UCLA and Oklahoma Secure Big Upsets + Georgia Beats Alabama | Week 6 Recap | The BFW Show 10.10.26

Brandon Walker’s College Football Show delivers a dynamic recap of the week’s most pivotal games, highlighting Georgia’s dominant win over Alabama as the standout moment. The Georgia Bulldogs are named the most impressive team of the week for their physical intensity and defensive superiority, despite a missed field goal and a controversial pass interference call. The show also analyzes Oklahoma’s victory over Texas, crediting it to a strong defense and Texas’s offensive inconsistencies, particularly with quarterback Archmaning, whom Walker calls “cake” due to his underperformance. UCLA’s victory over Oregon is praised for its physical dominance and defensive execution, though Oregon’s quarterback Dylan Raeola is criticized as one of the worst seen this season. Indiana’s win over Nebraska is noted as a turning point, while Nebraska’s persistent struggles are framed as a depressing cycle of loss. Kentucky’s overtime win over LSU is celebrated for its bold play-calling and aggressive execution, especially the quarterback draw that stunned LSU’s defense. Florida’s fall from a top-10 team to a losing streak is highlighted as a cautionary tale of roster and coaching failure. The show concludes with a mix of celebration and criticism, emphasizing game dynamics, player performance, and the emotional impact of underperformance on fan culture.

Hey, Brandon I've seen you all week and bud you got some color to you was it was sunny out there do I really yeah I do okay I didn't bring a hat it's okay you went out there got a win you told me we're going to go get a win and I'll tell you you're going to go get a win you told me how you were going to get a win you were just about right oh listen best Saturday of football so far that that was the last six hours last eight hours have been fantastic yet in the end of Nebraska in the morning and then you had oh what was in the middle oh you two. Texas several games and the games that I'm not even going to say off the top like what was the come on there was overtime game in the big 10 Michigan State and Illinois at a crazy overtime game got LSU Kentucky tonight Georgia Alabama tonight shits going crazy all across this country I'm letting the chat fill up right now Liam is here I am here incredible day of football topped off by what we just saw with Georgia walking into Tuscaloosa thumbing Alabama in the eye and now I guess the next 24. 4 hours would be full of conversation about that passing or parents call to lack of passing or parents call but I don't know that there's there's a there's a million things to go with here we're going to get the Georgia Alabama just a second we're going to get the LSU Kentucky we're going to get to Indiana we're going to get all of a bluntman how was your trip man round walker Starkville was a great place I'll be strapping on this Eugene the city is fine Watson Stadium in the University of Oregon's campus is something straight out of a motion picture I they they were generous enough to give me the opportunity to walk around most of the football facility and guest sneak peek at what they're building in 2026 which is an unbelievable unbelievable facility but odds and stadium people talk about all time have you ever been brando I've never been never been I it's bucket list it's the best stadium any sport I've ever been to is the best experience I've ever had they do everything right from start to finish I can't say enough good things about that place stop saying good things stop saying good things because their playoff dreams died today you killed their playoff dreams and it had to feel yeah and it's great that you're saying good things it's great that you're saying nice things and it's great that they showed you hospitality but here on the brand and Walker cost will all show we're about ball and what happened today was UCLA win in there and stuck their thumb in Oregon's eye for four quarters kept the ball for 40 minutes that's what happened well that's because I'm the MVP I'm the most valuable podcast or a lot of guys will talk about ball all week well I don't want to give Dan landing a rap boys and I want to give him a fuel to the fire like a Michael Cadek former college football player I'm not former college football player I know that the hungry dogs run faster so I did why I need to do I sat back I sat back I sat back I let you guys talk up don't what was the point what were you guys doing doing Rayola for throwing floaters again soft soft USC like what that kid was what 5 and 19 6 of 19 day I really upset that he he got taken out of the game he is a lot of a player Patrick do homes never has a chance at succeeding in football but hey man thanks sure we're going to get to that game we're going to get to your game we're going to play play all the hits but let's start with the Georgia Alabama is the market game of the night real slobber knocker you know back and forth about Georgia dominated the second half a little bit more than the 2017 score would indicate they missed the field goal they really really made killing Russell's life a living hell he still made a couple of miracle plays where you see the talent you see the vision you see what's coming from him but tonight wasn't quite his time as Georgia's defense was just too fast too strong too big and if they're allowed to interfere with the past before the before the ball gets there that always helps now I will say and I think Georgia fans are right there were several times tonight where I thought the only chance Alabama's offensive line had was to hold on for dear life and hold and it wasn't called but again that was clearly passing interference in the fourth quarter there on the second to last or in the last drive for Alabama it does not get called and yeah I I don't have it in my heart to be able to feel bad for Alabama I just want to when I talk about this game and think about this game I think about the toughness Georgia showed on both sides of all Gunner Stockton and those backup running backs you know Alabama called a big break fluff off well out last week and then this week Fraser out for Georgia they're down to what the third or fourth running back and they just bow Walker was fantastic Phillips was fantastic and then Gunner Stockton and whenever the chips are down he's a bulldog man he's a fucking dog and he's not the flashiest quarterback he's not making killing Russell blaze he's not making these these big huge you know he's not these He's been level quarterbacks and what you would think but when they started seven or or second nine and you have to have it he's gonna fucking get it man he is a dog Gunner Stockton I'm talking about Liam Yeah of course Gunner Stockton does what Gunner Stockton does he goes out there and finds ways to win it's not always gonna be pretty but it almost always is gonna end with a W and that's what he did that he was on this game at the beginning of the game I saw it then it kind the game went on on an Alabama scene to begin after my know he still playing your flawless game but yeah Brent the guy I know he had the quarterbacks I would choose over him just because of the way he wins weekend we go are you are you able to watch were you able to watch the last five minutes of that game I watched the last three quarters good the when it was third and 10 with two minutes of 57 seconds left Georgia had run the ball in first down time out Alabama run the ball in second down time out Alabama and I thought oh god here goes conservative Kirby and conservative offensive play calling they're just gonna run it again they let Gunner throw it and he just threw a dart a missile got a first down which led to another penalty on Alabama a couple plays later against another first down games over there was an incredible throw he was making throws like that all night just zippin him in tight coverage um Alabama's not going anywhere I think that's a uh that might be the second best team in the SEC as the SEC just took a fucking bat today as far as up people we've got a lot going on the SEC that we didn't plan on a lot of teams they were planning on being in this playoff race might not be there and a lot of teams they were planning on being in top five all year might not be there and we've got all that going on but there goes Georgia into a hurricane into Alabama hadn't I was two and seven in regular season against Alabama right and they hadn't won in Tuscaloosa since 2007 yeah and there they go they they walk right in there and again I thought they I thought they dominated they dominated that game more than the three point victory would indicate in the second half very very very very very very very impressive for Georgia they were your national champion in the off season and unlike me your national champion is playing like a national champion Liam thanks man I mean they've kind of only played one game so far and they showed out in it for the most part the what style to me most was maybe that I mean a few things and they're all Alabama wise honestly the end of first half throw your balls on a table make sure you get that touchdown was super impressive not capitalizing off that momentum shift was a bit surprising but that's what Georgia does they'll get back after you the no call pass interference was tough and then uh final play man I like they're talking about in the broadcast you never see her count of more this anime this this live it I haven't either and that guy was chewing in everyone players rightfully so what is lead doing their brand and if I went up to you in the office and I hit you with this and you hit me back and I hit you twice I can't suspend from the