so Havianas are coming back in. I do want to say I was, I was on the forefront of the Havianas Renaissance and the flip-flops are coming back in. It may be uncomfortable for you, but that has nothing to do with me. Completely. >> I totally agree. >> I think you can wear jeans and Havianas now or maybe even some pants. >> I think so too. I also think you have nice feet in terms of the kind of feet that men have, so I think you have some leeway. >> Thanks. I appreciate it. >> Yeah. >> For so long, I had been in foot jail because I wouldn't allow myself to be out in public because truly since college, actually, since I busted my toe. >> Oh, yeah. >> Remember when I busted my toe and then I go to class, I could only wear Havianas flip-flops on my left foot. My left foot and they had wrapped up almost in like a cartoonish way, my bloody toe because I about sit it open, and I remember getting on Yik-Yak if you know, you know, and this girl that was definitely in my class, I was like, there's this disgusting guy that only wears one flip-flop and his toe is bleeding every day. >> I was like, baby, do you think I'm putting my bloody toe into a slip-on checkerboard van? >> No. >> No, no. >> I'm willing, but I'm unable. >> Completely. >> And so I had this big like, genuinely, it looked like when Tom would drop like an Ann Villangeri's toe and it would go, boom, boom, boom, that's like my toes. >> I'm sure you're going to get some more busted toes as the season goes on. >> Yeah. Such as, in addition to when I, the night before the premiere. I think we should start chronologically. >> Okay. >> All right. >> Take us back to the night before the premiere, how you were feeling during rehearsals, et cetera, and shit like that. >> Okay. I'll just say, like, we've been in, even when we were like, not announced yet, that's when we were going to the studio every single day, and I had to wear this freaking Addison Ray >> Take us back to the vise. >> Vise or mask every day, driving in, and I do want to also really quickly say, like, if the, everyone's like, oh, they leaked, like, why do they even do that? I was undercover, I don't know who, the whisperings of like me being on it was definitely someone in the industry. >> It was not me. >> I mean, yeah, you were good, and you were like first to know. But I was so good, because I was mostly, because I was like, I know people are going to be like, and who is that, you know, like, wild card? It's okay to have a wild card. It's fun. >> It's okay to be the wild card. >> It's okay to be the wild card, and I want to touch on being the wild card. Things, your expectations is a beautiful place to live. >> Yeah. >> Not an athlete, never claimed to be one. Do you know the answer to that? Never said I did. >> You can only exceed expectations. >> This is what I said last week, I think, they had a lot to lose by having me on. I had only gain, you know. >> Yeah, you can only meet or exceed. >> Yeah, and I wanted to like, because I knew people were going to be like, and why did we do that with this young man? And I want to be like, I'm going to show you. >> Yeah. >> And show us all you did. >> I'm going to prove to you that I'm in there every day working my took us off. But anyways, we were showing up every day. It was 115 degrees. I didn't get into my hot card and they made me wear a hoodie, cover my face, and then the visor, and it was, and sweats. So I was just like, for instance, sweat pulling in, finally, do Moa leaks, Conorwood leaked. And I was kind of like, you know, a party, he was like, I'm on do Moa. >> Yeah. >> Yeah, I'm on do Moa. And I was like, this is 100% Conorwood. My name Conorwood. I look at it closer. Everyone's like, how do you know this Conorwood? He's hand. His hand, the hand in question, completely couldn't be more of a woman's hand. >> It wasn't your hand. >> It had French tips. >> It didn't have French tips. But it wasn't your hand. >> French ass tips. Anyways, it was a woman's hand. It couldn't be more of a feminine hand. >> Do we know whose hand it was? >> I think Tatiana on us. But 100%. >> Are you being curious? >> Yeah. That one was me. This one was me because I wore a different color hoodie every day because I didn't get the box with all the gear to be hidden all the time. I was bringing my own hoodie to work. I didn't know that with everyone else was giving a free hoodie. But I brought my own and I appreciate do Moa's always been here since the beginning days. >> They have been always been there for you. >> And they called me comedian, which I appreciate. I said, because I know that I'm the influencer on the season, which I take. Pride it. There's nothing wrong with being an influencer. >> I feel like you Sarah. >> Sarah? >> Sarah? >> No. >> Oh. >> Nevermind. >> Sarah Jane? >> Sarah Jane. Yeah. >> She's a reality star in the model. >> Okay. >> Because they have their son, Hulu. Love that name. >> I feel like there's no true influencer this season. Like there's no Alex Earl. >> Yeah. >> You're the comedian. You're the comedian. >> Well, yeah. So that happened. And then, what were we talking about? How did this end up? >> I was just asking you about, like, what rehearsals were like, what you were feeling the night before, like how you felt like you were doing, how was dress rehearsal? >> You saw. >> I think you should tell us about what happened during dress rehearsal. >> Yeah. And I'm glad to, because of where we're at. >> Yeah. >> Tell us what happened during rehearsal. >> So we practiced to stand so much that, like, Riley made this video right before that was just like day one rehearsal versus now, and you see this day one version of us practicing
in this dance, which is like no dance experience. I don't know how Riley got up the following day and was like, time to go to work. Only Riley could, 'cause I was a lost cost, really. Like I was stepping on my-- - But when I saw your footage of very early practices, I didn't think you were bad at all. But seeing them compared to where you landed was insane. - I know, it was bizarre to see that. - Yeah. - And she posted that, we have been working on the dance for like two and a half weeks. And then some most lead up you get like for a dance, it's the first dance you get two and a half weeks. And we had it nailed. Like genuinely, I sent you a rehearsal video. I was like, this is like nuts. I can't wait to do this on the stage. - Right. - Now, when we're practicing the studio, we don't have the mechanical bull was a late ad. - Sure. - We don't have the mechanical bull in the studio, you know? So that adds, if you think about the song that we've been practicing to, nailing it to the beats, now we've got an additional four seconds added to the top of the song. So now it's like. - And every second matters. - And then, so what you don't hear on the TV is, it goes, click, click, click, click. And it's like, I'm getting off the bull. I have to think of where I have to be per click. And it's at the beginning of the song. It's only got two days on the bull. And then the stairs, which we don't have stairs in the studio. And then the hat, we weren't practicing with the hat. So it's like four things before the dance started. And then you have to hit that first beat on the floor, on the flow, on the way to the liquor stove. So it was like all new stuff. So we go in for camera