Trump To Offer ALBERTA Statehood As Canada FLEES To the EU for “Protection”?!

The transcript critically examines Canada’s proposed alliance with the European Union as a strategic response to U.S. trade tensions and Donald Trump’s policies. While Canada’s leadership, particularly Mark Carney, frames this as a move toward shared values like green energy and progressive policies, the analysis reveals deep concerns about sovereignty. Critics argue that the alliance undermines Canada’s economic ties with the U.S., which remains its largest trading partner, and would impose costly regulations, higher taxes, and unmanageable immigration pressures. Alberta, responsible for 15% of Canada’s economy and rich in oil, is especially vulnerable to EU environmental rules, prompting calls for a separate, U.S.-based status as an honorary state. The proposal is seen not as a benign partnership but as a calculated shift away from U.S. influence, driven by fear of Trump and a desire for strategic autonomy. Meanwhile, the broader geopolitical context includes rising tensions over China, with rumors of Xi Jinping’s health sparking speculation about instability in China. The narrative ultimately warns that such alliances come with significant trade-offs, especially when Canada’s economic future is so deeply tied to the United States. The discussion also highlights internal contradictions in Canada’s political leadership, as well as growing skepticism toward elite-driven, ideologically driven foreign policy. The core message is that while the EU offer appears idealistic, it risks sacrificing Canadian economic resilience and national independence in favor of ideological alignment.