stool to yeah no he's being selfish she's being selfish and it was a done play and it was a heat of the battle and uh you know it is one of those where they're back and forth one two one two one two one and then two throws themselves back and all of a sudden oh my god he's the worst guy but uh I the passenger parents it does suck it sucks it came down to that and it sucks that it didn't get called and it was a pass on her parents. There's no guarantee Alabama gets in the end zone anyway. They probably do get the field goal tie the game. So there is that. But yeah, it's just it's an unfortunate call that in a bang bang game with such athletes on the field the reps are going to miss one occasionally sucks that they missed it in that moment. But again, I don't have the capability of feeling sorry for the Alabama terms of tie that's not in my bag. And yeah, so congratulations Georgia for going into Alabama and beating Alabama 20 to 17. Now, where do we go next? I let's do Oklahoma Texas here. We'll get to UCLA, Oregon and Indiana, Nebraska. But let's let's do that. Of course later on, we'll get to all the things we'll get to our most impressive team of the week, the most depressing team of the week, the most badass thing that we saw today. Yeah, I told you so the hand up I was wrong. The what are we doing in our 10 best players of the weekend by Liam and by me. I'm not going to do an ad yet. I'll keep going chat. By the way, how you doing? How you doing? Chats. Everybody looks busy in here tonight. Mazzoo. Yes. You see LA Brewing Man. Yep. Tennessee struggled Arkansas. That's a problem. Sure. Sure is. Boomer. We got some Oklahoma fans in here. We got some Georgia fans in here. We got all kinds of fans. Thank you very much for for for being here. Now, let's go with Oklahoma Texas. Oklahoma 27 Texas 24 now. A lot of you like to pile on me when I pick Oregon to win the national title and they lose two games by October 10th. And a lot of you like to pile on me when I say something's going to happen. It doesn't happen. A lot of you I owe fans are like, you told us we were going to lose on Friday night. I don't give a fuck what you did on Friday night. I owe fans. Anyway, but a lot of you love to throw my words back in my face. I sat on this show the other day. And not only to tell you Oklahoma had a punch for Texas, I told you the exact recipe and exactly how it was going to go down. John Matier was never going to lead this team to a victory over Texas. He's not good enough. But what was going to happen was Texas was going to come out with their inconsistent disappointing offense. They were going to let Oklahoma stay in the game because Oklahoma has a top five defense in the country. Arch was going to give him one. He was going to give him a up to he was going to give him an interception to set up a short field or pick six said that. They were going to get a special team touchdown. Got it. And then Arch was going to do something and it's applicable in the end. And somehow Oklahoma's going to be standing there to collect the victory. That's exactly what happened. Archmaning Steve's Archeesian. Texas Longhorns number one coming into today. I don't know how it's possible to invest what they invest in that program to go get Cam Coleman to go get all every offensive lineman you ever need. Every running back you ever need bringing two running backs. You're your college all star game offensively and you can't fucking score. You just are not good offensively. You have a five star pedigree quarterback who you haven't developed one lick. The guy hasn't been developed by Sarc O'Lick. Now you can just blame Arch. You can say Arch, you're not that good. There's a coach who gets paid to develop these guys. He hadn't done a goddamn thing with Archmaning. That's just the truth. And Arch today showed you some tantalizing throws, some tantalizing things. But the problem with Archmaning is the same as always is he's just not that good. If you want to blame him, blame him. If you want to blame Sarc, blame Sarc. But the truth is everything about him sounds great. Five star from a family from from from from QB royalty. Texas, you know, four years, been in the system, makes throws, can run. And then you watch him play and it's just not there. It's just not there, Liam. Yeah, I obviously did not get to watch any of this game, but I don't think I needed to watch this game to know exactly how it went. I feel like I have a terrific pulse on the game despite never seeing a single snap of this game in real time. I was with you on this Oklahoma giving Texas a puncher's chance. And you know, to me, the winner was going to be up in the air. I felt like it was a coin flip game just because I'm not high on Texas at all. And I'll continue the echo that. And again, today you see why nothing is ever in sync apparently. Nothing. My story from this game is I look at my phone during a break. And I say, oh, Texas is up 17, seven on Oklahoma. Yeah. Oh, this is going to be a really weird way, a really strange way for archmaning Steve Sarkiesian in Texas to blow it. I know they're up 10 against Oklahoma team that can't move the ball. And they still never had faith that they were going to get done. You ever seen that clip where that woman goes on the talk show and she sits on the chair that looks like a chair. And she's on a set that looks like a set. And she's doing an interview that looks like an interview. As soon as she sits down, she goes, bitch, is this cake? That's watching archman. That's watching archmaning play football for me. I look at archmaning play football. He's got Steve Sarkiesian in the coach. He's got the Texas long horn on his helmet. He's a five star. He can run. He can throw huge arm. And he's got the highlights. And then you turn on the game. And it's a third quarter. And he needs to make a throw to win it. And I'm like, bitch, is this cake? Arches cake. That's what arch is. Arch is a cake quarterback. You think he's NFL level talent in there. But if you put your hand on him and squeeze, you're just going to get some fucking cake. That's what archmaning is. Sorry. He is cake. All right. I have a different interpretation actually. What is your interpretation? You know that little Asian girl with the tacos. It's like, why not both? I think that's archmaning with being good and being bad. Why not both? Why not both the little Asian girl? Sure. I man. Okay. So I know you didn't watch this close. You were you were ending Oregon's football program on their turf. So congratulations to you. Oklahoma just just hung around and they hung around and they hung around. And that defense and that stadium picked up steam and picked up steam and picked up steam and then arch through a bet through a pick six. And then as soon as he threw the pick six, Liam, he turned into Joe Montana. It was awesome. He was just he let him right down the field and tied the game and he thought, oh my god, there it is. He ain't taking them more. And then and then they they get the ball back. They get the ball back to win the game in the final minute. 19 seconds left and he's cake again. He throws it. The most bizarre interception with 19 seconds left credit. Oklahoma, by the way, for taking those 19 seconds going right down the field, kicking the field goal. I don't know. I don't have a hard time explaining arch and sark. Everything should be right. It should be good. And it's just fucking not. And Texas should be the best team in the country, but they're just fucking not. Even though they were number even though the number one today, they came in number one. Nobody thought they were the best team. They struggled against Tennessee. They just they just they just fucking not. Yeah, they're very like there's varying degrees to the good, not good scale honest, scale great and good teams. They're very solid. That's all they are. And they will be out of sync all season. You know why? Because year after year, we're seeing that from sark. We're seeing that from arch now. Texas doesn't instill the fear in you. Does it? No, it doesn't. Now with archmaning Brandon wrapping up the whole cake bit, thank the heavens. He never got around her own more with those butter knives. What? I'm sure on Lordway, use the bar knives. No, no, I understand. I understand. Yeah, I got it. I got the connection. