And he has a horrible season gets a half a billion dollars, and he says, they didn't pay me for what to do this year. They're paying me for what I did before. What a shitty attitude. What a horrible attitude to act like that. And it was my favorite World Series I ever watch. Anyways, we'll talk about that. And then we got some sports stuff we'll talk about. We got the midterms. There are so many stories about midterms. I don't even know which ones to put. So we got a category that just says midterm warning signs. And by the way, the warning signs are all for Republicans. Watch this. Number one, 17 Republicans and close races break with Trump on the round war. That's a problem. Let's see what happens there. Midterm candidates are dumping debates, 21 out of 36, gubernatorial races may not have a debate. The new thing to do is let's not debate, right? In the society of freedom of speech, let's not debate. Let's not sit there and debate issues. I don't want to talk to the other person. Let me get to straight. If you don't want to sit and talk to other people to get deals done, how the hell are you going to be a person that's getting deals on when you become a governor? How do you make me to reassurance to know you're going to be able to do that? I don't know about some of the things they're doing right now with these governors, even if it's Republican or Democrat, I'll publicly call them out. I think it's a horrible, too cool attitude of already got it. It's done. We're going to win. And then when you lose, then what's going to happen? Anyways, I'm not happy about that. But we'll talk about it. Democrats hit with a plus nine and polling average. Biggest lead of the cycle will show you some of the stuff for Kowshi. You got to see what people are saying with Kowshi. And it's, it's not looking good. Florida Republicans are bracing for the worst results they've had since 2018 vibes return, worse since 2018 will address that. Apparently there was a lot of things talked about. One of the things that was talked about, which is kind of apparently a big deal is G offered to give two pandas to us. Okay. And I'm being one is a male, one is a female. They're both both born in 2020. One is called pink pink. The other one's called fushuang. Like, and I'm not even kidding with these are the names. And apparently some people believe that pandas are not even real animals because all they want to do is eat all they're not mate. They don't make the reason why they're going extinct is because pandas don't mate. And so some are saying maybe China created this 150 years ago as a way to spy on others. Anyways, they gave us two pandas, which is I guess a big celebration. It's China's way of saying time. We want to do a deal with you. That's their way of doing it. Okay. And they give you a couple pandas. But apparently there was a bunch of other things that, you know, hey, they're welcome and a hundred thousand soldiers. You know, a bunch of other things that we'll get into. Trump as G. Do you need some military weapons? Do you need help with anything? So we'll see. We'll see what's going to happen there and the story. Elon comes out and shows the semi truck and the truck in industry is like, wait, are you kidding me? So they're trucks that the semi is that we've been waiting for nine years. It's finally here. It validates that even the smartest guy in the world, everything you try to do in life is harder. It's 10 times harder than you think and it takes a lot longer than you think it does. But the semi trucks look ridiculous. They look great. And if they're able to do what they can do, there, there may be disruption in the transportation industry, which we have a lot of friends that are in that business. Then this weekend football, you got this USC player tackles Oregon's quarterback, knocks him unconscious. The guy has to get a stretcher come out and he's celebrating. The teammates are saying, what are you doing? And a player from Texas sacks the quarterback goes and peace on him. Yeah, crazy teammates are like, what the hell are you doing? Okay. And in the meantime, Joe Barrow loses the ball. They should have won the game. Dallas Cowboys. Good for Baltimore Ravens. What a victory. They had an Josh Allen gets another run, another rushing touchdown and Trevor Lawrence decides to stop on a one-yard line. Nobody has a clue. Why? And there's a lot of them to go through here. So they have a meeting together. The first thing that a lot of people are talking about because of China trying to show that we want to do business with you. China hands off two panda bears, two U.S. and one of them is called pink pink. And like I talked about earlier with these, what do you call it, these pandas. This is their way of saying we want to do business. They lend it to you. The problem with pandas is apparently they don't mate. All they want to do is eat and they value eating over mating, which I have met some people like that, but not too many. So these guys don't want to make babies, which is a problem. However, deals were done. So the president asks, hey, you know, exactly. They call the panda diplomacy. Some people don't think these pandas are not real. And they kind of created it too, you know, because you know, this whole extinct stuff that we talk about, we'll see. But they said, hey, we want to invite a hundred thousand of our, your soldiers, U.S. to come to us. Trump asks, do you need any arms? Do you need any weapons that we need to help you out with? It's a back and forth. And some of the stories that came out, Tom, I don't know how close you're following this. U.S. China reached a $30 billion tariff deal after Trump's G summit, both of them are saying, hey, let's take this off right now, let's you take it off right now. Let's kind of make sure we're not tariffing each other left and right. U.S. says China to buy 10 million tons of coal in 27 and 28. Trump says she knows how I feel about Taiwan. Taiwan was also also addressed in the conversation. So let's pick one of them and start with the Taiwan topic. Trump says she knows how I feel on Taiwan after the summit. And Tom, I'm going to come to you with this one here. And I think we have a clip on this in the back. Trump said on Saturday that the issue of Taiwan came up in meetings with Xi. As he refrained from repeating Washington's decade old stance on the self-greven island, we didn't talk about it too much. Right now it's fine. It's just moving along. He told reporters before departing the White House for college team game. We didn't spend a lot of time about Taiwan. He understands how I feel about it. The comments came after Chinese read out said, Xi urged the U.S. to oppose Taiwan's independence. Trump didn't restate the U.S. opposition, but gave no indication he was willing to meet with Xi's demand to change it. The U.S. officially does not support Taiwanese independence and opposes unilateral changes to the status quo by either side since coming to power in 2012. Well, first of all, I thought it was very, very interesting as we were talking about energy. So Taiwan is always going to be Taiwan. And basically, what Xi is saying, you know, ultimately we're going to do this. That's what Xi is saying. And