Speaker 1it's good to see all of you i must leave it and your leadership thank you very much for coming
Speaker 2thank you dr dr
Speaker 1all right george
Speaker 3good to see
Speaker 1you thank you god bless you good to see all of you hallelujah praise god we want to thank you for bishop's life for what god is doing in his life praise god great work of apostleship of the great pastoral way and all that god is using to steal your life we can't go for his life hallelujah and the obedience of faith bishop thank you
Speaker 2hallelujah for your life for giving yourself to god and for the lord jesus christ that is why all these things are happening hallelujah thank you so much are you ready for god's word all right all right can you lift your hands
Speaker 1all right are we not dying away but then we exalted we are grateful for such a day like this your work never failed you never failed you are always the same thank you we receive your truth that will radically transform our lives we are never the same in the name of the lord jesus christ
Speaker 3thank you lord thank you thank you lord hallelujah there's a verse a scripture in the book of luke summertime by jesus and the past were healed in fact these 10 letters came to jesus and the
Speaker 2lord jesus told them that they should go and see the priest after that story they came for healing and jesus said she go ahead see the priest but that is see that is radical that in those days in 11th course you see the priest when you are healed you can only see the priest after you are healed yes so you can't see the priest when you are healed you can only see the priest when you are healed yes so you can't see the priest when you are healed you can only see the priest after you are healed aha so this will tell the
Speaker 1postman they came to jesus jesus didn't hear them jesus said they should go to the christ what does it mean they should act as though they were healed because you only go to the priest when you are healed so and you need the word of god as though you are healed in the face of similarly contradictory sometimes that's how to act on god's word hallelujah so you obey the word you act on the word despite the physical visual contradictory evidence so if you want healing you can always lie on your bed lord heal me heal me heal me lord heal me lord you can
Speaker 2even die saying about healing you understand you have to act you have to do what heals people do if you really believe you are healed you can already heal you hallelujah
Speaker 1but as they went the vows they were healed so they acted
Speaker 2they set off to go to see that priest that is faith and there was a manifestation of healing when you act on those for us what will happen to you will be resolved but only one returning to give glory to god yeah giving thanks to god is giving him glory only one retained to say thank you the bible says he was a samaritan why did the bible say he was a samaritan but the nine were jews because because of their covenant with god they felt the kind of entitlement god must do it so even when god had done it because of that spirit of entitlement which defeats every kind of
Speaker 1gratitude of the heart they didn't come to give thanks but only one was a samaritan returned god might have done many things for us which actually we may not be truly grateful because we think it's ordinary it's always normal it's always happening it's just god must do it you know but when you return you know the blessing he had the lord said jesus said he should be whole he blessed him with a blessed of holies he blessed him with the blessed of holies he's made whole should go his way he's made whole so he was whole but the rest are not whole
Speaker 2the word whole actually means completed the complete the whole that may imply the damages
Speaker 1that have been caused by the leprosy you see when you're when you are leprous especially your hands and fingers decay when they decay they also fall off yes they also fall off so you can be healed but part of your body is gone no you are no you are yes your legs your hands no you are healed the leprosy is no more but to be whole actually means there's total restoration perhaps the fingers go back the clothes go back you are whole so that has given an additional blessing to you
Speaker 2wholeness hallelujah such a blessing in thanking god i want us to thank god for you. Let's tap your voice with your hands and just give him praise. He's done so much for you.
Speaker 1Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. We are grateful. We are truly grateful. Your name be exalted in all the earth. We are grateful. Dear Jesus, we are grateful. In our sin. Thank you. Hallelujah. Praise God. Are you ready to receive God's word? How many of you are prepared? Are you prepared?
Speaker 2Thank you. Tonight, my desire is for you to actually come to the certainty of our salvation.
Speaker 3I want you to be
Speaker 2really settled in
Speaker 3total content in our salvation. So, we begin with that. So, you can name it understanding Hebrews, chapter six.
Speaker 2Understanding Hebrews, chapter six, yeah. Understanding Hebrews, so you have to follow it carefully. So, you don't get lost. Praise God. Praise God.
Speaker 3I hear you now.
Speaker 2Because many people are so confused. Most people have been overthrown because of lack of clarity. Some places have that same upscale. Praise God. But actually, it's a blessing. The same chapter gives us strong foundation and security concerning our salvation. The truth is that many believers are not secure in their salvation. What I don't want to name, I remember the combat process. It was, I attended a service of God at a church. I was in a service of God church.
Speaker 3I was in a
Speaker 2combat class, but I refused to be promoted. So, when you go to a combat class, by the next day, you have to go for it. But I gave myself about three years because I really didn't want to prepare for calculations. Yes. So, I remember. One of the things we were taught was the assurance of salvation.
Speaker 1Assurance of salvation. But these days, we don't teach about assurance of salvation.
Speaker 2Yeah. Assurance of salvation means, am I really saved? How many of you know you are saved? If you are believers in Jesus, yeah. That's how to have assurance. Then, you also have the security of your salvation. Are you secure? You have to be assured and secure. Security means, will I be saved? Will I be saved? It's very important that if you're surprised with that, when you go to be, to say that, what if christianity's mental
Speaker 3distinction ended there because of
Speaker 2unresolved guilt
Speaker 3in fact you are welcome man of god
Speaker 2many of the christian mental institutions in
Speaker 1american europe ended there because they thought they had blasphemed the holy ghost or we have committed on partner bossing
Speaker 2yeah yeah they felt they have committed or committed on partner also so christian psychologists totally this is number one major problem with christian's mental decisions they believe they have committed a fact that was or they have blasphemed the holy ghost and many of them are in the mental institutions
Speaker 3trouble just because of guilt but we need to be secure concerning our salvation
Speaker 2other than that you can't enjoy the christian life just imagine a wife who's not secured about her husband because of the faithfulness of her husband she's not secured to affect the marriage the union will be affected or just imagine you and your father a little boy with his father and his father tells him i want you to be careful how
Speaker 3you live because if you sing against me i will disown you
Speaker 2so this little boy lives in the house with the consciousness that one day he's
Speaker 1gonna get his own way and what he does now by
Speaker 2that he's just going to do security that he began to give him what we call a set he makes with his father on the grounds of fear because he cannot tell at what time he's come to his father's displeasure
Speaker 1or a degree of this pleasure he can incur he does not have to quantify a level of faithfulness which of course is politics only so now instead of father son
Speaker 2relationship based on love what is based on fear the reason why he is displeased by his father's displeasure is because he is displeased by his father's displeasure and whenever your relationship with god is based on fear will be a problem because about this fear has come he has come so when you have this relationship with your father what will happen is that you have the torment of guilt torment of condemnation always bombarding you but what you said there was love you are so much loved that's the kind of relationship you want us to see there are people who have been seen to help us keep children from not living anyhow so having a quest to keep god's children working well with god we think that the best way to do it is to threaten them with losing their salvation because when if they are conscious of losing their salvation they think that they will actually accept god well but yeah yeah that was approached from the diet to help those people become thin and said god well in all faiths instead of um passionately with the own sexy of their
Speaker 1salvation with the fact that they can lose their salvation the truth is that when you are unsecured by your salvation joy will go
Speaker 2your joy is founded on your security see if i'm not secure i'm not secure i'm not secure i'm not secure see if i'm not secure i'm not secure for instance let's say you're in your marriage but you're not secure your marriage cannot last yeah but when once you are here i'm telling you that all secure people actually live the same when you're not secure you serve but when you are secured and you can handle it from the father's love i personally i started living better when i got to the when i became secure i had my salvation and i got to know that that's my concern my worship changed my life changed yeah my work of holiness increased hallelujah when i got to know how much it loves me and how secure i was
Speaker 1pertaining to my
Speaker 2salvation very important praise god
Speaker 3so you have to be secure
Speaker 2it is the most important thing i'm sending you a sandwich hallelujah so what has to treat hebrew chapter 6 i don't mean i answer certain questions in that chapter praise god hallelujah that when you are reading the book of hebrews it is good to get a good foundation from selling the bible how many people have read the book of hebrews
Speaker 3it's nice it's nice but you may not understand
Speaker 2what i'm thinking is to memorize the book of hebrews that's the first book i memorized i started my journey memorizing five books okay so i've memorized the book of hebrews but that doesn't have the revelation the revelation is different from quoting the scripture
Speaker 3hallelujah now see the book of hebrews is written for us it's not written to us it is
Speaker 2written for us it is
Speaker 3written to the hebrews
Speaker 2it's not written to ghanians it's not written to nigeria so you must understand that it is written to who the hebrews who are the jews it is good to understand that until you understand for whom the book is written you have some challenges in the interpretation i believe that it is written to you and then you see if you check the epistles what are possible to the fissions you know how he puts off his wedding he would say to the saints which are deficient when he's writing to the colossians he will say to the same future that's colossal when he's writing to the cassalonians he will say to the church of the cassalonians so though he's writing to the people of hebrews he's writing to the
Speaker 1efficient ephesus he specifies it is the saints who are there my letters to the saints who are there you know he's writing to collusions he was specified it is to the saints who are in collision it's a loneliness just to the church