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. He doesn't. Okay. Uh, Nascar, he's my cake. He's cake. Bitch. Is this cake? That's what I'm gonna. I want to do. I want to be. I want to go on the ESPN's broadcast when they do Texas and Texas A&M later this year. We're bringing in Brandon Walker from Barstool to call this drive. And what do you see tonight? Bitch, is this cake? That's what I want to do. Uh, anyway, uh, the chase is rolling into Talladega with championship pressure on the line. And the biggest party in racing is happening all around it. Of course, I'm talking about Talladega. I don't know if you boys have ever been in Talladega. It is something the hell else. It's a, it's a, it's it. Once the best race you're gonna see and it wants the best scene of humanity that you will ever see. College students, consider this your excuse to take your Talladega to Talladega with the yellowwood 500 college offer. Choose your seat, bring your crew camp and Talladega for free. And yes, you can bring your own cooler. Grab your friends, pack the drinks and make a weekend out of it. Or if you're currently suffering from Talladega nice withdrawal, we've got a cure for that too. The Degadcon ticket package gets you into the race, exclusive merch and the chance to meet cast members from Talladega Knights. Keep it simple. General tickets are available too. However you decide to do Talladega, don't be the one hearing about it afterward. Grab your tickets now because it's Talladega, anything can happen in college football, anything can happen to including Bob Chesding in year one, conquering Dan landing and year whatever it is after Dan landing and Oregon come in top five team, everything's great. My national championship pick and by October 10th, that is over. It is out the window. I have many, many elements here, but number one is UCLA just beat them up. They just beat them up. They win night at 103 yards. UCLA, I believe I wrote it down 47 carries for 140 yards. Now that's not a great average arch for carries. Just not. But it also is the exact formula for winning this game because that allowed them to stay on the field for 40 minutes, 40 minutes to 20, 40 minutes to 20, two thirds of the game, UCLA had the ball. I thought going in, Dylan Raeola showed enough promise against USC. I was like, oh, soft landing here. I know Dante Moore's out, but Dylan Raeola is good enough to win these games. And he was as bad a college quarterback as I have ever seen today. As I have ever seen, I have five of 19 is what you said. It felt like five for a hundred and nineteen. He was ridiculous, worse than bad. And now Oregon fans not only have to live with the indignity of this season following apart. The future might have just fallen apart. The dilemma. Ella was brought in to sit for a year and then be the guy coming in the next couple of years. That better not happen because my god. Anyway, this should be about UCLA. They dominated them. They physically beat them up. Yeah, we did. And I knew we would. I thought that was the best. That was not why I thought that is definitely the best defensive line performance. Morgan has had all year. Their guys did a great job up front. May it really difficult for for our guys for our running backs to be able to get skinny, get through and break off big runs. Obviously way no did on touch on run. But what I don't know how that felt watching Brandon from from broadcast. What a bizarre, ugly, beautiful football game. I kind of been great to watch, but it could have been amazing to watch. It's one of those beautifully nasty ugly things where you know the team that's winning. This is how they want to do it. So you kind of give into it. And you're kind of like, Oh, okay. Now, as far as both, you know, we got to back up quarterbacks on both teams. The starting quarterbacks were awful on both teams. You know, there were interceptions galore. There was crazy plays galore. But again, to me, my biggest question out of Oregon is this. They have such an advantage in player acquisition over the rest of the country. As far as the money, the scene, the, the Nike of it all, they have an advantage over everybody in the country when it comes to player acquisition. So why if you have this advantage and you're able to sign high four and five stars all over the place and get whatever transfers you want. If you have that ability to put together a roster, that advantage over everybody else, why are you getting out tough? Ever, ever, why is there ever a situation where you get out tough? Why isn't that the first thing you go, go fucking look for? I, whatever I'm going to go by when I take my walled out, I want a tough football player. And Oregon doesn't do it. And UCLA first year under Bob Chasney already a tougher team than Oregon. That's fucking embarrassing for Dan Lanning. Yeah. I, I'm not getting disagree. I think it is pretty jarring. I think you go back to what Katie said. He wasn't wrong, but he used that the wrong time. When they were playing at the same USC, the same exact thing, but worse, the one thing that stood out to me here, Brandon was Oregon's wider sewers. What a great crop of talent they had. Were they able to separate? No, no, they had the clamps on them all game. Like I understand Rayola was bad. He was really bad. It's not like he had open guys to throw to ever. And that is what I was most proud of is I was seeing all these people talk about. Oh, the UCLA defense is fine. Like they're okay. Oregon is going to be always going to defense hasn't played their best all season. They balled out today. That defensive group is so much better than the prod that you've seen in the prior four games. I felt like our past rush. We weren't even having to blitz them heavy, but Sammy O. Massigo, that guy is in the back field whenever he wants. He's breaking up passes whenever he wants. Say your West played a great game. Like it wasn't ugly, or sorry, it wasn't pretty. It was ugly. And I'm happy it was because I'm happy they won that way, showed they could win that way because that might be the worst game they play all year. Did you high five, Chesney? Was that? Uh, the UCLA people are too good at me, Brandon. Bob and I, we talked briefly after the game. I was talking with his dad and mom and brother too. It's becoming a problem. Everyone wants me to go to every game. Yeah, I feel really good for you that you get to go to your teams games and they win and everybody's happy. That's fantastic. That's good stuff. You don't know. It's good stuff. I really, I really, what are we looking at? Oh, this is what happens when you have another bloatman on the producing. Well, yeah, that's Chesney and the, okay, little dap up after the game. What are you? Will Compton now? You just dappin people? That's all you do is dab. That's that. Welcome to the show. Welcome to say, Joe Taylor LeWan, I'm going to travel all over the country, just dapp people. Not my problem, bud. All right, we're going to get to Indiana Nebraska. Speaking of speaking of Indiana, Nebraska, we're going to talk about that one. We're on the road to Las Vegas. That's where the championship is this year. No better place to watch. Cause we're all the Las Vegas. Cause football season is the best time to go out to Vegas. The road to Vegas. Cause we're all national titles there for the first time. But it doesn't just end in Vegas. It builds here all season. There's no better place to watch colors football from opening kickoff to rivalry weekends to the cost for ball national championship. Vegas is the place where fans can turn every game day into a full-on trip. You got the sportsbook energy, the poolside screens, the golf between kickoffs, the packed venues that they mentioned. They incredible food in Vegas. But it could go on and on and on. Vegas is the ultimate away game weekend. The ideal football weekend is spent out in Vegas, just watching every screen eating every morsel of delicious food and getting ready for the college football playoff. College football is at its best in Las Vegas. Go to visit Las Vegas dot com. Cause football doesn't just end in Vegas. It builds here all season visit Las Vegas dot com and check it out. All right. Indiana Nebraska was the first game of the day. I think there's two elements to this. To this. There's a Nebraska side in the Indiana side. I'll start with the Indiana side. I think what we saw today was a very positive development out of them, which is going to sound weird because they weren't all that impressive. But I think it showed they've reached the point as a program where they can show up and somebody else is building play their C minus game and still win the game. And they they they were not great. I don't know if Hoover's good enough for them to get to where they're going to go. In fact, I feel pretty strong. He's not. They don't have the running game they had last year. Couldn't run the ball today. Physically on the defensive line, they don't manhandle you like they did last year. But again, all of that being said, they had their C plus game. They went to Nebraska, won a row game. And that's that's not something Indiana football for the it's entire history could say. And they did it on the flip side. Nebraska has become the face of losing winnable football games. Nebraska has become the face of when you get to the doorstep to the mountain and you're about to go up. You always can't get the you always fall down the steps. No matter when that they're five and oh, they're four and oh, if they're seven and oh, if they're second one, the first big game they have, they're going to blow it. And that's who they are. That's who Matt rule has been. I thought they had that game. They went up 17 seven and immediately, I mean, immediately gave up a 75 yard touchdown. And then on the fourth and one where Indiana scored the game winner, it was the worst. I can't fathom a college defensive coordinator coming up with a plan to let Nick Marsh and the other guy running free in your secondary, not open free. They were by themselves. And again, another thing about Indiana, there were times under Nick Sabin's Alabama, you know, Kirby smarts Georgia, Ohio State, where you go on the road to a place you know, you're going to win. And maybe you start sleepy like a Georgia Vanderbilt or an Alabama Arkansas, you start sleepy, but then you just have that one guy who's just so much better in everybody else. I was Nick Marsh today six catches 170 yards. I think two touchdowns. He was incredible. Which one do you lean towards the Indiana side of the Nebraska side of love? I in Nebraska, to me, the result just feels like purgatory that they'll never crawl out of. And this was, of course, as you said, a very winable game. They were in a very winable position that most teams aren't going the squander. When you look at Indiana, great that they won. Continue to build. It's hard to win. I understand it's hard to win on the road, but it's, it's week after week that we keep coming back, talking ball on the Saturday night. And our worries are still there. And their worries that we're prevalent in non-conference play against