But Mark Ernie is quite impressed with himself, dare I say, I mean, he's like the cat's meow right now. He thinks he did a big deal with Canada, between Canada and Europe. And he thinks he's outsmarted Donald Trump, but I get news for him. It may be just what the doctor ordered. In other words, this gives us entry to go take what we want, what we need, the logical alliance potentially with Alberta, Canada. Welcome to the show, everyone, I'm Trishrikan, make sure you subscribe. Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, okay, you take Canada, we'll take Alberta, that's how this is going down. We want to bring the relationship with Canada to the highest level possible. And dear Mark, I said we must urgently reimagine our partnerships. So I would like to work with you on opening the door for Canada to being the first associate member of the European Union. Q&A applause, well, I mean, I'll tell you, this is one extraordinary proposal here, you got Ursula Wanderlein, the European queen of Brussels, if you would want for Canada to join ranks with the EU in their first ever associate membership, whatever that is. I mean, no one knows, not even her, apparently, it's just a category that the EU suddenly invented to combat one Donald Trump, perhaps to help Canada out of all of its Trump problems. It's got all kinds of problems, right? And no surprise here, the Trump hating Mark Carney is indeed quite interested. Yesterday, President Wanderlein spoke of moving beyond CETA to an alliance for the future, opening the door to Canada to become the European Union's first associate member. Canada welcomes this ambition. I'll tell you polling shows that an overwhelming majority of Canadians support much closer ties with Europe. He must have been working overtime on that deal, right? His hair's all kind of messed up and he sounds really low energy, no, these ever high energy, but anyway, Donald Trump, not so happy about any of this. He's suggesting he may consider this a hostile act. In other words, you're kind of encroaching on our territory. What happened to Monroe, Don Roe doctrine? What's along this Canada is considering joining? Oh, how shall we say the global liberal, wonky European elites or maybe it's better off to put it this way? We all get that, right? Honestly, Canada ditching the US is like Canada ditching the hot chick, right? Who knows what? Sorry. It kind of explains it all, though, right? The pictures were at the thousand words. That's Karnie looking down the wrong path. Anyway, perhaps I would just say, you know, invite Alberta, Canada, Donald Trump, with its nearly 160 barrels of oil sands, invite them to join us because this is one heck of a region. It's pumping out something like four billion barrels a day. And you know what? It doesn't want tariffs. We don't want tariffs. Let's make it an associate state of the United States of America. Hey, Europe, you get your associate, Canada, your associate country. We can have our associate state, right? Fifty-first day, I'll tell you. You know what? It could happen. It really could happen. I want to listen to the president earlier today. They do that. If I did, it's an all-assal act. I will put very serious tariffs or something like that when you're on many things. So if they do go, if Europe does that with a bad intention, there's a good intention that could. If it's a bad intention, we'll put very heavy tariffs on that. That's the one way to go ahead. Woo! Okay. In other words, you're not going to pull a fast one on him, Karnie. Thanks, try. Trump says that if this is actually something that's being done with hostile intentions, which I'm going to go on a limb and suspect it is, then Europe could actually face some very serious tariffs or even restrictions on trade. So guess what? Things just escalated, everyone. This is no longer a ceremonial European invitation. What it may have just become is a whole new level in the trade war. In other words, even a bigger trade war. Trump did condition history. I should point out. You know, he left a little room there on whether or not this arrangement was undertaken with bad intentions, which was very diplomatic of him. Perhaps he's just kind of amused, right, that they went through all this trouble to try and get around the patriarch, the Donald Trump, that would be the United States of America. Anyway, Karnie is all on board with this. He just can't wait to become part of the EU because you know they share all those similar values, right? Canada and Europe, I mean, they're going to love it. They can be all green all day long, all they want together. They can tax and tax and tax and more and send it all to Brussels or Ursula gets to to see how she's going to distribute it. The alliance for the future is a unique, positive approach that we will define together, building on our common strengths and based on our shared values. Oh, all those shared values, you know, we know you have all those shared values, right? It's a green energy, lots of politically correct stuff. You're all over those shared values, in fact, it made me think of those woke liberal values that were on display with this Ottawa lady. Not too long ago. I mean, she's going to be absolutely thrilled with this news, right? You'll with the ongoing genocide of MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+. This is abhorrent. Okay, so just think about it, guys. They can have all their LGBT, I don't know how many letters you can put in the alphabet. Why not make up a few more while you're at it? Hey, you know, we're reinventing the world. Ottawa and Brussels, I see it. This is a perfect union. You guys are going to be just perfect for each other. I mean, we're going to take open borders on steroids. I can just see it now for goodness sakes. He's going to love this. Canada and Europe should secure our strategic autonomy through deep cooperation in the full range of strategic capabilities, including critical minerals, defense industrial capacity, AI and compute, energy security, space and payments. We should move towards seamless digital trade and non-agricultural goods and a wide range of services. We should deepen our people to people ties, allowing our youth to work, study and live where they want on either side of the Atlanta. Canadian membership of Erasmus Plus would give your students and ours more opportunity to learn at some of the world's top universities, to broaden their horizon and to build those lasting ties that will sustain our alliance for the future. What I tell you, what I tell you, open borders, open borders, right? He can't wait to get started. I mean, and just think Europe's all set. They get tons and tons of land that they can just deport all their migrants to. You know, this could be a real win for Europe. Not such a good win for us, though. I'm just thinking like if all those migrants show up at our Canada border, or we're not going to like that very much, no, no, no, no, sorry, but you know what I'm going to say, we can save that one for another day. What I can tell you right now is that the timing on all of this, I guess it's not exactly a mystery, right? It shouldn't exactly be a surprise. I mean, after all, Canada's negotiations with Washington completely collapse seemingly overnight. And I say seemingly because now, when I look at it, what I've figured out is there was a whole backroom deal going on. I mean, Ursula and Karney, you had it going on the entire time because only a few weeks ago as I recall, everyone was ready to sign the deal. Donald Trump said they were ready to ink it. And then at the 11th hour, something happened, but I recall this just a few weeks ago. We had a very good conversation with the Prime Minister last night. And we've come to a deal with Canada. As you know, the 50% tariffs across the board were going on against Canada today. And they called yesterday and they gave us the points that we had to have. Very fair deal for both. The tariffs will be non-existent for our farmers. Our farmers were paying tremendous tariffs into Canada. And those tariffs are going to be totally vis-à-vis down to zero. We're doing certain things, we're going to give something, and we're doing certain things. We're paying a high number, we're reducing it a little bit. It's good for everybody. But our farmers are going to be thrilled. Our manufacturers are going to be thrilled. And basically, we have no tariffs going into Canada anymore. Canada was charging us tremendous tariffs. We no longer have any cash. So what the heck happened? Really? And Julie, what happened? I think I know what happened. I think Ursula was like, come here, come here, you know. We can do something different. We can kind of shock him. A lot of people thought it was China, I thought it was China. I think there still is something to this on China. Let's go to the CFRs, Michael Froman, who is explaining this on CNN that part of it may have been China. The Trump administration is pressing Canada as well as other countries to adopt a common approach vis-a-vis China, whether it's a common external tariff or export controls or ensuring that Chinese products inputs don't get inserted into products in Canada that will be imported into the United States. And that's a new set of trade issues, and Prime Minister Karni has noted that that goes against their sovereign rights to establish relationships with other countries. So that's going to be an issue of contention, that the administration is going to continue to have to have dialogue with Canada and with other countries over. So, the answer is you go running to Europe. Apparently, Karni's so scared of Donald Trump, he's running to Ursula, he's got to get right under her dress skirt there, and just beg her for help. Please protect me from big, bad Trump and the United States of America. I mean, this is just so ridiculous, really, and truly, I got to say, the scale of this