Speaker 2but when he came to hebrews he says to the hebrews no no specific direction there's nothing like a to the saints among the hebrews is it for the hebrews so his scope of reference is why that he's writing to the jews he's addressing both the jewish believers and also the professional deals you know we have among christians we have possessing this one who says of eternal life these were professors they just claim truly they are not also because they're wider school praise god so the title is close to the hebrews to the hebrews for the hebrews to the hebrews that is why classical technologies is difficult for them to understand
Speaker 1but it is easier for the gene to understand like marcus without father that doesn't mean he didn't have father that doesn't mean he didn't have the mother it's a jewish horizon it is their language that are like it's like a code even among us
Speaker 2some technologies that we use have translated into english it's very difficult
Speaker 3what is that boil up so because
Speaker 2he works for the hebrews he used he brings him hebrew idioms which they could understand better
Speaker 3where is god now so
Speaker 2in the book of hebrews the first chapter he now pursued us that jesus is
Speaker 3greater than the angels see jesus is greater than the angels chapter and he told us jesus is greater than the angels and he told us jesus is greater than the angels and he told us jesus is greater than the angels
Speaker 2and he tells of jesus is greater than joshua five he says jesus is greater than you know he's higher than the only christian so now he's supplicating convincing them that jesus you know these genes they hold on so much to moses and they hold on so much to the old testament you know jesus of faith and he's evicting jesus
Speaker 1that this jesus is he's greater than all of them he's greater than all of them his christian is higher than the only christian they don't die this is the guy that was resurrected he belonged to a higher regime than my other so he's just compelling jesus
Speaker 2obviously convincing the gene that this jesus is the son of god and he's better and higher than all he created moses the owner of the house has more honor than the houses hallelujah praise god so by now i hope you understand that it was written to whom you all right let's go to chapter six
Speaker 3hallelujah all right so i'm doing part one today
Speaker 2hallelujah so since therefore you you you you , you, and i will be the first to the doctrine of christ let us go on to perfection not lame again the foundation
Speaker 3of repentance from dead works and of faithful of god praise god hallelujah back to this one the public is a jewish christian the jewish community is a jewish christian the jewish community is a jewish christian the jewish community something went hard something went hard something went hard about jesus
Speaker 2about jesus about jesus but they are still going on to the jewish but they are still going on to the jewish but they are still going on to the jewish practices we're still holding on to the jewish we're still holding on to the jewish we're still holding on to the jewish practices so the apostle said therefore leaving so the apostle said therefore leaving so the apostle said therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of christ now you may think these things are now you may think these things are now you may think these things are christian doctrines but what's the christian doctrines but what's the christian doctrines but what's the connection here i probably need to stand up
Speaker 3connection here i
Speaker 2probably need to stand up of the God of Revelation. In chapter 5, chapter 5, Freud's end is in the scripture, the first first push, but all around his book, he said, now what is the principles of the doctrine of Christ, or the way of the beginning of Christ? He had the first teaching, the first doctrine, so the first mission of Christ in the scriptures. The first teaching of Christ in the scriptures, from the beginning. Do you remember that when Jesus rose from the dead, on the road to Emmaus, he was a typical, and he began to preach that today. The Bible says, the healing from Moses, and the modern prophets, he has started today with the modern scriptures, the things concerning himself. But Jesus began to teach Jesus, Christ began to teach Christ. The healing from Moses, not the beginning of Christ, but the beginning of Christ. He sits, doctoring, the founder, to check it carefully, he realizes that, for instance he said, "I'll be sure to attend for a quarter." He realizes that nothing else is not mentioned in any way in the epistles. It's only mentioned twice in Hebrews, the whole of the New Testament. It's only mentioned in the Hebrews. We've got the juice of what the dead works for. You see, in the Old Testament, in ceremonial instance, he touched the corpse, he touched death. Even the reptile, the Elisa following him, he encountered death. When anything dies and you touch the body, you can encounter death. There are so many things to do with breaking the law about the cause of the dead works. Of course, we have different definitions of dead works, but it's a literal one. It's that. We try. So, this is typically, this is the translation of the Jewish nature. That's why it's so important. And this one says, "Take toward God." That is the Old Testament. This is the only place it's mentioned that we believe in the New Testament. We believe in it because it's our personal belief. The New Testament doctrine is not "take toward God." The Old Testament doctrine, we don't believe in God, we see it. It says, "Take toward our Lord Jesus Christ." Acts 20:21. In the Old Testament, they have to believe in God. But in the New, it is not believing in God. It is believing in Jesus Christ. Look at what Paul puts. He says, "Testify both to Jews and also to Greeks. Repent thou toward God." See, this is the New Testament program. And faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. But, you know, when you watch the Hebrews, it says, "Repent thou from dead works." And it says, "Faith toward God." Yeah, it was very important to the Old Testament to believe in God. But in the New Testament, you can't believe in God and be deceived. But there are many religions that believe in God. Do you understand that? What distinguishes us from other religions is what? You are saying that there are many ways to God. Yeah. But, you go to primary schools. Secondary schools. This one has been given. That's why we have to watch which happened. Go to primary schools, go to GSS, DHS. And they tell you confidently, even if you are born again. That, ah, the Muslims are our brothers. There are many ways to God. Because they've been taught in school. Jesus is one. Muhammad is one. Then the cross of Christ is going to be finished. It cannot ever happen. But there were many ways to God. How did you come to be a man and to suffer all this? All the pittance and all the. But the cross, like the serpent, doesn't give any meaning. There were other ways to God. There's only one way. Jesus said, "I'm the way." There is God. Jesus said, "I'm the way." There is no other way. But it's faith toward God. There is no other way. No other way. Christian baptism this word is used only four times in the great testament let me show you how it has been used which can even have been translated baptism let me show you other places where it is used the same word is used for our Christian baptism the word baptism is used 80 times which is different from this one but this one is used four times let me show where it is used Hebrews 9 verse 10 Hebrews 9 verse 10 it says which stood only which stood only in just talking about the law which stood only in meat and drinks and diverse washers
Speaker 1that's the same word diverse washers and carnal ordinances imposed on them until the time of reformation so diverse washers let's see where it is used again mark 7 verse 4 and mark 7 verse 8 let's see where it is used again mark 7 verse 4 and mark 7 verse 8 and when they come from market the and when they come from market the and when they come from market the market except they wash the it's not and market except they wash the it's not and market except they wash the it's not and many other things there be which they many other things there be which they many other things there be which they have risk which they have received to have risk which they have received to have risk which they have received to hood as a washing of cups and pots and hood as a washing of cups and pots and hood as a washing of cups and pots and brazen and brazen vessels and of tables brazen and brazen vessels and of tables brazen and brazen vessels and of tables all of this were all testament rituals all of this were all testament rituals all of this were all testament rituals this is the same word washing verse 8 this is the same word washing verse 8 this is the same word washing verse 8 it is used four times washing washing it is used four times washing washing it is used four times washing washing washing but that said baptism it's washing but that said baptism it's washing but that said baptism it's actually washing okay and here laying actually washing okay and here laying actually washing okay and here laying aside the commandment of God you could aside the commandment of God you could aside the commandment of God you could the tradition of men as a washing of the tradition of men as a washing of the tradition of men as a washing of thoughts and it is different from thoughts and it is different from thoughts and it is different from Christian baptism different liquid Christian baptism different liquid Christian baptism different liquid baptism is used 80 times for our baptism baptism is used 80 times for our baptism baptism is used 80 times for our baptism praise God so if you would teach these praise God so if you would teach these praise God so if you would teach these things then you have to teach them in things then you have to teach them in things then you have to teach them in the light of the New Testament the light of the New Testament the light of the New Testament realities given this as a foundation of realities given this as a foundation of realities given this as a foundation of the type in a shadow you can teach it the type in a shadow you can teach it the type in a shadow you can teach it teach it but aha bring bring the types teach it but aha bring bring the types teach it but aha bring bring the types and exalt the anti type which is Christ and exalt the anti type which is Christ and exalt the anti type which is Christ bring the shadows and exalt the okay let's go to verse 4 for it is okay let's go to verse 4 for it is okay let's go to verse 4 for it is impossible for those who were once impossible for those who were once impossible for those who were once enlightened and have tasted of the enlightened and have tasted of the enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and were made partakers of heavenly gift and were made partakers of heavenly gift and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost and have tasted the good the Holy Ghost and have tasted the good the Holy Ghost and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the world word of God and the powers of the world word of God and the powers of the world to come if they shall fall away to to come if they shall fall away to to come if they shall fall away to renew them again to repent and sin renew them again to repent and sin the crucifix now we need to understand
Speaker 3these verses because
Speaker 1i mean first of all i want to say again that distance the book of hebrews was written to the hebrews can you see can you see after me they were not written to ghanians they were not written to europeans they were not written they were not written to us but they were written for us so we learn from it so now let's go back
