Understanding Dreams Session 1

Amen. We got to do this every Sunday. How many of you saw it in about the Word of God today? I've been looking forward to this for quite some time. I've been tugging on this gift on this man of God. And so just be blessed today. Get your notepads ready. Get your bubbles ready and just prepare to receive Jesus' name. Bring it brother. Amen. All right. Like you say, get your bibles out. I do have this. Don't, well no. I'm going to make you sweat it for a minute. I don't want you to take a note. I'll let you in on something afterwards. We're going to try to do these in three sessions maybe. Maybe four. We'll see where we get with stuff. I'm in the process now since the advent of AI, these slides are almost 10 years old. I'm in the process of updating them. So you're going to see duplicate slides on this because I want to make sure I didn't skip anything. But that's the new one. So it's a pretty chance to make a good book cover. Now I'll talk about that too in this because it connects to a dream and some things that happened personally a few years ago concerning this topic. If you have your bibles go to Job chapter 33. Go to Psalms and go backwards. Find Psalms and then go backwards. Job chapter 33. Everybody there? Give me name man if you're there. Come on. There we go. Job chapter 33. Let's go to verse 14. Verse 14. Job 33 verse 14. Again I'm coming out of the new American standards so you might say something a little different. I flip flop between New American and ESV and study all kinds of them. But those are two main ones I go with from teaching. Job chapter 33 verse 14. In a dream and a vision of the night when deep sleep falls upon men or when sound sleep falls upon men while they slumber in their beds he then opens the ears of men. He seals their instruction that he may turn man aside from his conduct and keep man from pride and keeps his soul from the pit and his life from passing over into shi'o. So again yours may say something a little different there. Part of me was wanting to quote it from King James because that's what's in me too. So I'll flip flop between the two. We just come out of the hills of celebrating the feast of Pentecost which Job 2 says what I will pour out my spirit in the last days right. O mental dream dreams young men will see visions right Peter received the in the upper room they received the spirit baptism there where the gifts of the spirit start flowing. It doesn't just come on somebody but now spirit is dwelling within people and you see how the Lord had used prophets in the Old Testament. Now it's been democratized the spirit has been given out to others and it's not just on one person here one person there but those that will call upon the name of the Lord. And so part of the prophecy of Job was that there would be a baptism of the spirit on all flesh not just you but Gentile as well and part of the giftings that flow from that is dreams and visions. And so the point here is what good are dreams and visions if there's no one there to understand them. If there's no one there to interpret them we can have all the dreams we want and have all the visions we want but if we don't discern what the spirit is saying within those dreams or visions then we're missing the mark right. And so we've got to have a go back and dive into a little bit of understanding of dreams and visions and why the Lord uses dreams and why he uses visions there's the old slaughter by see it let's go to the new one there we go. Like I said you're going to see both slides because I'm trying to make sure I don't skip one as we're updating the backgrounds and all that stuff. So why dreams? These are just a few this is not exhaustive but this is just a few things it'll bypass our intellect and emotions. It'll bypass our intellect and emotions. Especially in this day and age but I mean the modern newspapers were just as distracting as cell phones people were hiding behind the newspapers back in the day but now it's tablets and phones. So there's nothing new under the sun. One of the other reasons that why dreams not only is it bypass intellect and emotions I'm not saying he won't use intellect and emotions don't hear what I'm not saying there because we'll talk about that too in psychology dreams but decreased distractions were distracted a lot right we live in almost a constant state of distraction a lot of things are pulling out on our attention and affections. One of the other reasons you see that happen with dreams and when why he uses dreams and visions it reveals wrong doctrine and wrong theology but how many Muslims are coming to Christ? Why dreams and visions? Right there they go where evangelists won't can't go. Come on. They can go where some evangelists and missionaries can't go. So the one why the Lord uses dreams and visions bypass intellect and emotions. We're distracted in our and so when we're sleeping when we get in the sleep state we can finally get in a posture in a place of rest