EU proposal, though I just want to point out, in all seriousness, guys, this is a big deal. It really suggests that there was a substantial amount of preliminary diplomacy work that went into this. You don't just suddenly, boom, come out in a one day saying, hey, we're going to do a deal with the EU. I mean, Canada had to be working on this quite aggressively behind the scenes with Ursula and company. So there's a lot of work that went into this. It does not happen overnight, and it suggests to me, this is my gut that Karni deliberately sabotaged the American deal with Donald Trump deliberately. He secretly negotiated away Canada's sovereignty. Yeah, I know. If you're up in Canada right now, we love you, okay? We really, really do love you, and this is not meant to be an indictment on Canada at all. It is meant to be an indictment on one Mark Karni. So why would Mark Karni just negotiate away Canadian sovereignty? Because he hates Trump. I mean, probably that might be part of it, but also fundamentally because he believes in open borders, and for whatever reason, I'm not sure what Ursula was promising him, but for whatever reason, he thinks that his country should be subservient to Brussels. It has a little something to do with the Arctic and Greenland too, but I'm going to get to that in a moment. I just can't believe he did this. I mean, it's kind of a betrayal of Canada. I remember when Karni tried to justify walking away from the U.S. trade deal, and what did he say? Oh, because we don't want to get owned by the United States. The United States wants to own Canada, but you just sold yourself to the Europeans, okay? Last spring, I warned that America is trying to break us so they can own us. And I promise that that will never, ever happen. We are keeping that promise. Canada is becoming stronger and less dependent on America. We are already giving ourselves more than they can take away, and we are just getting started. Oh, okay, okay, well, you know, I mean, I really hate to break it to him. I told you guys this before, and again, no disrespect to our Canadian friends, but we can sort of do already own you. I mean, if you look at this chart right here, of Canadian exports, who's doing all the buying? Who's your biggest customer? Karni. Oh, I do believe that would be us, right, by like 16 times that of China. And by multiple times that of the rest of the world, take a look, United States, they export to us 400. These are in U.S. dollars, 400, and basically four billion dollars worth of goods. The UK was on there, which is not really part of the EU, so we can't count them in this. But, you know, they're on there for what, 33 billion, that was just because of gold last year. I don't think that's happening this year. And then you're going to go all the way down the list to even see France and Italy and Germany. I mean, that's not a good trade, Mr. Karni. A little leek on 101 for you, or maybe, you know, a little business or finance for you. You know, you ought to be looking at that and saying, gee, what do I lose? What are my people going to lose? Like we're kind of a big deal for you. We're kind of the whole show. We're kind of it. And then if you look over all at what the opportunities are, I mean, take a look at the U.S. economy, right, versus the European Union's economy. So we're talking us being 1.4 times the size of the Europeans. I mean, that's a big difference, 32.4 trillion versus 23 trillion. Wow, I mean, what is it, $9 trillion spread there? You're going to go at the, the small guys across the pond, we're going to have a tough time, like getting all those goods from Canada, shipped overseas as opposed to, you know, just being right here within our hemisphere. I'll tell you in 2025, 72% or so of Canadian merchandise exports, they all went to the United States. Yeah. Canada recorded an $82 billion merchandise trade surplus with the U.S. But $113 billion deficit with countries outside of the United States, interesting, right? The deficit outside the United States. But guess what? We were buying all their stuff the whole darn time. And that was part of what Donald Trump was trying to course correct on because of the tariff situation. You can't charge us tariffs. We can't charge you tariffs. Let's have an equal playing field for goodness sakes. Canada, it can expand its European trade. But replacing its American market, whoo, buddy, buddy, buddy, buddy, just look at that graph again. U.S. versus EU. And I'm sorry, Karni, but really, really, really, you'll want trade with the EU over the U.S. It's just kind of, I mean, I just didn't laugh about it. It's, it's honestly not funny because it's the people of Canada. They're going to pay the price for this. It's the people of Canada that are going to suddenly be looking at tons more regulation. Suddenly, going to be looking at higher taxes because they got to feed the animal that is Brussels for goodness sakes, right? So just so we get this straight, Karni wants to trade a relationship with his next-door neighbor for a relationship with Europe far away, which is a smaller trade partner, loads the taxes, loads of regulations. And not everyone thinks that's such a good idea, including a lot of Canada. So you get Pierre Paul Pierre, they forgive me if I mispronounce that name. It's French. Anyway, he represents the conservatives in Canada and they're like, what are you doing, Karni? He just sold your country out. That's what he's doing. Anyway, Pierre is like, yeah, this is not going to go down. So what more is Mr. Karni proposing? Because what conservatives do not support is forcing waitresses who are struggling to pay their rent? Or welders who are worried about losing their homes? To pay higher taxes to a government in Europe? Or to follow laws made by European bureaucrats that don't even know where the lower mainland of BC is? Or to have European immigration policies that will further overwhelm our housing, healthcare, and job market. We want Canada to have free trade with Europe, cooperation with Europe, but we'll never surrender our independence and sovereignty over our laws, our tax money, and our immigration policies. Wow. I mean, Karni must have been really pushed to the brink to be willing to surrender all that stuff. What is going on in that little head of his for goodness sakes? I mean, there's TDS and there's TDS because he's like self-sabotaging here. He's hurting his own people. He's hurting himself. In this country, the EU countries, I don't know, they're going to be so psyched about this either. I mean, look, they don't even like being in the EU themselves. They're paying all this tax money to Brussels. Why do you think you get the conservative right rising in Germany? By the way, big election this weekend, we'll be watching that one, right? Why is that happening? Why? Because they don't like other tax money going to Brussels, especially when they get the migration crisis that just keeps ballooning out of control. They got oodles of regulation, regulations, I mean, it's unbelievable, right? Our friend Andy Puzder, who is the ambassador to the EU. He was just on the show a month and a half or so ago and he's like the biggest problem here in Europe. What did he tell us? Regulation. They just can't stop with the regulation. So Canada's now going to have lots and lots of regulation and massive migration headaches and bigger taxes. I mean, listen to this one when I want to play this for you. This is a Greek European parliament member who got up in front of parliament today and she basically just let Ursula have it straight to her face. Take a peek. Okay. So she's saying, I don't think there's anything racist. Let me back up because I'm going to read the translation for you. There is no greater racist against Europeans than you and the evidence proves it. You flooded us with illegal migrants. You suffocated us with taxes and bureaucracy. You crushed our farmers, livestock breeders and fishermen. You are shutting down European factories costing thousands of jobs. You destroyed the nuclear family. You impose on us the woke agenda, the green madness, the Islamization of Europe, and you use our money to pay for the millions of illegal migrants that have torn our neighborhoods apart. You have harassed and murdered, and in the end, you give them papers so that they can vote. But you gave us paper straws, tethered bottle caps, and gay pride. You're not just miracles best student. You have surpassed her, Ms. Wanderling, mired in scandals, with serious allegations of corruption, Pfizer-gate, missing messages, and refusal to submit to scrutiny. And all of this without the legitimacy of the European citizens vote. Just with the backing of the socialist and Weber, Ms. Wanderling, you have devastated us. Wow, wow, wow, that was really quite something to see. She was obviously pretty upset, but this is what we keep hearing, right? Over and over and over again in Europe, and now Canada wants to join in the fun. I mean, what is in it for Carney? Can I just ask, like, what is he getting out of this? Because I'm just looking at what Canada could become. And I don't think it's a good thing for Canada. And it brings us to Alberta. Alberta is a very important part of Canada. Bernie's got himself a big old Alberta problem. Because Alberta's like the King of Canada. They've got all the oil, they've got all the industry, and newsflash for you guys. You know what? Your paint's big energy. So in Canada, they get Alberta. It's responsible for like 15% of the economy. So a Canadian EU deal, woo, Alberta knows, you know, it's economies built around an industry that is totally at odds with everything that the EU's climate and regulatory policy stands for. Green energy folks are not going to like this. Not at all. And Alberta, by the way, was already pretty darn bad. Over the whole tariff trade war debacle that they blame Mark Carney for. I