Speaker 3to verse four
Speaker 1hebrews 6 verse 4 for it is impossible why nlt no king james for it is impossible for those for those how many of us are familiar with this verse how many of us are familiar with this verse it says it is impossible for those who are once enlightened and have tasted the heavenly gift and and have tasted the heavenly gift and and have tasted the heavenly gift and were made particles of the holy ghost were made particles of the holy ghost were made particles of the holy ghost let's go on i want to read it again and let's go on i want to read it again and let's go on i want to read it again and have tasted the good word of god and have tasted the good word of god and have tasted the good word of god and the powers of the world to come the powers of the world to come the powers of the world to come if they shall fall away if they shall fall away if they shall fall away to renew them again to repentance seeing they crucify to themselves the son of god afresh and put him to an open shame praise god okay praise god okay praise god okay so we want to understand what implies so we want to understand what implies so we want to understand what implies these verses implies and the concept of these verses implies and the concept of these verses implies and the concept of a christian losing his salvation okay a christian losing his salvation okay a christian losing his salvation okay praise god but to begin praise god but to begin praise god but to begin let's go back to verse four back to let's go back to verse four back to let's go back to verse four back to verse four verse four verse four okay okay okay for a for a it is it is impossible for those now it is it is impossible for those now it is it is impossible for those now say doze doze doze those days we say if the bible is yours those days we say if the bible is yours those days we say if the bible is yours and the line they were dozed and the line they were dozed and the line they were dozed now if the bible is yours you can highlight if the bible is yours you can highlight if the bible is yours you can highlight the word the word the word those okay it is impossible for do say those okay it is impossible for do say those okay it is impossible for do say doze doze doze let's go we're once enlightened and have let's go we're once enlightened and have let's go we're once enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and were made tasted of the heavenly gift and were made tasted of the heavenly gift and were made particles of particles of the holy ghost particles of particles of the holy ghost particles of particles of the holy ghost the next verse the next verse the next verse and have tasted and have tasted and have tasted the good word of god and the powers of the good word of god and the powers of the good word of god and the powers of the world to come if they now say they if they now say they if they now say they i want to say they okay if they shall i want to say they okay if they shall i want to say they okay if they shall fall away fall away fall away to renew them again to repentance seeing to renew them again to repentance seeing to renew them again to repentance seeing they crucify to themselves the son of they crucify to themselves the son of they crucify to themselves the son of god are fresh and put him to an open god are fresh and put him to an open god are fresh and put him to an open shame for the earth which bring drinketh in for the earth which bring drinketh in for the earth which bring drinketh in the rain that off the rain that off the rain that off that cometh off upon it and bringeth that cometh off upon it and bringeth that cometh off upon it and bringeth perhaps meet for them say them perhaps meet for them say them perhaps meet for them say them for them by whom it is dressed receive for them by whom it is dressed receive for them by whom it is dressed receive the blessing from god the blessing from god the blessing from god the next verse but that which the next verse but that which the next verse but that which beareth thoughts and parties is rejected and is now unto cason whose beareth thoughts and parties is rejected and is now unto cason whose end is to be banned the next verse but beloved we are persuaded of better but beloved we are persuaded of better but beloved we are persuaded of better things of you and things that accompany things of you and things that accompany things of you and things that accompany salvation salvation salvation though with that speak now though with that speak now though with that speak now so you you see paul's wedding so you you see paul's wedding so you you see paul's wedding now now now he's addressing a certain category of he's addressing a certain category of he's addressing a certain category of people people people now he said now he said 2. D. them. In English, how do you call it? Third person. Third party. Those. They. Them. And after talking about that, he says, no, come back to, let's go down. After talking about those, them, they, he says, but you, beloved, but beloved, we are persuaded of better things of you. Now, you is what? Second person. Now, he spoke of they. Them. Those. After addressing that, he says, but, beloved. You know, beloved is used for the church, the Christians. It's like saying, darling, those who are well-loved. But, you see, but is a negation. But, beloved, we are persuaded of better things of you. So, he distinguishes between the you and they. You and those. You and them. But, for you, you are the beloved. And you people are saved and we have the accompanying effect of salvation even following you. We have the accompanying effect of salvation following you. You are the beloved. We have the effect of salvation following you, but you. Praise God. Are you following? Alright. Alright. Let's go back to verse four. Okay. So, that is why I said that he was addressing a wider people. Okay. It is impossible for those who are once enlightened. Now, the people he's addressing, the category he's addressing, they can't repent again. So, he's not talking about you are maybe let's say you're falling or you're backslidden. But, there's a room for you to repent. Is that not so? We do altar calls and you come crying to God and, you know, you repent. But, the category he's talking about, there is no way they can repent again. The will to repent is not even there again. Here, the category of people he's addressing. He said for them, it is not possible. Not that God has done it. They themselves, it's not possible for them. Okay. Now, what does it mean to be enlightened? Enlightened. Enlightened. They were first enlightened. Now, this group of people, first of all, received a revelation of who Jesus is. They were enlightened. They got to understand that this is who he is. They got the illumination, the revelation that Jesus is actually the Messiah. They came to light. This is Jesus. Yeah. Apostle Paul, Apostle 1 says, But call into remembrance the former days in which after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of affliction. That's Hebrews 10 verse 32. It's the same word for to be enlightened is to be illuminated. Praise God. It's like a prodigal son who went away and came to himself. He was awakened. A kind of awareness. I can go to my father's house. What am I doing? Hallelujah. Okay. It is impossible for those who were once enlightened. Let's just go back to our verse. Once enlightened. And have tasted of the heavenly gift. Now, the heavenly gift is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the heavenly gift. It's a heavenly gift. Okay. These guys, they were first enlightened to see who Jesus is.
Speaker 3Okay. And they tasted of the heavenly gift. They tasted of the heavenly gift.
Speaker 1The truth is that. I like the way you are. You are paying attention. The truth is that. These people, they are tasted. They are tasters. They are not drinkers. They are tasters. You see. Jesus says, if any man tastes, let him come unto me and drink. They were tasted. They had an initial experience of Christ. But they are not yet drinkers. They are not yet drinkers. R.A. Torrey. Some of you know I.R.A. Torrey. Do you know I.R.A. Torrey? Yeah. Very powerful man of God in the 1800s. He says that these verses, this was his summary. He says they are a quickening shot of regeneration. A quickening shot of regeneration. They have been quickened to know about Jesus, to be illuminated, but they are not yet regenerated. That's what's now. So you have to follow carefully. It is true, but it is not possible with a Gentile. It is only possible with a Hebrew, the Jew. Listen. Now, so they were enlightened. They were tasted. Then the next word is the word, they were made partakers of the Holy Ghost. Okay. Now, the word partaker of the Holy Ghost here. Normally, when the Bible uses we, partaker of the Holy Ghost, the Bible uses the word koinonia or koinonos. But the word here that is used for them is the word metakos. Metakos. Now, according to top Greek scholars like Kenneth Wust, they tell us that metakos is partnering, it's like a partnership without possession. Koinonos is when you are in the thing. By this one, you are merely, as if you are a partner, but you have not partaken of it. You have not possessed it. So it's an initial place, but you are not in it. So the Bible didn't use the word koinonos or koinonia, but metakos. Praise God. All right. Now, the good word of God, the powers of the age to come is a gift of the Spirit. Now, listen. Remember that the Jews were already in covenant with God, true or false. Now, the Jews already knew God. They were already in covenant with God. The Bible says to what advantage then had the Jew and to what profit is there of the circumcision? It's a match every way, chiefly because unto them, they were committed to the oracles of God. So we realize that in Romans 3, verse 1, God already committed his oracles, his word, his revelation, his prophetic utterances. It was with the Jew, because with the Jew, they were already in covenant with God. Do you remember that Saul was one time prophesied by the Holy Ghost? Saul prophesied. Okay. Now, let's talk about Judas. Judas. Do you know that Judas healed the sick? Now, do you know that Judas casted out devils? He was among the twelve who healed the sick, who casted out devils. Judas sat under Jesus and heard from Jesus, received from Jesus the good word of God. Judas haven't endured all of these privileges. Do you know that Judas, there was not a single time he called Jesus Lord? Now, he never called Jesus Lord. At the supper, Jesus says, one of you will betray me. One of you will betray me. The Bible says, all the disciples one by one said, Lord, is it I? Lord, is it I? But when he came to Judas, Judas says, Rabbi, is it I? It's serious. All the disciples said, Lord, is it I? But when he came to Judas, he says, Rabbi, is it I? He never saw him as Lord. He only related to him as teacher, Rabbi. Meanwhile, this guy, I'm telling you, had healed the sick, cast out devils, heard the good word of God from Jesus, yet, he was short of acknowledging his Lordship. It is possible only to the Jew. Now, look at when Jesus came. Even when Jesus, now, before, when Jesus was born, there were people like Simeon, who were filled with the Holy Ghost. People like Anna, who were filled with the Holy Ghost. Because they belonged to a covenant that gave them those privileges. Now, if they had been alive after the resurrection of Jesus, though they were participating in the Holy Ghost, though they were engaging in the benefit of the covenant, if they have been alive and have seen who jesus is and be enlightened and not so these are the people we are talking about because he wrote to the hebrews so if these guys they could have come to a place where they know everything they know the messiah but they're rejecting the people