blocking is what it is. And that's when like, what you guys see on TV, it's like there's 12, I don't know how many, there's 12 cameras. And so when you look, you cut, and you look, and they're close on your face this way. And then you cut this way. And this is a far out. - This is how you look at the cameras while you're dancing. - I'm making this up by the way that I didn't ask any questions. But like, I think it's a two-fer. They don't want to show bad dancing on TV. That would just be like a nothing burger TV. Like no one wants to watch bad dancing. - I think it would want to show someone mess up if they mess up pretty badly, no? - I don't really, I don't think that that would benefit them at all people would be like, I'm not, like this is not, this person not taking it seriously. - No, like people. - If someone falls or something, that's good TV. That's like- - I think I'm saying that- - It's replay. - But it's good TV, unfortunately. But like, just messing up, flopping a whole dance. Which is, I'll just get there. So you get three tries on the Saturday leading up. It was Saturday this week, I don't know when it's gonna be, but moving forward 'cause it was a two-fer, two night special. But the camera blocking, one, you get to be like, okay, for this, this is a closeup on my face. I really want to look 'cause that's everyone watching and voting is like, you know, if I'm going, I like it, I want to go, I like it. - Right, right, right, I like it, turn. - Boom. And then two, - I love it, turn. - I like it here, I love it here. And then what if I want some more of it, right? - A greed. - So that would be like kind of a bunch out. And then there's also like spinning around you. So there was that, I, you guys, we got three tries. There is not a chance on the planet. I couldn't have messed these up more. By the way, these, like I'm missing the first beat. I'm skipping like, I don't know how many mood, how many like sections of the dance there were, probably 15, I was missing like seven. - Like. - Of this dance that we have nailed to perfection, 100 times. - You got the yips for the yips. - I got the yips. - You got the yips. - Badly for a dress rehearsal, et cetera. Camera ball. - And like I don't have for performance anxiety. Like I've never had that in my life. There was not even that many people in the room when I did this. I messed it up and that gets sent out to everyone. And I'm just like, oh, they're all gonna get this and they're gonna be like, we made a pretty massive mistake. And then we come in day of the show. After practicing, I'm like, okay, that was like, that was the day after my birthday. So we had done karaoke and stuff. And like, maybe it was a sleep thing. Like, I don't really know, 'cause that wasn't to late afternoon. But it definitely wasn't like an early morning wakeup. It was late afternoon. So it wasn't like, I was just trying to make up an excuse of why that could have happened. - Yeah. - And then the day of the show, we go in and we had a couple tries not in our costume. And I nailed it. I was like, oh my God, it was the yips. - And where were you practicing? - This is in the ballroom. - It's day of the show. - Okay, you nailed it in the ballroom. - Nailed it with the stairs with the ball with the hat. And then we put our costume on. - Where did you go wrong? - 10 second tom. Like, genuine 51st dates, Drew Barrymore. Hi, where am I? (laughing) Hi, Connor, Riley, why are you introducing yourself? 100% brand new to me, dresser or so. So we do it, I'm like, I mean, when you get up, there's always like, we have one more rehearsal. I'll just get it that time and then I'll feel good. It's making me sweat again, even thank you about it. There was no more, one more, try it. The next try was five TV. You're in the crowd, my parents are in the crowd. I was like, oh my God, I blew it. You know? - And he had texted me this that he completely messed up. I couldn't, I was so sick to my stomach, I'm sorry to say this for the new listeners, but I couldn't get off the toilet all day. I was sick to my stomach. We started leaving to go to the bar room, Connor read to turn around as I was extremely sick. - No. - I was sick in my chair at the bar room. You came out, you couldn't look at me. I couldn't look at you. Like it was like, I was sick. - I mean, I was just like, this isn't even funny. You know? - It wasn't funny. - You know, like a lot of times you're like, oh, if I mess up, it's like, oh, you know, that one time I blew it, round, you know, round one of Dancing with the Stars, but it wasn't funny. I was like, I don't think I'm gonna look. - It's not funny. - I don't think I'm gonna look. - Truly, like, I've never been to war. - Totally. - I was on the line of fire. Like, I was genuine, like, I feel like everyone I meet lately is trying to be smarter with money. My self included, cash back here, coupons and points there. But why does it take so much effort? We all just want to make our money work a little harder. - I totally agree, Connor. I love a good deal, but if I actually have to hunt for one or go out of my way to activate a coupon, I've already checked out. - Yeah, well, Brooke, I think I found one you'll actually like. But what's the catch? - What if I told you there isn't one? I'm talking about 5% cash back on eligible purchases and categories of beauty, apparel, electronics, PCs, and health and personal care. - You're telling me this whole time I could have been getting rewarded for the purchase I already make? And with no catch? - Exactly. You're not changing your shopping habits. You just get rewarded for them. And the best part, the cash back is automatic. No coupons, no activation, no extra steps. - Now that's the kind of reward I can get behind. No extra work, just getting rewarded for the life of Marty Living. - You're talking about prime for young adults, 5% cash back, 100% made for you. - I'm talking about that. I have never felt what I felt that there's-- - I can't imagine. - There's genuine, like, I think that I could have been a heavy, heavy smoker for my, since I was six years old. And I think that I would have lived longer than whatever, yeah, whatever Chaudet did to me on my longevity of my life. - Yeah. - Anyways-- - I really can't imagine. - Come out, I'm talking to everybody. It's just like, I was just like, I got, went nonverbal. I was like, I had accepted that. Okay, like, it didn't look that bad on camera blocking 'cause they did help me out, but like, you know, like, I don't know the stance that I know. - Mm-hmm, when you think you know someone and in terms of you don't, vibes. - Turned on me, yeah. And then you're like, oh my gosh, what's that next part? 