mean, Danielle Smith is like, I'll take Trudeau any day over this loser, Carney. Here she is saying this is ridiculous. Like, why are we going to have tariffs watch? Although I understand the need to respond strongly to these tariffs, I cannot think of a more disastrous policy decision than cutting off or taxing Alberta's oil to the United States. Doing so would absolutely devastate the Canadian economy. It would not only extinguish the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of Albertans. It would economically hobble our friends and neighbors and other provinces to the east. Yeah. So she's smart. She was already livid with Carney. She knew that those tariffs were going to be disastrous. So I just wonder what she's thinking about this one right now. Is any arrangement, any arrangement whatsoever that basically would allow Europe to have any kind of regulation, ability over Canada's energy markets. The carbon rules that they're going to project on to Canada. I mean, this is going to create a political collusion within Canada itself and certainly in Alberta. Like, if I'm in Alberta, what am I saying right now? Who needs this? No, no, no, because we're actually doing pretty well on our own. We got 160 billion barrels of proven oil sans reserves. We got four million barrels a day that were pumping out right for provincial oil production. That's what I'm talking about. We make up 15% of Canada's overall economy and hey, you know what? The US needs oil. Alberta needs a better trade agreement. Alberta is kind of ancient to leave Canada, right? At least portion of the population. Danielle has actually made it so that in October, they're going to have that secession vote. So why not become an honorary United States state. America would gain greater access to oil. Alberta gains access to our protection, our economy, and zero tariffs. I mean, I'm just saying it makes a ton of sense. If Europe can invent associate membership for Canada, then why on earth can't we the United States create an associate state? For an independent Alberta. Time is perfect, right? This fall, I told you, it's happening in October. Alberta is going to vote on whether or not to advance its succession talks. I think it's coming on October 19th. And if it leaves Canada, it's going to join the US maybe as an associate state. Alberta would gain guaranteed access to the American market. A far better, far easier regulatory alignment where we actually are for the drilling. And we want them to get the oil out, no more Canadian, or for that matter, European red tape, right? Protection from cross-border tears. Looks pretty good. So I'd say this. Canada, you know what? You and Corny, you and Canada have every legal right, right? To choose your own partnerships and you go for that. But just know that those partnerships and those choices come with consequences. Especially when more than seven out of ten merchandise export dollars depend on the country next door. The United States. So if Brussels and Ottawa together believe that this new political relationship can be invented out of thin air, I'm just saying they should not be surprised. Not be surprised at all when a burdens and Americans begin imagining our own new relationship. You with me? Canada? Fine. Go take a good hard look at Europe. Go to Europe. Be my guest, right? Because that gives us the excuse to pursue a deeper partnership with Alberta. North America's political map. It suddenly looks far less settled and we may be getting an honorary 51st state after all. We want it. Canada hates us so much that they're going to Ursula for protection. They're willing to sell themselves, right? And their own sovereignty right out the window because they have TDS that bad. Like, look, why is this happening? Why would the EU even want Canada? Well, not because Brussels isn't in love with maple syrup or anything or anything like that. They actually want something very specific. They want the land the Canada sits on. I mean, Courtney listed it himself. Critical minerals, right? That he said are needed for AI and compute as well as the energy sector. But there's another important reason. The so-called flagship joint project in the Arctic. More on that in a second. But just remember here, just remember Europe is still trying to wean itself off of Russian energy in Chinese minerals. The EU imports more rare earth magnet refining stuff from China than anywhere else in Canada. Ooh, they got critical minerals. One of the top producers for Lithium, right? The chips, batteries, weapons, all need this stuff. And Canada's got it. And of course, you know, you get oil gushing all day long out of Alberta. 15% of Canada's GDP is Alberta. So it is one valuable place. And of course, you got Greenland too. Courtney has already committed himself to Greenland's sovereignty. He is giving Denmark and Europe exactly what they want. I mean, he just spoon-fed it. Remember, if the Davos form back in February, here he is. Courtney, take it away. Your hair looked a little better that day. On Arctic's sovereignty, we stand firmly with Greenland and Denmark and fully support their unique right to determine Greenland's future. Yeah, it's a huge applause. I think he was working on this deal back then. I'm just saying, these things don't happen overnight. You don't suddenly come forward with Ursula and announce that you've got this new, you know, honorary membership, whatever you guys are going to work that out, okay? Whatever you're going to call it. That doesn't happen overnight. Something's going on and something was going on all along, which tells me you were negotiating with the United States of America and the President of the United States of America in bad faith, Courtney. So all is fair in love and war, which means listening over yet. And you know what we want. The President said it pretty loud and clear this summer at the NATO Summit in Turkey. Well, that's what hurt my relationship with NATO. Because Greenland doesn't help Denmark. Denmark doesn't spend money to really help Greenland. But it's an important part for the United States. And it's surrounded by China ships and Russian ships. And that's not going to happen. The ships is not going to happen. It was Greenland that, and it continues to be, that should be controlled by the United States, not by Denmark. And when they wouldn't go along with it, and with all the money we spend to help them with Russia, and we don't have to spend any money, we could remove all of our soldiers out of Europe. Because as you probably noticed, Europe's a very different place than it was 20 years ago. A lot different, much different, to much different places. different and they better be careful with immigration and energy. If they're not careful with those two things, you're not going to have a Europe anymore. Okay, thank you very much. Yeah, okay, he made it really loud and clear and he's done this over and over and over again, right? I mean, here's just another example for you. We need Greenland very importantly for international security. We have to have Greenland. It's not a question of do you think we can do without it. We can't. If you look at Greenland right now, if you look at the waterways, you have Chinese and Russian ships all over the place. And we're not going to be able to do that. We're not relying on Denmark or anybody else to take care of that situation. So he's communicated this quite actively, right? Over and over again. So what do you know? 10 days ago, Ursula suddenly shows up in Greenland. Ursula goes to Greenland and she pledges $250 million for security. That's a lot of money, right? $250 million suddenly for security. And she was talking about minerals and she was talking about satellites. She was talking about energy. And then she said that Greenland's future is for Greenlanders and Denmark and no one else. So I think we should be clear. I mean, we were born yesterday. That handwriting was on the wall. The message was aimed at one person. That message was aimed at one Donald Trump. Because Trump's the one that won Greenland. And he said it over and over and over and over and over again. So if you think about it, Europe is out there looking for a hedge against both Beijing as well as a hedge against the United States. It's no longer right in the text for NATO anymore. No more blank checks for you guys. You're gonna have to pay your own fair share. Meanwhile, Karni wants a hedge against American tariffs and us taken over as the Patriarch and making them the 51st state. So Karni and Ursula are out there trying to sell this deal as something that makes all the sense of the world because everybody has similar values. Yeah, they may, they may, they may, right? You know, the LGBTQWMBA. I saw that. Cat Crazy Sam. I think that was you. That was cute. Um, yes, very similar, similar values and just in case you missed it. And just because I enjoy laughing at this, we'll take one more look at these similar values because I'm sure this lady in Ottawa sounds just like all the people in Brussels. This is abhorrent. Okay, I got ya. You know, Ursula and Karni, they're going to try and sell this on we are the same. We have similar values. We value green energy and progressive liberal nonsense and the LGBTQWMBA. But it is actually about something bigger. It's about supply chains and it's about the high North. It's about the Arctic. And they're trying to cut us out. They're trying to cut Donald Trump out. So I don't think that's going to go over so well. I mean, he was very diplomatic again today saying, well, you know, if it turns out that there's, you know, some reasons that are not on the up and up for them doing this, then I'm going to consider that a hostile act. And we're going to impose more tariffs, more tariffs, more tariffs. So this alliance for the future or strategic autonomy, you actually need to translate it. You need to translate it into we