he's talking about apollos now there was a man called apollos it's so interesting that apollos the bible says he was fervent in the spirit the bible says he was a jew but he was in alexandria he was fervent in spirit what does it mean perfect he engaged the holy ghost and the bible says he was mighty in the scriptures but he didn't know jesus all that he knew was john the baptism of john all he knew was the baptism of john that's what he knew that is why he wrote to who the hebrews we gentiles were never in covenant with god but these hebrews i knew all of these privileges were given to them so this this was it some of them were enlightened see after engaging all of these benefits they got to know that jesus is the lord and everything but they still went back to temple sacrifices and they still went back to the temple sacrifices and they went back to temple sacrifices to sacrifice bulls and goats that was their problem it's like the ten spies who saw the ten spies in kadesh binya they saw the promised lands they saw everything but it was their choice they saw it but they didn't believe they started to go back they saw the relatives of the land they didn't receive it if the prodigal son had been enlightened come to himself yet he didn't go to the father he would have been in such a case praise god so he wrote to the hebrews who were already in covenant with god who already had the word of god who already had the spirit of god who already had all of these things it is possible for them to be enlightened and to taste of all these realities like that's like soul all of these people look at apollos and what he knew but like harry torres said like kenneth roost but yet so we call them professors they mentally are sent to the truth but they were not yet possessors of eternal life but they were not yet possessors of eternal life but yet so we call them professors they mentally are sent to the truth but they were not yet possessors of eternal life in the same way now when you go to hebrews chapter 10 there's 25 let's see hebrews 10 25 26. it's addressing a similar issue there and i'll come back not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together as it is the manner of as the manner of some is but exalting one another and so much the more as you see that they're approaching now some of the some of the hebrew guys were not going to church and so much the more as you see that they're approaching now uh-huh do you know why because they were afraid uh-huh do you know why because they were afraid uh-huh do you know why because they were afraid of persecution of persecution because uh-huh because in those days among the because uh-huh because in those days among the because uh-huh because in those days among the hebrews hebrews hebrews uh-huh if you ignore if you join the uh-huh if you ignore if you join the uh-huh if you ignore if you join the church that means you have abandoned church that means you have abandoned church that means you have abandoned temple sacrifices temple sacrifices temple sacrifices uh-huh and that means uh-huh and that means uh-huh and that means that the book of hebrews was written just that the book of hebrews was written just that the book of hebrews was written just seven years before the destruction seven years before the destruction seven years before the destruction of jerusalem of jerusalem of jerusalem yeah and and and the sacrifices actually were going to the sacrifices actually were going to the sacrifices actually were going to end anyway because of the destruction end anyway because of the destruction end anyway because of the destruction so these hebrew christian brethren were so these hebrew christian brethren were so these hebrew christian brethren were afraid afraid afraid so some of them couldn't go to the church so some of them couldn't go to the church so some of them couldn't go to the church they want to because going to church they want to because going to church they want to because going to church means abandoning temple sacrifices means abandoning temple sacrifices means abandoning temple sacrifices so they were hiding so they were hiding not exposing themselves from going to not exposing themselves from going to not exposing themselves from going to church because of fear of persecution because of fear of persecution because of fear of persecution look at the next verse look at the next look at the next verse look at the next look at the next verse look at the next verse verse verse and it says if we sin willfully and it says if we sin willfully and it says if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of after we have received the knowledge of after we have received the knowledge of the truth there remaineth no more the truth there remaineth no more the truth there remaineth no more sacrifice persons you know what it means sacrifice persons you know what it means sacrifice persons you know what it means what it means is that what it means is that what it means is that if we sin willfully king james doesn't single sin is worth for ever since you're saying this it's not talking about the sin you see this morning that's not what he's talking about what he's saying he's talking to the hebrews what's the knowledge of the truth they had received the knowledge of the truth that jesus is the final sacrifice that after him there is no more sacrifice because as the ultimate sacrifice he paid for all and satisfies god's claims of justice there's no more sacrificing of animals and bulls jesus is the final sacrifice having received this knowledge of the truth they still went back into temple sacrifices so he wanted him to know that if we sin with the knowledge knowing that jesus is the ultimate sacrifice and we are still offering animal sacrifices there is no more sacrifice of sons those sacrifices cannot take away your sins again those sacrifices can no more because god has already brought his final sacrifice which is christ so those sacrificing of bulls and lambs and is useless and empty because it will not take away your sins again praise god so that's why i said they were afraid of leaving the temple they abandoned themselves from church services and engaging themselves in temple sacrifices and potter's not telling them that you shouldn't forsake the church the way the reason we're forsaking the church is because they were engaging in themselves in temple sacrifices that he's telling them that look the sacrifices you are sacrificing it is useless after receiving the knowledge of the truth that jesus is the ultimate sacrifice it is useless and aimless committing yourself to bulls and goats and animals praise god but it was surprising that some of these hebrews were mentally ascending to the truth they had received the knowledge of the truth but they had not received the truth himself you see sinning willfully is actually rejecting christ after they had received his knowledge so they had received the knowledge of the truth but they had not embraced the truth now for further proof let's go let's go down and you see what he's saying yeah so if you now say you're sacrificing animals and bulls and those things there is a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation which are devour his adversaries the next verse okay the next verse how much of how much sorrow punishment suppose he and he's talking about the same person the same category shall he be caught worthy who has trodden under for the son of god and counted the blood of the covenant wherewith he was sanctified and holy thing and actually insulted the spirit of grace now now if if you go sacrificing bulls and goats whilst you have received the knowledge of who jesus is what are you saying you are counting the blood of the covenants and on with him and on with that means you don't believe you are now despising the blood of jesus and equating the blood of jesus to the blood of you understand uh-huh so if jesus's blood is ordinary then he is not god then it cannot redeem us so is this same hebrews who have received his knowledge but they are just mentally sent into the truth but in actuality they are not they are not possessors of eternal life praise god please are you really following but let me show you what will confuse you here no the same verse please don't move uh-huh it says that who had trodden under for the son of god yeah and had counted the blood of the covenant wherewith he was sanctified so you may think he's talking about the christian because of the word sanctified you should know how the word sanctified is used in the bible this is what is called initial sanctification you can call it positional sanctification this sanctification is what is called pray praise salvation ministries of the holy spirit praise god for instance for instance first corinthians 7 verse 14. let's see first corinthians 7 verse 14. first corinthians 7 verse 14. look at what it says this is for the unbelieving husband let's say you are married but your husband is an unbeliever i'm not saying go and marry an unbeliever but you were all unbelievers to begin with but you give your life to christ but your husband is still not a believer the bible says that because you are a believer you you sanctify your unbelieving husband because of you your unbelieving husband is sanctified that doesn't mean he's saved he has to receive jesus but he's sanctified he has been set apart to enjoy certain privileges because of you Look at it. for the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife this is positional sanctification and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband or else were your children unclean but now they are holy it says your children are also sanctified so you are a believer you marry i know i'm not saying where am i an unbeliever you understand what the preacher said we can marry unbelievers okay we're all unbelievers and one of you gave his life to christ the bible says that if the woman is a christian and the man is not a christian the woman sanctifies the man so much that if you give birth your children are also holy they are sanctified just because of you so god treats your family as a christian family and blesses your family as a christian family although you are the only one who is saved but yet they also must be saved but because you are in the rest they are sanctified they are set apart to enjoy certain privileges hallelujah yeah so that's how sanctification is used the moment jesus died the nation israel was sanctified set apart praise god yeah so you see the enlightened these guys were sanctified the sanctification is a pre-salvation ministry of the holy ghost in fact for want of time you can also check second thessalonians 2 verse 13. second thessalonians 2 verse 13. we are bound to give thanks always to god for you brethren beloved of the lord because god had from the beginning chosen you to salvation now how were you saved how were you chosen to salvation they went through by means of the sanctification of the spirit and the belief of the truth so two things preceded your salvation yeah the sanctification of the spirit and faith in the word preceded your salvation those two things is called the praise salvation ministries of the holy ghost he set you apart cause you to believe the truth before you were saved hallelujah
Speaker 3yeah praise god