absolutely inferior opponents. There doesn't, there just doesn't seem to be a good flow with Josh Hoover at quarterback, which is surprising because he's doing a very good job of keeping the ball safe and not turning it over. But is he, maybe playing too safe? I can't like, can fully speak for today's game. But the offense align feels fine. It feels like they took a step back. The defense feels like they took a big step back too. And they're not as daunting and physical and feisty and scary as they were the last year. They just, they feel like a good team. Yeah, they're good. They're solid. I, they're not, they're not great right now. And I don't know if they'll be great this year. Maybe they will be six of great coach. So if anybody can get them to be great, they're not great right now. Hoover's just pretty good. They can't run the ball. Three yards per carry today. They don't scare you. Their offensive line doesn't scare you. They don't mull you like they did last year. The defensive line doesn't, doesn't make you have to pack a lunch to play him like they did last year. And I wonder, you know, is that the defensive line that's so experienced and so veteran did they just, have they just physically peaked? Like I, I don't know. Is that something we got to worry about with a team that has so many transfers to they just physically peaked one year and he kind of gradually go down. But they didn't win the game. And I don't think they're the national, I don't think they'll win the national title this year. But, you know, playoff is something that they can do and they can go get. And yeah, but for Nebraska, it's just never happening again. It's just never happening again. I, they, they, every time they get excited, every time they feel that place, every time they do whatever, they just know how to lose and losers lose. And right now, Nebraska's a losing culture. I don't know how you get out of it. If I did, did you, did you see the stats white boy, Rick Tweed about? No, I actually muted white boy, Rick, because he's a Notre Dame fan, pretending to be an Indiana fan since it's okay. Okay. Okay. Um, he tweeted my, my phone's being slow. He tweeted. these stats of Anthony Kalandria after pointing at Will Compton. - Yeah, I saw that. That was a pretty clever tweet by Notre Dame Rick. It was, yeah, yeah. It was like five of 16, a couple of interceptions, something like that, hold on. Five of 13, I and T, call back for a roughing. Two rushes for negative four yards, two stacks, taking one, three and out, two turnovers on downs. Yeah, I don't know. - That's tough. It's tough and it looks tough, but like that's also, Indiana is a good defense. So I'm not gonna sit there and hold on. - Nice, I won't see one go through in that for Willy. - Sure, sure. All right, a lot of other teams, let's go down the, let's run off some rapid fire takes and then we'll get to our categories. The game of the night, I think, happened in Lexington, Kentucky, where Kentucky goes wins 35, 34 over LSU. There's a lot of thoughts here. Number one is, welcome back to major college football, Kentucky and welcome to the fucking big time Will Stein. That guy is the dude and legit. And I hate that I spent this week saying, I thought LSU was gonna win because I did say, at the beginning of the season, I thought LSU, I thought Kentucky was gonna get either Alabama or LSU at home and here they up and did it. But I kind of walked out of back this week and I was like, I think LSU is a get right spot for them and they just blew every opportunity to make it a get right spot. And I'd like to know who that coach in Baton Rouge is and what he's done with Lane Kiffin. Fourth and one, fourth and one, Liam, they got a three point lead, I believe. Fourth and one, they got three point lead. They're at about midfield, probably, they're on the negative side. They're at like the 40 something. But Lane Kiffin, the Lane Kiffin, I know, goes for that. He ends the game right there. He goes for it. And this Lane Kiffin, the one in Baton Rouge, punted the football. What happened to Lane Kiffin? Where did the Lane Kiffin, it's fourth down and I'm fucking getting this and I'm cutting his throat out. Where did that go? Is it because I, the only thing I can come up whether he just doesn't trust quarterback. He didn't think Lev, it's good enough. And so he's trying to play careful and careful guy. But Lane Kiffin's not a careful guy and Will Stein's not a guy you can play careful against. And Kenny mentioned he's not a quarterback, you can play careful against. And if you give him life, if you give him air, they're gonna get the fuck up. And that's what Kentucky did. This ain't Kentucky from a few years ago when Mark Stupas lay down and pilafight with you. This fucking Will Stein, man. And he gets down there, he scores a touchdown and over time, he goes for two and Blake Baker, a defensive coordinator, or LSU, what are you doing? They, he just goes four across the front. He lets him, he lets Will Stein spread him out all the way through. And there's nothing there to stop the quarterback draw. It was the most obvious quarterback draw and the history of quarterback draws. And Blake Baker just lets it happen. It was a bizarre coaching night for LSU. But it shouldn't, we shouldn't focus on that. Even though LSU is now pretty much done as a playoff team, they're not gonna go on to feed to the rest of the season, not with the way they're playing. And now let's focus on Kentucky, who has gotten up off the mat and put themselves into this big SEC competition. So shout out to Kentucky, shout out to Will Stein, shout out to Kenny Menchie, shout out to all those Kentucky fans who hope beyond hope they had hired the right guy. And if you look at Oregon and you look at Kentucky, you sure fucking did hire the right guy. - I think 880,000 people were watching that two-point conversion and screamed at the TV, it's gonna be a QB draw. And LSU, nobody on the roster had a clue that was coming. That was jarring. They played, Kentucky played the numbers. They had five on four and that's too easy. That's way too easy. I've become six on four with the ball in the quarterback's hands. Well, you're right, Brandon. I don't know what happened to Lane Kiffin. It was four than one at the 43. The only thing I could think of is maybe he was created in the same bakery that Archmaning was. Maybe he's become cake to. - But Lane's not cake, Lane's never been cake. Lane turned the cake to Ben Rouge, he's a king cake. - We might be a king cake. - He can't be a king cake, I just don't know where. That's not Lane Kiffin football. That's not Lane, Lane. You could make an analytical case or you could make an old school case, conservative case, trust your defense, kick it down there when the game's sure. But that's not what Lane's ever been at Ole Miss. He's going for it regardless. If it's fourth and less than five and he's anywhere near like out of his red zone, he's fucking going for it. And tonight with the chance to win a road game in the fucking SEC, he coward and he didn't do it. He's gotta just hate his quarterback. That's the only thing I can think of. He hates his quarterback. - And, sorry, go ahead. - No, sorry, go ahead. - Okay, sorry. Flip side of it, Brandon. Who's not a coward? Who's not a low-coward boy? - Well, sorry. - Well, Stein is all about football being aggressive, knowing he's calculated aggressive. He knows exactly time and place when to bring it out. Kentucky became the first team in that BS history to win consecutive games in overtime by exactly one point. - That's crazy. - No fucking shit. - And that's all well, Stein. - That's a hard stat to believe if I'm being honest. - Real stat. - Yeah, but I guess you don't really win a lot of overtime games by one point. - No. - You only do it if you stick your nuts on the table. - Yeah, you only do it if you stick your nuts on the table and go for two twice. - I would die for that, man. He is a phenomenal football coach in Kentucky. He is blessed beyond belief that they got him in their doors. - I would like to point out a couple of things that happen on Friday night. Iowa goes on the road and just destroys the rotting corpse that is Washington football. Hey, maybe next time Washington, when your quarterback tells you he wants to leave and he doesn't want to play anymore, just let him, just let him, because whatever culture you've got now is pathetic. And your coach probably wants out too. So I don't know. I don't know how you build Humpty Dumpty back in Washington because they are a lifeless shell of a program. Iowa, Iowa of all teams had multiple receivers just running open. Did you see the play where an Iowa receiver is open about 10 yards down the field, but he points to the guy who's more open than him. 20 yards down the field. Like that shouldn't be happening ever with the Iowa Hawkeyes. But anyway, Iowa, by the way, will be, I'll say this Monday night, but they will be the team that gets to the playoff because of their schedule, or at least because of their schedule, 'cause they might not be the ring team this year and they might be in the playoff. But both cross that bridge when we get to it and all that matters is you get to the playoff. Doesn't matter what else happens. And BYU won on Friday night, setting up BYU Northern Aim next week, which gets college game day. - Yep, but we're Fox people. Yeah. - Yeah. - We're Fox people. Brandon, BYU Northern Aim will be really, really fun. Yeah, can't wait. I care more about what happened this week and they'll be quite honest. - Yeah, we'll get there. We'll get there. A couple more to hit before we get to our awards and our categories. Ryobi, here's my, here's my, I gotta buy it. I gotta get