'Cause you're thinking of it in your head and then I'm like, oh yeah, now I'm gonna think of it when I get up to that part. And then when you're thinking of what's the next part, you miss the part that you're doing. Yeah, it's pretty gnarly. And the Chaudet that we were doing is like a very, it's a harder dance. That's why, like, I think people like to do that one at the beginning when expectations are lower. - Can you explain, like, did they tell you to do the Chaudet, or you pick it? - No, the songs, you know, a song lends itself to a style of dance. - Okay. - You didn't even know that. - Yeah, so like, if I tell Riley, this, you know, all I wanted was you by Paramore. - Yeah. - What's on, what is that? And she's like, oh my gosh, that's a Samba. Like, she can just be like. - Whoa. - Love beats in her head and do that. - And now can you do a Chaudet again, or you're done with doing Chaudet. - I hope I never have to do it. I'm just kidding. No, it was fun. I enjoyed it. I will never listen to Tim McGraw again. - Sure. - No fault of his own. But, I think it would genuinely like PTSD me. - And now one of my favorite songs. - The other thing that happens is the live band plays the song. So it's not the song that you've been practicing. - Right. - So it's a live band. And it, like, you're in a room with different acoustics. And because of the adrenaline, you feel like, they're playing slower. And so you're going faster. - Oh. - It's very bizarre. But, got out there on the bowl. - Yeah. Well, rewind for a second. How are you feeling, like, as all the other guys were performing before you? 'Cause you were sick. I didn't care for that. Like, I wanted you to go pretty early. 'Cause the anticipation was like, really terrible. - What a logic on first. - How was the anticipation for you and, like, watching all the other guys? - It was fine. Riley's in a really good job of being, like, say in your lane, like, there's nothing. That has nothing to do with you. Everything's scoring is all things considered, you know? Like, someone that comes in that's a professional dancer. They're considering that. They're going, how are you elevating that and how are you getting better and what are you bringing presentation with all this. And then, for some of no dance experience, they're like, from where you came to now, that's what they're judging and, like, what you did out there. - So they are grading on a curve. - It's curved, per individual. It's not, I don't think it's even, like, blanket statement curved. I think it's, like, based on, it's, like, pretty tailored. - Yeah. - Okay, I'll just tell you. So, it went out there and I walk by you. - I throw it, it's, like, closes. - Yeah, it's, like, really hard. - I know how this story ends. I know how this story ends. - Ah! So, walking out there and, like, I'm looking at, right, we're walking out together and then we get up on the ball and I'm looking at it's, the package is playing, it's my first time seeing the package and honestly, truly, that's what the package is. - That's what the package is. - Voice to God, me being like, hey, I'm Connor and this is me and Riley meeting and it's on the screen in playing. - Oh, that's the package, okay. - And you have to watch that while, for the first time, while you're going out there and I'm just going out there, like, shut up for a second. Like, I'm- - Are you feeling, like, surrendering, like, whatever, or, like, you were still, like, nerves to the gods? - There, there wasn't a better situation that had to happen where you truly were, like, what, like, letting go and letting God right there, being like, whatever happens right now, just like, is going to happen. Like, that is just it and the best thing you can do is be like, just like stand up. Sometimes if I'm like, oh, there's a big crowd, I'm like, it's 7 p.m. right now, you've 40 minutes at, or whatever, by eight, you will be heading home and getting in bed. - That's strategy. - And I'm thinking about dancing with the stars, I'm like, in one minute. - In one minute. - You will be backstage and people will have moved on. - Yep. - Although, now, with everything, I don't think people move on as quickly as you would like to think, especially the people that watch dancing and how online everyone is. And it seems like everyone is actually recording the show on TV. - Yeah. - Like, they're like filming their-- - Yeah, like the concert. - Yeah, which is just like, okay. The Cha Cha is very individual. So, like, there's a lot of parts where, you know, I'm moving in my own, and then Riley and I will meet up, and then we switch. Just switching, it felt like switching into different styles every single time. But I'm up on the bowl. - I'm up on the bowl. - I look straight, see my dad, he's laughing, which is just like, come on. Don't laugh. - He was so proud of you. - I know. - It was really amazing to be in that space. - I'm sure it was great for my dad that was in the military to watch his son dance. (laughs) - It was, Connor, it was. Like, it genuinely was. And he has known that you have been able to work this crowd since you were five years old in the school play. That's what I'll say about that. - What did he tell you? - That when you were five years old in the school play, not only did you memorize all of your own lines, you memorized the lines of everybody else. - Yep. - Yep. - And then he knew, you're born entertain. - An entertainer? - That I completely agree. That's my entertainer. - There was, so we're doing the dance. There's a part of the dance floor where if you said today, like, you caught the beat, did you say that today? - I caught the beat. - No, that like, I was, oh, no. - I don't think I've ever said that. - Well, I don't have a sense of beats. - There's a part where like, I kind of lost it for a second. I slipped. - Oh, I didn't know that. - My toe slipped and like, I'm supposed to do a sharp stop. And I did a sharp stop and my toe took like six more inches and was out. And then I did-- - In your boot? - In my boot. - In your heel, snakes can cowboy boot your toe. - And in my true Mayflower stepas, I slipped a little bit. And I told them to, I was like, this part is, I'm slipping every single time only right here. And no one was really using that portion of the dance floor. - No, seriously, seriously. - No, I'm just, they were. But like, I think I might have just been like, using so much of my toe that it was actually my top of my shoe that was catching, but caught it and we got to like, the towards, probably like, 75% of the dance. And I smiled it right. I was like, I was like, about to start laughing. I was like, this is like the one that we get all the way through. And I know there was some like, timing issues and stuff, but like, I was truly just like overjoyed to have gotten through the dance and on. - Joy on your face when you finished. Like, it was mirrored in the crowd. Like, it was like, you could tell how happy you were that you did it. It was, I mean, it was so good, Connor. - But I smile. - I didn't even catch one second that you were off, by the way. - I smiled so big and she goes, not yet. I saw her going, not yet. And we got there and then she fell down on the ground because she really, Riley's the most positive person in the world. She was kind of like, yeah. - Stoned face like, next season will be my season. - Yeah. - She thought you were. - Unfortunately, this season is your season 'cause we're going all the way, baby. - Oh my God, you're going all the way. - We're gonna, yeah, we're gonna go all the way. - Oh, I know that. You are going all the way. - How was the crowd? - Connor, I was like legitimately like, I don't know. Like, I was so in my own body only and like, so freaked out. And like, only looking at you. And just like, experiencing probably not all of the nerves that you were, but like, pretty much all of them. - Make sure you say it. - But like, I don't know how the crowd was. I think good. - Really? - Probably good. If I had to guess, yeah, probably great. - I'm