Speaker 1now so literally he wrote to the hebrews you have to just examine it like a kind of forensic look and know to whom it was written carefully and examine the words especially in the original language then you understand that if you if you read these words in the original language the top grace collects all agree that what i'm talking about i'm not just saying it i've made a wide research so hallelujah you're not just saying it in the original language you're not just saying it in the original language however there's also a secondary application praise god this is my belief you see a christian a christian cannot send his salvation away but he can renounce it you cannot send your salvation away there is no son that can cancel it negate your salvation no because now listen nobody goes to hell because of his sons nobody goes to hell because of the action of your sons you know why because it has been paid for people go to hell be of refusal they refuse to receive the payments for their sins the reason people go to hell is the rejection of jesus because jesus is the payment for their sins they don't go to hell because of their sins because those sins have been paid for because god was in christ reconciling the world unto himself not imputing their trespasses unto them because jesus christ himself he made an end of sons he finished the transgression he brought him he made reconciliation for iniquity and brought in everlasting righteousness he jesus paid for our sons from adam to the last person in adamic race it has been paid fully satisfied so people don't go to hell because of their sins they go to hell because they are saying we don't want the payments for our sons we want to settle it ourselves yeah they go to hell because of the rejection of jesus anyone who is in hell is they rejected jesus please are you there yes they are they are because they rejected jesus that's why they are there so so i said you cannot send your salvation away but there's a possibility of renouncing it so when it's study history people like demas they must actually became a a pagan priest in smina he became a pagan yeah he became a pagan priest in smina so this is how to renounce you see he became a pagan yeah yeah he became a pagan priest in minor so this is how to renounce you see
Speaker 3so this is how to renounce you see
Speaker 1to renounce jesus you have to qualify because if i don't say that you may think that oh sometimes you backslide and sometimes you are angry with the lord because some some prayers are not answered sometimes you don't even understand what god is doing in your life you know and you know and sometimes um you know you you have some such scores to settle with god aha that's not what i'm talking about you know sometimes the secondary schools when you go to school altar call people come to give their life to christianity sometimes the secondary schools when you go to school altar call people come to give their life to christianity about about about seven times in the seven in the ten seven times in the seven in the ten seven times in the seven in the ten today the backslide tomorrow they are in today the backslide tomorrow they are in today the backslide tomorrow they are in that's not what i'm talking about that's not what i'm talking about that's not what i'm talking about yeah so i'm talking about those there are so i'm talking about those there are so i'm talking about those there are people people people who have worked with god for a long time who have worked with god for a long time who have worked with god for a long time not under any confusion not under any confusion not under any persuasion they have also not under any persuasion they have also not under any persuasion they have also experienced god in diverse measures experienced god in diverse measures experienced god in diverse measures but they come to a place they said lord but they come to a place they said lord but they come to a place they said lord god i don't want you god i don't want you god i don't want you they are not under any persuasion you're they are not under any persuasion you're they are not under any persuasion you're accessing your will accessing your will accessing your will i'm i'm fed up go your way let me go my i'm i'm fed up go your way let me go my i'm i'm fed up go your way let me go my way way way yeah people like darwin darwin finished yeah people like darwin darwin finished yeah people like darwin darwin finished the bible school you know that the bible school you know that the bible school you know that yeah yeah yeah actually renounce jesus christ actually renounce jesus christ
Speaker 3actually renounce jesus christ yeah
Speaker 1so i don't want you i don't think he will i don't want you i don't think he will i don't want you i don't think he will force himself on you force himself on you force himself on you so renouncing no son can cancel so renouncing no son can cancel so renouncing no son can cancel salvation salvation salvation but renouncing it by but renouncing it by but renouncing it by your will your will your will and that's one and that's one and that's one it's not even allowed at a certain it's not even allowed at a certain it's not even allowed at a certain stage stage stage you must qualify that is why you must qualify that is why you must qualify that is why but you see if someone persists in sin but you see if someone persists in sin but you see if someone persists in sin sin hardens the heart sin hardens the heart sin hardens the heart you know the bible tells us in hebrews you know the bible tells us in hebrews you know the bible tells us in hebrews three yeah sin can harden the heart three yeah sin can harden the heart three yeah sin can harden the heart that is why you remember in first that is why you remember in first that is why you remember in first corinthians 5 there was a guy who slept corinthians 5 there was a guy who slept corinthians 5 there was a guy who slept with his father's wife with his father's wife with his father's wife and the guy will not stop you could see and the guy will not stop you could see and the guy will not stop you could see the guy it's not that he fell into the the guy it's not that he fell into the the guy it's not that he fell into the sun it is his profession he was enjoying it and when you mention he was enjoying it and when you mention he was enjoying it and when you mention it the guy too is proud it the guy too is proud it the guy too is proud paul says he was not even mourning he paul says he was not even mourning he paul says he was not even mourning he was hey come over there what are you was hey come over there what are you was hey come over there what are you talking about talking about talking about you know so the guy you know so the guy you know so the guy was proud there was no sign of was proud there was no sign of was proud there was no sign of repentance there was no repentance there was no repentance there was no aha he was in it i believe aha he was in it i believe aha he was in it i believe took a long time you know what paul took a long time you know what paul took a long time you know what paul did did did okay so when you meet in the name of the okay so when you meet in the name of the okay so when you meet in the name of the lord my spirit will be with you deliver such and want to satan deliver deliver such and want to satan deliver deliver such and want to satan deliver him to satan for the destruction of his him to satan for the destruction of his him to satan for the destruction of his flesh flesh flesh that his spirit may be saved in the day that his spirit may be saved in the day that his spirit may be saved in the day of the lord you know what it means of the lord you know what it means of the lord you know what it means so now it's amazing this is authority god gave it's amazing this is authority god gave it's amazing this is authority god gave the church the church the church this is saying whosoever since he this is saying whosoever since he this is saying whosoever since he remits they are remitted whosoever since he remits they are remitted whosoever since he retains talking about the effects of retains talking about the effects of retains talking about the effects of jason's now what it means is that jason's now what it means is that jason's now what it means is that to release him to satan means that now to release him to satan means that now to release him to satan means that now satan has full access to his body satan has full access to his body satan has full access to his body so satan is going to just so satan is going to just so satan is going to just testing testing testing keep him with all sort of sicknesses and keep him with all sort of sicknesses and keep him with all sort of sicknesses and diseases diseases diseases so that preferably he dies the idea is so that preferably he dies the idea is so that preferably he dies the idea is that in the course of the pain that in the course of the pain that in the course of the pain he may still repent so paul's idea was he may still repent so paul's idea was he may still repent so paul's idea was that so that though the devil destroys that so that though the devil destroys that so that though the devil destroys his flesh his spirit is saved his flesh his spirit is saved his flesh his spirit is saved so now we want to let we the process is so now we want to let we the process is so now we want to let we the process is to let him go to go home earlier to let him go to go home earlier to let him go to go home earlier to go just die and go home to go just die and go home to go just die and go home because because he's all repentant after because he's all repentant after because he's all repentant after a while his heart begins to be hardened a while his heart begins to be hardened a while his heart begins to be hardened and looking at how the guy was behaving and looking at how the guy was behaving and looking at how the guy was behaving his heart could be hardened to the degree his heart could be hardened to the degree his heart could be hardened to the degree where he can even renounce the lord where he can even renounce the lord where he can even renounce the lord so delivering him to satan is even so delivering him to satan is even so delivering him to satan is even grace so that his spirit will be saved but so that his spirit will be saved but so that his spirit will be saved but thank god the guy came to himself thank god the guy came to himself thank god the guy came to himself in second corinthians we saw the guy came in second corinthians we saw the guy came in second corinthians we saw the guy came to himself to himself to himself praise god so among the jews there are praise god so among the jews there are praise god so among the jews there are certain people certain people certain people let's see second peter 2 let's see second peter 2 let's see second peter 2 verse 21 and 22. now he's talking about a certain group now he's talking about a certain group now he's talking about a certain group of people of people of people the professors of religion now these the professors of religion now these the professors of religion now these words were used by the 1800 words were used by the 1800 words were used by the 1800 christians christians christians yeah they use the words professor do you yeah they use the words professor do you yeah they use the words professor do you know that there are i actually lived with someone for how many years i know someone who was a church leader for more than 30 years yeah but he had not given his life to christ yeah john wesley gave his life to christ at 36 after preaching for many years he wasn't even had not given his life to christ john wesley he he was a he was a priest preached out to 36 before he gave his life to christ so i lived with this person and all my life was a church leader all my life was a church leader uh for 30 years and he died this this is this is this was my experience so when he died i felt this man i was wondering where he was so i was just sitting down when he died after some few weeks one day i was sitting just in my room and i said lord where is he is he with you you know i just asked the lord if i i wasn't really expecting an answer you know some of the things you just tell the lord and you are not really expecting any answer because if i didn't even know god will answer me there are certain things god has easily answered have you realized that so it's like where is that person i knew god would not