Trump is saying, well, it's moving along. And so this sounds a little bit like Biden in Ukraine where he said, well, remember this-- Oh, yeah. If it's just a border-- Mine aren't Persian at the border. Yeah. So suddenly, Trump is not coming out and saying hard no on Taiwan. He's just saying, Xi knows how I feel about Taiwan. And we didn't spend a lot of time talking about it. But Xi keeps saying, we're going to do this. You know, we want this, and we're going to do this. And then they turn around and they make an energy deal. I think that's very significant because that's the thing China needs, energy. And if the US builds diplomacy with China and takes a laskin oil and then sends it to China, that's exactly the kind of thing they need. They need that. So I think that in some ways, this took a couple steps in some ways. It was just the same old, same old. But then at the end of it, they said, hey, we're going to get back together live in November. And we're going to talk about AI. And so I thought all of this-- I thought it was-- here's my headline. It's good when they're talking. I think it's good when they're talking. And I think Xi probably didn't get what he wants, which maybe is another inch or two on Taiwan. But Trump made his point, and then they bought a bunch of energy. In the meantime, while you're talking about this, and Trump is saying our position hasn't changed. And China is saying their position hasn't changed. Arming Taiwan is an important US interest. Taipei official says, after Trump's Xi summit, providing weapons to Taiwan to protect its freedom and supply some of the conductors to the world, is in the US national interest. A senior Taiwan has diplomats at Saturday after the three-day Trump's Xi summit ended with no big public breakouts, deputy foreign minister Francois Wu. As with the concessions on Taiwan would actually serve US interest, maintaining military sales. And allowing Taiwan's semiconductor industry to continue contributing to the world, these are important US interests. Wang Juan-Jian, very common name of political science, professor at national, Chen Kun University, said the outcome beats expectations. Looking at the results, many things we thought would be very bad. Didn't happen. The Trump administration approved $11 billion or arms sale in December 10 months ago. Second word, $14 billion is pending. The US ambassador to China, David Perdue, said there has been no change in Taiwan policy, China's policy, people daily call Taiwan the first unbreakable red line, Adam Thoughts. Look, here's the deal with China. I mean, we've criticized China enough. I'm actually gonna give some, I guess, rosy picture on China. I don't think there are enemy per se. Certainly there are competitor, no doubt. But, you know, you hear this term decoupling. We got a decoupling with China. We're gonna decouple. We are so closely intertwined that there's no decoupling. And I'll give you a specific example. The last time that there was a competitor of the United States on this level was who, the Soviet Union, USSR, which crumbled in '91, I believe. We had nothing going on, trade wise, alliance wise, business wise, anything going on with the USSR. So it was the Cold War at its height. I'm sure you remember sort of the remnants of that, Tom, obviously. But there was no reason to work on a deal. There was nothing really to discuss. You know, they had the famous red hotline phone. God forbid, there was gonna be something nuclear. But they're Nixon, this all got established. There you go. But there was no reason to work out a framework of a deal because there was no interaction. There was no intertwining of the economies. At this point, I think it's pretty evident with China. As much as you might think that their enemies or competitors or economies are so intertwined, how many times have you looked at an item and been like made in China, almost everything? At this point, like Tom said, it's so much better to discuss and come to terms on where we can agree on things such as trade, AI, minerals. There's certainly things there's gonna be differences on. I eat Taiwan. But at the end of the day, I don't see any decoupling. If anything, they're just kicking the can down the road on this trade situation. I disagree in the fact that China isn't the enemy 'cause the word that they use is adversary. If you look at everything that they've done at 'em, from the spying, from the buying bases, which I agree, it's stupid because the Biden administration let them. Flank spy balloons, COVID-19. They released it and they still don't have any accountability for it, okay? So, Maju, just because we're not shooting and bombing and whatever, they are our enemy. But the fact that Trump is a freaking statesman and what did Bill Marseille, the F-around and find out president from all the stuff that they did with the deep state atom, which I believe. This is my opinion from 2019 to 2020 to COVID. To me, it was all Trump was kicking butt. He was holding their foot to the fire against trade. And then all of a sudden, a virus comes out of a lab that we own, Fauci, that's a whole, we really know how that story goes. But I think Trump is such a freaking boss. He invites them, he shows them around. He's being professional, but at the same time, he's going, hey, listen, with Taiwan, don't even try it. Oh, and you guys are going to promise us to buy how much coal-tom, $10 billion, what's the number? - $30 billion worth of. - $30 billion worth of coal. So say what you want. - This year, and again. - And again, in 2028. I just think that they are the enemy, but they're not the shooting guns in your face enemy, but trust me, they would want nothing more than for us to suffer. - So, let me push back on that just a little bit. I agree with everything you said. It's not like I'm thinking that China's our best friend, we're the best friend. - Yeah, they say best friend. My whole situation is, we are working together on certain things that there's no decoupling from. So we acknowledge COVID, we acknowledge these issues. We know about COVID. I'm just saying, we know what this situation is. My whole thing is, where do we go from here? Are we actually going to get into a hot war with China? I don't know. Are we really going to do something like that? It's easy to say enemy, I get that. That's an easy thing to do. But where are we going to work together? Is the question. This chart that, I don't know if the audience can see it, this chart has not moved more than five points in the last six years. This is why there's a red line on Taiwan. Look at all the chips. Taiwan has got the global, massive market share in terms of a location. You can't let China take this. So, I think Trump's trying to let the edges form, but this is why the EU doesn't want Taiwan to go back, but they don't want to be the ones that speak up. Everyone doesn't want it, because you look at this. Until these chips can be made elsewhere, you're going to give China lording over this and putting spyware and things in the chips, it will happen. This is why Taiwan must stay independent. Those pandas probably have spy chips. They sit around and eat all the pandas or chips. Wasn't China supposed to surpass