more Ryobi down here. I gotta go from my garage here. Yes, we have to do an ad real quick, but we're back to football. Building Napier, Greater Than John Sumeral. And that's the team I know that I've been wrong a lot. And I'll be right a lot. I'll be wrong a lot. But I was the number one break pumper about the Florida Gators. And I don't know if a team has gone from the bell of the ball to a joke quicker than John Sumeral, quicker than the Florida Gators, quicker than everything that's going on down there. All I heard for four weeks was Florida fans saying Jayne Ball for Heisman, Jayne Ball for Heisman, calling me this, calling me that. He's nothing. He's been nothing the last two weeks, 59 yards today. And they get destroyed by Shane Beemer and the South Carolina Gamecocks. One thing to lose 38 and 19, it's a whole nother to lose the South Carolina who has made losing an art form this year. South Carolina has had been one of the biggest train wrecks on all of College Football. They were up 16, nothing Mississippi State lost. They were up 17, nothing against Kentucky lost. Like they keep finding ways to lose, except when they go to the swamp and they beat the shit out of John Sumeral and the Florida Gators 38 to 19. - I got nothing other to say than I'm a big idiot. - I fell for the Gator beat. - You had 'em, you had 'em as a top 10 team, playoff team ball. All that I felt for all the gator bay and I own up to a hand up. I'm not the smartest guy. I get some things right some things wrong I got this one painfully wrong. I'm flat out embarrassed. I couldn't even tweet anything about it They got shell shocked by Lenora sellers corpse and Shane Beamer's Raveyard, but they had to dig up Shane Beamer from the cemetery to get this win. This is It's a weird thing what the rankings to be and like Florida will be out now Why can Tucky drop after there when last week? Why dropped out of the rankings was bizarre Thank you. Take the union AP talk. Yeah The signs were there the signs were Florida were They beat Ole Miss and Ole Miss was coming off that emotional thing and then we jumped them way up But the signs we should have read were this was a team last year. There was just they were four or eight And they didn't bring in that many transfers. They didn't bring they didn't know there was no upheaval to this roster at all It was pretty much the same roster with a new quarterback couple of new shiny things And but like the defense is pretty much intact. It was garbage last year and it was garbage today The running back room is pretty much intact. It wasn't good enough today The offensive line isn't something that you write home about they had one good day a couple of weeks ago when they got a Depleted team coming off from a emotional win and everybody crowned them and it was the quarterback's not good enough The quarterback is not good enough for them to be good. They're an eight fourteen this year and that's good That's good in year one. I actually I say they're eight and four if they're losing the South Carolina by three touchdowns They might not be eight and four But it's a huge quick fall from grace in the SEC for the Florida Gators Let me just run through these through these other games and you tell me when you want to talk welcome Oh Pit Went five and oh one of Virginia Tech pat and our doozy was like hey AP voters you better rake as you better respect us We're fucking good You and see goes in there and beat some today. I know they have the backup quarterback But shout out to the North Carolina tar heels not wake forest 38-14 over NC State wake by the way five and one in the ACC Five and one and doing some things. This is a team you love for a while Another team that you love for a while Oregon State 66-14 over San Diego State including a player who's gonna be in my top 10 and Just a minute. I see the big cat and and people are really starting to notice what big cat was already on it But people are really starting to notice how fun Oregon State is Yeah big cat I got on them early. I'm not sure why he got on them I got in this Oregon State team flukely because I was watching the Houston Oregon State game week one with intent of seeing How Houston was gonna play and all of a size the atkinson playing in LaGurie's catchin and And in the market shopper's just so fun and then you watch them against Texas Tech and both those games They were in on them. They could win both those games. I tell you all week all week Brandon Poor NDSU is now probably out of the play out discussion by told you Oregon State is gonna really contend for the Pac-12 Championship with Boise State and there's a real legitimate chance that Oregon State ends up being the group of six right Which is an unbelievable storyline to think about when you go back to All the realignment in Oregon State in the Washington State got left behind left for dead felt like they would never be anything again But snap of the finger. It's one great hire and you're right back to it and you could do it from the group of six table and Their quarterback I just see where duo is top three in the sport Speaking of teams. I would like to welcome Purdue back from the dead Purdue by the way They beat Minnesota day 41-13. I know Minnesota was like an it team for the last couple of weeks This PJ Fleck was doing all the post game skits and whatnot They could beat 41-13 today by Purdue Purdue is an over time a double overtime loss to wait for us away from being foreign to Like they're not they're not a terrible football team. So shout out to them. They're running back for Purdue. Dia My answer boy warmly miserable golden goat for who I believe unbelievable game again today and close to his chest today Illinois 38 Michigan State 37 did you see the two point aversion Michigan State ran to try to win the game No, actually still having I saw Paffin share with flippin off the Illinois sideline. That's all. Yeah, Philly special They ran Philly special they were and and they ran Philly special poorly. It was bad It was terrible. It was awful. And I think we're a decade into Philly special or like eight years into Philly special Let's all try to find the next trick play that's going to work. Oh, oh, that was yeah, didn't get close did not get close Somebody says Notre Dame kick Purdue's ass. We don't really talk about Notre Dame here because until they take themselves seriously as a big-time Costable ball program and actually play somebody I'll just now they won 58 to seven today I don't know what you can say about Notre Dame other than the fact. Well, I guess we'll see them for the first time next week I look forward to watching the hours play Let's get to the categories including the top 10 players of the week But I want to do the most impressive team the team that won the week and I will do that off the top And I'll go ahead and tell you about Reese's because our number one category is the most impressive team Then we got the most depressing team the most badass thing we saw of the day Yeah, I told you so the hand up. I was wrong and the what are we doing award and I I got a doozy for that one You know, there's a there's one name out of Texas that I'm gonna be mentioning in there because what the hell Yeah, there's a couple but but yeah, that one that one is is way way way way up there actually the other one you probably didn't see Where's the other. Yeah, I'm excited. Did you do you know why there was a delay in the Oklahoma Texas game? No, I didn't even know there was a delay I'll save that for in a minute because I got to tell you what it is and When I tell you're not gonna believe why they delayed the star of that football game for three minutes You're not gonna fucking believe it Anyway, you will not believe that but here we go I'm gonna do Reese's winner of the week the most impressive team Reese's is the winner in my household you see it right there I love the Reese's. I love the old peanut butter cups. They've got so many great So many great products so many great things that you can eat we've got a Reese's room in our office and it's fantastic Whenever I'm on a road trip. I stopped at a gas station. Give me a couple of Reese's a water and I'm ready to go and that's a great snack for me I love it It's always a winner and so too is our winner of the week my Reese's winner of the week the Georgia Bulldogs I think I'm gonna rank them the number one team in the country. I Assume a lot of other people will rank them the number one team in the country as Texas falls down a higher state Really not ready to go back up there yet with the loss Notre Dame and Miami and Indiana haven't done anything yet So I've got them as number one team in the country. They go into Tuscaloosa tonight They went in Tuscaloosa for the first time in 19 years and they do it by just being tougher stronger faster You know Keeling Russell was the the big story in college football this week But he ran up against a bus saw he ran up against speed that he hadn't seen he ran up against size He hadn't seen he didn't handle it that well the entire game He has a couple flash plays, but Georgia was the better team Georgia had the better plan They had the more physical guys and they were the better team tonight. Did they benefit from Past or fairs call that should have been past or fairs. Yes, they certainly did they were still better throughout that game The Georgia Bulldogs my winner of the week Liam. Oh, let me guess what your winner of the week my big go ahead All right, it's Houston who got 28-3 on Kansas state and won a really tough road game in a very tight big 12 race Patrick over Meyer had four touchdowns praise sensation. Well good for Houston. That's a great one That's super now do your real winner. That