and trying to calm down some of us maybe our minds keep going and going on but it's a posture of rest where the Lord has finally got a steal enough to get our attention. Dreams or visions will reveal wrong doctrine or wrong theologies and another reason for dreams and visions is simple it's just it's often good indicators he knows what's going on in your life and he's speaking to you through it. He's bringing you to an awareness of those things. All things that the number one question I usually get asked first and I try to keep it as simple as we can is what's the difference between a dream and a vision right what's the difference between a dream and a vision. Here's your little simple answer typically it's not the standard but typically dreams are usually more symbolic visions are usually more literal. Dreams are often more symbolic visions are usually more literal. We can spend some time breaking down the Hebrew and Greek and all that stuff on the dreams and visions and how that goes about but to sum it all up typically this is the case. Dreams are often more symbolic in nature and visions are usually more literal. Where do you get that from? Numbers chapter 12 verse 6. Numbers chapter 12 and verse 6 says here now my words if there's a prophet among you I the Lord shall make myself known to him and what and I will speak to him what. There's the distinction between making himself known in a vision there's a clarity there right but then he will speak to him in a what that means there's language that means there's language to discern in a dream there's something that's there that we've got to interpret with inside of the dream versus being known in a vision there's a clarity that comes. The dreams are often more symbolic visions are often more literal. understanding of a vision, things become clear. There's a clarity that's there. Dreams often more symbolic, and it requires an interpretation usually on the symbolic-- symbology in the language that's happening there. So here's the nugget with that, though. Greater the clarity, greater the cost. That's why I'm like, yeah, just give me the dreams, Lord. I'm not sure if I'm willing to pay the price of the revelation of visions. Psalm 105, 17 through 19. Joseph, who was sold as a slave, says, "It forced his feet into shackles. He was put in irons until the time of his word came to pass. The word of the Lord tested him in King James. But when you break it down, it means refined him." So Joseph has the dream of the sheaves bowing down, the stars and all the things that happen. And we'll look at some of these dreams later on. And what immediately happens after the dream? Does it come to pass right away? No, it takes some time of process that has to happen. I believe the process was really processing him for the things that would come about, because it was a place of rulership. But Joseph had a code of many colors that was given to him by his father, right? Which is a favor. He was favored from all the other brothers. But after that immediate favor, where did he go? After the dream. Right into a pit. Right? I'm blessed and highly favored. What's next? Pit. Come on. Come on. Yeah, you got it right. That's the old acronym for a pit, "Prophet in Training." P-I-T. Joseph, it's from the time of his dream and the interpretation and lo and that, seeing that come to pass, and it's full of, was 13 years of process. 13 years of language. 13 years of communication. 13 years of the Lord being with Joseph. That's one thing you see this whole, I got a whole thing on Joseph, but this one thing with Joseph that you see is this mantle, this identity thing that comes with his cloaks, and the stripping of way of each place was a place of stripping from him. Each place, he had the mantle of the code of many colors, but then that, the first thing that happens, he gets stripped of that and then put into a pit. Then he gets stripped again at Potiphar's house. How is he identified? Is this not your servant's garment who's been trying to get with Potiphar's wife? That's what he was falsely accused of, but he was identified by a garment. Again, identity is all connected to these things and he was stripped from that. Then he gets put into a prison. What happens when you go to prison? Come on, some of y'all. Come on, see all of you have any prison? Yeah, come on. Do you wear your same clothes? They give you a change of clothes and a number. So there's another marker of identity. But there, everywhere that he went, Scripture says the Lord was with Joseph. So it doesn't matter if he was in the pit, if he was falsely accused in Potiphar's house, if he was in the prison, or if eventually he was in the palace with Pharaoh, dressed in. it says, "It makes a point." If he looked at it, it makes a point that he was dressed in all the garments of Egypt. He looked like an Egyptian. I was going to say walk-lock an Egyptian, but some of y'all start thinking, "You're doing that song." I guess I did, so there you go. Walk-lock. The