United States economy and GDP in 2025? Called Mate in China 2025. Where is that now? Is it even close to the economies at this point? Well, if you're if you're if you're if you live in China you would say we hit it. If you live in China, if you live in China you have to you have to realize the only media we listen to is our own media. You don't wake up in the morning and go watch in China what they're saying. They have state run media. That's the point. So to them they're saying that they hit it and if you go and and you know talk to others who are neutral players. If you talk to neutral players neutral players will say you know you know they'll they'll look at us and they'll say we have to still give that attention to China because they're going to be around there's somebody we have to play with. It's not like they're not going to be there. They're not they're not crossing off the idea of China being the dominant player in the world. The reason why it's right now being held off the way that it is is because the guy that's negotiating the deals is not playing around. So yeah, Trump. So if if this if this hangs on for another two more years and if AOC or Newsom becomes president, how quickly do you think they're going to hit Taiwan? What do you think's going to happen? You think they're going to sit on it? So they they have to sit there and realize this isn't she is telling you I may not do it under your watch. But we're eventually doing it. So she out of all the people he's sitting there saying this freaking guy Trump. I can't wait for him to get out and they're he's proud. How old is she by the way? And they're saying he has some help. He looks he doesn't look that. Yeah, maybe 72 73 72 73. Okay. So how much longer does he have? He doesn't have that much long. Let's say he goes seven more years. Okay, let's say go seven more years. I think it's even longer than that. What what I'm saying is he is probably sitting there. If there's anything he's pissed off with himself. It might my speculation. I think she is sitting there pissed off with the fact that he did not attack Taiwan under Biden. That was his best flipping opportunity. You know why? And here's how he's probably thinking he should have done it. The moment Putin attacked Ukraine. Guess what G is thinking? I should have attacked Taiwan a month later. You know why? It's so much distract. Tom is doing some stuff today. I've never seen before. He's like. He is. No, he's talking to the sign language people. So he that's the sign for if he if they would have hit. So just think about it. Go to to the month that Putin hits Ukraine. That would have been in 2022. Perfect. A month later. He should hit it. A month later. He should hit it. It would have been so confusing for everybody. What is it? You and especially it would have been so confusing for you and it would have been so confusing on how to for Biden to handle it. It would have been so what pin do you wear? Do you wear the Ukraine pin? I want to say those people that were trying to play these moralists or whatever. What I think you know is sitting there behind closed or saying that day there is nobody in the world. There is no one in the world that wants. There's no one in the world that wants a democratic president more than G today. I agree. Nobody. And guess who else they don't want? Guess who G does a want on the Republican side? He wants a democratic president or second AJD events. I agree. That's what he wants. And you know what it's so I agree. And you know what he wants a non interventionist president. And he wants a democratic president. You know, I agree 100% look at the look at the difference from Trump Republican to what the Democrats if if like I get it because you have to come to the White House. You have to lay out the red carpet. So to speak, but look at during Biden when he went to freaking San Francisco, they literally got took all the homeless people and they said you guys need to go and hide for a week in Sacramento in buses. They bust them out of the city. Yeah, and they hitchhiked back over two weeks. Yep. And look at all the connections that we found out with Hunter and Joe Biden. They could have done whatever they wanted under Biden. I think that's a freaking great observation. He missed his mark. He missed his opportunity. He should have done it. I'm not saying I wanted him to do it, but but I think that's the part. I think he's regretting it and I think it's going to come. And he wants number one and AOC, number two, a new, some number three Jay the events. He does now want a Marco Rubio. That's not what he wants. And he can't wait for Trump to be gone. He's doing all this stuff for diplomacy reasons. But he what okay, so here becomes a question Tom. What are the chances China attacks Taiwan while Trump's president is very low. One percent. They play the long game. I'm going at maybe five percent and they only do it like if word things keep happening and around and there's a confusion moment where they can step in. Yeah, so I think I think here's here. So here's the question. So I'm like this. Here's my question for you. You ready? You ready? Okay. So be in the room. Be in a negotiation room. Hey, Trump. What if we do this in their own way? I'm not going to try to do their accent in their own ways. Let's give it a shot. Because it's a serious thing. I don't want to make this funny. Go ahead. So no, no, hear me out. So what if they say this? What is the likelihood that you think G's camp has made this offer? Hey, President Trump wink wink in their own way. We will step out of the way and no longer buy anything from Iran and let them suffer. If you allow us to go and attack Taiwan and do our part, we will be a hundred percent ally to you. If you allow us to do what we want to do with Taiwan, we will let Iran be destroyed. We'll even support in the regime change. What do you think is the likelihood that someone on their team has relayed that message to someone on Trump's team? I don't think that message is quite like that, but I think it's probably I'll go a 75% chance that something in that vicinity has been said. Why wouldn't they? They're not going to give up on Iran. Do you know what I'm saying? I don't think they're going to give up on Iran. When you look at Belt and Road and you look at the geography going to Europe, I don't think they're going to give up a customer or a vendor like Iran. But do I think they would kind of move the chess board a little bit for that? Yes, absolutely. What do you think they value more? Controlling Taiwan and being the dominant player in chips or do you think them having control of Iran with the state of Hormuz and all the oil that's moving through there, all the inventory that's moving through there. Well, I think they value this is Belt and Road and take a look at the Silk Road that goes from Samakaland. Take a look. And you're okay? Dushanabe? Tom? I don't know. Don't even try that. What is Samarkand? You know what? Keep going, Tom. No, you take a look. What are you saying, Tom? You're saying what? You're saying there's no chance this has happened. No, I'm saying I think there's been a conversation along those lines between zero to a hundred. How