was it. I'm an honest man The Reese's winner of the week, please. Yep. That was that Houston go ahead and just Talk about your UCLA real quick. Well, I think I think everyone at UCLA for having me Jordan Bob His old fan Chasing old family everyone. They are all incredible people. I love them all just a senior the Chessie senior demand a segment on the show. Yeah He inadvertently called out EVO I cut out the video. He says he said something about wedding because I told him like I was trying to got other people here And people chose weddings and baseball over this They kind of called it leave. Oh Chess Chessie senior knows who EVO is on acts. I we we talked a lot of ball man It was a great weekend here. I love it. By the way, I chose Georgia. He chose you see I chose Houston, but certainly Kentucky could have been a choice here Oklahoma could have been a choice here a lot of a lot of teams this week as it once again I thought from front to back from rooted to the best Saturday of college football Particularly tonight's late really some really good stuff. We'll go through the entire scoreboard in a minute to catch what we missed But there you go. Liam, who's the most depressing team of the week? I think this is a really tough decision between three teams. I'm gonna stick. I'm gonna. Oh maybe four or five teams now I think about more. I'm gonna stick with Washington though because every single time I've watched Washington I feel like in the first half I'm tweeting wow this team is bad. This team is legitimately bad And they're really really really bad. I was thinking at every level. Why did I pick on like laugh? I don't know Demand Williams didn't want to be there and then you brought that up all right, but then you think about they sued to get them back They they were threatening the suit to get lawyers involved and that's what you're bringing back in he's getting a bench They're getting a bench on the back of quarterback outplayed him against Iowa not growing great. Jetfish, you said probably wants out. Brother, that man wants out of every, I love jetfish. He wants out of every job as soon as he gets there. He's always thinking about the next best thing, Washington's depressing, but coach and carousel stuff might make him pretty interesting and fun again. We'll see. My most depressing team and boy, Oregon is way up there just with how pathetic they look. There's one thing to lose two times. There's another thing to have a back. Up, quarter back, who was a former five star and he is the worst player you've ever seen on a football field. And then to just be pumped on your own field, that sucks in this depressing and I picked him to be my national champion. They depressed me too. The Florida Gators are depressing. Two weeks ago, you're on a high, you're living life. Everything's back. The old ball coach just feels like Spurrier again. It feels like Urban Meyer again, but it's a lie and I told you it was a lie and you still believed it. You're pretty good, you're okay, but you just got shit pumped in your own house by an awful South Carolina team, but the most depressing team of the week. I think, because you have to, you have to bring in scale and scope here. You have to bring in opportunity. You have to bring in feelings. And the worst feeling every football fan has every year is when they realize, when they lose for the first time and they realize, oh, we're not there again. Again, it's not us. Again, it's not us. And it's been happening to Nebraska for 30 years, over 30 years. It's been happening over and over and over again. And these are people now, a whole generation of Nebraska fans who have been raised by their parents and grandparents, and their parents and grandparents tell them what it was like under Tom Osborne. They tell them what was like in the 70s and the 80s and the 90s. And they tell them how we used to win national titles and they tell them how we used to be feared and how we used to do these things. And they think that is born under them. And any moment now, it's gonna show back up. And any moment now, they show up to the stadium. And here it is. Here's the day. Here's the day we return. They won't. They're scared of a good Nebraska. The country can't handle a good Nebraska. 6 and 0 is right in your fingertips. You're up double digits in the second half. And your quarterback is pointing at podcasters and everything is going great. And then it isn't. And then an actual championship team shows up. And then an actual championship coach shows up. And then an actual championship program says, this is how you win football games when it's tough. And Indiana is just bang, bang. They're up and they win the game. And Nebraska will never have it again. They dominated in an era where Tom Osborne knew how to dominate in that era. And other teams were slow to do what he did. Now everybody's doing what you do to dominate in an era. And Nebraska will just never get it back. And that's depressing. That is depressing. Next category. The most badass thing I saw today. Liam, what's the most badass thing you saw in College football today? The clip of the Oklahoma Game Wing field goal was Sean McDonough voice cracking all over the stadium. That I stole Brandon's for sure. I definitely stole brands. I stole Brandon's. There's no fucking way. That's what you picked. There's just no way. There's no way. There's no fucking way that you chose what I wrote down. There's no way. There's no way you chose that. I did. You chose it right down the voice crack. I literally wrote down. Sean McDonough voice crack. That's pretty much why I wrote down. Yeah, I said Sean McDonough voice crack. The kick is good. All right. You speak. You speak. He's our guy. Then why did you take it? I didn't think you're going to take it. I thought you're going to take Ricky Ronnie going down the mudslide. You know what you are. You know what you're taking. It's your cake. All right. I'll switch. I'll switch. I don't talk about Sean. No, no, no, no. Well, I'll talk about it, but that can be yours. But did I think Sean McDonough had a couple of voice cracks today. It was on the arch pick with 19 seconds left. He voice cracked. And then he voice cracked on the field goal. And it was incredible. And I realized cost wall should celebrate this imperfect voice that cracks when he gets excited. It's unbelievable. He's such a great legend. I think it should be more propped up. I think he should be more celebrated. Sean McDonough is one of the best we fucking gotten sports. And it's amazing. His voice cracks tell us the story. And it was great. But since you took it, my other most bad ass thing is Gunner Stockton staring down Alabama on 3rd and 10 with two minutes and 57 seconds left. Alabama has chosen taking a time out on 1st down on 2nd down. And then they have a choice. Do they run on 3rd down and get rid of Alabama's last time out. A lot of coaches do that and they get their ass beat. But Georgia to their credit said Gunner, we trust you. Go make a play. And he throws a fucking laser beam dart right in there. It gets a 1st down. 5 seconds later games over. Gunner Stockton tonight didn't have statistically the best game you'll ever see. But tough is fucking nail. It just goes into a hurricane against Alabama. And isn't rattled by shit. Isn't rattled by his interception earlier? Isn't rattled by anything. I thought Gunner Stockton was the most bad ass dude. I saw all day long. The I told you so award Liam. Go ahead. Texas as mid as it gets man. There's I mean offense is never in sync. I don't think Sark is fully locked in. You brought up. They haven't developed arch much at all. He feels like the same quarterback he was two years ago. That's not great. Well, honestly, probably see arch back in 2027. So get it up and get ready. You can't you can't even drill it into my brain to make sense that people really thought this was the best team in college football. I'm carrying it there. There's not they're fine. They're fine team. They'll probably make the playoff. They're nothing special. Man, make me my words. I mean, playoff's not guaranteed for them after Luzia. I know I was being nice. They got a trip to Baton Rouge. I believe they got a trip. They got they got Ole Miss coming in who looked like Helen Wheels today. Trying to add Chandler's and Kiwan Lazy. Look really good. What award is this? The I told you so award. Yeah. So I had a couple. I was the biggest break pumper on the Florida Gators when everybody was going crazy and putting them in the playoff and everything. I said, hold hold the phone everybody. This isn't quite that team. So shout out to that. I had that one right. And also I'm going to share this one with Blutman. Last year in October, when everything was going good and the schedule was easy, there were other college football media people that were pumping up Marcel Reed for Heisman and both of us raised our hand to this grant of our old co-host too. I love. And we raised our hands and said, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. This he's cake. And Marcel Reed, not even cake. If he is cake, he's like the cake you buy at the grocery store without any writing on it. Just as happy. Yeah. Yeah. He's bad sheet cake because he's awful. Missouri wins again today. 