eyes are going. Man. Yeah, let's see my head right now. Try not to sing it. Especially with my. especially with my Garth Brook. Especially with my 1980s, like headset here, you know? So I was ready for the Thunder Rolls. Come on, a lot of the strikes. Friends and low places. I got friends and low places. Humble place of prayer. Friends and high places. Come on. Oh, Lord, reign it in Jesus. Hallelujah. We'll talk about prophetic imagination as well. Greater clarity, greater the cost. So Joseph had this process thing that happened, but then look at what happens to Paul. The contrast. Paul. Sect Corinthians 12 verse 7, "Because of the extraordinary greatness of what? The revelations, the vision, the understanding, the clarity. For this reason, to keep from me from exalting what?" Oh! There was given to me a what? Thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me to keep me from exalting myself. How's that with your theology? He had a great revelation. He literally encountered a vision of Christ on the road to Damascus. No room for interpretation there, right? He said, "Saw, saw, why do you persecute me?" Number one there. Notice how Jesus connects Himself to the church. Who was Paul persecuting? The early Christians, right? But ultimately who was he persecuting? Jesus. So Jesus shows up in an encounter in a vision on the road to Damascus, knocks him off his horse, right? And then Jesus says, "Saw, saw, why do you persecute me?" See why I want to reclaim the word "church"? I didn't even know that. Hmm, that was from last week for you, something else. Or, yeah, whenever. What was given to Him? A thorn in His flesh, something to keep Him, uh, uh, pricked, if you will, from allowing prod to rise up because of the abundance of the revelation and because of the clarity. So the nugget there is what? Greater the clarity? Greater the cost. Count the cost, right? All right, now back to our text, Job 33. Six things, the Lord does there, at least six things. I'm not limiting to that, but at least six things that we can see right there. In Job 33, 14 through 16. And come this out of the, uh, old King James here. For God's speaketh, once yet twiced, yet man perceives it not. In a dream in a vision of the night when deep sleep falls up on man and slumbering's up on the bed, he opens the ears of man, seals their instruction that he may withdraw man from his purpose, and he may hide prod from man. He keeps his soul from the pit and his life from perishing by the sword. And the Joseph's body was in the pit, but not his soul. Not his mind. His mind was up on the things with the Lord. Six things, the Lord says, he opens the ears. He seals instruction. He withdraws us from going our own way. There's a way that seems right to man, but what? The end thereof is? Destruction is death. And so he may send a warning dream to get us to course correct us. Anybody ever had any of those? Come on, right here. I'm going to share some of those personal things a little bit later. Either today or the next few sessions, whatever. My goal today is to lay a biblical foundation for dreams, and then we'll get into the nitty-gritty processing of dreams and things like that. He withdraws man from going man's ways. He hides prod from man. He's going to be a little bit less with Paul, right? He's after pride. He's going to put his finger on pride, if we're willing to submit to that. I can usually tell the ones that actually have that carry weighty revelation, because of the amount of humility they actually walk in. The ones that walk around and perceived revelation, or acquired, oh, what's that? Those that have a perception that they carry revelation, but it's all about I, me, this, and all those type of things. I would question the revelation that they carry. True revelation will humble. Pride exalts itself. There's an exaltation that comes with pride, but he gives grace to the humble to remain in that posture of humility, in that posture of humility, that's where true revelation comes. He opens the ears of man, seals their instruction. This is why I'll get into this. later but this is why it's important for you to write these things down. What instructions are you asking the Lord for? Many of us are asking the Lord for direction and guidance and all those things. What if he's already given it to you but it was encoded in a dream and you just didn't write it down because you thought it was pizza? First thing we've got to do, guys, is we've got to err on the side that what we receive might be the voice of God and then take it seriously. I'd rather err on the side of it being the voice of God and writing it down and document it and then after the process of interpretation and all that and submission and all the things, then say, "Oh, you know what? That was the chocolate and the onions and the pizza and all that stuff." That was a chemical dream. That was a hormonal dream. That was a whatever dream. But I don't want to miss out on the opportunity or the moment that it