important is them getting Taiwan? They were scored to them. Very important. I think it's 99 to be honest with you. And if you want something that's the 99 type of a level. Somebody's talking to somebody. And so guess what Trump is sitting there? If I'm Trump, guess what I'm thinking? One, there's no way we learn during COVID the hard hard hard way how much control China has and how we will be in trouble if the next COVID happens and even takes place. So what are the likely that Trump's going to give that up, Tom? The chips. Zero. Okay. So if that's zero. And what's the likelihood that China would be willing to stay out of Iran for them to have control of Taiwan? I don't think so. I don't think they give up both because of this. That is their path to Europe. For China specifically. Yeah. They think long about this that the path that goes from Uzbekistan to Istanbul. They think about that. So so so then the question becomes take that out and look, they're still half isolated. If if you if they had a choice between IRGC staying running Iran or a regime change taking place with more honest players like a Saudi, not necessarily like angels, but an honest player that just is about business and money. Who do you think they'd rather take China? I think they'd rather they'd rather work with IRGC which is against the West. I'm a hundred percent. Then then this is then this is then this is why you know the the idea of them wanting Trump out should be the number on priority. Get this obnoxiously strong negotiating guy that comes and think and he runs the world out of the way and give me a new sum. Give me an AOC. Give me a press conference. Give me a Shapiro. Give me a awesome. Give me a give me anybody but the sky. Give me a non interventionist president so I can go out there and complete my mission and get this before another Republican shows back up and they're playing behind closed doors. You know what China would be doing behind closed doors. If China is playing the dirty game, he would they would spend a hundred million dollar campaign with bots and stories making sure they scared a crap out of Rubio for not Rubio not to run that propaganda to make Rubio believe that he cannot win in 2028 is the number one priority. Rubio cannot run for office in 2028. If Rubio doesn't run for office for 2028, it's the most important thing for China if Rubio doesn't win. I agree with that. I agree with that because they know how a hawkish he is and how tough he is. Rubio is not going to play the game with and Rubio is not going to sit there and be like, no, let's just mind our own business and let's just focus on America and let's not worry about what's going on around the world and then around the world they're going buying the chips and you're just like running your own community and they're getting more power around you and more power around you and more power around you. Hey, how did this non-intervention and strategy work? They're not all your neighbors. What are you going to do now? Well, you know, it's not that you let's just focus on our problems and then you lose market share. That's what's been happening. And real quick, this is why I said that there's no decoupling from China and our conversations need to keep going on because there's a checklist of things that are high priority. Obviously Taiwan is important to them and you know the two words that Trump and the administration says to China whenever Taiwan comes up, status quo, they don't even get into it. They're like, our position is the status quo. They don't even address. I'm going to go to the next story. Next. You saw when President Trump was leaving the White House this morning, the Iranians say they'll open the straits within seven days. Larry, the straits are open. If you take out the Iranian oil, which we're not letting out, we're not letting it out, that we're averaging now 15 to 22 million barrels a day. It was at about 20 pre-conflicts, so you take out the one and a half or two Iranian barrels. So think of it this way, where the score is United States one billion, one more than one billion barrels have gotten out around zero. So now he's saying this of what's going to be happening. Meanwhile, while they're having a conversation with Abbas Agraqi, if you have that clip as well, they're asking about what's going on there with your. Is this the one about their Supreme Leader, or are you going to the one that they're ready for doomsday? Do you have both of them? And some people are saying it's still closed. It's still closed. And you're wondering where are we being gaslit by Reuters and where are we being gaslit by political statements versus where it's really getting through. And I think you have to look at at the price of oil. And I wish we had an audit point for the deliveries, right? If you had an audit point on deliveries to refineries, then we would have it. But Besson has not been a guy that's been out there attempted to gaslight on some wild theory that doesn't happen. There are proxies out there doing that on both sides. But Scott Besson wasn't one of them. And I believe him. I believe two weeks from now, if nothing changes, there's going to be issues. Now, how can Iran change that? Do you think Democrat, do you think Iranians are reading this, see in what the shows and they're sitting there saying, oh, beautiful, give me more. Democrats have opened the largest generic ballot lead of the midterm cycle, 52 to 43%, a nine point advantage in the NBC news poll, average that puts the party in territory where the house is not competitive, but as soon as Senate map starts tilting. Can you show the calcium numbers, by the way, on what it's shown right now as of the latest Democrats against the Republicans on the midterms. Look at this here, Democrats, look at the spike just in the last week and a half, two weeks. Do you see that where it's at 60%. They need 14 people to cross the line to get 67 to override a presidential veto. This is what Rubio was talking about. Rubio saying, I don't think you understand. There's certain things that are under the control of the president. He was being very matter of fact. I was in the legislature for a while. There are things and there are tools that are at his disposal. That's what it is. They may be sitting there waiting for the midterms, but it's a PR hit on Trump more than anything else. In reality, he's going to veto things and he's going to say, you've got 67 senators. You've got 53 of the election. Find 14 people that are willing to cross that line override my veto at 67. That won't happen. You can go up and down and look for all the MTGs, look alike so you could possibly find. There are not 14 in there. How many masses are left after midterms? Very few. Very few. What, you know what, big percentage of the population just votes off the freaking gas prices? That's going to be one problem. So you already have that problem. Rent is up. Prices are up. Interest rates are at 7.5%. The average person can't even buy a house. I went to a place to eat the other day. The same guy that's telling me that I said, can I get sparkling water? I'm at that place every freaking time. We don't have sparkling water. What do you mean you don't have sparkling water? We don't have it because corporate didn't give us budget. What? Consumer about 1.7 kilowatt per mile and recover roughly 60% of its range in 30 minutes of the charge that they have. So large fleet operators are the ones that are mainly excited about that. You've got Walmart, DHL, you've got PepsiCo, some of these guys, a shipper coalition recently, selected Tesla as the primary supplier for an order of. Are you ready? They ordered 2,500 electric class eight trucks. 