answer but god really answered so when i said lord where is he when i said where is he i saw luke luke 1623 i said lord where is he i saw luke 1623 so i quickly took my bible i tend to look 1623 the first thing is and in hell yeah and in hell so i knew the man was in hell and i guess so i said so this man didn't give his life to christ i remember this man who hit me i i went to you know i went to preach no i went for a half night with two people one went to the club in the same room and me i went to half night when we came back i went to the club or spade you go and sleep and for me they stripped my my dress everything bareback with wire 50 lashes they plowed just for and i was 14 years i was 14 years just for oh yes so you know i'll just remember i was remembering all of these things this man if was a believer well he had done that to me at all but i was so shocked that he has been a church leader yeah yeah you may think that oh maybe there are people in churches who have not given their lives to jesus it's a surprise Kenneth Hagin said one day he was preaching then he made an altar call and an evangelist who had been preaching for 44 years came to receive Christ evangelist, so Hagin said he was so amazed at what was happening so the guy received Christ, so after the service he called him and said why did you come forward? The evangelist said, I have never received Jesus he said, I have confessed my sins but I have never confessed his lordship it's a different thing yes and we have taught in bible school and in different occasions one occasion a pastor came to see me in chambers it's a secret, can you lead me to Christ? by what you are teaching I realize that I have not given my life to Christ this is a pastor and it happened again the following year I was so shocked I asked, are you sure? by the way the guy was weeping I was tempted to believe him are you sure you are not giving your life to Christ? so it can be a professor not a possessor now look, let's go back to the verse and you will see now let's see verse 22 but it has happened unto them according to the true proverb the dog is tending to his own vomit again and the sow, the sow is the pig that is washed to her wallowing in the men now he's referring to not possessing Christians but professing Christians have you realized that it's as if he's washed he has received the praise and sanctification ministry of the Holy Ghost he's been enlightened but no matter what he does he's still a pig God's children are never referred to as pig or dog we are the lost sheep so have you realized that if a sheep gets stuck in a mud it is never comfortable it wants to come back if a child of God who is truly born again gets stuck in sin they are never comfortable if a person is stuck in a mud they are never comfortable if a child of God who is truly born again gets stuck in sin they are never comfortable if a person is stuck in a mud they are never comfortable if a person is is persistent perhaps he's under a kind of bondage but deep deep within they are never happy but if a pig gets into yes this is our place haha haha so he's not using dog and the pig for the believer see the previous verse verse twenty one for if the for for for it had been better for them not to have it had been better for them not to have it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness known the way of righteousness known the way of righteousness than after they had known it to turn from than after they had known it to turn from than after they had known it to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them
Speaker 3the holy commandment delivered unto them the holy commandment delivered unto them yeah
Speaker 1yeah yeah praise god praise god praise god so this is the people he refers to us so this is the people he refers to us so this is the people he refers to us so they were professors but not possessors so they were professors but not possessors so they were professors but not possessors hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah praise god praise god praise god all right all right all right verse 15. hebrews 6 hebrews 6. hebrews 6. hebrews 6 all right let's go to verse 17. praise god praise god praise god we're in god we're in god we're in god the same chapter the same chapter the same chapter willing now he began to now he began to now he began to address address address the believers and says beloved we are the believers and says beloved we are the believers and says beloved we are persuaded of better things of you so i'm persuaded of better things of you so i'm persuaded of better things of you so i'm saying i'm persuaded of better things of saying i'm persuaded of better things of you saying i'm persuaded of better things of you saying i'm persuaded of better things of you we are his beloved and things that we are his beloved and things that we are his beloved and things that accompany salvation we have the effect of accompany salvation we have the effect of accompany salvation we have the effect of salvation in our lives salvation in our lives salvation in our lives hallelujah but those guys they are now hallelujah but those guys they are now hallelujah but those guys they are now onto the case he says they are now onto onto the case he says they are now onto onto the case he says they are now onto the case they're just the case they're just the case they're just close to their destruction but we are close to their destruction but we are close to their destruction but we are blessed blessed blessed then he proceeded on to talk about the then he proceeded on to talk about the then he proceeded on to talk about the certainty of our salvation let's see what certainty of our salvation let's see what certainty of our salvation let's see what what he says is this wearing god what he says is this wearing god what he says is this wearing god willing willing willing more abundantly more abundantly more abundantly oh malato sishibikarabakubalasanda oh malato sishibikarabakubalasanda oh malato sishibikarabakubalasanda hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah say god is willing say god is willing say god is willing to show unto the earth of promise the to show unto the earth of promise the to show unto the earth of promise the immutability of his counsel confirmed it immutability of his counsel confirmed it immutability of his counsel confirmed it by an oath by an oath by an oath what does it mean say god is willing say god is willing say god is willing but this verse doesn't say there are but this verse doesn't say there are but this verse doesn't say there are three levels here three levels here three levels here it is one thing to say god is willing another thing to say god is god is another thing to say god is god is willing another thing to say god is god is willing another thing to say god is god is willing more more more you know another thing to say god is willing more abundantly God has the desire the word more abundantly Paris certain means exceedingly abundantly above there is a desire God has there is something God wants to show you God wants you to see something and about this he's not just willing he's not just willing the more he's willing more abundantly do you want to see it there's let me give an example it's like a proud parent who have parents and they are wealthy but you don't even know the extent of their wealth but you have made a will for you but you have no idea they have willed your oil reserves for you you have willed your good minds for you they have willed your real estate for you they have willed everything yeah plantations everything for you but they can't wait to show you the depth of the riches and the things he has in store for you praise God so he says God is willing there is something that God wanted to show us he wants you to see it to see it to see it hallelujah I remembered something Ken Hagen said pleasant memory one day Ken Hagen was in the hospital and he wrote it says there was a guest that came to him at the hospital talking about Jesus Jesus walked to him at the hospital in the hospital on his bed and Jesus told him that this is what Jesus told him Hagen said it he says it is not my will he says most of my people are not living their best most of my people are not living the best I have for them he said it is not my will that my people will get sick number two it is not my will that They even go through operation. It is not my will, praise God, that they get accident. And he says, the reason my people are not living their best is because they don't even know what I have provided for them. And secondly, he says, if they know it, they have not developed their fit capacity to receive what I have for them. And thirdly, disobedience will keep them away from receiving it. Some of you should tithe. You will never tithe, but you want to prosper. Praise God. So he says that God was willing. He wants to show you. What do you think of a, you have your child in school and your child comes from school worrying, sitting down, sitting this way, worried. You know why your child is worried? Because your child is thinking about where to get money for her school fees. Your child is troubled. Where am I going to get the fees? Where am I going to, you know, disturbed, troubled. How will you feel as a proud parent? You are wasting your time. Some of you are wasting your time worrying. Wasting your time. Your worry dishonors God as if he is not a father enough for you. As if he doesn't care enough for you. As if you are on your own. You are not a bastard. You are born of God. Now he calls you the heir of promise. Do you know? Oh, do you know? Hmm. We will be shocked. If we don't learn that, we will be shocked when we get to heaven. We will go like, Jesus, so you did all these things for us. I wish I can go back. You can't go back. See, I am an heir of promise. Either God is not telling the truth, or we are not seeing something. Because he was willing to show the heir of promise. He calls us the heir of promise. Heirs of promise. Heirs of promise. What does it mean? Who is the heir? Matthew 21, verse 38. Who is the heir? Now Jesus gave us a story of a certain man who planted a vineyard and got some servants to work in a vineyard. And when it was time, he sent his servants to go and receive the fruits from the vineyard. And all those he sent, they will persecute them and they will kill some. And at last, he said, I will send my son. Maybe they will honor my son. And that's what he said. But when the husbandmen, the farmers, saw the son, they said among themselves, this is the heir. Come, let us kill him and let us seize on his inheritance. So in this verse, we understand who the heir is. Number one, the word heir is acquainted with two things. The heir, number one, is the son. The heir also deals with inheritance. Have you seen any of this? When they saw the son, they said, this is the heir. If you are, beloved, now we are the sons of God. If you are God's son, either male son or female son, you become the heir. And heirship means you have the inheritance. The inheritance is yours. The heirship means you are the lord of all. Praise God. That's the heir. Now, heirship also means that you are the lord of all. Now, the heir, as long as he's a child, different nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all. Now, if you are the heir, which means, number one, you are the son, you have the inheritance, but you're also the lord of all. That means you are the owner of everything. Can you imagine that we own everything? It's amazing. We own everything. You think you are poor? You are never poor. We own everything. The heir, he says, we are lord of all. Lord of all. You know why? If children, then heirs. Heirs of God. And joint heirs with Christ. Joint heirs means equal heirs with Christ. Whatever Jesus has, we have the same 100% entitlement. We are truly blessed. That's amazing. Lord of all. We own everything. Praise