so scared, there's this girl that keeps posting. I was in the crowd at the dance with the stars premiere. Here's the real crowd favorites. And I'm like, oh, I can't watch that. I don't want to know. - Oh, no, I'm sure the crowd loved you. I think we were screaming. I do want to say to, I can't explain to you what it feels like to mess up the dressers on being like, and they're all watching and they're like, what are you doing? And just being like, I know I can do this dance. To, I'm feeling fine. And then like, right before, or dance while we're getting ready, I get a push notification on my phone. I am not signed up for push notifications from Google. The app. I don't need an internet push notification. - What did she say? - Page six. Tim McGraw falls on stage while performing. I like it. I love it in Las Vegas. I have an image. I screenshot it in it. Tim McGraw takes hard fall on stage at Cincinnati concert after arriving 40 minutes late. I'm like, that is a horrible. Oh, man. - That is bad. - That's bad. - Honestly, that's bad. But you didn't look like I'd get you down. - No, I did let it get me down.
And I was really in my head, but. - Wow, living all of that, just like. - No, and then watching last night, and just picturing, when we went to get our scores, I was like, "Take it, give me one." So I'm okay with that, we got through the dance, and that's what I wanted to do. - That's my favorite part of the dance, if I may. - Oh yeah. - You were sexy, sexy. - Really? - And I don't use that word lightly. - Wow. - Like the way when you were behind Riley, and you had your hand going up her leg. - When I was slaying. - You were slaying the house down. Snayscan booth, slipping your toe out. Like that, I was like, "Oh my God." Oh my God. - Oh my God. - That was funny. - It was like Connor, I was like freaking out. - Oh. - Like, and I keep thinking about like, if I was in an alternate universe, where like, I didn't really know you. Like, I would be like, "I like him." (laughing) I would be like, texting Connor W, like, pretty freaking frantically. - But you know me. - Yeah, but I'm just saying like, if I didn't, like, I would have, I would have latched. And that, I would have latched, which is pretty scary to think about. - From the ballroom. - From my couch at home, I would have been latching on to you from the ballroom. Like, it's scary to think about like, what could have happened in that alternate universe. - Wow. - And like, what my DMs to you could have looked like in that space. - Oh, that's like, isn't that scary? - That bone chilling. - Isn't it bone chilling? - Yeah, that's like kind of like the movie "In Time." - It's like the movie "In Time." And then you called me last night, and I was like, oh my God, Connor, what is calling me? (laughing) Stop, bro. - I'm serious, like, it's like really crazy. - Stop it. - I'm serious. - Well, seeing you guys in the crowd, that was just like, that was nice. - Good, good, good. - Except I can't ever look at you guys again, 'cause I could tell you guys were freaking out. You guys were doing this smile like this. - Well, now I'm gonna be fine, 'cause I know what you're capable of. - Yeah. - And I know the way you can act under pressure. - Our dance actually is gonna be really fun. Like, I could have performed our dance next week today. - Are you doing any sexy moves next week? - Moves next week? - Pretty sexy, yeah. - Is it sexy, or is it sexier? - Olding is sexy, like it's like, and like I keep saying sexy. It's just a more sensual dance. - Awesome. (laughing) - I'm so excited. - I do wanna say, so you're like, when I really started getting in my head about the dance, it was when Riley was like, now it's time to look at, time to use your face. And like someone like Jackson Olsen, the Svana Manana, he's like a big like, oh, yes, smile like, wink, like, so I'm like, I gotta wink. I gotta get a wink in. I look right in during that freaking line dance at Karyana and I go, and I wink at her. - And you did not get for the echo and you did it. - Okay, we gotta talk about the delivery on that line. - Let's have it. I'd love to get into that. - So whoever the judge, first one that we talked is Karyana. Usually when people move their body in a strange way. (laughing) - That I've never heard her deliver a score like that. - Usually, this is literally why your tooth brown. (laughing) - I'm serious. - Speak like that. - Usually when someone moves their body in a strange way, and I'm like this. Y'all hearing this? - Yeah. (laughing) - I'm like, what could she say? - Can I hear both sitting there going, okay, okay. Okay. - Yes. It gives me the ick and I'm just like, how are we gonna land this plane? - Yeah. - I wanna help you land this plane together. She goes, did not give me the ick. But what I'm hearing out there is like, when someone moves their weird body, like you are moving your strange weird body. You know, like that's what I'm hearing when I'm out there. - Like, usually that would have been it. But the way you did it. - You know, I'm sure they hear like whispering of the dress rehearsal on the rehearsals that like I wasn't performing well at. And so I'm sure that she was ready to deliver like a different message. And then so I think that she was like, I was pleasantly surprised because she was basing it. And then Derek also said, I was pleasantly surprised. Like I think that they were like, oh, we gotta change our tune because of turn it on. I don't remember what Bruno said. - Did you rewatch and watch the judges? You should. - I don't think I will. I think you should. They were like loving it. - Really? - Yes. - The funniest thing I ever hear him out, I was talking to him on the side 'cause we were going up together at the beginning. And I was like, he was like, I don't know anyone's name, man. And I was like, do you know the judges? He's like, carry in. I was like, yeah. And then I go, what's the guy's name? And he goes, Darryl Hugg. I think it, yep. - He's in a first good time, not a long time. I love fuck. - I don't know. Like, people are kind of Andy Richter and his ass. - I don't, I don't think so. As much as I love him. - He like. - Deeply. - He jokes around a lot. He's like proud of himself. It's very awesome. - Should he? - He literally should be. - He literally comes up and he goes, you know when you're down there and like, you get up and like, then you hit it, you know, like, and then I looked at him the other day and like, saw him down the hallway and he was practicing and like, oh, he wants it. - No, he's working hard. He's, I think he's got a definitely few more shows left. - Yes. - Yeah. - I love him. Let me just see. - Yeah. And then, so, I mean, I was sweating out of my head, which I've never really done. I want to look into sweating out of the head. - What do you mean out of your head? - It was coming from here and down. It was literally like in a movie when someone's nervous. When they're like counting cards at a casino, it was sweating from here. - Yeah. - Like, no, again. - From your scalp. - From your scalp. - Everyone was so good too. But in terms of like watching people, obviously like Ezra is my brother on the show. Like, that is who I like spend like a lot of my time with. - Yeah. - And we just hit it off like day one in the lot when we were doing my promo shoot. And he was just phenomenal. Like, he's