276. And again, I started seeing people start today. They're like, should Missouri be a playoff team? They're a problem. Stop doing that. Every time an SEC team wins a game, even I'm getting sick of it. Every time an SEC team wins a game, I think it's having a Kentucky now. Like, can they make the playoff? Shout the fuck up. Just let it fucking happen. These teams who get these big wins will have another game next week. And then let's just wait and before we say everybody. But anyway, Marcel Reed awful. Terrible. Texas A&M. Their coach will be coming up in the category in just a minute. Their garbage. They're just a bad football team. Missouri beat some 27 to 6. I just realized I usually like to do the top 10 players before we do the categories. So let's let me do my top 10 players right now that I saw in college football this weekend. They're in no order, even though I did order them. Number one player in college football. I saw this weekend. Yeah. Number one player I saw in college football this weekend. Isaac Brown from Louisville last night. 17 carries. 235 yards and a breath taking 97 yard touchdown run. Two touchdowns. I've been waiting for Isaac Brown to pop off all year. And he did. He was incredible. 17 carries. 235 yards. Two touchdowns. Number two Nick Marsh, Indiana six catches. 187 yards. Two touchdowns and two back breaking touchdowns. The two most important touchdowns of the day and the big 10 basically. Number three Jamal Roberts. Missouri 222 yards. Two touchdowns. Number four Bearbuck Meyer on Friday night was unbelievable. I had over 440 yards of total offense. He ran for 109. He had three touchdown. No way. How many have I wrote down? Yeah, I think he had three touchdowns. But he threw for 329. He ran for 109. He was unbelievable. Lenore sellers today. 280 yards. Five touchdowns. Unbelievable game from Lenore sellers in the swamp. Come on. Is that Camarri Molten? Iowa. Is that his name? I wrote it down. He had 208 yards and two touchdowns on the road on the ground. No, Fita Arizona. 341 yards. Three touchdowns on the road at West Virginia. Jesse LaGree, the freshman receiver that he has talked about. Liam's talked about so much recently. Jesse LaGree 10 catches. 191 yards. Three touchdowns. Gunner Stockton. I wrote down. I haven't looked up a stat yet. Don't care. He was incredible tonight against Alabama. And then how about Geo Lopez? How about Geo Lopez for Wake Forest? 303 yards. Four touchdowns. Liam, do you have your list? Because I know you're an organ. I know you haven't been able to watch as much as you wanted to watch. Yeah, I didn't think it would be fair for me to come up with the list because I didn't go watch much. I would have just said, I would have been getting credit to Georgia quarterback playing, running back play in the and just bringing up. We've talked a lot about Dylan Rayola thrown two picks. We haven't talked enough about the Legion brew forcing seven total turnovers, four fumbles. Love performance by my guys. One of them was and there was such a great, I don't know, were you on the sideline the whole game? Yes, I would just walk up and down. There was a play where it was like at the Oregon 30 and they had it out by the sideline and like one guy hit him and jar the ball loose. The second guy stripped it after it got jar loose and the third guy just ran right into his hands. It was an unbelievable play. It was awesome and I wish I had better names for you than the guys. I should have wrote down their names. Anyway, how about if they hand up, I was wrong award. Are you ready for that? Yeah, can I be brief and just say Florida, I'm an idiot, I was wrong. I don't know what I was doing, what I was smoking, I won't smoke, but what I was thinking, what drugs I was on, I don't do drugs. But whatever was happening to me, the floor was atop 18. I drank all the cool, like all the body armor, all the gator bay, I did a real bad job and hand up. That's on me. I can't be perfect. I hope to bat like 50, 60%. That's what I hope for. This was one of the worst calls of my life. Liam, they scream your failures. They whisper your successes. That's life in our business. He is always louder than love. Hand up. I was wrong. I was wrong on Oregon multiple ways and let me, I'm going to come with my hat and my hand plate or of a plate in my hand. Please fill this up with all the hate you have because not only was I wrong with Oregon to begin the season where I thought they I picked them to win the national championship believing in a team in a program. I've never wanted to believe him, but I did it. I just dove right in. I said, Dante Moore, Dan Lanning, sign me up. Let's go win a national title and by October 10th, that's over. But not only that, even this week, after watching the USC game last week, I thought, but Dylan Raiola, look pretty good. Look pretty good. What a good replacement. That's going to be what smart transfer of portaling that is to have such a great quarterback as your backup. They're going to be fine. They're going to get right back in this mix and they're going to be in the playoff and he forgot how to play football. He was the worst player I've ever seen with my eyeballs today. I was wrong all the way around on Oregon. My God, how much could I be wrong on one team? We'll go around the country and do our scoreboard just a second chat. Anybody got anything? I'm on the UK bandwagon and cheering for past coordinators from afar says Michael Dunn, the ZBFW, no press math, Michigan owned Oklahoma, Oklahoma and Texas. Yeah, he's an idiot. I don't know press math because he's a fucking moron. Oklahoma State going to win the big two out of championship. They were, they kind of struggled a little bit early out of the gate today, but ended up getting together. We'll go through the scoreboard in a minute. Where are the Bama fans at? That's football guy. That's not how it works. Alabama fans don't show up when they lose. That's not. I've been, I've done this for 30 years in Alabama. When Alabama fans lose, they're not around. You can, you can scream as much as you want. They will not be here. Anyway, so we've got the what are we doing award? I'm going to do my little miniature one that I need to tell you about and then I'm going to do my real one. Okay. Are you ready for the miniature one that I need to tell you about? Yes. Liam, Oklahoma and Texas was delayed for about three minutes at the start. What happened was the kicking team came out and the receiving team came out and they have the formations that you expect them to have. And the rest said, hold on. We can't play yet. Send them both off the field to get Gatorade or get whatever they were drinking. Send them off the field to get water as we attended to the delay. The delay was there were no back pylons in the in zone. The front pylons at the corners, the front pylons at the corners were there. The back pylons, including the two corners and the two under the goalposts or two near the goalposts were not there. Now, Liam, you say to yourself, why are back pylons so important? Why didn't they just kick the ball off and then just fill them in as they got them? No idea. No fucking idea. I know that 90,000 people waited in the cotton bowl. I waited. Everybody in the world waited as they had this one guy, apparently only one guy had him because one one guy took him down. It was that guy in the yellow shirt. He took him one by one for some reason. He walked the pylon down, put it down. He walked back. I don't know. He walked it down. Then he had, we had to wait for him to walk all the way the other in zone and put it at the back of the in zone. The back pylons, Liam, not the front, not the front, the back to what shine. I respond. I don't know if any pylons in the back, but that held up the game. I mean, perhaps he thought it was carrot cake and was trying to eat some of it. I'm not sure. Brandon, I, I'm floored pylous. This is not what I expect. Oh, I thought maybe another sooner, schooner mishap, that they showed that on the broadcast like this low guy just walking around with the pylon. Liam, they stopped the game. They sent them off. And and Sean McDonald and Greg Mackerel were just sitting there talking about they're basically commentating the guys walk down the sideline as he delivers the pylons one by one. That's what we're watching a guy. Just there he goes. They look, there he goes. He's this guy. He's kind of hurry up, but he ain't nebby for hurry. And he doesn't one by one. So there's one. He has to get the other one. There's another one. And that's what we fucking waited on. He couldn't give one to another guy and be like, yo, put this over there. We got a game start. I have no idea. I have no idea why we couldn't just kick the damn thing off. And then hey, ref, one of this plays going, we're going to go ahead and run the pylons back there. Oh, hey, cool. We don't need him. And we delayed the game. All right. Here's my real one. So what are we doing? award? Mike Elko, what the hell are we doing? What are you doing down there? One great season last year where the schedule got smiled on you and put you in a place. You all didn't deserve. Major quarterback played to a level and people think he could play to a level that he didn't deserve. Texas A&M got to the playoff last year simply on the strength of an easy schedule where their first seven SEC games were against the bottom seven in the conference. And everything was fine and everything was great. Preseason top 10 team and everything's fine. Everything's great. But now we're on October 10th. You've already lost three times. And you've been destroyed a couple of times. And you're getting humbled and you're getting shown that maybe the roster you put together is that good. The quarterback's not that good. And you're going through a tough, tough time as the coach of the Texas A&M Aggies. And that's fine. It happens to a lot of guys. But how you respond to it is often the measure of who you are as a coach and a person and how you responded to it today was take shots at some of your best fans and to take shots at some of your most loyal die hard fans and to take shots at the people who pay your salary. Dude, the