want the free and Arctic. Europe wants Canadian rocks. Europe wants Canadian oil. Europe wants a Canadian flag on the Arctic. So it doesn't have to choose between Trump and China. And that is why Europe wants Canada. As for Carney, I think he's just a terrified little stubborn spoiled child who doesn't know what he wants, but is so offended by one Donald Trump that he's willing to do stupid things and sell his country right down the river. This isn't over. Not at all. Not at all. All right, but we are going to turn to China because tonight rumors are flying in China and flying all around the web tonight that the premier Xi Jinping may have suffered a stroke and is in the hospital. It comes after he didn't show up for the Gallaudinner at the Bricks Summit in New Delhi. And that's kind of unusual for him, right? Because they kind of, you know, they go by the script and there's a Gallaudinner and they're going to do the photo ops and everything. I mean, this whole episode, by the way, of the alleged stroke was caught on tape and I'm going to show it to you. It kind of complicates things, full disclosure, but we're going to look at that. And we're going to talk about this rumor and how it first began. The first began, I want to show you this tape, okay? So this is a tape of Modi speaking at the Bricks Summit in New Delhi. And he all of a sudden stops and he turns to Xi Jinping and he asks, is it okay? It's just a brief two-second thing, but somehow this just ignited a firestorm watch. Is it okay? I better play it again, right? Because that was even less than two seconds. Is it okay? Is it okay? And so all of a sudden, there are all these rumors flying around. That clip is everywhere, by the way. And in the last 48 hours, I can tell you that this has taken a darker turn. People are suggesting that the Chinese leader didn't look so good. He looked really uncomfortable when that was happening and that he went down. Earlier in the week Xi Jinping was in India, as I said, it was the first time in seven years and it was all for this Bricks conference. And you know, he's supposed to have these photo ops and there were supposed to be lots of speeches. He was there. Putin was there too. I mean, the whole gang, right? Because Bricks. What does that Brazil, India, China, Russia? And there's sort of that developing world that is increasingly becoming their I say kind of developed, right? Maybe they don't need a handouts anymore. It appears he skipped that gallon dinner. Why would he do that? Why would he not make the group photo shoot? And then there are these reports that he flew home on Sunday. So what really went down? I mean, we do actually have video of him. I'm gonna show you. He was on the plane leaving. But before I get to that, let's go to this reporter here, Juan Zhu Xi, who is with the opposition, basically here in the U.S. And I called him a reporter. He's not really a reporter, actually. He's basically and somebody who opposes the regime there in Beijing. And so he wants nothing more than to see this regime toppled. And he put this out. Rumor has it that Xi Jinping fainted at the Bricks summit hosted by India, forcing him to cut short his visit to India and return home immediately. It has said that a team of experts from Beijing's 301 hospital made the diagnosis. She suffered an ischemic stroke commonly known as a transient ischemic attack with the fifth plenary session of the CCP's 19th Central Committee approaching. She contracting such a severe illness could mean he is unable to continue holding power. Once the CCP regime loses control, China will face fragmentation and civil war with the regime liable to shatter at any moment. Well that was quite a thing to say, right? And he's got a bunch of tweets on this. And it actually was picked up by a guy who's a good reporter, Bill Gertz over at Washington Times who covers China. And he wrote rumors are flying in China with Xi Jinping being taken ill during his visit to India. They include claims that he suffered a minor illness to experiencing a stroke worsened by a failure to treat early. Some wild claims say rival group armies are mobilizing for civil war now confirmation. But Treasury Secretary Besan is meeting with Chinese counterparts today and we'll see if the summit for September 24th is still on. Now don't forget we have the big summit, right? With Xi, they're going to be out there in the Rose Garden on September 24th, the President of the United States and Xi Jinping from being from China. And if this is true, right? Then I don't think we're going to see him. So we'll know soon enough, but the Internet's version, you know, it is not so kind or tidy to one Xi Jinping, right? And again, I want to caution you that these are all right now, just rumors. Because China has its story and it's sticking to it. China said, you know, he just didn't go to the gala and he flew out the next day and he's been back in China ever since. But you know, it's kind of interesting to see what they're all saying. I think this is this is Gordon Cheng. He's a good friend of mine actually and Gordon's a very, you know, he's not going to just push something just to push something, but he's saying, again, I think what we're all reporting here that there are these rumors out there, sensational rumors that the Chinese military has freed two of Xi Jinping's most powerful enemies. Wow. Okay. So that's that's kind of amazing. Bo Xinglei and Zhao Kong Kang, forgive my pronunciations. If these rumors are true, they're hard to believe she will not feel safe leaving China. So Gordon is making the point that he may not do that summit with the president, president of the United States on the 24th of September, if these rumors are true because he can't actually leave the homeland. So in a way, if the rumors aren't true, he's kind of up a creek without a paddle because on the one hand, everybody's saying, well, if he backs off this September 24th summit with the president, then that suggests that he's not in good health. And if he does come, you know, maybe he's at risk of something going on back home. Again, you know, you get to qualify that this stuff is just rumors. I want to go to this particular part of the video, and I promise I'll show you the video of what allegedly went down inside that hall with Modi after he asked, you know, is everything okay or is it okay? I should specify not. Is everything not are you okay, but is it okay? I would also say that if there's any truth to this at all, then it could have a huge impact, a huge impact to the world on the world. I mean, keep in mind, Trump is preparing to host Xi Jinping as I said, and at the end of the month in September, and so that's a big deal, right? We're supposed to be making progress towards something. But if he's for any reason indisposed, it's going to start a lot of conversation about the opposition in China and whether or not the opposition is ready, primed willing to do something to step in. Here is the departure video, and this is actually from a video India source that apparently caught him as he was leaving. Again, he didn't attend the gala. There are some rumors online that he may have had food poisoning. He looks around, I mean, he looks okay to me. I, you know, I haven't seen a ton of footage with him. So I don't know if that's his typical gait or typical posture, but he did, here, let me, let me move my picture so that you can see him then walking through onto the plane. And then the next thing we know, apparently he lands in Russia. Forgive me. He lands in China. He lands back in Beijing and actually Russian TV. That's where I was going. You see, there is a method to the madness. I'm just running a few steps ahead. The Russian TV, the state media actually put out this video, and the guy that I told you about that is the person who very much is part of the opposition to Xi Jinping, this gentleman, Wan Zhun Ji, he's saying that this is fake, that this is just AI, and that the Russians put this together to try and save face for Xi Jinping so he could buy some time. I'll show you the video. I mean, it looks real to me. And don't forget. It's coming after this, right, remember? Is it okay? And then we see this. Okay, so you see Xi Jinping and so you can imagine, like, is it okay? He's looking at his earpiece and some people are gathered around and they all seem to be looking at the earpiece to me. I mean, that's, but again, this, you know, other reporter is saying that this was created. So, I think you're going to take all of this with a grain of salt, but here's one of the problems. Like, when you live in a vacuum, such as China, you're not going to get any information. I mean, so how can you trust anything they say because, you know, they, they may tell you the truth, they may not. Most times, they're not telling you the truth. There's a big story in the epic times the other day, actually, about how everybody has to be super cautious now if you're living overseas and you're a Chinese citizen that is living overseas, say in the US or in Europe or anywhere, you have to follow certain protocols and you have to check in with them. I mean, they're like really clamping down because according to the epic times reporting, they don't want it being known throughout the world that China's economy is having some struggles. I mean, imagine that. It's totally crazy, right? Like, we can't even conceive of that, but it's a very tightly, tightly-run ship. And so when you start getting this stuff, like this guy, wanching G, and if you get a chance, check out his stuff. I mean, he's got a whole series of these reports and he's just going on and on and on. I mean, he's got 301 hospital. They're apparently, you know, the experts there at the hospital have made this diagnosis. If he's completely wrong, it is, wow, one heck of a story because they keep coming up with new details, et cetera. I think the bottom