actually might be him speaking. And so we've got to value that it could be the voice of God. And so our flesh doesn't want to get up at 3.30 in the morning or whatever time it is that you may get that. Our flesh doesn't want to grab the pen and paper or the now we've got digital media. We don't want to pick the phone up, hit voice record or you know might wake somebody up and he's besides we don't want to get up ourselves or whatever the case. But it's a simple thing of hitting the voice, don't try to interpret right off. Just document, write the record it. Again, I'll go over that all that stuff later. But he opens the ears of men, seals their instruction. One instruction could there be in our life that we're waiting on. He's already gave his answer to. I would submit to you, go back and look at your dream journals. Go back and look at your prayer journals. Go back and look at those things because there's probably some language in there. There's probably some things in there that he's already highlighted and giving you breadcrumbs to follow the trail into him so that he's setting you up on this path for the footsteps of the righteous men or what? Ordered by the Lord. And so he's probably giving you some orders all the way back then. But you know, he might just chucked it off. He's like, I don't know, I did have you know, meatloaf or something that night or I don't know, whatever the case. Hives pride. He keeps their souls from the pit. Everybody got that? Are we good? Secret things. Deuteronomy chapter 29 verse 29. It's one of my favorite verses. I've got to handful them. Proverbs 25 to you. Deuteronomy 29, 29, a couple of them. Deuteronomy 29, 29 says this, "The secret things belong to the Lord, but the things revealed belong to who." Us and to who? For how long? Come on. Secret things belong to the Lord, but the things revealed belong to us, not just us, and our sons forever. How long is forever? Forever. Come on, there's another San Latin that we may observe all the words of his instruction. The word law there is instruction. So does God have secrets? 100% He has secrets. Secrets belong to who? But who does the revelation belong to? And our sons. So that means this. Revelation is eternal, but it's also generational. Secret things belong to the Lord, but the things revealed belong to us, and to our sons forever. That means revelation, the things we receive, the notes you're taking now is not just for you. Come on. The reason I've shifted to do some of this in the digital format is because I know my kids can't read my writing. I've got hard drives filled with my teaching and my notes that when I'm gone, they'll have a roadmap. They'll have something to pull from. They'll have something they can look back at because why it's not just about me. It's about the generations coming after me. Why is my Bible filled with notes on the backside here? So one of them can pick it up and what did dad think about this? What did dad believe in this? I'm leaving them a legacy. May not be the most financial thing, but it's the most spiritual thing. Secret things belong to the Lord, but the things revealed belong to us. I did have a slide. This means revelation is generational and its eternal. And guess what? That's going to go on to their children. So when I'm preparing my heart for a message and I'm preparing the teachings for a message, it's not just even about you guys. It's about the generations coming after. It's about the great grand kids. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Malachi 45 and 6. I'll turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the children back to the fathers unless I strike the earth with the curse. What's the curse? The curse is fatherlessness. And we've got to. Man, he's somebody said it. There's a lot of orphan mentality because we've had people that are propped up in pride that would rather be fey rose instead of fathers that would actually go around and train up slaves instead of empowering sons to let them walk into freedom and allow them to build their empires versus walking in the kingdom knowing that I've got to decrease and my sons have got to increase. That's true revelation. We've got to have a transgenerational consciousness. There you go. Which that? One generation. This is one of my other core verses, Psalm 145. You've almost heard just about every service. One generation shall praise that works to another and declare that a moddy acts. That's how we got here. It's because somebody picked up the generational mantle in their family and anchored down with it. The Lord have secrets? Yes. Who those belong to? Not just anybody. You have to be part of the family. Come on. You've got to be part of the kingdom. Amos 37 also says this. Surely the Lord does nothing unless He reveals what? His secrets? To who? The prophets. The prophets. So Lord has secrets. He wants to reveal them, right? If He has secrets, where must I go to get them? To Him. The Lord has secrets. Where must I go to get them? He