2,500. They ordered. One, DHL's reaction, especially meaningful, because they actually tested it. So they're the ones that are super excited about a fleet CFOs. When diesel is expensive, they're sending their send. Are you kidding me? I'm paying, AXIO's reported Tesla's comparison shown, diesel fuel costing roughly $0.80 a mile recently versus a $0.20 to $0.30 mile for electricity. So those guys, the CFOs are excited. Drivers who have actually driven it, they sit there and say, you mean to tell me I can take a nap and relax and watch a movie and this guy's self-driving? Yes. Now who's worried is the question? Tom, I'm going to come to you with this one. Truck stop operators. That's scary. Truck stop operators in charging infrastructure companies. Think about where you're going to go. That's a business right there, right? So they're worried about what's going to happen with them small trucking companies. The big guys can build depot charging. Pepsi can say we'll install charges at our distribution center. Small trucking companies cannot do that. They don't have those types of resources. And long call operators, 500 miles sounds enormous until you compare it with diesel. A diesel-class A truck can often travel well beyond 1,000 mile between fills. So 500 miles is not as long as you think it is compared to others. Now, of course, the rest thing, like instead of resting and I'm able to take a nap, you can make up some of the time there. So those are some of the things. So it's exciting. I love the fact that he's saying he's going to do this and he delivered on it. Of course, everything big you're trying to do in your life is going to be 10 times harder than you think and it takes 10 times longer than you think it was going to take. Time your thoughts on this. Well, I think that this is disruption. And it's also opportunity. If you're in the trucking industry, and this is going to be your truck, and you're like, look, I've got a partner with people. The smaller truckers, you're going to have to partner with the bigger ones. And it's going to lead to some mergers consolidation, some people say that'll affect price per goods. But this is coming in exactly the wrong time for the trucking industry, because the trucking industry is suffering through the cost of diesel. You and I, I won't say his name, because I'm going to say two businesses here. I'm going to call them A and B, because it's in Chicago, and I don't want to expose anybody. But there is a trucking company that was working with one of our friends who's in factoring. And what factoring is, think of this way, Vinnie. You tell buying future payments. Right. Well, but it goes like this. You told Adam that you're going to deliver him five tons of corn every week all summer long. Love's going. And all of a sudden, and you have a little bit of a buffer so you could pay your truck drivers, and you could buy diesel fuel, and pick up the corn, you take it to Adam, and then he pays you. Well, all of a sudden, the cost is going up, and you don't have a 20% profit anymore. You only have a 5% profit. So you give me, the factoring guy says, listen, can you give me an advance on what Adam's going to pay me when I deliver the corn? Well, why don't you just have Adam pay you? I can't. I need to pay for the diesel, and it's expensive. Get it to Adam. So I can get it to Adam. And he doesn't pay until I deliver the corn, and he inspects it, that it's all high quality. So you have factoring. And right now, there is a factoring company in Chicago that said one of their customers, Pat, one of their customers lost two million of the two and a half million of EBITDA they have this year on fuel cost. Last year, two and a half million of EBITDA, this year, half a million. Oh my god. And they are scared to death. So they're going to have to park the trucks and not even put them to work. Well, and by the way, if they park the trucks, they better hide them because the bank's going to come get them. Because they've got to pay for those trucks. They've got leases on those trucks. They've got payments on those trucks. And in California today, in California, with the, I think it's $2.07 tax, we're seeing 801 for diesel in California was legitimately over the weekend. There was 801 diesel, not just at one location or as multiple locations, that it breached to eight. Now, I think it's back to 765 this morning, but still, oh, back to 765, oh dear god. And you know, that's still $2 above 550. And at 550, we announced that we had economic stress. 550 diesel creates economic stress. And so I think this is coming at exactly the right time, you know, for Elon and bringing it out. It's bringing it at the right time. But yeah, look at this. $6 or $10 or 66%. Yeah, so by the way, a user said on a super chat, nobody wants to use their voter for this junk that's lands duly gas and diesel is the best. Well, lands respectfully. You could say that, but the market talks. So if the market places orders of thousands of these EVs, they're telling you they want it. Now, if it works or doesn't work, we're also going to find that out 6, 12, 24 months later. But the reality of it is, he said he was going to do it. And if you're going to make that investment into this, of knowing this is eventually going to be here, you better believe it's because there's a market for it. And this is coming from the same guy that absolutely went off on work from home about six months ago. Remember this? Somebody recorded it. He says, you're sitting there. You're not as effective. You're not doing this. And you're not paying attention. And you're on your phones. And he's there. And what he's talking about here is basically human leadership. And I love the point here, burying the point under jargon and then wonder why nobody executes. He says, I push this right now. I push this at our company right now at times. Not all the time. Fortunately, we got some great people here. But it's like communication is not a soft skill. It is the skill. When would what will you do? And when will you do it? And next week, did you do that? That accountability loop, nobody seems to like. And people don't. And there is a, there's another story in here as well, Pat, if we could go to it about what businesses expect of young people. Let's look at those four things. And then I've got something up there. I know you know what I'm holding. Go for it. So the four things that they're talking about that they people want in college graduates and the people is like, good businesses that are hiring, what they're asking for. And they say, look, we think you need to have four simple skills. Sound judgment. Resilience. In other words, if your judgment is wrong, come back and keep trying. Communication. Oh, there's