line on all of this, like just to be really clear is that we're going to find out very soon, right? I mean, is this just a rumor that the opposition started? Because they want to try and weaken the authority somehow of Xi Jinping? Or is this real? I mean, that's what we just don't know. Again, you know, this is fascinating. This entire thread with him. He's saying that his own doctors treated him on the spot that he refused in Indian hospital because he was too worried that any information that would come out in the Indian hospital would then be fed out around the world. And so New Delhi, you know, they didn't want New Delhi being able to see any of the files. And so that's why they had the special flight home and that there was apparently a helicopter off the tarmac. I mean, it goes into great detail, right? In Beijing, to take him to the PLA's 301 hospital and where they then came forward with this, and it's all rumored, this diagnosis of an ischemic stroke. He apparently didn't go to the big shindig because he didn't want to get treated in India's ICU. So that is the version that is spreading right there, okay? Obviously no Chinese confirmation, no Indian confirmation, no confirmation whatsoever. You you it whose great radio host and I like you a lot, put out the tweet I just showed you from the Washington Times reporter earlier today just saying, like, look, not Gordon Chang who I know, but Bill Gertz saying, listen, he's a serious reporter, you know, this is just worth watching. Again, just rumors at this point. But to talk about, you know, the the Xi Jinping in that way is so specific, I haven't seen quite anything like that before. I want to point out, X put a community note on at least one of those claims. But the rumor did not stay in exile accounts. I mean, again, because you've got Bill Gertz putting it out into the US sphere because you've got Gordon Chang, Gordon said something as well, according to it, it made the Daily Mail. By the way, the Daily Mail had a story on it as well. And the Daily Mail was talking about all these rumors and they quoted Gordon saying, she's not well. So I don't know. I mean, it could have been a minor illness, it could have been nothing. He could have been like, you know what? I want to get home to my country for any reason whatsoever. But everyone's talking about it. And then you pile on this level of detail, say, for example, from Gordon, the sensational rumors that the Chinese military has freed two Xi Jinping's most powerful enemies if these rumors are true. And he points out they're kind of hard to believe, right? They're like, more wild and more wild and more wild, you know, she's not going to feel safe leaving China. You're talking about rival groups, mobilizing, I mean, they had a rival groups in China. I thought he got rid of them all, right? I didn't think that there was even the potential of any rivals in China. As for Treasury Department, we don't have any word there. Apparently, you know, this reporter Bill Gertz went over to Treasury and said, hey, you know, any word, look, he wrote, no confirmation, but Treasury Secretary Besant is meeting with Chinese counterparts today. And we'll see if this summit for September 21st is still on. So the bottom line here, guys, is we don't know. And I think we're going to find out in like seven days or less, right? Because September 24th is right around the corner, and we'll see whether or not Xi Jinping actually makes it to this level. I want to point out something else that he said on X today, I still almost call it Twitter. He said, you know, Bill Gertz, to go back to that tweet. He just doesn't traffic and gossip for sports or for sports, so watch that space. It could be relevant Xi Jinping is what, 73 years old, 73 years old, right? He's got no successor, his term limits are non-existent. He purged so many portions of the senior military. And so if his health is in jeopardy, it would be a state secret. Okay, a serious state secret, which means the minute he skips a dinner or a prime minister is out there asking if he's okay, even if it's just as simple as, is it okay, right? This vacuum fills up and excuses are given and rumors are created. It's sort of unbelievable, but this is what happens. And now you get the opposition group tweeting from the US, calling this video that we saw from Russian state TV is nothing but AI, I told you, you know, it's pretty good to me. What do you think? I mean, who knows, right? The AI is actually kind of remarkable. And there's just not a lot of information. We're not getting much from India. We're not getting much from China. They're just saying, yeah, you know, he's fine. It might be kind of nice if he came out and addressed people, then maybe we'd have a better idea, but I guess we're just going to have to wait a little bit longer, right? It's just a little, little, little bit longer. We'll find out soon enough. If you haven't subscribed, do me the favor of making sure you subscribe to the show, make a comment. Do you think she is okay? Tell me. I mean, is this going to be the opportunity a lot of people were waiting for, like I said, well, no soon enough. Can we talk for a second about AOC? We talked a little bit about her yesterday, right? And how she had to weigh into that whole thing with Ed Sheeran, National Complete Ed Sheeran's music on the radio anymore, because she's mad that he's not standing with, what is that guy's name? Macklemore or something, he's like a rapper. I was looking at the comments yesterday, you guys were so funny, because you're like, "Yeah, I have no idea who he is." And I'm like, "Yeah, I had no idea who he was." But anyway, he was the opening act for Ed Sheeran, and he said, "Free Palestine." And the next thing you know, Robert Kraft is like, "Yeah, I don't think I want you as my opening act and my stadium." And so fast forward, Ed Sheeran's like, I'm still gonna do the concert. So Ed Sheeran's out there, like one man band, totally solo, he's lost all his opening acts, he's lost his band, he's lost everything, but you know, the show must go on. Way to go Ed Sheeran. So he's out there doing that. Alexandria Casio-Cortez is out there criticizing him for it. We talked yesterday about her hypocrisy, her total hypocrisy though, because I have around tape saying de-platforming works. She loves de-platforming as long as it's not somebody on her side. You see, you can't have it both ways, AOC, and nobody ever said she was smart, right? She's the bartender from Queens who got a big opportunity in a big gig. And if you wanna know the truth about her, she was hand-selected out of a group of like 10,000. They went through a whole bunch of eight by 10 glasses, the black and white photos, you know? Like, you're auditioning for a part and the Justice Democrats, a socialist group, they found her. What do you know? They found her and they made her into a star. And now this star is very well going to be leading the Democrat party run into 2028. I mean, I'm all for it, frankly, because I don't think she's ever gonna get to first place. She's actually worse than Kamala. If that's possible, if that's possible, I realize that's a big statement. Anyway, Gavin Newsom, he's like out. He went on this little fishing, John with the CNN reporter who gets all, cozy, cozy, cozy with all his sources. And he's out there fishing. It's just this weird, like, I'm like, you guys wanna like a job at the fishing channel or something, this is a little bit weird. Anyway, they're fly fishing. And somehow Gavin just lets it out that he's not gonna run. If Kamala runs, we know Kamala's running. I mean, Kamala has no way to earn a living, right? Unless she's out there running for something. So Kamala's running and Gavin is like, nope, I'm out. Ooh, Gavin Newsom is out. If Kamala is in, you got Rokana, Kamala. Yeah, I don't know. She runs, but we'll see. I know she's called around. Yeah. When I, I wouldn't run if she ran. If she ran, you will not. Of course not. Why would it? Really? Oh, you're that good a friend. Or maybe is it because you are that worried? You are that worried about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who is now, according to the latest polls, that'll live for your dying New Hampshire. Don't ask me what's going on there. I'm from there. I can't figure this one out. Anyway, they must be glottens for punishment because you're gonna pick a candidate. It's not gonna get to first base. O.C. is in the lead, ladies and gentlemen. So I want to, we're almost out of time, but get to your future. I'm sure you saw the poll in New Hampshire that had you as the leading candidate, leading choice for Democrats. First of all, are you gonna run for president? I mean, I'm focused on winning the midterms. I'm running for Congress right now. But I mean, do you see this as something? I know you've said you're open to it. Yeah. I haven't, well, I haven't ruled out the possibility and I'm very humbled to the tremendous amount of support out there. I think that we have a responsibility to remain focused on the midterms and not on our individual aspirations or plans. And running for Senate against Chuck Schumer is that also something that's possible? I mean, I think that anything is possible at this juncture. Hey, I mean, when you're leading the entire Democrat field and everybody seems to want you for president, how are you gonna turn that one down, AOC? I don't think she will. I really don't think she will. 