God. It's amazing. So, he calls us heirs of promise. Which promise? Heirs of promise. Now, look at it carefully. Where in God willing the more abundantly to show to the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel. The word immutability means unchangeability, that his counsel doesn't change. I want you to appreciate this verse. This is not difficult at all. God was willing to show to us that we are the heirs of promise. He wanted us to see the immutability of his counsel. What is counsel? What is counsel? Is it the same as promise? He mentioned the word promise three times. Then he mentioned counsel. Counsel is the word of the heart. The counsels are hidden. They are of the heart. All the good things God had for you, all the wonderful things he plans to concern your life, was first in his heart. They were his counsels. But when he revealed them to us to see, they became promises. Praise God. So God wanted us to see that the things he said about your life will never change. It is called the immutability of his counsel. The unchangeability. Like someone proposes to you. Someone proposes to someone. The lady was happy. When the lady went to give an answer, the guy said, "I've changed my mind." He said, "I proposed, but I have changed my mind." He said, "I've changed my mind." He said, "Man can change his mind, but God will never change his mind." He will never change his mind. The more you promise, the more you will change your mind. He will never change. His promises never change. The promises are assurances. They encompass all the good things he has given us and all the good things he will give us from the present to eternity. Praise God. Praise God. The promise was not to Abraham and to his seed. So we are the heir of the world. Do you know that God has given you the world? For the promise that he should be the heir of the world was not to Abraham and to his seed through the law but through the righteousness of faith. Yeah. And the word world here, the word for the world and its riches, its goods, its endowments, its privileges. All the good things in the world was given to Abraham. So we are the heirs of all the good things. No, you are born of God. Praise God. The Bible says that, look, God gave the world to Abraham and to his seed. We are the heir. We are inheriting the world. Then the Bible also says that we are heirs of salvation. Hebrews 1, verse 14. We are inheriting salvation. We are already saved, but our bodies are yet to be saved. So all things concerning salvation, we are inheriting it. It's ours. Our bodies are yet to be saved. We are inheriting all of that. Praise God. James 2, verse 5 says, we are heirs of the kingdom. Titus 3, verse 7 says, we are heirs of eternal life. Being justified by faith. Aha. Titus 3, verse 7, right? Hallelujah. Now listen. Where in God willing the more abundantly to show, God want to show to you, you, you, you, that all the promises he has written in his word concerning you, he doesn't change his mind. Don't think God will say, God will change his mind never to heal you again. He doesn't. There are some people who believe God doesn't, God heals sometimes, at certain times he doesn't heal. He doesn't change his mind. Aha. God will never change his mind to protect you. And to care for you. God will never change his mind to provide for you. The immutability of his counsel, his promises are unchangeable. Praise God. So you can walk in. Never think, you see sometimes you can have fear. You may think that, okay, God will not protect me again. Why is that? When you sleep, you cannot sleep well. Because you think something is defeating God. Or God is withdrawing. He never change. He never change. God is not a man that he should lie. He is not a son of man that he should repent. What it means is that all the prophecies about your life, God will never change his mind. You know, sometimes God will let someone prophesy to you. And you know that this is true. That's what God is going to do about my life. But circumstances tells you that this will never happen. You can make it not happen. But God, his counsel doesn't change. I know the thoughts I think towards you of good and not of evil to bring you to an expected end. Are you here with me? It doesn't change. What is in his word, he doesn't change. It's unchangeable. Changeable. Whether it is healing, whether it is prosperity, whether it is protection, whether it is care, whether it is forgiveness of sins. God will not say I've forgiven you or your sins. I will not remember again. Then he says, oh, I said I don't remember. Remember, but now I remember. His counsels are, it doesn't change. Yeah. The blood, watch it. Everything is as solid as God is. So you can rest in what is word. Praise God. Now let's see how the verse ends. Don't worry, we are closing very soon. Wearing God willing, the more abundantly to show to the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath. That by two immutable things in which it is impossible for God to lie. So now, the Bible says there are two unchangeable things. And if you know these two things, these two things shows that God can never lie to you. What are these two things? The promise and the oath. Say the promise and the oath. Now, the promise is okay for us. But God realized that it's not okay for. The promise is okay for God, but he realized that it's not okay for us. So God has to. Now, bring in the oath. Let me give an example. There are two lovers. Two lovers. One is traveling to U.S. to pursue his master's degree and Ph.D. Okay, so he's going to spend six years abroad. Then he promises the lady that I will surely come and marry you. But the lady loves the guy, but he's in doubt. Whether if he goes to see all the nice ladies abroad. Whether he will not change his mind. Because there are nice little ladies in New Jersey, nice ladies in Florida, nice ladies in Massachusetts, everywhere. So he is shaking in his heart. This guy, is he sure? So the promise now, maybe the guy is true. To him, he will come back. But she's doubting. So the promise is not enough for her. So that's what will happen. That's what people do in those days. Okay, now. Let's make a covenant or an oath. So we'll go somewhere, we'll cut our blood. You will pour, yes, your blood in water. You also pour and we'll mix it. You drink it, I'll drink it. Or something. We say now, now this relationship is bound by an oath. Aha, if you don't come and marry me, you are going mad. You are going mad. Okay. So why the oath? So God gave promise. But he interposed the promise by an oath. Because when the oath comes, the Bible says it is the end of all strife. It kills every doubt. You know that truly, it will surely come to pass. Nothing can defeat the oath. It's the highest irrevocable commitment. Praise God. So now, do you know, sometimes you doubt the things God will do in your life. Or the things God has said. You doubted small, small, small words. Don't doubt. All those doubts are dishonoring to God. But you feel like his promises are not enough. You know what God has done? Beside the promise, God has added his oath. You know what it means for God to add his oath to the promise? What he did to Abraham, Abraham was our representative. Because we are his seed. He gave to all of us. The oath means to swear. The Bible says God couldn't swear by anything greater. So God swore by himself. So God is saying that if my promise doesn't come to pass, I will stop being God. So God put his life on line. He put his throne on line. He swore by his Godhead. And he says it is better for me to deny my existence than for my promise not to come to pass. You see what God did? God had to swear. God doesn't have to swear. But he knows how feeble we are. Oh, foolish and slow of heart to believe. He knows how we are. We are slow of heart to believe in his word and promises. So God had to strengthen our hearts by swearing. So listen. Maybe you are believing God for healing. What do you think God will do? God has done it. You must find how to receive it. And know that, listen, God cannot lie. God cannot lie. You see, God, God cannot, cannot. I received this healing. God, God, hallelujah. And once, you know, the thing doesn't lie on God. It lies on me. I'm believing to receive it. For God, it is settled. Because the oath has confirmed the promise. And God said that by two immutable things in which it is impossible. Now, God himself doesn't lie. But he gave us these two things to assure us that, in fact, even if you think I can lie, by these two things, I cannot lie. Do you know? The immutability of the oath of kings. Kings. Herod, the Tetrarch, was having his birthday. Matthew 14, verse 7. He was having his birthday. Then, his daughter Herodias danced and it pleased him well. And he said whatever he wanted, he would give to him. But he didn't just promise. He bound the promise with an oath. He says, Whereupon he promised with an oath. Oh, please, let's go back. He promised with an oath. Verse 7, please. Matthew 14, verse 7. Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would. Acts. So, this is an earthly king. So, he said, whatever you want, I'll give it to you. So, he had to swear. With an oath. Why would you do that at your party? The next verse. This small party you are enjoying yourself, you have to swear. And she, being before, instructed of her mom, mother, said, Give me here John the Baptist's head in a charger. The greatest of all prophets, among them that are born of women, they have not risen a greater than John the Baptist. Hey, what a crime. The next verse. And the king was sorry. Nevertheless, for the oath's sake. This is human kingdom. This is what an ordinary human being could do. So much that he was sorry for what the requester had come. He wished he could change the request. But for the oath's sake, he had to still behead John the Baptist. This is the immutability of the oath of kings. When a king has sworn, there is nothing he can do. This is earthly kingdom. This is the kingdom. After their oath, they are bound by it with a life of death. How much more God why would God give us a promise and swear by an oath whatever he has said he will do it your heart must be strengthened God cannot lie you know what he said he says I have sworn unto David he says I have sworn in my holiness I would not lie unto David my covenant will I not break nor alter the thing which has gone out of my lips God is not a man that he should lie so his word is true why are you afraid you have an accident whilst the word says he will give his angels charge over you why are you afraid whilst he says the angel of the Lord and campers run about those who fear the Lord and deliver them his word is true his word is sure the Bible says who healeth all our diseases don't think God heals some he says who healeth all so you can lay hold whatever he has said about you the prophecies about your life God will manifest it you are the only one who cannot do it but God is faithful God is just it is impossible for God to lie hallelujah okay let's let's continue it says that when I said let's continue I hope you understand that is Hebrews okay that by two immutable things in which it is impossible for God to lie we might have a strong consolation I'm going to end on this verse we'll continue tomorrow but it says we might have a strong consolation who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us praise God now he's saying that the reason he has given us two unchangeable things that is what the promise and the oath is for the reason that we might have a strong encouragement never consolation here is the same way for encouragement is it that this is the place that I would never see the Bible would hardly talk about strong and carried by here he speaks of we haven't strong not literally encouragement to strong encouragement about what strong encouragement about hot about our future hope our eternal hope our eternal salvation about talks