a phenomenal. - One I want to say, he's phenomenal. Like, he's made for this. Obviously like athlete. Obviously, handsome as hell. He got it all. She's so great. Love him to death He has a best family too. Connor. I was sitting. We were sitting next to them and I was like Sobing watching them watch him. I know. I'm like always talking to his mom his mom is like everywhere his mom like most beautiful woman I've ever seen That whole thing and then his brothers come up. Hi, we're as are no, I know They all look the same. I was just brother. I'm as a brother. I go. I thought you were Ezra. Yeah, I was like how did you change so fast? I thought he was doing I Thought sorry now that I'm a dancer. There's a car horn going off and I'm like five You're starting to hear the beat. Yeah, no, but when I saw Ezra's brother and the crowd was like oh my god. Is he doing like? like a secret crowd piece like is he doing like a flash mob with like lookalikes? Oh, I thought he had looked like scattered with that Throughout the guy and those brothers, but I mean that dance was the last dance I saw before I went out. Yeah, so I was kind of like What if I fell down the stairs like would that be so bad? And then I was like yes, because they would play my dress rehearsal as my like if you get hurt They play your dress rehearsal as the thing they score for and so I was like no, I need to go out and kind of do this thing And it happened and then it was good And then it was amazing. Thank you. That's very very nice Okay, so then we go to the press line the press went so funny. I obviously like I'm sitting. No, you went to do your interview up on the platform That's what I want to talk about my interview. Yeah, let's talk about the interview I was so happy that we finished the dance that like everyone was like this is the chance like for people to get to know you and for Jules to be like how is the competition? So we're on a said competitive You're doing Jules Jules and I okay, I didn't know you're doing Jules. Jules goes. How's the competition been so far? This is that you're time to be like I am here doing this for my daughter. Yeah, I am here doing this for this community of people I am here because they said I couldn't be here. I go she goes. How does it I said good? I mean you didn't you didn't lie. No, I mean I wasn't up there to lie I was on such a high that like the questions being asked were just like let me Let me go. Let me let you let me let me let me let me go like the scores I was like I am so content with what we did out there that I don't you can score me one I could go home and I am like I'm good with it, but Like the story that I'm telling was not told up there that last that evening. Do you know the story you want to tell? I think so I think yeah, I'm excited to you helped me with it. Yeah, I'm excited to see her next year Yeah, and I think I can start saying it here. It's just like everything that I've ever done has been kind of like a joke And I laugh at everything and this is something that I care about and I'm taking seriously And I think it's just like telling a different side of myself vulnerable and earn it very vulnerable very earnest You know, it was like weirdly validating for me the other day what Timothy Shalamay posted a photo Don't from his hike with his dad Okay, and I was like Yeah, you connected to that the caption was Hike with my dad. Yeah, and I was like Yes, and and I'm dancing, you know, like yeah Timothy Shalamay is hiking with his dad and I'm dancing and I'm Working hard and I'm stretching and I'm lifting and I'm going to the physical therapist Timothy That was weirdly like this is the year of being earnest in our work, you know and not just being like I'm very stupid. This is the year of vulnerable things. This is the year. This is the year saying I'm very capable. I'm very very good at what I do and I can try new things too if I want to I can I can and I would and I will Yeah, last year I was on the the other side of that obstructing pole this year. I'm on the other side of the pole I'm on the floor tonight. We're gonna get on the flow. Yeah Awesome anything else you want to address about the interview? Yeah Address for the evening one like I totally see you and hear you like being in the zone about the the the work that you have been invited on to promote and then the podcast coming up and being like let me get back to like but like When someone was like or whenever they brought up partner. I don't think they did sweetie I think you brought up whatever they brought up like where's your head at? I was talking obviously competitively I think that this is the funniest thing in the world because now we and I'm gonna we're gonna go to that in a second But when they're like where's your I'm like I've just never had just think about how Riley is just as like in this competition tell tell them what you said and then sport and then I've never had a partner before before like Accepted double tennis no double tennis came later. Oh, well, okay. I don't remember what I set up. Okay, let's play it Let's play it. No, let's roll the tape. Okay, I go ahead. I don't want you. No, I don't I don't care about this Okay, if you could even pull up his transcript. I don't care about what I said. I can't see myself from that night Okay, it's fine. It's like triggering but I will say like I am not I was not I was thinking in sport, you know like I wasn't and I've never We've never called each other my coat my my podcast partner. I feel like I've called you my partner I don't think we've ever said well, I've called you partner and I'm like a life my life partner You are my safe space and you are my partner here in our home when we're sitting here and when we're working You know like this is great and like as in in life as well like great But like we've never been in a competitive situation. I don't think we would I knew what you meant I know you coming up right away. I'm being like never had a partner and I was like what are you talking about like I literally had no idea what you're talking about I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You ever make a joke about that and I was like I don't know what you're talking about like I genuinely had no memory of from The end of the dance I remember carrying and then I don't remember being up at the sky deck and Or anything after that like it's weird what blacked out. But anyways now we have now we're even because I had done something similar Simular and specifically when you were on Good Morning America. Yeah today show today show and it was so now we have So would you rather yeah Uh, oh, it's nothing daughter or I never had a partner list son partner list son someone said that that we didn't coin that Someone said that on tiktok. Yes, shout out to her. Yes, so you know, we're gonna do merch. We are we have to do timely march for the first time ever But the fun the funniest part about no partner to me was that you did a second interview Where you also said I've never had a partner Corrected yourself and you said oh well except for in doubles tennis. That was my favorite part. Yeah So that's well now you understand like in terms of like you had a sport mind that sport mind set No, but you and I also want to say like We are dream team truly like doing this. I don't think we would compete well together