what Jamie Diamond's talking about. And collaboration. No lone rangers. Work as a team. And when you take a look at the things here, we have, and I highlighted them here, this is our culture book. And one of them was recover from setbacks. Go ahead Tom. Yep, this is our culture book. And we look for seven qualities among our best associates. Research, hunger, desire, competitiveness, hitting deadlines, an obsession with personal development, curiosity. And we don't want you to be a lone ranger. And we want you to be part of the one club. Do what you say. And take a look at this and what Jamie Diamond saying. Guess what? In an age of AI, humans that can communicate well, lead well, lead with clarity, get the job done, and work with the team to lead them to get the job done are valuable. Pat, I'm so shocked. Yeah, no, this is, this is a very simple breakdown that when you see some like this, again, the words, visible, decisive, and willing to be disliked for a decision they believe in. Last Friday, before we finish the day and we go to a photo shoot with the family, we had the seven CEO of Disney come here, Bob Chapec. And he did the first podcast. It was a two and a half, three hour podcast for his recent book that's coming out. The interview goes live tomorrow. Let me tell you, this conversation we had of what happened with them, I'll let you watch it. But based on what was talked about, there were moments that Bob Eiger knew Bob Chapec was gonna be fired when it became the CEO of Disney that he set him up for COVID. And he talks about Bob Eiger style of leadership and versus, you know, how other people are at. So these types of stories that this book is coming out on September 29th, the interview, we dropped it tomorrow on the 29th, whether you're an executive, whether you're a businessman, whether you're a fan of Disney, whether you want to know what happened in there. I asked him the question about LGBTQ and we showed a chart of how many LGBTQ members they've had in movies and cartoons and how to stock it. I showed the chart right in front of him. Our team did a great job putting that together and he had to give an answer to it. And we spent quite a lot of time on that topic alone, but with leadership, it's very simple. This is why Jamie Diamond is respected the way that he is. Visible decisive and willing to be this like for a decision they believe in. It's not an easy thing to do. By the way, a part of that could be who? A part of that could be Trump. He's visible, nobody in the head, the other day's like, well, you know, you are in a Sarah Huckabee comes on and says, what are you talking about? Your previous president wouldn't even come to these press conferences. He's the most available president to the press. There's ever been, he's visible, he's decisive. And he's willing to be this like for a decision they believe in. It's not an easy place to be. But I like what Jamie Diamond says about this when it comes down to leadership. This one's a bit of a different direction I've gone but I think it's important for us to be talking about. So USC is playing Oregon. And an incident happened in Texas as well. This is college football. And although it's sports, it's more than football we're talking, more than sports we're talking about here. His own teammates, one of them is celebrating with him. Number six is saying great job. But one other opponent is coming up and say, stop celebrating, put your hand down. Look at this other guy, the mature guy. Right there, put your hand down, stop it. You can tell he is trying to get him off and stop celebrating. And eight continues to celebrate. Late hit, the kind of hit that gets kids injured. They're out, they get hit in a big way. And look at them working on them. The hands come up. That's called the fencing position. Watch this. And that means that the brain cuts off for a second. This is the most dangerous type of hit because the elbow went in the jaw and then the head hits. This is horrible. I can't kill you. Of course he can. Boom. Of course it can. Now, the good news Tom is I think he's doing okay. Yeah, I think the reports came back that he's doing okay. And so a lot of people were going out there and you know, saying USC's program, you ought to be ashamed of yourself. How much of this is on the program? How much of this is on the player? Because a similar type of an incident happened with Texas. And you know, Texas, this is a very well established, respectful organization that they have. That happens here with a player who sacks the quarterback and look what he does. And the players are like, what are you doing? He's pretending to pee on him too. What do I do, man? Are you serious? His own teammates, like, what is wrong with you? 15 yards. Look what he says. Of course. Simulating. Simulating. He's in the restaurant. What do I do, man? So the court of the coach of Oregon is being interviewed. I send you guys that clip as well if you have it. And he's saying, hey, if you want to go to a Chris Brown contest, concert, go to that team. If you want to win, come over here to us. Do you have that one that I sent? Go to the next slide. Yeah, just go and then play this clip. Watch this. I guess if you're interested in winning football games in your from this area, you should go to Oregon. If you want to go to a Chris Brown concert, you go here. Three wins if you want to go to Chris Brown concert. And they talk about what happened afterwards. How much of this you put on the player? How much of this you put on the team? How much of this you put on the coach time? So I put this, this type of behavior. This type of behavior, and put 50% on the coach. And I'll tell you why. When you're coaching these folks, they need to fear compliance. There are starters. They're in the game. And they need to fear consequence. I don't mean fear hazing, like so many college fraternities and just the ridiculousness of hazing. But they need to be have great respect for that coach. And that the coach would never accept this. Do you think anyone in the history of Belicec would do something like that? No. Hel-- no. You'd get cut. Because the team's more important than you. Do you think anybody would have done this under Bear Bryant? No way. Under paternal? No way. So I put it 50% on the coach. And then I put it 50% on the player. And I think the-- The team that encouraged it, you already saw that there were members of both teams that were coming over. What are you doing? But there was also members of both team that were like the high five and quiet. What does that tell you? If the whole team comes out on it, goes, "What are you doing?" Guess what? Then it's the player, 100%. But that's not what happened. You saw other people that were still in there. And the other side of it is, this is very competitive now. NIL has brought money into it. This is very competitive. In your place, keep your place, and a lot of these guys want to play on Sunday and so they show this kind of grit and determination on Saturday. And then you have a guy that's going to say, "Well, we're not going to drive this kid." So I think I put half of it on the coach. There's one person that we're not even talking about that. I put a