does nothing without revealing His secrets to His servants, the prophets. Let me say it this way. With the outpouring of the Spirit, we all have access. Are all function as "profit-profit" not necessarily, but if you have the Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit is prophetic. Come on. Holy Spirit is the ultimate, prophetic Spirit. He's the Spirit of truth. He'll guide us in all truth. He'll testify of Jesus. Testimonious Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy. We'll get into that when we talk about the gifts of the Spirit and prophetic ministry. But the Lord has secrets. He wants to reveal those. Oftentimes He'll code those in dream language. And so we have to interpret based on Him and not on worldly things. Psalm 36 and verse 9. For with you is the fountain of life. And in your light, we see light. In your light, we see light. So how do I get revelation? There's other light sources out there. The enemy appears as an angel of light, right? Eger Casey has a place. He's dead and gone now. I believe it had a true prophetic gift, but got off into major error. And he was known as the sleeping prophet who would lay down at night and or lay down, go to sleep, wake up with a revelation concerning people's diseases and sicknesses and they would actually get healed. There's a whole foundation called the Association of Research and Enlightenment that exists today based off of his works and people are paying thousands of dollars to go have their dreams interpreted and to have healing happen through a false lot. That's why some of this stuff is really passionate for me because we forfeited a lot to the new age. We forfeited a lot of the supernatural things to the new age and they flow more regularly than most of us do. That's an indictment on us because we've not created a safe place to practice and flow in the things of the spirit and then have the boundaries of the text and the scriptures and one another prophetic Presbyterry to shape and mold and say, "Hey, you have a different spirit there. Let's check ourselves." Psalm 1830, "The ways of the Lord are perfect" means they're complete, they're whole, they're trustworthy. The word of the Lord is tried. Do you see that? It's tested. He's a shield to all who take refuge in Him. The way of the Lord is perfect. One of the perfect ways are one of the complete ways. One of the ways that the Lord may reveal stuff to you is through the language of dreams. It's through visions. His ways are beyond our ways, right? His thoughts are beyond our thoughts and so it's in the realm of His capacity and nature to send His instruction through a dream. Is that still happen today? The whole point of this first session is to give you a biblical theology of dreams and that they're still functioning today and we've got to value that the voice of God could be in there in one of those dreams. Like I said, sessions two and three will break down more how to process and do practical application things. One of the perfect ways of the Lord, I want to highlight this part. Word of the Lord is tried. It's tested. This is what I was saying earlier about those that carry revelation, that true carry the Word. It's not always necessarily that the enemy is attacking you as much as he is attacking the Word in you. It's attacking the weight and the revelatory realm of the Word that is in you, the Word that you carry. That's what's being tested and tried so that it'll go through the fire and then it'll produce a harvest. It'll produce gold, silver, precious stones, all those types of things. It's not just about you, it's about the Word of the Lord that is in you that's being tried and tested. When you ask for revelation, count the cost. That's my warning. When you're asking for more, Lord, be sure you've counted the cost. I'm not saying don't. He's going to give you the grace to endure it, but no, there's a cost that comes with it. A true revelation, there's a cost that comes with it. It'll cost you relationships. It'll cost you reputation. It'll cost you family. Come on. It'll cost you everything, but is it worth it? You better believe it is. Is he worth it? You better believe he is. This is the other one, 252. It's the glory of God to conceal a matter, but it's the glory of kings to search out a matter. Did it on me 29 and 29? Secret things belong to the Lord, but the things reveal belong to us and our children and our sons forever. Proverbs 252, it's the glory of God to conceal a matter. It's the honor of kings to search out a matter. This was the main verse that really started me on my journey of study, period. The word matter here, here, is the Hebrew word, "divar." Look here. We get to use the word. The bar. In Hebrew, "bees" are "vees," like Victor. So it's actually "davar." Debra is "davar," "debra," "devareem." Words, some of the things associated with this is the same word for "bees," like bees that fly around bees. Bees pollinate. They help bring fertility and food supply. You wipe out