Uh-uh, because I just don't think that we would I don't yeah, I wouldn't want to because like that's just not like I would it wouldn't be fun And words are like in this house. We're all about fun. Yeah You know, I love you to death you came up about 1100 times and other like in other parts of the interviews Of course what they clipped was partnerless son partnerless son because obviously and by the way That was very very fun up until the one person that needs to ruin it by being So strange like you guys were having fun The rest easy knowing that we are we were laughing about it. We are not only we are not it is not only Everything but partner full. Here's what I'll say about that. I did I've read I've did react live time And cat elbowed me so hard because I didn't realize there was a camera in our face. Oh Wait, is it on camera? No, it's not on camera, but if it was you would have seen me go never to partner before Like okay, this is one of those things were truly like I Like do not make that connection because I don't like I don't know competitively We've never maybe we should try to be in a competition together. I think we could do something like we should do traders or something Wait, I want to talk about traders because Well, I think we could do something like are you smarter than a fifth grader together like I did not work No, but I'm saying we wouldn't like hate each other based off of that I think we would hate each other if If something like dancing the fact is your dancing starts part was I but oh like you're like gonna be on traders I don't know that's just how that's how it works, baby like you're gonna be on traders. I would love to be on traders, but I don't know What'd be fun like That's awesome Speaking of more Hagen's dance lesson. I was amazing Incredible and we like and Rob was there in Lisa. He spoke to Rob Yeah, how was that Rob's just like a nice just like cutest little like I love that he I don't know if I'm allowed to say this
He's like playing a character. He's a very, very sweet guy. And like his like, kind of like solemn, like, yeah, what's up? You know, whatever. He's like a very nice outgoing. - Is he like a, like, was there like bubble to him? - Yes. - Like he's a little bubbly? - Yes, he's bubbly. - Wow. - So I judge her, she was, it's so much kind, so many kind words to say about my dance. - What did she say? - She was just like, I was here in the ballroom one, but two, I watched it on TV and I got home. And like, usually someone has like one or the other, you know, like they were, it worked really well on camera. She was like, you did both. And I'm hugging her and that was the first time I had done. Oh my God, Georgia, see what smells bad. And then I go, later on I go, oh my God, it was me. It was my first time lifting my arms. They made us put our outfit back on from the night before and they didn't clean it. And remember how much I was sweating. - Why did they make you do that? The girls had two different outfits. - 'Cause the girls did an opening number for ours. And we didn't do an opening number for theirs. But I feel bad for even a millisecond of thinking Georgia, see what smelled bad. And I smelled like salt and vinegar chips from my armpits. It was disgusting. I literally hugged her and I was like, whoa. - No one's expecting you to smell good after. - No, so you're wondering if they wash the outfit or like if it smelled bad. It was, it was rank. It was like sharp cheddar. I don't even know how to do it. - You honor. - It was like not like a, oh, this is B.O. It was like pungent. And then we went up and did the thing with Rob or when last night and I couldn't lift my arms in front of him. So like you'll see, I'm next to Ezra and Jackson and these are like two like big broad shoulder guys and I'm like this. - I have a few questions to ask you. - Okay. - Well first of all, I wanna talk about voting. - What? - Also Kate Flannery in between me and Radley with P and she's running out and she goes, "Grab me, you are fucking awesome." - Oh my god. - I was like, Kate Flannery? - That's Meredith Flannery off in the office. - That's awesome. - Yeah, it was pretty, it was amazing. It's just like the coolest thing in the world. - Wait, what was the question? - I just like, just about the show in general, like the voting just like pisses me off beyond belief because the show airs live only on the East Coast and airs at 8 p.m. LA time. And so we have to vote assuming you're not in the ballroom without watching you. - Yeah. - So like for the women, like I didn't know, like I didn't have a fan favorite yet because I didn't know them until I walked last night. So like I couldn't vote based off of performance at all, which is the only thing that I would have wanted to vote on. - It's crazy, I didn't think about that. - Like I completely, I didn't vote last night 'cause I'm like, what would I be voting on? I don't know. - I can't answer that. I don't really understand. - I should be able to base my votes off of the dance. - Yeah, I think Whitney Carson said something really good about this. She was just like, you do vote for your favorite. - Yeah. - But you should be able to factor in the performance shortly. Like it's not right to not be able to do that. - I can't answer the question 'cause I didn't ever think about. - I'm just like it makes zero sense. The other thing that I don't like, if you don't mind me shitting on the show that you're on for a second, which is, it is my favorite show by the way, just few qualms. - You have beat back. I think that there should be eliminations on the first night. I think everyone should get the chance to establish any fan base that they can on the first night. Let that marinate first. I can't have the chance to improve. - Sarah Jane and Haley, that's Haley's first year as a pro. Here's her first season as a pro. And I was just like, I was also like, oh, like based on the first dance in the first choreography, I just thought that was a little crazy 'cause I liked the dance. - Yeah, I did too. I don't think anyone should go home night one. - I'll say that about that. Oh, by the way, when they put you in the quote unquote, bottom three, even though I know it's no specific order, there's no, you weren't in the bottom three, you just like, they placed you in the last three people that happened to be on stage. Did you think for one second that you were at risk? - It's impossible to not think that I was at risk. - It truly didn't even cross my mind. - Well, even from judges scoring, like it was not in no particular order. I think they do what they have to do, but like even judges score, we were forth. - But they just did that for the Connor of it all. So they could be like Connor. - I don't know what that is. - They reminded me of David and David, Archaleta and Cook. - I think he came to the show. - David Archaleta? - Yeah. - Albert Chow? - You should. - Albert Chow, to my buddy. - Oh, you guys do need to reconnect. - I'm happy, yeah. - Well, that's that. Now we got this week. - Well, let me tell you my fan favorite. - Oh, yeah. - And oh, here's what I wanted to ask you. Can I give, like, if I gave 10 votes to you, and 10 votes to, I don't know, say Ezra, I can do that. Like, I can give 10 votes to different people. I think I can, Connor. I don't think it's 10 votes total. I think it's 10 votes per