'Cause I think she's got a heck of an ego. Wasn't this a woman, did you want to be an actress? Was that why she was working as a bartender? I'm just asking. I mean, I remember seeing the sandy and grease tape, right? This is singing around the playground. She was an economics major, shocking at Boston University. Note to self, be very careful about the economics department at Boston University, because somehow they're turning out socialists, I guess, like most colleges these days. But anyway, who is she? Who is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the woman who may be the Democratic nominee for president of the United States? She's a manufactured candidate. That's what you kind of need to know. And this is what I think is gonna come back to Hunter Watts. Back in 2016, we put out a call for nominations, trying to capture the diversity of background, of experience of the American electorate, the people that aren't currently represented in office. We got over 10,000 nominations, out of those 10,000 nominations, we found Alexandria. Great. So Justice Democrats has a nationwide call. They're looking for people in 2016. And my brother told me that he had sent my nomination in the summer, but I was like literally working out of a restaurant, and I was like, there's no way. Her profile is not what you think of as someone who should run for office, right? I grew up with a really politically engaged and attuned family, and we always were debating politics, talking about things, but we were never involved in the formal structures of politics. We saw these signs of someone who's willing to sacrifice their own future for the good of others. I remember at some of the moments that I felt really dejected about politics, the extension of the Bush tax cuts in 2010, and seeing that the same people were financing all campaigns, and I was like, what is even the difference of a Democrat and a Republican? That was a depressing part, right? Yeah, exactly. And so I like a lot of working people felt that cynicism, and I understood it very deeply. 2016 represented a re-engagement. That's when I started tuning in more to activism and really getting to the core of these issues. I remember that evening on Election Day in November. I was really disappointed and really sad, but I was not shocked. She was at Standing Rock trying to figure out what her next steps are, just like a lot of people were. What do you do when someone like Trump wins? My experience at Standing Rock was so spiritually transformative, being there in such an acute moral struggle. You really saw how it was more important than any material thing. I know, and so I walked out of that camp and all stuff. What do I do? I get it, I get it. But they did a whole documentary on this. They're like proud of it, okay? They're proud. We hand selected her. We got her 8x10 glassy, 10,000 people applied for the gig, and we found our politician, ladies and gentlemen. She's really good at social media. She kind of has walked the walk, talked the talk, because she was a waitress, she was bartender. She knows what it's like out there, and she can represent us. And I think it's really interesting, because when she first came into office, she was very pro-Israel. I don't hear that anymore. Now suddenly she's pro-Palestine, which is why she's out there defending the opening act for one Ed Sheeran saying it's not right to de-platform him, even though she was all four de-platforming back in the day. And as actually even said, that she won censorship in the media. I guess I'm going to be in trouble if she wins, right? That would not be good. Reminder to subscribe to the show. Please, if you're just joining us, make sure you subscribe. Make sure if you already are joining us and you've been on the channel for a long time, double-check and make sure you are still subscribed, because I get a lot of notes from people saying, "I don't know what happened." But I was somehow mysteriously unsubscribed to you, Trish. So please double-check that. I would just say AOC, if she's really going to go down this road, she's got a little bit of work to do. I mean, I'm just thinking like they got to get someone in there that can coach her and teach her how to think, how to talk, how to answer questions like this one, Munich, February 26. Remember? Would and should the U.S. actually commit U.S. troops to defend Taiwan if China were to move? - You know, I think that this is such a, you know, I think that this is a, this is, of course, a very long-standing policy of the United States. And I think what we are hoping for is that we want to make sure that we never get to that point. And we want to make sure that we are moving in all of our economic research and our global positions to avoid any such confrontation and for that question to even arise. - I mean, that was almost as good as when PBS asked her what she thought about, Gaza, Palestine. I mean, I'm just saying, they're going to have to do a little work on AOC. She's going to have to actually maybe read a book or two, try and understand a little bit more on the foreign relations front because she might be up against JD, who's pretty slick or God forbid for her, a real Hispanic. Sorry, but I don't think she speaks Spanish. To one that does, Marco Rubio, who's actually down in Latin America, well, as of last week, he's back in Washington, I think now, but he was down there and he was meeting with all the leaders and what is he doing? He's sure in the whole darn place up. I saw someone in the chat. talking about Las Islas Navinas, down in Argentina, the Foclin Islands, when we come back to Argentina, hey, it could be in the cards. Well, we get Alberta. The Foclin Islands go back to Argentina. This is all looking very, very interesting. The world is changing, right? In real time, and it's because we are on the verge of something very, very new and very, very important. You know, typically politicians come and they go and you see changes for two years or maybe four years. We're talking about changes that will be really substantial and last the lifetime, right? Because whoever wins this game, and I want to call it a game, this quest for the natural resources that are so vital from critical minerals to oil to natural gas, whoever wins that, along with winning the AI struggle and battle. Funny how the Democrats want to shut down all progress, all innovation. Right? As soon as it starts getting going, they're like, oh, we got to regulate. We got to regulate. We got to regulate. You're going to regulate yourself right out of the position in the world. Thank you very much because China is going to take over. We can't allow that. AOC wants to take your money and redistribute it as she sees fit. AOC wants to regulate the heck out of AI. Now, don't get me wrong. I know it's scary. We put a piece out at 76 research just the other day. Actually, we've got a ton of comments. I appreciated that from you guys. But we said, hey, we get that it's scary. But you've also got to understand there was a ton of marketing money and lobbying money that is being done on the other side. And you need to understand what's actually, and not just the other side, not just the Democrats and Dario and, you know, anthropic itself that seems to want to shut down or put a moratorium on this innovation. But you've got countries that don't want to see us succeeding on this innovation in this innovation. I mean, when memdame is like no open AI in school, no AI period, no chat GPT in any of the New York City public schools, I'm like, it's memdame. When AOC is worried about AI, I think it's AOC when it's Maxine Waters that's worried about AI. I mean, does she even know what AI is? She was, she was badgering the Treasury Secretary earlier in the week on this. It tells me they've got their orders. They've got their talking points and they've got their lobbyists feeding them who knows what. But the president is like, I'm not backing down from any of this. He's like a dog with a bone. He's not going to back down because he knows that the stakes are that high, which is why he's also making this play for Greenland, which is why he's also making a play for Alberta, which is why he's also making a play for Canada as a whole in all of Latin America, guys, because it's the Western hemisphere coming together to secure our borders and our natural resources so that we have a place in the future of this giant world. If you haven't gone to 76 research, I've had it on the screen long enough. Please make sure you do go check that out because we have some wonderful portfolios there and hopefully you are investing in this. I like to call it Magnomics. There's a free version of it. You can go to investinmagad.com actually. That has a nice ring to it, right? Investinmagad.com. What I tell you yesterday on oil, what did I tell you? Didn't I tell you, you know, you get 18 million barrels a day now flowing through the straight-of-horn moves. You've got the Saudi pipeline that's coming back online, at least half of it. You get a deal with Continental, Harold Ham's company, down in Venezuela. Hey, you know, we're looking at Alberta too. So we are going to get the oil. The question is, can we get it fast enough? I think we can. I think it's actually going to completely upend the Democrats' entire strategy going into midterms, meaning we got a chance to save this thing, guys. We got a chance to save it if you want more on that. Go look at yesterday's program, yesterday's live show, because we talked all about it. I have seen such an outpouring on comments. I'm looking, yeah, Karnie is liberal. Yeah, he's definitely liberal. I see that. A.O.C. thought the highest level setting on the toaster was called, okay, you guys are funny. Very, very funny. Anyway, this is a big moment. This is a big moment. And I said before, and I'll say it again. This is what we call the front lines of history. So thank you. I love doing this. And I love that you're here with me for all of it. I won't stop. Even if A.O.C. winds up as president, which she won't. She'll try and restrict all of our speech. I won't stop. So find me here. Find me on Spotify. If you haven't gone to the Spotify channel, go check that out. You can get the audio and the video link there. And of course, I'm here live on YouTube every day. I'll see you tomorrow. [BLANK_AUDIO]