lot of it on. That's parents. Parents, to me, like, your kid behaves like this, somebody made it okay for them to do it. And I'm not even talking about the USC one. I'm talking more about the Texans one. What do you mean, your behavior like that? You think that's the first time they did that? You think after the sack, you just decided to do that or you think he practiced that. You think he played it before the game. You think other people knew he was going to do it. Now, if nobody else knew, the Texans team gave me the vibes that the other players didn't know he was going to do that. Like, what do you do? I agree. Kind of behaviors this. But to do something like that, dude, it's like that is just, that is horrible theatrics. Adam, you were part of Florida State, you know, football and you played sports. What do you think about when you see something like this? Yeah, I mean, the biggest challenge right now is Tom Hittit, the NIL players have more power than ever. So look, I'm a big Miami Hurricanes fan. I played football in North Carolina, transferred to Florida State, you know, did the whole walk on thing. But the reality is, these players have more power than ever. And if they don't like what's going on there, they can transfer another team, go to a transfer portal, go get that money, and go elsewhere. So to me, these two situations, the Oregon thing, by the way, Oregon beat USC, the USC thing, a lot of times these, these, these plays are so bang bang, you're running at a guy, you're running at a guy, you really can't kind of control yourself. So I don't know if the guy did that intentionally, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. The guy from Texas, you do a sack, you get up, you don't randomly come up with that in the spur of the moment. You think before the game, if I get a sack, I'm going to do my little urine. That's the nation dance and whip it out. And then boom. I've never seen. I've never seen like, to me, it's so dumb, and it's so stupid. And now the referee doesn't have to say on sportsman like Condo, he has to say, uh, you're like, you're relating, you're relating, like, what are you doing? Many, what do you think? And listen, last thing, my my hurricanes, I grew up in the 80s, 90s when my my hurricanes were doing the dance, doing their thing, Michael Irvin, Warren Sap, Ray Lewis, respect on that. They were never urinating on people. They might have ripped your head off. But to me, Texas, you got archbading out there, it's do a little bit more attractive. And I love that you said that. That's a combination of parenting, some of the coach, but it's on this person. And I think it's just like, for instance, I'm, I'm a little bit on the opposite of them. And in these little, by the way, and they don't understand this, those little decisions that you're doing on this field and that heat of the moment, your stock, cause you're the dream is what? If you're playing college football, it's the NFL. If you don't think everybody in the NFL is watching that pat and one day when you try to go into the draft or the combine and they go, Hey, wait, is that you? Are you the guy that almost killed somebody because we're all about safety in NFL now? And you celebrate it. Oh, you're the guy that you're related and you think that that's cool. I'm telling you right now, your stock dropped substantially and good for them. Good for them. One is on your field and one is behavioral. By the way, did you see that UFC fight with the Mexican kid, the great fighter, the, yeah, he keeps Roses laps and he goes, oh, Roses, he was fighting, um, he got struck a Brazilian guy. Yeah. And in the heat of the moment, the guy just completely like lights out. I don't know. Yeah, he was out. He was out. It's just when you're in the, when you're in the octagon, you're on the field that you never know what's going to happen. Um, at the after the plate thing with Texas, to me, there's a level of, I think, uh, of discussing it. I think it's an excellent place. It's not acceptable. I got a few other things I want to get into. I think it's unacceptable behavior. I think parents need to be involved and they need to put certain level of fear of you don't behave like this guy. You're representing the team, you're representing the family, you're representing the country. You're certain. You have certain things you're representing. You don't behave like that. Pat, not to get, um, to like into the weeds on this, you know, the, the lack of a father and a parent and a household. Yeah, no, that could be a fact that you're right. If you go from our place to the arena that they played the other day, I want to in our Miami game, we were hanging out with the owner of inner Miami, Jorge Masta, the sweet stadium looks ridiculous of what it looks like. And a gentleman of the sport, one of the owners, he loved the. Yeah. He was just a pure class sack and you go there and you're thinking to yourself, all right. And I want to spend time with them because from when I was four years old, all of our lives, my family's life has been dedicated to me and that success and trying to get to Formula One. And I won't point that's enough and then you have to give back and spend more time with them. And at the end of the day, that's way more important than, you know, all the success here. That's great. I mean, I love it. I love to be competitive. I love to win championships. I love to win races, but I won't point family again. Comes first because people get older and you really have to save at those moments. What a freaking perspective, right? But again, it's interesting because last night I get a call from one of our guys, you know who this is. We love him. This guy's family to us. We love him. We love her and we love their kids. And he had to fly to LA last minute yesterday because it was the last moment he was going to have with his mom. And he said, I have to be their bedside next to her. So he goes, he makes it. He makes it bedside right next to her. And it's talking, I'm talking to him last night. And I, he says, she doesn't speak back, but she's nodding that she's hearing what I'm saying. And I literally just got to text 30 minutes ago that she passed away. Oh, wow. This just happened. 