about the hope set before us by the time you finish ending this verse what is the hope set before us is a hope about our salvation is a hope about going to heaven is the hope concerning eternity that is the hope set before us praise God so what is he saying what is he saying now we are S of promises both promises in this life in the hereafter that is why I gave you those scriptures that we are s of the kingdom and we are s of what eternal life praise God we are whom but now look at what God has done you want us to have strong many believers don't have strong encouragement what is the basis of we have on strong encouragement concerning our salvation you want us to have strong many believers don't have strong encouragement what is the basis of we have on strong encouragement concerning our salvation You see, he lends a strong encouragement with the hope set before us. And when you read, the hope has to do with Jesus entering into heaven for us. And we following him. So the hope speaks of our eternal salvation. The hope speaks of heaven, the millennium, the new Jerusalem. The Bible speaks of our hope that is laid up for us in heaven. And the Bible speaks of our hope that things to come. Heavenly things, the coming of the Lord, our salvation, the glorification of our bodies. Hallelujah. That's a hope. But he has uncut or based this hope on the two imitable things. This hope is actually contingent upon his oath and his promise. Therefore, we can have strong encouragement. Okay, let me bring down the English. Maybe it is too high for you. You know what God is saying? He has placed your hope. You're going to heaven. He has placed it under his oath and under his promise. It is better for me to denounce my throne and my existence than for you not to go to heaven. Let me just say something. Okay. Now, so the promise of you making it to heaven and having eternal hope is based on God's oath, God's swearing. God's swearing is part of God's oath. God has sworn. That means God would prefer to deny his existence than for you not to make it to heaven. So your making it to heaven is actually contingent upon God's promise and God's oath. Therefore, you can have strong consolation. So your salvation is not shaky. Your salvation is certain. Strong consolation. Strong consolation. Hallelujah. So people are shaking about the hope. Will I be saved? They are not secured. Will I be saved? Will I be saved? You need strong consolation. Strong encouragement. Why? Because it is based on God's promise. Not only that, but God's oath. So the hope of your eternal salvation is founded on the bedrock of God's swearing. God has put his lifeline, his existence. God will say, "I will stop being God if you don't make it." That's what it means for God to swear. "I will stop being God if you don't make it to heaven." "I will stop being God." That's a strong consolation. But I like how Paul used it again. Another time he calls it everlasting consolation. 2 Thessalonians 2:16 That means everlasting encouragement. Our encouragement isn't temporal. It's everlasting. Look at what it says. Now, our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God, even our Father, which has loved us and has given us everlasting consolation. Strong consolation. Now, he calls it everlasting consolation. Everlasting encouragement. And good hope through grace. It's everlasting. Our encouragement is everlasting. Our consolation is everlasting. Hallelujah. Come on, look at me. Look at me. Look at the word. The word is coming forth. See, it is everlasting. Yeah. So, don't think, never think you lose your salvation tomorrow. Because some evil thoughts pass through your head. No, no, don't think that. Don't think because of what you did, you've lost your salvation. No. He has given us strong consolation. Praise God. Jesus is not a liar. He said, "For God so loved the world." That He gave His only begotten Son. That whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have what's everlasting or eternal life. Do you believe it? Why? He said eternal life. He didn't say temporal life. He says eternal life. We have it. How can eternal life be temporal life? It's not temporal. And He says the only way you can get that eternal life is belief. That's all. That's all. We are always deceiving the unbelievers. We quote John 3:16, but when they come in, they say, "Oh, it's not enough." They say, "You may lose it, so you. " So, they are not assured and they are not secured. When you are secured, I'm telling you, your life will be full of joy. Okay, so you can, let's see from the Amplified Version, John 10:28. Look at what Jesus said of the eternal life that He said, "Who will believe will have it." He says, can you see it yourself? "I give them," what? "Eternal life, and they shall never lose it or perish throughout the ages. To all eternity, they shall never by any means be destroyed, and no one is able to snatch them out of my hand." Wow. So, Amplified explains the Greek, because the Greek said they shall never perish. The Greek is in the absolute unqualified negative. Who may? Never, never, never to the ages. Hallelujah. What a blessing we have. So, it is very important you are assured about your salvation. If people are not assured, they live anyhow. If people are not secured, they live anyhow. Yeah, their life is full of depression. If you are not secured about your salvation, your head is exposed. 1 Thessalonians 5:8. King James, your head is exposed. My last verse. "Let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love." I like Apostle Paul's writing. Inefficiency causes the breastplate of righteousness. By the same person who wrote Ephesians, wrote Thessalonians and calls it the breastplate of faith and love. They are the same thing. Because the breastplate of this righteousness is faith righteousness. It is a righteousness which is of faith. Which way? it by love praise god it's the same thing the best way to understand faith is to understand righteousness because you see the word faith is connected to salvation four times into righteousness 20 times in the new testament so if you know your righteousness in christ you're automatically in faith and faith will always work by love just be conscious of how much your father loves you you are already in faith you see truth are parallel parallel they are connected together so the breastplate of righteousness and he says putting on the breastplate of righteousness of faith and love and for and helmets the hope of salvation many people don't have helmets their head is exposed but their heads are exposed and helmets you know that's why i said what is the hope of salvation that is the security of your salvation being secured now look not that i'm saved i will be saved apostle paul look at the corinthian church he addressed a lot of things that church was a stubborn church three of us it had problems than any other church in the new testament they were suing each other in court in fact there was division among them even some said i'm for paul another said i'm for peter and and some of them too who were born again were going back to temple prostitution and he said i don't you know that your body is a temple of god so these guys had a lot of problems after addressing all their problems he says behold i show you a mystery we shall not all sleep but we shall all be changed he didn't say some of you but he said all the word greek words means all with no exemption we shall all because their salvation is not based on their works but their reward is based on their works but their salvation is based on what jesus did praise god so if you don't have the helmets you see your future is not secured now if your future salvation is not secured the rest the rest of your future is not secured actually that means you'll be entertaining fears and doubts if god cannot secure your salvation then what else can he secure for you so now you're exposing your head now this salvation covers your head that is why when you know you are saved and you will be saved it gives you untold peace the rest of conscience it causes you to respond you see god doesn't want you to respond to him in fear there are some people they are they are doing well but it is in fear there are some they are not doing too well it is out of love god prefers that one because by and by if they keep on in love they will do best from a very refined motive you try to outperform to please god but you're already in christ a helmet your head shouldn't be exposed praise god look at the next verse why you should cover your head with helmet it says for it's a continuation for god has not appointed us to wrath but to obtain salvation by our lord jesus christ that's it look you're a christian you never go through the great tribulation it's not part of you no you it's not part of the great revelation is called the wrath of the lamb revelation 6 verse 16. it is called the wrath of god revelation 16 verse 1. it's god's wrath but god has not appointed us to wrath but to obtain salvation look at first thessalonians 1 verse 9. first thessalonians 1 verse 9 and 10. verse 10 okay and to wait for his son from heaven whom he raised from the dead within jesus who delivered us past things from the wrath to come future things you have been delivered okay romans 5 verse 9. much more than being now now now now present tense justified by his blood if you are justified today let me show you your future we shall shy is what we shall be saved from wrath through him we shall receive so this is what jesus has that don't allow obscure passages to rob you of your joy in clear passages about your eternal salvation you may say ah but the bible says that our apostle paul said i picked my body and bring it under subjection lest after i have preached the gospel to others i myself may be a cast away don't let obscure passages rob your joy of eternal salvation yeah because there are scriptures verses that are so plain and clear like what we read in amplified version that you will never lose it so it cannot contradict so it means you have to take your time and find out the meaning of that verse praise god because the word cast away is adokimos adokimos means to lose a reward paul said if he doesn't he doesn't preach as he's supposed to preach he will lose his reward but he's not saying he will lose his salvation so there are many scriptures like that i want you to know how much jesus loves you now look it's not like that's daddy of yours who say if you don't obey me I'll disown you oh he
Speaker 3has loved you
Speaker 1with everlasting love his love for you has already spanned the length of eternity he has loved your future which you don't you are not even there he has already loved you hallelujah praise God the future is blessed so working strong consolation you have nothing to fear again all the promises in this present life is bound by his promise and the oath and our future salvation we are heirs of the kingdom it's also bound by his oath and his promise we are secured what the people except you lack or your deficit of divine revelation hallelujah

So great salvation. God cannot lie. God will not lie. He will shatter every promise, every assurance, every promise, every assurance is founded, is founded on his promise, the immutability of his promise, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie. God can never lie. He will never lie to you. What has he told you? What has he said? His promises, his assurances. He gave you the Holy Ghost. He gave you healing. He gave you forgiveness. He gave you peace. The peace of God is here. The peace of God, the love of God, the power of God, his strength, his dunamis. God has given us all things that pertain unto lies and godliness, whereby are given great and exceeding precious promises that by these he might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in this world, through lust in Malaysia, take it. Hey, it is time to rise. It is time. It is time to rise.