Podcast Summary

Key Points:

  1. Mark Carney and Canada are pursuing a strategic alliance with the European Union, proposing Canada as the EU’s first associate member to counter U.S. trade pressures and Donald Trump’s influence.
  2. This move is seen as a betrayal of Canadian sovereignty, especially by conservatives who warn of increased taxes, regulations, and immigration burdens that would harm Canadian industries and citizens.
  3. Alberta, a key economic and energy hub of Canada, stands to suffer under EU-style environmental and regulatory policies, prompting calls for a separate, U.S.-aligned status as an honorary 51st state to protect its oil economy and independence.

Summary:

S. trade tensions and Donald Trump’s policies. While Canada’s leadership, particularly Mark Carney, frames this as a move toward shared values like green energy and progressive policies, the analysis reveals deep concerns about sovereignty.

influence, driven by fear of Trump and a desire for strategic autonomy.

FAQs

The proposal is for Canada to become the first associate member of the European Union, based on shared values like environmental sustainability and diversity, and aimed at strengthening trade and strategic cooperation.

Canada is seen as seeking a strategic alternative to U.S. trade relations, driven by concerns over American tariffs and a desire for greater autonomy, especially in areas like trade, energy, and immigration policies.

Critics argue that such a move would lead to higher taxes, increased regulations, and significant strain on housing and job markets due to European immigration policies and regulatory demands.

Alberta is highlighted as a key economic player due to its oil industry, and there's concern that EU environmental regulations would directly impact Alberta’s economy and energy exports.

Carney is portrayed as being driven by fear of Donald Trump and a belief in open borders, possibly prioritizing ideological alignment with Europe over Canada’s economic dependence on the U.S.

Critics argue that the alliance could undermine Canadian sovereignty by subjecting the country to foreign regulations, tax policies, and immigration rules made in Brussels, rather than Canadian decision-making.