30 minutes ago that she passed away. And, this is like, you know, we talk about this, how this thing goes, all of a sudden. It goes all of a sudden. And this individual that just passed away, she had the most amazing spirit, happy, positive, fun to be around. You wouldn't see an ounce of bitterness in her. She was just fun to be around. And it's gone, right? Thank God he had a chance to go and be bedside where he knows for the rest of his life, he was there when that moment happens. Some people don't have that luxury. That is a very difficult thing that happens. Of course, we want another day, another second, another moment. I was watching the interview of that one actor that he says, man, he says, you know what I miss? Just of sound of my mom. I would just give anything to just talk to one more time. I just want to hear a voice. I just wanted to say hi. It says every day I would contact my mom, every day I would just call and talk to my mom. And I don't have that anymore. So sometimes it was just a conversation, my how you doing? My how you doing? My here's what's going on. You know those people that talk to their moms every day, you're like, what a lucky community where it's like mom is like fully supporting love and your mom's an angel. You know, she's watching right now. She's listening. You went to LA to be with her and how she always had surgery on her foot and surgery and all that stuff. Yeah, well, I saw this video with Max and I'm like, you know what? Sky's arguably going to go down as on the top three greatest drivers of all time. And he's given perspective of what happens with family. Because that day is eventually coming for everybody. Yeah, where that call is made. And this is it. And we no longer can make that phone call. So if you're watching this, I don't know, man, make that phone call. You know, not everybody has the best of relationships. One of the things we're working on right now with the podcast that we're trying to bring this new show on is for fathers who haven't spoken to their son for 15, 20 years or sons who haven't spoken to their fathers for 10, 15, 20 years. We're going to have a casting call that we'll have which if one is open to the other one. And I'm going to call the father or the son to unite them and come down here and do an interview together with them because that father son relationship to me is very unique for them to have that. So anyways, you know, while you're hearing the story with Max and he says he wants to be around as dad more. There's a story that he tells one. He says when he was a kid and he was carting, go carting. One race, he's dad is chewing his ass out. And he says, my dad was so pissed off at me because I kept trying to talk to him and he didn't want to talk to me. And he eventually was so disgusted by the way I drove that he pulls over the car and tells Max to get the hell out of the car because he doesn't want to talk to him. Max says, my dad drops me off at the gas station. I have no clue what to do. This man who's my hero. I love him. He doesn't want to talk to me. He just goes home. He says, luckily, my mom was five, 10 minutes away. She came and picked me up to take me home 13 years old. 13 years old. And you know, when you see them together because the dad is a cycle competitor himself. It's just a beautiful story that even a son who had a father that drove him so hard court cannot wait to have more time with them. Isn't that a beautiful thing? And recognize and recognize and recognize and recognize and recognize him because time we have and I buddy and I love videos like that because by the way, I really like and and respect for Strappin to see him and like you see another layer of a human being which is like you have the eye and the prize but to have that that that know how of time. I was talking to somebody the day. We have one like you never had this when we were young. Nobody you didn't give a damn. Nobody cared about time. Time is flying by and I tell people all the all the time I love that you said it past. Talk to your parents. I don't even if even if it's not that you're fighting call them talk to them. I talk to my mother every single day multiple times every day. Not because I have to because I want to. I don't want to be leaving alone and I told them in the car I go Tico I don't have any photos of me. That's crazy. There's maybe there's maybe Patrick maybe and my mom can attest when I when I when I got out of the Air Force I'm sorry when I when I when I graduated there might be one photo I think she has it of me over here my mom and me Pat I'm looking at my dad and I'm emotional and my dad's just looking at the camera that's the only photo I have one photo that I'm kind of like you can see yes and she has I'm gonna have my If you're hearing this, send me the photo so I could show Patrick, one pat, and you're gonna see in my face the sadness of me looking at my father. And that's all I have is that one, and memories, okay? So when I tell people, and I've talked to him about it too, about getting close, your dad is your dad. Even if he's in the picture and you love him, but your mother carried you, she nurtured you, she brought you here. And I know some people have messed up relationships, but the mother, the connection, especially, if she's been good to you, and like Pat, and the messed up thing is, you have to think about that. You have to foresee the future, because they're not gonna be here forever, 'cause the way that the world works, you're supposed to marry your parents, not the other way around. And it's a sad thing, it's a sad thing, but recognizing it and getting close to the pat thing is one of the most important things in life. But you have to sit there and know each day, you gotta make another jewel with the people you got left, and then protect those. It's just a heavy topic to talk about, and then my heart's very heavy for this person this morning, really heavy, so. - Oh man. Well, I just wanna end maybe on a lighter note. And everyone just sits next to him and talks to him. And he tells us crazy stories that he tells you. You know, whatever he's gonna talk about, a marriage, relationship, family, all this stuff. And I was so emotional to see them because the military really messed me up because I was, I never was away from them. And this is that moment that I'm looking at. This is literally, literally the only photo and look at my mom. She was crying, I'm crying my brother who was already in, and that's the only photo that I have, look at his hand. He has a camcorder 'cause he was proud. And just yesterday, my mom was like, my mom just thinks, Pat, my mom was Vinny 'cause there was, Pat, there's no inclination of what I'm doing right now in my life. She's like, I can't imagine how proud he would have been to see exactly what you're doing right now. It would have been insane. It would have been fun. And just so you know, now, you, your brother and your sister all joined after this. My sister joined after this. And that's sweet. And your mom served. (laughs) Yeah, my mom. My mom was in the eye running, you know. Kill your mom as I love her. This is the only picture of you. That's the only picture that I have of me and my father. Next to my dad. Yeah, my mom could a test. Yeah, I don't even think there's photos of them, either they didn't take them or I don't, God knows where they are. This is the only photo that I have of my dad. And she just said, yeah. Interesting, you told me this two nights ago, I'm like, that's hard to believe, but Vinny, have you framed this picture or not? No, she hasn't. She hasn't done a photo of that picture. This picture is a picture that tells so many fricking stuff. If you ever write a book, like this has to be in the book, bro. And I'm looking for it. And it's crazy, you're looking at your dad. You're not even asking what I'm saying. This is the only person that's looking at his dad. No, Adam, that's part of the story. I don't know. You understand the dynamics here. This isn't about what are you doing? This is about a boy who is 18, 19 years old. How old are you right here? 19. 19 years old is wondering, is my dad finally proud of me? That's it. That's how I process this picture.