the bees by by food. So when there's a famine, you'll see it connected to bees, just anyway, in the scripture and in the natural. "divar" means "matter." This word "matter," I should have a slide here. Yeah. Look at what it means. It means to speak or speech words, speaking thing, utterance words. Also, business, occupation, acts, matter, case, something matter. Others right here, to warn, to threaten, to sing, to converse, to clear, to command. It's the glory of God to conceal a matter. Conceal, conceal a divar. It's the honor of kings to search out a divar. Let's put it back. Who are we in this new New Testament as a new creation? We are priests and kings. He Jesus paid the ultimate price to re-unit the kingdom with the priesthood, right? What was divided up at Exodus 19 at San I? He had to separate the priesthood from the kingdom, but Jesus paid the ultimate price to re-unit the kingdom in priesthood. They're still a priesthood to today, right? It's under the order of Melchizedek, not the order of Aaron. We still offer spiritual sacrifices unto the Lord, and we've been made kings and priests after the most high. Who is our high priest at the ever living at the right hand of the Father who makes intercession as our high priest in confession of our faith, right? So we are kings and priests because of he is. And because we are kings and priests, there's a glory that he conceals for us to search out. And in our searching, it gives him a glory. In your seeking, there's a glory that goes to the Father. But look at what he conceals. Now let's break it back down. It's the glory of God to conceal a conversation, a command. It's the glory of God to conceal a promise. It's the glory of God to conceal a warning. Because the glory of God to conceal a song, there's songs that have yet to be written that can give glory to the Father. They've been concealed in dreams. Come on. It's the honor of kings to search it out. That's the. So the glory of God to conceal a song, a word, a dream, a conversation, a matter. It's the glory of kings to search it out. That's an invitation. Again, you've heard of say, said here before, "The Lord doesn't hide things from us." He hides things for us. He doesn't hide things to taught us. He hides things to train us. Hebrews talks about having our senses trained to discern between what? Good and evil. That word there, when you look at it and Hebrews talking about having our senses trained, the word there is connected to a gym, connected to a one who trains at a gym. The Greeks who trained at a gym to exercise, and if you want to go further with it, actually it means to exercise the way that Greeks did. If you did any of your history, you'll know that when the gladiators and those fought and wrestled, they didn't do it with their clothes on. That means there's a vulnerability in the training. He trains having our senses trained in Hebrews. That means there's a vulnerability that's there and an openness that's there to have our senses trained to discern between good and evil. I think it was Spurgeon that said, talking about discernment. He goes discernment is not even about necessarily discerning between good and evil as much as it is good and almost good. Right and almost right. And so he doesn't hide things from us, he hides things for us. I would hide the keys to my car from Jericho, right, for his protection until he reaches a certain age of maturity or until he's been trained by his mother or father, depending on how you want to drive. What if you want to obey the rules? Drive like me. So I don't hide them necessarily from him with the intent to taught him. I hide them for him for a state of maturity because if I give it to him prematurely, what's going to happen? It's going to wreck and not just hurt him, but potentially hurt somebody else. So that's why some things are held onto until we maturen the things of the Lord and have our senses trained to discern between good and evil. And then we can receive those things that come by way of inheritance. Remember, everything in the kingdom flows by way of inheritance. We've been born again. We've been brought into the kingdom. And so again, there's almost like a trust as we mature at certain levels and functions as we grow and grow in him and grow in the grace and knowledge of him, then certain things get released to us. So I don't hide it to be like, "Ha, you can't drive yet." No. In the car, as we're driving, I'll have to do I not. I'll say, "Make a steering wheel." Come on. And I was like, "Pretend that you're driving." So I got him in the past to see acting like he's driving. And I'm like, "All right, we're going to go up here and turn." And so I'm walking him through, right, training him before he can actually ever even get behind the wheel. I know it may seem silly, but that's the way of actually training in the things. And so at his age, and just same thing with Hannah, we did the same thing with her. They're learning the road, they're learning the series, they're