cup. - No, you have to split five and five. - No, I don't think so, which I don't understand. I think I could give, no, I don't think you do 'cause I didn't understand this either. I could give 10 to you and 10 to Ezra, I think. - Is it crap on my sweatshirt? - I don't know, there's no crap on your sweatshirt. - Yeah, it's per-couple. - Per-couple. So that doesn't make sense to me either. - Oh, so someone could vote for every couple. - Yes. - Like, if every person voted for every couple, 10 times, like, it would just cancel out their vote. - I don't get it. But, so, like, would me voting for you 10 times and then voting for Ezra 10 times hurt you? - It wouldn't hurt me 'cause I want Ezra to win. - But, like, it would hurt, it would, it's tough 'cause, like, obviously, I mean, I'm only voting for you, but like-- - I mean, obviously, if it was neck-and-neck. - If it was neck-and-neck, Ezra. - I guess that's where it makes sense to me. - But I don't think it will be neck-and-neck-and-neck, like, unless I was, well, I mean, there's always a chance if I really, really messed up. And I was at the bottom at the chopping block. - I guess it wouldn't, I know. No, then it wouldn't matter. It would never matter if you voted for both of us. And your vote would still be in counted for me, so. I was just thinking, if I was at the tail end and you gave the five that someone else-- - I think it does make a difference 'cause it gives him more votes. - I confuse myself. - I confuse. - I confuse. - I confuse. - Just in general. - I'm very confused. - But I think, like, dancing with the stars, like, you guys need to think about, like, a few things that make no sense. If you can, if you've time. - It's been on the air. - I know you're busy, but if you've time, a lot of stuff makes sense. - This show has been on the air for, like, 20 plus years, right? There's like a lot of people I've talked to. People that work behind the scenes and stuff that are, like, I've been here for 17 years. I'm like, I can't imagine doing anything for 17 years. - Yeah, that's a lot of years. - Walking for 17 years. I'm like, I've been doing stairs for 17 years. - Crazy. - Let me just tell you my fan favorites really quickly 'cause it's my favorite show. - Yeah. - You, obviously, my mayor, wall champ. - Obviously, like, I'm completely addicted to Ezra, like, goes without saying. - Of course. - I'm a little bit torn with Harry. Shum, 'cause he's, like, just, like, so good. - You saw me, if you saw that pan to me, I'm-- - I did pan to you, and, like, that's Mike Chang. So, I'm, like, a little bit confused 'cause, like, in my mind, he could be one of the pros, but also, at the same time, like, that absolutely fabulous to watch. And, like, greatest guy, I'm happy to be in the room with him. - Sure. - So, torn on that leaning toward, like, I'm addicted to him, of course. Mora was out of this world. Like, that was, like, freakish. Like, the way her face was angled, I was, like, that's a, that's a dancer. That's a dancer. I think she was exceptional. - Yeah, she was great. - Who else am I obsessed with? I mean, everyone was fabulous. It goes without saying. But, I think those are my, those are my big ones. I'm missing someone big, aren't I? I like, I really like Taylor Hanson. - Yeah, he's great. - I really like Tim. Name a woman, name one more woman, bro. - But, Jen and DeWan? - She's, I'm having another sort of, like, hairy situation with her. - That was, I mean, that was a big talk. Is that, like, those are pro dancers? - Yeah. - The craziest thing in the world is, like, it is impossible to feel competitive with these people because they are 360-degree, great people. I enjoy their company. - Total. - I enjoy all these people. Amber, Glenn. - She's the ice skater. - Mm-hmm. - She's fabulous. - Fabulous. - The women are just out of this world. - I don't think anyone younger than us should be on the show. - Agreed? - As far as an exception, but, like, you can be super young, but you can't be, like, 26, 27, 28. Like, that's too, like, that's mean. - That's too close. - That's mean to be. - But, I mean, everyone's fabulous. - Jada, the chef. She's the one that, during show until she broke her toe, and I was like, that is really unfortunate because I don't know if I could recover from broken toe, and she danced the whole, she did the whole dance, which I think she was stressed about, but she's awesome. I freaking love her. - Oh, that's great. I'm kind of obsessed with Alan. - Alan. - Like, I feel like I'd never before, like, really thought about the pros, but now I am. And, like, there's something about Alan that, like, I'm, like, really drawn to you. - You came all the way to my birthday party. - Alan was at your birthday party for me. I got really nauseous to hit Connor's birthday party, so I had to excuse myself fairly early, so I didn't get to really meet anyone. - That was funny, like, thank you for that, like, tailor-hands, tailor-hands, and give to my birthday party. - I didn't, I don't think I saw. - Isn't that fun? And, like, went up, so we're at karaoke, and he's like, you need to skip the line.
It's weird that Taylor Hansen was like, you need to get up and sing-- - Taylor Hansen was like, you're right to party. - Sing karaoke. And I go to Sing karaoke, it was must've in the mic or something, but I was horrible. - It was the mic. It was the mic. - And I had given the young man at the front $20. And he said, okay, I'll put you to the front. And Taylor Hansen was like, did you put you to the front? And I go, he said he would, but it's been three songs. He's like, uh-uh. Pushes is what, I passed his daughter up to the front. - He was part of his kids, that's awesome. - She's 21. - Wow. - He looks younger than me. - Wait, that's extremely confusing to me. - To a girl like you? Yeah, he's, I don't know how, but he is a 20-way girl. - I think he's 38, just based off that I've Google that runs ages. - He's a little bit older. But I don't think he is. - I don't think he is, actually. - He forced the guy to put my song next and then I went up and, not force, but he coerced. How old is he? - Oh, wow, I'm wrong. Someone's 38, but I mean, he, not that 43 is like old, but like, I didn't know he's my age. - He's very young, he's a young man. - He's, he's a very young man. - I, uh, I love him. - He also, he had a good idea on the side of the, when we were watching last night. He was like, there should be a TV show called, I'm an influencer, get me out of here and it's, where you put a bunch of influencers on an island with no phones. - So traders? - No, it'd be like survivor, but like, just surviving no Wi-Fi. - Yeah, that's really good. - Yeah, that's really good, that's good. - I mean, that's really good. - That's really good, but it would be love Island. - Too hot to handle. - Yeah. - Too hot to handle. Never mind done. - I wanna go, I wanna go, I wanna go with you to traders. - Fuck boy and partnerless daughter, peninsula. - Fuck boy and boy. - I can't believe you're gonna be on traders. - Broke, what are you talking about? - It's just like, I want everyone to know that this is in like, completely, - It's just the pipeline, maybe? - Unfound, unfounded comments, I broke. I don't know what, I don't know what pipeline you're talking about. No one, I don't think anyone does the answer to this, there's two traders. - Oh, everyone