people that pay your entire salary. What he did was he got up there and I'm going to paraphrase. I don't have the actual quote in front of me. But this is basically what he said. He said, real fans are going to stand behind us. We asked them to stand behind us. I know Billy's got a cesspool over there. And I'm not worried about them. The Billy he's referring to is Billy Lucci, who runs what I believe to be the best fan site in America, the most successful fan site in America is techsags.com where he, that's the beating pulse of Texas A&M athletics, like it or not. That's where all the fans are. That's where the information is. And that's where the people gather to talk in the marketplace where Texas A&M football is the most important. And he insulted every single one of those people. He insulted the people that care so much about the program they're giving to the program and care so much about the program they're paying for information. They are passionate and die hard. Are they a little bit much sometimes? Yeah, it's the internet. I deal with a little bit much people all the time. I get it. I get where you would be frustrated. But you can't be a sore loser and get your ass kicked multiple times and then say your fans are a cesspool. That's loser shit. That's Jim Bofischer shit. What the fuck are we doing, Mike Alco? Good rant, Brandon. Good rant, Brandon. I saw that half time of my game in it. What? I'm my, my jaw dropped. I could not, I liked Mike Alco. I liked him. It is an easy way to not just lose respect for your fan base, but people across the college football landscape, whether they like Texas A&M or not. I lost a lot of respect for a guy that I've supported these last few years. Like it's just a genuinely asinine thing to say, really tone deaf. I'm sure like, yeah, it's in the heat of the moment. Maybe you regret it, but those words should never be up there in your brain to come out at a critical spot like that. To me, quite honest, brown walker, that's a fireable offense. You lost all the respect from your fan base. They don't care about you at all aim or there's no like weaver at your whole fan bases against you now. He called his own fan base a cesspool. He called his own fan base a cesspool because they are questioning the job he is doing. And by the way, the job he is doing is fucking terrible. Like that's a, it's a, they're a bad football team right now. And the people who's passionate, who's, who's, who's. whose lives revolve around this team being good and who obsess over it and who pay for it and who they are the lifeblood of your program. This is why you have a program. This is why you have a job. It's because of Billy's cesspool. And you just, you insulted them? You get the fuck out, my gal, go, that's bullshit. That's your bullshit. - He's at one of the most prominent football programs in all the world. And he just completely disrespected the great leadership role that he's in. It's a slap in the face again to not just Texas A&M, but people like you and me and all these other people that love the sport. It would break our hearts if one of our head coaches that we love in any sports said that about us. Is Texas A&M a cesspool? No, are they a cult? Yes, are they passionate? The vowed psychopaths? Yes, you should want that. You should does every fan base, every program desires a cult like Texas A&M's for better or for worse. They're weirdo, sure, but they're doing their part brand and it, it's crazy, man, it's crazy. Like, look at yourself in the mirror and understand. You went into the season and said, "Hey, I got Marcel Riacor back, we're chilling." You then go out and just try and get a better back, there's a reason Marcel keeps playing 'cause the other two kids ain't ready. They're QB2 and QB3 and right, sorry. - The worst thing that a fan base can be for a coach in a program is apathetic. And if you ever wanna see a clinic on how to create apathy among your fan base, do what Mike Elco did today. That is, he is about to experience a checked out fan base who doesn't give a shit and he created it. And I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't fucking show up next Saturday, that's what I would do. But you know what, that's me. All right, let's do the, let's just go around the country and go to the scoreboard, that way we can hit. We do this at the end, I don't like to lean on a scoreboard by doing it at the end so that we can make sure that we hit the teams and hit the games that we haven't hit yet. But before I do that, before I get around the country, we'll start in the ACC. This episode is brought to you by Tony's famous Cajun Kick, less salt more garlic, a clean hit of heat. In the ACC Louisville on Friday night, 44-20 over Florida State, as the Mike Norville farewell tour enters its final stages. Wake Forest 38, NC State 14 today. That I think it was 14-14 at one point, and Wake just put it on him. North Carolina 21-Pit 17. That was a good win there for North Carolina, just like kind of an annoyingly decent team for the ACC. Is that a good way to put them? Yeah, that's a really great way. Yeah. Here's a game. This game might surprise everybody. A week ago, Virginia Tech lost for the first time. They were 4-0. They were at home. They had a field goal to win the game. It goes wide left, and then what, nine days later? They're losing to Cal on the road 25-20. A Cal team without JKS. JKS? Is that what I saw? Yeah. Yeah. Wow. Wow. That's the Virginia Tech. The Blue Malt went off the rose very quickly in Virginia Tech. Speaking of the Blue Malt the rose, undefeated Duke goes down. Georgia Tech 28, Duke 25, big win for Brent Key, and the team that apparently just had to relearn football? Yes. And they were never losing in those helmets. Oh, they warmed today? Yeah. They warmed up for auction, if you want. Well, I want them to send me one, but I will go the auction in just a minute. Is that what we've been told that we asked for one, and they said, well, they're going on auction? No. I don't know. OK. Notre Dame 58, Stanford 7. Hope you feel good about yourself, Notre Dame. And then Virginia 28, Syracuse 25 tonight in a pretty thrilling game. You? What? I said you. Yeah. Yeah. Some people had to watch that game. In the big 12, Arizona State 17, Hawaii 6, that's right now at the half. BYU on Friday night 24 to 10 over Iowa State. Don't feel like I was that close. Oklahoma State 42 to 28 over UCF. UCF kind of came out through the first couple of punches and that one led for most of the first half. Not a half time, but Oklahoma State outlasts him, Drew Messermaker, I think 295 yards. They ended up winning that game. Arizona 52, 31 over West Virginia. I don't know if we've, if we certainly talk about the best defenses in the country. If we had a draft for the worst defenses in the country, I think West Virginia might go one one. I mean, you saw what their defense coordinator Zach Alley said right before the game. He said we suck at defense, right? Something to that. Defense and football. Yeah. And he's right. So some coaches have the pulse of their team. Some coaches know what they're talking about and he was exactly right. Houston goes on the road to Kansas State and thumps Kansas State 35 to 16 shout out to Houston. Just kind of lay in there right off the edge of that top line of the big 12 with that early loss to Texas Tech. But and then Utah tonight 41 Kansas 24 Utah still undefeated. I believe five and oh, maybe six and oh, I don't know how many games they play, but they're definitely undefeated in the big 10 Friday night Iowa 41 24 over Washington. We talked about that when we talked about Indiana 20 Nebraska 17. We didn't talk about Northwestern 45 ball state 14 because why would you UCLA 17 Oregon 15 Liam was there. We have Illinois 38 Michigan State 37 after the failed Philly special Ohio State 45 16 over Maryland. Now I did look at presumptive Heisman winter Jeremiah Smith to see where what he did today. Bad game from him. Really bad game for catches 93 yards to touchdowns probably his worst game of the year. And that's pretty good USC 31 23 over Penn State tonight Penn State now with three losses as the Matt Campbell Iowa State higher seems like. It's going to have a rough first year and lastly, Purdue 41 Minnesota 13 anything standing out to you Liam. Yes, Matt Campbell is flowerless cake. Yeah, not even good cake. He's he's cake that he's like. You go to your friends birthday, but his friends parents are organic flower eaten hippies. They're vegan. And they bring out some monstrosity with candlestick and out and you're like, what the hell is that? That's Matt Campbell at Penn State in the SEC, Mizzou 27 Texas A&M 6. We should go over that cesspool of text bags and check in on them South Carolina goes on the road to Florida 38 19 what an embarrassing loss for Florida. Oh you 27 Texas 24 OMS 52 17 over Vanderbilt Tennessee 24 17 over Arkansas boy. There was a time in this game, Liam, where it looked like we were ahead and towards the absolute most embarrassing loss of the season as Tennessee was down 14 to seven to Arkansas and second half. They ended up getting it going. But Tennessee, not very good. Wow. That's why you don't go into your season with inexperience at quarterback in 2026 when it's free to get a quarterback. I mean, cost you a little bit Kentucky 35 LSU 34 Georgia 20 Alabama. 17 that all the conferences you want to go through, you want me to do the Mountain West. All right, well, we'll be back on Monday night for our Monday night special. We've already. Actually, we're going to have to edit one of those interviews Liam because are lucky because we did talk about one of the teams winning this weekend and didn't, but we'll talk about that later.