learning the practical side, not just the textbook side. Right, the application side. So those are some of the things that you go into training with. Everybody good on that? So he doesn't hide things from us, he has things for us, he doesn't hide things to talk us but to train us. And so with that being said, dreams becomes invitation to intimacy and intercession. This I got from Dan Mueller, intimacy, into me see. This I picked up on the long the way. Dreams become invitations to intimacy and intercession, intimacy, into me see. That's intimacy, see, and then into the Lord, see into him, right? When it comes to prayer, enter seed. And I saw a word play there, and we'll talk about that, but it's enter seed. What seed according to scripture? It's not your money. It's not your money. It's the word, the seed of the word. Parable of Sowers, the seed of the word. And so when we go into times of intercession, we're sowing the word of the matter concerning whatever it is we're praying about. You want to pray effective, fervent prayers of the righteous that avail much? What's the Lord said about the situation? Pray his word, pray his seed, so the seed back into the word, or back into him, right? We wage the warfare with the prophecies. We've got to make intercession on behalf of those things. So true intercession is stepping into the intercessions of the Christ who's ever living to make intercession at the right hand of the Father. He's been in his prayer ministry longer than he was in his earthly ministry. And so he's been in his prayer ministry as the priest at the right hand of the Father, ever living to make intercession. And the bulls in the incense in heaven, according to the book of Revelation, is being filled with the incense of the saints. And so this seed, we've got to take the seeds of the word, Paul told Timothy, "Waste the warfare with the prophecies that's been spoken over you." What were those prophecies? Those words, right? Those words is the words of the Lord that's been spoken over a situation of matter, a calling a destiny, whatever the case may be. You take those words and you make intercession with them. Jeremiah 27 and 18 says this, "If they're prophets and if they're true prophets, and the word of the Lord is what? With them." This is the key. You can have prophets out there and no word of the Lord be with them at all. But if there's true prophets and the word of the Lord is with them, what do they do? Let them make intercession. A prophet without prayers, a witch. Prophet without prayer to Yahweh through the blood of his son Jesus, by Holy Spirit, is up a different spirit. It's in the era. There's a truth and a spirit of error. I won't get into all that stuff, but that's a whole other thing to dive into. Let them now make what? Intercession. Prophets must be a people of prayer. Saints must be a people of prayer. The word of the Lord is with them. How many of you have had prophetic words over your life that have yet to happen? No, we were taught, or I was taught, anytime you're a receiver, prophetic word, go put it on a shelf. Just set that up there. Sadly, that's where most prophetic words stay. They get dusty and crusty just like the thing. Then we get bitter and frustrated because, well, this has not happened in my life. We were taught wrong. What were we supposed to do with it? Pray into it. How do we wage the warfare with the prophecies that's been spoken? We've got to hold on to them. When all hell is coming against it, we've got to speak contrary to it. We've got to be of a different spirit, like a Caleb. Right? And we've got to make intercession on behalf of what has the Lord say concerning the matter. Do you want to make a declarative call for it? Do declare it and call it for it. I'm going to leave you with this because it's another thing I get. Dream interpretation is not a gift. Everyone here can be trained to do this. It's a reward of pursuit. You will not find a gift of dream interpretation in the Scripture. What you will find is a reward of pursuit. What part of Holy Spirit is limited just for one person to be a dream interpreter? Do you have Holy Spirit living within you? Right? Then you have access. First Corinthians 2. First Corinthians 2. I think it's in verse 16. Of course, verse 10. First Corinthians chapter 2. For to us God revealed them through the Spirit, for the Spirit searches all things, even the what? The deep things of God or the depths of God. That's first Corinthians 2 verse 10. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the Spirit of a man, which is in him? Even so, the thoughts of God, no one knows except the Spirit of God. You see that? First Corinthians 2 11. Who knows the thoughts of God? The Spirit. Secret things belong to the Lord, but the things reveal belong to us, his sons and his children forever. So if secret things belong to the Lord and the things reveal belong to us, and no man knows the thoughts of the Lord except for the Spirit of the Lord, how do I get the understanding of what the secret is? Do I go to just a man for it or do I have to go by way of the Spirit to get the revelation? Now we have received, it says, no one knows except the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the Spirit of the world, but the Spirit of who is from God that we might know things freely given to us by God. Do not pray for a dream interpretation. Matter of fact, don't know. Oh, Lord. There shouldn't be any paywalls on dream interpretation. I'll just say that. Or deliverance. Or deliverance. Anything in that matter. That's blasphemy to the Lord. the spirit. I'll call it what it is. You 100% man. But a natural man, you see, which things speak not in the words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. But a natural man does not accept the things of the spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him and he cannot understand them, like dreams. He cannot understand them because they are spiritually discerned or spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual praises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no man, for who has the mind of the Lord that he should instruct him? Verse 16, "But we have what?" We have it. We have it. We have the mind to cross. That's why dream interpretation is not a gift. It's not a gift of the spirit. But here's the thing. It's going to cost you something to labour to understand the principles and the prophetic vocabulary and all the things that he's got hidden in the word. All the things that Proverbs 252 talks about. Where do you find gold silver and precious stones? Are they hanging out on trees? It'll be nice, wouldn't it? No. Where are they at? They're in the dirt. You got to mine those things, right? You've got to dig. Wood hay and stubble. All things found on the surface level. All things burned up by fire. And most of the revelations going out and being sewn out today is wood hay and stubble. But I'm telling because there's people not willing to pay the price to dig into the word, dig into the intimacy, go into the intercession and receive the stones that he's got encased in the dirt because that's dark. It's hard. And nobody wants to go there. It goes against our flesh to have to do those things. We would rather find another Moses. You go up to the mountain, Moses. You go get the revelation. That's thunder and lightning up there. I don't like all that stuff. You go do that. I'm going to camp out right down here. Everyone in here can interpret a dream. If you have Holy Spirit in you, if you have a relationship with Father, if you have the Word abiding in you and you're abiding in him. It's not a gift to reward a pursuit. We'll pause right there. I'm going to warn you every time I do this, for the majority of people, I won't say everybody, but for the majority of people, the dream life goes, "Whip, increases." Which is weighty and there's a responsibility with that. So I give the disclaimer. Write it down. You may not fully have all the processes that you need right now or whatever will go over those things. Write it down. Record it. Let me just say it this way. Record it. Record it. Record your thoughts, your feelings, your emotions. Set the scene. Paint the picture. We'll dive into that next week. Six things, at least six things he does. Seel's instruction. Opens our ears. Seel's instruction. Hides us from pride. Keeps our soul from the pit. Keeps us from perishing. So I want to pray this. And then we're going to pray for the sending. Amen. Raise your hands to receive here. Father, we thank you for your word. We don't take it lightly. We recognize the cost that comes with revelation, that comes with clarity. And Father, we ask you for a grace to receive in walk in. You said that you've blessed us with every spiritual blessing in your Son. And as you predestined us to be, sons through your Son. You've made known to us the mystery of your will according to the intention that you purposed in Jesus. It says that we have maintained an inheritance. When Paul was speaking to the Ephesians, he told him this, he said, "And that the Lord God Christ Jesus, Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know the hope of His calling. What are the riches and the glory of His inheritance in the saints? What is the surpassing greatness of His power towards us who believe? Hallelujah. So Father, I thank you that a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you." The you that you've concealed in our dreams, the you that you've concealed in our visions, all this has to come into subjection unto you. According to Hebrews, you spoke to the prophets of old, but now you speak to us through your Son. So Father, we thank every dream that we have from this not for in those in the past. We bring them to the Lordship of Christ that we may see you in the midst of this as you unlock our ears, as you unlock our instruction, as you keep us from pride, as you keep our souls from the pit, and you keep us from parishing, Lord.