does. - Who? - Most people do traders to dancing. - And sort of Nora. - And sort of Nora. - But you're the exception. - Mark Ballas, I guess. - You're the exception. As far as men, you're the exception. - On the clap, don't. - Okay, anything else, the answer I'm checking, I'm checking my notes. (humming) - No. - I mean, I feel like I probably have, I hope people want to hear this. - They, I mean, they're gonna have to, because they'll have to. - Yeah. I'm excited for our merch that's getting dropped. That's gonna be fun. - Partner lists, sign, except for double tennis, and that's nothing, daughter. But I wrote a book. - Oh, that's nothing. - But I wrote a book. - And except for double tennis. - Yeah. - So front of the shirt, and then back of the shirt. - That's funny. - Do we need to contact the girl who made that TikTok and be like, we're stealing your idea. Thank you so much. Like, how does that work? Like, is it her intellectual property? - Okay. - But we will. - Sadly. - We'll credit it, or? - Of course. - We'll send her some merch. - Oh, that's a good idea. - Yeah. - Yeah. I mean, we did, we did 55 minutes on DWS. Do you wanna spend the next, the last five times I've talked about the girl that had diarrhea? - What? - Now, legs? - What are you talking about? - That's, that, what's that called, is he high rocks? - Oh, no. I don't wanna talk about this. - Really? Why would you not wanna talk about that? - Okay, sure. I mean, what do you mean? - What do you mean? - Why did this, why is this the thing that you were like, okay, let's do the last five minutes on this young woman? - Oh, this was like my headline. - What? - This is like the only thing I've seen in the past week. - Yeah. - The young woman that had diarrhea. - And Australian woman athlete, poops mid-racen, it's not poop, that is not poop. That's like a protein shake. Athlete poops mid-racen in China, but keeps going and finishing it anyway. You know what? There it's a level of like, it's okay, baby. You did too much, you're doing too much. - My thing that I will say about this is-- - Like, imagine me middle of, I like it, I love it being like, can't stop now. - No, here's the thing. Like, you know, I'm the most like poop positive person in the world, especially when it's liquid, base. - Sure. - And even I am like, it gets to a point. - Uh-huh. - Like, if you have diarrhea running down your legs and slipping in your socks, you have to excuse yourself. That's just what you have to do. - I didn't really have to. - Especially because she was actually doing shared equipment. - The motto should always be, do exactly what makes you feel good, unless it affects other people. - Negatively. - Negatively. - So when you're getting diarrhea on the equipment that other people have to use, that would be the definition of affecting someone. - So, I-- - Negatively. - So she was in the, the high rocks is-- - You just like, I don't know exactly what it is. I do know there's like a shared equipment that is used. - Let me read this. - Australian high rocks athlete, and I'm going to say her name, because you, this should be Joanna. - No. - Actually, I'm not going to say her name. - Reportedly pooped during that. It's not poop. Irak Sproul, women's race in Beijing on September 12th, despite the incident, the Melbourne athlete continued competing across multiple stations and finished first. So then that adds a new element. - The young woman did finish first. - Well, I'm sure like, it did affect the other people competing in the sense that like, I'm sure it threw, almost threw them off a little bit. - Oh, so that's why you finished number one and number two in the same race. - Legendary. - Perfect. What else? Not cool. Okay, so the people spoke in the shade. And then someone said, Jeet Parhug Dia, which is like, that's why I was going to say. So. - Yeah, you have, when something like that happens, like you have to excuse yourself because you have to. Look at her, she's like, look at those like medicine balls on the ground. She's diarrhea in her socks and on her arms. - This feels to me like bioterism. - Okay, well, I'm not gonna grab that poopy, poopy, poopy dumbbell. - Yeah. - So I can't like, or if there's a moment of hesitation, you're now affecting others, you know? - Completely. - That is literally like, I'm gonna poop all over the things that I win. - Oh, are you saying that there's a chance it could have been intentional? - That is like. - You can't have diarrhea like that intentionally. (laughing) - Oh, I got it. - You know, like that was a, that was a, that slipped out. You know, unless she took something to soil the competition. - Literally. - Right, literally. - She quite literally soiled the competition. - You know what, Joanna? - I don't have anything to say to Joanna actually. That's, this is foul and really bad. - Yeah, you have to do it yourself because you just have to. - Let me try to think, let me try to play Devils Act. Can you take it, look, my new favorite thing is like, hating something and being like, I'm gonna play Devils Act to get. - I mean, if you-- - I don't know if there is one for this because you're getting poop on the equipment that other people are using, honestly. I think it would be different if it was like a track race. - Right. - What do people usually poop them, oh, marathons? - Yeah, I think that's one thing that's a little bit different. - I'm just like, if you, so she's obviously like a world class athlete. Hirox is, what is this, but by the way, this is like a nothing burger, right? It's like a crossfit. This is like a-- - I've never heard of something like that. - I think that this, no, you have to see what this stands for and then you'll be like, oh my gosh. Hirox is an indoor fitness race that combines eight, one kilometer runs with eight functional workout. No, it stands for, can we see what it stands for? What does Hirox stand for? Hirox stands for nothing. - Oh, no, it does see-- - And what do you fall for? - What is the acronym? Okay, that's not it. Okay, whatever, if this is a world class athlete, say you work for the brand team at New Balance. You have signed the number one Australian Hirox competitor in the world and she goes, take a photo of the finish line. Your New Balance and issues are completely shit covered. How are you supposed to be like, this is our girl, you know, like how are your brand, how are your sponsors supposed to be like, there's our poopy girl. - I think they don't address it. I don't think there's a way to be like, that's our poopy girl. - Like, unless it was just like a marathon that didn't involve shared equipment. - Nike. - And the shared equipment's bad, really bad. - Nike, just do it. Woman full of poop. - Oh, that could work. - Just it. - Free idea. - Free idea for Nike. - They are looking for free ideas out here. That is not what Hirox, like I promise, is there another one? There's something, I think it's American. 'Cause it's a hybrid, so I thought it was a hybrid, no wait. Maybe it starts with an R, I think there's an R in it. Oh my gosh, I gotta figure it out, hang on. - It's like, it's supposed to be-- - Oh, Hirox chance for a hybrid rock star. - But it keeps saying on the website, like it doesn't. - Well, it says they're probably trying to, Hirox doesn't stand for anything. There are an originally most curious rock star.
